Fabulous place for afternoon tea, lunch or cake! The food is delicious and excellent value for money. Becky, the owner, makes you very welcome. Highly recommended.

Sunshine bakery was collaborative, creative and absolute perfection when designing and making my wedding cake. They even were kind enough to follow a specific recipe to create my husbands favourite childhood cake. Decoration was beautiful and the flavours were delicious. I often see lots of cake left over at weddings... not at mine! Everyone raved about it. The cafe is quaint and eclectic in decoration, and the selection of baked goods and treats has my mouth watering every time I go in! The people who run it are as sunny as the name implies. After just a quick chat with them I felt as if I had made new friends. A true local gem. I'm so grateful it is on my doorstep!

My third visit to sunshine bakery and never fails to be amazing, the staff welcoming to all their customers even the furry four legged ones and are always happy to chat with you, they carry out excellent hand hygiene especially after petting dogs. Lovely little local bakery with inside seating. So much choice for a great price. The service was impeccable, with friendly smiling faces! Loads of choices of hot and cold sandwiches and the halloumi fries were gorgeous. Great place for a catch up with friends. I will definitely return and tell others.

My son booked this wonderful place for my birthday everything was absolutely wonderful I loved the homemade bread and choice of hot or cold rolls The cakes were absolutely delicious The owners were such a delight thank you for making my birthday treat so special I will definitely return when I next visit my son

The cupcakes tasted absolutely delicious. I had the Lemon/ Blueberry and the Victoria Sponge. The atmosphere was fun and the woman working is super nice.

Fantastic, two Afternoon Teas to go for a birthday lunch, absolutely stuffed with lots of leftovers! Cup cakes and brownies to die for, seriously tasty sandwiches, scones with huge dollops of cream and jam and fresh strawberries, cheese scones .... heavenly!

We’ve visited a couple of times after a friend close to Garforth recommended the place. It gets very busy at the weekend so I recommend coming midweek or getting here early! It’s a sweet little shop in an unsuspecting area, next to the leisure centre. There are a big range of treats on offer with savoury and sweet pastries, and lots of gorgeous cakes and tarts. At Easter there were lots of eggs on sale too. You can buy a lot of the good stuff from the counter: the first time we went I ordered a mini chocolate mousse cake and it was absolutely to die for. Melt in the mouth and the silkiest creamiest mousse. It was so good I ordered a birthday cake for my husband. This was the “origine” cake which is layers of dark and milk chocolate cake and mousse. We were blown away by this - it was rich and creamy and more like a dessert than a cake. It went down extremely well. I ordered a medium which was about 6-8 portions; it’s very rich so you don’t need big slices. I think this will be a new go-to for birthdays for us, we couldn’t get enough of it and the ordering process was simple and easy. It was such a wonderful treat to be able to order such a high quality cake here in Leeds and was worth the 25 minute drive from the other side of the ring road. Actually, for that cake I think I would happily walk over hot coals the whole way just to get another slice. Beautifully presented and made with f great care. They also run cookery school sessions if you get a group together, which is something we might try in the future. Can’t wait to come back.

Sampled a croissant and a pain au chocolate today whilst passing….felt like I’d been whisked straight to France! Unbelievable flavour, buttery, flakey, light. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic pastry experience. Très bien Thierry

My first time today at this gem. I sampled some of the patisserie which were all light, not overly sweet and delicious. Thierry the owner is welcoming and comes across well. I will definetly be back to sample more delights. It was well worth the 30 mile drive this morning.

Probably the best patisserie in Yorkshire at the very least. Absolutely incredible selection of wonderful treats from trays of small sandwich platters through to some of the most wonderful desserts you have ever seen or eaten.

My partner and I have visited twice in the last month, and each time have been bowled over by the quality of Thierry’s breads and pastries. For context, we live two hours away: our first visit was for a birthday treat and the second was because….the pastries are worth the two hour drive! :) The almond pain au chocolat is INCREDIBLE and I would also highly recommend the little cake covered in chocolate as the mousse inside is just insanely good. The sponges are beautifully light and nothing is too sweet so flavours are perfectly balanced. The breads are full of flavour and highly recommended! I also purchased some of the chocolate drops to bake with and have yet to do so, but a quick nibble test confirmed the high quality. The best patisserie I’ve found outside France itself! Thierry is so lovely and very passionate about his produce, which is lovely to see. We will be back! (Only one photo because everything got devoured before I remembered to take photos!)

Unmissable - even if it seems a little out of place you’re going to have to give this a go - bread and sweet treats to take away. They do savoury tarts, sandwiches and more amazing stuff - the real deal

Lovely place, lovely people, great food! Street Lane Bakery is a little gem. I found it through a friend who goes regularly, and have been twice in the last few weeks. The bagels are perfect, the pastries are great and they do all the usual coffees (and tea) as well as some soft drink cans. Beautifully presented and freshly made. The car park is only small, so it can get a bit full. The toilet is accessible, although if you are sitting inside, you get to it through the bakery - which might explain why one review commented on people going into the back. Very clean though!

We frequently nip in to this bakery for a treat. Today we came a bit late in the day (12:30ish) and picked up a poppy cholla and a lotus doughnut. The poppy cholla was great - lovely and light with a good crust. This was £3.30 if I remember and it was a very healthy sized loaf for that price. These loaves also keep pretty well for the next day if you have enough self-control (I don’t) The doughnut was £5 and by far the most expensive doughnut I’ve bought in Leeds - and we’ve tried a lot of them! Sadly, the price just isn’t justified for the doughnut. But perhaps we are in the minority as this was the last one on the shelf so clearly the rest of Leeds disagrees with us! The dough was fine, the filling was quite sickly but then again, lotus biscoff is quite a sickly flavour. If I’d paid £2 for this doughnut I wouldn’t have been disappointed but £5 is extortionate in my opinion! We were quite slow to be served, but they were quite busy with other orders so we didn’t mind waiting. We’ll continue to visit, and I’m dying to sit in the cafe and try a bagel. I’d also recommend going nice and early in the day so there’s plenty of choice. The car park is full of potholes and very small so just park around the corner where the fish and chip shop used to be and save your chassis.

Absolutely wonderful bakery selling my family’s favourite bread Jewish Best loaves which is impossible to get anywhere near me. They also do plaited rolls, stunning proper bagels - all are great but the poppy seed are my favourite, followed by raisin and cinnamon which just have the most amazing flavour. They have sandwiches, stunning huge donuts, a selection of other cakes such as brownies and blondies. They also do boxed salads to take away. You can choose your leaves, olives, gherkins, salad vegetables and topping. I had egg mayonnaise and can happily state that it was the best salad I ever had.

Best salmon bagel I’ve had! There’s a great range of breads, sweet treats and fresh deli options as well. The team are very friendly.

A bit of a mixed bag. The bagel fillings are quite basic and limited, and the actual bagel was a bit too hard and crispy for me, however the cinnamon slice was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming and had a real community feel.

Great little place. Lindsay, Ell and Joel are very helpful & friendly. The bagels and cakes are delicious and they have a great outside eating area when weather is good.

Very good smoked salmon bagel and Bakewell tart, if a little pricey. I'm disappointed that food and drinks are served in disposable cups, plates etc.

A somewhat misleading sign that made us think that there was a bagel and drink for 1.50. What it actually meant was a drink was 1.50 if you also bought a bagel. The coffe wasn't that good anyway.

I was next in line and as soon as I approached the counter to place my order the not so subtle worker immediately turned and ignored me to go and start a conversation with her colleague. Her beautiful black colleague who clearly understands basic manners greeted and attended to me as a customer which was greatly appreciated. Not the first time I've experienced them being incredibly moody and ignorant but I assumed maybe it was me overthinking, what a real shame to see others in the reviews experienced the same. How awful to be known as a bakery with workers who quite clearly pick and choose who they are pleasant to and who they aren't. Congrats to employing a person of colour who doesn't ignore customers unlike the others who seem to attend work in a mood to racially profile.

Fabulous breads and cakes call in every time I’m in York and to be fair any one who doesn’t like it stick to normal bread you obviously don’t have any taste because this is proper sourdough 🥰👍🥰

A fantastic bakery! The 7-seed sourdough is now the only bread I’ll eat! It’s delicious and soft with a chewy crust. Toasts well and freezes well too. The staff are friendly. While it’s expensive bread, the quality justifies the cost. Get there by midday if you want the full selection as it can sell out quickly.

Went for the second time today and there was a disgustingly rude lady there who claimed to be the manager. I was waiting in the queue behind two people and when my turn came, she completely ignored me and went to serve people behind me. I told her that I was there before and she acted like she didn’t see me, her acting skills were terrible she knew very well I was there before. The man who took my turn said that I was on my phone, which I was although I was looking up from time to time and as my turn came I approached the till and the lady completely ignored me and went to him instead. It was almost as if the man was trying to say that he has every right to push in because I was on my phone??? What happened to queuing etiquette???? I felt like this was extremely racially motivated behaviour and I will not be going again. If you’re a POC, avoid this place and make you’re bread at home.

Purchased for the first time today. Bought a ciabatta and sour dough to serve to guests. Everyone commented on the taste and agreed the bread was so much nicer than any supermarket bread (even the 'artisan' versions). Crusty outside and chewy middle - delicious! Will now be my go to bread place.

Really lovely baked goods, the bread is superb and so are the brownies. They do often sell out so get there quite early if there is something specific you want. Staff always very friendly. Accepts card payments 👍

A fabulous tea room. I used a gift voucher and pre booked as it was my first time in Leeds The afternoon tea was amazing. The ambiance was perfect , loved the the decor , the gorgeous Vintage tea pots, cups and saucers and embroidered tablecloths Everything was beautifully presented. The sandwiches were freshly made with delicious homemade scones and many varieties of cakes They cater very well for dietary requirements, I had pre ordered a gluten free afternoon tea for my husband. He was very impressed with the quality and choice of the sandwiches and homemade scone and cakes The young lady who served us was lovely, so attentive and welcoming Thank you for a memorable experience

Fresh and homemade selection with their afternoon tea. A wide tea selection on their menu available for take away as well as whilst dining. I did book in advance using a voucher and would definitely return. The scones were incredible, we were given an option from the cakes and we're happy with what we picked. Not very large so if a big group definitely book in advance. Have locally knitted / crocheted blankets incase you get cold whilst here.

I've been here before and really enjoyed it but the reception yesterday was poor. We were looking for somewhere to have a cup of tea and had a little girl with us who wanted ice cream. They only serve ice-cream in the milkshakes, so said no they couldn't serve ice-cream on its own .... honestly! There wasn't another customer in the place. We left. How hard would it have been? Clearly they're well off for business and don't need customers.

Amazing place! Did a little girly baby shower afternoon tea and the staff was super helpful and the food was so yummy with pleasing fussy eaters. I got 2 little kids afternoon and they loved it! We went for traditional and Caribbean and everyone enjoy them. My personal fav was the scones, Yumm! With it begin a baby shower I was able to pre-order non-alcohol drinks. Would deffo recommend for any occasion or just a pop in during the week. Thanks so much!

Great friendly staff and great atmosphere especially upstairs! The food menu is very solid too with vegan and vegetarian options! The vegan sausages were top notch and the beans were tasty and a good portion. Best breakfast/brunch for sure.

Food was stunning. Dog friendly. Staff were kind and understanding, able to make small changes to the food such as taking bacon of the burger. Yorkshire pudding was amazing.

What a delightful Sunday lunch! The ambience was wonderfully relaxed, and the service could not have been better. It was the perfect setting to enjoy fantastic food and good company—an excellent bar to relax with friends or alone, and even dog-friendly.

Massive praises for the most dog friendly place ever! Been here twice recently & both times the dogs have been given as good a meal as I have had, on the house! There are also dog treats on the bar & water has been provided for them both times without me having to asking. The food itself is very tasty, with the breakfast butty being a winner I imagine at such great value. The homemade bread is lovely & different however I do think the rest of the sandwiches being over double the cost of the breakfast butty is a bit much... which is why I never order them I think. The vibe is very relaxed which I like with lots of different options for seating. Just be mindful that the kitchen is not open on certain days of the week, if you're going for food. Service is friendly, kind, quick & helpful. Thank you, we'll be back for sure!

I normally have a really good experience at trinity kitchen but today I decided to try a new food truck they have called ‘Asian heat Mexican Street’ and I ordered the birria ramen. When the bowl initially came out it looked pretty good and I let it sit for around 2 minutes whilst it cooled down a bit because their food is all extremely fresh. However when it came to eating it I found there was no broth under the noodles despite it being on the menu description, the meat was dry and there was barely even any meat just fat leaves of bok Choi and an excess of noodles. They were dry and sticky and I ultimately couldn’t eat it as I literally got given plain noodles with no flavour. The service was lovely however and the workers were so nice so all they need to work on is their menu items. Please don’t go here and get the birria ramen as I have been left very disappointed and mourning my waste of money since I’m still hungry after eating there. They also had really lovely chips so good on them for doing that right as well.

This place is amazing lots of.choice under one roof something for everyone. There is a lot of seating depending on the time of day the wait for food isn't too bad. Busy times, however, expect a 20 min wait. If you can't wait, I would highly recommend the make your own taco

What a lovely place! The staff is adorable and explain the menu to you. I went with my hubby, sister and a friend. They all loved it. The food is gorgeous, so tasty! I absolutely love this place, im not sure if its just the way I get in, but you could easily miss this hidden gem if you was walking through the trinity supermarket. Food choices are excellent and the food i have had in this place is easily 5*. Well worth the visit. A must if your in leeds.

Cozy place for fresh coffee and food! Spacious but with lots of seats both inside and out. Different brunch menus then your typical 'go to' might serve but very tasty and would definitely eat again. Jake was very attentive to our baby and made everyone feel welcome. I had the salt and pepper hash with extra halloumi (see picture) with an iced speciality coffee

I recently visited Mill Kitchen in Farsley and was absolutely blown away! I had two slices of sourdough topped with homemade beans, cheddar cheese and spring onion the flavours were amazing, and the sourdough was incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff were also very welcoming. I’d love to go back and try some of their breakfast and brunch dishes as they looked really tasty.

Lovely place for food and drinks. The bakery section looked fabulous too. We had a breakfast which was amazing. Good to see homemade baked beans and quality produce. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere too. Lovely decor. Very clean and everything was well presented. Wide range of food and drinks available. Outside seating too.

There's a good brunch range and bakery and the cafe is lovely and light inside. However for me, the prices are quite expensive for the size of portion. I got one slice of sourdough with some brie and grapes on it and it cost me £9.50. Also, when it's busy, it's almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting as it's so noisy inside. Like so many places these days, there are zero sound absorption materials or soft furnishings, so not a good place if you have someone in your group hard of hearing.

Fantastic place for lunch. The cafe is heaving so they are doing something right. We had a Moroccan dish and mushrooms on sourdough. 2 flat whites ( top marks 😀) Service was speedy but super friendly. We took away an enormous slab of carrot cake as well. Delicious. Keep doing what you're doing. Shame that I live in Northumberland or I'd be here every week!!

My partner and I went in for Sunday Brunch. Wonderful food, lovely smiling service, and a cute British small village feel. With a wide variety on the menu and drinks list, you’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy. Took a chance & tried the “Kim Chi pancakes” and they were FANTASTIC! Please tell the chef that was a wonderful and unique creation and tasted Excellent ! A great place to visit with friends, pop in for a quick bite to eat, stay and work from your laptop, bring your dog. Very friendly atmosphere.

the “truffle bacon mushroom HASH” was just a plate of halved new potatoes covered in truffle smelling grease, with 3 confetti sized bits of bacon for £11 - outrageous. Kids liked the pancakes, but 2 small pancakes for £5.50 I’d argue is over priced. good coffee

Really nice, fresh food. Good taste cooked perfectly really enjoyable brunch. Would be nice to have a meat options. Coffee was nice and the staff were great, extremely friendly and helpful. There’s not loads of tables and some are usually reserved so worth checking before you plan a visit to not be disappointed.

This is a great place. I’ve been here a few times over the years, and it’s gone from strength to strength. I’m glad to see they’ve made a success out of it. The food here is nutritious and delicious, and the place has a definitely family and local feel. I’d especially recommend the shakshuka.They also do great plant based coffee and they are dog friendly. I’d definitely come back here.

Great little Vegetarian Cafe, friendly staff making you feel very welcome. Nice lunch time menu.Love the green cups, plates and bowls. Check out the cake and specials boards. I have a latte and a slice of carrot cake. Then had the butternut squash and carrot, and the garlic mushrooms on toast. Very nice seating inside and outside. The even have a jar of dog biscuits for dogs. How cool is that. Cafe has free Wi-Fi as well.

I had a lovely dinner with friends last week. I have coeliac disease and so gluten free. We let them know beforehand and they got me some gf pita in. It turned out there was only one thing on the menu I couldn't eat which is rare. The food is Tapas so we had a bit of everything. It was fantastic as was the wine. The owners were great too and very much looked after us. I thoroughly recommend.

Travelled 4 hours for these doughnuts and they did not disappoint! I haven't been able to have them since they left London, and decided for my birthday I needed them again. We were warmly welcomed and the staff were super friendly. The doughnuts were just as good as I remembered. The softness, flavour, and freshness of the doughnut is unmatched. The chocolate ganache, perfectly balanced with respect to milk and dark chocolate, and a glorious velvety consistency. The raspberry jam, again. perfectly balanced but with respect to sweetness and tartness (very different to the overly sweet stuff you get from other jam doughnut)! Also, and importantly, the doughnuts are PROPERLY filled - in want filling in each bite, which Doh Hut definitely delivers. Best doughnuts ive had in the UK hands down - please come here!

If you love filled donuts, Doh’hut is a must visit! They serve the style donuts we all dream about, but with a distinctly British feel, think jam or custard-filled donuts, only on a whole new, indulgent level. I tried two donuts, the Chocolate Filled Brownie and the Butterscotch & Angel Delight. Both were absolutely amazing, packed with so much delicious filling. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the donuts themselves were cooked so well. I was so impressed I even asked the staff how long these could last, I was tempted to take some all the way back home to South Wales! Freshness is key, and these are definitely best enjoyed straight from the shop. If you’re in Leeds and love donuts that go above and beyond, Doh’hut should be top of your list.

The store, the people and everything about this place is lovely! I also like the fact that it’s not in a crowded place that it gets its cool and relaxed vibe 😄 Honestly the best part I find is the people are warm and the donuts ooze the same warmth. The specials every week keeps me coming back.

My favourite coffee shop in Leeds! The donuts are incredible and freshly made and honestly the best donuts and coffee I’ve ever had. Yet to try the sandwiches but feel confident they will be just as delicious!

Great donuts, probably one of the best I’ve had. Just right sweetness level and chewy dough, although I’d say the donut skin is a bit too thin and there’s a lot of filling. The cheesecake donut with raspberry and white chocolate, filling was raspberry flavoured, even though it had a lot but didn’t feel too heavy. They don’t do chai latte sadly, only coffees

Doughnuts are out of this world! Lovely little shop, great selection of doughnuts and drinks. Vegetarian/alcohol free but do ask when there are any specials on. Favourites are the creme patisserie and the chocolate ganache. 4 stars as i found the customer service to be quite aggressive. You made me feel very belittled and that you couldn’t be bothered to serve me again. Would i visit again? Of course, but do keep the bad mood in the kitchen next time. Sorry to have disturbed you!

Very impressive gluten free food! I couldn’t believe the bread was gluten free, had to be the best gluten free bread I’ve tried by a landslide - very delicious! Wish I’d bought another loaf! The cupcake was delightful and tasted like normal cake, if the cafe wasn’t a dedicated gluten free cafe, I’d have been convinced there was gluten. The gluten free biscoff spread is delightful, and takes a lot of will power to not eat the whole jar - very tasty on porridge! The salads are nice too. Quite a noisy environment. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant. A coeliac’s paradise!

This place has a fantastic selection of gluten-free products, which is what initially drew us in. The menu is impressive, and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into catering for dietary needs. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the service. Despite only two other tables being occupied, the food took a long time to arrive. The staff seemed uninterested, unfriendly, and frankly looked like they were just going through the motions. In a café or artisan bakery, the atmosphere and energy of the staff are just as important as the food. A smile and some enthusiasm go a long way, and sadly, that was missing here. Overall, great gluten-free choices—but service and attitude need serious improvement to make it a place worth returning to.

Very comfortable cafe with friendly staff. There are plenty of toys for kids, which makes it perfect for families. The coffee was delicious! The donuts were a bit sour for me — not really my taste, but everything else was nice. A good spot to relax.

It is a nice place for a cup of coffee or tea with their good range of cakes. Lots of toys and play area for children. So you must come and enjoy the aroma and atmosphere. The girl is wonderful.

I couldn’t resist travelling out of my way a little when I heard about this place and I certainly wasn’t disappointed! It’s hard to believe everything is Gluten Free here when it looks and tastes so good! Took some cake away but statues to enjoy a toastie, quiche and a cup of coffee 🥰 Whether you are Gluten Free or not you will certainly enjoy the food :)

Absolutely beautiful bread, and amazing friendly staff. I'm eating a slice of teff bread now, untoasted with nothing on it and it's delicious! Can't say that for Most other gluten free breads. The other baked goods I've tried have also been delicious.

Pastel de natas here are to die for. Tiramisu is good as well but omg the custard tarts!!!!! 😍 Always go back for them. Coffee is great as well but I'm not too big of a drinker so...the Iced Spanish I had was great though. Like a latte but sweeter and richer.

Today I visited this café and there was a small issue with the order and billing — I was given the wrong item. However, when I returned to speak with the staff, they handled it very professionally. One of the team members, who was slightly taller, had an amazing attitude. She was extremely polite, respectful, and solved the problem quickly without showing any sign of frustration. On the contrary, she was impressive in the way she dealt with the situation. Truly excellent service!

I had a really great experience at the café recently! The pastries were delicious—fresh and full of flavor—and the flat white was smooth and well-balanced. Service and staff were amazing. I’m definitely looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu options next time.

Amazing place, absolutely love and come back to. The focaccia sandwiches are great, the Mortadella could do with some pesto/more flavour but the Focaccia caprese is great. It’s always busy with a great atmosphere in a lovely little square with seating outside. Would recommend !!

I had a disappointing experience. The female staff questioned my friend for sitting inside even though she had clearly purchased a latte in her reusable cup. Later, I ordered a polo focaccia, which was priced at £6.50 on the display. However, I was charged £6.95. When I pointed it out, the same staff member simply said the listed price was incorrect—no apology, no refund of the difference. It’s shocking that customers are expected to bear the consequences of the pricing errors. I think I won’t be returning.

Worst customer service and overrated food. Visited here for the first time on the 25th July, ordered 3 sandwiches and a bottle of water. There was a man standing behind the counter who looked to be around 50-60 with grey hair, when we took our sandwiches to the counter, he was just staring at us with a foul look on his face, he then punched in some numbers into the card machine and turned the card machine towards me, I asked if the sandwiches could be toasted, he didn’t utter a word, just handed them to the young employee behind him. This is single handedly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, the man did not utter ONE word to us in the entire interaction, and looked disgusted by us (we are Asian if that was his issue - not sure?). I left feeling annoyed that we had given this business our money. And to top it off, the sandwiches (chicken and avocado) were so dry we did not even eat them, who on earth makes a sandwich and doesn’t butter the bread or put some kind of dressing in there, dry chicken, with some avocado between bread, amazing.

A famous saying says: "Good, quick, cheap: pick two." Bakery 164 manages to hit all three. Good: quality ingredients, skillfully composed, with variety added by a rotating sandwhich of the day. Quick: Take your sandwhich as-is and be in and out in under a minute, or get it toasted at a slight delay. Cheap: Most sandwiches cost a 5er or less. You can get something cheaper at Gregg's, but nowhere near the same quality, and the prices are very competitive compared to other options on this busy street.

BEST SANDWICHES EVER IN THE WORLD. One of the best thing around Leeds Uni. Any, anything from them are just amazing. It is so fulfilling and tasty. Good selection with cheap price (considering the portion!!). You can easily be amazed and satisfied by their sandwiches. During the peak time there are so many students. If you go later in the day basically there is nothing left!! Fresh bakery every day! OMG I will love their sandwiches forever.

One of the best places in Leeds for espresso. High quality selection of pastries and great service. This is a great spot for some quick out-of-office work, as they have fast internet and access to easy computer charging. Highly recommend!

I was excited to visit this coffee shop as it seemed to be right up my street. I tried a filter brew made using the Clever dripper. It came a few minutes later. I should have had a flat white or double espresso. The filter brew was very under extracted or else hard to brew well based on how the beans were roasted. This is sadly a common issue in specialty coffee shops. The staff weren't the most friendly. I'll revisit and try an espresso because I really like the relaxed atmosphere of this coffee shop. Somewhat recommended.

Another excellent coffee spot ! First time I've visited, but certainly won't be the last. It's a five minute work from the main shopping areas,but absolutely worth it. Was served by an experienced and enthusiastic barista and it showed in the coffee. Highly recommended for those who are fussy like me. Great range of filter and pour over coffees. Certainly worth visiting. Atmosphere was excellent and a cosy spot to chill. Thankyou ! Oh and the hot chocolate and Almond croissant was excellent too! An independent business which needs supporting.

Had an absolutely lovely experience at Stage yesterday, I had a mocha and it was easily one of the best coffees I’ve had in Leeds! Also, the barista with a hat on talked me through the retail and advised me on grinders which was a massive help! Thank you for all your help! Will definitely be coming back again soon!

We stayed at the Queens hotel over a weekend as a couple and a dog. If you like Art Deco you'll love the hotel which has a classical style. The interiors of the public spaces on the ground floor are also well maintained and gorgeous. Even the staircases have a kind of shabby 1930s chic. We had a room facing the square on the first floor. The room was clean, well laid out, modern but sympathetic to the architecture and spacious. Windows were steel with secondary glazing and there was a little noise (Leeds is not a quiet city) but nothing to bother us. We didn't have a bath and the shower cubicle was fine, albeit a bit claustrophobic (and why can hotels NEVER manage to have showers that don't leak all over the floor). The hotel doesn't charge anything extra for dogs but equally isn't able to provide things like bowls for water etc (for "hygiene reasons") so come prepared. Staff were helpful and friendly, including late night security on the door. The hotel is right by the station, and has a connecting entrance, so is very convenient. No parking at the hotel but there are discounts at local car parks. I would definitely stay here again.

I love the Queens as a building, and I’ve stayed several times. But this time we were disappointed. The room was comfortable and well decorated but not well looked after. The bathroom was not properly clean with chipped paint on the door frames and tiles that hadn’t been cleaned properly. Even though I checked out well ahead of time, housekeeping will already trying to get into my room after I came back from breakfast and I felt that they were deliberately trying to rush me out. We were also really disappointed to find that room service finishes at 9 pm. So we tried the bar, to find that the bar food also finished at this time, And also that despite the hotel website saying that the restaurant is open until 1 am, we were told it had finished serving at 9:15, just after we got there. I realise the bar and restaurant are run by a different company but they are advertised as part of the hotel and so the fact that the staff there were offhand and unhelpful, bordering on rude does reflect back on the hotel itself. It also really isn’t acceptable that a hotel of this advertised quality does not provide any food after 9 pm at night. We’ve been back and stayed in Leeds since. We stayed somewhere else that is less beautiful and outwardly swanky. But the service was much better and the rooms were much cleaner and that is where we will stay in Leeds in future.

We stayed at The Queens Hotel in Leeds twice during our UK trip and both stays were very good. We were given quiet (as requested) spacious rooms with comfortable beds and good bathrooms with great showers!. The rooms had large TV’s and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was included and was satisfactory, though the coffee was disappointing (luckily plenty of coffee shops nearby). Reception staff were excellent—friendly, personable and professional.

Amazing experience last night at this hotel for our wedding anniversary. Such a beautiful place, decor and architecture of the building is amazing. Couldn’t stop looking at it. Staff were exceptional. So kind and attentive. They left us a lovely gift for our anniversary. So kind . Will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay perfect 😍 xx

A very good room price that included breakfast and a bottle of prosecco. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and in a quiet situation. There are no phones in the room so contact within the hotel is via the Internet, facilitated by a QR code on the hotel card. The staff were very friendly and efficient throughout the hotel although Dean, who changed our tv remote deserves a special call-out. He was super quick, very efficient and extremely welcoming. The breakfast was of a good quality and well cooked. This all added up to a very enjoyable night away.

Support your local farmers. Buy your produce directly from the farms! We went to Goodalls for the famed ice cream and it was a great experience. It's a farm shop with enclosures for alpacas, goats, chickens, cows, ponies and sheep which you can pet but not feed. The ice cream was indeed rich, flavourful and not small in portion sizes. We tried the coconut, chocolate, double cream, apple pie and hocus pocus. 3x double-scoops and a triple scoop. A pleasant afternoon and £19 very well spent.

A really nice place to visit with cafe and lots of ice cream flavours to choose from. Reasonably priced and the manager serving was friendly. Nice area outside to sit and a little play area for children and the added bonus of being able to visit some animals too! We will definitely be back 😊

Food is good quality, higher than your average takeaway and better than the local competition, which therefore justifies the slightly higher prices. The upstairs seating area is very atmospheric but be warned it's a small place so there may not be room to eat in. Also a prime location. It loses marks for some poor value items on the menu - for instance, mint tea which you get a whole pot and free refills of hot water at Kadas next door, yet here you get a tiny unsatisfying glass.

I always enjoy the food here, but they've never given me my complete order. On my most recent visit the Falafel burger was missing halloumi, there wasn't any flat breads with my hummus (I had to eat it with a spoon), and they waited until all my other food was ready to tell me that they didn't have the salad I wanted. As it was a takeaway order, I didn't I know I was missing items until I got home. Such a shame that they aren't fussed about serving up the dishes as per the menu. However the Moorish burger was very tasty.

The wraps from here are amazing and so full of flavour however our most recent trip they 'forgot to do the chips' so gave us hot potatoes instead, they were okay but a little disappointed with the service. Luckily the flavour of the wrap made up for it but the hot potatoes were far too hot

I thought this place was lovely the food was great and the cozy feel of it really jelled with me. The food was lovely and filled me up very nice. The price of the food was also very cheap and, I wish a place like this was near me. Overall a lovely experience but the one little down side was the upstairs seating room was a little cramped and I think could be organized better.

The food is always delicious the various times I have been over the years, really some of the best food of its type I have ever had and truthfully somemof the tastiest food period. I like the quirky system of ordering at the window outside and that it's such an intimate space upstairs if you can get a seat. The only few minor quibble is sometime back they switched to high stools for seating, they are not comfortable and too high for the table you eat at, squeezing even my stick legs under the table is not easy. A true gem of Leeds, still unknown by many.

Had an absolutely awful experience with the staff on the 3rd August. We ordered 3 chicken shwarmer wraps, and they came back all with completely burnt chicken, which tasted like charcoal. We returned the wraps, stating the issue, and after waiting a further 20 minutes we were given new wraps which had chicken in the first 20% and then potato as a sneaky substitute in the rest of the wrap in all three of our wraps. After returning and showing them the potato and asking for a reason why they put it there I was met with such unprofessionalism and disrespect from all three of the employee I genuinely felt disgusted. I'm a massive fan of Caravanserai, and have been there for the past three years and met with nothing but fantastic food and fantastic service. But today they dishonored themselves with such disgusting service and rude and disrespectful staff.

I love all of their bread and cakes so I order about 6 loaves at a time and freeze them. I love the wide range of flours, seeds and nuts they use. All organic and locally sourced when possible. The bread is so delicious and is beautiful to taste and smell. A loaf usually lasts me about five days and all their bread keeps fresh. If there is a little piece left, I make breadcrumbs so every lovely bit is used. This bread is not expensive as the loaves are twice the size of-supermarket sour doughs etc and far far superior in taste and texture. The shop on the bakery site has developed over the years and now is a place of visual delight and wonderful aromas. I highly recommend a visit to the shop. They will deliver to certain post codes in Leeds.

If you like real bread this is the place to go. They have a good choice of different sourdough breads and some pastries, cakes and foccacia. Everything is so fresh and tasty,not comparable with supermarket bread. This place definitely worth a visit even if it's in some industrial zone. Staff is very kind and friendly.

Lovely people, brilliant bread and pastries - a bit on the expensive side. It's worth it as it's such good quality, just wish I could afford to stop here more regularly. No absence of queues, even with limited opening and an out of the way location, which demonstrates how great this place is, and how committed people are to this Co-op. Really amazing bread, dense and flavourful, the sort that makes you wonder why you ever ate your usual loaf. A little slice of heaven 😇

I've been eating Leeds Bread Co-op sourdough for years and it's always been consistently good. I've been picking up pre-ordered goods from the shop since lockdown and really like the cardamom knot as its not too sweet or sickly to have for an early breakfast. I hope they're around for years to come

The best baked goods you'll find in Leeds, from the loveliest man with no official training in baking; all self-taught or recipes passed down from family members. Every week is different and his passion for baking shines through in the presentation and taste of every single thing! There's always a good number of vegan options too, one week it was apple swirls using the apples from the bottom of his garden, this week there was chocolate orange doughnuts, aquafaberoons and lemon and black pepper shortbread. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this wonderful kitchen door bakery!

What a lovely guy, know his stuff and is passionate about his work in a lovely way. He likes to be creative and try new things too. Some regular makes but it's varied every week. So worth a visit but go early. When it's gone it's gone.

We were passing through Wetherby on our way further north and needed something for lunch on a red hot Saturday. I got a beef, onion, and salad roll on spelt bread, which was fresh and tasted great. My wife picked up a sausage roll, which she said was OK, but as a tea aficionado, she loved the takeaway cuppa. All round, a really pleasant experience.

Need to be quick for certain items... and yet other items (pizza) seemingly never ready early doors. Very hit and miss to be honest. Pizza is great - if it's ready. Steak bake - same. It's a very tiny customer area so queues out the door are the norm... my mum worked there in the early 70's. Customer service? very good overall. Weekend help... young very pretty female staffers for the most part.....so when I'm told by one of these beauties something is sold out... having queued up for ages... I don't care.

Stopped off on the off chance of getting a breakfast bap on the way to Scotland.. We picked our own choice of baps and filling which they cooked fresh... We also had a lovely freshly made sandwich roll to takeaway for lunch to eat later. Loads of choices.. Well done.! . Full marks for excellent food and service.. The food was just perfect.. Wonderful friendly staff.. Wish we lived nearer... Would definitely do a detour to get ourselves replenished in the future.

Love this family run bakery. The breads and baked goods are fabulous. We especially love the baguettes, fruit chocolate flapjacks and sausage rolls too. We buy all our bread and baked goods from The Oven Door and have done for years now. Highly recommended.

Really disappointing experience at Greggs. From the moment I walked in, the staff member that served me was rude and unwelcoming. I ordered wedges, chicken goujons, a vanilla latte, and picked up an Oasis with a pizza slice under the £3.65 deal. When I asked if the drink was added onto the order, the staff member gave unclear answers and seemed annoyed that I was asking. Then she tried to charge me extra to eat in for the pizza slice deal but not the chicken goujons, claiming the goujons were “hot”. When I asked if the pizza was hot, she checked and said yes, which completely contradicted her reasoning but blamed it on that “its come from a different food counter” When I pointed this out, she said, “I don’t make the rules,” yet somehow ended up waiving the extra eat-in charge. It felt like she was just making things up as she went along. The women then got in the mood and came out to “clean” while starting to slam tables and chairs around and treating other customers nicely which was really funny to watch after being treated so different. Confusing, unprofessional, and rude.

Dined in on sat morning 20 Jan 10.45 the lady serving is a credit to Greggs serving on her own (I am sure you can work out who she is) even though the shop was short staffed she was so friendly so efficient very calm and courteous a breath of fresh air in this day and she deserves a medal,I am sure I am not the only satisfied customer,a big big thumbs up to her 👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁

I recently visited the Underground Bakery and was thoroughly impressed! The cinnamon bun was absolutely heavenly – perfectly moist, flaky, and oozing with cinnamon flavor. It was the best cinnamon bun I've had in a long time. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated the recommendations they gave me for other menu items. The coffee was also top-notch, strong and flavorful. Overall, I had a fantastic time at the Underground Bakery and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious treat and a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to go back again! There is no seating unfortunately, but if there was I don’t think I would ever leave.

Very nice bakery in the heart of Otley. The staff were lovely and there was a great selection of breads and pasties. It is worth noting however that the pasties are mainly sweet rather than savoury and there isn’t a large selection of filled sandwiches if that is what you are looking for.

Lovely little bakery. Drove here specifically to try the almond croissant. I'm on a quest to find the best almond croissant. I picked this as the first stop because from the Google Maps photos it looked like they wouldn't run out before we got there! Went on a Sunday around 10:30am. I was very excited by the presentation, they looked huge! Unfortunately the almond croissant wasn't to my taste, it was quite bready and dry and the filling could've been sweeter for me (and I don't like overly sweet things!). It wasn't bad, just unfortunately didn't hit the spot. I'm excited to try again at their new Leeds shop. We also got the foccacia which was HUGE and amazing, just a tad excessive on the flaky salt on top. The cinnamon pecan bun was lovely but ironically the dough needed a bit of salt. Coffee was nice but the latte was a bit too milky/ not strong enough for me, I think it's down to personal preference, for me their flat white was what I'd expect a latte to taste like. The staff are lovely and the shop was beautifully presented and clean. There's no seating, just a perching table. Excited to try more from Underground Bakery!

A regular Saturday treat for the cakes but so hard to choose as they are invariably very good. This weekends Mango and Passion Fruit cruffin was superb. As always friendly staff who do their best to keep the queues down. Never tried the bread just the cakes - roll on next weekend for the next fix

Had the meat combo banhmi, the restaurant seemed to be ran by Chinese so I’m not sure how authentic it is. The bread was crispy and flavourful. Good deal too cos you can take bottled drinks for free from the fridge for a main meal order. Plenty seats inside the restaurant, quite spacious inside.

I dont know what witchcraft makes their buns so crispy but theyre insane. Flavours and spices are there. Still feels relatively healthy with all the veg they put in. Summer rolls are FAT. They are STUFFED and delicious. Ramen comes huge and piping hot. I recommend the pork sandwich but honestly anything you get will be fire. Unfortunately I didnt take more pictures. Prices are reasonable especially for the amount and quality of food you get. Service aswell was above and beyond. I ordered a mango strawberry smoothie but they ran out of mango. The lady taking our order without missing a beat ran out to check stores for mango. I would have never asked or expected anything like that. Props to her. Making it my mission to come back and eat absolutely everything

This place was buzzing at lunch time. Ran by Vietnamese people serving incredible, authentic food. They make their own baguettes from scratch. Loads of veggie options and so so delicious fresh food. I had a tofu curry rice noodle bowl came with a free drink, very good value for money. I can't wait to try the other items on the menu.

I bought the takeaway of chicken sandwich with a free drink. After 20min, I found the bread was still crispy and the chicken's favour was so refreshing. I like the coriander seasoning, especially in the summer time. Will try other food next time. Thank you.

Cheap Viet food in Leeds city centre. Pho base is more delicate and less fish sauce base. I thought I've had all types of summers rolls... Nope!!! I love the crunch in these summer rolls Banh mi, great taste, but it lacked the pickles, greens and wherever you buy the bread from... It's too crispy and not enough dough... If that makes sense But regardless it's a cheap eat for Leeds therefore 5* would recommend and would come back P.s currently rebranding and doing a offer of a free soft drink with a meal (22nd June 2024)

Delicious Pho, every main course comes with a free drink too ( selection of different carbonated drinks or you could order Peach Tea). Students enjoy 15% off, if you show them student ID or UNiDAYS. Reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend.

I love this Banh mi restaurants as it is for me, as a fellow Vietnamese, a piece of home. The food here is the most authentic in Leeds as it smells exactly as a Vietnamese market would in Sapa. The staff are also very lovely as it is a family owned bussiness and I adore seeing family members just hanging around or enjoying themself. The banh mi is crunchy and soft with generous fillings. They offer a variety of Vietnamese cuisine like Pho and Bun cha, which I would highly recommend 🇻🇳!

Only popped in to grab a coffee in the middle of a long drive. Coffee was ok and consistent with the chain. Service was fast and the long queues are seen to at a decent speed.

I often stop at Wetherby services. This Greggs used to be poor but is getting better. Wait times can be long ( it’s popular), but the staff have been much better lately. Kudus to the new trainee who served me, uber polite and welcoming ( I didn’t get his name). Not sure how I can rate a Greggs on its atmosphere (😀), but improving.

Visited here last night on my journey for something to eat; barely anything on the shelves, except for crisps and cold drinks. The staff were rude and impatient, and asked what we wanted, considering there was nothing left anyway. The only option was a cold slice of margarita pizza, and I mean cold. The coffee tasted of chlorine, and was lukewarm. Avoid this place, mainly due to the rudeness of the staff, who are as cold as the margarita pizza.

I called here on my journey, excellent service, I had a bacon and sausage roll and a flat white. Really good quality food and drink. The young man Jaron was helpful,he looked like he enjoyed his work.

The server told the person in front the only vegetarian option was a vegan sausage roll & didn’t mention the vegetable bakes. I bought one, advertised for £2.50, gave him a fiver and got £2.45 change. Had to go back to get correct change. The bake was barely lukewarm.

Gregg's currently have on offer a great deal for mornings being a bacon or bacon and sausage bun (baps, I keep forgetting that I now live in Yorkshire), and a cup of coffee (choice of several such as cappuccino, latte etc); all for £2.00. Now that's not a bad price!

They don't listen to your order, just put whatever they feel like on your bacon baguettes so if you go then you best be a fan of a lottery!

10/10 ! Popped in this morning after a friend recommended and it exceeded expectations. The chocolate almond croissant was the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few!) and the dirty chai latte was equally as yum! Highly recommend!

I searched for the best chocolate cake shop through AI. ChatGPT led me to Choccy Pig. Before going, I checked the opening hours (8:30-16:00 on Monday). I arrived at the shop at 15:30 and it was closed. I went again on Saturday. I ordered two brownies. The waiter charged me £6. I asked if one of them should be £2.50, but she insisted that it was £6. I paid. I tasted two brownies at home. The taste was too sweet. I can only give it 50 points out of 100. I will not go there again.

Gorgeous little independent coffee shop, the brownies are to die for. Charlotte the owner is the loveliest person and really knowledgeable about coffee - she’s picked the perfect blend to serve and you can tell all of the ingredients are of the highest quality here but yet extremely reasonable pricing compared to big cafe players. A must visit if you’re in the area.

The Choccy Pigs Mystery Box was an absolute treat, so much so we had to order another! A great variety and the perfect mix of fun and flavour. Perfect as a gift or a treat to yourself! Highly recommend! 🐷🍫

I avoid this place if I can (depends where I'm working). Too busy putting together just eat click and collect orders while the queue is going round the car park. Saw lots of people give up and walk away after about 25 mins of the queue hardly moving. 1 person serving.

Usually Greggs selection and quality. Issue with this Greggs is it feels like they prioritise there online/deliveroo/ just eat etc orders. We've just spent 15 mins in a queue while out of 4 staff we could see only one serving the 9 deep queue... People actually walked out with our being served. It happens frequently in this Greggs

We normally go Saturday morning after dropping our some off and trampolining. Always have a good choice of everything. Staff are really nice and friendly and it's always clear.

Visited a number of times, handy location seconds off the outer ring road and M621. We parked in the provided car park, so no problem with fines other people have mentioned. Served really quickly, by friendly staff. Always well stocked with all usual Greggs food options. I usually call in on my way to Elland Road, but not at regular meal times, so I have never seen it overly busy. This said, there is always someone else in and I can see why it is so popular.

I visited Greggs on South Parkway this morning, and I was extremely disappointed. The woman with glasses was incredibly rude and dismissive. From the moment I walked in, her attitude made me feel unwelcome. She seemed irritated by simple questions and offered no help or courtesy. The overall service was shockingly poor, and I felt like my business wasn’t valued at all. It's clear that customer care isn’t a priority here. I left feeling frustrated and unappreciated. I won’t be returning, and I recommend others look elsewhere for better service.

An hour before they close and there is nothing left and unwilling to make anything else. I know food waste might be an issue but over an hour with only a couple of pizzas and pastries left. Disappointing.

It's Greggs; They isn't much more to be said as you know exactly what you're getting when you go here... Food is always fresh; staff are always friendly... Only thing that lets this branch down is they is usually only one person serving; so busy periods it's a nightmare

An unsung gem of a bakery/sandwich shop. I’ve been in a few times now and Staff are really warm and friendly you can tell they care about the product and customers. My hot food is always piping hot and cooked well. My cold sandwiches are always fresh and made to my liking. The brownies are delicious, I shal be trying their hot sponge and custard special next time. The shop is clean and well presented. Customers have a good giggle whilst they wait too.

One of my friends told me to go and try this place as I was working just around the corner.. I ordered a Bacon, Egg and Tomato. They made the sandwich up fresh and fast and it was absolutely outstanding; the breadcake was super soft; perfectly cooked Bacon and a decent amount of it too, a perfectly cooked egg which didn’t run all over, and not too much tomato - meaning the bread didn’t go soggy. Absolutely spot on 10/10 - would very highly recommend and will definitely be going back 👍 Check those pics out - spot on.

Very cheap bacon buttie and coffee. The bread was very sweet and left a bad taste in my mouth all morning. The bacon was average. The coffee was tasteless. Every now and then I try them again and they never fail to disappoint.

Great little local Gregg's. Bit small so ques will be outside at busy times. Suggest not going at 12pm if your in a rush.

Quick service- friendly staff- get exactly what you expect

I use the Greggs rewards app whenever I go to a Greggs and save up my points. I had a free breakfast on when I visited this shop and so i turned it on at the checkout. My mum also got a large latte that would have been £3.85. When the total came out, I was raving as he had charged us for a breakfast meal deal AND he had taken off my free breakfast. I’m still mad about this as free should be free, especially when you are a good customer. I hope I don’t have this issue again but we will see.

The Krispy Kreme store is just as you would expect, serving coffee and a large range of doughnuts. The staff seem friendly, and the store seems clean. On one visit, all doughnuts were out of stock (but this was near the end of the day). Overall, the shop is worth a visit.

NOT OPEN AS ADVERTISED This is the second time I have visited this location when it was advertised as open from 8:30am. The first time I arrived at 9am and the second time I arrived at 8:36am....Both times the doors were locked. The location is advertised as opening at 8:30am. My opinion? Do not come in the morning. I drove half an hour to get here. Very disappointed.

I visited this store for the first time for a big click and collect order. There was a mix up and they didn't have my order, however it was soon sorted out bu Shauna, who was absolutely brilliant. She provided excellent service with a huge smile. The store is pretty, and has a lovely layout. Will definitely go back.

I am always happy with the service I receive at this store. It has a variety of stock (always full when I visit), a seating area (inside and outside) and the cleanliness is to a high standard. I’d like to thank Shannon for her consistently great service - from the Lotus Biscoff addict!

worst greggs in leeds. why have 3 tills when there's only ever 1 in use (even with queues out of the door)? the staff lack basic social skills. i've been in a couple of times to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it has always seemed like their first day on planet earth. if you want a world record for longest time spent in a greggs queue, come here.

Shockingly slow. When i got to the till asked when or if any pasties coming out as i can see them. Majority were empty only 1 or 2 on display women says no nothing all we got is whats there. I asked when arw otherw ready? She replied dont know which they almost looked ready. Ended up.having a really cold one which was awful. Ive never had that experience with greggs before they dont wvwn deserve a star for this branch. Ive used many in my time staff usually polite and say either none ready yet or give a time frame of when. But she was shockingly rude. Anyway what a waste of money today. You need have a look at service and attitude with this branch.

The service is so shockingly slow at this branch, especially in the morning when the management should know better to adequately staff the shop. But there is only ever 1 person serving. 15 minutes it took me to wait in the queue before I gave up and walked out, there were 5 more people in front of me and likely would have taken another 15 mins. There is one young girl that sometimes works early and she is amazing! Always fast and great at multitasking but the rest of the staff don't seem to understand the urgency of service people quick in the mornings. Ordered a breakfast baguette, sausage, bacon, and omelette, to be told no baguettes left. I felt deflated and sad whilst my breakfast roll had been made. The next person ordered a breakfast baguette he was not told there were no baguettes, and his server went and made him one. I was very confused, asked why I was told no baguette, and they just said we could go see if there is anymore. I'd already got my sandwich roll, the queue was big, so I told them not to bother. Greggs, I feel lied to and let down.

Hi, Everyone beware of Greggs on George Street leeds today i bought gingerbread latte and one staff add milk as you know all when the once latte come out then is ready just to add crem but what the staff done she press the button on machine to add milk why should she done thos? I understand because then she can add very small portion of cream horrible please all customers beware of that and look at machine how they doing.

People are queuing outside, alllll the time. There's clearly a bottleneck somewhere, management should manage and sort it out 👍👍👍 The staff aren't the issue, they might be understaffed or there are overlying issues

They don't wear gloves or wash their hands before making your sandwich. I saw her emptying the bin then without washing her hands started making sandwiches. Also your touching cash. I wouldnt recommend eating here

Place was absolutely filthy. Pastry crumbs covering seats and the floor. Things weren’t wiped down and there was cups and rubbish on all the tables. Sat at one of the “better” tables for about 20 minutes and someone only cleaned up the rubbish after an older gentleman asked them to. No sweeping or wiping a just the rubbish. Packed up the outside area without wiping it down as well. I must add that the place was completely dead, maybe 6 people in it besides staff.

Not too bad not too good. If eating at McDonald's is too expensive or too tiring, switch to here to see any better. What is good, it is open early in every morning except Sunday.

Leeds was packed this afternoon with Christmas market and they should have been making a fortune but the staff there clearly wanted to do as little as possible, Such a shame when staff can't be bothered may only be Greggs but it wouldn't hurt to make a effort.

Without a doubt the rudest Greggs I’ve ever been in, there was a girl working the till around my age (early 20s) she didn’t call me over to the till in a que I had to go over she didn’t greet me I had to tell her what I wanted then the only thing she said to me was the price then turned to talk to her friend after slapping the chicken bake on the counter. I’m not one who’s gonna demand 10/10 customer service from a street food place like Greggs I’m realistic but it was like she was actively trying to give off the vibe she didn’t wanna serve me which is different to her having a bad day it’s almost like she was purposely trying to be as rude as physically possible because no one can physically be rude that much on purpose your gonna slip up eventually and be moderately nice, I have no idea how she passed her interview or how she could be bothered to even turn up. The only reason it’s not 1 star is because the food was edible

Hit and miss with the staff. Most are okay but a fair few clearly don't want to be there and I'm not sure that they know what a smile is. However the manager and other members of staff are really nice. There is plenty of seating but have yet to see anyone actually clean a table, and I go in at least 3 times a week.

This was a massive bakery to get a takeout from, having all the options clearly presented including the Christmas ones! I had a Christmas tree biscuit that was delicious, priced reasonably and served by friendly staff.

One of the staff, keep the door open twice while my kids r freezing inside. We came to Greggs because of the weather and to have a warm drinks and light lunch. Not to be treated like we did something wrong. Greggs need to be careful with customers specially, if there is a kids.

Been in the UK for almost 8 years. Visiting all kind of cafe, restaurants and take aways. From London, to Leeds, to Edinburgh. This Gregg, particularly a staff, has the best greeting, welcome, smile, friendliness attidue, etc, I have ever seen. All F&B staffs should learn from this dude. If only there were more people like him, the world will be a better place.

I was having a bad day today and decided to visit Greggs inside the Merrion Shopping centre to cheer myself up with a hot coffee. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of encountering a young British lady at the counter who gave me a wonderful customer service experience. Her smile was infectious and instantly lifted my mood, changing my day for the better. As always, the coffee at Greggs was excellent, but it was the excellent customer service that truly made my visit special. This young lady embodied the values of customer focus, creating a warm environment, humility, integrity, and speed with excellence. She truly cared about her job and her customers, and her smile and positive attitude left a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend this store to everyone who is looking for a great customer service experience. The employees at Greggs go above and beyond to provide exceptional service to their customers, and this young lady is a shining example of this commitment. I was actually recommended this cafe by staff at another stall in the Kirkgate Market. They said Firth and Payne, in their opinion, have the best jacket potatoes in Leeds. Now I've tried them myself, I can confirm they were right! Gorgeously soft, fluffy potatoes with great portion sizes and a great amount of filling. Really yummy coleslaw and side salad too. Staff were polite and friendly and I was taken aback by how cheap this very delicious and heartily sized meal was! Will be coming here regularly from now on.

Have been calling in regularly most of this year. Coffee is always good. But.... Not sure what's happened or why all the regular staff have gone...they were pleasant, professional, knew their regular customers and always had time for a quick word with them aways a good morning...a thank-you as you left. They were quick and the place was always spotless. That is not the case this last month or so. Surly, slow staff, and the place at 9.30 last Wednesday morning was is if there had been an all night party and no one bothered to clean up....tables were filthy, customers were cleaning their own tables but no where to put the dirty wet wipes/tissues as the bin was overflowing and the floor was an absolute disgrace.

Used to be great a couple of months ago but all different staff now who are very slow and the store is often shut on a Sunday morning. Coffee not as nice as it was before either. Update: waited 18 minutes today with no apology to then wait a further 5 minutes for bacon.

The team in there is fantastic! That branch is always mega busy but they give great service all the time.

Love the coffee here. I had corned beef pasty. Had very little corned beef in it, seemed to be filled with mash potatoes . We sat in . The floor was covered in food ,clearly the staff don't come out from behind the counter very often to sweep up and the tables weren't much better . Don't seem to have learnt much from covid.

Had enough of being scammed and worst customer service at this location as a regular customer they often try to charge you 9 pounds to sit in with a sandwich and when confronted about it say its a service charge of 5£ to sit in!!! Every single server at this location has an attitude and it is nothing i’ve ever seen in any other greggs or coffee shops for that matter in the UK. DO BETTER BRAMLEY MANAGMENT!

The staff is always lovely even at peak times. Range is reduced due to the recent situation but the choice is still fine even for vegetarians. If I needed to be picky the Vegan Sausage roll should be given more time in the oven to get a better golden crust. Overall very good!
