Firstly, the coffee. I am still looking for the best flat white in Norway. Det Lille Kaffekompaniet has come close but today the coffee was not hot enough. The coffee beans used had a very smooth and delicious flavor and the coffee was the correct double shot strength. The milk was creamy and that made the cappuccino enjoyable. Overall a good attempt and recommended. The service was good and they brought the coffee to you. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating for nice days.

My husband loved his flat white, and I had one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had. We also shared an oatmeal cookie that was fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious. The café itself is the cutest little spot — tucked away so that as you walk through the pathway, you stumble upon charming photo-worthy corners. It’s just adorable, and I loved everything about it. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in Bergen.

a nice little coffeeshop, I dont know if I just came at an unfortunate time, but the bakery ive had, did not taste fresh at all. The chai latte, and the cake on the other hand were really good, especially the cake.

Such an amazing coffee shop! The staff were all so nice and my iced latte was delicious. I love the views that you can get from the cafe and the little neighborhood is so adorable. Sad I didn’t get to try any pastries but my fault for going so late in the afternoon. Highly recommend!

Hard working crew here. Baked goods were tasty but the cappuccino was the star of the show. My only criticism is that there isn't really a good place to wait when it's busy as it's pretty tight in there, and you likely will be waiting at least a few minutes. Your best bet is getting your coffee and/or treat and finding a shady/quiet spot nearby to enjoy it.

The carrot cake was insane. Very nice selection of coffees and was reasonably priced as well. Not a lot of things to eat though. But amazing carrot cake, amazing cinnamon buns also. Also saw date muffins, oat cookies, and some sandwiches. The carrot cake was 85 NOK. Very nice place to relax and be with friends. Great experience!

My sister and I visited Det Lille Kaffekompaniet after reading that the café—or at least the building it’s in—has been around for over 200 years! That alone gave it such a charming, historic feel. It’s a tiny little gem tucked away in Bergen, and although the inside seating was full, we sat outside and actually loved the cozy atmosphere with the fresh air. We ordered a slice of their carrot cake topped with a creamy frosting that had a hint of lemon in it—absolutely delicious! Moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The highlight for my sister was the flat white, which was recommended by the super friendly barista. She loved it! You could really taste the quality of the coffee, and the milk was steamed just right. Even though it’s a small space, the staff made it feel warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of café that makes you want to linger and soak in the surroundings. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in Bergen and want a taste of good coffee, great dessert, and a cozy slice of history.

We ordered iced mocha, iced latte and hot mocha coffee. The iced drinks are bland (watered down by the ice?) But the hot drink was just the right taste. So maybe they should change the recipe for iced drinks to compensate for the ice? Huge space inside with a 2nd floor. They have selection of sandwiches and pastries too.

Good, local bakery and coffee house, perfect spot for a quick breakfast. The egg and avocado sandwich is very tasty. The two girls behind the counter are wonderful to deal with. Right in the corner of 2 intersecting street.

Entered 30 minutes before closing on my last night here as I had the cardamom bun and it was the best I had in the other branch (Flottmannsplassen). Worried that I couldn’t make it in time to enjoy sitting in the cafe to have it but the staff said that we could enjoy them in the store for about 30 minutes! Unfortunately, cardamom buns were sold out (understandable since it’s SO GOOD), so we got the cinnamon bun with custard instead and two hot drinks. Staff were all friendly and approachable even 15 minutes before closing, they’re still entertaining customers 🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you for making my last night in Bergen so memorable!

My V60 was slightly acidic (grind size a bit too big) and the wait time was 15 minutes when there were only 5 people in front of me because there was only one staff member on a Saturday morning during busy time, but on the whole decent. They have a good selection of coffees.

It really has the best flat whites I have one with soy next day with oat and both smooth and delicious. also had their toast with avocado and egg. The bread here is nice and thin but super filling and tasty. A great to find a small cafe instead of the touristy branded ones that serve mediocre coffee at best. ✨

The nicest service I had in Bergen so far🥰 good coffee ☕️ , avocado sandwich was fresh and tasty, scones was just out of the oven and served with butter and jam😋 I stayed there for a long time, and was able to work quitely with no disturb it was great 👌 highly recommend 😀

This coffee shop has a great atmosphere and the service is warm and welcoming. With their many awards, I came in expecting the coffee to really stand out. Unfortunately, the quality didn’t quite meet those expectations. I ordered a flat white – while the presentation was nice, the milk texture wasn’t as creamy as it should be, and the espresso tasted a bit plain and lacked depth. Overall, it’s a lovely place to sit and enjoy the vibe, but I feel the coffee itself could be improved to match the high reputation.

Great place to chill and read. Both the filter and V60 are delicious. They let you pick any of the bags they have to make you on a V60, so it's like a taste if you are looking to pick up a bag too.

We came in at 5:00 PM, which is a bit early for dinner there, but we had been traveling all day and had not had lunch. Thomas could not have been nicer and let us be the first guests for the evening in the dining room. Service was fabulous and dinner delicious. We had langostinos for a starter and my friend had the wolf fish and I had the green risotto. We came back the next evening for a drink in the bar in front. Also excellent.

This is my honest review of the restaurant Colonialen Litt in Bergen, Norway. This restaurant, located in the heart of Bergen not far from the fish market, offers a truly unique concept. It blends a restaurant and bar with an artist’s residence and library, creating an atmosphere that feels both creative and relaxed. Inside, you’ll find artistic touches and frescoes, while large windows give you a view of murals on nearby buildings. No reservation on a saturday, such a tourist move (that’s on us). Three of us if you include our baby boy so yeah of course fully booked but the very kind hostess offered the sofa - which I can really appreciate. Thinking in function of the restaurant and customer experience. It was great. Good atmosphere, vibrant and young staff and no nonsense good food. We will be back in Bergen, and we will be back in Litthus!

Tried their bubbles tasting with 6 types of sparkling in around 1,5 hours. Great selection so you a really got around to try. Entertaining and educational sommelier. Was a bit speedy for my taste, but not a rush.

By far the most delicious gastronomic experience in Bergen. Such delicious and creative food with plenty of tastes and textures, and such amazing service. Had a business lunch, and the waiter is not very responsive. Food is simple for lunch but decent, thus 4 stars. Their egg benedict looks great, but unfortunately I went for the mussels. I make better mussels so it didnt impress me much. Interior is not great, but if you like rustic style it is fine. Therefor only 3 stars for ambient and interior and 2-3 stars for service.

The space, food, views, and atmosphere were all great. Service was okay. We had the Cowboy and Benedict, both of which were delicious - though the Benedict was a little on the small side. Prices were average for Norway, with each plate costing about $20 USD.

Visited a few times on my trip, a great range to choose from and the baked goods are huge! The staff were really friendly too. They also have an outside area where you can buy drinks.

Enjoyed dining in at Baker Brun for breakfast with really friendly and cool staff. 😎 The total cost for all was around kr 250. Their "vanlige café" offers refills for just kr 15. The pastries were good and fresh. The pistachio bolle was tasty, though I think a slightly longer bake time could have made the dough more puffy, also the cream was soft and light with a hint of rum.

Lovely bakery in city center, located in a beautiful 2-floor old house. Works from early mornings. Many sandwiches and baking goods to offer. Quite expensive, as small sandwich costs around 130 NOK, but all was fresh and tasty. Life hack: take away prices are cheaper.

I've visited many Godt Brod Marken branches lately, but this one is my favorite. The staff is always friendly, service is great, and there is a good variety of options. It's also very clean.

Good and friendly service. I sat upstairs, and it was quiet. They let you stay for work/study as long as you need and do not bother you. Coffee very strong and good, cakes and sandwiches 🥪 were tasty and fresh. Highly recommend 👌

Neighborhood gem. We had lunch here and enjoyed the delicious, authentic Italian food. Had the pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms (no red sauce on it) and the pasta bolognese, which was perfectly cooked al dente and loaded with sauce. Our server was very friendly.

We enjoyed very good service and food here! Pizza’s and dough are all made to order and very fluffy. Most of the pasta is also made in-house and ingredients are Italian as well, not something you get at the supermarket! Proud Italian restaurant in Bergen.

Super convenient for eating out while staying at Comfort Hotel Strandgaten. Less than a minute door to door. Had a little sunny patio and plenty room indoors. Managed to accommodate a table of 9 on a Tuesday with a few hours notice. We had lots of different mains, arribiata pizza, rigatoni with pancetta, ravioli pasticiati, pappardelle and sides of garlic foccachia, everything arrived hot and was delicious and piping hot. We also had chocolate cake, limoncello sorbet and a tiramisu! Servers were exceptionally friendly and helpful, portion sizes were good and prices were very fair and not overly expensive compared to other restaurants we’ve eaten in this week. Plenty English speaking staff if you’re not local. Card payment available and helped us to split bill. Highly recommended!!

I went today at noon to the restaurant "Da stefano" in Bergen, Norway, and there was an older waitress, brunette with long hair, She was laughing from the kitchen and it could be heard throughout the whole place, it seemed so rude to me. Some customers came, but she was in the kitchen talking, and they left since she didn’t see them. The food was very good, the pasta was fresh, everything was wonderful except of the service. Their desserts and coffees are also excellent — it’s definitely worth going there to eat.

Really fantastic veggie-forward food. Best meals we've had in a long time for reasonable prices. Order at counter, you can't go wrong because everything is great but you can sample the soups. Good idea to make a reservation to be sure you have a table, as there are only ten.

So good. A great concept and so simple with veggies and legumes at the heart if the menu - a choice of 8 soup selections or nourishing salad bowl. The red thai soup and pickled cabbage was absolutely delicious. Perfect for a wet October day. So good we went back the next day too. Busy place which reflects how good and tasty the food is.

I was looking for a healthy food option and Daily Pot was the perfect place for this. They offer different options, including soups and bowls. Both meat and vegetarian options are available. The place was open relatively early compared to other restaurants in Bergen, so I could go for an early lunch. I loved the pumpkin soup. Three different sizes are available, and the medium option was relatively big already. You could add different toppings that make the flavour and experience even better. The waitress was helpful and really welcoming.

The food was so fresh and tasty, that we decided to have dinner at this nice restaurant two evenings in a row! First night we both ordered the meal soup. So many ingredients and so healthy. Wow! Ordered a meat pot soup and a meat power bowl. The soup is hearty and delicious. The meat is so tender that you hardly need to chew it. I love the power bowl. Its so goooood! Very tasty. Had a super satisfying meal.

Service is great! Food options are great and it tastes amazing!! It is also a great option for people with celiac disease or who eat gluten free. They take a clean slate and take ingredients from the packaging instead of the containers while making your sandwich so it is all really clean!! Love love love it, will definitely visit again. They also have gluten free pastries.

Great bakery that serves more than Good Bread. Huge cinnamon rolls with or without creamy frosting, scones inc a whole wheat version, pastries and savory treats. We grabbed some coffee concoctions and savory treats for our ride on the Floyen cable car. Accessible automatic door with one step up And no steps on side entrance. Grabbed a quick bite and was wowed by the taste! I ordered their signature cinnamon bun as well as a slice of bread with local specialty: brown cheese. The staff is very friendly and gave us suggestions on what to order. The inside of the bakery smells quite good and there’s a decent amount of indoor seating which was great considering we went on a rainy day.

Excited to visit this mall in Norway. It has a couple of home decor stores, clothing, and more. There is a grocery store on the lower level. It is spacious and clean. If you're looking for gift Ideas or souvenirs, this is an easy shopping destination.

It's a nice quite big mall located in the the heart of Bergen on a pedestrian zone. There are a lot of small and big shops inside like H&M. Beside there are number of restaurants and cafes. We entered just before closing time when they were about to close. Keep at least two hours aside if you want to enjoy this place. Worth visiting...

This is a surprisingly large (6 floors plus a basement) shopping mall with a wide range of shops that is a temple to consumerism. We had coffee and a fresh bun at a small stand on the ground floor which was quite delicious and deservedly popular. Go with money leave with goods but less money

It was my first time out in Bergen and Norway, so I don't know how this place compared to others on value for money, but as a place to enjoy a beautiful harbour view with delicious fresh seafood, it's hard to imagine anywhere finer. You can choose food from a wide choice of stalls on the inside of the building. I had a fresh baguette with three types of seafood: salmon, prawns, and some kind of pink roe in mayo. I was invited to carry my plate through to the heated glass terrace restaurant with panoramic views of Bergenhus Harbour. The waiters were attentive without being pushy, and it was a lovely place from which to enjoy Bergen Harbour shining in the spring 🌞

10 am to 4 pm. The good atmosphere and service were sweet. Strong americano. The coffee was good. I wanted to eat a Bergen cinnamon roll, and that was a different name on the bakery shelves. The cinnamon roll was fluffy and sweet. It has a yellow cream in the middle of that bread, that was very good. Wanna come back and try the other bread too. There are only 4 tables in the cafe, but you can to-go or eat outside (there are small chairs under a tree right in front of the cafe) Very nice. It was awesome that I tried Bergen cinnamon roll 👍

One of the best, if not the best, small cafe in Bergen. I love your kanelknuter; they are always fresh and have the best cinnamon taste. I hope you can have longer opening hours in the future.

Lovely petit cafe. It isn’t very comfy to sit in there but food and service were great.

Service is a minus 2000 (we waited 40 minutes for our coffees and just got annoyed Looks when asking kindly for them) and got them slammed into our faces without a face or an apology for the long wait. Pastry is a 10/10! Super delicious! However I got my fork taken away before finishing it lol.

So glad I made it here. The baked goods were heavenly! The skillngboller was soft and fluffy , full of fragrance of cinnamon. The brownie bolle was as sinful as it could be … so decadent ! All the viennoiseries on the shelves were all so tempting. The sourdough loaves were equally impressive. The owner brings milk from her own farm more than an hour away daily to be used in her baking! As a home baker myself, this little gem of a bakery is definitely worth a visit while in Bergen. Oh… did I mention their coffee is legit too?!

Amazing pastries, so buttery and crisp. The almond and plum pastry was so good I bought one of each of the others to take home. The blueberry and lemon one was equally divine.

Quite little place to get out of the rain for a bit. We don’t try any food, coffee only. We had mocha which seemed to be made from real cocoa powder and not syrup. Really good flavor but could have been hotter.

We stopped by Godt Brød Korskirken during our walking tour of Bergen with Ani today. We are visiting Bergen as part of our 17 day cruise through Norway and saw this bakery while exploring the city on foot. It looked so inviting and my friend had told me I absolutely had to try a traditional Norwegian cinnamon roll while in Norway so we decided to come in. Johanne was behind the counter and she was so friendly and helpful. In addition to the cinnamon roll she recommended we also try the raisin roll the cardamom roll and the award winning almond and custard roll. We ended up getting all of them along with a cappuccino for my husband two hot chocolates for our daughters and a chai latte for me. Everything was absolutely delicious. The almond and custard roll was my personal favorite with just the right balance of sweetness and texture. My husband and our older daughter loved the cardamom roll which had a beautiful aroma and a soft fluffy texture. Our younger daughter was all about the cinnamon roll and finished the whole thing on her own. The drinks were also excellent and made with care. The hot chocolate was rich and comforting the cappuccino had a smooth bold flavor and the chai latte was warm and perfectly spiced. The service was excellent and Johanne made us feel truly welcome. The bakery itself has a lovely atmosphere and is a perfect stop whether you are looking for a quick treat or a relaxing break during your time in Bergen. We are so glad we came here and would definitely return. This was one of those unexpected gems that makes travel so special.

Tried a few breakfast places, this one has been my favorite so far! The food was really 👍! The carrot cake, very juicy and rich in flavor. The sandwich, wich you create yourself "subway" style, all fresh ingredients that were super nice. And the lady who did the sandwich was a super sweetheart. Def. Going to come back before I leave bergen!

The school bread was the best we had since coming to Norway and we have had a few lol. We did order an ice latte and they gave us hot ones. They cafe also was very warm and would benefit from some air movement (hardly anyone has AC) but fans etc would help.

Worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood. But I wouldn’t recommend coming here from Bergen as I did. It was a tasty dessert, but nothing particularly special. Hot chocolate didn’t meet my expectations. It was just cacao powder with milk.

She’s the face of the store and makes us want to come back. She’s literally the best. Ask for her. You won’t be disappointed.

Delicious oat milk latte! The best thing is the fact that the cinnamon roll is vegan! It was so good I came back the next day for the same amazing treat! A perfect way to enjoy the ferry ride! Do yourself a favor and stop by this great bakery!

That goes for about 10 minutes, at some point I thought that he was describing all the processes like she is about to buy the business. Than instead of apologize he just said that he was taking care of a customer... And what was I?

This is a brilliant wine bar which reminds me of the new generationof Antipodean-led wine bars of London - very knowledgeable staff pouring a great variety of modern wines, including natural and low intervention. Bar food is fantastic and really well priced. If you are looking for a first rate wine bar with some excellent food - this is it.

One of the best meals I’ve had. Local ingredients, superb preparation and presentation, friendly and informed service without being over the top.

Poor, uninspired. Impossible to get a wine list in advance (first attempt without getting any response, second without getting a list, or reason for not getting one). ...which would have been fine if we didn't spend 3000 on wine that was served at the wrong temperature, with a decanter that didn't fit in the bucket, making it quite hard to cool. No question asked us about either wine or food the whole evening. Food was mediocre, too salty and far too expensive for what it was. They do have some good bottles, but seriously, your time is better spent elsewhere.

I am so glad we splurged for the 9 course tasting menu and wine pairing! The service was outstanding, the food was fresh and innovative, and the wine was exquisitely paired. My favorite part of the meal was the custom scent designed to smell like Bergen... They give you a scent souvenir after your meal! I think it is only a matter of time before this place gets a Michelin star!

This was our choice for datenight, and it delivered. The waitress was outstanding. Walked us through the menu and all the dishes. The food was excellent, period. As a beer man, this is the first time I experienced that a beer went ordinary to excellent with the food. For or a good meal or datenight, this is the place.

While it's a fairly empty-looking counter café, the staff were really nice & it was great to get out of the snow for a while. We had a jam doughnut & Nutella doughnut. Both were so soft & fluffy, & very generous fillings. I packaged half of mine up in a box to eat later! As Bergen is so small, it's not really that far out of central, & you get an excellent picture of the harbour from this side too. If you like doughnuts or sweet things, definitely worth a stop.

If you go there 2-3 hours before closing there’s a big chance they will no longer have much to offer: having only two types of doughnuts to choose from when it’s not even near the closing hours is in my opinion a little bit upsetting. The last time I went, I ended up getting a very mid Vanilla flavoured doughnut and an even more plain chocolate doughnut without filling inside… if you go in the morning you will ENJOY them though. Overall a little bit upset about it so hopefully they will try to bake in more badges

Best doughnuts in the whole world!! It’s right next to the harbor so you could see a beautiful view, including the famous Bryggen district. We got the apple fritter and the Nutella doughnut. They were really sweet and soft and had a generous amount of filling inside. In addition, the staff were really nice.

Best donuts I have ever had. I got the glazed, but I will definitely come back to taste the sugar cinnamon and apple ones. The one I got was super soft and light. It made me wonder if it was really fried since I often have hard time digesting fried food. The service is friendly, but I would have appreciated some free water. Limited seats.i would also appreciate a morning opening.

Best donuts in town! Actually one of the best donuts I've ever eaten. It's a little out of the way but do not give this place a miss. You will never regret making a detour or going out of your way. Soft and fluffy at the same time, with the right amount of sugar rush. Superb!!!

As an Italian, I can say by experience that here you can have one of the best pizza available in Bergen. The Italian chef Giovanni, together with the rest of the staff will give their best to let you have a relaxing evening with good food and drinks. The place is also very easy to reach being close to both 1 and 2 bybanen, definitely an experience to try!

Welcoming service was very friendly very informative and in all made a clean impression. I ordered of course, and alcohol free beer, which tasted very good indeed. The name of the alcohol free beer, I unfortunately have forgotten, smile. The food came in about 10 minutes after being ordered, and it was a delicious burger in the midday sun, which was suggested to me by the bartender who spoke perfect in English 😀 wow. The food was delicious as already been said and I definitely 💯 enjoyed the less time I spent in the Godt Beöd Kronstadt X restaurant.

Very nice and cozy restaurant and bakery in Bergens new business center on Kronstad. Very close to both ( metro 1 and metro 2, lines and stations ( maximum 200m). Settlet in very good place in Bergen few train stations from city center. Whole place is surrounded by windows and it is a very pleasant open space there. They have standard offer for Norwegian type of bakery but they also have very very good pizza. They have also delivery. Pizza is typical Italian style with very good ingredients, mozarela, rucola, ham etc.. Dough is very very good and much better compare to other offers in Bergen. Service is very fast and it takes just few minutes to deliver pizza at your table. Beer offer is standard for Bergen, from local brewery and there are also few apple juices from local producers. Prices are typically for Norway, Margherita start from 189, pizza with rucola and parmesan is around 250.. Pizza size is good for one adult person.. Furniture is nice and cozy and there is a flower shop so I can say that this restaurant represents kid of concept store.. If you want to eat one of best pizza in Bergen I recommend this place.. Pizza iz served from Tuesday to Friday from 15:30 so I suggest to ring and check if the kitchen is open before you come.. Bin appetite 🍕☕🍪🥧🧁🍺🍻🥃

Had the BEST CARDAMOM BUNS HERE! On a rainy evening, decided to stop by after a walk up Lovstien! Staff were friendly and had a very cosy and warm atmosphere inside. Outside was equally pleasant!

Very nice facilities. But unfortunately the service is not as good as the other Godt Brød cafés in the city. We were waiting a long while without any obvious reason to order. They'll give you a half cup of coffee and when you ask for a refill which is normally unlimited, they make sure to announce that you only have one refill for free. The day I visited, the two girls working there showed a suspicious and unwelcoming behaviour, which led to a feeling of unease for me and my family. So we will probably not come again.

A perfect spot at the bottom of the mountain! Was grateful that they open early at 7 and have lovely staff. Excellent coffee and food. Highly recommend and was on par with all the other fabulous cappuccinos I had in Bergen!

Very good bakery, the pastry are quite large and very tasty. If you are on a budget, on Saturday they also offer yesterday s pastry at discount price and as they are good quality, they usually still taste very good.

Lovely bakery. Got a coconut and vanilla custard pastry and a sourdough loaf. The pastry was delicious and the loaf of bread was soft and fluffy on the inside with a nice crust to it. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Coffee is nice, and bread is quite tasty. Clerks are friendly, and the restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and comfortable seating areas. They offer discounts for overnight pastries, which only cost 20 NOK each.

Service was slow. I ordered the '2 for 99' loafs of bread. Despite two signs advertising this, I was told that you need to be a member to order it. Neither sign made any mention of this. The staff were also quite dismissive of two other customers, and the bread was OK at best.

Ordered a chicken salad early in the day with no one else in the café. The salad was OK, but nothing to come back for. The waitress didn't bother bringing the salad to my table when it was ready, nor did she collect the plate after I was done even though I sat there for two hours. Whenever she was idle she was just using her mobile phone..

I had high hopes but was disappointed. For one they open late... I was hoping to catch a breakfast and passed several spots with determination to eat here only to wait outside for 10 minutes (was on my way to airport with luggage so could not walk anywhere else) until they opened at 10AM... What kind of breakfast place does not open until 10AM?? Although staff was friendly then the sandwich I got was not that good. Also they do not have wi-fi and explained that they are "old school" but come on... That is non-sense.

I went there at 2pm on a Saturday. It was chaotic busy the way a Starbucks is chaotic in the US, everyone expecting the their order fast. The staff was nice and the food good enough.

My fav cafe in Bergen 🫶🏽 you have to try their cruffin! I recommend pistachio💜 Hazelnut one was just ok. Cheesecake was to firm(?) like, it’s thick, not light as I normally cheesecake. We couldn’t eat it up as it was overwhelming. Matcha is nice! Recommend this place 🍰

Minimalist decor, nice atmosphere. Not too busy. Good simple selection of coffee, cake, donuts and more. This is nitpicking but the cheese cake could have been creamier and the donut a bit fresher. But loved that neither of them were overly sweet. Coffee was a bit too warm to be able to drink immediately, needed to wait for it to cool down.

I was excited to try a French bakery in Bergen - I have spent almost a year of my life in France. I picked one of my favorite pastries, the escargot. The ones I have had are not as soft as this one and the flavor of the filling was also lackluster. The service was friendly, a young and talkative Norwegian woman.

Today I had two nutella croissants. The dough is delicious as it should be. There were no problems with the staff, I will definitely come back.
