A must-visit restaurant if you’re passing through Manchester (or any city lucky enough to have one). Dishoom is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to — exceptional food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes the entire experience memorable. Make sure to book a few days in advance, as it’s always in high demand and for good reason. The service is top-notch; our server knew the menu inside out and gave us a detailed rundown before we ordered, which was actually very helpful given how extensive the menu is. Now, onto the real star the food. We ordered the lamb samosas, chilli chicken, Dishoom chicken tikka, ruby chicken, chicken biryani, mutton pepper fry, and garlic naan. Every single dish stood out, and what impressed me most was that everyone at the table had a different favorite; a true testament to the consistency and quality of the kitchen. We wrapped up with house chai and rice pudding. The chai was comforting and aromatic; the rice pudding was decent, though not quite at the same level as the mains. Overall, Dishoom delivers an unforgettable dining experience, a perfect blend of flavor, service, and charm. Highly recommended

In the waiting lobby we were provided with free cups of chai which enlightened our whole mood while the table was being arranged. The place is too big. We had Butter chicken(Chicken Ruby), Dal makhani and Mattar Paneer out of which I liked Chicken Ruby and Mattar Paneer the most. Dal Makhani was okayish. Prices were also decent. Service and food quality was too notch. A wonderful experience for Indians with perfect blend of Indian spices and aroma with perfect vibe of vintage Bollywood style.

Such a great experience. The food was amazing. Service was excellent. I have an allergy and the chef checked the whole menu what I could order and what not. They took it seriously. The place looks amazing. I recommend this place 10/10.

The atmosphere was pleasant, though a little on the loud side due to the building’s acoustics. Service was excellent with attentive staff throughout the evening. The food, however, was mixed. The lamb chops were disappointing — overpriced, underwhelming in flavour, and nowhere near the standard of Dastaan or Khai Khai. A real letdown. On the other hand, the keema was beautifully spiced and truly met the benchmark of authentic North Indian Punjabi cooking. Everything else on the menu was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. With such limited main course options and no standout dishes to draw me back, I’m not sure I’d return.

We had a very pleasant experience at Dishoom, we’d been wanting to try it for years, and it lived up to our expectations in many ways. The food was overall quite good; we especially loved the ruby chicken and the broccoli salad. The grilled meats were decent, though the lamb was a bit too spicy for our taste. Service was excellent, the staff greeted us warmly and remained attentive throughout the meal. The environment was lively, though a bit loud and crowded. It ran like a well-oiled machine, impressively efficient, though perhaps a little too polished to feel truly relaxed.

Quick and friendly, service the staff were welcoming and attentive from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely amazing, with high-quality ingredients and authentic flavours, all at a very reasonable price. I ordered the Wrestler’s Naan Roll, which was delightful, perfectly cooked naan, packed with flavour, and a great balance of spice and texture. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Dishoom!

Great vegetarian food and great atmosphere for a very reasonable price. Waiters were very nice and kind. When we ordered, we were notified that one of the drinks we wanted was unavailable, so we ordered something else, however before we left, they got stock back in and so gave it on the house. Will definitely be coming again.

We were served by Phoebe and her service was impeccable. The food here is also really good, that we ate here twice despite only being in Manchester for a short while! I had the Bronx Brunch and it was delicious. Loved loved this restaurant and would seriously recommend it to anybody unsure of what to eat while in Manchester. The cookie butter shake was also so amazing for my sweet tooth! Thank you guys for the great food.

Brought my Mum here for part of her 60th birthday treat for breakfast. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. Phoebe was an excellent server, friendly and had a wonderful attitude. Nothing was an issue and happy to help. Absolutely will be coming again. Can't recommend enough. Been a few times and it's always been great service. Converted my Mum and partner into moose coffee. Moose Coffee is a lovely spot for breakfast or an all-day bite in Manchester. The place has a nice vibe, with the option to sit indoors or enjoy the al fresco area if the weather's good. The coffee was very good - smooth, strong, and exactly what you'd want to start the day with. Service was excellent as well; the team was friendly, attentive, and kept things running efficiently even when it was busy. All in all, a very nice place to relax over breakfast or brunch, with good coffee and warm service making it well worth a visit.

Before leaving Manchester, I went to Moose Coffee. Their coffee was a bit light for my taste. I tried their Americano—it was okay, not bitter, not overly roasted, with a slight hint of coffee aroma. The Flat White was a bit disappointing, as the milk overpowered the coffee (the coffee does look good on the photo). The avocado with poached eggs tasted good (they put the sweet and spicy sauce + 1 slice of lemon), and the price-to-performance was excellent (served with 2 slices of sourdough, as you can see from the picture). The portion was generous enough to share with my friend. Staff are friendly and attentive!

Excellent service and amazing food as always. Phoebe our waitress was so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had a wonderful experience. I tried the new lemon curd cheesecake pancakes today with digestive crumbles biscuit sprinkled over the top. Absolutely delicious. My props to chef Michael.

We come to Moose almost every time we come to Manchester and always have incredible food and amazing service! Highly recommend to everyone, and often bring family to try! Everyone is always super impressed. I do recommend booking though, it gets very busy (because it's so good!) NEED to get a couple of the mugs for home they're so so cute !!

Always a bustling place this, really nice staff and food with a good selection of all day breakfasts and lunches. Dog friendly too, so we'll be back soon with our doggy. Wait for a table was expected to be 20 minutes, but we waited barely 10 because they were so efficient. Shame we'll miss the August specials. The food and the coffee was awesome!!

Great place for breakfast! Really friendly staff/helpful staff, loved they asked about allergies cause I have a nut allergy. Eggs benny was delicious! I do wish my large cappuccino was stronger, only one shot of espresso so it was a bit weak :(

We went to Ezra and Gils for our son’s 1st bday breakfast and it was AWESOME! Kat helped us to the table and was really really nice. She recommended some things on the menu(everything was great) and even took a Polaroid of us 🥰 Highly recommend for the service and the quality as well!

A must-visit if you’re looking for good brunch. I was in manchester for just a weekend and still chose to go to this same place twice because of how good it was. The pulled pork benedict was definitely the best thing on the menu, but the variety of options is also good, and their poached eggs did not disappoint once. The coffee was fantastic, and the bloody marys, a cocktail that’s so easy to get wrong, was just right in every way. Perfect pick-me-up after an evening in the Turnstile mosh pit!! A warm welcome at the door by Alice, and great friendly service by jack . Fantastic full English and two full flavoured americanos to help recover from last night . This is my go to place in Manchester for the perfect breakfast ,delicious coffee and very friendly staff .

My flatbread was pretty tough and there wasn’t much flavour in the food. They missed my coffee and I had to remind them twice to finally get my coffee. I’m also quite surprised that they don’t serve atleast halal chicken, especially in a city like Manchester which has a huge Muslim population. I asked to check if the chicken was halal and the server pulled quite a face when I asked?? Felt rude to me and quite dismissive. Coffee tasted fine but not the best. Service was pretty bad in my experience.

visited Federal Cafe Bar on Saturday morning, and it was the best way to start my day. They serve a wonderful breakfast, great coffee, and the warmest smiles. Special thanks to all the staff – it was a real pleasure meeting Harry with his beautiful smile. The place is super cozy. I ordered a large cappuccino and their special French toast – both were amazing. Thank you so much! ♥️

First time coming and honestly, it was incredible! No wonder people rave about Federal and queue up for it, food was incredible, best French toast I’ve had in a long time, atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. We had a lovely, bubbly waitress Ella, who was just so smiley and had a lovely warmth to her which made the experience even better!

Josh and the entire team were fabulous. It doesn’t just stop there, this was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had (world wide). Oh and the coffee was sensational. I cannot find fault. This place is a god send!

After doing lots of research into finding a brunch spot in manchester plenty of reviews told us to visit Federal. We queued for 30-40 minutes and the staff were lovely- chatting to us in the queue, giving out snacks and umbrellas when it was raining. We both ordered the eggs Benedict which cost £16.50 which i thought was very steep for 1 slice of bread. The food was just okay- i am confused about the hype of this place maybe we ordered wrongly but it was really nothing special! Its also quite cramped in there and sitting on a bar stool was not the comfiest. I don’t personally think it’s worth queuing for!

Expect a queue on the weekends. You can order via the QR code or at the till. We went for brunch and queued for about 15 minutes, we skipped the wait since we were okay with a window seat. The food was good overall. The sourdough’s crust was a bit tough, but I’ve had worse. The banana cake wasn’t really to my taste – it was quite dry and only improved after adding some of the mascarpone cream. The matcha latte was very light; not sweet, but the matcha flavor was also quite weak. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant. Overall, a decent brunch spot if you’re not in a rush and enjoy a relaxed vibe, though some of the dishes could be stronger in flavor.

The food is good, although I recommend ordering pastries and cakes rather than sandwiches/brunch dishes as baked goods is where Pollen's strength is. Every baked good I tried was fantastic, while the brunch dishes were nothing remarkable. The location is great, and the space is very open and suitable for remote working, as well as it is dog-friendly. Perhaps the biggest negative is that due to the place's size and the fact that remote workers stay there for hours, ordinary customers are often sharing a table with someone else - and the tables are not big. It is a bit uncomfortable if you are trying to have an intimate conversation with friends, and the person next to you is on a meeting with their boss. The place is lovely, but it is way too overhyped on social media. It does not live up to the hype, although I would go there again.

Delicious food!! So good! I would have bought one of their massive sourdough breads that look so tasty but I had no room to take it. A little warm inside, a fan would do well there on hot sunny days. Free self-water, kind service, take your time here as on busy days it is slower. Beautiful being by the riverway.

One of the best breakfast we ever ate! Lovely place,fresh ingredients,super tasy. Especially recommend to try egg benedicts and homemade hashbrowns with kimchi sauce!!! They have also good coffee and fresh pastries🫠

My favourite bakery in Manchester. I used to get my sourdough there a couple of times a week (for me, it’s the best in a very competitive field!) and loved working my way through their pastries and sweet treats. The staff are the absolute best—so friendly and warm. I also love the location; it’s full of natural light, overlooking the marina, with outdoor seating for sunny days. The cooked breakfasts are excellent too. Honestly, everything I’ve had here has been top drawer. 🥐

Pollen is always a solid, consistent choice as a bakery/cafe. Whilst some of their prices have increased to the point where you question why does a small ceasar sandwich needs to cost £9, they still maintain their consistency and quality of products. My favourite Pollen purchase is their bread (and probably the only reasonably priced thing in there, alongside the croissants). You can't go wrong with them, but just bear in mind that the quality is reflected in what you pay.

Came for my birthday brunch with my friends. I had the lemon and blueberry french toast and they both had the hash brown bun. All of the food was absolutely delicious and the coffees were delectable. Shout out to the server who gave me a free cake for my birthday, it made my day!! We will definitely be returning to try out more of the menu!

I had a lovely meal but the main course took a while to come out. The staff were helpful and very polite. The food itself was nice. The lamb biryani was probably the best from our order. I think it is expensive for the food and portions but it is in central Manchester. There is NCP parking near by so very convenient to park up and walk across.

As for aesthetic the place is very nice and the atmosphere was good I liked how it was a bit dark and not bright in the restaurant so it nice for photos but the curry’s we a bit bland the weren’t bad but lacking seasoning and flavour. The staff were nice and the service was fast. However when it came to paying they added an unknown service fee we noticed after we had already payed.

Fantastic food. Was a busy busy atmosphere. Was quite chaotic. Went about 4-5pm on a sunday. Food was fantastic. Did the £60 for 2 roast and lots of food. Chicken and beef was a bit over cooked and dry but lamb was perfect. Good value for money

The food was amazing although quite expensive. Specially loved the dessert section despite feeling 9.5£ for each dessert is horrendously expensive. What made us a little disappointed with the staff was, that they didn't give us the weekday 12-4 tiffin lunch menu as they were cheaper. We felt that's a trick so that we are forced to get the ala varte expensive menu. The staffs were otherwise very good. Love the service received. However, it's quite loud and noisy. Saying that, some people might love it! So overall, it's reasonable dining with friends. May be not for family so much.

Zouk was recommended to me by my friend, as a place we should visit when I come to Manchester. The atmosphere was welcoming and I loved the flower wall backdrop at the entrance. My friend and I took a lot of lovely pictures there and it was cute to find out they spelt out Zouk on it. The staff were pleasant and professional. The food was good, I had the Tandoori Mixed Grill as appetizer, Salmon with Gunpowder Chips and Garlic Naan Bread. The star of the show were the cocktailss! I had two Passion Fruit Mojitos and a Strawberry Daiquiri, they were that good, yuumm! The negatives were the high service charge, already paid before noticing this and the staff were so eager to get our order, we felt quite under pressure as we had just got in and hadn't settled in yet. I recommend Zouk and I'll definitely visit when next I'm in Manchester especially for the cocktails.

The only reason I am not rating this 1/5 is because I do not like leaving bad reviews and the food wasn’t awful. Location is decent. Restaurant itself is very nice. • Starters came but the water we asked for didn’t so had to ask twice for some water • Was not asked once how the food was during or after the meal • Parts of the food was cold • Nobody asked if we wanted any more drinks or a dessert • We had to ask for the bill (after waiting for a while for someone to notice) • Nobody came over to help us pay the bill for a while so we also had to ask for this • We had a special request on the booking because it was someone’s birthday. This was completely ignored • We decided to ask for the service charge to be removed as there wasn’t 1 single person who deserved a tip in this experience. The staff member then simply pointed at the bill to indicate she was removing the service charge • There was no apology even after this and nobody even attempted to rectify the experience I do not want to damage a business because other people’s experiences may be different, however, I am very disappointed that I had an experience like this for such a fancy looking restaurant.

This place is really good and has amazing decor. The food I ordered were the lamb laziz, chicken karahi and biryani which were all delicious and also the dessert warm pistachio scouffle that was impressive. The staff were kind too. Highly recommend this place for those who eat asian dishes.

I run creative collage workshops here every month and I am always so grateful for the wonderful support from the staff. Emily who helped out today was absolutely fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Just like all the team members who always assist me with setting up the space and promptly serve drinks to workshop guests. I love the soundtrack they play and the interior vibe. It is definitely one of my favorite venues to host workshops at. The drinks are always top notch and I finally got to try some of the food today. It was incredible. I am really looking forward to trying the Sunday roast soon because everything always looks delicious. I would also like to add in that Kevin is lovely too! Stayed here in a suite at the weekend and I'm in awe! The room was just out of this world. Spacious, very clean and had an industrial vibe. All amenities catered for every need possible. The toiletries were gorgeous (and yes there is a hairdryer too). Easiest check in and out I've ever known. The ground floor has comfy sofas, booths, bar and restaurant and the ultimate - it's own dj's! Just sat listening to them, drinking and chilling was what was needed. Breakfast was delightful and the monitor just topped the bill. Definitely worth every penny and more.

Ordered vegan burger and fries. Fries were great, burger itself was disgusting. I've tried many a vegan burger but I simply couldn't eat this one despite being hungry. Given all of the tasty vegan burgers on the market I can't imagine why the restaurant picked this one, if it wasn't going to make it's own. Horribly processed tasting with an unpleasant flavour and dreadfully artificial tasting. Onion rings greasy with oil and a miniscule strip of red onion, disappointing. Table was wobbly. Pointed this out to waitress who left three napkins on the table; apparently it was my job to fix this problem 🤷 Should have guessed food standard by the fact that the restaurant was entirely DEAD despite it being after 6pm. I won't return, save your money and go elsewhere! Serving such poor quality food is unacceptable especially given it's pricing. Staff removed the service charge but didn't seem surprised when I fed back how poor the food was.

Ducie street is many things to many people - cafe, bar, cinema, restaurant, DJ’s , cocktail bar, cookie shop, work hub…. All round bloody brilliant!!! Ate and drank many times in this unique super stylish spot located a hop skip and a jump to Piccadilly train station and tons of car parking and one of the reasons I met my buddy here for a cappu and a catch up. This place is always buzzing with interesting people, brunching, lunching, working, dancing and laughing. The menu is easy crowd pleasing items that work well with booze and socialising - we ate super basic so cannot really comment but what we ate hit the spot! Very nice coffee and lovely attentive team. I was really impressed with the quality of the food, I had a delicious margarita whilst my friends enjoyed their burgers! I highly recommend the kiwi kiss cocktail!!! The staff were lovely and accommodating and the atmosphere was comforting. I do recommend checking their social media’s before visiting as we were able to get 25% off our food!

Good position, high quality food, with a great variety of meals to accommodate all dietary needs. Great tasty and delicious dishes at a fair sustainable price. Wine and drinks menu with several options, including soft and alcohol free drinks. Kind and professional personnel, capable of making you feel welcome and cared about with also suggestions and guidance in exploring the menu. The owner and his staff make the difference, as you can feel their passion, their vibes and their attention in they taking care of all customers. Highly recommended!

The venue itself was lovely, it really had a proper Lebanese feel, with lots of attention to detail and thought put into the design of the restaurant. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, which was delicious, filling, and full of flavour. My partner had the meze platter for one, which she really enjoyed, and we shared the batata harra, these were especially good. The bill came to around £45, but there was an automatic service charge of about 12.5% added. While the staff were friendly, I don’t feel the charge was justified. Service was quite slow even though the restaurant wasn’t busy – from taking our order, to bringing the bill, to forgetting our water. It was also difficult to get a waiter’s attention, which was frustrating. On top of that, they didn’t accept cash, which was a little inconvenient. That said, the food was genuinely tasty, and I’d definitely come back again to try more from the menu. It’s just a shame that the service let down what was otherwise a really nice experience.

I had hours to kill for my flight so looked for a Lebanese restaurant in Manchester as I love this cuisine. The food was amazing! Fresh, high quality and cooked with care. The service was also excellent. Asking about allergies, explaining all the items on my mezze and just really attentive. The waitress Dwhani was so professional. I will Definitely be back next time I’m in Manchester and have recommended it to all my friends there.

It was a lovely dinner here at Comptoir. Staff were friendly. Quick service, attractive ambiance but a little bit congested. However, overall it was a lovely experience Outside sitting is A+ Very relaxing and calming experience we got. But it’s way too expansive. We spend 60£ for dinner of 2 persons. Absolutely fabulous food just pity about the very slow service, we had to keep asking for; drinks, to take our order, water & the bill. Good selection of vegetarian dishes id definitely recommend the Mezze Platter for 2, £28.50 (all vegetarian), we shared it between 3 of us and there was plenty, i just wish that I'd ordered this for myself without the main course. I ordered the halloumi wrap platter £12.95 which was very nice but too much with the mezze platter starter as well. My friends had the grilled lamb kofta, £18.50 which came with rice, and the pan roasted Salmon £20.50 which was on a bed of chickpeas and tomato's, both said that they were very nice. We also ordered a jug of red sangria, £25.95, which was very morish and didn't taste any different from the Spanish sangria. Plus a bowl of fries with garlic dip £4.95.

The food was gorgeous and the atmosphere was very relaxed, we LOVED all the attention to detail in the decor too, kept us very occupied whilst we waited for food ☺️

Great food. Nice atmosphere. Long wait time to get seated, have the order taken, then delivered and paid for. Be ready to wait 15 min to get in , another 10-15 min for your order to be taken and sometimes up to 30 min to get your order to your table. Definitely not recommended in when you’re in rush or in peak hours. Else food, coffee, smoothies are very good.

Popped in for breakfast with elderly Mum whilst in Manchester. Busy, relaxed cafe suitable for all ages and abilities, a bit posher than your usual greasy spoon. Expect to queue, but it moves fast. Food scrumptious, plus vegan friendly eats available. Walls adorned with pictures of Manchester and Oasis. Cheap as chips.

The dream brunch! Cafe is located very conveniently in 2min walk from a bus station. The stuff is very welcoming and friendly. We had to switch a table due to the breeze from the ac, no problem at all. The menu is as rich as it’s flexible – you can shape and tune your meal with dozens of options available. We had one veggie breakfast and sweetcorn fritters, both plates had added hash browns; and chai latte to warm up. Words are simply not enough – it was fantastic: the symphony of flavours, no part of the meal was too loud, the size of the portion is more than generous. Add a clean and comfortable toilet to that experience and you get a fantastic restaurant. 10/10 for the staff’s care, food, and atmosphere.

One of the best brunch spots in Manchester 10/10! I visited Café North with my sister and we were honestly blown away. The food was absolutely delicious we ordered the Traditional English Breakfast, fluffy pancakes, and French toast with toppings (SO good 😍). The portion sizes were generous, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour. We also had their summer fruits with fresh apple & ginger juice and a rich hot chocolate — both were perfect and super refreshing. The drinks alone made the visit worth it! The café itself is really cute and cosy, with an aesthetic interior and a lovely view of Manchester city centre from the window seating. It’s the perfect spot for a chill brunch date, catch-up with friends, or even a solo treat-yourself moment. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. You can tell they care about the experience as much as the food. Highly recommend if you’re in Manchester and looking for a brunch spot that delivers both on taste and vibes. Came here for breakfast- Had the eggs benedict, really yummy, the bacon was nice and crispy! Also some iced coffee and that was lovely too, great atmosphere really relaxed. When I am visiting the city again will definitely keep this place in mind.

Had the big breakfast with a large latte. Thoroughly enjoyed it all, will definitely be back when returning to Manchester City Centre. All staff were accommodating for our group of 6 and the service was super quick.

Had a wonderful experience at Juniper! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service truly made the evening special. I popped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning after a recommendation. Staff were super friendly and i was offered a coffee as i was sitting down. I had a coffee, smoothie and egg Florentine, which was delicious!

Great welcome to Juniper. I heard so many positive reviews about it, so I decided to give it a go. We were welcomed with a smile from the entrance. Before we sat down, we inquired about gluten-free options due to dietary requirements. We were assured that there is a nice selection and the food will be made separately. We sat down near the garden seating, with a view through the big windows but near the heaters, as it was quite windy today. Both of us loved the harmonica menu and the varied breakfast and lunch dishes. However, it was the shredded crispy duck in ginger salad that bought us. When ordering, the staff explained the ingredients and how the food will be prepared to ensure that no gluten will be within the dish. For drinks, I had a Red Sea Sunrise mocktail, while my friend took a soda water. The duck was simply amazing, the dish was filling, and the mocktail was so refreshing. We enjoyed our meal in a lovely atmosphere of jazzy music and had a great catch-up.

Juniper is a polished, dependable local café that’s easy to like—especially for a weekend brunch or casual meet-up. But if you’re expecting something innovative or exceptional for the price, it may fall a little short. In short: worth a visit, but manage expectations.

Juniper (Bramhall) never disappoints! The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the food is consistently hot, delicious, and inventive. The Sha-bang and mushroom toast with parma ham as an additional extra are must-tries—especially with one of their excellent cappuccinos.

Food was superb. The guy at the door was amazing as he helped us with our pram as it was locked at the front. The food and drinks too a while to come and we ordered a Coke Zero but it never came. Was lovely experience. I really admired the baby changing facilities with the complimentary bits.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and we had the most wonderful evening! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated immediately. For starters we had calamari, focaccia and olives - all were delicious! Our mains, the pizza and steak were equally yummy. The highlight of the evening for me was when the waiters brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. Thank you so much to all the staff- you were so friendly and professional, and you made my birthday very special. Grazie mille!

I have dined here on several previous occasions and always very much enjoyed doing so. On this occasion I attended a Dinner event held in the Private Dining Room hosted by the IWFS (The International Wine & Food Society). The three course bespoke menu, comprised delicious authentic rustic dishes, which were much enjoyed by our group. We were very well looked after by Christina, Navine & team! Nothing was too much trouble for them. Their customer facing skills are to be applauded!👏 I am very much looking forward to my next visit! 👌👍😋🙂

Me and couple of colleges went here for Lunch after busy day. Service, food and overall experience was brilliant. And have to mention Brilliant cocktails we had. Definitely will be back.

Friendly, professional and helpful staff. We came in one day for a glass of wine and prosecco. Mirko our bartender made us feel like family. Wonderful, personality and professional so much so, that we return the next day for Saturday brunch which was delicious. The staff is all Italian, and made us feel we were visiting family and friends in Italy. Grazie!!!

One of the best fillet steaks I've ever had. Medium rare melt-in-the-mouth deliciousness 🤤😋 Those 2 veggies tasted funny and I feel like they didn't belong on the plate, but other than that - perfection!

We came for a birthday meal and could not be happier with the whole experience. To start with, we had some amazing refreshments that set the standard. However, it was somehow topped with the delicious and surprisingly filling meal. Our host, Jennifer, was the best taking care of us from start until finish, ensuring we enjoyed every moment. We had brought a cake to celebrate and all of the staff came over to help sing happy birthday, even cutting up the cake. Overall the experience was a 10/10 and a special mention for Jennifer, the best in the entire establishment.

Not bad. Black pudding should be a regular item, not a side dish extra. And it was a thin sliver. Sausages were good. Egg yolks a bit too yellow, doubt they were free range. But overall a good price for the portion size.

Served by a pleasant person with a smile. Not sure why. On a deserted morning the food was awful. How you can screw up a sausage, egg and ketchup bap, I don't know? Note in the Photo. No egg, ketchup or really anything other than a miserable split sausage. The coffee wasn't worth mentioning either. Shame, as it is a nice bright location.

I would like to share some feedback that I hope will help improve both the service and the quality of the food, with full respect for your efforts. 1. There was a lot of shouting in the restaurant from someone (I am not sure if it was the chef or the owner), which affected the atmosphere. 2. When I asked for the Wi-Fi password, the waiter – a very young and clearly inexperienced staff member – took my phone and simply took a picture of the router where the password was written. 3. I ordered a dish with pepper, feta cheese, and mushrooms as shown on the menu, but instead I received pickled cucumber and even a green tomato stem (which is inedible), as can be seen in the photos. 4. The meal was served with the order slip still attached, and the fork and knife wrapped in a napkin were placed directly on the plate. There are many areas that could be improved, and I truly hope these comments can help enhance the overall experience in your restaurant.

Went in for a mid morning breakfast and I was served by a friendly lady. I ordered an omelette with chips and unfortunately it was not nice at all. The omelette tasted like plastic and the chips were too hard, although the seasoning on them was lovely. The only nice parts were the toast and cup of tea. I was the only customer when placing my order so food arrived within 10 minutes. However the place soon filled up but again, there didn't seem to be a big wait. Will not be returning. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Toilet inside. Takeout options Side note - I asked for some tap water and they wouldn't give me any. They said they do not give customers water due to cross contamination? Very strange

So this fella in the grey hoodie is the owner. We are sitting down, eating breakfast which was nice and staff are friendly and this guy comes in shouting at all staff at the top of his lungs in front of us and other paying customers. The way he speaks to his staff is awful and completely unprofessional whilst customers are around. Staff look terrified. Not a good place to work I’m guessing

Garbage. Used to be wonderful. Obviously changed hands. Had a special wrap. Honestly awful. No dressing on the salad. Processed chicken. Halloumi no taste. Coffees very poor as was the pumpkin chai. Avoid go somewhere better in my opinion

Terrible overall. My friend ordered the bacon and sausage bap that looked like it had been thrown together on his plate, bad presentation, bad service.. you have to go and get your drinks when the place more or less have no customers. As for the food, it was fairly bland, the toast was dry even though it seemed to have butter on it, the only thing that wasn't bland was the mushroom which seemed spicy/peppery and not in a good way. If you expect freshly made/real orange juice or any made cold drink with your meal, dont as it's bottled juice you get yourself and take to the counter. There were also smoothies on the menu, my friend ordered one and was told "we don't have smoothies" Won't return again.

Random visit while in the area. Came for about 3 o'clock so the mad rush had been and gone. Got a seat straight away after being greeted by the guy that seated up. Very polite. Food was fresh and good quality. Only down fall is our eyes are bigger than our belly's.

The food is really good and the value is great. Also the staff are so nice and welcoming and you can go back for veggies any time. Another thing is the atmosphere it’s really nice place and the music isn’t so loud but nice. Overall I come here every time I’m in the area and it’s always great and the best carvery in England.

Just AWFUL. The food is greasy, dry and old. It is expensive for what it is and didnt include drinks, pastries or cereal.. We only went because the Beefeater, a couple of miles away, were unable to serve breakfast today and I honestly wish we hadn't bothered! Beefeater £21 for two adults and 3 children. (children eat free). That includes cereal, drinks, pastries and fresh breakfast ordered and delivered to your table and is all you can eat. The place is cleaner and has a nice atmosphere. We just paid £53 for two adults and three children. Self serve a limited and poorly presented cooked breakfast, no pastries and an extra cost for cereal and also extra cost for drinks. Shame on you Toby!

Wanted a while to be seated which wouldn't be a issue if the place wasn't completely dead, 1 staff walking round looking and just ignoring us, after waiting around 10 minutes we was finally seated, then waited a further 20 before going to the bar to order food as nobody come back. All the food is dry and hard from sitting out and does not even taste good

What really made the visit stand out was the service. Molly was absolutely brilliant friendly, professional, and really attentive without being intrusive. She made us feel welcome and taken care of from start to finish. A real credit to the team, a lovely girl! We’ll definitely be back soon!

The sausages were burnt and dry, wasn’t much on the deck and no staff could be seen Waited at the bar for a good five to ten mins to get served as no one was to be seen. Little disappointed in the food tbh. For an all you can eat breakfast and the price I guess you can’t expect everything

Drove an hour from the city to get here. Arrived at 8pm on a Wednesday night to be told they had no meat left? Don't expect to be served if you haven't booked. Response to reply: You can't expect people to check your socials before going.

I visited Laco Café & Bistro on 7//8/25 whilst waiting for car to be fixed. I ordered the Full English with a still water and a coffee. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff friendly and attentive and the place was very clean. The food was well prepared and presented and was delicious. I was asked once how it was - just the right level of contact from staff. They accommodated larger parties arriving, moving tables, etc and everyone was happy. This is a lovely spot, highly recommended, I will definitely go back when I'm next killing time in Stockport. Thanks girls, see you again.

I love this place's food It's spot on very tasty and good portion sizes. It can be a bit of a wait sometimes as it is busy and only 1 cook but its well worth the wait. The chef seems to genuinely care about the food and presentation. so if you've got the time to just sit and relax over great Coffee and superb food you will love it

My mum and I had breakfast here outside in the little terrace. She had left of the sugar bags in her food. She ate a bit of it without realising , she chocked with it and had to spit it out. Then she saw more on her plate. We let a waiter know what happened and she said that we will not be charged for it. The food was good but the service was terrible. When we spoke to the manager, she asked us about it and said she will charge £4.95 for that specific dish instead of the full amount. She makes us a discount when we were told would not be charged for it at all and it seemed as if she didn’t believe what we were saying. She never apologised during our conversation and her whole attitude was inappropriate, no apologies and wanting to say that her kitchen is super clean and we can see it if we want. We will never come back. If anything happens they will not act accordingly.

It’s just such a sub par restaurant, looks very nice from the outside but very shabby on the inside. All the leather chairs are heavily peeling. Does not feel comfortable. The food was just so mediocre it encroached on being properly bad. The full English is over priced like crazy for what they were offering. The eggs used were so yellow it was off putting. I will say the French toast was nice but the slices look like they were on a diet. The drinks we ordered came out lukewarm at best and was cold before we finish the food aswell. I will add the servers did seem lovely and were quite helpful however it is quite odd we had to leave our table and go to the till to order our food?

Such a lovely place with great food and hot drinks. I had to try the ‘chai latte’ and it was delicious! Ended up coming back in the afternoon for another one! The cheese sandwich with Cajun chicken hit the spot. Would recommend to all. The staff are very friendly and accommodating

The best full English I’ve ever had. Not many halal spots that do 10/10 breakfast, but this is definitely up there. I would have taken a pic but I was so in awe that I only remembered after I finished. What beautiful waitresses and service

Excellent food! The food here is delicious, with very generous portion sizes as well as reasonable prices. The indoor seating is very spacious and the staff are very accommodating. I have visited twice here so far, and both were pleasant visits. The only downside the second time around was the wait time in queuing just to order; which was around 20 minutes… even though the place was empty. Food is definitely recommended. But service waiting times could be improved.

I was casually browsing around Manchester for a locally owned café and I come across this beautiful place, coffee is amazing and staff were so polite 🥰 Atmosphere is relaxing. If I ever return to Manchester this is my go to coffee spot! Highly recommend! 👍🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The building has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and polite throughout mine and my friend's visit. The food is pricey, with our total bill for 2 meals, 2 desserts, and 2 drinks coming to just over £80 (inc. service fee) but the price is reflected in the quality. The mains were ordered were the salmon feta bagel, and the steak frittes, and for dessert we got both a slice of the honey cake and cheesecake. All the food was wonderful, and the crisp apple draught cider was genuinely the nicest cider I've ever had, and cider is my go-to for a drink with a meal. Wonderful experience overall. My only complaint would be having the 12.5% tip being put on the bill by default, as tips shouldn't be an expectation but rather a courtesy to show valued service. I intended on tipping but having it as a default isn't a practice I like, especially when anxious people won't be willing to confront or question it. Would definitely come again

We wanted breakfast and whilst the selection was average one of use could sub some of items so end up wasting food. Seating was shocking but since we were in they have redone boths. Service was average

Looked at the menu online before heading here. Was then puzzled at the menu given to us which had little resemblance to online. Still found something to eat. Rola cola on tap and cheap juice. Very sticky flooring everywhere. Food came and wife discovered a hair just as waitress was passing. They asked "omg have you just found a hair?" Followed by a not so reassuring "Im so sorry but nobody in the kitchen has hair". Nothing else mentioned. Oh and the automatically add a 12.5% service charge and whilst i gave the same waitress the chance to recall we discovered a hair, they had seemingly forgotten it and i just pointed it out on our table again as a parting gift. Very hipster attitude and not good customer service at all

Came for drinks on a Friday night. After seeing the dj vaping behind the console I thought it’s okay to vape inside and so I did (once)- 2 seconds later the security guy (that stood next to the dj the whole night) came running over and said I can’t vape- fair enough. I said okay and explained to him why I thought it’s fine & it’s a simple mistake, after what he just said “if you vape I will kick you out” in a very rude manner and was staring the whole night to make sure I’m not vaping lmao security needs to sort their anger issues, it could have been handled politely :) Over all just an average pub so spare yourself being uncomfortable because of intense and rude security running after people

Loved it!! Just went here on a whim before a day of study and really set us up for the day! We were so excited about everything there was to offer, and had a delicious sausage and egg barm which fueled us up for the day. The loaves looked so so delicious and we will definitely be coming back here again to buy one!!

Food is really over priced and staff that served me was rude & short with me. This is my first time and was really looking forward to the visit but it wasn't worth the hype. The almond croissant I had was average, not even better than what you get from Aldi/Lidl bakery, so not sure why they would charge 4.99 for a tiny flat white & almond croissant. I expected a better quality & overall experience. I love the seating outside though, that's what I mainly came for!

Barbakan is a brilliant local artisan continental bakery, where you can by traditional bakery goods with a twist. It specialises in baked goods and deli products of great quality. Unlike a lot of artisan bakeries around, value for money is high. I regularly get the carrot cake, Polish Twix (highly recommend) and their fresh baked bagels (for a make-at-home delight) Their lunch menu is comprehensive, with a range of hot toasted sandwiches (I recommend the Mediterranean sizzler), other hot food and a deli section with interesting cheeses and meats. On Saturdays they have a German bbq outside, in their outdoor seating area which is wheelchair accessible. In addition to the bakery and hot food kitchen, Barbakan sells a range of artisan cooking ingredients and treats for at home (think condiments, spices, oils, garnishes galore) I will add, at busy times the hot sandwiches often sell out, and they periodically close their kitchen to change over staff just outside of peak times (which is often when I go- so I’ve been disappointed a couple of times!) All around highly recommended for a bakery snack or a great value lunch.

People travel miles to come here me from Yorkshire (I'm on a nostalgia fest, I used to come here in the 1950's through 1970's when I lived locally). Polish and Italian food and drinks, I note there is now an outside seating area for hot drinks and eats, plus a BBQ area. I bought a selection of Salads; Nutty Ham and Polish Sausage for friends (I'm a veggie) and Poppy Seed Cakes to take back with me, all yum (carnie friends loved the meat). Accessibility: Ramp to the right, then level. Car Parking: On street, however, there are extensive road works for installing cycle lanes. I was however able to park on a side street. Bus: Chorlton Library stop very close. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. The store was quite busy, but I did not have to wait too long to be served! Definitely worth a visit!

Normally a decent experience here. Just been in in the middle of the day and the kitchen is closed for a bit so no sizzlers. OK, fair enough. No sandwiches either. 🤨 I ask the staff to make me a sandwich and they proceed to get a loaf and put it in a bag, measure out coleslaw into a tub (£1.99) etc etc. telling me they have no way to charge me for a cheese and coleslaw sandwich unless I make it myself. Is this a weird dream? Am I still normal if I expect staff in a deli to be able to make me a simple sandwich? 🤔 It’s not the fault of the staff although the vibe in here does seem to have dipped recently. They just don’t have the autonomy to do simple things, clearly. I gave up in the end and went to Tesco. How depressing. What are visitors from NYC gonna think!? Come on Barbakan, giz a butty already! 😫

This is essentially a bakery with a large covered seating area outside it also serves a range of delicatessen foods cook meats, freshly baked bread and the fantastic selection of pastries crisis I now believe our little on the High side however the coffee and cake offer for £5 is unbeatable. The coffee is fantastic. The cakes are wonderful and outside most of the day there is a stand selling grilled sausages and meats. However for me this is at the High end of pricey for a sausage in a bun at between seven and £9. The view from the Terrace is less than inspiring dirty street glitter Park cars and derelict buildings

Always a nice place to stop by. While the service can sometimes feel a little indifferent, there are also friendly staff who make the experience enjoyable. The pastries, bread, and sandwiches are consistently good, and the Saturday outdoor stall is a great bonus.

One of the last bastions of proper "Caffs" Warm atmosphere and welcomed when entered, plenty of space to choose from. Extremely good prices at just £10 for a big breakfast and a mug (A MUG!?!! A relic of a better time) of tea. Don't get me wrong - I love my Avo on toast like every other millennial, but this is good, simple food done properly. Nice portion size without feeling wasteful and really tasty. Loads of other more economical items on the menu for varied tastes too. Fast cooking - you can see into the kitchen and it was regimented and worked like a well oiled machine. When my travels take me back to Manc of course im going to make a beeline here. 10/10

Had a lovely breakfast here, absolutely stuffed, reasonably priced too. Loved the Corrie legends decor in the place, and food came quick. Special shout-out to Lisa who served us, lovely lady and made us feel very welcome

I wish we had this on our doorstep. This bakery/cafe is just awesome. The food looks and was outstanding. Service was super friendly and helpful. It wasn't cheap but the food was high quality and it was such a lovely atmosphere and experience. Highly recommend.

Took my mum and grandparents here after seeing a few TikTok videos about the place. The food was very lovely, big portion sizes and some unique food combinations. Definitely lots of new things to try there. The coffee and cakes were also very nice. Only thing I would say is it is a bit overpriced. Obviously we knew what we were ordering and the prices but it was still quite costly for the four of us. We had two starters, three mains with two sides, four hot drinks and four small desserts and it came to £100.

Visited today for lunch. Me and husband both had the steak and eggs and both really enjoyed it. Great portion sizes and tasted so good! Kids had scrambled eggs on toast and ate every bit followed by mint choc chip ice creams. Friendly staff. Fab food. Will defo be back Perfect Sunday

Absolutely perfect eggs, potato cakes, 🥑 in my deliciously huge Half Herbivore breakfast with double eggs 🍳 Attentive, efficient and polite staff made us oh so welcome and checked every step of our meal met our high expectation. I hope we return again and again and again!!!

I recently visited this café and left feeling completely ripped off. I spent £23 on a full English breakfast and a sausage sandwich (served on thick white bread). For that price, I was expecting a hearty, satisfying meal. What I got instead was one of the most disappointing breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The full English was borderline inedible. The beans were so unappetising I couldn’t even eat them, and the whole plate just tasted “off” — nothing felt fresh or enjoyable. The sausage sandwich was equally poor: just two sausages thrown onto thick white bread, with no effort or flavour to redeem it. The only remotely decent part of the meal was the sausages themselves, but let’s be real — £23 for two sausages is daylight robbery.

I had the loveliest time at Firehouse Manchester, and Caitlin absolutely made the evening. She’s warm, attentive, and has this effortless way of making you feel at home even in a buzzing, lively space. Every little detail from her thoughtful recommendations to her genuine smile turned dinner into such a memorable experience. It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and personal, but Caitlin has that balance down perfectly. If you’re heading to Firehouse, I truly hope you get Caitlin looking after you—she’s a star. ✨

Lovely place, really nice vibe. Something a bit different. Lovely open stoves. Roast was delicious. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese for the table too and it came out a good tens minutes after everything else. I had chicken (loved it) , everyone else had beef and raved about it. Most importantly, it is dog friendly!

What a great place. Allows for indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors were on comfortable seating, with a good vibe from the staff and music. Our welcome, waiter and serving staff were all really friendly and helpful - explaining menus and food when delivered. We had lots, probably too much as with “small plates” places but was worth it for a graduation celebration. I have put photos on of some of our dishes. Some of us had items off a special Wednesday evening menu, along with good quality drinks and superb Margaritas

This place is amazing. Great value for money. Food is really great and our server Jess made the evening. She is so lovely. Came as part of a hen do and she made the experience so good.

Was recommended to come for dinner by a friend, and was so pleased we decided to come! Highlights were the Parmesan covered potatoes, padron peppers, green bean salad, and the chicken. The chicken breast was so juicy, and had perfectly crispy skin. The lemony aioli dip with the padron peppers was unreal. It was also great to see a vinho verde on the menu, which was half price on Thursdays! Looking forward to coming back in the future.

I’ve stayed at many hotels in Manchester for work and Malmaison delivers the best service and food for a very reasonable price. The staff are lovely, hard working and friendly. The food was well prepared, really tasty with generous portions. Big shout out to Colleen and all the other staff. I will aim to stay again.

Wow! This was one of the best meals I've had in Manchester for quite some time. Thank you to the wonderful staff who were excellent and so welcoming throughout. Great atmosphere, decor and vibe, too. My highest recommendation has to be the fillet steak which was cooked to absolute perfection and served with seasoned crisp fries, salad and a beautiful garlic butter sauce. I'll be back just to taste this again! Desserts were fantastic and very generous portions. Wines were also delightful and crisp. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for a dinner with friends, colleagues or date night. Can't wait to return!

Terrible food. Not great food and nothing special. Would not go back. Staff are nice. But foods is not good for the price as it’s expensive.

Food was ok and service ok but what was very annoying is you get 2 service charges on the bill one for food & one for drink so beware. Had I spotted this, I’d have asked for one to be removed, £8.75 to bring 2 bottles of wine to the table, sorry but a rip off!!

So many staff in city centre restaurants nowadays give off "I'd rather be somewhere else" vibes and there seems to be a low bar for service generally, but this was a long way beyond that, just incompetent. In an almost empty restaurant nobody was really doing their job properly and nobody seemed to care. Would not come back or recommend.

Great interior design, immaculate and every staffs are incredibly amazing and welcoming. Fabulous Bar and Grill, food and drinks was perfect and delicious. The staffs were exceptional and genuinely took time to help especially Chloe is very attentive. Overall service was brilliant. Well done to the whole team.

My first time purchasing a halal sunday roast. The food was very nice. For me the chicken was slightly in the dry side. I would definitely return and also have the chicken again. Well after I try the other offerings.

We were staying at travelodge central and was bored of the usual breakfast there so decided to go for a walk and so happened passed by this cafe. What a gem! Friendly staff quick service. Good atmosphere. Really enjoyed breakfast. the royale smoked salmon paoched eggs on sourdough with avo salad drizzle of spicy mayo plus the homemade creamy sauce that came with it (served in tiny cup) tasty on my palate. Highly recommended. Will visit again when I’m in Manchester.

Wanted to try something new for a change so I opted for a Sunday roast. Having come across Essy on social media, I felt it best to visit and try it out for myself. The Sunday roast chicken was very nice and didn’t disappoint whatsoever. The chicken panini was good and the French toast I felt could’ve been a lot better (tasted quite eggy and could’ve used proper brioche roll). On a overall, the food and service was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

So I have a breakfast here every week. Perfect. Get a Sunday dinner delivered every Sunday. The food is perfect. The delivery of the food is consistently terrible it just comes as an absolute mess pretty much every week. The gravy tubs are empty and the contents spilled all over the bag. The paper tray had come open yet again this week and I had to scoop my dinner out of a soggy plastic bag. I guarantee it didn’t leave the shop in that condition and I believe they complain about it to just eat / uber eats. But maybe it’s time to rethink the packaging to stand up to the rigours of travelling across Manchester on the back of a bicycle because it’s not on receiving your dinner that you’ve spent 40-60 a week on.

Had a wonderful experience this morning. Ruby welcomed me with a smile and suggested an addition to my order which was phenomenal. Carlos brought my full order to my table and made sure I had everything I needed. Catherine bused the dishes from my table when I was finished and ensured I was satisfied with everything. I had a lovely conversation with all three of them after I was finished and left feeling very thankful this was the coffee shop I chose while I was in town for a day. Myself and my family stopped off at your Cross Street venue in Manchester. We had a lovely warm welcome at the front door and Ruby helped us find a seat that would allow us to sit as a family with a pram. We ordered coffee and decided to have Brunch, I must say the food was amazing so compliments to the chef. Our coffee was served by Catherine and I loved the attention to detail with the milk art, we all was amazed, the blend of coffee was the best I've had. All the staff made us feel welcome and included our Son in the conversation. We will definitely be back and will recommend to all our friends.

Come for the bagels. The bagels are to die for. The bagels are insane… Atmosphere is chill cafe style, and the choice of bagels is ace. Coffee is nice but not very hot. Price wise a bit expensive £10 for one bagel but they’re worth it for the taste! Chicken club and chopped chicken are the best for me, so fresh and yum. Have the hash browns as well 🫠. Gotta come here ‼️😁

Decent coffee shop. Always consistently good coffee here. Friendly staff. Decent atmosphere (aside from the uncomfortable furniture). But the best part is the coffee art funnily enough.

I really want to thank the barista who went out of her way to make my V60 today! She wasn’t even supposed to be working at the time, but when she found out that we came to the café just to try their V60, she kindly prepared it for us anyway. That level of dedication and kindness truly made our visit special. The coffee was excellent, but her gesture made it unforgettable. Thank you for the great service and genuine hospitality!

A few of us went for breakfast, it was a really nice cafe, nice atmosphere, the staff were really friendly, and the food was really nice with decent portion sizes, definitely worth a visit if you fancy a decent breakfast.

Tiramisu French toast is amazing and love that they offer and alcohol free version too! We also had the haddock sandwich which was lovely and fresh, and the fries were perfect too (just a very small portion is the only criticism). Really good vibes and decor and a nice place to relax, read, catch up etc.

I had a great experience! I’m so glad I got the chance to visit Haunt. The people there were incredibly kind and welcoming. I wasn’t sure what to order, so I asked for a recommendation—and since it was a hot day, they suggested an iced coffee. It turned out to be the best one I’ve ever had. Absolutely worth it!

Lovely cafe/bar right in the heart of Manchester, offering some lovely views. A good place to come and relax during the day, if you want to study, read a book or just people watch. Drinks replacing coffee by the evening. The place gets more bustling and boisterous with people coming in from the end of their shifts. Filling the place up with laughter and merriness. Serving just as well a bar as a cafe, offering a great atmosphere for both.

I have very mixed opinions on this place. I saw it on TikTok, and as an online university student I like to try out different places. However this was one I probably wouldn’t go to again. I can understand how wealthier people who live in the city or as a student would go here. But for myself, it was very pricey, and as a person who likes a good range of breakfast and lunch options this doesn’t really cut it. I have been to other places too where they will sell a very small amount of options for breakfast, the only sorts of things they serves were things like granola, eggs Benedict, fish, avocado etc. And as someone with sensory food issues, and cannot eat granola, eggs, fish or avocado there was barely anything on this menu for me. I had to get the poached egg taken off, which I’m not upset about because no matter where I go I end up taking something off my plate 😂 however I am okay with hollandaise sauce but it was completely drenched in it. And I could barely see the bacon or the English muffin lol. The hot chocolate was made from chocolate buttons (which I can understand as someone who worked in hospitality) however it was very bitter and had a very strong taste of dark chocolate. For a small portion of eggs Benedict ( without the egg 😂) and a regular hot chocolate, this cost me £17!! I think if you are to go here, you have to have a lot of money 😂 and also an acquired taste. The vibe was aesthetically pleasing however it was just too expensive and has little options for people like myself. But credit to whoever did the art on my hot chocolate because I could never get mine this good! 😂 👏🏼

Eggs royale were reallyyy nice and the banana pudding pot thing was super cute and had a very nice blend of coffee and banana flavor. The service was also quite fast even on a weekend. i really want to try the tiramisu toast next time. super cute loved it for brunch 😚

Went in for a cocktail before dinner and I enjoyed what they had on offer. I tried a spicy margarita-type of cocktail and for once it was actually spicy, which was nice. It's worth a visit.

Was excited to try this new place but was sadly disappointed. Ordered the wild mushroom risotto, tempura oyster mushroom, Manchester scotch egg and fries. Scotch eggs were overcooked till the yolk was rubbery and was given Portobello mushrooms instead of oyster mushrooms without informing us till I flagged it to the waitress. The place was nice, just sad that the food did not live up to the place :/

It’s 50% off month! The website had no menu to browse so this was a bit of a gamble, but we got varied and exciting tapas. From about 18 or so dishes, you can see the 5 I picked in my pic: mackerel pate, truffle fries, a scotch egg of some variety, breaded mushrooms in a slightly spicy sauce and butternut squash. This selection involved a lot of eating- I think I’d recommend 4 per person! We experienced kindly service.

We visited with the 50% off in the beginning of Jan 2025 and would not pay full price for this. Food was not of great quality, we had the Manchester egg and lamb croquettes, both were ok and both of us had the fig stuffed chicken with truffle fries. The chicken was pre-boiled rather than pan fried and had a awful smell and taste to it. The was not much stuffing to it either. Would not recommend. We were asked to sit in a little 'bar area' and were handed a menu that was slightly different to the one online. We were not called to go to the restaurant side, i had to chase the barman and waitresses around to get a proper seating in the restaurant side.

Really great food, they offer a great selection of bakery goods, and in all honesty the prices are very reasonable. Great coffee & amazing staff members. If your friends or family are visiting Manchester consider taking them here on a bright day for a breakfast walk stop. You won’t regret it!

Today, I had an disappointing experience at the Old Fire Station. Over the past year, while living and studying in Salford, I visited the Old Fire Station very frequently. The coffee was rich and aromatic, the sandwiches, pastries, and sourdough bread were consistently delicious, and the staff were always kind and welcoming—it felt like a little gift in my daily life. As usual, I went to the Old Fire Station today. The rain was pouring, and the wind whipped my hair into a mess, but I didn’t mind. My heart was filled with anticipation, the familiar excitement of receiving my “gift.” But the experience I had today was unlike any other. Since the café would be closing for the Christmas holidays, I wanted to buy a few, about ten pastries. In the display case, the golden-brown pastries seemed to beckon to me, as if they had been waiting for this moment. After placing my order, I asked the staff if I could have the pastries from the display case. Instead, she reached behind the counter and picked them from the cooling rack. “They’re the same,” she said loudly. I commented that the pastries in the display case seemed better, but she didn’t respond. Instead of addressing my comment, she only asked me to confirm the number of pastries I’d ordered. When I finally received them, the pastries looked slightly smaller and a bit overbaked. I felt rather disappointed. They might indeed be the same. Maybe it was just my eyes playing tricks on me, or perhaps it was my heart clinging to the idea of those particular pastries. My disappointment, I realized, was entirely my own. Still, as I walked home for nearly thirty minutes through the wind and rain, I couldn’t shake the feeling. What if my English was better? What if I weren’t a person of colour? As a foreigner living in England, I’ve felt this way before. Perhaps it’s just my insecurities, my own complexes casting shadows where there are none. I’ll still return to this café for pastries, but I fear I may never feel the same joy I once did.

Stopped by today and joined a queue of about eight people. After more than 15 minutes, only one person had been served and four others left — I ended up leaving as well. There seemed to be plenty of staff on, but most weren’t actually serving and didn’t appear concerned about the growing queue. It’s a shame, because the place looks great inside and there were lots of pastries on display. I can’t comment on the food or drinks as I didn’t get that far, but the service really needs to improve.

Read the reviews and thought this place looks great. How wrong can you be? When we entered the building we were completely ignored by the 3 staff behind the counter who were more interested in chatting to each other. Had to speak up to get attention and eventually be shown where the menus are. Informed there was no French toast on the menu, it's advertised as a speciality, so we didn't hold out much hope for the rest of the menu. Quite a small selection compared to what I've read about in the reviews and we struggled to find anything of interest. Overall quite disappointing and we ended up walking out. Shame really because the set up is something I would really like to promote / support but after this visit I find it highly unlikely we will be returning or recommending. Feel like the counter staff need urgently retraining in customer service if it is to continue getting the good reviews that lured us to give it a try. Ended up going across the road to the museum cafe where we got a far friendlier welcome. It also has the bonus of being a great place to visit and any profit made is used toward the museums upkeep. Also find it strange that they never respond to any of their bad reviews it's almost as if they believe it must be the customers fault.

If I could give a zero I would. We thought we would treat ourselves to a nice lunch - drove 30 mins. Arrived at 1.20pm took about 10 minutes (and £5) to park. Headed in and were told sorry we are shutting early as we have no bakers (quite rudely too). There are no posts on any social media platform to indicate this early closure. Extremely disappointed.

I went on a Saturday, the place wasn’t too busy. Was greeted by a lady who just looked like she wanted to go home. I chose to go to this place based on the pictures from the review section. However, nothing was the same for myself. The mugs they gave us our mocha in were awful, they were dirty/chipped (however, everyone else around us had the lovely green mugs and plates under), we had to watch our lips incase we caught it on the mug. When asked for an extra chocolatey mocha, the lady pulled a face and replied “okay” shaking her head. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, purely based on my experience and definitely wouldn’t be going back again.

Very tasty, dog friendly, outside seating as well as in house and plenty of it. Pricing was very reasonable. Would definitely go back! I had the French toast with maple and bacon, my partner had the chickpea salad. We had the cinnamon cake and the starter of toast with oil and balsamic vinegar...all lovely.

At least two of my friends have recommended it, and finally got to try it… 👅 Taste: 6/10 We tried two dishes and the portions were HUGE - we even had to take the leftover dessert to go. 😱 The Shakshuka (pics 5–7) was the staff’s recommendation, super creamy and absolutely delicious. The Turkish sausage added a spicy kick on top of the tomato and egg base, and the grilled bread with the sweet chili sauce was just perfect. For the French Toast (pic 2), we went with the Pistachio Baklava. Not only gorgeous to look at, but the mix of cold ice cream and warm bread created such a satisfying contrast. 🏠 Ambience: 7/10 The place isn’t very big, looks like there’s a second floor, but we didn’t go upstairs. Still, the decoration feels really cozy, and there are even some cute Polaroid photos of customers with the staff on display. 💗 🧑‍🍳 Service: 10/10 Every staff member was super friendly and attentive, always keeping the tables tidy. This time we were lucky to be served by Rachel, she was so warm and genuine, even reminding us that the portions were maybe quite large and suggesting we share just one main dish. Really appreciated her! 💛

We had a delightful experience at Bruncho Café. The place was absolutely buzzing and very busy, yet we were seated straight away. The menu was accessible via a QR code, and we were able to order and pay conveniently from the table. The food arrived promptly and was both unique and delicious. It’s a fully halal, vibrant spot in Manchester — busy, lively, and full of great energy. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come again. The matcha drinks were also excellent!

Bancho is fantastic! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I’ve been twice ,the pistachio French toast was amazing (8.9/10), and the chicken and waffles were just as good. I even got to try their new espresso on the house and delicious! We didn’t really love the matcha, but it was our first time trying it, so maybe it just wasn’t for us. Still, I can’t recommend this place enough!

Bruncho was the first place I went to straight after landing in the UK on an empty stomach, and honestly it was so worth it. I really loved the cozy decoration and cute tableware. Service was top notch, they served quality food and the portions were quite big. My stomach was definitely FULL. And that pistachio cake was an absolute DELIGHT ! One advice, if you see it on the menu, don't think. RUN to get it. You won't regret it. It was so great I had to come back the next day. When I came the two days on my own, there was no wait for a table and the food arrived in the blink of an eye. Also, from one barista to another, I just wanted to point out that Phoebe was so radiant and friendly that it made me want to come back. She managed to make me feel home away from home !

Great location with a wide variety of food. Portions are generous but quite rich and greasy, so not ideal for diets. Latte was okay, and the baked eggs with halloumi were tasty. Perfect if you enjoy hearty meals!

I came to Manchester to visit the university and had seen Atlas Bar online. I wanted to visit because it looked really cute but it completely surpassed my expectations. The bartender, Naomi, was extremely knowledgeable about gin. I believe she said Atlas carries around 580 different types of gin. My mom did not think she liked gin at all but Naomi helped her sample a few different ones until she found a couple that she really likes and wants to try at home now! Not only did Naomi offer a lot of information about gin, she also was very kind and friendly to us and told us about life in Manchester. We felt very taken care of by Naomi and Natalie who were both lovely and were lucky enough to have a seat on the back patio, which was very comfortable with the heaters despite the cold weather outside. We had a fantastic time and I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Manchester.

We are frequent visitors to Atlas Bar and every time we arrive we are greeted by very friendly staff and are always made to feel welcome. The food is delicious 😋. Naomi is fantastic and a credit to the bar, she always goes above and beyond . Would highly recommend. UPDATE: I visited here today with 12 other friends from work. I would like to thank Naomi and all the staff who always make my visit special. They are always extremely helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. The atmosphere is fantastic it has a lovely vibe and the food is simply gorgeous. Keep up the good work.

Edit to add: Atlas Bar's unprofessional and unaccountable response to my genuine review has cemented that I'll never go back. Very unfortunate. How are they supposed to see tone of voice and facial smirks from CCTV? They are family run, they know the person I'm complaining about so they instinctively take an opposition to me - and blame me for not raising issue with management. It shouldn't be on the customer to keep management appraised of problems. Had I wanted to raise an issue I could have done so directly with the individual I'm complaining about but I wasn't there to manage their bar. Instead of seeing this review as "damaging", to them, tunnel vision on their own ego, I wish they'd seen the negative experience being reported and made any attempt to put it right. Original review: Used to always love coming in here for a drink. Went in last night (Sunday 23/2/25) about 8pm and the blonde behind the bar was absolutely seething with rage. Either at me or at her own life and her own journey through this world who knows. Did my best British politeness with minimal interactions but she didn't warm up one ioata. Whiskey was good, food was great, just the atmosphere was brought down from the usual Atlas Bar experience and service would have been better from a robot. Overall just unfortunate.

Went for a midday brunch date with my boyfriend. We had the full English, eggs royale and oat iced lattes. Everything was spot on! They clearly use premium products such as the sausages and baked beans. The atmosphere was lovely, warm and inviting. We were served by Eliana and Ned who were both very helpful and engaging. We will definitely be back and looking forward to see what the place is like for drinks in the evening :)

As I sit here, wiping the final remnants of the most amazing breakfast from the corner of my mouth, I thought it worthy to put a review on for this wonderful place. A wonderful and convenient breakfast spot with a few locations across Manchester. You order at the register and then your food is brought to you. Service is expedient and the food is delicious and fresh. We ended up coming back here twice during our stay in Manchester and loved it each time. The traditional English breakfast was definitely a highlight! Coffee is great here as well and they have tons of other beverage options such as tea, smoothies, juices, etc. Would recommend for anyone staying in Manchester who is looking for a good but quick place to grab breakfast!

Quaint coffeeshop located near the mid land hotel. Serves up a mean brunch menu as well as decent coffee! Sourdough was tasty and eggs ben was cooked perfectly! Definitely worth a visit for brunch and breakfast!

We had the 'Nduja scrambled egg, e&g breakfast bowl, and the rhubarb ftench toast and two smoothies. The 'nduja scrambled eggs were delicious, the breakfast bowl was hearty and filling. They weren't these fancy impressive dishes, but they made us feel cosy and homely. The rhubarb french toast was divine. It was very well balanced, and all the flavours complimented each other so well. I was really impressed and surprised. The smoothies were ok. The atmosphere was nice. Our server was the sweetest. Prices were ok. I'll be stopping by next time I'm in Manchester, for sure.

Was a little disappointed- came here with my mom who has a walking stick. And waited around 35 minutes outside. She struggled but when we’ve had to do this before in Manchester the cafe has offered if she’d like a seat. When we got to our turn to come in the person seating us proceeded to try to take us up steps and sit us on a stall to which I informed them wasn’t really going to work, gesturing to my mom. They had seen us already and taken our name and let people in behind us in before us so I assumed we were waiting longer for a better table. The people say before us were sat on a regular table. The manager or I assumed who was the manager came over and saw us and asked the server to switch the people she’d sat just before us on the normal table to the high stools. And luckily they agreed. It’s order at the counter which is absolutely fine except we weren’t informed of how it worked having not been there before.. we were simply left too it. You can order the extras to make your own meal as you can do at some other cafes, this is also fine but something that should either be on the menu or informed, we also didn’t have any sugar or anything on our table and had to go searching for things. Not the best experience here and sadly whilst the food was okay, I do think there’s better places service and atmosphere wise within walking distance of here.

Coffee seems a bit overcooked. As a breakfast the size of it is very abundant. Pancake tastes good with maple syrup, blueberries and yogurt. But the sourdough is just fair. Would expect more for the restaurant with that price and waiting time Good that the staff offer us some orange juice while we wait

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant! Was so quiet when we went and we got to sit in a booth. Was so lovely in there, could’ve stayed for hours it was so cosy. The staff were so attentive from the second we arrived and made sure to check up on us without being too overbearing. And the food was amazing! So delicious and arrived so quick. Feel like it’s hard to find places that do unique dishes that are also healthy, but this place had it all. Has good options for lighter/healthier meals but also plenty of options for those wishing to indulge a bit more. New favourite spot!

Had an amazing brunch at Caravan Manchester! The chorizo and hash with eggs were absolutely delicious, and the Bloody Marys were on point! The service was top-notch - friendly and attentive. The surroundings were also great, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. Highly recommend!"

The restaurant is big, bright, and nicely set up, perfect for a large group gathering. The staff were warm, friendly, which was always good to see. The menu is nicely varied and the cocktails were good so it was a bright start. However, the food was a letdown for the price. For £24 (before service charge) I had the cod, which was quite bland, all the seasoning was on the skin, served with a small portion of sweet potato mash and a radish salad that felt more like an oversized garnish than a side, it already had lettuce, what was the need. It just didn’t come together, and for the cost, I expected much better quality and flavor. Other dishes looked just ok and again would not justify the price. I’d recommend it for drinks or a group night out, but if you’re going for the food, there are better options in the same price range. Not a must visit but if you’re in the area give it a go

Party of 9 on a Friday night. We were well accommodated and the service was great. Our waiter had some good recommendations and she helped us chose wine. Can't fault the service, but the food was average, bland, and unremarkable. Sound great on the menu, but the flavours weren't there. Tiramisu is one of my favourites, but lacked the punch of coffee and marsala wine. Just cream and sponge, mostly.

Such a nice place with a very friendly atmosphere. Lively enough to be fun but quiet enough to talk. Really enjoyed the food and all the staff were so friendly.

Went for brunch today, and from the moment you open the door, the staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel very welcome. Having sparkling tap water available was a lovely touch – more restaurants should offer this! 😊 We ordered a mocha and a cappuccino with oat milk, and both were absolutely delicious. For food, we chose the baked eggs and the chorizo and potato hash. Both dishes were fantastic, but if I had to pick a favourite, it would definitely be the chorizo and potato hash. The music was at a reasonable volume, the atmosphere was great, and the seats were very comfortable. I’d definitely come back here!

Three of us popped in after work - got seated straight away, and service was quick and genuinely friendly. We ordered the sharing platter and an extra portion of chips, and it was more than enough for the three of us. The wings were unreal - proper flavour-packed. Food was great value for the portion sizes and quality. Staff were spot on: welcoming, helpful, and on the ball. Will definitely be a regular whenever I’m nearby.

I’ve been waiting to try the food here for a while now and I was hoping it would live up to expectations. I was worried it would be a disappointment with it being a large chain. It was absolutely fantastic I got a burger and buffalo wings with a side of fries and onion rings. I will definitely be returning to try the unlimited wings! The staff and service provided was excellent! I would Definitely recommend.

We recently tried the Wings Wednesday deal here and it was a great experience. Properly good set of wings. We did not last the whole 90 minutes because they kept topping us up. Very friendly and attentive staff. Decent price for Manchester city centre.

I need to come to this place more often. After searching for a place to charge my phone which a lot of places have stopped doing which I don’t know why, I was recommended to this place. While they have gotten rid of the portable charging machines, they let me charge it behind the bar and the woman behind the bar herself really couldn’t have been more accommodating. She was infectious, I believe she might have been Aussie or NZ so if the management know who she is, please give her praise. The drinks are cheap for what you’re getting cause the quality is actually unbelievable and I’m talking about brew dogs own made spirits. I love the little kiosk thing to grab a beer to go, that’s really inventive. I will definitely have to stay at the hotel one day.

We went there for a quick bite for dinner. It’s offers several types of craft beers, tried the Lager - far from truth. Burgers were fine, nothing special though. Order is through an app, so card only payments. There was a live music when we got there, excessively loud and unpleasant experience. Our table was quite sticky, apparently not cleaned regularly. Don’t recommend it.

Food was nice and I could order from the table by scanning a barcode. I could have stayed there all night! Staff were nice and checked up on me to see if I was okay which was nice. Nice atmosphere. Didn't expect much with it being a chain but was pleasantly surprised. Will come again.

Early bird cocktails are out of a can not proper cocktails first of all. However they are nice and you get 2 for £10 on the happy hour which runs until 7pm midweek so the pros do outweigh the one con The rooftop terrace bar is also very scenic, spacious and cosy with an adjoining toilet so its a good experience I do recommend going midweek

Great açai place, plenty of toppings and options! Small seating area, gets busy. I would change the shape of the bowl as a lot of the toppings fall out. £9.95 for a 16oz bowl (large size)

Really good spot – the food and drinks were fresh and tasty, and we really enjoyed it. A little on the expensive side for what it is, but worth trying. We had 2 coffees, 1 acai bowl and 2 smoothies, all of which were lovely!

good acai but minor cons the acai itself is of good quality with well paired toppings but portion and pricing are not very favourable. seating is also very limited creating a less than desirable atmosphere - however if you can get a outside seat in summer the experience is worth the price :)

I am not usually interested in this type of café, but my daughter loves acai and insisted we visit. We tried the acai bowl and a healthy smoothie. The experience was nice. I do not regret going. The staff were friendly. The place was clean. The acai tasted good, cold and refreshing. The smoothie was delicious and tasty. This was my first visit, but it will not be my last.

Best matcha, best smoothies & best customer service. I stop here every morning for a matcha or smoothie and receive the best customer service from the guys every single time. I think the icening on the cake is that they even remember my order each and every time.

I got an açai bowl — it was amazing! The service was absolutely fantastic, especially from Precious, who was so bubbly and friendly. She really took the time to help me build my bowl, suggesting what to add and recommending things that would go well together. I’d never tried kiwi before, but she encouraged me to add it and I loved it! She truly made the experience special. Highly recommend both the food and the wonderful service!

Lovely clear menu with pics, really easy to see and choose from! Nice interior cute hipster vibe. Really good quality and tasty smoothies! Wish I’d had an açai bowl or sourdough as well! Didn’t have to wait too long for the drinks, and table was available also! Definitely will come back next time I’m in Manchester to try more!

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is in a great location—within walking distance to food, shopping, and public transportation. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. We stayed at the Treehouse Hotel in Manchester for just one night and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel was clean, and its interior design was both unique and very attractive، appealing to both children and adults. The rooms carry the same creative touch, making them feel special compared to standard hotel layouts. One of my favorite features in the room was the variety of USB ports conveniently placed on both sides of the bed as well as at the desk, perfect for charging multiple devices. The room also had snacks, a small fridge, and a water tap in the hallway, which was a nice added convenience. The shower and bathroom were clean and modern, with good water pressure, although I found the flush to be a bit too strong, causing water to splash. The downside was that the rooms are very small. It was difficult to keep luggage open without blocking walking space, which made moving around a bit tight. For a short stay it was manageable, but for a longer visit it could feel cramped. The hotel’s bar and restaurant area is beautifully designed and has a vibrant atmosphere. We enjoyed breakfast there, which was fresh, tasty, and had a good variety. The location is another plus, it’s only about a 15-minute walk to the main train terminal and within walking distance to several tourist attractions, restaurants, and shops. Absolutely loved our stay at the Treehouse Hotel Manchester in Blackfriars. The design is fun and full of personality, with plenty of playful details that make it feel unique. Our room was immaculate, comfortable, and had some lovely little extras that made a difference. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier—always smiling and happy to help. Location is brilliant for exploring the city centre, and the views from the room were fantastic. Great atmosphere, great service, and a really memorable place to stay. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay in this hotel. The hotel is in a brill location in Deansgate, close to The Cathedral & Shambles Square. The service we received in the hotel was very good. The room (studio suite) was the perfect size, decorated well and it was well laid out with everything you would need. All of the common areas, restaurant, bar & reception were all perfectly thought out and all furnished brilliantly. The gym was also well equipped. The breakfast was great quality & freshly cooked which was a nice change compared to usual buffet breakfasts in hotels. There is a rooftop restaurant/bar being open soon and I would definitely book in again once these are open as this should elevate the hotel to another level! After staying in a few hotels in Manchester over the years, this would definitely be my go to from here on in!

What an amazing place. The rooms were sp lovely and the service was great. Shame breakfast wasn't included in the price. Would recommend as loved the quirky atmosphere! It was our anniversary and they left a cake in the room and a welcome message which made it special!

The themed decor, which could have been “a bit much” is in good taste. The desk was willing and helpful when I needed them to mail something I left behind. The restaurant should NOT be missed: pay attention to the subtle flavors! This was the outstanding hotel of the trip.

tried the Chicken Katsu from their Between Bread menu—hands down, the best I’ve ever had! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of crunch. The balance of flavors was spot on, that brought everything together beautifully.

Nice local coffee and brunch spot with a sunny terrace. Treated myself to the Bhurji Eggs which was new on the menu and really tasty while enjoying the start of spring outside in the sun. Couldn't resist a huge berry muffin after either.

I went to this cafe for the first time yesterday. Food was so delicious, I will definitely be returning at some point soon! I’ve given 4 stars for service as I went with a friend who is vegetarian and the order was placed in wrong at the till so her order wasn’t vegetarian but the waitress apologised and went and changed the order straight away. Chefs could be a little more friendly too

Gorgeous large cups of coffee, the fluffiest pancakes. Friendly welcoming staff and they gave me extra berries to take home for my doggy bag, as I couldn’t finish the pancakes. I did not want to waste them! Great neighbourhood cafe. Recommend you pop down soon.

The staff here are generally a friendly bunch, though it can be a bit hit or miss depending on how busy they are. Sometimes they come off a bit snappy and other times, they’re super relaxed and welcoming. The reason for the one star, is that we picked up two cupcakes (just over £10 for both, which would’ve been good value if they were edible), and when we got home to enjoy them with a coffee, they were hard, greyish, and had an odd smell… definitely not fresh. I’m sure there are some great options on the menu, but between this and a few past visits where the vibe was off, it just doesn’t feel worth the money when it ends up in the bin. Bit of a letdown overall.

THE BEST NEW CAFE IN MANCHESTER!!! A wide variety of breakfast & lunch options from pastries, porridge bowls (that change daily) to steak and eggs (steak perfectly cooked!) A floaty, bright and breezy vibe greets you at the door when entering ‘Junction’. As does a warm “hi there, welcome! “ from the smiling staff. You’re then left choosing which comfy seat and view you’re going to plump for. The chefs have consistently chosen characterful and considered cuisine. With my focus being plant-based dishes, an increasingly unfamiliar sigh of relief came when perusing the menu, which was soon followed by the greedy inhalation of the Korean fried Oyster Mushroom ‘Chicken’ ciabatta - a triumph! In an increasingly reclusive vegan Manchester culinary landscape, ‘Junction’ greets me at the crossroads, where elevated eats meets breezy ease in cosy, plush seats.

Abysmal experience. All of the food was wrong and came out in drabs over the space of an hour, not even the same time for the same orders. A wrap was served as a roll, a flatbread was the same roll, the cheese on toast was the same roll. Staff rude and unaccommodating right from the bar to the waiters. The final straw was some “chicken tenders” which weren’t even close to tenders, tiny bits of hard pink chicken. Awful from start to finish. 7 of us and everybody had something wrong.

Lovely cafe, great coffee, good service, decaf and gluten free all catered for! Good value for money on breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Chef presents the food elegantly! One of the best GF breakfast baps I have ever had!

A great daytime working space. Both the coffee and pastry selection are tasty. Plenty of comfortable seating and space, lots of plug sockets and good wi-fi. Staff are really friendly and attentive, making you feel welcomed.

Really cool new hang out within the Manchester Exhibition Centre (or if your an oldie like me, the GMex!), chilled atmosphere and lovely food. Went for brunch and it was fab, can see it being a popular spot in the evening- will definitely go back 👍

Graduation Day & Junction ran a lunch special lunch offer......maybe they got overwhelmed with the uptake ....food order got 'mislaid', appropriate apologies made ...on the upside, when it arrived, it was filling & tasty. Would be inclined to give Junction a second visit....

We came for dinner and the service was excellent. I love that they accomodated us inside even though we booked the terrace initially. The food and drinks we ordered was full of flavour and dessert was lush! Even though it got busier, service was still attentive. We are going to return again!

If you’re thinking of booking for any special occasion or going in general don’t bother! Reserved a table for my daughter’s birthday and had to provide card details when booking. Arrived to no table reserved for us and got put upstairs to which I can only describe as a run down overspill room and stores for stock! Incredibly disappointed and you could also see this on my daughter’s face. Service was slow and drinks were nearly finished by the time the food came. My husband ordered the full breakfast and was then told they had no sausages until after 11:30. Food is barely edible; Eggs over cooked, bacon covered in black oily burnt bits, mushy hash brown come potato cake. The only decent thing on the plate were the beans and that’s saying something. The cups with sugar packets had dirt and let’s say short and curlys stuck to them. Flies buzzing round. Old birthday balloons floating round the ceiling. Strong smell of grease. £70 for a very disappointing birthday treat. Never again. Ohh and as for the pastries you see…hardly any available!

I visited yesterday with some friends for brunch. We had booked a table on the terrace but due to the wet weather the day before, they sat us upstairs. We were completely fine with this and understood that they can’t control the weather. Our waitress was extremely blunt and made us seem like we were being an inconvenience for being there which I’ve never experienced before. No friendly welcome whatsoever and we seemed to burden her for asking if there was any more sugar. We then waiting a long time for our food to come out. They did say they were understaffed so we were okay to wait, but when the food came, the wait was not worth it. My friend ordered scrambled eggs which were more like an omelette and our toasties were very basic with chips that were overdone. When we came to pay, the waitress rolled her eyes when we asked to pay separately and asked twice if we could just pay together. There has been a lot of hype about this place over social media but the only good thing about this place is the terrace, definitely not the food or staff

Fantastic food. The lass that served us was a little miserable but all other staff were great . Just one thing we picked up on was, that the same tongs were used for all take away pastries, even the ones that contained nuts, now that could be lethal if someone has a nut allergy. Just some constructive criticism, and can be easily solved. Having said all that our experience was great

Sadly our lunch on Sunday was let down by poor service. On arrival it took about 10 minutes to get staff attention, I appreciate that it was busy and it would not be an issue if not for the front of the house member who eventually acknowledged us pushed past us to get to the bar and greeted us with audible sign and overall came across as dismissive. We were then seated to our table upstairs by another member of staff. We were served quickly, food and drinks were nice and it was nice and spacious upstairs, I would however suggest that armchairs by the window are deep cleaned or replaced as they were stained. On leaving we were seen to by the same front of the house staff who once again was quite blunt and it felt like we somehow wronged her personally, which is not the type of service you expect when you pay close to 60£ for a lunch. We’ve had previous positive experiences at Libby’s but I’m not sure that we’ll look to come back again.

We were sat down at our reserved table for 30 minutes before we were asked if we would like a drink despite the tables next to us being sat down after us and served before us. The food was lovely, however the service is slow and the atmosphere is too loud with the music and busy tables.

Not bad. Steak wasn’t as good as I’ve had in other Spoons but the staff were great and constantly on it, running around. The place was clean and the toilets spotless, also no stairs!!!!!!!!

First time eating at Wetherspoons. Food was hot and delicious! And a drink included in the cheap price!!I didn't have high expectations, but it was lovely and ate there 3 nights in a row as I was away from home for work. Some of the servers looked a bit fed up, but it was very busy! It was a little loud due to a crowd of loud lads. Overall I would recommend!

Very busy on a Friday tea time. Ordered 2 scampi, chips and mushy peas. Arrived without too much of a wait but the scampi turned out to be 5 chicken nuggets. Couldn't be bothered waiting again so didn't send them back so overpaid. Poor quantity but quality OK. Won't be eating here again.

Been here a few times with Casta. A very typical Spoons. It used to be a furniture store. A few outside tables to front and a much larger rear patio. Inside it is a large rectangular room. The beer festival was on so I had a pint of The Gloaming from Scottish Loch Lomond brewery. Very good.

The food was disappointing! The ultimate burger was very dry! The onion rings were very greasy! Made me feel a bit sick! Had much better at other Wetherspoons establishments. On a positive note, the staff were nice and friendly.

We both had the new steak and ale pudding. The pudding was quite nice. However the mash potatoes were not very good at all, obviously pre-prepared and packaged, microwaved within and inch of their life and then left under the warming lights.. they were so dry that you needed the gravy to stir into them to freshen them up and make the edible. I could also count the peas.

Good food, great prices. If the dining area and drinking area were separated itd be much better. Sitting with family having a meal at lunch time isn't great listening to a table of 50 odd year old men talking about their wives privates isn't great! Not the pubs fault obviously but they should separate the dining side.

Food was good. Prices were extremely expensive. Not the best welcome. The female staff with dark hair not friendly. Just now the best service and atmosphere made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome especially when we spent alot of money. But I did overall enjoyed the food.

Popped in early Sunday for a quick breakfast. Very quiet when I sat down very busy as I left........deservedly! Great food, great service (by Cian), great vibe & very good value......what's not to like!! Highly recommended. 10/10 ❤👍

It was a little quiet when we went to it is difficult to rate the atmosphere. HOWEVER the food was superb. We has houmous and halloumi starters, steaks with sweet potato mains and a bottle of wine. Everything was perfect. Liv was lovely and service was great. I believe our chef was Andy and, yes he can certainly cook 💕

Great items for brunch. Fab aesthetics. Quality ingredients! Way too noisy when we there - the sound bounced and we might have been unlucky as to be sat near 2 tables, with customers who thought shouting to each other in a confined space as normal.

I got their carrot cake to go. It was amazing. One of the best I have ever had. Moist, crumbly cake with large chunks of walnuts and soft creamy not too sweet icing in perfect quantity. Worth the cycle from Salford!

Conveniently located close to the train station. Not my favourite spoons in Greater Manchester or Cheshire. Service was hit and miss and food was okay. In fairness, the ales were in very good condition.

Great place, lots of different areas to sit, lovely food at a great price, great outdoor seating at the back, very friendly welcoming staff. Went there for a drink in the weekend and it was packed. Really appreciate the service as it was way faster than I was thinking. We will have to pay as you buy which is a great way as we don't want to worry about the bills and tips. Food is amazing I ordered a cooked chicken which as very juicer and well cooked and tasty. We have ordered a couple of drinks which was in a reasonable price. Loved the place and atmosphere definitely suggested to everyone want to have a good time. Only problem I think was with the parking, they don't have any parking as we have to find places in the nearby streets, which isn't so nice, but it's ok as it sits on the main road.

Thought we'd give it another try. Unfortunately the food has gone worse. 3 steaks ordered. Absolutely horrible. All fat and gristle. What meat was on it was that raw it was not edible it was supposed to be well done. Really won't be visiting again. Just not good quality food 😕

As everyone knows, Wetherspoons pizzas are to die for, crispy, thin base, no stodge, and so tasty. It was a roasting hot day and they had the air con set just right. We had a very enjoyable meal.

Very reasonably priced breakfast and a good pint of lager,the food also came to the table within about 10 minutes.

I like this place. Overall its great. One or two sour faced bar maids. If you dont like serving people with a smile. Dont work in a bar. Not all of them though. Some are great.

Cannot sing a member of staff called Laura praise enough.....she was doing the work of three people and doing it well!!!!! Pub was clean,tidy and the food was great.As with all spoons it's inexpensive and well worth a visit ...it puts the other spoons in Stockport to shame!!!!

We were looking for a brunch cafe and decided to go to Nook. We went mid afternoon and the place wasn't busy. With it being our first time we went to ask how it worked, if we sat first or ordered and which tables were free. We placed our order which was 3 dishes and 1 drink as we thought we'd get coffee after. No one was waiting to order and no one had ordered food before us. It took approximately 25 mins for the 3 dishes pictured to arrive and they also forgot our drink until we asked after they served our food. The grilled vegetable focaccia was nice, simple with not much seasoning. I had to double check the pesto was in there as it wasn't apparent in taste. Didn't enjoy the mushroom soup that much. The fried eggs and avocado were ok. It wasn't smashed avo and one egg was over done. The customer service was very basic. Forgetting our drinks, little communication & not even a bye at the end. We didn't end up getting coffee from there! Although it could be a local for some we wouldn't return.

Nice bar with a bit of Character. Good selection of craft type beers and good quality Guiness. No Timmy Taylors or Black Sheep unfortunately. Nice bar snacks as it doubles as Coffee shop so Choc Brownies etc. Nice atmosphere.

I attended today with some friends and we found the food to be very basic, ordered sourdough with garlic mushrooms and scrambled egg. The mushrooms were standard, definitely no garlic, very plain. Sadly I was given dirty cutlery aswell which was extremely off putting. For that reason I have to rate the overall experience as poor and 1*. Will not be returning.

Visited today for a coffee with my friend and my 2 daughters. Ordered both my daughters an apple juice and to my horror my eldest daughter found a broken piece of glass in her drink whilst she was eating the ice!! Took it straight to the staff. The manager refunded the drinks but was laughing about it. I said to her that I didn’t think it was funny and she wouldn’t have been laughing if it had sliced my daughter’s mouth open! Will not be returning.

Visited with friends today and tried a couple of the new homemade cakes and they were delicious!! Tasted so fresh and you could smell them as soon as you walked into the cafe!

We hired the venue out for a party and we absolutely loved it. The staff were amazing and the venue worked so well, we was allowed to decorate however we want, had our own DJ and we had the best night. Would definitely recommend!!

Got asked to leave our seats we'd been sitting in for over an hour because "someone booked this place". No notice. Just immediate evacuation. Had to carry my drink outside. Went back inside 10 minutes later for the toilet and no one is sat in my seat (?!?). Staff just refer to the Higher Power of "the Booking" which overrules everything. Quite jarring considering the price and time we spent there. Venue is nice though

Been here a few times now and the full breakfast is top drawer!! Quality products used, very friendly staff and quick service. A bit disappointing some moaning customers complaining when they had to leave their table clearly over staying their welcome sat idle with no food or drinks for a while (It’s not a b and b) Apart from that a great brekkie with nice little touches with the posh tea cups (too small for us though) ha ha Thank you ladies…great service!! P.s. put a sign on the door ‘No table squatters or moaners’

Came across this little gem of a cafe by chance when at another shop near by. Service with a smile & made to feel welcome along with a excellent menu price list. I couldn't recommend enough the Cheese burger & chips with side salad i had with generous portions. You would be hard pressed to get better ! Will be back again ! Cheers 👍🏻

I've been here many times now and I cannot fault any food that I've had. I do tend to go for the Eggs Benedict quite a lot...I just love it!! Prices are very reasonable and the staff are lovely and welcoming👌🏼

Turves Road Cafe did the catering for my husband's birthday. We had a room at Heald Green Social Club and Sam did the catering . Amazing buffet, everything was so fresh and delicious, every one remarked how good it was. Made Howards 80th very special. If your having a function Turves Cafe is exceptional

Lovely place! Prices are excellent, the portions are very generous and the flavor and presentation doesn’t disappoint. The woman and the boy that served were friendly! It was a bit packed and it’s a bit small but we didn’t wait more than 20 minutes once we order.

Another absolute favourite. Homemade soup and a toastie for £5.50 Always great, home cooked food. Big portions and amazing value for money. A friendly welcome every time.

The name of this place is justified I was working in the area around the corner and got recommended this place by the customer, I got the Greek wrap with minted lamb and halloumi and it was absolutely stunning will definitely return

We had a buffet delivered for a party. The food was excellent with several of our guests saying how nice it was. There was also lots more than expected for the amount of people attending. Will definitely be ordering again in the future!

Nice shop, nice staff, but unfortunately the coffee was not great. All of the food I have seen looks great and has good reviews but the coffee tasted like it was from a nespresso machine. Very weak, milk was not steamed properly. Not a problem if it’s low priced but for £3+ I would expect a decent brew. 4 stars because everything else is good and I’m hoping that usually the coffee is a lot better.

Sandwich Heaven provided the catering for our granddaughters First Holy Communion Party at our house last Saturday. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Everyone tucked in. Sarah was so helpful with making menu suggestions for the adults and kids for a party of 30 people and then setting up the buffet on the morning of the party. We were so pleased with the quality of the food and service provided and we will definitely be using Sandwich Heaven again for party catering again . Thank you guys!

Ordered sweet pancakes (came with bacon and syrup) and couldn’t eat the pancakes, they tasted just like flour, far more bland than pancakes should ever be, even the texture was weird they weren’t ‘fluffy’ at all. Tried eating it plain and with syrup+bacon but I had to leave all the pancakes. Waste of money

A proprer cafe - prices were very reasonable, a proper breakfast was served. The cafe was busy for a Monday but staff were working hard and were polite. Thank you for a lovely breakfast befoee our trip to Lyme park.

Pleasant cafe in High Lane village, serves full English breakfasts, toasties, snacks, tea, coffee etc. We had the toasties and a tea and coffee. Will definitely visit again.
