I went there for dining experience. Food (instead of Room) - 4.8/5 A bit costlier as compared to other cafes nearby but the taste of the chilli steak tenderloin was good. The rice noodles well complemented making it a well seasoned dish. The peach 🍑 smoothie was mentioned on the recommended drinks of the night. It justified it being the drink of the night. Service - 4.0/5 The server was zoned and clueless. I suspect him being drunk. But the lady in the reception held on her own but she looked visually frustrated with the server. Ambience (instead of location)- 4.5/5 Very nice laid back music-sports themed cafe in the heart of Laitumkhrah. The tables were clean and restaurant had no foul odour. Even the washrooms seemed really clean. I would personally visit again. Overall verdict - 4.5/5 Very good food prepared by the chef. The bill management system was efficiently managed by the staff. Please ensure the servers you have are proactive and work with a smile. Else I give a thumbs 👍 up to the place

Highly recommended by our driver so had to try it out. Their food was excellent. My friend took Chicken Bolgne Pasta and I Took Smoked Pork Shillong noodles. The pasta was good, the noodles were very full filling. It came with gravy and veggies separately inside a banana leaf with the chopsticks used as a holder. Very innovative presentation. Tasted very good. Nothing like I've had before. The only downside was they have a lot of stuffs from the menu unavailable. Desserts were completely off. No point giving the menu then. The balcony side is very good to sit.

This place is right in the middle of the Laimu market, the first thing you see when you walk out through the back gate of St. Edmund’s College. Prices are a little high for college students (hence I never visited when I was a student of SEC), but went there recently as an adult…cool place to sip a cup of coffee & look at the world pass by. Perfect view. On the day we visited, there was a power cut in the building so the menu options were limited especially in terms of beverage but on the whole, it was a nice & aesthetic dining experience!

Awesome food!! Loved the veggie burger here and fries!! They make their own burger patty which was super tasty! Amazing ambience and great music. Had a great time as a solo traveller and must visit if you're in Shillong!

An excellent restaurant! We had the veg momo with soup and the red rice with vegetables. All the dishes were excellent. The hot chocolate was also very good. Strongly recommend.

I'd read superb reviews so expectations were high, but I was the only customer (early Friday evening). The food was really good (I had momos and soup with mango milkshake) but none of the dessert options were available.

I can't understand why this place got such a high rating. The service was really bad. We asked for mayonaise with the French fries, and they just gave cocktail sauce and then we requested again to give some mayonaise but then they gave ketchup. But before they said they have mayonaise. Then the pasta had a completely milky taste,, I did not finish the meal. We didn't order any drink but they also didn't offer some water. This for a very expensive restaurant. It seems that they had good reviews in the beginning, when they still tried to give good service, but this was far to be found now. We had to ask 3 times for a waitress, but they were all not at the bar or at the floor. Too expensive for such a bad service! I will never come there again.

This restaurant is located near Police Bazaar, Shillong. They serve delicious Khasi cuisine. The service is good. One of the staff members, perhaps an owner or manager, was kind enough to help me with customizing the thali. The atmosphere is warm and cozy inside. Instead of chairs, they have benches like in classrooms which add to the charm. The prices are quite high in my opinion though. The place seems a bit touristy. Food: I got Jadoh (rice without pork pieces) with Khasi Special Chicken Thali. This customization was suggested by the friendly and helpful staff member when I mentioned that I was not a big fan of fatty pork pieces. The thali was nice and delicious. The side dishes and chutneys were interesting. The chicken pieces however were just trotters and I did not enjoy them. Jadoh rice was however so nice and flavorful, it probably had pork fat in it which made it quite flavorful. They also serve nice pork thalis and many other dishes including a fermented beans dish. Service: Quite friendly and helpful staff. Atmosphere: It is warm and inviting but with the benches, it can feel a bit cramped. Seating is also quite limited, it can be a problem at peak hours. However, I did get a seat without any wait time. Overall, a nice place to try local Khasi/Meghalaya cuisine in Shillong. However, the place feels a bit touristy and can be a bit expensive.

If you're in Shillong and looking for authentic Khasi food, this is a must-go place. Don't expect anything fancy here, everything is very basic, but the food is amazing! The pork platter gives you the taste of all of their pork items, Dosanjh is a great fried pork item.

The food was exceptionally delicious and flavorsome I was grinning all the while stuffing my face with the special Khasi pork thali! Special thanks to Deviss for making me feel welcome! :) Pew-like seating good for awkward introverts lol. Very clean and hygienic establishment. Very fairly priced as well even though there are no prices on the wall menus. My meal costs INR 330. Little surprise this family run restaurant won so many awards!

The food is excellent homely and tasty! One of the staff i. e. Davees is a very kind and helpful in choosing from the menu. We had pork thali which was really good and i had my first experience having khasi food in shillong!

We reached the place at 08:00 PM , being the first day in Meghalaya , we didn’t know that people finish dinner by 7:00 - 7:30 in the evening. But Davees was kind enough to offer us rice with mutton curry and pork curry. We enjoyed the Khasi cuisine. There was three varieties of pork served , all were tasty. Along with , there was 3 different varieties of chutney and salad.

One of the best places to have a traditional Khasi Thali. The pork thali was awesome and very tasty. Prompt service and eat slowly if you want to eat a lot. But what truly made the experience memorable was the warmth and hospitality of the owner. Their friendly nature made us feel more like guests than customers. It's rare to find someone so genuinely welcoming.

Very cosy cafe with nice dylan’s themed.Both inside and outdoor sitting is quite nice. There is nice view from outside. The indoor theme is just wow with lovely music playing. I went there for the coffee. We ordered basic cappuccino. It was okayish. Not bad, not great. Serving cups could have been better. They gave coffee in a mug. It would have been nice if they served in coffee cups

We went here on our visit to shillong. We were very hungry and are vegetarians so ordered a bunch of veg food. Their shillong noodles is too good. We had already mentioned to make it in its authentic way and they did exactly that. Their hot chocolate with marshmallows was so so comforting in the rainy weather. We also tried their hash brown. It was damn nice, totally worth trying. Their naga chilli cheese toast is worth the hype. Its too good. Their farmhouse pizza however disappointed us. It was not cooked properly. But the staff was really good. They immediately replaced it with nachos which were also really nice. We also got to witness some live music. All in all we had a good time

The ambience is good with outdoor eating as well as indoor seating options. Service was very prompt and staff warm welcoming. However, the food was disappointing and not just one or two items. We were a slightly larger bunch, 2 adults & 5 kids & had gone for a lunch kind of meal. We had 1. Mac n cheese 2. Pull apart cheese bread 3. Cheesy fries 4. Strawberry cheese cake 5. Waffles 6. Rose Mary chicken 7. Bob’s burger 8. Sautéed veggies ( not on menu and specially made on-request, by the chef ) Found food to be reasonably decent. Service was with a smile and prompt. We were not too flustered by the staff and were ( thankfully ) left to ourselves. Music in the background was subtle. Apparently they have live band on Fridays. It’s a first floor set up restaurant, lift access is not available ( so no wheel Chairs ), they have an outside and inside seating. The weather was fantastic , for an outside sitting as well. Menu is continental. They may serve some brands of beer as well. Washrooms were clean and tidy.

Located on the first floor, the café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with separate zones for smoking and non-smoking guests. The service staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming — their friendly demeanour and helpful recommendations added to the charm of the place. Ordered Crunchy chicken burger, Naga Chili pork with Shillong noodles. The food was sumptuous and portions were very good. The chili pork was a standout — tender, flavour-packed, and perfectly spiced. Shillong noodles had a fresh, peppery punch and tender chicken chunks, it was truly the chef’s delight. Adequate parking within the café premises and well-maintained washrooms also enhanced the overall experience. The place was a bit pricey, but felt the quality of the food quality, ambience, and experience made it worth every penny. Would definitely recommend Dylan’s café for a relaxed, romantic casual outing and enjoy the signature dish - Naga Chili pork with Shillong noodles.

Place is nicely decorated. Nice atmosphere. But service is very poor. No care taken for guests by sufficient number of waiters. After a long wait and reminders food was served. Butter was missing from butter Naan and too much chilli in chicken. It started burning 🥵 inside. I had to take ice cream to cool my burning tongue 😛. Very bad experience on a very special day of my life.

The food was really good. I tried Mongolian chicken for starters, corn & cheese spaghetti pasta, butter naan & butter chicken for main .. the service was provided to us by Barthimeush, he was very polite, well trained & provided good assistance..

Must must must try in shillong. Food ambience quality and taste are super noch. We just got too addicted towards their food so in our 3 days of shillong stay we had dinner everyday there. Tandoori and kababs are must try. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated.

Lamee is a great restaurant just located in heart of police Bazar, shillong near by landmarks are puma store or centre point hotel. Areas for improvement would menu option and service can be little faster. The food was great and taste was good. The service was appropriate and place is reasonably well on your pocket. I would recommend for people looking for authentic North Indian go for this place. It's located on 1st floor of the building.

Had pork fried momo and hunan pork dry. The momo's were good. The price was definitely high. It was ₹270 for a plate. The taste was good though. The hunan pork was amazing. Highly recommended. The price of ₹410 for it felt worth it. The taste was definitely satisfactory, but the price was exorbitant for momos.

The food is good and tastes great , the decor is good and cozy, the place is near the main market areas, employees are good and have nice behaviour.... So it's a good place for brunch or even for a heavy meal afterwards. We ordered pork chilly gravy, rice and chapati, and found the food to be a little too costly , but the taste and portion of food is ok in comparison to the price . So , I'll say go for it.

This place offers some great food across Indian and Chinese cuisines. Has a great seating arrangement and not at all congested. Tried Chinese here and the dumplings just melt in the mouth, was so good. The staff are great. Fairly new restaurant but with the food and service lamee has kept it good. A little problem with the network connection though which makes it difficult for card payments. If an option carry cash and for the restaurant, kindly fix that problem.

The place is well located... Easily can be spotted from far.. the ambience is good... And soo is the food.. the only thing I didn't like about lamee is its staff.. very rude.. firstly they made us stand for 15 min and when we were Given seats no body attended us.. the staff which did acted Asif we do not belong their.. our order was late and we had to order again. This food joint located at the outskirts of Shillong has a unique vibe and ambience. You’ll love it if you’re into travelling and especially into riding. They actually have a Royal Enfield hung right inside the café. The overall set up is about travel, number plates and North East. Food here is good but not so great to be honest. They do have various options to choose from, but the taste for most of the items are okayish. The portion sizes in English breakfast platter are ridiculously small and mostly it’ll not be sufficient if you’re a foodie. The sitting arrangements are cozy and provides you the privacy you want. The washroom is clean and decent in size. The staffs here don’t have a heartwarming polite behaviour but it suffices your needs. The road leading to this establishment might be little confusing due to the ongoing highway work. Just for the record, the entry to this café is directly from the highway through a pine forest. It’s not as shown in Google Maps (through Krishi Vigyan Kendra). Please be very careful on this aspect otherwise you’ve to walk a LOT. Overall, a decent food joint to spend some good cozy times with your family, friends or partner.

ML 05 has an amazing location with stunning views that make it worth a visit. They have a good selection of coffee, even though the menu doesn’t list the flavors — you can always ask! I tried the hazelnut coffee, and it was really nice. Their bakery items are also worth a mention; I enjoyed the apple pie. When it comes to food, my experience was mixed. The fried rice with chicken wasn’t great (the chicken seemed undercooked or just not right), but their signature Biker’s English Breakfast was excellent when I tried it on my first visit. It’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy the view, but not the best spot if you’re planning to work remotely, as the Wi-Fi speed isn’t very reliable. Overall, a scenic cafe with good coffee and some standout dishes, especially if you’re here to soak in the atmosphere.

I am from West Bengal. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Qzine Restaurant, and it was a thoroughly satisfying experience. The staff were polite and attentive without being intrusive. Orders were taken promptly and the food arrived in good time. They also checked in to make sure everything was to our liking, which was a nice touch.

The food was so atrocious, if anybody wants to visit this restaurant please don't it can be your most biggest mistake. And it was so overpriced compared to the food served, like we can't describe the food it was so gross and just a waste of money. A better option would be buy stuff by yourself and cook or find some other resturant, please try to make your cuisine better as the restaurant was decorated well, it was attractive so we were attracted to the restaurant thinking the food will be good. Was really in the mood for eating spaghetti so I thought I’d order it from Munchies as I’ve had couple of good experiences. But today, wasn’t that day. In the middle of eating my food, I found a dead fly. Wondering if the fly was cooked along with the food or just happened to fly and fall in my food. This just killed my appetite and gave me a really bad feeling. I’ve never experienced this ever before so this is just upsetting and disappointing. Ordered via Swiggy.

Munchies Shillong impressed us with their delicious Chicken Cheese Paratha, which lived up to its reputation. The Hot Chocolate and Masala Milk Tea were also delightful. However, the Flat Noodles with Bacon and Sausages fell short, as the white sauce was overwhelming. A cozy spot with some great hits and a few misses!

A very good place to have food with friends and family. Nice cafe, very good ambience, good sitting arrangement. Situated at the heart of Laitmukhrah, near Don Bosco Square. The cafe is just beside the road. The service is very good. Very friendly. The food is marvelous. The taste is fantastic. "It is finger licking good". Good quality and quantity. The menu is a little bit expensive. But the quantity and quality of the food is really worth it. Burger is the highlight here. I had Chicken Gourmat Noodles. It was soooo goooodddddd. They have UPI payment option. Parking space is also there.

Worst food I've ever tasted. I was really excited to try their famous burger but behold, there was no proper meat in my meat burger. The patty was like a mixture of 20% meat and some other fillers. I had spaghetti with meatballs- mediocre, and onion rings- horrible. Will never eat from here ever again.

worst experience, pathetic service and top of it the burger served was a point close to zero. that's not how you make your burger and call it a burger. no taste and quantity was also lower class if we compare it to its price. it wasn't even worth it at all.

It is a restaurant located in Laitumkhrah of Shillong. This is a very good restaurant for eating with family, friends etc. The location of the restaurant is prime. Especially the view from the top of this restaurant is epic. Outdoor seating is also available here. Quality of food is very good. One should visit this restaurant if in Laitumkhrah areaa of Shillong.

One of the good places to have chinese food in Shillong. Interior- the ambiance and interior is very calm and soft. Staff behaviour -The staff's are friendly and are present quickly when called. Food- although I like to have food out here, this is not my top spot to enjoy a Chinese meal. Parking- parking is available near the road

If you're looking for good Chinese food Deja Vu all the way. The interiors are warm and intimate that pull you in the moment you enter. The waiters are so accommodating and the portion sizes are large. This makes for an intimate dining experience.

This is my second time here loved the food tried pork pepper it was amazing... cheesecake was super delicious. Friendly staff specially hospitality by Habit Debbarma made us feel special. Beautiful place if your visiting Shillong(Laitumkrah) stop by and enjoy good food with good ambience!

We had a wonderful experience at Dejavu, Shillong. The food was excellent and the ambience was very inviting and pleasant. Our server, Mrinal Lahkar, did an outstanding job. He was attentive, friendly, and went the extra mile to ensure that our daughter was comfortable and had her food taken care of. The food and service were both excellent! Everything we ordered was delicious and well presented. A special mention to Mrinal Lahkar, who served us with such warmth and professionalism very polite, attentive and friendly throughout. He truly made our dining experience even better. Great service by the staffs. We arrived almost 30 before closing time yet they served us a delicious meal and the staffs were really courteous. The quantity of food was bountiful. Ambience was great too. Would love to visit again sometime if went to shillong again.

Oh My My ! I can never forget the taste of this. This is the best of Khasi delicacies I ever had. Mashed Potatoes, Rice, Dal, Tomato Chutney and some Veggies. This is heaven. The Aunty at the counter is soo friendly. I would suggest this on any given day. I miss this place now though.

For the first time we tried out authentic Khashi delicacy. We ordered smoked pork combo which was served with Jadoh. The food was interesting, though it didn't suit our tastebuds.

This is my favourite place to come to when i have the craving for jadoh. This is my favourite food.. Jadoh with beef balls or chicken with gravy is the best thing in the world. The first thing i do when i come back to Shillong is to have jadoh. Its like a tradition 😂😂 but its true you have to have jadoh when you come back home. If not then bruh are you even from Shillong 😂😂😂

Perfect Value for Money. Imagine a delicious non veg meal for two, with a variety of traditional items, totalling up to a price around Rs 180.

Location is great, service is average, food you will get typical south Indian, north Indian in breakfast. Average taste and not at all pocket friendly. People will only visit here to experience the location. You can visit much more pocket friendly and better place in near by areas.

Super amazing restaurant with quality food. They have a limited menu of Indian, Chinese, Continental and North Eastern cuisine. Quality of food is top notch and all the staffs are welcoming and kind. Breakfast will be served in the room on request.

They will over charged everyone 1500 rupees irrespective of what you order. If total order price is above 1500 rupees, that will be charged. Didn't like the restraurant policy. I didn't feel like having food.

The food was subtle and nice. The interiors is a bit dark n gloomy. Too much decor makes the place stuffy. They also forgot 1 / 3 items ordered, and on following up gave steamed momos so late instead of pan fried momos. Price is moderate.

The food here is okay. I found the Dal Fry to be lacking in salt. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, it comes in 8 pieces and is quite tasty. I would recommend you to try the Manchow Soup and the Hot and Sour Soup. The service quality is pretty good with a friendly and hospitable staff. You can certainly give it a visit. It is located near the High Court, Meghalaya.

We visited today for lunch. Nachos were served complementary. We ordered chicken momo as starter, which was good. One plate contain 8 pieces. For main course we ordered chicken haka noodles, veg fried rice, garlic chicken and another chicken with lots of vegetables. We loved all but noodles smelled a bit. Service is prompt, didn't take long time to serve. The space is congested but guests were not loud. Decor is very colourful but cozy.

I ordered Chicken Hakka noodles, Egg Hakka noodles, Chilly chicken. Chicken Hakka noodles was so bad that I even find it difficult to swallow. Service was also poor, order arrived after 40 mins. I asked for normal water 2-3 times but service was so poor that when we finished eating then only they gave us normal water. I don’t know why this restaurant has high rating.

It’s one of the specific joints in police Bazaar,Shillong to taste Chinese foods. We tried- Pork wonton - Too good American chop suey - good but more Smoked Garlic rice - Tastes good but didn’t find flavour Chilli chicken - Good Bamboo shoot chicken - I like it too Mostly this is a restaurant cum bar and the ambiance is portrayed accordingly. Stuffs were a bit weird but the manager was so humble and helpful. Waiting time is high but the most noticeable thing is that it’s most probably the only Chinese restaurant opened until 10PM. So it’s a must go for late night dinner date 😁❤️

The food is very tasty and the price charged is reasonable given the quantity and the quality of the food. Has clean washrooms. The place has the tacky feel of typical Asian Chinese restaurants. But given the price point, it delivered good food. I was hoping to get my hands on some soupy broths / Noodle bowls getting served at other tables, but my appetite was full after having the delicious momos.

I'm puzzled by the loss of authenticity in Shillong restaurants like The WOK, which served subpar food during my recent visit. The hot and sour soup was unappetizing, the chicken chilli and momos were mediocre, the spicy chutney was surprisingly sweet, and the coffee was underwhelming, making for a disappointing dining experience overall.

Delicious Chinese and Thai Cuisine! I'm a regular takeout customer at The Wok Restaurants and I'm always impressed by the flavors and variety of their Pan Asian cuisines. Their menu offers a great selection of classic options, and I've tried several of their popular dishes. Their Soups and Noodles definitely standout for me personally, with perfectly balanced flavors and tender ingredients. I've also enjoyed their Prawn and Chicken Tom Yum & Thai Soup, which has a great balance of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors. The service is always efficient, and the food arrives hot and fresh. I've never had any issues with my orders, and the staff is friendly and helpful when I need to contact them. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Chinese and Thai takeout. Gem of a place in Shillong for Chinese food. We placed our orders to go actually, so i don’t have any photos of them, but while waiting for it- we ordered a tom yum soup(with prawns)- just loved the flavours. The packed food was delicious as well, these flavours were new to me- not your regular desi Chinese, we had the combos- can’t remember exactly what we did order but might have been the balinese executive combo. Just loved it here.

A good place for Chinese and Thai cuisine. We tried the Schezwan chicken (gravy) with steam rice. The food was nice and was served quickly. However, the portion size of the dishes is very big so I will recommend to order accordingly.

Rubbish experience. Charging Rs 270 for a plate of Schezwan Chicken Fried rice, It was sweetish in taste and I've never seen fried rice this sticky & solid like a cake. It looks more like Kichidi!! Feeling cheated and will never visit again or recommend this place to anyone. Will try and see if my dog eats it!!

We went in for a late lunch and had to order quickly since it was 3.30pm and lunch service is till 4pm. Our starter arrived in 15 minutes and the mains, a few minutes after we were done with our starter. Food - 1) We ordered fried smoked food on a bed of mashed potatoes. This dish was amazing. It came with a side of tungtap and greens. We absolutely loved it. I still think about this dish. 2) For mains we ordered the grilled chicken and crispy pork belly. Both came with a side of ja stem, beans potato curry and local sohshang pickle. The quantity looked less at first but it was quite filling. We also ordered their orange fresh juice and a coconut water which they happily cut open for us to scoop out the soft and firm flesh as dessert. It was a satisfying and a very filling lunch. We will definitely be visiting again.

Had a wonderful lunch at Rynsan today. It is a small boutique restaurant which is very well decorated, curated with artifacts and is very cozy in a beautiful setting. The food is fusion food which has tons of local flavour in the best possible way. Wide range of vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and beverages to suit all palates. If you are in Shillong, you should not miss having a meal here. Considering the size, would recommend making a reservation whenever you wish to visit.

Absolutely amazing place to dine at, be it for an occasion or just a get together with friends, this is perfect especially if you're craving for some traditional delicacies with a twist of their own. Tried two absolutely splendid deserts which was the in house tiramisu which in my opinion lacked the kick of coffee but besides that everything was absolutely perfect, and the Nei iong Panna Cota which had set perfectly and had an amazing soft vanilla taste followed by the toasty sesame flavour which surprisingly paired very well and none of the deserts were overly sweet which was great. The thin crust pizza in my opinion is the best in town and the cheeses they used were delicious. This may not be a place for everyone as it may be on the expensive side of dinning spots but it's definitely worth a visit. Haven't tried many of the items offered yet so can't give a detailed review as of now but will definitely update with future visits.

Super glad to have chosen this place over 5 star dinner which are not only poor in taste but often soulless. Rynsan has an excellent fine dine vibe & a thoughtfully curated menu which offer something for everyone. We visited LA-GALERIE at Centre Point Hotel in Police Bazar, Shillong for an evening tea and snack. The milk tea, cappuccino, and veg pakora were delightful. The tables were beautifully decorated, clean, and the prime location offered a view of the bustling PB crowd. On another visit for dinner, the veg momo, mutton and fish thali, paneer sizzler, and desserts were delicious, but some first-choice items were unavailable. Despite the variety offered, the absence of preferred dishes affected our overall dining experience. Would like to mention about the service of the staff members who were welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Located at the centre of the police bazaar. The landscape view of the bazaar from the hotel is beautiful. Interior of the hotel is quite classic and gives a royal vibes. Wooden furniture and natural flowers on dinning table adds to its aesthetic. However, foods are exorbitantly costly. Two peices of fish curry cost me Rs. 380, which one neither delicious nor that deserving. So,one may check the menu well before ordering. All the best!

Little miscommunication with order… we ordered 2 side dishes with single portion but they offered two nd didn’t even mention. So improvement needed.

One of the oldest restaurants in the police bazaar..it is in the center point hotel..the price is slightly on the higher side...but the food is good, the staff is courteous and the ambience is pretty okay..and i have not very often seen this place crowded...do pay a visit if you are nearby...a meal for two would cost around 1.5k

If you are a south indian looking for some Dosas, this is your place in Shillong. The dosas are not bad, the chutney is good. The rest rooms are good. The ambience and service is good as well. Do not expect 100% authentic Dosas, but they are pretty good if you are in North India and craving for dosas. Except utappam, all were good. Idlis were good too. Coffee and Tea were great as well. It is in busy part of the town and there is no parking.

I have been to this place twice. During my first visit there was a hair strand in my Dosa but I ignored it after informing the staff but didn't report to higher authority. However during my second visit on 02 Oct 25 I found a insect in the Sambhar. Now I am sure that for this restaurant hygiene is the last priority. tThis time I'm going to report it to the food authority.

In the middle of the buzzing Police Bazar, the food was good, I tried paper masala dosa which was good, chutney was ok ok, Chicken dum biriyani is average, soup was perfect. If you are any time Shillong wants to taste south indian food, this is the place to go.

We stopped for a quick dinner here and were not disappointed by the hype. The staff was hospitable and the ambience was decent as well. The tomato onion uttapam was good and the sambar and chutneys were good too but probably not the best. It’s a decent South Indian place in the middle of a busy bazar which is value for money. The filter coffee was on the bitter side and needed sugar to be added on the top. Overall a really good place and would go again for other menu options.

We were craving for veg, south place and this place was a heaven for us. We had mysore Masala dosa and South Indian thali. Both were good. Filter coffee was average. Price is premium but you barely get south indian food elsewhere so theres a premium.

Visited Namma Madras Cafe for dinner recently. The idea of getting Tamil/South Indian food in the Northeast is definitely interesting, and it’s nice to see such regional variety. However, the food was just okay — nothing exceptional in terms of taste. Prices felt quite high for the portion and quality offered. The ambience and overall experience were decent, but not standout. Worth a try if you're craving South Indian food, but manage your expectations. It will take minimum 2min to get the entrance of the restaurant as it is full covered by a roadside sale guy

COCKROACHES ON CAKE!!! We were in shillong for holidays and went to have cheesecake at this place. We parcelled the cheese cake and while billing i saw cockroaches roaming outside as well as on the cake! Basic hygiene is not there. it was disgusting and the staff acted very casually. They should take hygiene seriously. They are playing with people’s health

So they extended the cafe area,it looks great inside. The range of menu also has increased. The sandwiches were very good, and the mocktails looked absolutely stunning. The German chocolate pastry was too chocolaty for me though. Overall loved the ambience ✨

Had a bad experience. We wanted to order Chicken Steak, but the staff replied that it would take time to prepare as they are having too many online orders. So let me warn you friends that greater importance is given to online customers. We then ordered Royal Pasta and to our surprised we were served with BBQ Pasta. Also the menu stated that Dinner Rolls will be served along with the Pasta, but we did not receive it. I asked for the same and they simply replied "it is finished". So friends, are they not misleading us with the menu?

Disappointing hospitality experience at Ginger Restaurant, Hotel Polo Towers, Shillong: While the food at Ginger Restaurant was decent, my overall dining experience yesterday was completely marred by the poor hospitality and lack of basic manners from both the staff and fellow guests. I was dining with my family, seated at a table that had a long sofa on one end. During our meal, a young child, around 5-6 years old, from another table decided to walk across the sofa behind me — stepping over our personal belongings, including wallets and handbags. This happened not once, but twice, despite my obvious discomfort and the fact that I am 7 months pregnant. What was more upsetting was that the child’s mother seemed completely uninterested in correcting her child’s behaviour and was busy eating without a care in the world. The waitress, Gloria, who was serving us at the time, did nothing to address the issue. Instead, she allowed the child to cross again and even guided the child to walk across the sofa again behind me, as though this behaviour was perfectly acceptable. When I pointed out the issue, the waitress had the audacity to ask if we would like to change our seat — which I found absolutely ridiculous. Why should we have to change our seat just because a child was allowed to behave disrespectfully? To make matters worse, the child was running around, spilling food — including rice — on the sofa, where she was stepping, and not a single staff member said anything to stop her. It was as if the staff were more concerned with appeasing the guests with money (likely tourists) than maintaining a basic standard of etiquette and cleanliness. The mother didn’t even acknowledge her child’s disruptive behaviour, and the staff didn’t even attempt to intervene. It’s deeply disappointing to see such a lack of respect for the guests and no commitment to the fundamentals of hospitality in a supposedly 4-star hotel. The Polo Towers staff’s refusal to address this behaviour and the lack of proper intervention not only ruined my dining experience but also left a sour impression about the quality of service. I expected much better, especially from an establishment that presents itself as upscale. I hope Polo Towers reconsiders its approach to customer service, ensuring that the comfort and dignity of all guests — not just those with money — are respected.

Hotel rooms are good, well maintained, clean . The view from the hotel room is quite natural, the surrounding is peaceful one can stay there free of noice and with peace of mind. Room a/c television is all fine. Elivator are nice. The only disappointing thing is hotel food. It's not tasty at all. No taste nothing. We couldn't able to enjoy the food

I visited Ginger on Easter as my expectations were really high from this place. Had ordered prawn noodles and chilly fish gravy. Listing my review below. Food: It was served hot. It did taste good till I discovered plenty of oil on the plate. Meaning the meal was very very oily. Total was Rs. 1083 for two items. It was very disappointing. Decor & Ambience : Pretty nice, I say. Staff : They were polite and greeted us, as well. Parking was provided by the hotel. Please cook food in limited oil and serve fresh. I gave two stars for Staff and ambience of Ginger. Not recommended. Needs improvement.

LOCATED within hotel Polo Towers at Police bazar. Hotels staff somehow always manages for Parking. AMBIENCE and SERVICE: The decor is quite contemporary. lighting is just sufficient to create the warm mood. Seating is comfortable. The small space congestion yet does not go unnoticed. FOOD: Dining hall serves breakfast in the morning and a-la-cart for other meals. small place congestion is seen at breakfast spread. Food preparations were good though. One would feel it even more good after eating elsewhere in the town. Overall a good and memorable eating experience.

The food was good, but what really stood out was the exceptional service and welcoming nature of our waitress, who took great care of us during our meal, making it a definite reason for us to return.

Had a very beautiful experience of fine dining. The entire house was only for us. Had a wonderful service with very polite and well mannered staff. Food preparation of course takes time. We had a variety of stuff from the menu among them stood out the chicken lasagna and pork chop. The drinks weren't the best but the food was definitely an experience of its own.

Probably the best fine dinning place in shillong. The food are well balanced, the place is serene with it's rustic and aesthetic looks. The service and waiters were professional and polite. This is the place to hang out and just get lost in the moment.

Very disappointed. Service was snail pace. Went to enjoy course meal, but apparently removed from menu….. and while I booked, i did mention we would go for course meal. I was not told they dint cater to course meals! All that staff uniform is well impressive but they lacked understanding to what we wanted to order and had to repeat twice if not thrice!!

They were so accommodating. Top notch hospitality and best food in whole of Shillong. They offer candle light dinners as well to make your special day more special.

We called her so many times for the booking, we even offer her to take some amount as advance but she said that your booking is done and after reaching the venue she instantly hiked the prices. As we arrive there at 10PM so tried to take the advantage of the situation. Very unprofessional behaviour, never expected this kind of behaviour from such a good place. Will never suggest anyone to go there.

Too much expensive and the lady owner is very rude and at first we booked for some price and later on when we reached there she increased the price 10-15K which was not acceptable. I visited this place after a long time, and I used to absolutely love the dosas.However, things have changed. I tried the Cheese Masala Dosa and the Butter Masala Dosa. The dosa itself was crispy yet soft, which I enjoyed, but the filling was a letdown. It was surprisingly bland, and I had expected a bit of spice, not just raw green chilies. That was a bit disappointing. The sambhar was good but the chutney was so bad, they served peanut chutney instead of the coconut chutney which was really disappointing. The tomato chutney was also missing. I also tried the Paneer Kulcha with Chole, which looked appealing but didn't quite deliver on taste. The kulcha was decent, but the chole lacked flavour. On a positive note, the special tea was good, although a bit too sweet. I suggest offering it without sugar and providing sugar packets instead. The atmosphere was good, and the service was exceptional

Have been visiting regal since I was a child and today I visited again with my mother we ordered masala dosa, once chicken fried rice and drums of heaven however today there were less people so the staff were little attendant but other days even if we call them they don't seem to bother and just look around for other staffs and my main concern is that i am very disappointed by today's food that was served firstly the fried rice was smelling and stale and it did not taste fresh and was just half warm and the most disgusting part was the drumstick which is drums of heaven it was overly coated with all the batter and i found the skin and the *furs of chicken on it 🤮 i highly don't recommend to eat this and even the dosa didn't tasted good today it was tasting sour and the masala was so blunt felt like we were eating dosa with just boiled potato without salt and any flavour.. I paid the full bill despite my concern I didn't want other people eating to loose their appetite I feel like they are not serving fresh food and also if they are maintaining hygiene why did i found all fur in the chicken 🤢 next time I will hardly recommend anyone to visit there again.. please look into your hygiene and freshness of food i could have raised concern on the moment itself but I didn't want to do this in front of the customers..take my words I didn't even felt like clicking the picture of that furs i lost the appetite the moment I saw that didn't expected this..

The food was extremely mid considering the price, they have no respect for the young customers had to wait about 30 min for 3 simple orders. The other customers got their food first when we came in and ordered first. Ordered french fries and took them 40 min to give it to us.

Deja Vu is a Chinese restaurant and can be easily missed we went past it 1-2 times but were not able to recognize the entrance. Here is a brief review of the time I spent there. 1) Location: Location is not very convenient it is situated at the top of a building so not easily recognizable while driving. The entrance to the building in which the restaurant is situated is a bit off the main road, But all of this does not matter once you reach the restaurant at the top as it is really beautiful. 2) Reservation: We went there on a Saturday it was pretty crowded, I would recommend reservation on a weekend. The manager was really courteous he wrote down our name and gave us a table as soon as possible. 3) Menu: The menu was vast they have everything in oriental and Thai. The menu was well designed and had a hint of specialty restaurant feel to it. 4) Food: The food was amazing, Their soup was really tasty, Noodles was out of this world, Fried rice was amazing, each and everything we ordered was cook to perfection and had great taste. 5) Service: The staff was really helpful, courteous and on there toes to serve us. They explained the menu perfectly and then serviced each item excellently and professionally. 6)Ambiance and Cleanliness : The ambiance had that oriental feel to it. As soon as you enter you feel like you are in totally different place, the environment is calm and happy. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The only thing I did not understand why they are still using single big hand towels in the bathroom instead of paper towel that is still a bit unhygienic, rest all was good and up to the mark. 7)Overall: We had a great time there with breathtaking ambiance, amazing staff and lovely food. I hope they keep up the good work and maintain the food quality that they are serving always.

We loved the food here. Awesome service and such a pretty ambiance. We had pork, chicken and prawns. All the dishes were finger licking good!! Must visit and have food when you are in Shillong!!

Very average food, in starters we ordered fried momos which were tasty, veg monchow soup was fine but the quantity left a lot to be desired, and the crispy chicken was like cardboard.. dry and not good at all. for the mains we ordered veg & chicken American chopsuey and it was such a let down, sickly sweet I could only manage a few mouthfuls, All in all it is a good place with a nice ambience, maybe we ordered the wrong items but i would not be revisiting as the price does not justify what we got.

Loved it totally. The perfect destination for Chinese food. A small negative point is the location, as it doesn't have a parking space, to park your own vehicles and we had to search for almost 20 mins for a parking. Well now for the description, its excellent in terms of food, both quality and quantity, ambience, and pricing. Service is bit slow though, as it was crowded. Its centrally located in the heart of Shillong city, near Police Bazar. We did not have a reservation, and it was jam packed with people queuing up for tables and reservation tables booked as it was a Saturday, yet the senior staff was kind enough to get a table for us when we were about to leave since we did not have a table and our child was hungry. Nevertheless, after getting a table, we ordered Manchow soup, which was really good. Post which we ordered the Chicken fried rice Mumbai style, which was a little dry so we had to order a veg Manchurian gravy to go along with it. Son liked the fried rice, as it wasn't spicy. Also ordered the smoked chicken Mexican style, which both of us could not finish. The ginger ale we ordered was also very good. Overall the food was good, but due to having a child with us we could not experiment much. Also parking was a bit difficult and we had parked our car in a nearby ATM, which was closing at 9, so we were running short of time to order anything else. Finally, would like to recommend the place for its food, hygienic and good. However service needs to be improved slightly but since it was crowded, it can't be helped. Also parking needs to he taken care of. Rest its a must visit.

Ambience is good. One should visit this place only if there is ample time. Service is very slow and it appears there is a shortage of serving staff as we had to call and seek attention each time, for requesting something; starting from placing order to even making payment. Food is average. Considering the price, was expecting better. The meat served was not uniformly cooked.

Good food!! Reviewing what I ordered Pork wontons - crispy and delicious, loved it!! Pork thali - okayish… was expecting white rice and a proper thali but got instead some fried rice kind of and pork manchurian style but was expecting a proper pork curry, chutney, veggies and all…. Pork dry fry - asked for pork dry fry but got something sweet sauce pork fry( disappointed there a bit)… but not bad and okayish in terms of taste…

Absolutely loved the Naga thali with smoked pork and Axone. Slightly overpriced but good. Pork momo are must try and recommend everyone to try. Chicken lollipop I took away, wasn't great size and quality wise. Mid average. Wished to try more dishes but for a single person already ordered more than required.

Don’t know about other categories of food but I tried “Naga Thali” it wasn’t naga at all so, I guess they need to justify the tag they’re using, anyway the ambience wax ok, You can try once, may be I was unlucky.

I had the opportunity to try Naga thali at this establishment. Since this was my first time having it, I am unable to comment on its authenticity. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The other dishes we ordered were also delicious.

Best in Shillong, We had Fried Rice, Noodles, Paneer Manchurian and Veg Manchurian and I must say all of the food we ordered were amazing. I highly recommend this place to everyone who loves chinese food.

This is the restaurant to go to if you want to try authentic Naga dishes. We tried the Naga Chicken Thali. They served boiled chicken with added spice, soul stirrer, bamboo-shoot etc aided chutneys, dal, rice etc with the Thali. It was really delicious. The staff is friendly and cooperative. You should definitely try their cuisine.

Special Thali - Rs.700/- Little Chef Spices of Asia, Golf Links, Shillong 17.12.23 Today is another Sunday, I had a very flimsy breakfast & was finishing off some work so even lunch was pushed pretty late. I was very hungry & thought to myself that this would be a good day to try out the Special Thali from Little Chef Spices of Asia which was recommended by @fifi_swer a few months ago. I was a little bit apprehensive as the last time I visited this place I didn't remember it having an Indian section. Anyway I wanted to give it a try. I entered at almost 4pm. The Special Thali is not printed on the menu & as already advised, I had to ask if they had the Thali & they said yes. And so I ordered one. 20mins later my order arrived. It was the biggest thali I've seen in Shillong till date. It had veg pulao, 2 big buttery naans, 2 good sized tandoori chicken, 2 pieces of Mutton Curry, 3 pieces of Golden Fried Prawns, 1 fried boiled egg, 2 types of Mix Veg, aloo bhaji, onion pakora, Mirchi pakora, proper fresh salad, 2 gulab jamuns, papad & pickles. This definitely is the smaller Shillong version of the Dara Singh Thali. I was in awe for a few seconds when they brought the food to my table. 3 people can easily share this. I finished 70% of it all by myself. Like I said, good day to eat a Thali. The pulao was ok. The naans were very good & went well with the mutton curry which was flavorful. However the tandoori chicken pushed the bar. It wasn't dry at all. The prawns were of decent size & were fried in a nice batter. The 2 mix veg were definitely overkill. Got confusing. The pakoras were top notch especially the Mirchi one. The bhaji was ok. The salad didn't look appealing & Gulab jamuns are not my favourite sweet but ok. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch.

They most definitely improved in their food and quality. We’ve consistently ordering takeout from here and it has changed from when it was first opened. Currently the taste of their food is amazing and appetising, their proportions are good and well worth the price. The staff are pleasant to interact with. I especially love the special mixed pasta from here. I highly recommend this place for a good treat!

We called Little Chef at the last minute to arrange lunch for some guests (25 people). The arrangements were done between 9pm-11:30 pm the night before the event. In spite of the late request, Little Chef was most willing to take our order and by 2 pm the next day, we had received our lunch for the guests. LC's service was timely, efficient, and professional. The staff are always polite, welcoming, and they go out of their way to provide the best possible service. I always enjoy my time at LC and I encourage others to try their services too!

Loved their dal makhani. Good place to have North Indian food if you are in Shillong. The location next to golf course is an added advantage and helps them draw a lot of people. Book a table in advance if you are sure about your visit. Service can be made more prompt but would give them a leeway given it's relatively new

I love the ambience it's soo relaxing and the view is good too ❤️ we ordered their speciality chilli chicken noodles and some chicken. Loved the flavours ! We also had mocktails called Nuts for You which had the perfect blend of sweetness and freshness!! Very welcoming staff too... I would like to visit soon just to unwind and enjoy the view again ❤️

The dance and music were truly worth experiencing. The menu is quite okay, but I’d say the staff — mainly the non-tribal ones — were really disappointing. They lacked any happy expression or attentiveness, and the way they stared or gawked felt uncomfortable.

@cloud9.restolounge is at the heart of Shillong - in the Police Bazaar area. Look out of the full length windows (that face a full length mirror and makes for an absolutely magical experience) and you’d see clouds gathering above the small lights perched upon the hills. We had the “hot toddy” - which you must mention as “less spicy” because North Easter cuisine is already super high on spice 🌶️! The pork dishes were exemplary and totally worth the hype! Location of the place is excellent , has great views and breeze, toilets are clean, food was good..... but service was pathetic....no one serves water had to ask for it, no one comes to take order, kitchen supply is also slow....takes too much time after the order...I would say that then place is over hyped ...please note: kids are not allowed

The waiter was so rude and very unprofessional. They first off didn’t allow me with slippers. It was raining I couldn’t have worn my shoes in this city’s abysmal roads. The waiter was extremely rude and have seen locals (Khasis) treating tourist like trash even though their business runs with them. I visited this place before and the Assamese waiter was just the best. Today was the worst experience in any decent establishment. Given a very bad taste of Shillong not visiting this city again.

Me and my friends visited cloud 9 restaurant today, it was my first visit and the worst experience i must say. The service was pathetic, waiters (especially the waitress) was not at all polite. As soon as we entered they tried to chase us out without proper ID checking, after that they make us sit in one corner later the waitress came and change our table saying that it was reserved table (no reserved tag was mentioned though) where they themselves told us to sit at the beginning. After we finished our food and about to leave, the reserved table was still not occupied. So i guess it's the FIRST AND LAST VISIT!!!...

Great location and rooftop but the service can really be improved upon. Ordered a veg platter and it was just okayish. Lot of scope for improvement.

Had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Poinisuk. The location is central and convenient—right in Laitumkhrah, which is one of the best areas to stay in Shillong. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and a local market nearby, making it easy for shopping and exploring. The rooms were clean, well-maintained and nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed, 24/7 hot water, and a proper TV with cable connection. The complimentary breakfast spread was quite good and satisfying. Staff were courteous and always ready to assist whenever needed. Parking facility is also available.

We love to visit this restaurant as a family. But this time it was a bad experiance for us ... The staff completely messed up our orders but still we told the staff it's ok just replace the food with the one we ordered. Then I ordered coffee which I did not get and end up packing the food cuz the service was bad. So we asked for the bill and we have to wait for more than 20mins for the bill. And they're laughing using foul language amongst them and my kid overheard them I got so pissed with the staff . Heading out very disappointed. So unprofessional.

We are quite a regular in the restaurant as we stay in Nazareth Hospital Doctors Quarter.. Usually we find the food good but on several occasions when we packed food for dinner, the quality is not good at all. On two recent take aways, one is tonight,the dal makhani is stale, smells and tastes awful..had to throw it away ..Kindly see that such episodes does not happen again.

The food was delicious and the ambience truly stood out, the space is filled with beautiful local art and little touches of Meghalaya in every corner. The background music added to the charm, making us feel like we were right in the heart of a village. If I had to point out one drawback, it would be the portion size. For the price the quantity felt a bit on the lower side. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Why only five star hotel get 5 star rating? This restaurant is an absolute bliss. We ate the Khasi Pork thali which comes with variety of items. It was colourful and flavour full. Can recommend it anytime. Atmosphere is almost like museum with traditional craft and musical instruments on display. U can also play the musical instruments if u wish. They arrange live music as well i guess during dinner hours.

Finally made it here and like most businesses in Shillong, this place has lost it’s charm. Service was slow and not at par, tables weren’t cleaned properly despite the lady coming and swiping the table. We waited 10 mins for drinking water post having food. Had to ask thrice for water, twice for tea. The puthiang were nice. Guys bring back the good old days. Otherwise this place will perish like most hyped businesses in Meghalaya.

We had a great time here, tried phansaw with fermented fish chutney along with smoked beef and tea. It was nice to enjoy the local delicacies with the khasi folk music being played in the background. It started raining as we reached Mawroh. We were hungry so we found this cafe seated atop a villa. I realised I have been fed with many good reviews of this place. As we placed the ordered we were offered a shot of Roselle tea as a complimentary from the cafe. When the food came, it was a blessing for the two hungry travellers. Turmeric rice, smoked beef, smoked pork alongside the fermented fish chutney, and green salad perfectly balanced the meal. One thing is certain, the cafe is making traditional meals of food recipes into a trend among the young generations. A must visit!

This Place has an authentic khasi touch to it… with variety of khasi meals & multiple options of tea being served here, one can indulge in the food and the ambience and feel close to nature. Their simple and famous boiled potato dish (Pham Saw) served with various herbs is a must try. Also the ice cream served here is too good, we tried passion fruit and berry blast flavour both were too good. Definitely a place to visit👍

First of all, there is nothing call service. You write for them and they will bring the order. The chicken combo cost 220, it is like gulping a glass of oil, with every spoon your lips will be shiny with the oil. Wasted my money. The menu was very limited as well. Price ranges from 150/- soups and fried rice. Street food is much better I was super hungry yet, i only ate a little.

Until recently, I have never recognised this restaurant. Today, I had pork Chow mein and milk tea. It was really awesome. I will try more of their menu in the future. The price is also reasonable, affordable. The place is not congested like many other restaurants in Shillong. Plus, they have nice view.

Worst cafe . Better than going here buy 1 litre oil amd gulp it . Even the price is not worth the food . Options too are not much and whatever you order they'll say it's not available . I tried fried rice and by fried I think they mean dipped in oil . And the other item of mushroom was just dipped in chilly sauce .

Save the Pizza please. If you know how a pizza is baked then you would definitely walk out by just looking at this clumsy lousy over priced under dressed starved pizza. The toppings are barely 20gms ..it's like they are weighed in gold. Ketchup cornered... cheese roughed upon.. pork pieces ..probably the belly fat.. Never eaten such a disgusting pizza in my life.

Really really bad pizza. Quality of ingredients was worst. The cheese used was worse than Amul processed cheese. And they charged 600-700 per pizza. Drinks were at room temp that too stale with no soda left in it. When we asked to bring ice they rudely denied it. Really really bad experience

Really good this crust pizza, you'll be hard pressed to get such quality pizzas in Shillong. They unique, local cuisine toppings make the experience even better. Love how even the drinks menu has juices made of local fruits. Beautiful & rustic decor and setting makes it a nice outing. Unfortunately, it is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Worthless food, base crust is pathetic. They are serving Pizza with Curly flower in steed of broccoli 🥦. Waiting time is also too high, ambience is good but not lively

Unfortunately, the food here didn’t meet expectations. The spring rolls were heavily loaded with artificial red coloring, which was off-putting. Portion sizes across Meghalaya seem to be quite inconsistent—some dishes come in overly large servings, while others lack heavily on quantity. We also tried the Schezwan noodles and another type of regular veg noodles (can’t recall the name), and veg man chow soup but sadly, neither impressed us in terms of taste.

My cousin bro had recommended to try their food and to be honest it exceeded my expectations. We had chicken noodle soup and prawn malaysian chow. Loved it totally.

The service was out of this world, also the hospitality, tables were prestine. So as you may know, Chilly chicken is known to be spicy, but then as for my mother-in-law's sake I had to order a less spicy, semi gravy, and more veggies if possible. I ordered takeaway, but received quite the opposite. It is all a joke on what the customer's ask right!? If you feel it isn't right and you can't execute an order just because of principle that it would make the food suck then don't execute it! Just explain to the customer that it is like this and that. . . . .and just show your talent behind the kitchen and just make the best meal, the manager will handle the rest. Well, you have lost my respect and my loyalty.

Always heard bad reviews about the taste of food, experienced it myself and now I know never to visit. The fishes in the aquarium were adorable.

Bad experience, such ill mannered attitude servers. Can't believe they mixed up vegetarian food with a non-vegetarian during Navratri. The server came up and just simply said it's a non-vegetarian after taking a bite. When pointed out his fault he shouted back angrily. This place should be closed down, such pathetic behaviour is unapologetic. Wouldn't recommend this place. There are other better places to eat than to be served with a trashy attitude.

I ordered Gulab jamun and after reaching home when I was eating it, it was yellowish in the middle and it had a taste of sourness. I didn't understand what went wrong but I did not expect this from this brand atleast. Very very disappointed, the price is high but the taste 🤢

I tried the chole bhature here, and while the taste was just okay, the overall experience wasn’t great. The sitting area is cramped and uncomfortable, and the cleanliness is seriously lacking. The hygiene levels didn’t feel up to the mark, which took away from the dining experience. Personally, I wouldn’t prefer going here again.

Delhi Mistanna Bhandar is conveniently located near Police Bazar. The interior is dated and lacks interest, but it maintains cleanliness. While the food items were tasty, the cost was surprisingly high. Unfortunately, the staff lacked attentiveness, and the service did not meet expectations. In summary, Delhi Mistanna Bhandar offers a convenient location and tasty food, but improvements in pricing, staff attentiveness, and service quality are needed for a more satisfying experience.

Only recommended for its sweets. Don't have tea in this place, you won't get that kadak chai for refreshment.

I had a very disappointing experience at this sweet shop. After consuming their products — suji ka halwa, samosa, and milk tea — I developed severe gastric issues that lasted for quite some time, something I had never experienced before. The quality of the food did not feel fresh or hygienic. Moreover, I find their pricing to be on the higher side, and unfortunately, the quality does not justify the cost. It feels unfair, especially for the people of Shillong as well as tourists, who expect better standards. I sincerely hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving both the quality and fairness in pricing.

I would like to explain this place in just 3 words: TASTY | EXPENSIVE | AVERAGE SERVICE And also overall experience was okayish. I was roaming around the streets of Shillong for some local shopping to be done and happened to see this outlet, bit crowded and also by looking at authentic Delhi style chats on the menu which tempted me to enter. I ordered Delhi chats and these people have a weird procedure to take our order. First you should order whatever you want from the counter and get the bill, then find a seat yourself, then wait for the waiter to come to you and take the bill from you to get the dish you wanted. If you go to the counter to get the same dish they won't hand it over to you, unless it is a parcel. So, if you're too hungry and visit this place you have to wait till you get a table and the waiter reaches you, that was quite bothersome. When it comes to sweets and chats we had, everything was excellent in taste and perfectly spiced up. Pakka Delhi style. Overall a good experience, when you're around this locality, I would recommend this place for chats, though it's a little expensive for that locality.

I wanted to rate it less but food was the saving grace a little. Ordered Mix chowk, chicken chilly, Chicken Sweet Corn Soup and Sweet Lassi. Let me start with the lassi, I am the stupid one here to order something like that in a Chinese restro. It was pathetic lol. Wanted to try prawn spring roll(unavailable) and chicken sweets and sour but they denied the latter saying it's in gravy and cannot be given in gravy. Unable to accomodate such a small request is a turn off in my dictionary for service. Mix chow was very good, sweet corn chicken was okay, chicken chilly had good large pieces and potential to be very good but was senseless spicy with no real punch or that umami as they say. The server demanded a tip for serving, since I didn't want to, my hand was held while I was leaving. Absolutely appalling and rubbish antics by the server. Atmosphere rating is less because there were families who entered with kids and played their irritating youtube videos on loud speaker and not once the restro asked them to lower down the volume. Small things but they add to the experience. Hope you guys have a better experience.

We went to have lunch here at the Hongkong restaurant on Sunday. The place was full. But still their service was super quick. We had ordered for chicken mushroom soup, the soup was delicious and the chicken pieces were tender! Also ordered chicken chilly dry, chicken Manchurian gravy and chicken chow. Everything was good. Chicken chilly had an amazing flavor to it. A bit spicy but we loved it. Overall a good experience and would like to go again to try out their momos.

My favourite restaurant since childhood. Whenever I get a chance I always like to go and have something there. This time I tried the steamed wantons for a change and it was nice. Since it was raining I had Lung Fung soup too and it was equally good. A must try if you haven't been there.

I recently dined at Hongkong Restaurant in Shillong and had a pleasant experience overall. The food quality was good, though not the best I've had. I ordered the Chilly Pork and Fried Rice; the taste was delightful, although the meat was a bit chewy. The variety of food on the menu is impressive, and the prices are affordable, making it a great value for money. The restaurant is conveniently located in a prime area, which is a big plus. The staff could benefit from being a bit more polite, but they were generally attentive. Despite a few minor issues, I enjoyed my meal and would recommend this place for a casual dining experience.

I regret to share a very concerning experience with this restaurant. I ordered Hakka noodles and was shocked to find a small cockroach in the dish while eating. This is a serious hygiene issue that cannot be overlooked. I hope the management takes immediate corrective measures to ensure better cleanliness and food safety. Until then, I cannot eat here and recommend this place to others

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Shillong. It's clean, well maintained, very reasonable and well trained waiters. You will find a varieties in their menu and every dish is delicious. I am a regular dinner and I love it. I love their prawn chips, chawmien, wanton soup, wanton mix, chicken chilli and the lists goes on. Their customer service is excellent and all the waiters are well trained.

Following a prolonged wait, we finally returned to Open Up Cafe, enjoying an amazing time and delicious food. Consistency still remains intact. Service time has improved substantially compared to the past, and the waitress's warm welcome was notable. Our orders included chicken steak with mashed potatoes and chicken spaghetti, both of which were satisfactory. In beverages, we chose red ginger tea, which was impressive.

Love the ambience and yummy food. The place has a homely feeling to it served with good food, hygienic and good service. Would recommend visiting it during late afternoon or evenings.

The beef burger was very meaty with cheese and onion. The price is on the higher side but the size is big and felling. The outdoor sitting was little small. The ambience was good otherwise.

The hot chocolate was truly delightful, I absolutely loved it. Encouraged by others' recommendations, we opted for the beef burger, known to be the best. However, I was somewhat disappointed by its size, especially considering the 420-rupee price tag—I had expected a bit more. Nevertheless, the taste didn't disappoint. To compensate, we ordered the beef spaghetti meatballs, which turned out to be quite good. Overall, the food leans towards the pricey side, and while the taste is satisfactory, it doesn't reach extraordinary heights. On the positive side, the ambiance adds to the overall experience.

Ordered golden fried prawns but we got rings onions and 5 or 6 pieces of prawns which was also not good. It is not fair to write fried prawns and serve a plate full on onion rings. Had also ordered tacos which was not even prepared like a Taco it was more like a bao. The ambience and service was really very good but i think they should work on improving the food quality.

I really enjoyed the food I had here! I tried my very first wonton soup, thukpa, and Tibetan butter tea, and everything was so comforting and delicious. If you are a momo lover then you should definitely go to this place and taste their momo and thukpas. It's been years but the taste haven't changed a bit. Love the steamed pork momo big/small here. You can try out different things from their menu as well like noodles, fried rice, kothay and more.

This is arguably the best place for soup chow in Shillong. The chef is Mongolian and makes some amazing food. For the price, it is definitely recommended. I always make it a point to visit here when I'm back in town. Hidden away in the alleys of Police Bazar, lies this pretty picturesque dine in on the third floor of Glory's Plaza. Service was fast, the food tasted great and we too espouse the cause of 'Free Tibet'. Also, extremely budget friendy.

Tibet Kitchen is a highly sought-after Tibetan restaurant amongst the locals in Shillong. It's a bit difficult to locate for the first-time visitors or tourists. You can find this restaurant on the top floor of Glory's Plaza, which is situated at a close proximity to the police bazar center point. I visited this restaurant in the month of November (2021) and tried out a bowl of Chicken Mushroom Soup & a plate of Chicken Steamed Momos. Now, coming to the soup, the quantity that they served was too little & I could hardly find a few tiny chunks of mushroom & chicken slices inside the soup. The flavour however was satisfactory to the taste buds. Next, the Chicken Steamed Momos were ample in quantity (8-9 pieces) but the stuffing inside the momos was negligible. I couldn't find much chicken stuffing inside the momos but there were plenty of onion & garlic pieces for sure. Last but not the least, the ambiance of this restaurant is welcoming and you can see many inspirational quotes of Dalai Lama posted on the walls. The preferred mode of payment is cash, they didn't accept Paytm/Gpay during my visit. Overall, it was a decent dining experience that I had in this restaurant. 👍🏻

The place that really lives up to its name.. truly a sunset cafe... Talking about being at the right place at the right time, we did just that. Love the ambience of the place. The staff were good, the service was good. The food was more than we expected, it was deliciously good. The presentation was good (7/10), Taste 8/10 and the price suits the quality and the quantity, but not the cheesecake, tho, that's a little bit costly 😅

Wonderful cafe with wonderful ambience. The scenery from the cafe is absolutely amazing and one can enjoy coffee looking towards green mountains and beautiful Shillong city. Their menu has wide range of items, also their location is absolutely wonderful. Another amazing thing about this cafe is it is all managed by females only and there is no male staff.

We had their seafood broil, beef tenderloin, prime ribeye steak, calamari and prawns. The seafood was really good, cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. The beef tenderloin was great. The meat was quite tender and cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes and gravy served with it complimented the dish very well. The Prime Ribeye Steak was disappointing, as the meat was quite chewy. It might have been the cooking technique or maybe the meat wasn't of a good quality. Nonetheless, we had a pleasant time. The drinks were also nice. The staff were very courteous and professional.

This place is cozy and quite. The dining area is small but very cute. The food was good nothing fancy but tasted very homely. The roast beef and potato was simple and yum. The pesto pizza was soft , simple and delicious tbh. They have a good option of drinks and other beverages as well

For lunch, we ordered the tacos, which were fresh and flavorful, and the pasta, which tasted great. While vegetarian options are limited, this place is a paradise for non-vegetarians, offering beef, pork, and chicken all in one place. Located in the Laitumkhrah main market, Olivia’s Kitchen provides a nice view of the bustling market streets. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area!

It was the most satisfying meal, we ever had. Thanks to the recommendation of my would be sister-in-law, Olivia's Kitchen really did wonders in our hungry bellies. The tenderloin was absolutely delicious. It coupled well with the Khasi Madarin Salad and a glass of local wine. Amazing food here. Good vibes from the restaurant and polite and quick service. Definitely a star in the city!

When Google asked me what's changed leave a review first thing that came to mind was absolutely everything. I originally visited their location in Polo 3 years back and I wasn't very impressed and i left a review back then which can be found below ending it by saying i hope they improve and man they have! Although the location might be a little small but the decor is nice and very cozy and the service is top tier and last but definitely not the least the food, it was too good. Some of the dishes could be on the costly side but it's worth a try if you can afford it in my case that was the prime picanha with mushroom pepper corn sauce which was a perfectly cooked medium rare-medium well it was soft tender and succulent with a great sear on the outside and well seasoned the only thing i would have asked to be changed the next time i order it would be to make the sauce extra peppery, the sea food broil was next and it was absolutely delicious with a coconut taste lingering at the back of your palate and well cooked sea food what more can you ask for except maybe a bowl of rice to suck up all that delicious broth, the burrata pesto pizza was something I've been wanting to try for a very long time and it was too good I'm definitely ordering that again, the beef fried rice was very well cooked and not greasy at all and finally the pork chop which was great but it had a bit too much fat for my liking. All in all I'm very impressed with how much the quality of everything has improved and i wish they only keep getting better and I'll definitely visit again and again and recommend everyone reading this to go and try it for themselves. Old Review: Here's a very honest review for anyone who cares. The food here is very mediocre and in my opinion quite frankly overpriced. If you're into home cooked style food with a certain flair of fancy garnish for a not so reasonable price then this is the place for you. Honestly the interior is quite frankly all over the place and very "unique" so to say. This is a to go place for people looking for some amazing beef/pork/prawn dishes. Very pocket friendly and located at a market which is hustling and bustling with locals unlike the mainstream Police Bazaar . The local wine choices are the best I have had and the cook on my steak was exactly how I wanted it to be. All the meat used here is outsourced and imported making it a must visit when in shillong.

I came to Meghalaya from Bangladesh to travel the states. To be honest, this place and their staff changed my whole perspective. Food is one thing, but the humility and the behavior of the staff and the manager are so nice, I have never seen such nice people in cafes. The manager was a really nice person, looked over us, wanted to know the feedback of the food and even asked how our trip is going on. He took our photos, and those came out really nice. I mistakenly left my jacket but one of staff noticed, folded my jacket and gave it to me. Regarding food, I took the Basil Pesto Pasta as I'm a vegetarian. It was so good, thanks to the staff that suggested me this one. Wish I could give them six stars on Google maps.

Different flavours for the dishes we had ordered and sincerely we were not disappointed. We just couldn't have enough of the food offered at this place. Good portions and the taste was superb. Will definitely be visiting this place again and again to savour what they have to offer.

Ambience and Atmosphere: Well kept and maintained inspire of being an old Assam type cottage, converted into a dining space. It gives off a homely and pleasant vibe. Food: Food was top notch, everything was fresh and in generous quantity. Service: Polite staff but they did take upto an hour to serve us our meal. Other than that no complaints. There is also a boutique with the cutest handcrafted items ranging from cushion cover, to carpets to shawls.

We had ordered pasta. And it was tasteless. It was unsalted, no seasoning like pepper or oregano or chilly flakes. And plus it took ages to come. A simple white sauce pasta took very long to come. We ordered burger and sizzlers too but took long to come and not great flavors. Just expensive and tasteless food. Location and Ambience is great but food isn't good.

It's a terrace restaurant on the first floor. Ambiance is good, airy and overlooking the road below. We ordered beer but the ones in the menu are not available. Only Tuborg strong was available. Ordered that anyways. Took about 15 minutes to bring the beer. They had to take it from the bar in the basement. Order Scotch. Took the same long time. Ordered snacks but took nearly 30 minutes to be served. We told the waiter to at least serve peanuts or sprouts. He said yes but that didn't come. Service is very slow even though only about 10 guests are there. Food was average. Not a great experience I was looking for given the high cost.

Well, at an average, it was a 2* at a maximum. Taste of the food apart, I have deducted all the points because of the stone cold hospitality that we received. After a long drive, we were pretty tired and went to have coffee and some snacks for refreshments. Firstly, they did not show any apparent interest in the customers, secondly, the waiters were behaving with a weird attitude as know it alls which is pretty darn annoying. We had cappuccino and some pastries and the taste was really mediocre. They may be an old establishment but I think nowadays they are employing unprofessional, careless people to say the least.

Super cheap but not a great taste. Ordered a cinnamon roll and cheese puff which was very decent. I paid only 40 rupees for both the items so it’s that cheap.

I had booked Deadpool Vs Wolverine movie tickets but thought I should eat before going. So I stopped by Joe's Hut near Woodland Hospital. This place has been serving quality & tasty Chinese food for atleast 2 decades now. I've been eating here for years but not as much as I would like. Anyway Bah Joe is very entrepreneurial & runs a cooking class as well. I entered inside a familiar setting, sat on a bamboo chair & had a look at the menu. I've been trying hard to cut down on my carbs intake so I ordered just meat, Chilli Chicken with Mushrooms. The lady asked me if I wanted to parcel but I replied that I would be eating there itself. She had a confused look for a while as she was expecting I would order a fried rice or noodles or even plain rice to go along with it. Anyway my order came & it looked scrumptious. There were 15 pcs of medium sized boneless chicken tossed in a wok with capsicum, tomatoes, onions & mushrooms. The other customers started to stare as I dug into my chicken. The chicken were a little bigger than bite size & though it was a dry dish, the meat was soft & still had some moisture. It wasn't stringy either. I was delighted. The small button mushrooms & veggies gave good company to the chicken. The dish was slightly spicy but nothing to be worried about. 15pcs went down the hatch very quickly as I definitely enjoyed my meal. These kind of places do not rely on advertisement or social media or foodbloggers, so are not very hip & happening. Yet they strictly let their food do the talking & have a genuine fan following.
