Gardens
Located in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City, Myriad Botanical Gardens & Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory is a 15-acre urban oasis that offers a variety of attractions for both locals and visitors. The gardens feature formal gardens, a tropical conservatory, and even a dog park. Visitors can enjoy the serene green space with streams, an interactive playground, and live music at the contemporary band shell.
Loved my experience here! Beautiful gardens to sit, relax and admire! I really enjoyed how most of the park is free to experience. They have really nice art pieces throughout the park. They also have a really fun children’s park which has a neat rainfall experience for all the kiddos to just have a blast at! My favorite was looking into the pond and viewing all the massive coy! A must see for everyone who enjoys hanging out outdoors!
David K — Google review
The Myriad Botanical Gardens is an interesting one compared to other botanical gardens I’ve been to before. The outside area is open to the public and free. The indoor area is also open to the public but $10.50/adult. Taking a look at it from the outside it is clear that it is not that big. It looks like 30 minutes would be ample time to explore the whole thing. I thought that the beautifully maintained outdoor area that surrounds the indoor area was enough for me. I probably walked around the perimeter for about 20-25 minutes at a leisurely pace. If you have time to kill and really like botany, paying the entry fee may be worth it for you. The nice woman at the welcome center did say they have indigenous plants there as well as a waterfall.
David C — Google review
We visited during the Pumpkin Festival. Highly recommend! Great value. I enjoyed the arboretum itself too. Many tropical plants, succulent and cacti. Though I do hope they compost or cook those 10,000 pumpkins!
Analemma S — Google review
This was my first time visiting the garden. My experience was so magical. I love plants, so seeing all the variety of flowers, herbs and trees was amazing. It was so peaceful just to sit and enjoy. There was a dog park and lots of different water features. I highly recommend for you to stop by if you are in the area. It was a serene place for me.
Brigitte C — Google review
The plants are so pretty in the Botanical Gardens building as well as outside in the surrounding area. If you don't do well in the heat, you might not be able to go to the second floor. I asked someone who works there and she said it is usually about 120° up there. Well worth looking at though if you can stand the heat. Very beautiful place!!
Carolyn F — Google review
My family loves this place! My parents took me and my brothers here when we were kids, and I loved it. I now take my kids, and they love it as well. Definitely a cool and unique botanical garden/greenhouse experience. I also love the unique plants you'll find walking through the greenhouse, some are unexpected (and hidden/hard to see). All the walkways and scenery surrounding this building are beautiful and a joy to walk through!
Justin V — Google review
A great and lovely place to stroll through. The conservatory was fantastic. A word of caution. I read somewhere they had a restaurant and I saw signs in the garden pointing the way. But the restaurant closed down at some point in the past. If you walk across the street, northwest corner of gardens, look for the Devon nebu building where there are different eateries. There was plenty of metered parking on some of the streets around the facility.
Max H — Google review
Have walked the grounds outside before, but finally got to visit the inside recently. This place is truly a piece of heaven on earth; so much to admire and take in the beauty of! All of the parasols hanging above were an elegant touch. Can't wait to come here again as soon as I have an opportunity!

Lake
Lake Hefner is a popular reservoir lake in Oklahoma City, offering a variety of outdoor activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy sailing, fishing, and birdwatching on the lake. The area features trails for biking, running, and in-line skating, as well as opportunities for kite flying and games at Lions Children's Park. Additionally, the lake boasts one of the state's largest public golf courses and a skate park designed for intermediate skaters.
This place never disappoints, I love visiting to see the water, birds and nature in general... Beautiful views and so peaceful every time I go... Good place for family gatherings, picnics and etc... This lake is a must visit 😍
Kenneth B — Google review
The lake has a very chill environment, no drama. Caught some good size fish here and it’s a great attraction for locals. The paved road is for walkers and cyclists only so you don’t have to worry about cars. Quite a few eateries here and boats for rent. It’s a cool environment for date night and taking the family out. Golf course and playgrounds available here too.
Chitbox D — Google review
I am in OKC two or three times a year, my wife and I travel with Big D, Daisy. This lake is a perfect place to stop and walk, picnic, or just relax. There are plenty of pathways, lots of friendly people and nice shady places.
Alan B — Google review
I love going to Lake Hefner for a walk with the kids. It’s a peaceful and beautiful place, perfect for enjoying the outdoors. However, there is sometimes trash around, and some people don’t clean up after their dogs, which can be a downside. Still, it’s a great spot to relax and exercise.
Maria Z — Google review
Free parking is in few mins walking distance, not many available. Otherwise the closest are those restaurant's private parking. Super windy and lake side is not very clean.
Mia S — Google review
Only wish people weren't so filthy. The fishing dock was so nasty. You had to dodge about 20 dead bait fish so you didn't step on them. Lake overholser is better in that aspect.
Sky C — Google review
Lake Hefner, Oklahoma City’s radiant gem, sprawls over 2,500 acres, its waters echoing the legacy of mayor Robert A. Hefner. A haven for restless spirits, its surface dances with sails slicing through untamed winds, tempting bold sailors while teasing the novice. Seventeen miles of trails hug its shores, alive with runners’ strides and cyclists’ fervor, each step tracing the lake’s gentle curves. Beneath, bass and crappie glide, luring anglers to cast into dawn’s glow or dusk’s fiery embrace. Holding 75,000 acre-feet, Hefner quenches the city’s thirst, a lifeline cloaked in beauty. Picnickers laugh under ancient oaks, golfers chase dreams on nearby greens, and Hefner Grill hums with warmth. Sunsets ignite the water, painting molten gold across its expanse. Though X whispers of water quality concerns, Hefner’s allure endures—a wild, timeless sanctuary where nature’s pulse and city’s heart entwine, beckoning all to linger.
Debasish S — Google review
You want to relax? You want to just walk? You want to run? You want to bike? You want to see sunrise or sunset at beach…. This is best place in okc to do all these. Ppl come here to just walk around the lake and it’s very relaxing and pleasant. There are restaurants by the light house area to dine and some of them are pet friendly too.

Martin Park Nature Center in Oklahoma City offers a surprising natural oasis with 2.5 miles of scenic woodland trails, a nature-themed playground, and a picnic pavilion. It serves as both a recreational area and an educational facility, providing opportunities to observe local wildlife such as squirrels, red cardinals, owls, and coyotes.
It's such a beautiful park area in the middle of the city. It's a tiny escape into nature. The trail is very easy. The visitor center was a fun, hands-on, and observational learning area. The staff was knowledgeable and passionate about teaching visitors. We loved this place.
Danielle M — Google review
I had an amazing time at Martin Park Nature Center! The park is absolutely beautiful with plenty of trees, so you can enjoy a nice, shaded walk. My friends and I had a wonderful time strolling through the trails and taking in the sights of deer, birds, and even some turtles. The wildlife was breathtaking, and the flowers were gorgeous. We also found a peaceful river that made for some fantastic photography moments. It’s a perfect spot for families, with great parking and convenient hours. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking to connect with nature and unwind!

So beautiful, peaceful and very well kept!!dare I say one of the best nature centers in OKC😮💗tons of different wildlife which is kinda crazy for it being in the middle of city life and the park being right off the highway. the visitor center is super cool and they take very good care of the animals! very kid friendly, clean bathrooms, 10/10 recommend!(always look out for animals too cause theyre everywhere in this park)☺️
Autumn G — Google review
🗺️ State Park Review: A Landscape in Distress Visiting this particular state park was an experience that stirred both appreciation and concern. Set against a backdrop of natural beauty and historic significance, the park offers glimpses of what once must have been a thriving ecosystem. But now, signs of environmental imbalance cast a shadow over the scenery. 🌳 Nature’s Struggle Scattered throughout the trails were dead or dying trees—limbs brittle, trunks hollowed. Rather than signs of seasonal change, these felt like evidence of deeper ecological disruption. The underbrush was littered with debris: fallen branches tangled with human trash. Plastic bottles, wrappers, and cans mingled with leaf litter in unsettling harmony. ♻️ Environmental Concerns This degradation points toward pressing environmental issues—whether it’s invasive species, disease, drought stress, or insufficient conservation efforts. The build-up of unnatural waste affects soil health and disrupts the natural decomposition process. Wildlife patterns are shifting too, with fewer sightings of birds, deer, or even insect activity where one would expect ecological vibrance. 🚯 Missed Stewardship Opportunities Park management seems overwhelmed or under-resourced. While signage encourages “Leave No Trace” behavior, the lack of regular cleanups and visible conservation projects undermines that message. With some attention to reforestation, waste removal, and habitat restoration, this park could be revived into a haven rather than a cautionary tale. 💭 Final Thoughts The visit wasn’t without merit—it served as a wake-up call. Nature doesn’t rebound on goodwill alone. It requires stewardship, action, and respect. This state park deserves more than passive admiration—it needs active protection.
Big B — Google review
Went for a walk here for the first time and I have never seen such a well kept, clean, and gorgeous park! I loved the bird watching section and all the stunning views everywhere you looked. Will be coming back for sure!
Ana W — Google review
I so love nature and this place is definitely a must visit... They have nice trails to walk and a huge area to sit and read, eat and etc... You will love it if you're into nature and you can take some really nice pics there as well...
Kenneth B — Google review
What a beautiful trail and place to experience wild life. So peaceful even though its next to the highway. Small area for the kids to play. Will be back soon.
H. C — Google review
Martin Park Nature Center is one of our family’s favorite places to visit in Oklahoma City. It’s such a peaceful spot to enjoy nature, and every trip feels a little different. We always look forward to seeing the deer that wander through the trees and spotting the many types of birds along the trails. It’s a great place to slow down, walk, and let the kids explore without feeling rushed. The inside nature center is another highlight. It has live animals on display that give the kids a chance to learn up close, and the staff does a great job of keeping everything clean and informative. It adds an educational piece to the trip that keeps the kids engaged while still being fun. One of the biggest hits with our kids is the tall wooden bridge. They love walking across it, stopping to look around at the trees and creek below. It makes the trail feel like more of an adventure for them. Overall, Martin Park is the perfect balance of relaxation and family activity. It’s free, well maintained, and always enjoyable. We always leave talking about the deer we saw or the birds we spotted.

This iconic attraction is a must-visit for families and couples alike, offering a picturesque backdrop for memorable photos. The expansive grassy area surrounding the wheel invites you to spread out a blanket and capture delightful family moments against the whimsical fairground ride.
Cutest spot to hang and relax! Everything is perfect! Hammocks. Ferris Wheel. Bocce Ball. Photo Op. Cornhole. Picnic Tables.

This is such a beautiful spot! They have great prices and passes for the wheel and really let you enjoy the ride and views. The workers are kind and look like they really enjoy their job, that makes me want to keep coming back, how you treat your staff is important! You could spend the whole day here, fun games, hammocks, occasional food trucks and live music or entertainment! Plus the night market on fridays makes it easy to support local artists and makers!
Danielle S — Google review
Beautiful spot to hangout with family and friends! You can even have a good date here to enjoy a beautiful day out at the park! I didn’t do the ferris wheel but there are other activities to do here while you overlook the Oklahoma City skyline!
Daniel D — Google review
Great thing to do while visiting OKC Huge area for kids to run and for adults to enjoy. Located near a walking/biking trail. Place has enough seating even a few hammocks to lay down n relax. We visited early Sunday and got to spend time alone with only a few people. The Ferris wheel was operating so we got to experience it. Not expensive. Bring a blanket and enjoy the park
Benny D — Google review
Personally, I didn't like it, because I prefer Ferris wheels with air-conditioned and closed cabins, but if what you're looking for is an open Ferris wheel without any type of safety belts or straps, it's perfect for you.
Maleja R — Google review
This is a very cool feature for Oklahoma city. Oklahoma City always surprises me with so many great entertainment venues and places to go to and go out to. Photograph opportunities are abundant. And honestly some of the finest dining & restaurants that I have had in the United states.

The Skydance Bridge, located in Oklahoma City, is a must-see for visitors and locals alike. This 380-foot long pedestrian bridge was inspired by the sky dance of the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Oklahoma's state bird. It soars over Interstate 40 with its wings reaching 185 feet into the air. The bridge gracefully spans across Scissortail Park and offers stunning perspectives for photos during both day and night.
Always a beautiful view. So many different things to do out there. Basketball courts, tennis courts, a park. Walking the bridge is amazing you can see the whole city. Definitely a tourist attraction to see.
Coco C — Google review
I moved to OK 3 years ago, so thought it was about time to see this. The park is beautiful. Clean, well maintained. The bridge is stunning. Lots of locks have been placed. I'm scared of heights, but this is definitely worth the walking over.
Susan G — Google review
Great architecture. Nice bridge and good access to walk across I-40. Great access to other areas of the park and to the downtown area on both sides of the bridge.
Muscle M — Google review
Such an amazing architecture, the Skydance Bridge really is, that represents the state of Oklahoma more than just Oklahoma City.
NSM — Google review
Very distinct attraction point and nice design. The only problem is that bridge is closed on south side as park on that side of highway is still under construction.
Mikhail B — Google review
Love going to this park. Rain or shine, it's always clean & beautiful.

Beautiful public art work. We love visiting Scissortail Park and crossing over the bridge. There is an area of the bridge that is open and it could be a little scary if you are afraid of heights. You can place “love locks" here 💞.

This is such a cool structure that brings our state bird, Scissortail Flycatcher, to a larger than life representation and gives our city a unique landmark. This spans I-40 directly on the south side of our beautiful downtown OKC area. I love this addition to our skyline.

Will Rogers Gardens is a stunning 30-acre park in Oklahoma City, featuring a formal rose garden, an arboretum, and an education center. Visitors can explore the Ed Lycan Observatory with the state's largest collection of cacti and succulents, wander through the Charles E. For a free entry garden this was wonderful. Just like the OKC Memorial this place is free, which I find to be a uniquely Oklahoma City thing. The flowers and the plants are beautiful in September but I did miss the Iris garden. There were weddings and quinceañera’s happening as I walked the beautiful gardens. Check out my photos to see what it’s all about!

The garden is beautiful and well maintained. We went there today, 7/18, for their fairy garden workshop. I wasn’t able to catch his name, my family and I were running a bit late at the beginning, but he did wonderful running the workshop! He was full of knowledge on the variety of plants there and kept the magic alive talking as the fairies are real and telling the kids which plants they would enjoy in the garden. I learned a lot about the types of plants there and he was very patient with all the kids. And when any of them found something interesting to them he matched their excitement, educated where he could, and encouraged the exploring and learning. After collecting a variety of plants and gravel we returned to the greenhouse to build the fairy gardens. He kept the energy up and had some fun fairy trinkets he crafted himself and gave a lot of fun ideas on how you could build your garden. He gave so many fun ideas me and my husband wished we paid to build our own! lol Overall a wonderful experience and felt we learned so much and the employee running the workshop really enjoyed his job and made it all the better.

We walked the gardens, stopped a couple of times to look at the lake, and enjoyed the beautiful greenhouse. I enjoyed how quiet it was and that no one was bothering us which is always a plus because it allowed us to do some discovering in our own. Bathrooms are in the building before you head out the back and they also have a water fountain. Once you head out back, you walk towards the side of the greenhouse and you are given quite a view of the different varieties of cacti on display. Once we walked through the greenhouse, we continued onward towards the lake and enjoyed the trails that circled the lake. It’s a wonderful view to take in and I encourage perhaps on a cooler day to bring a blanket, a beverage and a good book!

Nestled high above the city on the 49th floor of the Devon Tower, Vast offers an unparalleled dining experience that combines exquisite New American cuisine with breathtaking views of downtown Oklahoma City. This fine dining establishment prioritizes its stunning vistas over elaborate decor, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the panoramic scenery from 726 feet up. The menu is a culinary delight featuring fresh seafood, free-range chicken from Oklahoma, succulent steaks, and house-made pastas crafted with locally sourced ingredients.
Our recent dining experience at Vast in Oklahoma City was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, every detail was thoughtfully executed, resulting in a truly memorable evening. Our party of seven was hosted in a private dining room, complete with dedicated staff who were both highly professional and exceptionally accommodating. The service was seamless and attentive throughout the evening, creating an elevated yet relaxed atmosphere. The chef personally curated our menu for the evening, and every course was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and expertly crafted, showcasing a balance of flavor, creativity, and technique that rivaled top-tier dining experiences in much larger cities. From the perfectly prepared entrées to the impressive appetizers and sides, the quality and care were evident in every bite. Vast also boasts a diverse and well-curated wine and cocktail selection. The sommelier’s pairings complemented the meal perfectly, adding yet another layer to an already impressive culinary experience. Our total bill, including gratuity, was approximately $1,300—well worth it for a private, fine-dining evening of this caliber. If you’re looking for a truly elevated dining experience in Oklahoma City—whether for a special occasion, a business gathering, or simply to treat yourself—Vast delivers on every front. Highly recommended.

Vast has amazing views and excellent service. The staff were all pleasant and efficient. The bread and sides were all good, but the steak was disappointing. Ordered medium NY strip. One half was on rare side and the other on the well done. Someone visiting might enjoy the view, but that's where it ends.

Dinner in the clouds for my Wife's birthday was excellent. Aaron was a great server and we felt like we got the royal treatment. Thank you for an exceptional experience.

Everything about our dinner here was amazing. Aaron led us through the menu and answered all the questions we had with such ease and a wonderful attitude. You can tell he loves what he does and where he works. He really made our experience one to remember. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and the host sat us in the corner by the windows which was absolutely beautiful. Aaron gave us a birthday dessert which was also just fantastic. Thank you all so much for such a memorable, wonderful evening. And Aaron thank you for the tour through the restaurant that was a great way to end our night.

This was our first time here & we were celebrating our anniversary. The food was amazing & the atmosphere of the restaurant was great! The Ryegerita drink was so good! I tried the duck & my husband got the surf & turf. Aaron was our server & he was very friendly, & gave us great suggestions for our meal. For dessert, he brought out a yummy chocolate cake. He also gave us a tour around the restaurant as it wasn't too busy, which was really neat to see. All the rest of the staff were warm & welcoming. We will definitely be back!

We went to Vast for their buffet lunch and really enjoyed it! The food quality was great, and we love that they change the menu every week, which keeps things interesting. The week we went happened to be Mexican cuisine, and while it wasn’t our personal favorite theme, everything was still well-prepared and flavorful. We’ve been here for dinner before and enjoyed that even more, but the lunch buffet was still a great experience overall. The views of downtown OKC are unbeatable and make the meal even better. Definitely worth checking out for both lunch and dinner!

A wonderful place for a delicious lunch! We brought our kids, and they loved the experience. Our server was so friendly and helpful, and the view over the city was stunning. The buffet was delicious -- the meat was so tender, and the creme brulee in particular was perfection.
Beth K — Google review
The premise was cool, there’s a private elevator and the view was nice. We did the tasting menu (vegans and regular) the timing was quick in the beginning and slowed way down after the 3rd course. The only course I enjoyed was the tomato salad which was just a deconstructed bruschetta. I would not go to this restaurant again.

Nestled in the heart of Oklahoma City, the Lake Hefner Lighthouse is a charming attraction that draws visitors to its serene lakeside setting. Inspired by 1700s New England lighthouses, this picturesque structure stands proudly at Lake Hefner, a manmade oasis created in the mid-1900s for both water supply and recreation. The area buzzes with activity as locals enjoy cycling, jogging, and dining at nearby restaurants.
Very nice location! Several high end restaurants surround this area. As you walk along the bank you will often notice huge carp hanging out around the shore. Great place for fishing as well. The lighthouse is a great place to see the sunset. Well kept biking/running/walking trail around the lake. Definitely recommend!

Lake Hefner is one of the most beautiful spots in Oklahoma City. 🌅 The walking and biking trails are perfect for enjoying nature, especially during sunrise and sunset. The iconic lighthouse by the lake adds so much charm and makes for amazing photos, especially in the evening when the sky changes colors. 📸 The lakefront restaurants offer stunning views, and it’s a great place for family outings, picnics, or just relaxing by the water. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the scenic beauty around the lake. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in OKC! 🚴‍♂️🌊🌳

A Surprise That Touched My Heart at Lake Hefner is easily one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Oklahoma City but this visit was extra special. As we walked along the lake, the soft breeze, the sound of the water, and the warm glow of the sunset made everything feel still and sacred. Watching the light dance off the waves and the lighthouse standing tall in the distance felt symbolic a reminder of love that steadies and shines through life’s seasons. The walking trails, lakeside views, and nearby restaurants make Lake Hefner a perfect place to unwind, but for me, it became a moment of reflection and gratitude. Sometimes, love finds the simplest places to speak the loudest. Well worth the ride not just for the view, but for the peace and quiet it brings to the heart.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lighthouse at Lake Hefner, Oklahoma Visited in the evening, just before sunset, while on our way to Arkansas. The place is absolutely beautiful — calm breeze, glistening water, and the sun reflecting perfectly over the lake. Though we had to rush and couldn’t stay till sunset, I can only imagine how stunning the view must be at golden hour. Definitely a must-visit spot for anyone who loves peaceful walks, scenic views, and a touch of serenity before hitting the road.

This place is amazing. Catch some rays ☀️ ☀️☀️. Completely free. There's a few restaurants in the area to grab something to eat. Kids loved the little beach area by the light house. If you want to catch the perfect sunset I highly recommend going there. Arrive early as the place starts to get crowded as sunset approaches

Very interesting canal ride though Bricktown. Our pilot, Robert, was very well versed about the history of Bricktown and Oklahoma City. He pointed out all that has been created over the last 30 years that has helped make OKC a destination. He had some good corny jokes which made the ride more enjoyable. Well worth both the price and the time.

We had such a great time on the Bricktown Water Taxi! Our tour guide was funny, knowledgeable, and kept everyone entertained from start to finish. He really knew how to get the whole boat involved and made the ride feel lively and welcoming. The tour itself was such a neat experience—cruising along the canal through the heart of Bricktown, hearing about Oklahoma City’s history, landmarks, and fun local stories along the way. It was the perfect mix of learning and laughter. You get to see the murals, restaurants, shops, and even some hidden gems from a whole new perspective. It’s definitely a must-do in OKC whether you’re visiting or local. Fun, relaxing, and a great way to take in the city’s atmosphere!

Feels more like a floating commercial than a cultural tour. While the guide shares a few interesting facts about Oklahoma City’s history, most of the ride is spent pointing out chain restaurants and hotels like Starbucks and the Residence Inn. You can’t even see many of the actual monuments or landmarks from the boat. Walking the canal would probably give you a better view and a more meaningful experience.

What a super-fun, touristy thing to do! Our boat captain, DJ, was wonderful, with interesting facts about our excursion, which he presented with humor! We definitely learned some things while having a great time!

A must-do activity when visiting Oklahoma City. The tour was not only fun, but also informative. I learned about the history of the state, downtown, and revitalization projects in Bricktown. They have some interesting artwork, pretty landscaping, ducks, and plenty of great restaurants to learn about along the way. Our boat driver and tour guide, Heather, was very friendly and funny. The tour is about 45 minutes, and fortunately our boat wasn’t so full to be crowded. The tour is appropriate for all ages (but if you have little kids who cannot sit still or be quiet long, it might not be for you since it’s close quarters and others need to hear the driver speaking). Get tickets in advance because it appeared some tours were full / sold out. Way to go OKC for building this super cool river feature through the Bricktown area and having a water taxi tour for people to enjoy!

Our tour guide was incredibly kind and quite knowledgeable. The boat ride was wonderfully relaxing. I had envisioned a typical boat ride, but it was so much better hearing the stories behind each statue and painting. The Henry Overholser Mansion, a historic landmark in Oklahoma City, was built in 1903 by Henry Overholser and his wife Anna. The mansion is located in the Heritage Hills neighborhood and features impressive Victorian-style architecture with French stained glass windows and Antwerp oak paneling. Despite its initial puzzling location outside the city's core, the area around the mansion has since developed into a tree-lined neighborhood. Visitors can take guided tours of the 11,000-sq.-ft.
Most historic homes don't have the original furniture and items and they are either perfectly restored (and look like no one has ever lived there) or left in disrepair. This home was donated in the late 50's with everything in the house included (clothes, furniture, dishes, etc.). It was left the way it was lived in. That way it's not fully restored but was in livable shape. Unfortunately a recent leak in the roof means that some repair is necessary, but I hope they continue to maintain the lived in look. It's not really a true tour. It's a short 5-10 minute overview and then you are left to discover the rest of the house at your own pace. Plan on 30-40 minutes.
Michael M — Google review
I rated it one star not because of the tour or the house, but the experience of trying to go on a tour. We were in town a few days and planned to visit this house one morning. I love historic buildings and history so I was excited. We tried buying tickets and booking online, but there was not a place to actually book tours. We looked at a few different days but none of them had a way to pay for tickets, although the website shows they were open. Once at the mansion, we were greeted by a piece of paper taped near the door that there were only hosting the 2pm tour. I understand that things happen, but frankly, the website should have stated something about them cancelling all but 1 tour. I would have been fine if there was a banner on the website that said tour could be cancelled or something. There was no indication that the mansion may not be open during posted business hours. We ended up missing it because we had other things planned for that afternoon and no faith the tour would be available other days.

I had such an amazing experience here, the woman working was such a sweet lady who told us soo many interesting facts about the house. Honestly the tour would not have been the same without her. Unfortunately I do not remember her name. I definitely recommend visiting here if you enjoy old homes or history of oklahoma.
Kauai C — Google review
Although they were in the process of restoration after a large roof leak, there was still plenty to see. I arrived just after opening, so I was treated to a kind and enthusiastic attendant who gave me a lot of great introductory details. In October, they are hosting a multi home tour in the neighborhood which also has many large historical old homes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ Henry & Anna Overholser Mansion – Oklahoma City We had a great time visiting the Henry and Anna Overholser Mansion! The place has such a nostalgic and historical feel — walking through it really takes you back in time. The mansion itself is beautiful, and you can tell how well they’ve preserved it. The only downside was that we weren’t able to go upstairs. We paid $25 per adult for the full experience, but the upper level was blocked off. The tour guide explained it was for safety reasons since they didn’t want too many people on the staircase at once, which I understand — but based on the crowd size that day, I think it would’ve been fine. It just felt like we missed out on part of the experience. The kitchen was my favorite area — really cool to see how things were set up back then. I even used the old telephone to call my own phone just for fun! 😂 Everything was roped off, so we couldn’t get up close or enter the dining and lounging areas, but overall it was still a cool experience. I love history, so I appreciated the chance to step into such an important piece of Oklahoma City’s past. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy historic homes and local heritage.

One of the best preserved museums I’ve ever been into. It’s like stepping into the past, and everything down to the China and the carpet is original to the house. Really interesting, and awesome house. You need to check this out.

Castle Falls is an elegant restaurant located on five acres near downtown Oklahoma City. The historic venue exudes old-world charm and intimacy, with its lush landscaping, ivy-covered pergola, and waterfall creating a romantic atmosphere. Modeled after a Normandy Castle, the architecturally significant structure was built using salvaged artifacts from Oklahoma City buildings in the 1920s and 30s.
Absolutely perfect. Just took my wife here for her birthday and can't say enough good things about the food, wine, service, and atmosphere. Marshall was simply phenomenal as our server and we highly recommend this restaurant. As for wine, the Tintero Moscato sweet white wine paired very well with the Chardonnay chicken and Ratatouille.

We had a wonderful meal here with Marshall providing great service. Unfortunately the place was empty on a Friday night, but at the same time that afforded us a very intimate and quiet dinner. The steak was tender, flavorful, and flame grilled to perfection. The appetizer came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Marshall made sure to make a few adjustments and recommendations to accommodate a gluten allergy. Although there were no gluten free options for dessert, the meal was still fantastic, and the dessert list looked wonderful. The kitchen staff was receptive to the special dietary needs and ensured we had a great experience. This venue is beautiful outside. The interior is a bit odd, somewhat older and dark, but the great food and great service overshadow the aesthetics.

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Castle Falls for dinner, and it was an experience worth sharing. This charming restaurant offers a unique blend of history and culinary excellence. Note that Castle Falls is only open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. For our meal, we ordered steaks and crab cakes, and both were exceptional. The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The crab cakes were equally impressive. The service at Castle Falls was top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The decor exudes a historical charm, and the atmosphere is both cozy and elegant. The small setting, with only nine tables, provides an intimate dining experience. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, with a pleasant noise level that allowed for easy conversation. Overall, our dinner at Castle Falls was a delightful experience. The excellent food, outstanding service, and charming ambiance made for a memorable evening. I would highly recommend Castle Falls to anyone looking for a great dining experience, especially for a special weekend outing.

Not nearly as nice as the pictures and website would have you believe. It was dilapidated inside. The window we sat next to was grimy and covered in dust. They were out of the appetizer we wanted and the beer my partner tried to order. When we asked what the soup of the day was, they told us they "didn't make one." Not that they ran out. They just didn't bother to make it. This was a Saturday. I can't imagine what it's like on a slow day. Our server was seemed annoyed at us through the whole dinner, and when we asked multiple times for him to take our appetizer/salad plates so we would have room at our very small table he ignored us. 2 stars for how great everything tasted, but it is not worth the exorbitant price they charge. The food is absolutely delicious, but they need to think about the rest of the experience as well if they're going to ask you to pay $380 for a meal for two.
Stephanie O — Google review
My recent birthday dinner at The Castle was wonderful! There were five of us, and we had a semi-private area to ourselves, which made the evening feel extra special. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent – attentive without being intrusive. On top of that, the building itself is super cool and really added to the ambiance. We all had a fantastic time and loved every minute of it! Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a great meal out.

We love trying new restaurants and especially enjoy the very unique ones like this gem! We did sit outside since that is always our preference and it was a perfect view. The scenery makes you feel so secluded and is very quaint. They cooked my steak exactly as I described, which rarely happens anywhere. This little castle was a perfect anniversary dinner spot! The inside looked as you would expect of an older castle style establishment. The staff were more than eager to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable. We will be return customers 😀

I took my now fiancé here and proposed. The food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned. It is a bit more on the pricier side but the quality is well worth it. The customer service was even better! Marshall really helped things run smoothly, including getting my fiancé‘s sister situated to take photos of the proposal which included giving her a heads up when we were coming and getting her dinner order so she wasn’t hungry while she waited outside. The property is beautiful. The food is amazing. And the staff is exemplary. Would 100% recommend.

This tropical conservatory is awesome. In a not too huge crystal tube they've managed to fit some ecosystems. You can find some orchids at the entrance, followed by a set of bromeliads and tillandsias. They even have a pineapple and some banana trees. Once you're inside, you instantly feel the warmth and the moist of a tropical environment. There's a main deck and some upper levels on both ends. On one side there are more desertic species. This conservatory is part of the Myriad Botanical Gardens. A larger space with a small lake with kois and ducks and some areas for performances and prom events. My only concern is they close al 17:00 (as everything in the area) and that the gift store doesn't have some extra 15 min left for souvenir picking. But that's just me, the place is awesome.

Beautiful lake, bridge & dam, recommend just before sunset. The walk across the bridge/dam is beautiful but very windy, make sure to wear a thick jacket. In order to see the sunset, you have to start walking from the east side. There's a walkway where you can use to access the bottom portion of the dam. After you reached the west side of the bridge, there are some picnic tables you can use for a little while until the light goes away. This is 3 miles from the outlets so you can do some shopping right after leaving here.

Jocelyn B — Google review
This area is slowly transforming into a great gathering space for food and family fun. The F&B on site includes Clarity Coffee, Taco Nation and The Big Friendly (local award winning brewery). Modern chic residential homes are mushrooming, making this a very cozy walkable community with the river trail just minutes away.

This place was cute! The coffee we had at Clarity was fantastic. We were disappointed that all of the other food venues were closed though.

I went down for the night farmers market and it was so fun, definitely recommend for everyone, I went by myself and it was very enjoyable! tons of local vendors, food trucks and business, live music, etc. it's one of my favorites to do on Fridays especially to get out of the sun

I had never seen or even heard of this area that was being built. I was driving by and stopped to look at this unique development. I immediately called my daughter as they will be buying their first home soon. I think these are adorable starter homes or homes for a single business person. I love that this space is finally being cleaned up and made into what looks like something that has the potential to be a beautiful addition to what's already been done to improve Oklahoma City and begin to put us on the map!

"People in OKC aren’t afraid to step out of the ordinary. They put their hearts into creating something fresh, working hard and dreaming big. That’s why the farmers markets here feel so alive, and why you’ll find more night markets than you’d expect—each with its own unique charm. While some cities stay stuck in the past, OKC shines with a spirit that feels truly different and full of life."

This place has farmers market every Friday you will find vegetables, baked bread, tea , mushrooms, art and other stuff, very nice place I love the look of the houses

Took our kids to check out wheeler Park. Its a really cool concept, but could use some repairs. Nearly every hammock surrounding the lawn was broken. The ferris wheel itself and the lawn games are really great. Unfortunately it was too windy the day we went so the ferris wheel wasn’t running. We definitely look forward to trying it again on a less windy day. Hopefully the hammocks will be repaired as well!

Bodies of Water
Arcadia Lake is a large artificial lake in Oklahoma. It's popular for fishing, water sports and swimming, and has three hiking trails that offer a 13-mile loop through shady forest and mixed-grass prairies. The lake is also a wintering spot for bald eagles.
It is a fun spot to bring your family and animals to enjoy the season. Very beautiful.

Me and my husband always take our boys here to swim and fish!! Everytime we have gone we've had a blast and it's always clean!! Definitely recommend going here!!

Oh boy, Granny does not like this lake. The lake is pretty for the area but the people do not know customer service. Granny had her windshield replaced and her forgot to get her sticker. They have a strick “policy” that the do not replace stickers unless you have your old one. $40 charge for the new one. So, we found out that they don’t scan, track or anything else the vehicles so literally anyone can be in the park, as long as they have a sticker. The gate keeper just checks for a color and that a sticker exists. Seems wide open for people to cheat the system, and I’m sure they do. Well if they didn’t, they will if they ever talk to staff. It’s a shame people have to mess stuff up. But that’s ok, we will save our $40 in additional Edmond tax and spend it elsewhere. I guess if you go, tell them granny sent ya and flip em the Avian.

I visited the park. It had well maintained trails, plenty of parking.

New to this lake but I've enjoyed what I have experienced so far. I love the swimming beaches are blocked off so water craft can not just pull up.
