I really enjoy coming here, food is delicious & beautifully designed. The host department could use a bit more welcoming energy being they are the first people customers interact with, they aren’t rude but they aren’t very polite. I’ve been here during the week when it’s calm & the weekend when its CRAZY & the hosts are the same either way. Servers so far have all been very good, the place is huge so there is more running around needed. The food is fantastic, so many options, the coffee selection is delicious, top quality all the way around. The lemon blueberry bread, the chorizo with A5 Wagyu, the tres leches french toast, l could keep going on. Everything l’ve tried has been delish. Will definitely keep coming back.

Consistently ranked as one of the best diners in New Jersey and the country and deservedly so. The menu is extensive as one would expect, the food comes quickly, the coffee and water glasses are refilled often and the portions are large. The prices aren’t cheap but comparable to other Jersey diners. The dining room is large, clean and filled with energy. The space is retro chic but definitely modern due to the renovation so it’s fitting but definitely feels disneyfied because the ceilings are too tall the air circulation too good and the menus, booths and cutlery and utensils too new. Otherwise the food was good to great and well worth a visit. The fried chicken needed more seasoning. The sides needed more gravy or sauce but the chicken parm was great as were the triple decker sandwiches. We didn’t get the disco fries but they looked immense and tasty (seemed like every other table had them)!

I really enjoy visiting here; the food is always delicious and beautifully presented. I've visited during both calm weekdays and bustling weekends, and the hosts maintain the same courteous attitude throughout. The servers have consistently been kind and attentive, and I appreciate their hard work, especially given how large the place is and how much running around they do. The food is genuinely fantastic with so many appealing options. I absolutely love the coffee selection—top quality all around. Hands down the BEST! I haven’t had anything from here that hasn’t absolutely delicious! Their sweet potato fries, blueberry pancakes, tiramisu latte, and tres leches are actually New Jersey’s best. Top's Diner is a place that you and your family can go for any occasion. The diner is nice and clean, kidsI’m kid-friendly Restaurant. I feel like Everything there is good if there’s something that you don’t like it’s always something else that you can order and you would like It the cornbread is to die for, and you must get some French toast. The only thing that I feel is missing is one in Manhattan. The music is great the waitress and waiters are a little slow but it's okay because the Diner gets very packed but it's all worth it.

Tops Diner was the nicest diner I’ve ever eaten in and on a Saturday night at 7 I felt overwhelmingly underdressed in a hoodie and scrubs even hidden in a corner at the bar. It didn’t stop me, and many looked like I did, but many more looked dressed up for a date or family outing. I admit I was expecting a classic diner, but this place is beautiful. Everyone was very friendly & attentive. I was greeted right away and never had to wait. Despite the fact that the place was packed, I found a parking spot in their enormous lot and had a drink in my hand minutes after being seated. There’s a full bar and the menu is still classics diner food. I had a BLT that was perfect and tres leches cake. If you’re in Newark looking for a good meal this place checks every box. It’s very clean, well staffed, fast service, tons of seating and parking.

First time here while visiting NY. Jeimy took great care of us and was so patient with our questions. The portions are generous, prices are competitive and food is delicious. The friend chicken is a must! Tres leches is huge - great to share. Short rib hash is filling and tasty. I would highly recommend trying.

The pancakes are amazing. Plenty of seating. The wait staff are all lovely. The food is so good! And the prices are perfect too. Breakfast for two for $27?? You can't find that anywhere anymore. What a great place!

I had an early breakfast here after taking a red-eye to EWR. From the moment you walk in, you can tell you’re in for a great, no-fuss meal. I ordered an omelette and grits—the food was delicious, and the service was warm and genuine. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in town. Places like this deserve our support so they can stick around for years to come.

A great Diner, amazing food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I tried multiple things on the menu, everything was great, fresh and hot, and plenty of it. Can't wait to go back, sadly I'm from Indiana, so I might be a bit B4 I get there again.

I'm sorry to have to say this about anyone,the white lady(I'm not racist just being specific)that answered the phone in the morning has the worst attitude I've ever encountered ,she consistently kept cutting me off when I was simply trying to explain how I preferred my food that I was paying for.and for her to keep saying I heard you just to get it wrong is unexceptionable,the sad part is when talking to my Co-workers about it..they all say she's the reason they don't order or go there anymore and to confirm it she was just as rude and nasty in person when I got there 😭😭 I will not be ordering from them ever again ..

Came across Sihana café quite randomly, and what a gem! Beautiful café, lovely service, and a great ambience with a very unique decor. Food was delicious. The owner, David, was very friendly. And his doggo was the highlight of our visit. Definitely recommend this spot. Can't wait to check out some authentic Georgian cuisine at their sister restaurant Sihana Bistro.

Sihana Cafe feels like a warm hug from an old friend. The staff is super friendly, and every corner is full of stories — old books, a retro typewriter, vintage radios… you can easily spend an afternoon here getting lost in the details. I ordered a latte and the chorizo omelette. The latte was smooth but the milk foam didn’t quite blend in perfectly, and the art could be stronger. The chorizo in the omelette was really tasty and the potatoes were crispy and flavorful. But for me, there was too much cheese on top — almost like eating a pizza! Great at first bite, but gets a bit heavy towards the end. Still, if you love quirky spaces and brunch plates that feel homemade, it’s worth a stop.

This coffee shop is just a stone’s throw away from Newark Penn Station, offers the best coffee in town. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by outstanding service. The staff is incredibly fast and friendly, always ready to greet you with a smile and make sure you have a great experience.

I went to a cafe near Newark Penn Station. The best thing is it’s very close to the station. I had a cappuccino and a breakfast bagel both were good. There’s plenty of seating and lots of books to read.

This is a great spot to walk to after a visit to the Newark art museum. The interior is nicely done with spacious wood block like tables and looking out on the street. Menu is not extensive but then again it’s not a diner. I ordered the salmon bowl which was delicious and everything was fresh. The cost was reasonable all things considered. I also ordered the cafe au lait which was also good but they had no sweetener, only sugar. The service was fine albeit our server seemed a little gruff (no smile, no greeting) but that doesn’t bother me as much as it may for others. I’m figuring maybe he was a having a tough day (?) . Even though it’s a place featuring Georgian food, there was really only one dish. I thought they had appetizers of Georgian origin but there wasn’t an option to order any. Maybe next time!

The focaccia bread with prosciutto was incredibly fresh and delicious — perfectly crispy, aromatic, with a great balance of textures and flavors. The shakshuka was outstanding: eggs cooked just right, the sauce rich and flavorful with a subtle kick — everything was perfectly balanced. The interior is cozy and inviting, with a calm and quiet atmosphere — a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Overall very trendy vibe and nice coffee - we ordered breakfast and whilst it was great tasting it left a little to be desired: I got the avocado toast however the poached eggs were way too hard and not runny at all My cousin got the shashouka and the tomato sauce was cold, not even lukewarm.

While visiting Newark, I visited a place called a hidden gem. I will agree the place looks very nice on the inside, compared to how the outside looks. I will admit I only had breakfast, so my review is ONLY based on that. The service and atmosphere was very nice. The food was just okay, it was just your typical breakfast foods.

The food was delicious. However the prices are ridiculous. I paid 50 dollars for two very simple items. Chipotle chicken panini with avocado sweet potato fries and French toast with bananas and strawberries with sweet potatoes fries, water bottle and lemonade. All I can say is Inflation is crazy. Its a small diner with Top prices for sure. Again though the food is delicious so worth it if you have it.

The worst $15 sandwich I’ve ever had. I can’t imagine they serve a sandwich like this in the diner where you actually get to see it before you pay, but this is what a takeout order looks like. Eater beware.

It’s been over a month since my trip to Newark/NYC and I still think about the food I ate at this restaurant. I ordered the ceviche, it was my first time ever trying the dish and it was the best thing I ate the whole trip!! My sister ordered a warm fish soup, I wish i knew the name; the waitress said it was her favorite. It. Was. Amazing. If I ever visit the area again I will be back!

Always wanted to visit a diner so as we had just arrived in Newark NJ had to give Andros a go. It was quiet, but the waitress gave us her full attention rather than just slinking off for a break. Had the strawberry cheesecake which was delicious. Coffee was hot and tasty, not bitter as is often the case. Would highly recommend for the atmosphere, service and food.

Late night dinner. For a dinner def gets the job done. Service was still good even at 4am. Pretty nice folks here. Good was good. Def a god late night dinner place if you need something good in your stomach before you sleep.

Pasta was good but everything else was really bad. Chicken parm sandwich was wet and the sauce tasted like lunchables sauce, fries tasted old and the garlic bread isn’t complementary with the pasta all though they ask as if it is. This place is more expensive than olive garden when a penne vodka sauce pasta$28, chicken parm $17, pizza fries $10 and two cheesecakes $9 each runs you $73. Worst thing is i got charged 86.42! Over charged for no reason and when i called about it they proceed to lie about prices and repeat the exact menu prices and told me it added up to 86 with their 7% tax charge. Horrible experience might as well eat at olive garden for the price

We were traveling through and needed a place to eat. This restaurant popped up on my map and I’m glad it did. The breakfast burrito is enough for a second meal, as were the double cheeseburgers (both got eaten anyway). Best treat was their red sangria. I was tempted by the bloody, but the sangria won the day. We will definitely keep this place in mind traveling through

For being a 24hr store, it satisfies what I needed after a long day. I’m not a native so I was happy to see something was open at 1am. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food wasn’t anything special, but it got the job done when I needed it, which was what mattered the most. Overall I’d come back if it was after midnight and I’m hungry.

Excellent traditional diner. It was nice to experience what a diner should be like. It brought back plenty of memories of a favorite diner of mine from many years ago. It also looked the same. These places are traditional and should be protected. The only way to keep them alive is to patronize them and keep them busy. If not, they will fade away. Forget the VIP and visit Miss America. Your stomach will thank you.

WOWWWWWW this place was so good. And the people here are even better!! Loved our service and definitely will be back. The food was equally as great. The perfect spot!!!

I never leave a review thinking that taste is relative. But I just want to say we spent $60 on a horrible lunch/brunch experience. Let me tell you, flys around food tables and it’s cool outside. These flies kept coming too close to the food even when you swatted them away. Next, the service was not even slightly good. Every time I had to literally shout to get the waitress’s attention. Whether it was to get the menu to order or to ask for a bottle of ketchup. And I could not get her attention to even get the bill. We literally had to ask the busboy to give us to go containers because the waitress was too busy counting her tips and talking to the other waitresses. Then I needed the bill because we wanted to leave so badly. So we started walking out and she finally went to the register. And finally, I left the food part tell you about it as a last thing to read because it was so unmemorable. My order was wrong and tasteless. I hate adding salt or hot sauce to the top of my food for taste. But literally it was like eating paper and so had to add something so we could swallow it. We only packed the food to go so they didn’t feel badly that we didn’t eat most of the food. Okay coffee, it was awful so I could only take sips to swallow my food. BTW we ordered veggie omelet with a side of potatoes, egg sandwich on a roll, chocolate chip pancakes and pizza fries. And the food came out too quickly. Not sure if that’s good or bad. The bell peppers were not fresh and were huge chunks, no onion, no salt in food, the sandwich does not come with a side, I had to order it separately. They ran out of onion rings and hash-browns. So I gathered they just didn’t want to make them. It was just a very BIG disappointment. NEVER GOING BACK!

What a wonderful step back in time. We loved our brunch at Miss America Diner, the service was warm and wonderful and the atmosphere was so retro and amazing!

The food was horrible. They gave me pork in my food when I pacifically asked for no Pork. They replace my food and then I received eggshells in my food. Also my companion had eggshells in their food as well. The restaurant was very cold which made our food cold. We change of seats. They did it just the heat for us. We still paid and left a tip because it wasn't the waiters fault. The waitress was nice! We wanted to support our local diners in our community but worked too hard to waste money we will never go there again in life.

A very hole in the wall diner that has both your traditional diner fare as well as many Spanish/ Portuguese dishes. Portions are absolutely huge and we got enough food to have leftovers for several meals. Highly recommend the stew- cozido- if it's on the specials menu when you go.

I was there this afternoon on Thursday September 25,25 I was invited to a wedding celebration dinner. The food was amazing,the service amazing. I highly recommend this place 💯% I grew up Downeck since 1969. I will be back God willing again 🙏. Definitely 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went there tonight since I heard about a diner and has a good bar AND as an interesting location in the back where leagues play soccer.Judah was a great server And I had the great fortune to meet Anthony as well who is the son of the owner of the property wonderful guy. Judah who answered all my questions and gave amazing service and I had the lucky opportunity to meet Anthony one of the sons of the owner,at this unique property I ordered a chicken soup which was amazing and I'm very picky about my soup and the drinks were great. If you get the chance, definitely stop by this unique location which is a diner that has food, a bar that serves good drinks, and in the back a location for leagues that play soccer to watch for entertainment a very unique spot indeed. I will definitely come back.

Terrible place. Not only was the order wrong, but the food was undercooked and burnt. The price was not justified for the horrible cook and the terrible service. The stuffed mushrooms were cold, and the stuffing was somehow burnt but cold as well? The eggs were raw and they had stains from a dirty girl. The bagel i had was just dry and incredibly flat. The omelette was also terrible. The feta cheese was nonexistent even tho it was suppose to be a spinach-fetta cheese egg omelette. All this for 50..terrible. Never go to this place. When you randomly find a diamond in the rough. Coming back from NYC we were looking anywhere for a place to crash to eat and refuel. Came across this place nestled in a more commercial/industrial part of town but still in the iron bound section of Newark… you’re in for a different experience. There on a Saturday their specials menu is not for the normal diner. This is a Portuguese inspired affair and my wife and I dined on some great food. I personally got the goat, my wife the sea bass. Do not expect your white bread classic diner coming here. Also don’t be afraid of the area if you’re not familiar with it. Waitress was super friendly as were a bunch of other people. Live a little and step outside your comfort zone.

Food was very good. Service was excellent. We stopped in after a long flight for a late dinner. It is close to SNAP car rental and our first time therw. Don't let the tiny size scare you away. It's a very cute neighborhood diner. Owner was very friendly. Defimately will go back next time we travel.

An absolute delight and fantastic time. Passed through on recommendation from a family friend and we all went together. They have many halal options for other muslims passing through for a bite. A few things we got were the chicken salad fish meals and mine a deluxe cheeseburger. And an Uptop (what I usually called an Arnold Palmer) the portion sizes for us all were great and hearty and filling and the fries that came with my meal were the perfect fresh and crunchy. Our server Vivian was an absolute delight and helpful. We happen to be there at a time it wasn't extremely packed but still busy. I liked sitting down but by my own habits I definitely would take my meal on the go, there were many beautiful areas around to rest and eat. All in all would love to visit here again when I'm in town.

Overall 8/10 Food is a 7/10 As a halal joint of course i give this a 10/10. But to just give it a 10/10 because it’s halal and not be completely honest is so biased and not fair. I had the diva egg wrap (egg white, grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato), chicken tender wrap with fries, home fries with grilled onions and peppers, and i forgot the name of the last one (drenched?) gravy turkey chops which was the recommendation of the waitress. With a side of coleslaw corn bread (corn muffin lol) and mac and cheese. Diva wrap was 8.5/10 Fries 7/10 (a little too salty) Tender wrap 8/10 Turkey 5/10 Corn bread (corn muffin) 5/10 Mac and cheese 7/10 Cole slaw 5.5/10 (too many large onion pieces) Service and our waitress was absolutely wonderful. So pleasant, friendly and caring. Would definitely say to come by and try their food. I would totally come by again

This place was AMAZING!! Today was my first going and I definitely will be returning. Let me start with the fact that the service was so friendly! Everyone was very kind and attentive to my boyfriend and I from the moment we walked in the door. He got the chicken and waffles and I got the chicken dinner. The portions are very nicely sized and the fact two people can eat there for under $30 shows just how affordable it is!. Our food was excellent! Which says a lot because I'm from the South and am always disappointed when attending 'soul food' restaurants. Not here!! I felt like I was eating my mother's home cooked Sunday dinner! I left satisfied, very satisfied, and the only thing they were missing was a bed for me to take a nap after finishing my entire plate. Please go experience this lovely restaurant!!! Bless

More than $50 worth of food and there's nothing for us to eat. Oxtail are mealy. Gravy is watery. Vegetables are bland and unseasoned. Meatloaf was just not good. SAD EXPERIENCE.

Was in NJ from Boston and wanted to find a Black restaurant in the area. Long story short I found Kings. Halal Soulfood!!!! I got Fried Fish, Turkey Chops, Mac and Cheese, Stuffing, and a Beanpie. The Pie was Basic, but the food was a 10. Everything was good! I shared with my wife whom also felt the same way. The staff was also very helpful and friendly which made me feel at home. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a great atmosphere, good vibes, and very reasonable prices. The food was delicious, and our waitress, manager, and the rest of the staff (other than security) were welcoming and professional. Unfortunately, the security experience really brought the mood down. We were only in the area briefly while waiting for my daughter’s concert to finish and decided to try the restaurant after checking the website and reviews. The website states that the dress code only applies after 7pm on Friday and Saturday. We went on a Sunday, but my son and I were almost denied entry because we had on Crocs. Security made a big deal about the shoes and we stood out there for 5-10 min just waiting because of the shoes (there was no line) After I pointed out the policy, security checked with the manager and then let us in. My sister also had her Stanley cup with water because it was hot outside, and the security guard was extremely rude and snotty about it, saying “you can’t bring that in here, y’all must not go out much.” He then made her leave it at the front door. That comment felt unnecessary and unprofessional, and it took away from the excitement we had walking in. We mentioned the situation casually to our waitress, and without us even asking, the manager came to our table to personally apologize. That gesture meant a lot, and it showed that management truly cares about their customers. Overall, the food and vibes were excellent, but the security staff needs more professionalism and consistency with following the restaurant’s actual policies. Parking is also tough, so be prepared to use valet (around $30). If the security experience matched the quality of the food and staff, this would have been an easy 5-star review.

AMAZING, we held an office party here and it was fabulous. The food tasted delicious and the is beautiful. The manager Larry answered all our questions and offered great menu options (Including for vegetarians).

Must try🍽️ Tijuana Burrito ( Veg) (limited Veg options, but the burrito tasted so so good. It was a lot of veggies with fresh sour cream was m and the habanero sauce) The presentation and ambiance was lit. The music was so so loud!! But the vibe was great. Perfect was a bigger party if you want to have fun and have amazing food. The DJ seemed chill and the mixes were really good. Gratuity is included and the prices are kinda high. Overall worth it!!

Beautifully decorated spot with good food but impersonal service. My wife and I visited Little Tijuana for an early dinner in May 2025. The moment we walked in, we were struck by the restaurant’s beautiful, artistic decor, which instantly set the tone for a pleasant dining experience. The overall experience was mixed though. Most of the food ordered was excellent with a couple of exceptions. The drinks were flavorful, but noticeably diluted. Service was efficient but impersonal. Everything arrived correctly and politely, yet we never felt truly cared for - no one stopped by to ask if we liked the food or drinks, no smile, no friendly chat. We can recommend Little Tijuana for its ambiance, décor, and solid food — just don’t expect much beyond what's served at your table. Food ordered Guacamole Trio - three types of guacamole to try and all three were absolutely tasteless :( Mexican Fajita - excellent. Flavorful and sizzling. Lamb Barbacoa (lamb shank) - excellent. Melting in the mouth.

Food was decent but I gave 3 star because of poor billing. They charge gratuity on the bill irrespective of the group size. Wonder whether that is even legal.

So awesome place to chill and vibe, the best part is getting to chose your vibe settings here. They have three different levels. The lounge , you dance and have drinks, the dinning room where the music is at its mid and the rooftop, super elegant and that’s where I was loved it! Had a great time🫶 the owner did such a great job and he made us feel so welcomed that’s really what made me want to stay cause I don’t like being in Newark. The only thing I did not like was the valet parking. I get the $25 to park but what threw me off is that the guy didn’t let me enter the restaurant from the parking lot and made me walk around to the front. But when I came back for my car I saw he let someone else go through the back. So idk if maybe she’s also the owner prob. Idk. But I’d hope if they could change that because I had heals on and it was super dark and a bit of walk to go to the front.

Great place with a mad chill atmospheric vibe. As a vegan, I make an effort to find places that accommodate the plant based lifestyle with more than salads, lol. Their vegan menu was very extensive. I felt a little cheat in me, so I ordered the vegan blueprint Phillychesse steak wrap. Which was phenomenal. My only issue was the portion size. I do feel that the wrap could've been bigger, but the taste of the ingredients made me overlook that. Well seasoned mock meat, with fresh veg inside. The fries were coo, no issues there. Lightly seasoned for an overall tasty vibe. I treated myself to the maple and also the blueberry vegan donuts. The blueberry was one point!! The maple could've been better. They should've been heated up a little more to truly let the donut melt in your mouth. They didn't hold well and became less enjoyable as time went on. But the blueberry was definitely more of the hit for me. I would definitely recommend this place, and I do plan to visit again.

Work brought me to the area and I stopped by for an afternoon refuel. The location was fairly unassuming but maybe that’s just me being used to the Northwest. I found it to be a wonderful establishment juxtaposed by the dense (but neat) industrial area. Better parking and interior space than I’ve grown accustomed to around here, wonderful separation and options for seating, service was quick and they’re very considerate. I went here to celebrate my daughter’s 24th bday back in January. Me and my family had such a great time!!! It was a chill atmosphere and we were able to simply relax and enjoy ourselves. The food was phenomenal!!!!!!!! My boyfriend and I went back last weekend but we arrived right before closing and were unable to dine in. I wanted to introduce him to the establishment since he had never been. We arrived too late, but we will definitely try again another time.

I wish I caught our server’s name—he was excellent! From the time I called to check if seating was available to even after dropping the check, our server was prompt, attentive, and had our entire group laughing. The food was great with many vegan options. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and it was very clean. It has its own parking lot which made everything easy. Perfect place to go if you need to be close to Newark Penn Station.

I got the chicken wings, they were good saucy but tasted dry. I forgot the name of the burger but it looked as amazing as it tasted! First food place we tried in Newark NJ! The service was spectacular and that’s what would bring us back.

Vegan-friendly! The menu had multiple vegan options available. Portions are massive. I had the tofu scramble which was just OK - wish it had more developed flavor. I could taste the spices, but something was missing. My partner had the sausage omelet and enjoyed it. The interior is very cute and well-decorated. There is seating outdoors as well. The parking lot is right before the building and can be easily missed.

A true gem hidden in a rather sketchy neighborhood! This is why I love using GoogleMaps to find places to eat when we travel: a wide selection of original salads, burgers, sandwiches, smoothies and crafted coffees and teas in a very hip setting, minutes from 95. I am writing the review so we can find this place again next time we travel this way.

This is a hidden gem in the Newark area. A very small, and old place but the food and service was amazing. The food is served hot and made to order. The only downside for me is they didn't serve pork bacon or sausage. Family owned and ran and been in business for over 16 years. Give it a try and don't let the outside or the area distract you.

The energy in the room as soon as we walked in was so hospitable, I just knew the food was going to be good 😂 The cook & mrs.Shirley took good care of us! Finding a breakfast place where my non pork vegetable eating boy friend was difficult but this place literally had all of it! & some GOOD coffee too . We got a spinach and broccoli omelette with beef chicken sausage. I got blueberry waffles with a beef bacon and beef chicken sausage. We will be doubling back from Delaware forsure! 🫶

This is only my second time eating at this place and I can honestly say it’s amazing! The first time I went I had a grilled chicken wrap now i got the crispy chicken wrap with curly fries both times & a smoothie I forgot the name. The smoothies are very thick & the straws are perfect! Came in ordered a Chicken Cesar wrap on a spinach wrap. Received a Chipotle wrap instead. Called to speak with manager and was given the cook Charlie, who did apologize and offered a credit/refund on my next visit. The person who took the order was at fault here but nowhere to be found to take the call and offer an apology or anything. Poor customer service.

The food is good, always receive good portions. But just because your food is good doesn’t mean you get to have terrible customer service. I’m gonna take a 90 day break from this place. I’ll see how I feel about coming back afterwards. Thanks but no thanks.

Thought this was a cafe. When I asked for coffee they said only until 11am. Came here and left empty handed. They should have something posted on their menu or something so people don’t waste their time. Seemed to have a good selection of heathy drinks but as someone who works night shift I needed a coffee and was eat down for real.

A co worker recommended this place, specifically the turkey wings. I call to order and dude said 5min (thought that was a bit strange) my food is ready when I get there, it was just about $25 for turkey wings and 2 sides. I ate one turkey wing, some Mac n cheese, yams and finished the cornbread. I’ve been vomiting and in the bathroom since. I will not be going back to this place again

My wife came across this place after watching Matt DV do a review on YouTube. We've ordered from here twice already and have not been disappointed either time. It truly reminds us of our grandparents' cooking. Every bite was delicious and I did not have to add any type of seasoning to my plate. The portion size was huge for the platters which I really appreciated. We'll have to try some breakfast the next go around.

This is fantastic soul food! The place is very low-key, but super high-class food. The Lima beans are perfectly cooked, along with everything else. Wow, this is so good! The only thing this meal is missing is a nap!

This is my first time going here. A coworker recommended it. I ordered the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, and yams. I also ordered pig feet... Omgoodness it's soooooooo good! Everything is delicious! Caught them right before closing for takeout on Easter Sunday. This was my first time eating here despite riding past the restaurant basically all my life. Blown away by the food, easily some of the best soulfood in Newark. The oxtails and turkey wings were tender and flavorful. The mac and cheese and yams were perfect. The fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned, and the cabbage was decent as well. I’ll absolutely be back to try other dishes as well as their breakfast. Don’t be discouraged by the location or minimal online presence. This is a no-frills spot beats out a lot of the more overhyped/popular soul food restaurants, easily.

We were looking for a soul food restaurant that have grits found a place in Newark NJ. When you walk through the door you smell home cooking. I ordered grits with scrambled eggs and cheese and corn beef hash. It was excellent just the way I like . My other half ordered salmon cakes omg cooked perfectly nice and seasoned and crispy. Yes we’re coming back for dinner. The chef came out to make sure how we wanted our food cooked which was very nice. Thanks chef.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our son’s 21st birthday! The food, drinks were delicious. They also made his birthday very special by giving him his personalized menu. The staff was very friendly. The view of the city and the Statue of Liberty was beautiful.

The pizza was outstanding, the meatballs were full of flavor, and the truffle fries were addicting. I ordered the filet mignon, which was a little overcooked (I asked for medium), but still very good. My husband ordered the pork chops, and he absolutely loved them — tender and perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately, our server was not attentive. He never came back to check on us after dropping off our meals and even messed up our martinis. The saving grace of the night was the manager, who was truly exceptional. He immediately made things right by comping our drinks, was incredibly professional, and even invited us upstairs to see the beautiful rooftop bar and lounge. He completely turned our experience around. Despite the service issue, we’ll definitely be returning — the food, ambiance, and management made a great impression.

Last night I traveled into Jersey City for a night out on the town with a friend. We had reservations at Felina for 730. Seated promptly and accomodated very well with the seating I had requested, which was as close to the windows as possible. Gorgeous view from where we sat (first 2 pics) Our waiter was polite, attentive and engaging. My friend ordered a tequila and titos and I ordered a smoked old fashioned with Whistle Pig. I asked for 3 cherries (my signature). Drinks came back about 15 mins later - hers was good, mine was not. Mine looked like it had been sitting at the well for some time as the ksrge ice cube was melted much more than it should have been, had 2 cherries and and tasted flat. Sent it back and it came back much better, but not smoked at all. Waiter was on it tho and brought the glass smoker to the table to make sure it was right this time. For appetizers we ordered the Calamari and meatballs. Both were average. Calamari was stringy tho, and they served it with ranch (weird) and marinara. Meatballs tasted like they were missing ingredients but still weren't terrible - but they were small. For main course, she ordered rigatoni ragu. I ordered a sopressetta pizza with hot honey and cacio de pepe. All 3 entrees were subpar. My pizza looked like someone took a bite out of one of the slices and covered it with a piece of sopressata. Cacio de pepe looked like half a serving, was overly salty and drenched in a cream sauce. It was cooked well trho - a very good al dente. The rigatoni ragu was ok, but not great by any means. For dessert we ordered cheesecake and tiramisu, along with a double espresso and cappuccino. To our disappointment, we were told that there was no coffee available at all, because the machine was broke. The tiramisu was good. The cheesecake was warm, like it had been sitting for some time. Overall, the ambience was amazing. Great views and a very trendy design on the interior. The service was very good. The food experience was absolutely subpar. The icing on the cake, was that we struck up conversation with the table next to us, and they had the same feeling and reactions as we did about their meals. I would not visit this establishment again. Despite the amazing views and good service, our overall experience was overshadowed by unfavorable food taste, smaller portions and overall quality.

Celebrated our anniversary here. The entire experience was amazing. We got dirty martini and felina Negroni, Caesar salad, and a half dozen oyster to start. Followed by cacio e Pepe and filet mignon. Finished the meal with espresso, tiramisu, a surprise berry cake and complimentary limoncello. Esteban and the staff provided exemplary service and went above and beyond to make our anniversary extra special. There was also a live band which completed the entire experience. Highly recommend!

I took my mom here yesterday for her bday diner and we were seated and served by CARLOS. Carlos was the best waiter we ever had the pleasure to meet! Everyone ask for him! He made sure my child felt included as well as always being available to all of our needs. Heck he ever took a lobster for my son to touch and us to get a picture! Alsooo the food please Jesus delicious everything was insane then we received a tour of the rooftop by carlos to end the night just an amazing experience!

This restaurant has been a mainstay eatery for many years in downtown Newark. They offer an extensive hot/cold self-serve buffet (by the pound) or you can order a meal at the counter from their extensive diner type menu. Sit down to eat at one of their many tables or take-out. Counter service is friendly and efficient and the dining area is clean and spacious. Prices are comparable for the area and meal serving size is filling. The entrance is handicap accessible and there is metered street or pay/lot parking.

Service is good. Food is always great. Place is always clean. Even when I come in late before work, they are still polite enough to let me sit in & eat. I love this place!

This restaurant is well known by all the people in the area. The food is delicious and fresh, you can order to eat in or take out. The prices are very good and the people who work there are very friendly.

Honestly the salmon wasn’t done. When I bit into it I was so grossed out and it tasted so fishy. The service was good but that was about it. The chicken wing I had tasted old but the veggies were good. Unfortunately I wont be returning

It was clean. Had the pancakes for $3.50 and they were nice size. The buffet was ready and everything looked clean and fresh. I had some fruit. I hate to peal fruit so I was happy to see all kinds of fruit all ready to eat. Pealed and fresh. No old fruit. Had the tres leche cake and it was great! My 2nd time here and loved it and the veriety they offer. Food is hot too. 5 thumbs up!

Garden State Diner Review While waiting for my plane to arrive, I decided to stop in and grab a bite to eat. The food was really good—I ordered the Jersey Morning, which comes with a Kaiser roll and Taylor ham (aka pork roll), along with coffee and orange juice. However, the service left something to be desired. There were plenty of staff on the floor, but they didn’t seem very focused on the customers. Maybe it was just an off day. I wasn’t in a rush, but I noticed several people waiting so long to be seated that they ended up leaving.

The bagel with BEC was delicious!!! The Cuban with coleslaw also delicious!!! The fruit parfait I would skip and it’s way overpriced. The Nutella shake was good too. The service was below par, once they take your order you never see your waitress again:( They also add on a 3% employee retention to your tab not sure if it’s NJ thing or not. Overall I would eat again but get it to go.

!!! DO NOT EAT HERE !!! THERE WAS GLASS IN MY FOOD AND I HAD TO VISIT THE ER. I visited this restaurant on 9/23/25 to get some food before my flight back home. In my coleslaw, there was a piece of glass that I only found because I bit down on it while I was eating. My server didnt come back after my order because they were busy and this other server talked to me instead. She treated me horribly and never once apologized. When I asked for a manager, she told me the manager wasn't there and that I'm fine because the glass is on the plate and I should leave. She also threw away the glass. I felt like I was trying to be reasonable and just wanted to go home, but after that I got mad and I started to feel a lot of pain in my stomach. I own a restaurant myself so I could not believe these workers could be so careless with people's food. I asked several times for a receipt but was refused. I asked for help getting medical assistance and they said they didn't know and brushed me off. I eventually dialed 911 to call the police to get a receipt and an ambulance to take me to the ER because I didn't know if I ate any glass. If something happens on the plane I wouldn't be able to get help. What was supposed to be a simple meal turned into me missing my flight when I have a busy day tomorrow and a hospital visit. This was my worst experience at both an airport and a restaurant.

My Philly cheese steak sandwich + beer battered onion rings were genuinely delicious. Both had a bit of sweetness to them, and it just really hit the spot. Staff could be faster and more attentive. I was there at an off-peak time when the dining room fluctuated between 1/3-1/2 full and it still took way too long to be seated and a first approach just to take a drink order. The pricing is very similar to other food-court style places in the airport, but better food and real seating provided. Having said that, the booth seats are an ergonomic nightmare that was made especially brutal after a long flight.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious 😋 Portion size as expected for a diner and the pricing was exceptionally responsible for an airport or any type of sit down. Food came out quick and hot. But....the service was definitely not to par with the kitchen. No Φιλόξενia (Google it) from the server and the host was too busy socializing w staff and on her phone. As passengers stopped to read menu there was no engagement or invitation to come it. I'm pretty sure that's what a "skilled" host does. Sorry no photos...I was starved!

I came here for the first time to catch a international flight. At first there is no one there to seat you down. Don't these people know that work there, people are on a tight schedule and have flights to catch. Then after I got seated. I wanted for another 12 mins and told them when I sat down that I am ready to order. Another 2 guest walked in and they sat next to me. They ordered there food before me. Then the lady finally came and took my order after. I was there first. The people next to me got there food right away. I just wanted a soup. Not a difficult order to do. I waited 30 mins and asked where my food was. The lady was like oh I am so sorry and I can get it to go. I told her No and walked right out. There is no urgency and customer service and will never come back!!!

Super SloMo re-invented... My son was completely ignored by the staff. Super unfriendly ladies behind the counter. The 2 Asian men were working very hard. The 3 ladies were standing around and ignoring guests as much as they could...and treating the men very badly. I am very sorry for this behavior as I am a woman... Never again!!! To all tourists I can only recommend to go somewhere else.

I ordered the South by Southwest, with an extra hard boiled egg. It was fresh. Overall enjoyable.

We had Huevos rancheros, pancakes and black coffee. Eggs, avocado and the tortilla chips were very good, pancakes better than most shops there. Black coffee was below my expectations. The service and the employees were very kind and helpful.

I ordered a Turkey and cheddar on gluten-free toast. I didn't realize that they had a turkey cheddar sandwich that was on their preset menu with avocado. After I got the sandwich I made them aware that I am allergic to avocado. The server was annoyed but reordered the sandwich. When I got the sandwich back there was just turkey on toast. No cheese, no lettuce, no tomato. Just turkey on toast. After already waiting for 15 minutes and the server to seem even more annoyed I decided it was best to the my $15 dollar mistake and leave.

I ordered hot latte this morning 10am, the lady made espresso, steamed the milk.. then that wasn't enough for my cup, so she was adding water from the same espresso dispenser she just brewed coffee. It tastes disgusting. And I paid $6,50 just for cofee here)))) Starbucks prices WOW! Then I got salmon sandwiches and muffin- $30 👎👎👎

I went to Altas Horas Lanches on my lunch break after not visiting for years. Back in the day, the food was really good and the staff was super nice, so I decided to give it another try. I ordered the X-Frango sandwich, which was pretty good, although the cashier was a bit rude. I also bought a Kibe to have later for dinner, and unfortunately, that was a terrible experience. After eating it, I became very sickI was throwing up, had diarrhea, and even heartburn. It seemed overly greasy, and I could taste the oil even when I got sick. Because of this, I cannot recommend the Kibe here at all.

Love the sandwiches here, perfect when you really hungry. Great size and good price. Plus cause it's open 24/7 it makes it even better anytime you are craving great food in the middle of the night

So I really enjoyed the food here, but I did not like the atmosphere. One of the customers tried to talk to my sister, which was very inconvenient and I asked for four mayonnaise temperada and I was not provided with such, but was charged for.

I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years, but today I was extremely disappointed. I ordered a X-Tudo Picanha and received the sandwich in the photo — the meat was tough and not what I ordered. I called to complain, and the person who answered said ‘that’s what you ordered’, which was likely a misunderstanding from the attendant. I work in customer service myself, and I can say that service was terrible. Please remember that customers are the ones who keep a business open. Unfortunately, after this experience, you’ve lost a loyal customer and also several referrals I used to make. ❌”

Stayed in Newark for three nights and discovered this café — truly a hidden gem in the city. Affordable prices, warm and friendly service, and an excellent selection of breakfasts. Definitely 5 stars!

This place was recommended by a coworker since we both wanted a decent pastrami sandwich and our regular go to is currently closed. I went in believing it was a good idea. The place was clean and the customer service was good. The wait time was not too long, even though they were starting to get a little busy. I ordered a pastrami on rye with lettuce, tomatoes and mustard. My coworker ordered just pastrami on rye. They do not have pickles. Prices were reasonable. When I got to my office and opened my sandwich, I was disappointed with what I saw. Grease! The wrapping was soaked in grease. The bread was dark and mushy with grease, and the grease was oozing out of the sandwich. The bread on the side of my sandwich that had the lettuce was still normal looking rye, because the lettuce was a type of barrier. My coworker had the same issue with her sandwich. Grease oozing out of the sandwich and soaking the bread! Since we were hungry, she and I tried to blot the grease with paper towels so we could at least eat the pastrami. That didn't work because, not only was it greasy, it was entirely too salty! My coworker said she loves salt, but it was way too salty even for her. This lunch was inedible for both of us! Time and money wasted! Never again!

Great place owner is pretty cool . I had a reuben and a Italian sandwich. The Italian sandwich was my favorite more than the reuben very fresh. Parking is very hard to find I would recommend calling in advance and placing an order. For two Reuben’s and a Italian sandwich came to $39. I would definitely say give it a try!

This has been my go-to spot for a while now, the sandwiches are great! Typically what we do on a day that there won't be too much time in-between meetings, is order two breakfast sandwiches, grab two bags of chips and split a sandwich. Reasonably priced considering the great quality of food. It can get pretty busy here so I tend to call ahead, by the time I'm down the elevator, walk there, and grabbing my drinks the food is ready. Give this deli a try!

This spot has been on my radar for a while and happy I got to try it. I called in my order of the Sweet Lou with a nice guy that answered. When I arrived I couldn't find parking. Parking in this area is terrible so be prepared. When I walked in the man said my name and gave me my food and it came to about $10. I paid via credit card and left. When I tasted the sandwich it was pretty good. I liked the flavoring and it was plenty especially for the price. I will be back for more.

This sun-shined Street, is seconds off of Broad street Newark. Cafe Airlie is like walking into Cheers (The 80’s TV show where everyone knows your name). The owner/ manager is the friendliest person. Calling everyone that walk in by name. I soon felt like I was eating breakfast in my living and talking with my family. Everyone one that came in seems to interact. It really felt like home. The breakfast platter was yummy. Yesterday I had a chopped salad. Checkout their menu. I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Shop local. Eat with friends or family. This cafe was clean and had spacious seating. The staff was friendly. Come on in.

Customer Service Is Everything and tht Particular Mc D"s is Whack most of all you can't put your On Creamer/Sugar in your Coffee and you cant even get a pack of Ketchup, Syrup, Barbacue Sauce, Honey Mustard, Ect.....Bc of What Oh They Saving bc ppl, Kids, might Waste it so they Loose alot better yet Tell Us:

The staff is very nice. They have two methods of ordering. Self service ordering at a machine. In which you could either pay cash at the register or with the machine with a credit or debit card. You can still order and pay at the register. It's very crowded doing lunchtime. Service is very fast if your ordering to take out. Eat in is a bit slow. The food when ordered with the machine comes to your table. It took 30 minutes to receive my order from the time it was placed. Due to a very large crowd. However the food is always fresh and hot. On site restroom which are kept very clean. On site security guard is very pleasant and helpful.

Always good for a quick bite but service is slow. I waited 10 minutes for just a quarter pounder burger only which i personally think is ridiculous. Way too many vagrants just sitting around taking up table seats and very little securiity for an area that size. But as long as you can handle those few gripes then enjoy..

The place is a drug Haven. If you want to purchase drugs. Go there. The security guard who was there for several years was just fired for being a pedophile. The cashier's try there best but there overwhelmed by the array of filth and trash that frequent that place. Not for families. Don't bring your kids there, I toddler might accidentally pick up a drug pill and think it's candy and die or you might find yourself sitting on a dirty syringe. I have no problems with anyone there, or any negative motivation. I'm just being objective and telling you how it is. The only positive is actually most of the employees. They try there best, most of them, however there are a few "fake gangster" types that will display a nasty attitude for no reason at all., Or maybe because a few customers before you aggravated them. I also seen small roaches. You see homeless people will go there to keep warm and they bring these undesirable critters, bed bugs with them. I can go on. But this should be sufficient.

They need to pay attention to the details. Orders are consistently filled incorrectly. The management here greatly lacks in customer satisfaction skills. This restaurant is a drug and homeless hang out. Great place if you can stand the smell and want to preyed upon buy pan handlers. Any drug you want is available. The cleaning people do the best they can, however, the tables and rest rooms are usually filthy and dirty. This is NOT a place to bring children.

Food is great but it is a tense experience. Customers are loud and who are there to socialize. While the true customers are forced to be cautious. When I was there a swarm of police ran in while I was coming out. Not sure what was happening and was not trying to find out. Now, I go to Burger King down the street. It's calmer and not as intense. Otherwise, it's McDonald's. Go in, order, get food, and leave. Don't get too comfortable

Good service, but overpriced. The service was very good, and the staff speaks both Spanish and English, which is a big plus. We had to wait a bit, but nothing too bad. The food was tasty, but we feel the prices are way too high — we paid $50 for two bagels, a yogurt, and two espressos. It was a nice experience to try once, but we wouldn’t come back.

The bagels aren't fresh and my everything bagels had almost no seeds. Avoid. Extremely disappointed. My bagels were tough, picked from one of 4 huge baskets stacked full of everything bagels -- most likely cooked the day before. They were rock hard the next day. We were so disappointed in these we walked a block away and had much fresher, softer, warm-of-the-oven bagels. These all were still quite food the next day. Ess-a-bagel used to always be my goto in NYC but they were hands down the worst we had of 4 places in Midtown.

It gets busy in here, and rightfully so! 🙌🏻 It's a perfect spot to stop and get a bagel, and at such a convenient location. I ordered the Mr. Nova Lova, and let me tell you the portions are so filling you won't be able to finish it! There was the perfect amount of delicious smoked salmon and the perfect amount of cream cheese. Bagel was toasted perfectly, just how I like it. I love this location, and will definitely be coming back many times in the future!

The best bagel in NYC! I always have the whole wheat and usually with the delicious egg salad. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because I had asked for it to be double toasted (it was 2:30 pm and there was nobody in line but me). My bagel was barely toasted and some parts were even cold. Regardless it is an awesome bagel!

Absolutely delicious, chewy, authentic, and did I already say delicious (?) bagels. The line-up of available spreads is honestly dizzying, and though some seem a bit risqué, I'd say most are worth a try. Ess-a-Bagel is worth your time and appetite, do give it a try if you haven't already.

Went here on the second day in NYC and it was so delicious we came back 2 more times in our 5-day stay. So much choice and very generous fillings. We only struggled to get a table on the last day when we went around 9:30am, later than in previous visits when we’d been able to sit and eat there.

I cried with joy! A big Thank yall, to Alex and the rest of the amazing team who helped and thought of the idea!! I live in San Antonio, Texas. My daughter lives and works in NYC. Today is her first Bday in the City. I reached out to Ess-A-Bagel, (her favorite bagel spot) Alex answered. I explained everything and told him I wanted to surprise my daughter, with her favorite Morning Classic Bagel. Alex mentioned he would make sure to put a little Birthday message on her order. I figured it would be a small little, hand written note! I was not expecting what they did for this Mama, so far away from her daughter. I am blown away at the love and support I received from Alex and another female who answered the second time. I apologize for not knowing her name. For context, my daughter’s nick-name is, “Pie”. The cleverest note was printed out and a slice of pie was included in her delivery order, without my knowledge. This is the most unexpected, and heartfelt gesture, I had ever seen. I was surprised and so was she when she found out Ess-a-Bagel added it all on their own!! Thank you Alex and team! I’m still in tears…

Went there today, which happens to be Halloween just to order the promo dulce de leche frappe today. Well, it turned into an odyssey. It was after 4 p.m., so it's busy, but that doesn't excuse the type of behavior I witnessed in this location earlier. Sadly, this isn't my first or second complaint regarding this Mickie D'S, but it's starting an unwelcome trend. I get to the cashier where a young lady proceeds to take my order. I ask for a med DDL frap and ask for it to be extra sweeter. She tells me that they can add extra caramel. She never mentioned that it wasn't eligible for the deal I used on my app, nor did she charge me anything additional for the extra shot of caramel. So, after paying for my order, I take my receipt and patiently wait with the rest of the other customers ahead of me. I am also still waiting for their orders as well. Finally, (the climax of this tale) my order number is called. The only thing is, I was given a DDL frap but a reg med caramel frap instead. I respectfully tell my cashier that I ordered the DDL, and I would rather have what I ordered. Now, instead of apologizing for the error, the young lady tells her Mgr on duty, saying, "I didn't order a DDL." I was shocked and angry at what I heard. So, then the young woman proceeds to go back and forth with me like preschool kids that I said or didn't ask for what I ordered. The Mgr compounds the sich, making it worse by telling her subordinate to just "drop it." The Mgr says to me I'll give it to you " this time," as if I were lying about my order. I even asked the Mgr if there was a difference in the amount bcuz I'd pay it without a problem. Then, to add a cherry to my sundae, I hear and witness them laughing at me as if I were to be mocked. This was highly unprofessional and not even proper customer service etiquette. I myself have worked customer service for years, and it doesn't make sense when a cashier and her supervisor are clearly uneducated in how to interact with customers and small incidents get escalated due to improper face to face situations present themselves. I do not want or need a free meal , gift card, or coupons to pacify and appease me. What I do want is real and actual change. I've entered several complaints regarding unprofessional customer service demeanor for this same location. I happen to frequent due to the fact that it is a block from my home. Just bcuz it's in an urban, low income, high crime area doesn't mean that the customers who come there don't deserve to be treated as well as any other community. Now, with that said, it doesn't mean that I never received exemplary treatment from any of their staff. However, it should be across the board and not just some of the staff that applies to. Please, do better afternoon weekday staff at the Frelinghuysen Ave McDonald's. As for our young Black women who I encountered today, I apologize for the comment I made about the problem with our younger generation . Their inability to say they're sorry. That was uncalled for and came out of my frustration and unheard in the moment.

The most disgusting thing I ever experienced in my entire life, a frozen cold!!! un cooked burger I took some bites and vomiting. What I ate I had to write this comment before I even returned back to the store and speak to a manager. I should also call the health department. My stomach now hurts and I’m disgusted by this place now uncut beef can really hurt. You can also kill you, hopefully I don’t get sick. Outside of the burger. Looks like it’s cooked but it’s totally raw. The department of health should arrive here unannounced is food poisoning. If I recall beef is the most dangerous meat especially uncooked. This is actually the second time the first time my wife went there to get some chicken strips for my son and they were frozen and she never went back to return it this time. I’m on my way now. I don’t even want them to give me another burger. I just don’t want them to get anyone else sick.

The area of the mcdonald’s isn’t the best and their outside garbage is constantly overflowing, it’s not the best area so it can’t be helped. The wait time for the food isn’t too bad either and the food tastes how it should however they don’t keep up the cleanliness of the dining area. One night I came a little late but almost every table either had food crumbs and sauce stains or people’s belongings left ontop? The floor wasn’t the best either and I decided to just take my food to go that day and this isn’t the jest time I’ve seen their dining areas not kept up, I don’t believe the staff cares much of it, so i’ll be going elsewhere.

Unfortunately, this McDonald’s is the most convenient option for me since it’s on my morning route. While there are a couple of employees who consistently show a pleasant attitude, the majority of the staff particularly those working the drive-thru are extremely unprofessional and lack basic customer service skills. One employee, notably the one with green hair, has displayed especially rude and disrespectful behavior. It’s disheartening to see individuals in customer-service roles who seem to have no regard for the customer experience. Everyone is a customer somewhere, and it’s surprising that this perspective is completely lost on them. Companies should really reconsider who they place in these positions, as poor attitudes like this completely ruin what should be a simple, positive experience. Good luck to their futures with those badass attitudes. And it has nothing to do with where you work because I used to work at McDonald's as a teenager and I absolutely loved it and took pride in my work as a young adult. It is not the same and companies still needed. Respect that customers want respect when paying for their goods or services.

I order from here almost 1-2 times a week and everytime I order, the large fries are never to the top. It’s like putting a small fries in a large container. Please don’t be stingy who ever is working in the afternoon shift.

Be careful. Theft happened here by the employees. I ordered a $40 McD card from Amazon. When they went to use it, (an elderly couple who don't speak English well) they were told there was only a $6 balance on it. So not only was $34 stolen off the card, but they had to pay the rest of the balance for their meal.

everything is okay food is good the place is clean, only isssues are the tins if pan handers and they don't care if you say you don't have it they then start begging. I don't think anyone wants to deal with that when they are trying to eat. Maybe if they asked when you finished eating or before you start eating it would be different. Reason I am giving this only 1 stars is because.....well...you don't know how much any one item costs. There are literally no prices to be found anywhere!!! Take a look at the pictures, in my opinion this is not acceptable. Prices should be posted on all items being sold so you can make informed decisions.

Pastel de nata crust is insanely crispy, so many flaky layers, beautifully blistered tops. However their custard isn't so creamy, it's more eggy like a Chinese tart.

The worst coffee experience I’ve ever had. This was, without question, the worst cappuccino I’ve ever had. I understand it’s a Portuguese café, but a cappuccino is an internationally recognized beverage. It’s not about cultural differences—it’s about knowing how to make a basic coffee drink. A traditional cappuccino is made with 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, and 1/3 milk foam. It should never resemble a watery café au lait, and it definitely needs foam. What I was served lacked all the key elements of a proper cappuccino. When I politely explained to the staff that what I received was not a cappuccino, the employee responded with a poor attitude and no willingness to fix it. She insisted it was a cappuccino, and when I said I didn’t want it, she brought me the exact same thing again. Not only was the drink bad, but the customer service was worse. I won’t be returning. For reference, a proper cappuccino starts with a shot of espresso, followed by a small amount of steamed milk, and topped with a thick layer of foam. Simple as that.

Nice and cozy place staff is very friendly 😊 didn't stay long but had a good time. And let's talk about the sweet 😋 treats so many varieties and all look sooo good. I had a hot chocolate with almond croissant. Will definitely go back .

Everything about this place is great. The ladies who work behind the counter make you feel as if you have been coming here forever. They make great recommendations for coffee, espresso, or drinks as well. The bakery has baked goods and some sandwiches and enmapndas. All of which are fresh and have great portions. Please support local businesses they are truly the foundation of the community. This was very apparent here watching ppl come in and leave smiling and saying thank you see u next time. Perfect location to catch up with friends and people watch. It's situated on a corner so you watch the world go by as you sip your cafe con leche with two beef enmapndas 😁

Pao Da Terra is one of my favorite bakeries in New Jersey, they have a great selection of bakery and lunch menu. I love their coffee!! the tables are always clean. I love the Portuguese vibes in this place!!!

Best sandwiches or special ties they offer, familiar, eat in or out. Caribbean beverages, of great taste. Right across from these 2 places well known by the way, Cuba bakery, and Dr. Badillos office.

The cafe is small but can accommodate about 20 to 30 patrons much bigger than your typical cafe....very well maintained and clean ....excellent decorations and memobilia of the past years ...fresh made juice drinks and hot prepared food buffet as well as sandwiches and alla carte dishes to order. I've been here before about six years ago prices were less than but it's the sign of the times....some prices are reasonable some are slightly higher but the quality of food and portions are very good .To start I had for starter a cup of coffee with a (chicken empanada/pastelillo ) cause it was so delicious better than an empanada looked more like a pastelillo flaky crust stuffed with well seasoned shredded chicken ....A+ NEXT I ordered a Cuban sandwich ...WOW...on point delicious bread toasty inside the cheese was melting (nice cheese pull) flavors of the ham,pickles and pork (pernil) what was missing was the mustard not a traditional Cuban sandwich maybe they forgot to put it or maybe it must requested still was delicious....my only concern was the menu had no prices and the menu screen above displayed had no prices just have to take there world on it.i guess we are relying on the cuban honor system like in cuba different prices for different days or different customers ,this was suspicious ....TIP OF ADVISE put prices to make it a ligit establishment and 5 star review...another issue they have is beggers standing outside asking for money and one lady comes asking I paid for coffee and butter roll just to her to go back outside ...

Choose to dine in and non stop flies in your face. Food was cold and distasteful and smoothies were watered down even after asking for milk. Tables were sticky and full of gum, Wouldn't recommend!

I love the Cuban sandwiches from this place the bread is beautiful it's crisp and perfectly toasted, the ham tastes fresh and not like from a deli. Overall it's my favorite place to get a Cuban sandwich. They have a walk-up window that I usually go to and it's a slight language barrier I speak English they speak Spanish but we eventually figure out what I'm getting. It's a great place to stop in if you're in Newark

I’ve gone there twice, everything was all right , but the second time I got this tiny bagel. The bagels just keep getting smaller.

I've been to this location 2x, the first time I came to this specific Dunkin location I talked with the manager while I studied for my exams (cyber security) for 3 whole hours. Nobody bothered me nor did they say I had to make a purchase to stay. I'm aware and grateful to the manager for allowing this, because I understand that she could have made it very difficult for me. A heavy set white (I'm not sure honestly if this person is male or female) then interrupted me as I headed towards the bathroom and made a statement " I have to peeee" I explained it's fine u work hard go ahead I'll wait. She proceeded to go to the bathroom and after she left, I headed in and when I open the door a woft of sweaty salty sardine smell entered my nostrils, I almost vomited I proceeded to use the restroom and 3 mins in I hear a nock at the door saying I still have to pee. I expressed to the lady you'll have to wait until I'm done. She then keeps doing this for the whole 9mins I was in the bathroom. The second time I get the cops called on me for simply being in the bathroom for 14mins there's a video if you wanna check it out. Very rude and uncalled for she even lied and said I was washing my clothes in the bathroom.

probably one of the worst dunkin’s in the area. you have little girls with terrible attitudes at this place and the manager doesn’t seem to care. hire workers who can atleast make a decent coffee but no instead i’m waiting for my order to be taken while one employee is talking about her boyfriend in jail…. so i ask if she’s going to take my order or stand there and she has an attitude? i’m sorry let me wait and let you continue talk about a young man incarcerated!!!!! 👎👎

Everybody loves Dunkin’ and to be considered a great Dunkin’ you have to fix the structure of the driveway signs and after 12 years of damage and no repairs you just don’t care. Coffee was great!

I come to this location multiple times a day, the girls (Janissa and Tiffany) that work here are amazing, I don't even have to tell them what I want they start making my coffee the moment they see me. I'll GLADLY recommend this place to everyone.

Intrinsic Café is a beautiful cafe located in the heart of Newark, NJ on Sussex Ave. There’s plenty of seating inside, and even a patio area out back. The cafe is great for setting up your laptop or just enjoying a cup of coffee or pastry. The iced vanilla latte I had was very flavorful. The service is friendly and just overall good vibes.

Me and my wife now met here many years ago and this is a great meet up spot. The staff was very friendly and quick to greet us. The service was amazing and we loved our passion fruit and vanilla latte. Owner was really friendly as well she greeted us and welcomed us in. They have an outdoor patio space seating in the back.

Because of the pandemic, many small businesses are considering their next steps. When the opportunity presents itself, I try to support them any way I can. I stumbled upon Intrinsic Café in Newark, NJ, and I was so happy I did! Their front patio and open backyard space are cozy and inviting, great place to kick back and sip/eat your troubles away. They are accommodating in every aspect for this day in age: food selection, outdoor space, and service. These are fine qualities to possess in any business, even more so for a gem like this. Take some time to meet Wanny and Claude-Alix, the owner and manager respectively, of Intrinsic Cafe. They were wonderful, patient and always happy to see a friendly face. I used to like this place, but there’s a new couple working here, who sit at one of the customer tables during their down time and engage in excessive PDA. I wish there was a little more professionalism in this aspect and that such activities could be done in a more private/secluded area. Otherwise, it creates such an awkward, off-putting, and unwelcoming atmosphere for paying customers.

Simply horrible.. never come if u have car.. no air conditioning

They touch everything with and without their gloves and cook your food. I saw them do this on multiple occasions. The people without gloves and those with only one glove touch everything. The food is not bad, but I don't like that. You don't know if they wash their hands or what they touched before your food. Today, I saw a worker touch his clothes, the cutting board, the rag and the table with his gloves. The other worker made a tray and touched different some with no gloves. The other guy has on one glove and put steaks on the grill with the ungloved hand.

The food is pretty good, I tried the antipasto salad & the cheeseburger and it definitely filled me up. I would recommend if you are in the area looking for a quick bite.

It's ridiculous they won't serve you at 10:45 because they are preparing for lunch. They litterly ignore you. Even for ready made foods like egg salad. They should lock the doors. Close for the 30 minutes to prep. If you refuse to serve people. I'm never going back to Pronto. The foods no better than any other local diner. I'll go where the customer service is appropriate. Customer lost for life.

Favorite Breakfast/Lunch Place! As someone who's on campus most of the time throughout the week, it's tiring to walk far for lunch. This place was close to my campus and has great sandwiches and baklava! I always stop by here between classes because it's more affordable than my college's cafeteria food. They also have a few cakes and other pastries out by the register and the deli counters, which makes it easy to just take a little snack on-the-go! Very fast with orders, and nice and full sandwiches!

I ordered grits scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon. The grits were watery and tasteless. They put my eggs on top of the grits and I don't like my eggs touching my grits and They put the bacon on top of the eggs so it wasn't even crispy. They don't add any butter to the grits. They were too watery. Over the phone the manager did apologize and told me they don't season their food because everyone can't have season so I know I like seasoned food so I will not order from them anymore.

The empanada they sold me was from 2 or 3 days ago. It was greasy and the chicken was hard as a rock. The yuca in the soup tasted like old cheese and wasn’t cook through. The level of laziness this restaurant has gotten to is unacceptable and a slap to the face of Customers!

Called the night before to confirm that they have food ready at 6 am. The lady on the phone said yes! That since they open everything (breakfast and heavy food items) is ready. Went in at 7 am and they said nothing would be ready until 8:30 am. Waste of time

Years ago, they used to be 5 stars for me. HOWEVER, now it's less than 1 Star!! I USED to love this place when they actually cared about the quality of their food. I have NO IDEA what happened to this place. The beans tasted and were burnt, and the tostones were VERY cold. After explaining that they were cold, the waitress offered to fry fresh ones, and that's when we found out that the one we were given had been sitting out. Now, if you know you know! You have to eat tostones right after frying!!! After we mentioned that we were almost finished with our meal and that we weren't going to wait extra, she mentioned well there's no way I can take them off the ticket. Needless to say, if I didn't eat it, I won't be paying for it. After over 20 years of dining at La Farandula, I will never go again.

The food looks like it sits for a long period of time. The service is not pleasant. Except for the cashier. The restrooms were unkept. They need a host and new staff to make this place stand out. It is not sanitary over all.

I am extremely outraged by what I received from this place. First of all I ordered a platter of potato salad to feed about 15 people. According to them that would cost $90! Super expensive but unfortunately I needed it right away and I couldn’t find any other place that would do it same day. I sent my daughter in to pick it up and when she comes out they had given her this super small pan and I couldn’t believe this could feed 15 people. We get to the party and sat the tray down and when I opened the tray i literally had received a platter of carrot salad. There was huge pieces of carrot tossed with a few tiny potatoes and mayo. This was disgusting and i will never go there again.

I love coming here. The food is cheap and great. They are not stingy with the food and give you a lot so your getting food worth the money. This is the only place I’d go for any Dominican/latino food. The only thing I will say that other reviews are saying is that everyone speaks spanish, but what can you expect it’s a dominican restaurant, they aren’t going to speak only english.

There is Drive-through There is parking lot for 10 cars Located right in Broad Street Dining in Yes Open 24 hours Very clean and neat There is an unisex bathroom. Inside is very modern. It's holiday season now, so they have decorations which make you feel well and comfortable. Highly recommended

I meet a sweet lady there called Youma,she is the sweetest and really the best at what she does. She is really fast and always serves the right things. She the reason why I go to that this Dunkin.

I went in around 6:40 PM today Saturday 10/11/2025 and immediately noticed a female employee wearing a hijab sitting on the counter scrolling through her phone. This is both unprofessional and a clear health code concern. When I walked in, she glanced at me briefly, then went right back to her phone without greeting or offering assistance. After waiting for about a minute, I asked if I could place an order. She looked up, seemed annoyed, and said “yes,” but didn’t get up right away. After a few more minutes, she finally got up and helped me and then went right back to sit on the counter again. When I asked to use the restroom, she said it was “closed,” though there was no sign saying it was for employees only. The overall experience showed a complete lack of professionalism and respect toward customers. Staff are paid to provide service, not to sit on counters and treat paying customers as if they’re inconveniences or their peasants. This was a disappointing experience and not what I expect from any establishment. I hope management addresses this behavior appropriately.

I had donut with a coffee and tbh they were some of the best donuts from a dunkin ive ever had they were extra fluffy today (i ordered early in the morning)

At first this place was great. Now the donuts are always melted and they do not read the orders correctly. I can tell these are new workers.

I went here for a late night snack, ordered my food, & the manager caught an attitude because i wanted to use some of my reward points. I waited patiently & tried to give them a chance because a lot of people came around 9pm. I ended up waiting for 45 minutes 😒 & as it turns out the manager didn't even process my order regardless of the fact that i had a receipt 😑!!! I finally got my order and left the establishment only to realize they forget an order of fries when i got home!!!!! Worse McDonald's experience ever!!!!!!

They need more workers. This location is absolutely ridiculous! I order here often due to it being on my way to work and despite placing an order 10-15mins in advance, I get there and the order is not yet ready. I order on the mobile app every single time and it’s NEVER ready when I get there. Lines are always long and they move too slow. Food also taste spoiled sometimes & I found a piece of plastic in an apple pie once. Their computer system is down very often too. HIRE MORE PEOPLE! There’s no reason why they are so slow and you can tell they are overworked and tired.

Ordered a vegan burger (I even showed them on the menu) and got a quarter pounder with cheese :( I normally wouldn’t leave a review but I’m frustrated because I just wasted my time and money.

The trains may be upstairs, but this McDonald's makes the train wreck that happened in East Palestine, Ohio look like a nursery school. I have been been to many a bad food place in my day, but this one is definitely at or very close to the bottom of them all. For starters, when you walk in to make your order, what's supposed to resemble lines are more akin to a mosh pit with no sense of rhyme or reason. To add to that, many times you'll be witness to people cutting through the line, and/or hearing someone's explicative laden objections to such. Then as you look at the menu board, it's hit or miss because chances are the board is either out or completely devoid of prices listed. Even so, if there are prices listed, there's a better than 30% chance that at least one or more items will ring up higher than the price listed on the menu board (a violation of state consumer laws). After receiving your food, and shaking off the tenth person asking for money or food, you then proceed to find (or try to find) a table for some at least semi relaxing eating discourse. If you're fortunate to find a table, you can relax assured that your experience will produce only dyspepsia. For in the time it takes to ingest the food, the following will take place. You will have the pleasure (?) of seeing people engaged in the following activities: sleeping at, on, or even under the table, just sitting there staring into space neither eating nor drinking, just sitting around listening to some recording artist hurling monotone F Bombs at top volume, or being in the presence of someone while inhaling the acrid odor of cannabis derivatives on that person, all with an alleged security person or cop in sight. If that's your idea of a fun meal experience, bon appetit. For the rest of you normal human beings, keep a clear distance, and take your appetite somewhere else. You'll save yourself the headache and indigestion.

My wife and daughter went to Dunkin’ Donuts to get breakfast first thing the sausage was frozen then her coffee was filled up all way . Had to wait 15 minutes . I normally try to not write unfavorable reviews, however, hopefully by writing this the employee can learn about more efficient hygienic practices. I came to place an order, a coffee and a bagel. The woman who was going to prep my coffee, began boldly digging in her nose right in front of me at the cash register. Like the entire finger as she rimmed in her nostril. I immediately felt sick because if she's doing this right in front of me, what is occurring when customers are not around? I immediately left my order and went to another location. I normally make my own coffee, and will try to continue to do that.🤢 Restaurants need to stop being nasty.

I come here almost every morning because I work around the corner. Last night before the closed I stopped there to get donuts and accidentally left my phone in bathroom, went back around the corner but they had closed. I went back at 5 am when they opened and tracked my phone and it was there. When I got there the phone was cut off and their male employee was very stand off ish, but the two women were helpful. I tracked my phone and around 10:45 am I went back because the phone sent me a location notification that it was again back at Dunkin. I showed them and called the police. Kid behind the register nasty and jump to say something smart. Waited for 30 min and the police did not come and my break was over. Not even a couple mins after I left one of those same workers left the location and I was sent another notification. All in the same area. Very un trustworthy and very rude. I will never go back here again and I have been going to this Dunkin for almost 2 yrs.

Environment is very clean and tidy, and the food is also good. But I do not recommend coming to this place if you are having a bad day. Most of the time workers are lazy and mess up your order. But what’s even funnier is that they don’t like complaints. Overall I gave a 1 star because the service is horrible.

McDonald’s can really be a hit or miss! I’ve had both good and bad experiences here. The food is usually fine, but they never seem to put the correct sauce in the bag, so definitely double-check your order before leaving. I’ve also asked a few times for my chicken nuggets to be double-fried so they come out extra crispy, but they never do it, and I always end up having to ask again. Overall, it’s convenient and quick, but attention to detail could really be better, also there’s always homeless people asking for money and food it make it’s a little uncomfortable.

Jul 15, 2025 @815am Did a mobile order on the way to work with hubby. Both had moca frappe his was large and mine a medium. They were the same amount in two different cups. You can see they tried to add extra whip cream to fill it. When we asked them to add more the lady at the drive thru shrugged and said that's just how they come out. Left to go to work, please do better.

Placed my order at kiosk, pay at counter. Waited 25 minutes and the were 3 people in the lobby. I asked about my order after I waited 15 minutes and I was told "it's coming". Crew person asked me about my order after waiting 20 minutes, them she told me, I had to pay, which I already knew.

This use to be the breakfast spot for many years..Today I find out they fell wayyyy off with the food. They burned the home fries, the grits was so so thick 😩 😫..Eggs was not good , salmon cakes looked unrecognizable with no taste. The cook they have there been there for a long time for some new blood up there before them be closed for good.

Really love the food but last time I went in there… I saw an ant on the lil sandwich station while they preparing. I ain’t trip trip because ants are harmless. Not like it was a roach. I just figured they’d clean it and take care of it. It’s not the most clean looking place but you never wanna judge hood staples. When I got home I found said ant, alive and well on my burger. I threw it out. Didn’t say anything because it’s my fault, I saw that ant and tried to front. The prices are high like everywhere else. The taste is delicious. Yeah they got all those great products in there, yes. But they gotta get a handle on cleanliness. I will never step foot in there. StaffAllah.

My boyfriend went to pick up the order and was given the complete wrong order. The order is correct on the receipt but inside the bag is nothing I ordered. The bag was stapled so we didn’t know until we reached home. We can’t even call the store because the number on google and the number on the receipt is out of service.

Every time I come in, Mika is super friendly and has such a great vibe. She’s quick, kind, and always makes my coffee just right. You can tell she really cares about the customers. Love starting my day with her energy!

Recently I purchased a few things from here and the women who cooks the food kept asking the cashier if I paid for my food and did not give me my food. She didn’t give it to me and kept giving me a look. The cashier told her that I did 3 times and checked too. I didn’t like that and she made me feel uncomfortable. Today I found it weird that my order came out fast today (the same women who accused me of not paying).The hash browns that I ordered was stale salty and old. The reason I say it tasted old because when I ate one it tasted like mold. Disgusting! Never again will I be coming here. I stopped coming here for years and decided to give it a try again. I went to the place not because I needed to buy anything, but I made a purchase afterward so I could use the restroom, because it was an emergency. I know Dunkin' Donuts usually allows that. After I paid and had my order in hand, I politely asked a woman if I could use the bathroom. Her response was rude and unprofessional — she said, 'We don’t have a public restroom' in a very dismissive tone. I felt very uncomfortable with the way she answered me. The woman appeared to be of Indian descent. I found her behavior very unprofessional. She could’ve just said the restroom was out of order, instead of being so disrespectful."

This place is terrible. I was in line and the guy cashier just flat out ignore me and took someone else's order when I was in the line and went in the back and used his phone, luckily a lady saw me and took my order. This same guy made my bagel and cream cheese, but there was barely any cream cheese. It's a complete rip off. It's as if they're cutting corners on the cream cheese. I'll send a picture. This happen around 5am and it was only two people in that shift. I couldn't get there names, but it doesn't matter I won't be coming back. Overall the guy worker done a terrible job in customer service, the lady did a much better job than him.

Everytime I come to this place I order the same thing: $6 meal NO PICKLE NO ONION. I understand if you made a mistake one time but everytime I come to this store my sandwich has pickle and onion. It’s not fair giving my money for something I don’t like.

Got an uber eats order and the happy metal was missing. Ordered the mc chickens without mayo or lettuce and all of the had mayo and lettuce. How hard is to get an order right? This place always miss items or mess the orders.

I placed a breakfast Order before 11am for pick . Just because I arrived at 11 they told me they couldn’t make my order since breakfast is over . Why let me place the order on line pay for it , make me go there and tell me that . If that’s the case they shouldn’t allow anyone to put orders online after 10:30 to avoid going there for no reason . They do that so you can maybe change your mind and still buy something from them. I got my refund I’m not complaining about that part , but it’s not right to let anyone place an order before 11am online for pick up and when we get there day it’s to late . People do not order online breakfast in McDonald’s before 11am cause u will be getting a refund or buying something else from them that’s the way to catch people .

Spanish lady with an accent took our order, she kept interrupting asking "are you done?" And kept getting our order wrong because she was in a rush to make us leave, we asked her to repeat the order and she repeated it super quickly. I couldn’t remember why I always drive 15-20mins to Belleville or Bloomfield for McDonalds when this one is 2 mins from my house. Tonight I was reminded. The Manager which didn’t want to provide her name is rude, doesn’t know what she’s doing herself and doesn’t need to be managing anyone. The whole experience was chaotic I should’ve left when I thought it just during the ordering process(which the manager was taking drive thru orders). Support staff was nice and you can tell it was the manager messing up the whole flow. She is rude and incompetent. Food was also a disappointment. NEVER AGAIN!

I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this Dunkin location. I came in for walk-up service and stood at the counter for several minutes, not a single employee greeted me or even acknowledged that I was there. I could see several staff members in the back, but no one came forward to help. Eventually, one employee came out just to take the trash out and still didn’t say a word to me or offer any assistance. A customer, not even a worker had to speak up and tell the employee I was waiting, and the employee casually responded that someone else was supposed to be handling orders. At that point, after being ignored for so long, I gave up and walked out. It was incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. If your staff can’t manage basic customer service like saying hello or taking an order, then why are they even open? I will never return to this location and I strongly suggest others avoid it too until management steps up and starts holding their employees accountable.

I ordered via Uber Eats. Disgusting!!! I should have checked the reviews before ordering but I was hungry. I ordered the beef sausage and cheese which was good and only reason they get one star. Also order wings that should have been spicy, they were not! Just plain. Also order lamb and chicken platter. The chicken wings and lamb and chicken platter you can tell was last weeks food, I’m not exaggerating. The chicken though crispy tasted burnt and also tasted like there wasn’t any seasoning not even salt. The chicken in the lamb platter looks like left over meat that was warmed up in a microwave, because it was hard and had dark colored. Very disappointing. Not trying to get anyone out of business, the owner/cook/staff whoever you all need to do better. I had to give an update. Originally I posted “ Not trying to get anyone out of business, the owner/cook/staff whoever you all need to do better.” However I called the store to make them aware of the situation regarding the food and incorrect order and was told “We tried to correct the order but the order was already delivered” he then proceeds to tell me next time I order he will give me a free drink/soda I thought that’s good service (even though some establishments give a free soda with their platter) then as I’m throwing away the food I saw that all of the package which I originally thought was ketchup was actually all hot sauce (see picture) which indicated to me this was on purpose. The food was old, thay also had no intention of giving the correct order and as I’ve seen in previous comments it looks as if they do this all the time. This is now a health and safety issue and they need to be investigated not only for stealing from customers but for the safety of costumers.

Felt like a waste of time. Tried this place for a second time to give it another try, but ended up having the same results, the wait time was unnecessarily long (30 min) for 2 items. The vibes are plentiful especially if you’re a student or worker. They play a good mix of music from the early 2000s hits and have plenty of seats. The food menu is somewhat expansive because they offer multiple breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drink options.
