Not knowing what to expect and not really a big fan of museums we were pleasantly surprised at how good this was. The staff were very friendly and the audio was easy to use giving details as you walked around. The immersive areas were fantastic, walking around each area with background music really brought things to life. The yellow submarine, the cavern club, strawberry fields, abbey road, penny Lane... everything was amazing. We visited the actual cavern club the night before and the room in the museum was exactly the same. We are so glad we visited. The shop, cafe and discovery area where you could dress up as a beetle were all great too. Highly recommend, probably the best place we visited in Liverpool.

We had an AMAZING experience at The Beatles Story. Went on a Monday in the late morning. There were 4 of us, including our 8 year old Beatles obsessed son. The self guided audio tour allowed a lot of flexibility for our multi generational group. The exhibits were spot on and great photo ops! Learned a ton, had a blast! Definitely recommend!

It was really good. The replica of the cavern club and the yellow submarine were great. The shop is extensive with loads of beatles merch that my kids are now enjoying. Overall a great day The only downside was everyone walking around with the headphones and little tablets. Almost felt like I was in a zombie apocalypse. I had to keep interrupting my party to chat about it, or be interrupt myself when they wanted to chat.

The flow of the museum is well-organized, and I recommend spending at least 1.5 to 2 hours to explore it fully. 🎟️ Tickets can be booked online (around £20 for adults) and it’s best to reserve in advance, especially on weekends or holidays. The staff were friendly and everything was easy to navigate. 🚆 Getting there: The museum is at Royal Albert Dock — about a 20-minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station or a 5-minute walk from James Street Station. Very nice experience with a great history behind the band. You go down the steps into the entrance and are invited to have a green screen photo of yourselves as the beetles, Headsets are provided with short video's shown as you go around and yes you can sit down at various stops and enjoy the story, art, photos and videos of your self guided tour it IS a place to visit if your visiting the UK and enjoy old music and history made and shaped modern sound you have today. I provided a FEW photo's but you will have to visit to enjoy what's there ! Ps The staff are very friendly as are the locals who will guide you to and through the venue 👍

An excellent experience. I spent the best part of 4 hours there because I wanted to learn about all the exhibits. The best part for me was the replica of the Cavern Club - I could just imagine myself there in the 60s, watching the Beatles play! I was slightly let down by the audio guide gadget, which stopped working halfway through my time there. Because there were no staff inside the exhibition, I had to walk through to the end, get a replacement and then go back in. That's why I've removed a star.

We went to visit it but it was closed due to renovations. The area is nice, spacious and there’s a lot of stores. I was told the museum has incredible exhibits and it’s worth spending time there. There are toilets in every big block and lots of walking spaces.

Great museum with great guides. Great place to bring family, pupils, students to learn about British history, the trans Atlantic slave and how much Britain had to do with it, among many other things. Highly recommend! For anyone bringing children, please brief them on being respectful for there's a lot of sensitive history displayed.

Incredible place with so much history. Suitable for all ages and also has interactive features throughout. Free to enter but a £5 donation is appreciated. Well worth £5. But it's not mandatory to pay. So a low income family could visit for free.

I personally feel this Maritime museum in Liverpool is better than the one in London. Really enjoyed it. There are 3 floors showing different themes to make me understand so much about the maritime’s world. Also there are a lot of parts to make kids interested. Will definitely bring kids to come again. 2-hour trip with kids is an ideal timing to enjoy I suggest. Definitely A Great Museum👍

It’s a great place to look back on the history and learn about trades, railway revolutions, lifestyle and some glimpse from WW1 and WW2 in city soldiers section. It’s worth the trip. It is well maintained, educational and walkable distance from bus and train station.

Nipped in here with my 9 year old and my husband as we were in Liverpool to go to my university library. I have been here many times and everytime I feel like I am seeing something new or realising I missed something the last time I was there. The atmosphere is so calm 😌 The staff there are so lovely and helpful, lifts work and toilets were very clean. There were some interactive displays for the children to get involved in which was amazing to see. Will definitely be back 😀

The exhibits themselves are thoughtfully curated, covering everything from the city's maritime past to its vibrant musical heritage. It's clear that a great deal of effort has gone into telling Liverpool's story, and the sheer breadth of content makes for a very interesting and informative visit. ​The staff also deserve a special mention. They were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, always ready with a friendly smile and keen to answer any questions. Their enthusiasm for the museum and the city's history was infectious and added a lot to the overall experience. ​However, a couple of issues detracted from what could have been a perfect visit. The first was the use of audio within the displays. In several sections, audio—whether it was spoken dialogue or ambient sound—was playing, and the noise from multiple sources made it very difficult to concentrate. It was a real challenge to read the display boards and absorb the information when competing with overlapping audio from other parts of the exhibition. ​Secondly, the lighting in some areas was far too dim. While I appreciate the intention to create a certain atmosphere, the low light levels made it genuinely hard to view the items and, more importantly, to read the text on the display boards. I found myself straining to make out words and details, which took away from the enjoyment of the exhibits. ​Overall, the Museum of Liverpool is a must-visit for anyone interested in the city's past, thanks to its fascinating content and excellent staff. However, addressing the issues with audio and lighting would make the experience significantly more accessible and enjoyable for all visitors. The museum has the potential to be truly world-class, and these small changes would make a huge difference.

The Liverpool World Museum is a must visit cultural landmark in the city. Best of all, it’s free to enter and perfect for both adults and kids. The museum has so much to see, from the Planetarium, Dinosaurs, Ancient Egypt, and Endangered Plants to the Bug House and Aquarium. Each floor offers different themed exhibits, so there’s something for everyone. Plan to spend around 2–3 hours here. Afterwards, you can easily walk to St George’s Hall and Liverpool Central Library, both right next door. A great way to spend a day in Liverpool!

I absolutely loved this museum. Five floors of amazing facts, history, and knowledge, yet my mum and I only made it to the third floor. We spent four whole hours just wandering through those first three levels, soaking everything in. The aquarium was a delight. I was amazed to learn that it is the second-oldest aquarium in the world, and from what I could observe (with my admittedly limited knowledge), the fish and other marine animals seemed well cared for which is a big plus in my book. And then came the permanent Egyptian exhibit. A dream come true. I’ve always been deeply fascinated by ancient Egypt, and this museum’s collection is truly outstanding. Dare I say it even surpasses the British Museum’s Egyptian section? I could be wrong — it has been a while since my last visit there — but that was my honest impression. And the mummy room? I could have spent hours in that one space alone. I’ll definitely be back. There are still two more floors waiting for me, and I can’t wait to uncover the rest.

Visited the World Museum Liverpool and absolutely loved it! It’s such a fascinating place with so much to see — from space and nature exhibits to ancient history. The Ancient Mummies section was definitely my favourite; really well presented and full of interesting facts. It’s a perfect spot for families or anyone who enjoys exploring museums — you could easily spend a whole day here. Parking nearby can be a bit tricky, but once you’re inside, it’s totally worth it. A must-visit if you’re in Liverpool!

A lovely experience and completely free (unless you want tickets for a talk). We only visited the Egyptian tier but even so that had plenty to offer with the mummy room and great memories for my grandmother who visited Egypt herself. There is a gift shop and nice cafe area. Also grateful for the seating areas because we sure did underestimate the stairs!

My family and I visited the World Museum for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Intuitive layout of different areas of interest; the aquarium was wonderful and sympathetically created, and the cafe was spacious and inexpensive. Unlike other similar museums we've visited, we are happy that The World Museum is NOT an adventure playground, often appealing only to very young children. This museum has great interest for ALL ages, and we hope it remains this way. We can't wait to visit again soon.

Lovely museum, the sections are small so little ones should not get to bored but if they are wanting more then maybe disappointing to them. Great for free day out. Cafe was really reasonable and the seating area was stunning. Cute little gift stop. Also lockers. Can rent locker for the day £2 but have to pay £5 on the day and then £3 gets refunded to you. Great if your hotel won’t let you check in. Will take backpacks and slim suitcase as have different sizes

This is quite a basic natural history museum. The majority of the exhibitions are free and quite interesting but they are small and simple. The most interesting exhibition is the Egyptian one with real mummies and artifacts that you won't see anywhere. Word of advice, if you hate kids this place will be a nightmare for you. It is packed even during weekdays. Also, this is an issue in every close space in the UK but why does it have to be so damn hot inside on a summer day??

I always find myself lingering a little longer than expected, drawn in by both familiar favourites and hidden gems. What I also truly appreciate are the occasional exhibitions. They bring a fresh energy to the space and offer new perspectives, often highlighting themes or artists that complement the main collection beautifully. These temporary displays feel thoughtfully curated and make each return visit feel like a new experience. The building itself is just as inspiring as the art it holds—a stunning example of classical architecture that elevates the entire experience. Whether you’re an art lover or simply curious, the Walker Art Gallery is a must-visit. It’s a place where creativity, history, and beauty come together effortlessly.

amazing colllection of arts, sculptures and crafts! absolutely loved the current exhibit they have for contemporary art. the only problem i had during my experience was the labeling of the pieces --- the info about the art was not placed directly in the same section and it was inconvenient to look around for them somewhere else. it disturbed the momentum of going through the rooms that were arranged in chronological order. otherwise, a must visit gallery!

A wonderful gallery, free except for special exhibitions. Some fabulous pieces of art on display and I also visited the Turner special exhibition. That was really well presented and thought provoking. So good that I even indulged in a print on the way out!

Good to visit this important gallery, crammed fl if astounding 19th century art, including the iconic "When Did You Last See Your Father?". I could have taken or left the Biennial however, which was underwhelming. But Liverpool is an amazing and vibrant city, and this gallery is a captivating tribute to its heritage.

Apart from the woke comments on some exhibits, some of which were nonsense. It was an excellent visit. Beautiful pictures, Henry VIII and Elizabeth I were amazing. Pop art exhibition was fun.

John Moores prize on now till 2026. Great selection. Free entry great cafe must see! Lucky to have all of the collections here.

Very easy way to spend a few hours. Managed to attend the Turner exhibition which was excellently curated, but the permanent collection is fantastic.

What an amazing experience. My son had a teacher training day, so we decided to visit Quirky Quarter and it did not disappoint. This place is a must-see attraction for anyone. It’s exactly what the name suggests, very quirky and full of surprises. I won’t give anything away as it would spoil the fun, but if you’re at a loose end for something to do or just want to feel like a kid again and get some brilliant photos, this is the place to be. We had such a great time. The staff were amazing, and we both left with huge smiles on our faces and a great memory to share. I’ll definitely be back with my other son soon. Thanks for such a brilliant experience.

Went here with my husband on a sunday. We had an absolute ball, so many different activities to do, everything is so creative!!! Staff were all wonderful, polite and really helpful to get the best pictures and experience each activity. Plenty of time to go through at your own pace. I have uploaded a few of the pictures, we came out with 42 plus videos there was that much to do🤣 Would definitely return!

Worth the visit lots to look at and do! It’s very interactive for just over the hour. It’s full of illusions and quirky interesting would recommend it! Staff are very approachable and helpful too, It’s great for everyone Families, friends or couples of all ages when we went.

We came to Liverpool to HM passport office. So we had 3 hours free. So my sister booked this event which I had no idea about. We came in here and spent as much time and 2 hours flew inside. The staff was so friendly took our jackets, helped us with puzzles, took our photos of groups. The friendly staff made it more enjoyable. If it wasn't for the staff we would have not have known some of the illusions. A 2 min walk from car park £5 for 2 hours. A big thank you to the Quirky Quarter team Highly Recommended 10/10.

This is a fun and interactive museum. They have lots of interesting exhibits that challenge your mind and help you see things through new perspectives. We would highly recommend it for visitors with curiosity and who enjoy optical illusions.

Visited this place on 4 July and really enjoyed it. There is so much to see and do but to get the most out of it, you really need to engage with each 'stand'. Once you do this, it becomes far more interesting. We spent 90 minutes, laughed a lot and were intrigued by loads of the 'stands'. The staff were on hand to help out and were really enthusiastic, to take advantage of them to get the most out of this place. Don't rush it, take your time and have a blast.

We visited Quirky Quarter on Saturday and had a brilliant time! It was full of fun, laughs, and surprises. The exhibits are super interactive and perfect for getting some quirky photos – it’s definitely not your average day out! The staff were great too – friendly, helpful, and always on hand to offer tips on how to make the most of each illusion or challenge. Highly recommend for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for something different and fun in Liverpool.

Probably the most famous club in the world. Bands doing short sets then change to another band. Plenty of memorabilia to look at around the walls and obviously plenty of Beatles covers by all bands. Decent selection of drinks and plenty of staff serving. But, the bar is CASHLESS. Also, a very varied age range of clientele, ranging from 20 to 70. Nice.

A must go place if you visit Liverpool. Fab experience and superb atmosphere. The pub is small and compact with low ceilings, but that’s exactly what you look. Wide variety of drinks including alcohol free beer. Price is similar to other pubs, surprisingly reasonable. It got a souvenir shop as well selling techies, cups and other Cavern Club accessories. An awesome cultural experience and the best pub we ever visited.

Stopped in at The Cavern Club after our Beatles tour while in Liverpool. The vibe was chill, with a musician performing, and you’re free to wander around at your own pace. Entry was £5, and I was surprised by how big it was underground, with tunnels leading into different rooms and bars. The memorabilia (though I wish there was more) added to the fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Overall, it’s a must for any Beatles fan, and I’m glad to have The Cavern Club under my belt as an important part of Beatles history. Saluti

Where The Beatles started out. We managed to get tickets for Saturday night performance by The Cavern Club Beatles. Support act was a solo keyboard player who was excellent and got the crowd warmed up. Then the band came on at 9.15 and wow, they were amazing, sounded just like the real thing! They did 4 sets with costume changes each time. 'John' was Uncannily like Lennon in looks and mannerisms. Fabulous night. Tip - lf you want a seat in front of stage queue at 7pm at the back entrance!!!!

No trip to Liverpool is complete without a visit to the cavern club. We went in the evening and entry was £5 per person. There are several flights of stairs to get in and the walls are covered in photos of people who have played there. The atmosphere was amazing. There is a lot of memorabilia from guitars, photos, toys etc. There is always live music which was very good and everyone singing along. There are a few tables and chairs but it was standing room only when we visited. A very reasonable entry fee for a fantastic evening.

Tribute nights and peak-hour sessions often sell out—checking the schedule and booking ahead pays off. Bring ID, travel light, and wear comfortable shoes; it gets warm when the room fills. If the queue is long, the Cavern Pub across the street runs live music with easier access, and the merch shop on Mathew Street is worth a quick look. For a music lover, it’s the right mix of heritage and energy: polished enough to run like clockwork, raw enough to feel authentic. A must on any Liverpool itinerary.

I was not really bothered about going to the Cavern Club. But i really enjoyed it .There were a couple of groups playing while we were there an we thoroughly enjoyed them . It was really interesting walking around looking at the memorabilia. The only down side was the cost of the drinks which you can understand, but the £10 entrance fee was a bit steep. I would definitely recommend visiting The Cavern Club. If visiting Liverpool.

The Royal Albert Docks are a great spot to shop and enjoy the delicious foods Liverpool has to offer. No tickets are necessary unless you want to enter the beatles story experience, which is highly recommended. While.we were there there was always plenty of activity including crew teams practicing in the quay.

Historical landmark and one of the highlights of Liverpool. Perfect place for a morning, afternoon or evening stroll, catch up with friends for a cup of coffee or a drink. Albert Dock has some lovely places to eat with outdoor seating for any weather. Must visit when in Liverpool.

Went in October, cold and very windy both sides of the dock . Mostly places to eat and a few souvenir shops pretty over priced . A sweet shop with a great jellybean pic of the Beatles in the window but again very overpriced. We had coffee & cake in the museum, which was free( not the coffee & cake ) which was the best bit for us lots of history … parking in the docks is £3 an hour which is quite steep . Overall worth a visit .

These are the largest, oldest buildings. There is The Beatles museum, Travel lodge, as well as independent shops, and cafes. Very busy place, lovely views over the docks.

Very picturesque and lots of lovely looking restaurants although we didn't sample them. Nice just for a wander round, would love to return and explore further. My first time in Liverpool so it was a must see!

Great area... especially with the Beatles statue. An accoustic musician was performing Beatles tunes next to it, which set the tone. We started there on our Liverpool adventure. It was a relaxed environment, everyone was friendly and we felt safe the entire time. Being right on the water, it was great bird and people watching and we even snagged an ice cream from a street vendor while having a bit of a rest in the sun. Lovely experience and fantastic location!

I absolutely love this museum! If I ever had the chance to work here, I’d take it in a heartbeat. As a huge music enthusiast, I truly enjoyed exploring the history of iconic bands and artists, and seeing their tour outfits displayed in the cabinets. I even had fun trying out the drums and using the vocal booth myself. I’m from Bradford, but honestly, if I lived in Liverpool I’d be here every day! I was born in 1955 and this journey through British pop music starts a little earlier with skiffle and goes all the way through each era to the present day. I found this a fascinating journey bringing back a wealth of memories. I also noticed the interest in our pop history from both younger people as well as foreign visitors. Two hours plus well spent

Highly recommended for every music lover. See, listen to, experience and learn everything about British music starting from Jazz up to today. Lovingly prepared displays and lots of interactive stuff leave nothing wanting. And an absolute plus: really, really nice and helpful staff! Two thumbs up!! Will come back.

There is loads of different exhibits and bits to see ranging from music in 1940 to the modern day. There is also an interactive part where you can play different instruments. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit

Came here on the first day of the Live Aid pop up, and I was delighted to purchase the official calendars and singles of ‘Do they know it’s Christmas’ and ‘Feed the World’ which have been locked away since 1986/7! On top of that, the whole experience was a must see/do. Zooming through the 50s to the 60s right up until present day. Concluding with (my favourite part), the recording studio and drums/bass/guitars mini digital lessons. It was a real treat and a must do when in Liverpool!

Really enjoyed it at the British Music Experience, however I do feel like it's overpriced for what it is. We booked online as this was cheaper than at the venue itself. Interesting insights into British music throughout the decades, very interactive with a chance to play some instruments too.

Fantastic place to visit. Great memories looking at the items on display. There are some great interactive items from a dance stage to the chance to play some classics keyboards and guitars. Spent long there than I expected, so much to see and do. Would highly recommend a visit for all music fans. Shop has a good selection of items. There is also a cafe and even some lockers so you don't have to be carrying too much around. Staff are great, and our tickets allow us to return, which we intend to do later in the year.

a nice area and pretty straight forward to navigate yourself through, luckily we picked out a sunny day but i cannot see this being a great thing if its a cold windy day or raining, the outside decks were kept clean and safe, although does get windy, the tour was nice and pleasant but when the woman over the microphone was explaining the story behind all the monuments, it was difficult to understand what she was referring to. Overall a nice experience and would recommend. Lasts about 45 minutes.

I’ve lived in Liverpool for quite a few years but had never actually taken the Mersey Ferry until recently – and I’m so glad I finally did! The 50-minute trip was absolutely worth it. The views of the city are fantastic, and I even learned things about Liverpool’s history that I didn’t know before, thanks to the commentary on board. It’s such a relaxing way to see the city from a different perspective. I really loved the experience and would definitely do it again. Whether you’re visiting Liverpool or have lived here for years, this is a must-do!

Unfortunately we don’t have good experience as it’s over sold and we could not find a seat. It’s probably due to the rain thus most people tend to stay inside the deck. Even without the seating problem, the scene is disappointing, the best view is around the departure dock and the view during most of the 50 minutes are not exciting. Think 50 min is too long, 30 min is good enough. We found the audio interesting but it’s not loud enough cannot hear clearly. Don’t think I will join the cruise knowing this, taking a ferry across the river which is about 20 min round trip at £4 total seems a better option.

Ferry across the Mersey.... was an iconic informative trip.....obviously the ferry and trip is brilliant and emotional 😢 and we learnt more about the places we had already been. It was a little choppy and windy but it was great none the less. Its a must do if you go to Liverpool. Its a great City ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Highly recommend The Mersey Ferry . We enjoyed our time on the ferry taking in the views and listening to the commentary of the history of the river and building and ship making on the banks of the Mersey. The gents and ladies toilets were very clean which shows how well run the ferry is. The only down side was we sat on the side of the ferry that was next to the embankment and the commentary was describing the view from the other side of the ferry. There is small shop on board were you can food and drinks including alcoholic drinks.

Nice experience the ferry was great and showing the nice city views with radio broadcasting introducing the history. Comfort seats or you can standing as you like. Many stops you can drop off any stop. Convenience and pleasant especially in such nice weather.

We just had to take the Ferry Across The Mersey on our Liverpool trip. Easy access. Lots of guidance. Plenty of places to sit if that's your choice. Great commentary explaining places buildings etc in great detail throughout whole trip. Fascinating. Peppered with a couple of lines of Gerry and The Pacemakers iconic song. We thoroughly enjoyed it - our first activity of our trip. Enjoy yours.

Staff were excellent and the experience was a lot of fun. My nephew wanted to do another room immediately afterwards, but time (and budget!) didn't allow, but we'll definitely go back.

We visited today and played the cursed carnival! Alex our game master was super friendly and made the experience so great!!! Alex was fantastic! We will definitely be back to play different rooms! Thank you again alex you were fab!

Such a fantastic night — We did this as a double date, went into it thinking we would be absolutely hopeless but we did alright. The staff were lovely, our game master was fantastic and gave us some clues as and when needed (we did need a few…) The room we did was The Facility and it was brilliant. We didn’t break out but we were SO close! One of the most fun filled things I’ve done in the city so far! Will absolutely come back to try some more.

Just finished and escaped the room, we went with 3 adults n 2 kids.. this was an amazing experience, as thick as I am I managed to add a little help and crack the final code.. we used the outbreak room. The hostess was amazing. Deffo got to try the other rooms in the future ✌️😁👍👍👍

Nice staff and well themed rooms but having done quite a few escape rooms this one was quite unimaginative in terms of clues/reveals and puzzles. Nearly every clue seemed to involve having to find a code for a padlock which became very repetitive and just a lot of guess work as opposed to using any logic. having done another escape room that was very varied and had nearly no locks this just felt quite underwhelming.

Served by Luci was absolutely amazing and great fun, we loved haunted it was so fun and unique I liked this one much more than spell bound (that was really good too so don’t worry) and we really enjoyed it thank you so much we will be coming again !!!

Plentiful parking right outside, easy accessibility for all and help on hand if needed. Clean toilets and lovely environment throughout. The staff and volunteers are so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely morning, lunch and a couple of drinks too in the lovely cafe. So many beautiful areas to explore and lots of information on hand. Cannot recommend this place enough for a bit of culture in your life. We will defo be back.

Absolutely stunning! Liverpool Cathedral may not be ancient, but it’s one of the largest in the UK and completely free to visit. It is an unmissable and truly iconic landmark when visiting Liverpool. The towering exterior is breathtaking, and once you step inside, the soaring ceilings and long central nave create an incredible sense of space and grandeur. When sunlight shines through the beautiful stained glass windows, the whole place feels sacred and peaceful. A perfect spot to pause, reflect, and admire truly magnificent architecture, well worth spending some time to explore.

Free to enter, online guides available Either use their app, or Bloomberg Connects, or a family tour. But there are useful signs dotted around. Or book a guided walking tour. £8 gets you up to the top of the tower. Two lifts and 108 steps. All very safe, bit not for wheelchairs. This is an enormous building made of brick, stone, steel and concrete. Unadorned in it's beautiful state. It can make you feel humble or elated, but it is awe inspiring. Pleasant staff, and working ministers. Nice cafe, several toilets. Don't forget the necropolis outside, which is housed in the old quarry. Over 60,000 people buried there after the stone was excavated to build the city. There is parking onsite or cheaper nearby.

I recently visited Liverpool Cathedral, and it was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The architecture is truly magnificent — a masterpiece that beautifully blends history, craftsmanship, and spiritual atmosphere. The vast interior, detailed stonework, and stunning stained-glass windows create an awe-inspiring sense of peace and grandeur. If you’re in Liverpool, I highly recommend visiting this iconic landmark — it’s not just a place of worship, but a symbol of art, history, and culture.

Huge space with many details to spot. Provision of parking and lifts made the cathedral very accessible. Quite a few visitors in the building. Excellent and reasonable cafe plus well stocked gift shop. Unfortunately a band setting up for an evening concert took away any sense of prayerfulness and rather assaulted the eardrums as the noise reached every corner of the building!

One of the highlights of our trip! Liverpool Cathedral is awe inspiring - the scale of it and the beauty of the interiors just breathtaking. I would highly recommend paying to go up the tower - the steps are not narrow at all and seeing the inner structure was incredible - then you are rewarded with the views at the top. I managed the climb with a crutch, so manageable with care and rest stops.

Beautiful Cathedral with wonderfull staff and a fabulous cafe too. Easy walk from the station and breathtaking when it comes into view. Worth paying the small fee to go up the tower, if the weather is clear, as the views are incredible. Had a grand chat with Mike, who was helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Easy 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Priced at 40 £ for family and around 12 £ for single adult. It went on for around 4-5 rotations. It’s slow and doesn’t make you dizzy. You get a nice view when they stop you on top for a minute or so. It was a fun experience. There is ongoing voice commentary inside.

We visited on Saturday 4th October during Storm Amy. There was no queue and straight onto the ride. It was great view when at top, it rotated 3 times and took around 10 minutes. The only recommendation is not to go on this ride during a storm with 50mph winds, it was a little nerve racking when at the highest point, especially when the ride stopped for a around 2 mins. Our fault for going on in the storm haha, but we'll definitely visited again, but only when the wind speed is lower lol.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Wheel of Liverpool on the 11th of September 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience. The wheel itself is stunning, beautifully lit against the night sky, and creates such a striking landmark on the waterfront. The staff were friendly and professional, making the boarding process smooth and welcoming. Once inside the gondola, I was impressed with how spacious and comfortable it was — climate-controlled, with a great sense of safety and calm. As the wheel slowly rose, the views opened up beautifully. Seeing Liverpool at night from above was simply magical. The city lights reflected over the water, the historic Albert Dock, and the skyline created a breathtaking scene that I’ll always remember. The ride was long enough to really take in the views without feeling rushed. It’s such a peaceful yet exciting way to experience the city from a new perspective. Overall, The Wheel of Liverpool is a must-do attraction for both visitors and locals. Whether you’re after a romantic evening, a family outing, or just a moment to take in the beauty of the city, this experience delivers it all. I’ll definitely be back again — next time during the day for a different perspective. Highly recommended!

First time in Liverpool and was down by the water front and came upon ‘The Wheel’. Similar to the one in London just not as big or cost too much. Being seniors, our cost was £22.00 for both of us. It was worth it but I suggest to go early and on a Sunday. We went around 4 times and took lots of pictures. I’m sure, if you don’t mind waiting, sunset would probably be the most beautiful time of day! Enjoy some of our photos.

The Wheel of Liverpool is a big Ferris wheel located by Liverpool’s waterfront. It offers great views of the city and the harbor, especially beautiful at night with lights. 🎡

Popped in to use the public toilet. I noticed how well maintained and how clean the place was. The cakes looked amazing and the display of ice cream. The adventure playground looks fun. Great place to entertain the children. It gets very busy in the Spring / Summer months.

We visited Otterspool today and had an absolutely brilliant time. There was so much for the kids to do, they especially loved the giant pillows and had loads of fun on the mini golf course. Even though it was busy, the park was big enough that it never felt crowded and we didn’t have to wait for anything. The slides, swings and other activities were all a big hit, and when it got a bit windy, the soft play was perfect. Every ride was manned and the staff were great really helpful and friendly. We stopped for ice cream and the gentleman serving us was lovely. We also ate at the café, and with a group of 13, every single meal was polished off. The food was delicious a real surprise considering it’s labelled a café. It honestly felt like restaurant-quality food. A massive shoutout to our waitress, Shannon. She was an absolute star! so friendly, bubbly, and clearly happy to be at work. Her energy and customer service really stood out and made our day extra special. I really hope she gets recognised because she absolutely deserves it. The whole park was spotlessly clean, clearly well looked after, and excellent value for money. You can see the investment that’s gone into it, and it’s a fantastic addition to Liverpool. We’ll definitely be back.

We have been today with 2 kids We have ticket .But big splash girl said to us it is closed . But there was 15 min for closing time. My kids really get made sad by her 😔 Our tickets gone waste and kids been sad

Great little place for a day out. Food was nice in the cafe but it's a put together small cramped space and when your paying a lot for your food you want a faster service and to be able to eat with a proper knife and fork not a wooden one. They now do play passes instead of one entry fee on arrival. The area is clean and well kept. The farm is tiny.

Was expecting an interactive animal experience, especially based on the photos showing people holding animals on the site. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case—there was no animal handling allowed, and we felt the overall experience didn't match what was advertised. For the price, it felt underwhelming. Clearer expectations would go a long way. For the distance we travelled for my sons birthday this didn’t meet expectation at all

So haven't been for a good few months, maybe not even this calendar year so was pretty shocked when I discovered the new way they charge for the kids going onto the different activities. One of the best things about this place was there was 1 fee and the kids could go where the want, now you could spend over £70 for a day out for 1 kid. It is disgusting what they've done, maybe they need to increase their income a little I genuinely hope this costs them money, people boycott it and they have to review what they've done. I for one will never return.

Excellent birthday party for my daughter. Staff members, Kieran and Reece were very professional throughout and ensured everything ran smoothly. They checked for allergies and explained the children get 2 hours of play then food in the party room. They were very friendly. It was an amazing party and my daughter and her friends had a ball. It was such a memorable experience and would recommend.

We had an excellent time, my grandchildren were so excited and the youngest one even said it was the best hour of his life. Well worth the money and we will definitely will book again.

Great event! We had a session with 14 adults for our gym night out, everyone absolutely loved it and had so much fun! Staff were great and booking was easy. I highly recommend!

Had my sons 8th birthday party here tonight. Absolutely fantastic event and can't recommend highly enough. 25 kids, endless amounts of Pizza and Drinks. This was a really fun party for the kids (and adults 🙃). Everything ran smoothly there was not one single issue. The boys were very friendly and helpful and kept the kids safe and happy. Would definitely come back!!

8th birthday party. Superb venue. Kids had a ball. I initially didn't think the time slot was enough, but it was perfect. 1 hour of straight Nerf attack certainly tired them out, and the 45 minutes in the Dominoes room for the after part was brilliant! More than enough pizza to go round. (Including the adults). Can't recommend this venue enough. Staff were so helpful and on the ball. Well organised and exceptional value for money given you have the place to yourself whilst your event is on.

Fantastic to see this lovely historical old palm house restored and alive again. Compact in size, but amazing it's still here after it nearly was demolished because of years of neglect. Tea room and ice-creams. Go visit, sit a while, and just enjoy!

Sefton Park Palm House is one of Liverpool’s true gems.The light, the greenery, and the glass dome create such a timeless, romantic atmosphere, a dream setting for a wedding photographer. The team were so lovely and attentive, making the whole day feel effortless and full of joy. A truly special venue.

I recently visited Liverpool for a nostalgic trip on my bike to see the places I would go with my mother so many years ago, and this included the Palm House in Sefton Park. The first plus was I could safely lock my bike to the bars provided for cycling visitors like me. The Palm House itself seemed even better than it was in the 1960's, with exotic plants, various statues outside (I remembered the Peter Pan statue) and toilets downstairs that were spotlessly clean. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, and even better, its absolutely free, although a donation is welcome and I felt compelled to leave one just because the place is wonderful. I cycled on to the area where the aviary was (at the back of the café) so many years ago. The outline of where it was is still visible, but nothing more.. Well worth a visit!

A beautiful preserved structure, the palm house in sefton park is well worth a visit ( free admission but donations welcome) inside there is an abundance of tropical plants & trees & a great coffee shop and of course the rest of the park to explore 😀

Absolutely stunning building well worth the visit so much history and beauty in one place a definite hidden gem in Liverpool, would 100% recommend visiting.

If you're looking for more of a rave or a gig with tonnes of colour and proper event lighting rather than a traditional wedding, then you need the Invisible Wind Factory. The fact there is also a beer garden for summer weddings to enjoy the outdoors is such a plus for this venue, as not many city centre industrial venues have this. If you want to design your day your own way, this venue is the place to do that - one of my fave ceremonies held at IWF had David Bowie songs as their "hymns" and another wedding had a whole wall of crisps as their cocktail hour nibbles. And the cherry on the cake is the amazing portrait locations just round the corner, streets that are urban and cool, giving you a quirky non-traditional photos that will definitely turn heads. The staff are fun and helpful and the caterers make some absolutely incredible food. Cannot wait to shoot here again.

I visited for a book festival. There was a good variety of new authors. A stage with performers , a bar and a selection of food available. The washroom facilities were clean. The best part was the busy, friendly atmosphere. I was surprised at what a great venue it is for this type of event.

Brilliant light show & music sound system - good venue. Toddlers rave for 2 hours it is expensive then cost £8 for face painting and? £6.50 a pint.

A very large warehouse venue near Liverpool city centre. Our visit was a country music festival, there was lots of different bars and a food stall, the stage was big and the artists were amazing. Everyone had a great time and danced and sang along. There is an upper viewing level too so you can watch the artists from there. It's a really great place to visit.

It's a great venue as long as it's not a hot day. There is no air con and it gets super hot inside. Also there is hardly no where to sit if you need a break. The food is good just a bit pricey

Booked a 3 activity pass online the night before we arrived this was simple enough to do. Slots for activities are allocated when you arrive so I suggest getting there early to avoid any disappointment as it does get busy. You will also need to fill in a waiver before hand so also allow time for this. We took part in batting cages, this activity was ok but needed some maintenance, was also hard to find someone to come and help us set up on this. It was simple to check in but no staff around to point you in the right direction can be confusing if you have never been before. Overall I would give this activity a 7 out of 10 we still had a laugh. Next we took part in crazy golf and absolutely loved it, we had never seen a crazy golf like this before it was well maintained all lit up and was so much fun. There were tables all around to put drinks and small bags down and plenty of space around. The crazy golf is located upstairs the atmosphere was great 10 out of 10 for this one. Finally we headed down stairs for go carting after a short safety briefing we were all good to go a young woman fitted us with helmets and we were put in our carts once we were let out the race began, it was a lot of fun but we did seem to spend a lot of time slowed down by the staff controls. Still had a great time and would give this activity 8 out of 10. The overall place was lots of fun so would recommend.

I booked a Gravity Max 3 pass for my birthday and went to visit the venue on a Sunday with 4 other friends. We booked for the 13:00 slot, and arrived about 12:45. As we wanted to go e-karting, we had to go complete some forms at the venue. I’d advise to not search by booking number and just click the last option so you can add your details and sign. Once completed, we checked-in at the desk and I explained which 3 activities we wanted to complete. We decided on the batting cages, the hologate VR and the e-karting. We were provided with slots back-to-back and the process was very efficient (as you can see in my image). We also received balaclavas for e-karting which were inclusive. Starting off with the batting cages, we were advised to go to the bar to get ourselves sorted. They entered our names and we had the opportunity to choose between 3 types of games: baseball, cricket or tennis. With levels ranging from 1-4 with 1 being beginning and 4 being professional. The staff had stated we could play about 2 rounds so we changed games between each round but managed to play about 2.5 rounds within the allocated 15 mins. We found sometimes the scores weren’t registered properly but you were able to edit the scores if this happened. Next, we completed the VR activity. We were told to return to the check-in area to get ourselves sorted. They told us to select a game to play. Since we had 5 of us, they said we could switch out between the 4 of us to play two different games; but one of our friends chose to sit out so we managed to play the Zombyte Power Plant game, followed by Cold Clash. My controller ended up slipping out of my gun so I struggled a bit in the first game but the second game was a lot easier when I removed the gun attachment. Lastly, we went to do e-karting. We had to go wait by the lockers to get ourselves checked in. Locking away our personal belongings and putting on our balaclavas before they showed a safety video. The staff explained thoroughly on how the circuit would run, and whilst I found it difficult personally the experience was fun! The staff were very helpful in getting us set up and also helping me return the car by adjusting my position as we drove back into the lanes. I felt the experience was worth it which we paid about £27.95 each. With no issues with waiting times between activities. We also enjoyed some arcade games from basketball to dance machines to axe throwing and more. My friend paid approx. £10 for 100 credits with different machines varying in costs. We also played some pool which costed about £2 per game. Overall, the experience at Gravity Max was great. I’d visited a different location back in London (Wandsworth) but was pleasantly surprised by how much diversity there was with games across the board. Staff were very helpful throughout the experience and have only really marked down a staff for a few minor issues.

A fantastic day out for the kids. We did mini golf and the immersive game box room playing the Floor is Lava. The staff were friendly and explained everything carefully and the boys had an absolute blast. We will definitely be back

My son and I where having a lovely day 11/10/2025. My son is 12 and had a bit of an accident on the go-karts. The team called for management straight away. My son was checked over and given lots of support and kindness. . The seatbelt cut his neck when he crashed into the barrier. The manager on duty (male) was fabulous. Gave my son a slush to calm him down. We then missed our slot on the VR but your staff on reception and the VR itself were amazing and managed to get us back in. Fabulous customer service. Every staff member was lovely. Over all we had a great mum/son day.

The karts are fast enough to give you a real sense of speed, and the track is fun to drive, with a mix of straights, curves, and elevation changes. Even better, the manager on the day we went was brilliant. Due to a misunderstanding in the instructions on the website and a particularly busy day, we missed our booked race, and the only option available was to wait for an hour. When we discussed the situation with her, she voluntarily issued refund and included a helmet camera as courtesy gift. Thank you!

Impressed over all. There are plenty of activities for everyone. Crazy golf, VR, bowling, darts, arcades, e carting, drinking, and many more. Prices are pretty fair, depending on activities. See pictures for more info on prices of drinks etc. Staff is super friendly. Had my 30th birthday day out with my partner here and had fun. The bar upstairs is like a greenhouse on a very cold winter day. Never tried the food, but it looks incredible. Wait times at the checkin desk are rather long and time-consuming. Marked as a 4 as I never tried everything. Will try more soon and update. Think kids' birthday parties would be rather expensive, but I don't have a kid, so I wouldn't know.

Visited here and all I can say is unorganised chaos. I understand I went in school holidays, so expect it to be busier. But to start with we lined up to check in for our activities. After waiting 15 minutes we get to the desk to be told go and fill in the forms for the activities and come back. We then had to line back up in the queue which was even longer, so off to a great start. We started with bowling which started well but halfway in the balls stopped getting returned so we had to cut this short as it was time to go for the next activity. The karting was really good which did allow a bit of a recovery for this place. We then went to mini golf which was a good lay out, but due to the 2 different courses which are next to each other. It was hard to navigate at times. We then went back to do reorganise our bowling, we did manage to get bowing in at the end of the day.

What a great time we had on the Shiverpool walking tour! Honestly I didn't know what to expect but from the moment we arrived and met Chiller Black and Indiana Bones I knew we had made a great decision. We laughed a bunch and the three of us were so impressed with the dramatic story telling and entertainment all the while keeping us safe while walking the streets of Liverpool. If you've got kids I would say take them if they can handle the Dementors in Harry Potter...otherwise best to leave the younger ones with big imaginations at home. We had a school age child on our tour and he loved it so all depends on the kid. Thank you for the memory!

I knew we were going to have a wonderful evening when chilla black handed my partner her bucket and he didn't even question it!! The evening was full of entertainment and facts about the area. We now will only cross the road after singing the green goblin chant while waving our hands in a "jaz" way! The tour guides were full of knowledge and quips, while walking though the streets entertaining us and people who walked passed! It really was a wonderful evening, you really made my partner birthday treat, with out even knowing it was birthday We went away from the evening feeling totally entertained and happy Thank you

What can I say? Wow! Such talented guides who really brought to life the history of the area. Welcoming, humourous and highly entertaining whilst also imparting historical stories that will stay with you after the experience. We also purchased some of the additional merchandise which is of such high quality. Highly recommended! We're looking forward to booking our next tours!!

This was a birthday present and really made the day. Right from the start the evening was entertaining and deliciously wicked. The hosts were brilliant and very knowledge about the city, its history and its ghostly residents. We did the auld city tour but now itching to do the other's. We'll worth a try when you are in the city. Thank you guys for a wonderful evening of spookiness

From the beginning to the grisly end, this was a spine-chilling undertaking of Liverpool!! Our hosts chronicling the blood curdling tales of the past were horrifyingly good at executing their souls.... I mean roles!! My 10 year old goblin and I have been left permanently traumatised and will likely never recover from the grand finale down in the depths of the morgue! This was an excellent experience that I would totally recommend...... if you dare x

The best place in Liverpool to have a great time in or on the water. A brilliant facility staffed by an amazing team highly skilled in kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding, open water swimming, water safety etc. Thank you for all you do in making the watersports centre as accessible and enjoyable as it is.

After wanting to have a go at wild swimming for ages, and getting increasingly frustrated by lane swims in the pool, my sister introduced me to the Liverpool Water-sports Centre a little over a year ago - now I rarely go a week without coming for at least one swim. I love the ever-friendly welcome, how it changes with the weather, and even the ghostly little moon jellies! The staff are fab - helpful, knowledgeable and vigilant. I’ve always felt very safe swimming here, with supervised swims and the brilliant swimming community. While the rest of the world seems at odds with each other, it’s been a little oasis - a melting pot of all different ages, walks of life and passions. If you’ve ever considered dipping your toe into wild swimming this is the place to start ❤️

We had the most fantastic time today getting out on the paddle boards. Liverpool Watersports Centre couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly which made the day so incredibly special! Bren, Chris and Mark were absolutely fantastic. As we had booked on a quieter day there was no rush to get back and we were able to thoroughly relax and enjoy being on the water. I could not recommend this place more- thanks guys we will be seeing you very soon!!

Ive been swimming here for over 15 years and love the place….. so much so I call it my ‘happy place’ This is where I’ve done all my training for my open water long distance swimming inc The English Channel and round Jersey twice…. I’d be lost without this place ….an amazing venue in the middle of our city 💗 The staff are always friendly , helpful , knowledgeable and very safety conscious looking out for us all of the time we’re in the water and when we are out especially in the winter ensuring we get dressed and warm quickly! The whole centre has a great vibe and is a great community where I’ve met lots of like minded people who have become good friends , staff included💗 100% recommend this fab place whether it’s swimming , kayaking, paddle boarding, using the Aquapark or the swans ….. xxxxx

Great facilities and professionally run. Everyone maintained social distancing and had a good time 👌 #update# Haven't been for a while and decided to go this morning with our own paddleboards. I made a quick call to confirm availability, kit hire (we needed 1 x wetsuit for our son as he has grown since last season) and we were good to go. The staff are very helpful and eveything is reasonably priced. The cafe afterwards is a sun trap and we enjoyed some cold drinks and delicious cakes after 3 hours on the water 👌

This center offers all types of watersports including open water swimming, which I mainly attend for. I find both the staff and facilities very good. Any problems they are more than happy to help and go above and beyond. The people who attend are very positive and friendly, which make it a lovely community. Highly recommend 👌

I’ve been swimming here for 4 years. It’s a wonderful place to swim but there is also a wonderful community of like minded people also taking part in swimming. The staff there are extremely helpful and accommodating and are very safety conscious especially with new swimmers. I always recommend this centre to people interested in starting open water swimming.

This stadium is an iconic football ground that has so much tied to it that anyone visiting will be swept off his feet, even someone who does not support Liverpool, like myself. I was swept up with the singing, the camaraderie, the enthusiasm and the general atmosphere- I thoroughly enjoyed the experience (Liverpool lost to Man Utd on the day)

We were in London on 19 October 2025, and Liverpool was playing Manchester United at Anfield. We were lucky enough to get two tickets for the match. We joined the queue to enter the stadium at around 4.15 p.m. and got to our seats within 10 minutes—just in time for the players’ walkout. When You’ll Never Walk Alone played, the atmosphere was truly electric—something I will never forget. The passion, the unity, and the roar of the crowd were simply spine-tingling. When the match kicked off, Manchester United scored within two minutes, and the home crowd fell silent. Still, we never stopped cheering for the team, and by the 78th minute, when Cody Gakpo found the net, the entire stadium erupted in joy. What happened after that… I will leave unsaid, as my memory happily ends there. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one to tick off my bucket list. I urge every football fan to watch a match at Anfield at least once. Win or lose, you will never regret it.

Beautiful building. Best stadium in UK regularly wins awards. Great toilets and concourse facilities. Premium customer service with scouse ethos. Large selection of food. Lots of bars and restaurants. Tours..shop. events. Surrounded by beautiful park land. A number of murials surround. Disability friendly and accessible. Parking in streets couple mins walk. Worst a visit. Recommended.

The atmosphere in the stadium was absolutely electric! The fans were so passionate, and hearing You’ll Never Walk Alone gave me chills. Liverpool beat Real Madrid 1–0, and Thibaut Courtois was definitely the standout player for Madrid. Best crowd I’ve ever seen!

Visiting Anfield was an unforgettable experience! It was a surprise gift from my loved ones — a tour of the legendary Liverpool stadium, which I’ve supported for years. I was lucky to have a sunny day, and walking through the stands and seeing the pitch felt like a dream come true. The atmosphere, the history, and the emotion of the place are truly special. A must-visit for every Liverpool fan or no fan!

Had a lovely experience visiting Anfield Stadium. Although I’m not a Liverpool fan, the club and its players are truly deserving of their status and rich history. I explored the Liverpool FC shop and museum — such an impressive collection of trophies and memorabilia on display. It’s amazing to see that Liverpool have at least one of every major cup, even if some are replicas, they still capture the club’s incredible legacy. I couldn’t resist picking up a customised Liverpool mug with my name on it for £12.50 at the gift shop — an absolute bargain and a great souvenir from a memorable visit.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere. Even when we were posing 3-0 we still belted out you'll never walk alone to cheer the boys on. Beautiful stadium.

Very Enjoyable day out with the family. Drive through the safari takes about an hour although you can stop if you wish, you can also go round multiple times. There's a nice nature trail to do on foot. The falcon show and sea lion show are both really enjoyable. There are also a number of rides available aimed at smaller children.

Fantastic day. The place is full of majestic live stock. Elegantly going about their safe life's. If only humanity could take a leaf out of their own lives. Being around animals for a day, the park was great. Worth every penny spent.

Great afternoon out at the safari park. We braved to baboons (our car got off lightly but we did see quite a bit of damage to other cars so beware). The sea lion show is well worth a watch. If you get chance go through the drive through safari at different times as we did see some animals we didn't see the first time round.

I was a little hesitant at first after reading a few reviews from people disappointed with the amount of animals they saw and after a depressing visit to Chester Zoo, but I took the risk.. Wow, it was fabulous! Visiting mid-week the park was quiet an we saw very few cars on the safari drive, which was perfect. Just us and miles of empty road and we were able to pull over and just watch and wait allowing many of the animals to come closer. The far reaching vistas and sunny weather made it almost feel like we were in the savanna! Of course the baboons were the highlight and it was mostly the youngsters swamping the car, probably about a dozen on or having off it at one point, but we didnt expect to see hundreds of them along the road. Mention must go to the ostriches who attempted to break into the car, the pride of lions and the huge number of magnificent Rhino. A joy after seeing the 2 very forlorn looking ones in Chester. So much nicer to see the animals with large areas to roam than the enclosures, cages and tanks in a zoo! We saw a bit of the foot trail but didnt allow enough time. We did get to see the sea lions, giraffes, meekats and a glimpse of the tigers. So want to return soon to see the tiger cubs and take the long nature trail. A quick look in the shop and it was reasonably priced with plenty of fluffy takeaways for the kids. Left feeling very satisfied and that it was very good value at around £18 per person. Allow at least 5 hours to see most of what's on offer.

Overall we had a good time. Kids had fun when baboon ripped a piece of rubber from my front windscreen. Had to wash my car on the drive home from all the monkey prints all over it 🤣 Park needs some TLC, looks tired. Food at the Oasis was not great. Packed lunch next time. I felt sorry for the “birds of pray” like eagles as they had very little space in their cages to fly, they seemed quite restless.

A great day out. We chose to go on the baboon bus, so we could experience the animals together & still go through the monkeys & lions. It was very good & the driver gave us lots of information about the animals. You can still drive round yourself after using the bus. The sea lion show was excellent & very entertaining, the sea lions have great characters. The birds of prey show was fantastic too, loved seeing how the birds interacted with their trainers and us the viewers, a great experience, especially the friendly vulture. The funeral fair rides were great & for £12 for a wristband for one child to go on everything with the adult free, was a good bargain. The walking safari was good, seeing the meerkats, giraffes & tigers. We stayed from 10am to 5.30pm & the day was very enjoyable. Would recommend to everyone & a good price for everyone.

Knowsley Safari is an absolutely brilliant day out for the whole family! The experience is excellent-it's amazing to drive through and see plenty of animals right up close in their open, natural habitats. Getting to see the rhinos, lions, and deer from just a short distance away is truly unforgettable. Our children loved it a lot; it was the highlight of their trip! Between the drive-through and the walking safari attractions (like the sea lion show), there's more than enough to fill a whole day. Highly recommend for a thrilling and memorable animal experience

This is an absolute must-visit in Liverpool, especially if you're a fan of breathtaking views! From the top, you get a stunning panorama of the entire city, including the bustling port and all the major landmarks. It's truly the best way to appreciate Liverpool's unique landscape. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, though I did have a slightly odd encounter with the entrance attendant who wasn't exactly welcoming. However, that small hiccup didn't detract from the overall amazing experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Liverpool. It's definitely worth checking out!

Great, if you've a good head for heights! I thought I had but have to own up to one or two wobbles while up there. Panoramic views of the city and way way beyond, even as far as the Welsh mountains. The lift whooshes you up in seconds and once there you can stay as long as you like.

Not bad to finally see it after living in Liverpool for ten years 🤦🏻‍♂️. Well worth the visit though (as long as you’re good with heights). Myself and a friend decided on this tour because the weather was so good. On a really clear day seeing over to Wales and Blackpool. All the viewing windows gave a fantastic view of the city. There were several plaques placed around the tower to highlight the well known places in Liverpool, plus there were members of staff on hand if you needed more help. I felt it was easy to walk around the tower, for anyone who may be less able-bodied I would suggest checking their website for wheelchair access etc. I enjoyed the self-exploratory tour.

Strange experience, the exhibition was pretty good, however having ving visited other ww2 secret bunkers and Bletchley Park, I felt this site was overly pretentious about its role in turning the tide of war to the extent of diminishing other efforts. We were upsold tickets for a ferry tour. Which we could use as the last ferry sailing was 4 pm, after we had viewed the exhibition. We were also overcharged and the gentleman lounging behind the desk was quite abrasive which immediately soured the experience. If you are going in the afternoon abd want to do the ferry do that first, get the ferry tour out the way as its last sailing is 4 and the exhibition is open until 6.

I happened to be visiting friends in Liverpool and had a bit of time to kill while they were at work and popped in here, as a former history major. I was unaware of this spot before a random search, but was well worth the visit. Lots of good historical bits to take in, interesting info about Russian/British cooperation in the northern seas, plus the planning and execution of Normandy.

An awesome little experience! If you are interested in the history of Liverpool, and the role the city played in the war, visit here. Extremely informational, preserved in an incredibly authentic way and filled with atmosphere. An awesome time if you are interested in this kind of thing.

The Western Approaches and WREN museum was great. It contains tons of great exhibits and information in the exact bunker used during WWII. It was very intersting to understand the vital role this command played in ensuring the safe delivery of supplies to allied posts including traversing the Artic Sea to deliver planes and supplies to Russia. The addition of the WREN museum was a nice bonus and provided insight to the key roles women played in keeping the war effort going.

Fantastic little gem, I lived in the local area my whole life never knew this was here. Fascinating bit of history so much I didn't know! We will definitely be going back!!

Really immersive and well presented narrative of the city during WW2, and what life would have been like In this setting, also very informative of the women's roles in different services from WW1 up to the present day. What's great is that very few items are kept behind glass, you are encouraged to pick up documents and items, to understand the vital work this incredible place undertook.

Outstanding experience. So many fascinating exhibits and recreations telling the story of the war in the Atlantic during WWll. Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff available in period dress all adds to the atmosphere in this hidden gem of a museum.

Hostory of slavery is painful but its essential to reflect upon it. This place brings in the history on how transatlantic slavery took shape over time. However, I think there are more scopes to improve the place. For instance, how the slavery and modern capitalism linked, or who were the most notable slave owners in history, how the slaves were treated, - i couldn’t see them here. Maybe that part of the portrayal is essential for a Museum like this.

Good that this city acknowledges its part in this awful trade. Up to 1.5 million slaves came through Liverpool alone. A ridged timeline approach would be the way to go here as the approach seems to be a little scattergun. Not sure of the need for the modern art interpretations of slavery either, they take up valuable space when the museum is only given one floor but all in all I cannot knock this place, it offers too much important information & therefore is of course very educational. Visited this floor as part of the larger Merseyside Maritime Museum, you’ll need at least a half day if not a full day to get round them, as the museum is large.

A painful chapter in human history that continues to plague society. Slavery is appropriately presented by this museum for its visitors. I like the exhibits in form of multimedias, interactive dioramas, images, stories, replicas, among others. School children were quite noisy and running around but kids will be kids. 😅😆🫠

Went with a group of African and Caribbean ladies and men, very interested in the conditions their ancestors endured and wealth it brought to the slave trade. Everyone should visit this exhibition to see why it was banned, but be aware that it still exists today. FREE ENTRANCE, donations accepted.

Small but loaded with information and artefacts. Every Brit should visit as the enslaved, while not in Britain, were the backbone of the industrial revolution. I was astonished that cloth and glass beads from Italy were traded to the African slave traders (not just guns n’ ammo). Enlightening.

Very informative! For anyone interested in history or Black History specifically this a brilliant place to visit for some background knowledge. Some fantastic educational books in the gift shop as well, which I am certain that my children will benefit from.

A peaceful beach with a great and unique sculpture. Be cautious of the soft mud—it feels like quicksand. It wasn’t very clean when we visited; it only looks clean from a distance. Marian Lake nearby was also fine…

Crosby Beach is quiet and peaceful, not a busy tourist spot. I went on a weekday morning during low tide, and the beach seemed endless, perfect for a walk, collecting shells, or just enjoying the open space. After the tide went out, I saw lots of jellyfish, razor clam shells, and seashells scattered across the sand. The highlight is definitely the art installation: 100 life size cast iron figures standing across the beach, all facing the sea. At first, I thought they were people walking far out, but they turned out to be statues. Up close, with moss covering their faces and bodies, they look striking and a little eerie. There aren’t many facilities around (just the occasional ice cream van), so if you plan to stay longer, bring your own water and snacks.

My dog's name of Crosby beach we have a lovely loads of memories there. But scary beach to be honest we can't go to the top, very strong current. Beware

A very long and sandy beach with Gormley’s Statues everywhere. Great for a stroll. Wind turbines in the distance. Found quite a few jellyfish washed ashore.

Great beach, not too overcrowded but there is plenty of space for everyone Sea is always quite far out but the sand is fab, not rocky and has great amenities around We had a great BBQ on the beach and got to see a fab sunset

Beautiful beach to spend your day. Anyone irrespective of age can visit the place. Water is not suitable to take bath as it's muddy. But beach is clean and you can take food (as there is no other option inside or near the beach). Only one ice-cream bus is available near beach but it's very expensive. But if you walk 0.3miles from beach, you can find restaurants and shops

Found here by googling what's nearby (weekend in bootle)looked closed but so happy to see it was open -bookable tours but they had space yeah!! Good value for a fiver, cuppa a quid in their little cafe. Billy gave an interesting tour commentary through the scaffolded tunnel, occasionally a joke and answered question.Really great, thank you!

Really interesting bit of local history run by volunteers. Recommended you wear sensible shoes as surfaces are slippy and can be uneven, you do walk along a high scaffolding platform. Tall people beware of lower ceilings just an occasional bumped head hazard . Free parking available. Booking a tour recommended. £6-7 per tour £5 for concessions.

I went to visit Williamson tunnels with my son while over in Liverpool for the weekend for a football match. I can’t recommend it enough it was amazing and the guide was so passionate and stories were so interesting and enjoyable to listen to. It’s a must when in Liverpool for a visit

Great place to visit in Liverpool. Place of historical significance to the area. Tour guide was very informative and passionate about sharing the history of the place. Volunteers continue to dig with new discoveries. When we went, there was a group of people who had worked in the area but were only visiting the tunnels for the first time. The atmosphere was vibrant with typical Liverpool hospitality. Good place to visit. There is free parking in the area. Worth a visit.

I volunteer here, have done for just over a year. Great bunch of volunteers. I am part of the digging team. We hold tours every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Book in to hear about the wonder's Williamson created and walk through history. Whooo hooo we found the floor 🤩

First visit on 11.4.25. We chose a great day, weather wise. The park was lovely and a nice walk. Lots of blossom trees. The toilets in the mansion/ The Reader were spotless. The Reader Bookshop was nice too - bought some nice cards and earrings. The Japanese Garden was smaller than I imagined, but it was nice. It wasn't very tranquil at that time though, as it was half term and there were a bunch of teenagers with bikes in there. They were ok and polite though. We had a sit and eat in nice walled garden with benches where there were squirrels, so I was gutted I didn't take some nuts or seeds or something. I know for next time though.

Well worth a visit. We love coming to the park for a picnic and a walk. Great cafes, bookshop, playground, walks in the grounds, duck pond, icecream shop and of course the Neolithic Calderstones. The Mansion has great info about the history of the park too.

Fantastic park with good parking options at various entrances. Great play park for kids, a little cafe and toilet and loads of space to walk the dog. It also has the Allerton Oak, estimated to be 5-600 years old but alive and well and feeding the squirrels around.

A daughter's friend recommended this park with a great café. As it was a rainy day it was relatively quiet...it a great find, the The Reader cafe, book shop & coffee shop makes this park a perfect morning or afternoon trip out. The park has many gardens within it, the Japanese garden, the sensory garden & the old English garden. Play area to entertain the kids & a great place to walk the dogs.

I will give it a blast of 5 stars because it truly deserves it. We met a great staff which give us a great and helpful basic insight on what was going on.

300 year old 'Bluecoat' (the pupils wore Bluecoats) School started by a Reverend for children and now an Art Gallery, Cafe, Shop's and Exhibition Centre. The end of the day for us so just went in for coffees and a quick look, definitely a place to come back to. Accessibility: mainly good, flagged path and ramp into the main entrance (electronic doors) avoiding the cobble stones. Ramps internally and a lift to the upper floors. Toilet on the ground floor for disabled. Some historical areas outside had steep steps up. Cafe: nice selection of cafe food, including for veggies. Garden Courtyard: with seating and tables looked inviting and relaxing. Exhibitions: we did not have time to go round, going in just for a coffee, what I did see looked interesting. Opportunities for students to display their work, including a young Yoko Ono in years gone by. Shops: we did not have time to go in as the end of the day for us. Staff: very friendly and helpful. Toilets: up a ramp on the ground floor, maybe others on the other floors but did not go up.

The Bluecoat is a beautiful and historic building which is poorly used and needs a really imaginative make over. The cafe is like a shabby 1950's works canteen with a poor selection of food and drinks, plenty of better cafes in the neighbourhood

This beautiful and tranquil spot in the city centre offers the perfect place to embrace art, culture, and relaxation over a cup of coffee. Housed in a historic building, it features art galleries, an archive, a charming back garden with lovely stores, and a lovely bookstore at the front.

The park that New York's central park was based on. Lovely nature walk, plenty to see and do. Marauding squirrels! The kids [15 yes] enjoyed it as well and even took turns on the outdoor gym equipment too.

Lovely place with tons of history. Very wheelchair friendly and great place to take the dog. Nice cafe at the visitor centre with a good display of the history timeliness of the park. Only downside is that parking is more difficult si centre you can no longer drive into the park itself.

I absolutely love this beautiful park! It's a peaceful place of the city, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. There's so much to see and do whether you're taking a walk, having a picnic, or just watching local wildlife. Friendly squirrels and pigeons, who will even eat from your hand. The only downside is that the water in the ponds could be a bit cleaner, but overall, it’s a wonderful place.

Nice big park, plenty of open grass fields as well as areas with trees and paths, water to walk around, and playgrounds. Wildlife includes ducks, geese, coots, seagulls, pigeons, and squirrels that come right up to your feet to see if you brought any food. The park is split between an upper and a lower park (you have to cross a road to get from one to the other), with the lower park having a bunch of fitness equipment along the paths. There are plenty of benches for those who need a rest or just want to enjoy the views, and also enough maps to avoid getting lost.

Started our trip to Liverpool for my 40th birthday celebrations and this place was an absolute blast and a great ice breaker for those meeting for the 1st time. The free drink was a bonus too 🍻👍 just a shame it took the barman more than 10 minutes to make each drink but all in all an awesome time. Great staff. Great atmosphere and great music.

TL;DR Fair pricing, venue too hot, well designed course, too many people on the course at once, a fun experience, well worth a visit. Review: Prices are about what you'd expect for such a venue. Not overpriced which is always a bonus. What I really liked about 'Golf Fang' was the design of the course, and the whole venue itself reslly. A lot of effort has clearly gone into it and it looks really good. The biggest negative point of our visit was that there is zero air circulation. So although it was only 18° outside, inside was very hot. No A/C, no fans, and of course no windows that could be opened. I would say this would be something that the venue could work to improve and would make a large positive difference to the overall experience. It was very busy (although it was a Saturday afternoon) and although we arrived for our booking on time, there was a wait to enter the course. It seemed like people were allowed onto the course in order of arrival, even if that means a 'walk-in' booking arrived ahead of you (but at the same time) they'd be on the course first, which kind of makes pre-booking unnecessary. A knock-on effect of how busy it was meant we were waiting a while for drinks both at the bar and when ordering from the order points scattered around the course itself. I also feel that too many people were let onto the course at any one time, and the reason I say this is because when people are queing to play the next hole, they were stood on the hole prior (a.k.a the hole you're trying to play on) so this slows everything down and perhaps could be managed better going forward. All in all I would recommend a visit and it was a fun way to pass a couple of hours.

We will 100% be back here! It was great, such fun in the private room picking our songs and the system has so many songs. I will 100% recommend this to my friend for her hen party - great fun!! Lily and Morgan were like ninjas bringing our drinks and shots - so quick!! Thank you!! 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

Went to see How to Train your Dragon with live orchestra! Absolutely phenomenal experience. Incredibly talented people and very friendly staff. Entering with tickets on arrival was swift with no issues at all. Great venue for any show and would highly recommend to all to come and see a show here. Amazing night

First time at The Philharmonic, staff on hand and helpful. Great venue had a good view from the upper circle. Now I've been i will be able to assess what seats to book next time. The only issue is the space around the seats is very tight,especially when you've had recent knee surgery.🫥

Brilliant night for wet wet wet and heather small and john balylock! friendly,more than helpful staff even helped and took my mums crutches to a safe space. Clean and quick to help but at the end a lady sent us the stairs as couldn't go lift. Mum managed but apparently new staff and didn't know what way lift was. 👏👌 would been 5 if she didn't have to walk down 3 sets of stairs and we was last to leave. Thank you to the gentleman in the grandcircle on the left he was amazing. Many thanks Cathy and Nicky

I recommend reserving a table at the 1840 Lounge prior to your performance which costs £25 pp which will be taken off your bar bill at the end of the night. It opens an hour before the performance, and the art deco-inspired interiors create a cosy ambiance. Blues and jazz music play in the background, creating a pleasant atmosphere in the room. We were provided with complimentary table service, and the drink selection was excellent. This made us feel very relaxed and was a pleasant start to our evening. The staff were very welcoming and professional. It was lovely to return to the lounge during the interval and enjoy another cocktail instead of queuing at the bar. I will definitely be booking a table at the 1840 lounge for the next performance I attend.

This was our first visit to the Royal Philharmonic, we had booked many months in advance to see Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells. The venue is quiet stunning and its built for sound so you can be assured of the best acoustics possible. Outside is reminiscent of the old 1920's picture houses, all aglow with bright lights, looks incredible at night. We had no wait at the entrance, simply scanned our tickets and a security check and we were in, the bar and box office were bustling with people, so we headed straight to our seats, I would highly recommend getting a seat in the boxes, its worth the extra cost not to be crammed in and not have the pain of your whole row stand up if you need the toilet. Inside is just as impressive as outside, and I was surprised and please to see how clean and fresh everything looked, no litter or stains etc, nothing looked warn out, quiet impressive for an old venue. Beware the phone users amongst you, staff are constantly watching the audience and if they see the illumination of your phone during the performance you will be asked to put it away. Overall it was an excellent experience abide for two things: 1. On our way out a old couple had fallen down the stairs and were on the floor, a crowd had gathered but when I looked over to see where the staff were busy chatting and laughing seemingly oblivious to the incident, before I could go over to tell them, they had finally 'woken up' and were on the way to assist, I would have thought staff should be far more alert for incidents like these, particularly having more older cliental, kind of embarrassing when the public are handling an emergency with no staff to be seen. 2. again on the way out there was a stand were the act had merchandise for sale, well it was chaos, pushing, shoving, skipping the queue, no order or control at all, staff really should be on hand to manage this, to get people into an orderly line, twice my elderly disabled mother was nearly knocked over by people with no grasp on morals.

Been many Royal Philharmonic always enjoyed this venue. Tonight watching Bootleg Beatles, what a fantastic set. Songs 🎵 from all the Beatles films. Philharmonic packed great night had by all, young and old. Royal and Bootleg did not disappoint. Fab four (tribute) alive and well rocking the house.

Took my children here in Easter half term with there cousins age range 3 to 11. On arrival parking spaces where very limited so we parked a short distance away and walked back. On arrival we were greeted right on time in a wonderful way where we were told what to expect throughout the visit and the kids where hyped up ready to play I must say the staff were brilliant, very enthusiastic and entertaining. Right through the place it's self was very clean and tidy. Great turn around from the staff on re setting each room the place/ staff are very organized. Great range of snacks and drinks available but Would not recommend the milkshakes they are £4.50 lack any flavor and ours were served warm but on a brighter not the coffee is delicious. There are so many fun activities to do through out the day and plenty of things to make and bring home with you. I really think the price of the day is worth every penny. so much fun everything was inclusive for SEN children infact some awesome sensory opportunities for SEN children. Wonderful day out.

We went for the toddler session and our two year old had a whale of a time. There was more than enough there to keep him entertained and busy for the whole duration. So much in fact that he didn't get time to explore everything, but that doesn't matter because there will be new things for him to discover next time. The biggest hit was the augmented reality sandbox where he got totally immersed watching the dinosaurs and the volcano while manipulating the sand to try and stop and redirect the lava flow. Some of the things did not work properly, but that did not detract from any of the fun. Just one other little thing to note, I don't know if this is just our little man's party trick (all of our family seem to have a few) but when we stopped to eat, the chairs in the cafe area are designed with holes in them and our little man managed to get his thumb stuck, not once, but three times! Daddy had to come to the rescue as it was well and truly stuck each time. Can you Imagine that....

The kids had an amazing time here, staff were amazing with them. When my sisters 2 autistic kids couldn't cope with the crowd to see the science show, the staff put on a private showing just for them! Which they loved. Other than being slightly crowded and a little noisier than the kids could handle we all had a great day. We had to leave early as the final room was the party room and the kids couldn't handle the noise (we expected this to happen anyway) I would definitely recommend this to any parent looking for a fun day out with their little ones.

My kids (3&7) love this place. We come every few months and there’s always a new theme/new activities on. Came today for the funfetti party and kids loved making their own sunglasses, fairy potion, pinwheel, painted souvenir. They also got other freebies like fairy wand, hairband/hat, bubbles, little drum, photo etc. It was just non stop fun for them. What really makes this place 5 stars though is the staff. They are enthusiastic, interact well with the kids and are happy to help if you need anything.

So much fun to be had, my 7 year old loved it. Lots to do and really nice, friendly staff. It's pricey but worth it and the kids come away with lots of freebies included. It's well set up with a toilet in each room and cafes in 2 of the rooms. My only small criticism is how loud it was at times, so children with sensory processing difficulties may struggle. My daughter struggles a bit with loud noises so she didn't enjoy the party at the end which was loud and they encouraged the kids to scream. Also when we're were waiting to go in at the beginning the guy brought out a speaker and played loud music to get everyone going, which she didn't like and it did set us off on the wrong foot going in. Luckily once she was in she was ok as there was lots to distract her.

Excellent visit with the family, our 3 year old Niece said she has the “best day ever” with her highlights playing vet, making fairy dust and the disco at the end that she didn’t want to end! The staff are amazing and all the areas are kept really clean with plenty of toilets with good baby change facilities! 100% recommend

Great time with my son this weekend. Really well run and we were both incredibly well supported by the staff who stayed with us throughout to guide us in the games/controls. The set up is fantastic and the games were really fun. Highly recommended.

This was so much fun!! I took my little brother here and we both had such a great time😁 Brian was really helpful and showed us how to use the VR headsets and was knowledgeable about the games:) super duper fun and would defo visit again!

We spent two hours immersing in VR and it was so much fun! The guys were amazing and really looked after us. Our guide was spot on and we discovered lots of fun games and experiences there. I fully recommend trying it, thank you VRVE

Booked this for a small stag do group. Lovely staff, very accommodating and friendly and had cold drinks (including beers) for us in the fridge during the break in the middle. Selection of games, most were very basic and although we all enjoyed, would have been better to have more time doing games where we interacted with each other, as we only did 1 game together at the end. Loved that they video you and send you the videos after!

Such an amazing time on Friday. Booked the hour for me and hubby for date night and had an absolute ball! The staff are friendly, warm and funny and none judgemental! There are so many games to choose from, you will not be bored! Highly recommended.

Unfortunately we visited on a Monday when the actual Hall was closed, so that was a bit disappointing (we were only in Liverpool for the one day) so we paid to walk the gardens instead. Have to say it is such a beautiful place! and when the house comes into view it is breathtaking. Thought it was a bit steep to pay £28 for two of us to just walk around the grounds - but! that being said, the money goes towards the upkeep, so it's worth it knowing that. We will definitely be back again to be able to look inside the Hall. Lovely ladies on the ticket entrance :) we had hot chocolates and cake in the restaurant which was gorgeous. A nice couple of a hours out!

Lovely little gem at the end of Liverpool airport runway and on the Mersey estuary.. A Tutor property, well maintained, with some victorian influence. Plenty of woodland walks, nice settings and nice cafè/resturant serving scouse. Play area, and maze close together. Nice little walled garden. There is Acess to the coastal path the goes along the estuary... but sometimes the gate may be locked. Well worth a visit

An amazing example of a Tudor Hall in all its splendour, transforming you back to a bygone age and the reign of Elizabeth I. What must be unique are the Yew trees (Adam and Eve) in the central courtyard, which the Hall surrounds. They are believed to pre date the building itself! Who would have thought hundreds of years later, their imposing size would fill the space so wonderfully ! Take the time to marvel at the wooden architecture, both inside and out and the history of this fascinating building, it really is special! If walking is your thing, there is the woodland and trails to take, all easily accessible, with children, buggy’s and for dogs. Granted the grounds are not on the scale of other larger National Trust Estates, but still equally as enjoyable.

Gorgeous walks, the grounds are impeccably well kept. Every time I go with the kids, we discover something new! The walks could be a little more clearly sign posted - but that could just be my inability to follow a map! Playground for the kids is great - well kept and maintained. Perhaps a little more seating for grown up wouldn't go amiss? The cafe serves a great selection of snacks and hot drinks. This is definitely the easiest go to for me and the family for a trip out.

Very nice house and there are some pleasent walks. I thought the gardens were a little worse for wear. The nature trail was partly broken. Just tbpught it was a bit tired.

Pretty grounds to wander around. House has a lot of interesting history with the same family for hundreds of years. Some of the Tennants had dubious characters and ways of obtaining their wealth, others over stepped the make with renovations but had famous friends, William Morris, hence the wallpaper. Nice day out.

Been here several times, and it's a fabulous place to visit. It's a really lovely historic Hall, well tended gardens, vegetable garden and lots of nice walks. Went today with three friends, two of whom had never been before. We decided to join the 'victorian tour', which takes place in the Hall at 11.30am, an hour before the Hall opens generally to the public. This free tour requires an entrance ticket and can be booked on entry to the estate. I have to say this is one of the best tours I've ever been on. Sheila, the tour guide, dressed in victorian style clothes, was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day at Speke Hall and all it has to offer, with Sheila being the absolute highlight. Thoroughly recommend.

A really nice and interesting museum. It was very quiet on Saturday morning so we could walk around calmly and enjoy everything. After that we bought some nice souvenirs in the gift shop. The lady at the counter was very friendly!

Brilliant place, worth a visit, its full of excellent artefacts, tapestry, paintings, sculptures, thank you for sharing this lovely place. The surrounding area is also worth a visit. The cafe was A1, coffee was so nice and rich, cakes were moist, fresh and we ended up having several cakes. The scones were also fresh and enjoyable. The young brunette lady who served was brilliant and polite and very helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

A lovely art gallery with some interesting and delightful pieces. A bonus was the Jim Muir exhibition! Cafe only takes contactless card and they had no gluten free/vegan cake, so they lost one star because I couldn't have a treat! 😂

Easy to get to, and Port Sunlight village surrounding the gallery is an architectural gem in itself. The wide range of exhibits inside the gallery reflect the 'typical' breadth of interests of Lord Lever's family. Sculptures, paintings, ornaments, and furniture from across the globe and spanning Millennia mean there's always something to view. An added bonus was the Jim Moir exhibition of his bird paintings. The cafe in the basement provided good fare too.

Easy to park, right outside. Give yourself 2-3 hours to wander. Well worth a visit, it is free. The museum of Port Sunlight is opposite too. Everything is labelled, loved it.

We were there on Tuesday and no problem with parking. I went to see Jim Moir's paintings of birds which are fabulous, especially the one of the large ravens head showing the reflection of the Tower of London. The rest of the exhibits in the gallery were amazing from the old masters, furniture and pottery. Stopped in the cafe for coffee and cake half way round the place. It was a good afternoon out, I recommend it, well worth a visit. No tickets needed, they just ask for a £5 donation and worth every penny.

Brilliant gallery, wish I'd visited sooner! Jim Moir's display of bird paintings was a highlight and there's a great mix of different things to see here. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the little black cat outside 😂❤️

Very nice grounds and playground. The wall garden was very beautiful. The farm is always a hit with little ones. The building and pond are not as taken carebof as a few years ago but still nice. A great day out for the family

The route here was challenging and we didn't see a single brown sign. Google maps told me that I had arrived when I was in Stockbridge Village. Anyway this place is brilliant. The hall itself was closed but the farm is fantastic. Loads of really great animals to interact with all really well kept with space to roam and do what animals do. The park is huge and the walled garden is beautiful, probably even more so in the summer.

Lovely historic hall in parkland. There are visitor attractions, and the hall has function rooms for hire. Ideal location for a wedding etc. The parkland is extensive. I live locally and walk run my working cocker spaniel off the lead here... he absolutely loves chasing his ball round this place. There's also a college on the grounds, near the hall, a small animal zoo, and farm buildings. There's stable, but not sure if the riding school still exists.? There's also an adventure park for older kids to explore. And you can ride the miniature steam train with your toddlers. A swing park with cafe nearby just about completes the picture. A short walk away from the hall, but on the same grounds, there are open fields you can walk around. The farm keeps a small herd of Highland cattle, which can often be seen grazing in the pastures. Quite often I see, hares, rabbits, herons, and any type of wild fowl. Even saw a falcon once, sitting in an oak tree, eyeing some unsuspecting prey. There's plenty of parking available.

Fab day out at the farm, nice cafe with freshly prepared food at reasonable prices. Lots of plesant walks, childrens play area & a little train ride with lovely gardens. GREAT LOW COST DAY OUT

Worth a visit because it's old... Historic... And dare I say? FREE! Lovely old merchants house, art works. With a good tea rooms and gardens. Overlooking the nicer part of the Mersey. Light lunches, cakes and refreshments available. The onsite staff were happy to answer any questions. Enjoyed our visit.

Lovely place to visit for a couple of hours. Superb collection of fine art, artifacts and furniture on display. All clearly explained on the guides available in each room. The staff on duty were great, well informed and easy to talk to. The cafe was lovely too, nice choice on the menu. Free to get in as well, had a great time. Will visit again.

Was walking past with my walking group and thought we'd have a look inside. The place is beautifully kept and a pleasure to walk around. Staff were very helpful and very knowledgeable on the details of each room. I would have liked to tour the garden but unfortunately it was raining. We went to the cafe for a cup of tea but it was full ( it was half term) so never got to try it out either. Will have to call back another day. The other good thing about the place is that it's totally free of charge, so it's somewhere to take the kids next time they're off school.

A small but visit worthy part of Liverpool's museums. The art is delightful, especially the trompe l'oeil painting ofcthe woman whose eyes and body are pointing towards you wherever you are in the room (ask to see the spooky painting).

This is a really nice historical property to walk around, particularly the ground floor which the council have attempted to restore to it's original glory. The gardens are very tranquil and the coffee shop popular with a good range of light dishes, snacks and refreshments. It's a nice, low key venue to relax in as you walk around. Also impressive is the art collection with Turners and Gainsborough amongst others - all collected by the original owner of the house. Similarly, I particularly enjoyed getting amongst the exhibits, unlike at National Trust properties which tend to rope-off rooms - well done Liverpool City Council

A great little place, the soup and sandwiche was very good. Plenty of information about the painting and the house to read on the way round,it's free to enter but you can leave a donation. All the staff were very friendly and polite.

A really lovely afternoon spent. The house is free to view, donations accepted. Reception staff very helpful, we were able to borrow a wheelchair for my mum free of charge, they even put her walking stick away safely. There is a QR code for a guide and plenty of printed information. The house is beautiful, bit dark today but fabulous artwork including photos and oil paintings, some famous Landseers, currently an exhibition of animal paintings on view. There are some activities for kids, games and colouring, gorgeous garden to walk in with view of the river. The cafe is spotless, seating in and outside. Food is prepared fresh so a little wait but worth it. We got hot ciabattas, plenty of filling, crisp and really tasty. Got mum a bowl of Scouse, served with crusty bread and red cabbage. It was really delicious, plenty of meat and veg. We got tea in individual glass pots, there is a good menu for hot drinks, cold soft and alcoholic. A real hidden gem and well worth a visit, the Scouse is worth the trip!! Thank you

The Victoria Building is a Grade II listed Gothic Revival structure located at the corner of Brownlow Hill and Ashton Street in Liverpool. Designed by the renowned architect Alfred Waterhouse, it was completed in 1892 as the first purpose-built headquarters for what would become the University of Liverpool. The building was funded through public donations and contributions from notable philanthropists such as Henry Tate and William Hartley. It was officially opened on December 13, 1892, by Lord Spencer, Chancellor of the Victoria University . Constructed with Ruabon brick and terracotta dressings under a slate roof, the building features a distinctive L-shaped layout with 13 bays facing Brownlow Hill and five bays along Ashton Street. The centerpiece is the Jubilee Tower, adorned with a clock and bells funded by public subscription to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887. The tower's chimes, cast by Taylor of Loughborough, each bear an inscription from Tennyson's In Memoriam. The building's architectural style and use of red brick led to the coining of the term "red brick university" . Internally, the Victoria Building housed lecture rooms, staff offices, common rooms, and the Tate Library, which was designed to hold 80,000 volumes. The Leggate Theatre, located within the building, hosted numerous lectures, concerts, and events featuring notable figures such as writer Hilaire Belloc, poet Walter de la Mare, and composer Gustav Holst . As the university expanded, departments gradually moved out, and the building became primarily used for administrative purposes. In 1938, the Tate Library was relocated to the Harold Cohen Library, and the former library space became known as Tate Hall, serving as a venue for exhibitions and formal events. In 2008, following a major restoration costing £8.6 million, the building was transformed into the Victoria Gallery & Museum, housing the university's art and heritage collections . Today, the Victoria Gallery & Museum is open to the public and offers a glimpse into Liverpool's rich academic and architectural history.

I had often walked past this gem without really noticing it as the entrance is just off the main road on the university campus. It is free to enter and there is a cafe inside serving a range of set dishes, notably Scouse with a cheese scone, very nice. There are 3 floors of exhibits and a glass elevator for ease of access. The exhibits are varied and interesting but the architecture steals the show, well worth a visit and easily accessible from Liverpool Central station with a frequent bus service up the hill. They also do sketching sessions at set times were you can go along and join in.

What a place!! Architectural gem on a map of Liverpool, full of history. During my visit it turned out that there was free drawing session, open to anyone who want to try. I really enjoyed my visit in the gallery & museum. Definitely worth to visit!

Interesting history behind this beautiful building. Would definitely recommend the guided tour. Thanks to our volunteer guide who went above and beyond with a full tour of the building including the floors currently under repair and the outer buildings also built by Waterhouse. Really interesting.

I like visiting museums and historical places so since I was visiting Liverpool I had to drop by to see the artwork. To begin with, the building looks stunning! I found this museum interesting and the artwork was incredible. A lovely cozy café past the entrance and very helpful knowledgeable staff. Overall a nice place to visit in Liverpool.

FACT is one of Liverpool’s most exciting spaces for contemporary art, and each visit leaves me inspired and curious. What I love most is how it champions bold, forward-thinking artists and immersive experiences that go far beyond traditional gallery formats. During my recent visit, I was particularly struck by the work of RIP Germain and Sara Sadik’s XENON PALACE CHAMPIONSHIP—an interactive installation and film that was as thought-provoking as it was visually captivating. Sadik’s exploration of identity, masculinity, and digital worlds created a space that felt both intimate and otherworldly. The way visitors are invited to engage with the piece adds a whole new layer to the experience—it’s not just something you view; it’s something you feel and participate in. FACT continues to set itself apart by not only showcasing powerful contemporary voices but by creating environments where art becomes a full sensory experience. Whether it’s through sound, motion, or interaction, every exhibition challenges the viewer in the best possible way. This space proves that art can be immersive, playful, and deeply moving all at once. FACT is a must-visit for anyone who loves art that pushes boundaries and speaks to the present moment.

Nice and easy to get to from Central Station, good friendly staff. Automatic doors to get in, good signage about floors and facilities, a decent sized lift and Screen 1 is brilliant. I did get a bit confused because I couldn't see any clear seat or space numbers on the chairs or walls, so I just hoped I was in the right space. My one negative is that the disabled toilet is already on the small side but they have a massive baby changing table in the transfer space and a bin by the door, there is no turning circle, and the hand drying machine is awkward to use. And because there's no turning circle it's hard and painful to close the door and lock the door after myself. I had to do so by twisting my body around. I would have had to have backed up out of the bathroom to use the hand dryer less painfully. It's such an amazing building and institution, but as always bare minimum with the wheelchair accessible toilet. However given their more well known counterparts are refurbing to hell and back with prices soaring and access lessening, I will still be happy to visit again.

I went to see the new horror movie “Weapons” which was playing in screen 2. Unfortunately, the sound in this room was far too quiet. So much so that several people went out to speak to the manager. You could barely hear any of the dialogue being spoken. I unfortunately couldn’t continue to watch the movie. Taking sound out of a horror movie detracts from the whole reason for watching. I was told that this is unfortunately how the digital reel was mixed for this cinema and there was an error. However when I went straight over to another cinema, I was told that this likely wasn’t true as all local cinemas receive the same copy of each film and it was likely the speaker which may have blown. Either way, if the projectionists or managers know that there’s an error with the screen, they shouldn’t be playing said picture. I was grateful to receive a refund after deciding to go and see the movie in a nearby cinema. But again if others were charged full price to see a movie that had sound issues I feel that’s a bit of an unethical move by the company.

Let's talk about the pizza slice. I ordered a Vegetarian Hot slice. The cheese felt cheap and like chewing gum. The crust was extra floppy and lacked personality. ... The presentation, price, and the presence of oils on the table (peperoncino, aglio) - a nice touch.

Brilliant place to visit the cinema or to take in some contemporary art. I usually come here to watch old films and there are plenty of seasons of movies from certain directors and genres etc. Lovely staff and a fab environment away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cinema chains.

What a fantastic venue! Right in the city centre, with great ambience and seats that recline. Clean and well run. Top stuff!

Great place to enjoy an event, exhibition or catch a movie. From start to finish, everything was excellent.

We had lots of fun at the Everyman Theatre's Murder Mystery special for Halloween. The actors were brilliant, and it was an enjoyable experience. The price of the ticket was a bit too pricey as it included food, which was only nachos, chilli, and guacamole. It took a long time for it to arrive, was lukewarm when it finally came, and the quality of the food was not worth £15.

Nice venue. No complaints. Roughly a 10 minute walk from Lime Street station. Ps. Very nice Victorian pub close to Everyman (2 min walk) called the "Philharmonic". Full of nooks, crannies and character. Well worth a visit if you have time.

I have just had a brilliant night doing the murder mystery City Of The Curses at The Everyman Theatre. My wife and I have never done this before and it was a joy. The actors were excellent and performed amongst you and then allowed questions to them face to face. Be prepared to share a table with other detectives and we were lucky with two great couples who were fun and respectful of the actors. Pie and mash was.lovely and served at the beginning which totally made.sense and allowed you to mix with your table before the actors took over..it was fantastic. Actors knew their stuff and were such fun when questioned. Loved it. Great night. Thank you Everyman!

Looks like a great venue, although our Romeo and Juliet performance on Tuesday was cancelled after only 20 mins! Poor communication about what was happening during the initial pause then full cancellation and no automatic refund of our digital tickets bought online, and no proactive email or communication from the venue about how to get refunds, and whether we can claim back wasted parking, and tunnel fees and fuel...

Very sad to have to leave this review as the beginning of the night and building itself were great, however the end of the night, attitude of members of staff and value for money as a consequence were diabolical and upsetting. Myself and three others attended the Eurovision watch party, paying £80 for tickets to an event advertised as running from 8pm to midnight (including a pre-party and karaoke). The venue itself was lovely, and the evening began with a great atmosphere full of energy and excitement. However, things took a very upsetting turn around 11:40pm when the lights were abruptly turned on and the sound was turned down to the point we could no longer hear the broadcast. Despite the whole audience asking for the volume to be restored, we were ignored. A few minutes later, the sound was switched off completely, and we were told this was being done “to get us all out.” Eventually, the sound was turned back on briefly so we could hear the final result but Eurovision still wasn’t over, and before the last performance could even air, the screen was turned off and we were asked to leave. If there were time constraints due to licensing or staffing that required the broadcast to end strictly at midnight, this should have been clearly communicated at the time of ticket purchase or at the very least at the start of the event. The way we were rushed out, while some were trying to gather their belongings or even just use the toilet, was chaotic and disrespectful. It’s especially disheartening because the event had such a wonderful, inclusive atmosphere earlier in the night. So many guests had clearly put in a lot of effort and were genuinely excited, having travelled far and looked forward to this event for weeks. Unfortunately, the abrupt and poorly managed ending overshadowed what could have been a truly memorable night. I had been looking forward to visiting this venue for a long time, but after this experience, I sadly won’t be returning.

Met for a reunion - good choice of beers and excellent value food options. Recommended.

Book in advance. A hop on hop off bus is a good way to get to know a place. In Liverpool there was so much interest in it that it was sold out on our day one. We booked for day 2, both the city tour that stops at all major places of interest in the city, and the Beatles tour that goes further afield to visit homes of John, Paul, Ringo, Stu, George (whose neighbours blocked the route so we couldn’t go), Penny Lane and Strawberry Field. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and played great music related to the places we were visiting. The atmosphere was amazing for a bus full of Beatles fans and nostalgists. We stopped a few times to walk to a few places and take pictures. The combined ticket lasts for 2 days, but beware it’s not full 2 days, it’s 48h from booking, which should be made more clear on the company’s site. I’d recommend they make it 2 full days as 2 tours on one day is quite a lot of bus riding rather than exploring the great city of Liverpool and remembering all the great moments we all had with the great Beatles music.
