Authentic Japanese restaurant
Sushi Asakusa is a popular restaurant known for its fresh and well-executed dishes. The spring rolls, miso soup, and sushi are highly recommended, with the rice being particularly noteworthy for its perfect texture and taste. The menu offers a variety of options including classic chicken and avo sushi as well as unique choices like spicy crab sushi with delicious sauce. Visitors also enjoy the novelty of a robot server bringing food to the table.
Amazing and fabulous customer service! The food was fantastic — the double prawn was a solid 10/10. The atmosphere was great too, with lots of cool Japanese posters on the walls. They even have a robot server, which was such a fun touch. I’d fully recommend this place, especially for families with kids!
Fiona W — Google review
Food was quite fine. Not many options however, our main issue was with the price! There was an advertised price on each item, but when you go to pay it’s so much more! Sushi for 2 adults and a child that should have been around $36, ended up at $42?! What a rip off. Leaves you really frustrated when you pay so much more for something than it’s worth. Only reason we went here in the first place was our daughter really wanted sushi and the first 2 places we went were closed :-(
Camille M — Google review
The service is terrible, the tables are dirty and the food doesn't match the photos. I waited for my sushi for 30 minutes, and in the end it turned out that they had simply forgotten about them, but there were two more people in the room besides me, and that was it. The sushi was completely different from the photos. It looked like they ran out of fish and were trying to save on every skin. I got a bowl with rice and chicken, the rice was okay, but the chicken was cold and overcooked and not tasty, it felt like I was served yesterday's food. The robot that delivers food is all dirty and sticky, and there are no napkins on the tables, and the basic amount of cutlery people need.
Konstantin S — Google review
I visited the Sushi Train in Toowoomba expecting a delightful dining experience, but I was left significantly underwhelmed. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of the establishment raised immediate concerns. The environment felt dirty, which set a negative tone for the meal that followed. The ordering system, which required us to scan barcodes at our table, was unfortunately dysfunctional. We had to call over a server to take our order, and her demeanor suggested she was less than enthusiastic about her job. This lack of service was disappointing and not what I anticipated. As for the food, it was merely edible. The sushi stood out as the best item on the menu, yet it was predominantly rice—about 80%—which overshadowed the fish quality. We ordered three bowls of ramen, which came in meager portions given their price, and the taste resembled instant ramen rather than a fresh dish. The katsu curry rice bowl was equally disappointing, featuring a scant amount of curry and only a handful of small chicken pieces. I honestly believe I could make a better curry at home using just Golden Curry cubes. We also tried the matcha bubble tea, which was far too sweet and had only a faint hint of matcha, further diminishing our experience. Overall, the meal left us feeling hungrier than when we arrived, making it feel like a waste of money. I sincerely hope the management takes these reviews to heart and seeks to improve not only the quality of their food but also the service and the distracting volume of the music. Dining out is all about enjoying the experience, and this establishment fell short.
Saw H — Google review
It was empty and there was little lighting when we entered. The train had no sushi on it and only desserts so we sat down at a table to order and were told to use a QR code. The food took a very long time and when the chicken sushi came out one was tuna so we had to have it remade. The bubble tea came out after we finished eating and the three plates we did order came out at completely different times. We then tried to order more but nothing was coming so we asked the lady if we placed it correctly. She said yes but after waiting fifteen minutes we asked her again and she said she didn’t see the order in the kitchen. We decided to pay for what we did eat and left hungry.
Elloise M — Google review
Sushi was pretty good, fun lil delivery robot.
Hayley K — Google review
From outside, the place looked pretty good with the Japanese sushi bar aesthetic. However that's about the only good thing. The table was dirty and the music was terrible. There is no table service and the menu accessible by a QR code which is difficult to view on a phone with items names too big too fit on the small screen. Food is served by a robot, not a person and slow to arrive. The food itself was very underwhelming. Sushi is small and mostly just rice. Rice bowls are mostly rice with some token toppings and a few small pieces of overboiled zucchini and cabbage and not enough sauce. Overpriced for the quality and service. When paying, they tried to add a card surcharge even though their card reader wasn't working and had to pay by bank transfer. Unfortunately, this is the worst restaurant I've been to in Toowoomba and I do not reccomend it. There are plenty of better options nearby.
Christine - — Google review
If I could rate it lower i would. Absolutely pathetic! $72 and we got the tiniest pieces of sushi rolls brought out by a robot and we were the only table there. It took 5 minutes just for them to put the food there and program it where to go. It wasnt even enough to fill one of my kids. All up that gave us 16 mini rolls the size of a 10 cent piece and nearly as thin as one too! It then gave us 4 normal rolls which was drowned in teryaki i couldnt even taste anything else and then when I tried to wash my mouth out with my drink I couldn't taste it either. We had to go to maccas and subway on the way home just to try and fill ourselves up

Karaoke bar
Kajoku is a casual spot offering classic Japanese and Korean dishes, complete with tabletop grills and a bar. The restaurant is known for its unique desserts, such as the ChocoFry featuring deep-fried Korean snack ChocoPie served with vanilla ice cream. It's also a great place to enjoy Korean fried chicken and an impressive menu of Korean barbecue prepared for you to cook at your table.
Accompanied my friend to eat this cafe. The atmosphere very chill and spacious for 6 of us. The place quite near the plaza and Reject shop. The food was good and fulfilling. Eat Japanese curry, Korean rice cake ( Topokki) and also soy garlic glass noodle. They have single dish menu and also sharing menu. Dont worry if you decided to come alone. If you are a fan or wanted to try Japanese and korean food, feel free to try it here. Plus, they also have their own 노레방(Karaoke place) to enjoy. The service can be improve in future. As the order takes time a little bit. But again kudos to the staff on giving 100% effort to provide the best service. 감사함니다

What an experience, fantastic food and fantastic service. The food here was exceptional, from the beef strips to the tiniest grain of rice the flavor was there. I definitely recommend getting a bbq combo to try out your cooking skills on the hot plate, it sounds like a chore that you have to cook your own food and I understand that some people would definitely be turned off by that aspect but I think it's a perfect addition. It gives you something to do and a chance to wait and just talk to your table. Definitely get an entree though so you have something to chow on while you wait, but waiting will definitely not be too long. As soon as we pressed our button to order a waiter was at our table. The venue is quite small but they do what they can and it's not over crowded or anything like that so you get plenty of room to move around but the tables could be a little bigger. Overall I would recommend the spicy fried chicken, fried rice and the beef bbq combo. You get plenty of sides with it to mix and match and make your own little meals. Amazing food and a great experience, will definitely be returning and sharing this place with other friends.

What was once one of the top restaurants in town, is now outdated, and poor quality. The restaurant smells like an old barn house. Ordered chicken fried rice, very oily, rice was getting stuck in my tooth - when you allow it to dry and it’s not fresh. Flavour in chicken was strange. I like Korean food - it could be simple receipe, freshly made, and they taste good. But Kajoku is no longer the place in Toowoomba to dine at.
Romi S — Google review
We came here during the festival of the flowers. The restaurant is located upstairs. I have a feeling that the restaurant specialises in Korean BBQ as it seems like most people were having that. We instead chose a whole serve of fried chicken, sweet soy beef rice, sweet soy beef rice cakes, hot stone mix, spicy pork noodles, poached pork belly, and Tteok-Galbi. I think the most outstanding was the poached pork belly. It literally melts in your mouth. All other dishes were good but not extraordinary. Staff were friendly. The place was clean and tidy. It was a bit pricey for the serving size but considering we were in Toowoomba, I think this would be one of the better Korean restaurants.
Jonathan L — Google review
We chose to sit in the second dinning room on the floor but not an issue and gave us a little more privacy then the main area (no BBQ in this room). Staff spent time running us through the menu to help pick things to match out tastes. Food and sake could not be faulted, Spicy Korean Fried Chicken was amazing. Keen to come back and work my way through more of the menu.
Deker18 — Google review
Let me start by saying the menu/s here are extensive. Truly huge! Arguably, too long. Certainly for the indecisive type such as myself. Service is swift. No faffing about there but still super friendly. Service is requested via a buzzer. I'm a big fan of this concept, it's totally logical. If I need you, I'll let you know - why waste servers time walking around checking constantly? "Buzz for attention", I need this in my day to day life. So so so so many gins and whiskeys. Just so many! And part of me wonders why. Has anyone tried them all? And if you have, you may need an intervention... Honestly, a list this long gives me anxiety. What if my favourite whiskey in the world is on that list and I pick the wrong one? Like my future wife, would I even recognise her if I walked past her in the street? How many times might that have happened? How am I to know? For food I had the gyoza and a kara-agedon donburi. They used to do a tonkatsudon which I loved, but this was a close second. All the food was really delicious. Loved it and left feeling properly satisfied. After much deliberation and high anxiety I settled on a beer to drink, of which there a few, but nowhere near as many as the spirits, making the selection easier. For the most part, beer tastes like beer to me. Perhaps a sign I don't drink a lot of it. Ordering beer makes me feel blokey and tough, like a real man. I could use a few more hairs on my chest too. The yebisu beer had "premium" in the name which sold me. The word premium made me assume it was like the Heinz of baked beans but for beer. Can confirm it did indeed taste like beer and I liked it. A projector hangs from the ceiling in the main dining space, which I assume is for karaoke or post-work movie nights. Karaoke is, I assume based off everything else here, very good - but I had a bad experience one time with karaoke so I've not tried it myself.
Matt S — Google review
There were 4 of us, midweek with no booking. We were given a table with no wait although the restaurant was fairly full. We ordered a share platter with other sides and drinks. Most of the food was fabulous, it was personal taste that some was a little bland. Staff were friendly and although busy took the time to explain the concept of BBQing at oue table. Overall a good experience and I'd definitely go back again.
Jools S — Google review
Most exciting restaurant in Toowoomba - delicious food, nice atmosphere, great for large groups. Friendly and helpful staff. Price is pretty high, but is reasonable. If you take your friends to this restaurant, I can assure you that you will have a great night. They even offer Karaoke rooms as well after you have finished your meal.

ICHI Japanese Restaurant, located in Duggan Lane, is a popular choice for those seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience. Under the guidance of renowned chef Jason Lee, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and modern Japanese cuisine. The rotation sushi bar system, brought to Australia by Sushi Train Australia over 25 years ago, adds a unique touch to the dining experience.
Ichi is a small, no-frills Japanese restaurant, but it delivers where it counts — the food. You order through a tablet and pay after your meal, which I really appreciated for its convenience. I had the Unagi Don which came with miso soup — great flavour and nicely done. The seaweed salad was fresh and tasty. I also tried the pork bone ramen, which had a rich broth and came with chicken karaage on the side — both were satisfying and well-balanced. Overall, a solid spot for a casual Japanese meal. Would definitely come back.

All scales are out of 5 🍩🍩🍩🍩 (Flavour scale) Sweet chilly karate tastes just like Korean fried chicken which I’m not complaining about, it was juicy and full of flavour. The Curry was nothing special but a solid performer regardless. 💰💰(Value for money) Not the cheapest for the volume you get 🫃🫃🫃(Portion size for big boy) Lots of rice to fill you up but not so much on the ingredients. Hence why I ended up with two dishes. 🌹 (Date night?) Casual food spot with friends rather than a romantic meal
Jeremy L — Google review
Disappointed, got a pork ramen, way too salty, the pork tasted old and was tough to chew, the broth was bad, and pork was not pork belly as stated. Way too many soggy bamboo pieces. I added my own sesame seeds. Do not recommend. Waste of money. Threw it in the bin.
Sarah T — Google review
I’ve always loved sashimi, but I haven’t found any Japanese restaurant around Toowoomba that serves it as generously and deliciously as yours. The salmon slices are so thick and satisfying.
Quinn — Google review
I love this Japanese restaurant. It’s the only place I have found in Toowoomba that does pork broth ramen. The menu is extensive with heaps of different options to choose from. Super easy ordering from a tablet at the table too.
Emz F — Google review
Freshest Japanese dishes in town. Some of my favourites are Agedashi Tofu, chicken katsu ramen, vegetable and tofu ramen, deluxe rolls are also very filling. Pretty much any of the items on the menu is good. The winning dish from here is THE Sashimi Don. I've eaten this dish since the restaurant first open, and regularly for years after. It hits the spot EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The quality of the seafood, the quantity, the rice seasoning, everything about this is done so well. Sashimi is generally fresh most places you go, but it is very hard to find one that is actually filling, without having to spend an arm and leg. The owners are very accomodating, always looks after you. To compare this with thousands of Sashimi don served up in the big Brisbane city, I still haven't found one that ticks all the boxes like here.
Vy N — Google review
Absolutely love this place! Incredible food, never disappoints. The pork katsu is to die for! And shout out to the amazing staff, so super friendly, really make you feel like a part of their ICHI family

Sushi 3.5 is a great sushi spot that receives positive feedback. The sushi is delectable, and customers find the prices to be affordable. Ordering at this restaurant is convenient as it can be done through a tablet at each table. The service is quick and the staff are friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere for diners. The establishment itself is clean and appealing. Customers highly recommend Sushi 3.5 for its amazing food, excellent service, and fresh ingredients.
It's a cutesy sushi place, especially pleasing to me was the location. Surprised going in during lunch hour in the school holidays, and it wasnt that busy. Food was mid, but not bad so id definitely go back. Plates are not 3.5 anymore if youre looking from online.
Michaela B — Google review
My meal was inedible. The chicken had such a strange, revolting, hard texture, that I simply couldn't eat it. I imagine it to be the texture of cow tongue... that is what came to mind. I tried other pieces, hoping it was just an end piece, but no it is all just as grotesque. I love supporting local businesses, but when they purchase such low quality products but charge higher prices, and they don't check that their customers have actually eaten their meal before charging them... I can't support that. The store was dusty and dirty, and needs a good clean. The staff seemed not very happy, to be honest. I think they could do well if they thoroughly cleaned/dusted, tried to improve their relationship with customers (like, say hello when they enter... it wasn't even busy and we were ignored), and improve the quality of your ingredients (like use proper chicken thigh or breast). It could be a great place to go... just needs a good shake up.
S W — Google review
Pretty much had to grab my own utensils and work out how to serve myself. Service was non existent. Food tasted old and potentially not in date. Rice was sitting out uncovered the entire time I was there.
Phillip O — Google review
Disappointing Experience The food was underwhelming, the rice was bland, and the meat was tough and difficult to chew. For the quality provided, the pricing is definitely overpriced for such a subpar experience. To make matters worse, my cup wasn't properly cleaned, with visible residue at the bottom. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable, with unprofessional behavior from the staff. The only redeeming item was the scallop aburi, but even that had too much rice and not enough meat Would not return or recommend.

After ordering take away over the phone on Friday night, I sent my son in to collect our order with the credit card. The young girl at the counter gave us our order and my son stood there waiting to pay the bill, to which the girl said he was right to go. 10 minutes later, I get a phone call from the manager abusing and swearing at me that we did not pay, after the confusion I offered to pay over the phone, whilst he continued to swear and abuse me and told me I was banned from the establishment. After calling 20 times, I guess you don't want your money We have been going there at least once a fortnight since they opened, including supporting them through covid. If this is how you treat customers, you don't deserve our business No female should have to tolerate being spoken to like that whilst being in ear shot of my young son.
Katie H — Google review
Currently sitting here having lunch, place is half full and the server starts yelling at the other staff about who closed last night. Then hops on the phone and starts yelling at what I can only assume is the boss. Quite literally yelling whilst paying customers are sitting having lunch. I’ve been coming here for years and the service has dropped over the years but today was enough for me. He’s here slamming benches and stuff yelling. Pretty ordinary and disappointing considering what is was when it first opened
Jackson O — Google review
The rice was completely plain without any seasoning, and the flying fish roe (tobiko) had a very strong fishy smell, as if it hadn't been rinsed at all. Anyone who’s ever had proper sushi would immediately notice something was wrong.
조비 — Google review
Just no. From service to food quality, just go elsewhere. There's surprisingly lots of competition for a small town and one should definitely be proactive in maintaining a standard.

Tokyo Train is a bustling sushi train spot with a special menu that attracts many visitors. Once inside, guests are greeted with an impressive array of sushi dishes on the train, offering abundant and diverse options. Deciphering plate costs can be a challenge, but the attentive staff is helpful in this regard. The place may have some waiting time for seating, but the clean environment and delicious, reasonably priced meals make it worth it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food here is absolutely yummy as! Everything was so fresh and delicious, I couldn’t fault a thing. A special shout out to Jessie who was working when I visited – she honestly made such a difference. She was soooooooooo friendly, kind and welcoming, and it really stood out. People like her deserve a raise because she made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be back here for sure!

Best sushi I've found so far in T-bar. Rather amazing as there wasn't a Japanese staff member in sight. Lost a star as some food wasn't covered but otherwise well worth a visit. They also have a rewards card you can get at the checkout. You get a stamp for every $20 you spend and you can redeem them for free food.

If you're ever in Toowoomba, this is the place to go. Service was impeccable and the girls were so friendly. The selection of sushi was amazing. Japanese restaurant
Hana Japanese Sushi Restaurant in Toowoomba has gained a reputation for being one of the best sushi spots in town, thanks to its attentive staff and warm service. The teppanyaki experience is highly recommended, with skilled and amiable chefs like Will ensuring top-notch preparation and quality. Despite being busy, the restaurant manages to handle orders efficiently and even offers complimentary drinks when there are delays. The lunchtime rush creates a lively atmosphere, where patrons can enjoy fresh and varied food options.
Teppanyaki at Hana Sushi is fantastic. Will is a very talented and friendly chef, the food was all prepared excellently and of high quality and after some of our party were late, the staff managed the situation perfectly to serve everyone and ensure no-one felt like they were held up or rushed through their meal. Overall very impressive, especially for such a young part of the business! I recommend it to everyone, this is the type of meal experience that leaves you thoroughly entertained and full of different foods that are each as perfectly delicious as the last.

Not a bad little sushi place. I was referred to here by a local who swears by it. I must have gone there during a lull, because there wasn't really much at all on the train and I was the only one in there. The menu is decent and the service is quick.

Never get enough, again and again. Great sushi and friendly waitresses. 15 stacks of plates just for 2 people.

It is always busy at lunch time & the place has a great vibe. The food is fresh & a good variety. My favourite? The cup of green tea I have with my sushi, makes it all the more authentic for me. It's not fine dining but if you want quality food in a timely manner, well worth a visit.

I'm no connoisseur, but I really enjoyed the lunch I've just finished. Prices seem pretty standard. It's a little classier than I was expecting, my can of coke came with a glass of ice, and they've got a decent selection of booze at the bar.

Tried the teppanyaki this evening. The food was really nice and a good mixture. We had the seafood set. Chef was friendly and prepared great and entertaining food. Was let down by the decor. Harsh white lighting, plain white walls and a lino floor. No music. So it was very silent and bright. Food choices could have been more interesting too. But overall, good experience.
Alex E — Google review
Great service. I was there picking up a takeaway order and they were absolutely packed. They didn’t have what I wanted on the train so I decided to wait for my order. Because it took a while they offered me a free drink which I declined but I very much appreciated the great customer service.
Chantahl S — Google review
Incredibly disappointed ... you turned us away on Saturday evening - 7 customers, 25 mins BEFORE closing time! I understand you might want to go home and we would have happily accommodated menu restrictions, but your sign says closing time is 9pm, NOT 8:35pm!! Considering some or all of our family come to your establishment at least once a fortnight whilst we are in town and easily spend in the vicinity of $50, be guaranteed no matter how much we enjoyed eating here, we will not be back. Terrible, terrible customer service.

Kuro Beko, located in the Grand Central Shopping Centre, is a must-visit for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts. The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with perfectly prepared dishes and a charming ambiance. For those seeking diverse culinary experiences, Gip's Restaurant provides a smart and casual atmosphere in a historic building, while The Finch in Toowoomba CBD is known for its Modern Australian cuisine.
Amazing food and cocktails. Genuinely one of the best places in Toowoomba we've dined. Staff were super friendly and prompt with service. Only downside was it was a little loud and the seating wasn't as "private" and we were close enough to the table next to us to hear their conversations. Would absolutely come here again!

The food was really good! I tried the wagyu steak which was $80, I really recommend it if you have a big budget! The staff were VERY kind and nice and the place was very calming and cute! 5 stars for me 😊😊😊
Van A — Google review
The wait for the food!! Is insane!!! I understand that quality takes time but this is unreal- I've been here multiple times and wait 45-60 minutes for starters every time. The staff are polite and professional but the wait is absolutely deadly for someone as ravenous as yours truly. I thought I was going to die : ( The food is absolutely amazing though- at least the horrible wait is marginally justified by absolutely out of this world cuisine!! Had the Sashimi, Udon (pictured) and Chicken Katsu (pictured); all fantastic. I dream about them. Of course, my praise would be higher had I not been at this restaurant for a million years WAITINGGG!!! Nice atmosphere though- little bit loud perhaps. And again, can’t be clear enough that table staff are polite, attentive, etc. however the wait is diabolical, obviously not their fault though.

Kuro Beko is a quaint, immersive Japanese restaurant easy to locate in central Toowoomba. We had a wonderful dining experience paired with friendly staff and excellent service. The food was fresh, flavoursome and unique to the Japanese cuisine. We shared the Fresh Oysters, Edamame, Cauliflower, Duck and Vegetable Tempura - all cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend dining at this lovely restaurant.

We dined at Kuro Beko on 16 August with a 6pm reservation and were seated outside. Service was slow at the start, with our order taken 30 minutes later, and we had to seek another waiter for assistance after some confusion with the menu. To their credit, the staff pushed our order through quickly once it was placed, and were very apologetic The food itself was excellent – the duck was juicy with perfectly crispy skin, the tonkatsu was delicious, and the Junebug cocktail was sweet and refreshing. Despite the rocky start with service (understandable given how busy it was), we really enjoyed the food and drinks and will definitely return to try more from the menu.

I went for lunch. The waiting staff (young man) was friendly and accomodating. The more senior staff was not friendly- keeping her back to the customers being busy at the entrance, blocking somehow the entry without addressing the customers. I have chose a rice bowl with fried chicken and omellete. First impression was the the portion appears small and it is. Fair enough for lunch. Chicken meat was undercooked and that can be a huge issue ( salmonela exposure). The rice was sticky but while covered from the omelet, i cannot say much about. The omelet a bit more salty than it should be. Overall, just two stars for food. They have a great variety of sake but no Calpis in their soft drink list. Atmosphere could be great. It was cold though in a cold day. Otherwise, decoration is nice and it could be a great restaurant. A bit more attention on food and a friendly "owner/senior staff" would earn it even a 4 star overall.

Really quick and attentive service. Food and drinks were absolutely delightful, really quality all round. But on the pricey end but very much worth it

Pre-booked a table for my husband and I at 5:00pm to beat the rush. The service was amazing and the food came out quickly and was SO DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the corn. Compliments to the chef, I asked for extra sauce on the fish and I was not disappointed (i love sauce)! We will definitely be back with family. Thank and keep up the great work.

Ramen restaurant
Ippin Ramen has quickly become a beloved gem in the Grand Central food court, and it's easy to see why! With its fresh ingredients and delightful menu options, this spot offers an array of delicious choices that cater to every palate. Diners rave about their flavorful ramen bowls, including the creamy chicken and spicy chicken varieties. The service is exceptional; Andrew stands out for his kindness and attentiveness, making guests feel right at home.
We ordered ippin ramen and spicy ramen with eggs. If I have msg too much(like instant noodle), I get sick, but never happened with this ramen shop. Also, I like their bowl with creamy chicken & spicy chicken. It's good combination :)

I dont usuallt leave reviews but after getting uber eats from these guys, I left a note on special instructions saying "Make with love pls, I'm sick :(" and they FRIGGIN SENT ME A LOVELY MESSAGE I CRIED. Favourite ramen place, hands down
Gif P — Google review
Normally, I don’t have any complaints, but lately the food quality has really taken a hit. The creamy chicken used to maybe have one bit of gristle, but this time, every bite was gristly—and it wasn’t just the creamy chicken, the garlic karaage was the same. It was honestly hard to enjoy either. On top of that, the service felt super rushed. I get that it was a lunch rush, but I was being pushed through the line just so more orders could be taken. It felt chaotic and uncomfortable, with everyone squashed together. I really think it’d be better to focus on serving people properly, rather than just speeding everyone through.
Charlotte — Google review
Finally got the nerve to try this place after seeing so many good reviews and I wish I had tried it a long time ago. Let me tell you that this is the best restaurant in the Grand Central food court by far and it's not even close. Everything, from the bases, salads and choice of meats is absolutely delicious and fresh. I had noodles with onion and beetroot, spicy and sweet & sour chicken with honey mustard sauce with a peach ice tea. It's on the higher end in terms of price but my god is it worth it, and you get a good amount of food for what you're paying (I had a small bowl and it was more than enough for me) The staff are kind and patient and everything looks so clean and well presented. 5 stars!! Will definitely be coming back often.
Anna G — Google review
Asian lady behind the counter was very rude. I just bought some lunch today and when I got to the paying station, I asked for a peach ice tea but she did not respond I asked again and she rudely said yes and had already charged it on the bill and had the card payment set up, but I wasn't finish ordering and when I asked something else she just laughed at me. So hard to get decent service these days!
Marifel P — Google review
Food is ok whereas it was spectacular three months ago. The portion sizes have progressively decreased, despite the price remaining constant. The attached pic is a LARGE sized meal, plenty of air! I note from the other low review ratings that the establishment makes plenty of undertakings to improve, but nothing seems to change. Sorry, I won't be back and can't recommend until standards improve.

The best fast food option in grand Central. My daughter and I love sharing a bowl here and it's always nice a fresh. Have only ever had friendly service and it's well priced for the quality and variety.

Sushi Kura is a delightful gem in Toowoomba, known for its warm atmosphere and friendly staff. This cozy sushi bar offers an impressive variety of dishes, including the highly praised chicken avocado nigiri and customizable rolls that cater to your preferences. The sushi train provides a fun dining experience with easy ordering via touchpad, making it perfect for both quick lunches and leisurely meals. Guests appreciate the fresh ingredients and delicious flavors, often leaving satisfied with generous portions that can even provide leftovers.
In my opinion this place is tied for best sushi in Toowoomba. Smallish location but very friendly staff and a great range of dishes. I appreciate they recycle the food covers but they are getting a little old and cloudy looking so it's sometimes difficult to see the food well. Otherwise it was great.

The Manager at this place is amazing. So friendly, helpful. I would employ her anytime. The food is fresh and very tasty. Along with the food and the Manager we have become regulars

Perfect. The only word that explains it. The chicken avocado nigiri are to die for. The platter is 55 dollars and that serves 2 and leftovers. So delicious. Staff ask if you want any role to be customised amazing friendly. We go so often they know our order as we walk in.

Amzaing shop honestly I defenatly recommend buying sushi from sushi and bowl is amazing decently recommended
Ismael I — Google review
Ordered the mini tuna rolls, sashimi delux plater and the Japanese fried chicken. The portions in the photos looked like a decent size, when the order arrived, the bag was very small and the portions even more so. We paid over $50 for an adolescent sized fistful of food per person, which was 2 people. I won't be ordering from here again as the portions are too small for the outrageous price.
Dolly H — Google review
Definitely not a good experience. I had salmon nigiri made fresh as i was waiting there. The maki was not fresh at all. It was difficult to eat. Salmon was also not fresh. It was smelling like its been on fridge for some days already and i had to throw the rest after eating two.
Prabesh B — Google review
Delicious & fresh sushi. Friendly staff and nothing is a bother for them. They are more than happy to custom make sushi. Would highly recommend. We have been coming every week since they opened. Always get cucumber and avocado sushi for me and the family get the bowls with rice. So so delicious 🥰🥰🥰
Gillian S — Google review
They placed mayo in my salmon bowl and the menu photo didn't have mayo. Made it gross. The seaweed salad was way too sweet. The seafood inari looked like a set on the pics but it's actually just 1 piece. I asked an extra pack of wasabi since I didn't need soy sauce. They left out the soy sauce without sending extra wasabi.
Chantal C — Google review
The rolls are poorly constructed, loosely rolled & not stuck down so they fall apart. Besides that the staff are always rude & imo the food is overpriced for how roughshod it is.. Considering how many sushi places there to choose from, id suggest you up your game. I won't be returning.

one of the best sushi spots up on the mountain. The service is on point and my go to is the chicken udon. Definitely worth a try

Ordered a bento pack through doordash. The sashimi portion is REALLY small not like the picture showing in the app. It’s like 9 finger-sized of salmon sashimi. The nigiri is not properly mold it falls apart once I’ve picked it up. No chopsticks provided. Overly priced. Really disappointed.

The dining experience at Oh Sushi and Bowls was outstanding, with excellent customer service. Although there was an issue with the order through a food delivery application, it was quickly resolved by contacting the restaurant directly. The missing items were promptly delivered by a member of the staff or management, who also offered an apology. This restaurant is highly recommended and known for serving top-notch sushi and delicious karaage. It is a popular choice in town for its exceptional quality and flavors.
