The Finch Cafe, located in the central business district of Toowoomba, offers a contemporary and urban atmosphere. Since 2015, this establishment has been satisfying fans of Fonzie with friendly service and a complimentary chocolate freckle. Whether you visit for breakfast or lunch, The Finch serves local specialties like savory Darling Downs mince or their signature Finch Burger made with locally-sourced beef. Additionally, they have Fonzie beans available for purchase on-site to replenish your home supply.
If you want happy, friendly service, great coffee & delicious food, look no further than The Finch!! Just stopped in Toowoomba & wandered into The Finch just on 7am. We were greeted with bright smiles & a friendly “Good morning”. The experience just got better from there! Barista is fantastic & KNOWS how to make a great decaf coffee complete with a gorgeous bear in there!! The food was exceptionally yummy & perfectly portioned to be just enough!! Thank you so much The Finch team!! This is the first leg of a very big road trip for us & you certainly set us up right for our next four hour leg in the car!!

The Finch Cafe is my favourite place to visit in Toowoomba. The team is so warm and welcoming and the coffee is so so good. They find me here almost every day. Charlotte and Emily are always working hard to provide the best service to their customers and they make a delicious coffee. If you’re looking for a good meal, a great coffee or something different with their specialty drinks… head down town to the Finch Cafe!

Food hwre is amazing. I Ordered the eggs, Benedict on a Croissant. The eggs where cooked to Perfection. The flavour or the bacon. The hollandaise sauce was balanced and very delicious. The Pancakes was very yummy. The mango and the side Fruit was nice with a Little bit of cinnamon. The staff are not on the ball some times but still was good :-)
Lara R — Google review
The food was so good! It was the right mix of savoury taste. Absolutely perfect! 👌 Will definitely be back! The hot chocolate was perfect not bitter and not sweet! Incredibly impressed!

Managed to get a table at 8.30am in the morning on a Saturday during carnival of flowers weekend. I had called first to reserve, but they weren't taking bookings, however I was told it's a fairly quick turnover so if you do have to wait it won't be long. As it turns out, I didn't have to wait at all. Lovely fella with a beard, got me seated, organised my coffee straight away. I ordered the Eggs Benny, which was delicious. There was very little time to wait between ordering and receiving food or drink. Overall a great experience, all the staff I dealt with were great 👍

We had a lovely breakfast here over the Easter long weekend. The food was delicious, especially the roasted Goombungee mushroom dish (holy sh^t!). I wouldn't hesitate to return here or recommend this place to my friends when they visit Toowoomba 👌🏻

Turkish restaurant
Restaurant
Sofra is a vibrant restaurant with traditional Turkish accents and outdoor seating, offering homestyle Turkish dishes. The atmosphere immerses you in the charm of Turkey's shoreline, with colorful entertainment and an extensive wine list. The venue regularly offers lunch specials featuring unique dishes like marinated quail cooked over the char grill. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant's interior bursts with bright colors and cozy spaces adorned with traditional cushions and low tables.
Found this place online and it looked like exactly what we needed after a day in the cold rain. We get there and the restaurant is bustling and it smells incredible. I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he suggested the mixed grill. He knows what's up. It smelt so good on the drive home and it tasted even better. The lamb kofta is by far a stand out. The chicken was moist and tender too. The beef was perhaps a little unevenly cooked but it tasted great still. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
Jarod ( — Google review
Sofra Turkish was a lovely experience with great food and ambience. The service was warm and welcoming. We had the banquet for 2 and was good value and a way to taste a few dishes and all were very tasty. You will need to make a booking ahead if time as even midweek it was very busy.
Revital Y — Google review
We had a great time at Sofra, the atmosphere was amazing and I loved their deco. Their service was on-point. A special mention to CAN, he made our night. The food was great but I think next time we will skip the main meal and go straight to dessert. We saw the next table's dessert and really wished we were all sharing so I can taste them all. As we were a party of 2 and dinner left us with little room for dessert to order more than 2 servings. All in all we loved everything we ordered, Sofra is worth a visit if you are stopping in Toowoomba.

Easily a top 5 restaurant in Toowoomba - consistently delicious meals with good service. Large serving sizes, great value. Always bring guests from out of town here as they never disappoints. I have tried many dishes from their menu; the mezze platter, mixed grill and sundae are particular highlights.
Nancy M — Google review
Absolutely brilliant feed. Mixed grill and Turkish delight sundae……unbeatable. The meat was tender and had that nice coal smoke. The staff are quick and friendly.
Tristan B — Google review
Absolutely immaculate food, really good service, very attentive without being overly so. Vibe was great, would highly recommend .
Hayley K — Google review
Beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere. The staff are attentive and gave great recommendations. The star of the banquet for me was definitely the marinated meats, so juicy, tender and flavorful! A must-try in Toowoomba!
Clover — Google review
Wow. Amazing experience. Food was delicious and had such a great range of flavour profiles. Blown away by the quality and quantity of food for the price. We had the mezze platter and mixed grill which was such a good variety. Service was outstanding. All staff were attentive and so friendly. We felt genuinely cared for. Atmosphere and decor makes you feel you have walked into a local restaurant in Turkey.

Ground Up Cafe is a charming and rustic coffee shop located in a vibrant laneway, offering premium Blackboard Coffee Roasters brews. The cafe boasts a playful Melbourne vibe and serves inventive breakfast dishes such as fluffy ricotta pancakes and stacked Benny with various delectable ingredients.
A fantastic little spot in Toowoomba. Tucked away down a little alley way would be easy to walk past but do yourself a favour and don't! Great coffee, excellent food and fantastic staff mixed with the true rustic but chic seeing names this place a great cafe!
Dave C — Google review
Ground Up has been a Toowoomba staple for 10+ years, credited with raising the benchmark of Toowoomba’s coffee experience since opening. Wildly popular during the peak hours in the morning and lunchtime, due to the fact that it’s conveniently situated in the CBD, between Grand Central Shopping Centre and Ruthven Street. 100% recommend for coffee and breakfast, brunch to lunch, being mindful that it can look empty to 200% capacity in an eye-blink. Take-away orders are served outside, but you have to order inside. :) Enjoy ☕️
Mark O — Google review
You get the vibe even before you get there. On the street you can see black umbrellas down the lane with wooden tables. The walls are painted outside so you have the feeling you're in another country. Tastes are great, I ordered sweetcorn fritters. The salsa was good but portion size wasn't great. The fritters were overly browned but tasted was okay.
Deborah P — Google review
Beautiful alleyway Cafe. Blocked by sun so would be great spot during the summer. Staff are extraordinarily friendly, service was great, I only had a hot chocolate and hash browns for food but hot chocolate was exceptional. A lot of customers as well but food came out quickly. Highly recommend!
PNut ( — Google review
Starting with overall comment of “yum”. cool winter morning this place offers a warm cosy atmosphere with an excellent range of breakfast/brunch flavours to suite most palates. After much deliberation, we drilled the menu down to 4 options but went with the hangover rosti with pulled pork, and the chilli scamble (see pics for your drool inducing vibes). Small critics would involve the need for an extra poached egg on the rosti dish to allow the creamy yoke to balance out the salty tang of the pulled pork and a little more whipped feta to ease and compliment the delicious fresh chilli on the scram. Just being picky though, this place is a winner. cheers.
Beau C — Google review
"This cafe is a gem! The food and coffee are top-notch, and the laneway setting adds a touch of artistry. The atmosphere is great, and the food is absolutely delicious. The coffee is the highlight of my day - it's that good!" highly recommend

First time Toowoomba visit, googled best coffee, landed here, google did not lie. Rustic little alley shop reminiscent of Melbourne. Breadless bowl was divine. Brekky Burger bested her, 1/2 to go. As for the coffee…. come and find out yourself.

Amazing food with full of flavours. Great atmosphere and ambience to dine in. We ordered muesli and bacon bagel with sriracha sauce. Online ordering available in every table as well. Parking is a struggle during peak times even though there are lots of street parking available.
Athira M — Google review
Very warm n welcoming atmosphere. Easy to get a table probably because its Monday. Very attentive staff n super friendly. Service was quick. Big breakfast with salmon instead of bacon. Salmon well presented in a tiny cup which was a great value for money. Carefully cooked poached eggs which were very delicious. Caramel chocolate slice was thick n rich in chocolate with caramel filling inside. I wish the desserts menu was also included in the menu. Lots of options for dine in: outdoor, indoor, alfresco, etc. Parking might be a hassle as its near queens park though there is lots of street parking available just outside of cafe.
Prabesh B — Google review
Very calm, welcoming cafe. Good atmosphere and lighting. The staff are very polite and attentive. The food was good, I got an eggs Benedict and Mocha but the yolk doneness for the 3 poached eggs i had was somewhat inconsistent. Two were hard yolk, one was jammy. Otherwise everything else was great and would recommend this cafe. Plus any cafe that gives me something other than a butter knife to cut toast is great.
Tasi J — Google review
Had a lovely late breakfast here. Excellent food and service. Most recommended. Our table was the meaning of the universe and everything.

Charming atmosphere & friendly, efficient staff. My rice pudding with creme brulee & apple & date compote was Divine! A bonus to find a gluten free breakfast option that wasn't eggs. Thank you for that. Very much appreciated. 🌻

I had the Parkhouse Breakfast—Great option, it was all delicious! The waitresses were attentive and friendly!
Stephanie H — Google review
My wife found the Park House Cafe and we and our friends gave them a try Ordered: the benedict, bagel sandwich’s, and the standard, organic coffee, sun tea The food and preparation may have been simple BUT our meal was absolutely delicious and so enjoyed. I had ordered fried eggs and the server asked how I wanted the egg yolks (no other server has asked me in the past); now I know to mention my choice when I order fried eggs again. Our service was friendly, helpful, and the meal was nicely plated and they also have outdoor seating. Definitely give Park House Cafe a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Ate here a year ago and the food was great. Went back the weekend and not sure what has changed. My son had the nuggets and he could not eat them, we passed them to other at the table and they all gave them 2/10. My girl had the nachos and I had to give her my burger, because again it was not good. Service and atmosphere was fantastic, but not sure we will be going back

Perfect Vegetarian Pasta and the best coffee. 1st time here and will be returning! Highly recommend. Tucked away from the bustle of Herries is this treasure and whilst the decor is dated, the service and food is second to none.

Went for dinner with the family - was treated to excellent meals that we just had to share! As well as fantastic drinks and great service
Caitlyn W — Google review
Went for my birthday breakfast and was disappointed. Waited for ages before order was taken even though saw multiple servers walking around doing nothing. Food was underseasoned and generally quite tasteless. I had the breakfast burger which had that horrid plastic sliced cheese that I wouldn't expect for the price paid. On a MACCAS burger ok yes fine but this no! Potato cakes were chunky, dry inside, no salt. Just a big lump of crushed potatoes skins and all formed into a cake shape. Poached eggs tiny. We weren't asked how we would like them poached. For such a lovely exterior the interior looked tired and dated. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Grand Central area, Piccolo Papà is a delightful haven for pizza lovers. This charming eatery specializes in authentic Neapolitan pizzas, crafted daily by hand and baked to perfection in a traditional wood-fired oven. Whether you choose to dine in and soak up the inviting atmosphere or take your meal home to share with loved ones, you're guaranteed an unforgettable experience.
Had a great experience at Piccolo Papa! I ordered the Putanesca and the Mamarella pizza—both were excellent. The pizza dough was perfectly chewy, the cheese was top quality, and the meatballs were delicious. The French fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The Putanesca pasta was absolutely amazing. My only (very subjective) complaint is the music choice—would love to hear modern Italian pop instead of American pop to match the vibe of the place. Overall, highly recommend for a delicious Italian meal!
Dominik W — Google review
The truffle gnocchi here was good — soft, well-cooked, and paired nicely with the sauce. It definitely hit the spot. That said, if you’re a real gnocchi lover and want something truly standout, I’d recommend also trying the gnocchi at 1889 Enoteca in Woolloongabba, which is hard to beat. I’d be keen to come back and try their pizza options, as they looked great coming out of the kitchen. Overall, a solid spot worth checking out.

My husband and I shared a delicious lamb pizza (pictured), while our daughter and son enjoyed a pasta dish each. The service was efficient and very friendly. The food and drinks were great, and we all enjoyed our experience there.

In Toowoomba for one evening and craving good Italian food, we booked a table at Piccolo Papa. We’d had lunch later than expected so entrees and desserts were not on the agenda. No matter, our mains of Veal Scallopini and Pasta Carbonara satisfied all cravings and left us both pleasantly full. If we find ourselves in Toowoomba again, a return visit is highly likely.
Martin C — Google review
Good place to eat, food was Ok and the service was pretty good. Paid almost $400 for 5 adults and a an infant. Tend to think that was a bit excessive but given they are in Grand Central and had lots of staff I guess overheads are high. The only improvement was the menu cannot be read easily, font style and size was hopeless. The bloke taking payment said they had monocles (magnifiers).... if that was the case the staff should have known and offered them, we were using mobiles to photograph the menu to read it.... they saw us doing that... poor effort! The only bad, and sneaks in by stealth.... you are asked to consider a tip when paying by card..... not a good look here in Oz and reason enough for me not to come back.

Fantastic pizza! Great menu, with some of the favourites and also some very luxe options. They are very generously sized, and incredibly delicious.
Rachael E — Google review
I booked about 10 days ahead to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Got a "please confirm booking" email about 3 days beforehand and got a confirmed email, of which I took a photo. Got to the restaurant and guess what? No booking. The first waitress was unsure what to do even when I showed her the confirmation of the booking, the second waitress took control and found us a table. Not a great start. Not a wide range of choices when compared to other Italian restaurants. Meal ordered and was very good. Big servings of seemingly "home made" rather than factory made food. Customers in and outside the restaurant all seemed happy but not the usual "family" vibe you get from Italian restaurants. Came to pay and it has an "add your tip" option. I said to the older cashier about the stuff up and no subsequent tip, and he just shrugged it off. A week later I get an email asking how was it. I gave them the heads up about the booking stuff up on our big occasion, and their reply was .......nothing, nothing at all. No apology, no "here's a discount or free meal", literally NOTHING.

Kajoku is a casual spot offering classic Japanese and Korean dishes, complete with tabletop grills and a bar. The restaurant is known for its unique desserts, such as the ChocoFry featuring deep-fried Korean snack ChocoPie served with vanilla ice cream. It's also a great place to enjoy Korean fried chicken and an impressive menu of Korean barbecue prepared for you to cook at your table.
Accompanied my friend to eat this cafe. The atmosphere very chill and spacious for 6 of us. The place quite near the plaza and Reject shop. The food was good and fulfilling. Eat Japanese curry, Korean rice cake ( Topokki) and also soy garlic glass noodle. They have single dish menu and also sharing menu. Dont worry if you decided to come alone. If you are a fan or wanted to try Japanese and korean food, feel free to try it here. Plus, they also have their own 노레방(Karaoke place) to enjoy. The service can be improve in future. As the order takes time a little bit. But again kudos to the staff on giving 100% effort to provide the best service. 감사함니다

What an experience, fantastic food and fantastic service. The food here was exceptional, from the beef strips to the tiniest grain of rice the flavor was there. I definitely recommend getting a bbq combo to try out your cooking skills on the hot plate, it sounds like a chore that you have to cook your own food and I understand that some people would definitely be turned off by that aspect but I think it's a perfect addition. It gives you something to do and a chance to wait and just talk to your table. Definitely get an entree though so you have something to chow on while you wait, but waiting will definitely not be too long. As soon as we pressed our button to order a waiter was at our table. The venue is quite small but they do what they can and it's not over crowded or anything like that so you get plenty of room to move around but the tables could be a little bigger. Overall I would recommend the spicy fried chicken, fried rice and the beef bbq combo. You get plenty of sides with it to mix and match and make your own little meals. Amazing food and a great experience, will definitely be returning and sharing this place with other friends.

What was once one of the top restaurants in town, is now outdated, and poor quality. The restaurant smells like an old barn house. Ordered chicken fried rice, very oily, rice was getting stuck in my tooth - when you allow it to dry and it’s not fresh. Flavour in chicken was strange. I like Korean food - it could be simple receipe, freshly made, and they taste good. But Kajoku is no longer the place in Toowoomba to dine at.
Romi S — Google review
We came here during the festival of the flowers. The restaurant is located upstairs. I have a feeling that the restaurant specialises in Korean BBQ as it seems like most people were having that. We instead chose a whole serve of fried chicken, sweet soy beef rice, sweet soy beef rice cakes, hot stone mix, spicy pork noodles, poached pork belly, and Tteok-Galbi. I think the most outstanding was the poached pork belly. It literally melts in your mouth. All other dishes were good but not extraordinary. Staff were friendly. The place was clean and tidy. It was a bit pricey for the serving size but considering we were in Toowoomba, I think this would be one of the better Korean restaurants.
Jonathan L — Google review
We chose to sit in the second dinning room on the floor but not an issue and gave us a little more privacy then the main area (no BBQ in this room). Staff spent time running us through the menu to help pick things to match out tastes. Food and sake could not be faulted, Spicy Korean Fried Chicken was amazing. Keen to come back and work my way through more of the menu.
Deker18 — Google review
Let me start by saying the menu/s here are extensive. Truly huge! Arguably, too long. Certainly for the indecisive type such as myself. Service is swift. No faffing about there but still super friendly. Service is requested via a buzzer. I'm a big fan of this concept, it's totally logical. If I need you, I'll let you know - why waste servers time walking around checking constantly? "Buzz for attention", I need this in my day to day life. So so so so many gins and whiskeys. Just so many! And part of me wonders why. Has anyone tried them all? And if you have, you may need an intervention... Honestly, a list this long gives me anxiety. What if my favourite whiskey in the world is on that list and I pick the wrong one? Like my future wife, would I even recognise her if I walked past her in the street? How many times might that have happened? How am I to know? For food I had the gyoza and a kara-agedon donburi. They used to do a tonkatsudon which I loved, but this was a close second. All the food was really delicious. Loved it and left feeling properly satisfied. After much deliberation and high anxiety I settled on a beer to drink, of which there a few, but nowhere near as many as the spirits, making the selection easier. For the most part, beer tastes like beer to me. Perhaps a sign I don't drink a lot of it. Ordering beer makes me feel blokey and tough, like a real man. I could use a few more hairs on my chest too. The yebisu beer had "premium" in the name which sold me. The word premium made me assume it was like the Heinz of baked beans but for beer. Can confirm it did indeed taste like beer and I liked it. A projector hangs from the ceiling in the main dining space, which I assume is for karaoke or post-work movie nights. Karaoke is, I assume based off everything else here, very good - but I had a bad experience one time with karaoke so I've not tried it myself.

There were 4 of us, midweek with no booking. We were given a table with no wait although the restaurant was fairly full. We ordered a share platter with other sides and drinks. Most of the food was fabulous, it was personal taste that some was a little bland. Staff were friendly and although busy took the time to explain the concept of BBQing at oue table. Overall a good experience and I'd definitely go back again.

Most exciting restaurant in Toowoomba - delicious food, nice atmosphere, great for large groups. Friendly and helpful staff. Price is pretty high, but is reasonable. If you take your friends to this restaurant, I can assure you that you will have a great night. They even offer Karaoke rooms as well after you have finished your meal.

Muller Bros is a casual dining establishment located in a historic structure from the early 1900s. It provides grilled meat options, a rooftop bar, and a courtyard for its patrons. From morning till late at night, this place remains lively and busy. Renowned for their Brazilian BBQ experience that includes two hours of flavorful sliced meats, Muller Bros also offers a convenient takeaway box option for those looking to grab a quick lunch.
Highly recommend amazing atmosphere. Great service good value for money. I enjoyed the specials. I love the rooftop bar. Lots of room for dancing and fun. The drinks menu is nice and the food is delicious. Thank you very much
Madie C — Google review
The food was SO good, I forgot to take more pictures as they kept bringing us different kinds of meat. We had the Brazilian Inspired Churrasco and it is worth every cent!! The chargrilled Pineapple was a winner and honestly ALL the meat was just perfect.
Nanette G — Google review
Great experience especially if you love meat! The only problem we had was the roof leaks as it's an old building but the table possibly should have been moved slightly so our jackets didn't get wet. Although vegetarian and understand this is a meat restaurant maybe a more inventive meal other than roast vegetables and haloumi might be nice or barramundi. But just a thought. Overall staff were friendly.

Awesome place, awesome food and the people here are the best. Had a great time here. Definitely will come back again. 100% recommended. 🥰

Went to their Cafe through the day THE GOOD staff very friendly and professional. The food all looked very fresh and was tasty and I was happy what I paid food wise THE BAD My milkshake was milk that had been vaguely threatened with chocolate syrup. Terrible. And at $6.50 shocking price. The tables are a high bar style so that may not suit the very young or very old. OVERALL stick with softdrinks or juices. But enjoy a friendly fresh meal while you wait for a bus.
Jason H — Google review
Outstanding service and an enormous selection of skewered meats carved fresh from the BBQ, right at your table. Go for the Churrasco option ($45) for two hours of all you can eat meaty goodness. Plus tasty chips and an excellent garden salad, but sauces are extra. Wide range of choices at the bar as well. Amazing location for a celebration or for bringing guests from out of town.

AlI enjoyed all the buzz at the Rooftop bar, we also had a lovely dinner in the dining room (except the too oily rigatoni) before progressing to the verandah for some nice cocktails 🍸 and other beverages 🍻🍷. I'll definitely be back 👍🏻

Went for our anniversary, booked in advanced for outside rooftop bar dinning experience, yet were placed inside. (Had high expectations from advertising. ) The Waitress said only other spot was on some back deck looked like a random smoking section, no bar acces no table decoration just park benches. Not classy at all, was horrible, opted to sit inside yet there were multiple free tables on the main deck, near bar that remained empty even after we left. ON THE OTHER HAND.. However the Food was delicious Drinks were great. Waitresses were friendly, but they all seemed to be very unsure of what they were doing, maybe all were just new. Would try again because of the great food and see if service improves

Fantastic experience at George Banks! The steak was cooked to perfection! Exactly how I asked. The space is absolutely beautiful with a great atmosphere. Special mention to Noah for his excellent service. What a lovely young man! Friendly, helpful, and full of energy. I’ll definitely be back!

Booked for dinner on a very busy Friday night. Lucy provided a warm welcome as did the other wait staff. The food was very good and I had one of the best Fillet Steaks I’ve ever had. My friend had the Roast Chicken and we shared the delicious Wagyu Fat Roast Potatoes and a Slaw, all washed down with an excellent bottle of McLarenvale Tempranillo Grenache. We also met the Manager who apologised for the delay in getting our meal out due to a new menu and staff absences. It’s the second time I’ve been here and will definitely return when next in Toowoomba.

Superb lunch - incredible food, handcrafted by Chef Catherine with amazing care and attention and truly exceptional flavours!! 🤩 Beef Carpaccio 2 ways - Asian and Traditional (with salads to match) 🙏🏻 Even the bread was AMAZING 😁 Our drinks (Negroni, Aperol Spritz & Yuzu Royale) were prompt and perfectly made - our hostess - en point and enhanced our dining experience. Loved that she offered plenty of ice cold water for our table. (I just wish I had asked her name - she was x-o-lent) Lucky I decided to take my UK guests to do a ‘recy’ as the website said ‘open at 4pm’. Well worth the drive from Bulimba - I can’t wait to return! This will definitely be a lunch - long remembered by ALL!! Well done George Banks Team 🙏🏻

My wife and I had dinner here on the Sunday night after our wedding. During dinner, we were discussing whether it was one of the top 10, 5 or 3 meals we’ve ever had. We agreed it was the best meal we have had together, by a mile. The 24hr braised lamb shoulder was easily the stand out for me and the pork belly bites for my wife. The staff were efficient and friendly, food was exceptional and the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. It was an incredible start to our honeymoon.

Hello Harry The Burger Joint in Toowoomba is the ultimate spot for a laid-back meal with friends, catering to both meat lovers and vegans alike. Nestled away on Ruthven Street, this hidden gem offers an array of delicious burgers, including standout vegetarian options that are sure to impress even the most discerning palates. Their veggie-lover burger features a delightful combination of grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions, and candied pumpkin—perfect for those seeking something unique.
Second time visiting, it was great! Went for the Fat Bastard this time as it was a double patty. The first visit I had a single patty, which left me wanting more. The Fat Bastard has Mayo, ketchup and mustard…it is very saucy. It’s a great burger. Personally I think you could lose the mayo and it would be even better. The patties were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Very quick and friendly service.
Steve M — Google review
Had a great feed at Hello Harry’s Toowoomba. Tried the limited edition Korean Spicy BBQ Burger, the USA burger, and loaded fries with brisket—everything was awesome. The Korean burger was super saucy (in the best way), dripping with flavour just how I like it. Loaded fries were crispy and packed with toppings. Only letdown was the mozzarella sticks. They didn’t look anything like the photo on the app—looked frozen and mass-produced. Taste wasn’t terrible, but the appearance really put me off. Aside from that, the atmosphere was great, service was friendly and fast, and the burgers were top-notch. Will definitely be back for more!

All scales are out of 5 🍩🍩🍩🍩 (Flavour scale) Honestly, food actually tastes pretty good. The chicken parmi is small but full of flavour. 💰💰(Value for money) Value for what you get is it average, maybe a bit cheaper than your niche burger joints in the big cities 🫃(Portion size for big boy) Portion size is pretty small for what you pay, so if you want a big feed get ready to order extra 🌹 (Date night?) Would not bring a date, I mean it’s a burger joint 🤷‍♀️
Jeremy L — Google review
Given the limited food options in the area, we decided to give Hello Harry a try. Unfortunately, it didn’t stand out from your average pub fare. The rump steak was overcooked, tough, and rubbery—and to make matters worse, we almost bit into what looked like a piece of metal scourer. The chips were decent, nothing special. The chicken wings were dry and tasted like they'd been reheated multiple times. Burgers were passable but nothing memorable. Overall, the experience was just average at best. If you're in the area, it might be better to explore other dining options.

Delicious burgers! I had The Pretender (plant based) and my friend had the Aussie Burger. Both meals were very fresh and sooo yummy! Highly recommend!
Melanie D — Google review
I recently tried "Hello Harry" and had their halal certified beef burger called "Aussie". I requested them to remove bacon. The beef patty was tasty with a good meaty flavour. It came with a fried egg, lettuce and beetroot. Personally, I didn't think the beetroot quite matched the taste but overall the burger was delicious. It would be nice if they offered options other than bacon (or compensate/substitute it).
Anas J — Google review
I’ve never left a bad review before but unfortunately felt compelled to this time. We just ordered takeaway burgers and chips. The burgers were greasy and honestly tasted awful. No fresh items and nothing, other than the patties was recognisable. Even though we were very hungry, we couldn’t finish them and the chips were seasoned with “chicken” salt…something we hate. Perhaps it was our mistake not to mention we wanted “normal” salt but the option was never offered. Our experience was totally underwhelming and disappointing so we won’t be returning.
Catherine J — Google review
We love Hello Harry. The food is great and with plenty of bargain discount vouchers out there it’s extremely affordable. It’s hidden down a little alley off of Ruthven St. There’s heaps of parking during the week in the middle of the road and at 6pm it’s really quiet, so no wait and fast service. If you’re looking for a great burger give them a go.

Urth Cafe & Co is a delightful family-run establishment located just outside the bustling Toowoomba CBD, perfect for those seeking a cozy spot to enjoy delicious meals. Known for its all-day breakfast offerings, including their famous Baked Eggs and the unique Bad Benny croissant, this cafe caters to various dietary preferences with clean eating and gluten-friendly options. The inviting atmosphere welcomes both pets and families, featuring outdoor seating that can be sheltered from rain.
I tried the Bad Bunny Benedict at Urth Café and it’s definitely one of the top eggs Benedicts I’ve ever had. The buttery croissant, creamy avocado, perfectly cooked eggs, and silky hollandaise all paired beautifully with the sweet kick of chilli jam. Everything just worked so well together — a clever and delicious twist on a classic. It even won the award for Best Eggs Benedict in Toowoomba in 2019, and it absolutely deserves it. I’d happily come back again just for this dish!
Linh N — Google review
Urth cafe is one of the best cafes I’ve been to but the location of it, is the flaw. Urth cafe has many different options which is really good but is the portions enough? Firstly the area is pretty nice. It’s nicely decorated and lit. It’s pet and kid friendly. But to find a parking is very hard. Unless you walk from somewhere else the location does not have a great parking if it’s your first time. Belive me I struggled. However the store was still really nice and quite spacious. The food was really good, some of it needed slightly more flavour. However it was still good. The time for the food was longer than expected even when it’s not busy. So if ur planning to go here make sure you have a long list of things to chat with friends or fam or be prepared for the weight. The portion sizes was not as expected. With the burrito bowl it looks quite big but actually it had less then thought. Although it may look big it wasn’t. Especially for the price of $19 it’s more like a $16 dish cuz it’s smaller. And the wrap was although long it was not very full. Disclaimer if u go makes sure to get something actually worth the price. In addition , the workers were nice. Really friendly I enjoyed my experience with them. Overall, cafe was good needs some improvement but Overal really good. 8/10 would recommend
Tina C — Google review
The highlight was my coffee. Loved their coffee roast as it made my long black very much how i like it. Took away matcha latte which was also very very good. Highly recommend. The big breakfast however was not that great. Poached eggs with high vinegar smell ruined it though it was perfectly made. Breads were actually very nice n loved their spread. It is one of very few best breads that i have tasted in many cafes so far. Bacon was a big disappointment. Grill probably was not cleaned before bacon was cooked or might be something else as I could see the burns in bacon clearly. Serving staff n kitchen must check it before serving. Beans could be improved as well. It was not that great. However, the place has lovely little atmosphere. Inside dine in, alfresco n outside dining with some greenery. Finding parking might be tricky if u r not local or don’t travel to that side of town much often. Parking in hopper centre n walking to the cafe from back could be best option.

Urth is more than just a place to dine; it’s a haven of delightful experiences that tantalize the senses and soothe the soul. The atmosphere is imbued with warmth and kindness, creating an inviting space that feels like home to everyone who steps through its doors. The hospitality is consistently exceptional, with every visit leaving a lasting impression of care and attentiveness. The culinary journey at Urth is a joyous adventure, filled with vibrant flavours and fresh ingredients. Having had the pleasure to dine here multiple times, the menu proves to be an exploration worth savouring. Each dish arrives piping hot, overflowing with flavour, while the salads are crisp, fresh, and brimming with vitality. Beyond the delectable meals, there’s an undeniable charm to Urth that is encapsulated in the aroma of its coffee. Stepping inside, the rich scent of freshly brewed coffee envelops you, acting as a soul-soother and setting the tone for the experience ahead.

Visited for breakfast with our host family before heading back to Brisbane. This place caters well to families with games and other activities for kids to occupy their time while waiting for food, speaking of which ours was about 30 minutes. My family's order: * Savoury mince, $14 - homemade mince, thick toast * Mushroom lovers, $17 - sauteed mushrooms, butter, thyme, garlic, spinach, poached egg, feta, Turkish toast * Kids sausage and eggs (scrambled), $8 * Skinny latte mug, $5.50 * Vanilla milkshake, $8 My savoury mince had the option of adding a poached egg for $3 and I was going to order this but the staff clarified "so you want two eggs?" Turns out the meal already comes with a poached egg, which wasn't mentioned in the menu description. Bonus ☺ OTOH prices for some items were higher than the menu shown on their website, though it's hard to tell when the latter was last updated. In any case all still quite reasonable and all up it was a nice relaxing meal over some enjoyable food, and that's always a win in my books.

One of the best cafés I’ve ever been to! The coffee is fantastic with plenty of options — I especially loved the condensed milk latte, absolutely delicious. Table service is a lovely touch and makes the whole experience feel a bit more special. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, and the café is dog-friendly, which is a big plus! The breakfast menu is impressive — creative, well thought-out, and full of amazing vegan options. I had the pumpkin dish and tried a few others — everything was incredibly tasty. The drinks and service are ALWAYS excellent - maybe the best cappuccino in Toowoomba? Condensed milk coffee and iced earl grey vanilla latte are also particular stand outs. The food is unfortunately ALWAYS underwhelming - sounds good, looks good, tastes mid. I’ve tried multiple menu items over the last couple of years.

My absolute favourite cafe in Toowoomba they are always busy which I think says it’s good just by that. Despite being busy the food is out very quickly and coffee is delicious I love this place. Just had the chilli scram and it was amazing 🤩

The food and coffee I had here was great. The sea salt coffee was well balanced with that touch of sweetness underneath and a light salty foam on top that made each sip really smooth and addictive. Easily one of the best specialty coffees I’ve had in a while. The Korean chicken roll was full of flavour, and layered with that sweet mango chutney, slaw and kewpie. The bun was soft but held everything together well

Surprising to see a great cafe so close to the Toowoomba bus transit centre! Cheerful staff, great quiet location , gives out good vibes! Except they have still canny locate my much missed dirty chai with the real chai with the real cardamom pods, clove…. Toowoomba gives me a good feel. Junktion Coffee House is a hidden gem that offers authentic, homemade Vietnamese cuisine and exceptional coffee. The menu features a variety of Vietnamese delights such as pho, bao buns, spring rolls, rice paper rolls, banh mi, and their renowned Vietnamese iced coffee. This spot is highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable culinary experience. In addition to the delectable food offerings, Junktion Coffee House also serves as a cozy café with an array of cakes and coffees.
In Toowoomba city, ran in for a quick takeaway. Looks like father and son working tonight, lovely people. Got Bun Bo Hue, spicy beef noodles. We didn’t get the herbs and salad on the side like we do in other places, But, the meat was generous and so tender. Good job!

Probably the best Vietnamese food in Toowoomba. I have tried others and I find myself coming back to Junktion. I love their beef pho as it comes with beef balls, and loaded with meat as well. Their bahn mi are good too, crispy pork being my favourite. Don’t skip on their vermicelli bowls as they are loaded with toppings and vegetables. 5/5 highly recommended
EJ S — Google review
We made our first visit to Junktion Coffee House to have some lunch, arriving late morning on a Saturday. There were still several tables available (seating is available indoors and outside), so we found a spot and planned our order. Service was friendly and helpful, with both a young boy and older lady (mum and son, perhaps) providing satisfactory assistance. They were more than happy to accommodate our request to dine-in but also include a takeaway component to be eaten later. Even better, they waited until we were close to leaving to prepare the rest of the order, ensuring it didn't sit at our feet for 30 minutes before departure. Our meals, comprising of Pho (1 x chicken and 1 x beef), a Crispy Pork Bahn Mi, and two Bao buns (1 x Crispy Pork and 1 x Lemongrass Chicken) were all excellent. Everything offered great flavour, the helpings of meat were substantial, and it was all hot and fresh. Some more coriander in the Pho would have been awesome, but that's a small observation and purely personal preference. Lastly, but importantly, prices were reasonable and aligned with those we regularly pay around Brisbane. Overall, Junktion Coffee House was a winner, with service and food all ticking the boxes. We left satisfied and are sure to return again.

I have been meaning to write a review for this place for a while as it is almost a weekly meal in our house. We are long-time customers and have made our way through most of the menu, mostly for lunch and dinner. Good amount of gluten-free options, very good Pho and always service with smile. Very helpful staff and food is always quick to arrive. Both takeaway and dine in is consistent in quality - we have never had a meal that wasn't delicious and filling! Thank you Junktion, see you next week!

Chimac Toowoomba is a delightful Korean fried chicken haven that promises to satisfy your cravings with its extensive menu. Perfect for lunch, you can indulge in options like the chicken mayo rice bowl or crispy Korean fried chicken paired with chips, all at an affordable price. The restaurant also offers a variety of flavors, from classic to spicy garlic soy and sweet and sour. With generous portion sizes and quick service, it's no wonder this spot has garnered praise for its delicious offerings.

Nice and chic Korean resto in Toowoomba city centre. Almost empty restaurant when we went. The kids wanted subway and we were hoping to have a sit down lunch here together but the staff said outside food is disallowed and asked us to order takeaway instead . Food is simple, we ordered chicken and rice with mayo all over.
Rahul G — Google review
It's been a while since I've visited Chimac - before COVID I believe. It was a frequent choice of ours back then, with a great operator. We tried them again primarily due to their competitor across the road being temporarily closed. Walking in for a takeaway, a little bit of a language barrier evident as payment was initially declined but the lady serving me nonchalantly carried on her business. I had to insist that payment occurred and money had changed hands. My first thought was "geez this is expensive" - just shy of $60 for two half serves of chicken and a side of chips. This lady scurried over to where I was waiting a few minutes later with $7.20 in cash as takeaway is apparently cheaper. The chicken was perfectly fine, and crunchy - I had yangnyeom and my wife the garlic soy. The stated serving size was 300gm and both ours were quite generous tipping the scales at over 350gm each. I'm going to comment on the ludicrous price of chips - $12.90 for 250gm. These chips are identical to those many other local outlets use, and one of those retails at $7.50 for 500gm. I won't be purchasing those next time. Not quite the Chimac I remember, but service was swift and efficient - I can imagine they do well during busy periods.

The atmosphere here is fantastic, and all the food is affordable and delicious. The service is quick too, so you don’t have to wait long for your order. I highly recommend the garlic soy fried chicken and beef bulgogi tteokbokki. For dessert, try the cute fish-shaped bungeoppang – a delightful Korean treat!

Excellent, excellent, excellent. One of the greatest Korean places I've been too. I'm always a huge fan of Korean cuisine and this restaurant is definitely up there. Great portion sizes and fast service but the food is where it shines. The beef bulgogi rice bowl had an amazing taste with a perfect beef to rice ratio. My partner got a chicken mayo rice bowl and I had to try it for myself, the chicken had a great crunch and a solid fried flavor, not a dirty or too oily taste. And it also had a great ratio for chicken to rice. We also got a yang nyum fried chicken to share and it was definitely the highlight, it had an excellent taste and a sweet/spicy sauce that coated the outside of the chicken while it maintained its crunchiness. Also came with a salad and chips. Definitely get what you pay for and more. Will be back and will be bringing more people next time.
Cameron C — Google review
Good Korean food at reasonable prices. We had the spicy sweet chilli Korean fired chicken and bulgogi noodles. The chicken was crispy with fairly tender meat and the sauce was tasty with a good little spice kick. However the batter on the chicken was a bit too dense for my liking. The bulgogi noodles had a good flavour profile but I felt the meat lacked enough flavour to elevate the dish. Service was good as staff were friendly and ambience was nice.

My go-to restaurant in Toowoomba City. Delicious Korean food in a beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend the Yangneom Fried chicken and the Spicy Pork & Squid Rice bowl. Friendly staff and the price is not bad. An excellent place to take your friends to if you have to go out for a nice dinner. The Federal Hotel in Toowoomba City is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The modern bistro offers a variety of dishes including seafood, schnitzels, and char-grilled steaks. It's a place where friends gather, families relax, and everyone has a good time. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, especially during events like the Spring Flower Fest. With panoramic windows providing great views, the airy pub serves up classic favorites with friendly service at reasonable prices.
Loved the night out with family, this place is amazing especially the strawberry cocktail.🍓

Lovely meal. Lamb cutlets good, veges fresh and cooked to perfection. Cheesecake was beautiful. Nicely presented and Service was friendly and efficient.

This establishment offers delicious senior meals at reasonable prices. The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere. The convenient location makes it easy to enjoy a meal out. And for a small additional cost, seniors can indulge in a delightful dessert. This is a wonderful dining experience.

The beers tasted funny 🤔 could be imagining things or it could be the tap lines. Over priced for a mediocre pub meal. A great example of how location is a crucial aspect in running a business.

I recently dined at the Federal Hotel in Toowoomba with Robert Young, the boss of R&D Ventures, and we had a very nice meal overall. Robert, a man of great appetite and fine taste, indulged in two dozen oysters Kilpatrick and one dozen oysters natural, followed by a lamb shank and a risotto that he said was absolutely delicious. For me, he graciously ordered a full rack of Texas ribs, which were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The pint of Guinness was fresh and satisfying, and the young lady serving us was absolutely delightful—friendly, attentive, and full of energy. The only downside was the bill, which came out to be about twice as much as we'd usually expect for a meal like this. That was a bit unfortunate, but it didn’t dampen our spirits too much. All in all, a jolly good time!

You really don't forget exemplary conduct by a staff member at a licensed venue. Last night, I gracefully witnessed a gentleman named "Adam" keeping his composure under a tirade of abuse by two patrons in the gaming area. Despite the heinous, reprehensible nature of the vitriol, this refined young man remained unfazed by the insults and terrible situation he was confronted with. Adam is a highly intelligent, articulate person that demonstrated unflinching true professionalism under scathing eviseration. I was humbly impressed with his remarkable, unwavering demeanour and in my opinion displayed magnanimous couage; a pivotal asset to his employers/management under such pressure. Well done Adam.

Nestled in the heart of Toowoomba, Potters Hotel & Restaurant offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience. Open since February 2017, this boutique hotel features 54 modern rooms that exude a fresh aesthetic with clean lines and an inviting color palette. Guests can choose from king or twin rooms, as well as spacious two-bedroom apartments, some equipped with kitchens for added flexibility. The hotel's prime location next to Grand Central Shopping Centre makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.
My stay at Potter’s was wonderful and accommodating. The restaurant was fantastic and service was always so friendly. The convenience of the restaurant on site made meals easy, and the washing amenities added extra convenience. Thank you very much to Michael and Potter’s Team for such a pleasant stay, I would definitely recommend the restaurant and accommodation.

I travelled to Toowoomba to attend a funeral and visit the Carnival of Flowers. I’d stayed at Potters with two friends eight years ago and enjoyed the experience. The Hotel is well located with plenty of car parking. My room was on the First Floor, with basic facilities, a large shower and was clean and quiet. I dined in the restaurant and thought the service by Michael was fantastic. His enthusiasm and consideration was great and lifted my mood. I left before breakfast but would like to say Thanks Michael!

We had such a wonderful stay at Potters Hotel & Restaurant. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect, making it easy to get around. And the food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend and will definitely return.

A perfect hotel. Wonderful staff - friendly and helpful. Lovely rooms. The restaurant was fantastic. Totally recommended - breakfast and dinner. Such lovely, hard working, service and wonderful food. A mixture of 5-star and homeliness!

This hotel is in a great location with good off street parking and clean rooms. It had a lovely outside area with plants. Unfortunately, the bed needs a new mattress, it was uncomfortable. The food was not up to the price charged. Too much dressing on the salad, raw tuna in the bowl, which it does not state on the menu, and the tacos were greasy and not nice. I don't like giving a bad review, but I hope you can improve on the above.

Outstanding. We appreciated the small touches- Sunday snooze, selection of pillows, tea towel and dishwashing liquid plus the supremely comfortable, immaculate and quiet room. Potters was a wonderful base to explore the flower festival. Thank you, Amanda

Tapestry Bar at Fitzy’s is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Toowoomba's vibrant nightlife. As you step inside, you're greeted by its charming timber-clad design that exudes both comfort and elegance. This inviting space is perfect for unwinding with friends over drinks, whether you're sharing crispy chicken wings or indulging in their delectable gnocchi featuring pumpkin, spinach, and sage butter sauce.

Great bar. Great selection of beers on tap
Glen G — Google review
Popped into Fitzy's and it wasn't too crowded or loud. The dark lighting and candles on the tables created a very nice cosy atmosphere. Ordered a Kilcoy sirloin steak, medium rare, with vegetable greens and the crumbed haloumi entre. I've never had crumbed haloumi, and I personally preferred a fried haloumi, but I have no complaints for the taste. The Greek yogurt sauce it came with was great and my only complaint is there wasn’t more of it. The steak was amazing. Perhaps it was cooked to medium, I'm no steak connoisseur, but it wasn't chewy at all and the fat was rendered and easy to down. Vegetable greens were perfectly cooked.
Dominik W — Google review
The service was great. The ambience was on point with the music cruisy and the perfect level. The food is very much pub grub but great quality. I’ll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, go here just for that! Bar looks old, dark, and has super fun beers on tap! Even my favourites - sours! $18 pints for those however. But knowledgeable and helpful staff. I go everytime I'm in Toowoomba.

Staff was friendly greeting us when we walked in but that was pretty much it. Didn't really gave much suggestions when we ask about the cocktail selections. The drink we ordered were acceptable, if not quite on the sweet side (Mai Tai & The Reed). Great selection of draft beers on tap. Haven't tried any food yet due to time constraints but I'll make sure to put it up here :)

Their lunch menu offers a delectable combination of curry, rice, and garlic naan at $14.99 for dine-in and $12.99 for takeaway.
I visited this restaurant over the weekend and was welcomed with warm hospitality by the lovely and attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious—the Karahi Chicken and Mango Lassi are a must-try! They were kind enough to offer a complimentary serving of their flavorful biryani, which was a delightful surprise. The ambiance was wonderful, with Indian music playing softly in the background, creating an authentic and cozy atmosphere. Weekends can get quite busy, so I’d recommend making a reservation before visiting. Overall, a fantastic dining experience—I’ll definitely be coming back!

The best of everything. I usually stick with a goat curry, the flavours is great, ask them to make it a little more spicy than medium and you will not be disappointed. They will let you taste it before to see if it’s to your liking. Pair this with a nice Shiraz and you have a perfect meal. I have been here a few times and the meals are 5 star. 💫

A great family run business that were rated high and deserve it. Food was made quickly and delivered fresh and timely. Flavours were authentic and left us full but wanting to eat more if only for the Taste. Thank you.

This is a quality Indian Restaurant with lovely authentic food. The Madras Prawns were lovely with saffron rice and garlic and cheese Naan. Madras curries are milder than the others. We also had the Bombay Beef which is a little more spicy but the beef was so tender and melted in your mouth. We also got to taste the butter chicken which is also a crowd favourite and it was quite spicy for a butter chicken but I enjoyed it. The moscato wine goes well as with a little sweetness it cuts the impact of the spicier meals and is a good choice with these meals we had. I advise booking like we did and we arrived at opening with a 6pm booking which we were very pleased with as it gets quite crowded later which is testament to the quality restaurant that it is.

The flavors in each dish were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The lamb cutlet was cooked to perfection! The chicken shish here is the best I’ve ever had. “I loved the vegan options available. Highly recommended👌👌👌 Excited to go back again happy new year. 🥳

I think the management has changed here from the last time we dined (before COVID). I remember how flavourful and authentic the food used to be here and would be our must-eat spot whenever we visited Toowoomba. It was worth the price and would leave very satisfied. Not worth the price anymore, in the name of 'sauces' you'll just receive yogurt and chips are just frozen french fries. We ordered shish XL and for that price it only got 3 shish, little bit of garden salad, small-size chips, 3 piece pickles, 3 small triangles flatbread and yogurt (sauces) If I compare, for less price in Sydney, you will get 3 shish, unlimited leb bread, hummus and babaganoush (sauces), 1 kebbeh, 2 falafels, tabouleh or fatoush, free mix pickles (bowl full of radish, chilli, olives, gherkins), garlic dip, chilli dip, tea. Their serves are generous and its the same across all middle-eastern restaurants. I know we shouldn't compare but what is so special about this restaurant that has the prices so high. I don't mind paying high price but the food should be worth it, needs flavour and quality ingredients. There was nothing 'wow' about the entree or main meals we ordered, there were no presentation to make the dishes look appealing, service was average. The girl just received our order and brought the dishes. She never came back to check or anything. I wouldn't recommend as they really need to up their game

Food here is so good. We keep coming back. Last visit the beef mince skewers were a little undercooked. We didn't bother complaining. Everything else food-wise was perfect. Sometimes the servers are a little forgetful/ get orders wrong, & sometimes they play the happy bday song way too long, but the addictive food & reasonable prices make this place a favorite.

Great food and friendly staff. Awesome service. Kept checking on us in case we needed more. Delicious selection on their Banquet. Tasty Turkish coffee
Matthew S — Google review
The food was delicious, but it was let down by poor service - they forgot our 1 and only drink, forgot to put haloumi in the wrap, forgot the baba ghanoush, the flat breads came out 10 minutes after the meal which needed them for dipping... But, it was delicious, so... 🤔🤷‍♂️
Andy P — Google review
Very dark lighting, food was good. Slow service. We waited 20 minutes to get the menu after being seated. Waited another 5 minutes to get water to drink. Once the order was placed, food wasn’t too late to arrive. Really happy with the size and toppings of pizza. Platter was good as always.
Prabesh B — Google review
We had a 😞 terrible experience 😞 at this restaurant during the Spring Festival. The fried rice was cold and clearly not fresh, and the pasta was so hard it was unpleasant to eat. The girls serving food admitted it wasn’t fresh, but when the owner came, he rudely dismissed our concern, saying 😡“we prepared food this way, thank you” and then took the food away without offering any solution. I also mentioned that we come here casually, but he didn’t care about customers and just said “we are very busy.” That is no excuse for serving poor quality food with such arrogance. We drove all the way from Gatton, wasting our time, fuel, and money, only to be treated with stale food and rude service. Extremely disappointing and definitely not worth visiting again.

Great beer, service and atmosphere. The vibe is upscale casual, which I like. They have my favorite little creatures rogers amber ale on tap, which I appreciate. Good and friendly service. Loses a star because they impose around a 1% surcharge on card transactions. Almost everyone today pays with card, so they should just set a proper menu price and do away with all the silly hidden surcharges, similar to what every business already does with GST.

Visited during the week for lunch, service and atmosphere was excellent, a few different areas with a different vibe that you can choose from, which was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Two of us ordered medium rare steaks but both of them arrived very close to well done, still juicy and tasty but not a hint of pink… definitely not medium rare, apart from that, highly recommended.

We didn't have a booking, so took a cute booth table in the bar. The bar menu was limited, but adequate. Plenty of GF options. We ordered a GF schnitzel with GF fries. The youngers in the party drank mocktails which were a hit. The salads were delicious and the portions very generous, however the prices were on the higher side for pub-fare.

Was looking forward to a fantastic rare night out at Fitzy’s . Arrived 7.45 & we ordered 350g rib eye & eye fillet. Staff were ok to say the least but both the steaks were very chewy & advise the waitress & was offered one wine , wee accepted . Then stayed on as friends arrived & we all enjoyed to the wee hours , upon leaving I noticed the taxi queue & asked to return to the toilet but was refused entry.. very abrupt bouncers after spending $360 I found this disgraceful & very poor service, after all I’m no teenager or young at 65 & nature comes more frequently. The place its self is beautiful clean & has a few choices to have fun . Ps the steak was cooked as requested but suggested a change of butcher, suggested Cole’s seriously disappointed regards Frank

(Pictured is Barramundi & Prawns) Went here for my 21st birthday on a Sunday. It was very nice and quiet, and service was very fast and polite. Drinks menu is MASSIVE which is really good for anyone who doesn't know what to drink. Very very good Espresso Martini's (topped with powdered chocolate which was surprisingly tasty). My partner had the Pork Belly for entree which was mainly just fat and skin but he loved the dried carrot that comes on the side salad. I got the Crumbed Camembert for my entree which I thoroughly enjoyed, I was expecting a whole wheel of cheese but only got half which was plenty. The bread and side salad paired nicely with the warm gooey Camembert and the crumb on it wasn't too thick or thin. For mains my partner had the Carbonara which he also loved, it was very flavourful and creamy but had really big pepper bits throughout which threw him off. I had the Barramundi & Prawns as my main. The fish was sadly overcooked and very dry for a dish that's meant to be juicy and fresh, the prawns were amazing though and were very nice was the garlic butter that they are cooked in. The mash for my main was really lumpy but tasted great, the veg is also steamed instead of boiled which I didn't mind but they could have been steamed for atleast 3 minutes more. Overall we had a very good night and I highly recommend The Seasons for a date night or private celebration. The total cost for 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 2 mains was $130 for 2 people. Menu is fairly expensive but the food is filling.

Food was average. Nothing special. Apart from the seafood platter we also ordered chicken pasta and a bruschetta. The drink was tasteless. I didn’t took much photo because I wasn’t feeling it after trying the drinks. The pasta was good according to my son it was a big serving. The bruschetta would have been better if the balsamic vinegar was drizzled all over the bread and not on the plate! The seafood platter is not bad. The scallops and the Moreton bay bug was my favourite.

I’ve been to The Seasons a few times prior to COVID and always rated it quite highly, but unfortunately, it seems to have dropped a notch, in my opinion. The service was great—attentive, friendly, and professional. The staff really carried the experience and made the visit reasonably pleasant overall. However, the ambience left a lot to be desired. While the restaurant presents itself as an intimate and quiet place, that wasn’t the case during our visit. Unfortunately, we can’t control other patrons, but the atmosphere was disrupted by a few obnoxiously loud diners, which really took away from the intended vibe. As for the food—it was okay. Not bad, but not particularly memorable either, especially considering the price point. For what you're paying, you'd expect something a bit more refined or stand out. All in all, it's a decent evening thanks to the team working there, but The Seasons isn't quite what it used to be.

I took my partner there last night and had the seafood Tower for two. It was bloody delicious perfect for the two of us we couldn’t even fit desert in that’s good filling it was and I’d like to say the service of the people that work there were absolutely wonderful and so nice I would recommend this restaurant to anyone to go there and every time I’m in Toowoomba I will be going back there and I’d like to say the people that write bad reviews on this place you guys are snobby nose people and don’t know what good food was unless it smacked you in the face. handsdown I would rate this restaurant probably One of the greatest restaurants Toowoomba thank you, season for having us last night

We had delicious sandwiches, cold/ hot canapés and gourmet desserts. The food package was well priced with five star service. They catered for gluten and dairy free. In hindsight I would have preferred a drinks package with barista made coffee over a tea & coffee station however it was something I overlooked. Pork belly for breakfast. This was one of the gluten free options and was well presented and cooked. The rice was almost perfect ( I can be picky with rice), the egg was perfectly fried with the yolk still soft enough to blend into the rice. Would definitely have this again. Happy to have a different option that includes rice for breakfast 😋 Our food came out quickly and service was friendly.

Beautiful venue. Staff pleasant but did not deliver cutlery with the meals and had to be reminded to get some. No condiments offered. Food and drinks were only lukewarm warm. Breakky in amongst the nursery is so beautiful . . The eggs beni was amazing just different . . Chunky salmon not shaved and loads of sauce . .which it needed as it would have been a touch dry otherwise. . But lovely food otherwise . .
Bec R — Google review
I ordered the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, but when the dish arrived, it looked very plain and unappetizing. The salmon was barely noticeable — definitely not the usual pink slices you'd expect. Instead, it was homemade smoked salmon, scraped off the skin (which was still attached), and the chef didn’t mention how it was smoked (in a smoker or just in the oven). These methods produce very different taste and texture, and unfortunately, this one didn’t impress. There was hardly any salmon on the plate, which made the dish even more disappointing. The waitress seemed unfamiliar with the food and couldn’t answer basic questions. About five minutes later, a chef came out to explain how they prepare the salmon, but even then, he didn’t clarify the method. By that time, the food had gone cold and I had lost interest. If you're doing something different with a classic dish, you should inform customers upfront to avoid this kind of disappointment. The Big Breakfast was okay, but the mushrooms were underwhelming. We were seated near the window, which would have been fine — except the view was of an old fridge, which didn’t help the experience. Overall, between the food and service, I won't be returning. Three stars only because parts of the meal were passable.

But that's not all; their menu also boasts an array of massive burgers, succulent ribs, fresh salads, and indulgent desserts to satisfy any craving.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nice atmosphere in the place. The meal was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. Meat was really tender. I could have cut the steak with a butter knife if I wanted 2. Loved it, and i am going back again tomorrow👍 Will get 20% discount next time when you keep the receipt and you go back within 7 days, another great incentive.

Had a good meal at Hog’s Breath Café Toowoomba. I ordered the Mega Cut of their slow-cooked steak with avocado and béarnaise sauce, plus a side of Byron Bay chilli sauce—which was sweet with a nice spicy kick. The curly fries were crispy and tasty, and the house slaw was fresh. Only downside was the steak could’ve been a bit warmer when it came out. Also, worth noting that cold water was extra, which was a bit unexpected. Overall, solid feed with good flavours and friendly service.

Good steak for a good price. The curly fries are amazing. Happily a returning customer. 300g sirloin was a great!

Treated myself to the 600g prime rib steak with garlic prawns. Absolutely delicious meal with great side choices! If you’re hungry I’d highly recommend. Lovely old fashioned fit out with timber furniture. Also shoutout to Cameron for the incredible service :)

Loved their food and friendly service. I visited twice and both were excellent experience. Team was lovely and helpful. Pub style atmosphere was awesome. I had a rump steak and it was perfect. Most favourite one was Curly Chips. Amazing shape and well seasoned taste. It wasn't busy during lunch time and had enough parking spaces.
Irantha J — Google review
Pretty good meal there. Clean with super friendly staff who do everything possible to get your experience right. Prices normal for a Hogs. Was not busy when we went in but meals came out quick. Beer was icy cold and offered water on arrival. Cutlery and glasses clean and well kept. Has it's own parking in town there so pretty handy. Food was fresh and tasted good. Wrap was quite tasty and so was the chicken burger. Curly fries were perfect.
Jamie H — Google review
I had the rump, asked for medium. Been largely the same at every Hogs Breath I’ve been to, steak was tough. My wife had the sirloin, same there. It seems if you’re not buying the slow cooked stuff, then the steak isn’t important. Disappointing for a Steakhouse. Highlight though, we had an unusual moment where an impaired young man with us got a bit agitated. The young waiter Henrique handled this most professionally. Well done to you sir.
Gary T — Google review
Upon entry to the restaurant, I was met with a lovely young person, polite, courteous and helpful, ushered to our seat. Ample time to review the menu and the waiter came and checked on us and we placed our order. 2 x Rump steaks with vegies and sauces. Quite reasonable for wait time, reasonable presentation of the food. Unfortunately, the meal was nowhere near the standard expected of Hogs Breath in general. Have dined at several Hogs Breath over the years. The vegetables were soggy and cooked way too long and basically disintegrated in your mouth. The rump steaks were thin and cooked medium rare, but unfortunately, they were so full of gristle it was unable to be chewed without feeling like a cow chewing it's cud. After making the issue known to the waiter, the manager came, and we explained the concerns to which it was revealed there was a new batch of steak provided, and the issue would be looked at with respect to the steak. The manager was respectful and understood the issue and provided a discount for us. Hopefully it was just the bad batch of steak and it will be better next time.

I've been a regular at Southern Hotel for years and today is extra different. The ambience, the food and the hospitality service is top notch. Thank you to JP for a 5-star experience. We need more service from a person like you. I will now come back regularly to Southern Hotel.

Shout out to JP for the wonderful service and YG, Miguel, Efren and Chris for the amazing food! The whole dining experience for our group of 5 is great and we felt very welcome. I would like to commend The Southern Hotel (Restaurant) for incorporating Filipino dishes ,such as Liempo and Chicken and Prawn Noodles (Pancit Canton). We all enjoyed the food. It was all full of flavour and the desserts were made in-house such as the icecream. The money you paid for is all worth it.

A Truly Memorable Experience at The Southern Hotel, Toowoomba I don’t often write reviews, but after our recent visit to The Southern Hotel in Toowoomba, I felt genuinely compelled to share our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and attentive service that made us feel right at home. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and that inviting country charm Toowoomba is known for. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and not feel rushed. Speaking of the food – absolutely outstanding. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you're after a perfectly cooked steak, something from their seasonal specials, or just classic pub fare done right, The Southern Hotel delivers in every way. The portion sizes were generous, and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. A big thank you to the staff – from the kitchen to the front of house – for going above and beyond. It’s rare to find such consistently excellent service paired with high-quality food. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re in Toowoomba and looking for a place with heart, flavour, and hospitality, The Southern Hotel is a must.

Travelled to Toowoomba for a birthday get together here. Great spot. Plenty of parking, nice atmosphere, (good) kids play area viewable from the eating area in the bistro. Bar /service staff were young and maybe not as slick as more experienced crews but we're competent, professional, and friendly. Food was great. There is a good variety on the menu and considering how busy they were during our visit the meals arrived with surprising speed. Pricing is perfectly reasonable by current standards. It was unanimous at our table that the food quality and value was excellent and above average. Toowoomba has a surprising amount of great pubs, The Southern is up there with the best of them. Highly recommended.👍

Visiting from Victoria and this pub was walking distance. We had the seniors Roast and an apple pear crumble. Would return for the dessert alone. Service was excellent. They were busy on a Monday night. Friendly and efficient staff working hard. No wait time. Warm and cosy. Not too noisy either.
Heather T — Google review
As always, we booked a table (booth) and staff were very helpful, attentive and respectful in particular as we are senior citizens and not because we expect it either. Service is good and so is the food which is reasonably priced, and our group has yet to have a "bad" meal experience, hence we keep coming back. Keep up the good work.

There was this waiter called Nat, she was amazing and lovely and I would 100% give her a raise, she treats her customers with kindness and respect, her smile was lovely and her humor was unmatched. I will be recommending this place to all my friends! It was our friends 18th and he had an amazing time. 10\10, that being said, all the staff we interacted with were lovely, and the food came out fast and hot. This was a impeccable restaurant experience.

Waited 50 minutes for our orders, fair enough as they were very busy. That wasn't an issue. Waited 25 minutes for our drinks, not so busy in the bar, but okay, not complaining about that either. Customer service was not a nice positive experience as all staff we dealt with were very moody and seems forgot how to smile. The food was okay but nothing special at all. Pork belly was soft no crackling and quite dry. Sumac roast potatoes , not nice. Schnitzel was very bland, chicken in the Ceasar salad was not enjoyable so was pushed to the side. Such a beautiful location, gorgeous facility but I doubt we'll ever return. Planned on ordering streaks all round but after reading there was a 45 minute wait on steaks we chose differently. Turns out we waited anyway. Maybe the steaks would have made for an improved experience. But we'll never know.

Attended the show and shine show. Used the facilities of blue mountain and found food reasonable but not inspiring but service extremely lacking. Was busy but not expecting though. Was borderline rude and lack of acknowledging. Our family were regular eaters here but time and time again issues with food and more so staff issues stopped us. Luckily plenty of other places to chose from

I went to the cafe for a coffee & scones a couple of weeks ago & it was beautiful but went there on Sunday morning for breakfast & I had to pay for a couple of slices of sourdough with my breakfast, ending up costing me $29 for the breakfast alone & it was like it came from a bain marie, the corn fritters I could not eat at all, I expected to have hot food served to me not half cold & inedible, very disappointing. The staff took my plate away & did not even ask how my breakfast was.

Always our favourite place to come for dinner. Had the salmon tonight- cooked to perfection. And the kids beg to come for the kids meals with ice cream and the kids room. Good old fashioned family night out and the meals were super quick. JP the restaurant manager always farewells us and checks in, which is alovely country touch you don't always see. I didn't want to give a good review because I don't want it to book out, but it really is a great place!

Breakfast - you gotta try the smokey house beens and chorizo with pickled chilli on the side with their wonderful coffee! Great service from friendly and courteous staff. I'll be back!! All good, new menu, member specials, friendly staff and quick delivery of meals. 👍👍👍 Went there for lunch, ordered a 300gm rib fillet steak, mushroom gravy and onion rings topper. The onion rings had been cooked a number of times and the panky batter fell off the onion rings, there was no mushroom sauce and the steak was eye fillet. I was very disappointed with this effort. My wife had the lamb shank which was lovely but the pumpkin was not cooked through...crunchy. Please note the staff in this place are wonderful, no reflection on them at all. Good to try the specials, you won't be disappointed. 😃👍

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this venue and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and the exceptional presentation. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated, clearly showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and creativity. The atmosphere is intimate and charming—an ideal setting for a relaxed and memorable date night, especially if you’re looking to try something a little different from the usual spots. It strikes a perfect balance between casual and elegant, making it both inviting and special. While the overall experience was positive, there were a few minor service-related issues that could be improved. These did not significantly detract from the evening but are worth noting for future refinement. That said, the quality of the food and ambiance more than made up for it. I would definitely return and look forward to seeing how the service continues to evolve.

I have eaten at Host multiple times and had the most wonderful experience. The food is absolutely amazing! every dish was mouthwatering and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is calm, intimate, and quietly elegant, making it the perfect spot to unwind. What really sets this place apart is the owner’s incredible knowledge of wine. Their passion shines through in every recommendation, making each glass feel thoughtfully chosen to complement the food. I highly recommend trying the “Just Feed Me” option. It’s a delightful surprise of multiple courses, featuring dishes I wouldn’t normally choose myself, but every single one was delicious and opened my eyes to new flavors. Truly a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone I know!

I'm not much of a meat eater, but overall our first dining experience here was delicious, and each dish was curated and introduced with obvious expertise. The fact the dishes were small but plentiful gave us the opportunity to try a wide range of tastes without feeling overfull; the meal felt like the perfect amount. The house made lemonade was also a highlight and I really liked the zucchini flowers. The autumn veg felt like a few too many flavours in one, but still nice. If there was a more plant based version I'd probably go back every few months, but as it was, it was a lovely and unique dining experience that I'd recommend.

It was our first time at VAPIANO! We noticed they had a lunch discount menu at the time. We’re a Korean couple, and the staff was super friendly — they even greeted us in Korean! The food was delicious, and I especially loved the Bolognese pasta. I’d never tried thin pasta noodles before — it was such a fun and tasty experience! We’ll definitely visit again next time and try something new! The lunch deal was such a great value: one drink, a pizza, and a pasta for just $39!

Went here due to the choices of others. Restaurant doesn't accept cash, but has a surcharge for card usage. Just build it into the prices, ffs. Seating isn't good for more than about thirty minutes, either you're on tall stools or short chairs without a back. The food was OK but they're pushing a little on the high side of prices for the value. The pizza in my photo was $32 + card fee. The dips were $15 + card fee. The only redeeming feature was the desserts, which were surprisingly good in both taste and value. Finally, strangely, for an "Italian"-style restaurant, they don't have coffee.

Great little cafe to enjoy breakfast or lunch. We visited for breakfast and were greeted immediately before being shown to an empty table. After ordering, our drinks took about 10min to arrive, and the meals about 20min, which seemed very reasonable. All meals were good sized and value for money, we spent about $30 per person for a drink and meal. Service was very friendly. The atmosphere was a little loud once the cafe filled up, but it's to be expected, and didn't personally impact our conversation.

I had high expectations from ortem obviously coz i drive pass daily n see lots of people dining in. Service was really good n staff were very hospitable. Strawberry cake was out of the world. It was so rich in flavour n definitely a must try dessert. Steak was also nice. But, the main dissatisfaction was with coffee. I ordered long black triple shot. Maybe its ortem coffee which is dark roast. I always drink long black. But, I found theirs was kinda dark roast so i couldn’t enjoy it though it looks really amazing n definitely made by very skilled barista with great crema on top. Besides, the salmon dish which i was really excited about was visibly appealing n looked really nice but not cooked properly leaving the salmon uncooked n raw. It looked properly grilled from outside but was raw inside. However, the atmosphere was really nice n staff were very attentive.

Went back for breakfast for the first time in a while. The place was not too busy (it was only 7.30am) and we were lucky to get a seat without having to wait. I had the Eggs Your Way and my partner had the M&H Platter. I know looking at the photos the bacon looks over cooked but i love it on the crispy side and it was cooked to perfection for me and really tastey. The eggs were soft and perfectly with the yolk soft. The coffee is always good.Great service, good food, good coffee with good company what more could you ask for on a Saturday morning. Do yourself a a favour and go for breakfast you won't regret it.

Milk and honey appears to be a great new hipster hang out in the growing cultural Mecca of Toowoomba. The menu is a upmarket, there is no typical bacon and egg roll or big breakfast. However it works, the flavours have been considered and work well together. The coffee is like lava, once it had cooled down it was drinkable. It may have been an inexperienced barista but it's not the best coffee in Toowoomba. The atmosphere is good for family's and kids to run wild however it can get noisy inside with the high ceiling and open space. There is no wifi at present so for students looking to study over a coffee you will need an external connection. Overall I would not rush to come back here, but I would certainly stop in if I was passing by. The cafe is open from 0600-1500 every day. It has a large following with local cyclists so maybe wait till after 9am if Lycra offends you.o

Chicken restaurant
Fast food restaurant
When I visited Toowoomba, I decided to try out the popular chicken restaurant Super Rooster. It was clear that it was a favorite among locals, as there was always a long line of cars waiting at the drive-through during peak times. They offer a variety of chicken burgers, rolls, and dinners, all made with fresh ingredients. The chips are also delicious. Despite the high demand, the staff efficiently prepare and serve the meals.
I've been here a few times and I am always satisfied with the food! One time I got a fish pack and it was one of the best fish themed meals I have had in my life. Best value too! Gotta hand it to Super Rooster, they know how to satisfy their customers!

Specifficly came to Super Rooster to take 4 packets of chips & a roll home with me to NSW (freeze them & to place in an ESKY) only to be disappointed with the chips being overcooked & barely any salt in 3 of the four packets, & a quarter of my chicken roll bent back on itself squashed in the foil packet! Been eating these for many many years, so not happy at all sadly. 3 stars for the chicken rolls, none for the chips.
Mi C — Google review
Usually quiet good service, unfortunately when buying take away, most often than not, there is no cutlery included, And they never put a single box (e.g.half chicken and chips) in a bag so it's free to make a mess in the car. Please Include, many people are buying this for lunches for work and am I supposed to eat half a chick and chips with my hands? A lot of the time the window ladies don't seem too happy to be there. Nevertheless, the food is good and it's local business so I continue to support.

First time eating at Super Rooster and I can honestly say that it was great. A generous amount of food cooked very well for a great price. I had the tropical pack and it reminded me of an 80's Queensland chicken shop that I miss very much. With 80's serving sizes and quality. Great job team and thank you so much.

This place was great, what I originally thought was a big fast food place all over Australia with horrible food. I was DEFINITELY wrong. I ordered 6 chicken nuggets and chips, the chips were fresh and very hot, my mouth is still burning, they were crunchy and great, the chicken nuggets, I could split them and see the chicken inside breaking smoothly. Then the coke, for some reason, the coke just tastes better. Great place, kept clean, friendly staff, decent prices, great atmosphere, I was served quickly as well, if I could, I'd give this place a 6 stars.

First time trying and I was not disappointed, the chicken was amazing and one of the best chips I’ve ever had! The store was super busy and the food was super fresh, keep up the great work. The guy that served us behind the counter was friendly and helpful.

Finally tried out Super Rooster after many recommendations from locals and it did not disappoint 🙂 Chips are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the seasoning is TASTY! Fast service considering we went at a peak time and it’s not a massive fast food chain, and the service was so lovely.

Some of the freshest chicken I've ever tasted. Might sometimes take a wait in the drive through but we'll worth it

My husband and I had lunch and upon arrival ordered drinks from a waitress who could only be described as uninterested, rude and was as cold as ice. My husband asked if we could be moved to a quieter area as there weren’t many patrons in the restaurant. Once again served by the same waitress who obviously told her manager we were being difficult, as the manager came out to the dining area to grab some cutlery and looked directly at us in disgust. We won’t be back and whoever the owner of the restaurant is needs to be aware that this type of behaviour and service needs to be fixed. If you don’t want to be there just leave I’m sure there are many other nice waitresses that would love the job.

We had dinner last Wednesday night, the food is amazing no complaint at all. Customer service was terrible, only person that was happy about his job was the tall young man and the guy with a moustache. One of the manager, i think, was very rude. Come up to our table without any manners interrupting us in the table and ask about the food choices i made on my order, just no care at all about the customers. Play area was locked as well so thats disappointing for my kids. We just moved in around the area and this is the closest pub for us but we won’t be going back there.

Spent 2 nights of no sleep. Nothing like the photos on the website. The rooms smelt musty and the bed you can feel the springs poking through the mattress. The photos they use on the website are different even the cupboards are different colour and newer looking in photos. The tiles on floor you can see your own marks from walking as it has a film on it from whatever is used to clean it. Accomodation places need to be more honest with their advertising, especially the price we all pay to stay. Definitely won’t stay here again nor will we recommend.

Staff was very friendly. We were visiting on Mother’s Day $50 each for lunch buffet - i don’t think it’s worth this money and most food item from the buffet appeared to be a finger food from the package such as calamari or prawn fries, fish with no cream sauce, only gravy for beef, chips , potatoes salad . No coffee or tea served as advertised and LONG Que to get food! I won’t rush back for this buffet very soon !!! Sorry I didn’t take much photos!

I wanted to say 5 stars and perhaps on another visit they'd earn it. I've been meaning to try this place for some time now - it's always busy and has that cool 'health food/organic' vibe about it. The yogi bear smoothie was weirdly the only one with protein powder in it, so too bad if you wanted something else. I like the yogi though, nice flavour. Good and THICC. I had the eggs benny - a classic and a good choice to gauge the quality of a brekky joint. I went with smoked salmon, bacon and avo salsa. All of these elements were good. Personal preference would've had the toast a little toastier but not a major point. The hollandaise had a nice creamy mouth feel. It left a slick oily film about my mouth which was a little weird, almost like a snail had pleasantly been tickling the inside of your mouth, leaving his little trail around. Sounds gross, but the sauce was tasty and the freshness of the avo salsa cut through the oiliness of the hollandaise nicely. The best part of this visit was the company - a post workout brekky with friends is a recipe for a good time. A minor slip up in service, one of the guys had to go and re-order his drink. Didn't have to re-pay though. Reasonable. They admitted the mistake though so forgivable offence. Unforgivable mistake - another friend (who, importantly, is allergic to peanuts) ordered a yogi with no peanuts (logically) and on coconut milk, where his wife ordered the same but with peanuts. When drinks came out and the question arose which drink was the peanut-ful and which was peanut-free, the lack of confidence was disturbing. Talk about a deer caught in headlights, that's exactly what this Girl was, standing there with two drinks and one guys life in her hands. Thankfully [name censored for privacy] was able to taste which was which and save the day and her husband's life. Sounds like a dramatic slip up but given how busy this place was, it's not hard to see how this kind of oversight could arise. Perhaps just a little more attention to detail and this would be a five star review. EDIT: wait times can be pretty long

We have never had an issue dining there. The prices are very reasonable and if you go out there was something special you expect to pay extra for that. Meal prices range in the box selected, and my meal recently was only a little more than that, but that is my meal in the photo. That was the 700g rump and cooked to perfection as always.

We were up from Brisbane on a day trip and we stumbled across this place and we were so impressed with the food fresh hot and delicious. Enjoyed a meal here with friends. We were offered free chicken wings while waiting for our meals. Most of us had the steak special which was cooked to perfection. We couldn't fault the meal or service. We would definitely return here again.

As another reviewer has commented, it's typical pub food. Takeaway this time, they were busy with a delay as a result. Portion sizes are generous for the money. The buffalo wings were battered (unusual presentation) and tasted more of barbecue sauce than buffalo sauce. The hangover parmi was decently sized, a bit overcooked. And what's with honey mustard dressing on almost every salad in the Toowoomba region these days?

My sister called and booked a table at the Westbrook hotel last week on the 10th of August. She booked for a table for 25 people for 12:30 on the 17th of August. The lady on the phone confirmed and said she would write it down on their reservation book. This lady was wonderful and nice on the phone. My sister said she would call and confirm the day before the booking. The attached screenshot shows my sister called the western tavern yesterday morning to confirm and change her booking from 25 to 26 people. The man on the phone confirmed yesterday he would change the booking from 25 people to 26. When our group showed up today to celebrate my sisters 19th birthday, the man we talked to told us there was no booking under Campbell. This is not the first time the Westbrook tavern have messed with our booking, the staff also had wrote the wrong number of guests on our reservation this time last year. This is absolutely devastating , we luckily were able to get a last minute booking at another restaurant. We do not recommend booking here, and the booking system should change for this to not happen to another family.

Staff and venue was generally nice for a quick beer. Food was brought out quite quickly but the quality was horrible for the price point. We bought an array of different items and each was poorly assembled and of low grade.

Staff very friendly and quick to serve. Food came out quickly and was well presented. The sirloin steak was cooked well and the salad garnishes were very nice. The parmigiana had a nice flavour however the schnitzel was very dry, tasted like it was cooked earlier and reheated.

Enjoyed a lovely Friday night with friends at The Rock. We brought our Border Collie so we sat outside. All of the staff were engaged and friendly. The food was amazing - fresh and delicious. I got the pumpkin salad and the serving size was huge. I enjoyed a pinot gris. Everyone seemed happy with the experience and it was not too cold sitting outside with the dog.

Had dinner here on Easter Sunday with a work colleague and we both enjoyed our meals. We ordered steaks, which were cooked exactly to our liking. The side of steamed vegetables was generous in size and served without any excess oil — a great light option to start with. We also tried the Korean chicken wings, which were tasty and had just the right amount of spice. Meals came out quickly, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

The food is great but we found we were eating it in a crowded area on stools and more drinking tables with not enough room. Felt a bit like cramming as many as you can so I think their needs to be a rethink about presenting the food in a better way where it can be enjoyed as it is good. It's just the lack of good seating that detracts.

I wanted to take a moment to commend the incredible improvement in food quality over the past few months. As a frequent diner visiting 2-3 times a week, I have had the pleasure of trying most of the meals on the menu and each one has been exceptional. I had my family reunion dinner this past Saturday and all of my family members were really impressed with the quality of the meal especially steaks as it was perfectly cooked. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients especially the salads are noticeably fresher, and the overall attention to detail is truly commendable. It’s clear that the kitchen puts a lot of passion into their food. Please extend my gratitude to the chef and management team. Thank you

Everything was good but you need to deal with the crackheads camped out the front and hanging around the gaming and bar. No security to speak of just all the girls/ladies on the floor. They handled the situation well but if it went sideways there could have been an issue. Looks like a great family pub but need some door staff to maintain some order.

I've always found upstairs private events to be fantastic, but our recent visit to the main restaurant was quite disappointing. We ended up at a table with a cold air conditioner pointed at the table between two TVs, and within 10 mins we were freezing. We considered moving, but as there is no table service and we'd ordered on the app, we thought we'd wait for our food and then move to avoid confusion; it ended up taking 45 minutes, with the entree delivered with the mains. The menu on the table didn't match the one on the website, for instance vegetarian meals weren't marked as such on the physical menu. The menus were also large and scattered on tables, which would have been in the way if we didn't have a second table close by to place them on. The ravioli felt like a lot of pasta without substantial filling, and it was undercooked. The pork belly was good, though. The prices are quite high for what feels like a pub experience in a fancier venue. Overall it was a mediocre visit and we'll choose an alternative venue next time we want a date night at that price point.
Susannah W — Google review
A Tuesday night so wasn't busy yet somehow they forgot our entrees and the food came out at 20 minutes apart. Value for money is not the case here but I must say the quality was good. Fish plus chips and green salad shouldn't cost this much as that's a cheap meal to prepare.
Roger K — Google review
Phoned to see if there was a table on a Wednesday night. Told there was but couldn't guarantee it would still be available when we got there. We almost didn't come because of that. Decided to try because we hadn't been before. When we arrived and walked in, about 3 staff walked past us without greeting us. Eventually spoke to the bar staff who directed us to where some table were. Heaps available. Didn't get told there wasn't table service. Ordered entre and mains. Didn't take too long for entrees. Wasn't even finished entree and the mains arrived. Meal was ok but not wow like I expected.

I ordered the Combination hokkien Noodles, boneless duck with plum sauce and beef omasum. The restarant was almost empty, only one other table was seated, but it's a very nice place. Food came out of the kitchen surprising quickly. Staff was very friendly. The duck in plum sauce was superb, the meat fell apart in my mouth. The plum sauce was a tad sweet for my taste, but I don't have a sweet tooth (I prefer a savoury meal to a dessert anytime), so that's a question of personal preference. Noodles were great and so was the omasum. I didn't know what an omasum was, but quickly googled it. I recommend it highly. I think even if you are squeamish and don't like food that looks weird, it'll be an easy challenge to conquer because it tastes great.

The atmosphere and the service was good however the food is quite average compared to other places with similar pricing that I have been to. We tried around 4-5 mains with rice. The food was served quite fast and the portion sizes were good. Almost all the dishes we got were a little too salty. Overall I'd say it's a good spot with lots of seating if you're after a meal while shopping

Great place to have a nice dinner and is in a quiet part of grandy. For starters I ordered the pork buns and they were great, sort of like the ones you get in the freezer but a lot better, then I moved onto the Mongolian lamb that came out on a hot plate and was a nice spectacle and also kept the food nice and warm. My partner ordered the honey chicken and the mixed starters platter, she was very happy with her choice and I obviously got a try as well. The chicken was just how I like it, soft with just enough crunch on the battering but still was able to have the honey sauce absorb into the coating. The starters were quite nice too but I do wish everything came with just a little more sauce. Lastly we had deep fried ice cream and I had no idea what to expect as I haven't had it before but I was definitely happy with my choice, the coating could be a little more crispy but it was still a nice taste and looked great. Tldr: Definitely worth a try and has an overwhelming amount of options, would need multiple visits to try even half of the menu. Has room for improvement but overall was a pleasant dining experience.

Absolutely amazing place. The workers went above and beyond with their service, they even took a picture of my group without us even asking. They even brought out a scoop of deep fried ice-cream with a sparkirler and sang happy birthday to our friend - no idea how they even knew it was her birthday, amazing! I had two sevres of pan fired dumplings and two sevres of steamed pork dumplings, they were sublime. Overall delicious food and absolutely brilliant service

We ordered various dishes, the San cho bao was deplorable, we have been eating from this restaurant for quite a few years now, and have noticed a steady decline in quality. Last time we order from here. Picture of the San cho bao below, which consisted of 90% Carrots and corn pumped up with a layer of fried noodles , Shame $12 😤😤😡😡😡

The restaurant was a little messy with just one young girl working. I had to wave her down to order however there was not even 3 tables being used when I arrived l. There was lots of dirty tables so I guess she had a bit of a busy time before I arrived, the dumplings are not made on premises can tell, that’s was a big let down for me, the chicken feet where nice, the chicken omelette was nice too. Would like to go back and try maybe a stir fry or other food :-)

Oh my god I am the luckiest man to be alive right now. Our Nepalese staff put in 45c of his own money for me and my friends order. What a guy, if you ever go there give him employee of the month or something. This place is also halal certified, and me and my friend had a blast. Great food and atmosphere, best person I've ever met. I recommend everything, the food was great I went there on a Wednesday where wings are 50c with a drink, I asked of the cheapest drink ($2.95) with 15 chicken wings with Smokey barbecue. It came to a total of $10.45, but I only had $10, so the Nepalese fella added a whole 50 cents to make our day. Thank you mate, best wishes for the future.

Our party of 6 came for lunch on Easter Saturday. Food came so quickly and was delicious and value for money . I also had the $12 Tommy Margarita which was also delicious! We had the Taco salad bowl with chicken, slow cooked pulled beef nachos and grilled chicken nacho fries and the authentic burrito.

Honestly, it's quite disappointing. The taste of the grilled chicken was nice, but the number of chips included was very lacking and made this not feel like a complete meal. The chips looked appealing but fell flat on flavour. The quesadilla were also small, skinny, and soggy with little filling. I could have got a pack from aldi for $5, which would have been more filling. Lastly, the serving of rice for $3 was about 4 table spoons in a plastic container. It's not really acceptable. onion rings were decent. The servers were nice, but overall, we had eaten our meals in a very short time and are left feeling a little short-changed. For $40, this was a light snack, not an evenings dinner.

Ordered take out to night got 5 different dishes. Most tasted great but there were things missing. But what I am most annoyed about are my chocolate nachos which is advertised as chocolate corn chips, strawberries, ice cream and chocolate sauce I got no strawberries or ice cream So disappointed about this only reason I ordered them Now if I ate in would I of got it all yes so why not when. I take it home Very disappointing that the good wasn't as great as it use to be. 😭

This review rounds out our 3-part series of chain Mexican restaurants in Toowoomba (see also reviews for GYG and Zambreros). not right in town so no surprise that it's a little lesser known. Perhaps a more central location and this place would be a real hit! Menu is by far the most extensive of the 3 franchises. Menus were also pretty beat up though which leads with a bad first impression. I used to come here on Wednesdays for lunch right when this place opened. They did a 25c wings deal and it was honestly great. Wings not that good - dry and small. In fairness they were coated in the correct amount of sauce and the flavours were great. Also 25c. This was a few years ago now though so it was past time to return. For a place with burrito in the name, there was a surprising lack of emphasis on the burrito menu. Lots of other options though so don't worry if burritos aren't your jam, there's something for most people. The fish taco was light and works as a perfect starter if you order just one. Was informed by another patron that it smells very much of fish which I guess is reassuring - that's what I ordered??? No discount for ordering 2 but at 3 tacos you make a bit of a saving. Pricing is reasonable. Good value. Burrito was good and I liked. I didn't love it, but I liked it very much. Ordering is a weird challenge. Some items have a small blue thumb next to them indicating "BB recommended". Others do not... Overall good experience. Those in our troupe who ordered cocktails enjoyed but weren't blown away - more just happy they were available. Annoying that whatever music streaming service they were using had ads - very distracting. All in all though, everything was good but nothing was amazing. Service was a little sloppy for a quiet night but nothing awful - just a few items brought to the wrong table. A little bit of a polish up and a great staple Mexican chain.

Food Is average, and a service fee when you order on their own website? Don't bother, go to Zambrero and get a bigger and a much better tasting burrito for cheaper. You pay the price that they advertise on the menu.

Very disappointed, I could have been given the wrong meal or been at the wrong time of day (2pm) The Burrito I ordered was a “Large” About 1/3 as big as I was expecting and not very flavoursome. Chips tasted like yesterdays chips deep fried again. Only reason for 2 stars was the staff member was polite enough. A shame as I was looking forward to trying it!

Such lovely food. It did feel very genuine to an uneducated Mexican like me. The staff might not have been perfectly dressed, but very friendly and efficient and once again genuine. Made me feel comfortable. The meals were in my opinion great value and when they arrived they were very pleasantly dished up. I'm a big eater and i was totally satisfied. Will definitely be coming back. Very cool premesis!

A multi-generational group of nine family members had an enjoyable brunch at the Toowoomba Coffee House. The establishment offers a wide range of vegan options, and even those who aren't strictly vegan found their meals to be satisfying. The cafe has a pleasant atmosphere that caters well to individuals with autism or hearing impairments, as it is not overly loud or overwhelming. Additionally, the outdoor seating provides a delightful garden view that can be appreciated from inside as well.
I was a bit hesitant to try this place based on the location, but they had the best cafe reviews in Toowoomba, so gave it a shot. I'm so glad we did, the food was amazing and it is now my favourite breakfast location in Toowoomba. The staff are so polite and friendly. They have worked hard to build an atmosphere based on plants and their fish pond. I definitely would recommend giving them a go!

I just happened upon this lovely cafe while driving around in circles😂 The sign out front was inviting, so I gave it a try. I enjoyed the relaxing indoor/outdoor environments, the well prepared and presented food (I had nachos) and the unique experience. Coffee was good. I would describe the menu as traditional cafe brunch meals with lots of Asian fusion options.

A great space for some wine, food and awesome music! Katrina has an amazing venue and the wine and food are an eclectic mix that are to be celebrated. We love spending a hour or two drinking and tasting some new wines. We love this spot and thanks for creating a space to enjoy. We also enjoy all the artwork on the walls and have relished the opportunity to buy an art piece. 😍

Came from Europe and I was in the area on business. I was alone, they were warm, friendly, helpful, hospitable and kind. The drinks were great, they have knowledge of different gins and wines from around the world. The cocktails are highly consistant and great. The snacks looked very tasty but I had food which they brought in from their sister restaurant Bergen (which has one of the best menus I have seen in Australia until now). The food was very good. A wonderful night

Not sure why people rate this with 5 Stars. My first visit there was a child around 4-5 years of age in the bar (unacceptable). Second visit I ordered a Margarita which arrived slightly cooler than room temperature. When I ordered a second I asked for it to be shaken a little longer the owners reply was”I don’t shake them I just stir them”.

Thoroughly enjoyed a cheeky Friday arvo, savouring a shared platter of delicious cheeses, olives, fruits, you name it. The lovely Kat paired our platter with several wine varieties, sharing insights into their production and palates. Happiness abounds.

We enjoyed a couple of red wines with bread and dips ("Trio of Dips"). The bread was oiled and toasted TO PERFECTION. Bread and red wine is my absolute favourite thing to consume, and uva did not disappoint. Tiny tiny point of constructive criticism - so tiny it does not warrant giving any less than five glorious stars: Shiraz temperature. It is commonly held that red wine should be served at room temperature. This is true, if your room is exactly 17°C. Will give six stars* if the red wine temp comes down by a few degrees. *Due to Google Maps technical limitations I may not be able to bestow six stars, but it's the thought that counts.

Had lunch here today, very nice staff and service was good. Enjoyed my coffee but one of their specialty dishes the homemade sausage roll was not very nice. Pastry was undercooked but the filling was just awful. So solid and dry, I just couldn’t eat it. The salad was ok but very chunky and probably too much.

Visiting Toowoomba for carnival of flowers I saw the #eats leaflet & thought I must try a deconstructed iced vovo. They were busy, very busy. As I got to the counter I noticed a sign stating all meals to be served in takeaway containers throughout September. So I asked if the vovo was and thankfully she said no, but you can order it if you prefer that way. Nope I wanted to try it exactly as it was pictured. Now as I went to order I said I don't know where I'm going to sit as all the tables were now taken. A lovely gent named Steven or Stefan ( tall fella with longish dark hair) went off to find me a seat. Escorted my back to my table. Returned a few moments later just to 'fix' it up, even though it didn't need it for me. This guy needs a raise, what an awesome staff member. Plenty of parking normally available, but for carnival of flowers it's a bit of a fluke. As for the iced vovo, it was pretty, sad tasted ok. But definitely could have been done a bit differently, maybe more coconut or something. But I'm glad I tried it, service was 5/5

I accompanied my father to Cafe Guitar for breakfast, and it turned out to be a delightful find. The menu is simple yet enticing, offering a variety of delicious options. The pancakes, served with authentic maple syrup and accompanied by berries, brought back fond memories of my grandmother's table. They were perfectly cooked and had a crispy texture. My father thoroughly enjoyed his avocado and feta on crusty bread so much that he ordered another serving.
I took my father here for breakfast. What a great discovery! An easy menu offers a selection of tasteful sounding options. The pancakes (with real maple syrup!) and berries instantly took me back to my grandmas table and the great memories that were made there. They were crispy and cooked to perfection. Dad’s avocado and feta on crusty bread was so good we ordered another. The coffee was smooth and left a lovely taste in your mouth. The backdrop of musically inspired decor added to the ambience and left you wanting more time to explore. Situated next to Bandland this cafe is a must do for visitors and locals alike.

A great spot for a tasty breakfast and good coffee. We grabbed the eggs Benny and a BLT burger. They've got nice and fresh gluten free burger buns which hold together and serve the filling well (all you want from a gf bun). We had great friendly service and the pleasure of some live music on a Friday morning. The bit of roadworks out front were easy to work around, and the entry was accessible with no troubles getting in. Was peaceful as anything inside and a very enjoyable spot. Thanks for a great brekky!

Takeout Restaurant
Zambrero Toowoomba is a vibrant and socially conscious fast-casual restaurant that offers a wide variety of Mexican dishes for dine-in or takeaway. Known for its colourful atmosphere and humanitarian focus, this popular counter-serve chain provides quick, healthy, and delicious meals. With exceptional customer service from their cheerful staff, especially Ethan, every visit is guaranteed to be enjoyable. The food at Zambrero Toowoomba is always fresh, with a great selection of vegan options and gluten-free alternatives available.
Love love love this place. The food is sensational. The customer service is brilliant. We come here a lot for the flavour and for the options with dietary restrictions. Plenty of gluten free, dairy free, egg free, vegetarian and vegan options, plus all the usual. It’s always value for money and portions are true to size. Many places could really learn a lot from the quality and service of this place.

I wish there was a 0 star rating for service. The 2 girls at the counter who served us were so rude and seemed like serving us was a pain. They looked at us rudely, and spoke in a terrible manner. They definitely don’t seem like they want to be working and serving customers. My friend asked them to throw her empty coffee cup in the bin and she said “there’s a bin by the door” she then went over to her coworker and said something about us whilst looking in our direction. Absolutely horrible. Hire nicer people who enjoy their job.
Kellie C — Google review
You'd think the staff have never seen cash before. If I pay with cash, I expect there to be enough cash in the till to not give me a handful of 5c pieces. Food was average, staff was forgetful about what was asked for. I speak clearer than most people, so the fault is either with their hearing or their short term memory. It takes too long to be served at the best of times, and the meat was left on an unheated counter for an unreasonable amount of time. I'm usually not picky, but this is the 3rd visit I've had with substandard service and quality of food. The price, being premium, means that I expect a hell of a lot better. When I can buy an expertly cooked steak for $4 more than a burrito at another establishment, and wait less time for it to be prepared, then there's a problem with your business model. I will be voting with my wallet and avoiding the place. I should add that the 2 girls behind the counter were disrespectful at best and downright rude on several previous occassions. Friday night, 1830hours approximately. I don't like being treated with disrespect, but I let it slide once or twice. 3 or more times and it becomes obvious that the person serving has a poor attitude.

The problem with this place is that it indubitably gets compared to GYG. Something about apples and oranges but this is more like comparing a Pink Lady with a Granny Smith. I've come twice this week, once for lunch and once for tea on a Friday night. Not a good place if in a hurry. Takes a while if there's a queue (cheers to the Karen in front of us with an order of about 100 items). Possibly understaffed, only ever one server on at a time. Once you're up you're up though so be ready to order. On the topic, the "Order Here" sign? Worst positioning possible. The best way to describe it is Subway but Mexican. In that regard it's kinda gyg with a bit more of an "Eat Fresh" vibe. Again though; apples and oranges. Music? Some hits but also some songs are very miss. Seats quite low. Is that a bad thing I'm not sure but definitely very low seats. Child seat also on display. I don't have kids though (thank goodness) so not an issue for me but good to know they're catering for everyone. Pros: large degree of customisation available. Cons: large degree of customisation available. Thankfully they offer suggestions. I like this. On the Friday I ran a burrito featuring pork, white rice, beans, sour cream, guac, tomato, onion and corn salsas, cheese, lime juice and chipotle sauce. Can recommend this combo. The mix of salsas was delightfully refreshing. The sauce with a mild heat that was perfect for my sensitive bowels. I had the red chilli sauce on my first time here and while delicious and surprisingly easy on the heat at the time, it had an afterburn that left me dreading the final 'farewell' of the sauce. Biggest drawback is no sides available. Big let down. The burrito only provides mild satiation. Great for lunch, not so much for dinner. Add some potato chips to the menu and winner for sure. They proudly advertise the number of donated meals. I'm all for doing your bit for the world but the 1:1 ratio of donated:purchased meals does make me think maybe I'm paying too much? Definitely run the tomato+onion+corn salsa combo. My goodness. Neon lights are always cool too.

The Plate Restaurant Bar & Brewery in Toowoomba is a unique dining venue that stands out in the local food scene. With its combination of a restaurant, bar, and in-house craft brewery, it offers a refreshing and innovative experience for diners. The restaurant has received exceptional reviews for its outstanding service provided by waitress Lucy, who is known for her positive and welcoming attitude. The quality of the meals served at The Plate is highly praised, particularly their perfectly cooked steak dishes.
Had dinner with work colleagues on a Tuesday night and had an excellent experience. We ordered a selection of steaks and side dishes, and everything was cooked to perfection. The steaks were exactly as requested—crispy on the outside, full of flavour, and incredibly tender. We tried almost all the available side dishes (except the mac and cheese) and were impressed by the variety and quality. Each dish was delicious on its own and complemented both the steak and the other sides beautifully. Portion sizes were spot on, ensuring a satisfying meal without being overwhelming. The service was also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. Overall, a great dining experience. Highly recommended!

We had an incredible lunch at The Plate in Toowoomba! We ordered the flash-fried Harvey Bay squid, two grass-fed rib eye steaks, tallow-fried chips, and charred local carrots—and every bite was delicious. The steak was hands down the best we’ve ever had—so tender and full of flavour. The chips were super moreish, and the carrots were perfectly charred and sweet. Definitely check out the lunch specials too—great value and the dishes looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. Highly recommend!

We visited The Plate for my birthday, after reading so many glowing reviews, and unfortunately left feeling really disappointed. My husband had booked it as a special treat while we were visiting from Brisbane. We ordered the Steak Plate Sharing Feast at $65 per person — spending $260 on food alone for our group of four adults (one of which was a shared plate). For that price, we expected a generous and memorable meal. Sadly, the portion sizes were incredibly underwhelming. The platter included one small piece of each steak cut, a tiny bowl of chips, a small side of carrots, a few scattered green vegetables, a bowl of salad, and tiny servings of sauce and gravy. One of us even asked if more food was coming — it just didn’t feel like enough for a group of adults. The waitress confirmed it was the full meal, but we ended up going home to eat more afterward. To be fair, the food itself tasted good and the presentation was nice — but the pricing simply didn’t match the serving sizes. We’ve had more generous, better-valued meals at well-established restaurants for less, so this felt especially disappointing for a birthday dinner. We love supporting local venues and we understand the pressures hospitality businesses face, but this experience didn’t live up to the expectations set by the menu or the reviews.
Bethany T — Google review
Rating: 2.8/10 (Partner: 2/10) Our experience was nothing short of disappointing. While the empanadas were passable (6/10 from both of us), everything that followed left a lot to be desired. We waited over an hour and a half for our mains — an outrageous delay, especially considering we both ordered the 300g rump steak with “beef tallow” fries. What eventually arrived could have been made at home — and frankly, would have been better. The steak was bland, the fat caps weren’t rendered, and the fries were barely warm (being generous). To make things worse, a gentleman and his daughter were seated two places down from us. They arrived ten minutes after we did, ordered, ate, paid their bill, and left a full ten minutes before our mains even hit the table. That alone says everything about the inconsistency and lack of care in the service. The cornbread with maple butter? Burnt on the outside, somewhat salvaged inside, but overall just another letdown. After sitting for two full hours, we canceled dessert and left thoroughly dissatisfied. Two hours. For one mediocre starter and one of the most underwhelming mains we’ve had in recent memory. Would not return. Would not recommend. Poor service, painfully slow kitchen, and food that simply doesn’t measure up to the wait or the price.

We love this place! The food was so full of flavour done to perfection. Price was spot on and the meal size was on the generous side. Calm cool atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.
Bec S — Google review
Had been hearing goods reviews from people and boy did it love up to the hype! Easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long while. They're expensive, but you get exactly what you pay for. The fat fried chips are a must! All the guests I was with said their food was amazing and would visit again (as would I). The buffalo wings were above average. Not the best but something I'd get again. Can't be helped but if a VERY noisy restaurant isn't your thing, best to steer clear at least until most nights aren't booked solid. Food was prompt and staff were very friendly and personable. One recommendation I would have for management is to have some sort of time limit for tables, especially during fully booked periods. Had to wait for 20 mins at the bar because the previous booking we're only just receiving their deserts. In the end, another table had finished and we were seated.
Ian B — Google review
Service can be hit or miss unfortunately but when it's good the staff are friendly and attentive. Not a fan of the new menu model, I know the response to this will be the rising product costs, but that doesn't account for the underwhelming experience of a steak sitting alone on a white plate. For return customers especially, knowing you previously would pay the same price for the steak and get sides included. Now I have to buy a $40 steak and an additional $27 if I want some chips & salad on the side. It is a higher end venue but the customer experience is important and there could be a balance between profit margins and the presentation as customers always want to feel they are getting their moneys worth. I'm not suggesting going backwards but maybe the additional sides you order can come on the plate with your steak so it looks like a full meal.

One of the highlights was the ideal location; it was just a short walk away from various shops, making it incredibly convenient for our needs. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely choose to return in the future. Tourist things: Cobb & Co. Museum Offers a history of transportation in Australia and Picnic Point are worth a visit.

Toowoomba Motor Village was a fantastic place to stay. They had problems with getting us the same site for 2 days straight, but, after some wrangling, they managed it. The day before we were due to leave, my husband needed a Ambulance when he contracted double pneumonia. The 000 Operator told me to find the Defibrillator while waiting for the Ambulance as hubby had existing heart problems, the park Manager/Owner brought the Defibrillator down to us and stayed for the Ambulance to arrive. Before the Ambulance even left with my husband, the Park's Owners/Managers came to let me know that they were holding the site for me for a few more days until I knew more about my husbands condition. One very major concern out of the way. I can't recommend this Tourist Park highly enough. Nice, clean Amenities, beautifully presented with amazing staff. What more could you need ? No playgrounds or such, but it's basically located in the middle of everything you could possibly need. Will not hesitate to stay there again.

Firstly, the team at reception were very welcoming which was great. The motel room I had was dated but very tidy and clean. The age & brick internal walls did mean that the room had an unpleasant lingering odour, I guess dating back to the days when your grandmother used to smoke in the house (best terminology I can use to describe). Opening the windows during the day helped with this. The outsourced bed linen was a lovely addition which a lot of accomodation providers at this price don't opt for and it does make a big difference! The bed was comfortable and the full kitchen, although dated (but very clean) had everything needed for my length of stay. My two nitpicks aside from the above: the lack of wifi. Even at a budget accomodation price point, until this stay, I’ve never not had this service available. Lastly, more a point for my room in particular, 104. Having the housekeepings dirty laundry bins right by the front door is not the best first impression and creates a lot of activity by the front door during their working hours (not great when the bathroom windows are right next to this, doesn’t give you any privacy). In my opinion, there was plenty of space in staff only areas where these could be kept. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would return again.

Motel unit was okay but booked under handout saying that WiFi was available only to come and use unit and whole village has no WiFi and had booked and paid for 3 nights - left village after 1 night as we had to have WiFi access. No refund offered or given when advised that they had misrepresented facilities. Beware of this place - never again!!!

Visitors appreciate the well-maintained rooms, comfortable bedding, and the charming café serving delightful breakfasts. Additionally, the hotel is praised for its accommodating staff and event services, making it an ideal choice for hosting special occasions like weddings.
We had a great stay! We were upgraded upon check in and were granted a late check out. The room was wonderful, beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean and super tidy. The hotel itself was positioned perfectly near lots of shops, sights/attractions. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the hotel. 😁

There is room for improvement. For the price of your rooms you don’t offer a very luxurious environment. Central Plaza has the same rooms for a cheaper price. And Burke and Wills make your stay a lot nicer. Your service was great, very helpful. And the rooms clean and tidy. If you want to charge $600 bucks a night then you need to offer more to your clients. There wasn’t even a mini bar. All your soaps etc where in a bottle hanging in the bath room, although convenient gives off a 2 star vibe.

Nice hotel. We stayed for 1 night over the weekend. Very forthcoming staff. We could check in earlier and ordered sparkling wine for our anniversary upon arrival. We did enjoy the pool and gym. Would be nice if there were towels for pool seperately, we used the ones in our room but later discovered there were towels in the gym, so you probably can take from there. Rowing machine doesn't work in the gym, but overall it was pretty private and clean. Room was quite spacious. Loved the balcony. TV audio system/stereo is weirdly quiet. Had to turn up the volume quite high to hear anything. Shower area seemed a bit worn off and could've used more cleaning but overall we were pleased with our stay and of course the location is perfect. You can go anywhere with a walking distance. You can also park outside for free or for extra 15$ you can park in the garage.

I stay at Oaks apartment regularly when I travel so I booked to Oaks apartments in Toowoomba on my business trip. The receptionist was lovely and tried her best to help. We have booked 3 rooms that night. My colleague stayed there previously and loved it. It was clean and walking distance to everywhere. Well the state of the bathroom was disgusting in all 3 rooms. One shower still had wrappings of soap in there it has not been touched since the previous guest. My shower had mould all over the shower and green ring of mould in bassinet. Very bad!!! We asked the staff to clean it up before we come back from dinner. She said, well the cleaner will be here in the morning?? We asked to speak to the manager, he wasn’t available until morning. Someone went in the room to wipe over the bathroom and remove the rubbish from the previous guest…In the morning we spoke to the manager and he was acting very surprised and said he is very sorry and he will get back to us. We never heard from him again. We would never stay there again. They really dropped the level of standard for Oaks franchise!!

We recently booked two rooms at this establishment for an overnight stay while traveling to Dalby for a funeral. Unfortunately, our flight from Sydney to Brisbane was cancelled due to Cyclone Alfred and we were left unable to get to the funeral. Upon informing the hotel of our extenuating circumstances and the flight cancellation, we requested a cancellation or, alternatively, a partial refund. The hotel staff adhered strictly to their no-cancellation policy and were unable to offer any flexibility. Consequently, we were charged the full amount for both rooms despite our inability to utilize them. While we understand the hotel's need to maintain its policies, we were disappointed by the lack of flexibility given the unforeseen and significant circumstances. We believe a more compassionate response, such as a partial refund, would have been appropriate.

We had a two bedroom dual key apartment which we shared with another couple. It was great having separate access while still having an interior door we could access each apartment. This came in handy twice when one member of a couple misplaced his key and couldn’t access his apartment and then another time when his key didn’t work, so we could give him access to his apartment. The location was great, the pool was a perfect temperature in mid-winter and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will come back.

To note, the reason I am giving 2 stars is due to the lovely female receptionist who was doing her best. We normally stay at the Burke and Wills and really like it there, but decided to give Oaks a go because of the reviews. The check-in experience was okay, but as soon as we went up to the room, we noticed a huge stain (only part of it is pictured in the attached photo - it came all the way from the door) on the carpet that honestly looked like bodily fluid. We reported it to the receptionist and she referred us to the manager, who said that he knew it was from a previous guest and it wasn’t our fault. He provided a story about it being from some sort of cord and that they had cleaned the carpet with their materials, but we’re waiting for it to be professionally cleaned in a few days time. We were paying $299 for the room for one night and said that we weren’t satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. The manager responded that in his opinion the room was clean and all he could do is comp our parking ($15 a night) or refund our stay so we could stay somewhere else. As it was the night before the Toowoomba marathon, there was nowhere else we could book at the last minute, so we really had no other option than to stay in the room. The main receptionist was lovely, but the manager was frankly rude and didn’t seem to care at all that the room should never have been bookable in the first place. Additionally, breakfast was included in the price we paid, but is at the cafe downstairs where you order from a menu. The taste was good, but the portion sizes were way too small and not worth it. We will personally never stay at the Oaks again when visiting Toowoomba, which is a shame because I was really happy with the size of the room itself. There was also another negative review that was posted a few hours before our stay started, which makes me believe the manager didn’t care about our comfort at all. I have had much better service from other local hotels/motels (including ones that don’t market themselves as luxury).

Was checked in by a very nice front of house staff, the young lady was very professional and arranged my room and access. Rooms are nice with modern decor. Bathrooms initially look nice, but once you start looking around, it would do with a good clean/scrub. There is a QR code in the room with the writing on top saying room service. So I scan and check the menu out, but only to have to call the restaurant to order (what the purpose of the QR). So I call only to go through to an answering machine (wtf). I call reception and speak with the gentleman who advised I need to use the in room phone to order. Ok, my mistake. I use the inroom phone and push the preset button to the restaurant only to call reception. I spoke with reception again and advised that I followed his instructions to only get the reception again (gave some advice on getting maintenance to check out the preset button). Reception offered to take my order and get it down to the restaurant, which I was very grateful for, and thanked him for doing so. Reception mentioned that being a Tuesday, the order shouldn't take too long as the restaurant wouldn't be that busy. So an hour passes, and I call reception back to advise that the food still hasn't arrived 😒. Reception had forgotten to do what he offered to do. So room service and afternoon/night time reception is terrible 🙄. Don't know what time I will get any food. Would stay here again. I am happy if management wants to ask me any questions. I am happy to answer.

The best cocktail bar with the perfect atmosphere.! Absolutely love this place. Unique cocktails, delicious snack food, great service. Would definitely recommend trying a cocktail or four here.!

This was a new find for me and it was a wonderful almost hidden little gem. It's a true cocktail bar with almost exclusively serving unique and delightful cocktails. It has intrigue along with a little excitement of what may be arriving. I had a hot apple and cream cocktail and it was a delight. It's a place with a little difference and I really it and I am sure you will too.Booking is advisable!

Super attentive staff, cocktails (and pretzels) were absolutely delicious. Lighting is a bit darker and moodier which is really fun.

This hidden jem is in a little lane way tucked away, we walked in and was greated by the lovely female hostess, she took us to our seats. We ordered a platter to share (it was amazing) my friend got the French Champagne, i got the gin cherry sour this was really lovely. I then had the white mocha tini this was the best expresso martini i have ever had! We then went hope and came back a few hours later and had 3 more cocktails. I had a cocktail called eau de via it was, i then had brazilian monk it was a creamy flavour drink i would recommend it for a dessert drink. And then biscoff & barell was another creamy cocktail the last two cocktails was sweet but not over sweet perfection! This bar is run by a married couple so support the locals. Its amazing you wont be dissapointed

This gorgeous cozy little cocktail bar is absolutely amazing. It’s hidden away in a beautifully decorated lane way were they also have some outdoor seating. Unfortunately we arrived too late so where unable to get a seat inside. We chose to sit outside as it was the next table to become available. I was surprised to find that each outside table had its own heater which was wonderful. They also bring a free cup of pretzels for the table, such a lovely touch. I’m most definitely going to visit again. If you haven’t already, you should definitely check this place out . The atmosphere and cocktails that they provide are wonderful.

It takes a lot to win Regional Bar of the Year for AUSTRALIA! But there are many reasons why these folk managed to do it. Santé is my happy place. Superb and unique setting in a alley thoroughfare, with limited moody indoor seating. The drinks are impeccable works of art, far too complex for me to ever replicate at home, though I do keep trying 😄 and the service is something superior in Toowoomba. Just a fantastic experience every single time we go. We even wait out in the rain for a table when they're full - it's always worth it!

OMG.. the best cocktails and the faster service EVER. A must place to visit. Absolutely device and delicious. Starting with strawberry and fig spritz, Margo Margarita, Then Blood n sand Irish whiskey, with Margo daiquiri straight up. And finish off with scotch high ball and gin cherry sour. The bartender is super fast and he is amazing. The waiter's are amazing. A Must visit before dinner or chilled out with friends... Defo will come

Sante is the cocktail bar you take your friends to show them how cool Toowoomba really is. Loic is an award winning cocktail ninja and Alex is always the welcoming host. You don't need to go to Sydney for a sexy cocktail when there's Sante down the road (and if you're lucky enough, you'll get your own personalised coaster)

Lovely! Laneway speakeasy vibes ✨ I did a private cocktail making class here and loved it! Incredibly delicious, and left with the secrets to a perfect espresso martini. 10/10 would recommend. Chips, calamari and chicken were also yummy. Staff were kind, patient and knowledgeable.

Quite literally the best experience I’ve had at a bar ever! The food was incredible and the cocktails were beautiful and delicious. The staff and owners are incredibly kind and great to be around. Came here for a few cocktails, the cocktails are amazing. I had two i really liked the rose flavour one, and the pretty lady, We ordered the fried haloumi cheese they where not great at all the oil must have been old. The flavour where not balanced. My friend didnt like them at all. We shared a jaffle that was quiet nice. The staff are friendly. I would go back again and try other things off the menu :-)

Live music bar
Bodega is a unique speakeasy bar in Toowoomba, drawing inspiration from New York and Mexican culture. The venue features an underground playground for local live music acts with a cool grunge aesthetic and a secret entrance disguised as a regular fridge door. Once inside, guests are greeted by vibrant neon lights, flowing drinks, and great vibes. The bar hosts live music from Thursday to Sunday, creating an electric atmosphere that keeps the party going well into the night.
Where to start from the staff behind the bar to the musicians jamming One of the best nights out IV had in a long time and Counterfeit Hero's really put on a good show Have only been out in towoomba night life a few times since moving from the coast and all the elements from bodega are really up my alley, overall had a hell of a night celebrating my aunties birthday and enjoying some great service, drinks and music definitely a night to remember and definitely a go-to for a night out with the partner Also allowing bar staff to wear band tees and what they want really makes it feel like it's a basement jam sesh with the drinks live music and service Grand Experience, loved every second of the evening

Visit The Brewhouse, the latest addition to 4 Brothers Brewing located in the CBD. This independent brewery offers a wide range of legendary beers, from pale ales and IPAs to smoked beer and dark coffee porters. Open for tastings every day, it also hosts musical bingo nights with great atmosphere and friendly service. The menu features tasty and high-quality food, although some items can be overly spicy without sufficient warning.
Had an awesome lunch at The Brewhouse. The food was really yummy, and a great selection of different drinks. Even our puppy loved it, he was brought a big bowl of water as soon as we sat down and may have enjoyed some chippies. Will definitely be back!

We have been enjoying the musical bingo nights which are really well hosted. The atmosphere is great, and service very very good and friendly. Food is quite different. Need to research the menu and some items can overly spicy, something that’s not good for me but many others still enjoy. Just wish there was more warnings about this. It is very tastie and high quality which suite many.

Had lunch here with family. Had the Hills cider which was just sensational, everyone enjoyed their drinks. Daughter had a poboy and loved it, my son had the same and didn't like it at all. Can't please everyone. I had the chicken wings, thought they were sensational. Food was fairly priced and came out very promptly. Staff were efficient and friendly. Good atmosphere. Recommended

Great feed, highly recommend the big brother burger bloody fantastic, pulling the bone straight out of the brisket was so satisfying, the beer was great and cold. Would recommend this place to anyone that wants a great feed, cold beer, great tunes and dog friendly.

Love this place! So many flavours to choose from, every time I've been here, there's been new beers added. Awesome location to catch up with mates and say G'day to Adrian who's always keen to a chat! Can't go wrong here
Garion C — Google review
Rude servers. Won't be back. You'd think with hospitality struggling they'd have their act together. Total jerks. EDIT: The response by the proprietor of this establishment just confirms my original review. Firstly, I'm not an anti-vaxxer as I have had all my vaccinations. Secondly, I am a local and went to The Brewhouse last week. Lastly, the fact that I used to enjoy Bar Wunder is irrelevant. I enjoy, past and present, many venues in Toowoomba. This one, however, I have tried and will never return. Complete psychos.
