My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying yesterday's breakfast at Pavilion Café & Bar, and it was nothing short of outstanding. I had the avocado toast paired with a chai latte, and my husband had eggs Benedict; both were absolutely delicious—honestly worthy of a Michelin star. The presentation, flavours, and quality were all top-tier. The café itself was spotless, and the atmosphere was incredibly inviting. The view is simply to die for—easily one of the most scenic breakfast spots we've experienced. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Service was quick and efficient, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for exceptional food, stunning views, and a truly memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

The Pavilion is a Warrnambool Icon, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the view no matter the weather. We just happened to chance a pod of dolphins in the bay which was amazing. Sorry no photos of the dolphins. Atmosphere and service was great, didn’t have a meal but the bowl of chips were great. A nice aioli or side sauce other than just tomato would have been great. Worth a coffee stop or lunch if you’re in the area. They don’t do a dinner service, only breakfast and lunch.

Came here for a breakfast on Wednesday morning. Had ‘The Pavilion’, a delicious and large breakfast meal with sourdough toast, poached eggs, bacon, mushrooms, pork sausage and tomato. Reasonably priced and the view was amazing from the seat. The ocean was a beautiful visual accompaniment to a culinary experience of a lifetime. Although, I would have preferred a window view down to the civic green as this is the main attraction of the Warrnambool area. Great place to propose, eat unhealthy amounts of bacon or share a classic yarn with the locals.

Spectacular and attentive service from the moment you arrive ! This is how cafes should be run - customer service, quick and perfect coffee, food on point and not over complicated. Well done team, you should be proud. Views over the bay add to the atmosphere and calmness.

The food was wonderful, well priced, very quick, very tasty! The staff were absolutely wonderful and attentive! The berry smoothie was a hit (no ice! ). The coffee is superb! Definitely coming back

Customer service was impeccable and each customer was welcomed warmly. The coffee was excellent in taste and temperature. Definitely 5 ⭐️ for the food. The quantity, taste and presentation was outstanding. Highly recommend a meal, or just the coffee.

Friendly, kind, atmosphere, with a big heart. We were greeted at the door as old friends would be, quickly seated and provided with water, reading material and menu's. The breakfast tacos are a must; fresh ingredients, vibrant colours and fantastic flavour profile will have you begging for more. Easily the best coffee in town regardless if you sit in or take-away, (or if you're me, both). My biggest take away from this place was how honest and kind the owner was. We chatted while waiting for my coffee to go, it's easy to see why this place is always so busy. Integrity is not something that can be taught but, it's easy to see this woman has it in spades. We can't wait to return for the tacos, and to see them continue to flourish.

LOVE!!!!!! The food really stood out. 9am in the morning but we gobbled every bit down. The breakfast tacos had layers of flavour and tons of ingredients that came together so well you may struggle to pinpoint what ingredients you're even eating in a bite. Eggs ben was possibly the best ive had in my memory and may have restored my faith in eggs ben.

Great little cafe! Nice variety on the menu and good coffee! Went back the next morning for a take away coffee and croissant and was delighted, I think one of the best coffee’s I’ve had. They were all too happy to add tomato to my ham and chees croissant. Got in the road nice and happy!

We had breakfast and coffees, husband had eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce had split before could eat it and the ham was very thin and cold, but the thick cut bread was great and overall still tasted good. I had scrambled eggs on toast and the bread was delicious and eggs nice and fluffy, smashed avocado was quite brown so not the freshest avocado. But overall an ok meal.

Extremely disappointed!!! Lunch with my daughter. I ordered flake and chips she ordered double cheeseburger with a side of chips. Meals were average. Chips were almost non existent. See photos. It looked like they were at the bottom of the chip barrel and split what was left between us, instead of cooking more. Photo 2: lifted fish to look for chips. Photo 3: daughter had just picked up burger. Only when we went to pay did we read on a small sign stuck to the counter that we had to pay an extra 15% due to it being a public holiday (they never verbally mentioned this at any stage before ordering, while ordering or at checkout). 😡😡

Amazing food and lovely service. The fish was fresh and perfectly battered. The burger was just delicious and so was the day breakfast. Would certainly come back again.

Had my breakfast here during my visit to Warrnambool, Victoria, and it was such a great experience! I ordered pancakes, a milkshake, and one battered fish — everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. 😋 The place has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, with options at the front and back. Inside, the vintage vibes really stood out — the peeling walls actually add to the aesthetic, giving it a cozy, nostalgic charm. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy a meal!

Service and people there were so nice, and hats off to Bryan in the kitchen, food was amazing and the time wait wasn’t too long but was worth the overall time wait. And as for the restaurant, was very cozy and calm with good music in the dining area

Fishtales was a fabulous find for a meal at any time of the day. Cooked to perfection, big country serves, happy staff, tables outside, inside and further inside. But a suggestion to the owner, make it more appealing to the passing trade. Add a big “Cafe” sign to the front door and/or windows and do something to the empty front space, left of the front door. Maybe add a pretty table and chairs there but definitely add “Cafe” to that window. Otherwise, most definitely recommend for the food, staff and atmosphere.

Great Cafe, clean with indoor, rear courtyard and front footpath tables (which is a good pet friendly option). Service was fast & friendly, food (fish) cooked to perfection. Chips were well drained and golden brown in a side serve bowl. Beaut iced coffee and coke was in a glass bottle!! Only get plastic in NSW. Really reasonable prices - would recommend. We stopped on our way through while touring the great ocean road. The food selection is massive and the staff is happy to help you navigate it. We got our food fast and everything tasted great. The restaurant is really clean and so were the bathrooms.

Great little cafe, I didn't stay as I was on the move so a friend and I bought a couple of the bowls - the haloumi one and the lemongrass tofu one. So nourishing and delicious, really good value. I came back again this morning on my way to the train station to buy the rice paper rolls for my trip, plus a hedgehog for my son. A++!!!

Nourishing and wholesome meals, soups and salads reasonably priced. Their nourish bowl and lentil dal with brown rice were excellent. We loved it with so many vegan options to spoil us.

Stopped on my way through and was very happy I did. Didn’t know what to choose from so I got a few things and took them away with me. All the food was really good and the lady who served me was lovely. Everything I got was vegan and delicious, will definately come back to try some more things next time I come through 😁

Possibly the best vegetarian food I’ve had across all states. Everything was fresh and tasted gourmet. Genuinely surprised how quiet this place was - food was super quick and fresh.

Literally the second nest soup ive had only second to my mum I am sick and have no taste buds and I gor s symphony of umami salt heat buttery golden ginger lentil soup. I am a vegan in a very small rural town there is about 2 vegan resturaunts kind of and appalling groceries to. So this place is my favourite and is a treat and not just for thr town but the likes of serotonin eatery and its calibre ive had the closest tasting vegan eggs benefict here the slices are to die for and they even have. Agreed selection of groceries including yummy snacks definstely a must go for a health nut vegan or just someone who isnt one sided chefs kiss

Great little cafe, the food was delicious and the staff were so lovely! The lady behind the counter recommended the vegan lasagne and I’m very glad she did! Will be back for sure next time I visit Warrnambool :)

Lovely cafe and service, only disappointed on the size of the bbq mushroom sandwich a bit small for $20.. the salads box on the other side are very filling for $15

A sandwich to ruin a good shirt for. Unfortunately for me, during my experience here at Rough Diamond, I managed to destroy a particular nice shirt while destroying a ham, cheese & pickle toasty. It was the cheese oil and pickle juice that was leaking from wrapper. I was so indulged in the toasty and didn't realise until it was too late. 😥 A particular popular and busy little sandwich shop, it may be an expensive sandwich but worth a go. No comments on the coffee. There was nothing bad about it, but nothing stood out from the rest.

Place is a tad hidden, but what a find! Coffee was great, perfect arabica notes) I didn't experience any negative thing about coffee or service like some people have mentioned. All in all during my stay in Warrnambool, this was the best coffee. Is rent high in Warrnambool?? Most of the cafés are rather on the pricier side which is all I can fault. This coffee was worth every dollar.

Great coffee but oh man, their breakfast sandwiches? So damned good. Broke my holiday rule of not going to the same place twice in a row because of how good the Bacon and Egg Roll was. Highly recommended.

Thank you to the team at Rough Diamond for a great breakky and amazing coffee two days in a row! We stopped in during our road trip and can say that the ham & pickle toastie is probably the best we've had anywhere - we ended up returning the next morning again before moving onto the next town. The gentleman in the kitchen was really nice and had a quick chat with us in passing on our way out. Not something you usually experience in cafes. Thank you for a memorable cafe experience! :)

They use quality suppliers like @smallbatchroast, @schulzorganicdairy and @morkchocolate, with speciality roasters from time to time. It still gives off vibes from its previous 1970’s office life. The menu is uncomplicate and limited, yet satisfying, with a range of sandwiches and toasts which they use the most perfect bread for. Keep an eye on their socials for specials they may be having. 👀 The Grilled Cheese was delicious, extra tasty and gooey with the addition of garlic bechemel. The Ham Cheese and Pickles had a good hit of mustard and another safe option. 🥪 A great option in town and if I was local I’d pop past often. Home style food but elevated. Nestled in a busy shopping zone this place has a near constant line up; normally a good sign for quality. Staff busily pump out the coffees with a friendly and warm service. The beans seem to produce an acidic note that messes with the milk froth quality. Strength and scent were on point but our two coffees were quite different in flavour. Almond croissant needs more almond meal. Loved the customer loyalty blackboard.

I have never had a bad coffee from this place, it is always so busy which just shows the popularity but I am happy to wait for coffee so smooth, love the muffins too.

The best white chocolate and blueberry crumble muffins yesterday!! Love the actual chunks of chocolate in them. The cookies were divine too. Will be back soon for more.

Unbelievable coffee, nice flavour, perfect temperature, crema and presentation. Quality ingredients and equipment! Roasted in house so you can’t get fresher from bean to cup. One of the best in Warrnambool!

Toto Town Café – Great Coffee, Food Needs Work Coffee: ★★★★★ Egg Benedict: ★★★☆☆ Chili Bagel: ★★★☆☆ Dropped by Toto Town Café and had a mixed experience. The coffee was absolutely fantastic, amazing taste and served at the perfect temperature. Easily a 5 star cup that would bring me back any day. The Egg Benedict was quite ordinary. It lacked flavour and felt like minimal effort went into it. Honestly, a home-cooked version might’ve tasted better. The Chili Bagel had potential, but the presentation was disappointing. The greens on top looked old and didn’t do the dish any favours. Taste-wise, it was okay, but not memorable. Great spot for coffee, but the kitchen could definitely step up its game. Thanks

Toto Café in Warrnambool really surprised me in the best way. I wasn’t expecting much when I walked in, but the moment I sat down, I could tell this place had something special. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, not pretentious or rushed. Just good energy, friendly people, and a space that makes you want to take your time. I ordered the avocado toast and… wow. It was simple but done perfectly. You can tell they care about quality, the bread was fresh and crunchy, the avo was creamy with just the right seasoning, and there were little touches that made it feel thoughtful, not just thrown on a plate. And the coffee? I’m Italian and that means I’m annoyingly picky when it comes to coffee. But theirs was genuinely great. Smooth, full-bodied, and balanced. No bitterness, no burnt taste, just a really good cup. I actually finished it slowly because I didn’t want it to end. It’s the kind of place where you feel taken care of, even if you’re just passing through. I left feeling full, relaxed, and a bit more grounded than when I walked in. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area , or even going a little out of your way to make sure you don’t miss it.

The food was really so good specially the hot coffee it was so nice. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and lastly the place is really beautiful and giving aesthetic vibes.

Walked in today for our daily Coffee. Head barista was loving his job. Very cool Place. Great coffee. Food excellent. Happy staff. Music was great today also.

Disappointing, bitter coffee, tasted like almost burnt. As a first time visitor in town, I was shocked at how bad it was. Added some sugar but it only made it worse. Instant coffee taste better than this. Brekky roll bread was dry, whatever relish inside was completely insufficient and only in the middle, chips crispy but unsalted with a random squirt of sauce on top. The pork belly was the only saving grace here. Service was quick, as there were only 2 of us. Atmosphere was quite loud and chatty but it is expected of a busy brunch place. It gets quite crowded with people ordering takeaway or lining up to pay. We have people waiting right by our table for orders. There are definitely better brunch cafes around town eg. Bohemia cafe. For the price we pay and food quality, don’t think it’s worth coming back.

The entire staff at Jude are superstars. Best coffee in Warrnambool hands down. If you’re looking for a Melbourne style brew, Jude is the place to be. The coffee is full bodied, flavourful and strong. Always coming out with excellent late art. Along with the coffee, the food is excellent. Fresh and perfectly cooked. Special shoutout to Leah, Sam and Justin for making my experience a 10/10 every time. They always manage to put a smile on my face and go above and beyond, always. They are truely a master of their craft, Enthusiastic and hard working, exceeding perfection every time. Absolutely worth a visit ( or multiple) if you’re in our beautiful town. My day hasn’t begun until I’ve had my Jude coffee !

Jude is my favourite cafe in Warrnambool. The friendly and welcoming environment they provide as soon as you walk in the door is unmatched. They offer great food options, especially for those with dietary requirements! My favourite one being their gluten friendly muffins (they do a different flavour muffin every day, how cool?!) and of course their coffee/hot choc/chai/juices etc. are always good too! Highly recommend! 😍

Food was average, not bad. Asked for a large iced coffee, was beyond small. My friend asked for an iced chocolate and got an iced coffee. Also asked for no egg in Brekky wrap, as she’s deathly allergic to eggs and got an egg in that wrap.

Light, clean and great service…. Granola… great presentation but a real tester .. and not recommended if you have dentures… a few outdoor tables… one of the better lunch brunch breakfast eateries in town

Just wanted to express how amazing my coffee was, I have family in Warrnambool and visit a few times a year and have tried every coffee place but you guys by far were the best coffee I ever had. I tried this place for the first time today, coffee was brilliant, staff were welcoming. I personally love that the staff was straight up about a public holiday surcharge rather than taking your order and then adding the surcharge on.

Seriously wonderful. Fantastic friendly service and delicious food. We tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was crunchy and not too sweet, the sticky chai (yum), hot chocolate, sourdough crumpets and tuna toastie. Highly recommend it all! I didn’t quite believe the high rating before I actually visited. It really is the perfect little cafe. Thanks for a lovely breakfast!

Coffee here is ROCKING, if you are stopping by Warnaanbool and you like coffee you must definitely grab a coffee here. We were staying for 4 days and 3 times we came back here. Pastries are really good, I dare to say they have the best carrot cake in town. Absolutely delicious! Also tried the brownie, it was served warm with a spoon of fresh cream, just yummyumm. Ham n cheese croissant was warm and toasted with a absolutely delicious locally produced ham. Staff is absolutely kind, great service. One of the girls recommended us places to see around, thank you Kimberly! And to allee Espresso! We had a lovely time.

Absolutely fantastic! The coffee was great! We r traveling Aus and it’s one of our favourite so far! (Coming from an experienced barista who loves coffee) Definitely a locals cafe, and a perfect spot to stop. The hot cross bun was also epic! The service was awesome, the staff were super friendly and bubbly. Well done team, thank you for ur great service, friendly smiles and exceptional food/coffee. Also a great space if ur thinking of studying or having a team meeting. Their space is large with lots of seating! Or if ur in a rush they have a service window for take away options! A fantastic set up and space.

Coffee was the best we have had since leaving Alice Springs. Perfect temperature and crema. Free ice cold water, still or sparkling. Beautifully and carefully designed interior. A sitting behind us bought a tea which was a generous serving of beautifully presented loose leaf It's these kinds of thing makes paying for food and drink out so, so worth it.

Allee espresso had delicious coffee and even offered our furbabies a free puppycino. We loved stopping here when passing through Warrnambool and will come back next time we visit. Highly recommend, and they have a great social media presence.

A pleasant ambience, with friendly staff, including a young lady from Ireland, whose name we didn't catch. A tasty cheese scone, and pleasant tasting coffee, not as strong as I would like but perfect for drinking in the afternoon.

Not a huge market but still a good range of food , produce and crafts. It gets busy and parking can get hectic so going early is good.

Best to get there early and enjoy coffee, Dutch pancakes, and variety of other delicious cuisines. Had some fresh mandarin juice - so sweet. Sticky chai which was divine had a hint of citrus which was something I've never had. Great local market

Nice restaurant, dog friendly on a large terrace. Unfortunately, you are also exposed to a pretty strong, gusty wind. The seafood chowder in a bun was phenomenal! Feeding en entire family if you eat the bun as well - justifying the price ;-) The garlic prawns were nice as well. The prawn tacos were OK. Add a cold beer and enjoy the view.

Great views of the coastline, great service and the food was good! Unfortunately sold out of prawns by 3pm! But the calamari, prawn tacos and garlic chilli pizza was great! The garlic chilli pizza isn’t spicy at all, but really tasty.

What more can one ask for than window seats at a beachfront restaurant. What a beautiful view. Food wasn’t too bad either. Just a short lunch stop at Warrnambool on my way to Adelaide. Good place to stretch the tired legs after a 5 hour trip from eastern suburbs of Melbourne. 😌 Food is a bit costly but worth the view!!!

We ordered the fish of the day and the seafood chowder. 1. Seafood chowder - good amount of seafood and the Cobb loaf was good. But the sauce was lacking a lot of flavour and for $40+ we expected better. 2. Fish and chips - The fish was ok but the batter tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The salad looked and tasted like one of the Asian salad mix packets you get from Woolworths. Ultimately, it was too expensive for the experience received, in my opinion. The service was slow from my experience and it didn’t look very busy. Another table had to walk up to the bar to order as they were waiting for a bit too long. Maybe understaffed or they were having a bad day? Great atmosphere though.

Food was delicious. Perfect location. Kinf enough to accomadate us the last minute.We were told about longer waiting time before we ordered. It was worth the wait.

This meal was a letdown from start to finish. The calamari was the tiniest I’ve ever seen in Australia—barely a mouthful, overwhelmed by batter, and completely lacking in squid flavour. It felt more like eating fried crumbs than seafood. The chowder was even worse. Over $40 AUD for a bread bowl that couldn’t even hold a full serving? It was more of a tasting portion than a proper meal. For that price, I expected generous portions and standout taste. Sadly, it missed the mark on both. Overall, the experience felt like style over substance. Small portions, underwhelming flavour, and poor value.

Had a lovely meal experience at Simons Waterfront restaurant in the Warrnambool RSL. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was fabulous, in particular the prawn birdnests. And the view is uninterrupted and pretty spectacular. Loved it

Quickly stopped over during the long weekend. The girls were wonderful and managed to fit us in. The food was good too. Decent portion. Bread was a bit tough and struggled to cut into but the taste made up for it. It was a but warm in the restaurant, probably the AC didn’t work but overall Would recommend. I would recommend the Ice chocolate over the ice coffee.

Delicious food and great service. Venue is nice and very busy,however because of this it was very noisy, we could barely hear each other talking at the table. Given the indoor, outdoor flow there was quite alot of flies buzzing around.

Had an excellent lunch of lamb souvalaki, sweet potato fries, eggs on toast with avocado and relish. Followed by apricot slice and carrot cake. It was all really tasty and filling. Came out quickly, considering it was busy. Staff were quick, efficient and friendly.

Dined here for breakfast this morning on our way home from Portland. Ordered crumbed eggs side of chorizo, corn fritters side of bacon and purchased 2 Massman curry pies for dinner. My crumbed eggs were delicious, great flavours cooked perfectly, chorizo was sensational, wife’s corn fritters were a little heavy in batter, she found them tasty but heavy. Both plates were extremely well presented. Had pies for dinner, very tasty. Highly recommend trying this venue.

The food was delicious and service was really friendly. Food and coffee came out super fast. The only thing we didn’t like was having to order at the counter or the QR code. You can’t use the QR code to modify the orders. Other wise it was fantastic

Visiting overnight from Melbourne, we chose our breakfast spot based on all the positive reviews and we were not disappointed. Had the corn fritters and panko eggs (with an added hash-brown), both were well balanced with great flavours and textures. Coffees were perfectly decent. Service was attentive and welcoming.

Breaky combo was great value, $16 for an egg and bacon roll, crispy hashbrown and small coffee. I also tried the caramel slice, and while it’s not like a traditional caramel slice it was one of the top caramel slices I’ve ever had. Very biscuity and yummy!

Such a pretty store located next to Jean Jail. Bright atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food/coffee. I got the chicken burger and it was insanely good. Got mine takeaway. Definitely recommend.

This lovely cafe has become one of our favourite Warrnambool stops. It’s in a great location if you’re heading out to the Home-maker centre and is located near Harris Scarfe. The staff are always happy and friendly. Their Almond Croissants are amazing and definitely a beautiful treat with your coffee and are huge! My favourite is their fish tacos, but they didn’t have them yesterday so I had the eggs Benedict which was just fabulous! I can’t wait to try their new winter menu 🙌🏻.

It’s fair to say we haven’t had a coffee here but if you’re to dine in for breakfast do not expect a boasting açaí bowl (you will get three little ice-cream scoops for the bowl of $18). Neither expect the bowl looking like the photograph from their menu. If you are aiming to get scones, make sure you get an extra ramekin of whipped cream ($2) as otherwise the not-so-generous portion included will only be enough just for one part of the scone. The four stars was for a decent tasting generous size portion of chili scramble eggs with what seemed to be a re-heated dry chicken breast substitute for the grilled bacon. 3 stars for service is because our table wasn’t cleaned when we arrived and actually set on it. Overall this cafe can look professional and inviting but still lacks the basic service level and can be a bit more generous with the portions.

What a find! Feels like a hipster Melbourne institution but by the coast (and without any of the pretention!). Cool tunes and staff, great laid back community vibe, amazing space with shady trees to lie under and kids running around having a ball. The coffee was by far the best we had anywhere in Warrnambool or Port Fairy (and we tried lots of cafes :) The toasties we're absolutely delicious- I had tuna melt, my partner had egg and bacon. Not sure what the magic is, maybe quality ingredients or the fresh parmesan grate? But they really were moreish. Will defo be back.

What a wonderful place to arrange to catch up with friends from afar, passing through town. Good food, excellent service, great location-easy to give directions, gardens to wander around, and the Mill Market for added interest. Gourmet toasties and good coffee were ideal for breakfast, with a windbreak of plants behind us. Sitting in the warmth of the sun chatting with friends made a perfect morning, lunchtime beckoned and so did the shade of a tree, along with the donuts and another round of toasty with the opportunity to try another flavour. Then the Mill Market entranced the guests with the massive quantity of wares. A fabulous day, highly recommended venue and food.

Great little spot for breakfast. Toasties are delicious and on the higher side but tasty. Coffee great as well. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and then visit the gardens and Fletcher Jones market for a quick squiz.

We went to this Cafe due to the fact that they had provided well written responses to a couple of poor reviews previous customers had left. We always read reviews of places we want to visit and value owners/managers' responses when they take the time to address concerns. We were very impressed with the cafe including it's presentation, cleanliness, friendly staff, great coffee and delicious food. In addition, their attention to detail in keeping their patrons safe during Covid conditions is excellent. If others read the couple of bad reviews , we suggest you ignore them and take into consideration the responses provided by the cafe. It is well worth a visit and great places deserve the support of their community to get them through the trials of 2020. We are holidaying in Warrnambool but will recommend Brightside to fellow travellers.

Always a pleasure to find pour over coffee unexpectedly! Good coffee and choice of food that looked tasty! I just had a banana bread, slightly toasted, it was delicious with my V60! Cody and quiet inside.

Very poor food. Everyone had to put salt and pepper to get any flavour on each dish. Big breakfast included a tomato cut in half and a couple mushrooms thrown onto heat with no seasoning. All the burgers were burned. Embarrassing that a chef would let this come out of a kitchen.

This place is unusually hip for Warrnambool but a great find - good food and friendly staff. It's a nice and light place too.

Attempted to go and eat a hot pie with my grand parents and staff were very rude and abruptly told us to sit at a table to dine in. We knew we were in for a nightmare hell hole of an experience so we left. As someone who’s worked in customer service for 7 years I am genuinely shocked at how the staff are not capable of selling pies to an elderly couple.

Mack's Snacks and Mack's Coffee. The place is exactly the same as it was the first time I walked in there back in 1953, even some of the faces I recognise. Place is great nostalgic, authentic and a testament of time. Offering hot & cold meals, sweets, and beverages. Everything you need in one spot.

Great spot to stop for a bite to eat. Particularly enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was very good. They're also doing a great job of implementing COVID-19 restrictions.

Popped in to have lunch. Told to take a seat and we will be right with you. 80% of the tables had left over food, drinks etc still to be cleaned. One staff member went on her break at one of the clean tables. No one came to take our order. Just need to be smart with staff training. We walked out.

Had the fastest, friendliest, finest service today at the Lava Cafe in Warrnambool, Vic today. The Poke bowl was delicious and there was heaps of tables and even a small shop to browse through. Highly recommended!

Great range including gluten free options. A couple of times my meals were cold in the middle but were replaced with hot meals. This has to be my favourite cafe.

Service was fine. Coffee was second-rate. One poached egg was okay the other was completely over cooked. I absolutely hate having fresh pepper put on my food for me, if I want it it's on the table and I am quite capable of using it myself. The salt shaker was completely blocked. The chair was really uncomfortable. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I had a latte and a slice of cake, both were spot on. The coffee was strong but smooth (again, I’m Italian, so I don’t say that lightly), and the cake had that homemade taste that’s hard to find these days. Nothing overdone or overly sweet,just good ingredients and care. It’s the kind of café where you could sit with a book, catch up on work, or just watch the world outside the window for a while. No pressure, no noise. Just good vibes, great coffee, and attention to the little things.

Probably the best Cafe in Warrnambool. I have not once had a bad coffee from Cafe Lava. The menus never disappoint. The chefs clearly create their food with passion. Serving sizes are perfect and the front of house staff create a fun and comfortable environment for customer's. If you're looking to grab meal or even just a takeaway coffee. Cafe Lava is the place to go.

Great place place to go. Nice modern retro setting. Food was great. They served varieties of wonderful flavoured tea. Friendly staff. There is one largest long beautiful timber table which able to accommodate for big group of 25 adults, sadly didn't get much photos.

I had the most delicious breakfast at Cafe Lava this week: Bombay Toast and an almond latte. The coffee was brought out in less than 5 minutes and the meal in less than 10, even though they were fairly busy. The staff are friendly and highly accomodating and I will definitely be back!

I had the pleasure buying take away at this restaurant recently, and I must say, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Despite arriving just as they were about to close, I was still welcomed and served without any hesitation, which speaks volumes about their dedication to customer service. A special mention to the staff member who served me — she was incredibly pleasant, warm, and accommodating. Her genuine hospitality added an extra layer of goodness to the already delicious meal I was served. It’s rare to find such attentive and kind service, especially when it's close to closing time. The food itself was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Combined with the exceptional service, it turned what could have been a rushed visit into a memorable dining experience. Their hospitality truly feels like it’s on another level, and it’s clear they value their customers and take pride in what they do. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for not just great food, but also a welcoming and warm atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Popped in for takeaway late lunch before getting late arvo return train to Melb last Thurs 23 Nov & had the mini quiche that tasted so good! Cappuccino was good too. Pity about the dried & wilting flowers. I would definitely try their evening dinner menu if I am in Bool again.

I have been coming and getting my coffee from Provincial Cafe for about 6 years now. The staff are absolutely beautiful, genuine lovely people and already know my order before I've paid, the only difference is large or small. It's a very homely comforting atmosphere on there and the staff are always on for a chat, they go above and beyond for their customers, always have kind words to say, are caring and polite to no matter who walks up to the counter. I'd give them a bigger rating if I could. Thanks to Brooke and the girls for always managing to put a smile on my dial whenever I walk in. 4 times a week 😆 Provincial Cafe is my second home and I highly recommend everyone goes and grabs a coffee and soaks in the cheery, light hearted most of all welcoming atmosphere. Thanks so much to all the wonderful staff who greet me nearly every weekday and making me feel likevpart of the family. Best brew in Warrnambool hands down and you will not find better staff in any other Cafe. Love you guys xo

Great food, service and atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch and a coffee during our great ocean road trip. I had the Marci’s chicken sandwich which was very tasty.

Had lunch here and got takeaway coffees here a couple days ago, my expectations were defied with disappointment! I have been here a few times before, but for all previous times, I enjoyed my coffee. However, this time the coffee tasted terrible. There was a burnt taste in it. My latte was half froth and my husband's cappuccino was flat, there is no consistency. The counter was also dirty the whole time I was in there, you'd think they'd clean up after themselves considering it wasn't that busy. No one had any consistency or cleanliness. I would never come here again.

This cafe is such a vibe! Set down the back of the homeware store provincial off warrnambools Main Street this is easily warrnambools biggest hidden gem. Have dined here multiple times now, food is always of high standard and comes out fast, even when the cafe is busy. Highly recommend the steak sandwich, it is simply Devine.

Want to splurge on breakfast/brunch then this is a must-hit spot in Warnambool. A little pricey but the food was delicious, portions were good, cooked with precision and the touch of dukkah on some of the dishes added a delicious dimension. If you are on a timeline best to plan ahead, reserve a table and schedule the stop or be patient.

Nice quaint decor and atmosphere, friendly staff as soon as you step through the door. Latte was super nice with their own house blend, scrambled eggs and omelette were very tasty and beautifully cooked, hash browns were crispy outside and fluffy inside as they should be 😊 Only thing to fault was the sour dough that came with both dishes was very hard to cut through with the supplied cutlery and required more force then it should of.

The breaky burger was delición, the banana bread was the perfect sweet bite, and the coffee? Spot on 😋 Lovely hospitality and cozy vibes made it all even better. Definitely coming back for more!

I paid $4 for 1 piece of mushroom that was cut into 3 pieces and had a big breakfast not worth $31.50 only 2 cut pieces of mushroom spinach is very little too Everything was perfect but after waiting for more than 35 min for the food all my hopes were down. Service was okay too, no one came to our table to ask anything but i saw them going to other tables for asking water ,gaking food order. I came here with a lot of hope but i felt a bit down. But thank you for the food

I have been enjoying the food here a bit lately and the front of house have always been kind with great service. However, I can’t overlook the way the manager, or owner, speaks to her staff. On 2 occasions now I’ve overheard her making degrading and discouraging comments towards staff members. It’s uncomfortable to listen to, and having had similar experiences myself working in a toxic workplace, I really feel for the them.No matter how good the food is, I won’t support a business that treats its staff this way. Your staff are your business.

Great little early morning coffee shop, the food is really nice & hot which is important for a visiting Queenslander in cold Victoria. The coffee is nice and clean, not burned at all which is becoming harder and harder to find now days. Both ladies I've been served by were lovely to deal with, especially with the early morning start at 0530. If you're in Warrnambool and chasing a decent coffee and brekky, this is worth a visit!

Not good guys, the new staff on (liebig) struggling, and they have been there for a while now, so either poor training or they just don't want to be at work! It's always an inconvenience to the new staff, and orders are never right or you simply have part of your order forgotten and its another 20min wait for one drink they forgot. We loved coffee treat but it has slipped really bad since they decided to try open a hamilton store.. I understand staff change but the current liebig staff are making it none enjoyable. Still giving you guys a 3 star as we will still support you but just really wish the current staff get it together

On my first visit to Warrnambool for more than 20 years we were looking forward to eating breakfast out, and chose the cafe because it was actually open. The decor was alright, and the service was polite, but our food was EXTREMELY SLOW to arrive. The coffee had a good flavour, the food presentation was ok, and it was tasty enough… but sadly the experience was coloured by the slow service.

Lovely cafe. Had the salmon stack and a strong latte. Prices on the mid/high end, but good portion size and very tasty. Soft jazz in the background was a bonus

Bought a pre-made Father’s Day hamper last minute yesterday, the ladies working at the counter were absolutely lovely and gave fantastic customer service. The hamper included a lovely variety of products and my dad was so happy to receive it! Looking at each individual product included it felt as though it had been specially personalized for him. Could not be happier!

One of my favourite shops in Warrnambool They have beautiful food for lunch! I buy a lot of gifts from here & also alot of dinner items (pasta etc) to cook! I do miss dining in every now and then!

I had a fantastic experience today on the phone arranging a fresh hamper for a family member in isolation. The kind, professional and prompt service I received was amazing. And the hamper was delivered an hour later, despite it being a busy Saturday. So thank-you to the two ladies who assisted me. I work in hospitality so I know how hard it can get (especially during the pandemic)! I'm looking forward to visiting when I make it down to the west.

Grateful for the convenience of having quality gourmet items right smack in Warrnambool CBD. Limited and curated selections means you can never go wrong with whatever's available. Tried out their soup, sandwiches and coffee all are well made. Had some dips, cheeses and fermented goods as well, everything just the right kind of surprising.

Great place, amazing staff, and really good food. My family try to support this business at least once a weekend. Never been disappointed.

The gluten free range was limited to one savoury option and two sweet options when I visited. I tried the muesli slice. To my surprise, tasted like a honey joy on steroids. It was sickly sweet, didn't float my boat due to the vast amount of sugar in it, but I'm sure others may appreciate it. To each their own. I also tried a $6.50 "sticky chai", which was delicious. The flavour was fuller and smoother than that of the powdered chai. I highly recommend this 🙂 The staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating and offered me the chai ingredient list. I (and the person I was with) were impressed with the outdoor seating option available as it is enclosed by glass, similar to many Melbourne eateries. We will definitely be giving this another visit and trying the other gluten free options in future.

Service was bad. The staff member stared out the window the whole time she served and talked to me, not looking at me once. She was totally disinterested. Food was undercooked and oversalted. Beware too they charge a surcharge if you tap on but wasn't told.

This cafe has a relaxed atmosphere with great seating for all. Offers all day breakfast and fantastic smooth rich blend of coffee. Which if you have read my reviews is very important to me. There us a good choice of menu covering all types. Gluten free vegan lactose free and typical eater.. Give it a go. Lilly is an adorable girl with excellent customer service skills and a beautiful manner ☆☆☆☆

I think this is the first negative review I've given. I get that it's boxing day but an hour wait for food while it was fairly quiet is not great without being told there's a delay, and most of it was sadly inedible. Bone dry mushrooms, oily half cooked spinach, luckily the fritter was edible. The egg whites weren't cooked through and the 'hollandaise' was a questionable watery substance that tasted off. The coffee was nice which made the experience slightly less than awful.

I Had Carrot Cake With Frosting & A Peppermint Tea. They were nice but not delicious. I've found the slices & cakes here to be rather plain in flavour & many times the muffins & slices to be very dry, way too dry.

Went here yesterday for breakfast. Had a cappuccino and raisin bread. The coffee was very well made and had plenty of froth and tasted quite nice, was a warm temperature that I could drink immediately. They have high chairs for kiddies. The raisin bread was thick and came with a butter sachet to spread. The atmosphere would be better if it were a little more closed off I feel. Not a bad little stop for a coffee and a chat.

The coffee has seriously deteriorated. The milk is too hot, almost burnt, and the coffee tastes like the beans have been recycled, almost tasteless. The new owners are not doing it for me and my "best coffee in town" shop is no longer on my list. A shame really, because the location suits and the other coffee options at Gateway are unacceptable to my palate.

Coffee is hit and miss, sometimes is really good other times it’s pretty average so it’s hard to know what you’re getting, I don’t go often for this reason, I do love the focaccias though, they’re super filling, my favourite is the chicken.

After a long drive from Geelong to Warrnambool, my daughter and I decided to stop for some breakfast, and instead of heading into town, we stopped at the Gateway Plaza. There was not much to chose from at the plaza so we decided to eat at the Better Bake Cafe. The A-frame menu they had at the door advertised pancakes for $9.50 which my daughter was keen on (pic included). I decided on the Bacon and Egg Roll. When we took a seat to wait for our meal we noticed that there was a pile of junk on the chair next to my daughter, including an old cash register. When the pancakes came out they (3) were tiny - we are talking 10cm in width - probably the size of a smallish pikelet! (pic included) - nothing like the photo of 6 stacked pancakes advertised. My Bacon and egg roll came out about 5 minutes after my daughters meal - which as any restaurant/cafe knows is pretty poor. Most people like to eat at the same time! Would not recommend, and I feel sorry for the people who have such a poor choice to stop for a meal.

Had brunch here on Saturday morning. Ordered a Gf chicken, cheese and avo toasted sandwich which was quite tasty and cooked so it was lovely and crispy which I really appreciated as Gf bread is hard to cook crispy. Morning smoko so we just had a spinach and feta roll, sausage roll and a coffee but it was fresh, hot and service was so quick. And I have to say it was the best service I have seen in awhile, the girl that served us was bright and cheerful with a smile and that did not change the whole time we were there and with everyone she served. I was so impressed that I had to tell her that her customer service was outstanding.

Low quality food. Horrible coffee. Rude behaviour.

Purchased a pepper pie from here today. I could not eat it as it was very dry and disgusting. Looked like it had been in the pie warmer for ages. The meat was very dry and the pastry tough. I would go as far as saying, the worst pie I have ever eaten. Lift your game as it was awful.

We had breakfast at Neon on the 21st of September 2023 as we stayed overnight at Warrnambool after visiting the Twelve Apostles. Breakfast was great, and we enjoyed the poached and scramble egg toasts and had spinach and haloumi as sides. Coffee was well prepared and fragranful. Highly recommended as food is good and reasonably priced. Service was prompt and attentive.

Food is average not worth the price. If you are bored eating home then u can comeover for a change of place to spend $25/ person..

Neon Cafe and Bar, one of the best places in town for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. My Eggs Benedict were delicious especially with added hash browns. Definitely a go to for me. Great food, great service.

I want to start off by saying that the service was amazing, the staff were very lovely and energetic and did their best. The food however was not as expected. After waiting for more than an hour, the food arrived with most components being cold (taste was fine though). I ordered an "Eggs your way" with scrambled eggs and added on mushroom. The toast was cold and tough, the scrambled eggs were only barely warm and the mushrooms were also cold. Despite the food being cold, it was still a good size portion and tested good so that's why I've given an overall 4/5.

Ordered the eggs Benny, came out cold on whole meal bread instead of the advertised sourdough. Hollandaise sauce was nice. Coffee was average and service was reasonable.

Hands down the best coffee in Warrnambool! Also Catherine does the best toasties, highly recommended the Italian it's Devine 😍 or if you want something sweet, she always makes sure there is a nice selection of muffins or slices YUMMY!

Located this coffee van on the way to the 12 Apostles. Coffee was excellent and jaffle was delicious. Don’t be put off by location in industrial area. Worth the small detour off the main road.
