When in Klitmøller, a visit to Kesse’s Hus for coffee and pancakes is an absolute must. After all, how can you possibly go wrong with a seaside café that serves some of the best coffee in town alongside a tempting variety of homemade sweet and savory pancakes? The answer is—you simply can’t. After a bit of back-and-forth over the menu (which is full of delicious-sounding choices), we decided the sweet pancakes were calling our names. We settled on the sugared pancakes served with homemade strawberry jam—simple, yet absolutely perfect. I paired mine with a hot latte, while my friend opted for an iced version. Ordering is easy: you walk up to the counter, give your name, and then choose your seat. Options abound—cozy tables and corners inside filled with games and nooks for conversation or work, a front patio with a lively atmosphere, or the quieter side seating. Since the sun was shining, we naturally chose to sit outside and soak in the seaside air. Before long, our name was called, and our order arrived—warm, delicious pancakes dusted with sugar, paired with that heavenly strawberry jam. The combination was everything you want in a comforting seaside breakfast: simple, sweet, and utterly satisfying. My advice? Come hungry, because you’ll want to return again and again to try more than one of their pancake creations. Kesse’s Hus is one of those spots that lingers in your memory long after the last bite.

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to go for lunch while travelling! The galettes and crepes were amazing and perfectly light for a midday meal! The staff were super incredible and they were really helpful to my brother and I who don’t speak Danish.

What a great place to visit. The pancakes were delicious and the service was incredible. The member of staff took time to talk to us about local places of interest and was very helpful. There was a very relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of outside space to enjoy. I read about this place on the BBC, a fascinating story, and well worth a visit.

Food was fresh and delicious with such an incredible taste. Like a mix of home made taste balanced with Michelin restaurant. Coming back tomorrow :)

Absolut fantastic food, ever day something different to choose from either with meat or something nice in exchange, the dessert ist really nice, too. We had three fantastic meals, look out for the bread rolls in the morning, you have to eat them, just how they should be.

They have a weekly menu (see facebook) with the main meal available between 17:00 and 20:00. The food is very good and turn around time is fast. There's also a litte table inside where ~4 people can sit, but it's really more a take-out place than a restaurant.

Great food! It has a changing menu, every day of the week a different main course, the menu is published on Facebook at the beginning of the week. We had a super tasty red Thai curry with vegetables.

Selfserve Restaurant with a great view. Alltough the meals a very large and not expensive, the really lack of individual Taste. You get pretty big portions of Salad, shrimps, Fries and stuff but its not really seasoned. So ya, if you are hungry go there! Its good food for good price. But if you want really good taste, nah this is not the place to be. Great view of the beach and the ocean of Cold Hawaii. I did like it, but nothing i would Hardly recommend to try.

Almost only open a nice fish restaurant in no summer season in the area. Unfortunately this time my son got uncooked fish fillet which makes me to get rid of two stars for the taste. Otherwise it’s very typical danish fish restaurant which is nice and waitresses are nice too.

I have tried a few fish restaurants in Jutland and I can say this one was the best so far. The local Shrimps are a must. And the cod frikadelle is outstanding! The fish and chips was also delicious. Great quality of the fish and the ingredients they use. Also mega friendly staff.

Although it reads as "Fish store", this place is a gorgeous dining area, with in- and outdoor halls and quality fish food!! We orderered fish&chips and "Fiskesimphoni". It's basic (in a good way ), there is no waiter, you order at the desk (so no waiting for service 🙂), next to the boat harbour, you can purchase raw fish or dish with fish. Indoor and outdoor servings.

TLDR; Spare yourself the disappointment and avoid this place. As foodies this was a massive let down, and very unoriginal. There are many much better fish places than this one. The place presents itself as a smokery, but all we got was defrosted foods, and bought in products. And to top it off my wife got a sticky piece of plastic in her shellfish salad over 2 cm long. See picture. And the owner shrugged it off like it was nothing. This clearly shows the lack of pride they have in the product they are presenting for their customers.

As one of the few restaurants in Klitmoller, this place can get fully booked up on Friday and Saturday nights during peak summer season. The food is reasonably good in taste, but this is because the kitchen uses vast amounts of butter in everything they do - I witnessed steaks being cooked in a veritable pool of butter a centimeter deep in the pan, so don’t expect the food to be healthy! For this reason, 3 stars for food. The service itself is friendly enough, but can be very slow at peak times and the atmosphere is frankly somewhat sterile and uninspiring - a kitchen this ugly and untidy should not be open to see.

Completely overpriced and cooked without love. Very little sauce for the shrimp cocktail and the meat in the Wiener Schnitzel is cut much too thick and there are too many green peas in it that have no taste (frozen product). Very ordinary food. For this price we expect more sophistication and a decent amount of sauce. Tourist trap!

Spend 550dkk on two main courses, wine, beer and coffee. Very satisfying, rich fresh food. The kulmule 🐠 was great, and my wife loved the rødspætte 🐠 . Patatoes are served with it and they are made deliciously in butter. Sauce served on the side, hot and tasty. Espresso spelled wrong on menu card, won't forget that part either (ekspresso) and it is made more like an americano than an espresso but was tasty anyways 😁☕

First time that I discovered this great cafe was though my good friend. She recommended to go there if I want to eating good fresh fish. I ordered nr 1 which was fiskefillet and my husband ordered nr. 4.HAWGUS STJERNESKUD. My friend was right, was the best food that we have tried in a long time. Now Cafe Hawgus has a special place to our heart and every time we will go to klintmøller will also visit this amazing cafe. With no doubt in my head I will recommend to go and visit Cafe Hawgus! ❤️🙌🏻

Good Danish food but a bit slow service. Pricey.

We had an overall good experience when we were here with our two small kids. We ordered burgers all round, with an interesting fish starter to share. Unfortunately all burgers had to be sent back due to a mistake in the kitchen - however replacements were very yummy and well executed, and the staff was really helpful, friendly and apologetic about the incident. Would happily come back another time and will recommend the place to family and friends

It's an average experience. Out of 5 steaks, 3 was blue-rare rather than the ordered medium-rare. Sauces are nothing special, but they're okay and unlimited. Smiling and friendly service. Fairly priced meal and little to no waiting. All in all quite alright for the price tag :)

Excellent pizza, they have unique options which is such a breath of fresh air because many pizzarias serve many of the same kinds of pizza. We orded a honey roasted peppers Pizza (Flames & Flowers) and a duck, red cabbage, apple pizza. I preferred the duck pizza a little bit more, because that was truly special. It seemed like it was a wonderful atmosphere for the workers, they seemed to be happy to be there and was like a safe haven for them. Which I am very happy to see. We will definitely be coming back to try some of the other pizzas. And will be keeping a takeaway menu at the beach house, so others know about it

I had such a great experience at Geo’s Pizzaria! The food was absolutely delicious, the pizza was fresh, full of flavor, and had the perfect crust. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast even though the place was busy. It’s a cozy spot with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for both a quick bite or a casual dinner with friends. Highly recommend Geo’s if you’re in the area and craving great pizza. Just stopped in klitsmoller for a look around and jumped into this place for a quick bite. Lovely sea side colours in the decor. Staff are very pleasant. We had the Fish Sampler - smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, shrimp salad, Danish fish meatballs, rugbrød (a type of rye bread), with butter and dill cream. Also took herbed fish meatball with fries. The standouts were the smoked salmon, the dill cream and most of all, the excellent fries. Both fish meatballs were perhaps a little under par, but the rest was all nice. The fries were a huge portion, which it's just as well as- Inc a beer- was around £30. Id recommend for sure

The shooting star was different but not bad. Missing eggs but the fresh mangetout were nice. Really nice for the kids to draw and leave rocks but some people were taking place to play board games when we just wanted to eat.

I enjoyed the place right next to the surfer beach. Facilities were nice and clean and the food was good. I enjoyed the mussels and the kids had fish and chips one day and shrimps the next day. The food was served quite quickly and you can sit inside or outside and the if the weather permits.

We went out to eat at a restaurant today and ordered a fish platter. Instead of shrimp, the platter only had small North Sea crabs. The fish tasted only of batter and was very, very thin. The salad was okay, but that was about it. On top of that, it was very expensive, and the “plate” was a metal bowl – just like in prison. We do not recommend this restaurant. Better drive to Hanstholm and enjoy fish that’s as fresh and delicious as nowhere else.

First of all - I do believe this place has chairs inside its premises only for show. I would consider it a take out place only. But, as far as take out places goes, it is pretty darn good! I had the chicken/coleslaw burger and it was very tasty! Juicy chicken fillet on top of coleslaw all in a fresh sesame seed bun. I can very much recommend it! Prices are fairly mid range. Not surprisingly cheap, nor did I feel like my wallet was bleeding. Positives - Very tasty food. - Great service. We ordered something from the menu, but they were out of. So, we got the closest thing to it forna heavily reduced price. - Good location. Not in the middle of town, but close enough so you can walk home and still have warm food. Negatives - Very limited parking. ...which to be fair, they can't really be blamed for. - Side salad is a bit dull for its price.

The food was very good and atmosphere was cozy and warm. Unfortunately, there is an option to book a table at 15.30 but(!!) not the full menu is available until 17.00. I would highly recommend to remove booking options if we will be pressed to leave because they (obviously) have more important clients to come after 17.00 and we were asked to leave at 17.00. When I booked the table it was stated that the reservation is from 15.30 to 17.45. We were table of 6, with 2 kids and have a proper behavior, ordered a bottle of wine… I guess we are lucky as we eat fast due to kids eating habits 😅

Very friendly staff, the chèvre chaud salade was OK, a bit too much sauce and a bit to little cheese.. we had to wait too long for the main course but once it arrived, everything was forgiven. This was a mixed experience. First the bad….. although not busy, we had to wait allot. We had to ask for the menu. Then we had to ask to order food. We ordered a glass of rosè while waiting for the food but the rose was delivered together with the food (50 minutes from arrival until drinks was served). Luckily the food was absolutely amazing hence the score in my review. From my view the waiters were eiher very stressed or inexperienced. But they were kind and friendly why much can be forgiven 🙃. And again the food was good and not to be expected in an area so far away from the bigger cities

Viking House is our favourite place in Klitmøller! The rooms are comfortable and well decorated, as well as the house has everything you need (including a grill and a volleyball net). The surf lessons are tailored to the level of learners and the rental material is in great condition. Peter and Erik, as well as the rest of their team, run a wonderful surf house full of kindness and great vibes. 100% recommended!

Had my first surf lesson with Viking Surf House. It was such a great experience! Being a beginner I was a little nervous, but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Peter was a great teacher and the group class is such a supportive environment. After a few simple instructions, I was out having fun catching waves (or attempting to 😄). They've also got all the gear you need - all you need to do is turn up! Also if you have any questions beforehand, just drop them an email. They were really easy to reach out to. Highly recommend taking surf lessons with them if you're ever in Klitmøller :) 🏄‍♀️

Love the place! Such good vibes. Has everything you need, super new nice clean quiet comfy rooms. Location is awesome, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Peter and Erik are super sweet hosts and make sure you have everything you need. We‘ll be back a third time soon for sure.

An amazing surf house with all things surfing and then some! Unique clothing available for a Danish sustainable clothing store, jewelry, books and surfing accessories! Cute little coffee bar although we didn’t have time for coffee this time! We were here for the surfing and Peter totally set us up for an incredible day of surfing! A relaxing, laid back atmosphere that just made us want to hang out all day! Peter was very helpful and friendly! Absolutely recommend this place for anyone needing sirf lessons, equipment or just a nice cup of coffee… and maybe some volleyball?!

We needed to wait more than an hour for the food; even the drinks were not served before, with little children, this was not really a relaxing experience. We then asked and they said they forgot the order were going to be served immediately. This is a romantic hotel, perfect for couples. The beds are high quality. Clean big rooms with perfect temperature. The hotel itself is stunning and the service has professionalism. If you are in Thy I can highly recommend this place. The brunch was high quality with minor flaws but with options you need. Everything was not filled up, missing at least 3-4 things and the options are not widely, so the table feels empty with no sausage and nut cream after 9. No waffles or pancakes options, it's okay but almost all hotels in this price range have this, same with smoothie option or some kind of homemade green or carrot juice was not available. No espresso or fresh latte here, just normal coffee. The bread was not fresh one of the mornings, things you would expect in this price range.

The room was too hot with no way to cool it. The breakfast was ok, but not great. The dinner menu is too limited for us with only 4 items.

My parents in law booked their Golden wedding anniversary in the ballroom. The food, facilities and service were all excellent. The staff responded very quickly to email requests and were very helpful in helping us set up for the party. I would highly recommend Hotel Thingaard for a weekend getaway or a large event. The food was as expected, when ala carte and has to cater to a large crowd it's very mildly seasoned, this was no exception, but it was well prepared, warm and very good selection. There was extra seasoning at the tables. The battered dishes were over-battered and a tad too oily. Dessert was, unfortunately, self soft serve powder ice cream and with very few toppings (only 2). What makes this experience worth its value is definitely their Mongolian BBQ (Korean) and the exceptionally well mannered and service minded staff. I wouldn't hesitate going here again and highly recommend it as a family experience. Nice and clean place, toilets as well and wheelchair accessible with parking right at the door.

I visited Veslos Kro for a business lunch. Traditional danish restaurant with very friendly staff. Also, very clean area. I had the stjerneskud as main dish. All the danish collegues were pretty excited about it so, I am sure it was good but in my case I don't really enjoy my fish coocked in such way. I also had a very different apple pie. I think in Denmark you will enjoy the best and most different apple pies from all over Europe. This here was really sweet for my standards but still tasty. Overall, a good food experience. I recommend it for a visit :)

Stopped here on our way down to Thy national park. The place looks to be fairly recently renovated and is located in a shopping mal. The food is a mixture of your classic kebab and pizza place, with also some Mexican food on the menu. We all had a Kebab platter, which all of us were satisfied with. Nothing spectacular, but overall a nice experience.

Really expensive for what you get, and you pay alot of money for a glass of tap water (while we also ordered other soft drinks). Also pretty much everything is out of a box and not homemade (not everything just most) And then it's also selfservice so the value for money is even less. Also they forgot part of our order and really didnt seem to care and brought it out when we were already done with the rest of the meal. And I had to go inside to mention this since there is no service outside. I guess the only redeeming quality is that it's next to the waterside. However I would say not worth the price and you are better off at another place nearby.

Very cosy café with an excellent location placed directly on the harbour front pier. They serve a wide selection of burgers, salads and in the evening many different main dishes too. To drink you can choose between many beers, cocktails, smoothies , juices and sodas. We ordered the 'chicken Katzy burger' and the 'Smokey BBQ burger, both tasting excellent. The prices are a little bit high. The atmosphere is great but keep in mind you only have a 2 hour window for enjoying everything. I recommend this cafe primarely for the view and atmosphere.

Though not my own concern, I've been told from my mom to write this down in here - the coffee was offered in thermal flasks. That's something we'd expect in a 1-2 star motel, not a 4* hotel. When we were leaving the hotel, yet again, nobody was there, so because of being sick of the overall service, we just left the keys there and went on our way. Overall, disappointing. For a 4-star wellness hotel, this is very, VERY, disappointing. There's a huge way to go to even deserve even three stars. I recommend for the hotel staff to get out and see hotels that actually deserve their four stars.

Very bad hotel and restaurant, definitely not recommend. Blood stains or whatever on pillows, quilt and bedsheet, I swear to god the stains were there already before I use them. Came here in summer time, but the curtains can’t block any light with sunset around 11pm. You can hear everything from the hallway and neighbors. Tiny room with spiders everywhere, mold in the extreme dirty bathroom. When I walked into the hotel restaurant, the first question the waitress asked me was: are you a handworker? I was very confused and said I’m not (because I’m not and what is wrong with being handworkers). Then she went back to the kitchen and came out again and seated me in an area separated from other guests where I can’t be seen by others, I waited 20 minutes didn’t get any menu then suddenly I was served with two tortillas without ordering anything. I was astonished and asked what this is, the waitress asked a manager out and told me it’s handworker’s food. Can you believe it? I was shocked, paid the beer and left without any apologies received. For the record, I booked a week here for business trip, the room was 93 Euro per night. My two other friends (engineers) from our partner company have met similar situation, they sat in the restaurant for half an hour and no one cared about them at all. This is totally a new low and serious discriminations I have never experienced in other hotels.

Rooms view looked into the courtyard. There is dreary flute music playing constantly. The hotel receptionist was the dinner waiter so food took some time to arrive. Food portions are completely over sized. Breakfast was great. Hotel has a modern feel along with traditional wooden architecture.

The food was very good and atmosphere was cozy and warm. Unfortunately, there is an option to book a table at 15.30 but(!!) not the full menu is available until 17.00. I would highly recommend to remove booking options if we will be pressed to leave because they (obviously) have more important clients to come after 17.00 and we were asked to leave at 17.00. When I booked the table it was stated that the reservation is from 15.30 to 17.45. We were table of 6, with 2 kids and have a proper behavior, ordered a bottle of wine… I guess we are lucky as we eat fast due to kids eating habits 😅

Very friendly staff, the chèvre chaud salade was OK, a bit too much sauce and a bit to little cheese.. we had to wait too long for the main course but once it arrived, everything was forgiven. We had the seasonal fish and chicken dishes. Both were fabulous and so was the crepe desert. Definitely a place to visit

This was a mixed experience. First the bad….. although not busy, we had to wait allot. We had to ask for the menu. Then we had to ask to order food. We ordered a glass of rosè while waiting for the food but the rose was delivered together with the food (50 minutes from arrival until drinks was served). Luckily the food was absolutely amazing hence the score in my review. From my view the waiters were eiher very stressed or inexperienced. But they were kind and friendly why much can be forgiven 🙃. And again the food was good and not to be expected in an area so far away from the bigger cities

Wow. We found this place in between the Farmland on our Trip to the north, would like to stay for two nichts. With the charm of an ancient mill, this inn is nestled amidst tranquil nature. The hosts are very professional, welcoming, and offer cuisine that is probably unsurpassed anywhere. They combine traditional cooking with modern ideas and offer unusual surprises. The rooms are probably not the most modern, but that doesn't matter at all, as they are clean, comfortable, and very cozy. We are delighted to have discovered this place. This was our third visit to a Danish restaurant rated by Michelin - and all in all the one we would give the lowest rating (the other two restaurants are Mota and Novel). The presentation of food was at times lackluster and most courses were quite small. Tiny even. One or two larger dishes to make it a meal - the amount of food is too small. We were given menus to take home and to our surprise chocolate and waffles, supposedly the last course, wasn’t served. As far as taste and depth of taste the courses at Tri were average and at times just strange. A highlight was the juice menu we chose instead of wine. We spent about 5.000 DKK and felt like 3.000 would have been more appropriate.

We came in and our reserved table was given to other people. We still got another table. We did the all you can eat course. The first ordering round went smooth. The starters were not so great. They were quite dry and sometimes burned. We also ordered some maki's. The rice of those were also quite dry and had not much taste. After 35 mins we still had not recieved our drinks, so we had to ask for them ourselves. We ordered a second round of bigger sushi's. We had to wait an hour for that second round to be served. Overall the waitresses were sweet but they were just too busy to be caring about refills/ their customers because there were also a lot of take-aways and other stuff happening. The second round of sushi was tasty/ less dry, but overall the sushi's had a lot of similar tastes/ not a lot of diversity/ no fried sushi's. We ordered a drink refill and in the end didn't have to pay for it, so that was nice. Overall a medium place with some medium sushi.
