On the last day of our trip to Kashmir, We went to Mughal Darbar for authentic Kashmiri wazvaan food and it was an amazing experience. We ordered 1 dish for four persons at Rs.1200/-. It was more than enough quantity for us. It was delicious and very tasty food. All the items were very tasteful. Good experience.
One of the worst restaurants in Kashmir.
Not good at all. We had originally ordered biryani, but the person taking the order recommended a combo instead, saying it would be better. However, the food turned out to be terrible, and the price was nearly three times higher. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant.
I recently visited mughlai darbar, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, with attentive staff who made us feel comfortable right away. The food was fresh and flavorful which was a must-try. The service was a little slow during peak hours, but the quality of the food made up for it. Overall, a great place for a relaxed meal with family friends.
The restaurant is excellent and serves authentic Kashmiri cuisine. We ordered the region’s famous traditional feast — Wazwan. One plate was more than enough to serve around ten people! The food was incredibly delicious, though quite rich and heavy, as it includes generous portions of rice and meat. The platter featured a variety of dishes such as kebabs, lamb, and chicken delicacies like Rogan Josh and Goshtaba. It’s a true taste of Kashmir — you must try it at least once!
I recently had dinner here, and I was quite disappointed. The food quality didn’t match as per my expectation. it tasted more like something from a basic roadside dhaba. The ambiance was decent, but the food needs a serious upgrade to justify the cost.
This was my second trip to Srinagar this year, and last time I had tried a different restaurant for the Wazwaan. While that place came highly recommended, a local friend later told me I should’ve tried Mughal Darbar for a truly authentic experience—and I’m so glad I listened! I went in with high expectations, and Mughal Darbar absolutely did not disappoint.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful—they even stopped us from over-ordering! The pricing is excellent, considering the amount of food you get. We paid just ₹1200 for one Wazwaan, which three of us thoroughly enjoyed and even struggled to finish. Unlike some other places, there’s no rigid “one Wazwaan per person” system, which makes it much more convenient.
The restaurant itself is spacious, with a traditional dastarkhwan seating area as well as tables and chairs for anyone who prefers that.
Overall, an amazing experience—delicious food, wonderful service, and a truly authentic taste of Kashmir. I would 100% visit again!

This Srinagar based organization produces a range of bakery and confectionary products. It has been operating for over three decades and is highly popular among locals. The bakery is known for its walnut fudge, patties, biscuits, coconut macaroons, cream puffs and eclairs. On request, the bakery also makes eggless fudge. All the items are delicious and worth trying.
Visited Jee Enn Bakery for the first time after 40 years and it is still as amazing as ever! We used to go here regularly when we lived in Srinagar from 1982-1986 and the coconut cookies, bonbons and walnut fudge brought back such fond memories.

Jee Enn Bakery, a reputated name in every household of Kashmir however these so called reputated shops are feeding unhygienic food. Just on the eve of Eid I brought a cake and same day I kept it in refrigerator. After 2 days when I opened it dead worms came out of it. Just on 31st May 2019 Food Department of Jammu & Kashmir had imposed a fine of Rs 2000/- on them for not maintaining the hygienic conditions in their factory. We are spending money for quality food and in return they just feed us dead worms.
While in Srinagar, once must try their walnut fudge. Also they have wide spread of other goodies…. Chocolate eclairs, coconut macaroons were also worth trying.

Today that is 15 January 2025, I bought pineapple pastry (Rs 100 per piece) literally it was such of bad quality that the flavor used was worst than pineapple flavoured syrup. The overall quality was so degraded that I am not able to give stars in minus.

I ordered a crispy chicken and got Soggy Chicken strips instead. The restaurant staff was adamant that it is Crispy chicken and not chicken strips. I could have agreed in part about the chicken part but could not find the Crispy part.

Cakes are good, but the traditional bakery items like baqarkhanis are below average. I think they use mediocre ghee in their preparation, and the prices are high for everything.
One of the finest & the oldest bakers in #Srinagar city. Their bakeries and confectionery items are crispy & tasty as well. Though, they recently renovated their shop, expanded their space & gave a new look. But, sad to see staff not following food safety rules at all, which is of utmost importance.
They touch bakeries & confectionery items bare hands & doesn't wear Food Gloves at all. Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 defines Food Safety as an "assurance that food is acceptable for human consumption according to its intended use." Food Safety ensures that food is safe for human consumption and involves handling, preparation, and storage of food in ways that prevent food borne illness.

We had coffee and traditional butter croissant, we also tried our hands at some pastries all of them had a distinct flavour to it . The staff was friendly and ambience quite welcome . Ordered pastery and Chocolate barfi from this store. Appreciated them for giving 10 percent discount on Ramadhan. This being Ramadhan, couldn’t taste the same before buying but the sales person assured that its fresh. But after reaching home and unwrapping the same for Iftaar ,Chocolate barfi was the most adultrated /chemically colored thing that taste buds totally couldn’t get back to normal in hours. Worst ever!! Pastry was not at all fresh and didnt taste that well. An iftaar spoiled and the worst experience ever. Whats the point of your discount when you cant provide fresh and worth having things at your bakery. This is a downfall for you. A shame for the lone Group in total.

. From the tender Rogan Josh to the perfectly spiced Goshtaba and Yakhni, every dish is a celebration of traditional Wazwan cuisine. The meat is cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth with layers of flavor. The ambiance reflects Kashmiri warmth, and the service is equally hospitable.

The place is clean, welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is just perfect for enjoying great food.The staff’s behaviour is always polite and professional.actually i visted this restaurant since 3 years.Every single person there made sure the service was smooth and friendly.

Horrific experience Chicken Kanti was completely uncooked and onions are sliced like potatoes. Third class cook even a dhaba can cook better than you do and calling yourself jazba quality ka. Honestly, the burger, chicken, and fries were kinda tasteless, not impressed at all 😕. But the butter chicken totally saved the day! Super tasty and worth it 👌🔥. If you go, skip the fries and grab the butter chicken!
I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken biryani. The quality of the food was pathetic. The chicken was completely raw , it wa neither marinated nor fried properly. The family members who ate that food felt sick. I used to be a regular customer of the bakery but now since they have degraded their food quality I will not recommend this to anyone. I also called them to report the incident and they calmly said they will get back to me snd and no one turned up after that.

I was disappointed by the service and the quality of the cake I bought from this bakery. The employees were rude and unprofessional, and the cashier seemed to be the one who encouraged this behavior. I did not come here to judge their manners, but to enjoy a delicious cake. However, the cake looked and smelled bland, and the taste was even worse. It was dry, crumbly, and flavorless. I would not recommend this bakery for cakes. Maybe their other items are better, but I would be careful about how they treat you. You might be better off looking for another bakery nearby.

Excellent bakery. The aroma of this place is enough to entice you. Located at Solina they also have a branch at Pir Bagh. I especially like their chicken patties. Also have a wide variety of freshly baked biscuits to choose from. Highly recommended.

Even after a huge competition with big names in bakery, they have succeeded in making the mark in terms of quality bakery and have a good customer base. Their rates are reasonable and provide humble service. The only problem is non availability of parking which makes it tedious at times to stop and shop there . I wish them all the luck!

In the year 2019, They have fully renovated this place. Now one can buy all the varieties here.
