The Atkinson, located in Southport's historic Lord Street, is a premier arts destination housed in a beautifully refurbished 19th-century building. This Grade II Listed venue offers a contemporary experience with its permanent and visiting exhibitions, including the captivating Egyptology Gallery. The Atkinson also features a theatre that hosts a full program of talks and shows, making it a hub for music, comedy, and theater.
Went to the art gallery and the café. Excellent exhibition very friendly curators who helped the art students who were with me nothing was too much trouble for them. Very well presented exhibition and expertly curated. The cafe is excellent very good coffee didn't have cake or food but it looked fantastic.

The Atkinson is a lovely place to visit, and features a museum, aswell as the art gallery, library and theatre. The staff are friendly and helpful; there is a gift shop and cafe and plenty of space to take your time and study what is on display. Currently there is a Lord of the rings exhibition and the gallery is showcasing artwork which hasn’t been seen in over 100 years, and they are displaying it in the old traditional way of cramming as many paintings in one room, this is not there usual way of displaying things, but just a respect for the way it once was in the Atkinson of old. It’s really nice and it features my favourite painting of all times ‘John collier’s Lilith’ which is breathtaking. So many beautiful pieces of art on display. It is free to visit. There is also a lovely little teddy bear display, of which you can adopt one, and receive updates from your teddy bear, which is a lovely idea for youngsters and a great way to donate to the Atkinson and keep this wonderful Southport attraction going.

The local history exhibits (“Between Land & Sea”) are well thought-out: interactive displays, good storytelling of the Sefton coast’s past, biodiversity, tourism history etc. Café, gift shop, library, theatre, art gallery all in the same venue, so there’s more than just “see exhibits” also place to relax, eat, enjoy performances. Fully accessible building: lifts, toilets on all floors, baby changing, changing places facility Good customer services .
Fab T — Google review
Thank you for an accessible experience! We were visiting Southport as we do at least once a year from stockport. Our usual changing places toilets were closed (market hall). We were amazed to find one here so close to the other. A kind lady working there (didnt catch her name sorry) escorted us to the changing places on the first floor. We were a little pushed for time but now we know this is here we will be visiting properly to view the exhibitions. A stunning building too.
Cez B — Google review
The Atkinson is wonderful - constantly changing exhibitions. The art gallery is very inspiring. We also saw the incredible lancaster aeroplane sculpture and other related artwork which had to be seen to be believed. There is a full programme of lectures and talks - something for everyone - even children. Great museum. Also a lovely cafe which was quite cheap. Also had a nice vibe about it. Apart from a few evening lectures it's all free....

Fame was an amazing production for such a young and vibrant cast....better than some things I've seen at the Empire in Liverpool
Margaret B — Google review
This is a lovely museum and library the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved that the staff were knowledgeable about the exhibits. I came here on holiday and loved the exhibitions soo much that i had to visit it twice and i believe that it should supported because it's a lovely place to visit. The children's play area, the alice in wonderland inspired exhibitions along with the ancient egyptology collection, lovely cake shop.

Brilliant little venue! Saw the UK Rock Show and had an absolute ball. Air guitars could be seen everywhere! Staff very helpful and friendly. Even the drinks weren't a rip off! Will looking at this venue again hopefully again very soon! Loved this place!

Nestled in a charming 1.5-acre landscaped area, the Southport Model Railway Village is a delightful destination that has captivated families and model train aficionados since its inception in 1996. This enchanting attraction features a miniature version of Southport, complete with picturesque countryside scenes, quaint villages, and bustling towns. Visitors can marvel at the intricate details as tiny trains navigate through this captivating landscape, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and exploration.
We'd never visited before, so on a sunny Sunday, we decided to pop along and see what was what. We took a picnic along (as suggested on the website) and paid our entrance free. We were handed a paper quiz and pencil, which we thoroughly enjoyed completing as we walked around the attraction. The exhibits were well laid out, making the most of the relatively small footprint of the site. Lots of lovely details to spot amongst the buildings and people and the gardens were pretty and well tended. We chose one of the many benches in a sunny spot with a good view across the little shops and ate our lunch as we watched the diddy people going there and back in the miniature trains. There's a cafe serving light snacks and drinks, but we didn't take advantage of that as we'd taken our own. All in all, it's a really nice way to spend a couple of hours.
Paul R — Google review
We're quite local to Southport having lived in the area for many decades, but we had never visited this attraction - until now. The layout is very well built, and the properties are as impressive as the track layout and trains. It's not a massive site but is very much worth a visit. There is a small cafe area offering teas, coffees and ice cream. The site has an abundance of benches facing in various directions (sheltered and open) so you can take advantage of the good weather and the site is surrounded by high fences, presumably for security, but these act as a good wind break during windy weather. Good family orientated Model Railway Village with plenty to look at. Especially suitable for the younger generation.
Ken R — Google review
Great place to visit for a couple of hours. The attention to detail is amazing and the quiz that you are handed as you enter the attraction helps to make sure you miss nothing. There's even prizes if you spot the answers tot eh clues. The staff are very freindly and accomodating. There are benches throughout the village and an area with tables and chairs where you can eat and drink. You can either buy food & drink from the shop or bring your own food and have a picnic. All in all perfect to kill a couple of hours especially with young children but also suitable for adults.
Louise A — Google review
Our family had a really nice hour exploring/walking round the track (we walked round 3 times). Simply layout but lots to look at. Quiz was fun for our 7 year old and was mesmerised by the trains going around. Only a small place but considering it took 30 years in the planning! (Been there 27 years) Sadly closed over winter. And only open in summer.
Tim B — Google review
Small but well thought out. The model village was cute and lots of little things to see (like firecrew rescuing a cat, a game of cricket etc) For adults; one trip around it enough, for kids maybe a few laps! Got talking to the man who designed it, so knowledgeable and friendly - lovely chap!

Perfect little attraction very good price and plenty to see, I like the quiz that have when you walk around perfect for the family

A Magical Place... If You’re Only Watching We paid £13, hoping for a delightful, hands-on experience for our child but left deeply disappointed. The place is clearly maintained with love and dedication; everything looks beautiful. Yet instead of letting the magic come alive through interaction, the rules felt suffocating: you’re not even allowed to touch the grass. Children are told to merely observe no touching, no feeling, no exploring. My child started the day full of wonder, but by the end, he was in tears, heartbroken as we left because his excitement was met with rigid restrictions. It felt like we paid to watch the enchantment from behind an invisible cage. What makes it worse is that nowhere on their website do they mention that you are only allowed to watch. Had we known this in advance, we would never have visited. Probably the only reason this place is still open is because of unsuspecting tourists like us, who arrive not expecting such strict rules and leave disappointed. A day meant to cultivate wonder turned into frustration. Where is the interaction? Where’s the joy of discovery that makes a visit memorable? I’m baffled how this place stays open when children are reduced to spectators..
Denica I — Google review
A lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, who are willing to chat about the village. Lovely models in a very well-kept setting. Excellent value for money. As I live locally, I return each year.

Nature & Parks
Hesketh Park, established in the mid-1800s, spans approximately 60 acres and offers various amenities for visitors. The park features well-maintained walking trails, inviting visitors to take leisurely strolls or more challenging hikes through its picturesque grounds. Following a recent restoration project worth 3 million, the park now boasts enhanced facilities and scenic sitting areas for relaxation and observation.
Visited Hesketh Park. What a lovely park it is. You have a cafe onsite that sells food & non alcoholic beverages. You also have an ice cream parlour. Which I personally wasn't a fan of myself. They also have a big children's play area. You can also play crazy golf in the park. £3 per person I was told. You have outdoor toilets that cost 40p to use. However, they are kept clean to my knowledge. They have a few walking trails with arch ways and steps to walk up to explore all the different areas in the park. They also have the Observatory in the park which isn't accessible to the public no more. They have the lake to walk around and the water fountains were in action. Very therapeutic to listen to especially on a sunny day. The cafe sellls duck feed for £1 so you can feed the ducks. It is a lovely park to visit. So if you ever go to Southport for a day or a holiday. Definitely checkout the park.

Wonderful park something for everyone. Lovely cafe great playground and the walk around the lake with fountains and benches. Dog friendly areas with maps showing were they are.
Kathryn H — Google review
Very nice park, lots of wide paths and ramps so it would be wheelchair accessible, plants all appear well managed, lots of lovely fountains and ducks to feed, bins throught the park appear to be emptied regularly, didnt see any litter either so thats good, overall a nice park, would visit again :D
George K — Google review
Lovely little park for kids, dog walking or just a walk for some fresh air. Lovely and quiet during school hours. The cafe is great value and the tea is lovely! Only downside is there are no public toilets, there is a toilet available just outside the entrance but you have to pay 40p to use it.
Tash M — Google review
Great walking around the park. Well maintained with joint ventures between parks dept and volunteers.. Very clean with very little litter and no dog muck.
Gordon G — Google review
A lovely Victorian park in Southport about fifteen minutes walk from central Lord Street. It has a lake, a cafe (with a good range of teas for a normal park cafe), a children's play area, a nice separate area of colourful flower beds, wooded areas with banks and paths. And there is an historic small observatory that I never knew existed. It is well worth visiting with children, as a couple of any age, or for some pleasant time on your own.
Kiron R — Google review
A great park for both children and adults. Plenty of space for picnics and activities.
E — Google review
Lovely well maintained park within walking distance of Lord Street - the main shopping street of Southport. Large wild duck pond and lots of paths wandering around the park. Perfect for a slow amble for an hour with the dog. Great play areas to entertain younger children. Small cafe serving lovely Ice creams.

Southport Pier is a historic 19th-century iron walkway, the oldest of its kind in the country and the second longest pier in the UK at one kilometer. Visitors can take a tram ride along its length to enjoy views of Blackpool and even the North Wales coast on clear days. The pier features a tiny museum, vintage penny-operated arcade machines, and a pavilion where you can relax with a cup of tea.

Went as a spontaneous trip around 7/8 at night and the beach was still lively and amazing. Watched the sunset as we sat on the beach
Rachel X — Google review
March 2025. Good news everybody! Oh apologies, my mistake, that was for another topic. Truth is there is no good news for the Pier and I predict the tolling of the death knell has picked up intensity. It appears that Sefton Council has had two fingers from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and that a meagre £10 million grant is not forthcoming anytime soon. Hey, here's an idea, next year you're going to need more money to fix the pier because the bloody thing is being trashed by the elements and can be seen visibly rotting like a dead horse in a meadow. Southport is suffering: the streets are practically deserted during weekdays and weekends are hardly thronged. This is my personal opinion but the Pier is ultimately destined for a lingering death: this pier is no more, it has ceased to be, it's expired and gone to meet its maker. It's a stiff, bereft of life, it's kicked the bucket, shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir. Watch this space folks for more sad news about this once treasured splendour's untimely end. Update December 2024. It's been almost two years since the Pier was deemed unsafe to walk along it's historic boardwalk. Have I good news for fans of this Victorian treasure? No. The Pier is still in a sad and sorry state, it's rotten frame extending towards a slate grey horizon and mired in the saltmarsh clogged mudflats, desperately seeking a saviour to throw a lifeline to save it from the slurry brown soup of the relentless Irish Sea. Sad days. Update July 2024. We have a Labour MP in Southport for the first time so let's hope it's not a pig in a poke of a vote and something akin to a starting gun is fired on the pier's restoration. The cost isn't just in the repair itself but in the lost revenue for businesses and the local economy and Southport's image as a tourist destination. Update June 2024. No change. Still closed and rotting away from neglect. If I wasn't so cynical then I would believe it's going to be repaired to its former glory and not be left to rust into the Irish Sea by the local Ostriches who are allegedly in authority. Currently closed for repairs due to damage discovered in December 2022. It's a seemingly endless process of inspections with no proposed date for reopening as of March 2023. It's a good job it's not a main attraction or a building that Southport is famous for and that attracts tourists, isn't it Sefton Council? Great for a stroll whatever the weather.
Al M — Google review
Very busy on weekends/ school holidays so be prepared to que for your fish n chips, rides etc. Fantastic views on the lengthy promenade with ample places to stop for a rest & refreshments. We loved the Penny arcade train ride. It took us right the way along the promenade & only cost a couple of quid return. Quit clean & tidy considering most of the bins were full to the brim. Huge thumbs up to all the staff working their socks off to please the crowds 👍
Deb — Google review
A busy but fun place to take the family. The beautiful Pier had a small train that will take you out and back should you get tired. There's food and an arcade at the end of the Pier to enjoy as you sit and watch the waves. Even enjoyable to visit during the winter.
Nathan S — Google review
Beautiful day out. Plenty of places to eat. Lovely town. Free parking for disabled blue badge. Pretty shops well worth investigating. Very friendly local people. Will certainly be going back. On the pier there were free loos.
Jonathan B — Google review
It was a lovely long walk down the pier with little trains riding up and down the sea was so far out couldn't see it but the walk was nice to the end, a bit breezy but relaxing. Had a latte and a very sad ham and cheese sandwich which I hardly ate as it wasn't the best. Then rode the little train back, they even take card payment for the ride £4 return or £3 thats adult price unsure of other concessions one way was worth it, especially for the experience.
Discover ( — Google review
Had a leisurely walk to the end of the pier 🥵🥵 WOW!!! Was it warm!!!! Enjoyed an ice cream and a brew, before jumping on the train for the return journey. Thoroughly enjoyed it, in the lovely hot weather and can't wait to do it again! (We must be mad!!! 😂)

Splash World is a large leisure center and water park located in Southport, offering an array of indoor water activities suitable for the whole family. The facility features multiple pools, flume rides, a bubble spa, sports hall, and gym spread across two levels. Visitors can enjoy the all-weather pool maintained at 84 degrees Fahrenheit and a newly installed toddler pool with tipping buckets, rides, and water fountains.
amazing place we spent 4 hours there in total I took my three children and even I went for a swim now I usually I get bored and leave the pool after an hour but I stayed in the water for four hours, the kids didn't want to leave, there is a choice of three slides and the water was lovely and warm the stuff there are so friendly washing facilities are brilliant and locker rooms easy access and changing facilities spot on, prices converter on what you want to buy we bought drinks and snacks and thought it was reasonably priced, the food however was a bit expensive but you do get a lot for what you pay for, and we also brought our own snacks, we will certainly be back again
Cate P — Google review
We wanted to use the splash zone with flumes etc but it was closed. I wonder how much business they are losing with children wanting to go after school during the summer months. As a retired teacher I appreciate holidaying during term time but expect to experience attractions while there.
Carrie H — Google review
Nice a bit pricey but kids Love it! And the staff in the Pool area are terrific always smiling and helpful! It’s a great day out with the kids it could just do with you being allowed to stay a bit longer than 2 hrs! But overall great fun
John D — Google review
£13.00 per child and then were told that next time we visit, it will be £7.00 per person to watch the kids. No wonder it was so quiet. The kids had a good time and the parking was refunded.

I paid for the gold tickets for myself and 3 kids. It came to just under £80. This allowed us in 10-4. The kids loved it, I made some amazing memories and I'm definitely taking them again.

Came here 2 years ago and had a great time. This time the water was cold. Jacuzzi was cold. The floor in the pool looked dirty in places. Only another 10 people on a Saturday during half term speaks volumes.

I visited Splash World today (19th August) with my 7-year-old daughter, and we had such a brilliant time! From the moment we arrived, every single lifeguard we encountered was incredibly friendly, approachable, and attentive. We didn’t manage to catch the names of each team member, but there were around 8 lifeguards on duty during our visit, and every one of them deserves a big thank you. The team today really stood out for their positive attitude, professionalism, and kindness—they made us feel very welcome and safe the whole time we were there. There was plenty to do, and my daughter particularly enjoyed the yellow slide—it was definitely the highlight of her day! It was lovely to see her having so much fun in such a well-organised and supportive environment. Overall, a fantastic experience made even better by the brilliant team working today. Thank You!

Specialty Museums
The British Lawnmower Museum, located in Southport since 1987, offers a unique and fascinating insight into the history of lawnmowers. The museum showcases a collection of mowers donated by celebrities like Brian May, Paul O'Grady, Eric Morecambe, and Alan Titchmarsh. Visitors can explore the evolution of the lawnmower industry with guided tours that trace its history and feature renowned makers such as Rolls-Royce.
My second visit to this quirky museum during Heritage Open Days 2024. Who knew that there were so many old lawnmowers. Please do go and visit.
Lynn ( — Google review
I loved this niche museum. It's very small and one can see the entire place in 30 minutes. There's an audio tour that guides you. The highlight of my visit was seeing Brian May's lawn mower and the letter written by Brian May, donating his lawn mower. A must see if you have a penchant for offbeat museums!
Nisbeth A — Google review
A lawnmower is a lawnmower I was told . I was impressed, I couldn't believe how many sizes and styles there has been, to get to were we are now with robotic lawnmowers, and 155mph + lawnmowers. Very low admission price and full of information. It's on two floors, which can be difficult for some. I enjoyed it.Worth a visit.
Paul C — Google review
They have so many lawnmowers… Exactly what you want from a random museum run by people who are passionate about the subject! Go through the locksmiths, pay your £3 and enter a converted house stuffed full with lawnmowers and lawnmower related nic nacs. If you’re Southport and love gardening and/or whimsy, give it a shot
Alvin S — Google review
Great place to visit, small and to the point. Dependant on your interest you can spend half an hour or a couple of hours. There is an audio tour, just be sure to start in the correct place. Handily, there is a hardware store attached for any bits and pieces you may need !
Paul T — Google review
We entered not knowing what to expect but the commentary which described individual items made it really interesting. Can’t recommend it enough.
John M — Google review
A bit niche but after checking to see what was available to visit in Stockport I decided to pay them a visit and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had never really thought about how the lawnmower was invented but the history was really interesting. I spotted a Qualcast lawnmower identical to the one I used as a boy back in the 1960’s and it brought back a lot of memories
Anthony H — Google review
If you like lawnmowers then this is the place for you. A few celebrities have donated various items which makes the visit slightly more interesting. I've been once probably wouldn't go again.

Southport Beach is a beloved destination in the seaside town, offering expansive sandy beaches that stretch 22 miles across Sefton. It provides stunning views and breathtaking sunsets, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and adventurers. The beach serves as a gateway to the Ribble Estuary, where visitors can witness the convergence of coast and countryside. Southport Beach is just one of several unique beaches in the area, each with its own distinct features and family-friendly amenities.
Great beach, unfortunately pier wasn’t open but as the tide was so far out, we got to stand right underneath it.
Fish T — Google review
It's a running joke that you never see the sea at Southport beach for good reason lol, miles of mud and sand as far as the eye can see were what I was greeted with. However it's still a really gorgeous place, I enjoyed a nice walk on the sandy part, and with lovely expanses of clear blue skies, and as the weather on my visit was beautiful I could even spot Blackpool tower in the distance. The pier was sadly closed when I visited, but it looks amazing. it's super long and I can imagine taking a leisurely walk to the end would be gorgeous.
Adrian — Google review
The beach (sand) is lovely. Lots of places to park and a really nice pub along the promenade but that's all there is. An ice cream van rocked up on the beach too. The water is miles and miles back. So don't expect to sit near it. Dog friendly. Pier is closed.
Charlotte M — Google review
Wonderful beach only stopped for a quick visit with my son recommend to anyone visiting the area Wonderful to walk lots of shells and nice sand .
Calvyn K — Google review
Went here in a day in August, was absolutely gutted to find the tide didn't come in until 7.30pm! The kids had a beach which didn't even have clear sand, it was all black underneath and not soft to play in. As there was no water and a very hot day, was disappointed to have gone. The scenery however, was nice to enjoy nearby near the lake with swan and flamingo boat rides. The boat rides cost £15 for 30 minutes ( have to time yourself on a mobile) for only 4/5 people on a boat at a time. Two people have to paddle with their feet, can get a bit tiring though. There are some other boats on opposite side which charge £5 for adults and £4 for children each. Loved Southport for many years, some great amenities....but the beach is poor, due to a film of silt/sludge of a grey slimy texture. A walk of maybe 100 yards or so brings you to much better sand

Botanical garden
The Botanic Gardens, established in 1874, is a picturesque and heavily wooded botanical garden located in the heart of Southport. Covering approximately 20 acres, it boasts a diverse range of plant species, a serene lake, charming walking trails, and even a small waterfall. Visitors can also enjoy an aviary, fernery, gift shop and cafe within the gardens.
Lovely park, the play area isn't as good as it used to be but during warmer weather the crazy golf is open and good fun. There are birds in the Aviary you can feed there too and of course the ducks. There's a small cafe too where you can get food drinks etc but I've never used it as we usually take a picnic.
Tash M — Google review
Churchtown's Botanic Gardens are well worth a visit, especially the fernery and around the lake. The nearby village is nice but very busy with traffic. I would say it's nice in the context of a park, however sadly I feel that Sefton Council really have let the gardens deteriorate, and the old cafe and museum have became derelict. The area outside the fernery which used to have a small fountain and a variety of flowers has all been filled in with stone and the remaining soil has weeds growing in it. I am grateful that the volunteers have been keeping the Aviary going (currently closed due to an outbreak of avian influenza) and the flowers near the entrance. The paint on the historic bridges have started to flake off and rust is quickly spreading along them. It's a shame to see they haven't been treated well especially given their historic value. Similar can be said for the benches that used to overlook the lake, untreated and uncared for it seems. The new Café is a bit tacky and out of place in my opinion. The staff are friendly but the eat-in area is filled with kids toys and waterpistols and beach balls on sale, a bit odd considering food and alcohol is sold in there with tables and chairs next to it all. It seems a cross between a beach shop and a cafe, not exactly something you'd expect in a Botanical Garden. Still worth a visit, however compared to about 15 years ago, the gardens are only an echo of their former glory, needing major investment from Sefton Council.

Lovely park to visit with lots of trees. Also bought a couple of planters with lovely flowers in them at reasonable prices. Plenty of variety of plants to choose from. Our dog loved it too.
Jeff S — Google review
Lovely displays of flowers and foliage, I particularly enjoyed the fern house. Nice cafe with good selection of hot and cold food and drink and clean public toilets.
Mark H — Google review
Lovely area for a quiet sit or leisurely stroll... Gardens, lake, bowling green, aviary (currently closed due to risk of bird flu) cafe and shop. It's just a shame our country allows beautiful buildings to become "tatty". The volunteers are obviously doing a fabulous job trying to preserve things but government red tape/health and safety therefore cost, possibly stops them doing a lot

What a lovely park and gardens , shame the main big building not open and I saw on some signs it used to have boats and a train...I bet it was buzzing back in the day , looking slightly tired now , cafe was great and looks like this building been recommissioned

We had a blast today at the paws event. Really thought about the dogs in the hot weather with shade and water everywhere. Even frozen doggy treats. Can't wait to see what it can grow into

A fantastic family day out. The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and supportive throughout. The rides were epic, we loved celebrating one of our granddaughters birthday's here. A couple of rides were still closed like the Rocket which was disappointing but we made full use of all the others. All in all, highly recommended day out
Stephen A — Google review
Visited on a dry sunny Saturday in May and the fairground wasn't busy meaning hardly any queues. Good for kids under the age of 12 as there is a wider range of rides they can go on. Tip: If you book in advance online you can get it cheaper (we did this whilst stood outside) Some rides out of action and parts of the park looked very tired and could do with lots of attention to spruce them up. Overall, an average park which offers cheaper admission than others so would recommend a visit whilst in Southport

What great value for money, managed to go on everything more than once, the children absolutely loved it and we did too. So much choice and excitement. Staff were lovely, the place is well maintained and food was good and cheap too :) would definitely come again and recommend to friends/family. Made some nice memories today.

I attended the Paws in the Park event on Saturday 28th June as part of the Preston Agility Dogs Team. We had a brilliant day and Marri who organised it with the team couldn’t have done any more to help. For their first dog event like this in the short time they arranged it all I think they did a brilliant job, everyone on the team had a great day including all our dogs, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated and enjoyed all our interactions with all staff who were happy to chat to us - even Captain Jack Sparrow left his important jar of dirt to come and watch our display! We had 3 set times we did our shows which were advertised on boards around the dog section of the park. I would be very happy to come back next year with my agility team and watch the show get bigger and better. My only feedback would be to put all the dog stalls and events in the same area so we are all in one big section together, with a few more stalls which I have no doubt doggy people would love to join next year it will be a fantastic yearly event Thanks to all involved

Adventure coast dog show. Travelled for what we thought would be a day out. For an advertised dog show. Absolutely rubbish 2 stalls and a photographer. 1 stall told us they didn't like the breed of dog we had many off. So poor and disappointing worse dog show ever visited. Staff didn't even know it was on or where it was. Asked for refunds miss sold , told no.

Wouldn't visit with little ones (under 1.1m) as not much for them, it's decent little park, but maybe need to change ticket prices for people attending with smaller ones, as we shouldn't have to pay full price, just to ride on baby rides with them.

Ainsdale Beach is a renowned stretch of sandy coastline situated between Southport and Formby. It has been recognized with a Blue Flag and holds a Quality Coast Award, making it one of the best beaches in the North West of England. The beach is not only perfect for sunbathing but also popular for various kite sports such as kite buggying, landboarding, and kitesurfing. Visitors can also explore the nearby Discovery Centre to learn about the local beach wildlife.
We're blessed for having this beach on our doorstep. Every day is different thanks to our lazy tides. Beach as far as the eye can see. Ideal for anything you can think of. It's kept clean thanks to Sefton Council and responsible visitors some regular and some not. There are some who collect washed up rubbish as means of meditation and looking after the environment. It is very satisfying to do so. Water quality is often very good. I use safer Seas app to keep an eye on. Plenty of parking and plenty to do. I would highly recommend.
Ergun S — Google review
Ainsdale Beach in Liverpool is a fantastic spot deserving 5 stars. It features clean, wide sandy shores and beautiful dunes, perfect for relaxing or family days out. We experienced that the beach was safe with lifeguards, were seen all around that place, clean facilities, and easy parking. Comparing to Formby, much better to have Car just next to you and also there was Bathroom facility at Parking enterence, though very expensive Parking fee (10£) We were there around 11ish in the morning. Wasn't much crowded and beach was clean and water was down. People had kites there and I would say with 15 to 16 degrees sunny day, it was perfect weather to be there since it wasn't much crowded and there was plenty of clean and shinning sand to play around. Kids really enjoyed it very well.
Hamad A — Google review
Great drive on beach, clean with bins available. Dog friendly and lots of sand to explore. Life guards on site and very helpful and friendly. Regular ice cream van visits too.
Gabriella G — Google review
Love this beach it’s fabulous. But a flat rate of £10 to park is steep especially if you’re only going to be there a couple of hours (and can’t stay longer due to having a child with disabilities who needs therapy etc). A pay and display system would work much better

A good beach but it’s price £10 to park your car is expensive there is ice cream truck and lifeguards and more and that is close down southport Pontins is permanently closed next by the beach and the beach is open to 7pm at night enjoy your beach experience

Great beach. We will remember our visit here for many years to come.
Joe C — Google review
I love Ainsdale Beach. Wild and less popular compared to nearby Formby. A favourite for locals and their dogs. Car parking on the beach is pricey so a treat when purchased to enjoy the sea or fun view! If you're into kites/ kite-surfing this is the The Place. Often windy (like much if NW coast). Listen out for natterjack toads in spring! Then and autumn/winter weekdays quieter than summer hols, but even then it's a big beach Facilities - toilets not always open but when they are (summer) clean in ladies. Building looks in need of love. Update: shiny new small food n sit place near beach car park entrance. Not sure opening times.

Had a great day out at the flower show, plenty on to keep you entertained, a good choice of food and drink ,plus the exhibition of flowers. Will inspire you to try your hand at gardening.
Stephen S — Google review
Inspiring garden ideas, lots of stalls selling food, garden equipment, plants and clothing, demonstrations of beekeeping, birds of prey, floral art.
Richard P — Google review
Southport Flower Show is huge and there is much more than just flowers. The dogs show was top quality. The variation of stalls was amazing. The food was quite expensive but you can take your own food in so we had a picnic. We had a brilliant day and have already bought tickets for next year.
Melissa B — Google review
There are not many show gardens which let it down. There is more than enough to do and see during the day. Exhibitions in several marquees, but the majority of the space is used for stalls. Plants tend to be cheaper and there is more variety than the garden centres. We didn't buy food there as we enjoyed our own picnic. There are many demonstrations going on during the day so make sure you arrive early.
Yen — Google review
Still a great show, it's far removed from a traditional flower show and there's no real local feel, which is a shame, given that this is one of the best growing areas in the UK. There's also never any genuine efforts to bring in the challenges of gardening on sandy soil and choosing plants to reflect local conditions - not to mention the dangers of choosing plants that may become, or already are, invasive species that threaten the integrity of the internationally recognised dune flora. Last year's stand promoting locally-grown cut flowers was a great success.
Margaret D — Google review
Amazing flower show. Much larger than we'd anticipated. Fortunately the weather was really hot and sunny. The number of exhibitors was great, so much stuff to buy from plants (obviously), pet products, arts and crafts, home products etc etc the list goes on. Excellent place to get help and info with gardening issues. There where a number of show gardens that looked amazing and where made by schools, charities, exhibitors etc. We purchased a 1m² wonderwall with 42 plants for £150, absolutely bargain and it looks amazing now it's set up at home. It was just bargains galore all round with so many plants I'd not come across before and prices way better than my local garden centers. Accessibility was excellent with wide even pathways for wheelchair access The availability of food and drink was good with loads of different food types from around the world although some of it was a little expensive as is the norm at these shows. It was £10 for parking which we didn't know about before we arrived so that was a little annoying. We went on the 1st day of the 4 day event so everything was all perfectly set up and we'll stocked. Would certainly recommend this show to anyone who enjoys gardening or floristry etc. Makes an ideal day out for all the family especially if the weather's good.

With its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to fostering artistic expression, Little Theatre Southport offers audiences a unique experience that celebrates both emerging artists and established performers alike.
A great little theatre. I'm from Stoke. I've been to Manchester, Liverpool, London and a few smaller theatres elsewhere. The stage, seats and set up is a con. Little Theatre? It's better than the new vic in Stoke a professional place. It's better than all of the community theatre places I've ever been to. I've seen 3 days there now. Great shows. My only minor thing is the bar it's a place to stay for a few drinks but the only bit that is weaker. I've been to places that claim to be a pub that are worse. The drinks are good. There is a good array of liquid assets to allow for the jollification of many. Before I went to a Nepalese place. Best curry in a long time. And after a drink in town. It's kept, that's how I'd describe it. The old flip down chairs like a theatre should have. They are maintained though, not worn or tired. The carpet is even custom made. It packs a big punch and bang for your buck. £12 to see Evita, a production that was better than some big theatres. Breaking he code was good too. Sheila's island another I saw.
Mike G — Google review
Very comfortable seats, good shows supporting local artists and economy. My only gripe was the bar area being lit with blue lights. Blue is a cold colour. Pleasant staff and clean toilets. Would recommend.

A lovely theatre run by volunteers with a full programme of plays, musicals, and a panto to a very high standard. Only a stones throw from the train station. The photo is showing where the magic starts backstage.
David S — Google review
This is a fantastic theatre and we go multiple times a year. However if you're going to go tonight to the Ghost show and are sitting in the first 5 rows you will need a gas mask. The over use of the smoke machine was unrelenting and dense, people were waving their arms throughout the first half and the women next to me coughed continually and had to leave on one occasion and I've coughed continually today. It was horrendous and spoiled a brilliant performance. I did raise it at the break and it seemed like the machine was pointed towards the back of the stage for a short part of the second the act. Only then to be directed forward again. I get it was meant to reflect the rising steam in New York..but the whole show?? I'm sure you will say it doesn't do harm, but with that amount and the time it was being discharged that would be one for environment health to adjudicate on.

A really lovely restaurant just off Lord Street. First time here and the food was excellent, with a good wine list. ‘Set Menu’ prices are very reasonable, although we did pay for ‘supplements’. Really friendly and efficient service without being pretentious. A lovely atmosphere; stylish decor, good music, and a nice vibe on a Saturday evening. Will definitely return when visiting Southport.

Lovely lunch on a quite ish side street! Cannot fault it in anyway -first class service and food ! Good offers on a set menu for lunch -but not expensive on the normal menu either ! Didnt get hit with silly drink prices either -infact I'd say they were very reasonable ! Will be back again -the salt and pepper squid and the mussels frites were outstanding !

Ate here at the weekend and we loved it. Extremely good value set menu and everything cooked to perfection, decent wine and lovely cocktails. If this was in our local town we'd be paying the same for a single main course as it cost us for 3 here and the cocktails twice as much. Next time we're in Southport we will return, you're lucky to have this in your town.

French restaurant just off Lord Street. Good quality food, well presented and a good selection of wines. The service is excellent as the staff is very accommodating. The place is decorated in good style and is comfortable but quite noisy. The restaurant is large with high ceiling and an open first floor mezzanine type so the voices and noises seem to echo a bit. But all in all a very nice restaurant.

I like to visit the theatre through the year, esp at Christmas time when the pantomime is on- I have been the last 3 yrs. The panto has always been lots of fun and laughter. Suitable for all ages. I was surprised that we were given 2 complimentary programmes. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Emma B — Google review
Not a bad place but I should say something's need addressing for the use of a music venue, especially like the sound system, which sounded rubbish at this weekend's tribute festival. If you were in a position to get a good view, like at the back in the middle, the sound was like listening to muffled music through a bee hive and if you got in a position where your ears didn't hurt, then you ended up having a poor view - unless you were 7 foot. Which really was a great shame for these acts, not doing them any justice at all. Other things like inflated prices, paying £2 for a small coffee, £2.50 for a Pepsi max and £6.70 Rhubarb Gin with lemonade, we all come to expect to be ripped off at these sort of places now. Staff members and security at the even seemed mostly good, but let's hope things improve for what could be a good little venue.
Marc G — Google review
The hotel is ok, comfortable, but getting old. Only 2 lifts which are very slow. The convention centre is also ok and quite large. The connecting doors between the hotel and convention centre were "broken" so guests had to go outside when going between each venue.

Meols Hall Events Ltd, located in Churchtown, Southport, is a stunning 12th-century manor house that opens to the public for just one month each year. The venue boasts a 400-year-old barn that serves as a picturesque wedding venue. Visitors have been captivated by the beauty of Meols Hall and its grounds, with many expressing their love for the venue and its accommodating staff.
We recently had our wedding at Meols Hall, and we couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely brilliant—always responsive, helpful, and a real pleasure to deal with. In the lead-up to the day, nothing was ever too much trouble, and their clear communication made the planning process so much smoother. On the day itself, everything ran perfectly thanks to the amazing team. They were friendly, efficient, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure everything went just right. The costs were also really clear from the outset, which we really appreciated. The venue itself is stunning—our guests absolutely loved it and many commented on what a beautiful and special place it was. Everyone had such a great time, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. We’d strongly recommend Meols Hall to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It was everything we hoped for and more!

We had our wedding at Meols Hall and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The venue is simply breathtaking and full of charm, character, and romance. The beautiful cobbled courtyard, the stunning Tithe Barn, and the surrounding grounds created the most magical backdrop for our day. Every part of it felt timeless and elegant, yet warm and welcoming. The team at Meols Hall were amazing to work with. They were so friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly and exactly as we’d envisioned. Nothing was too much trouble, and their experience really shone through we felt completely at ease knowing we were in such good hands. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue, and we truly couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Meols Hall has this wonderful combination of history, beauty, and intimacy that makes it so special. We’ll treasure our memories there forever and would recommend Meols Hall to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable wedding venue. It was everything we hoped for and so much more. ❤️

We had our wedding here on 22/08/25 and it was the most perfect day. This was the third venue that we had viewed, but as soon as we walked in we both instantly knew it was the one for us. Not only are the venue and the grounds stunning, but the ladies that work there (Julia and Sue) were amazing from the get go. From us initially looking around, the booking process, planning stage and right up until the day, which they made sure everything ran smoothly and there really wasn't a thing for us to do or worry about. We booked their twilight package, which meant we were able to have a more informal celebration after the ceremony - no seating plan or formal sit down dinner, and more focus on the party - this suited us down to a T! This also meant we were able to go with Graham Eyes the butcher for our catering, who provided canapes and a fantastic BBQ, many of our guests complimented how good the food was and we couldn't have agreed more. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking to book their wedding, it's a beautiful setting and Julia and Sue will do all they can to make sure you have the most incredible day! A wonderful day for us both - the best day of our lives (so far!). Couldn’t have asked for more, the team went above and beyond in terms of the help they gave us, and everything went like clockwork. A stunning venue, the courtyard felt like something from the Mediterranean in the evening sun, and the grounds were beautiful. Churchtown will forever have a special place in our heart, and Meols Hall most of all
Roy C — Google review
We viewed a few venues that were all nice but the second we walked into Meols Hall we cancelled all of our other viewings with other venues as we just knew it was perfect. The venue even had a package for twilight weddings in the making when we booked which is exactly what we wanted. The venue is perfect, the staff are amazing and so helpful and down to earth, we had no issues at all what so ever and were able to see the venue as many times as we wanted beforehand. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thank you so much Meols Hall team ♥️

We had our wedding in June and from the moment we selected the Tithebarn at Meols Hall we knew we had made the perfect choice. Julia and Sue helped us through all the pre planning and were unbelievable on the day. They are fabulous people who made our whole wedding so special. Nothing is too much trouble and we would highly recommend them and the venue. 5 stars.

My partner and I got married earlier this month and the whole experience couldn't have gone any better! Julia, Sue and the whole team at Meols Hall were incredible to work with every step of the way. No matter how many questions I asked they always made sure they were available to help. The venue speaks for itself, it’s utterly beautiful! 3 weeks post wedding and our guests are still talking about it which says it all. We can’t thank the staff enough for helping to create our dream day ❤️

Vue Cinema Southport is a modern chain cinema that offers the latest mainstream movies and family deals. The staff is known for being pleasant, helpful, and polite. The auditorium and toilets are clean and well-serviced. While snack prices are high, the cinema provides a fantastic family treat with some of the cheapest prices for screenings. Visitors can enjoy comfortable seating, fresh food and drinks, as well as free parking.
I had the pleasure of visiting the newly refurbished Vue Southport after a day visiting Southport and it was a fun experience. It's great to walk into a nice new, modern, vibrant cinema with friendly staff. The cinema has recently been refurbished with new reclining seats and sound and vision upgrades to 4K screens etc and that really added to the film experience. Amazing *loud* sound and superb picture quality. The new seats are without a doubt an upgrade from standard non-reclining seats, however they seem to be a downgrade from the older reclining seats at the Manchester/Bolton etc Vue cinemas as they are shorter, not as wide and they don't recline as much, which is a shame. You can pay more to sit in "Ultra Lux" seats at the back of the cinema should you want to. I had a really great chat with a lovely member of staff who was really passionate about cinema and film; she's a credit to Vue Southport. Looking forward to enjoying a film after a day exploring Southport again soon 😊 You also get a full day of free parking when you visit the cinema 🚘🎟️

It's been a while since we been to a cinema and thanks to the friendly and helpful staff, we didn't feel like fish out of water. Very comfortable seating but could be costly for a person on a budget. Everywhere including the toilets were spotlessly clean. Wheelchair accessible throughout and free 3 hours parking. Would recommend.
Ergun S — Google review
I’m very pleased with the recent changes - the electronic gateway that scans your ticket, the luxurious reclining seating, the ample leg room and generous sized rooms. The ticket prices aren’t as cheap as they used to be, risen by a few quid to keep up with inflation I suspect, it’s still way better value than going to other chains. But remember; this is a multiplex and I suspect there is no such thing as a projectionist in the building - with all their films shown according to an externally controlled automated system. I hope that’s not the case, but am reasonably sure I’m right in my assumption. I’d be grateful for an answer if possible.
John G — Google review
The cinema was well laid out, fully accessible apart from needing a radar key for the accessible toilet - which by the way limits accessibility. They only do 4 showings a week for deaf people (subtitled shows) which is unfortunate. Saw final destination. Food is absolutely overpriced but the staff were friendly. We used the free sky tickets so didn't mind the extra cost on snacks. Cinema was spotless when we went in.
Quinn T — Google review
I would like to thank the lovely, helpful young man on the ticket stand yesterday. He advised me with regards to parking and said he would help me once I returned later that day. Unfortunately, I'd got the wrong day, which I only realised when I went to collect members of my family.
Christine B — Google review
Fantastic family treat. Some of the cheapest prices (family screenings from £2.50 pp) and friendliest staff around!! Very clean, comfortable seating, clean toilets, fresh food/drink & all the latest films available. Blows other cinema companies out of the water! Wish we had a VUE cinema in our town!! 👍
Deb — Google review
I would give this a 0 star but I can't. I was going to this cinema with my family to watch a film. I was going to pay for my snacks and one of the cashiers asked me if I've already got ym tickets to watch a film and I said yeah. He asked what film and I said the conjuring and then he said that he won't be allowed to let my 2 brothers go through the gate as they don't look 15. Then the manager came and had said asked if my parents have got any form of Id for a 15 year old. This included as a passport. Sorry but who carries around a passport with them? The manager had asked my mum for any birthday pictures as a form of Id, she found a picture of my brother in his school uniform and the manager didn't like that answer and said I can't let him thro as it's 'illegal'. Another manager from behind the tills came and was listening in. She was very very rude and snotty. My dad was saying to the manager what he would do if he took us all through the gates would you ring the police and the manager said yeah. My dad said ring the police them because don't they'd do anything. The manger then no. Like what? Make sense. This cinema is just a joke. My sister and my 2 brother are over the age of 15 and my 2 brothers were asked for id. The manager behind the tills was very snotty, she pulled a face at my mum and had told the male manager (who was talking to my dad at the time) to walk away. How rude!!!!! I was blocked from watching a 15 when a previous day I was let through to watch an 18 I do not recommend southport vue. They have ruined a night out. The manager had said my dad 'wow teenagers without their phones outside' (condensending) we were having family time without our phones!!!

Wheelchair access was mostly poor before and now with the refurb it's even worse. The prices are twice the cost because of these recliner seats but no cheaper option for people like me who bring their own seat!! Then despite so much money going into the redesign, the wheelchair spaces are between no better or even worse with being in the front. Why pay for it???

Southport Market, situated on Market Street, has become a bustling hub for food enthusiasts and socializers alike. With a variety of dining options such as pizza, Greek gyros, pasta, sushi, and delectable desserts available from 10am to 10pm daily, visitors can indulge in culinary delights or unwind with evening drinks in the lively ambiance. The market's success has drawn numerous visitors to Southport and sparked significant investment in the Market Quarter.
Took the family out for dinner. Ordering was fast and easy with everyone having different cuisine. From Korean corn dogs to Chicken burgers and Greek salad. All cooked fresh to order - very good atmosphere as well considering all the roadworks outside causing disruption.

The last time I came here it was a food and clothes market. It has changed beyond recognition. There's now a central bar with food stalls placed around the walls. Had a pint of Doombar and tried out the Korean spiced noodles with Ragu. I would recommend it, very tasty.

Loved the gyros. Chip seasoning was a bit weird Tried the mexican. Tiny over priced tacos that dripped with fat and was mostly tasteless goo. Then pot of dripping to dip the already fat oozing tony taco

As a group of friends we have been here on 14/12/2024. Was an amazing place to hang out with friends. The first girls night put after i been to UK I would say after three years 😅 Food and drinks are good quantity and quality but so noisy environment as it is a very closed space. There are seating arrangements outside the place and can smoke outside. Highly recommended. I lost this close friend very recently so came here to post a pic and give a review so that it stays forever in the southport market memories. Also we had her favourite drink cheeky vimto ♥️xx

I don’t think you can give a fare review of this place until you’ve tried everything, from what I’ve tried so far it’s very hit and miss with prices exceeding expectations. It’s a nice atmosphere and great for kids but deep pockets maybe needed, £20 for a burrito and fries vs £20 for two decent pizzas. I’m guessing prices are a reflection of rent.
Glenn M — Google review
Pretty quiet due to road works but the place was very clean and food choices were great. We chose the Greek restaurant and the food was amazing.

A fantastic place to visit with friends when you can’t all agree on what to eat! Everyone can choose their own meal from any of the vendors, grab drinks from the central bar, and then relax together while you wait. When your food’s ready, the pager you’re given will beep and flash — simple and efficient. Great atmosphere, great variety, and a really enjoyable place to eat.

Silcock's Funtime Amusements is a classic British seaside arcade that offers a cheesy yet enjoyable experience. It's the perfect spot to indulge in some fish and chips or ice cream while braving the coastal wind. The facility is well-maintained with a wide variety of games for all ages, including older machines that still provide entertainment.
Spent a fortune and kids walked out with some cheap sea side tat, but...... They had fun and that's what they are there for. The only machines I won on were the change machines 🤣🤣
Gareth J — Google review
I've been here many times during the day but noticed they were open until 10pm so on a spur of the moment decision, decided to go and spend an hour there. We arrived at 8:50 only to see it was closed, despite the website saying it was open until 10pm. Keep your website up to date if you are going to change your opening times! . . . In response to your reply, it was on a Google search and Golden Sovereign on Nevill St States closes 10pm. See pic below
S M — Google review
This is a great place to go when you have children of any age. My children, their children and their children have had hours of fun in there. They love to get tickets from the machines that do them and get a toy from the shop. There is also a small cafe that is cheap enough to feed lots of hungry mouths without breaking the bank. Perfect place as well when its pouring down. Kids and adults love it. It looks great decorated for xmas. 2023
CHRISTINE P — Google review
Silcocks seem to have found new ways to strip fun out of amusements! Overpriced games, no prizes in the 2p machines, creepy staff members asking for hugs from my partner, charging to withdraw cash and even charging to use the toilet! REALLY?? If there was a way for them to charge for the oxygen you breath when you walk in I’m pretty sure they’d do it. Today marks the last 2p spent under their roof.
Chris D — Google review
When we go to the seaside we like to play the 2p falls. Unfortunately Silcocks no longer seem to put the little toys in that everyone likes to try and win. Now it's all tickets and there's not much fun in that. At least I didn't lose as many 2ps
John H — Google review
Arcade nice variety of fruit machines good. But charging 20p for toilets in my opinion is cheeky as people spend enough in the arcade. Yes you get a token if you ate in the cafe. But what about when you spend money on the machines same difference or in fact probably spend more. Wont give my money to silcocks again down to principle
Sandra C — Google review
Great on a wet August day to be able to spend time with younger children on machines that take 2p . So many of the larger places have machines needing 10p a go. Nice friendly, patient staff too
Shirley W — Google review
For me, Funland is always a great place to end a day in Southport. Plenty to keep the family entertained and always leave with a fluffy toy or two. I do, however, have to say that I found a few of the machines need maintenance/replacing.

The Southport Food and Drink Festival, celebrating its tenth anniversary at Victoria Park from 3-5 June, is expected to draw thousands of visitors. The event offers a diverse range of local produce as well as international food and drinks. Dogs are welcome too, adding to the lively atmosphere. For a true taste of the festival's seaside location, seafood is highly recommended. Despite slightly higher prices for food and drink, the free entry makes it worthwhile.
We visited over the weekend, having stumbled upon it by chance and we had an amazing time. I couldn’t believe how big it was! There was so much on offer from food and drink, to artisan stalls, a craft marquee, live entertainment and lots to do for the kids. We loved it so much we stayed over in Southport and returned the next day. We’ll definitely be returning next year.
Sarah H — Google review
Good atmosphere and variety of independent stalls. Food is either fairly ordinary fast food or good but expensive between two buns or with chips. Not enough ethnic diversity (in the food), too much deep fried, very little gluten-free and not a decent coffee in sight - this seems a massive omission given all the sugary desserts on offer.
Ross D — Google review
Had fantastic day really enjoyed the Schofield's wagon bought me back to the days the wagon came on a Thursday morning brilliant
David M — Google review
It was awful. We went with high expectations of meeting a range of local growers and makers of good food. A few stalls were like that butMost of the stalls seemed to be those of sellers of fast food. It was very crowded around them and unless you were willing to be jostled and take the risk of COVID transmission it was hard to get to the stalls and no pleasure. We tried hard to enjoy it. We had travelled a long way to visit it.

Visitors can enjoy various attractions and food or bring their own and relax in camping chairs while watching the spectacular show.
A fantastic evening at the annual fireworks championships show. It’s always a very well ran event and always very popular so make sure you visit Southport early to find suitable parking and plan your exit as well because it’s heavy traffic getting back out of Southport. Overall had a good experience tonigh but kids were looking forward to it for so long and for the fireworks to be cut short was gutting for them :( I understand it was a technical issue but we were praying they would get sorted on the night so they could continue as our children were mesmerised by the few that one 💥 and we kept telling them they were coming on again soon (they are only small 3 and 6) so we’re devastated when realises is wasn’t coming back on! Absolutely brilliant place for everyone the kids love it here. Plenty to do. Bowling is fantastic and cheap. Coffee and food is good. The hurricane machine is fantastic for the kids.

Tenpin Wrexham is a pretty solid bowling alley that's fun for the whole family. It's a nice space but there is renovations going on in the building. The food though did disappoint though as the pizzas were quite small and basic. Also the lack of ATM to get money out for the arcade there was a bummer, but there's and ATM a few minutes away.
William S — Google review
This is an ideal place to take the kids and have fun. Unfortunately our second experience wasn't as great as we had to wait over half hour for our drinks to come to the bowling booth after ordering through the app as well as going to the bar twice to ask what was taking so long. Granted we could of just gone to the bar and bought drinks but this takes away time from your games which is why they offer the option to use the app. Hopefully any future experience will be a better one.
Dave G — Google review
Poor experience. Pins are on strings and interfere with other pins. Staff are not very helpful. We booked as a party of 7 they split us up over 2 lanes which is fine. But they put us between a large screen. When I asked to have 2 lanes sharing the same space they made out like it was very difficult and went happy to help. Slow service. Wounds go again in a rush.
Chris W — Google review
I went here and i was completely harassed, I have a bladder condition and i take a while in the toilet, so my boyfriend explained this to the staff who said “sure buddy” and from then on staff was following us around. It didnt help the situation that my boyfriend is black, so the fact that they didnt take his word for it that i had a bladder problem screams racism. I assume they thought i was doing drugs but it was completely ableist to harass me just because i take long in the bathroom. Bartender Ashley was really nice, he just seemed fed up like he hated his job which is completely understandable because the rest of the staff are horrible. Tenpin you’ve completely ruined my birthday
Tia D — Google review
It was decent to be fair. We've been a few times previously and it hasn't been the tidiest but no complaints this time. We compared the prices with the Wrexham one and the Cheshire oaks one and Wrexham was much cheaper for the same thing!? The drinks and service were pretty good, loads of bowling balls available and the game itself was fun - the kids loved it. Didn't eat there as we went next door to nandos so I can't comment on the food. The arcade section was pretty good as well. We and the kids had a few games of air hockey before leaving. Loads of parking around - overall was worth going. We'll go again.
Alan K — Google review
Great experience with my family on the bowling alleys, great fun for the family, any family because they have little rollers which your kids can roll the balls down if they can't roll the balls themselves.really good as well as the arcades and the bar along with food service which is being to you if you order on the app.just amazing
