The 50 best restaurants to have dinner in Oslo

I don't like to write negatively about three-star restaurants, but I was very disappointed with this pride of our nation, Norway's best restaurant. Starting with the rushed service and lack of proper wine recommendations, we were already half an hour into our main courses. Then we were invited to a room in the basement. I understand that the second service scheduled for 9:00 PM forced us to be in such a hurry, but they also forgot to serve us one of the dishes, and there were only 13 of them. The food was great, but something wasn't quite right. It's a pleasure to go to such restaurants. We flew in from Poland specifically for this. Something didn't quite work, but we're not discouraged; maybe we'll try again next year. We send our regards to the entire staff, asking for improvement. We were there on August 13th.

Simply amazing, one of the best experiences that I had with food in my entire life, the service was amazing and very attentive, beautiful decoration and space. Didn't use a very formal attire and that was not a problem at all, would recommend to everyone

Absolutely elegant restaurant with exceptionally delicious dishes. The interior is stunning — a perfect showcase of iconic Nordic design with wood, marble, and concrete elements. The lighting is flawless, making every corner look like a movie scene. The food was outstanding, with several courses that were truly mind-blowing. Maaemo was my first ever visit to a Michelin Star Restaurant. The service and attention to detail from the staff was beyond anything I had ever experienced. Everyone on the staff was like a well oiled machine and everyone knew what they were doing while simultaneously paying attention to each guest. The inside of the restaurant was comfortable, spacious and filled with art (some of which was functional). The food was beyond my understanding or ability to describe. It's just something you need to experience for yourself. Everything was fantastically delicious. I still have dreams about the Lamb Donut! Towards the end each table was given a private tour of the restaurant and the kitchens. You can tell that the staff enjoy their workplace. Lastly, I need to mention how grateful I was. The staff gave me a birthday treat and a candle. The gesture was highly appreciated.

Unbelievable menu, some of the most enticing and imaginative flavors, textures, and ingredient combinations I've ever experienced! The ambience is singularly unique, with a clean yet warm atmosphere. The service was elevated and fluid yet never stuffy. We were so pampered! Oh, I highly recommend the juice pairing. Such a thrilling meal I will NEVER forget.

Fantastic food, fascinating interior, beautiful design with an earthy aesthetic. A bounty of food - every single bite is exquisite. My favorite was maybe the lamb donut on further thought, but there was so much good to eat. I had an amazing view of the chefs at work, and I found the non-alcoholic drink menu to be very nice and full of flavors you won’t encounter anywhere else. Very floral and an excellent taste and smell. The downstairs area is so nice, it has a cool feel to it, and the desserts are so good. It’s a highlight of the trip to Oslo - and then really nice to see Maeemo featured in an exhibit at the National Museum after dining there. Congratulations to the kind chef who gave me a kitchen tour and celebrates his last night with Maeemo today!

Great food hall with a wide variety of options from local specialties to Spanish dishes. The place is clean, lively, and the service is excellent. Sometimes a few spots get crowded, but there’s always plenty of choice. You can also buy local products to take home. A really nice place to visit in Oslo!

If I lived nearby, this would be a regular go to spot. There are so many choices here, and the two places we did try (a Spanish bites place and a goulash one) were both amazing. The vibes are cozy and comfortable-overall if you’re in the area, put it on your to eat list!

This is a multiple smaller businesses operating within the food hall. I tried the meat and fish companies. Both were exceptional. Prices were very tourist-like but the quality was great. The multiple different stores within the market made this a one stop. I saw they also had a butcher shop with aged beef.

A lovely indoor market with many typical restaurants offering Norwegian specialties. The place we chose required one dish per person if seated inside, which was a bit much as the portions were already generous. Still, the food was excellent, with a great harmony of flavors and ingredients. We really enjoyed discovering elk, reindeer, and whale among others.

Oysters were sweet, salty and fresh Poke was delicious as well - though krr 195 on a higher side with not too many cubes of salmon Calamari was probably the most disappointing in value - krr 156 or 165 cant remember and 5 pieces. It was tasty fresh and crunchy but a bit too expensive Cool vibes here

Awesome market and eating places. Has several bars and restaurants plus all the markets for fresh meat, fish, bread, cheeses. Many types of restaurants from sushi to burgers. Fairly “new” (like all things Oslo). Felt like it was built more recently rather than having a long history like other European markets. But we never pass up a stop at the market to see what the locals are eating.

Magnificent! A vast selection of fabulous food vendors, each unique to the next. HIGHLY recommend the trek from Oslo central.

I visited Kontrast on my 29th birthday with my girlfriend. The moment you walk into this restaurant, you immediately feel like someone special. The staff gives you their full attention. As soon as they see you’ve finished, they appear at your table right away and suggest the next courses. They really know their craft. They can answer any question and are happy to chat about anything. The dishes were exquisite. You absolutely must order the drinks paired with each dish — it really elevates the whole experience. The chefs work with incredible focus. It’s definitely worth going there, as it’s something completely different from an ordinary night out at a restaurant. I will come back.

Very creative, very delicious. Very nice use of seasonal and fermented products (koji, garum). Some highlights were the duck liver crème brulee with coffee-marinated cured duck breast, the moose fillet, and a wonderful drinks pairing that included not only wine, but sake too.

One of the best fine dining experience ever! Nordic food is often being underrated when it comes to food but just like what the staff said, nordic cuisine has started to establish its own kind of style and quality in the last decade and we were very happy that we didn’t miss out Kontrast in our trip. Food and service, all amazing. Kontrast is the kind of fine dining that doesn’t make you feel stressed, it’s a very pleasant and friendly experience and just highly recommended :)

Kontrast was our second Michelin star restaurant experience in Oslo. It has 2 red and a green stars. We really loved the place, cozy, welcoming. Seating area is facing the kitchen. Music selection was a perfect match for our age and I couldn’t helped my self to sing. Also, another table joined and we started chatting. Now we have new friends to visit in Prague. Food, atmosphere, service all was so good, a nite to remember. Also, we added up another signed menu to our collection. Don’t miss!

We had an overall enjoyable experience at Kontrast. Several dishes stood out for their bold and well-executed flavours—particularly the Parmesan tart and duck crème brûlée from the snacks, as well as the scallops, lobster tail, and vegetable main course. However, not all dishes hit the mark. Some lacked balance, and a few were underwhelming in execution. The chicken main, despite the creative attempt to prepare the breast in multiple ways, turned out dry and at times difficult to chew. The sourdough bread, which had an intriguing backstory of a 12-year fermentation process, unfortunately tasted rather average. That said, we ended the night on a high note with their inventive Jerusalem artichoke dessert, which was both surprising and satisfying. Service throughout the evening was attentive, and the staff shared just the right amount of detail about each dish to keep us engaged and curious. For the price you pay (>$3,000 KR per person), though, we're not sure it offered enough value to justify a return visit.

what a privilege it is to be able to experience food like this!!! impeccable service and food presentation. the snacks were good and courses that came after were excellent. the whole experience 10/10. definitely a reservation worth making :)

Great food and service, but overpriced with a disappointing wine pairing Restaurant Kontrast delivers refined, well-executed dishes — the food was genuinely very good, creative, and beautifully presented. Service was also excellent: attentive, professional, and well-paced. However, having dined at several Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, I have to say this was by far the most expensive, and the value simply doesn’t match the price. We opted for the “Premium Wine Pairing,” which is advertised as the equivalent of one bottle of wine per person. In reality, it was barely one bottle for two at most. The pours were very small, and the wines themselves were nothing special — quite underwhelming for the price. This may be typical in Norway, where alcohol is notoriously expensive and servings are conservative, but even so, the quality and quantity of the wine pairing was a major letdown. In short, the food is excellent and worth trying, but I strongly advise against the premium pairing if you’re expecting a true high-end wine experience.

One of the BEST meals I've ever had! Deliciousness langoustine appetizer, followed by perfect ribeye AND salad, plus thick potato (chips) cooked in duck fat - just ridiculous. Best meal of our entire trip to Norway!

Best dinner I have ever had in Oslo and I come here quite often!!! Everything has super high quality ingredients, tastes so good. We had langoustine as the starter. Duck breast with chanterelle and entrecôte as main dishes. Even the side dish potatoes cooked in duck fat is amazing!!!

This was the one restaurant that appeared on both lists of recs and I can totally see why. I walked in and was able to get a seat at the bar where Magdalena took such great care of me and everyone else. The seabass with phi quoc chilli was outstanding. Such incredible flavors! All the wine suggestions were spot on and thanks to her recommendations, we found one great spot after another on our trip to Oslo and Bergen!

If you like your French bistro well look no further. This is the place to go in Oslo. Great location in the hipster area of Grunerløkka with the best atmosphere and service. We love sitting in the bar and just being part of it all. Great food and always busy. So you have to have a reservation. Can’t estimated come back.

I’ve tried this place just recently and I can that it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Oslo! All the food we had was tasty, seasoned well and cook til perfection. Nothing was boring and the wine suggested by the waiter was also pretty good. Service was very friendly and the whole experience was amazing. The bill was on the expensive side, but overall it was totally worth it. I suggest to try the crayfish, the crispy ravioli with chevre And the ice cream with crunchy almonds and salted caramel. Be sure to reserve weeks (or more) in advance because it seems they’re always fully booked.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The food is excellent, especially when you order seafood. But we definitely love Norway. They have very different styles of making the fish special. I do recommend also to taste the White and the red wine from the list. They have quite a nice variation of different nice italian and spanische vines. Reservation is definitely recommended, especially during special dinner times like holidays or during the weekend. If you are lucky, we'll maybe get the table during the week if it's not so busy with a short waiting time if you're just stopping by.

Having such a wonderful dinner here! I went for the 4-course tasting menu, and it really had the perfect summer vibe. My favourite was the raw halibut – light, refreshing, and beautifully layered with just the right touch of bitterness from the herbs. The dessert was also lovely: the almond cream balanced the tartness of the berries and left us with a refreshing, light finish to the meal. The squash was absolutely amazing too, though I wasn’t as keen on the sauce. Overall, I’m really satisfied with this meal 💛

With all the raving reviews online, we were expecting more. The food was simply average - nothing particularly memorable or exciting. While it wasn’t a bad meal, there wasn’t anything that really stood out or left a lasting impression. Service was attentive and friendly.

We went there last night and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the 6-retter menu and the oysters. The food was fantastic, the ingredients were fresh and some of the combinations were truly surprising but delicious. The pumpkin and the langoustine surprised us a lot! They were our favorite dishes. The weitresses were very nice and were very attentive. We will definitely come back!

The food was very good, but the portions felt too small for the price. Perhaps we should have gone with the set menu instead of à la carte, but either way, we left still feeling hungry considering what we spent. Service was excellent, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I’ll have to come back to try the set menu, but for now, I’d give it a four-star rating.

This restaurant feels like it is 4.5/5. The food is interesting, but not every meal is stellar. I have been to many fine dining restaurants and it feels slightly below others I visited. Salty!!! As a non-Scandie, I appreciate that Scandinavians like 'well salted' however... We opted for the tasting, not quite sure what the other options were, and watched as well presented dishes were put in front of us. Full marks for presentation, however nothing wow and everything 'salty'! We commented to our server who basically said 'yes of course we like our food salty'. Apart from the obvious health issues, this did not enhance our dining experience! Billed as 'fine dining' the ambiance and general feeling of the restaurant was more 'bistro'. Even taking in to consideration the 'Norwegian' factor, this was a bit pricey for what it actually was (I think). Popular but not really for us.

Our best meal in Oslo! Had the halibut, squash, pasta, and pork. Everything was so delicious. The wait staff were kind and attentive. Highly recommend! Great value as well.

This bar was a trip! We went on recommendation of a friend and did not regret it. We sat inside on a weekday afternoon so didn't have to wait and drinks came quickly. The theme of matching drinks to Norwegian artists is so cool and every drink we had was so intriguing. Get the martini (I forget the name) - the drink is great, but the cheese is next level and earns the former title of best in the world.

Everything about Himkok is 5 stars. The ambiance, music, drinks, bartenders, and service are all top notch. Could not recommend enough. Weather youre a tourist or a local. Stop on for a story and a drink. It won't disappoint.

I tried a Negroni here and it was super good — really well made and balanced. I also tried a martini that came with a blue cheese-stuffed olive, but I didn’t quite enjoy the taste of that one. The place was quite dark inside, which made the atmosphere feel cozy but also a bit hard to see things. One issue was that I was mistakenly charged for two drinks (530 NOK) After noticing it, I went back and they quickly fixed the bill for me, which I appreciated. Overall, a nice experience with great cocktails, but just be sure to double-check your bill.

It was a love from a first time. Great, cozy and peaceful speakeasy bar. Excellent bartenders, amazing cocktails selection with some really savory ones (it’s so rare), distillery selection and cozy atmosphere. Timeless, worth every penny

The cocktail didn’t impress me enough, but overall it was nice. They are professional. There is a “waiting bar” outside before you enter this bar, so you can pre-drink a little bit (and if you don’t finish they let you bring your drinks in, too)

Best Cocktail Bar in Oslo! This is a special place. As stated by others, the entrance is a bit hard to find, think speakeasy NY style. But once you found it and you get in, you will realize how big this is. For the experience we had two cocktail each with my wife just before going for food. Those drinks were amazing, really great and super well mixed and measured. I have to say we tried a few cocktail places in Oslo and this one is by far the best, for the drinks and also the staff. We highly recommend it!

Ekebergrestauranten is set in a stunning location overlooking Oslo and the fjord. I recommend taking time before or after your meal to walk around the sculpture park, as it adds to the whole experience. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the view, especially at sunset, is breathtaking. Service was generally good but had a few shortcomings. Despite having a reservation, another couple who arrived just after us was seated and attended to first. We waited about 15 minutes before receiving menus, and the time between courses felt a bit too long. The food itself was good, both in flavor and presentation. The crab and scallop dishes were delicious, and the bread with butter was simple but well done. For the mains, the turbot was flavorful and nicely presented, though a little fatty. The veal special tasted great, but the meat was unfortunately very chewy, which was disappointing. To make matters worse, the knife provided wasn’t suitable for cutting beef, and it was difficult to get the staff’s attention. The meal ended on a high note with an excellent pavlova, light, crisp, and perfectly balanced. Overall, Ekebergrestauranten is worth visiting for the setting, views, and some standout dishes, but service and consistency in the mains could be improved.

I recently dined at Ekebergrestauranten, and it was an exceptional experience. The location offers breathtaking views of Oslo, which creates a perfect ambiance for a special meal. The food was equally impressive. I started with the lamp, which was cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. The mussels were another highlight—fresh, succulent, and served in a delightful broth. For the main course, I had the fish, which was beautifully presented and expertly prepared. The balance of flavors in each dish was spot on.

Ate the daily 5 course, and the salmon tartare appetizer was excellent. Piggevar fish was also very delicious, highly recommended. We didnt have a booking but we still got a window seat. Beautiful view of Oslo but not too overpriced, even if it was fine dining. Staff knew Norwegian English and some of them Swedish. We ate inside(the menu is different outside)

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the Ekebergrestauranten in Oslo, Norway. This restaurant sits on a hill overlooking Oslo with stunning views. The hill itself is worth a visit, as a marked trail leads past a series of sculptures – following the full route takes about 1.5 hours and offers different viewpoints along the way. The restaurant, with its beautiful terrace, is a perfect stop before or after the walk. We only tried the focaccia, which was delicious and well seasoned, but the real highlight seems to be the pizzas – baked in a genuine outdoor pizza oven on the terrace, with the wonderful smell drifting through the air. Drinks are varied, the service was efficient (if not particularly warm), and overall this is a great place to combine art, nature, and good food. Definitely worth it if you’re in Oslo.

The location is truly exceptional — a place that could easily be unforgettable if the service matched the scenery. We came hoping to enjoy a few drinks with the view, but it turned out that to access the best seats, ordering food was required. Otherwise, the only option was a few bar stools placed in the hallway area. Once it became clear that our plan was to have drinks rather than dine, the atmosphere changed rather noticeably. To make matters worse, the server seemed visibly upset when it turned out that the payment would be made separately, and in that moment, an old receipt was rather dramatically tossed aside — right in front of us — onto another table (in the pic). It’s unfortunate, as the food itself was perfectly decent, but the overall experience failed to live up to the incredible potential that this beautiful setting offers.

The food is good but the service really sucks. We waited to be seated for a while but we had a reservation, we waited for the menus for so long that i went and got them myself. We had to wave and wait for so long to order and no one came to check after they brought the food, the same with the bill and so on. Someone trashed the bathroom and they also didn’t clean up the plates at all, we had to stack them to make room on the table. The restaurant looks nice and the view is good, service is seriously bad.

Thank you for the lovely evening. The table was perfect. The service staff treated us well and granted all our wishes. The first course (salmon) blew us away. The beef in the second course could have been a little bit more tender. Although the red wine source and the spinach was amazing. My girlfriend loved the wine, which was recommended by the nice waiter. And the desert marked a fantastic end to a well rounded menu. All and all it was fantastic.

I must say I was left speechless….because of everything!—the food, the drinks, the impeccable service, and the high quality standards they hold themselves up to. We went with the full 10 course menu with the wine pairing. I requested non-alcoholic drinks and they exceeded my expectations. Every single drink brought to me was absolutely amazing. The food? I had very high expectations of this place given the exceedingly positive reviews and I'd say they were mostly met but not entirely. The food was certainly the best part and many of the courses were quite good (9 out of 15), especially the soups, langoustine, the pork main, the cheeses and the main desert. Four courses were "OK" and two we didn't like at all. Most disappointing were the petit fours; I don't think I've had a worse macaron before (of which otherwise I'm a big fan) and the other three very not great either. The wine pairing complemented the food quite well, but the wines themselves were relatively cheap and basic. For the price, they certainly could have been a bit better. The service was very polite but seemed a little chaotic at first, they asked three times about which person had the lactose intolerance and then still delivered the first course wrongly. Our main waiter also seemed quite nervous through the whole dinner, to the point that it was somewhat uncomfortable. PS: here are a few synonyms of the word "amazing": awesome, cool, great, fantastic, fabulous, terrific, wonderful, brilliant, super, excellent, lovely, nice

The delectable food, high standard of service, and atmosphere were impeccable! We are fortunate to have dined at other Michelin Star’s - this was the best! We are smitten! The next day we took a picture in front of Statholdergaarden restaurant to savor the memory!

Was on waitlist and managed to get a table. Lucky us! The langoustine with bak choi was very delicate and the lamb was amazing! Didn't make it to dessert though as we were too sleepy after a long flight. Would love to come back!

I celebrated my birthday here two weeks ago, and it was a great experience, the tasting menu took about total 4 hours . The soups were a bit salty, which might be a characteristic of Nordic cuisine. The bread was delicious and left a strong impression. The service was friendly, though there was still a bit of distance, and the introductions felt a bit rushed. I felt that Benjamin gave us a detailed explanation of the wines, demonstrating very professional knowledge. Thanks for the service, we will come back again.

Super fortunate to score seats at the bar here. Every dish was beautifully balanced. Appears simple but so much effort was put in to create the complex, well blended flavors. Everything was really well executed, super friendly and knowledgeable service who also gave us fantastic recs for Bergen. Would definitely come back to Hot Shop when I'm in Oslo again.

Nice and cozy place. Amazing bread with thyme butter! Highlight of the meal was the celery root with truffle, absolutely delicious. Unfortunately it took almost half an hour between the main courses and service just felt too slow and thus affected the entire experience.

Hands down the best scallops I have had in my life. First time for sea urchin, and many combinations I never would have thought would go well together until now. Chef is a "balansekunstner" and yellow saus master. 👏🏼 Wonderful local restaurant I would love to visit again!

We had high expectations after trying to book a table here for a while, but unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. The white asparagus dish was a strong start and genuinely enjoyable. We were served a couple of appetizers—a savory éclair that was fine, and a clam dish that was good, but essentially just tasted of tomatoes. The sjøkreps—usually my favorite crustacean—was a disappointment and felt like a missed opportunity. The fish course (we had turbot on foam) was decent, but nothing remarkable. The biggest letdown was the veal. While the meat was tender, the dish as a whole lacked coherence and flavor. The sauce had unappetizing lumps of fat, and the overall composition didn’t quite come together for me. The dessert was beautifully presented, and while I enjoyed it, the passion fruit flavor completely overpowered the multe, which I had been looking forward to. On the positive side, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It’s clear the team puts care into the dining experience, even if the food didn’t quite meet expectations this time.

Modern design but still cosy little restaurants. Staff were nice and competent. The food is on the experiment side, the paired wine menu is good and interesting. The reason for 4 stars: 1) when called to check allergies, they asked me for names, a little confusing, considering they are not a bank. 2) the protein in the whole menu is low, so at the end I was not full, the only place I didn't get full before is Rest, but Rest is a different concept. Add one more slice of duck or simply another bread will easily solve the problem.

Great restaurant hidden away in Dælenenga. They only have a set menu with a optional wine pairing. If you just want a bottle of wine, they have a great winelist centered around natural wines. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Overall a great meal, and a great experience.

The Fuglen way is cool, rooted in Scandinavian design from the 60ties and 70ties. At this spot, they roast their own coffee which supposedly is shipped to all other Fuglen cafes, those in Tokyo included. Crowded by off home-workers on a regular Thursday - difficult to get a seat. Bar stools available and outdoor area. Not exactly welcomedby cheers. Situated in the older part of town that is worth visiting. A few minutes walk from the tram 13 station. Bus 54 stops right outside.

Beautiful shop. Nice patio (wish had shade). Great service. Most importantly, fantastic coffees. Tried cappuccino and filter. Also got an ice cream by happis here.

We absolutely love Fulgen, from Tokyo to Oslo it has remained a favourite. The flavours are refined yet comforting, and the attention to detail is exceptional. A true gem that never disappoints.

They have another location in the city center, but I ljke this one because it is more quiet and spacious. You can pick up some nice brand merch and coffee around Christmastime. They have quiz nights and events too!

Coffee are great, matcha latte are freshly whisked too! They also sell a series of coffee beans which you can buy back home to make your own great coffee

First time in Oslo and am an avid coffee drinker. Really enjoyed the cappuccino and the staff were so wonderful. Worth the walk from where we were staying!

Came here with good expectations. Left here realizing this place is catered to a market that doesn’t have much experience with Cantonese cuisine. The dim sum isn’t anywhere near the authentic self it should be for the prices charged. Main dishes are also a long stretch away from counterparts in other capitals. Pancake was a tiny dry and oily “pastry”. Ham sui gok resembles nothing of its original self.

5-star dim sum, 3-star main dishes. The Mala Siu Mai was a pleasant surprise, the texture was bouncy and firm; the taste was balanced that the tiny spiciness was not overwhelming and it brought out the other flavors as well. The wagyu beef soup dumplings tasted like handmade from scratch. The broth was thick and flavorful, and the pairs deep fried spring onions neutralized the beefy flavors. The beef in spicy broth was averagely good, nothing special but decent. The prawn and scallop stir fired vegetables was a bit too oily to my taste, and the seasonings didn’t compliment the seafood. For dietary restrictions, it would be nice if the staff were better trained. I explained my nuts allergy throughly yet still got served a Macaron. I had to point out that Macaron is made of almonds and get the dessert revised.

We did the dim sum Sunday. Great experience and great food/ amount for the price. The hostess at the front was a bit fustrated and didn't communicate with us very well which was very unfortunate. Our server was new but he was lovely and provided a great service and treated us very well. The food was amazing all the way. I would have liked something to cut the tastes in the second round of dishes as each one was super heavy in taste. Loads of flavored none the less. Dinner never disappoints.

Similar kind of Chinese Szechuan food with Dinner Restaurant in Oslo. They have similar menu and dishes, similar atmosphere, table settings, and also cutleries. We had a dinner here on the weekend. It was full house but we managed to get a table. We ordered Hak Chiu Thai Ra Ha (Classic Wok with Scampi and Seasonal Vegetables), Szechuan Lohan Pot (Seasonal Vegetables Stir Fried in Cantonese Style), Kylling Gongbao (Kungpao Chicken), Kam Kon Pot (Scampi, Lamb, Chicken and Beef in a Garlic and Chili Pepper Sauce), and Vårruller (Three different taste experience of Spring Roll). Food was very delicious and tasty. Ingredients were fresh, meat were tender, and portion was sufficient. Service was good, atmosphere is nice and cozy. Recommended Chinese food restaurant in Oslo.

It was a really good meal. We ordered the four type dim sum, steamed sea bass, lamb and the chili oil dumplings. It was authentic Asian and you can taste it from how well the rice was cooked (validated by Asian tastebud). The stir fried vege that come with the fish was delicious, the lamb was tender. A satisfying meal.

If you're up for nice french style restaurant that serves asian food you found the right place. Very nice servings, plating, taste! Service is also on the high level as of michelin stars restaurants. Staff very nice and friendly! So long it's best restaurant I visited in Norway in regards to all! Book a table in advance it is worth it! Ps. Very soft and interesting beer - you should try 🙂

I’ve had good pasta at Trattoria Popolare a while back, but this time was very disappointing. The four cheese pasta tasted like cream and was very watery. The rabbit ragù had tendons in it and was not tender at all. Even the ravioli, usually my favorite, were way too salty. The sunny terrace makes for a great atmosphere, but we left very disappointed given our expectation and the prices.

Pretty darn good. Honestly this place has recently really upped its game and it really shows. Great food and service. Something different for Oslo.

We had dinner here at Friday afternoon and it was overall a good experience. The service from the waiters could’ve been a bit better, it took a while before someone came to take our order. The waiter we finally got was friendly and helpful. We ordered Raviola de coda de bue and today’s grilled meat. The ravioli tasted very good, but unfortunately the beef was too well done. They straightened this up by giving us a Tiramisu for dessert, which was very nice of them. A bit high prices for the portion sizes, but the location with the outdoor seating weighs up for this.

The main problem with this place is.. how can you stop eating.. I "just" took some cheese and sliced meat " anti pasta " for 1 person.. and it could be my complet meal.. really great. They do a " real " anti pasta plate for min. 2. I seriously wonder.. how much people could eat from that. It was really great. The grilled meat .. just as it should be. Very impressed.. service just great.. so.. when in Oslo.. and you like a good Italian. And want to end up in probably the best in Oslo.. this is the place..

This space is small, achingly cool, and yes, it’s always packed — but for good reason. The vibe is electric and the wines… well, safe to say you won’t run out of good options anytime soon (or gin too, if that’s your thing)! The stars of the show are the young, dynamic duo (I believe?) running the place. They’re friendly, passionate, and have a knack for recommending wines that hit the spot. I particularly loved that nearly everything on the menu is available by the glass, so don’t feel like you’re limited by what is on the board! If you’re up for a buzzy, intimate space with killer wine and great company, this place is a total gem!

Love their extensive wine by glass selection (esp for a burgundy lover). Very cute and cozy wine bar with a manual playlist: yes, they play music from a record player, not a phone!! Outdoor seating close at 10pm. The place is quite busy so go before 10pm if you want to grab a seat!

Each time I visit Oslo, I have a memorable experience. Today’s visit to Territoriet (more like TerritoriAL) was no exception. My partner and I arrived at 4pm to relax, have a glass of Cremant and a snack and wait for our photographer to meet us, to then walk around the neighborhood for our engagement photos. In that time, we also ate a very bland white bean hummus served with half baked bread while a woman had her breast out of her shirt feeding her persistently wailing newborn baby at the table next to us. This seemed to be of no issue to the staff, especially the barman who left in the middle of his shift to go grocery shopping. Though it destroyed the moment for us, we said nothing about it. However, the barman wasted no time letting us know that we were disturbing him. Our photographer grabbed a few shots of us inside, and then recognized that we should move outside as not to disturb our fellow patrons. When we were outside and almost on our way to our next location, the barman confronted us with a lecture about how it was “maybe okay” for us to be taking photos but that it “would have been kind to ask for permission” because we were losing him customers. This man was nowhere to be found for the majority of our time there. Nobody was waiting to be seated and the place was dead. We also hadn’t planned to take any pictures there—it was on a whim, and a very quick and last minute suggestion from our photographer. All done within less than 5 minutes. Needless to say, we apologized for upsetting him. When my partner closed our tab, he apologized again, only to be told the same thing about asking permission. Our kindness was not met with any grace. It was quite clumsy customer service in fact upon seeing the barman knock himself into wine bottles as he nearly ran away from our second apology. Anyway, we moved on to Nektar wine bar within walking distance and had a much better and welcoming time. The mature choice by far and actually deserving of their ranking in top wine bars of Oslo.

Even we needed to wait 20 minutes for our food, it was worth it. I ordered the Thaisalad with tofu and it was very good. The music was very nice and gave a very good vibe. They have vegan and gluten free options.

The restaraunt is cute and has low lighting in the evening which makes it a perfect date night spot. The toast was incredible it was a jalapeño grilled cheese that stole the show. The cauliflower dish was cold and included peanut butter and kimchi popcorn which did not go well together.The cocktail menu is not written down and you have to ask the server what they have, which was a bit of a hassle as she had to try and remember what was available. Overall pretty good but a bit pricey.

We were so lucky to get a table without reservation, so definitely make sure to male a reservation if you wanna go. The waiter was super nice and recommended a very good wine. The food was creative and delicious, although pretty expensive for the small plates you get. Definitely worth a visit

Fantastic menu. Very creative and on-trend. All food are fresh and made with love. Workers were very professional and friendly. They are experts at recommending which alcohol you should take with certain menus. They also describe well of each food presented.

This place became our favorite after several visits. Although I don’t live in Oslo anymore, having a meal at Skaal has become a must-do for me every time when I’m back here. However, our experience this time disappointed us, big time. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore, at least until they change the menu again. The two stars I gave here are even a bit generous, but one of the stars is for the good wine, the other one gives credit to the good job they used to do. First, the service had been extremely friendly, helpful and passionate before. I could recall the waiters still smiling to everyone and trying to engage with the customers all the time on full-house rush hours. This time though, some of the waitresses had this “I don’t give a s**t” kind of attitude — sort of rushing us to order, never explained the food in details like they used to do before, and didn’t even notice that our water bottle was empty. (Please note that we were one of the 4 tables dining at the time) We were shocked that the service style went from maximal attention down to less than minimal. Worst of all, no one ever asked how our food was, which was incredibly strange. We had 6 dishes, which means they had plenty of chances to check on us but they simply didn’t. Second, as mentioned above that no one ever cared to ask if the food was good, here’s an answer: generally awful — bear in mind that this is not a cheap eatery. In regard of the pricing, one of the dishes was good, three were ok, two were just edible. The only good one was the oysters. They managed to buy good quality oysters and opened them without leaving pieces of shells on the flesh, bravo. The clear slightly spicy sauce served with the oysters, which was obviously allegedly a style of “leche de tigre”, was good. Maybe change the name before Peruvians get mad. The Bolinhos had good flavors, but were cold inside, and had an unpleasant rancid taste probably from the frying oil. Crispy Aubergine had been our all-time favorite dish, but the sauce was way too acidic and salty this time. The hummus wasn’t seasoned properly as they did (to perfection, which beats most Middle Eastern places in Norway), and the aubergine was soggy. The tastes weren’t balanced to our surprise, becaue it’s what we found the most impressive at Skaal. Broccolini was deep-fried beautifully, sauce was ok-ish, but the pickles were meh. The Veal Breast (Kalvebryst) was weird. The meat itself wasn’t seasoned enough, but the sauce was so heavy and greasy that the tastes and mouthfeels combined weren’t that pleasant. It’s edible but not enjoyable. The Laksa Curry was a real disaster — first, yes, fusion sometimes can be a bit of a confusion, at Skaal as well, but in a good way. They were excellent at playing with flavors. This thingy we got didn’t remotely taste like curry laksa. It was missing too many elements that it could only be called, at best, Norwegian Thai curry. Second, the fish (skate) had a good texture, but an awful irritant aftertaste that disgusted us a bit. Maybe it’s supposed to taste like that, but we felt sick as we finished the dish. We didn’t really talk about anything else than how disappointed we were. Our conclusion was maybe they have a new team now — different chef, waiters, maybe owner, so much lower quality. I asked the waitress if there had been any changes with the team, she simply said “no, everything is the same” and left without caring about why we asked. We wanted to confirm if the chef was in a bad mood that affected the food but she seemed to not allow follow-up questions. Although they seems to not care about reviews here that much, I do hope they will manage to read what happened as mentioned above. Simply because they could do much better, like they used to, providing one of the best dining experiences in Løkka. Also because we left the restaurant with disappointment and confusion, and it used to be satisfaction with exceptional food and amazing service a few months ago.

Skaal = 🐀🐀🐀🐀 (4 out of 5) Desent place to check out some new dishes. Nice and friendly service. Hipster friendly place with nature wine and a bit dodgy interior. But a huge upgrade compared with the previous establishment. Worth a try. Happy rats will return.

We had brunch here. Although their menu is not big, it has enough variety. We ordered the toast with beef cheek and pork belly burger. Both were delicious and full of flavours. Service was efficient and staff was friendly.

The flavors were perfectly balanced – the crispiness of the samosa, the tangy chutneys, and the freshness of the toppings all came together beautifully. A lovely spot with a nice view of the square. They offer a wide variety of fish dishes. I tried the fish gratin with potatoes, which was good. The restaurant is amazing!!! We went there on Saturday lunch without reservation. Luckily that the waiter managed to get us a shared table with another solo customer. The ambient is nice. Small but cozy and feel relaxed to eat. The food was so so good! We ordered fish and chips, creamy mussels, fish soup and fish gratin. All food is delicious especially fish and chips and all french fries that are super crispy. The mayonnaise with garlic is super nice to dip the fries with! The waiter is friendly and attentive. Price is reasonable. We really love this restaurant and highly recommend if you come to Oslo.

The food was good, the best par of our dinner were the chips, well friend. The mussels were ok, but too small, lacking a lot seasoning. Fish and chips was good and the salmon dish was good as well. The place is too small and the tables are super close, which makes the dinner experience not the best.

The salmon was out of this world! We tried a variety of appetizers and mains, including fish & chips and snow crab, and every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. A must-visit for seafood lovers in Oslo!

A rather small restaurant but it has a lot outdoor seatings. The fish soup was creamy and flavorful. The fish and chips was freshly made and well prepared. The drafts was very good. The service was very adequate.

Our overall experience was pretty good about here. We had two starters, main courses for each and some naans. The starters were delicious. I forgot the names but one was a veggie patty while the other was filled with minced meat. I had the imperial goat at spice level 5. The meat was tender and juicy. Enjoyed its spicyness too. The venison was also good. The naan with nuts was pretty tasty and mildly sweet. Everything we tried is recommended.

Good Indian food with some varieties on the regular menu you usually find. Slightly upscale feeling, nice interior and hip menus. Food was really good, but with a modest spice degree, meaning that if you like spicy food, you can definitely go higher than 3 on the spicy scale.

This restaurant is excellent! Service is fast and super friendly. The menu is not your typical Indian restaurant but a small but fine selection of dishes. You can choose the level of spicy you want for your dish so it fits your taste. On top, they have a really wide selection of wines with some excellent bottles in their wine cellar. In summary, you should definitely come here and enjoy great food in a calm and nice atmosphere.

The ambience was good but the waiters were making the atmosphere a little bit stressful by always looking at us for something to take away/refill…BUT the food was delicious! I have been here twice now, and that’s because the food has an authentic taste and flavor to it! It’s one of my go to restaurants in Oslo:) Their specialty cocktails, in MY opinion, were a little too much considering the food already has so much spice in it, they don’t really go well with each other. So I would recommend ordering something else or the original cocktails:) I also want to highlight their food menu which contains allergy information in every meal, AND they have vegan options!

My go-to restaurant when staying in Oslo for business. Great quality food, authentic decoration and tableware. It’s a little taste of India right in the middle of Oslo. Spice is also adjustable to suit, but the tastes are fantastic regardless.

I was looking for a place to celebrate my partner’s birthday and the decor of Klosteret really appealed. It lived up to expectations, it was very cosy and relaxing. I like that they have real candles at the table and not the electric candles that are so common these days. We had the six course main menu with wine pairing. The wine pairing was notable for me, the expertise of the sommelier was undeniable and he picked out wines that truly complemented each dish. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and dedicated to his craft. I thought the Riesling served with the second course was a pleasant surprise. Coming to the food, two dishes stood out as Michelin grade to me - the starter soup with pickled mushrooms and langoustine oil, and the halibut with smoked aubergine. All the other dishes, like the tuna ceviche and the lamb with cabbage were excellent, but the those two deserve extra praise I think. When you go to a restaurant like this, you’re paying for an experience and we got one. But it wouldn’t have been the same without the wine pairing. It pushes up the bill of course but this is not a restaurant for half measures.

In a city like Oslo, known for its international flair, it can be challenging to find elevated Norwegian food.

Chose this place to have my birthday dinner with my closest family. Did not regret my choice. Even though the first course was s bit of a let down. The rest of the meal proved to be excellent. Well prepared and very nice presentation. Very good portions, we were all nice and full. Wonderful service as well. We had a little delay of one dish. But were well informed and got a little treat as a compensation. The rest went smooth and steady. The ambiance of the place is good enough reason to go. But the rest of the package is wonderful as well.

I would not recommend for the Juleboard! We were there on time but it seems like they overbooked and served our dinner an hour and half late. In the end we were asked to leave while we are having our dessert. They told us they have more booking coming.. which is obvious not our fault. Overall, not pleasant experience for a company event and the price. For be fair, we did receive the a discount as their offer but don’t think it matters much for amount of waiting and the hustle.

The atmosphere is amazing, the food was incredible, the service was some of the best I've ever had even compared to NYC top rated restaurants. This place is a must if you are in Oslo. Everyone was fresh and seasoned beautifully, I appreciate the love in the cooking and the care in the choice of ingredients. If I come back to Oslo this will be on my list of places to revisit.

I came here expecting a good burger… but left with way more than what I asked for! This might actually be one of the best burgers I’ve eaten in my life. And I’ve eaten thousands, no kidding! My order was: Gourmet Deluxe (double patty) and potato wedges (that they called grilled potato). The smokey but still very juicy patties worked like magic with the richness of the Brie and Gorgonzola, the oily crunch of caramelised onions, and the piquant truffle mayonnaise! Every bite was a delight. Even the wedges, as simple as they looked, were so crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside, with a generous sprinkle of salt shavings. A true knock-out burger! Last but not least, the wonderful service! You don’t really expect someone to make your order fresh a la minute and serve you at your table… but they do it, with a big smile! To the very friendly man at the counter today, you made my day (and probably many others’ too).

I asked ChatGPT for must-try food in Oslo and it actually included this place—specifically the Gourmet Burger with grilled potatoes. I’m usually extra critical about meals I can easily find in Los Angeles, but this was a very good burger. Well balanced between the cheese, mushrooms, and truffles. Nothing was too overpowering. The fries were fantastic too, with shaved salt. Must try? I don’t think so. Utterly fantastic? Definitely.

A MUST VISIT when visiting Oslo, I'd even go as far as to say you should visit Oslo simply for a visit here. Amazing burgers, delicious fries and lovely dips. Prices are absolutely acceptable and at our last visit they played the band The Gun Club the entire visit, which was right up in my alley. Expect it to be packed, we visited on the evening on a Friday and luckily had no waiting time.

I guess this could be the best burger place in Oslo. The smokey meat is awesome, everything is well ballanced. I’ve had a lot of burgers in my life and this was quite impressive.

It was on a hot weekday so the burger joint was very empty. My son order a simple burger and he think it was just ok 😅 very simple burger joint. Nothing woow and didnt have a large menu. No shakes and we didnt see burger & fries combo. Oh well…

We were there for Saturday brunch. Let me tell you, this was such a great experience from the food to the lovely people behind the service. The staff was always so kind and attentive and every dish was presented and explained in such an elegant yet unpretentious way. They have a lovely selection of wine, cozy outdoor terrace and lovely interior design. We can't wait to go back for dinner too.

We came here for the last night of our two week Norwegian trip. The restaurant had a very nice outside patio facing the river. The staff was warm. I have to be somewhat critical about the food because they were all very photogenic but the taste and texture could all be improved. The first course is kale soup. The portion was small but I think it is the right size so we don’t get filled up right away. However it was too too salty. It was really not suitable for the first course. The second one is the home made ham. It tasted fine but nothing special. The halibut was chewy. This was the second time I had halibut in Norway. Both of them were disappointing. I would recommend to get it in Anchorage. The side dish is cauliflower. The chef managed to add a lot of color to this pale vegetable. Unfortunately it tasted too soft and still boring. The final dish is steak. It was the best dish for the night. It was placed in a warm dish. Overall I liked the deco and sitting of the restaurant. The design of the dining table and Riedel wine glasses. The chefs seemed put a lot of emphasis on plating the food but forgot about the taste and texture. The wait staff were nice but need more knowledge.

Excellent menu and atmosphere. Stand-outs were the carrots in seabuckthorn glaze, the lamb, and the two varieties of Norwegian cider with the drinks menu. Will visit again!

Wish we could've done the tasting menu justice but we truly enjoyed the experience. We had the four course dinner and were blown away by both the presentation and quality of the food. My favorites were the halibut and the potato and leek soup. By the time the entrecote arrived we were in a food coma. Could've easily fed a table of four. Waitress was helpful [tilda?] and quite frankly, adorable. A wonderful experience.

The place to go if you want value for money! Just go for the set meze menus instead of ordering small bowls yourself - it’s definitely better for the selection and the price. We really enjoyed ourself and compared to other meze places in town, we left feeling very full. This is not a pretentious or fancy place, but home made and flavourful food. We got a very big and wide selection of food and flavours. Loads of meze dishes I have never tried before. Big plus for that. The surprising winner for me were the brussel sprouts, and we had some very nice chicken and sausage dishes. Only thing I would have wanted differently was a bit more bread to scoop it all up with. Staff seemed quite nervous and spoke so quietly that it was near impossible to hear what you were served, but I’m sure the staff we got will feel more comfortable soon with some practice! I look forwards to coming back

Probably the most authentic meze in Oslo. No shiny, fancy menus or so - just a charmful and cozy restaurant. Meze as it should be. Top notch, though it may be fair to say that I would have prefered a bit more food.

For 399 per person, everyone in my friend group managed to eat until we couldn't fit a morsel more. Even then the guy working there offered to bring us more for free (possibly just a symbolic gesture as he could tell we'd not accept, but still nice). A good variety of dishes, every one was delicious.

I've never had Palestinian food before. I had heard about Habibi before I visited Oslo and was excited to try it, and I am very glad I stopped by. The interior was pretty, the portions generous, and everything was delicious; in fact I had to really push myself at the end to finish it all because I was getting full! I ordered the vegetarian mezze platter, which I believe was the only vegetarian dish on the menu. The hummus was my favorite The only thing is I do wish the bread was bigger. I wasn't able to dip it into everything or just enjoy it alone as much as I would have preferred

Tried coming here two days ago and it was packed. We went a bit early today and although still busy, they took us in and they were super efficient and friendly. The owner was also working and he was very very nice. Food was delicious and service was fast and efficient. A gem in Oslo.

Delicious food,but I was somewhat disappointed by the service. There were a lot of people in the restaurant so that could be the reason why the serving personell did not have excess time to monitor and be attentive.

Hands down the best lebanese restuarant in all of oslo ... and surprisingly one of the best lebanese spots I ever had anywhere including the middle east and lebanon ... one thing that stood out for us was how fresh were the ingredients used and how good was the execution of each plate ... they were balanced yet full of flavour ... their humus was heavenly light and their keba was full of flavour yet not heavy and their batata hara was crispy on the outside soft on the inside and mild spice tanginess .. Their fatoush was super fresh and fregrant and was one of the best we really ever had anywhere ... their mixed grill was also a big hit which is rare it's usually a hit and miss with mixed grills where you like the kofta alot but not as much for the chicken and meat but in this case the entire plate was well marinated, tender and juiecy ..... yet the real star of our dinner experience was the desert their mahalbia was simply divine and out of this world .... It was the best I ever had anywhere including lebanon!! The service was prompt and friendly with waiters who had deep knowledge of the menu and were more than willing to explain anything especially to those customers who were not as familiar with lebanese cuisine. The place itself was located in the trendy aker brygge neighbourhood and is definitely a nice spot for casual lunches or even for nice dinner dates. Simply put ... Feniqia is a must try when in oslo for lebanese food lovers

Lovely place, minimalistic decoration, perfect for an intimate dinner. Service was great beginning to end. Food was good, but rather unimpressive considering the high praises, maybe I've set my bar too high. Nonetheless, a good experience.

The atmosphere here is delightful, making you feel like you're exploring your own city. This place is ideal if you're looking for a cozy yet unique dining experience. While individual dishes are simple, trying several together creates a full experience. The drinks were my favorite part—we had grape juice, Lebanese lemonade, and dry cider. This is an honest review from my opinion. The food doesn't taste as good as expected or let me say this way, it has less/mild taste. It looks so colorful and inviting on photos but taste is 3/5 for me. The place is neat, service was great. I have to give 3 coz I was really expecting more for the food.

Nice lebanese restaurant that were a little cramped but had nice atmosphere. Meze with grill Meze with grill consisted of 3 cold dishes, 4 warm dishes and a mix grill plate. Would recommend ordering this set as the menu can feel very complicated for newcomers. Pita bread The pitas were freshly made and tasted like they just came out of the oven. Falafel 🧆 Falafel had good flavor and was crispy on the outerior, paired nicely with tarator dip. It did not taste flourly at all. Hummus tahini Chickpea puree topped with some toasted chickpeas. One of the best hummus we had. Baba ghanouj Nice and tasty dip made of aubergine and some pomegranate for color. Tabbolisalad 🥗 The salad tasted mostly of just herbs and some bulgur. Raqaqat jebne Pastry filled with mozarella, feta cheese. Pretty good about what you expect. Sambosik Pastry filled with minced meat, tased as a fried dumpling with some lebanese spice. Batata harra Roasted sweet potato, one of the booring sides as its just roasted veggies. Mix grill Meats on the mix grill was alright, but the spice taste of the shish kefta was not to our liking. And the lebanese bread was to burnt on some pieces as you can see on the picture. Other than that a well made mix of diffrent meats. Osmanlieh cheesecake Lebanese cheesecake, the filling was excellent and had a round sweet flavor. But the button and top was very loose and to overly sweet for our taste. Lemonade and pomegranate juice. Lemonade was good and tasted homemade, but the pomegranate juice tasted just like the store boght version. The negative is its very little liquid compared to the huge amount of ice cubes taking up the space.

Friendly and relaxing atmosphere, good service and big wine selection. Especially enjoyed my pork neck dish for main because the meat is juicy and tender. Flavours also work very well. Desserts are good but we think the Strawberry and rhubarb one is the best of the three we tried. Would recommend people visiting Oslo to try this restaurant.

Booked same day, wrong number of people, two more than first anticipated. The head waiter reorganized tables without skipping a beat. Helped with wine suggestions. All dishes arrived about same time for party of 10. Good mix of seasonal tastes that were well balenced. We went for the three course menu of the day.

Very intimate, cost environment, great local service who give great advice on food and selection of wine. This is very much a seasonal restaurant where there is a small selection of local produce. Mussels and local fish ceviche was amazing, duck and pork neck mains were excellent( highly recommend the pork neck).. dessert try the rhubarb and strawberry... sounds weird but it was amazing

Delicious food, especially the mackerel (see photo). The inside of the restaurant was super hot and steamy, so be prepared to drink a lot of water. Service was ok, neither good nor bad. Since the food was amazing, I think the experience overall was excellent regardless.

Way Down South is a true paradise for lovers of Southern cuisine! The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, the brisket is perfectly cooked – juicy and full of flavor, and the pulled pork is absolutely outstanding. The creamy mac & cheese is the perfect complement to the meal. The portions are generous, and everything is served with a smile – the staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. You can really feel that this place values not only great food but also a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience real comfort food at its best!

This restaurant was a great finding!! Staff was incredibly nice and service overall was great. Our server made some recommendations that helped us choosing the best option as firstimers. We got the big plate to share (more than plenty of food for two people). Food was just AMAZING. Great taste, great value! 100% recommended!!!

So glad we made the choice to go to this place last night. The bbq needs no real description, it is top quality. But two things stood out to me. First was the identity of the food itself. You may have varying tastes and preferences, but the food had its distinct signature. The Mac and cheese was fantastic and luxurious. The truffle and the cheese crumble to dress it was brilliant. The non-mayo coleslaw had a brilliant tangy minty touch. The six sauces were made in house and added a great complement of flavours to the meats. You can tell that the restaurant put its heart and soul into everything and that alone makes it worth a visit. But the service, the hospitality of the staff, and not just the very affable (I presume) owner, is a bit refreshing in the more subdued Nordic culture. A really good selection of beers, including one of my favourites - blue moon. Served in the original glass with a slice of orange as god intended. Extensive selection of wines which we might sample on our next visit. And lastly, the quantity of food for the family pickins was ample. We struggled to finish it but we were determined nonetheless. PS. We started eating too fast so I couldn’t upload a photo of the full meal. The ribs were my favourite and they’re not in the photo.

We visited this restaurant, which is well-known for its American barbecue. I usually come here in the summer, but we decided to try it again — and it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere inside was great, and the server was incredibly friendly, giving us honest and helpful recommendations. One of us even considered ordering a vegetarian dish, but the server told us — in a very honest and funny way — that vegetarian food wasn’t what they were known for, and that we’d enjoy the meat options much more. We loved the honesty. For starters, we tried the pulled pork donuts, which sounded strange at first but turned out to be incredibly good — a surprisingly perfect combination and a great appetizer. For the mains, we ordered brisket, sausages, BBQ chicken, tater tots, and some vegetables. Everything paired beautifully, and the flavors were amazing. We also had a Blue Moon, a fantastic beer that I can highly recommend. Overall, an excellent experience — amazing food, great atmosphere, stylish interior, and extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

They served us the pulled pork and a burger. The pulled pork was literally just a bunch of cold meat not properly cooked on plate. With nothing on the side. The burger was dangerously uncooked. When i confronted the waitress about this, it was as if she was trained to tell me that «beetroot» was the cause of the red color. And then she later changed her explanation and told that the chef’s use red food coloring on the meat? What on earth is this establishment on. Any way the first waiter was rather unwelcoming, the tables and chairs were filthy and rotten. But the worst part was the constant smell of marijuanah in the air hitting the outdoor serving area. Due to the establishment charging so much money for improperly processed meat, the Norwegian Safety Authority has been notified.

The food here was excellent, and the atmosphere was really enjoyable. We truly appreciated the quality and taste — definitely one of the better dining experiences we’ve had. However, there was one major issue. We were four people — essentially two separate families — and we wanted to order two family menus (each meant for two people). We asked if they could serve them separately, one for each family, but the restaurant refused and said they could only serve one four-person platter instead. This felt a bit impersonal and not very accommodating. Not everyone is comfortable sharing one large serving tray with another family, and it would have been nicer if they could respect that preference. Overall, great food and atmosphere, but the serving policy could definitely be more flexible and customer-friendly.

I visited Koi Ramen and was extremely disappointed. The ramen soup was very poor in ingredients and lacked flavor — it didn’t meet expectations at all. The second dish was also very small in portion size. Given the quality and quantity, the price was significantly too high. On top of that, the water was served in a glass that smelled bad — as if it had been wiped with a dirty cloth. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio was completely off. The service and presentation do not match the level they’re aiming for. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Cozy place, although a little loud. Almost always busy but for a reason, top notch ramen, prices are manageable and the service is perfect 10/10. Waitress Marija was amazing, asking about the quality of the food and making sure we got everything what we wanted/needed. Highly recommend.

The ramen here are some of the best you will find in Oslo and certainly meet the standards of a good ramen. We ordered the Tonkutso ramen and a Tantanmen ramen. The soup was prepared well and full of authentic flavours and it was the main reason why the ramen tasted so good. The presentation is also very good. Recommend trying here if you want some good quality ramen. It was priced nthe more expensive side of ramen, but seems to be in line with everything else in Oslo. Regards @fooderarri

An absolutely exceptional bowl of ramen! Norway isn't exactly known for its food culture, thank goodness the people behind this restaurant have changed that. I ate there three times in three days, trying four different bowls. Everything was incredible. So good in fact that I only remembered to take a picture of the last bowl.

I would like leave a huge thanks to the waitress, Marija, that happily welcomed us. She gladly answered any questions that we had and made sure we were enjoying our food. The food was amazing and the experience was even better with such a pleasant waitress. I am definitely coming back to this place, and I highly recommend for others to visit this place.

It is a small french restaurant that is in a cheese butikk. Like a french restaurant, the tables are very close to one another. We had the fish soup which was amazing. However, the taste of tartare was overwhelmed by the mustard. The waiters were super friendly. They are very busy so it does take a long time to get the menu and order as it is packed. But it is a very cozy place and would like to come back soon.

A hidden Parisian bistrot in the middle of Oslo. This place is not just for dining but it’s mainly a delicatessen: on the shelves you can see the amazing products they work with and this is a testament to the quality of the food you’re going to enjoy. The wine list is especially good, although a little pricey (I know in Norway alcohol is more expensive but it was still a bit too much). My partner and I ordered the fish soup and the entrecôte grillée: both were very nice! The only downside is that the place is very small and super crowded: you need to expect a little chaos that makes the place even more picturesque but it’s not going to facilitate having a proper conversation at the table.

Great place worth visiting. A piece of France right in the middle of Oslo. This is a very tiny (yes, do definitely book a table) romantic place that serves an arrange of French dishes, wines and cheese to take home. I went for a really nice duck pie, gratinated with everyone’s favourite Gruyère. My friend opted for a perfectly cooked entrecôte. Food was lovely, but the prices are a bit steep. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to escape Oslo for some hours - you will be transformed into a lovely and chaotic French hideaway. Thumbs up for the service, hard working and very friendly staff.

Absolutely delicious pizza and an impressive selection of natural wines — we had the Soave Classico Coffele and it was perfect. The outdoor terrace is relaxed and lively, ideal for a sunny afternoon. Inside, the interior is stylish and cozy, with a great coffee corner and shelves full of carefully selected products. Service was friendly and professional. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended for both wine lovers and foodies!

A popular and laid back place for pizzas. Tends to be quite full and it’s a great place to hang out with friends. I really enjoyed the pizza menu and selection. A lot of interesting options and a large focus on Norwegian sourced ingredients. I went for the white chicken pizza and it was good. Not a classic Italian bubbly pizza dough, but it is a decent place for food

A bakery (Åpent) that turns into a good Pizzeria after 4 pm. Both red and white pizzas. Located in a historic building (the former Tranen (Crane) restaurant (?)) you have two stuffed birds watching over the guests inside. If that scares you, you can also sit outside. 😎

Was randomly walking around because my traveler sim card ran out of data. I haven't eaten ramen in a month due to traveling around. If you knew me, you'd know what an aberration that is as I absolutely love ramen. It must be fate that I came across Genji. I ordered the flamed salmon belly and wagyu ramen. Took a bite of the first sushi and immediately wanted to inhale the second one. It is absolutely good. The wagyu ramen didn't disappoint either. The beef was so good and soft and tasty, just as wagyu should be. I didn't particularly like the bean sprouts with it but that's fine, it's still an amazing ramen. Obviously it's expensive but that's Oslo for you. Service is OK, it did take a while for someone to take my order. Ambiance is cool, very Japan inspired obvs. I'm glad I randomly found it.

Hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to in the Nordics. Friendly and prompt service, fitting decor and delightfully flavorful food. I loved everything I ordered: tasty shimofuri mushrooms with truffle dip, spicy Rainbow maki roll, well-balanced and yummy Devil Ramen and the wonderful Japan-themed cocktails. Will surely be back next time I'm in Oslo.

Great place for some delicious ramen with Japanese beers on tap! We went in at a busy time with no reservation and they managed to find us a table, even though the restaurant was packed. I decided to splurge on the wagyu ramen and the beef was excellent, although if I go back I'll probably get something spicy.

This restaurant was so nice, especially on a cool day. The interior is beautiful, but so is the outdoor area. I ordered the geisha mocktail, which was both pretty and tasty. For my food, I decided to go with the chicken gyozas as an appetizer and the shio ramen as my main dish. The gyozas were very yummy, and the ramen was delicious as well as warm and soothing to the body. Genji's is definitely worth visiting!

We came in by chance looking for simple dinner and drinks and were blown away by an incredible steak and sashimi that melted in your mouth. The cocktails were unique and delicious, and we got free sight-seeing advice from the kind personell on top! All-around fantastic dinner.

Nice place, friendly and smiling staff. I had the five-course tasting menu (half the size of the à la carte menu) - good for the price. The revisited nigiri with wagyu was very tasty.

Atlas is part of the Amerikalinjen hotel. We stayed there, but also had lunch on afternoon and it delivered! The food was generous (almost too much!) and exactly what we needed to fuel the rest of our day. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff so friendly!

my husband and i went last saturday. We are visiting oslo for the first time for work. We noticed the restaurant from outside. It looked cosy. Food was spectacular and very varied. Staff were amazing. We had a great laugh with the waitress who was funny. We would go back any time!

The breakfast was very average. I would say that the option for dessert is a really nice touch but the pancakes were a little too doughy where it tastes like it’s undercooked. The double shot cappuccino with oatmilk was really good! Will definitely be having coffee here again.

Chill brasserie, right across for the Oslo central station. Limited but varied menu with an additional bagel menu for brunch. Nice big windows for people watching and very pleasant music in the background plying at a perfect volume.

Greta place to grab a coffe in the morning or eat and drink in the evening. We ordered mac & cheese, a plate of anti pasta and two drinks. One Negroni and one After dinner cocktail. The mac & cheese was served in a hot metal pane. That’s great so we get food that maintains the right high temperature. Great taste and something we definitely will order again. We got served pretzels and wiped butter with bacon flavour. Just amazing as a starter. The anti pasta was ok. The Negroni was perfectly made and the After dinner cocktail was a vodka and Southern Comfort based drink. Last one is a bit to sweet for my taste. Negroni has the great bitter taste from Campari. The toilets in the hotel was great. Both clean and exclusive with clothes to dry your hands on. Will be interesting if they will manage to keep up with this service. Cross my fingers for that. Very nice and helpful staff. Looks like the culture already are good America nag them.

We are staying at the hotel that houses a restaurant. The Atlas was fantastic. We were exhausted after our transatlantic flight and the kindness and service were spectacular. As well, the halibut main course and salmon appetizer were delicious. I also had a Negroni, which was fantastic. Definitely a place to come back too!

We had the chicken ramen and the spicy hazelnut. The portions are large and the taste was great 😋 However, it was a little disappointing that the ramen wasn’t spicy. 😔

A lovely ramen spot with tasty dishes, though the flavours have been localised. The broth tends to be on the lighter side, and the spice level in their ‘spicy’ dishes is quite mild if you’re looking for authenticity.

The ramen was good, I especially liked the housemade noodles and fresh ingredients. My miso ramen was almost not spicy, even though the menu described it as spicy. Also, our outside table was a bit dirty and the waiting time was about 30 minutes for 4 bowls of ramen, which felt a bit too long.

Hrimnir Ramen serves one of the most memorable bowls in Oslo. The broth is rich and refined, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. A true standout for ramen lovers.

Super Cocktail Bar in Oslo We came here in January and had a few drinks. We really liked the atmosphere and the quality of both the food & the drinks. Also the historical look of this bar makes it a really nice venue. Comes highly recommended from us!

I’ve been a regular at Svanen and have always enjoyed your bar. Recently, I visited with a friend to celebrate your recognition as the World’s 50 Best Bars (finally). However, my experience tonight was disappointing. Upon entering, the bartender (identified as Rumen) greeted us but immediately shifted his attention to his friends who were in line behind us. Although there was an empty table in the front, we were told it was reserved. Shortly after, Rumen seated his friends at that same table (as shown in the photo below). When I asked him about it, he said they had made a reservation. As a regular guest, I’m aware that Svanen does not take table reservations after 20:00. When I pointed this out, he replied, “Oh, they just sent me a message.” (Lie again, as he was surprised to his friends when they were lining behind us). He was unprofessional, dishonest, and unfair. So we left and went to Himkok instead. I understand that your staff may wish to accommodate his friends, but the way this was handled, with dismissiveness and attitude, was not in keeping with the level of service I expect from Svannen. I’m sharing this feedback constructively, as I’ve always valued Svannen and enjoyed coming here. However, if this type of service continues, you will soon lose your regulars and fall out of world best 50. Edit: Your reply to this review blatantly fabricated a story and accused us of things we did not do. To your suggestion, we sent the incident, with documentation and photos, to the World’s 50 Best Bars team, and you were CC’ed. Outstanding cocktails in a cosy atmosphere. They were happy to mix up custom cocktails exactly as requested and they nailed it. Will definitely return.

A very nice experience in the heart of Oslo. Lovely staff, very attentive with warm smile. There are a lot options for the cocktails. Personally not over the moon for the cocktail, since the prices are not cheap, but the overall experience is worth it.

Upstairs very cool, nice service. Downstairs it's totally opposite, I was guided there to seat on specific stool, then the bartenders tone was out of the place for me stay. They said they need my place for someone else then I have to ask for the menu and water. So no for the Italians

Food was amazing. Wasn’t really expecting to have authentic Italian food here in Oslo. But was really craving some really good pasta and this hit the spot. Tiramisu was also had such a homemade feel to it. Definitely recommend Rugantino in Oslo if you’re craving for some amazing Italian food.

The best pasta place in Oslo and probably in the whole of Norway. The restaurant is very charming and stylish but also has this Italian vibe. It’s the perfect family owned restaurant with incredible staff. The pastas we had was their famous truffle pasta and the arabiata. The truffle pasta was the best pasta in my entire life. I’m definitely coming back!

We had dinner at this Italian place with dying with AMEX and were welcomed into a beautiful setting with a lively atmosphere. The service and wine were great, and the starter really impressed us. But the noise level was so high, we had to raise our voices just to chat. The main courses and dessert fell short of expectations — not bad, just underwhelming. Overall, a mixed experience.

My priorities changed suddenly when the food came to our table… so pictures were taken a little bit later as you can see. The food was amazing. My favourite was the homemade pasta with porcini and truffles. The best pasta I ever had in Oslo. The service was excellent, the waters friendly and funny. The atmosphere was great. We almost felt like we were in Italy. We are definitely going back!

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Rugantino Oslo! From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly and made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was attentive and personal, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the evening. The pasta was simply amazing — perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and made with such care. We tried different dishes, and each one was delicious in its own way. The creamy truffle pasta and the authentic carbonara stood out as some of the best pasta we’ve had in Oslo. Went here with friends and such a great place. Great food and service and love seeing people working having fun while doing it. We had pre-drinks, starters and mails, shared wine and drinks for dessert. All yummy.

I get why it was one star, just not why it was a Michelin star. Might be just me, but for $150 meal I expect enough food to fill me up and the service to be friendly. I was beyond disappointed in the food and portion size. I had a three course dinner and nothing was appealing at all except for the lamb. The lamb was fantastic but it was literally three bites. To compound this the lady behind the bar was not fun or enjoyable. She had a smug, condescending attitude and when she went too far, she tried to joke and it felt like she was trying too hard to be funny but she just came across as demanding and rude. I get I’m not the intended clientele for places like this, but when I pay that much money for so little food and to be treated like a chump. If anything this experience makes me never want to go to a Michelin-rated restaurant again.

The location may look like a neighbourhood café at first, but the menu is very impressive and refined, with great use of spices. The Norwegian ice cider in the drinks menu was a great hit.

Michelin Star Resto - excellent food. Set menu - we managed to get a reso sitting at the bar for 2. Atmospheres busy and cozy, was a little warm but assume that was just the day. Menu and food was amazing - Turbot especially was a favorite. Would highly recommend.

Our second time eating here and again a very good experience. This time we took the "Gordita" menu by the bar. The food was excellent, but the service was even better. My son, 15 years old, was really enjoying the experience. Our personnel explain and answer all questions, was very positive the whole time. We really enjoy our meal.

We took our brother here for his birthday meal. It was, without a doubt, one of the best meals we have ever had. The ladies working behind the bar were absolutely fantastic. Such knowledge and knew when you needed a top-up. Gave the best advice on wines. Absolute perfection. Would highly recommend and definitely will be visiting again on our next trip to Oslo. It was really hot. I tried the 6-piece Nashville Nuggets Roulette—one of those pieces was at Reaper-level spice. Unbelievable! The nuggets were super tasty overall, but that one piece… wow! I have a pretty high spice tolerance, but I couldn’t even finish it. The burger and fries were good, but I wasn’t a fan of the ranch dip. Definitely going back for those nuggets again!

I get that its Norway & eating out is expensive & all. But 225kr for this serving? & 150kr for a lemonade? Seriously? I ordered spicy (Nashville) & all I could taste was raw chili only. Absolutely no taste of chicken. Never again!

It was our first day in oslo, we went to Hot Temper and i can honestly say Harry your a legend, so friendly, knowledgeable and keen to help new tourists find new spots. The food was absolutely delicious, and Harry knew his stuff. I would definately reccomend this place and would visit again.

Disappointing experience with an online order after being a customer for many years. It's like they emptied out bottom of the fry basket into the bag. Really not what you expect when spending 400,- for one person. Bummer as this place has been great before.

Great place! We ordered the chef's sharing platter, and definitely didn't leave hungry. The Nero spice level was just right if you are looking for spicy, but not ridiculously spicy.

Excellent hot chicken and sides, with Nashville levels of heat selection. We had the standard chicken sandwiches at the “Ghost” level (third from highest) and they were rich and very spicy without being overwhelming.

This place was a total positive surprise! I heard many good things about this restaurant before trying it but I’ve never really known what was the concept about it. This is probably the only fine dining in Oslo that serves Portuguese/Norwegian food. And the combination of the two cuisines is an explosion of tastes, textures, and contrasts that worked for me during almost the whole meal. My friends and I didn’t know what we were going to eat so everything felt more special and exciting! Both of them informed the team about their nut allergy and luckily the chefs were able to find a solution about it, but I’m not sure if they can accomodate all the allergies and dietary restrictions. The service was excellent, a bit informal, with one of the sommeliers who loved making jokes while serving us, and I appreciated it, especially because he had the same kind of humor. The two sommeliers were so knowledgeable and professional when it was about explaining the wines and drinks, but also the plates that were served to us. Having the chefs serving us and explaining the dishes too gave an extra point to the whole dinner. The main dining area was smaller than I thought, but it was also intimate and everyone in the room could see the three chefs cooking the food. It was a bit dark but not too much, and the music was another surprise during the meal! The whole dinner was a total climax and I couldn’t find any bad or boring dish. There was a lot of balance in flavors and textures, and I might say that many things reminded my experience at the restaurant Maaemo. The only thing that I think they should get better is their desserts. None of them were bad, but I just think they weren’t on the same level as the previous dishes. Maybe they were missing freshness and more acidity? Not sure, but I could say that I recommend this place to everyone. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Oslo. A great applause to the whole team!

We had a great time at Bar Armour! The food and service was amazing! The balance of flavour keeps you wanting more. The wine pairing really compliments the dishes we had. We will definitely comeback to Bar Armour again!

Excellent tasting menu with a strong focus on foods prepared on the large multi-level grill in the restaurant. The grilled monkfish and duck breast were especially nice. Friendly informal atmosphere with fairly loud music ranging from Mozart to gangster rap and many steps inbetween.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Varemottaket! We were fortunate enough to be seated at the chef's table and had a front row view to all of the food preparation. Each course was delicious and well-balanced, and the chef was more than happy to chat with us and answer questions we had about the cuisine. The restaurant has a fun, vibrant and unpretentious atmosphere. We couldn't choose a favorite course - everything was truly exceptional!

Phenomenal! We loved everything from start to end - the service was top notch - friendly, welcoming, fun and casual all at the same time. The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic - fun and good vibes. Don’t get me started on the food - they serve impeccable quality dishes that focuses on the freshness of the individual ingredient. We had the wine pairing as well - everything was just perfect. Perhaps a small comment would be that we were asked if we wanted cheese with our bread which we assumed was part of the set meal. It was chargeable and this was not informed but included in the bill at the end. It was not a large amount but perhaps it could be great to be transparent about additional chargeable add-ons upfront given that there was no menu and only a single pricing shown for the entire course at booking.

Great experience! The food was very very nice. One of the best pizzas in Oslo for sure. The restaurant has an Italian style and nice environment. A bit of a long time since we ordered until we got the food, it was pretty full though.

We were visiting Oslo for 2 days and luckily found this Italian restaurant. We had a pizza and 2 pasta dishes. The pasta was home made and was particularly good. We also love the arancini which came in 4 pieces. The interior is cozy and comfortable. We were rejuvenated for more city walking.

I knew it was busy and that you couldn't book in the evening. Simply left our number with gentleman at the door and texted us (40 mins later) when our table was ready. We had a carbonara, risotto, and 2 pizza's. All were v tasty and good sizes

The Tartuf pizza is outstanding – creamy burrata, mozzarella, parmigiano, intense truffle, crispy speck, and perfectly crunchy crust. The Treccina alla Nutella dessert is moist and a chocolatey delight. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the space is small but cozy and full of charm. Highly recommended for true pizza and dessert lovers!

This afternoon was our first visit to Mamma Pizza. The food, ambience and the service provided were all spot on! The appetizer, pasta and pizza “served” and for a nice lunch spread of this quantity, the food felt light and sumptuous on the T. It was evident that they use their homemade sauces and stick to the traditional Italian recipes and the dessert was fabulous. Definitely recommend Mamma Pizza for a good Italian indulgence in Oslo city.

I dont see why anybody would give this place a bad review. We were here on September 13, 2025. Extraordinarily great food, friendly stuff and a great location. We had to wait for 40 minutes because we didnt have a reservation but it was well worth it! If we ever visit Oslo again we will eat here. PS: Give the guy who was managing the queue outside a raise. Such a friendly, patient guy and very helpful!!

The restaurant is looking very well, it has a nice atmosphere. The serving is kindly. The food arrived quick and it was tasty. It has an entrance from the station and one from outside. The drinks looks nice. The prices are regular for Oslo.

Really fun atrium space with old world charm. Reservation recommended. My gluten free pizza was perfectly prepared. Our waitress was amazingly attentive. It was walking distance from our hotel, and is near the Library and Opera. Very conveniently located.

Got here after a long flight from NY. Experienced one of the worst experiences of my life. My husband had a migraine and was resting his head on the table. I had ordered a caprese salad and the beef tagliatelle pasta. The manager came up to us to say my husband shouldn’t rest his head on the table because it doesn’t “look nice”. Not sure if it was because we were visibly brown but I’ve never had a restaurant manager be flat out rude like this. For what I expected to be a relaxing meal, turned out to be hostile and unwelcoming. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Having previously dined at Olivia on Karl Johans gate, I was excited to visit the Østbanehallen location, and it did not disappoint! Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. We opted for some delicious pizzas, which were perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and traditional flavors. Each bite transported us straight to Italy. To top off our meal, we indulged in an exquisite chocolate soufflé that was simply divine – the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. The service was exceptionally fast and incredibly friendly. The staff made us feel right at home, adding to the warm, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Kudos to the entire team at Olivia Østbanehallen! Big thumbs-up for that kind of service! 🩷 Now, onto the star players: 🦞🦀 Garlic Scampi – a tiny kick of spice, super fresh shrimp, perfect portion. Solid 5/5, no notes. Black Pepper King Crab – sweet, juicy, and just plain kingly. Every bite was a happy dance. Bottom line? Forget the drama, just come here and eat—because it’s downright delicious.

It is a bit small but the food is amazing. Calamari is super fresh, spicy scampi is buttery and well seasoned. King crab is sweet and spicy, it was kind of a suprise. But we tried many seafood restaurants this weekend and this one is our favorite.

We went to Mathallen Hall to get dinner but didn’t know where we should eat, and this restaurant was only seafood option, so we decided to try. Ended up probably this was my most favorite restaurants we tried in Norway. (We stayed only Oslo and Bergen) Bucket of mussels are usually fresh in Norway. The fish soup is the one really showing the character of the restaurant, and I really loved their fish soup. This fish soup was my most favorite fish soup I’ve had in Norway. (I tried 3 different fish soups.) We are very satisfied with our first meal of Norway.

Absolutely loved the poke bowl here. The fish was super fresh and practically melted when eaten- and the combination of mango ananas chutney along with it made the bowl even better.

Very nice Fish Soup. Taste was savoury and delicious. Ingredients were fresh and quite a lot with salmon, halibut fish, mussels, fish roe, and vegetables. Served with sourdough bread and garlic aioli. Bread was soft and fluffy, garlic aioli was good, it goes well with the bread. It was a delightful dish, I loved it. Fish and Chips was good too, fish was fresh and meat was flaky, not dry. And the batter was crispy. Sweet potato fries was also nice and sweet. Only the remoulade was tad too sour for me and the mushy peas has a bit strong taste for my liking. Service was good and staff were friendly. Recommended.

NEVER NEVER GO HERE So bad so bad, Jesus. 700kr For to burritos and to sodas. The burritos was so tastless and the service so bad. They put on extra stuff on it without telling us and then charge us for it. The burrito was so bad fold that i have to ask for a plate. Its was dirty on the floor to!

We had quite a late meal at their place at Hausmanns gate. The food was good, however, left me wondering whether the food is supposed to be rather chilled in temperature or whether this was because of the time of our visit. The workers are kind and friendly, but you can expect a full on Hispanic experience if there are Hispanic customers there too 😅 Not in a negative way, but it can get loud.

We found Freddy! Fresh, made-to-order burritos with focus on quality. Very friendly staff, great tasting food, can't be anything but 5⭐️. Oslo isn't big, you can easily walk here from central station. Don't miss it!

Walked in to this hidden gem, minutes before they were closing and was presently surprised by both the food and hospitality. Every ingredient tasted fresh and added a different element to the dish. The portion size was perfect as well. A must try for Mexican lovers when in Oslo.

It was my first time dining in at Freddy Fuego Burrito today and I was satisfied 😊 I ordered "Beef Burrito Bowl" and didn't regret it! The beef was very tender and the veggies were fresh, easily a must-have dish 😋 The staff were very friendly and helpful. Since I was a first timer here, they let me try different salsa before I pick my own choice. Nice portion, reasonable price (for Norway). I will definitely be back for more yummy Burritos 🌯 🥗🍴

This spot feels like a vibrant food court with a wide variety of choices to satisfy any craving. We went with tacos from Al Pastor, and they were absolutely delicious. I tried one of each, and the chicken taco stood out as my favorite. These tacos are truly unique, unlike anything you'd typically find in the U.S. While the prices aren’t exactly cheap, the quick service and lively, funky atmosphere make it worth it. It’s a fantastic place to hang out with friends, right in the heart of the city, full of energy and great vibes.

The place was pretty busy when we went at night around 8 pm so we decided to get take away instead of eating in. There are table inside and some outside. I had an Indian butter chicken with nans while my husband got some African rice and beans bowl. The food was hot and tasty and come in a big portion! Definite a great place for meals in the city central.

I had the chicken gyros with fries, pita bread, and tzatziki, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was tender and flavorful, the fries were crispy, and the tzatziki was fresh and creamy. Everything was perfectly seasoned one of the best gyros I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended!

Food hall in a quite centric spot, many options to choose from and the ones we did try were really good, shared some tacos, karaage chicken with rice (forgot to take pic), loaded fries and gangnam chicken, all super good and quite fair prices for oslo, deff worth a visit, plenty of space to sit and tap water for free, super worth it.

Nice place where you can sit and with a QR code order from the table and take away at the counter ( no table service ) price are high more or less 200/250 kr for a dish everywhere ( Indian food or Korean smash burger empanadas ) we had poke bowls ( Hawaiian ) little and horrible, first time to have a bowl with hot rice.

Great place with budget for this place foods. Each meal was practically over $20 each plate. Best place was the wing place. We tried the Thai restaurant, but it was packaged chicken for pad Thai and there was something different about it. Portions are on the smaller side for all the dishes we had.

What en evening we had last night! Great French restaurant in Oslo, food was delicious, we tried the foie berries and nuts… and the fish was unbelievable. But the best of this restaurant is the wine list! You have to see it to believe it… hundreds of different French wines all top choices. People attending the restaurant are very friendly and huge wine knowledge… romantic atmosphere, cozy almost like being in France

Chez Colin has a very pleasant atmosphere. Be aware that the prices are on the higher side, but there was only on single vegetarian option both in starters and main course. The service is also very good, although some waiting time when the restaurant is full. We liked our meal and the atmosphere as well.
