So apparently “All You Can Eat” here means “All You Can Eat… of whatever they feel like giving you.” You don’t get to order, you just sit there and hope for the best. This little detail? NOWHERE on the website, the sign, or from the staff. We called them out because, honestly, that feels like a scam. Funny enough, they’ve since updated the website… guess they knew. Oh, and charging for leftover sushi when it’s the kitchen who decides which and how many? Be serious. Also, why does every sushi tastes and look like it got baptized in mayo/cream? This place is for people who like paying premium prices to play “What’s That Roll?” and lose every time.

Decent sushi, also tried one of their Udon noodles dish with kylling, pretty good too.

Nice variety of Asian dishes e.g. sushi etc. We have tried nudles with chicken too and three different sets of sushi dishes. All of them were great. On a Thursday just before 14:00 there were only about three other tables occupied otherwise the restaurant was empty which was actually very pleasant. Extra points for interesting interior design. I liked the de orations on the walls. If there must be something little to improve I'd vote for the interior lights. I think the restaurant interior would benefit from a slightly more ballanced interior lighting. Because of the bright sunny summer weather customers sitting towards the entré and glass exterior walls can't see into faces of the people at the same table which makes conversation rather difficult. Otherwise, very nice place which I recommend both for food, the environment and service. Btw, nice music in the background too! 👍😎

Simply the best restaurant if you come with children or you want a good meal for budget price. Many dishes at display and refilled promptly. If You are nearby or going for a ferry to Hirtshals You have to visit this place. Especially I recommend the buffet as there is soon much to choose from and everything so good! Can't vait for next visit ;)

Tried the nordic buffet twice and I am moderately impressed with the food. It might also be because me being an indian, prefers fried food generally and most of the seafood you would find here is a bit less cooked in my perspective. The staff are nice and helpful. It costs around 250 for the buffet with drinks included. Well I would prefer the Mongolian barbeque buffet over nordic buffet if i have to go for a buffet in hjorring.

I’ve been here quite a few times (~7 or 8 times) and only once that I found the seafood was not delicious. I came here mainly for king crab legs which are available on Friday and Saturday evening buffet. There are also zebra and kangaroo meat for those who would like to try. The desserts are great also. My fav one is cream puff but it’s available occasionally, not always. I usually bring my own poultry scissors to cut the seafood myself as in my opinion, they do not cut them thoroughly, which makes it hard for me to eat all the seafood meat inside the shells. The service is good. I’ll definitely come again.

This is one of 2 Asian buffet restaurants in Hjørring. This is the more modern choice. There is a great wide selection of food from Mongolian barbeque, sushi, noodles, fried rice, hot spicy dishes, French fries and all the usual suspects like deep fried chicken, shrimps etc. There are also cakes, coffee and ice cream to enjoy. Service is great and prices very fair, which is why i really recommend this restaurant. The place is great if you want to satisfy the culinary needs of your friends and family. Everyone can find something that they like here. highly recommended

Rich buffet in Hjørring city center. Different types of meat and salad are available. It is also possible to prepare your personal noodle by choosing among variety of meats and vegetables. Good food. Probably in the nicer scale for a brasserie. The service was lovely and very attentive. We were two persons and was served snacks, pre course and a main plus 4 drinks for around 1400DKK.

Overall food was OK. The starter (salmon) was a bit bland and unexciting. The main course (tenderloin) was unquestionably what made the meal worth it. The desert (strawberries with raw milk) was simply average. The service was unapologetically slow and disappointing. It took ages between courses - nearly an hour between starter and main course. Not once we were asked if we wanted more drinks. Our dinner plates and glasses stood in front of empty for ages, while they were "busy" tidying up the bar, and doing other mise en place for the next day. Eventually they had to be prompted for our desserts, which they seemed annoyed by. This would've been 2 stars, but a whole extra star goes to the chef who was extremely diligent in accommodating my wife's dairy intolerance. In summary, I honestly do not understand how this restaurant rates enough to be in the Michelin yearly book.

The atmosphere was nice and cosy until a pungent odour of drain suddenly hit us! We sat just opposite of the kitchen door and next to the toilets. It was awful but luckily we were done eating. The fish was too salty, unfortunately. Main meal very small with a little piece of cod and 3 tortellinis. Dessert was a chocolate mousse, quite nice but topped with a tasteless and chewy merengue. Unnecessary! More chocolate mousse and less trying to be chichi. Most surprising part of the dinner: the bill If you choose entry of the day, main of the day and dessert of the day you pay less then for the 3-course menu consisting of the exact same 3 dishes. Luckily we didn’t get sick. Not a proper kitchen. - the milk for in the coffe was served in a dirty glas. Besides: something floated in my milk. - the knives and forks had leftovers from previous meals. They hadn’t been cleaned properly. - the fries were cold. -the fries for the children were way too salt. The ‘fresh’ juice was claimed tot be home made. It really tasted like from a cheap supermarked. - the salad contained sand. - the mayonese was glazy and old. One contained an old fry. It was horrible.

I always go there when I come back home from France. Mainly for the "Stjerneskud" but also for the other different very fresh fish that they propose. It's a must. Nice cosy relaxing place proposing dishes at very reasonable price. I'll always come back

We arrived at the point where the kitchen was about to close. Nevertheless, the staff still looked after us. We had what I can only describe as an extremely posh fish finger sandwich. Some sort of rye bread, with fried fillets fish in breadcrumbs topped with a crayfish cocktail, fish eggs and asparagus. It was delicious.

Came here for the “guf” - Jettes guf is the best in Denmark! What a delicious guf! The ice cream flavours were ok, some tasted weird (banana and chocolate) and some were ok (caramel and nougat). They have a few outdoor seating possibilities

Cafe Fisk is a restaurant as well as a fish shop and I'm very happy to recommend both. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, even to tourists who only speak English. We ordered fish, which was very fresh and tasty, so we really enjoyed our lunch here.

You can pick up/take away many fresh fish products. I highly recommend the smoked salmon, the fiskefrikadeller or the fiske filet. Gorgeous!

Due to this all the restaurants were fully booked. As we were searching for a place, I came upon this restaurant and noticed a couple of tables empty and decided to go and ask if there was available seatings while my partner checked the next place that was a kebab take away place. I went in and after 10mins the guy came to punch in some orders he took from the tables. I asked him if there is a table for two, he then said they are dirty n he have to clean them first. I told him we don’t mind and is willing to wait, then he told me he is sorry n that they are less staff, I tried to explain that we are tourists and just arrived n every place is booked, so if he can help us, dude was like ” no, no I’m sorry I can’t “ As I was on my way out 3 white guest walked in and asked for an available table, I heard him saying no to them, but on our way back fram grabbing pizza at the kebab place, There sat these 3 people on a table eating at this same restaurant where he said he didn’t have time to help 2 people. PS; I understand the town is small and might not be used to foreigners but dude cannot use being less staff as an excuse. The restaurant was not super busy and for someone who have 8 years experience in the hospitality industry both hotels and restaurants, I could single handily take care of all the seated guests(30 +-) without breaking a sweat. Very shitty and disgusting behavior in 2025🤮🤮

We just got back in Hirtshals from our honeymoon and wanted to eat a little something. We came across the incredibly good Norman's. The host welcomed us warmly and responded to our wishes (fish & chips with extra sauce). In the time when we had been waiting for the food (15 min), a really very good rum was recommended to us on request. At the same time, it must be said that the offer at "Norman's" is really excellent. Not only the excellent cuisine is recommended, but also the spirits offered there. If we didn't live so far away, we would go to "Norman's" every Friday. Conclusion: The restaurant can really be recommended. The food and drinks are first class. The host is a dear soul of man and you immediately feel comfortable. The ambience is cozy and you can really pass the time there. When we're here again, let's go to "Norman's"!!

I usually never give five stars rating for anything, but this is well deserved. The restaurant Abstrakt offer a surprisingly good dining experience in a town in the middle of 'nowhere' and only six thousands inhabitants. I had the five course menu including the wine pairing (a bit above USD 100). I expected the cod to be excellent because of the proximity to the large fishing boat harbour, and it was. The two surprises gourmet wise were the 'cabbage on cabbage' (pictured) dish and the pork condition, both excellent! I truly hope this restaurant will survive in such a small place, it is a must visit if you ever pass by Hirtshals.

Thia is an experience you need to have. Everything about this place has atmosphere, is somehow very grounded and very cozy. Besides that, the food is absolutely top of the line! I mean, absolutely - on a national level, top of the line!

The tapas plate for two was amazing. Very high quality food. You can sit outside under a wind shelter or inside (very cozy but rather small). While not directly at the beach it is very close and is a very good choice to end your Lonstrup visit.

Great price on food but be ready to pay much more for drinks and soda.

Stopped by for a beer twice and both times, I was lucky enough to grab a seat outside with one of the best views in the entire kingdom. The beer selection is surprisingly rich for a place this size, with plenty of interesting options on tap for cooling off in summer heat or bracing against a a more chilly autumn gust from the sea. Time it right, and your drink may come with a sunset framed by the dunes, the sea as well as a horn salute to round it off. Not bad at all.

Fish and chips, or a burger of that is what you prefer. Food was good and the staff friendly. A bit small menu card but the food is served within 10 minutes.

This is as authentic as it gets! Very traditional establishment with extremely friendly, flexible and attentive service. English is spoken fluently. The bathrooms are basic, but clean and sufficient. The fish and chips were as close to the real thing as you can get. I would also recommend the burgers! The only down-point: we had to wait quite a while for our food, but it was more than worth it. Fine ales are also served. Would recommend this place highly :)

Prices were excellent too: I got a Stjerneskud (fully traditional, including the asparagus, shrimp and caviar) and a large beer for just 199 DKK (€27,-). Hats off for the worst lunch in a while! First impression is good, menu looks good.. the waitress was happy and serviceminded. Then starts the waiting. Almost one hour later, without no one coming to check on us, the food arrives. Ordered a Caesar salad, it was horrible, both taste and appearance. The staff was in a quarrel with each other and the chef was arguing in the kitchen. Another family was there and they also waited about one hour for the food. People sent their food back to the kitchen to be proper cooked. 1 star is too many, but our waitress was kind in the beginning, before she left us in limbo. Hopefully someone in charge of this restaurant will read this and make some changes in the work processes /staffing. Good luck in the future!

Came here to use our brunch gift card, and took the train from Aalborg because this place was more promising. The place has decent decor, with some art pieces hanging around the room. It was not the most cozy place we have ever been, but it was clean and fine. There were only 2 other guests when we were there, and the place could have benefitted from some background music, because it was very quiet and challenging to have a comfortable private conversation (maybe that was just us). The cook was very welcoming, friendly and sweet. The food was served quickly and freshly made. We had the option between soda, coffee and juice. We had the two latter, and they were both good. We didn't buy any additional drinks, so the one included glass of juice/coffee fell a bit short for the amount of food, so you may want to order an extra glass if you are visiting. The food was a variety of italian tastes, and we were instantly transported back to our resent holiday in the Mediterranean. There were some nice and interesting cheeses, a grape compote with yoghurt (delicious!), bruschetta, tasty ham and salami, fresh fruits, pesto and more. It was all fresh and nice tasting, which we really enjoyed. For dessert there was a sort of chocolate pudding, which looked amazing, but was unfortunately a bit disappointing. All in all, the service was amazing, the brunch was good and unique, but the ambience/mood left a bit to be desired. If you have the gift card and need to choose among the available places in North Jutland, we can recommend going here. Our giftcard of 250 dkk somehow covered the entire thing (Even though the brunch was 165 per person).

Phenomenal. Fantastic food, service and everything all around. We went with a party of 6 and had buffet. Everything was fresh and not one thing wasn’t to my liking. The meat that was brought to the table was seasoned wonderfully and cooked to absolute perfection. Merci; we will be back next year!

Rude service! We were almost met with hostility. The servant was clearly unfriendly and almost pushed us down a table. He got angry when we asked if my of the other non-used tables were available. Grumpy service all the way but he tried to cheer up at the end but firstly after we got angry. We were longing for a nice grill but it was overdone and dry. Atmosphere was not nice overall. Tourist trap, would not recommend to anyone.

Maybe we were unfortunate by the late hour (2-3pm), but the buffet was a little sad, and all the meats were extremely overcooked. The service was attentive, though.

The staffs english wasn’t that good. There was a self-service salad bar for free which was pretty cool! We also ordered the Chicken Burger, but the chicken was a bit dry and chewy. I would not recommend getting it, however the fries were pretty good.

Seems like this restaurant changed a lot after it changed name to best friend. Now it was no service and we left after waiting to order for over 20 min. One burger was standing on the counter ready to serve for over 15 min. The employees seemed to talk more to each other than helping customers.

Hjørring Friends cafe is at the entrance in Metropol shopping center. It lacks the Friends vibrant atmosphere of its mother cafe in Aalborg and isnt a cosy place to be but they have tried to create such an environment. It provides a good cafe in a location which has only a smaller cafe elsewhere in the building. Reasonable coffee.

Just amazing - I had my fair share of great dining experiences but hear me out on „Rarsted“: if you are looking for great food, where you can feel it was made with love and passion you don’t want to miss this spot. The starters where tasteful and intriguing - I was almost a bit sad after finishing as usually the main dishes are heavy and rather one-dimensional. But not here - the vegetarian main course was a journey in itself. Every bite was different depending on which parts of the plate you would combine. It was playful, light and delicious - it was just pure pleasure. The super friendly, welcoming service made us feel right at home. What more could you hope for? Highly recommended accommodation. I spent a night here with a tasty dinner and breakfast. The room was clean and had all the equipment a four-star hotel room needs. Gym,sauna for extra payment. Dog friendly hotel.

Perfect hotel for travelling to the Nordics by ferry. Hotel is literally less than a mile from the Fjordline, Color Line and Smyrill Line docks. Spaceous hotel, spaceous rooms, good parking facilities including charging facilities for EVs, great breakfast too.

Great location by the main road, the Nordsøen aquarium, downtown Hirtshals, and the ferries to/from Norway, Faroe Islands and Iceland. Parking is free and accesible.

Located very close to the ferry port, so perfect for an overnight stay if your ferry trip starts in Hirtshals early in the morning. Lots of parking space directly at the hotel free of charge. Downsight of its location: Distance to the “center” of Hirtshals is appx. 20-30 mins to walk. Really attractive and large rooms (probably renovated) with a very comfortable bed. One point of criticism are the bathroom and toilet, which apparently have not been renovated and could be somehow nicer and more modern. Breakfast is really good and the breakfast restaurant with great view over the ferry port. If we once again make a trip to Norway starting from the port of Hirtshals, we will probably come back!
