Great vibe and atmosphere, welcoming staff. Open early and centrally located in Port Arthur. I've tried a few different roasts and ventured into espresso territory, but the coffee is barely drinkable. Often bitter, the roasts are naively processed and lack complexity. I hope the Roastery will continue to hone its skills and develop better tasting coffee.

Had a great pour-over, clean and well-made, though a bit light for my taste. The shop was pretty crowded, making it hard to hang out, and the attached bakery was already sold out by noon. Still, worth a visit if you're nearby and want quality coffee.

I came here on a Sunday and found that ot was closed, today I was interested to check for working hours and seems like this coffee shop has no regular hours at all( closes at 3 p.m.) . For someone living in a not much lively town such as Thunder Bay, I was hoping to enjoy my weekends or after work time in a cozy place such as yours but I was truly dissappointed.

Very nice building. Efficient staff. Good foam. Nice art in my drink. Something was up with the espresso shot in my cappuccino though. It was fairly sour. Perhaps a little more time dialling in would be helpful.

The coffee and snacks, Delicious. The service, Prompt and Helpful. The atmosphere, Immaculate! The church building is a fantastic spot for this coffee shop with beautiful windows and art all around and plants everywhere to make the space feel beautiful, warm, and peaceful. Highly recommend. Also there is a room at the top of the tower available, when not in use, for a nice view out into the town. Worth a look if you have the time

This place is much more than 5 stars. The interior is absolutely stunning, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The seating area is beautifully designed, complete with books and games to enjoy. Their coffee is excellent—I tried the flat white and cinnamon twister, and both were fantastic. They alter the pastries every other day. The barista is incredibly friendly and ensures you leave with a smile. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Thunder Bay.

The Habit Coffee and Bakeshop is a really welcoming spot, located inside a beautifully repurposed old church. There's plenty of seating, a solid menu of drinks and baked treats, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a flat white and it was smooth and well made, clearly benefiting from the high-quality machine they use. The playroom for kids was a great bonus and made it easy to relax. Would definitely come back again.

Very pleasant service; good espresso drinks/professional barista protocols and great old school “coffeehouse” atmosphere. A very rare jewel all along the north shore of Superior. Entrance is subtle and not easy to find ore-caffeine - very self effacing, around back with little signage or fanfare, like some old speakeasy. If you find it, you deserve to be here. Baked goods are top notch, too.

This café is inside a beautiful old church. It’s very peaceful and quiet — perfect for relaxing. I had a latte and chai tea, both were really good. The loaf was sweet and crunchy. The big stained-glass window makes the place feel warm and special. A lovely spot to sit, enjoy your coffee. Took a break in Thunder Bay on the way roadtrip — and this was the perfect stop to slow down.

Stopped by Up Shot Coffeehouse for some much need caffeine. I ordered a small latte and a medium flat white. The latte had a good flavor and was enjoyable. The flat white, on the other hand, came out very hot and the taste was not quite what I was expecting at first, but as it cooled down it became more pleasant and I ended up enjoying it a bit more. The cafe itself has plenty of seating and was very quiet at the time of our visit, which made it a comfortable spot to relax for a while. Overall, it is a decent place for a coffee stop if you are in the area.

Upshot Coffeehouse has been my go-to location for years now. Whether it’s in the morning, noon, or afternoon, I can always count on them for great coffee. Their seasonal menus are my personal favourites, and they always have unique flavours that I love trying. Their treats and snacks are also delicious. They are no doubt the best in town! :)

Crystal and Aundrea are hands-down the best baristas in town. They always remember my order and greet me with such kindness. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and it’s one of the few spots where I feel totally comfortable bringing my baby along for a coffee date. They’re so accommodating and thoughtful, making every visit a treat. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I was shocked the moment I opened the cup. The entire rim was extremely dirty. I can’t believe they served a cup like this— it makes me seriously question their basic sense of hygiene. This was the most disappointing experience I’ve had since coming to Thunder Bay. Is this what the city of Thunder Bay is like…?

I work down the street and frequently stop in to get an iced chai and a sandwich on my lunch break. The ladies are always very nice, the drinks are always good and the sandwiches are just want I need for a quick lunch! Would definitely recommend.

Great design, great location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food selection was great. I ordered burgers with salad on the side. The salad could be more flavourful but still tasted healthy! The burger was delicious! I would definitely go back to try other items in the menue.

The food was spectacular. The appetizers all seemed appealing, decided with the Baked Brie to start. Delicious and good portion. Shrimp and Lobster dinner was very well made. Portion of seafood was more than fair, definitely recommend. Also tried the Lamb Chops, which was good but slightly under seasoned. Cooked perfectly. The restaurant was nicely decorated. Great lighting, big windows. Patio and scenery would be spectacular in summer as it’s right beside Lake Superior.

Pork belly hash was delicious here!! Also enjoyed the ceaser🍸which was presented beautifully with a pickle and a slice of bacon. Sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, waitress was super kind and outgoing.

Awesome place! I’ve celebrated my birthday with Bight. Lobster pasta was creamy! Fried Chicken was also special. Duck Confit the best!!!! Nice vibe; great value! Worth the money!!!!!

Nice modern restaurant in the harbor area of Thunder Bay. Plenty of choice, many cocktails AND mocktails. Sandwich was excellent and the “dessert” was nice and sweet. Service is fast and friendly.

The food is FANTASTIC!! Best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had- it’s real house made pastrami- not the pink shaved stuff from the butcher. And they have the best GF buns I’ve had at a restaurant! Highly recommend.

Food was terrible. Ordered steak & ale pie and mac & cheese, I have no idea how can you screw up these simple menus, floor was under staffs, service was super slow, at least 45mins until food was served and it was not cheap, not recommended and not anymore.

Came for the #UltimateBurgerChallenge Who can turn down a Lasagna Burger? Deep Fried!? Great on tap beer menu. Service was top notch from Bri, super helpful and sold me on a Scotch Egg.... Oh... and the burger, it was great! The marinara had a kick, the lasagna was great, and the roasted red peppers were a great touch.

Our server, Leah, was awesome! I love Red Lion for their gluten free foods (could live off of the popcorn chicken), but have had some slow or inattentive service in the past. But tonight, Leah was perfection! Quick, knowledgeable, funny, and checked on us enough so we knew we weren’t forgotten, but not so much that it felt awkward. Keep up the good work RL!

Service was absolutely top-notch! Jordan was an absolute legend – constantly checkin’ in on us even wi’ Jay’s game on the telly. The place was heaving, but you’d swear we were the only folk in the room the way he looked after us. Had a few cracking games o’ pool, some fine grub, and were treated like royalty start tae finish. The man was even sourcing loonies for the pool table fae god knows where – they just kept appearin’ even though the till was empty! Jordan deserves a medal – pure class fae the lad. Might even go for a pint wi’ the boy when he’s aff!

Ordered the goat cheese salad and Mac and cheese. Exceptionally poor portion size (what you would expect as a side dish, not a full portion) for the price. Food was bland, not likey to order takeout from here again.

Loved the atmosphere with the live music and pool. The food was next level (you must try the pulled pork perogie) and our server Bri was also next level. 100% recommend you have got to give it a try.

I had their burger called "The Smokeshow" which was the winner of the 2024 Novemburger. It was delicious and the presentation was unique and fun! I also had the Fat Chips, which are to die for! Our server. Katie, went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of, and also made the best Whiskey Sour I've ever had. I'll surely be back!

If we want to have a good coffee, this is our place to go. Amazing coffee, varieties of baked goods (different from day to day) and super friendly staff! We love calico :)

Nice little spot to grab a quick snack and well made hot drink. I got the regular latte and a mixed berry scone. The latte was made to perfection and the scone was warm and moist will come back!

I love popping in at Calico, the staff are always so welcoming and knowledgeable, the treats are always fresh and delicious, and my favourite things to do is to see what the feature drinks are! Great coffee, great people, it's such a gem of a place.

i never went to this place before today and i enjoyed myself. i went there as a little study date with my friends. the atmosphere was really good and got lots done. i got the hot chocolate and it was very good along with the chocolate crinkle cookie. overall a great place

A spot that you definitely need to stop at. The customer service is immaculate, the drinks are served to a high degree and the environment is cozy and welcoming. The chai I've had here is a lacking in spice and depth as well as they overload some desserts like the lavender cookies but their lattes and mochas have been great and their scones are absolutely divine. Highly recommend to stop by and enjoy!

Bay Village Coffee house brew tastes tremendous and will now become part of my weekly coffee rotation. They have a nice snack selection offering cookies, scones, brownies, doughnuts and muffins. Gluten free options are available as well. Get your order at the Bay Village walk up window, or park by the front door and a friendly masked face will take your order right at your vehicle. There is wheelchair accessible parking, as well as the entrance once indoor dining is eventually available. I do miss the atmosphere sitting inside. The price was a bit higher than I’m used to when ordering a sandwich and a cookie, and then I took a bite and realized where my money went. If there was anything that I would change, it would be one more layer of meat in the sandwich. They will also turn their sandwiches into a wrap if that’s what blows your hair back. FYI. If I were married, I would leave my wife for a Sweet Marie Bar. They are that good.

Ordered iced Americano & flatbread. Flatbread is nicely made however coffee is soso, not cold and a bit too watery, nothing to shout about. The lady and gentleman behind the counter are very friendly and welcoming tho.

We came from Montreal and stopped at this lovely little coffee shop. We tried the breakfast sandwiches, and they were honestly the best in town. The coffee was excellent, and we especially appreciated the wide variety of milk alternatives since my husband is lactose intolerant. We loved it so much that we went back a second time during our vacation to try their muffins—and they were amazing too! The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the very first hello. This place is a must-visit—you won’t be disappointed. Absolutely love it here! We even bought a hat to remember our great experience :)

I stopped here for breakfast on my way to the airport and was greeted with warm smiles and great food. The pumpkin spice latte was perfect, the breakfast sandwich was very tasty, and the pumpkin spice cake cookies were unbelievably delicious! I highly recommend anyone to come by for good food and friendly service.

Bay Village Coffee serves good coffee and sandwiches. We enjoyed our coffee! The sandwich was not the regular tasting. It had fresh veggies and had the fresh taste to it. We had ordered a Vegan sandwich which consisted of tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, lettuce, onions, and a spread. I believe it was hummus spread. The sandwich was a little sweet tasting! Friendly staff

The team at Bay Village always make me feel like a VIP superstar when I walk in. Their bright sunny space with beautiful art and fabulous in-house made treats and coffee flavours is such an oasis.

2024: unfortunately didn’t like their iced chai latte but bbq panini was so delicious loved their cheesecake and gelato too 2025: tried their lemon cheesecake 10/10 this cafe is perfect for quick grabs, but what makes it special is the patio. love sipping cold coffee on a hot summer day. highly recommended for thunder bay people.

What made it even better was enjoying it in their garden patio—peaceful, charming, and a great little escape from the usual hustle. The americano was delicious and the pastries looked amazing. I ordered a pistachio croissant that was really tasty. The patio was super cute. Overall, a new favorite in Thunder Bay!

Has been a must stop every time since its so cute, welcoming & yummy! Cannolis are amazing. Stopped in on Sept 3rd around 10am and the two baristas working did not pass the vibe check. Didn't feel like they wanted me there, and didn't make me feel like I was at the same place I've grown to appreciate!

Visiting with family, and while the food and beverages were good (albeit expensive), the music outside was so loud that we had trouble hearing each other! Several polite requests to turn down the music a bit didn't help. It's a shame because otherwise it's a pretty nice place.

I’m a regular at Windy Shores, it’s my favourite cafe in town! Sadie and Kyle are amazing - welcoming and professional. I’m always greeted like a friend. (And to the woman who said Sadie greeted her with a frown, and the oat milk latte was sour - nothing could be further from the truth! Sadie is sweet and kind, and the oat milk latte is my regular drink - I had just had an excellent one that very afternoon!) Anne O’Brien

Ordered a latte with oat milk, which I felt was over priced and was very disappointed when I couldn’t even enjoy it because it tasted so sour! Could only bring myself to drink a third and now have a belly ache. The girl working had a frown on her face and did not seem particularly friendly. Only thing this place has going for it as far as my experience is the location. Will return tomorrow and see if they can make it up to me and may change my mind.

Great location! We sit on the patio or take our items out into the marina. Great variety of different hot and cold drinks, and amazing baking! The orange glazed cookies are delightful. Staff are always friendly and inviting and happy to explain the more upscale drinks on their menu! I've become a regular.

When I first moved to Thunder Bay, and I had no friends, I decided that I was going to try all the cafes in the area to amuse myself. I even made a whole ranking system for my cafe visits. Windy Shores Cafe ranked the highest out of all the cafes in the area, and my experiences with the FRIENDLY staff just keeps getting better and better. They have a great selection of drinks, fresh baked goods, and a comfy/aesthetic sitting area. They're also one of the few cafes open on sunday. You'd be hard pressed to find a better location tbh. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Everything I've ever had at Uncommon Baked Goods has become my new favourite treat - which is why I ordered a custom cake from them for my wedding. It was probably a shorter turnaround than most custom orders, but it turned out absolutely fantastic. I seriously could not have asked for a better cake or a better experience.

Uncommon baked goods has become a Sunday tradition for my family! Grabbing a delicious cup of coffee every time we come here and being greeted in such a friendly way! This is the best baking in town. The creativity of the owner and pastry chef is unparalleled in Thunder Bay. I've been told by more than one person that the croissants are the best they've had. I cannot wait for the Christmas goodies and stocking stuffers! The lumps of coal and caramels are incredible.

Uncommon Baked Goods was a great find, everything we tried was top notch. We stopped in after grabbing coffee at St. Paul Roastery, and it more than made up for their neighbor bakery "Swell" being sold out. Plus, the market it’s in has a great vibe overall.

I’ve had wonderful experiences with the most delicious treats here! The highlight was definitely the London Fog – it was the absolute best! Reasonably priced and I can’t wait to go back :)

I stopped at the Bean Fiend on a dreary, rain and cool day for a latte to warm up, breakfast burrito and a bowl of soup. I was overly ambitious with my food order as the portions were more than reasonable but SO delicious. Had an oat latte and loved that it was served in a big pottery mug with a heart ❤️ The service was so friendly and warm, even the other people in the cafe were friendly. So glad I stopped in. It won’t be the last time!

Loved that they had plant based/ vegan options!! The soup was SO good!! Also got a homemade chocolate zucchini muffin also yummy! Seating inside was nice, very clean and cozy. They do have free parking (off street), it’s just you have to go through a pretty rough alley way with a lot of pot holes! The staff was really nice and quick and helpful answering our questions!

Great little coffee shop with a nice little menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They used locally sourced foods, where they can. There is a patio or front and back. I had a cappuccino and the in house mugs are very nice. They do take out as well. If you are looking for a good coffee, a nice atmosphere, and friendly staff this is the place to go.

This is a great little spot for breakfast or a quick lunch bite. We ordered coffee, but decided to buy food after talking to the owner for a little bit. He recommended the Diablo sandwich. We had that with the taco soup, and the toasted bagel with apricot jam. It was incredible. The Diablo was the perfect amount of spicy flavor. Will definitely come back if in Thundaer Bay!

Loved this cafe!!! It was my boyfriend’s and I go to spot. We travelled all the way from Mississauga and it really gave us that homey feel. Will definitely come back just for this cafe alone

There was a sad toddler there, upset that his baby brother was getting all the attention and the owner of the restaurant sat down with the kid, cheered him up, and explained how he himself is an older brother and it was real nice. What a nice place. Lots of vegan options and my god the food was good. If you're reading this, definitely go support this little local restaurant instead of grabbing the same burger or wrap you usually do down the street.

Good vibes! The ladies who bake are passionate about their craft! They spoke to us with passion and you could tell they poured love into their baking! Establishment was clean. No seating. No washrooms

So the pictures contain 2 Deli Turkey Sandwiches and one CCBLT. All the sandwiches are delicious. I went to sweet north 3 times in a row for their sandwiches and I'll probably keep going there. I love that the sandwiches are prepared as you order so they're fresh. I really loved that. All the ingredients were so fresh and you could taste it. I would highly recommend it. I have only tried their sandwiches but I intend to try their other stuff too.

The iced latte and cookie were really good! Lots of pastry selection to choose from. The butter tarts would be better if they didn't store them in such a cold fridge; they are too hard and the filling inside is hard. The staff are very friendly; i dropped my butter tart and it was replaced immediately. Lots of nice seating inside.

I ordered 12 cookies & 3 small pieces of cake = $55.00, which I found pricey so I will not be returning.

If I could give this place double the stars I would. If you don't eat here at least once when visiting TB you are nuts. The BEST pretzel I have ever eaten. Get the salted warmed up with the beer cheddar dip. Had a fantastic bowl of loaded baked potato soup after going on a long walk about. The baked goods are delectable. Great selection of comfort foods and drinks. And they serve beer!! Cannot recommend this bakery cafe diner enough. 20/10 can't wait to come back for more!

A good place to hangout or to work. Comfortable and quiet but tou guys should really focus more on the food quality. You have a great menu but the taste is missing. We had latte and a few bakery items, honestly, I am not able to appreciate even one of them. Nice seating area but lacks quality. Hope to see you guys soon !

Stopped by this café looking for a caffeine fix. At the time, we found street parking available. The space inside is quite large with plenty of seating and a nicely decorated atmosphere. Music was playing and the vibe was relaxed. They had a buffet going, and someone who we believe was the manager or owner warmly greeted us and explained how the buffet worked along with the pricing. We ordered a regular coffee, iced coffee, and cappuccino. The coffee was okay. I usually order a straight cappuccino with no sweetener, but this one had too much milk and not enough foam. It also had a subtle sweetness to it that I didn’t enjoy. There was a small mix-up with the regular coffee, which caused a bit of a delay, but the service was friendly and attentive overall. They also had some unique non-alcoholic drinks from Sleeping Giant Brewery. We tried the ginger ale and the blood orange soda. The ginger ale was especially good with a strong, real ginger flavor, and the blood orange soda was also tasty. These canned drinks were the highlight of the visit, though they can likely be found elsewhere. The menu was quite large with many options for food but we did not try.

A nice little cafe with good prices and cute decorations. The music wasn’t too loud and there were nice, large windows. The food was good, but not great. The carrot cake was a bit dry and not so punchy as the dessert usually is. We also tried a lemon bar, which was punchier, though the crust was a little much. Overall, I’d be happy to go back any day, but it would probably not be my first choice.

It's such a cute Cafe! Loved the menu! It was spacious, clean and really great to enjoy breakfast in. Sandwiches, dessert & lattes! They did also have gluten free option for one of my friends. Also quite picturesque! We loved the service as well. The servers were friendly and warm! We'll definitely be back!

Love this place. Coffee is excellent, food is great & staff are friendly and efficient. I only have one complaint. While I was there last visit enjoying lunch & conversation with a friend suddenly we were blasted with LOUD music. I asked a staff member if she could please turn it down a bit but she told me no she couldn’t. We ate our lunch, skipped desert & left. The lovely ambiance was completely ruined for us. Will try again & hopefully not have a repeat.

First time visit today and it was fantastic. I decided to work for half the day with a friend. Got there for 9am and had a latte and enjoyed a sunny window seat. Lots of eclectic decor. Didn’t feel like I was being crowded. It wasn’t too noisy but just enough noise that you didn’t feel like you had to whisper. Stayed for lunch and had the special with an iced matcha latte. It was all delicious. I will be back for sure!

My husband and I went for lunch last Friday at the Ora Cafe, and we're delighted with the food! We each had the club sandwich with potato soup! I recommend this quaint cafe which is perfectly situated in the downtown core! Gerry was a fabulous host and chef!

I’m a huge fan of this local brew! I highly recommend the freshly roasted coffee and give it as gifts to all my coffee lover friends. The quality is to perfection and the staff are brilliant, profession and friendly. I was fortunate enough to be given a grand tour of the production facility. Authentic coffee and immersive Thunder Bay experience. While sipping on a well - crafted Americano, I witnessed a table of women speaking in a First Nation language. As a tourist, this is the best place to go for a caffeine boost.

good coffee but buying it in the bag and tin way can add up. who knew that selling coffee would make you rich. not over priced at all for beans........... need to find another place perhaps. the cost is getting to deep for my pocket.

Taste good. Not too sweet. But it is not chewy like... I expect extra sweet when I eat macaron but this one is like eating snack. It is good for who doesn't like sugar high

I am not a coffee drinker, but their desserts are to die for! I've never found a bakery where I love every single option until now! It also has a warm atmosphere and service is always pleasant.

One of the best places for dessert in town. Their desserts are all delicious, from their 2$ cupcakes, to their cakes, bars, macarons, cookies, and cheesecakes - all are to die for. The staff is always super friendly and the inside is decorated with lots of local art. Perfect little spot to hang out with friends, have a romantic date, or just to treat yourself.

I held the door some someone on a bike entering the store. No "Thank you" at all. He takes his bike and goes into the kitchen, clearly showing me he works there. How ignorant. Staff here are always short with their service. Even from the older man who lacks a sense of humor. Instead of taking constructive criticism and handling it professionally, they lash out at you. Whether online on FB pages or emails. Their cupcakes are ok. Cake is better then the icing. Icing is bland. Red velvet it good!! Bars are overly sweet. I have been here many times over several years. Not once have i had a bad experience. The bake goods are always amazing and the range of teas allows for everyone to find one they will like.

Awesome assortment of sweet treats. Something for everyone. Cupcakes , cakes , cookies , mufffins , loaves , squares , biscotti , macarons and I hope I have not forgotten anything. They have an assortment of teas , coffee ect. And have a nice environment to sit and enjoy yourself. We go there everywerk and download our week to each other .

I ordered for seventh heaven cake for my brother's birthday.The cake was in taste similar to its name, really yummy. As I placed order from India, they accommodated me so cordially.Thanks a lot.

Had to try the Thunder Bay Persian, and hollands was closed so we came here. Overall I’d say the Persian was okay, but nothing mind blowing. I’ve had better baked goods but that’s likely not due to the Persian Man at all. Prices were very reasonable and the other bakery items like cannolis etc were solid.

I wanted my family member to try a Persian since I have had many over the years. They had a few different flavors to choose from including the original, blueberry, and another berry option. We went with the original and the blueberry. As you can see from the photos, this batch looked a little light on the icing, which took away from the overall experience compared to what I remember. The blueberry was not very good and I would not order it again, but the original tasted the way it should. If there had been a bit more icing on top, it would have been better. Overall, Persian's are not quite as hyped as I remembered. These days I think there are other desserts I would reach for first instead.

You just can’t pass through Thunder Bay without trying a Persian before you leave. Not just any old Persian. A Persian Man Persian. How many times can I say the word Persian in this review? Let’s find out shall we. The real game changer is when you cut the Persian in half and grill those bad boys in a pan with butter. That right there will have you rethinking your life and everything you’ve ever know. I have to be careful when promoting this heavenly pastry, because people who reside in Thunder Bay will hype Persians up to such unattainable heights. You end up having a first timer taking their first bite as you awkwardly stare back at them, waiting, watching, analyzing their facial expressions as they chew. All in the hopes of seeing some life altering reaction that generally ends with the first timer saying. “Yeah, that’s pretty good. I was almost expecting it to improve my marriage by the way you described it to me.” I think we should under sell it to the first timers and have the Persian speak for itself. And to those who haven’t been to Thunder Bay, and may be a bit confused with this review. The Persian Man sells a pastry called a Persian. They are not selling the people that reside in Iran and Pakistan. I promise. Stop on in and get a coffee with some lunch and don't you dare forget the Persian. If you made it through reading this review in it’s entirety, and you’re keeping score. That was 12 Persians in this review. Why not go buy a dozen?

Was driving through thunder bay and heard the Persian buns here were a must try. Was not disappointed! Super cheap too and delicious. Frosting was light, sweet and airy. I think they whip it to incorporate air to get the texture?? Was amazing

We’ve heard lots about the Persians so we stopped in to buy some. The staff was quite friendly and quick. We bought 6 Persian doughnuts for $8 + tax. They’re bread-y, slightly cinnamon-y and the icing wasn’t too sweet. I think that’s exactly how a Persian is supposed to taste so 2 thumbs up!!! 👍🏼👍🏼

The Persian is great. It’s amazing how a simple looking donut tastes so delicious! However, the customer service was awful. The person helping us was rude. We asked a question and instead of answering it properly or nicely she created confusion. Then she went on to raise her voice and be rude about it. When we ordered the donuts she seemed uninterested to help and was not happy about the order. Maybe she was having a bad day and these are tough times. However, other reviews seem to share the same sentiment about their customer service. So maybe it’s not a one off experience.

This is a smaller newer location. They get their persian doughnuts from the main store on Tungsten where they are all made. These guys also close earlier.

I have order a latte for my breakfast with Double Chocolate Cheesecake. We have got their special item Sfogliatella which I never seen before in other places. Very local and warm place for people enjoy morning. While we visited, here has groups of elders staying and enjoying their morning. Really cozy and warm-hearted spot for a break or morning with those lovely kind waitresses.

Delicious meals & drinks! There's a range of pastries and sandwiches to eat. Also a lot of dessert options and drinks. The servers were just such an absolute delight that my friend and I said we'll definitely be back. Place was packed with a lot of customers too! Lovely place.

What a wonderful place. Quite hidden but an absolute gem. The cappuccino was great with a huge variety of pastries, and the staff very warm. Might turn into a regular there soon

This is a perfect place to have a coffee visit or lunch or even a specialty drink. The ladies are delightful and it felt like being at someones home. People came in and out and the owners knew most people by name. I've already sent people there and can't wait to go back. I was told they have been there something like 28 years. The homemade cheesecake was so good. The coffee was perfect.

An amazing local Thunder Bay spot for anything from delicious drinks to equally delicious baked goods! Or even stop in for lunch during the week if you are in the area. The super friendly staff are sure to put a smile on your face while you're there!

Stopped in with a group for coffee. I have an Irish cream cappuccino and chocolate cannoli. Both were amazing.

This restaurant seems to have some good reviews. Decided to try it , as I’m out of town. I ordered the egg salad, and the chicken pesto sandwich. Don’t! Please don’t order chicken pesto.. The chicken was sparse, very salty, and it was just lathered thickly in mayonnaise .. it was sloppy. I ended up taking the sandwich apart and removing the thick mayo. I ate only a small portion of it. (The bread was fresh) The egg salad is for later… I’m hoping my dinner won’t be ruined too !! $27 . What a waste for 2 sandwiches. It’s a self serve restaurant, and when paying for the food in advance, I gave a tip. Wish I didn’t !!

We had hired them for our wedding. They served our food on plastic colorful patio plates, of which, some were dirty, chipped, worn out and mis-coloured. The Chicken was extremely dry and most of our guests did not finish their meal. Ron and Lisa are a pleasure to deal with, but provided no compensation afterwards letting them know how unimpressed we were.

"Forgotten, hidden gem" It's so good to go back to this hidden gem. The food is made fresh every day with local ingredients. Soups, sandwiches, and desserts are made fresh daily, offering a wide variety to cater to different tastes and unique fresh flavours. Most importantly, there's no loud music BLARING in the background like every other coffee shop in Thunder Bay. You can come here doing work/school work, having a conversation and coffee, and not having to talk over the music. This alone will make me come back time and time again Good job

Our family had a celebration of life with over 60 people at our home. Fox on the run ,catered all the food. We are so grateful for the exceptional , and kind service we received. So many compliments from our guests on all the food. Thank you Fox on the Run.

Great soup and sandwich for a quick bite and very reasonable price. I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was toasted on some kind of nut bread which was very delicious .. will stop in again

I stopped by the Fat Panda expecting it was a restaurant (it was a vape shop), but happily found this gem of a spot. The sandwhiches were amazing and so was the coffee. I highly recommend this place. The service was great and I loved the atmosphere.

I am so tired of wasting money here. I stop here before work out of convenience, but lately I have not gotten a single correct order. Medium coffee, two milk... simple enough? Wrong. I have gotten every variation of coffee EXCEPT what I order. The staff rush you through ordering, ask you to repeat yourself multiple times despite proper enunciation and pronounciation, and then shove an unlabelled drink out the window at you with no confirmation it is correct but they don't provide you with the opportunity to ask because they close the window immediately. Terrible service.

Same place, Same story. Ordered tea, got coffee. “Fixed” it by reusing the same cup because hygiene is optional, apparently. Paid cash, never got my change. Mystery drinks, recycled cups, and involuntary tips. what a treat!!

I just visited this Tim’s I had very bad experience crew punch in my order then another crew member comes up he put the extra charges on it My order was only Four cheese bagel toasted with herb & garlic cream cheese ( qty -2) it should be not more than 6.70 for both & they charged me 15.80 for that, so I asked them & they directly said I can call my supervisor but they were not ready to listen. Worst experience ever I daily use to go to the one on memorial that never happened with me before.

Had a wonderful experience at this tim hortons! Avery took my order and was friendly, efficient and quick! My coffee was very fresh, made exactly how I wanted and extremely quick too! I also watched her serve people in front of me displaying exceptional customer service skills! Kudos to Avery for making this place great. The manager should definitely give her a raise!!!

I would like to share my experience about this tim hortons as i am a regular costumer here and i never get disappointed about there service here all the staff is so polite here. I love the cleanliness that they maintain all the time doesn’t matter how busy is it .

As my first visit, I was not familiar with the menu. In all fairness, it was morning rush hour and went through the drive through. The server was a little impatient and food was ok.

Absolutely horrible service. Can't get an order right, and then the staff give me attitude and the side eye about it. Horrible staff, horrible service, and even after asking them to make it right I still got it wrong.

Basically for drive through considering there is no sitting area. I went in to pick up a mobile order and the place is well staffed to keep the things moving.

Nice coffeeshop like a hidden gem. Might take you a while to find it, but once you do you'll be glad you did. Pros: warm customer service. There's a pizzeria in the same location so that increases the options for food, and the pizza was great too. Quiet location if not packed, but could get a bit noisy once customers troop in. The Chai Latte is really really good. Cons: The address on Google maps is absolutely wrong. Don't know if it's been changed but Google maps took me on a merry-go-round for a while before I decided to take matters in my hands. It is in the same place as Mama Alfa's Pizzeria, so don't listen to Google maps.

This is my first week living in Thunder Bay and I already know that The Seattle Coffee House will be one of my favorite places to visit. I spent an afternoon here, having to work on my laptop. At first I was feeling a bit off about my day in general, but the "authentic" and "chill" atmosphere of the place and the kindness of the people who work here made me feel better! And even pretty productive. I don't know if this is just because it was a Tuesday, but the place was really calm, not packed at all, and I really appreciated that too. It's definitely worth the drive to the south of the city. I hope The Seattle Coffee House will stay around :) The view on Mount McKay is what I looked at from my table, so that's another perk. And of course, the coffee, the London Fog, and especially the gluten-free brownie were all really good!

I love the huge variety of drinks they have to offer. They have very nice staff working there and are patient with you when deciding what you want to order. Their cakes are delicious and worth the price. The atmosphere is cozy and comforting.

Not impressed, staff too busy BSn to clean tables n pay attention to fries so they’re not over cooked, ordered Classic Poutine which we thought would be traditional Cheese Curds n gravy but nope got over cooked fries shredded Mozzarella cheese n a very bland runny gravy🤢🥴🤦🏼‍♀️I’m not even from eastern Canada n I know classic traditional Poutine is cheese curds, lesson learned “Poutinerey” they are not, and we were the only ones inside the establishment

Meatball sub was horrendous, Mini doughnuts were burnt more then bbq ribs. I strongly recommend avoiding this place on your way into Thunder Bay. Many good options down the road.

Great place to stop, they've coffee, Coney burgers, poutine, carrot cake, old fashioned plain donuts. What else do you need? Robins and Hodder Greeks might be a better combo than Swiss chalet and Harvey's.

robins is much worse then tims, no doubt, but it was fast, and the people there where very nice to me and my dad when we went, so here is a 4 star!

Go in this morning because the drive thru was insanely long. I am the only customer inside the store. I order a French vanilla and a SIMPLY SAUSAGE on a English muffin. I order this specific sandwich because it doesn't have egg on it and I can't have egg. Well, they put egg on it. I kindly asked for it to be remade and proceed to watch him peel the slimy egg off my sandwich, wrap it back up, and hand it back to the person. I demanded a refund of course and will no longer be trusting Tim Hortons again. Like come on, it doesn't even come with egg on it. Learn your menu.

If I could give the s store a negative ZERO for the speed I absolutely 💯 would. The lady ahead of me waited 20 mins for a single soup !! I literally waited 10 mins for 2 single hash browns. So sad ..!!!

I’m a regular customer at this Tim Hortons location, but the evening and night shift service continues to disappoint. On July 14, I once again had a frustrating experience. I ordered a steeped tea, and as usual during these hours, it was served cold instead of hot. I also ordered a quencher with less ice, but the cup was still half filled with ice, completely ignoring my request. When I went back to politely address the issue and asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that both the person who made and served the drink were supervisors. That honestly made it worse—because if the supervisors can’t ensure basic service quality, what can I expect from the rest of the team? This is not a one-time issue—it's been happening frequently during the evening and night shifts. It’s extremely disappointing as a loyal customer to keep facing these problems. I really hope Tim Hortons management takes this seriously and makes improvements here.

Disappointed with the service. I ordered for steep tea. At the drive-thru window, the employee had an iced capp. I notified him that I ordered a steep tea and he quickly checked and brought a steep tea. I was already charged for an iced capp. I asked him about the money, and he said they are all the same price which I believed. Later, I found that it's not true. Instead of refunding the difference he lied to me.

I feel this Tim Hortons is one of the best. They’re quick, get my order right every time, and the people working here are really friendly.

Ordered an ICED green tea latte and it was made hot instead. Politely asked for it to be iced and the older male employee that’s always there said to his coworker “if they want it iced they should order it iced”….which i did, lol. Then i was handed a cup of straight whole milk.

It was a pleasure being there, and the coffee was delightful, complemented by excellent service! I highly recommend it!

Vanderwees garden Gallery. Our family arrived there at noon yesterday and the parking lot were almost full. I must say this must be the place you should go for not only for your Christmas but also for your unique gifts. John and his staff actually have the sense of art. All of the items here are eye-catching. They were well finished and various in design. The crystal copying items look like real if you don't touch them. Plenty of plants here are not only for Christmas but also for gardening or other style decorating. Asian people would love the tropical area. The chicken salad or hop pot would be better with lime leaves. :)) Try it if you want. I love the fountains here. People who love fong shui will find the one they need as all are 30% off. If you reach for the inside peace, come here and take a look at Buddha fountains. It would be relaxing to hear the sould of running water in your home this winter. Many people love the back area with photography set up. Thank John for choosing VietNam to produce the reusable bags in store. They're beautiful, durable and reasonable. Love it. The animals are at the side of the store. If you go to the coffee shop, ask staff for the food to feed goat and llama. During the year, kids can enjoy the playground on the side of the store. Come ASAP as the city is fighting so hard with covid.

One goes to VDW to get in the mood for Christmas. Yes, it was sparkly, lots of decor, the market was ok. But, without Christmas music, the atmosphere just wasn't there. Maybe I am the only one who is motivated by music, but I doubt it.

Great Christmas experience. Come every year to get our tree. Carries unique items all year round.
