After a long day spent sightseeing, we were in search of a good place to have lunch. We stumbled upon Eat On in Civil Lines. At first sight, it looked a bit too casual with no chairs and roof. The prices got us slightly worried as well, since it was too cheap. We decided to order food anyway, considering the massive crowd, the beautiful smell from the open air kitchen, and recommendations from friends. We got the kebab+biryani combo for Rs. 140. Since it is a self-service outlet, we had to pay and then get the food ourselves. The service was quick. We then found a table, and then dug in. The biryani was extremely tasty. It wasn't too spicy, and the balance of flavours was very good. The piece of chicken was big enough for the price. The shami kebab was most probably made with minced chicken. It was very good as well. The chutney went well with both the kebab and the biryani. There is RO drinking water and normal water available here, and you can purchase soft drinks as well. Good place to get a quick meal.

I ordered Veg Biryani through the IRCTC Food On Track app. I chose this place because its price was similar to the one offered by the train pantry. And Hell yes! it was a good decision. The quality of the Biryani was top notch. The quantity was enough for two people. The behaviour of the delivery person was also very good. Overall it deserves the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating.

This place need no explanation. This is the most famous Chicken Biryani spot for biryani lovers of Prayagraj(Allahabad)& nearby areas. I'm from Varanasi and I'm a big fan of their Biryani. Believe me it tastes different. Whenever I get a chance to visit Prayagraj I surely visit here. They serve Half plate for ₹80(1 chicken piece) & Full plate for ₹140(2 piece chicken) with Raita & Onion salad. They now have Mutton Kabab, Paratha in their menu too. ₹50 for 1 piece kabab & ₹20 for 1 paratha. It's a must have place for Non-Vegetarian people. Recommended with a big thumbs up 👍

This is best place for the chicken biryani, if you are in Prayagraj and you’re searching for the biryani then please don’t waste your time Visit directly to Eat On. Also this place is very region able and cost friendly. You’ll have to spend only ₹95 per Half plate and believe me half plate is enough for one person. Also kebab is also very tasty. I’ll definitely recommend this place. I’m sure if you’ll visit once and you’ll visit again and again. That’s all from my side.

Earlier I use to love eat on's biryani but lately the quality isn't the same. Kabab is a must have with paratha. Its really easily accessible and the food is on your plate within seconds. Great service.

Best place for biryani. Now it is very spacious as compared to earlier place i.e. civil lines near Sangam palace. Free Parking facility is also there. Rate has also been revised. Now 70 rs for half , 40 for one extra peice.

Kamdhenu sweets is a very old sweet and confectionery shop of Allahabad. They sell various kinds of sweets which r equally good. Though I am not a fan of their cakes , I found it okok. Their kulfi in summer is extremely good. There samosa ,kachori etc are good for mini hungers.

Had a very bad experience at Kamdhenu Sweet & Namkeen today (20th Oct). I visited the shop to buy Kaju Katli and paid ₹550 for 0.5 kg, but their employee handed me a box of mixed sweets instead. When I came back home and opened the box, I was really disappointed to see the wrong item. I’ve been trying to call on the provided phone number, but no one is answering. Either return my money or exchange the box with Kaju Katli. I’m not going to compromise just because of your employee’s mistake. Photos are attached for reference.

Visited Kamdhenu at MG Road. The shop is always busy and has a reputation to live upto. We tried only the Rabdi Rasmalai, which was soft & yummy. The studio was also tasty and had pieces of almonds in it. The parking is by the roadside. A well stocked shop for sweetmeats at Prayagraj.

Over priced goods/ food items and compromised hygiene. No seating arrangement for "have it" or for "dine in" options. It's only good for take away orders. Owner is rude and doesn't pay attention to customers advice to install air curtains to improve indoor hygiene of the shop.

A friend of mine bought a birthday cake for me from Kamdhenu Sweets, but sadly it was stale and had a foul smell. It was clearly not fresh and completely ruined the occasion. Really unexpected from such a reputed shop. Please maintain quality and ensure freshness in future.

The building with an impressive facade of the Raj era lies in an area full of malls and shopping centres looking like a relic from the past. The crowd are mostly from the Allahabad university,High court and vibrant political,literary and artistry types. The interiors and waiters in white uniforms also take you to Raj Era. The food here is upto the marks,although they need to work upon coconut chutney in particular,as it was similar in taste and texture with some street side stall,also the sauce they serve is of cheap quality. Rest the service,vibes of place is top notch,as like old raj days, you can witness some serious discussions from pov retired government servants. Also good thing is that there is separate dine in place equipped with AC for families.

A very old chain of coffee houses run by the employees cooperative society. It has branches all over India. I have visited their branches in Chandigarh, Gwalior, Kocchi and Shimla. Lot of memories with this place . When I passed my 10th in 1975 , visited here with some friend and paid Rs1.07 for one Masala Dosa. For same Dosa, This time I paid Rs 160 on 22/8/25. Place not well maintained but neat and clean and people like me will always visit this place .

I visited Indian Coffee House in Prayagraj due to it’s brand name but unfortunately, i am disappointed. - The masala dosa i ordered didn’t taste authentic, not even close to other original Indian coffee house restaurants. - Cleaning wise also okay okay, furniture is old. - Compared to ICH in Madhya Pradesh, I will not recommend anyone to go ICH prayagraj.

The ambience is good. The variety of Dosas is huge. The taste was more towards authentic South Indian food than is found in most restaurants. My suggestion as a South Indian would be to avoid Mysore Masala Dosa, but my North Indian wife said that the taste is more suitable for people here. Not only was service quick, the food was better than most places.

Best South Indian Especially masala Dosa Cozy Ambience

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but the staff's unprofessionalism completely ruined the experience. I visited this restaurant last night and was appalled by the behavior of the staff. Our server was rude and inattentive, taking ages to take our orders and forgetting one of our appetizers. When I politely asked him to correct the mistake, he rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath. Requesting owner to kindly change your staff or ask them to be polite and cull of manners. Unacceptable behavior!!

They charged over the price in all items. The print rate of water bottle is 20 rs but they charged 30 rs. They even charged more then actual price. We never want to comes again this restaurant. We are so much disappointed by the services of restaurants.

After reading reviews of many people I visited this place at around 9:30Pm. It was difficult to loacte the place for a new person loacted in Civil lines Allahabad. The restaurant theme was good and it looks like a very old restaurant in the city. The main course i ordered was very average and the naan was also not properly cooked. When I asked the person to replace it, after 2 minutes he brought the same naan as it is. The staff of the place was very inactive, no one was interested in taking order and it took almost 45 minutes to cook the food. Our bill was 387 so I paid 500 to the waiter, so he returned me only 100 rs and kept the change without even asking which was very annoying. I won't suggest people to visit this place as there are many other good places in Civil lines.

I would have surely given it a 1 star if I had not ordered masala dosa. The place is low in hygiene. The waiters were cleaning glass using a towel which did not look clean. The table seats were not proper and the waiter casually pointed us to a table which was not clean.So reluctantly I ordered hot and sour chicken soup. I have had this soup many times and this was surely one of the worst one. Luckily we ordered dosa which was nice. They had a scheme where they have one free for every dosa order. Not sure how long the scheme would last but this was probably another good part. So overall, if you are super hungry and there is no place nearby then only visit this restaurant. In that case my recommendation would be to limit order to dosa.

Till now the best dosa ever. I have travelled across South India but this taste was totally absent. Here dosa is cooked under desi ghee which gives you a flavour that you will not forget. The filling of dosa is extremely delicious which gives this place an edge over other dosa outlets. This place is almost jam packed and you may have to wait for your turn. A place selling sweets, drinks, chaats & such. We went there at around 7:45 PM and billed for lassi to be told that it was already finished!! We had badam milk in lieu, which was okay. The chaat counter and such are outside.

I visited Paradise in Civil Lines, Prayagraj, and had a mixed experience. I ordered Crispy Chicken Burger and the Chocolate Indulgence Pastry. Unfortunately, the burger didn't quite live up to its price tag. However, the pastry was absolutely amazing! If you're a chocolate lover like me, you won't be disappointed. Overall, it was an good experience, but I'd definitely go back for that decadent pastry!

Bakery items are ok only concern is the guard who stands on the door. He puts customers in such a situation that they feel embarrassed. He openly ask for money which I think is wrong, it should be stopped. I feel that the management is least bothered about it as it is happening under their nose and no body is taking any steps to stop such things.

I visited the cafe in the evening time and it was more occupied than usual. This place has great bakery section and some variety in fastfood. Also the prices are on the higher side considering the taste of the food. I recommend cold coffee with ice cream in drinks. The ambiance of the place is nice but sitting arrangement is limited. They also sell package eatable items.

The on-call order service is extremely poor. Staff is rude — they just pick up the call, ask to send requirements on WhatsApp, and then stop responding. This has happened multiple times. Last time when I went to receive my order (which was already paid for), they behaved as if they were doing me a favor by giving it. Very unprofessional and disappointing experience. Me and my friends went at noon. We had to call the waiter again and again. Service wasn't that nice. Usually empty. Good for birthday celebrations. We ordered paneer butter masala which was awesome. I went there around 10.30 pm and asked if they would take the order....they agreed but well, it was only for money! Very poor service...once we also had nonveg in our plate despite that we are pure veg. Earlier the restaurant was good but now u will get rice not cooked properly, NAN like a rubber which if u r angry, u can stretch to miles!! They sell u bottled water @ ₹100 and maaza of ₹12 @ ₹60 saying that supreme court has allowed them to do so. Dont go guys...hate this restaurant.

They serve very cheap quality of Mutton and do fraud on bill too.. We ordered a Mutton Kadhai but the meat is smelling so we exchange it with chicken, And shocking was that they included that mutton amount also in the bill.

Still, it's worth visiting at least once for the experience.

We just bumped into this place at Civil lines. We went in seeing the board, which declared that the place was started in 1942. However, we had learnt that this was the new branch of a trusted sweet meat shop. We were not disappointed, though the crowd was thin possibly due the joint being new. The place was well done up. Nice seating and good ambience. Lots of fried snacks, sweets and the usual Chaat & such. We tried the chaat papdi, Dahi bhalla & lassi. The lassi was served in a earthen glass and was served cold. The chaat papdi and dahi bhalla were also good. The total bill was 180/-. They accept cards, UPI & cash. There's not much parking and you can park on the road side. Didn't use their washroom, so can't comment thereupon.

Ambience was good waiters were friendly, we even took pictures with a waiter! Music was chill. Had an awesome time there! One of the most memorable nights in Allahabad! Would definitely recommend!

Food was normal for me, between 3 to 7 pm they don't provide some kind of foods sorry for not mentioning it bcz I don't remember but yes after 7pm every kind of food in menu is available. I would say a it's a nice and cosy place for couples who are uncomfortable in a crowd! And yes not a pub it's kind of bar.

This is in reference to swiggy order of 4 medium Lassi & Rabri, placed on 28th April 2025. A long hair follicle was packed inside the one if the Lassi. Disgusted us...... Dont ruin the name you have built. Be heedful of hygeine and packing, from next time.

But our order arrived, and I didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, so I left it at that and moved on 🍔. Life has its own ways ✨. Maybe if the universe wills it, I’ll cross paths with her again. With just a month left in this city, the thought feels both urgent and poetic ⏳🌌.

Liked the new crispy burger. But poor service and atmosphere. It's almost always crowded and the staff is over burdened which leads to bad service. Most kiosks don't work.

Located in civil lines near Shubhash Chauraha. Paid parking option is there. At evening there is a little or no place to seat. Now a days digital order system is there, you can directly order by yourself and wait for your order to prepare. All junk foods are available here. Everything a person should avoid. A lot of items are kept for long in freezer. Costly cold drink and bad sitting options. I don't know why people choose such place to go. Service is also not acceptable, you have to do everything by yourself. Even they don't call your name when your item is ready.

The table service was unavailable,the tap was not working.Also there cold drink have a lot of ice cubes unnecessarily which fades the taste of real cold drink and makes it tasteless and too cold to drink.

Okayish, but I would rather suggest not to dine in if you are planning to have fun time with your friends and stay for long but if you are there only for small greetings or food then definitely recommend it

Biryani was just okay, but raita was stale and smelling.

Very bad food, having no taste in foods, today I went to take Dinner along with our family we got very bitter experience Biryani was Iike veg. Tahri with lots of chilly and bhuna ghost was extra flamed (Jala Hua Meat ) overal very bad experiences

Good Food but Hotel manager denied to accept Card and reason given that machine is faulty, and said ATM is nearby. And when I said I have only Credit Card then he took machine out but asking 5% extra of billed amount. This behavior has forced me not to visit again as they do this act frequently. I will really miss the delicious food of Kohinoor.

Sardaar Ji Dhaba in Civil Lines, Prayagraj, is a popular spot with a nice ambiance and decent service. I recently tried their Kadai Paneer, which was good in taste but not extraordinary compared to the hype around the place. The paneer was fresh and the gravy flavorful, yet it did not feel very unique. One major drawback is the pricing—most of the food items are quite expensive, making it feel overpriced for the portion and quality offered. Overall, it’s a decent place to dine, but in my opinion, it is a bit overhyped and not the best value for money.

Visited this reastaurant with my friends to celebrate my 🎂 birthday .The rates are quite genuine,the taste is really good too also the behavior of the staff and owner was so good they constantly checked on us that whether we are liking the dishes or not and believe me it is worth spending money here. 😊 Amazing experience ✨️🥰😻😻

I am Roshan from Bihar. Yesterday I visited your restaurant because my exam centre was located there.I wanted to eat veg thali so I searched on the map and visited your restaurant. I had first called and asked if veg thali was available, they said it would be available, so I went. My worst experience till date was visiting your hotel . I have never eaten such a bad food in my life.And the person sitting at your cash counter was not behaving properly with me. All of the food was wasted , Dal makhani is the worst, there is only paneer in every type of vegetable, some are sweet, some are spicy,(It just looks good from the outside and as far as quality is concerned it is very cheap) and on top of that the charges are so high. I visited with my brother, ordered two plates for Rs. 607 and got this kind of food. Worst experience ever to visiting your restaurant, . Place consider my review And improve yourself, and don't fool the customers like this , thank You

It was a good visit. The place is easy to find, services were ok though some of the menu items were not available but whatever I ordered was ok but nothing extra ordinary. The portion of the food is enough for a person with normal appetite.

Food was OK. But I was very disappointed by unhygienic environment there. Washroom was worst than Sulabh Sauchalay. Highly dirty. Dining area was also not very clean. It only looks fancy from outside. Highly highly unhygienic restaurant. Staff is also rude.

One of the beautiful places to eat at the heart of Prayagraj city, Civil lines. You would get both veg and non-veg good quality foods here at reasonable prices. The quantity is also more than sufficient, like traditional dhaba. The ambience is also beautiful. You can bring family and kids here. Additionally, the owner will entertain you with songs in her beautiful voice. They also decorate it beautifully. If you want to throw a party for around 30 people, you can book it completely in advance for the whole evening.

Certainly the worst pizza in the city. Firstly they didn't deliver as per my order. Moreover, the pizza was completely tasteless. I wish Google had option of negative stars, so that cumulative rating should have come to zero! Such was my experience, Totally disappointed.

Pizza tast was just average.... didn't found great vibe .I ordered yum tum pizza which was spinach and paneer makhani sauce pizza bt there was not single taste of it I found it was just overloaded with mozzarella cheese and pizza sauce was tasting like a tomato ketchup . pizza was 400 with GST bt i didn't found it worth. Then we ordered cheese pav bhaji and brownie,cheese pav bhaji was also okayish it was not so cheese only they added few mozzarella cheese in bhaji and vegetable was not mashed properly then if talk about brownie it's tast amazing bt it was not soft even it was little hard to cut.

The worst experience I ever had. They had only two pizza varieties. Salad was also below average. You had to tell them every now and then to refill the salad. The service was hopeless. No professionalism. I would rate them negative if allowed.

The pizza eating experience could not be worse than being here. Extremely costly for the size and quality of pizza they serve. The pizza that should cost around Rs. 70-80 costs Rs. 225. And the taste is also not good enough.

I called this guy to check for the price the guy doesn't have any price list or tariff. He will say u have to come here to book the resort and depends on what u order for food The resort is a fake listing on Google for marketing but 0 in customer satisfaction. The way they respond you can get to know that they are un educated and just behind money not customer satisfaction. The also show a bad attitude on call. Humble request don't even consider this place

I will not recommend this restaurant to anybody . First reason :- the owner is cold hearted person and very arrogant person when we went for booking for a birthday party he imposed many restrictions but then due to name and Fame of the restraunt we booked there , the owner is a bad host, not welcoming and rude to the customer as the owner is a old person he was not listening to anyone and imposing his own rules and forcing us to listen him. Secondly he took all the money in advance due to that his service and food quality was worst . The reason behind taking advance was we all are in police service ....y this discrimination ?? But then that is ohk when the service would be good ....but food was wasted no one could enjoy the bday as food is the main reason people look for in a restaurant...third reason is we ordered for complete dinner and menu was prior decided but the sweet dish was missing the most imp things for which people look after dinner due to that it was complete spoiler embarrassing for us..people were asking for the sweet dish and we had no ans and the guy was not even taking responsibility of the mistake done by the management when we complained him he was not ready to accept his mistake that was the worst part and said that he will deduct the amount for the sweet dish,, but what about the insult we faced and the spoiler ??? Though the place is good but bday party needs decoration the guy does not allow to stick balloon to save the cost of white wash 🤣 cost there is high compared to other restaurants but services are worst and the funniest thing is in normal days even a dog is not roaming in the restaurant . I am very depressed due to the spoiler

Nice location. Very good environment. As I got training in CATC Allahabad so I was a regular visitor . It is just outside the gate of CATC. Most of the time very few items will be available . In terms of food the restaurant is just average.

I along with family member have visited many times and found good quality of vegetarian food which we have ordered. However, there is less option for instant food and some South Indian food like Dhosa is not available all time. Proprietor may think about availability of these items all around a day.

One of the best restaurant in Bamrauli. It Is a pure vegetarian restaurant. And the quality of food is also good. But It's little bit expensive but it's okay. And the service of the hotel staff is very slow..

Good food and service. Cleanliness is awesome. The arrangements are of good standard. But It could also reduce the service time. It tooks at least 20 min for the food to be served.

I only had sweet chilly potatoes, which were decent. Some of them were crispy a few were not. But it was decent may be the next time I will order a few more dishes. The interiors were okay, the steel in the table was not of the best quality as i could see a few spots of corrosion at places. Being at the main road in Ashok Nagar parking is a problem, especially for cars.

Over priced..... Not good for west indian or punjabi people..... They don't even know the recipe of popular dishes like paneer. After having the lunch with an empty stomach, the bill became 380..... Doesn't justify the food and service quality... Even the manager started arguing when gave some instructions related to food. Not recommended.

Had vegetarian lunch here. The food was overall good and tasty. Swiggy orders are also available here so thT you need not come here you can directly order online. Paytm is acceptable here and you may in turn get sone cash back also.. Hotel staff was cooperative as .it was clean .

Food quality is poor. Be careful about choosing food item it may happen that you will think something and you will get something. Food price is low. Not spicy food and taste is also not up to mark.

Food is good and tasty . Quality of food is good . It's fresh . But if you order to home , it will take about a hour to reach and the plastic cover they put on the food is very difficult to remove . The only thing about which I am disappointed is that they are bit slow for home delivery and it is bit costly .
