Stopped by Leoda’s Pie Shop and tried a few of their mini pies: banana cream, strawberry no-bake cheesecake, and the lemon/lime pie. The banana cream pie is definitely a must-try really flavorful banana base and great crust. My only note is that it had way too much cream on top. If they balanced that out a bit more, it would’ve been perfect. The strawberry cheesecake was a miss for me. It was mostly just whipped cream and glaze, with barely any cheesecake texture or flavor. It looked nice but tasted overly sweet and didn’t have much depth. Wouldn’t get that one again. The lime pie was just too sour for my taste. If you don’t like very tart desserts, this one probably isn’t for you but that’s more of a personal preference. I’d definitely come back to try the coconut pie next time, and I’d 100% get the banana cream again maybe just scrape off some of that cream!

Absolutely Divine Apple Crumble Pie I just had a slice of the apple crumble pie, and I can confidently say this is one of the best desserts I've ever tasted! The flavor profile is an absolute masterclass in balance. The filling is perfectly sweet, with a deep, caramelized apple flavor that is utterly satisfying. But what elevates this pie is the unexpected, delightful touch of a slight saltiness that cuts through the sweetness just enough to keep it from being cloying, enhancing the fruit's natural sugars. And then there's the bright, zesty hint of lemon. It provides a refreshing tang that brightens the entire experience, making each bite feel vibrant and fresh. OMG - the most amazing pies!!! Both my husband and I said these were the best pies we’ve ever had. 😍 Would highly recommend the chocolate macadamia nut & banana cream pie. Service was quick and staff were super friendly. Will be back!

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. We noticed this place on the way to our hotel in Lahaina and so glad we stopped. Such a cool little unassuming place with great food. Under the long canopies of Monkey pod trees this place is definitely worth stopping for lunch and desert. Get there earlier if you want the full selection of pies, they’ll sell out by the afternoon so get there an hour or two after they open for their full menu.

Great local place to grab lunch or a quick dinner. Food was fantastic! The cucumber/avocado sandwich was huge. It was stacked with other veggies also. I took half to my accomodation with me for later. The pineapple coleslaw was also wonderful. The pies are good also.

While traveling down the Honoapiilani Highway from the South side of the Island to Napili Bay, we decided to make a stop at the local store for a cold drink and a sweet treat at the adjacent pie shop. Having visited Maui over 35 times, I can’t believe I have never stopped here having driven by at least 100 times. And boy am I glad I finally did! Welcome to Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop. Tucked in right along the main coastal highway, in the Lahaina Area, this place is a hidden Gem! They have loads of food offerings and amazing pies, fresh baked bread and even banana bread. There is a nice long table with stools for outdoor seating as well as a large number of tables for seating indoors. We luckily landed in between waves of customers and were able to pop right up to the register without delay. We were greeted by super friendly staff, ready to take our order and answer any questions we had. At the ordering station you can clearly see into the clean kitchen, offering a nice glimpse of the delicious food they are preparing and staging to bring to the tables. Today was pie day since we wanted to take something to go to enjoy while we were on the beach. They have a wide variety of pies and even a no bake strawberry pie that another guest reported to us, was super delicious. If you’re looking for a nice spot to enjoy a lunch or dinner, or just a sweet treat along your way around the island, I highly recommend a visit to Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop. It has to be for the pies. He got a turkey sandwich I got a club, no fries bc they were an additional $8, he got a bottled coke and I got a glass of unsweet tea and it was $45. I understand Hawaii prices but .....we went flatbread company and got two small pizzas a lemonade and a brownie with two scoops of ice cream, that was enough for us to split, for $56. Way better value and food. The sandwiches were mostly bread. No flavor. I wish I took a pic of what was left on plate. Pile of crust and hard tomato. I gave up and took my lettuce and made a wrap with the meat. I am still three days later pissed about that place. and again it isn't about the price bc we don't care to spend money on food I mean we went to cowboy star and loved it but it was good and it had value. Maybe everyone should start stopping at the food trucks around it and stop letting them get by on what they used to be. Thank goodness I don't get the fries bc even though I am still pissed I might be over it by Jan bad fries would have kept me mad until April.

Mala Ocean Tavern completely exceeded our expectations! The food and service were absolutely top-notch. I had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My fiancé ordered the scallops, and they were perfectly seared and bursting with flavor. To top it all off, we finished with the affogato, which was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere and ocean views made the experience even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an incredible dining experience in Maui!

My partner and I have been to most restaurants in and around Lahaina, and we were so happy to have found Mala! We’re both gluten-free and total foodies, and it’s rare to find a place that delivers on both flavor and service — but Mala absolutely did. Our server Thomas was the BEST — friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He knew all the specials, kept our glasses full, and made sure our table was always clean without hovering. The food was outstanding, and Thomas went above and beyond by helping us secure Mother’s Day / birthday reservations seven months in advance! He even introduced us to Sergio, the manager, who took amazing care of us as well. Everything about our experience was perfect — the food, the service, the vibe. If you’re anywhere near Lahaina, do yourself a favor and pull up to Mala for a fantastic meal and some of the best service you’ll find anywhere.

Came here on a Saturday night , day after Halloween, place was half full. I’ve heard a lot about Mala from family & friends , knew i was in for a treat. My wife, 25 weeks pregnant , eats plant based and there were several options for her. Our server, Carlos, was soft spoken but confident & gave us great pointers - he’s someone you just know you can trust. I got the ceviche w the sweet potato Chips , my wife got the Brussel sprouts to start, both were just fantastic! The brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection & the ceviche i got was in this rich coconut broth that i ended up drinking. Really refined and confident flavors. For our main dish, my wife got the vegan curry & i was stuck between the pork shank (Carlos said it falls off the bone) and the pan seared mahi mahi (which i ended up getting). While the portion size of the mahi mahi was on the smaller side, the actual dish was huge — Yukon potatoes and a great ginger sauce with mushrooms and carrots - just really full flavor. Id like to note that i got their version of a Mai tai as well as a gin drink that were some of the best cocktails I had during our trip. Pricing was fair and the food quality was just superb - couple that with Carlos service and the incredible waterfront views — you got yourself a fantastic meal . Would RUN back. Also, their sambal was SPICY!

Enjoyed our ocean front breakfast. The pork belly eggs Benedict was delicious but it had a little too much fat. The classic eggs Benedict was good. Big portion so come hungry. French toast was good with a twist of purple yam gellato. Aloha!

Would not come back here. We had dinner here last night for my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Our server was wonderful—warm, attentive, and accommodating—and our table by the ocean was beautiful. However, the food quality and flavor fell far short of expectations, especially for a restaurant so highly rated. It honestly ruined what was meant to be a special evening; we didn’t even feel like ordering dessert to celebrate. For starters, we ordered the Ube bread and the Poisson Cru. The bread arrived cold in the middle, suggesting it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The Poisson Cru lacked the salt, lime, and chili flavor described on the menu—it tasted mostly like fish in plain coconut milk. We then ordered the Caesar salad and the Surf & Turf. The salad was decent, though overly dressed. The Surf & Turf, however, was the most disappointing dish of the night. The filet mignon had no seasoning or flavor, the octopus was bland, and the potatoes on the side resembled unseasoned breakfast potatoes rather than a dinner accompaniment. Given the restaurant’s reputation and glowing reviews, we expected a refined, flavorful dining experience. Unfortunately, the dishes lacked balance and care in execution. The service and setting were excellent, but the food was simply not up to par—especially for a special occasion.

🌊 Pure Magic at Mala Ocean Tavern, Maui 🌴 I’m still in awe of the experience we had at Mala Ocean Tavern — it was absolute perfection from start to finish. I went for the surf and turf (and couldn’t resist adding scallops 😋), while my wife had the green curry with seafood, and every bite was pure heaven. What made it even more unforgettable was the ocean view, just steps away — the sound of the waves, the warm breeze, and that Maui sunset painting the sky. 🌅 The staff went above and beyond — so kind, attentive, and full of great recommendations that made the meal even more special. It’s one of those rare moments where everything just clicks — incredible food, an amazing team, and the beauty of nature all around you. Feeling so grateful to have experienced it. 💙

Like the name suggests, this place is immediately next to the ocean. The sprays up on the windows often. It's great to watch during dinner. The food was excellent and the menu was diverse and creative. The service was stellar. The views of the sailboats and the ocean waves made for a memorable dinner experience.

A popular spot for obvious reasons, Island Cream Co has made a mark for itself by serving up delicious ice cream and shave ice in the area. Parking in the area is abundant and the place is clean despite syrup stations being out in the open. The shave ice is self serve on syrups so you can go crazy on yours or just add light flavoring. If you want ice cream or anything else they will prepare it in full for you behind the counter but beware of any allergies as we saw a worker scoop different flavors with the same scoop after the first scoop had touched one with nuts. We ordered multiple different flavors of the ice cream and most were pretty good. They do also include a rolled chocolate wafer which was a nice touch for those who enjoy it. For those in our party who ordered the shave ice, they said it was good as well. The seating is a bit limited in the store so beware you may need to wait or take your stuff to go. This place has very good bones and I think one or two changes would make it even better,they have a unique product and we would recommend giving it a go if you’re in the area.

Top notch,hands down! Don’t look anywhere else this is the place to be. The shave ice experience is outstanding and the ice cream selection is amazing. The staff are great great great! NALANI is phenomenal. For sure I will be back for more. Aloha 🤙🤙🤙

I’m rating it 5 stars for being innovative alone! They serve both delicious ice cream and shave ice. And the shave ice is self-serve. Now that is unique. They call their shave ice “glacier ice”. They give you a packed bowl of snow and you can put whatever flavors you want from there dozens of flavor taps. The only thing that’s a little annoying is it’s kind of messy. Because it drips from the upper taps to the lower taps. But I’m sure you get better at this as you build more of your own Shave Ice bowls. Pretty much the only shave ice place in the area so quite busy during the day as you can imagine. They have a few seats inside and a couple tables outside. Nice thing is when you’re done. You can also walk around this little strip mall. Plenty of parking in this large lot.

Friendly staff and delicious ice-cream. We tried the 6 mini scope sampler which was amazing . Great taste and flavours. We loved the lilikoi cheesecake. Self serve Shaved ice experience seemed great, We’ll definitely come back for it.

We were here every night for our 9 day trip in Maui. The ice cream is creamy and delicious. Lots of flavor to choose from and my favorite is strawberry shortcake. We will be back when we are back in Maui again!

I had the Sposhy with Passionfruit ice cream, and it was delicious. It was good enough to share between two people. I highly recommend it and believe it’s worth the price. If you’re a sweet tooth, feel free to ask for a little more condensed milk.

Absolutely delicious and a must-visit! Maui Island Ice Cream Company exceeded all expectations! The ice cream was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and rich—every scoop felt like a tropical dream. They had an amazing variety of unique and classic flavors, making it hard to choose (in the best way possible). The service was equally impressive—friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. You can really tell they care about both the product and the customer experience. If you’re in Maui, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!

Stopped by Hula Grill Kāʻanapali to catch the sunset and enjoy a drink and a bite. The vibe here is great — a big, lively restaurant that’s clearly very popular on the west shore of Maui. I ordered the ceviche and the fish & chips. The ceviche was fresh and tasty, but it’s a small portion, really just enough for one person. The fish & chips were okay, nothing particularly memorable. Overall, it’s a fun spot to grab a drink and some food while watching the sunset, but don’t come expecting an outstanding dining experience — the atmosphere is the main highlight here.

Service was quick and friendly. Our server was nice and we talked about our tattoos. No wait to get in. We had the kapulu joe which was a sweet pulled pork sandwhich and ahi poke bowl. Both were delicious. Prices were pretty reasonable. It is located at whaler's village so the area is pretty happening during the day. It was pretty relaxed vibe with live music playing cover songs on the ukulele. It is definately a good spot to stop and grab lunch if you are shopping in the village or coming g back from a fishing or snorkeling outing.

This is my fourth visit to Maui and each time I've made a trip to the Hula Grill for great meals either by myself or without others. This time I'm visiting while attending a women's conference close to the Hula Grill. We arrived in Maui on late Friday morning and headed over to the restaurant from the airport. I had a reservation for five, we had a wonderful lunch and lucky us, we were comped a wonderful Alaskan style dessert, delicious. This evening our group had grown to 10 and I booked the 5p time slot before realizing we would need an additional :30 - :45 minutes. So on our lunch break I drove over and spoke to the hostess re a later arrival and she said yes, we might have a short wait but ok. Around 5:15 p I received a text, then a call to confirm and I let them know we were on our way. A group of 5 in each car, our first group arrived about 5:30p and the others in our party were following. Our waiter Matty, appeared and took our order for drinks, then expressed concern about the other 5 in our group. His attitude became more edgy as the minutes went by, after :15 minutes 4 more arrived and Matty appeared relieved. Our remaining member arrived and full on service finally was underway. However the waiter attitude situation never really improved, such a disappointment. He needs to be consistent in his behavior as a server. Our final bill was over $1000 including tax and tip. The food was great, the atmosphere was excellent especially since most were first time diners @Hula Grill they were very happy. Maybe Matty was having an off-night because as we were taking photos he offered to take our group shots.

Great atmosphere! A little loud , but there is a lot going on! Service was good , order a filet mignon which was good , the mashed potatoes were just okay , shrimp was perfect ! Overall we had a great experience! Probably would have order the fish next time !

I tried everything on the table so here’s my extensive opinion 😂 Drinks: go for the mango mezcal cocktail, it’s the best. The lychee martini was very sweet so if you don’t like sweet go for something else! Very solid Caesar salad 👌 like a remarkably good Caesar salad. Seafood potstickers were better than the pork ones, both good but if you’re deciding between them go with the seafood ones. Pork was shredded just fyi! The salmon sashimi was melt in your mouth. Ahi steak was fantastic, as was the pork shank. Didn’t love the macadamia nut mahi mahi. Great atmosphere and always a good time!

As you see from one of my pictures there’s half cheeseburger, our waitress know what we was planning we picked one entree and one appetizer to share, I personally can’t eat much so I don’t like the feeling of overeating. So she asked us if we wanted the burger to be cuts in half and of course I said yes if that’s possible. I told our waitress that I don’t want cheese on the burger but it’s served with cheese but luckily I can scraped out pretty good from my burger, I’m not allergic to it I just don’t like the taste of the cheese. The Hula burger was really tasty.. we both really liked it, it was perfect! Coconut calamari was so so, not really a fan of it. Then we tried the Hula Pie, the Hula Pie was amazing! Our waitress was Amber F, at first impression she seems cold and a bit unfriendly but at the halfway through the end on our late lunch I found her she’s a sweetheart! Turns out I really happy and like her personality 🤙🏼

Overall: 2.5 Subpar, overpriced food. Solid service and atmosphere. Went twice since it was very close to where we were staying and that was plenty. Won't be back on our visit; too many other better places. Food: 2 stars. During our first visit, we had the lobster tails and broccolini, then had the hula pie. Lobster was good. Not a fan of the Hawaiian-style rice but was pretty standard. Broccolini had too much lemon flavor. Hula pie was 3.5 stars but not big on sweets, just had to try. In the 2nd visit, we tried the Thai chicken flatbread. It was very sweet and the chicken tasted like canned chicken with some fish flavor. Maybe fish was cooked along with canned chicken... not sure, but we sent back. Had cheeseburger with Caesar salad. Salad was actually very good. The crunchy stuff on top and their Caesar dressing was unique and very tasty. Burger tasted like spam and was very subpar. Drinks: 2 stars. Weak cocktails. Below average flavor. OK beer selection- lavaman was solid; one of Maui Brewing's best beers. Service: 4 stars. Waitress was on top of things. Didn't wait too long for anything. She was likeable and respectful. When we returned pizza in 2nd visit, they were very nice and understanding. Atmosphere: 4 stars. Live music was great first night: soothing classic songs, good voice and vibe; had a hula dancer. Music in 2nd visit was ok. Sunset over beach was very nice. They lit tiki torches around sunset also. Great vibe. Had bar and barefoot sand area. Didn't sit in main dining area. Not a lot of TVs to watch sports outside but not sure about in main dining area. Price: 2 stars. Overpriced even a bit for Hawaii.

Outstanding meal. Every plate was perfectly displayed as the flavors perfectly matched. Dishes that leave you craving them days later. We started with the Ahi, followed by the octopus and ending with the crab Mac and cheese and filet migon. Incredible flavors, fresh as the ocean and seasoned so perfectly. Even the carrots were charred perfectly. We ended with the butterscotch pot de crème! This was far better than Merriman.

We happened upon this delightful restaurant. We didn’t have reservations but @5:30 we were able to get in & get a beautiful view. The hostesses were very nice & sat us right away. We had a great server as well, lovely lady whose name I forgot. But the food was so great. So many different flavors combined in unique ways. The cocktails were great as well. Very lovely spot right on the water!

A friend recommended going to Honu, so we came for our last night in Maui & all I can say is wow! The view of the ocean is amazing. Our server, Megan, was great. We were given a complimentary toast for our honeymoon & the food was delicious. It was cheaper than Mama’s Fish House but still expensive, although I think it was worth every penny. I’m so happy we came here before leaving.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and made a reservation at Honu Oceanside, and it may end up being the best decision we make on this trip. This was easily one of the best dining experiences we have EVER had. We sat down outside on the patio sitting right on the edge of the ocean, a truly breathtaking view. We were quickly greeted by our server Megan who was FANTASTIC, she was beyond helpful for us picking food and cocktails on the menu to try and she nailed every suggestion. She was quick to get our drinks and food out and was right there for when we needed anything all night I’ve never had better service at a restaurant. Appetizers we got the Cesar salad, Burrata, & the Filet Mignon Carpaccio and my god were they all 10/10. For dinner I got the Crab Mac & cheese, she got the Scallops. The only down side of getting the appetizers we got was saving room for dinner we both were licking the plate for everything they brought out. To cap off the story we were unlucky in the sense that we were told it never rains in this area and it has been going through a drought, and low and behold while we’re at this amazing spot Mother Nature didn’t want to cooperate. On the fly Megan and Justin one of the owners came over scooted our table under some cover, and made us feel as comfortable as they possibly could have. My wife was sitting there a tad chilly from the wind and rain, and the brought over a shall for her to put on. Seems like small details but I couldn’t leave this part out because of how above and beyond the went from the moment we walked in. Megan, Justin, and the entire staff thank you so much for making this a truly unforgettable dining experience on our honeymoon. If you have got to the end of this long winded review I would do anything possible to get a reservation at Honu Oceanside you will NOT regret it!!!!!

This place was truly the cherry on top of an amazing honeymoon! My husband and I went here for our last dinner in Hawaii before heading home and it didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent from the start. The view was obviously gorgeous and seriously the most ideal spot for a romantic dinner. But the view is a given, it’s the food, beverage and service that make it spectacular. Our cocktails were delicious and the chefs special (mahi mahi with lobster bisque risotto) was to insanely delicious. They sent us the cutest dessert in celebration too, a very nice touch. Book a table here! Honu Team, thank you for such a memorable and special dining experience!

Had dinner here recently after making reservations for an oceanside table and what an amazing experience it was! We were assisted by Jordan who ensured we had an absolutely amazing experience. She was assisted by other staff who all worked to make out experience wonderful. Appetizers included a very flavorful Kale Salad and Carpaccio. Main course included a grilled Mahi mahi and filet mignon which here made to perfection! Dessert included a dish I highly recommend, the Butterscotch Pot de Creme (picture included). It was so amazing we had to take an extra back for another day! Everything was perfect from reservations (highly recommended) to departure. We will definitely be back for more!

The best meal we had on Maui. Jerry and Pam took amazing care of us. The food was to die for and the service to match. Beautiful sunset view on the water. The scallops were the best we have ever had and the steak was cooked perfectly. Don’t forget the banana coconut crème pie, amazing. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Located next to Monkeypod inside of Whaler’s Village Mall. Selections were limited and there was no tasting allowed. So we just picked two random flavors: tiramisu and cookies & cream. Both were decent, but not good enough to tell your grandma about them. I think it was $7 per a very small scoop or $8 for two very small scoops.

My son opted for cookies and cream and LOVED it. My daughter tried the coconut and very much disliked it. Somewhat disappointing experience because they dont offer samples. Wanted to try it first but couldn't. Bought it and tossed it.

Service here was a bit lack luster as it gave off get your ice cream and leave vibes but the gelato we received was decent. We chose the cheesecake flavor and didn’t taste anything like it but it still tasted decent. Texture was also pretty good but it’s a tiny as serving.

It's perfectly good gelato, but, as you'd expect, it's expensive. $8 for a scoop in a cup.

Deliciously smooth and yummy! As realtors on Maui we love to share this experience with our clients. This is Maui’s sweet spot! We highly recommend. I love the chocolate, my wife loves to tiramisu.

Tasty gelato and love that they offer dairy free options. We enjoyed the Kona crunch, vanilla sprinkle, mint chip, coconut and mango. Keiki size is plenty. Too bad they don't offer samples anymore. Nice spot to stop while shopping Whaler's Village.

Had a lovely dinner for my partners birthday. We both had fish which was lovely and great and prepared well. They comped our desert for his birthday which was a lovely gesture. Great views of the ocean so if you can go for sunset it would be lovely. I’d say for the price they could work on the food presentation but a minor point really, it’s the taste that matters!

We tried Leilani’s on the Beach and found it to be an average experience overall — I’d rate it about 3 stars. The location is great with a nice beach atmosphere, but the restaurant feels more like a polished chain-on-the-ocean rather than a unique dining spot. The food was okay but underwhelming for the price and hype. The hummus was heavy on oil and hidden at the bottom of the plate, the calamari lacked much flavor, and the mashed potatoes had that heat-lamp crust that made them taste like they’d been sitting. Nothing stood out as thoughtful or memorable. Service was friendly, and our waiter did their best, but the restaurant was very busy and it showed. The overall service level didn’t quite match what you’d expect for the setting and cost. In hindsight, we probably would have enjoyed the beach bar portion of the restaurant more, since that casual vibe and pace seems like a better fit for this spot.

Went here for my 23rd birthday! I made a reservation same day and requested nicely if we could get a view of the beach and they did not disappoint! It felt so nice and special being on the 2nd floor and looking at the sunset. Food was fresh and delicious! Would definitely recommend, but would also say if you can, get a reservation ahead of time! Not too difficult and it guarantees you a time!

Excellent attentive friendly service! Multiple servers and a manager checked on us. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich with the pineapple slaw was amazing. Will go back for the service alone.

It is interesting reading through the reviews and a lot of them are five star ratings. We are there twice and had similar experiences. I really don't think this is a five star restaurant with a lot of missing components. Some of which include the "pets" aka birds that intruding. Not really the restaurants fault, but when the waiters and bus boys leave the food on the table to long you are inviting unwelcomed guests aka the "pets". I'll start with the good though. They are right on the beach so almost any seat is a good seat. The appetizers are great especially the nachos. We added the pulled pork to it to make it even better. The pulled pork was tender and very flavorful. We enjoyed it with the crunch of the chips, salsa and the avocado. On different nights we got the fish and chips and the fish tacos. The tacos were definitely better. The fish was over cooked on the fish and chips plate and the fries lack luster. But it did seem like they were using the same fish for the fish and chips and the tacos😅. The waiters seemed to be beginners and we had two different waiters each day. Both were slow to serve the food and just appeared to be inattentive. Both times we had to request our water to be refilled especially on a hot day at the beach. I mean we sat so close to the beach that the surf was spraying our food 🌊😂. "That's a little... Salty" bonus points if you can guess the movie🤣. Anyways there are two places to eat at. If you want something more casual eat on the floor closer to the beach. If you want the "steak" restaurant you will want to head upstairs. There are shady spots to sit under but they don't cover well in the late afternoon. I got roasted like a lobster 🦞. Hmmm ... Maybe my wife should have ordered lobster instead 🤔. Anyways that's were the water would have nice. So mind when you are going to eat and where you are going to be seated. I do believe they will vouch for parking but double check with them first. Most other restaurants did while we were on the beach. So three stars for mediocre food (mind you the nachos saved their rating), poor service, but all least a great view as long as you don't mind becoming the next lobster 😜.

This was our first food stop in Maui. Did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Rum Punch! Had the shrimp tempura pupu, fish tacos, and nachos. All fantastic.

This Monkeypod is located in the Whaler’s Village, a very nice smallish shopping plaza on the beach. We’ve been to Monkeypod in Waikiki many times and weren’t too impressed with their food. This was our first time eating at this Monkeypod and thought its food was much better than our usual Monkeypod. We were in a hurry to catch a flight back to Oahu so we ordered a quick meal of goat sausage pizza. Since we only ate one item, so we can’t speak for the rest of the menu. The pizza we had, however, was excellent. It was full of interesting flavors that you normally don’t associate with an Italian pizza, but we both love it. Fresh cherry tomatoes on the pizza were very tasty. Our server, Kyle, was friendly and efficient. As always, the service at any Merriman’s restaurant was wonderful. The ownership and management of the Merriman group should be given some props for maintaining a high standard for service at all the locations we've been to. The seating area was close to the beach with a nice breeze, which made our short visit quite enjoyable.

Came here based off recommendations from Facebook. Great environment & nice views. Our server was nice. We came around 3:15 & there was no wait. We waited until happy hour (3:30pm) to order food & drinks. My husband loved the mai tai & got 2. We ordered 2 pizzas to split. The happy hour deals are great ($4 off cocktails, $2 or $3 off wine & $2 off beers, half price apps, & $14 pizzas) but wish they happy hour items included some sort of discount off items with seafood. Live music started a little after 4pm. Parking is validated for 2 hours

Such a great restaurant! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are very friendly. On a busy night, we waited approximately 10 minutes for a table without having a reservation. We were waited on soon after being sat at a table. With how busy it was, my fiancé and I were impressed at how quickly we received our drinks and our food. Highly recommend checking this place out. We had the Poke Nachos, Jawaiian Jerk Chicken, and the fish special - and all were delicious!

Different place to eat. It is right in Whalers Village, but depending on where you sit you can see the ocean. It is also cover in almost every spot so you don't have to worry about the sun. Most other restaurants you will get some sun but you are closer to the beach. With this restaurant you have more shade but less view of the ocean. Take your pick 😁. We picked the fries for appetizers and the organic macadamia nut fish. The fries were great, loved the crunch and the sauce was just as great. However the fish could use some work and was over cooked with no flavor. Missing the salt and pepper at least, so not worth the 50 dollars. The service was good and had plenty of seating. The server checked in once and refilled water so nothing outstanding. They also had a live singer and he did a great job. I'm not sure on the time table on when he or they perform but a great addition. But if you are looking for something unique this if one restaurant to at least give a try. The other down side would be that they only have pie as a selection for dessert. If they had something else my wife would have said yes. Three stars for the mediocre fish, and decent serving. Maybe next time I'll make an adjustment to my rating with improvements.

Get reservations! Not mandatory but good idea. I must have gotten the wrong food because I feel this place is all hype. The fusion menu has lots of choices which was good but rather than mixups offer basic and good, not mixed up and just ok. (Strike 1) Knew I was in trouble when the waitress said everything is alacart. (Strike 2) then the noise. It was sooooo loud in the restaurant. I’m sure patio seating would have been less but could not have a conversation with my wife sitting next to me. (Strike 3) saving grace was beer menu and our server. It took forever for our food to arrive and they messed up a cheese burger?? (Strike 4) it takes good but the burger itself was a literal ball of meat. Not a patty, a ball!? Broccoli salad was interesting in a good way. Portions are small so there’s that too. Maybe it was just an off night or I got the worst items on the menu.

This place was awesome! Their drinks and food were delicious and the server was very attentive. We ordered the seafood pizza ..wow! That's a must try. It was so good we devoured it before I remembered to get a picture. We also tried the seafood special and their truffle fries and both were EXCELLENT choices.

We made the reservation for 8:30 pm, when we arrived, there were plenty of table and people without reservation got tables easily. Food was great, but the person who brought our food, just threw the plate at us. Our server was okay too, it wasn't a very busy night. We ordered steak for myself, cooked to perfection, husband had Shrimp & lobster fettuccini which was good with a good portion. Great atmosphere and highly recommend to go and try Monkeypod at this location.

This is definitely a unique place to eat at. I loved sitting by the water 💦 and enjoyed eating dinner with friends. It is small so reservations are almost a must. You should either get them morning of or the day before if you can. Any group of six or more and they place an automatic tip. The food did take a hot minute to come out and they gave us the wrong order for dessert 😂. But since we were easy going and the dessert was awesome we didn't mind. No need to make fuss if it doesn't matter. I ordered the lobster ravioli and my wife got the catch if the day. We both normally will try each other's dish but we gobbled our dishes down respectfully without time to share🤣. No need to say that the food was awesome, it was spectacular! The reasons for four stars instead of five is that the service was slow as dirt, they did get our dessert wrong, and it is very expensive.

Amazing restaurant with an overall excellent level of service and cuisine. The ambiance is what you would expect from a Maui resort as well. I had a Mai Tai and that baby was tasty and STRONG! We had top tier mushrooms and truffle fries. The wagyu steak was 9/10. A bit more gristle than I would have liked, but still delicious. Lamb was also very good.

Son’z Steakhouse is located inside the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere which includes a beautiful waterfall, swans and ducks gracefully swimming outside an inconspicuous wire netting that you barely know is there. The atmosphere is very romantic regardless of if you are dinning for breakfast or dinner. The best part about this dining experience is hands down the atmosphere. The service is also amazing, actually one of the best I have had. The staff are very attentive and are wonderful. We would definitely give breakfast a consistent 5 stars. Dinner was very good. We had the lamb, Brussels spouts, and salad. They have a great menu but it is a bit pricey. We spent over 300 dollars for the meal not including dessert and with 2 drinks. Breakfast with our package ran us 98 dollars a day for 2 people. Overall wonderful experience!!!!

Amazing location on a private lagoon with beautiful lighting during sunset. The food was fantastic and drinks were great but it was certainly all elevated by the amazing Maui atmosphere. Highly recommend checking this out for the steaks and vibe.

It was beautiful. Steak and lobster 'A+', wine list 'A', Brussels sprouts 'D', twice baked potatoes 'B', the restaurant opens to outside pool with swans. Gorgeous but too hot the night we went.

The service and food was amazing! We have two toddlers (2 &3). We were seated right near the water, it was beautiful. The waiters brought coloring pages and were very understanding and kind with our children. The ambiance is very romantic, if I had known, I would have gotten a sitter! The restaurant is beautiful, the food was impeccable, the drinks were flavorful. Highly recommend for families or a special date night! Unfortunately, I don’t think I got any photos.

We had an incredible dinner at Son’z Steakhouse in Maui! The food was outstanding — perfectly cooked steaks, fresh seafood, and a great wine selection. Our server Steve was phenomenal — friendly, attentive, and fantastic with our kids. He made our family feel so welcome and truly elevated the whole experience. Beautiful setting, excellent service, and top-notch food. We can’t wait to come back

The best adult shave ice!! We got the strawberry guava daiquiri and the mai tai (which has ice cream!). Both were amazing!! I would absolutely come back the next time I’m in Maui!

We had lunch at Down The Hatch and got a 15% coupon for Breakwell Shaved Ice. Which I am glad I tried their shaved ice. It is so yummy! I highly recommend the Tiger’s Blood flavor and volcano flavor.

We were so excited to try a shave ice and Breakwall did not disappoint us! We ended up there during their happy hour and couldn't resist trying one of the adult shave ice options. Pina Colada shave ice is a must to try!

Nice to have to cool down on a hot and humid day. Thr guava/strawberry and mojito-mint were both identifiable flavors but the mango just tasted sweet. Loved the chewy gummy bears on the bottom.

Taste good however the flavor was just on the top. After couple spoons I only ate plane ice. My daughter wanted a sticker and surprisingly they sell it for a dollar.

We ordered Mango and a combination of (mango, pineapple, and coconut ) shave ice. flavor Mango- good Pineapple - ok Coconut - bland Though they poke holes on the ice, after a few initials spoon I felt like eating ice. the texture of the ice was so different hurry to finish it else within a few minutes we might end up with slush.

Best shaved ice place. The ice is like soft snow in your mouth which makes it so good. I got cherry, lime and blueberry which was amazing. To top it off, the ice cream at the bottom was so smooth and tied everything together.

This shave ice parlor is located near the beach behind the Hyatt Regency hotel in Maui. They have a large variety of flavors and toppings. It's one of the best ice cream treats I have ever had.

We love their shave ice. All of the flavors we’ve tried have been delicious and there are so many to choose from. I love the lilikoi. We always get the macadamia nut ice cream on bottom and it’s delicious! This location is great since you can enjoy it while looking out at the water.

Since it’s my first shave ice in Hawaii, I can’t say it’s the best but I personally really liked it. The macadamia ice cream base was a great choice. Also kid size is still quite big. All the tables were taken so we decided to head over to the beach to enjoy this treat.

Very impressive shave ice! I thought it would be a snocone but the consistency is very smooth and with the condensed milk topping it becomes very creamy! "The best" was the best to us : coconut, passion fruit, and mango. Normally I love coconut but the passion fruit was best. Try adding some rum to the leftover liquid for a great drink! Price ranges from $5-8 without topping.

The Bakery is small. Nice people working there. We were able to get the pineapple upside down doughnut. The second time we visited. Parking is very limited. The donuts here did not taste extremely sweet to me.

They have a small selection of delicious donuts. They're pretty big. Also try the sandwiches, I recommend ham or bacon with egg(s) on croissant. Google Maps navigation will take you to a pretty round about way to get there and then expect you to park on the side of a busy road that's not possible. They're actually located on the other side of the building so turn in at the closest intersection and use street parking. They're cash only but also take Venmo.

This place is awesome, been here for years and years (1970s) and its obvious the new owners are fixing it up. All that aside the breads are great, fresh and made on site. They make goods for local hotels, but have tons of great pastries, croissant, cookies, muffins and even strudel you can purchase. We took an assorted box and snacked on it the next few days and great meeting the owner Charlie Owen. Keep up the good work!

CASH/VENMO ONLY. This place is definitely a hole in the wall. It is flanked between industrial and furniture warehouses. We got several goodies: almond croissant, blueberry danish, coconut danish, and bacon/egg/cheese croissant. The breakfast croissant was made in front of me and it was the highlight for sure. There was only one person at the front when I was there so service was slow but I was in no rush. The other standout was the almond croissant. It was not double baked but it was flaky and it had almond paste inside so very strong almond taste if that’s your jam. The danishes were a bit too doughy for me. For about $17 for everything, I say it is a great deal if you are looking for a pastry fix or a great breakfast croissant.

A true hole in the wall in an industrial park with chickens and thrift shops and now defunct Sugar Train. Super easy to get to also. Excellent pastries and I wish I would have found earlier. The baby pineapple upside down cake is perfect as a breakfast desert to go with Drift coffee around the corner. Sorry shameless plug.

Went for the delicious malasadas and was not disappointed! There were three filling options (vanilla, chocolate and guava) and all were tasty. Get there really early though, at 6:45 there was already a line out the door. Also make sure you have cash or venmo on hand, several people did not notice the signs and it caused a hiccup at the register. Service was friendly and genial though, would absolutely go back.

We had a lunch/whale watching tour booked so we wanted a light breakfast. My husband found The Bakery. It's not in a fancy area (surrounded by car repair shop type places) and parking was a bit of a pain but we found street parking nearby. When we first walked in I was a little disappointed that there were no tables inside. Once we saw the pastries - OMG! we were completely blown away by the quality and huge selection. The staff there is so friendly, and were told there were picnic tables outside. We sat outside at a table with an older gentleman. He was funny and nice and told us that he and his wife started The Bakery about 40 years ago. He told us lots of stories about getting started. As the neighborhood got older and parking got more difficult, they started selling more to stores/shops/restaurants that resold it. They make over 1k of doughnuts every night. So, you can go someplace fancy and pay a lot for these or you can go to the source where the prices are surprisingly inexpensive. The entire experience was awesome. We live on Oahu and I wish we could get his pastries here. Try this place, you may get luck and get to visit with the owner outside.

Simple Asian-American island fare without all the bells and whistles. Definitely a spot where locals come for a quick and delicious lunch. This is a very unassuming joint where you just go up to the window and order your food. The portions are quite generous and the entrees average out to be about $13 and it comes with a side. There are no current prices listed on the menu which was slightly inconvenient when you’re trying if you stay within spending budget for a family, but luckily the staff taking your order at the window will tell you how much the item costs. It’s strictly take out only and there were a decent amount of outdoor dining tables available that seats 4 people per table. We bought two entrees plus an order of spam musubi (the order came with two giant pieces) that came out to be around $30 for two people.

This Hawaiian bbq mixed plate to-go stop is mom and pop owned. It's half decent for a quick bite but there's nothing special. The prices here are very reasonable and the owner is convivial. However, it's strictly outside patio seating only.

This place is legit. Kalua pork comes in a massive portion and has a nice and smokey flavour. Includes a healthy serving of rice and some decent pasta salad. The honey walnut shrimp was good too. A cheap spot to get a big meal that packs a lot of flavour.

This place has lots of lunch plate choices. We got a 1) Chicken Katsu plate (this was good). 2) BBQ chicken plate (this was ok, I think the chicken could be marinated better) and 3) combo E seafood & short ribs plate, shrimps are probably from frozen/nothing special, short ribs & fish tasted good. The mac salad good, but was way too creamy.

The food is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. We loved it so much we went back for breakfast next morning. Keep blessing the people with the amazing taste. Alofa Aku

What more local can you get? I had the bbq chicken mini, lot more food than expected for a mini. My husband had the shrimp fried rice. You just go up to the window and order. We had to ask for prices since the menus do not have prices. Taste was very good, food was very hot and portions were big. We waited for about 10 minutes for the food and we spend about $21 between both our meals, a deal, compare to most places in Maui. There are only a few tables, we sat there for about 5 minutes with the food before we decided to eat in the car. A pigeon and some little bugs were not letting us eat in peace. But I most say “A most try when in Maui”. “Feel like a local, eat like a local”.

I always get the BBQ mixed plate. Always satisfied, I've been back many times.

This is definitely the best coffee experience I’ve ever had. I just learned belatedly that their small shop was burned to the ground alongside the front street, but they are now rotating between various resorts during the week. Hope Nathon and the business return to smooth operation soon. It’s not easy. But they are trying hard with the best effort.

Wonderful shaken lattes at the Craft Fair on the boardwalk outside the Westin Nanea Resort. We got the dark chocolate mocha and the coconut cream. Excellent

The coffee here is one of the best on the island. They roast their own blends and we bought a bag that was batched in whiskey barrels that brought a unique flavor to the beans. The drink selections were also unique and fun, and of course you can order a typical iced or hot coffee.

Came by to get their ice coconut creme latte and a hot vanilla latte. For both, I got the smaller size which came with 2 expresso shots each. The ice coconut creme was more bitter than expected. The vanilla latte was delicious! The baristas were friendly and look like they enjoy what they do!

We’ve been on Maui for 4 days and have come here everyday. Can’t even compare it to anything you’d get at Starbucks! Barista (or bartender) is the best. He puts serious effort into every drink. Caramel Machiatio and Cafè Bonbon have been our two favorites.

Vigilatte Artisan Coffee is a delightful coffee stand with beautiful decorations. Although the seating is limited, the coffee is definitely worth trying. I usually order an Americano but this time I tried the Dark Chocolate Mocha which was decent. The barista prepared it like a cocktail using a shaker which was impressive to watch. The drink is on the pricier side but it's perfect for those who enjoy lattes and cappuccinos. If you prefer your coffee black, this may not be the ideal spot for you.

If you're looking for THEE place to get coffee on Maui, look no farther. This place has a great aesthetic, great baristas, and of course, great coffee! They have a lot of SHAKEN lattes for you to choose from, as well as flat whites, cappachinos, etc. If you're confused what is what, they have info graphics for you. The coconut creme latte was AMAZING. We came here twice in the same day just to try it after getting a regular latte. Go here! You won't be disappointed.

Delicious mochi doughnuts! We loved trying the Poi and Strawberry Mochi with the Ube and Guava sauces and the quick,friendly service. We’ll be back! So delicious, we forgot to take a photo! 😋

So happy I made my husband turn around when we passed this little gem! The fried mochi was delicious, my favorite flavors were ube and strawberry and I loved the coconut cream on the side. I hope we make it back to Laihana so we can sit for a while and try their Mochi Delight sundae.

Our first time trying Poi & Ube Mochi! It was good, just not our favorite dessert. Dee is wonderful and so friendly. She gave us some of her special cheesecake sticks (Delicious)! We also got the white chocolate coconut dipping sauce and enjoyed trying her fresh mochi!

So good. The mochi are the perfect combo of crispy and chewy. The sesame balls are fantastic with the perfect level of sweetness.

I think this is the only place on the island of Maui to get poi donuts or poi mochi! It was fried to perfection where the shell was crunchy and crisp but not hard; and the inside was soft and chewy and doughy! We tried all of the flavors of mochi, and our favorite was the poi. My partner liked the ube second best, and I liked the chocolate second best. We got the white chocolate haupia sauce and the POG sauce. Both had good flavor, but the white chocolate haupia was our favorite dipping sauce. Service was super friendly. There is seating in the shade next to the food truck. Everything is made fresh (which is why it's so delicious) so be prepared to wait 5-10 min. for your food.

Delicious, fried mochi served hot with a selection of dipping sauces. The ube mochi was especially good !! Order by the bag.

Cute, local dessert truck! All the flavors really shine through without being overpowering or too sweet. We got a 4 pack of assorted (ube, poi, Lilikoi, and lychee). The white chocolate coconut sauce was perfect! I don’t like anything too sweet and it was just right. The Mochi are made to order so they’re piping hot when they come out. Give them a few mins to cool down so you don’t burn your tongue. The parking lot is set up with music and string lights. The tables have games on them. Just a really fun, relaxed vibe. Good spot to stop by if you have a late night sweet tooth!

I love this property and its staff. Everyone- the gardeners, housekeeping, front desk, bellmen, everyone is so lovely and warm. There are some really unique features like the penguin colony and other beautiful exotic birds. The grounds are gorgeous and better kept than many properties. For those with club access, the club provides a nice refuge with cold and hot drinks all day and the staff in there is lovely, especially Miki and Jade. They make you feel so at home. Jeff (?) at the front desk who has worked there for 20 years is fabulous as well. It’s a longer walk to whalers village and other restaurants than many properties, and the beach in front really isn’t great, but the grounds and pools are beautiful! Will always come back, just be prepared to walk to a different beach.

We’ve been blessed with the opportunity to stay a night at a few hotels on Maui, and I have to say—so far, the Hyatt has them all beat, especially if you’re looking for a family-friendly resort! We have a two- and three-year-old, so while my husband checked us in, we hung out in the courtyard near the front desk and saw parrots, PENGUINS, and koi fish. Once we got to our room, it was modern, clean, and had an amazing partial ocean view (I’d argue it was full—maybe I’m just a glass-half-full kind of girl, haha). The couch in the room had a small tear with some metal sticking out, so I let housekeeping know, and they immediately moved us to another room for the kids’ safety. They were so kind and accommodating. Our new room had a full ocean view and was on the 8th floor—the view was incredible, though with toddlers I think I’ll go for a lower floor next time, haha. After settling in, we went down to the kids’ pool. My son (3) is usually nervous around water, so I was curious how he’d do. After only a few minutes, he was waist-deep, playing with the pebbles (yes, pebbles on the pool floor!) and exploring their little “tide pools.” He even got brave enough to go down the medium-sized slide! My daughter (2) was in heaven—she’s obsessed with swimming and water play, so she didn’t want to leave. The overall experience was amazing, and we’ll definitely be booking here again if and when we can! Huge thanks to the front desk, housekeeping, and staff for making it such a positive and memorable staycation.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Kim at the front desk started our trip off great with his friendly service and provided us with special honeymoon perks that made our trip even more memorable. The hotel is stunning. Many beautiful views and plants throughout the property. There is easy beach access to enjoy, but if that isn’t your vibe there are also multiple pools to choose from. Also has many convenient towel stations. We were able to witness many beautiful beach sunsets. A unforgettable vacation that we didn’t want to end.

My husband and I had a truly lovely stay at the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali for our honeymoon. The service we received from the moment we pulled up to the valet was top notch. We had an ocean view room and enjoyed the beautiful views from our balcony. The amenities at the resort exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed renting a cabana for a day as a special treat….truly the most relaxing day! The location walking distance to Whaler’s Village and Lahaina made finding places to eat dinner a breeze. Highly recommend!

This was our first Hawaii trip, and it was beautiful! Starting off with getting to the hotel. The valet service is easy and efficient. It is only a couple dollars more than self parking, and you get in and out privileges. In the mornings, it can take a couple minutes to get your car, so give yourself a little extra time. Check in was easy and they were super nice! The room we stayed in could have a better view, but it was comfortable and clean. Pillows are super soft, so bring your own if you like firmer pillows. Next, this hotel is gorgeous, has multiple pools/restaurants/shops, and right along the beach. There is a path you can walk to the shops - great post-dinner walk. They also have parrots displayed in the morning, their swan garden, and a penguin exhibit. Included in our hotel was the breakfast buffet, which was lovely! I would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!

Local cats made it 10/10 for us. Yearly trip to Maui, first time staying at Hyatt Kaanapali! We enjoyed our Baby Moon celebration here. Great locations, walkable to Whalers Village. Rooms were nice. Really enjoyed the Regency Club breakfast. Staff were thoughtful and accommodating.

It was a great hotel. Right on the ocean, though at high tide the beach is very small. The amenities are good, there are shops, a very nice pool, restaurants, pool bar. The pool are is large and kept at a good temp. There was never trouble getting chairs. The room was large enough and bed comfortable. It had a balcony with chairs. The open air atrium was a highlight with tropical plants and penguins. There are also swans on property. The breakfast buffet was just okay, it was included in our package, but it would not be worth the not included price. The coffee shop in the hotel was very good. It features a boardwalk that goes along the ocean along to all the other hotels along Kaanapali beach. The valet was always quick, it was $45. There is also a self park option for $40.

These cookies are some of my favourites. What an awesome little treat. We always make sure to stop in and get some when we are in Hawaii. If you haven’t got some, or think they’re expensive, just take the chance and I promise you’ll be happy with it! We used these direct from the company for little gifts for our wedding last year and every guest was raving about them. So happy with everything and thanks to Honolulu Cookie for doing such a great job!

Every time I come to Hawaii, I always try to get some of this amazing cookies for me and as a gift to friends and family. We did have to wait outside a little, until we get in. It was maximum 4 people inside.

Amazing short bread cookies!! Kept coming back, ended up eating our stash too quickly. They offer free samples of each flavour ( kona coffee was my favourite). Lots of pre wrapped boxes and tins for gifts, also a make our gift box station. The staff is friendly and always happy to help. Worth the visit or multiple visits ;)

These shortbread cookies are the best in the whole world! The amazing high quality chocolate that covers the cookies makes it a special treat that I simply adore! All the flavors are good, but my favorite are the white chocolate with the coffee cookie and also the coffee flavor with the coffee bean in the middle. The pink ones are so delicious also! You can't go wrong with any of the flavors - definitely get an extra bag for yourself and for your family when you leave!

They make good cookies and are good present to bring home to friends and family. Staff was super friendly.

I fell in love with the pineapples galore in this store right away! If you love pineapples, this is the place to be! We bought a four pack box to take with us back to Chicago and we regretted not getting another four! They are cheaper here then if you buy them at the airport-there they are the same price as the four pack for only three. They do have the option if shipping you your pineapples as well and have crates with up to eight pineapples! All boxes that fit up to four count as a third carryon for every airline except southwest! The staff was super nice and the woman who explained the airport process and served us our DELICIOUSLY SWEET pineapples and soft serve was very kind and helpful. The only reason this place isn’t getting my last star is because everything is very expensive from the food to the gift items. I purchased a pair of socks and found it $5 cheaper in the store right next to it…so maybe buy your pineapples here and your pineapple gear elsewhere!

I thought the it was a great idea to have pineapple smoothie in a frozen pineapple shell. The smoothie was delicious and it was fun to scrap the ice that formed on the inside of the shell. Then towards the end my wife and I had the same unusual phenomena where the top sides of our lips where the spoon made contact felt raw as if it had been scraped with a rough surface. It couldn’t tell if this was cause by the spoon or maybe “sharp” ice crystals. I have no explanation but it was just weird. The my wife started to feel a little sick in her stomach. Coincidentally she felt the same way with a Costco pineapple the night before so I’m thinking that she is allergic to pineapples? Then I started getting diarrhea and hour later. I don’t know what was used in the smoothie or if we just had too much pineapple. No explanations there as well. 3 stars because the smoothie was good but also because my wife and I had adverse reactions after drinking it. May be if anyone else have the same symptoms they can write a review here, otherwise chalk it up to an unsolved mystery. Update: After some research I think that the acidity of so much pineapple caused the reactions we had and not that the store had done something wrong. We just had sensitive stomachs.

I LOVE anything pineapple, and this store did not disappoint. It's a little pricey because it's right in a tourist area. Along with fresh pineapples, they have pineapple themed decor, gifts, and cards.

Grabbed a Maui Gold Soft Serve for sunset and was impressed. Much fresher than next door. It was piled high and was a perfect treat to round out a delicious dinner nearby!

Great stop for some Pineapple! We attempted to go three times to get the Pineapple soft serve. If you go late it most likely will be sold out. It's literally made with fresh pineapple! You do have the option of getting Pineapple juice or pineapple slices. Well worth the wait! So fresh and yummy! This place is right next to the dole store so don't get it confused.

THE BEST SHAVE ICE EVER! take any shave ice you've eaten (bahama bucks, matsumotos, your local stand) and times it by 5! All the syrups are so fresh and yummy, the ice cream is locally made, and the ice itself is so soft and perfect. We came here 6 times in 6 days. The last time we came they accidentally mixed up my order, so they gave us the one they messed up, a new correct one, and an extra bowl of macadamia nut ice cream! The line can be long but so worth it.

WOW, best shave ice in Maui! I have to say this place was truly the best we had shave ice in 4 other locations but this one was 10/10 so many flavors to choose from definitely recommend it if you’re in Maui. Go with time there’s always a line but definitely worth the wait.

First time for shaved ice and I loved it. There is a fair queue, but it is sheltered from the sun so bearable. The menu is on the website so you can choose whilst you wait. The queue is worth it. Best location on the island. Top tip - don't worry about ice cream base or 'snow cap'. Try unadulterated first. Ululani size is fine for two to share or one of you want a lot on your own. If there isn't enough concentrate then they will add more for free (wasn't a problem for us). Several sugar free options for those wanting to limit sugar intake. There are also a lot of sheltered seats a little further back from the street - just keep walking.

Best shave ice I’ve ever had! We came back 2 more times because it was so good. The first time I tried it with a scoop of coconut ice cream underneath. While it was very tasty, it wasn’t totally necessary. The staff was super helpful in deciding what flavors to put together and which combinations to recommend. I personally liked the green tea and coconut together. The shave ice isn’t actually very icy and has a very light, airy texture. This is a definite must try place in Maui!

This is my go to shave ice place on Maui. It’s so good!! I usually get the Ulu size with mac nut ice cream and three flavors. Passion fruit is one of my favorites, guava, pineapple, etc. I finish it off with a snow cap which is evaporated milk 😋 I’ve been getting the kid’s size (Keiki) more often and it’s actually an even better size if you want the sweets but don’t want too much. Sometimes there’s a bit too much syrup with the smaller size.

Amazing shaved ice place. A lot of friends recommended this and I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed. They have variety of options. I like their fruit flavors. You won’t get most of them on mainland USA.

A fun experience when in Hawaii! Be prepared to wait in line, but the shave ice is a fun and delicious treat. I highly recommend getting the ice cream at the bottom, and getting vibrant flavors -- cherry, blue raspberry, pineapple, etc. Would definitely recommend this place to others!

One of my favorites of the island, they have delicious ice creams, a lot of flavours and the staff is really nice. The location is excellent, I recommend you this place a lot, you have to go there, buy a Gelato and walk down the Street with a good sunglasses.

So many things to choose from. I was hankering for a smoothie and with so many shaved ice spots it was hard to find. We stumbled in here and it had a secret deck out back where we enjoyed our strawberry guava and chunky monkey smoothies!

The snow one, or if you read it in my photo, “Ohana bowl” was HUGE! My wife and I were able to share a baby size. The flavors were okay but not that strong, it all sank to the bottom. None the less, it was good and refreshing and a clean place to sit.

Hmmm! Pick an ice cream flavor, lots and lots of ice. Add three of your favorite flavors and then top it off with some secret special cream on top! $6.50 for a very large serving. Downtown Lahaina near the end across from the ocean. Always a stop for us if we are on the west side of the island.

AMAZINGGG!!! We came here based on a recommendation from our friends and WOW. The shaved ice is to die for. Choose a scoop of ice cream for the bottom and top with your favorite 3 shaved ice flavors and their special cream on top. We spent 7 days in Maui and came back here almost every day throughout our trip cause it was that good. Super close to the harbor, so you can take it to-go and sit by the water or walk around Lahaina.

First Hawaiian shave ice experience did not dissapoint. I'd reccomend you opt for the natural flavors but you're not going to be upset with any combination.

This shaved ice stand is located on the Hyatt Regency property, but is located on the pathway between the ocean and hotel so all passers-by can enjoy. Plus, they have these cute tables that you can set your shaved ice in and eat hands free. Tons of flavors and fruit filled ice creams too.

They offer dole whip here, my mom and I were running to try some. Apparently a vegan dessert, wasn’t expecting it to be very creamy, sweet and delightfully tart. I ordered it as is and came in the cup. You can get it with chamoy, with other flavors, with sprinkles. They also offer different flavored ice creams, smoothies and drinks. The signage is hard to miss for the Dole whip. Prices are the usual. Would be interested in trying out more flavors in the future

Having tried Dole whip in California I had pretty high expectations for Dole Whip in Maui. I was kind of let down though. I found it tasted better in California. Even the texture was not as smooth and thick. It still tasted good. The fresh cut up pineapple was a nice touch that pineapple Gold is really the best. There was lots of options on the menu and I only tried the one bowl. Based off that one bowl I would give this place 4 stars. It was a nice treat a really hot day.

This place always had a line to the front door, very yummy and refreshing! They had many different variations of Dole Whip. They also had many different flavors of ice cream with freshly made waffle cones.

Great central location for some ice cream. I was excited to finally get some Dole Whip! The ice cream parlour was clean, well lit, and had cool decorations (like a vintage Coca-Cola ice chest with cold soda inside) The staff were also really friendly. As someone with allergies, it can be embarrassing to ask for an ingredient list when there is a line of people behind you. This employee literally had an ingredient list for me within 5 seconds of asking for it. Very welcoming for someone with allergies. Mahalo

Good place to grab some Dole Whip! They have several variations here, including the float the the dole whip with fresh pineapple which we highly suggest. They also have several flavors of other ice cream too as wells as drinks.

We came here to get a quick Dole whip while we were hanging out at the Banyan Treea park. We have only had Dole whip on the mainland US before this and thought it was overly sweet (we couldn't even finish it). This one was actually pretty good. It was sweet without being overwhelming. We got it with fresh pineapple which paired well with it. It does seem very overpriced though. We paid $7 or $8 for soft serve with pineapple (it was an XL, but it wasn't that big). If you haven't had it, it's worth trying once in Hawaii.

Yum! I had no idea that Disney stole Dole Whips from Hawaii. It was delicious to try one with fresh pineapple right from the island. Definitely stop by and try it if you’re in Lahaina!

Great pick up some treats on Front Street. My daughter got the ice cream cookie that was really good she said. They bake the cookies for the ice cream sandwiches that day. My two sons had smoothies that were creamy and filled with fresh fruit. And lastly, my wife had shaved ice which was very good. We will definitely be going back again while in Maui.

The staff are very friendly... The menu is extensive... See pictures... Happy little place with sweets. There is a bench to sit and eat the ice cream... And to cool down with AC. We had a good time there... Basically came there twice a day, everyday for two weeks... probably best price for the ice cream compares to the dolewhip place down the street that had bad customer service.

We are obsessed! The ice cream was incredible and we loved the staff’s demeanor. We were served by Daniel who was very pleasant and recommended the Ube and Coconut Pudding combination. We got the double scoop bowl and it was perfect for two people to share. Hopefully we can come back and try more flavors before we leave the island.

Loved the ice cream cookie sandwich. I got fudge ripple ice cream with a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie. Kids liked the shave ice. Bubble gum and guava flavors were their top favs.

The ice cream and cookie were delicious, and the location can't be beat. We had cookies and cream and the most delicious chocolate chip fudge ripple. We also shared a chocolate chip cookie and it was fantastic. Often ice cream shops don't have great places to eat so you either find your treat melting in your hand while you try to get somewhere nice, or you scarf it down somewhere boring. We grabbed our delicious treats and walked less than a minute to eat them seated on park benches under the oldest living banyan tree on Maui. Pretty spectacular.

SO GOOD! Highly recommend going. Wife got a simple treat: waffle cone with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream (dairy, though they do have a non-dairy vanilla option) so she could share with our toddler. I ordered their specialty "Honi Cookie ice cream sandwich" where you choose up to 2 different cookies (fresh baked) and 1 ice cream flavor, which they put in 1 scoop between your cookies. They serve it in a bowl, and the cookies are soft enough so you can just eat it with a disposable spoon!! I ordered the double chocolate chip macadamia cookie, and a classic chocolate chip, with a scoop of the coconut pudding (Haupia) and thought I died and went to heaven.

Tasty gelato. We tried the Kona mud pie, chocolate chip cookie dough, banana caramel and pineapple. All were very good. Small size is pricey but enough to satisfy a sweet tooth and enjoy. Somewhat unfriendly staff 🫤 We walked over to the Baldwin house and ate our gelato on a bench in the shade.

So good, the gelato was flavorful without being too sweet. The cookie dough tasted more like birthday cake, but that was still good. The chocolate chips were also really good.

This place has the most delicious options. I personally ordered the paradise mocha. Omg. Soooo refreshing. Coconut sherbet, mocha, espresso and magic! Mmmmmm Pic is me devouring the drink under the beautiful banyon tree listening to bird songs. Wonderful customer service and the rest of my group loved their drinks and gelato too!

You literally cannot go wrong with gelato! I especially enjoyed the Lahaina area and while out and about wondering the street we came across Hawaii Gelato. We stopped in simply because of the aroma we could smell from outside the shop! Hawaii Gelato offered and excellent assortment of flavors. Just looking inside the glass covered freezer will have your taste buds satisfied. They also offer seasonal flavors, so I can imagine around the holidays, you can find an even greater assortment. The Lahaina Sand was by far my favorite flavor. The staff are also very friendly and inviting. They offered samples of a few flavors if you are between selections.

We enjoyed Hawaii Gelato one evening in Maui. They let us taste a few free samples before we decided on our flavors. They also served shaved ice here and some bakery items. It was crowded and they only had 3 or 4 very small tables in the back if you wanted to sit down. No bathroom facilities. Ctedit cards accepted. On the main street in Lahaina. Street parking only.

This place is simply great if youd like to bring Maui made fudge, toffee and taffies. They have an amazing assortment of flavors (16!!!!) And their packaging is a piece of art, depicting local gods and goddess!

I love that this place sells SMALL pieces of fudge. Everywhere I go, the smallest amount you can get is a half pound and I don’t need that much of one flavor sitting around for me to eat by myself. You’ll probably find someone waiting for you just outside of their door to offer you a sample. That’s what got my attention. Lol. They had their version of rocky road (with macadamia nuts). Pretty yummy! So I went in to look and found that they offer quite a variety of flavors. AND you can sample any of them - just ask. I sampled quite a few and my favorite by far was their S’moreo. Yup. S’mores and Oreos together in perfect harmony. Each little piece is already individually wrapped and sells for $9. Buy four and get the fifth free. And if you give them your phone number, you get a free bag of taffy.

The Hawaiian Fudge Company has the best fudge! It is fresh and authentic Hawaiian Fudge. Prices are affordable to buy for self or as a gift. Highly recommend to visit any of their stores if ever in Maui.

I didn’t even get the chance to order because the staff’s attitude completely put me off. The lady working there was noticeably dry and unwelcoming towards me, in stark contrast to how cheerful and friendly she was with the other three customers she served—two before me and one after. When the item I asked for wasn’t available, she didn’t even bother suggesting an alternative. It felt like I was being treated differently for no apparent reason.

I want to make a note of this: During my visits, I noticed that the amount of ice cream I received for a single scoop and a double scoop was the same. I paid extra for a second scoop that didn't seem to exist. However, I must say that the flavors were fantastic, especially the dulce de leche.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Worth a Try — But Maybe Not the 90-Minute Line I had heard so much about Papi’s Ohana from both locals and fellow travelers, so I decided to check it out for myself. I arrived around 8:00 a.m. and, like many others, ended up waiting in line for 90 minutes — yes, ninety — as you’ll see from the photos. I’ll admit, I seriously debated whether it was worth the wait. I don’t typically believe any food — especially breakfast pastries — should take that long to get, and I even considered leaving more than once. But eventually, I made it to the front and ordered the cinnamon roll, mango scone, and jalapeño & spam croissant. The verdict? The pastries were definitely tasty and generously sized, especially the cinnamon roll and scone. They’re rich, fresh, and satisfying — no question they know how to bake. However, would I say it’s worth a 90-minute wait? Probably not. Interestingly, after grabbing coffee a block away at Bad Ass Coffee, I circled back — and they were still selling cinnamon rolls with no line in sight. I get that many small businesses like this operate with limited staff and capacity, especially on the islands. But it’s hard to shake the feeling that the long wait has become part of the hype. Still, if you’re nearby and the line is reasonable — or you’re just in no rush — it’s absolutely worth a try. The baked goods live up to their reputation, just not necessarily the wait. Pro tip: Get there closer to 10am, grab a coffee nearby, and check back — you might get lucky without the crowd.

Great breakfast spot. I did go for the cinnamon roll and it was really good but thought the ham and cheese croissant was the best thing i had. Tried the Portuguese croissant as well was decent would of liked a little more spice in the sausage. Aloha scone was a big surprise as well. Very good, scones are usually dry this was super moist great flavor. Staff was excellent and very nice. You will wait in line. Think i showed up 15 minutes before they opened and I think I waited 45 minutes. Bring an umbrella or go to work on your tan/sunburn. No shade in line but definitely worth it.

We came here as many people on Facebook recommended it. We 1st came around 8:15 this morning & there was a long line (not pictured). We came back at 9:30 as I saw another review that stated they were told by a worker the best time to come is 9-9:30. The line was much shorter (3rd pic), but many things were sold out (2nd pic) by that time. We didn’t mind though since we came for the cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was $10 & worth every penny. It was very light & sweet & sooooooo good.

Everyone who visits Maui has heard of Papi’s for their famous cinnamon rolls from their social media. It really does live up to the hype. The rolls are huge, soft, pull apart in texture, covered in a tasty frosting. One is enough to split for two people. But even better than the roll was the ham and cheese croissant I had. Wow that was tasty. The line here does suck, about 90 minutes standing in the hot sun. You can order coffee from the shop online and drink in line, but still expect more than a sixty minute wait.

Went to this place early in the morning and waited in line for almost an hour before it opened — totally worth it if you’re a cinnamon roll fan! Tried their king-size roll, and wow, it’s massive and super flavorful. A bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but still absolutely delicious and soft. The smell alone makes it hard to resist. Definitely a must-try spot if you love fresh, gooey cinnamon rolls.

First off meet Linda! She is amazing! Her energy, her light, her positivity is exceptional! Just go meet this lovely lady! Now on to the food. The line is long since the quality is excellent. I strolled in at 1:45pm just to see what it was about. They were sold out of everything, I was able to get a cinnamon roll. I left and got into my car and tried a bite. Then another and another. It was delicious! Went back in the morning and tried more of their delicious selections. They were scrumptious. Go here early. God bless this place!

Literally THE BEST cinnamon roll on the island but might be the best one I’ve had anywhere! The people are so nice too and when they told me to come back in the evening for the pizza I sure did and it did not disappoint either! Wow so delicious! I guess I got lucky to bc I’ve seen huge lines but managed to come at the end of the rush and got almost the last cinnamon roll! Felt all around lucky to not have to wait in line and to get to try the delicious cinnamon rolls and the pizza! Can’t wait to go back! Call early to order your pizza ahead of time. You won’t regret it!

Definitely stop by Coconut Caboose for some fresh coconut and shave ice!! Super friendly service - I would recommend you try their ice creams. Made with fresh fruit and maple syrup! I had their shave ice (made with coconut water) and lilykoi ice cream. The ice cream was so fresh and tarty. Coconuts are HUGE! Once you're done drinking the water, they will crack the coconut open for you to eat the inside. So glad we stopped by!

We LOVED the Coconut Caboose. Perfect little snack after swimming or snorkeling. You can tell the owners are passionate about the ingredients that they use. Highly recommend taking the drive out to Honolua Bay Lookout and trying the Coconut Caboose. 10/10

If you like coconuts, this is an absolute must. Best shaved ice I’ve had. You can taste and see that everything is natural. Jeremy has a big heart for his work and islands.

This was a very fun stop. We were greeted by a very friendly lady, who gave us a sample of almost everything on the menu! There are so many delicious things, we couldn’t decide on what to get, we ended up buying a couple. The coconut gelato was to die for! We also had the cold brew coconut coffee which was amazing! Tasted exactly like coconut coffee, yummy. We also took some miso coconut jerky, we were really surprise with the flavor and texture. It almost tasted like meat. After we got out food we got to sit in the truck, they set it up with chairs and a table. It was very cute, I loved it. Thank you for everything, mahalo!

My experience here was fantastic. In my opinion, this is the best shaved ice place on Maui; even better than Ululani’s! The service here is so amazing, and Leah was the kindest, most helpful person ever! The shaved ice has such a fluffy, soft, flavorful feel, and the ice cream and condensed milk drizzled in the top completes it to be the best shaved ice I’ve ever had in my life. This place is truly so underrated! My son tries shaved ice wherever he goes, and he said this was truly the best he’s ever had!

Unfortunately the experience here was not great. We asked for a sample and we were given the opportunity for one sample. I understand not giving out a ton but I didn’t want to spend $7 on a snow cone a kiddo didn’t like. After we got our snow cones the employee then stated “those have to be eaten outside.” While I understand that snow cones are sticky, I was waiting for my family to get theirs and how do you have a snow cone shop and don’t allow people to eat inside?! Also, there was hardly any seating outdoors to enjoy them. The shop needs to consider adding more seating if the won’t allow anyone inside to eat. Lastly, the employee was not kind about staying we needed to enjoy them outside after we explained I was waiting for my kids to get theirs. Overall, not a great experience.

We visited Hawaii with a mission to rank all the shaved ice places in walkable distance to Whaler’s Village and can say that this is the best we tried. The shaved ice is fluffy, the service was great, and without any toppings, the shaved ice really shined. Great texture, and though there isn’t a very wide or exotic range of flavors, it still tastes great and more natural than other places we tried.

My husband and I went to the spot and had the best experience!! The lady was sooo lovely and also both of our shave ice cones were delicious!!!! The ice was indeed very fluffy and the icecream at the bottom was thick and creamy!!!! Mahalo for this lovely treat!

Not friendly at all. They hand you your shaved ice and then ask you to leave. The flavors tasted pretty bland as well. If you dont mind driving a little further to Big Wave Shaved Ice Co they are very friendly and have natural flavors that taste amazing!

We had mixed experiences at this shop. The ice cream was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Some of the best coconut ice cream I have ever had and the Kona combination flavor was also divine. The coffee was pretty good, but not amazing. But when we had to eat there for lunch during a storm we were very disappointed with the food. I had a chicken caesar salad and the flavor was fine but the chicken was extremely chewy. My husband had a tuna sandwich that he also said was just ok. And then of course, everything is expensive. We also had the ham and cheese croissants for breakfast one day and the croissant was very yummy! So just sort of hit or miss but if you want ice cream, it’s a great stop!

Very good smoothies, yogurt was decent and breakfast food is all premade heated via a microwave. Don’t come here for breakfast but everything else is good

Great coffee! AMAZING ice cream! Good smoothies and pastries! Also have breakfast and light lunch options regarding salads, sandwiches and fruit. Their Kona mud pie ice cream… let me tell you. And macadamia nut milkshake … let me tell you! Definitely went here … I think every day staying at the royal Lahaina o.0

Great option for ice cream at the resort here. Really convenient having it right on site. Our favorite was the lilikoi sorbet and the coffee ice cream (which I forgot the name of). Espresso was also surprisingly good here.

I am very late to write my review, but given the situation in Maui and the devastation left by the fires, I wanted to take time to review all the wonderful places we visited in August. Royal Scoop is located inside the Royal Lahaina Resort and they serve the best frozen Kona coffee drink which is so satisfying in the summer heat. The ice cream is delicious as well and they service a decent selection of fast breakfast food items as well. This is a must try when you are in Maui.

The ice cream was good but not worth it. It’s okay but not delicious. Also the service is terrible ! The lady’s not nice. She was kind of rushing but we was the only costumer there! The worst service during our € days in Maui. She is not welcoming and no smiles and no thank you!

The best priced food in close proximity. Their sandwiches are fresh and tasty. I have also tried the POG smoothy, organic acai bowl, chef's salad, macadamia coffee, kona dark roast, and americano. Staff is welcoming, friendly and informative.
