Brewpub
Brewhouse & Kitchen in Sutton Coldfield offers a relaxed dining experience with a variety of global pub dishes and house-brewed beers. The menu features classic dishes like burgers, small plates, and Sunday roasts, catering to the whole family. The establishment boasts an extensive selection of freshly-brewed craft beers as well as cocktails and wines. While dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area, the bar and beer garden with its own bar provide a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
My very first stop in Sutton ever! Dan the day bartender was absolutely amazing. Very honest with his description of the food as well as the recommendations. I was in Sutton for 3 days and ended up going there all 3 days. The night supervisor is also amazing. Made me try a German beer with a very smoked finish. Absolutely loved this place.

Visited on 20th of July 24 for a family get together and meal due to it being dog friendly. Upon arriving they didn't have our booking in the diary, but managed to fit us in. Tried to use their QR code drinks ordering, after 15 minute wait had to go the bar to find out where the drinks were, apparently the tickets fall on the floor and get missed so didn't use this service again. Food was ordered, the first dishes came out, one went back twice due to first being wrong, second time it was cold. We also received other dishes that weren't ours so sent those back. Mains came out and I would advise not having the chicken burger as all 3 of us felt they were small, dry and over cooked. Simply put the food was terrible, I'd go as far to say its probably worse than anything I've even been served in a Wetherspoons and its been a few years since I had to eat in one of those. I certainly will not be visiting another Brewhouse and Kitchen as it seems the chain has really fallen down, its pretty sad as first visited this place when it opened and had a great experience. Another thing to note the male toilets had two broken urinals, they were flooded like swamp and smelt of urine. The state they are in I would say they shouldn't even be open as it's dangerous and unhygienic. Drinks wise, the house brewed pils was decent, the Best Bitter looked like mud, and the listed guest beers of Steady and Lightbulb were not available even though listed on the menus. Certainly wouldn't recommend this venue to anyway, even though the staff were pretty friendly, if not a bit incompetent.

Bit of a let down. Searched this place out after looking for somewhere to eat yesterday. First impression is great, beautiful building and an actual in-house brewery. Decent selection of beers and wines, the menu looks really good. Now the downside, if you order from the app or the staff, the wait for drinks is painfully slow! I actually asked if they are short staffed and the girl said no! I understand it’s tricky to staff a Saturday afternoon but long waits for drinks isn’t acceptable. The food is ok, was hoping for much more, but sadly not, pork belly was overdone, crab cakes the crab had run off! The ipa steamed chicken had a nice skin but the sauce was lacking! The steak 🥩 was probably the best of everything, nicely seasoned and tasty. Staffing issues are a big issue for me

Huge thanks to the staff for accommodating our large Xmas party. 50 people were fed twice over with the excellent buffet and the bar staff were so good at serving over 70 people with drinks. The manager was so helpful and managed all our changes and updates and the decorations we bought. Already talk of when the next party will be….

Came today after seeing the Sunday roasts when we were last in and being compelled to try them! We absolutely weren’t disappointed. They were delicious: very generous portion sizes, high quality ingredients and excellent value for money. Lily - our server- was absolutely lovely from start to finish. She welcomed us at the start and gave us options of seating. She was especially accommodating with our pushchair and gave us options where we would have enough room for that. She was attentive and kept checking back to see if we had everything we needed. She was clearly working very hard as she was behind the bar and bringing food to tables but not once did she let her exceptional service slip. Thank you Lily for making our experience enjoyable. We will be back!

Nice outlet for Brewhouse & Kitchen. Served by friendly chatty staff and the real ale / cider I tried was good. Furnished in the B&K style (of course !) with the brewery kit on the right as you enter. Not sure if brewery in operation at time of writing - sometimes ales shared between sites. Nice to chat to a couple of regulars (pictured) we compared notes on the B&K Gloucester Docks ... and other Gloucester pubs ...

Atmosphere relaxing. Gardens at the back. Cosy. Wooden everything. I love wood. High seats. Low seats. Brass vats of beer. Beer making days. Staff very friendly . Oh and the beer is great. I like legend the best :) even the piano had personality

Great place 1st time there. Popped in while passing for a beer or two. Tom was alone behind the bar. He greeted us very politely and was courteous. He explained what beers they make & what is what. We were guided by him in our choices & he was bang on. Tom was pleasant, polite and most helpful. We had no intentions of dinning but did share a Key lime pie that was to die for. The menu was not just pizza & burgers there are a lot of great healthier choices too all reasonably priced. The outside is amazing. Will we go again? YES!!! Only negative we found was there are no litter bins in the garden.

Quinto Lounge, located in Sutton Coldfield, England, offers an exquisite fusion menu that will delight your taste buds. From the vibrant 'bang bang chicken' to delectable treats like blueberry and lemon drizzle cake, there's something for everyone. The restaurant and bar provide an intimate ambiance with warm hospitality for an unforgettable dining experience. With a cozy home-like feel and unique salvaged interior furnishings including lights from a Soviet battleship, Quinto Lounge is popular among locals.
I've been here quite a lot especially over the past couple years, before I even went vegan -- I'm surprised I haven't left a review left, regardless, the staff are all super friendly and the atmosphere is lovely, especially on the occasional candlelit evening they have. I come here if I want to go a place I know is consistently tasty with a long list of vegan options and fast, efficient but kind service. The main thing that draws my partner and I in aside are the fact they are pet friendly (we bring our cats here) and the evening open mics every other Tuesday as these are both things that make us want to keep on returning. I have also been here with a friend who has several allergens (to name the ones I know off my head shellfish, soya, crustaceans, peanuts and mango) and he has had a positive experience with the team when ordering as they were able to work with his allergens and ensure that everything was safe for him to eat -- not only did they do this through verbal confirmation at the bar but they also have an online allergen matrix which is regularly updated with the allergens of every item on the menu which is super helpful for people with allergens in their party to be able to check what they can eat prior to visiting. The photos attached are taken from various different visits.

Ordered a breakfast with scrambled eggs (the exact way we were told to order it at the last lounge we went to) and even checked with the server that we’d ordered scrambled eggs, not fried. We watched the chef send the server back over to us to correct us and ended up being spoken to like an idiot when we received one scrambled and one fried egg. The “scrambled” egg was just an overdone fried egg, the avodaco was old and browning and the coffees we waited 15 minutes for were burnt and bitter. I have low standards for coffee but this wasn’t even drinkable with syrup in it. Poor staff were clearly understaffed and struggling as customers were wiping their own tables and the one lad kept telling people he was doing his best. It’s obviously not their fault but lounges charging over £40 for 2 meals of such awful quality, when they make more than enough money to have more staff to deliver better standards, should be criminal

Freind and I had brunch. The food and desserts were good. Restaurant and toilets were clean. Nice relaxed atmosphere and freindly staff. There is no designated parking, but free parking on the side roads on Sundays.

Really good location plenty off parking, £2.00 for 5 hours on a Sunday, greeted and seated quickly, ordered on app at table, food was very very nice full off flavour excellent poached eggs, all staff were friendly, sat upstairs as downstairs was almost full, definitely recommend!

Good menu range. We went at lunch time on a Wednesday and unfortunately. The food took ages to come and it was cold when it arrived, so had been sat on the side for quite a while before they brought it over to the table.
Kay — Google review
That was quite possibly the best breakfast muffin I've ever had. Update. The eggs benedict/Lounge Eggs were blooming lovely also. A slight negative with a big chip in the milk jug. And the teeeeeny tiny teacup that was nearly as small as the milk jug 😂 Could we perhaps have the option of a mug? Three sips and its gone!

Called in to meet some family while in the area. Had a few non alcoholic drinks and coffees and brunch. Service and food was all very good. Good atmosphere in the place and even though it was getting quite busy it never felt too busy.

This charming eatery boasts a lush garden for outdoor dining, making it an ideal choice for those warm summer evenings. Known for its commitment to quality, Romantica serves up authentic Italian dishes crafted from the freshest ingredients.
This restaurant is perfect for date night, offering a charming ambiance and attentive service. The food was delicious, adding to the overall delightful experience. The manager, who seemed to be in charge, was funny and made us feel very welcome ( we even in Spanish and French🤣). Despite living in the area, this was our first visit, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was cozy, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening. The staff’s attentiveness ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning for another visit in the future.

Visited on an impromptu evening out and they managed to fit us in straight away. It’s a lovely big restaurant with plenty of space and very welcoming staff. Although we thought it was a little pricey compared to other restaurants we’ve been to we did really enjoyed the food and I must say the pork belly was incredible!

The ambience, service, and food at this restaurant were just beautiful. My partner and I casually visited this place and had the best date ever. It almost felt like we were in Europe. We will definitely go back again. This restaurant is certainly one of our top three favourites.

Just been for lunch with three others to celebrate a birthday. As usual, food and service perfect. Staff even sang happy birthday with a candle on the pudding for the person who's birthday it was. The staff here are always so lovely and friendly. Thank you , it really is appreciated.

Nice food and really great service. Perhaps a bit pricey
Dale C — Google review
Had a lovely dinner last night at Romantica. It's always worth spending a little more for good quality food. While they did have a few fabulous specials on, I decided to go with the lamb chops instead. There are no side dishes with the main meal, one is required to order each item separately. I decided on mushrooms and dauphinoise. The dessert menu looked amazing, but due to the large portions, even though I only ate half, there wasn't any space for a morsel of dessert. I would have preferred a smaller portion. I know some restaurants offer a lady's portion, but in today's society that may no longer be politically correct, however true. The glass of Merlot wasn't a great choice, not for my palate. The staff were friendly and attentive, and children were made to feel welcome. A pleasant dinner.

Nestled in the heart of Sutton Coldfield, Eleon is a charming Greek restaurant and meze bar that captures the essence of traditional Greek dining. This family-run gem offers an exceptional culinary experience with its beautifully crafted dishes and outstanding service. The highlight here is undoubtedly the Meze feast, where you can indulge in 21 delightful dishes ranging from Pork Souvlaki to Baklava for just £27.50 per person—perfect for those who love to share!
Eleon greek restaurant in Sutton Coldfield is truly an authentic experience. We were greeted by Stathis the owner and he was very hospitable. The atmosphere is wonderful and you'll be shocked looking from outside how big this place is. The food was exceptional and presented beautifully. Highly recommend the Kleftiko Mediterranean lamb shank dish.
R C — Google review
A very solid eating experience with good flavours and great service. We opted for the set menu (look for the little olive tree symbol) and by the end of it we were all stuffed. The food was freshly prepared and if you've not had greek food before, I would recommend it as a great place to start exploring the cuisine. From the outside the place looks small but it does extend further back and looked to be hosting a rather large party when we attended but the food was brought out promptly and the wait staff checked up on us regularly for drinks and food. I would recommend booking a table though rather than just walking in as I can imagine it does get quite busy. There is limited on street parking directly outside and considering it's Sutton, parking generally can be a bit of a nightmare so bear this in mind.

We dined in for our anniversary and as late on a Sunday it was a little quiet but we couldn’t fault it at all. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more lovely especially Marcus/marcoco, so polite, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be looking to return hopefully with some friends.

Nice atmosphere, and beautiful interior and decor. However we just sat at our table for what felt like forever and never got served so we just left. The restaurant only had 5,6 tables of folk and only 1 set of folk eating so was a bit strange. Maybe we'll get better service next time!!

Nestled in the heart of the community, the White Horse is a quintessential British pub that perfectly blends sports and comfort food. With multiple screens showcasing live action every week, it’s an ideal spot for sports enthusiasts to gather. The menu features a delightful array of grills and global comfort dishes, ensuring there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who go above and beyond to make your experience memorable—like when they surprised a guest celebrating their son's birthday!
Have been there lots of times in recent years. No problems, always good meals and good prices. Watched sports usually with my wife, either for me or my wife depending on who's playing. Sizzling meals are awesome, my favourite! My wife had a "kids" meal this time as she was not too hungry. Both good meals on our last visit, thanks! X
Mark L — Google review
If I could give a zero rating I would. Visited today. Sat inside. Ordered 2 x hunters chicken, one on a sizzling plate, and one just on a plate as I don't like onions. They both came on plates, even though one was ordered as a sizzler. To my disgust there was a huge pile of what looked like boiled onions under the chicken, see my photo. There was no cheese on the hunters chicken and minimal BBQ sauce. It would appear who ever is cooking the meals, clearly has no idea what they are doing, presentation skills leave a little to be desired. There's absolutely nothing sizzling about this pub!!!! and most certainly will not be visiting again.

I phoned and booked a table for my daughter’s birthday. There was supposed to be 11adults but ended up at 9 adults. When I booked the table for 7:30 I was not told the kitchen closed at 9 pm. So from the moment we arrived we felt pressured to get our order in straight away. Didn’t get time to order a drink and browse menu properly. People felt hurried. Food itself was really good it came out hot and everyone enjoyed their meal. But problem was that from about 10/10:15 a lady kept coming in to where we were seated hovering around and making it very obvious that she was waiting for us to leave. She was not impressed when a drink was ordered around 10 ish. Pub hours are until 11 pm unless otherwise stated which they were nt. I myself run pubs for years and this is not how to do it. Everyone felt uneasy and pressured to drink up and get out because she wanted to close. The youngest in our group was 38 and the eldest was 93. We were in no way a group of volatile people. So from being rushed to order our food and feeling rushed to leave it spoilt a family birthday night. So on my experience the food was great no complaints but the atmosphere and attitude from this lady was not good. Our food bill was around £130 and our round of drinks was about £47/48. So we spent some money so no excuse for making us feel they way we did. So for me I would not be returning there.
Barb F — Google review
We ate today , most of our group seemed quite content with their food but I wasn't. All of the meat on my xl mixed grill was massively over cooked, especially the 8oz steak that asked to be cooked rare . I used to be head chef there about 15 years ago and I would of been embarrassed to have sent that out . Plus it was missing the sausage and only 2 onion rings . Definitely not worth £17 . Shame really as the staff were very polite and friendly. I've got a picture of the steak as reference but unable to upload it ...

We visited on Tuesday 28th October as a group of 11 people. We had come straight from sutton Coldfield crematorium after scattering my aunties ashes, it was a very sad day and we had decided to go for a drink and a meal afterwards. On ordering all.our drinks from the bar, my daughter was asked for her ID, she does look very young due to her autism and learning difficulties, however, she does have a post office issued citizen ID card to prove her age, she is 23. The staff took her ID from her, and studied it for a while, because the holographic pass mark had rubbed off, i pointed them to the QR code on the back of the card which pulls all the details up online. However, it would seem that this wasn't sufficient as proof of age, a legally issued ID card that has to be verified in the same way as a passport was not enough proof of age. Staff were arrogant and rude and obviously not well trained, therefore we took out £400 food order elsewhere. My daughter has never had trouble with her ID in any other pub and for staff to blame it on Greene King policy was utterly ridiculous she has visited many Greene King pubs and never had an issue. So much advice, even if you think you have official ID, they're not trained to recognise it 😡

What a well run establishment. My love and I have been twice now and both times, it’s busy, but we’ve still found seating and the food has been served quickly. Oh my word today their soup of the day was delicious and the toasted ciabatta was absolutely marvellous 🤤. Coffee is superb and their prices are really decent . The staff all welcoming and helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending Blackfoot Bistro to anyone thinking of going there for a meal or a snack. Indoor and outdoors seating available too😊 Nope I don’t own shares in the company but I do believe credit is due to the deserved. 👍🏼☺️

Beautiful Bistro in Sutton Park with a good selection of food and drink. Lovely to be able to sit outside in the sun in such a pretty place. The service was quite quick and friendly. The food was tasty but wasn’t offered or shown where to find condiments. As someone new to the area I’d definitely go again.

Had a long walk around Sutton Park and decided to take a seat outside and order some food and a drink. There was 5 of us and 6 doggies. You have to order at the till as didn’t seem to be table service which is fine. Long queue that moved quickly and food was prompt on a ticket system. We all ordered a hot drink, my hot chocolate with cream and marsh mellows was lovely, followed by the all day breakfast. Others ordered the chicken wraps and the halloumi. Would definitely visit again. They were also advertising live music etc in the evenings.

Delicious food recommend the bacon sandwich n children's breakfast very yummy. Friendly service, very dog friendly outside to sit. Love a white hot chocolate in the winter. Lovely walks around into the woods and around the lake. We went bk in the summer - We went for breakfast this morning not long after they opened, 5 ppl we all had different variations of a bacon sandwich with different bread n crispyness and they got everyone right and all were delicious. They do a yummy latte too. We sat outside, they have got some shady areas under paracels front n back but still some sunny spots too and they are dog friendly with water bowls ( outside tap to top up the bowls). You get a number ticket when you order at the till, can't take dogs or pushchairs inside du to the limited indoor seating but all welcome outside. Lots of seating outside does get very busy, plenty of parking does get busy as well. There are lots of walking trails around on both sides of the cafe and places for the doggies to dip in the lake or down by the stream.

Met with friends for our monthly breakfast club. The place was buzzing at 10.30 on this beautiful Autumn morning. Plenty of parking in this exclusive 4 Oaks area of Sutton Coldfield. Fortunately we booked a table. The menu was spot on and I had the breakfast wrap. Unusually they don't do scrambled eggs which was a surprise for my colleague. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The food was great as were the drinks. The Bistro is just a couple of minutes walk to one of the picturesque lakes.

Lovely bistro in the park, can get very busy, but there are plenty of staff to help the queue move quickly and serve food too. Food is very nice, with lots of allergy free foods on offer. There is a toilet inside, but only one, so expect queue for the toilet. Lots of places to sit inside and out. Parking is close by too, so the bistro is very accessible to all.

Absolutely lovely little gem in Sutton park. The food was excellent, service fantastic. Great setting with both indoor and outdoor seating. Large car park as well. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend to come here for food or just a snack.

Located just north of Birmingham City, Slug & Lettuce - Sutton Coldfield is a trendy bar offering a diverse menu of global classics and an extensive cocktail list. The venue serves breakfast until 12pm and features a weekday lunch offer with selected meals at 5 pounds.
Lovely, food, venue, and cocktail deal 2 for 1 = £13. We went on a Friday night for a meal with friends. Lovely steak meal with peppercorn sauce. Everyone enjoyed it. It was definitely one of the best steaks we have ever had. All the 'Starters' were nice too. The fish starter dish was worth waiting for as freshly cooked. The bao bun starter l tried was okay, but the fried bao bun was too greasy for me. lt was selected for me by a friend who enjoys them, so maybe that is how they are prepared here. We only tried one dessert, the caramel cheesecake bites, which were hot, sweet, and soft, so more like a moose than a cheesecake as they had no biscuit base. There was lovely music after 9 pm and an area for dancing, creating a lovely atmosphere, within the nice decor. Our favourite meals were the steak and the fish starter, so nice, it would definitely be somewhere we would return to.

Came here Friday for flamingo bingo with a group of around 20. Nice venue, decorated nicely. Toilets were clean. Good selection of drinks on offer and service was quick at the bar. The flamingo bingo was good, although I did think that it would be longer. Only 1 game of classic bingo and then a game of music bingo. It was all over quite quickly although it was fun whilst it lasted! We had a good night. Didn't have any food but the food that was ordered by others did look good. My only other comment is that the music did not cater for everyone. Up until about 10 o clock it was busy and everyone was dancing and having a good time as the music was varied. After that the music changed and the place emptied out very quickly! Overall a good night but flamingo bingo needs to be on for longer.

We went as a group of 3 for the bottemless evening brunch. We was never left without an empty glass. Staff were very attentive and made sure we had more drinks on the way. Would definitely recommend for a Saturday evening. Our server Kye was brilliant, made our night and accommodated to all our needs. (Our food hadn’t come out after a while wait and as soon as we made him aware Kye sorted us out) The food was hot and tasty upon arrival and the atmosphere was great and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Visited for the first time for my birthday with friends and did the bottomless. The food choices were good although I would have like the option of starter or dessert included. The drinks selection was excellent and our server Nav was incredible and really looked after us! Also love the deco!

This place was an absolute joke. We came for brunch at Slug & Lettuce Sutton Coldfield and honestly, it felt like we’d been robbed. • 20 minutes just standing there with no one greeting us or taking an order. • Then another 25 minutes waiting for food that looked (and tasted) like it had been cooked by someone dragged in off the street. • Burnt bacon, burnt sausage, bread so tough it could break a tooth. Zero quality, zero care. And the kicker? They charge premium prices for this trash. Absolute rip-off. Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Save your money and your patience — anywhere else will be better than this disaster.

We had the bottomless brunch and our experience was just lovely. Our waitress was Nav, she was so attentive from beginning to end and with a lovely smile making us feel very welcome! What a credit she is to the staff team! If only more people were like her making visit so lovely! Thank you so much, please share this with her :)

Had bottomless brunch here, and we were really pleased. More than enough to drink and the cocktails were lovely, didn’t skimp on the alcohol! Didn’t have to keep asking for more drinks as we were well looked after and ended the day a little more than tipsy! Although it wasn’t a three course menu the food that we did have was fab and the alcohol made up for it! Waiter Pete was especially lovely and very attentive to our group. Would definitely recommend

Station Sutton Coldfield is a classic pub with unique events like comedy nights and live music. The area around the station is known for its second-hand shops, offering great bargains. One highlight is The ReUsers, which rescues and recycles second-hand items. The pub offers an extensive bottomless brunch menu and a good selection of beers. It's conveniently located near lush parkland, Birmingham, the NEC, and major transport links.
Great place, great vibes. This a great bar to go to with mates, I watched the boxing match here, there are screens everywhere, even outdoors. The outdoor heaters are amazing too. I had some vegan dish too which were bang on. I'll be going again

Had a fabulous time today and thoroughly enjoyed our bottomless brunch. Niamh was so lovely and attentive, really represented Station well ☺️ the drinks and the food were superb! The mushrooms were overdone a bit but no other issues at all! We are really, really looking forward to coming back soon. P:S the outside seating area is stunning!

We visited the Station as part of our Sutton ale tour trip. If you're searching for a pub in Sutton Coldfield that delivers on atmosphere, The Station is your spot. This venue now boasts a vibrant interior and a spacious, heated beer garden, making it a year-round destination. The Station offers a dynamic weekly line-up of events, including open mic nights, quiz nights, and live DJ sets from the garden's balcony stage. With multiple HD screens, anti-glare TVs in the beer garden.. The menu caters to a variety of tastes, featuring crowd-pleasers like Detroit-style pizzas, juicy burgers, and crispy wings, with options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. Pair your meal with a selection from their extensive range of craft beers, ciders, and 2-for-1 cocktails. Whether you're in the mood for a relaxed afternoon in the beer garden or an energetic evening with live entertainment, The Station provides a welcoming and lively environment. Highly recommended!

Went for the bottomless brunch on 29th with 2 friends. From the time we were seated our waitress Helena made sure we were all looked after. Our drinks were never left empty within our 2 hour booking. Helena kept an eye on our table drinks were kept topped up without ever having to ask. The food was delicious and freshly cooked, and served quickly. Overall top notch service would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

The place has a great atmosphere and really good vibes, which is a shame because the men's toilets are absolutely vile—they smell awful and are clearly not maintained. It honestly puts you off wanting to come back. If they can’t keep the toilets clean, it makes you question whether the kitchen meets proper hygiene standards too.

Went in for Wing Wednesday - not the biggest wings but service was efficient, pleasant and honest. We smashed though 65 of them and then bought two pizzas - so they aren't the most filling but as an impromptu afternoon out, lovely! And there was some live music which is always a winner

Spanish restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Sutton Coldfield, Migas Tapas and Wine Bar is a delightful homage to Spanish cuisine, brought to life by Emma Yufera-Ruiz, who previously owned El Borracho de Oro. This charming venue occupies the former Don Diego restaurant space and exudes an authentic Spanish wine bar vibe. Guests can savor freshly hand-carved Iberico ham while enjoying a diverse menu filled with delectable tapas options.
A traditional Spanish restaurant located in the centre of Sutton Coldfield. As I entered the sweet sound of Spanish was uttered by students learning the basics during the Saturday lessons. I was calmly seeing to my table and presented with a menu with an excellent choice of tapas options. The humble Spanish staff assisted with my selection. They were happy to prepare a paella too (which you usually need to preorder in other places). Quality of food was excellent. Loved the decor and relaxed atmosphere.
David C — Google review
Nice traditional Spanish themed atmosphere, although if you are sat in the side part of the restaurant, you do feel like you are dining in a conservatory. Food is average, priced accordingly, but nothing to write home about. Dishes are served in small amounts so order at least 4 plates if you want to feel satisfied. I expected the seafood paella to be the star of the show, but it was quite the opposite. Poorly seasoned, the prawns were rationed and the octopus was like rubber. You will wait for the food to come out in stages, others on your table will be waiting while you eat yours which is annoying. I know this is how tapas works , but why serve tables that were seated after yours with dishes before completing the first table? Drinks took their time too during a not very busy period. Didn't seem like there was too much communication between the waiting staff and the bar staff. Worth a try and it's obviously down to your own standards and taste to how you much you will like Migas, but I expected a bit more.

This is a lovely restaurant. We went tot lunch and shared a variety of tapas and puddings. All the food was great quality and expertly prepared. Waitress that served us was very attentive, very personable and great with my two children. Really good value for the food and service we received!
Sarah B — Google review
To be fair, one of their waiters had let them down at the last minute, so they said. We felt that the service was slow. We had to send one of the dishes back as it was well below expectations. The olives and wine were delicious but, as I say, a couple of the tapas dishes were below par. Shame really because they are independent and Spanish run. Maybe it was just a bad night for them but sometimes, you only get one chance...

I went with my family on a Sunday and ordered 9 tapas to share between the three of us. We were not disappointed. Calamari were nice and crispy, croquettes were really tasty, we tried the black pudding with scallops for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Monkfish skewers, Padron peppers and 'huevos rotos'...all very nice. I love the place, it feels like being at home (I am from Spain). It is such a nice spot in Sutton and this is my forth - but not last - visit!

Looked forward to returning to this restaurant after many happy meals there in the past before it r-opened and whilst out table was booked at 8.30pm and we arrived 10 minutes late we wee astonished to be told that the kitchen closed at 9pm and we would have to order immediately. For a tapas meal, where we may want to re-order any dish that we liked we found this way too early and decided to leave and eat elsewhere, Very disappointing and to close the kitchen at 9pm very shortsighted on behalf of the new owners. I am sure the food is very good but sorry we didn’t’t have chance to sample it because of the fore mentioned points. especially for

Really enjoyed my Tapas. After working as a restaurant manager for two years myself in a tapas bar in the mailbox and then digbeth, I couldn't wait to compare. It's local. Friendly. They do Spanish speaking on Wednesdays for all levels which I think is lovely for the community. Spanish omelette was bang on.

We haven't been to the Butlers Arms for some time sort was really great to find that nothing had changed the welcome fantastic and sincere, the service and food superb we could not fault it (the baked feta was amazing) and the atmosphere warm and safe. We will definitely not leave it as long for our next visit. Thank you Becky and team

We came to this pub after a great day watching the British Masters golf for my father-in-laws birthday. Welcomed and served by Tom and the team, we enjoyed an exceptional meal. I had the scallops and the sole from the fish menu and Phil had the filet steak. To follow I had the ice cream with port and Phil had the cheeseboard. Each dish was fantastic and matched by the service. We ate on a Saturday evening and wanted to come back the following day - gutted they don’t open Sunday evening. Can’t remember a better meal and can’t recommend highly enough. Outstanding.

Great experience. Welcoming staff and very nice service. Outstanding mussels to start, as good as we've had at our favourite seaside restaurant in Ireland. The king prawns for main were also fantastic. Thank you.

We’d been ‘table 8’ before and came back again - it was brilliant, we had whitebait, fish cakes and heritage tomatoes to start - I’d struggle to choose a favourite as they were all superb. We then had the lamb, haddock, hake to follow. Finally cheese selection and crumble - the whole meal was perfect. The food was insanely good, the service was lovely. Cannot wait to return - highly recommended!!! Great wine choices as well xx

Our first visit, definitely won't be the last!! Plenty of choice from 3 menus, we went for the a la carte. Staff were very helpful and attentive, food was delicious and portion size was just right. The one thing I would recommend is booking a table, there were no spares on the night that we went (Tuesday) All in all, a brilliant night, can recommend it to everyone (especially if you like fishy dishes 😊)

We have been here twice this week to celebrate special family occasions, our golden wedding anniversary on Saturday and our grandson's 21st birthday today. On both occasions we have had great service and the food has been excellent! We were a group of 15 on Saturday and 11 tonight and the food has been served to all of us with good timing, nobody had to wait for their meals even though we were a big group. We could not fault anything Saturday was our first experiences of eating here and we enjoyed it so much we went back tonight, we will be going back again!!

Birthday meal for two. We shared a starter of scallops followed by sea bass fillets and the hake fillet. Both main courses were excellent and very tasty. A share cheese board for sweet which had a good selection of cheese but not overwhelming portions. Would definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit

Yes, yes and YES!!! An incredibly easy five star review, even though it's extremely rare for me to hand out five stars. When I visit a restaurant, I primarily want good food, after that I'm looking for pleasant service from the staff, and as a cherry on top, if the value for money is good, I certainly won't complain. The Butlers Arms had it all, with more to spare. This was probably some of the best food I've ever had at a 'pub'. The flavours were excellent, the food arrived piping hot and I genuinely felt like I was having a home cooked meal, which means everything tasted freshly prepared. The service blew me away too, the ladies and the gentleman who served us were on fire!! Nothing but smiles, polite manners and an extremely accommodating attitude. When they were not serving us, they could be seen going around making sure everything was taken care of in the restaurant. This is true five star service. As for the price, for the quality and selection on offer, I felt the value for money was excellent. They have 3 and 2 course special offers on at various times, which are all amazing. A great selection without feeling like you have to choose from the dull end of the menu. On top of all this, they source their food locally where possible and smoke their own fish in house (which tasted sublime). I highly recommend The Butlers Arms and can see myself dining here many times in the very near future with friends and family. Note to owners: Well done and please never compromise, you're amazing and I hope you stay that way!!

The Four Oaks, located on Belwell Lane in Sutton Coldfield, is a charming pub set in a 17th-century former coaching inn. Recently refurbished with a striking interior and beautiful outdoor spaces, it offers a diverse menu featuring classic dishes such as pan-fried sea bass and Sunday roasts. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for brunch, dinner, or enjoying small plates with friends.
We visited The Four Oaks for Sunday Lunch. It was perfect in every way. We were greeted at the entrance by a polite member of staff who immediately took us to our table, as we had a reservation. The restaurant was warm and comfortable, and the level of cleanliness was commendable. Once our order was taken, the food arrived quickly. The presentation of the food was excellent, and the quality of the meat and the vegetables was superb. Table service was great and we were attended to professionally. We will definitely visit again. I think the menu may have changed since I visited last to be fair but I feel they deserve the review. The food is always great - the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had in a pub. My guest thought the same as well. Service is always great, been served by a few people in there now. Would recommend to book as it’s quite busy, especially at the weekends.

We came here for the roast and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked, everything you’d hope for from a proper Sunday roast. But what really made our visit stand out was the service. Our waitress, Marie, was incredible so friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from start to finish. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. Thanks to her, the whole experience felt extra special. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We went for breakfast for the first time since the renovations and we were blown away by how amazing the place is inside. It’s got a really nice vibe with a very luxurious design. It’s comfy, cosy, but modern at the same time - just a fab place to be! The staff were beyond great, very chatty, charming and smiley. The dealt with our request with absolute pleasure and made the whole experience a delight. Service was quick and efficient and really attentive. My only downside to the place is the food. The prices are high, which are reflected in the place itself and the staff, but unfortunately not the food. I can only comment on the breakfast, and lunch / dinner may be different! The drinks were great, but the food lacked flavour and seasoning, and didn’t live up to the expectations. We had an array of meals between the 7 of us, all nice, but for the price, something a little more was expected. All in all this place was a joy to eat at and experience, but we expected a little more from the food. The staff are great though, and the vibe is lovely.

Really enjoyed my lunch here and cannot complain regarding the food or drink that I ordered. Only reason I have knocked a star off for service and atmosphere is because I ordered everything through the app and so there was little interaction (not their fault) and it was mid day so atmosphere was quiet. Food was not up to standard today. 30+ years of going to the Crown i can honestly say worst meal we've had. Mixed grill, all meat was tough, sausages only just cooked. Seabass fillets, not even two fillets and about 5 or 6 halves of new potatoes, hardly and hollandaise sauce, all for £14.29. They did put another couple of potatoes on for me and changed the fillets to about 1 and 3/4, so still not happy. Gave 2 on review as they offered a refund. Ember inns needs to up it's game.

Living locally and seeing that this tired old pub has had a refurb, we decided to pop in, have a drink and check it out. Got to say, it’s pretty disappointing. Despite being closed for a few weeks for a refit, there’s not much difference inside. Outside seems unfinished as well with screws jutting out of the ground in one place. However, part of the inside was cordoned off due to a water leak. OK, maybe that can’t be helped, but not collecting glasses from tables outside for at least half an hour is not a good look either. At least 4 tables outside with empty glasses and plates on them really doesn’t do them any favours. This pub could be so much better. Might as well go to a Wetherspoons as it’s better value. Come on M&B!

Dropped in for a evening meal, food was served fresh and hot and was spot on. Faith was looking after our table and done a wonderful job making sure everyone was catered for. Prices was spot for a family of four with two young children. Happily return for food and drinks. Thank you once again Faith.

I love visiting this pub, it's dog friendly and has a great atmosphere. I've only eaten here once as I just come for a drink or two. Unfortunately, on my last visit, when I tried the food, I was left for a very long time, just sat at the table waiting for each course to arrive, in the end I had to take the desert away as it all just took to long. I would still recommend this pub to family and friends as I'm sure the food service is an easy fix.

Tuesday quiz night is a brilliant night at the Queslett. Rachel is so friendly and helpful, she goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and her team are amazing. George S is always smiling and very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. He is a real asset to the team. Shannon is so helpful and very professional, she is very welcoming and is so friendly and helpful. They are the absolute dream team ! 😊

Tom was very friendly and helpful! All staff at The Queslett are very friendly and professional every visit. Our food was delicious (lunch). I'd of given 5 stars for atmosphere if a bit warmer, was slightly nippy. Small thing. Had a really pleasant afternoon at The Queslett.

BE CAREFUL!!! I visited the pub to celebrate my sisters 40th birthday. 16 days later I received a £100 parking fine. The party was using a side entrance, and there was no information at that entrance about parking. I have tried to call the pub to talk about this reasonably, but nobody ever answers.

What a wonderful evening we had with our family on Christmas . The service was impeccable. the team could not do enough for you, absolutely nothing was to much trouble, a sheer delight. And very unusual. This definitely made out night. The food was served hot, with a smile. The food is excellent , and most importantly, the taste was just out of this world. I cook from scratch and with fresh produce, and I'm very happy to say that no corners were cut. The food was real, beautiful, and delicious. We were made to feel welcome, we had a fantastic evening. What a delightful change to enjoy a perfect evening out. No rush, no disinterested staff, and no crap, everything tastes the same food. A total triumphant evening all round. Thank you so very much.

I've been here a few times. Usually quite good. Do not forget to drop your car reg in at the start of your entry. So. Service. Slow. So very slow. Just under an hour from starters to main course. 7 of us. Nothing complicated. Was the pub busy? Not really. Plenty of staff. Having to call a member of staff to order more drinks is not ideal and there are glasses on the table for water, not offered. FYI. If the server rolls there eyes when someone changes there mind on food, it's not a good look. Food. I'd ordered a £30 steak medium rare. It was at best medium well. I did not want to wait again. Eaten. Few others did not have a great cooked meal that went back to be recooked. We had a 50% off voucher but it doesn't excuse badly cooked food. The service manager was very good. We had some wine for free, and a coffee. Very grateful. This is not a cheap place to eat. Up your game.

Renato Lounge is a charming cafe bar in the city, boasting an old-world setting adorned with art and a huge mural dedicated to Birmingham's famous one-hit wonders, Renee and Renato. The all-day menu offers a variety of small plates, comfort foods like hero burgers, mac and cheese, chili, and packed flatbreads. There's also a special menu for kids.
Another 1 of the lounges like the Capo Lounge in Mansfield. Also the same as the one I recently attended in Stratford upon Avon. Food is very reasonably priced. Served hot and delicious.... being in Dubai for 5 nights I've missed a good old English Breakfast. Service is always good. The staff are professional. Restaurant is warm and clean. My favourite part about these places is that dogs are allowed!!!!!!!! I love dogs as much as food!!!!

Fried cauliflower tastes really good but the others are a bit out of expectations, like the Malaysian fried rice and Korean prawn. Definitely not authentic taste of those dishes but maybe meant to be fusions. Sadly I find it a bit off. Having said that, service and atmosphere are pretty nice! Spacious & very kid friendly with toys & books to entertain the little ones.

So much choice in food! And the atmosphere is lovely, you won’t get bored staring at the wall. I had the avocado smash with poached egg, very tasty. A lot of vegetarian options as well. Would definitely come by again. We parked at Sainsbury’s (max 3 hrs).

Food was enjoyable, as has been every meal that we’ve had at Renato lounge. Would highly recommend for a place to meet up with friends or drop in for an evening meal at a reasonable price. We’ve been before with live music in the corner, acoustic sets mainly so not too over powering with the music which is a great setting. Would highly recommend the fries with cheese and garlic - they were amazing. As was the beer burrito. Hats off to you again Renato!

We walked in for breakfast and ordered shakshuka and breakfast muffin off the brunch menu and I’m in love. The shakshuka that I ordered was so tasty one of the best one I have tried ever, and the portion was huge more than enough to feed two people. And the one thing I can’t stop talking about is the decoration of the lounge, it’s soo beautiful and I cant wait to come back again:)

Atmosphere one of the best I have experienced as the aesthetic is truly beautiful. Ice latte good, onion rings probably my favourite part of my lunch, however the ‘nasi goreng’ a bit too oily (Could see the oil at the bottom). Staff friendly aswell.

The Bottle of Sack - JD Wetherspoon is a spacious and inviting chain pub that perfectly blends a relaxed atmosphere with an array of real ales and straightforward food options. This establishment, named after Shakespeare's character Falstaff from Henry IV, offers a delightful menu featuring everything from shish kebabs to authentic curries. Guests can enjoy the vibrant decor adorned with clever wall art while soaking in the lively ambiance. The friendly staff, including attentive servers like Willow, enhance the experience with their warm service.
Good and fast service. Food and drink prices good value. Unfortunately no standing room as all the high level tables have been moved to extreme corners of pub.

The decor was outstanding. Served by a young lady called Willow, great attitude and service with a smile and a chat. We ate upstairs on the balcony that looked over the bar downstairs. The wall art is cheeky and clever at the same time. The BBQ chicken melt was filling, and the portion of salad large with a tasty dressing dip. After food, we had drinks outside, which was different from any other Wetherspoons I have been in. Toilets were clean with soap in all and fresh smelling. A small carpark to the rear, possibly 5 spaces. Loved the Bottle of Sack, we will return.
Kev B — Google review
3 for £14.93 nachos, bbq chicken pizza and chicken strips. You get good value definitely. Only problem is the pizza is more of a pitta bread than pizza dough. Avoid the mens toilets at all costs they stink of stale piss. I had to hold my breath when using them it was that disgusting.

Decided to come back after my review couple off years ago. Not sure if Under new management but flies around coffee machine. Cups where not as clean as should had been. Bar staff no eye contact no smiles which is such a shame as other staff where very polite. Back wall seating area are so heavy stained and was very dirty. easy going place. No car park. But side roads and car park by b&m close enough. As always when I go to Any weatherspoons I check out breakfast. Still say boldmere the winner as beans where cold. But still very yummy. If you are a smoker you will love their out door area. Wheel chair access. Over all the last couple years the place has become tired and very dirty. Shame as Sutton town centre is struggling with so many shops closing.

Glad to see that the bar staff are an improvement on those previous. I have deleted the old review due to improvements in service and certain former members of staff no longer working here. On my recent visits, I've enjoyed chicken dishes , shawarma wraps and breakfasts, all cooked properly and hot. Mondays 3 plates for £10 is a great offer!

Honestly the worst food I've ever eaten out. No redeemable qualities. The pie was completely empty because it's entire contents was burnt to the inside of the casing. The mash potato was a congealed lump. And the gravy was pure thick lumps. Oh and it was tiny too. Can't believe they even handed it to me. It wasn't disgusting, it was inedible. Never ever eating there again.
Sarah S — Google review
Food tasted spot on, shame the portions were poor. Also of note, pizza's of any sort were off the menu Service was fast however no "service with a smile" ... although not sure I would be smiling. The venue was humid and full of day drinkers (50+). The venue could do with some form of separations as the regulars spread themselves out taking up tables where families could have sat. Overall, it's what you expect from a spoons

Deila was very kind and welcoming during our stay. We were celebrating a big event (I said yes to my wedding dress) and she was making our time very special! The food was amazingly delicious (just like always) and our lemonades were very refreshing! Excellent service, excellent food.

Had a lovely experience here. The service was excellent, they were friendly, attentive staff who made us feel welcome without being overbearing. We started with the spring rolls and chicken satay, both really tasty. The rolls were crisp and well-filled, and the satay came with a rich, flavourful peanut sauce. Solid 8/10 for the starters. For mains, we had the Salmon Pang Nang Curry, which was creamy, aromatic, and full of flavour, definitely a highlight. The Bang Bang Chicken was tasty too, but felt like it was missing something to ground it. The rice portion was a little on the small side, which made the dish feel slightly incomplete, but still memorable. Overall, a great spot for Thai food in a relaxed setting. Good portion sizes (mostly), great flavours, and lovely service. Would happily go back.

Easy booking online for a Friday lunchtime visit. Had a warm welcome upon arrival with menus provided. Once we ordered, our drinks were swiftly provided along with some lovely and crunchy prawn crackers. We ordered a giggling and a feasting set - a lovely mix of dishes and suitably filling. The chicken satay was the highlight. We followed the mains with a mini salted caramel souflle and coffee - a perfect way to end the meal. We couldn't fault the service by Barbara. It was a shame the place wasn't busier as it has great food and great decor. We will return.

Hidden gem Best to book as they get busy, small restaurant with warm welcoming staff parking right infront for few cars I ordered boneless platter and the seafood grill platter Both dish’s are enough for two to share my fave was the prawns cooked perfect great blend of heat and spices, the boneless grill had generous servings of chicken fish with different marinades and flavours Only disappointment was the Mogo chips at £5.95. I expected a good portion but you get very small side plate filled with more onions then mogo so best to avoid I would recommend this place great for casual dinning with family or friends

Friendly staff, food well presented and good range of dishes on the menu. Service was a bit on the slow side during our visit and a few things were wrong with my order. REALLY poor service. We ordered at just before 6pm on 2/6 yes it was jubilee bank holiday but the delivery was marked as 7.30pm. 90 minutes seemed a lot to prepare and deliver a small selection of food but okay fair enough. Nothing turned up at 7.30 nor 8pm. I rang. What a joke. In the end, my daughter went down to the restaurant and she was told the order was on its way to our house. We live 5 mins drive away and it took nearly another 20 mins to turn up. Really bad. When I opened the (small) delivery bag it was not great. Tiny starter (nearly £5), very dry Veg Biryani with chips mixed in! Yes really. Did they run out of better ingredients? Butter chicken I was told was great. Poppadoms were smashed and sauces were about a tablespoon each. It cost me £37 & feel cheated. The manager did apologise on the phone (we’ve been busy -yes but you had 90 mins notice!!) and he did offer to call me but but then I just couldn’t be bothered to speak to him yet again. Veeru’s if you want to offer takeaway service do it properly. Don’t cheat your customers. They’ll go elsewhere. Plenty of great choice in the area. We won’t be using you again. Awful service & so-so overpriced food. Pics show the tiny 4 samosa (they came with a small pot of chickpea sauce) and then the full order. Not worth £37 overall. Rip off prices.

Good variety of meat choices on the grill, cooked to perfection and super tasty. Staff are very friendly and the chef is the star of the show. Often comes out to greet customers and check they are enjoying their food which is a nice touch. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely disgraceful! Tried this place for the first time tonight for a takeaway and when booking online you said it was gonna be over to ours for a takeaway. So I decided to ring up and spoke to a guy and he said it would be 45 minutes tops so this would’ve made it at 7:10 pm, turned up at 7:15 to be greeted by nobody for five minutes and then to be told with a bit of an attitude from the same guy I spoke to on the phone it going to be 15 to 20 minutes (basically I turn up and they just start cooking the food) I thought maybe they might say or would you like a drink while you wait no will chuck you in a couple of extra poppadoms not even any of that. So I ask 10 minutes later how long is it gonna be to be told about four minutes later or they just bagging it up for you! Another 10 minutes later I’ll get my food, get back home we ordered two sets of poppadoms and only get half a tub of mint sauce and very small tubs of a condiments the poppadoms look like they’re from Asda or Tesco’s and the rest of the food was substandard! I think these guys need to either learn off viceRoy or Soho Tavern. Please don’t waste your time because you will be disappointed!

Not a bad venue. Have done many nights out here over the years as well as quiet afternoon meals/drinks. Well the food was nice, been here a few times for their 2 for 1 deals and it's a warm atmosphere. An absolutely lovely place to stay. All the staff are so nice and kind. Anyone staying at this hotel will enjoy the stay. Rooms are lovely and clean. There's a bit of renovation work going on, but that doesn't affect your stay. Food is available from the cafe directly opposite and from the three tuns 3 doors down the street for just £6 a meal. Firstly when I booked it took 2 days to receive an email to say that the building was under renovation. It wasn't advised it was going to be a building sight. We had to lift the fence out the way to get the building from the car park, there was all boxes stacked up in reception. Reception was also really dirty. I asked to speak to the manager his attitude was if I don't like it find some where else to stay with full refund. This was 3pm, how an earth was I going to find something that fast it was not handled well at all. So then I get to the room the bathroom was filthy massive black chip in the bath. The tap was fast it complete sprayed all over me. The corners of the bathroom was filthy. Chipped tea cups, dirty pillow with make up on it and a long black hair in bedding. Then to add insult to injury, I woke up to go to the toilet it was about 2am I checked my phone. As I was about to go back to sleep even though the massive gap at the bottom of the door had light shinning through, there was a piece of paper pushed through that gap, to say we had to leave an hour early in the morning due to fun run, other we would be stuck in sutton as wouldn't be able to get out the car park. From start to finish it was a shambles. The hotel needs to be closed for deep clean while the refurbishment it going on. I'm just gutted about this stay it's not worth the money at all.

Just home from overnight stay at The Townhouse, soon to be Royal, knew about renovations so no problem there, but, the room!! very small, very basic, windows inoperable, had to ask for a room fan which was brought up straight away, couldn’t shut bathroom door due to uneven flooring, sink cracked, on coming to leave this morning couldn’t open room door, lock wouldn’t unlock, eventually managed to pull handle very hard and lock gave up, but was quite unsettling!! Rooms really need a lot of work, plaster, new windows, flooring and this room due to size could become a cupboard!! Staff were amazing, and hotel location was perfect for evening at the Rhodehouse, but will be in 2 minds as to whether to stay again unless rooms are upgraded. Obviously works out so much cheaper than a Premier inn, but sadly think we’d rather pay more, but guess you get what you pay for, would be happy to pay more if the rooms improve, also nothing like the photos on the website. But big well done to the staff, big oh dear to the hotel.😔

Tikka Nation is a haven for lovers of authentic Indian cuisine. The menu features tantalizing dishes like Butter Chicken, a creamy delight with succulent chicken in rich tomato gravy, and crispy Samosas filled with savory vegetables and spices. Guests rave about the Pani puri's spectacular presentation and delicious taste, even those who have tried it in India. The Tikka Platter is highly recommended, offering a mix of flavorful grills like Chicken Tikka and Seekh Kebab.
I went to have dinner with a few friends and we enjoyed some authentic indian food. It is a small place but with plenty of charm. The service was lovely and they have some vegetarian options. I recommend it!
Shakti N — Google review
Tikka Nation had a good presentation, and the food tasted decent, but nothing particularly stood out. The flavors were enjoyable but not exceptional. Parking was limited, which made accessibility a bit inconvenient. While the experience was okay overall, the pricing felt a bit high for what was offered
Arun S — Google review
My Husband and I visited for an impromptu Monday evening meal, as expected it was very quiet. The service we received was 5 star 🌟 the Pani Puri we shared was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food is fresh and tasty with a large and varied menu. A large glass of wine was very reasonably priced which made a refreshing change! I recommend Tikka Nation if you haven't visited before, a fab little spot.

After a long road trip we were craving for some good old Thalis. Tikka nation had the best to offer. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Thalis were amazing. Butter chicken also quite good. The proportions were more than sufficient. The hostess who served us was very friendly. Overall a good experience. Highly recommended.

Thanks again Saffy for helping us out on such short notice!

Visited today and the whole experience was disappointing. We were the only ones in the restaurant and whilst we were eating our main dishes the staff started to move the tables and mop the floor. The noise from the tables being moved back and forth with the stench of bleach while we were trying to eat ruined our meal. We asked them as we were leaving what time they closed and it wasn't for another 4 hours, so why they decided to choose that point to do a deep clean of the restaurant made no sense. We also visited during happy hour with all drinks 20% off, but it wasn't until after we left (in a hurry to get away from the noise and smell) we realised they had also overcharged us as they didn't apply the discount to drinks. Not to mention the wrong food order served to us and no water after ordering it...We decided we were not going to visit again after today's terrible experience.

Nestled in a vibrant locale, XO Lounge, Wine Bar & Coffee Shop is the ultimate destination for wine enthusiasts and casual sippers alike. With an impressive selection of 18 fine wines available by the glass, alongside a diverse array of spirits and cocktails, this venue caters to all tastes. Not only does XO offer high-quality independent coffee and craft beers, but it also pairs them with delightful nibbles.
We came to XO last Saturday to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were a party of 25, and we had part of the upstairs room. Nothing was too much trouble for Lee and his staff. Even though there were so many of us and they had to keep running up and down stairs to serve us, the service was fantastic. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again soon, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend XO to anyone looking for a lovely intimate local venue.

Belated review for XO Lounge, had my wife's 40th party here a couple of months back and we were able to hire the upstairs area. The decor is amazing and the setup with the balconies really set the scene for the party. Lee, Chris and the staff were amazing taking drinks orders for guests and playing our playlist for the party. The buffet food was great and they even kindly got some chips from the chippy next door. Allowed us to put up the party decor with no fuss and the communication beforehand was excellent. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a venue for a small event or just wants to have drinks and food in a cool local bar. Absolutely amazing.

Nestled in the heart of Mere Green, Ale Hub is a charming micro pub that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. This cozy spot specializes in cask ales, craft beers, and an impressive selection of gins. With its welcoming atmosphere, Ale Hub often hosts themed nights and engaging quiz events that draw in crowds looking for fun. Despite its small size, the pub feels surprisingly spacious inside—perfect for enjoying a pint or two with friends.
The Homely Hub, we have been regulars here almost since they opened, love the great variety of beers, especially the regular Butty Bach! There is always a nice friendly buzz about the place and amazing how many people you bump into that you know and also people that you didn't know but now you do! Dog friendly too, so a good excuse for walking the dog! So much better than the larger dark impersonal establishments! Great friendly service, shout out to Chloe ;-) Give it a try, I am sure you won't be disappointed.
Laurence B — Google review
No excuses. Half an hour to spare and one of Mere Green's latest additions had just opened as I was walking passed. Doesn't feel as small as it looks from outside - not quite the Tardis, but good use of space. The beers available are clearly marked up on on a blackboard, so I choose a half of the New Normal. Didn't even to ask if I could have a taster first, as this was offered. Beer excellent, and having suffered Ozzie prices for the last three months, good value. Not a lot more to add to what has already been said in other reviews, apart from to wish the venture all possible success. I'll be popping back in on a more regular basis 😉

We went on Saturday evening for pre-dinner cocktails (as we have done many times before). However, the till was 'down', so the team apparently couldn't serve drinks. We suggested doing it the old fashioned way and serving the drinks, adding it up and us paying cash but that wasn't possible!?! Consequently, we went elsewhere but if I was the owner, I'd be pretty disappointed!! Shame, as it is a great venue. 🙆‍♂️

The Duke Inn, located in Sutton Coldfield, is set to reopen on July 4th with a strong focus on ensuring the safety of its staff and customers. The pub has implemented additional training and safety measures to create a secure environment for all visitors. Despite a recent negative review regarding ale supply issues, many patrons praise the pub for its welcoming staff, excellent beer quality, pleasant atmosphere without loud music, and enjoyable quiz nights with realistic questions.
I absolutely love the Duke it is a rare find these days for its original genuine pub look, atmosphere and hospitality. Tucked away in a little side street it really takes me back to how pubs were and still should be. Though it doesn’t have a food service a local lady tops off the tradition of this place with fresh made cobs and they are delicious could do with more that’s all as the sell pretty quick. I also want to acknowledge that as a lady if you happen to get caught out with Mother Nature at all don’t despair as the ladies has everything you need to help of which I found a real kind gesture so I donated some things to the cause. I hope the duke is around for ever.
Rebecca L — Google review
Great pub just off the main road, run by efficient smiling staff serving well kept beers. If you like a proper pubs with a great atmosphere the Duke is worth searching out.
Steve C — Google review
This is a traditional back street pub, with a large beer garden. Their cask real ales are well kept, and some of the cheapest in Sutton Coldfield town centre (Wetherspoons excepted). There's a sign on the bar suggesting craft beers are available, but then lists the real ales on tap - I think the author of the sign got a bit confused. The only food available is a limited selection of cobs, various crisps, and nuts. If you're after a good pint in a quiet, relaxed, historic pub, this is the place.
William H — Google review
I have just had to put a comment on about this fantastic little local pub. I have just read a negative review some silly bloke has put on which is basically due to an issue with supply of ale which has meant this Wally felt it necessary to slag the pub off. The pub is ace it has the best most welcoming staff in a pub in Sutton Coldfield. The beer is always spot on and the atmosphere is great no loud rubbish music. The quize night has realistic questions and all in all the best boozer in the town. The idiot leaving the review should support a local pub not condem it
Paul S — Google review
Cracking community pub in the middle of a random residential street. Art on the walls in the back room, huge beer garden, real ales on cask, pub cobs (it’s a batch!) - I don’t think I could find anything to fault this place!

Rather embarrassing to admit, having lived in the area for 30+ years, but wasn't aware of this lovely traditional pub until last week. Happened to check for local events on Facebook, and their beer festival this coming weekend popped up. Well, that's Friday afternoon sorted 😀🍺

Leviathan Brewing is a hidden gem located in Sutton Coldfield, offering a wide variety of unique, small batch beers made with quality, natural ingredients. The brewery hosts monthly foodie pop-ups featuring different vendors and also has a fantastic taproom with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the surroundings include a suntrap beer garden at the back. They constantly push the boundaries of modern brewing while creating new innovative beers and interpretations of traditional styles.
First time visit to this brewery situated on the Reddicap Industrial Estate which is on the side road which runs up the side of Chambrrs Ford. From the outside it looks like a normal front door, the giveaway being the small keg outside with an open sign on it. I think it's only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not too big inside but has a number of tables and chairs with the bar and a single toilet on the right. Has a number of beers on sale of different strengths including a lager, cider and sour ale. All the ones I tried were very nice indeed including a Raspberry and Cheesecake Sour which was exceptionally nice. Will definitely give it another go.

Arguably one of the best breweries in the midlands. Great choice of freshly brewed IPA’s, DIPA’s and stouts served my a passionate and knowledgeable team. Several collabs with some great local street food vendors as well. Can’t wait for the new tap room to open, watch this space!

Cracking craft beer brewery and tap room. Friendly staff and good surroundings, including a little suntrap beer garden at the back. Often have street food out front too and the occasional live music. Non pretencious, no egos, great beer. Can't recommend enough for purveyors of great beer or just somewhere cool to hang that isn't a chain pub. Elysium is not just the best beer they produce, it's up there with the likes of steady rolling man as one of the best signature craft beers around.

This is a really great place, it's a little tucked away but it's worth looking for. The tables outside allow you to take in the sun while you try out the ample selection of beers. The Royal Oak in Halesowen is a cozy British pub known for its wide selection of draft beers and a buffet. Visitors have praised the warm and low-key atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends or celebrate special occasions. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, with generous portions and flavorful dishes like steak and chips. The staff are commended for their exceptional friendliness and helpfulness, ensuring a seamless dining experience even during busy times.
First time visit today to The Royal Oak, having passed many times before but not stopped off to check it out and give a review before. The staff member who served me at the bar was polite, happy and friendly - giving a warm welcome from the start. Everyone else working here give off the same impression too. Music at a comfortable level, temperature and light all just right for a great relaxed visit. Outside at front and back, there is tonnes of space to sit. With sheltered spots for that British weather. Only one small note for improvement, but doesn't impact my visit at all. Could do with getting one of the Gents toilet door locks repaired and the soap dispenser. There was soap there in a bottle on the side though. Very glad popped in here this afternoon just for a drink this time, will definitely return again and try some of the food too as looked delicious! Thanks for the nice experience.

Lovely pub in heart of Halesowen. If you like a traditional pub that is also modern then you won't be disappointed. The pub always has a relaxing, chilled atmosphere that makes it perfect for a get together be that with friend or family, colleagues or just yourself. As an Ember Inn you will get fair pricing and well maintained draughts. Thete is a lot or parking around the pub going from the one side all the way around to pub"s bowling Green at the back. But it fills quick which is the only negative I can think of.

We had booked a table for dinner and they forgot to organise and. Set us up with high low chairs and then gave up and let us sort. The food was so awful, really dry, inedible with no flavour. Cocktails were mixed with so much sugar. Overall avoid. Better off going to the Wetherspoons, at least you know you would expect it.
Aly L — Google review
I went to this place on a Saturday morning for breakfast and coffee. I paid £20.50 for a salmon and egg toast and an avocado and egg toast, and to my surprise, wheat was brought to our table instead. The plates were poorly presented. First of all, the salmon had dried ends, which indicated it wasn’t fresh (we didn’t even eat it), and the tomatoes were dried out with white ends, clearly cut the day before. Even the bread was the cheapest option—just regular sliced bread—despite the menu stating it was sourdough. That’s not all! The double espresso turned out to be an Americano instead. They redid it, but the same mistake was made. The coffee shop was empty at the time, yet they only started making the coffee 15 minutes after we ordered. Honestly, I’m sorry to say this because the coffee shop has amazing decor, but the menu needs a complete overhaul!
Bianca L — Google review
The breakfast I ordered was cold on arrival. The mushrooms were clearly from a tin, the beans were undercooked and very hard, and the potato scallion was overly greasy and unpleasant. The only part of the meal that was satisfactory was the sourdough toast. Additionally, I was served a glass of Coke which contained a fly – something I only noticed after I had already drunk some. This is extremely concerning from a hygiene perspective. My sister, who ordered poached eggs on toast, was also very dissatisfied, as her eggs were undercooked, slimy, and not fit to eat. Overall, this was a very poor dining experience. Based on previous visits, I know this is not always the case, which makes me believe there may have been a change in kitchen staff. I strongly urge you to address these issues and review the performance of your chef to avoid further customer dissatisfaction. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and that steps are taken to improve both food quality and hygiene standards.
Jade S — Google review
Poor staff...poor food... Sadly, this is the first ever negative review I have felt strongly enough to write about. I have never taken pictures of food before but thought that I would to support this review. This was the first time that my family had gone out for a meal since lock down. We looked for somewhere that had outdoor seating available (for obvious reasons)-The seating area was very clean and fresh. Throughout the duration of our time here, the staff seemed to be very confused and didn't appear to know what they were doing or what was going on with regards to orders etc. When our food did arrive, it was extremely disappointing/shambolic. Nachos were soggy with a thick like consistency. The topping of sour creme and chicken was better but hugely salty. The calamari was straight from frozen packet-limp and lifeless on the plate. The best part of the meal was grilled halloumi. My husband had a burrito but said that he wish we hadn't gone here to eat- ate it begrudgingly. Kids had a fish finger and chip meal- bog standard, nothing special. The restaurant is participating in the 'eat out to help out' scheme, but I really wouldn't waste your time, effort or money. I understand that the hospitality sector has taken a huge hit during this pandemic, but what we experienced today will not help it move forward in the future. We won't be returning OR recommending.

Nice place, atmosphere is not too loud either so good for conversation etc. The food is nice, not amazing though. The portion size is generous and the food does have flavor. The staff are nice and pleasant and make light conversation. I had an issue with cutlery (I'm very OCD when it comes to cutlery) but this nobody can be blamed for a dishwasher 🤷🏽

Nice looking place ; the staff were very welcoming . When asked if they have a table they asked us which one we’d like. The came over quite quickly and friendly asking what drinks etc . My daughter had the halloumi 🌮 tacos and thought they were really cool 🤙. I had a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was very very dry. I almost asked for a different piece but I just cut off the ends which were extra dry and it tasted very nice. Also got a chicken club sandwich 🥪- when it came the presentation was “ok” but the taste was great 👍 all in all it was nice. Drinks were nice too

Honestly the worst breakfast service I have ever experienced. Slow. Cold food. They served our kids fizzy drinks instead of fruit juice (I was told it was juice mixed with appletiser from the night before). The lady did try to make up for it and was sweet but overall DREADFUL.

Afternoon Tea at The Belfry – A Delightful Experience I recently visited The Belfry for afternoon tea, and I have to say, it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Isabella and Allison, setting the tone for the impeccable service that followed. Our server, Michelle, was absolutely lovely – attentive, informative, and genuinely caring. It’s rare to come across a place where customer care feels so natural and heartfelt. Michelle ensured we had everything we needed and made us feel completely at ease throughout our visit. The afternoon tea itself was just as impressive. The peach sangria tea was a refreshing highlight – clearly fresh and full of flavour. The scones were served soft and warm, just as they should be, and the selection of sandwiches was varied and delicious. Overall, The Belfry delivered not just a meal, but a beautifully curated experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and indulgent afternoon.

I came here for The Afternoon Tea to celebrate my birthday with my 20 friends, the experience at The BARBAZON was truly exceptional. I wanted to specifically commend you're manager Marius for his professionalism and attention to detail, he made us feel welcomed and ensured we had everything we needed, he took good care of my guests and everyone was so happy with the level of service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and efficient service. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a gathering with friends. Overall, The Brabazon is a gem, and I highly recommend it.

Today we went to the fabulous Spa for the Fire and Ice Experience. Been taking friends and family here for ages for special occasions and always love it. But today’s a shout out for the Brabazon Bar, where we go after for drinks and a chat and a lovely bite to eat. The staff here are so welcoming and friendly. Alyson, Michelle Lucy and Ali - thank you for making us feel so at home!

I recently enjoyed a beautiful Prosecco afternoon tea at The Belfry with my sister, who was visiting from Australia. What really stood out was the exceptional service from Alyson and Michelle — they were genuinely warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their thoughtful touches, along with the amazing food, wide choice, and excellent tea and coffee, made a special occasion truly unforgettable. Thank you so much!

I just wanted to take a moment to share how incredible Alyson is at the Brabazon Bar in the Balfrey Hotel. Her customer service is truly second to none — she is attentive, personable, friendly, and without doubt one of the most efficient waitresses I’ve come across in years. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her, she goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and well looked after. Her warm personality and genuine care really make all the difference — she’s a real credit to the Belfry Hotel and an absolute asset to the team. I hope her hard work and dedication don’t go unnoticed — she deserves every bit of recognition for the outstanding service she provides. Thank you, Alyson, for making every visit such a pleasure!

Wow, what a delightful experience at the Brabazon bar. My wife and I visited recently for afternoon tea. We were warmly welcomed by every member of staff we encountered. The ladies looking after the afternoon tea were so accomodating.(MIchelle and Ali) Food and drinks were brought to our table in very quick time. Tea pot exchanges took place instantly upon one becoming empty. The sandwiches, muffins and sweet treats were excellent. All in all a marvellous experience, thank you Michelle and Ali. We will be back.

Afternoon Tea gorgeous and a brilliant deal in June 2 for £49. Which might continue. Alyson & Michelle were brilliant they looked after us both so well. We had a beautiful afternoon tea as a treat for my friends birthday. The tea & coffee kept following juice aswell if you wanted it. The sandwiches Ham, Egg & salmon plus cheese & onion on a brioche bun were really good. The scones were brought out when we wanted them & warm they were a nice size not to big that u can't eat anything else. The little cake were also amazing 👏 spiced cake, lemon meringue, macaroon, coconut cake and 1 other one I can remember the name of. We were never rushed. Had a very relaxed & filling afternoon.

Simpson's Bar, located in Birmingham, is renowned for its impressive gin selection and elegant ambiance. The venue offers a variety of spirits to indulge in while also serving delectable side dishes that include charcuterie spreads featuring cured meats and olives. With swanky interiors and a stunning space, this bar is highly recommended by patrons who appreciate the exceptional service provided by the staff.
Visited this venue earlier in the year with my sister and had a fabulous night. Rachel served us exceptional gin cocktails all night that were customised and personal to our taste. Would highly recommend!

I attempted to visit this pub with my aunt, knowing her love of gin and we happened to be in the near by area when Google suggested and told us it was the best rated place near by, and more importantly was OPEN. The most irritating part of this was pushing my aunt in her wheelchair uphill in December weather to find it well and truly closed. We ended up at the Three Tuns near by, where I double checked on Google that Simpsons was open, and found reviews stating similar complaints about its false open times as well as more complaints regarding loyalty to bookings and not serving general public. Only seeming to accommodate to those who hire the entire place for events.

Very nice cosy little place drinks were fantastic so many to choose from but serve only cold food and nibbles which were actually very good. Due to covid you have to download an app to order which happens in some places too and can be off putting apart from that lovely bar.

Beautiful decor, and slightly roomier inside than I was expecting. They weren't actually open when I visited, but friendly young lady was happy to let me have a quick look around. Will definitely be coming back to sample some drinks 😁
