The Black Forest cake was incredibly light and fluffy with cherries and chocolate – Easily one of the best Black Forest cakes we’ve had – rich, but never heavy. The passion fruit cheesecake was equally stunning – creamy, tangy, and beautifully fresh. Paired with great coffee and charming outdoor seating, it’s the perfect treat stop in the heart of Baden-Baden.

The cakes were delicious, slightly on the pricey side but the cafe’s ambience is wonderful. The Black Forest cake was light, with fluffy cream, a subtle touch of cherry liqueur that wasn’t overpowering, and just the right amount of cherries topped with dark chocolate. Each element of the cake was well-balanced, making it a delightful treat. I would definitely come back again.

Very aristocratic cafe with classic hot drinks sweets and cakes. The service although performed in English needs some improvement to adjust and ensemble to the rest of the decor. The cakes were some average some good. The black forest was very nice. Tea portions were minion but nice quality and taste. Please note that first you need to order your sweets take your receipt and then go to the table to order your hot drinks and give the receipt to your serving waiter.

The waiter was screaming at me and my Family.. with no reason. She woke up my little 1,5 yo baby, while the waitress was yelling at us. I’m very very upset about the service we received here last Friday 12 Sept. at 2:45 pm. I came in and asked a waiter if we can sit outside at the table drink some tea with sweets we’re buying from their shop, she said yes, it’s ok. And I was sited and served with tea and some sweets. Then suddenly that “evil” waitress appeared behind my back! And started Yelling right away at me., smth like that it is not allowed to eat sweets from their shop here at the table.. I didn’t even understand what does she want.. she was so angry at us.. but we didn’t do anything wrong. I was disappointed with such a behavior. we were just seated and served by another waitress, and she was ok, serving us good. Other guests in the cafe were also surprised with this, you could see that on their faces.. it was so embarrassing. Not nice at all. .. I consider this as Service Crime against guests and the business also $$$. The name of this cafe - Kings!!??? This kind of service is not even close this word. The “evil” waitress refused to tell her name after the accident, telling that she has GDPR rights not to tell her name to clients)) ok. But what happens with my right to be treated as a human being and as a customer.? *I describe the waitress, so other customers may be aware. She has white colored hair, short haircut, aged.. and not nice) When I asked others from the team who is the general manager responsible for the service, they refused to tell that. And finally said that she is the main manager responsible for the service..)) that’s so sad.. if it’s true. PS: from the business prospective. We ordered sweets for 55 Eur this time.) and she was just Yelling at my Family.. because of what? A bad day or smth.. business looses me, my Family, my friends, recommendations , friends of my friends.. and so on. Gets a 1-star review.. + loses future sales. €€ We were shopping here before and visited this place several times for breakfast, sweets. Spent several hundred here already before,.. and could spend more this year and next, and then. So it will be some minus €€€ euro amount life time from the turnover from a business side, * multiple by how many times this kind of service happens.. how many customers are lost because of this waitress. and the service. the business looses thousands of Eur each year. The coffee itself was outstanding — perfectly brewed, rich in flavour, and paired with an impeccable selection of pastries and sweets that were not only beautiful to look at but absolutely delicious. The surroundings also impressed me — a charming historic café located at Lichtentaler Str. 12, in the heart of Baden-Baden, with indoor seating and a lovely terrace under an old linden tree. Order a pizza with truffle and age prosciutto. Suitable for people who likes flavors. Pizza was amazing with the nicely baked crispy crust with a nice chewy texture to the dough. Generous with ingredients and the finishing olive oil drizzle. Worth it value

Pizzas are delicious. The pizza dough is light and clearly from long fermentation process, just as in good italian pizzas. The ambience outside is super nice, specially in sunny days. Service was correct and prices are high, like in most restaurants in Baden Baden…

Great quality food and a fab atmosphere. Staff all spoke English (thankfully!) - and there was a really nice vibe to the place. We ordered 2x pizzas and a carbonara. All were delicious with fresh ingredients thronughout. The only negative was service was a tad slow. That said, it was a busy Saturday evening and the staff were clearly working hard to keep up. It didn't detract from the experience - so 5 stars from us!... Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend the Los Muertos aperitivo.

Traveling from Canada 🇨🇦 to Karlsruhe, Germany, to our surprise, we found out that our favorite Instagram chef's restaurant is located in Baden-Baden, Germany. It was a must for us to go and check it out. We were even more surprised to find out that he was working on the floor and even greeted/ served our table. The food was absolutely delicious. He recommended the anti pasta, which was fantastic, with great selections of fruits, vegetables, and cured meats. Pizza was baked to perfection with a great crust, very fresh ingredients. Our experience was topped by a delicious dessert. Overall, I highly recommend 87 Mamma Lina in Baden-Baden, very friendly and caring staff. Spacious open outdoor patio in backyard, also covered area.

We booked in anticipation of highly reviews Resturant in Baden Baden. The owner was very rude and was somehow serving us. Had to ask for water to wine without him being asked once if we needed anything or food was ok. Pizza was stone cold. Carpaccio was dark brown instead of being pink. When bill came he even charge comped desert for birthday. And we had ordered our own desert Already. When I inspected the bill he said he made a mistake and charged 20 euro for service which suppose to be a tip of my choice. When asked rudely answered and made remark about me being angry in front of my family where as I was just asking politely what it was. I wouldn’t recommend or go here again ever. Beware.

Be careful when the waiter comes and offers the antipasti plate to share. Our waiter did not mention the price and it’s extremely expensive: 75€!!! Good but definitely not worth the money

The service was amazing, great atmosphere, really good servers, but the food was only ok. The pizza was really weird, like the dough was undercooked.

We spent a weekend around Baden Baden and decided to grab some breakfast here. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of coffee, as well as cookies and pastries. We tried the flat white (comes with a cookie) and the French toast. When I tell you, this was the BEST French toast I’ve ever had, it’s true. Between friendly service and top notch food, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try! You won’t be disappointed.

This cafe was super cute with great atmosphere, food and drinks! I ordered a capuchino and a slice of blueberry custard pie which was really delicious. The tarte of the blueberry paird perfectly with the sweetness of the custard, I would definitely recommend getting a slice! My friend ordered the jasmine tea which teasted great along with a buttery and rich croissant. They also have a great menue with a diverse selection of teas. This is a great place to chill with friends and start your day in baden-baden!

Amazing coffee shop! They have anything you want, even hot breakfasts! Nice service, tasty teas and coffees.

The French toast was also yummy and great paired with good coffee to balance the sweetness!

This is a beautiful spot with stunning scenery all around. We made a quick stop here and ordered coffee, which was decent but not as fresh as we'd hoped. The lady at the counter wasn't particularly friendly, either. However, the location itself is perfect for a brief stop. With its natural beauty and cozy ambience, it's an ideal place to take a relaxing break.

The food is super good. Products are very fresh and of high quality. BUT!! The service time is toooooo long. 45+ minutes for schnitzel and steak while the terrace is half empty isn’t normal. We were in the daytime. + There are plenty of flies outside, and eating in such company isn’t very pleasant. These points worsen the whole experience too much.

Last year, on my way to a hiking trip, I noticed this restaurant and told myself I’d stop by next time. This year I finally did, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a real German vibe. The menu is full of options and specialties, and the service is both friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. There’s a small river with a bridge nearby, plenty of parking, and even a little shop where you can buy local products. The place is charming, welcoming, and absolutely worth a stop. It may be a bit on the expensive side, but it’s definitely worth it.

Stopped here on our way to the waterfalls to pick some snacks. The bakery stuff is super fresh and absolutely delicious. The prices are a bit high though. They also have local wines and specialty food.

The review os about the restaurant. Service is good, atmosphere is great and everything around it. But when ot comes to food it is really bad. The grilled chicken and burger are one of the worst things. I think that the chicken was rotten or old. The food is cooked in advance and then warmed up. So, you may enjoy the view and atmosphere but food, think about it.

Really wonderful place! The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The market and restaurant are great! The best part was our waiter, Pablo. He works so hard to make sure that everyone is taken care of and feels special. He made our stay feel like home!

Very good lunch. Had the watermelon salad, imagine a nice vinaigrette salad with watermelon instead of tomatoes. Believe it or not it works. The steak was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant.

Appetizers, dinner, and drinks were great. Creme brulee was less than desired and wifi did not work in the beautiful outdoor seating area.

A lovely atmosphere and friendly staff welcomed a group of 3 without a reservation. We were seated quickly and our drinks order arrived soon after, beer, although strangely not on the menu. Perusing the menu, which had plenty of choice, we placed our order. After the shortest wait I've ever had at a restaurant, we were served our food, 2 risottos and a pizza, piping hot and delicious. My only criticism would be it is on the expensive side, but you get a quality product for your money.

We loved this restaurant so much! Grilled Octopus, that I take, was cooked excellent - soft and delicious. Highly recommended! My husband ordered sturgeon steak with black caviar- amazing and not expansive (I was surprised of that). So, we ate a bit more than necessary only because of everything was too much tasty! Including wonderful dessert. I would say that this restaurant has fine cousin. We’ll come back for sure! Thanks to chef and waiter Polina.

We just had a lovely dinner at the Stahlbad in Baden Baden. Both the service and food were excellent. It is situated close to our hotel on the Lichtentaler Allee, has pleasant views and good music. We would recommend it highly.

Highly recommended! Nice atmosphere and amazing waitress! Forgot her name, but she made the whole dinner experience very special and fun! Lamb and steak tapas were good.

From the moment you enter, you feel you’re “in the right place” for a perfect service, delicious food, great atmosphere. We followed the staff advice to take red wine risotto and tempura veggies. You have to take these mandatory two. We also had codfish- very smelly, but delicious, plate of hams- felt very authentic, as well as grilled goat cheese with honey- all delicious. Both the red and the white riojas are typical “crowd pleasers”, and they did not disappoint either. We will definitely come back here if in this area again.

Good atmosphere, service was also quite good for how busy they were. We were lucky to get a table and this place did not disappoint. I could not order everything on the menu, sadly, but what I got was amazing. The octopus (grilled I tried, next time I’ll get the other way they prepare it) was amazing

I visited with my boyfriend for our anniversary, they fit us in straight away even though we booked late. The ladies serving had amazing personalities and were very helpful. THE FOOD! Was incredible, i highly recommend attending this establishment. If we were to revisit Baden-Baden this would be the first place we visit. Get the honey & goats cheese!

Visited in a group of 4 and ordered a thali each. As we ordered both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis, we got to taste pretty much everything. The food is not authentic at all. The tarka daal felt raw and not cooked enough. The Baingan Bharat lacked flavour. The malai kofta lacked the sweetness and complexity of flavour. Same for the jalfrezi. Too add spice, they gave us some store bought chilli-paste, not even Indian aachar. Overall, the food was very disappointing. I don’t remember the last time I had Indian food this inauthentic and flavourless. Additionally, it is unnecessarily expensive. The food does not, by any means, justify the price tag. Would not recommend at all if you already know what Indian food is supposed to taste like.

The food is ok, really adapted to Europeans. Meaning the seasoning is very bland for an authentic Indian place. The price is on the higher side but considering the atmosphere (also very European for an Indian place) you can expect that.

For the food, i think the taste was good, they probably got some fusion between indian and other culture. Lamb Biryani (Gosht Biryani) It was the wettest Biryani i have ever eat, the rice suppose to be dry. feels like eating risotto. for the taste, it taste good, just not a typical lamb Biryani. the rice doesnt have much lamb taste. more like just adding in the lamb later on. it does mixed well with the yogurt salad they provide. Malai Kafta the taste definuitely like authentic indian food, the gravy was amazing, it makes you keep eating. It is mixed very well with basmati rice. Sabzi Pakora it was really a good starter. first time eating this. well seasoned and fried. have a taste of muruku, probably because of chickpea. Mango Lassi and Salt Lassi lassi was just okay. they are not using fresh mango to make. not sure whether the yogurt is homemade. they just mix juices and yogurt. The overall experience was okay. we were placed to sit at the bar counter, it was not very spacious, not much leg room. the staff was okay, friendly enough.

This was the best steak I ever had. It was cooked perfectly. It had delicious herbs, spices, a bit of gravy and the right amount of cooked onions and capers with a potato confit. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was the best German experience you could ask for.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, picked out a great wine for us, altered dishes to make them vegetarian with no fuss, and the food was amazing. Great salads and tarts; my steak came in a delicious sauce, the desserts were simple and delicious. It was the best meal we had in a week of traveling in Germany. Great courtyard.

An authentic and welcoming restaurant. Nicole was very helpful in explaining the menu and making wine suggestions. Best to book ahead, and try to arrive early (it can get crowded) and with a hearty appetite - the food is delicious and the servings are generous.

A little beautiful hidden jewel - best food we had in Baden-Baden by a mile!!!! The Wurstsalat , Perlhuhnbrust and Steak were out of this world. Service extremely nice , very good winelist as well. Our only regret was, that we were too full to try one of the Desserts as the Special of Homemade plum compote with goat cheese ice cream just sounded so good. Will definitely be back.

A hidden gem in Baden-baden. Really enjoyed my dinner here with a warm and welcoming host. As I looked through the menu, I took a while to decide as all the items look amazing. I had the guineafowl breast which is very succulent and juicy and the apple tarte flambée which is definitely a must! This dining experience is indeed one of the best things that Baden-baden has to offer.

I will have to come back to Baden Baden .. maybe Baldreit will be just of the reasons why. The place is simple .. kinda typical german with some amazing good food ! I had such a surprise discovering then tasting my salmon trout (with the delicious smashed potatoes witg olives) then was also amazed by the sweet apple flamenkuch ... We had Nigrum for our new year's eve dinner. The food is amazing and quite innovative. Wine selection is good with helpful staff advising us on the wine pairing. However, the pacing of the meal could be improved. The first few dishes came very fast while the main dish and the dessert was a bit slow. Location is iconic but not so easy to find if you're walking around Baden-Baden.

The food is good although some of the dishes need more seasoning and can be a little flat in flavor. The tartar was supposed to be done table side, but wasn't. The service is great and very friendly. The decor seems a little too messy. To get to the restaurant you need to walk up a steep hill, so bring comfortable shoes if you are walking

A wonderful fine dining experience! A special celebration for my daughter, Kate’s Birthday during our stay in Baden-Baden in July 2023. We definitely recommend the restaurant. The service was excellent and waiters very attentive and helpful! We chose the 3 course option at €99 each and had some lovely German red wine to accompany the meal. Some beautiful little extra platters served free too. Overall a memorable night.

The restaurant staff are really helpful and friendly. They suggested local white wine, which has a great smell and texture that we asked if we could buy a drink a whole bottle to take home, and they sold us a new bottle. The dishes have a balanced taste and interesting additions to the main ingredients. The desserts are sprinkled over with Nougat, making it extra crispy and delicate. Plus, they allow you to select the number of dishes in this meal. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the perfect beer garden near Baden Baden. They have very good food. My favourite are Wurst salad and Rainbow trout. Beer is outstanding. Prises are reasonable. Service nice and friendly.

Drove past this beautiful restaurant in Baden-Baden. It is next to a local market with plenty of unique finds. Glad we decided to stop and give it a try. The restaurant had plenty of outdoor seating for families and friends. Enjoyed the curry wurst and schnitzel. Local beer did not disappoint either.

I walked here from Baden-Baden for a change of scenery from the city. Friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. I had the local roulade, incredibly rich and full of flavour. Children's play are outside and plenty of terrace seating and indoor.

Just ok...3 of my choices were off the menu which is probably about right for a Monday evening ..lovely waitress who spoke English and helped me choose ...starter of trout was excellent then pork in ale with potato dumplings ...just ok. Overall, delightful experience. We went for breakfast. The place initially looked expensive . The ambience was beautiful!!!! and menu is very very affordable. The places to seat are beautifully arranged. The service is also very good! Food is delicious.. If you re travelling through the road or in the neighbourhood, highly recommend to visit.

Pleasant restaurant with a good variety of local dishes in nice surroundings. There was plenty of parking and there was a small children's play area. There was also a shop selling many delicious local meats, cheeses and bread.

It’s the same place for breakfast, so the dining room and outdoor seating were pleasant. The music was a bit loud, but it was okay. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, so we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Now, the taste was a bit of a letdown. I could only say that I might not be a fan of Asian Fusion cuisine. It was just okay. We did go back twice because it was too hot to go outside.

Good restaurant with fresh fish and quality rolls. We didn't book a table on saturday night but found a seat at the cozy bar. It's good when the customer is at the head of the service, but this is not about this place. The restaurant is very stylish and cool and the staff enjoy it and the customer is just an addition to the furniture. But give it a try.

Amazing, good looking and aromatic food. The waiter had patience and took his time to recommend items out of broad food selection. Also good list of foreign drinks (Italian beer for example) and sake selection. Would recommend in a heartbeat!!!

I was staying here in the hotel and trying to get over my jet lag. I found that miso soup helped my upset stomach. It was nice that they had room service to bring this up to my room and I could access the full menu of the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was extensive. There was something for everyone and I was able to order an omelette from the chef. You could even make your own mimosas or screwdrivers if you wanted. For dinner you could either order the international meal menu or their Japanese menu. Because I was here for two weeks I got to try a lot of their menu and it was all good and tasty. Even if you are not staying at the hotel this is a good restaurant to try.

The tafelspitz was good (though I would have loved more vegetables to go with it) but the kaiserschmarrn were the best I ever had! Soft and flavourful with a little caramelized crunch to them.

A hidden gem! A very serene ambiance, with delicious food and friendly service. The terrace is cozy and faces greenery. You can also taste the love in the food. We had the Sauerbraten, Rostbraten, and Schwein Schnitzel. All were delightful and very tasty! Highly recommend!

The quality of the food is one of the best in Baden-Baden. Such a cozy place with great service. Apart from dining, they also do private events. The upstairs seating area is perfect for events. I had my wedding reception here and I must say it was the best choice we made.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a special night. We got the tasting menu and it was definitely worth the money. The wine list is also fantastic and you will definitely find something great at a good price point. If you are in baden baden don't miss this place

Nice restaurant with good food, we try the goulas soup, the spaetzle with chees and spaetzle with ragu sauce. Also, the traditional desert apple strudel. The service was good and the palce is very nice.

I would caveat this review by noting that when my friend and I arrived at the restaurant, we were extremely hungry having just walked 15km and climbed Merkur. However, we rank this as one of our favourite meals together and our favourite meal of our holiday in Baden Baden. While the food is not outstanding, it is tasty, with generous portions. We ate schnitzel, beef stew and Black Forest cake. All very satisfying. The view is amazing and we found the service friendly and welcoming. I would visit again.

Great cafe bar with incredibly hard working, engaging and attentive staff. Lovely place atop the hill overlooking the town. Good beer and broad and very well priced menu. Cakes were popular. Nice atmosphere. Exceeded expectations.

This place is CASH ONLY so be prepared for that. They also have the only bathrooms for 5+ km if you're planning to hike down. The bathrooms were cramped and felt a bit unkempt but was clean enough. You can't really go wrong with beer, and its a beautiful setting to have a drink. The desserts of the day seemed to be very popular although we didn't try the food. The outdoor seating was comfortable and there was clearly more space inside too.

We have been coming to this restaurant every single year for over 10 years and we loved it. This year, when we visited Baden Baden in September 2024, we were looking forward to have some usual food there too but unfortunately it was absolutely terrible experience. Beautiful salad with beef turned into nasty, tasteless, cheap ingredients something that was topped up with sweet chilli sauce to the point that all ingredients were flooded in the sauce. I’m sorry, if I wanted that amount of sweet chilli sauce, I would go to the Chinese restaurant, but I came to German restaurant to have my normal beautiful salad but alas. When I mentioned that to the waiter, he informed me that the kitchen has changed and the menu has changed. Please, do me a favour. Come back to normal standards because this is a shame what you’ve done. Changes have to be made in order to get better, not to ruin what was once good. You have lost our family as a client for now until you start serving good food again.

Update I haven't been here for about 5 months. Now the Avocado Stulle is diy style.. and less Avocado...less bread but higher price. Coffee might be OK, but im quite disappointed. It is starting to become a tourist trap. If you want coffee, go there...but it's overpriced coming to food and dessert. And the quality is quite uite average now. Tourists en masse,so they don't seem to be interested in regular guests anymore other than for a short coffee stop. They make it clear they want you out fast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great wine options. For the price we paid we were expecting more of a fine dining experience. But the dishes did not meet our expectations as they were more ‘homely’.

Food and service are good, however i would not rate it as fine dining, except the menu price😂. in terms of value, we spent 180€ for three course and wine. I don’t think it worth it. The bottle of water is 8€. The Brest of Peasant was over cooked. It’s Not a restaurant i would like to visit twice. If there is a rating between 3 and 4, I will probably just give 3.5 because of it’s over charged.

On July the 10th 2023 we visited this restaurant after seeing the menu and overall satisfied reviews online. We do not recommend going to this place at all. The prices are very high, and they do not correspond to the quality of the dishes. Everything looked beautiful, but tasted bland. The dessert was literally the worst restaurant dessert in my whole life. Unfortunately, when it comes to the service, it doesn't get better. The waiter willingly served guests who came in large groups, entertained them throughout the evening. Although, he decided that we weren't worthy of his attention, as there was only two of us. The concept of serving wines was also very strange. For some reason the waiter took the bottle we paid for off our table and we had to always ask for a pour - it was impossible to get the waiter. Apparently, they keep the rest of the wines in order to sell it to other customers, which is a very dishonest strategy when you pay for the whole bottle. Later, I left a negative review on my Instagram page with a link to the restaurant, and the restaurant representative, instead of finding out more about our complaints and resolving it, began to threaten me and demand that I immediately delete my negative review. It was shocking. All in all, Heine's is the worst restaurant of all that we have visited in Baden-Baden, we regret the money spent and the ruined night.

The sommelier, Michael, and chef, Tobias, are a match made in heaven. This restaurant deserves a Bib Gourmand label. Excellent food, thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions and at reasonable prices, coupled with Michael Heine's deep knowledge and insight into German wine, both Baden and beyond. Many wines can be enjoyed by the glass. Michael is a generous and pleasant host, very personable and communicative. I will be back.

Not many words can properly describe how wonderful this place is! Take the food from a 5 star restaurant and take away the stiffness and pretentiousness and you get this place. It was quaint and comfortable. Come casually or dressed to the nines and you’ll fit right in either way. The food is like art and fabulous! The menu changes often and can be found on their Facebook page. It’s so fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I highly recommend doing at least the three course meal. I can’t imagine just ordering one plate. We ordered the 5 course with wine pairing and spent a wonderful three hour dinner just melting over each plate and each glass. You absolutely must try!

This one is a bit hard to find with current construction on the hotel, but it is open. We had a lovely meal here. The beef tartar was fantastic. They prepare it at the table to your liking. The lobster pasta was pretty inedible, but the fish was fantastic. They brought out chocolate truffles at the end as well which was a great touch.

Atmosphere was perfect. Decorations were beautiful. Lettuce salad was amazing as was the risotto. The duck was cooked perfectly but overly sauced which made the plate soggy. The sides didn’t bring anything to the dish and the black and brown purées were off putting (too salty). The pork dish was good but the highlight was the sauce. Our waitress (Charlotte) was nice and very attentive.
