Just tried this small bar on a Sunday early afternoon and what can I say : no “hello” or any kind of greetings once you enter, very slow service and not very friendly, no “goodbye” nor “thank you” when we left the place. I’m not expecting to have conversations with the staff of the place where I’m going to eat but at least the greetings and the kindness that you are suppose to give to people when you work in a restaurant business are the BASE, especially in nowadays when everything is bloody expensive. So, yes the name Mellow is not only a name, I guess it’s the state of mind of the stuff.

Nicest little restaurant ever ! The owner should sit on the comedy stage ... but he's a great cook and invents the most delicious dishes.... Limited number of places and it's practical to reserve a table.

There are not many places in Bielefeld like this: Being stylish and not too noisy at the same time, with cool people hanging around. Great drinks & food! Has a changing menue with lots of vegan & vegetarian stuff. Delicious! ✨

The atmosphere is really nice and the staff friendly, but if it comes to vegan breakfast some of the employees don't really know or highlight that some of the served food isn't vegan.

Each time I go to Bielefeld I go to Kraume. Always delicious. especially the pastries. Very nice. This time my gf had the soup, a pea soup. Ltaer I found out it was cold. I mean she said right away that the bowl was cold, but not that the soup was cold. Altough a soup should be steaming hot, you should literally see the steam escaping. That was not the case. Still I dont find out till later it was cold, otherwise I would have said something. I mean it was 9 euros. For freezing cold soup. I do not know the laws in Germany but in other countries a dish needs to reach a certain temperature for health reasons. My Gf didnt feel well and dint want to make a fuzz. Still I gladly would have done it for her. We always love it there. This is very very disappointing. How difficult is it to warm up a coup of soup? The waitress should have noticed it even. I mean I worked 20+ years in restaurants, as a server you know when something is hot or cold. I ordered a piece of cake 6 Euro. Cake was small. It used to be bigger. I also asked for a addional fork so my Gf could taste. The fork never came. This is my last time that I will come to Kraume. Knigge again next time.

The food was amazing and the terrace is very comfortable. The chocolate is expensive but the cake/pies were surprisingly cheap.

The cafe was busy on a Tuesday morning. Many people getting their to go coffees and students sitting with their laptops inside. The service was very fast and effective. It could have been friendlier. I had a flat white and it was good. There are plenty of seats inside, and if the weather is good many chairs and seats outside on the street. There are glasses and water bottles for self service.

I really enjoyed the latte macchiato, it was smooth and well made. The atmosphere was nice, but the high chairs weren’t very comfortable for sitting long. I also tried a lemon cookie, which wasn’t really to my taste.
