With a diverse range of musical genres, including jazz, indie, hip hop, funk, reggae, soul, house, and more, it has hosted breakout talents and renowned artists like The Amazons and Foals over its 20-year history.
Chris and Ed were absolutely exceptional! Chris especially gave recommendations and remembered out order! Chris was amazing at handling the bar and was a great chat! Would definitely recommend sunflower lounge and Chris as a bar tender! Thank you so much Chris! You’re the best!

Staff gave a chair for my partner who needed to sit down. Acoustics were good. Glad both doors were open due to no other ventilation or air conditioning. Good priced drinks also.
Hamnet Q — Google review
Nice, intimate place for live music in central Birmingham. Good selection of beers, friendly staff and nice vibes. Saw Gathering of Strangers here, fantastic band!
Sunil P — Google review
Was surprised at how small this little hidden gem was. We went to see Casey McQuillen on the last night of her tour. It was friendly, felt safe and was a really fun and cosy venue to see emerging artists perform. Drinks were priced well but standing up all night was tough on my back but didn’t spoil the night for me.

I love this place, the best indie gigs and the staff are always so friendly. £7.20 for 2 long drinks with a student discount is great 💯

Fantastic small music venue and bar. One of the venues on The Decoy and Freeze The Atlantic tour. Great sound engineer! Good wide choice of drinks available.

Live music bar
The Actress & Bishop is a beloved live music bar located in the vibrant St. Pauls Square area of Birmingham, England. Set in a historic building, this classic watering hole offers an informal atmosphere and features regular musical performances that draw in a dedicated following of music enthusiasts. The venue's charming ambience is enhanced by its exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and cozy stage area.
We stumbled across this place whilst out walking … live music early on a Saturday evening! and the atmosphere was amazing… plenty of drink selection and the staff were great too.
Andy W — Google review
We arrived early afternoon and I think the staff were readying themselves for the late afternoon slot and were a bit distracted. We had a lovely time before people started to pile in and the band came on. After they came on we had an even better time. They were brilliant and the place was buzzing. It was a shame we had to leave but we had a date with Jeff Lynne. Thoroughly recommended pub with great entertainment.
Jeremy J — Google review
We had a great time watching a small concert here! The atmosphere was lovely and really welcoming. I definitely recommend visiting if you enjoy live music in a cozy setting.
Temu G — Google review
Had my wedding reception here on the 11th and it was fantastic. They went above and beyond. So friendly and accommodating. Room looked amazing. Food was lovely. Kept us all well "watered" 😂 Special thanks to Ola who was amazing at every step of the way. Thanks for making our day wonderful 🖤
Shelley W — Google review
Good choice for the second stop on our "stag do" pub crawl. Weather was warm, so we were able to gather outside, where there are a few tables, although we all decided to stand! Good choice of ales and lagers available, friendly bar staff. Highly recommended.

Really nice food from the venue, you can tell it is made with care drinks service amazing as well. Will be coming back!
Israel K — Google review
Wow four of us popped in here last Friday for a quick, early nightcap after already being out for 6 hours and ended up staying for another 5. Great atmosphere and music, just the 2 of us on the dance floor early evening my son in law's Mom and I, love the old hits. Just as we were about to leave a young lady singer came on with her guitar 🎸 she was absolutely amazing and we didn't leave until after her two part set had ended. Lady behind the bar was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks, including non alcohol drinks which impressed one of our party who was driving. Left about 10.15pm when the venue was really getting full, great few hours, my liver spent Saturday detoxing 😆
Judith U — Google review
This is the third event/gig I have put on at the Actress & Bishop. Katie and the team have helped ensure it all runs smoothly. A technician in place at the start to help get the bands soundchecks done. A point of contact to ensure the bar runs smoothly. And all of the bands who played praised the setup at the venue. A perfect place for a private event in the city centre.

Pub
Live music venue
Nestled along the canal in Birmingham, The Flapper is a lively hangout known for its regular live gigs, pool tables, and beer garden with an arcade. The venue's distinctive character is reflected in its sloping roof beams, dark wooden furnishings, and skull-pattern wallpaper. Established in the late 1960s and renamed 'The Flapper and Firkin' in 1991, it has been a hub for independent music since the 80s.
This place has a cool, old-school vibe with rustic decor, and it feels vintage. They play good music, have a great selection of beers, and even a pool table. The outdoor seating is a highlight, offering a beautiful view of the canal-perfect for a relaxed drink. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a nice spot to hang out with friends. Definitely worth a visit!
Tejas S — Google review
Great food/ portion sizes. Lovely location with seats overlooking the canal. Perfect summer spot, can’t wait to come again :)
Tears W — Google review
Great evening here watching a tribute act. Really small venue for gigs, but awesome atmosphere, everybody was there for a good time. Loads of outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend this place for a night out.
Paul — Google review
Spacious pub with outdoor seating - perfect for chilling by the canals in the summer. The normal menu shown online was not available and only subs and sides were available, but the subs turned out surprisingly good. Chicken was hot and crispy, and the gravy sauce compliments it perfectly. The softness of the bun is just right. Tots were also nice, very cheesy and filling.
Iris I — Google review
Had an amazing time. Came and had some drinks and games of pool before seeing Tyler Hilton there a few days ago. Love the vibe of the whole place and the staff were super friendly! Wish I got the name of the main man who served us a few times but he was lovely from around 6pm on 14th may.
Alexandria S — Google review
Had a great night out. Good sound and mixing, lighting, great band (Du Blonde). Low cellar ceiling low stage makes it feel homely and you're with them. Good selection of drinks on tap, nice staff. Didn't have any food.
Marcus B — Google review
Very popular pub sat on the canal waterway. Large outdoor seating area. Live music.balcony and inside seating areas. Can get very busy
Mick K — Google review
One of my favourite bars I've ever been in, and I've travelled a fair amount of cities and countries. Went on the night of a rock concert at the Utilita Arena and this place played a fantastic selection of rock and metal music all afternoon and after the gig aswell. Such a great atmosphere after the gig, and before the gig it was just awesome to chill by the canal watching the goose family with goslings while we enjoyed our beers and food

The Night Owl is a vibrant retro-themed independent nightclub located in Deritend, Birmingham. It offers a nostalgic experience with its focus on soul, ska, reggae, and Britpop music. The club hosts various themed events and live music performances, making it an exciting nightlife destination.
What a find!! Great music all night was a mostly 80’s vibe the night we went. Such a friendly welcoming place; both staff and punters, people of all ages. Where what you like, be who you are at this place. We will be back (and we live 50 miles away!).
Ally J — Google review
Really cool vibes. Great live music. Nice cocktails. Friendly staff. Very welcoming (from someone who rarely goes out). Nice range of ages. Casual dress or dressed up. Sat and drew the band and the surroundings without feeling uncomfortable, and apparently I wasn't the only one who does that. Nice friendly crowd.
Chantal P — Google review
A huge thank you to Clare and all of The Night Owl staff for our amazing wedding at the quirkiest most chilled venue ever! Highly recommend love to you all! You’re all amazing! Thank you Harriet & Dan xxxx
Harriet L — Google review
This place really stinks. It smells like those little glass things you'd get from news agents, you'd crack 'em on the floor & they'd stink out the place -- yes that's it, this place has a smell about it like stink bombs. I shall not return. I do not want your audience. The spoken word is doom --- for the fishy smell there. Good bass though or should I say basses
Sam E — Google review
A great compact venue, though Wrap up well if heading there in Winter as a fair bit of the venue is situated outside. The stage has 2 huge TV screens behind it which show clips from many top programmes of the 60s. The venue specialises in retro acts from a bygone era. Bar prices are like most music venues slightly overpriced. On the whole a good sound & feel about the place you dig, I dug.
Drunken P — Google review
First time here, but it's a cracking venue! Fab DJ pre and post gig, I'd definitely come back to listen to the great tunes she spins!
Rachel C — Google review
Cookout event. Had a great evening listening to Big Ship Alliance and celebrating three birthdays, the DJ was great too. The food was great, thanks to Aairon, I even took some home. Thanks 🙏🏾 Clare for all the info about the event. I look forward to coming back in the Summer when I don't need a coat as event space is partially outdoors.

Albert's Schloss in Birmingham offers a hearty Bavarian breakfast with Alpine-inspired dishes. The menu includes Mushroom Hash, Cook Haus Breakfast, Kroissant Royale, Salmon Royale, Turkish Eggs and Pancake Haus. The venue features an on-site bakery and space to relax amidst Alpine-style wooden furnishings and greenery. It is known for its live entertainment, music, roaring fires, drag queen performances and cocktails.
Lively venue with very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was great and the ladies loo which has music and neon lights playing ABBA and more was a winner ! Would recommend
Phyllis W — Google review
Really enjoyed the Bavarian feast - enough for the five of us to share (although we had some sides we couldn't finish). Bratwurst, pork belly and schnitzel was tasty! Knuckle was on the dry side. The pretzel and swirl was not anything special though so I would skip those but enjoyed the rest!
Jody L — Google review
Came here yesterday for sunday lunch as a party of 7. 4 adults, 3 children. We were given a great table by the stage. A huge shout out to our waiter, Rhys, who was brilliant! Great personality, attentive, great sense of humour and overall lovely man! For food we ordered: Ruby prawns Hummus and pitta Krokettes Onion soup 3 beef dinners 1 chicken dinner Pork knuckle dinner (the knuckle was huge!) Kids chicken dinner Kids beef dinner Starters were amazing. My only negative point is that the beef was a bit chewy/fatty, however, everything else on the plate was lovely. We also had ice cream, chocolate brownie and apple strudel for dessert and all were great. The singers were brilliant and we loved the atmosphere. Our kids loved the disco toilet in the ladies and the photo booth which was only a pound! The bill came to £270 for food and drinks for 7, which i don't think is unreasonable for Birmingham. Overall, we had a lovely time and only lost a star due to the beef. I woukd definitely return in the future and try something off the main menu.
Kirstie F — Google review
First time visiting, was a little concerned it may be too busy on a Friday night, but was surprised at how spacious the venue was. Lots of seating. Great venue for meeting friends or date night. Great drinks, food and friendly staff. A really great place to kick off the weekend.
Vaughan R — Google review
Absolute gem of an experience dining at Albert Schloss! Spacious dining area with 2 bars. Cocktails are excellent, would highly recommend the apple strudel cocktail! Food portions are massive and make the steeper price tag worth it. Highly recommend the cordon bleu schnitzel with truffle parmesan fries. Lovely place to celebrate milestones, or even just a fancy meal. Bathroom is rather dimly lit, but clean. Note: Only the bar opens at 11:00, kitchen opens at 12:00.
Blue G — Google review
I have to start by saying how amazing Verity was from my very first call. I told her we were celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday with close friends and family, and that I wanted the night to be truly memorable. She suggested a booth, which was perfect — it even made my son’s night as we ended up meeting a girl from Love Island and her friends who shared some shots with us! I also have to mention the lovely Claire. We had a last-minute menu change to your new Oktoberfest menu, and some items were no longer available. With two fussy eaters in our party, Claire was absolutely fantastic, helping us accommodate everyone. After a couple of emails and calls, she sorted everything out, and all our guests were very happy. Last, but by no means least, Harry was simply outstanding. He went above and beyond, making the night not just a 10/10, but an 11/10. He was attentive, hardworking, and ensured my wife had an unforgettable birthday. The evening exceeded all our expectations and ranks as one of our best ever nights out. Thank you — happy wife, happy life! We will definitely be returning and can’t recommend your amazing team highly enough. Kind regards, Peter
Peter S — Google review
This is an amazing place, which we frequent regularly - the food is always amazing, with great variety, and staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. Particular shout out to the delightful Maria who absolutely made my day on our visit on 16th August - she’s a star! Would heartily recommend for some great food and drink, with a really nice vibe, in the heart of Brum!

The Jam House is a sophisticated venue located in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. The three-storey Georgian building exudes the elegance of New Orleans and offers an intimate setting for big-name jazz, blues, and rock performances. Founded by Jools Holland, the venue boasts a 600-person capacity but sells out quickly due to its reputation for hosting some of the best musicians in the country.
Fantastic venue. We visited for the acoustic night and it was well worth the trip. Great music, lovely friendly staff, and a super atmosphere. A must see for anyone who finds themselves in the area
Sophia F — Google review
We had an absolutely amazing experience last night, a table for 6 , food was excellent, service was excellent, music was excellent. And what really impressed us was we were allowed to keep the table for the evening to come and go to the dance floor, felt like VIPs , your venue and staff including the security was absolutely friendly and professional, can’t wait for another occasion to return. Thank you 🙏🏼 so much.
Donna L — Google review
I recently visited here on a Saturday night for a friends birthday. There was 10 of us and we also booked food. We sat upon the mezzanine area where you had a separate bar and toilet area from the main club. The food was nice, ate bread with salmon for a starter, lamb dinner with potatoes for the main followed by the cheese board. After eating the band starting playing and they were really good. We were able to leave our stuff at the tables whilst going down to the dance floor area, and return to the bar and toilet which was great as you avoided long queues. Overall it was a great night.
David K — Google review
Had fun last night. I went all by myself. Old folks who love live jazz and highlife music will enjoy the place better. The securities are good, bar tenders are nice. Overall 8/10

Great gig watching Incognito. The food really was top notch, very reasonably priced and served beautifully hot. The staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. One of the nicest whole evening experiences we have had for a long while. Well done The Jam House
Andre B — Google review
It appears the security here need to learn some simple manners. This security guard completely ruined my evening for my mother’s hen do and first experience of Jam House. There is a way to speak to people for a simple demand and also important to not intimidate people in doing so (still unsure why it took two of them to ask me to stand up). Likely won’t return.
Tiarni G — Google review
Booking with First Table meant that we were able to choose from the 3 course menu for a fixed price of £20 (if I remember correctly) There were some great options to choose from with our meals being cooked to perfection. This is a really good opportunity to taste some delicious food in a unique establishment.

Pub
The Spotted Dog is a charming red-brick pub in Digbeth, Birmingham, offering live blues, jazz, and Irish-folk bands weekly. Stepping into this early to mid 20th-century establishment feels like stepping back in time with its authentic Irish theme and adorned walls displaying trinkets and memorabilia. The pub serves as a bridge between old and new Digbeth, reflecting the area's historical ties to the Irish community while also embracing the artistic and creative vibe of the evolving neighborhood.
Very traditional pub with a very local feel that suited me massively. Lovely bar staff and they had Guinness during the current drought of the black stuff.
Darren W — Google review
Drinks are way overpriced, 5.50 for a cider. Absolute rip off. Went there for jazz night it was awful jazz by the way. Thought i would drink some more and the jazz would sound a bit better, it did not. And don't even ask for a rum and coke, you will only get a coke with a drop of rum in it as with the vodka and lemonade. The garden is tiny and the main floor is crammed.
Z — Google review
Old Pub. Large garden/outdoor area with plenty of seating. £6 pint of Guinness and by far the best I've had in Birmingham. Don't be put off as they serve the Guinness in a non-Guinness glass, it was 10/10. Lady behind bar was also nice and offered us some free snacks.
Amar O — Google review
Went in here last year for a drink with friends and was harassed by the owner and kicked out due to my trained assistance dog who was legally allowed to be there. I suggest they look into the laws in the UK surrounding assistance dogs, which are protected under the Equality Act 2010, to avoid future situations of discrimination against disabled customers. The irony of my spotted dog being kicked out of a place called the spotted dog is not lost on me…

The Rainbow is a vibrant and spacious nightspot in Birmingham, known for its alternative atmosphere with bare brick walls and graffiti. It has been an integral part of the city's music scene, hosting famous acts like UB40 and La Roux. After a period of closure due to disrepair, the venue has been lovingly restored and now offers an extensive range of live music genres including rock, metal, and indie. Additionally, it hosts legendary club nights featuring R&B, garage, and house DJs.
Great place for vegan meals, not your run of the mill vegan food, but lots of tasty options and menu changes often. I always come here when going to a gig at the O2 as it's close. I look forward to eating here and trying something new on the menu. Staff are so lovely and the pub has a great cosy atmosphere.

Long narrow bar with a small area to the left and behind the bar. Great welcome when I arrived with a joke or two, made me feel welcomed and relaxed, excellent. Couple of TVs on the walls, wooden floors throughout and nice seating area. Usual tap beers with some good ales and craft beers. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Beer was amazing with food available also. Large leaded windows with mosaic look. Great old building. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Paul P — Google review
Cool venue at the Rainbow. Really airy and bright pub with a good selection of drinks. Vegan menu which was varied and for all tastes, but quite expensive per dish. Gig venue is in the basement, perfect for a small intimate performance and didn’t feel cramped or crowded.

Great pub and top staff! Always a great laid back atmosphere here spread over two floors with the basemen downstairs for live bands and DJ’s it can get busy especially after football but doesn’t take long getting served at all.

Food was tasty and had large portions so price is justified. Although we did ask for extra sauce and were given a very small cup of it - two dollops worth.

Had a bottomless brunch here and didn't realise the food was vegan. The drinks weren't very strong but the waitress was always keen to make sure you had your next one. The food was good, the texture of the Bish was a little strange but enjoyable. The staff seemed very friendly, overall it's a good place to go

Fabulously decorated pub with really friendly staff that has all vegan food as BA-HA Large range of gins, rums and whiskeys Large outdoor and really nice outdoor beer garden with a cute car seat. Often have bans on but not when we went We stayed for some food and dessert and it was really nice

Popped when visiting a friend in Birmingham. As a vegan it's always great to find places like this, with a vegan menu. The food was lush, the cocktails fabulous and the staff were the cherry on top of the fancy drinks. Will be back whenever we're in Birmingham. Cannot recommend enough.

The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre in Birmingham is housed in a stunning Victorian bank building, now transformed into a lively pub and theater. The interior boasts an impressive island bar under a glass-domed roof, with flamboyant decor including chandeliers, ornate plastered walls adorned with illuminated busts, and historic photographs lining the walls. The bustling pub offers a range of Fullers pie-and-ale options and efficient staff despite peak times.
Fantastic pub. Once you get past the grand aesthetic of both the exterior and interior, you get to a superb selection of beers and ales. I opted for a pint of Lavender Hill Pale Ale, followed by a half of Rebel IPA. I was only visiting for a quick drink before heading to my lunch reservation elsewhere, but I want to come back and try out all of the different offerings. I may have to do it in half-pints! Service is friendly and welcoming, if you get a seat by the large front windows in day time, there's a lovely view of the cathedral and it's grounds to take in.

I chose this place for a birthday dinner for my husband because it had good reviews and looked like a beautiful place. It is indeed beautiful, but the greatness stops there. The service was friendly, but not very helpful. We were not told when seated that we'd need to order and pay in advance at the bar, and we were told two different things about where we'd be seated and it was confusing. We were passed by many times with me trying to get someone's attention before we figured the process out. The pay in advance part makes it difficult if you want to add on a side or dessert during the meal. We ended up with 3 separate charges for our meal. The chicken, bacon and leek pie was fantastic, the rest were just ok, though they were cooked very well. They were kind enough to sub the mushroom pie for a chicken pie upon request. The cauliflower and cheese lacks flavor as a pie and a side dish. We both agreed the best thing on the platter was the red wine gravy. The brownie for dessert was delicious and made the birthday boy happy, so that saved the day.

Amazing wonderful old pub/picture house in Birmingham temple Street. The inside architecture is amazing and the wall murals, balcony and central Ceiling Dome really make this an outstanding pub. The central bar has a great selection of beers and ales, drinks, with a very appealing menu. A must visit.

Beautiful space; I went for the theatre which was a fantastic treat. Walk through the pub all the way to the back where the ladies' loos are and then up one flight of stairs for the gorgeous little theatre bar and another for the small but perfectly formed studio theatre. A fantastic production and really fun experience. Non-alcoholic drinks reasonably priced, alcoholic typical for a classy city centre place. Stayed for a drink in the main pub at the end as it was too stunning not to take it all in for a bit!
Stephanie U — Google review
We came here to see a production of Be More Chill, and I wish we'd have stayed for longer because the pub area was beautiful and the food smelled great. The show was brilliant, the facilities well kept. The theatre is up two floors of steep stairs, but a small lift is available & well maintained. All staff, stewards and performers were not only polite and professional, but enthusiastic and great to chat with. I'll definitely be returning to The Old Joint Stock soon!

What a great pub with lots of atmosphere right next to the cathedral. Great interior decor. I dived in here during a heavy shower and was welcomed by friendly staff. Good selection of beer. I wasn't hungry but looked at the menus and was tempted.
Duncan H — Google review
If going for just a drink it would be 5 star. But we went for food. It was extremely over priced. I had the vegan onion bhaji burger as it was one of the only options. It was so dry, they obviously just microwave the patty and it had been zapped so much it was extremely hard on the outside and powdery on the inside. (You know when you put a pastry in the microwave for so long the crust goes rock hard) If they want to charge just under £18 for a burger it should be made fresh! My suggestion if going for food maybe just go for the pies or if not…. Go somewhere else. (Lots to choose from around colmore row) I would have said something if someone came over to ask how the food was. But no one did even when they came to get the plates they didn’t ask how the food was. I would have said something but it seemed pointless after I had eaten it all. Due to being so hungry. Overall, great please to go for a drink… from my experience I wouldn’t go there again for food. 2 glasses of wine and a main meal £63!!! Not worth it.

I hadn't been in this building since it was a NatWest bank over 30 years ago. It is a lovely building and was happy to see the owners have retained a lot of the original interior. Was served buy a very friendly young lady. Was also surprised to see they have a small theatre "in house" so will keep an eye on upcoming shows.

The O2 Institute Birmingham is a modern entertainment venue housed in a historic building with a 1500-capacity hall, offering live indie and dance music gigs. Originally known as the Digbeth Institute in the early 1900s, this former church has undergone various name changes and rebrands before being acquired by Live Nation. With a capacity of 2,900, it has been the original home of Godskitchen and hosted popular club nights like Atomic Jam and Ramshackle.
Lovely building. Long queue to get in but moved quickly. The acoustics are good. The beer is priced as you would expect.

Great place for a live gig. We were there for Bloodywood. Great sound, well organised, easy to get to. Parking on Arcadian worked well for us. Tip; if you book for balcony, there are not enough seats for everyone so get in early if you must have a seat as it is unreserved seating. We stood for all 3 bands but some attending were displeased!

Fantastic intimate little venue. Great atmosphere, and the acoustics were very good. Lots of like-minded people having a good time. London prices for drinks but to be expected as they've got to make a living.

Door staff looked after us, and the venue is well organised with emergency aid on site which respond very quickly to situations. Three floors that used to be a nightclub back in the day. Parking can be tricky, the nearest one with entrance on the same road closes at 9pm. Others to the rear close at midnight.

Our team lunch at Flight Club in Birmingham was an excellent experience. It was my first visit, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrived just before they opened at noon, waited for about 3 minutes for them to open. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming and the staff helped us to our table. The venue offered a fun darts game, which added a unique touch to the experience. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. I opted for the Beyond Burger, curly fries, and salad, followed by some delicious brownies. The menu also featured a variety of burger options, while some of my colleagues enjoyed pizzas and wraps. The curly fries and brownies were personal highlights for me😊. Additionally, I tried a non-alcoholic cocktail, Spring Passion, I particularly think that was refreshing and well-prepared. The venue itself is beautifully decorated and had a warm and inviting ambiance. Overall, Flight Club is a fantastic choice for team-building activities or group lunches. I highly recommend it!

My partner booked for my birthday. We arrived slightly early and were offered to start early. The staff were really friendly and happy to help at all times. The food and drinks come quickly and at a high standard, the pizza was lovely and not greasy at all. The nachos were tasty and good portion. The darts games were fun and the whole idea is rather awesome, lots of fun for all. Staff came and gave us an extra 15 mins at the end of our session which was ace. Good value for money on the game and food, drinks seemed a little pricey but they aren’t any more expensive than other Birmingham bars etc. good experience all round.

Met some friends on a night out not knowing what to expect. What a great place. We played darts and they helped coordinate the tournament. The bar staff was extra attentive to needs. Offered great recommendations. we had a fantastic night out. Make sure you book in advance as this is a very popular venue.

We have visited here a few times in the last few years and I’ve visited with a variety of groups - work party’s with 25+ people, friends of up to 6 and just myself and my partner and they comfortably cater for it all. The food is perfect for what you want, picky items that are delicious - particularly always go for the nachos. Absolutely love that they do discounts for people in the hospitality industry on Sundays and Mondays - perfect for us. We love it here and we try and make it part of a day out when we have visitors. I wonder if you may introduce some new games in the near future - would be great to see something different

We came here for a works team day social. Not done it and initial thought was ‘darts are boring’. However, it was a lot of fun and a lot of different games to play. Whilst darts in the core of it, it really was great fun playing with and against various people. The laughter didn’t really stop and was a nice Team event. We order plenty of drinks and they came fast with great service. We didn’t have any good but other seemed to have a buffet for their events.

This was a last minute booking for 6 people and I have to say what a great choice it was. The drinks are average prices and some fantastic cocktails, the staff we had the pleasure of meeting where great and went out of there way to help. Out with work colleagues...we had a few drinks here and ordered some food...did not rate my food. Nice vibrant atmosphere, music became louder as the evening went on.

Nice boozer, we didn't eat so can't comment on the food, decent prices on the drinks, good tunes being played and excellent vibe with the punters, there was something going on between two different groups that resulted in lots of cheers from both sides. We attended for the first time as a family for the family comedy show. My kids absolutely loved the experience and raved about it. The acts were fantastic and totally appropriate for the age range while still managing to be rude and funny. You can preorder the food which makes it a really smooth experience and the staff were all friendly and brilliant. The portion sizes are huge but there isn’t much choice. If you have gluten free then it has to be vegan, so my daughter wasn’t keen on it. It’s proper greasy grub but plentiful and reasonably priced. The seats are a bit crammed in and tables are small but it’s a great atmosphere. Great outing with the family and such good fun, great acts, def recommend.

Great location and great venue. Always good for a more close up intimate evening up close with performers. Always love that fact that food can be ordered to where you're sitting. Massive thanks to organisers for bringing Jimmy Dore Show to the UK. It was equally funny as sad to experience common sense bomb dropped by comedians, who seem to be one of the very few left in our society allowed to express themselves without being arrested or interrogated for it. Old fashioned pub nothing to write home about , just good beers and on that day a northern soul dj , so the music was good had to sit outside in the beer garden as just to load to have a conversation with our friends. Anyway overall not a bad pub for a decent real ale pint .

I've been to the other branch in Birmingham and loved it, so I thought I'd try this one as its alot more central location ( note gave the other branch 5/5) Foods 10/10 just like the other site, the only thing that lets this branch down is the staff. 1 out of the 3 staff who dealt with us was really good! The other two were just not very friendly.... It's worth going just for the food! But I would recommend just going to the other branch ( about 20 minutes away )

Great place with amazing atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic food! Had a lonely dinner experience! The place is very cosy, has a great atmosphere with all the lovely decoration. It's quite big - there are tables outside, bar area, few dining rooms inside and lavatories on the lower ground floor. We were greeted at the door and asked if we had a booking, we didn't but still managed to get a table. It was Thursday night, so it wasn't that busy. The service was very friendly and fast. The food menu has interesting dishes, a variety of vegetarian options, and their famous kebabs. I definitely recommend the chicken one. It's served either with chips, couscous, or coconut rice. I went with chips, and they were so crispy. The kebab was also delicious. There is a variety of drinks as well, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. I really liked the alcohol-free Mind mojito. The deserts are out of this world! I had the most amazing Orea chocolate cookie dough! The prices are also reasonable. It was a great experience, and I definitely recommend this place!

Popped by for a quick lunch and had a great meal here! Got their lunch promo which includes a main and a drink for £10. The bacon cheeseburger was juicy and filling while the fries were crisp and salted just right. Overall a great value meal

We came all the way from Wales for a night out in Birmingham before the Lewis Capaldi show. The food and cocktails were excellent, and our personal waiter was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, the overall vibe of the place let us down. It was hard to ignore how unhappy the rest of the staff seemed — it genuinely felt like they didn’t want to be there, which dulled what should have been a lively, fun evening. Such a shame, because with amazing food, great drinks, and a brilliant waiter, this could have been a perfect night out. A little warmth and friendliness from the team would have made all the difference. Other customers we spoke with felt the same — a simple smile and welcoming attitude goes a long way.

Attended a brunch on the 12th July, with work friends (9 of us) It was such a lovely & lively atmosphere. Bella was amazing so friendly & kind her service was 10 out of 10 such a nice young lady, who made our time there even more enjoyable. Thanks Bella.

Came here for a meal with Family on a Monday night it was very busy which was unexpected for a Monday night turned out that an event was on at the local arena so always worth checking. The staff did find us a table and were friendly. The food did take a while but it was busy the food was good we had an issue with one of the meals the chicken was not cooked and we sent this back they did fix this and made an fresh dish. I would go back again but maybe when its not a busy.

Luna Springs in Digbeth is a vibrant outdoor bar and event space that offers a variety of entertainment options. From live music events to themed bottomless brunches and karaoke nights, there's something for everyone. The venue features a skating rink, colorful tents, and an electric atmosphere perfect for gathering with friends. With no cover charges before 6 pm, it's an ideal spot for those seeking free things to do in Birmingham.
We went to the 90s outdoor summer festival and it was really great! I hadn't appreciated how big the venue was and how many different things were happening at once until I was in. The drinks were expensive, but it was worth it. Amazing venue, amazing vibe, what a day!

Went for a bottomless brunch, the live band was good! The food was decent nothing special, I'd say you'd go for the band and drinks more than the food. The cocktail were nice, a bit of a shame they ran out of prosecco. The staff were lovely and polite managed really well with how busy it was which is fantastic!

Great outdoor music venue. Good atmosphere and dancing. Didn't have to wait for drinks or food. Shame about the long black hair in my food and another on our cocktail jug.

Been here a few times now and this is the worst one I've been...Invited a few friends and for some it was their first time. Not a very good experience for them and me. The DJ was brilliant but as soon as the tributes (I say that loosely) came on then it went downhill...Bryan Adams was alright although it was advertised as coming on at 5pm and came on at 4pm! Then it was advertised to be Wham...followed by Madonna and Duran Duran...then system 80s....So when wham came on it was part of system 80s! I said to my friends that this looks like it's going to be system 80s doing all the so called tributes and so it was....extremely disappointed with this...and I'm afraid to me they didn't sound the best at all...Same time last year here I saw 6 or 7 different tributes and it was brilliant day...Its a shame coz it's a great place and the vibe is tremendous...but when ur paying £20+ and £7.50 a pint thinking ur going to see a few artists and end up seeing 1 isn't good. It wouldn't have been as bad if anyone could of let us know if the tributes couldn't perform. But in my opinion it was definitely miss sold...Hopefully next time we will see separate tributes and if not we will get told and maybe a reason why. All I can do is apologise to me friends for a awful experience. Let's hope lunar springs and magic disco do the same.

Took a short while to get going, but in the end was a pretty decent venue. Drinks were a tad on the expensive side. Security was good. Event was even better. Parking in the area also isn’t too bad if you know where to look.

Went to the Brunch on Saturday 1-3pm. From start to finish it was excellent.lovely food and efficient staff. I’m a pro music musician and I must say that the live band were incredible! Not only do they sound amazing, they interact with the crowd so well. Great job Luna. You definitely need to promote the Brunch more as it’s a brilliant day out.

What a venue! Great in summer as mainly outdoors. Went here for a private party with lots of vendors selling food and live music. The. Went for a Back to 80's day gig and that was awesome. Then went back to a back to 90's 12hr rave and that always just amazing. Like a mini fest with road closed and clubs across the road playing different genres. Can't wait for the next party/rave!! Bring it on.

Nestled in the vibrant Gas Street Basin, The Brasshouse is a historic brass foundry transformed into a lively pub and restaurant. With its charming red-brick walls and wooden floors, this venue exudes warmth and character. It's not just about drinks; The Brasshouse hosts an array of events including live music, DJ nights on weekends, and a fun Karaoke night every Thursday. Their Sunday Social is particularly popular, featuring local bands or artists that create an inviting atmosphere for all.
We visited this place for an afternoon drink. But the menu looks really good and we enjoyed the atmosphere here. So, we came back later for a meal 😋 I liked the fact it was next to the canal alongside the Black Sabbath Bridge. A few steps at the one entrance but a level access around the other end of the building. Also disabled toilets. We liked the fact that they do cater for children and they have there own little menu. The staff were friendly and chatted easily with us. Telling us about the entertainment they have on weekends. I noticed quizzes too. So a good all round family fun pub. We really enjoyed our food. And can't wait to visit again. 👍🏻

Friendly service and decent beers on. Great location, nicely done up inside, and plenty of seating. Only popped in for a pint so can't comment on the food. Also, can't really fault the pub for this, but there were quite a few rude patrons lacking basic manners which kind of made it somewhere I wouldn't be returning to in a hurry.

We came here for a impromptu drinks after work and decided to stay for food. Excellent draft selection, great to see Murhpys on tap. Food was good, there was a bit of a wait but we were pre warned so that was fair enough. The food was better than expected and the Pizzas were lovely!
JT “ — Google review
Food was disappointing, given the prices. They had run out of fish, surprising given that we visited on the Saturday of a bank holiday weekend. The pastrami sandwich was £9 and looked thrown together with half the bread missing, and the bread was nothing more than a supermarket wholemeal loaf. The chicken pie was totally uninspiring for a whopping £17. We won't be going back and wish we'd gone somewhere else, particularly given the choice in this part of Brindley Place.
Tim R — Google review
A brilliant spot for music and food. It was a lovely place to reflect as we were visiting the Sabbath bridge. The staff were so lovely and the food was incredible. I'm a big fan of the fact that I could still see football results and enjoy brilliant music to my partner and myselves taste.

The environment and atmosphere of the pub is really nice, it’s cozy and it has comfortable seating, you can also order from your table. There is air conditioning inside and there is a nice small seating are outside right next to the canal HOWEVER, we got 2 of the Black Sabbath IPA English Ale ( based on the description given from the bar staff) however the beer was disgusting, flat and not cold and did not look anything like the beer that was advertised outside the pub ( picture from the beer and the advertisement are posted ). We asked the manager (Chris) if we can get a different beer as it was not what we thought we ordered. I was told that the sign outside doesn’t say that that the beer looks like that (very misleading). Chris told us that he can’t give us a different beer or a refund and that we should have asked to try it before buying it. His tone was very dismissive and he didn’t really care.

Birmingham Town Hall, located on Paradise Street and the west side of Victoria Square, is a stunning example of Roman Revival architecture. Constructed in the 1830s, it has a rich history as a venue for classical and contemporary music performances. Despite its tragic construction history, it now hosts an exciting array of concerts and events catering to diverse audiences. From jazz to rock and classical music, the hall's programming reflects Birmingham's evolving demographics.

The venue was excellent, and the acoustics were great overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting me to find my seat. It was an enjoyable experience attending a concert at the Town Hall, and I would highly recommend it.

Saw the show about Sun Records set up by Sam Phillips in 1952. He discovered Elvis. The guys who took the part of Elvis, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis were fantastic. Quite a plain interior, the Town Hall is all very clean. Is a bit chilly in the auditorium. Has two bars, serves coffee too. It has excellent acoustics..the most important feature. I was allowed to dance rocknroll in the space between the seats but not in the aisles.

I generally prefer smaller sweatier standing venues, largely I guess because I prefer the bands that play those venues. That said, Birmingham Town Hall is my favourite seated venue. It looks gorgeous inside & out, acoustics are fantastic, staff are the friendliest & most helpful of any venue I can think of. Bar & facilities pretty good. Great location too!
Martin L — Google review
A great venue. Went here for a Sufi Music concert, very good sound acoustics although the sound guy could have increased the treble a little. It is not very big, when compared to for example the Barclaycard Arena- but that is a good point because it means even if you buy a tickets quite far back you can still see the stage.

Even though I'm a "Brummie" I don't actually remember visiting this building as a child. Close your eyes and you actually think you are back in the Roman Forum standing before the Temple of Castor and Pollux on which this building was based. It was closed when I visited, raining outside but still amazing to behold. Among the many artists Paul Robeson, the African American polymath and equality campaigner performed here to raise funds back in 1939.

This establishment holds historical significance as the place where the band UB40 played their first gig. Despite being larger than many independent music venues in the area, it remains a popular spot for both local and touring indie acts.
Super cool and trendy pub/ venue. Went in two for one burger night and was not disappointed in the quality of the burgers, super delicious and highly recommend!! Also the loaded fries were exceptional, and the addition of the local company Pips hot sauce being available was a nice touch. The pub has a great selection of beers and ciders including local breweries such as attic brewery.

decent pub and gig venue although it's laid out oddly with the main entrance and exit door right next to the stage and a narrow viewing area.. think they should partition off the entrance door.

Had been at a bar just down from the Hare and Hounds it was a birthday party for someone so we had some left over sausage rolls, bags of crisps etc. we left and tried to visit here and were searched and told we couldn’t come in. We explained that we had no intention of eating the food we just wanted to keep it to the end of the night so we could donate it to charity. The bouncers told us no, we couldn’t come in. I explained that we were happy to leave the food outside because we just wanted a drink, again told no. Absolutely no common sense used, and lost a few rounds of business because of it. I love the hare but am deeply disappointed with them and will consider advising people to avoid it in future

Nice enough atmosphere to sit and enjoy a drink. Live music was great but can be loud, so not best place to have a conversation. Food is limited, I thought there would have been way more of a selection, but mostly just chicken dishes. Food is expensive for what it is, and wouldn't say its worth the money. Drinks aren't cheap either. Overall it was an enjoyable night with friends, but wouldn't really go back again.

There’s quite a few places that have sprung up recently trying to replicate the feel of this venue. It’s that stripped back chic that works well, if done properly. There’s a section of independent food vendors. All different. All good. From the security to the bar staff; everyone is welcoming and friendly. There’s a variety of different day and night events and the atmosphere is always relaxing.

Took a long time to make cocktail weekend drinks - but appreciate them being made from scratch. Good selection of food. It was just so so hot. This isn't going to be the norm as we have been before and it's fine but as it was a hot day and the building is metal, it was like sitting in a sauna.

This place, although a bit dark in the main area, due to being a disused factory, I think? Has a great atmosphere and visually inspiring quotes.comfy sofas, stools and seating so take your pick where to sit.Stage for live bands, and a club within the club owned by Jayson spinning rare tracks and people spinning and grooving to the tracks . If you like a good workout and getting sweaty with like-minded people, fabulous. Food was awesome, but due to the event , the wait was nearly two hours for jerk chicken, so you know it's fresh and well cooked .There'ss also another eatery and slushie area.Outside area great ambience. Poor customer service, one bar man mumbles and was so disinterested it was shocking. Felt like we had inconvenienced him. Had to clarify multiple times what was being said. Got to be the most grumpiest person I have ever come across in a customer service role. To top it off he was sitting outside looking miserable and someone said to him you’ve got customers you better go inside as we were walking in and even then he looked put out and took his time. Shockingly lazy, bad initial impression created for the customer and highly off putting. Other staff are also not great either, not interested, highly unfriendly, this needs improving drastically to enhance the customer experience! Person I was with also commented on how bad the staff and service was when getting drinks and didn’t enjoy this part at all and actually felt uncomfortable due to the unfriendly nature of the staff. Some were also laughing AT customers showing how utterly unprofessional they are. A lot of them are young but need some serious training in customer service. Outdoor seating area is decent with a good atmosphere. Not sure if I would ever go back due to the poor customer experience created by the unfriendly staff, superior local places around with far better welcoming customer service you’re better off going elsewhere!

Is that a moose head hanging above the door? One thing Prince of Wales doesn’t lack, is character. The 19 Century building is a leather bound, cove of dimly lit wooden rooms. The walls are decorated in places and people from Birmingham’s past. One of the rooms still has service bells located just above its bench’s back rests. In the beer garden there is a mass of additional seating. What was unexpected was the undercover Polynesian style bar area. It’s bloody huge and decorated to reflect the warmth of the tropical culture. Food is courtesy of Cantina. A selection of vegan dishes to sample as part of their tasting menu. These were great to snack on. Excellent complements for the many fine ales The Prince of Wales has on tap.

Shaz G — Google review
A nice traditional pub in Moseley. A small bar area leads to further rooms towards the back (these are best in winter). The large beer garden is where this pub comes into it's own, with a large covered area and features such as a wine shed. The Prince has plenty of out-door seating, attracts a good varied crowd and also shows live sports on the out-door screen. There is also 'street-food' on sale at peak times.
Dan R — Google review
It's cosy, especially in winter when they have real fires lit in the front and back rooms. The staff are great, service is quick and there's a nice atmosphere to it. It's my local, but I don't drink there because the Guinness is still awful. This isn't new, has been for years, long before the refurb. Cask beer apparently decent, and the other pale ales looked clean, if you like that sort of drink

The Castle & Falcon in Birmingham is a renowned live music venue with a distinctive and lively atmosphere. It offers an intimate setting that allows for a close and personal experience with favorite artists, creating strong connections between performers and the audience. Despite its higher capacity, this family-run business maintains its humble feel and has been an integral part of Birmingham's musical history for over 150 years.
Great venue for live music! The bar area at at the front is cosy and the music room at the back is a good size but feels intimate. There is a limited amount of seating at the sides of the room, plus a large standing area where most patrons will congregate. It can get a little shall we say 'lively' nearer the stage, though this will of course depend on the type of gig you're attending! We went to see Sounds of Seattle, who were great. The sound is excellent for the size of the room and while it was loud we didn't leave the venue with our ears ringing. The drinks at the bar are reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. There's free on-street parking nearby at night and the venue is wheelchair accessible. We had a great night here and will be back in the future!

I drove from Derby to The Castle & Falcon to see the amazing Jake Vaadeland and The Sturgeon River Boys. The pub has a great atmosphere - wooden floors, nice decor, and the venue at the back of the pub is a good sized room with a stage, decent stage lighting and a modern house PA system. Unlike some venues it has good sight lines with no pillars to obstruct the view. Beer is a tad more expensive than I’m used to - £6.00 a pint! Parking is a bit of a nightmare: normal rules don’t seem to apply round here so you just park wherever you can. The overall experience was good and I’d definitely go there again.

After visiting the red brick market, we stopped here for a bite it was full of regulars having a beer. We ordered the vegeterian lasagna and the cottage pie. The potatoes from the pie had a buttery flavour and the minced meat was tender, the chips that accompanie the lasagna were very crisps. Located in Birmingham, UK, Symphony Hall is a renowned concert venue known for its exceptional acoustics and striking architectural design. As the home of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, it offers a diverse program featuring classical, jazz, folk, rock, and pop concerts. Situated at the heart of Birmingham's bustling city center on Broad St., it provides an unforgettable musical experience amidst a vibrant urban setting.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Attended Man in the Mirror at Symphony Hall and had a fantastic experience. The venue was spotless, the seats were comfortable with a great view and the staff were incredibly friendly and accessible, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The show itself was exceptional, a true celebration of Michael Jackson’s music. From Bad and Black or White to Thriller and of course Man in the Mirror, every performance had the audience on their feet. Highly recommend for any MJ fan or anyone who enjoys an outstanding live show!

I recently went to see Symphonic Queen with my friend Lisa at Symphony Hall and the entire experience from when we walked in to when we left was fantastic. We were able to collect our tickets from the box office speedily, enjoying a reasonably priced drink at one of the many bars at the waiting areas, pre-ordering a drink for the intermission. We had side balcony seats which gave us a fantastic view of the stage and orchestra, the acoustics and lighting were phenomenal. The staff were incredibly pleasant, hardworking and helpful. There’s not a single thing that I can honestly say about Symphony Hall that is negative. I urge everybody to find a show they feel would be of interest and go see it. Symphony Hall is a place where you can make wonderful memories.

Beautiful night in a beautiful setting. The hall looks classic and well mantained. The lobby area is modern and well designed. We enjoyed our first ever concert in Birmingham, at the music hall.

What a fine concert experience to see the wonderful Boomtown Rats Saturday. Fine and friendly staff, effective signage, and a view par excellence. Crystal clear sound quality, so this great band connected with my eyes ears and above all heart.

Only one criticism. Some of the seated areas have very limited leg space, which is more noticeable during longer performances or shows. Due to long lines of seats with limited leg space and no access isles; everyone has to stand to allow someone in or out, after people have sat down. This also makes me question what would happen if there was an emergency requiring evacuation. How would that go? Not well I suspect, and certainly, accessibility for those with walking aids or wheelchairs would not be viable for these seats (though I'm certain that there will be other, specific areas where accessibility has been considered). Also another more minor issue... Drink/snack holders would be nice, though I appreciate this is not always considered appropriate at these types of venue. Other aspects of the venue were exceptional. Spacious, clean, well designed, well staffed. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities were also of a good standard. Also I should say the crowd were excellent. Everyone was friendly and considerate, and excited or happy to be there. It was truly a joy to experience.

The hall itself is nice, comfortable seats, and the sound acoustics were great. The event itself was good, with a clear screen and an absolutely stunning orchestra. Slight disappointment that they didn't play the cantina band song live, and the queues for the bar at the interval were long which meant we ended up not buying a drink. Regardless, it was fantastic and the orchestra were definitely the stars of the show! I'd definitely go there again for future events!

Went for brunch on Sunday. It looked good from inside and quite aesthetic. We were excited to be here but disappointed by lack of brunch options. We had a full vegan breakfast but replaced tofu with eggs because they didn’t have a veg breakfast option. Also ordered French toast that came with ice cream and that was quite nice actually. The vegan breakfast had tater tots few of them which our server dropped on the floor next to us while keeping the plates which is alright but she looked at it and then just ignored. I think that she could have atleast apologised or acknowledged. just kept the food on the table and that behaviour was off-putting. Lack of respect for the food and your customer. The service was really slow given that the place was almost empty on Sunday morning. Had to wait more than 15 mins for someone to take our order and also 15-20 mins after we finished the food just sitting waiting for someone to come and get the bill. Coffee was mild and disappointing. The only good thing for us was the French toast and the eggs with avocado. The bread in vegan breakfast was half burnt and too hard. and the mushroom didn’t taste good. Beans were good though. Disappointing experience. So many other options in mailbox for brunch!

Lovely looking restaurant. Friendly welcoming staff and a nice selection on the menu. We ordered the chicken burger - good flavour, well cooked but quite a small portion of fries. My son ordered the bao buns and a side of fried, they were nice, well cooked, quite sweet in flavour. My daughter had the halloumi fries and onion rings which she really enjoyed and I tried the shakshuka for the first time, it was quite nice, pretty spicy and a big portion, I couldn't eat it all. It could have done with more sourdough toast with it though to soak up the tomatoes and the egg. Overall a nice meal and happy Ilto tey something new.

Waited over half an hour for our food. Waiter didn’t bother bringing over table water as requested when ordering. The coffees arrived luke warm. The food arrived cold! Overall poor service, and very slow chefs. Won’t ever go back

I would say first off, the highlight was the service we received from Jess, even when the whole place was full she was attentive and made sure to chase up the bar staff for our drinks regularly. Had an amazing time at bottomless brunch there's a decent variety of cocktails which can be expanded for an added cost. It's best if you have a reservation as this place can get quite full, especially on a Saturday.

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a 15-acre site featuring exotic flora housed in elegant Victorian glass houses, along with a Bonsai garden and bird collection. The surrounding area offers nature lovers a variety of famous parks to explore, including the Birmingham Nature Centre, Cannon Hill Park, and more. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the vibrant nightlife concentrated along Broad Street and in Brindley place.
£9 entry for adults + £3 per car might seem steep but is 100% worth it for these beautiful gardens. With about 15 acres to explore you could easily spend 3-4hrs here! Perfect for a nice relaxed afternoon if you go during the week, I imagine it's quite a bit busier on the weekends and school holidays. Be aware that the hot-houses are very hot and humid! Probably 30-35? so if you go in the colder months make sure you can remove some layers easily. The grounds are broadly wheelchair accessible, with sloping ramps. Although if possible take someone who is able to open doors as one door in the cacti room to an accessible ramp does get stuck and some slopes (while gentle for those walking) could be a little steep for a manual chair. Plenty of benches around, some in the sun and some in the shade as well as a large gazebo-like structure near the rose garden you could duck into if it rains. Perfect for kiddos, if you park yourself in the cafe with a view to the hothouse door you can safely send them off on their own to run around for hours. There is a plat area as well if that's more their thing than running through bushes. Love the little shop, lots of gardening bits as well as cards, pottery and artwork all priced fairly high as you would expect for any garden centre/ public attraction. The cafe seems well enough, again watch out for your wallet as the cakes on display look delicious!

The botanical garden tour was indeed a captivating experience, offering a glimpse into the beauty of diverse plant life. The carefully curated landscapes and vibrant flowers created a truly enchanting atmosphere. It was a pity that the allotted time did not allow for a more extensive exploration of all the garden's wonders. Perhaps another visit is in order to fully appreciate its splendor.

Came here with my partner. Pretty easy to book, can do so online. £3 per car parking - would advise not to go at a busy time as the car park will be full. Lovely day out full of various plants and trees. Most of the outdoor plants are British origin with others being housed indoors. Managed to get around in an hour and a half, seeing all of the plants we wanted to see. As per usual, snacks and drinks are a bit costly £1.50 for a can. Overall, would recommend

Always a pleasure to visit, the hard work of all the team is paying off! Autumn colours are a delight, especially with the sunshine! I attended the Halal Festival at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Sunday and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was buzzing, and the whole event was so much fun. It was a fantastic day out with plenty to explore and enjoy. I got to try some delicious food from a range of vendors — the wings and hot dog from Backyard BBQ were full of flavour, the mango sorbet from Fresto was refreshing, and the Matilda cake from Cake and Drizzle was a sweet treat I won’t forget. I also had the brisket samosas from Meat and Greet, which were packed with rich, savoury goodness. Everything I tried was top-notch! I also picked up some incredible perfume from Monarch Garden — their alcohol-free, designer-inspired fragrances smell amazing and have impressive staying power. Such a great experience overall. I loved every moment and can’t wait for the next one!

I had an amazing experience watching the ENG vs IND 2nd Test match on Day 5 (6th July). The atmosphere was electric with a passionate and lively crowd, which made the day even more special. The stadium was very well-organized, making it easy to navigate. There were plenty of food and drink options available, catering to different tastes, and all conveniently located near the seating areas. The facilities were clean and easily accessible. Another big plus was the parking – it was close to the venue and well-managed, making arrival and departure smooth. Overall, a fantastic day out and a must-visit experience for any cricket fan!

Went here to watch the England v West Indies One Day International and all in all it was a very positive experience. Everything was extremely well organised on arrival, from getting into the ground, to getting to our seats and all of the stewards were very pleasant and friendly. The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars was the ridiculously high price of food and drink on the concourse, however there was plenty of people buying it so I suppose they can charge it !

We had such an amazing day watching The Hundred. I had a 12 year old with me who loved all of the family and kids activities. New menu mainly featuring burgers and a couple of hot dogs. Food was freshly made and tasty. Very nice staff also. *** Went there to try out Brum Mi and the food was very tasty. Loved the hearty portion size and the high quality ingredients. Both the pork and the beef were succulent and even the pickled veggies were nom. We were also pleasantly surprised by the cauliflower bites coated in a sticky sweet sauce. As a die hard salt and pepper tofu lover, these cauliflower bites would give the beloved tofu a run for its money. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The only downside was that we were driving so couldn’t sample the broad selection of beer there. We definitely would be returning and look forward to having a couple of pints alongside.

They do loads of craft beers and even serve tasting trays of 3 1/3 pints so you could try a variety of beers instead of getting a pint each. As a gay guy I called was called homopbobic and wasn’t allowed in with my friend. Neither of us intoxicated. Felt incredibly personal and insulting. As a 48 year old I am disappointed and actually shocked. I don’t recommend going here. It’s a disgrace!. I’ve gone to all of the gay venues for over twenty years. I don’t understand how it’s okay to just say that to a gay person not knowing them or anyone. The security here need replacing and some customer service training. Seriously calling a gay man homophobic couldn’t be anymore insulting!!!. I sincerely hope I get an apology. I am considering liable action for this remark and for disparagement of my name. I won’t drop this. No response. Messaged the venue with contact details and nothing back. Highly recommend not going. They clearly don’t care!

I was dragged into dancing with some women as she asked me to when she was with her husband, as I danced with her and then got her husband involved out of politeness and then told me I was annoying. I stepped away and then she tried to bat my friend away so my other friend got annoyed and got the bouncers involved. An hour and half later we got kicked out for standing up for my friends, absolute jokes considering I asked to see the cctv which I am entitled to see as it is of me. I was refused to see it and so I’m writing this complaint, not a place to be to feel safe. John the manger didn’t even show his face and made his bouncer Henry deal with the situation, embarrassing.

Went on a Sunday and have the Caribbean carvery. Paid £19 I believe. With £5 deposit each when booking online and that paid for drinks. I liked that we had the choice of 2 soft drinks rather than 1, for the alcoholic drinks one was allowed for each person with a paid deposit. We went for the rum punch which normally cost £8.00 something but we got it for £5 with the deposit accounting for it. The rum was definitely in it which was good as you feel you’re getting your moneys worth. I did want it weaker and so the waitress (the only one serving! Well done for that) kindly gave me a glass of orange juice which worked well for me. My partner enjoyed the original strength of his drink though. The food provided a big plate and I like that you could have meat and fish. The food was okay. For example unfortunately the plantain I had was dry. Nonetheless I enjoyed the time there and staff were friendly.

First time visit, read reviews so wasn't expecting the best experience. But it was better than expected food was lovely, filling and tasted authentic. Had some of everything apart from the Yorkshire pudding which I personally didn't think went with it. I was only expecting a soft drink for my deposit but it did cover one glass of wine, larger and rum punch or two soft drinks. On the down side didn't like feeling rushed some of our party unfortunately came late, we were prompted to get our food then told we only had an hour left, so didn't have time to finish our drinks or have a pudding or coffee or relax and let the food go down. But despite this I would try it again.

The tapas was absolutely delicious and the portions were a good size. I recommend the quesadillas and the cheese plate ( which was huge). The cocktails were 2 for £12 on a Friday or Saturday- we had an Old Cuban which is a cocktail with Prosecco, not too sweet or sickly. Service was quick and friendly. Lovely Latin American music makes for a great atmosphere.

Come here most weeks. Normally a good pint. Had a bad pint from upstairs, which tasted like soap, I understand that happens so we tried to alert the staff. Something might have gone wrong with the line etc… The older lady with short/no hair refused to believe us and told us to go away. It’s quite sad as this was a spot we used to love to visit!
Matt R — Google review
The manager (lady in her 40s/50s with no hair) is so unbelievably rude. I ordered a drink which tasted like soap, she told me to leave and then called me a liar. She ended up calling security all because I had a dodgy pint. Would not recommend and think she should not be hospitality.
Thomas H — Google review
Not at all what I was expecting. Firstly, the rice and peas - what an insult to the Caribbean! - Definitely not authentic - I think I counted about 3 kidney beans in my very bland white rice. Secondly, the single ‘jerk’ chicken wing was nothing to write home about I’m afraid the curry goat was mainly bones. Finally, it was disappointing to see that the portion sizes varied from customer to customer. My small plate of food was definitely not worth £20, I mean 1 chichh my en wing! While some plates had 2 - still a stingy portion, with dessert incurring an extra charge. Calling this a carvery creates a certain expectation to help yourself and be full, not to be served small portions, school dinner style. Not for me.

This is a very nice trading arcade to look at And to find a bite to eat, get your haircut, find a bar or many other shopping opportunities. It’s a good spot to get out of the rain for while and is very conveniently positioned in Birmingham city centre. There’s parking close by and it’s also close to bus routes

Restaurant
Located in the heart of Birmingham, O2 Academy Birmingham is a legendary music venue with a 3,000 capacity hall where world-famous acts perform. In addition to hosting big names in the music industry, it also features two smaller rooms for lesser-known acts. The venue has undergone name changes over the years and has seen performances from renowned artists like Lana Del Rey and The Libertines as well as local talents.
Saw The Brogeals and The Latham's last night. All the staff members we came across were very helpful and friendly. Really appreciated the staff passing out water at the front of the stage as it got very hot. The security and ticket system on the way in was very smooth, just for visitors who don't have your ticket page open on the O2 App for ages as you'll need to refresh the page a few times before the tickets scan. As soon as the gig ended, staff checked on people sat down and were immediately tidying up. NPC car park is literally next door to the venue for anyone coming from far away. Sound was great for the gig as was the lightning. Overall a perfect night and venue!
Samantha S — Google review
I recently attended a gig at the O2 Academy Birmingham and had an absolutely brilliant night. The venue has a great vibe — intimate enough to feel connected to the performance, yet big enough to handle a solid crowd without feeling cramped. The sound quality was impressive; every instrument came through clearly, and the vocals were spot on, which really brought the energy of the night to life. The layout of the venue is smart, with decent views of the stage from most areas, and the tiered levels in the main room make it easier to see even if you’re not right at the front. The lighting setup added to the atmosphere, especially during high-energy tracks, and the acoustics made the whole experience even more immersive. Staff and security were professional, friendly, and handled everything smoothly — from ticket checks to helping people find their way around. Entry was well organized and the bar staff were quick, even at peak times, which is always appreciated at a packed show. Facilities were clean and well maintained, and the cloakroom was handy for storing jackets and bags. If I had to nitpick, the drinks were a little on the expensive side — not outrageous, but enough to notice. Still, that’s not unusual for live venues and didn’t take away from the night. Overall, the O2 Academy Birmingham is a top-tier venue for live music. It’s got everything you need for a great night out and consistently delivers a quality concert experience. I’ll definitely be back for more gigs.
Bazour ( — Google review
The O2 Academy in Birmingham is a well known venue for seeing shows, with a central city location making it easily accessible by car or train. Parking can be busy in the city so I recommend planning your parking in advance but there is plenty of choice. The venue itself isn't especially large and if you're less than six foot tall I'd recommend buying tickets in the stalls not in the main standing area. The venue is well managed and it's recommended as a great location to see a show on a fun night out.
Dr S — Google review
I've seen many of artists here and it's always been amazing. Great venue with easy viewing even from standing. Staff are always friendly and procedures in place to keep everyone safe.
Phoebe — Google review
Good music venue, two rooms. One with a balcony, which is better if like me, you need to sit down. However the second room has nowhere to sit, standing only, which can be a little awkward. Drinks are the usual mega expensive, so don’t be tempted to really drink, unless money isn’t a difficulty. First in the Queue for seats, none reserved, but they do let disabled in first for that reason. Sound quality good, and overall, a good venue.
Kerry N — Google review
O2 venues often get a bad rap. I like them. Been to this one many, many times. View is great from wherever. Sound can often be good. Staff are always pleasant. Sure we can complain about beer prices but 🤷🏻
Colin P — Google review
Super venue. Easy to get to. Watched Camera Obscura who put on a brilliant gig. I'd say 500 capacity in the hall which made it pretty intimate. Easy to get served and decent range of beers. 👌 Another top night at this venue to see The Flaming Lips-top drawer stuff!
Andy H — Google review
My daughter attended the Bach and Arthur Podcast last night and had prebooked seating in the accessible area. The young man (sorry I can't remember your name) who met her in the queue and supported through the event was amazing. He couldn't have done more to ensure she felt comfortable, from allowing her to queue in a quiet area to regularly checking in to see if she needed anything. Thank you so much - you made the evening a great experience for her.

An independent brewery in the Stirchley district of Birmingham well worth seeking out and visiting. Thru a gate into a light industrial unit you reach a large bar & seating area. It's amazing how the place is so energetic and fun rooted in carribean music. People are pleasant and welcoming, and the staff are great. Food is burnt. It's not the quality it used to be, but the server is pleasant even though it's slow. Friday and Saturday nights are really lively. The shop offers an eclectic mix of musical genres, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy your coffee. Recently relocated to Hockley Social Club, it now shares space with Digbeth Dining Club, making it part of a thriving creative community.
It is a spacious cocktail bar, with a very vibrant environment. There were enough comfortable sitting spaces both inside and outside. The decor of the shop made it an interesting place to visit. The stuffs were helpful, kind and welcoming. There were a manageable queue. Not much interesting option for snaks. I was looking for a non-alcoholic drink and the lady behind the bar suggested me to try the grape one. I tried it, and it was super good 👌 However the drink name Karma cola & gingerella really triggered me to buy but that lady said the best one would be the grape one. I recommend it too. Enjoy 😊

I've had one of the best nights in Birmingham, I didn't expect that. The city definitely needs more places like that, especially with Heritage Nights Group as a tunes provider. Thank You.
Przemek — Google review
It's hard to find a place to drink good tea. Good blends and brewing are hard enough, but tea is also about atmosphere. I hit up cafe Artum and I'm glad I did. It's more than a tea shop (it does coffees, sandwiches, cakes, hosts a chess and book club, and has a great collection of music records on display). My blend was brilliantly balanced and my friend said the brownie he had was "top... top quality!" One of the owners is a friend of mine. I know him to be a man of ideas, passion, and a committed artist. It shows in the quality of what he serves- they're crafted. What really struck me though was how peaceful the shop was (I loved the soft lofi-esque music playing). Time moved differently in Cafe Artum. It's the perfect space to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre and the office. An oasis. Independent shops have character- this one especially. Do check it out!

Amazing new place for music and coffee lovers. The owner has done an amazing job with the look and feel of the venue, breathing new life into a sadly degrading part of Birmingham. Absolutely fantastic venue I had the pleasure of Performing at Nortons on Saturday evening as part of my Irish duo, To Hell or Verona. The staff were fantastic, Dan, the events manager, Luke the sound engineer, and all the bar team and management were first class. The crowd were brilliant and friendly too, which made for a top class atmosphere. I’d highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a cracking night out with family or friends!

My family and I visited the day after my daughter wedding .20 of us met up there I was expecting a great place but tbh we were all disappointed. The only thing available on the menu was pizza which they ran out of . The young lady behind the bar didn't have a clue , maybe it was her first day ( needs to be properly trained) I asked for a lemon gin which was directly behind her with the rest of the guns ( good variety) she looked at me blankly , I had to point it out to her. Slow service to say the least. My husband cut his leg on a sun shade base that had been disgard ed in the middle of floor outside in the garden . I think this is a place you go to in the evening for a lively time . We left and went to Hennessy's ( food excellent)

Amazing little secret Irish bar with free, top class live entertainment! We went in on a whim and it did not disappoint! Old school vibes in the best way, all good vibes from bar staff, security and punters. Space and to sit and dance even on a Saturday but the perfect balance of lively and cosy atmosphere in here. Good drinks menu and food is available although we didn't try on our visit. Would recommend 100%
Maggie E — Google review
This review is based solely on the food. I visited for the first time a couple of days ago for an event that was being hosted there. I ordered a hotdog that cost around £7 and paid a couple of quid extra to add chips with it. The image attached is what I received. It definitely wasn't a hotdog, it was barely a sausage, more like a chipolata! It was drowning in the bun it came in! Absolutely ridiculous and a total rip off. The chips were lovely though!
Simone R — Google review
Awful service. Nice vibes, nice beer and actually nice food but the worst service I can remember receiving. Misheard the order originally, charged for the wrong order even after correcting it, under-refunded, I let all that slide because it probably amounted to about a pound, but then ended up in a dispute about whether we actually ordered veggie or vegan muffin because there was cheese on it. We insisted we had ordered vegan, bar staff insisted it was an order of veggie, which made no sense according to the other items on the muffin, then finally they she did a 180 and came to the conclusion we had actually ordered vegan but the cheese on the muffin was vegan cheese. There is no vegan cheese listed on the menu. Such a weird awful delivery of otherwise nice beer and food in a great bar, probably won't come back.
Robert M — Google review
We came for a bottomless brunch, unsure what to expect after some negative reviews. We arrived at 240pm and told we had to wait till for 3pm to have our drinks. A little put out we ordered water but then Mary appeared at 250pm and she kept our drinks topped up till 430pm. She is soooo good at her job and is an asset to the company! Our food arrived and it was delicious and filling. The live music was kept the atmosphere lively. Wondering what to do to burn off all the alcohol we enjoyed the live music in the next room. We had a brilliant time and would recommend Nortons to anyone who wants to experience a typical Irish welcome and dance!
Medina G — Google review
The music was amazing, however the bar & door staff, food and drink prices left a sour taste. To be honest not a real Irish bar but the music was great. As they are in the Irish area they have to try and fit in. Looking forward to just going back to watch the music only.

Nice LGBTQ bar/pub in Birmingham. Good outdoor seating area and a nice atmosphere in the bar. Also great to see visible trans solidarity on display, which is sadly something you don't see at that many venues. The venue has been a back street boozer since at least 1891 and has recently been revived by its landlord Rich. The eclectic decor, traditional ales, European-inspired food menu, and vintage-retro vibe make it stand out from the shiny new venues in the city.

Been before , and had Sunday lunch twice before . Food was amazing ! However got to be honest and say last Sunday we were really disappointed. My pork wasn’t cooked enough . And was very very fatty . No cracking either . But my husband’s Beef was a shocking portion . Roast potatoes were delicious and so was all the veg and cauliflower cheese . Service was great and happy to give us apple sauce and gravy when asked . Felt deflated by the food . But absolutely love this pub . And will return . But maybe not for Sunday Lunch .

my first time going out by myself as a woman (22y) in Birmingham and it's really a great place, I'm really happy with my choice of going here as my first place alone. it's safe, comfortable, fun, amazing kind staff, bartender was lovely. I suffer from social anxiety so it's hard for me to go out and enjoy my time somewhere out and The Ruin was perfect. I was up in the smoking area and it's really chill, good atmosphere and great! I'm not used to going out to drink but I had a Moscow Mule for 8 quid and for the amount of the drink and everything included I say it's a fair price but I'm not familiar with drink prices so I can't say confidently it's the best price out there but definitely worth it 👌👌 Thank you for a good first experience c:

Tiny venue but would be great, staff try hard enough. But our night was ruined by the band put on which is a shame. They were amazing but threatening a member of the audience Is disgraceful. Happy to speak to management about this if they wish to reach out. such a horrible shame.

This is a small, intimate venue. Drinks are very reasonably priced and they have a very good selection of artists performing throughout the year. Staff are friendly and engaging.

Intimate venue but decent variety of drinks quick friendly service. Friendly clientele and great music. Highly recommend.

Missoula at Birmingham is a stylish and contemporary bar and nightclub that offers creative meals, cocktails, and weekend DJs. Despite not usually reserving tables outside, they accommodated a reservation for a group on the last Saturday of summer. The food and drinks were described as brilliant and great value, with recommendations for dishes like mac n cheese, duck pizza, sloppy joe, and the vegan moving mountains burger.
Came here with a friend on a very hot day and sat outside . We ordered tapas, drinks and pudding which were all lovely. The staff were great and friendly even though it was so busy. They did run out of gin cocktails due to the fact they were changing their cocktail menu, but the bar staff whipped me up a nice cocktail.

Missoula is the place to go in Birmingham for a bar in the perfect place for a sun trap. Affordable menu, seasonal cocktails and your standard bar food menu. Service is at the bar only however it's good quick service. Bar can get busy when there are events in town and good weather. Keep an eye on your bags as it can be a target for opportunist thieves.

Had a lovely meal and catch up with my mum we both went for the burritos which came well prepared and hot my mother picking sweet potato fries as an add afterwards we went for desserts a vanilla cake and the cookie cup explosion both went down a treat the venue is a little off the beaten track as far as shopping is concerned which made the experience better as we didn't want to be attacked with shopping bags in hustle bustle of the center it was wonderful to be in a little oasis of calm

Last Saturday of the summer, booked a table a couple days before and asked for a reservation outside if possible; they don't usually reserve tables outside but accommodated us as it was the last day of sunshine. We were late because of traffic and they still left our reservation. Food and drinks were absolutely brilliant and great value. My friends loved their mac n cheese, duck pizza and sloppy joe, I had the vegan moving mountains burger on their recommendation and it was the best burger I've ever eaten. We'll definitely be back for more next time we're out in Birmingham.

Went here yesterday for food with my friend and daughter before going to a concert. I went to order the food at the bar only to be told they don't do a kids menu but they advertise a kids menu online so I asked the woman behind the bar why is it advertised online she got very rude so I just said forget it and walked out. Think some of your staff need to go on a course on how to deal with members of the public in a professional manner.
Vicky H — Google review
Staff went out of their way to serve us. We had a shared platter and white wine, all good. Will definitely do pre-theatre here again. Remember to show your theatre tickets for a 10% discount.
Julie K — Google review
Booked a table on-line. When we arrived the staff had no idea that you could even reserve a table. We sat at our table for 10 to 15 minutes and then went to the bar to order food. We were told by the surly bar staff that there would be a minimum of an hour wait to get any food. Avoid this place as there are many other great places to eat and drink nearby.

Always dined and had drinks at this bar until a recent experience my girl mate experienced by a very rude member of staff. He claimed to be the manager- was so ill mannered and definitely doesn't know how to speak to a lady. Totally shocking knowing that people of such calibre can be employed.
