Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village and Museum in Warrnambool is a historic port village spread across 10 hectares, offering a captivating glimpse into the maritime history of the area. The museum features costumed interpreters and showcases shipwreck artifacts and vessels, shedding light on the perilous Shipwreck Coast. Visitors can explore stories of sailors and travelers who met their fate in these treacherous waters, including the heroic rescue tale of Tom Pearce during the Loch Ard shipwreck.
Worth the visit. The history was very interesting. We were there for the wool festival and it was enjoyable. The staff and volunteers there are knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed reading about the cultural significance of the village. My husband particularly enjoyed the cannon firing, and I agree it was pretty cool. Your ticket is also good for 7 days - you can visit multiple times in that period. Interesting for adults and kids, but fun too.

Flagstaff Maritime Village in Warrnambool is an absolute hidden gem, especially for those who are into ships and maritime history. The entry ticket lasts for 7 days, which makes it incredibly worth it if you’re staying in the area. Though it’s not a large village, it has a magical way of making you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Your visit starts with a museum showcasing the tragic shipwrecks along the coast, filled with fascinating artefacts and stories that really pull you in. I spent half a day wandering through the site, and every corner felt like a picture-perfect moment with something new to learn. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a scenic, educational stop, this place is a must-visit in Warrnambool.

In Warrnambool, the Flagstaff Hill Marine Village is well recommended as a visit if you are local or touring. Our Entry Tickets for Seniors were $15 each - well worth it. Highly recommend to take one of the regular Tours with a local well-informed Guide. This will take you through the inside museum. The story of the Loch-Ard ship is the most interesting! About 40 minutes inside. You are then free to walk the outside Village. This Village id beautifully set out representing the past. Shops, workshops, Bank, School, Printer, etc., free to enter and walk through each. This is very informative, and well set out, built from goods and materials from the time. Allow about 45 mins outside. Total, need about 2 hours there. Yes, well recommended.
Allen P — Google review
It was very much worthwhile to visit and give you a view into the past. Great exhibition matched only by the very friendly and supportive staff. The old buildings and displays are wonderful. Take your time to travel back in time, when things were not as easy as today. We had a wonderful time, thank you.
Charles S — Google review
This is a place that transports you back to the past. Give yourself the time and attention to understand their lives and their stories of their times. It was a learning and eye-opening experience and journey and marvelled how real and true the preserved artifacts are. I would like to take this opportunity to convey my thanks for the team's hardwork, commitment and dedication in preserving and taking great care of them. I have a better understanding of Australia and it's history. Highly recommend to anyone to have a insight into their history.
Simplyuni — Google review
I absolutely loved my visit to Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village in Warrnambool! This beautifully recreated 19th-century maritime village feels like stepping into a charming European hamlet with historic buildings that transport you back in time.
Travel V — Google review
Very well presented historical village highlighting the early Settlers (whalers, fisherman). It's position increases the visitors ability to imagine life in this era. Very good presentations about the shipwreck prone coastline and early whaling craft. You can spend a good part of the day exploring this village. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Only stayed 1 day but was offered a stamp on the ticket which permitted entry again for 3 days (this was during a school holiday period). Reasonably priced. Cafe on site.

This guy s one of the best playgrounds! So many different activities and things to do! It’s suitable for a huge age range. Great facilities, bbqs, toilets etc. You can easily spend hours here!
Melissa — Google review
We loved this playground both day and night play was fun. The slide is very fast. Love the sundial, maze and flying fox. It is a beautifully designed and great playground for all ages and a number of hills for rolling down. Well maintained covered areas, benches and tables and BBQs for a good picnic. Toilets were clean. Nice walks by the lake. I definitely recommend this area if you are visiting Warrnambool.
Leigh S — Google review
A very beautiful park that was discovered when we were finding a nearby toilet at Warrnambool.
Pat C — Google review
This is really a fun place for everyone in Warnambool. There are loads of exciting fun activities/apparatus to keep the children busy, while the adults can indulge in a barbecue or picnic. There are bbq areas, seating areas, washroom facilities and plenty of free parking available here. The lake enhances the beauty of this park, which is also inhabited by different species of ducks and birds. It's certainly worth spending some time here.
Malay A — Google review
I would give this 5 stars but they've taken away the best thing here - the ADULT FLYING FOX!!! It is blocked off, I'm really hoping that it is just being fixed and not gone forever. The playground is actually an amazing play space for younger kids. Had many fabulous memories here but the kids are older now.

The Warrnambool Art Gallery is a long-standing establishment housing over 5,000 diverse artworks, including European Salon and Colonial Paintings from the 1800s, Indigenous artefacts, and modernist pieces. It was founded in 1886 by Joseph Archibald and has since evolved into a cultural hub with an array of contemporary works. Situated in the largest city of Victoria's Western District, the gallery is just one of many attractions drawing tourists to Warrnambool.
Free entry and a beautiful art gallery show casing local talent. Do visit them when you are in Warranbool city. It's close to the surf Life Paradise club beach aswell. Can spend between 30 to 45 minutes here and there is parking on the side of the road.
Srisaiyeegharan K — Google review
I went there about 3 weeks back. It was small in comparison to other galleries I have visited in other areas but had some good collection highlighting the aboriginal culture. They had two free exhibition and a paid one. There was also a gift shop there and location is amazing. Overall it was a nice experience to learn more about aboriginal culture.
Simran G — Google review
The gallery was quite small but well-maintained. I liked the simplicity of the displays and exhibits. There was a huge room for children to enjoy some creative art activities, such as making a flag out of paper and designing a shoe.
Nanling L — Google review
It's a small art gallery, and it takes about 15-20 minutes to see both free sections. There's another section that costs $18 to enter. Very few visitors were there but maybe it's the time of the day or maybe there's not much to see? The kids' activity room seem rather large.
Zeph — Google review
Small art gallery, with section for kids to color, staff was lovely
Ehsan H — Google review
Nice art gallery filled with aboriginal paintings and art. This place also offers a great space for kids to get creative and colorful.

Beautiful little Gallery in the centre of the city. I had been looking forward to seeing the Tower Hill painting by Eugene Von Guerard 1855 It was featured on that show, Great Southern Landscapes by Rachel Griffiths. Seeing the painting IRL did not disappoint. Had a great informative chat to the helpful staff too.

Gardens
Warrnambool Botanical Gardens, designed by William Guilfoyle, offer a serene and timeless setting for various activities such as weddings, picnics, and guided tours. Spanning 20 acres of lush parkland with native and exotic trees, ferns, and flowers, the gardens also house historic structures like the original sandstone shed used by the first curator.
Great small gardens in the middle of town. Easy parking and several entrances around the fence. Neat and well kept. Nice wide paths meandering around.
Matt B — Google review
The garden was one of the attractions in Warnambool on the drive up to Halls Gap recently in late March. The park is not big but good for a short walk and have lunch outdoors on a beautiful day.
Google L — Google review
During our stay in Warrnambool we decided to take a stroll through the Warrnambool Botanical Gardens, and it was a very pleasant way to spend some time outdoors. While these gardens aren’t as large as the ones you might find in capital cities, they are beautifully designed and well maintained, with plenty to enjoy at a leisurely pace. The gardens feature a number of themed areas with a wide variety of plants, from tall palms and shady gums to flowering garden beds. A picturesque lake sits at the centre, supporting local birdlife including ducks, waterbirds, and even a heron that we spotted during our visit. The lawns are spacious and open, making it easy to relax or enjoy a picnic, and there are benches scattered around for those who just want to sit and take in the scenery. There is a fernery on site, though it was closed for repairs when we visited. Other highlights included a historic band rotunda, heritage-style buildings, and wide pathways perfect for a gentle walk. It took us around 30 minutes to wander through at a relaxed pace, with plenty of opportunities for photography along the way. Set just across the Princes Highway in a quieter part of town and bordered by schools, the gardens feel calm and peaceful. A hidden find well worth visiting if you’re in Warrnambool.
John W — Google review
These botanical gardens are an amazing place to take children to, have a picnic, even hold a birthday party or wedding (yes, I know someone that was married here). Lot's of cool plants with several information signs and maps placed throughout the park. Probably the coolest part is the old well up the top, 18 metres deep. One thing that could be improved are the toilets, they're smelly at best and aren't the nicest experience.
Ladderus — Google review
Beautiful Botanical Gardens with a nice pond with a small mason bridge, rotunda, and a fern house. Sadly, the fern house is closed but can have a look through the doors.
Praloyjit D — Google review
The Botanic Gardens is well-kept and clean. There are a lot of bats! The Gardens is relatively small and has a limited collection of plants. Apart from the bats, the Gardens is a peaceful green, open space away from crowds at the beaches.
Zeph — Google review
I can’t believe this place is real. So beautiful, so peaceful and very well maintained. I’ve never actually used the word ‘tranquil’ before but it’s the only word that describes this place. Nice picnic areas and benches and very clean restrooms. There are fish, ducks and we even saw a little turtle in the pond, and the trees have plaques explaining their origin and purpose.
Jas M — Google review
This is a small garden, very well laid out and maintained, with large, significant trees and sweeping lawns. The path winds past a fountain, historic well, sundial, fernery, rotunda and lake with a bridge. For us, the large, noisey bat colony was particularly fascinating. There is a nature based play space for kids. Public toilets are also available in the fenced garden area. Well worth a visit.

So beautiful here! The sea breeze is just perfect, with the sun shining, sitting at one of the park benches having lunch. Plenty of people use this area for exercise or just admiring the ocean. Plenty of seating around so everyone has somewhere to sit. Definitely recommend a visit there, but pick your days so you visit when the weather is good, or else it can be very windy there.
Katrina C — Google review
Another gem in Warrnambool, if you are planning to walk with stroller there are some steps in the beginning. May be if you can fold and carry stroller then it seems to be flat track afterwards. (Its very long track and may not be concrete or wooden all the way) i only went to 1km, 20mins.

Thunder Point in Warrnambool is a stunning coastal nature reserve with a rugged coastline, offering breathtaking views and an ideal spot to watch the sunset. Visitors can enjoy boardwalks, trails, and a viewing platform facing the ocean. The walk from Merri Bridge to Shelley Beach provides an easy yet captivating experience with ups and downs along the way. The turquoise waters crashing against the rugged coastline create a picturesque scene that surprises and captivates visitors.
What a beautiful spot full of green & blue ocean & jagged cream-brown cliffs to perfectly contrast it; plus you have an endless horizon to add! What a heavenly spot! I’m glad that my boyfriend & i were able to visit here & enjoy the sunshine & views together! 😊🌈✨

Saw some whales coming in on our first visit. Very beautiful coast line.
Jordyn A — Google review
You'll want to be here at higher tide for the best splashes. Nice views up and down the coast. Wheelchair accessible boarwalk to the lookout, Decent sized car park, but could imagine it getting busy during peak season.
Mark B — Google review
Fabulous! Made my day as saw a whale from here. Also a beautiful sunset in the evening.
Rosemary R — Google review
Great place to watch the sunset. Not so great when it's extremely windy though.
Pamella M — Google review
A beautiful location. Excellent board walks so scenic. Highly recommended.
David L — Google review
This spot is a must for sunset and thunderstorm photos. It is also picturesque all the time but when waves are crashing against the rocks and splashing up in a storm it is just beautiful. There is a sturdy lookout platform to take good photos of the rough rocks and waves. You can also sit in your car and watch the waves from the carpark.
Leigh S — Google review
Thunder Point totally surprised me. I wasn't expecting much, just another scenic stop along the coast. But man, this place packs a punch. The walk itself was easy, a nice leg-stretcher with some ups and downs to keep it interesting. But the views! As soon as you round the corner and the ocean unfolds before you, it takes your breath away. The water was this incredible turquoise, crashing against the rugged coastline. There were even a couple of surfers bobbing around, waiting for the perfect wave. I spent ages just standing at Pickering Point Lookout, soaking it all in. The wind whipped through my hair, and I could smell the salty spray. It felt incredibly calming, a world away from the city noise I was used to. The walk itself wasn't crowded, and there were plenty of spots to just pull over and enjoy the scenery. I even saw a few families with young kids exploring the rock pools at low tide. The only downside was the last bit of the walk. The terrain got a little uneven, with some loose rocks underfoot. Not a major issue, but definitely something to keep in mind if you're not the most sure-footed. Overall, though, Thunder Point was a hidden gem. If you're ever in Warrnambool, definitely take the time to check it out. You won't regret the walk (or the amazing views)!

So welcoming and helpful upon arrival. We were kindly upgraded. Lovely park lots of great facilities heated pool a winner, through winter months. Lovely walk down to the river, extremely pretty and serene. Cabin has everything you need for a pleasant stay, hygiene products, coffee/tea sachets, towels provided.Comfortable bed. Definitely recommend, reasonable rates. We will be back. Thank you so much for our lovely stay.😊

The room would have been good had it been clean. The oven and bbq were full of grease and fat and not been cleaned. The master bedroom was not vacuumed. The indoor pool was very dated and dirty. With dark scum lines around the edge of the water line. The spa was boarded up. I paid $600 for the 2 nights. The park is quite a bit out of town. Surrounded by farm paddocks. Kids had a good time though. Definitely won't be coming back.

love the cinema but the amount of movies you guys advertise on your website but then pull it off and not actually show it when it comes out drives me insane, heres a list of movies over the last 2 years that you guys have done that to, because even though we're only 3 months into 2025 you guys have already done that to 2 movies (companion & the monkey) and i remember in 2022 you guys did it so much (asteroid city, joyride, evil dead rise, renfield) its just kinda disappointing especially for me who tries to see as many movies in cinema as i can

Absolutely brilliant theatre experience! Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnambool is a real gem. The seating is super comfy, and you’ve got a cracking view of the stage from just about anywhere. The sound and lighting were spot on during the show, couldn’t fault it. The staff were lovely and laid-back, making you feel right at home from the get-go. The theatre’s got a charming vibe, and the building itself has a bit of character. If you’re ever in Warrnambool and keen for a top-notch night out, I’d definitely give this place a go.

Scenic spot
Logans Beach Whale Watching Platform, located in Warrnambool, Australia, is a wooden deck by the beach that offers stunning views of Southern right whale activity from May to October. This platform provides an unparalleled view of the coastline and the migrating whales. It's also a great spot to see other marine life such as dolphins, seals, and penguins. The purpose-built platform at Logans Beach allows visitors to witness Southern Right whales calving in Warrnambool Bay between June and September.
Incredible Experience! Amazing spot to see Southern Right Whales up close during winter. The viewing platform is well-designed with great ocean views. We were lucky to spot a mother and calf—unforgettable! Don’t miss it if you're in the area.
Iral N — Google review
This is a viewing platform that is quite known in the area. In whale season apparently you can spot whales right from this viewing platform. We were not in the right season but we took a shot anyway, without any luck though. Nevertheless it was peaceful and beautiful!
Fan — Google review
Annually between June and September, Southern Right whales return to the waters of this beach to calve. The whales often swim within a hundred metres of the shore. They can be viewed from a specially constructed platform in the sand dunes or from the beach. The waters are much lower than the platform, thus offering excellent whale spotting opportunity. We didn't see any whales during our visit here. Popular with tourists. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Parking is easy on the access road. Beautiful place. Lots to see. Great place for photography. Free entry. Uneven terrain, lot of walking
S V — Google review
Waited to spot whales but we were not so fortunate. But view was stunning. 180 deg of sea and horizon. Waves and waves crashing into white "sea". Just awesome. Sounds of the waves, gives you a sense of the power of water. Overcast sky but still beautiful. Must not miss this stop. Has public toilets, very clean, very hygienic. Kudos to the people maintaining them.
CH — Google review
Incredible view, didn't see any whales but the pipers are in breeding season and there were some sparrows flitting about below me on the beach. Incredible view and worth a visit anyway, especially for a quiet moment with the winter waves. Look out for a sign on the deck that directs you to the whale watching facebook page.
Alexcia M — Google review
Great views, you are more than likely to see a whale during the seasons they are there. Wonderful atmosphere when busy and food carts also are available. Would suggest having toilets close by, so you can spend the day down there to wait and watch for the Whales. Lovely spot and a must go to location in Warnambool.
Tanita H — Google review
Plenty of carpark. Less than 100 metres walk to the viewing platform. It’s entirely up to your luck to spot whales as I didn’t see anything except for packs of tourists. Sunset is spectacular though.
Dennis L — Google review
Great spot to visit day or night. Beautiful ocean views from a very large viewing deck. Clever construction blocks out most of the wind and there are 2 viewing levels. If you plan to go down to the beach there is a shower to clean up and easy wheelchair access to viewing platforms The best spot the hear waves breaking as it echoes Amazing spot to be on a dark night to watch the Aurora

Discovery Parks - Warrnambool is a popular choice for families visiting the area, offering a variety of accommodation options from powered sites to motel rooms. The park features amenities such as an activity room, playground, and swimming pool. While some guests found the cooking facilities to open later than desired and the pool not heated, others were pleasantly surprised by the fully equipped cabins with comfortable living spaces.
We’ve only just arrived here and so far, so good. We couldn’t find the remote for the air con and called the office and within minutes, someone was here to help us locate it. The cabin is very clean and tidy, very modern and up to date. So far, there aren’t any complaints. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!!!!

Room is better priced and well equipped compared to other accomodations on Agoda for 4 persons (2 single beds and 1 double bed) and well equipped room. They also have swimming pools, playground, movie room and BBQ area. There is a shuttle bus to city centre or you can book Uber. It is also convenient if you do the Deep Blue hot springs since it is within walking distance.

Jason and Kylie are the most accommodating hosts. They run the Park very very well with excellent communication making sure checkin is seamless. Perfect location close to everything we needed. Even a late night rainy checkin was no hassle for them at all. 6 stars!!

“I was working in the area and stayed at Discovery Parks Warrnambool. The whole booking and check-in process was easy and straightforward. I only stayed briefly — arrived for a couple of hours and left early the next morning — but everything was set up perfectly. The cabin was preheated for me, neat and tidy, very clean, and had plenty of blinds to block out light so I got a great night’s sleep. It was quiet and comfortable, making it an ideal place to stay when working out of town.”
Lachlan T — Google review
Took our van and very happy with site. Heated pool was very popular as enclosed so windy wet day didn't stop the kids having fun. Clean ablution block and sites had even fake grass base so stopped the mud being bought in.
Jennie B — Google review
Our second stopover for the tour of Victoria where the next venture was driving the Great Ocean road. This accommodation was won in the Travel auctions bid. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downside was access. Such narrow laneways to get to any site would be difficult for caravan owners. There were a number of times we had to reverse back and find another way to exit the park due to others arriving and departing.

Love the site. Rooms are pretty old but space is great. Kids could rent bikes or other activities to do. They are just minutes away from everything.

Traveller photos (126) Add photos Bedroom after I'd cleaned it. The walls are all marked and dirty. Photos don't do the grim justice. All the tiles have ingrained mould and dirt. Kitchen skirting around stove top after I had scrubbed it clean. Typical example of the condition of the fixtures in this cabin. Spa - photos do not do the grime, mould and yellowed old fixtures justice. All fixtures are either rusted or such yellowing brittle plastic they snap or seemingly cannot be cleaned. Bedroom wall example. So dusty in the ridges. Photographs much better than it is in real life. Thick dust and mould on the top and edges of each ceiling fan blade Lounge/ kitchen and the bedroom have dirty dusty and ill matching curtains. Filthy toilet on arrival This photo is a typical example of all of the skirting, walls, corners in the lounge/ kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Not appealing to bath in! See all photos Jodie wrote a review 8 contributions Melbourne, Australia 1 week ago Filthy! Not fit to be let out. We paid extra for the one bedroom Spa Cabin and it was not as pictured on their website. The cabin has potential but needs a deep deep clean and probably a paint and replacement of fixtures. Taps, hinges and fixtures are rusted, old and brittle. We couldn't use the ceiling fans because they were too filthy to risk turning on. The shower is in the spa so the bottom of the spa has stains and an ugly vibe of other people's feet. The long term dirt and filth in the bathroom makes it a place you'd rather not step into at all, let alone relax in a spa! Previous guests hair shavings were over sink, their marks in toilet bowl and hair on toilet seat on our arrival. All the skirting boards are stained covered in long term dirt. We had 2 white tail spiders in the lounge come out from the curtains. The curtains are dusty and hung in an ugly way, with old floor length lace backing curtains and half length thick curtains on the top. I used my pegs to hold the curtains together to keep light out because they were falling apart in the centre. The positives were - a friendly reception staff member, new'ish and clean fridge, clean and working oven ( inside the oven but edges of knobs and benches filthy) and the mattress was comfortable. Overall this cabin is a very unpleasant space to be in because of how badly it is maintained and how very filthy the basic environment is. I cleaned everything thoroughly on arrival but much of the filth is so deep seated my efforts made little impact. It's definitely not as advertised. Avoid staying here unless you are certain Discovery Parks have made some HUGE cleanliness and aesthetic changes. Currently it is disgusting, incredibly over priced and not functional.

We had a great time at Surfside, it was my first time staying at a campsite. We stayed on a powered site during Easter weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful, it was super easy to get hooked up to the power. The facilities were nice and clean and the showers were nice and hot and right in front of the beach. The price was also very reasonable at $80 a night, I will definitely be staying Again.

Great staff, it was my first time camping in Australia and I wasn't sure of a few things but they sorted me out. I arrived by bicycle and set my tent up no worries. They did advise that there had been cases of stolen bicycles and offered to lock it up inside the office. Some people in the reviews had said that was a concern. Kitchen was great, and bathrooms were clean too. The heater in the dining area didn't work though, so you might want to look into that. Great location and again very friendly front desk. Thank you!

The rooms here were great. Spacious, clean and had everything we could need. The only drawback was a noisy air conditioner right above the main bed. Cold without it running, hard to sleep with the noise when it was. Great location and really friendly service.

Rooms were satisfactory. Had every you needed in the kitchen. Only two complaints… the queen/double size bed was as hard as a slab of concrete. I had to sleep on top of the bedding. And the sliding door couldn’t be locked from the outside & meant going out rather annoying, as we had to keep running to reception to get them to lock our cabin for us. Locking the door, needs to be easy for guests to do. Get it fixed please.

$380 for 1 night in an old apartment was a bit how you going. Just the 1 little soap for 5 of us. Then had to empty bins, I thought they might have squeezed that into the $380. Credit to staff for allowing us to check in an hour early. Park looks clean and tidy.

Worst experience with an accommodation booking I've ever had. Travelling with toddlers and booked expecting to be able to share beds. Was immediately met with a very accusatory tone like I was deliberately trying to undercut the system, instead of being met with some understanding of an honest mistake. Reception was very rude, and I can only assume the disrespectful exchange was fueled by his racist bias. 28/01/25 Update to respond to your response: The lies in your response are wild. I did inform you at check in of the number of children we had, which is why we had that conversation. I didnt unpack the vehicle, we didnt stay there that night. Very easy to do a headcount for emergency evacuation purposes. Fair to charge $10 per head, but your solution was to charge us an extra $150 for a larger room. You said very clearly then that my toddler was a child so we needed to have 7 beds. Don't change your story now.

Stayed here Jan 2025 for a week in Tent. the site unfortunately had a lot of dirt and barely any grass. It was hard to keep the tent and kids clean as no matter what dirt was everywhere. other sites looked a lot better. pros: close to the beach, mornings are peaceful, kids parks and lots to do around, kiosk has most of everything, showers/bathroom were good enough. cons: Noisy teenagers (one night they were drinking/talking till 3am), site wasn’t great, had a few teenagers try and steal our stuff from behind the tent late in the night (lock your stuff up), sometimes looks like the bathrooms/showers haven’t been cleaned for a few days. Overall we had a good time and will most likely go back when the kids are older and I have a better set up. 6.5/10

Great caravan park in a fantastic location. Beachside with loads of parks and lake across the road
Pete B — Google review
The park itself is kinda fine, however if you are after a peaceful time this is not the place for you; there are no rules or anything in regard's to behaviour and noise. Families/groups around us played music way too late at night, parents were arguing and kids were in the shared showers playing music so loud you couldn’t talk to each other (I wish that was an exaggeration). I strongly recommend a different park.

Jan2-5 2023 Sites were very small and crowded found it hard to park van due to it being very tight. No sullage points tap was hard against the tree so it was difficult to connect hose. Facilities could have been cleaner toilet paper stuck walls and not cleaned off showers could be cleaner. Very noisy on one night and nothing was done to stop noise and loud music. Location was good but would not stay again. Over priced over rated

Such a great place to stay, so close to the beach and each campsite is a good size. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. There’s not much bad stuff to say about this Holiday park, apart from the fact that trying to turn right out of the park can be a nightmare. I rate this place a 4 out 5 stars.
Brody G — Google review
Stayed for 5 nights. Quiet, family oriented park very close to the beach. Heaps of young children running around who occasionally are a little noisy, laughing giggling screaming etc which didn't bother me at all, but may bother some. Lot's of free electric BBQs, spotlessly cleaned every day. $60 a night for a powered site, 2 Adults and 1 Child. Toilets/showers are cleanish but could be cleaner. Showers are nice and large but hot water service is woeful. Either scalding hot to freezing cold, I found it almost impossible to get it right. One night, 11:00pm shower got set right, then went cold and stayed cold for over 10minutes until I was done. I am not a Spartan!! Well located close to beach and town.

Great location right on the beach. Functional facilities but somewhat dated. I would stay here again given the location but don't expect anything amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. A little expensive for what you get acceptable.

Situated near the town's caravan park precinct, E Johnson Reserve and Lake Pertobe offer beautiful surroundings for families to enjoy. Perfect place for a picnic with family and friends. Many amenities in the area, from BBQ spot, toilet, playground etc. Boat hire also available. A really nice garden to have a wonderful experience.
Airlangga G — Google review
Lake Pertobe is great fun, there's so many things for the kids to do and heaps of different areas. They have slides, swings, water play, flying foxes, a maze and even little boats you can drive around the lake in. It's also lovely just to have a walk around. It has toilets, picnic tables and BBQs as well. There is one shop across the road but it's always very busy and the service isn't great I would recommend getting food elsewhere and bringing it with you

Community garden
Warrnambool Community Garden is a small and cozy market that may not be easily found on Google, but it offers reasonably priced fresh produce. The market has a good range of vegetables, including fresh corn and chilis, although the fruit selection is limited. In addition to the market, visitors can also participate in activities such as candle making classes offered by Galaxy of Crystals.
This community is big and relaxing! I went there with my mum and aunt, and we enjoyed it!
Robert E — Google review
Absolutely amazing garden, especially given it's all run by volunteers as it's huge! A sweeping site with a herb garden, bush food plants, lots of different vegetable patches, shelter for picnics next to a sandpit for the kids and a stunning amphitheatre which is quite sheltered from the wind. Lots to explore and a very relaxing place.
Courtney M — Google review
Warm and welcoming volunteers. Well tended garden beds and groovy vibes. Will return for the Wednesday market.
KJ L — Google review
I bought some pears from fruit rescue which were sensational and perhaps the best I’ve ever eaten. I also bought figs (again, the best I’ve ever had) and some lovely cherry tomatoes, corn, kale, and other delicious things. The honey is also amazing! A weekly must for my family.

Went to a candle making class by Galaxy of crystals. Made 2 large candles and a small table light one. Was really fun and l may try to make some more at home.
Sharon B — Google review
Small cosy market, friendly locals. Reasonably priced. Didn't show up on Google when I searched for vegetable markets in Warrnambool. They had a good range today spanning from fresh corn to chilis. Exceeded my veg needs. Didn't have a lot of fruit though

Great little park we use this regularly. My kids love it but I wish it was fully fenced. Seems silly to have 1 length of fence not enclosed and a gate that doesn't work.

Additionally, there are nearby amenities such as an oval for recreational activities, a pedestrian bridge over the river leading to a playground, making it an ideal spot for families.
My kids love coming here. The track is well maintained and both challenging and accessible. Take care with beginner riders that they maintain enough speed not to roll backwards down the hills! Nearby is an oval to have a kick and you can ride over the river on a pedestrian bridge down to a playground near the kinder and back up to the track. All in all, plenty to see and do here, even if you aren't here for a BMX competition!

Wildlife park
Wow! What a great local experience! Beats any major zoo I've been to! The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate which we absolutely loved. And it's so interactive - we got to hold a snake, lizard, wombat, glider and a wallaby plus we got to hand feed so many other animals like emus, kangaroos and deer! It was my son's 1st birthday and I'm so glad we decided to celebrate this way. He LOVED it! And so did my partner, Mum and Aunty (and me of course!). A great experience for all ages for sure. We booked in advanced for the 2pm session on a weekday - perfect time as it was a really small group. 100% recommend! Definitely will be coming back with my boy 😊
Melissa H — Google review
All the 5 star reviews are correct! This is probably the best wildlife sanctuary I've ever been to. Being only limited sized groups of say 15 to 20 people means you get a real in depth experience, holding and touching animals. The owners are passionate and lovely people. I'd definitely go again.
Lisa O — Google review
The most interactive wildlife place I have ever been! This place was incredible. The staff were wonderful and knowledgeable. The animals were well looked after and it was so cool that we were able to hold animals and learn more about them. Definitely worth a visit.
Addie — Google review
Amazing up-close experience...there is a brief talk and intro about each animal they bring out. We held snakes and a wombat to name a few and were able to touch a koala and hand feed emus, wallabies and chickens. Its one of the best wildlife parks in Victoria that I've been to. The 3 hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
L — Google review
Great experience. The trainer, Ally, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. She happily answered any questions and you get plenty of time petting and feeding the large variety of animals. We never felt unsafe at any point and will definitely return.
Cameron H — Google review
It was such an amazing experience with the animals. They have a unique approach that really lets you appreciate the animals. It was clear that all the animals were very well taken care of. I would definitely recommend for any animal lovers out there.
Lavish L — Google review
Very good and special experience and it is my first time to actually Touch a koala. The staff are friendly to let everyone get in touch with animals. Birds are naughty while kangaroos are patient🤣
Xingliang L — Google review
They are the nicest place to go! They are so good with kids. You get to have a close look at animals you would never get to see so close! Held a blue tongue, python, wombat, wallaby and squirrel glider. Then you venture out and meet the free roaming animals and other animals on display! Cannot not miss out on the talking and sneezing birds! Thank you for an amazing experience I have told everyone I talk to about our experience
