If you are coming from a foreign country and have an ID card from another country, they don't let you in and they want an adress registration paper from germany. I find it very discriminative, I don't suggest this club to anyone. (for the answer of club: The guy on the door didn't inform me that there's a solution like this, otherwise I would definitely accept it. But the bodyguard was very very unfriendly and threatening, he didn't tell us that there's an option to enter. I definitely not reccomend here for tourists and visitors of bielefeld.)

Very bad service with racism security guys ! ! I was in a night club and the security guy was racism The reason was the security guy was sitting in the smoking area inside the club. He asked a friend of mine that he is drunk. He need to drink water and he was like no he's not drunk and I came there and I was asking what's going on and immediately he was just saying we have to go out immediately we were four people that need to kick us out immediately with no any explanation really racisms . The place itself is nice, and there are some interesting events. Also the workers at the bar, at the wardrobe and at the ticket office are really kind. The problems lie elswhere... If you are not German there are indeed problems with the entry, and it happens very often. - The first time I tried to enter the club they asked me for my ID and then for a German address, something that I didn't have with me that time. But I can accept it, I didn't know it was mandatory and it was my fault. - The second time, during the nu Metal event, they didn't ask me for any address, they only controlled my ID card and I was allowed to enter. - The third time, they wanted to see my ID and my german address: this time I had my Anmeldung photo on my phone, but the bouncer said "no photo". I gently asked "why?", but he wasn't able (or he didn't want) to speak english, so he just repeated "no photo". I'm not saying that they are racist, because there is no evidence about that, and moving this kind of accusations is wierd (but very popular I see). Anyway, sometime a bit of comprehension and kindness would help, even if the customer is not a german speaker or a good looking girl, especially because I am - and I was - really respectful and polite. The facts are: 1. the policy of 50€-card is really annoying and discouraging, especially for turists or newcomers. I can understand it is a matter of club management policy, but as a customer I find that a flaw while choosing which club to go. Also, since it is something that only applies to those who do not live in germany, it can easily lead people to think it is a racist policy, not a smart marketing move (looking at reviews is a good way to realise that). Also, I haven't seen this policy elswhere in Bielefeld and in Germany yet, but maybe I was just lucky. 2. I can't understand why a photo of my Anmeldung is not valid. Should I walk around in Bielefeld with a hard copy of the official document like in the 20th century? Especially if sometimes they don't even control that (for example during the nu metal event). 3. Why can't (or dont want?) bouncers just speak English? I don't expect to discuss about existentialism, but I'd only like to understand what I need to enter a club in Bielefeld. For sure I will try again to enter the Stereo Club, yet I'm pretty sure it will be - again - an hard challenge.

Went here in January, no problem and the prepaid system worked good. Yesterday I went here too but now the bouncer didn't let me in because I was dutch he said. Really discrimination... I am not sure if I liked the place or sitting outside of it :). A bit to expensive for alternative kind of clubbing but bring A the right community.

Der place to be in Bielefeld!

One of the coolest spots to visit in Bielefeld! It has a spacious patio where you can sit back and enjoy a nice view of the town. Their currywurst is among the tastiest we’ve had in Germany. We also tried the Alster and Herforder Pils — both excellent choices. Highly recommended!

Loved my Caesar salad, mango smoothie, and Red Fruit Flash tea, just wish the glass was clean (three lipstick stains on the glass). The terrace had a great view of the city, complimentary Wi-Fi, and can also be enclosed (barrier comes down to prevent rain on the borders) which I thought was really cool, as it did rain today. Service here is a bit slow, but very friendly. Loved my experience here overall.

I arrived at 11 15 am, took 20 minutes until someone asked for my order - I was only able to order a drink since the kitchen is closed, its now 12 am and still no drink. Decided to leave. Mind you the restaurant was almost completely empty. Not worth the price, even though the view is great.

Highly recommendable! Really! Great view over Bielefeld - roof terrace is ALWAYS crowded. If you're lucky you find a place to sit inside where the sun won't render you blind ;)) - normal variety of dishes, vine menue card is small but well arranged. Music played at times is a sound you need getting used to - but the volume is acceptable. Prices are moderate - you pay a tip (for the view) to a staff which aims to fulfill all your wishes. Takes some time sometimes but you will be served - no worries :D

This place has amazing food. I was already recommended by a teacger I work with that their waffles are to die for, but they have an amazing dinner and lunch section. Their breakfast section is lacking, but that is because I prefer a warm breakfast. I had the McBeth and the waiter was able to put in the customization i needed and I am forever greatful! This place is good to go with a big family, friends, dates. There are not enough options for little kids, so if youre child is not a baby you may want to find another place or settle for toddlers.

The potatos french philosophy were very good, a bit too expensive however. You cannot change the distribution of the tables outside, which is not very respectful of customers. I give the good of my evaluation to the people that work there: extremely hardworking, extremely good service compared to all the other bielefeld places, and very respectful of customers. I don't appreciate how the place is managed, but the employees are the real pearl of the place.

Okay-ish Restaurant with a good location. I had the devils chicken which was supposed to be spicy but even after adding all the extra chilli sauce they provided it was just mildly hot. The drinks look nice though. We sat outside and he lovely weather in this lovely neighbourhood. A little pricey tbh.

I came here on a day where there weren’t any events on like their karaoke or pub quiz but the place was extremely lively and their Guinness really sent me back to home, it was well poured and tasted amazing! A massive thank you to the staff there too, they were super polite, spoke English with me and recommended some spots for me to go to during my visit here. I’ll definitely be coming again!

I went for a night at karaoke and some drinks and the waitresses were very very kind and helpful. It was very crowded and very hot inside, but a good experience nonetheless.

One Star less because the Song I Chose "chicken fried" Was like twice as fast as the original. It was like a fast forward Version of it. Nevertheless, people cheered and dance to it, and my fiance and I had a lot of fun on stage. Great Atmosphere, friendly service, place ist amazing and overbooked even in the week. Karaoke was great! The pizza is good, drinks were 2 for 1 on Wednesday. The menu is limited. And crowd is comprised of most college age students.

The only club in Bielefeld with a "real" Dj and nice techno club music (fortunately no charts like in Cafe Europa & Elephant). The staff is friendly and you get pizza right in front of it. After 5am it is for free to get in.

*AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE NOT GERMAN* We bought tickets for a Friday night party, paying around 30€ in total. Once at the door we were surprisingly unable to enter. The stewards there (4 guys acting completely rude and agressive) told us that we were not gonna get in, they were also unable to speak proper English and didn‘t give us any further reasons for it. We left the place completely dissapointed and now we have to send an email to ask for our money back, the whole situation is just unrealistic. Imagine, even if you have tickets, you can‘t go in… Never again!

I give my ID card, I don't know German, and they tell me that the security at the door had to be purchased online ahead of time, and they wouldn't let me in.

This is the most discriminatory place on earth, If it's an all-white environment just make it official and show the sign at the door "no colored people allowed" I read a couple of reviews before getting here but I was shocked in person. I was right behind a group of 4 non-colored guys initially. The bouncer asked the group if I was with them and when they answered no, he let them through without a question and then proceeded to ask for my club ticket (which was not available online at the time I checked but I still was willing to pay at the gate). I would have accepted this as normal protocol if the ticket check was done on everybody else after me but I stood there and watched every non-colored person enter with no questions asked. The reception from the bouncers was hostile and unnecessarily uncalled for, No one expects a club bouncer to be jovial but don’t rub shoulders with random people before me and be rude to me unprovoked. I am a potential customer before anything else and It's sickening to know this kind of behavior is still here with us in 2022. Side note: It could have been a mere coincidence but the fact that you don’t see any colored people trying to get into a big club like Europa on a busy day is quite a statement on its own, Maybe I am new in town and my observation is inaccurate but this is my honest review.

Paid for my and my friends jacket and got only ONE CHIP. When we left, they told us that we lost one cause we should habw two chips for two jakets. I told them that we only got one but they didnt listen. Then I had to PAY to get my northface puffer back. The food was tasty and well presented. The fries were of the bog-standard industrial type. The service was half-hearted. 50c for butter to go with your €3.50 bretzel, and €1 for a tablespoonful of mayonnaise for your fries (which wasn't made clear on the menu) - a disappointingly cynical pricing model. The beer (dunkle) was good. However I was drawn by the promise of craft beer served in a brewery. All I could see available were fruit beers and an IPA, but the staff weren't interested in talking about them, and I don't think the establishment has seen a live brewer in quite a while (the lovely copper brewing vessels looked a little forlorn.) The garden area is a lovely place to sit and enjoy your refreshments.

The food is absolutely delicious, not big selection of beer though and the service could be better. Still the place is quite nice and would recommend to visit.

Had "Spitzkohl" - regional cabbage with minced Meat. AND excellent service, very friendly and competent. Lucky to visit the place.

Very nice and helpful personnel, a really clean and welcoming restaurant. The meals are excellent and the schnitzel were cooked to perfection. Albrecht offered a very pleasant experience with good draft beer and a variety of vegetarian and very meaty dishes! Staff is very friendly and helpful and the place offers a nice pub/brewery-ish atmosphere. Ideal for an evening out with friends!

Steaks amazing on the hot stone. great food fantastic prices. Staff are always attentive card and cash accepted. Loads of screens and staff happy to accomadate your preference of sport if they are able to show it. All you care to eat nights and super discount nights through out the week. Discounted cocktails certain times most nights. Great place for rowdy beers or casual catch ups over sports.

All you can ribs on a Monday, all you can eat wings on a Wednesday for €14.90. Drinks are expensive. Main gripe is the service. Everything takes far, FAR too long. Orders get messed up. Then when the meal is done, there is no-one available to pay the bill to. In short: good food, expensive drinks, really bad service.

We happened to visit on BINGO night, which was fun, but way too long. The menu is typical pub fare ( hamburgers, fries, cocktails, etc) and is average quality. Good location for young and young at heart. Probably best to make a reservation on games night's.

This is my first time at the bar and I order an espresso martini. When the waiter comes to collect the money, he informs me that it costs 13.50 euros. I give him a banknote of 20 and he gives me back 5. When I ask why I am not getting change for 6.5, he says “oh, would you not want to tip the bartender for his services?” And when I say that I need my euro back, he insultingly answers that he can give me back 2 euros if I need them. A peculiar sense of humor? Perhaps. Still, it comes across as rude and unprofessional.

A decent place with a good atmosphere. The menu items were good if a but limited and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not a place you'd visit for good food but rather a good time with your friends, although I don't have much complaints about the food itself. It sees a lot of foot traffic so better reserve a table if you are coming in a group. Yhe prices were a bit on higher end, but nothing unreasonable.

A nice little spot. The double smash burger was delicious. One of the nicest burgers I've ever had. The one quibble I had was that they charged 2 EUR for ketchup and mayonnaise. The prices are already expensive - which is OK for quality food - but 2 EUR extra for ketchup is really pushing it.

Honestly… bad. We ordered the smashed burger(15.7€) with a side of sweet potato fries (5.5€)and mayo dip(2€). Too expensive and not tasty or satisfying enough. The burger was with not enough meet so the main flavor was mayo. The mayo dip was just bad, had a very fishy flavor. And the fries… regular, at least have some salt on the table.

A friendly, fun and inviting spot. The burgers are world class. For a solo traveler that does not speak German, Bielefeld is not world’s most warm-hearted place. The Good Hood was, however, the perfect spot to relax, chat to locals and grab a delicious dinner. Highly recommended!

€15 for two beers?! Absolutely shocking, especially when they're local beers that don't require transporting. Also, the price on the menu said €4 so I assumed it wouldn't be much more than that for the large size (0.4l). When I questioned the price, the woman just shrugged and said it was because they're craft beers. Absolutely not acceptable. I've enjoyed the atmosphere there in the past, hence the 2 stars but will definitely ask staff for the prices before I order if I ever go back.

Fantastic experience. it's literally tons of sand, dumped on a car park roof, with cut up iso containers and pallets. Best bar for sunny weather. Didn't give five stars as the q system for the bar is not the best. But I will be back time and again. Flip flops recommended. feel beach chill in the heart of Bielefeld.

They were very accommodating. The backyard is great, the music - they turn it up the later it gets and do special requests. The bartender also moonlights as the DJ basically a one man show but if you go with a good group of friends the vibe is great!

The furniture is heavily worn down but that contributes to the places charm. Live music is played on the weekends, mostly metal and hardcore stuff. Huge bonus is that they have a forest in there little beergarden.

There was a band playing, everything was awesome! I don't know the name, but the quality was great. The terrace is super nice. You can have a very nice conversation. Whatevers the weather is, you will have a good time.

Limited menu, but great place. We got there early one night and the one guy working was a bit difficult to talk to but as the night got busier and more people were on shift it was much nicer with a fantastic atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant inside a renovated church. The decoration was gorgeous, the food on point and service was fast. It is a bit on the pricier side for German standards (according to my German partner) but worth it for a romantic night out.

Way too pretentious. The atmosphere is very nice because it's inside a new/old church. But the food was very disappointing, and considering the price (which was extremely high for Bielefeld standard) i at least expected quality ingredients. There was no quality, and i didn't like much the combination of ingredients either. The service was okay, but thought not professional enough (again, considering what you pay for). I definitely do not recommend, unless money is no problem and you want to dine in a church.

Decent Indian food. The afternoon "Thali" is a good deal which gives you a taste of 3 different Indian curries and rice along with standard Indian style condiments. However i must say, i have had much better Indian food at comparable prices in other parts of the world. But the lack of Indian restaurants in Bielefeld makes it quite acceptable.

I am no connoisseur but I have seen my share of "Sushi Places". If you want fast food sushi, maki or other varieties.... look elsewhere. If you want good savoury sushi, this is an excellent alternative.

I’m Japanese, so I guess I do have a high standard when it comes to Sushi. The design and atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. I did see respect for Japanese culture here and there, and it was very pleasant:) However… Their sushi wasn’t good; the rice (we call it “Shari”) was not authentic, and the fish was not fresh enough to serve with such a high price. I understand the fish quality can vary from day to day, depending when you get the stock. However, it was just not acceptable at all for that price. For sushi, Shari/rice is just as important as the fish. The rice has to be cooked with just the right amount of water, and most sushi restaurants in Germany tends to put way too much water that makes the Shari extremely sticky, almost gooey even. The concept and where they’re aiming for feels pretty authentic, so please do follow an authentic Japanese recipe when making Shari, and please try not to be cheap when it comes to raw fish and they way of defrosting and storing the fish makes so much difference in the taste. I HIGHLY recommend their Matcha ice cream though. Most matcha ice cream in Germany have less Matcha flavor to it and they often taste bland, but this… I wanted to buy this for myself, so I even asked the staff where they purchase this from. The staff there were friendly and charming:) Although their sushi which is the main dish in the restaurant is a critical problem, I could see their efforts in other parts, so I am giving them overall a 3/5 stars.

We complained to the waitress and the owner, but they only reheated one dish and ignored the other. We expected fresh and quality dishes. They did not apologize or offer any compensation. Very unprofessional behaviour of the stuff. Food is quite simple and much overpriced for such quality. The toilet looks very bad like for the place with such level of price. And a very strange moment happened to us with the waiter - it was half food left on our plates when the waiter came and unexpectedly, very fast, without any questions started to grab oil, vinegar, salt and pepper from our table.
