Fries was so good and the watermelon in the watermelon salad was very ripe. Burgers were gigantic and hard to eat. Service was super super slow though. Lots of out door seating all in the shade.

Such a great spot! The ricotta pancakes were amazingly fluffy and just sweet enough. The crispy chicken sandwich and fries totally hit the spot. Staff was nice even though it was packed, and the outdoor seating’s perfect for a sunny day.

We ordered the egg sandwich, the big breakky plate, and a latte. The food tastes good—nothing mind-blowing, but definitely something I’d come back for. The egg sandwich has a rich, cheesy flavor, and the tomato sauce adds a great extra layer. I especially liked the sautéed mushrooms on the big breakfast—they have a unique herbal/spiced taste that stands out. The latte was just okay. Brunch Vibes Worth the Hype! Had brunch with my cousin and let me just say, every bit of the hype is so well deserved. We went on a weekday around 11am, so it wasn’t too busy, which made it even more enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. That energy sets the tone right away! I’d read about the Ricotta Pancakes and had to see what the fuss was about, they did not disappoint. We also had the Grain Bowl with a side of steak and halloumi, and every bite was packed with flavor and texture. I don’t drink alcohol, but I love a good mocktail. “Waters of Life” was a winner—especially if you’re into bold ginger and turmeric flavors like I am. Best part? You can treat yourself without breaking the bank. Trust me, this spot is a gem. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Their brunch was decent. Overall pretty tasty although the fries too salty. Service was ok. Could be more attentive. The vibe was off. Very cramped and chaotic. Not a relaxing brunch. But we were seated inside. Maybe the outdoor seating is better. In conclusion: meh

five leaves was the first restaurant i visited on my first ever trip to nyc in 2017. ever since then coming back here has become a tradition. 8 years on and the spot is still just as warm and welcoming, albeit way more busy which is incredible to see because the place deserves to thrive. easily my fav spot in the city (i fully blame the ricotta pancakes). i haven’t been to nyc in years but coming back here today felt like coming home in so many ways. thank you cody for taking such great care of me and thank you everyone at five leaves for even making a tourist feel like a part of the community. 🫶 (also pls restock those tote bags, the nation needs them!!)

First visit to Sunday in Brooklyn (fittingly, on a Sunday). We grabbed an outdoor table for two right away — surprising, since I expected the place to be packed. The vibe outside was great on a nice day. What we ordered: • Cheddar Scramble – Eggs with Long Island home fries, multigrain toast, and avocado. • Sunday Pancakes™ – Hazelnut maple praline, brown butter (we went with a double stack). • I added an iced mocha (okay), and I skipped the OJ since it didn’t look freshly squeezed. The food? Solid but not mind-blowing. Scramble was fine, pancakes were sweet and indulgent, but overall it landed closer to a 3/5 than a “wow.” Drinks were passable. Why 4 stars instead of 3? Quick seating, outdoor ambiance, and the novelty of hitting Sunday in Brooklyn on a Sunday. Food wasn’t bad — just not destination-worthy. The service amazing. For 2 people they offered a 2 person table, outside or inside, they sat us right away. The food was Fast and tasted fresh. Eggs were done perfectly, soft scrambled, bacon crispy, potatoes were a little too salty, and the shakshuka was a little disappointing, like salsa with pouched eggs, but the bread was crisp and yummy when dipped into the bowl. However, the Sunday pancake was amazing. It’s was like a mini fluffy yellow cake with delicious buttered maple all over. not a maple taste but like a chocolaty buttery nutty flavor. “It was like a reward”. We enjoyed it the most. Overall we understand the hype and definitely recommend to try it for yourself.

Visited Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch and honestly, wow. We got the pistachio hummus with wood-fired flatbread — probably the richest, most flavorful meze I’ve ever had. A total must-try (and so generous we couldn’t even finish it!). Also ordered the warm grain bowl, and it arrived in what felt like 5 minutes — unbelievably fast service. The bowl itself was pure comfort: warm, rich, and beautifully balanced. The eggs were cooked like a soufflé — soft and melting — topped with a gigantic half avocado and a generous handful of pepitas (which I love and rarely see done this well). The rice underneath was so delicious. Finished with a cappuccino, served instantly in a lovely porcelain cup — the perfect touch to end brunch. Great find for brunch in Brooklyn! I’m visiting family in town and decided to meet my bestie who lives in Queens for brunch. We searched for breakfast spots nearby and found Sunday in Brooklyn because of its high ratings and appealing menu options. As a former brunch server, I first discovered shakshuka at my old restaurant and instantly fell in love with the robust flavors and perfectly runny poached eggs. While I’m usually an American breakfast type of person, I occasionally love to branch out and try something more adventurous. The Experience: • No wait time - we were seated immediately outside (wasn’t asked about seating preference, though I would have loved to sit inside and check out the interior decor) • Perfect for people watching while catching up with friends • Our server Cameron was overall kind and sweet, though he seemed a bit overwhelmed during busy moments and missed a few requests - had to ask the server assistant for help with some items • Small note: servers should introduce themselves by name (I had to ask for his name after ordering, as I like to greet people personally) What We Ordered: • Oat milk masala chai - delicious and beautifully presented • S’mores latte - gorgeous display • Shakshuka with extra homemade focaccia bread (needed every drop of that amazing sauce!) - loved it, though next time I’d skip the feta • Hazelnut praline pancakes and BLT for my friend The portion sizes are generous and satisfying. not many vegetarian options and the one we ordered that we were told is a good veg option actually had pork in it which was so disappointing. beet hot chocolate was yummy and fries were yummy. Vibes were also nice but as a vegetarian did not enjoy much

The pancake looks great.. until you take a bite and feel like you're swimming in sugar syrup. Sweet tooth or not, it's overwhelmingly sweet. The black coffee is not great either. On the bright side, the staff are nice and the vibe is great. wish the food matched the energy.

Really solid burritos. They’re balanced in flavor and huge! Also the corn salad was super nice alongside everything. We didn’t have to wait long but we also got there sorta early.

We heard great things about Ursula so we gave it a try. The main downfall was the wait and it took a bit to get our food. However, the breakfast burritos were very delicious and flavorful! I got the bacon and my husband got the other meat option. We also ordered the horchata tea but it was pretty watered down, we weren’t a fan. If you’re in the area and have time definitely order a breakfast burrito!

Came a long way for the Bacon breakfast burrito. Was just average. Really there was only a tiny piece of bacon in it, and it was falling apart and open at each end. Ps- I said it was good, because I was being nice. But, it really was very average if I’m being honest. To be fair, I’m from southern CA and we have some the best breakfast burritos in the world, imo. Ok this place is freaking amazing! The hype is real. The James Beard is real. The burritos are so affordable and delicious!! I had a michelada with sparkling water and omg the mix was magical! But what made it even better was the service. The manager was so welcoming and nice. The guy at the front helped me with my baby too. Love coming here. Wish I got the corn chowder

Service was painfully slow. We were seated about 15 after our bar reservation time, waited another 10 minutes for menus. Then after ordering, waitied 45 minutes for 1 sandwich and a pork hash. It was brunch on a Saturday, but still. The food was good, the service was friendly and atmosphere cute, but none of it worth sitting there with a couple of waters for the better part of an hour. Menu not quite exciting enough to draw me back for a second try.

Fantastic dining experience. Each meal is thoughtfully crafted using fresh local ingredients. You can tell that the chef has a personal connection to everything on the menu demonstrates mastery. I appreciated that the meals were simple and didn’t have unnecessary “fluff” - everything on the plate was intentional and had purpose. We tried 7 or 8 items from the menu and loved everything. Our favorites were the mussels, eggplant fries, and cured mackerel. Highly recommend and will be back.

This place is just not up to the standard I expected - I’m wondering how they got so many high reviews. Maybe for the neighborhood the food is slightly above decent but still, it’s not worth the cost of the quality and portion size. First off we had a reservation but had to wait outside for about 20 minutes because the previous table wouldn’t clear, this is fine but there should be a standard for seating duration. The food was mediocre and I’m being nice here. The focaccia was cold on the bottom and warm on the top. The fish fritters had a cold and weirdly uniform consistency. The half chicken was good but it’s just sous vide chicken with salt and pepper. I liked the yu choy, that was the only redeeming point of the evening. Our waitress gave us a dessert for the long wait which was nice but the whole evening was just disappointing. I highly recommend going somewhere else, there are better options in the area.

The staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The food delivered in taste and presentation, understated yet full of flavor. Pasta Mondays were one for the books-never have I had a doppio ravioli and it was perfect. Whoever the saucier is knows what they’re doing. Must get: frozen Negroni, jook, and pasta. Honest, non pretentious, clean and polished. We will definitely come back again and again ! Thank you chef and staff!

Every dish was amazing. One of those places where it’s hard to decide what to have. Very creative menu - delicious but also wholesome and lots of healthy / interesting ingredients. They also bake their own baked produce. Highly recommend!

I stopped by to pass some time before heading to a concert. Since my neighborhood mostly runs on a first-come, first-served basis, I didn’t think to make a reservation—but it turns out we needed one. The only available table was outside, and it was on the chillier side, though they did provide blankets, which helped a bit. Still, eating hot food in the cold has its challenges. We ordered a few dishes to share, as that seems to be their style, and the standout was clearly the sourdough bread. We ended up ordering it twice (a bit steep in terms of price, though)! The fish was pleasant and light, but for the price, it didn’t quite hit the mark in terms of portion size. We tried some vegetarian dishes, which were fine but nothing memorable. We skipped dessert, and honestly, it was nice, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way to revisit. For us, the value just wasn’t quite there. The server we had was great though.

I booked the private room at Leland Drinking House for my birthday with 25 guests, and the team delivered an incredible experience. From start to finish, the staff was attentive, organized, and made the entire evening seamless. The space was perfect for a group of our size, the service was professional yet warm, and every detail was handled beautifully so I could relax and enjoy the night. Food and drinks were excellent, and all of my guests left impressed. Highly recommend Leland for anyone planning a special event — they went above and beyond.

some of the best pancakes i have ever had in my entire life… i’m not exaggerating. we also got the reuben which was to die for. they bring special sides of butter (including strawberry butter) and the ambiance inside is that of the perfect, classic, breakfast diner (the way it should be). This is a great place to stop before going to BBG (that’s what we did)

Disclaimer: This is my personal experience. If something doesn’t go as expected, I always believe in giving the restaurant a chance to make it right. Most places will, and Tom’s definitely did. I stopped in craving something specific — an open-faced beef sandwich — even though it wasn’t on the menu. I asked, and they made it happen without hesitation. The beef was tender, layered over toast, and smothered in rich brown gravy. Total comfort food. Nothing fancy, just honest flavor that hit the spot. It’s the kind of old-school hospitality that makes you feel like more than just another customer. Major appreciation to the team for saying yes when they didn’t have to. Sometimes the best dishes are the ones made off-menu with a little heart.

Don’t be intimidated if there’s a line, there is a lot more seating than there appears to be. You should be in after 10-15 minutes tops. That being said, I ended up getting the Danish pancakes, I was expecting it to be a little cheesier, but I would liken it to a blueberry tart in pancake form. It was really good, I also got a strawberry milkshake which was good too. I would recommend splitting with someone if possible as they give a lot more food than you think you will get. I saw most people around me leave food on the plate, I know that is a good problem to have.

The best cinnamon roll pancakes I’ve ever had . Decided to visit here instead of IHOP super last minute and was such a wonderful choice . I dined in with my best friend and we had an amazing time. We didn’t spend much and the vibes were immaculate. The food was served fast hot and ready. 10/10

I love every time I eat at Tom’s. The staff is incredibly efficient and the food exactly satisfies the “classic diner” craving. We arrived around 2:30 on the Sunday, were sat at a table in 15 minutes, and our food came our way a little more than 7 minutes after we ordered !!! Saw the reviews and thought to give this place a try. I honestly felt the food was underwhelming. Two of us ordered the pancakes with fried chicken and my vegetarian friend ordered a side of eggs, potatoes and pancakes. All of the food was severely under seasoned, all of us were adding lots of salt and pepper on everything. The fried chicken wasn’t crispy but it was juicy and I felt it was a good portion size, one nicely sized boneless piece of chicken for each pancake. The creme that came with the pancake was very tasty as was the mustard syrup. The pancakes were fluffy. Two if us had the house cocktail rum punch, which I felt was on the weaker side, overpriced at 14 dollars. Would’ve tried another drink had they come to our table and ask before we all were fully done with our meals. The service was okay. Friendly as we entered and were seated but they don’t check on you after the food is delivered. Food came fast which was nice, the restaurant overall was pretty empty. Outdoor and indoor seating available as well as a patio I believe.

First and foremost, the food here is amazing. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes with mixed berries. These pancakes were fluffy, buttery and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The berries and cream on top made it even better. I can rave on about these packages, so good. On the side I had 2 eggs scrambled with cheese and it was softly scrambled and just the right amount of salt. We had the homemade gingerade which was tasty and refreshing. Now to the service…it was subpar. Our waiter never introduced himself. He came over and asked what we wanted to drink no greeting at all. We put in our order to drink and sat around for more than 10-15 minutes waiting to place our order. When he did come around the area he took the order of the table beside us who were seated 20 minutes after us. He did not ask if we were ready first. Some time passed and the table beside us got their food and the fired chicken smelled really good, so I called the waiter over to place an order. My friend also placed another order for the gingerade. Then, we got our meal and when I got to my last pancake I saw the waiter walking over to the table with the bill, but he then turned back. Almost 5 minutes had passed of finishing my pancake and the waiter swiftly came over to place the bill on the table and walk away. We wanted to use Apple Pay so he stopped to tell us go over to the bar to pay. When we looked at the bill it had an item called “open food” included in the total that was $8. We assumed it was the fired chicken we never got. I called him over and he said “I can remove it from your total.” There was no option of waiting for the chicken I had ordered 30 minutes ago, he just offered to take it off the bill. I was really disappointed because I did want to try it and I ended up just saying okay. He brought a new bill over we paid and left. The host was kind and did a great job checking in everyone Atmosphere: today was one of the hotter days in Brooklyn, but the inside of the restaurant was extremely hot. Other costumers were fanning themselves or using a handheld fan as well. I noticed an overhead fan by the bar but none where costumer were sitting. As I continued to eat I became increasingly hot. I think it’s best to sit outside if you are heat intolerant

its been a while since ive ate at a spot that hit every mark on the food. I was able to enjoy their dinner menu with the fried calamari with chili sauce which was crispy, seasoned and served with their scotch bonnet hot sauce. The jerk roast pork bowl was delicious with tender pork and pickled carrots and onions (I wish there was more!!). And we finished with a brownie sundae and by the end of the meal I was stuffed and I had leftovers. I def want to come back to enjoy their brunch menu!!

Cute brunch spot. It’s very crowded on the weekends. Food was pretty good - I liked my pancakes and waffles but friends gave mixed reviews on the other dishes. They were a bit understaffed and didn’t bring out our drinks until after we had received our entrees.

Cheryl’s Global Soul truly feels like a second home to me. Cheryl and her amazing team Ennio, Marco, Raphael, Kelly, and Damien always make the atmosphere warm, welcoming, and consistent. The vibe is diverse but tight-knit, like a real family. My go-to order is the Cajun wings with chipotle mayo, fries, and a rum punch absolute perfection. The “Brooklyn” cocktail pairs beautifully with the blackened catfish, mac, and sautéed spinach, which is my close second favorite. Rounding out my top three is the chicken bowl, a solid everyday option. Great food, great people, great energy I can’t recommend this place enough. Delicious food (we got pancakes with berries and the chicken sandwich.) You must try the scotch bonnet hot sauce. My only criticism is that service is slow - over 30 min for plates and over 10 minutes for them to run my credit card. Very kid friendly. They have outdoor seating in front and in the backyard.

Very delicious food, coffee, and service. The place was packed, yet the service was very attentive and fast serving. I highly recommend their carbonara pasta and the French toast. I do not recommend their white sangria, which was more like sparkling water with citrus flavor.

Loooved this place. They had a nice atmosphere and the food was amazing. We did the bottomless brunch (which not many places do on a weekday) which is 60minutes. On the 60 minutes we got at least 7 drinks each, the service was so good, we got refills immediately. The food was excellent. The outdoor seating area in the back has a retractable roof so they can adjust it if there is too much sun.

I was actually enjoying my food ordered through Uber Eats until I pulled hair out of my food, the spinach to be precise. I called just to relay and offer advice to a manager, however the person who answered did not let me speak to one or failed to identify themself as a manager if they were one. I was offered a discount on a future order, however I refused as I don’t see myself ordering again. The food was tasty and if the hair wasn’t there, I would’ve definitely been a repeat customer. Hope better food prep is done in the future to avoid this happening again to anyone else.

I'm writing this review with only having visited one time. This is not typical for me. The calamari was so ridiculously delicious, I had to put the good word out. I am very weary of ordering calamari anywhere. It's always just the rings often purchased frozen from restaurant suppliers. This calamari is simply divine and melted in my mouth. It's a must order. Looking forward to coming back for another meal. Other notes- service is very friendly and attentive. Prices, particularly for this neighborhood, are good.

Came here with colleagues for a business dinner. It was fantastic. All of the food was delicious and they had a great wine and cocktail menu with mocktails too. I got the gnocchi pesto and it was cooked to perfection. The waiters are very attentive and the service was fabulous. I would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed how I was welcomed as I enter the diner. I also wasn't sure about the wine and was allowed to sample two kinds. Jerry is very pleasant, patient and accommodating. He made sure everything was up to par. The food is delicious! Kudos to the chef. You can order anything on the menu at anytime of the day. I will be returning to try something new.

Highlight is the outdoor seating & they’re open 24-hours! Great affordable diner food in the heart of NYC, quick walk from Prospect Park & not far from trains. Staff were attentive & the food was great. Those pancakes were HUGE, giving Big New York energy! There are booths inside and they have a pretty robust menu.

Stopped in for lunch while in town visiting family. I had a delicious Cuban sandwich with fries. And my husband loved the pulled pork. Our son and my brother enjoyed breakfast options that also looked delicious. Very happy with portion sizes and the food was great. We were happy with all the choices available on the large menu. The absolute best diner I’ve been to in New York! I love to come here late night after a party but it’s also great in the daytime for breakfast lunch or dinner! Been to Golda many times for breakfast/lunch and finally getting around to review it after another visit today. I will say the chicken sausage egg sandwich is amazing. I’ve tried the signature one with just egg and stuff…but the chicken sausage one still is my fav. Their different latte styles and pastries are very good too!

This is actually my fourth time coming to this brunch spot, and I feel so happy because they treat us the way we should be treated. I feel safe, just like in all of New York, since I’m Latino and my spouse is American. We come here to eat, and we’re respected and feel at home. The food is delicious, the service is absolutely amazing, and the coffee is divine. The coffee pitchers, the plates, that Mediterranean touch is spectacular, and I think there’s a bit of a Russian influence, but I’m not sure if I’m right. I love it. The people are very kind, the tables are great, everything is clean and delicious, and the flavors are incredible. I highly recommend it. Cute little cafe/coffee spot. While the decor inside is really nice, I do feel like they could refresh it a bit, and maybe not cram as many tables and barstools. My avocado toast with squash and chili crisp was so good. The breakfast plate was good, but the potatoes were a bit over spiced. So excellent, truly. Very dedicated to their coffee with mindful preparation, amazing ceramics from a local producer, and such a pleasant and thoughtful design. Very high attention to detail, a place for community and conversations. I didn't even try their food offerings which looked stellar, people eating next to me had effusive praise. The owner is hands on. So pleased!

While seemingly pricey for a pub, this place understands the assignment and should be among your favorites in the area. The servers are always the same hard working guys, attentive and well coiffed. The food is generous, the portions echo that this is indeed a pub. I have shared this turkey sandwich with friends and lovers alike, $26 divided by 2, making it a very reasonable date out, with a nice cold milk stout or IPA. This place has given me new appreciation for milk stouts actually. When someone mentions shoe string fries to me, these are the first that come to mind. They are my baseline for all other shoe string fries. The cocktails are all about 16, still reasonable for the area, though in my opinion a side act for the rest. Except the Bloody Mary, she’s a show stopper. And the entire experience is riding on the back of the interior space, very prancing pony meets ye old Brooklyn, dark wood and old wallpaper. I’m very fond of the sink, I wonder how many decades it’s been there. I recently tried the bone marrow toast, I ate it all myself but it was definitely meant to be shared, I was so thrown by the quantity. In a landscape of bright new shiny establishments nickel and diming you for everything including fries these days (you know who you are), Henry Pub is an oasis. I have read at the bar and dined alone, had dates at the little round tables in the front, brunched outside in the summer, and met friends for pints in the tavernous back room. All wonderful experiences that keep me coming back.

I thoroughly enjoyed Henry Public, and am glad my nephew who lives in Brooklyn and niece who used to live there took me to Henry P. The old pub atmosphere is charming, with its old wooden floors and the long table we sat at next to a large window as the winter daylight waned and the wait staff brought lit candles to our table. Great atmosphere…. I appreciated the quick way in which staff made up a long table out of two smaller ones for our large family group, and how quickly our orders were taken and food brought. We were there mid-afternoon when only a brunch menu was offered, and it was fairly limited. Everyone in the group had cheesburgers and french fries except for me. I had deviled eggs and red cabbage slaw, both of which were good. I snitched fries from my niece's plate and thought they were great, thin and crisp. On a cold, darkish December day in Brooklyn, Henry Public was a great place to sit down and enjoy some nibbles, a glass of wine, beer – a real neighborhood place with pretty good food and inviting comfy atmosphere. I regret that I did not think to take photos other than the one below.

One of my favorite places for a date night or to bring friends who are in town. Great cocktails and beer (they have Other Half on tap). Burger is must order as are the oysters. Brooklyn main stay, highly recommend.

Old school joint that feels like it’s right out of 1899 with wooden floor boards and a dim, candle lit interior. The bone marrow and burger were solid but the real standout was the turkey leg sandwich. It’s two thick pieces of toast piled high with succulent turkey meat that is perfectly cooked.

We sat at the bar for food and drinks. Our bartender was attentive, great at making drinks, and was friendly. The food was a bit overpriced. I usually don’t drink alcohol but the “two cents fancy” was my cup of tea (or rather, alcohol); it was carbonated, slightly sweet, and not bitter. My partner had two other drinks that he enjoyed. We got the cheese sandwich, bone marrow toast, and the Wilkinson for dessert. The cheese sandwich came with fries and had sharp cheese and apple slices in it. The bone marrow toast came with a mix of parsley and shallots. The bone marrow wasn’t as flavorful as I was expecting, but the shallot mix helped give the flavor boost it needed. The Wilkinson was a dessert consisting of fried balls of dough that came with a rum-caramel sauce that should have came with a warning about how hot the sauce was. Besides burning my tongue, it was good (though I’ve had better fritters before). The oysters were my favorite part of the night - not too salty, but with three different stages of flavors, starting with a mild note, transitioning to a more savory taste, ending with a seafoody flavor.

Knowledgeable staff, excellent food, and exquisite cocktails! Even a near decade later, it’s as good as remembered

When you first walk in to HP, you assume its a chill laid back place thats prob gonna serve ok food and drink- you know a comfortable place where you can just chill. It's a chill laid back place for sure but soooooo much more. Drinks and food was excellent, done really well. The bartender knows his stuff! best drink I have had in a while! My GF really loved our time here and will return.

It was my first time dining at a vegetarian restaurant, and I was truly impressed! The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and beautifully presented. My favorite dishes were the fried mushrooms, carbonara spaghetti, and for dessert, the pistachio brownies with pistachio ice cream — all so delicious! The staff were super friendly, and the drink I had was just as great. Such a memorable experience that changed the way I see vegetarian food. I’ll definitely be back!

I was really excited for this meal since the place is fully vegetarian/vegan, but I wasn’t too impressed even though the pancakes were pretty good. The interior could be nicer and cleaner since the table, seats, and floor were all kind of dirty, so I wasn’t able to fully enjoy my time.

This spot is definitely Instagram-worthy, and the plate presentation was amazing. I really enjoyed the hummus. However, the burger and pizza were a bit greasy, which was a letdown. It's a shame when the food at such a great-looking place doesn't quite meet the high expectations

I absolutely love The Butcher’s Daughter. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I am very passionate about plant forward dishes made with Whole Foods and good for you ingredients. The Butcher’s Daughter makes food that is exploding with delicious, unique, and also classic flavors, while using only the highest quality of ingredients, and it shows. The food tastes amazing and makes you feel amazing. We got the Buckwheat Pancakes and they were truly the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life. Flavor and texture were incredible and they were perfectly paired with fresh berries, coconut whip and real maple syrup. The Mediterranean bowl had an excellent green tahini sauce, and the pastry sampler allowed us to try 3 pasties for $10 and came with the most fresh jam! I love their fresh juices, especially the juice flight!!! They have an amazing cacao reishi mushroom elixer I love. Excellent kale Caesar! I want to try the whole menu. This time though the pancakes stole the show. SO GOOD!!!! Love this place so, so much. And the VIBES, immaculate!

A great spot for anyone who enjoys healthy food. The dishes were flavorful and made with quality ingredients! I’d gladly come back for another meal

We ordered our food at the smaller branch, and with the supervisor’s permission, we moved to the larger one next door. Unfortunately, the staff member with arms tattoos and cap at the big shop was extremely rude and spoke to us disrespectfully in front of everyone, even though we had permission to move. Very disappointing experience — such behavior is unacceptable and ruined what could have been a pleasant visit.

The food was amazing. I had the country breakfast. Only criticism I had to say is the impossible burger was dry. The kale was perfect! The buckwheat pancakes was good. Texture was great. They have to do a better job with the pizza. The crust was soggy but the taste was good. The vitality elixer was good with a nice ginger and lemon punch 🥊. Our waiter, Erick, was attentive, professional and great. The ambiance is beautiful. It was a great experience. Happy Father’s Day.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Le Crocodile yesterday, and it was nothing short of outstanding. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between sophisticated and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a special evening. Every dish we tried was remarkable. The escargot was delicious. The gnocchi dish was mouthwatering and delicate with elevated flavors. The steak and frites were classic yet flawless — perfectly cooked and seasoned, with crisp golden fries that we couldn’t stop picking at. The duck pâté was rich and silky, a true highlight that showed off the kitchen’s skill. To finish, the crème brûlée was a dream — crackly, caramelized top giving way to a creamy custard that was the perfect sweet ending. Service was equally impressive: attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely warm. Le Crocodile is a gem — a restaurant that delivers on every level: food, service, and ambiance. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

5 stars all the way. This has been my best dining experience of 2025 so far. I was in town for a business and walked in early with no reservation. I ordered the mushroom entree followed by the steak with pepper sauce and fries. Had a great glass of red wine as well. The waiter was very attentive and the food was nothing but spectacular. The steak was perfectly cooked. I liked the fact that the steak was accompanied by a lot of gravy. Unlike other restaurants who only serve a tiny bit. The bread was absolutely to die for. The french fries were one of the best I have had my entire life. And that saying something coming from a Belgian guy. The mayonnaise was quite spectacular with a tangy flavor. What a beautiful experience. I will be back when I’m in town again.

Le Crocodile was fantastic. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. The menu is unique. I tried certain dishes I’ve never had before like steak tartare & mushroom pate. Both were incredible. Entree I got the bistro steak frites, it was good not great but tried the roast chicken from my friend it was delicious. My other friends got the duck breast and really liked it. The sticky banana date pudding was so good didn’t last more than 30 seconds on our table hahah. Will definitely be returning to this spot! Great place for a date or dinner with friends

Phenomenal dinner experience in a trendy but approachable atmosphere. The service here is wonderful, I felt very well taken care of and I appreciated their seriousness with food allergies. The food was delicious— I especially loved the oysters and their chicken was stand-out. I was surprised at their portions, they were much bigger than expected. Come here for a nice date night or small group! I’m looking forward to my next visit.

First off, the aesthetics are very Brooklyn. Large windows, brick walls, mixed with high end elegance. The servers were all so nice and highly informative and helpful! The food overall was immaculate. I had the roasted chicken as my entree and it was extremely juicy and moist with a yummy aioli. To end it off we had the banana date pudding which was PHENOMENAL. I couldn’t stop thinking about it after we left.

You guys made our special night unforgettable. From the warm welcome to the flawless service, every detail was handled with care. Dave, Sam, and Debra went above and beyond to support my proposal; their kindness, patience, and attention were unmatched. we had such an amazing experience at le crocodile. the service was impeccable, the food was delightful and we will definitely return. what we ordered: the piquillo pepper and anchovies, waldorf salad, filet au poivre and the off-menu mushroom risotto. throw in a side of fries and there were no misses! and to top it off, the sticky banana date pudding and cinnamon ice cream that our server threw in just because! and the prices won’t have you questioning your life choices. this has been one of my favorite dining experiences in the city as of late … 10/10, would recommend!

bit hesitant to try given it was a local chain however, it lives up to the name. had the pork roll which is a bacon, egg and cheese and the bacon is essentially crispy and the roll was basic brioche bun but overall had good structure and doesn't disappoint for 12 bucks. it was okay but The vibes are nice in there and sandwiches. good

Consistently good sandwich spot, great for breakfast or lunch. I have the turkey delight every time. It’s turkey and Swiss with coleslaw and comeback sauce. I love a turkey sandwich and this one is delicious. Good quality turkey and love the addition of coleslaw instead of just dry greens because it’s very flavorful and saucey. It is on the more indulgent side but very good. I add mustard for some tangy relief from the rich sauce. The only downfall is the price. For two sandwiches we paid over $40. It’s conveniently located in a great neighborhood.

$40 after 2 sandwiches, a soda and a drink. Use to love this place but it’s no longer affordable. Back to the bodega for a Sammy it is!

I’ve been a regular for the past 5 years, but unfortunately my latest sandwich will be my last. The staff are friendly and the bread is fresh. But there has been a notable decrease in the amount of meat and ingredients included in each of the several sandwiches I order. Sometimes it is passable, but multiple recent orders have been bare.

The Droopy sandwich was very good but I knew when I picked up the bag and it weighed 2 ounces, I was gonna be disappointed. For $18, I was expecting a hefty sandwich that I could eat in two sittings but this thing was gone in 5 minutes. The sandwiches are very good with great ingredients but extremely light for a hero.

We went in the middle of the week at lunch time, so it was no busy at all we were very lucky(every time we walk by it is very busy). First time being here and I was very impressed with all the options of bake goods, products and the extensive menu. I order the cubano sandwich and it was good all the flavors where there but for me it was a little salty and it had to much sauce, so it is very messy to eat be aware of that. I think I’ll go back to try other things from the menu. They have outdoor and indoor seating (big space). All the staff was very friendly!

People rave about CSG, but after eating it consistently for 5 years, I’d say it’s really gone downhill. Their menu has gotten smaller, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing- if they were doing the sandwiches they had really well. But everything is pretty basic, with an exorbitant amount of mayo, or whatever sauce is on the sandwich. You have to eat the sandwich immediately or the bread disintegrates in the moisture. After my previous sandwich Idt I’ll be ordering from CSG again.

Came for brunch and it was pretty good. Will definitely come back. The ginger cocktail was really good. Loved the hash browns. The shakshuka was okay - felt like it could have been a bit richer in flavor and thicker in consistency but it was still enjoyable. Best brunch I've had in this neighborhood. The server was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Visiting Brooklyn, we were in the mood for brunch and stopped by Bonafini, an Italian spot. Even though it's primarily Italian, that didn't matter -- we went straight for American brunch classics. I had the pancakes, which came with blueberry compote, Greek yogurt, and hazelnut spread. My dining partner went for what I believe was the Sicilian Shakshuka -- tomato and vegetable stew, olives, bread, and eggs. The pancakes were solid: just the right amount of maple syrup. They were a little on the dry side, but still tasty, helped along by what seemed like Nutella or another chocolate-hazelnut sauce. Not mind-blowing, but satisfying and definitely hit the spot. Overall, a pleasant brunch -- we left full and happy. I'd be glad to come back the next time I'm in Brooklyn. Last visited: August 23, 2025

Great pizzas. Went during the in-between meal so the menu was more limited than I would've liked but that's understandable. They don't start dinner until 5 fyi. Our server was also very kind and friendly. We had some time to chat about our pets, which I always love.

It’s a very cozy (romantic) setting. The food was amazing and overall I think it was very affordable. Definitely would recommend and would go again!

Came for brunch and started out with a red wine and Bloody Mary. My wife said Bloody Mary was done correctly. Also pictured is Italian grilled cheese. Spectacular! Our server was da bomb!!

Almost everything about this place is great. The food is delicious and filling. The natural light fills the restaurant beautifully. And our server Ann, was excellent, affable and checking in on us regularly. At first we were sat in a table in the very back looking at the storage space, but other seats opened up that gave us a real view of how nice the restaurant can be.

Nice cafe with great Brekky and brunch menu. Coffee is good but cups are a bit small. The tomato soup and cheese toastie is very tasty as is the Avo toast. A few too many people sitting in a single coffee pretending to work on laptops taking up seats. Worth a visit for the food.

More like 3.5/5. Service was mid and everyone who worked there acted like they were too cool to work. Very LES. Food was good but not worth the wait. Coffee was yummy though! If you’re a tourist skip this spot because there’s far better in the East Village.

The food was extremely bland and painfully underwhelming. It’s not worth it to eat at a restaurant if I can go to the groceries and get the same thing. Wait time was long for food that was literally cold and undercooked. It also came with a plain half tomato??? Which I thought was weird and added nothing to the dish, I wondered why they didn’t just chop it up and put it in eggs or smth. I love tomatoes but not that much to receive a large side of it.

Me and my girlfriend’s new favorite spot when we come to NYC. Food was absolutely amazing, coffee was some of the best and the staff was super nice and welcoming. 10/10 recommend every time. We got the breakfast plate with the rosemary hashbrown I think it’s called and we ate the whole plate. It was amazing.

For espresso drinks, Sunday to Sunday is tops, especially when Ralph is at the helm steaming the milk. Look at his swan, rosetta, and stacked tulip! I highly recommend! I’ve been coming here for years. It’s an Orchard Street watering hole.

The food here is good. Slightly overpriced imo, but it is good. I would want to eat it again. However, the service here is horrendous. Among the worst I have experienced. The staff was not rude, but it was as if we were completely invisible and ignored. It took a very long time just to have someone take our order. After sitting and sitting and waiting with only cups of water, we actually had to call someone over to tell them we would like to order. And then the food took what felt like an eternity to arrive. It must have been at least 40 minutes, if not longer than that. (It was so long that we remarked to each other, how we should have just done the hour long wait for the table at the place across the street) No one came to check on how we were. Even getting the check took longer than necessary. But the food is good.

This place is always my go to. Love to sit here and catch up with a friend. The outside seating is my favorite to people watch and have a coffee or tea. Their baristas are so goood. Also a great place for a little glass of wine!

I was missing the pastries from the baker who was previously at Terms of Endearment and was pleasantly surprised to find she is here now!! My new go to spot as I missed her various types of croissants so much (I had the pistachio one and it was incredible) and the staff working were so nice and helpful. yay!

Truly delicious specialty lattes, the Salted Maple and Cookie Butter lattes were incredible. The Vegan BEC croissant was so savory and salty, it was a much needed breakfast treat! The interior is so bright and fun, and filled with amazing smelling candles, pet treats and vegan specialty grocery items.

My hubby and I were looking for something vegan to eat late night and came upon this spot. Guevara's is in the heart of Williamsburgs Southside, which has definitely come a long way. The place is super cute, and the vibe is super chill! The staff and owner are very friendly and it's easy to see why this place is so popular. Atmosphere, location and service were top notch, but the vegan food sad to say, not so good! The cauliflower wings and chili cheese baked potato looked like slop. The Tortas melanesa was kind of all over the place, stacked very high, and was very messy. The flavors were overpowering and all over the place. I would rethink the menu. Sorry to say, the food was not worth the price!

Small spot for vegan pastries and drinks! Limited space but you can sit at the bar that is connected with. Slightly pricy in general. Im not vegan but their pastries were good surprisingly. Coffee menu was outstanding and creative as well. 🧁✨Gingerbread coffee muffin was delicious than my expectations! It was moist in the middle and crunchy on the top. The flavor was good and no oily smell. Croffle was a little bit oily for me, but the texture was good. Drinks were good as well, coffee from Oslo with their special flavors. A little bit pricy tho.

A gusty waterfront belies a friendly experience with astonishing variety. The most important thing to know is to take a quick left to visit the vegan bakery; the shops most exceptional feature and a prized emerald. I met Andrea there who shared lore about the local and house made all vegan culinary creations that I could take. This is a superb place to pick out a gift. Get two though because the first may not make it home. Otherwise the audio is decently done despite the reflective environment. Full upbeat rhythms without being overbearing because its not distorted. So someone thoughtfully engineered the experience. The bottomline is that most people will feel warmed here and likely take something special home with them.

This place is a VIBE ✨ Wanted some good vegan food/coffee while exploring Brooklyn and stumbled upon this place. Super cute, beautifully decorated & loaded with plants- this place was wonderful. Loved the fun color aesthetic! Staff was super welcoming & kind. What I got: Iced latte- strong coffee with oat milk. Was delicious Egg/cheese breakfast empanada- wow! Soooo good! Deliciously warm & crispy. Loaded on the inside. Came with dipping sauce that was bomb. Donut- I don’t remember the name of the donut but it was amazing. It was massive. Like sooooo big. Delicious vegan cream cheese “frosting” with a sweet jam on the inside 🥹 This place was a wonderful surprise & I am so glad I stopped in! They also have a nice selection of vegan goodies to go!

We had a nice early dinner here on our trip to the city. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is everything you’d expect. The food was great but did not quite live up to the expectations. We ordered the steak frites, gougeres, onion soup, ravioli, and short rib. Of the meal we would recommend the steak frites—the fries were amazing! The onion soup is also a must-order. The short rib was a bit dry. One thing to be mindful of when dining here is the proximity to neighbors, they really pack everyone they can get in here. Overall, would recommend going to cross it off the list.

I went to Balthazar on a Monday night and had such a great experience! I was seated right away and my server, Madeline, was super kind and attentive. She offered me a complimentary mocktail as soon as I sat down — it was originally a champagne, but since I don’t drink, she happily swapped it for a ginger mocktail, which was really good. This was my first time at Balthazar, and everything I ordered was amazing — the French onion soup, steak frites, profiteroles, and coffee. The soup was rich and flavorful, my steak was cooked perfectly (medium well, just right), and dessert was the perfect finish. Service was excellent — Madeline checked on me at just the right times, and I never had to look around for her. Everything was delicious, and I left super happy with my experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Great atmosphere and vibe. Amazing service and a must do if visiting NY. Food is your classic style French bistro food. I Booked well in advance or be prepared to wait 1-2 hours for a seat if you try a walk in.

We had a lovely early dinner here during our city trip. The staff were super friendly, and the vibe was warm and lively. The food was delicious—especially the truffle fries and onion soup! The short rib could’ve been a bit more tender, but overall everything was great. Tables are a little close, but that’s part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit!

Our plane back to NY was delayed so we cancelled our reservation and ended up at Balthazar at 11p on a Wednesday. The dining was lively and mostly full when we arrived. We were seated I a 2 top, corner booth that was perfect, and very comfortable. I ordered a gin martini that was served ice cold. My wife and I split the endive salad (I love the pickled pears), a cheeseburger with fries delicious), haricot vert (perfectly cooked and so fresh) and a caramelized and bruleed banana tart (gorgeous and excellent). When we left, well after midnight, the bar was still crowded with patrons enjoying themselves and bartenders who weren’t trying to rush them. What a nice and fun night! Thanks Keith. Also, I really enjoyed your book.

We always make a stop here when we visit NYC and it never disappoints. Whether you order the burger, mussels, Mac and cheese, croquet madame - you can’t go wrong. And leave room for dessert!

I’ve been coming here for 20 years. I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this before but always solid solid food! Great for breakfast, brunch lunch or dinner! It’s also easy to grab a seat at the bar.

Pro tip: when you walk in, be sure to take a number—they’ll call it out when it’s your turn to order. The place has a charming old-school interior that gives off classic New York vibes, which adds to the experience. They offer a variety of sandwiches, bagels, spreads, and smoked fish options. I ordered a salmon bagel with a few extras and ended up paying around $20. While the atmosphere was cool, the bagel itself was quite small and didn’t justify the high price—especially since we've had better, more satisfying salmon bagels elsewhere in NYC for less. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, and I wouldn’t go back—there are better bagel spots in the city that offer more value and flavor.

Got a poppy seed bagel with lox and scallion cream cheese (also had onion, tomato, and capers). This was my favorite bagel on the trip and the reason was mainly the cream cheese. It was so light and mild tasting i felt like I could eat a tub of it ans feel fine. The lox was also amazing too though. The sandwitch was just perfectly executed. I wish the in store experience was a little better though. The store become a mess when it gets crowded so plan to go at a slightly odd time for a smoother/faster experience.

My brother was told about this place. Absolutely loved it. Felt like a slip back in time and you can tell this place is not only, take care of and respected, but also has quality staff that put love and attention to your order. We split the classic bagel and lox. Best bagel I have ever had in my life. I truly wish I could eat this everyday. 10/10

Stopped by Russ & Daughters and it’s easy to see why it’s such an iconic spot. The fish quality really stands out — fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. You definitely get a lot for what you order, which makes it feel worthwhile. The classic bagels and spreads complement the fish perfectly, and the whole experience has a timeless, authentic New York feel. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-notch smoked fish and traditional deli vibes. We were able to eat right in front of the store, where there is a couple benches available.

The best bagel I had in NYC. Soft and chewy toasted bagels, freshly sliced gravlax lox, scallion cream cheese with capers, onions and tomatoes. Is there anything more quintessential bagel-ly than that?? Take a ticket when you enter and listen closely for them to call your number. Even when there's a lot of people in the store, the line moves fast.

Very good place to get a cream cheese bagel and they are generous. There is a ticket system when you enter and you have to grab a ticket to be served and service is pretty quick. It’s not the best I had as it’s maybe hyped up to be, but certainly very solid. Feels like a commercial lineup with the ticket system rather than personal old style bagel shop.

Lived in New York most of my life (currently in Vegas) and it it wasn’t until this very day at 40 years old did I try the famed Russ and daughters bagel. Is it the best bagel? No. But looking at it as a complete sandwich with all the fixings ordered as recommended. Fantastic, one of, if not the best lox bagels I’ve had. Shame I missed out for all these years. I’m glad I had time meandering around Manhattan today

The venue is gorgeous with dark wood paneling throughout and floor to ceiling windows which gives it a rustic yet modern ambience. Service was good and professional but not too detail oriented nor anticipatory. My group and I initially sat inside but it was the table closest to the kitchen opening so we decided to move to the patio to have a quieter table and better setting. Unfortunately, the rustic Italian dishes seemed quite good in written form but in real time taste was not really great nor special. The Roasted chicken reminded me of a vamped up version of Costco chicken. Which to say the least is tasty but not worth this price tag. Cavatelli was cooked Al Dente but the sauce Was just okay and lacked substance. My friend had been 2 years ago and this venue was always a gem. Perhaps we just had an off night. Overall, mediocre and not worth this price.

This place is a gem, a true delight for any day, whether it’s sunny, rainy, or anything in between. I love the warm atmosphere and the charm of the restaurant. The service is quick, and the food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend everything on the menu: pasta, fish, steak, and all the starters are our favourites. Especially the beef tartare is absolutely outstanding!

Amazing service the Maitre d’ Caprice is a gem! She got me & my friend seated right away in the back dining room. They lit the fireplace which I loved. If you’re looking for a laid back upscale spot this is the place to go. Judith was my waitress she was extremely helpful. Also- please don’t get rid of the Paloma with the cinnamon rim until summers over! It was so good!

Had a pretty bland dinner here. Came here right when they opened Saturday with reservations and sat us probably in the worst seat by the entrance and it wasnt even full basically empty. Food was just okay. Steak tar tar was probably the best dish of the night but they put an odd fried quail egg on top instead of egg yolk and a super thin slice of bacon is basically unneeded. Pasta was very underwhelming and lamb chops were good. They dont even have complementary bread? Cocktails are decent tho, but dinner was mediocre

Weird experience tonight and it pains me to write this. I’m a huge fan of Locanda Verde, especially the Tribeca location. Made a reservation for my wife’s birthday about two weeks in advance and clearly listed it was my wife’s birthday. They were about 15 mins late seating, not a big deal at all, we had a drink at the bar. But then they proceeded to lead us into the back room with absolutely no music, no vibe and no energy. Major mood killer! Totally different experience than main room. I felt like Sloth being chained in the dungeon. The food was excellent. We ordered the Cesar salad to start (10 out of 10) and then the lamb meatball sliders (also 10 out of 10) and steak tartar (8.5 out of 10.) Next course was the ravioli. It was excellent but not hot (not cold either but it def was sitting for a while before they brought out to us overall 8.5 out of 10.) We split the half garlic chicken as our main (9 out of 10) and crispy potato’s (5 out of 10) they were inedible, way too salty. We complained and they sent us new ones albeit it took 15 mins to bring out. We also ordered Brussel sprouts (11 out of 10) they are to die for. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu (10 out of 10) and they brought out a candle for my wife’s birthday. Service was excellent no complaints there. Solid water game although they didn’t really come over and ask us about reordering cocktails so we only had two drinks the whole night but overall, I have to say it was a real miss with putting us in the back room. Really killed the vibe for us.

It was a divine brunch in every way ! The service was exceptional and attentive. The Caesar salad was delicious and unlike any I have had before. The Pappardelle was a culinary masterpiece, truly and the tiramisu was beautifully designed. It was pure ambrosia, except for the whole coffee beans embedded inside. I could have done without those. Thank you for making my Sunday an unforgettable one. It goes without saying, that inside and out, Locanda Verde is an extraordinary restaurant !

We had a great experience with Saturday brunch. Our group had the frittata, egg sandwich, steak and eggs, eggs Benedict and the sheep’s milk ricotta and crostini. It was all excellent. Oh and the Bloody Mary’s were classic!

Looking for brunch? Two Hands is a solid spot! It’s a cute Australian cafe with a good variety of aesthetic food and drink options. I came with a friend at Wednesday afternoon, and got seated right away! We both agreed that the breakfast burrito was phenomenal, and the hash brown with the scrambled eggs was the highlight of the meal. I also really enjoyed the banana espresso martini! Definitely come check this place out if you want a cute brunch with friends!

The experience was ok overall. The muffuletta sandwich was good but the breakfast burrito was just okay. The pancakes were dry. The service was slow and they forgot to bring the pancakes, which I had to remind them twice. They took my napkin twice and did not bring me a new one until I asked them.

Am not sure why this place is famous and requires a no show fee for reservations. The menu and food both are average, decor is decent. Our group of 5 went at 2 pm for brunch. The wait time for food was long. Mid way they mentioned the sourdough for chicken sandwich is not available. The matcha latte powder was sub par. Finally did get the sandwich with sourdough but the bread slice was too thick and filling was dry, so couldn’t really savor the flavors. A very much average spot overall. A typical Manhattan hype.

The banana bread and the mushroom soba noodle bowl are to die for (highly recommend adding salmon to the bowl). servers are so kind and it’s a beautiful space. the portions are a good size for the price. drinks are good, i got the banana bread espresso martini, but the banana smoothie was the stand out drink.

I got the banana bread latte and the banana bread french toast. The french toast was a good balance of sweetness and a little saltiness. The mascarpone was very creamy, and together with the bread had a nice texture. I did not enjoy the latte I ordered as much but I thought it was an interesting concept.

I had marked this place on my next trip to NYC since my daughter loves a good burger. We walked in without a reservation on late Saturday afternoon and as expected the place was packed. The staff was super attentive and friendly as they seated us in a quick manner. Also a big thank you for accommodating and acknowledging my daughter’s special needs. The burger absolutely lived up to the hype! Would love to stop by again.

Always great food. Excellent ingredients and delicious combos. Waited 10 minutes for a table since we didn’t have a reservation on a Sunday morning. They have a small waiting area and the staff was great while we waited. Once we ordered our food came out very quickly. This place is always a sure bet to please.

Arrived around 2 pm for a late lunch. Had to wait 15 min to get a table outside but the waiting time was spend ordering a delicious drink at the bar. When seated we ordered a Steak sandwich and a Bar steak. It was plenty of food and it tasted delicious. We had to share the profiteroles for dessert and they were also delicious. Location is nice and food great.

We chose a beautiful Sunday morning in rainy New York to go out for brunch with friends, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. There were six of us, and we were given a lovely round table where it was comfortable to sit and talk. The restaurant was full, yet the hostess greeted us with a smile and kindly showed us to our table, even though two of our friends were running late. That was especially nice, knowing how strict New York restaurants usually are about seating incomplete parties. Each of us ordered something different, and everyone was happy with their choice. I had an omelet with Gruyère — soft, delicate, and absolutely delicious. It came with perfectly roasted potatoes, cooked in a special way that made them extra flavorful. My friends had salmon Benedicts, Norwegian eggs, and croque-madame — everything was excellent. We especially remember the French toast with strawberries and cream — heavenly! And for dessert, we shared profiteroles with ice cream, which were out of this world. The staff kept refilling our coffee and making sure our glasses were never empty. The atmosphere was lively and cheerful, full of people and energy. Even the restroom caught our attention — surrounded by shelves of wine bottles, it felt stylish and unique. We left feeling like part of a fashionable New York crowd — full, happy, and already planning to come back.

This restaurant is very conveniently located in the meatpacking district and the interior is amazingly decorated. We went on a Wednesday evening with a reservation and the restaurant got pretty packed around 6pm. We tried their beef tartare, sautéed spinach, scallops, escargot and mussels with chips. Our favourite was the escargot, it came with freshly baked baguette for you to dip in the buttery garlic parsley sauce. Overall everything was good but nothing hit the spot, hence the 4 stars.

I dined here plenty of times and this is the first time I am writing a review. The food is always excellent as well as the service. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and reminds me of there other locations throughout the states. People watching at there outdoor section is great. All together they offer a great brunch during the daytime and a very solid typical french dinner at night. Definitely give it a try

We went to Pastis while on a family vacation in New York. It was fairly easy to get a reservation, the food and staff were excellent. Our favorite dishes on the menu were the fries and the steak. Also the steak tartare and escargot were amazing. The fish dish we had was OK. I would’ve rather gotten another steak dish instead. We ended up ordering several plates and splitting everything. This was one of my favorite meals we had while on vacation.

Pastis remains one of those quintessential New York bistros ! effortlessly stylish, buzzing with energy, and steeped in that classic Parisian charm. The ambiance was exactly what you’d hope for in the Meatpacking District: warm lighting, lively tables, and a sense of easy sophistication. While the atmosphere and food impressed, the service left something to be desired. Our server seemed a bit disengaged; when asked for a wine recommendation, his only response was, “All of our wines are great.” He also didn’t check in until we were nearly finished with our meal, which felt a bit inattentive given the setting. On the upside, the burger was fantastic !! juicy, perfectly seasoned, and paired with crisp, golden fries. It’s the kind of simple yet well-executed dish that reminds you why Pastis is a New York staple. With a bit more warmth in the service, it would have been an all-around standout experience.

Come hungry! Seriously, the portions are generous and delicious. But that doesn’t mean the food isn’t wonderfully prepared and fresh tasting. For the price I’d describe it as a good value and most of the main entrees could be shared (especially with an appetizer). I really want to go back and try more of the dishes…next time I’ll come hungrier! It has a nice cozy ambiance, but not too cramped. Only complaint was the service was sometimes hard to track down (like to grab a new fork or get a water refill).

Miriam is such a great spot. The food is delicious, the portions are generous (perfect for sharing between two), and the flavors are incredible. The pitas are honestly some of the best I’ve had. We tried the chicken shawarma, which was wonderful. It comes with rice and a small Israeli salad, and everything was seasoned beautifully. The service was excellent, super attentive and kind. They also offer special menus for Jewish holidays like Rosh Hashanah, which is a really nice touch. Price-wise, it’s not cheap, but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality. Overall, just a really good restaurant, great food, great service, and one I’d happily come back to once they finish renovating their original location.

We made a last minute reservation before a nets game and it was the best decision we ever made. There’s probably nothing bad in the menu, we loved everything we got. Specifically the Brussels sprouts and hummus as appetizers, I could’ve eaten 45 orders of those. The service was so freaking kind, they made suggestions for drinks and cocktails, everything loved them. I will def come back

the vibes inside this restaurant are really nice, the servers are very attentive and the food was pretty good! my friend and i absolutely loved the lamb shawarma bowl (i forgot if that was what it was called) but it def filled us up and was extremely delicious. the only bad thing i have to say is the price point, i went in without looking at the menu beforehand and trusted google saying it would be $20-30 pp but its more like $30-50 as their main dishes are more in the 30-50 range and their apps are $20-30, me and my friend ended up splitting the apps and main to save money, but that bowl was worth, would come back js for that bowl.

First time dining here and we had a great experience! The falafel starter was my favorite! We also tried the Hummus & Mushroom Shawarma and the Chicken Schnitzel, all very tasty. The atmosphere is very quiet, and the service was very friendly. I will definitely come back (:

Dined in solo on a weekday afternoon and had excellent service and a very tasty meal. The vibe here is warm, home-like, communal, neighborhoody, relaxed. Bathrooms are clean. Service was attentive yet breezy and the Source Bowl (upon recommendation) sub shrimp was so delicious!

My friend and I both ordered the chicken sandwich, spicy, and sat outside. I've had many chicken sandwiches in this city, but none this size. It was crispy, crunchy, tender, filling, but not spicy (that's fine, spice is relative and restaurants have to cater to their neighborhood). The fries and drinks were also great. Definitely coming back.

Friendly and attentive staff. We tried the chicken nuggets which had a lot of breading on them, good flavor and a little too chunky in my opinion . The mushroom flatbread pizza was pretty good. It needed a little sauce on the side in my opinion or spice. Nice atmosphere inside with dim candlelight which gave cozy vibes. You also had the option to sit outside and enjoy those types of vibes as well.

I was really excited to try this place. The interior is bright, cheerful, and inviting. It definitely has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and enjoy a meal. That said, I did feel it was a bit overpriced. The drink I ordered was delicious, but the portion was surprisingly small for the price. I felt similarly about the food. It tasted good, but nothing stood out as exceptional given the cost and portion size. Still, I think it’s worth checking out, and I’d be open to going back to try a few more items. Maybe we didn't pick the right thing and need to go back outside of brunch.

The place has a beautiful atmosphere with modern, cozy décor 🌿. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent—everyone was very attentive, from the host to the bus boy 🙌. The food was tasty; my favorite dish was the mushroom and walnut pasta, absolutely delicious and well balanced in flavor 🍄🥜. The veggie burger, however, didn’t quite meet my expectations, especially considering this is a vegetarian restaurant. I also loved that they offer a wide variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic 🍹🥂, which makes it easy to find something for every taste. A fun surprise was discovering, as we were leaving, that there are two more abc restaurants nearby: one Mexican and another focused on seafood. Definitely makes me want to come back and try them too.

We came for a friend’s birthday, and it was my first time trying a vegetarian meal. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the dishes were really good and flavorful. I had the Limoncello, which was delicious. Just a heads-up, the portions aren’t very filling, so come accordingly. The staff were sweet, although one of the servers kept asking if we’d decided on drinks. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful.

Had the best solo work date here! Ordered the California Dates, crispy cornmeal shiitake sandwich, and a refreshing green cucumber juice and all of them were amazing! The California Dates were honestly a game-changer and so innovative without any added sugar. Loved the chic ambience, the warm service, and the beautiful location as it made my solo date feel so special. 💕 Definitely one of those spots I’ll keep coming back to again and again!

Sophisticated yet casual vibe in the space Attentive and friendly service but not too overbearing I got the restaurant week pri fixe which had great variety and felt like decent value for the price all things considered. Nothing out of the ordinary but the quality of the food was really good and menu had a good variety of items. The steak, halibut and zucchini flowers were probably the most memorable dishes. I thought the pastas could have been a bit better seasoned. Really enjoyed it and would recommend and go back!

I had an absolutely fantastic time. Evelina never disappoints. The food is always amazing and our waiter was extremely accommodating and attentive to all food allergies. The first time I had their pancakes I had to go back for more! The squid in risotto is also my favorite item on the dinner menu.

Stopped here by chance on a lovely fall Sunday morning. Beautifully located on the corner of the street, the outdoor seating area gets abundant sun in the am. Drip coffee was terrific and was refilled for me. The lemon scone was phenomenal - warm with crispy bits and a moist interior served with a sharp lemon custard and dense whip cream. Was tempted to try a bunch of other stuff I saw arriving at tables next to me, but ran out of time. Did visit the inside which was both elegant and cozy. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

First, I want to commend the culinary team here. The food was truly exceptional, particularly the chanterelle ravioli pasta and the NYC strip. The cocktails were also excellent. However, the service we received is close to tragedy. While our server seemed to be pleasant gay dude, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness and interest throughout the entire visit. We had absolutely no interaction, beside when placing our initial food order. We experienced zero follow-ups regarding our drinks or food, nor any general check-ins. This lack of engagement resulted in us waiting approximately 20 minutes to order dessert, which is completely unnecessary. We end up tipping 20% because we plan to come back but this should not be a service standard for the restaurant of this caliber.

Omg we had the best time at Evelina! The place is absolutely gorgeous with cozy vibes and a romantic lighting. The menu is mouthwatering and everything we tried was amazing! They have delicious mocktails too! It’s perfect for date night, group and solo dining.

Cozy vibe, friendly and quick service, with good brunch carbs and seafood option. We loved the Charred Spanish Octopus and Ravioli though the dessert was not that impressive. Overall, will come back again.

Such a shame. This place lost its mojo. It just isn’t good anymore. It makes you wanna cry when a place that used to be great is neglected by and starts to fail. We went in the other night after having been fans for years and everything we had was bad. They used to be so creative and put so much care into their food. Now, their menu has been truncated and pared down. Far fewer choices if you seek meatless options. And the veg ideas that still remain on the menu were dry and flavorless the evening we went. Things like the hibiscus “chorizo” were just a starchy potato mush. Everything was starchy, everything was dry. It all basically tasted the same, and pretty flavorless. Two adults and a child dining here, we each had two items, shared one guacamole appetizer and dad drank one beer. Kid had a soda. The total after tip was $87. This place has always been pricey but when the food is not good, you kind of feel robbed. The people who run this restaurant are taking over the entire block. They now own an Italian wine bar, a chicken restaurant and the wine store on this block. It seems they are spreading their attention too thin. My family won’t eat here again. If it were half the price we might go every now and then because it’s so close, but for what it is now, it’s just not worth the trip.

Tortilla soup was so good, I wish they offered a larger size. Flavorful with a lot of pieces of blue corn tortillas, and a great thick consistency. The bean / epazote tetelas was a great side to it. Pictured is the black bean/avocado tlayudita and chilaquiles (both really great, but you do have to add all those extras on the chilaquiles which makes it quite expensive). Came on a Sunday around 2, and had no problem finding seating outside. Overall great food and vibe

Great place for Mexican breakfast & lunch. The latte was creamy, just to my liking, so that for me was a 10/10. I also tried “La gringa,” a quesadilla of sorts with cheese, mushrooms, and cilantro in between two corn tortillas (instead of just one folded tortilla), and came with a side of guacamole.

TL:DR - a solid lunch spot. I got the horchata coffee - it was really good, though incredibly heavy. We shared some small plates, as well as the tlayuda, a dish I would definitely recommend trying. The egg on top was perfectly runny, and everything was the right amount of heat - spicy but not too much heat for breakfast. The tetelas were a bit dry; we all had one bite and no one went back for more - though that being said no one left hungry. Dine in available but really only comfy for parties of 2.

If I could eat here for every meal I would-the cocktails, tacos, brunch-everything is pretty good! I walked 30 mins for their Gordita😋extra points for being completely celiac safe it is very pricey though and the quality has lowered a bit since I lived there

Some of the best in the neighborhood. Update 2025-02-18: Still so damn good. Me and my daughter just ate there again for the second time this week because she woke up with an understandable craving for it.

Horrible service. I ordered two Philly "cheese"steak sandwiches and chip for take-out, but there's no cheese inside of the both sandwiches and they didn't even give me the chip at the first time. It's so overrated.

There’s a little joint on 7th Ave in Brooklyn, Winner. You wouldn’t notice it if you weren’t paying attention, which is exactly what makes it worth your time. No glossy signage, no gimmicks, just the smell of bread doing what bread should do: stopping you dead in your tracks and pulling you in like a cartoon character floating toward a pie on a windowsill. I walked up thinking I’d grab a coffee and go. Keep it simple. But then the person at the little walk-up window smiled at me with this kind of conspiratorial warmth, like they knew something I didn’t. And they did. Next thing I know, I’m standing there with a cinnamon roll one of those perfect accidents you don’t plan but end up grateful for. Sweet, sticky, a little messy, and made by people who clearly give a damn. And then, the sourdough croissant. Jesus. Layers that shatter like good pastry should, but with that deep, tangy backbone that only sourdough gives you. It’s not delicate in that precious, Parisian way, it’s Brooklyn. Bold, unapologetic, a little rough around the edges. The kind of croissant that doesn’t just whisper “buttah,” it leans across the bar and shouts it in your face. Winner doesn’t try to be anything but itself. And that’s the charm. No pretension, no curated Instagram nonsense just honest, serious baking, handed over by the nicest person you’ll meet all day at a window on 7th Ave. You walk away with flour on your shirt, sugar on your fingers, and the reminder that sometimes the best meals are the ones you never saw coming.

Fish & chips batter were bitter and heavy. Fish fillet were chewy. It should be perfectly flaky, moist, and tender fillet. Light and easy to eat. Chips were really small portions and it came only one fillet for $24. I think they shouldn’t do fish and chips if they can’t do it right. Chicken meat balls came 3 of them and very small for $16. Russos next door make a better meat balls. I had the rotisserie chicken from here and it wasn’t impressively good for the price as well.

I ordered the fried chicken Sammie and it was amazeballs. All of the desserts must also be amazeballs because they were sold out. Great outdoor atmosphere and apparently the bread is made in house.

Is there food good... Yes most things are very good. They are definitely over priced. My problem is, they don't follow their own rules. I went one day to get a sandwich and they "sold out", they still had All the ingredients from their dinner menu, but wouldn't sell us the dinner until 3pm. Today they ran out of most of their sandwiches very early and when I came back at 3pm for dinner they were already "sold out" on the dinner without posting they were "sold out". Waste of time.

To start off, it takes me more than an hr to go here and come back home BUT whenever i felt like treating myself, I'd make the trip just to get their sandwiches - because they were just that good!! (Despite the high cost and bad transit) My favorites were the fried chicken sando + blt + veggie bahnmi and today I went by to treat myself and ordered the fried chicken sandwich (with changed recipe?!) & the blt, paid nearly $40 to realize....they both didn't taste that good.... The new fried chicken sandwich was especially lackluster 😞 Like one of the other reviewers, i wish i could even pay more to get the original sandwich back - at least it tasted good and that's all i want 😭

Didn’t realize there was such a fresh bakery in park slope. I got their egg, cheese, and ham muffin and probably the best I’ve had. The eggs had a nice soft and fluffy texture which made a great combination with the cheese. Though, I didn’t get it, their chocolate croissant looked massive. Note that they only have takeout on the side of the building with a single cashier, so expect to wait a bit.

Such a nice, cute little cafe and bakery in a cozy spot in Brooklyn Crown Heights neighborhood. Very clean, and staff was incredibly respectful and helpful. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the crown heights area! ❤️‍🔥🗽😎☕️

Glad to see they are still in business. They opened about a year before I moved out of NYC and I was there nearly every day for my morning coffee. The coffee was roasted in house and they food was delicious. The young men who own and run it were extremely friendly and hospitable and it was a place that everyone in this diverse neighborhood felt comfortable spending time in. Very happy to see they are still thriving

Got an assortment of savory pastries and everything was so good. This place deserves some hype because it’s just excellent! And to be clear— it’s not good for kosher food, it’s good PERIOD! Next time I’m in Brooklyn I will definitely be stopping here.

I would rate 100 stars if I could. Drove 40 minutes in traffic for the MOST AMAZING tasting food! Bought almost EVERYTHING they had available 🤭 and it tastes EXACTLY like the ones I’ve been dreaming of from Isreal. Would definitely recommend!! A MUST TRY.

Very cute little restaurant! The katsu sandwich and fried chicken sandwich were delicious. The special pastries were also good. The ham biscuit was very salty and sadly practically inedible. We have had it before and it was better, not sure what changed.

Little Egg is a bright, inviting breakfast and lunch spot with thoughtful dishes and a minimalist, cozy interior. Their crispy chicken katsu sandwich is a perfect blend of texture and flavor, and the egg dishes are always perfectly cooked. Coffee is strong and high quality, and the service is warm and efficient. A great neighborhood cafe that feels both modern and homey.

YUM! This place has been sitting on my “two try” list for years. And now I’m sure I’m gonna be there way too often. The hashbrown was seasoned all throughout. The egg sandwich - seasoned all throughout. Great crisp. The yuzu mayo was a great contrast Def go, but maybe skip prime time on Sunday.

Cute cozy spot for breakfast/lunch. The country ham biscuit was super tasty, the hash brown to me tasted more like a fried knish (still delicious, but not what I associate hash browns with). The grafton cheddar omelette has a similar texture to a French omelette. The coffee was only ok, they do however have a delicious freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. * update: had the squash curry bread which was tasty

The food was unique and delicious. I really liked the crayons at the table. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

egg katsu sando is as good as I heard, panko-fried steamed egg with pickled shallot and yuzu kosho mayo may not look like much but it packs all the flavor I need. The price sure is steep, and there’s usually a wait on the weekend, but I think it’s worth trying it once.

Service was great, I was surprised to see some of these reviews. Our waiter was super on top of it and food came out quickly, we were seated immediately even on a Sunday at 11:30am. The biscuits were delicious, we got it with the jam and with the mushroom gravy. We also got the chicken and pancake combo. Pancake was not my vibe, much thicker and chewier than I was expecting, and the maple syrup tasted like the kind you get in a plastic bottle at the super market rather than real maple syrup like I was hoping for at a place like this. Everything else was great though!

Come Stow away, come stow away with me! Couldn’t resist the temptation, but on the real, if you ever find yourself needing to break fast and enjoy a little hole in the wall, a rustic ambiance, and very friendly service, Stowaway serves. Tucked away in Greenpoint, Stowaway came up on a top ten list of places to check out and TikTok hasn’t let me down before. If you’re lucky to get either Miles or Sasha, you’ll be in good hands. Of course the food served; started off spitting a blueberry pancake (pizza style); perfect size for three. The cake was made fluffy and the blueberry compote had that right amount of warmth and gooey. We each got one of the biscuit sandwiches and they were definitely a several steps up from any that you would get from Fastfood. A soft biscuit, perfect scrambled/runny eggs and a good southern sausage. I took a step further adding a side of remoulade at Mile’s recommendation; 🔥 choice. Also, stacking my hash brown on my sandwich, 👌🏾. Note, they don’t do reservation but we got there round 11-12pm and they was seating for the three of us, but don’t dally. Anyway, I’ll have to comeback and try some of their specials of day. The shrimp and grits across another table looked pretty good. Either way, this is definitely my type of vibe I want as I break fast, so let me stowaway again on my next visit.

This place is a hidden gem in Greenpoint. They serve big portions, so come hungry! My favorite thing here is the hush puppies, seriously, so good. Lately, it seems like they’re getting more popular. Every time I visit, it’s a bit packed and there’s usually a long wait for the food. But honestly, it’s worth it. Just know going in that you might have to be patient. If you’re okay with waiting, the food won’t disappoint.

It was okay! I loved the decor and the homage to NYC. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit. The biscuit was soft, bacon and eggs were perfectly cooked but it lacked overall flavor and touch of salt. Hashbrown was crispy.

Searched for the best bloody mary in the area on a Saturday and the googles recommended this little gem. The regular bloody was amazing with perfect horseradish spice. Miles the bartender and all other things, along with our other server, were so welcoming. Miles was a death metal music aficionado who was a funny kind person. I never give reviews but this place was amazing. The food was incredible the chef at this place is sooo talented…from the south. We had his homemade sage breakfast sausage and the salmon/hashbrown dish with a jammy chilled egg and the best relish on it. One of the highlights of our trip to Brooklyn.

This place has the most amazing breakfast, but we came a little bit too late so we decided to indulge in the oyster happy hour! A bottle of wine coming with a dozen oysters, super fresh! I also got the muscles and fries and the pimento cheese dip, which my friends were fighting over until the very last bite. So many other amazing dishes I can’t wait to go back and try.

Be careful of being over charged as a rent stabilized building. Find rent history on government DHCR website and file a complaint. Inflated rent without washer/dryer in unit. Laundry room only has 3 machines often needs a long wait. 1 of 2 elevators often down, 30 minutes long wait for a ride. Hot water is not stable sometimes outage. Wall is thin. Noise pass through from neighbors all the time. View is fine but way too loud on passing train noise!! It’s very difficult to sleep!! Super, handyman and doorman Mike (the older guy with glasses) all talk obnoxiously loud in public and ignorant. Doorman Mike always plays very loud music in the lobby like it’s his own home basement. He is the most rude giving an aggressive attitude to yell at any guests or visitors come by. Anyone visited all left with a bad impression. At year end the super Stefan sent out a whole building wide email asking every tenant to give a holiday tip is laughably blunt as it gets. Soon followed by his 2nd email especially addressing those who paid will be remembered. Funny and ironic. 2 emails in a row reminding all not to use the lounge because he rents out for money. Really I don't need to receive so many OCD type of emails from a super on daily basis. Unprofessional. He is a handyman turned into a super with no management skill or any knowledge of law. He ran straight to tenant door to put up sign for humiliation. Nonstop continuous harassment on daily basis to cause disturbance on purpose. It is not a home or fam when treated disrespectfully by the amount of year end tip paid. Expensive and unhealthy to live in such a hostile harassment environment. Nonstop continuous harassment from super Stefan on daily basis to cause disturbance on purpose. He acts ignorance of any law. He would even made up bed bug issue just so he could harass and trespass my apartment.

I have lived here for 3 years and cannot recommend it more, all due to the building's fantastic employees. I can say without hesitation that the staff at the Aurora is simply outstanding - particularly Mike, one of the building's concierges. Since moving into the building in April 2020 during COVID, Mike has been incredibly dependable and is always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Moving to the Aurora was my first time living alone, however knowing that I had Mike at the front desk gave me a sense of security. Regardless of who it was, Mike always made sure to call my apartment before sending them up. As a single woman in NY I really appreciated his professionalism and attentiveness regarding building guests. Even after dating my boyfriend for months, Mike checked with me first before just allowing him through. Separate from that, it’s hard to stay in a bad mood when Mike is on duty, whether it is upbeat music in the morning, or an interesting story. He actively engages with building residents, our partners, our families and creates a personal touch in a building with 100+ units. He does a great job of creating a sense of community / feeling of home – it’ll be weird not seeing him every week! Ultimately, the ENTIRE building staff is absolutely fantastic - every member of the team has a professional and welcoming attitude, and I can honestly say I will miss the whole crew!!

We’ve been living at Aurora for over 4 years and we are super happy with all the building staff. Maintenance requests get addressed quickly. Staff is always attentive and helpful. The location is great with best access to subway. Residents are for the most part respectful. The only exception to our positive experience had been the building manager, who left last year, and with the new manager things have gotten better.

Lived here for 2.5 years, staff is top notch and management is responsive to requests. Incredible views and all the amenities you could want at no extra cost! Definitely recommend the Aurora to anybody exploring LIC

I've lived in Aurora for 4 years. I've only moved out because I decided to be away from NYC during the pandemic. Staff and management are very friendly and always willing to help. Amazing amenities: gym, rooftop with a view to Manhattan, and a lounge. I also want to mention the great service of the Resident Manager Mike Marisenovic. He started working for the building a couple of years ago and took it to another level. He is not just a nice guy but a great professional. Whenever we had an issue, he was ready to solve it. I highly recommend Aurora and will miss my apartment. I hope the new tenants enjoy it as much as I did.

I lived at Aurora from Nov 2016-Feb 2021, and was the first tenant in my unit. This is a great building to live in, I had an amazing experience and zero complaints during my long tenure there. The staff (Mike the building manager, all the doormen / support staff) are fantastic - friendly / communicative / efficient / expedient. I didn’t have single maintenance issue until towards the end of my stay, and even then they were minor and quickly addressed. I highly recommend Aurora to anyone considering living there.

The front desk gentlemen are incredible. My corner apartment was spacious, had stunning views, and provided for a lot of natural light. Mike, the resident manager, is a big advocate for the tenants and works to make sure needs are addressed timely. Only downside is the one-bedrooms do not have a washer/dryer in the individual apartments. But, that aside, I enjoyed my rental experience at Aurora.

Tried the James Beard pancakes, specifically the Pancake Flight. This consists of three different toppings. If you are not a huge fan of sweet, then forgo this. These pancakes were thick, but so light and fluffy. Would definitely go back for this alone. The other two dishes were the Cheese Grits Breakfast and Bubby's Breakfast. Nothing notable, but the cheese grits were good. Pro tip, I went for Sunday brunch and the line was LONG but the three of us opted to sit at the bar. Waited only 10 minutes and the service was excellent. It was also interesting to watch the bartenders in action during peak capacity.

A rare perfect breakfast! I really enjoyed the huevos rancheros, and two of my friends said that the biscuits in their biscuits and gravy were literally the best biscuits they had eaten. We split the pancakes with toppings and thought they were amazing, although all three of us felt glad that we hadn't ordered it as our main dish since they were so filling. We hit several already-researched restaurants on our short trip to NYC and this was definitely one of the highlights!

Had a delicious breakfast here, so glad I came! Visited around 8am on a Tuesday - was able to sit at the bar. Service was great, very friendly and responsive. I got the Hibiscus Iced Tea - server gave me extra simple syrup on the side if I wanted it sweeter. The Chicken and Pancakes were PHENOMENAL. The chicken was piping hot and crispy, perfectly seasoned and a generous portion. The pancakes were thick but still light. The butter and syrup provided allowed me to customise to my preference. I broke up the rosemary stick over the pancakes and omg I am totally putting rosemary on my pancakes from now on, it was next level delicious. The vibes are great, the staff are all friendly and smiley and the food is perfection. 10/10.

went to Bubby’s for breakfast, and although it was packed with about a 45-minute wait, it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was lively and cozy, the kind of bustling New York breakfast spot that makes you feel like you’re part of something special. I ordered the homemade home fries, which came Southern-style with sautéed onions and peppers. They were perfectly seasoned and had that crispy, golden edge that’s hard to get just right. The highlight, though, was the fried chicken and pancakes served with bourbon maple syrup. The pancakes were fluffy and rich, with a twist, there’s sour cream in the batter, which gives them a subtle tang and an extra tender texture. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference. I also sampled the cheese grits, and they were creamy, comforting, and full of flavor, a perfect side to round out the meal. Overall, Bubby’s delivered a fantastic Southern-inspired breakfast experience right in the heart of NYC. If you don’t mind the wait, it’s a must visit spot for a hearty and memorable brunch.

Reserve ahead of time! The lines get crazy so you may want to skip them. The service was the best here, very friendly and accommodating staff, however the food was okey… people say they have the best pancakes but honestly they seemed overloaded with toppings and nothing out of this world. Food comes out veeeeeery fast so definitely a plus. The siting for two people is uncomfortable, it is directly in the air conditioning blast and the tables are very near to each other so it is difficult to get in and out.

Good food… The stuffed French toast which was the week special was different… The potatoes were also exceptional! The 45 minute wait in line was craziness… Depends on how much you crave this. Service was quick and efficient… Minnie was extensive. We went on a rainy day in October so outdoor seating was limited… Only recommendation is to go early if you don’t want to wait in crazy long lines

The hostess Lena was incredibly kind and very efficient. The line for a table was long, and yet she was able to get our party seated quickly. Our server Alex was also wonderful. She was nice and very attentive. The food was great, as always! Highly highly recommend Bubby’s for anyone who may be visiting the city. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

If you’re looking for something a bit different in the West Village. It’s one of a few locations globally which makes it feel extra special. We came for brunch and were glad we arrived early—it gets busy quickly (long wait line). The cappuccino was great, and the pastries were perfect. The breakfast offerings are on the lighter side, but everything was fresh and simple. Seating is a bit tight, but the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

Great food and service! Do not expect American oversized portions. The servings are typical of what you would get in France. Freshly squeezed orange juice with lotsa pulp. The Belgian Waffle didn't need any syrup at all. The fruits and toppings added enough flavor. The tap (still) water tastes very decent. Couldn't smell or taste any chlorine. Definitely will go back!

We came here for breakfast! We ordered the Belgian Waffle, Waffle Sandwich, Cappuccinos, and Tartine with Prosciutto, Fig Crostini, Goat Cheese, and Honey. Everything was delicious and tasted incredibly fresh! We also wanted to try the Chocolate Mousse, but that’s for another time. That’s why we’re coming back! They have both indoor and outdoor seating which a very small, cute patio. The service was excellent! Highly recommend it!

Walked in. Line looked really long (>10 groups ahead), but we were still seated in ~20 mins. The avocado toast, eggs and salmon were all excellent. I thought the orange juice was just okay. Our table was a bit cramped / close to the group beside us (they really cram as many people as possible into their space). Overall happy and would like to come back.

I arrived early (09:30 AM) to avoid the queue and I am glad I did! The place has a very nice atmosphere and the service was great. I had the egg and prosciutto toast and it was delicious. The coffee was also tasty. Worth the visit if you don't mind queueing.

We had a lovely Saturday brunch at Buvette, a charming little French spot. It was busy around 11 AM, and we waited about 40 minutes, but it was worth it! The helpful staff managing the line checked in often with updates, and the servers were all very attentive. Just a heads up, your whole party needs to be physically present before you can be seated. The space is a bit tight, but the food made up for it. We had cappuccinos one with oat milk and one with regular milk, ginger tea (which I really enjoyed), freshly squeezed OJ so good, chevre the steamed eggs that were so fluffy and light, pain perdu that wasn't too sweet, croque madame, waffle sandwich, and almond croissants. Everything was delicious! FYI-No reservations, walk-in only.

It was a great time there with my friends. To be honest I expected more than we had from food and service. Unsmiling manager was touching our table twice or three times to pour the water, never told us Hello or asked something. Very comfortable seats and a lot of natural light. Basque cheesecake was very delicious, rest ok, not bad.

Had a fantastic date night at Upland. We did not have a reservation but managed to wait at the bar with a drink before being moved to a table. Service was fantastic, and the food was definitely tasty. Beef tartar was great, different from others as the rice gives it a special crunch. Pizza had some little burned bits but overall was delicious. Would go back!

We made a reservation for five just a day in advance — rare and appreciated. Later, we added two more guests without any issue. When we arrived at 5:00 PM, the restaurant was practically empty, yet because two people in our party hadn’t arrived, we were seated at the bar. Why is this rule even enforced? No clear explanation (at any restaurant in the U.S.), just a vague “policy” that seems to exist simply because “that’s how it’s done.” That said, the space is beautiful — stylish and warm, with a polished urban feel and a steady, confident buzz. Now to the food: We were offered complimentary brioche with butter — soft, warm, and comforting. The pizza was decent — nice crust, mild flavors, but nothing remarkable. The hamachi came in two and a half very thick slices — an unusual presentation. It was okay, not particularly memorable. The burrata with finely chopped asparagus was a miss. The texture leaned more toward overripe mozzarella or even feta, with a sour note that didn’t sit well. We were told the vinegar was responsible, but with over 15 years in the industry, I respectfully disagree. To their credit, the dish was removed from the bill — much appreciated. The mushroom risotto — again, fine, but not exciting. We’ve had far better, with more depth and finesse. Our friends tried several other dishes, and the consensus was: everything was overly salted. But the desserts. Oh, the desserts. The chocolate mousse cake? Flawless — rich, balanced, and elegant. The ice cream with biscuit crumble on the side? An absolute delight. The cheesecake? Truly one of the best we’ve ever had — creamy, light, unforgettable. Hats off to the pastry chef — that part of the meal alone is worth coming back for. If we return, it will be for the sweet finish.

Very nice good and ambiance. Slightly lack in service for the following reasons: Food: I ordered the blacked hamachi. It was nicely smoky, great texture, nice flavor. Service: very disappointed by the passive aggressiveness. 1. I sat at a table without water for 0.5 hours. I didn’t eat much and only had a small appetizer, but just because I finished my food doesn’t mean I don’t need water, I get the passive aggressiveness of wanting a high turnover, but I arrived at 6:30, you don’t need to clear my water right as I finish my food. I like to take my time and enjoy your ambiance, don’t sheesh me. 2. Just because I eat by myself doesn’t mean I don’t want bread. The server was really kind in trying to resolve the issue, but the bus boy and other waiting staff was inattentive in the matter. I spent $60 for a glass of wine, appetizer and tip.

Chic, spacious brasserie blending Californian & Italian. Hearty dishes, fresh ingredients. Known for pastas & the Upland cheeseburger. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Trendy, can feel a bit more LA than classic NYC. Reservations recommended.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Lafayette Grand Café in New York. The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, and there was enough space to sit comfortably. The food and drinks were delicious – everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. While the prices are on the higher side, even for New York, the quality and overall experience made it absolutely worth it. A great spot to start the day in the city!

Had a very tasty munch outdoor the sugar snap peas were delicious. The Hamachi was very tasty with a touch of lemon that I added. The trout was very good. Maybe a little too many capers steak tartar was delicious. Service was good not great and the wines by the glass had a nice selection. This place is huge with also a bakery

The croissant is a truly unique experience . I highly recommend it! My favorite is the pistachio, but honestly, they’re all incredible. The place is cozy and charming. On weekends, you can’t sit inside to eat your croissant (there’s a standing area available), but during the week they have a reserved café area where you can sit and enjoy it peacefully. So if you can visit on a weekday, I’d definitely suggest doing that! The space is clean, and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

I was really disappointed with the pistachio cream — it tasted cheap and wasn’t good at all. For a place like La Fayette, I expected better quality, especially with their prices and reputation. I was also surprised that the coffee was made completely by machine instead of using a manual spoon.

Lafayette Grand Cafe and Bakery is a beautiful café with a true Parisian atmosphere. As soon as I stepped in, I was surrounded with a historic lively environment. I especially loved the French croissants with a buttery and flaky crust. The famous Suprême croissant is an amazing, creamy dessert that is not overhyped. The only reason why Lafayette is rated 4 stars is because of the expensive items. Lafayette is a great spot to grab a quick pastry or to sit down for a meal.

I stopped in the café and bakery this past morning on my walk to grab a pastry and a hot chocolate. The butter croissant and the Cinna-Cruffin as well as the hot chocolate were very good. It's a nice atmosphere inside and out. The staff were very nice, I will definitely go back again!

When in New York, you’ve got to have bagels, right? I’d pinned this place ages ago, so I took the chance to walk over. It’s called Murray’s Bagels, and they have a huge menu to choose from. I picked one at random, and it was still delicious. I love the chewy, soft texture of their bagels.

Paid $20 for Sarcastic Sol, tipped the staff, and when I got home I realized they gave me a dry bagel missing the main ingredient whitefish salad. When I called to tell them about it they told me they need the exact amount I paid. I said I would have to look at my credit card app, and the woman told me I can call back and hung up the phone. This place used to have long lines and doesn’t anymore…

i love bagels. i came here around 1pm today (wednesday). i got a toasted everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese and a double chocolate muffin. bagel was stale and kinda hard to chew. idk how old it was or if it was but assumed their bagels were fresh. muffin felt not as fresh as it could have been either. was disappointed. nice environment tho.

Still my favorite address for bagel. I recommend the everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. It goes so well with black coffee...

Saddell’s Soho - loved it! The smoked salmon and bagels were absolutely delicious—super fresh and flavorful. The omelette was just as delicious, light and tasty. The space itself is lovely. The staff is awesome! Great spot for brunch. Definitely worth a visit!

Sadelle's came highly recommended by friends and it didn't disappoint. The interior decor is very chic and the outdoor patio is well positioned to maintain the ambiance found within the restaurant. The bagel tower was very tasty and the potatoes were delicious. Jordan was an incredible server. He was very attentive and had great recommendations.

My husband and our friend came here for Brunch and boy did it exceed our expectations, it was amazinggg. The atmosphere was so pretty, I couldn’t help but take a pic while waiting to be seated, which didn’t take long. The service was awesome, and the food was SOOOO damn good. We left very happy and couldn’t stop talking about it the whole rest of the day. Highly recommend 10/10.

TLDR: not great. An underwhelming experience for a few reasons. Although the atmosphere and the aesthetic of the restaurant set the standards high, the rest of my experience wasn't great. This was the place I picked to treat myself during a business trip, and it did not deliver as expected. Although they tried to make it right by giving me a discount and offering an extra cocktail, this was the only chance to have a good experience, and discounts can't fix that. I did tip anyway, but the staff did not offer any apologies. It felt a bit like the staff is used to dealing with so many customers that saying they're sorry is not worth the effort. Mishaps can happen I just wish didn't happen during the only lunch I had planned 😕 I paid 30 dollars for a tiny bagel presented nicely. You can save money by going to any bagel shop, and you don't have to assemble the lox bagel yourself. My side dish had a fly in it, unfortunately. No formal apologies were offered, just a "do you want another one?" My mushrooms and barley soup had no barley in it. Cocktails are not worth it the price.

I had an eggs Benedict with ham for $28. It was not worth the price. It was so tiny I was still hungry and I’m a petite woman. The eggs were Luke warm and medium well almost hard boiled. The mimosa was delicious. Won’t be going back here. Then the tables were so close together. Towards the end of our meal a large group was sat right behind me and a man kept his chair so far out that every single person including the wait staff kept bumping into the back of my head. The wait staff should have asked him to push his chair in or they should not have sat them there. They just kept apologizing for bumping me constantly.

A iconic NYC staple! The service, food & atmosphere is amazing! We loved the whole experience and can’t wait to go back! We got the Eggs Benedict & the French toast! The French toast is now in my Top 3 “best I’ve ever had” The only thing getting used to was people’s dogs under the tables haha - that was not my favorite especially inside where you’re eating etc!

Mixed Experience — Not Sure Why It’s So Popular The food is good — not great, but good. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired for several reasons: 1. Kitchen timing is poorly coordinated. They ask you to order all dishes at once but don’t ensure that the starter arrives before the main. I ended up eating my main dish first. When I asked about it, the waiter said he had no control over kitchen timing. 2. Restroom situation is inconvenient. There was a line of six people waiting to use the restroom (unisex). Two restrooms simply aren’t enough for a restaurant of this size. 3. Waitstaff is overstretched. It took me three requests to different waiters just to get more coffee. 4. Inconsistent service attitude. Some hostesses and waiters were polite and genuinely interested in making the experience pleasant, but others seemed indifferent. Overall, the food quality doesn’t quite make up for the service issues.

Banana bread and flat white + latte. Kinda packed at 10am on weekday but fast. Good coffee and bread is very sweet but balances well with coffee. 10% off if you are staying at Ace Hotel

Anna and Salem we're amazing, I'm a newbie in coffee but ended enjoying a delicious espresso. The passion and menu knowledge they showed inspired me to try their Black sesame matcha that was also delicious and perfectly balanced. Will def be back!!!

Have been coming for more than 15 years. Consistent and delicious espresso coffee from Portland. My go-to order is small flat white. One of the most reliable coffees in New York City

Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only. By 2050, we will have more plastic in the ocean than fish. While I so appreciate that your shop offers real reusable mugs, I was saddened to see how unclear that option is for customers who are enjoying their coffee in-house. I wonder if there are ways you can better communicate the availability of reusables to folks who are buying coffee to stay here. Maybe that means putting a sign at the cash register, or maybe that means incorporating an explicit ask from your baristas. But it feels such a shame to see all of these coffees getting enjoyed in-house, and then see these cups get discarded right into the trash after 30 minutes of use, to head straight to a landfill, the oceans, or incinerator, and ultimately as micro plastics in our bodies. The plastic waste crisis will need both the consumer and the provider to help lessen its impact. Thank you for considering my note and for empowering New Yorkers to be better to our local ecosystem and our global ecosystem. To those reading this: you can get a mug at the shop by explicitly asking for one.
