We were greeted and seated immediately. We ordered the Plantains off the Tapas menu. They were served with crispy cancha (corn nuts), chimichurri, and huancaina sauces. I had the Black Mussels for my entrée and my husband had the Diver Sea Scallops. I also ordered a side of Truffle Fries because why not?! Every single dish was delicious!! Our waitress, Monica, was attentive, knowledgeable, warm, and friendly! We will definitely request her again if we ever come back this way. 10/10 recommend!!

I recently visited The Cottage and had a pleasant experience overall. The staff was friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was good. The plating was nice, but the garnishes on several plates looked a bit tired and not as fresh as I would have hoped. That slightly took away from the visual appeal of the meal. It was an okay dining experience. Worth a try if you’re nearby and want a casual bite in a nice setting.

We had eaten here during g our last visit to Siesta Key and really enjoyed it so it was an easy decision to go back again for lunch today. It’s normally too hot to eat outside in Florida restaurants in August but due to the large canopy we were able to do so without getting g too hot - the many fans helped! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we were soon sitting down with drinks trying to decide what to eat from the large menu. It was lunch time so we’re looking at sandwiches, burgers etc - we decided on the grouper sandwich and the seared tuna club sandwich with both of us upgrading to the truffle and Parmesan fries. The food was absolutely great - so tasty and the fries were a revelation! Just about the right quantity for lunch so didn’t have a dessert. Happy to come back

Wonderful tiki bar with friendly service and great bites. Excellent service from the Bartender Rudy and the Manager Tiffany, along with the awesome live music truly made for the perfect atmosphere and fun night out with my Husband.

​My friend and I visited The Cottage multiple times during our week in Siesta Key, and every single time it felt a bit like walking into Cheers. Everyone was genuinely excited to see us. The entire staff was, without a doubt, the friendliest and most personable team we encountered on the Key. A massive shout-out needs to go to Kyle, who was a true standout for "adopting" us and taking such good care of us throughout our visits. ​The curated menu is fantastic. I highly recommend the tuna tacoshimi, the mussels, and the rich, delicious lobster bisque. They were all instant favorites. And for drinks, their mai tai is a must-try. The quality of the food combined with the welcoming atmosphere created by the staff makes this place unforgettable. If you’re looking for great dining and even better hospitality in Siesta Key, you have to stop by The Cottage. We can’t wait to return!

I never review dining experiences till now - the seaweed salad was perfect with a little lemon squeeze. But the Key West roll knocked my socks off - spicy salmon cucumber avocado cilantro and lime zest was great. But then I requested a side of truffle ponzu for a tiny dip and the combo was ambrosia!!

I have lived on the East coast, West coast, Midwest & this is hands down the best sushi I have ever had. We used to go to Hana in Lakewood Ranch, which unfortunately closed. This restaurant has far exceeded our expectations. The food is other-worldly. We recommend the Red Sonya & Forbidden roll. Our waitresses have always been fantastic, specifically Kat. I recently visited this sushi restaurant and had a great experience overall. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — you can really tell they use quality ingredients. The service was okay; nothing bad, but it could have been a bit more attentive. Still, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed, and I’d definitely come back again for the sushi.

We had not been here for quite a while and decided to try it again. It was a Saturday night around 6 PM and we will see that immediately. We had a very good server, a man with a personality- Cary/Kerry - no name tag. I had the Japanese vodka which was good. My wife had a gin and tonic with the same vodka and said it was tasty. Edamame was find. Salad was chilled. I have never liked their miso soup. I don’t think they make it with enough miso. The Korean fried chicken was delicious. My sushi/sashimi combo was good although I remember the sushi pieces are smaller than other places. My wife got the stir fried noodles which was tasteless, and this from a person who likes bland food. We almost sent it back. Overall a good experience.

We celebrated a 12 years old birthday here because his favorite food is sushi. Thirteen of us. Great time; very good food.

Every time I come to this restaurant anyone I bring all say the same thing! "This place is amazing how did you find it, we gotta come back!!!" The food has been perfect every time! Every Time!!! AKI my favortie server is without a doubt a pro she knows everything about the menu if you have any questions, but best of all she can knows the perfect reaction to each of my dads jokes and thats one of a kind!!! Then you have the best part the reason this Restaurant is her Noriko & Akane the mom and daugther that run the restaurant and why I think it runs so smooth they have an Outstanding staff and ive ran many restaurants in Sarasota and Dined at even more I think this place is the best! Go Try It and I know you'll agree!

I visited this place a while ago, and overall, it was a great experience. The service was fantastic—staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate our needs. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a relaxed vibe that made the meal even more enjoyable. As for the food, everything we tried was delicious. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, but the rice could have been a bit more flavorful. That said, it didn’t detract too much from the meal as the rest of the ingredients were spot on. If you’re looking for solid sushi and excellent service, I’d definitely recommend this place!

Had a dinner there yesterday and was very happy with food and service. Golf was our server and he was extremely nice making this experience even more enjoyable! Best Thai food I had so far!🥲❤️💫 (Green curry is a must try)

GO HERE!!! When booking our reservation, one of our friends told the restaurant that we were all celebrating our engagement and they made the night sooo special for us! Special shoutout to Golf. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, and I want to start by saying the staff we interacted with were pretty kind. We came to this restaurant specifically for the DJ event we saw online, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant reeked of marijuana - it was so strong they had to prop the front door open. Initially, we thought it was one staff member, but we were later told it was coming from the kitchen. Despite contemplating leaving, we stayed because we were hungry and wanted to see the DJ. The food ended up being mediocre, and in hindsight, we should have left immediately. Additionally, the restrooms were shocking - almost every ceiling tile was moldy, and there were spider webs throughout along the ceiling, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and what’s happening in the kitchen. To top it off, a visibly drunk man came in with his dog off-leash, and the staff allowed the dog to remain inside. Even though the dog was well-behaved, it felt completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Overall, I found the environment unsanitary and unwelcoming. I hope this review is useful to others, and I will not be returning.

Rainbow roll was good. I totally agree with other reviews that the prices don’t really match the quality. The crab Rangoon was the most disappointing dish. It tasted solid but was tiny and probably better to pass on since it was nothing special. Overall it will satisfy a sushi craving but be prepared for a hefty price.

I had a lovely lunch with my family at Drunken Poet. The ambiance was great, I liked the decor. The service was attentive. My favorites were the Thai chicken wings, and the sushi rolls were quite good as well. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time!

Quaint little spot on Main Street. Service was great, attentive and friendly. We went with 4 stars because the Pad Thai was a little off base. It tasted good, but it’s wasn’t what we would consider authentic. All in all, nice visit and good place to have a quiet meal.

Came here for the first time today. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and very clean. We lucked out to have TC as our server. She was incredible. We took her recommendation on what to eat. We were blown away. Amazing food & truly incredible staff. Will absolutely be back & cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Nim was an AMAZING waitress , served great food on time and very respectfully. I have never been downtown and this was by far the best sushi I’ve ever had. I got to meet Chang and he was also very nice. The atmosphere, the food, the service was incredible. I will definitely be back with more family and friends!! Every thing is amazing about this Thai Bristo. We went for lunch after a business meeting and had Chicken Pad Thai level one spiciness. I was not able to pause and take a picture after the first bite. So delicious and authentic. My colleagues had some Sushi and said the special rolls are outstanding. Highly recommend if you are on Main St. In Sarasota and want a decent bite. Oh by the way they have a full bar and the decoration and atmosphere is magnificent.

I went for the first time today, TC was my server and she was AMAZING. I asked what she recommended, she knew the menu inside and out. She asked questions to see what I was into, sweet savory etc and recommended accordingly. I ordered exactly what she recommended as she recommended it and was not disappointed.. her energy was upbeat, friendly + attentive. You just don’t find good service like that. It’s something that can’t be taught. Highly recommend, will forsure be back!

Would be 5 stars but the snotty little girl at the host stand ruined that! Keep in mind that this review is actually from earlier in the year but still… my friend and I walked in and asked to be seated inside and the girl immediately said there is nothing available inside…you have to sit outside….as I’m looking around 3/4 of the tables inside are empty so I actually mentioned that, she proceeded to tell me that they’re all reserved and you have to sit outside… I knew that wasn’t true but we walked out… then I walked back in….acted like I was going to sit in the bar and then asked the bartender if the tables in the dining room were actually all reserved…she laughed and said not at all, then she asked if that’s where we wanted to sit…and she took it upon herself to sit us inside in the main dining room….we walked past the snotty girl on the way to the table and she gave us a dirty look, don’t lie and cause the business that you work for to potentially lose business!! Besides that fact the service from our waiter was excellent and the food was superb!!

To go. Lettuce wraps were worst I've ever had, chicken was barely chewable and bean sprouts were not cleaned/fresh. Pineapple steak fried rice very bland. Edamame was good.

I need to start with my wife’s favorite appetizer…ANYWHERE! The poppers, five for $10, are the reason this is a must stop. The “Russian roulette “ peppers are hot, crunchy and delicious! About one in ten are ghost pepper spicy…you never know! All other food here is fresh with the best tempura batter anywhere. The lettuce wraps are my favorite because of the unique peanut sauce. AND the owner is always present, dressed for success and it shows. We lucked out and met his daughter and granddaughter so we know it’s family driven. Can’t wait to return. Enjoy

We stopped in for a late dinner tonight, food is always amazing though tonight our server Punch made our visit exceptional! Having someone as attentive, kind, caring and knowledgeable about sushi to make a few outstanding recommendations, this type of service should not go unnoticed! Thank you - Sam

7 of us for my birthday dinner. My kids, their others and my amazing wife. Service was attentive. The drinks, apps, sushi and meals were all excellent! The birthday song and firework were so fun.

A favorite for reliably fresh sushi and universally satisfying cooked dishes. Kids are always happy, parents are easily pleased and I never lack for something new to try.

The restaurant was so loud with music and loud people and very dark and hard to see the menu. Sushi was okay but squid was just take out of fish water taste. The roll was taste like old oil so I couldn’t eat. The stuff was nice.

Their cook food was actually really good. But the sushi not so much. The fish and rice just don’t seem to be fresh or well put together. But maybe Sarasota is not known for that (we been spoiled elsewhere). Good service at a mom and pop type of place. Wish them well.

Over the years my wife and I have eaten here and never had a bad experience. The food is always amazing and you will not have a poor experience. At least that was until today. We chose Yume as our first date night since our son was born because it was our place to go since before we were married. The meal was excellent aside from the black hair ball found in my wife's salad (as seen in the picture). There was no conversation with the manager or change in price. We paid full price for our sushi and hairball. I'm very disappointed and regret having to go find another sushi place because truly this place was amazing.

Yume is one of my favorite sushi spots in town! Everything is always in beautiful presentation and also tastes delicious. The drinks are also great. The key line martini and the jalapeno margarita are so good!

My son and I love sashimi and sushi and we've been to quite a few good places. Yume Sushi tops them all! The portions are large, fresh and tasty. We had so much food we had to box the appetizers up and take them home. The ambience is very cool especially the fish tank with the exotic fish. We were super impressed.

Great looking restaurant but the few things we ordered were incredibly lackluster and attention wasn't great, they had a single server on a Saturday evening. Everything felt like it wasn't up to par to what restaurant food should live up to. Horrible rice on the Sushi, and we ordered good variety of it. For "better" sushi, you can go anywhere else, store-bought cold sushi will be a significant upgrade.

The restaurant is very nice. Has a very intimate atmosphere. Street parking wasn't bad. We got very fast and friendly service. We live in Temple Terrace but visited due to a Groupon. Glad we got it! They have an extensive sushi list and the rest of their menu looked delicious. Both my husband and I thought the sushi was "good" but not the best we've had. The shrimp jalapeno poppers were TO DIE FOR though. Definitely recommend them if you want your tastebuds to dance.

Yume has incredible sushi and drinks! I find myself revisiting this restaurant whenever I go back to Sarasota. The staff and ambience could definitely use a pick me up as it is rather lackluster and service was pretty mediocre, but the menu gets a perfect score. 💯

This little cute place is definitely worth your visit when in Siesta Key Village. It’s a tiny indoor place with a few tables outside, when I walked in I was not sure about the place, I don’t know what I expected but my expectations were exceeded to the max. Thank you to Steve and Amber for serving us, guiding us through the food choices and extra kudos to Steve, he made me separate non-mayo dips so I didn’t have to miss out, it was amazing! We had a few different things, the fried pickles as a starter is a must, so delicious, the America Burger, the filet mignon rice bowl. Everything 10/10. Lots of beer and wine choices as well! You’re missing out if you don’t visit this cute little place. Thank you guys!

I've been here multiple times. The first time was great. The second time wasn't so good as the service was really lacking and food wasn't on par. The last time I came a few days ago it was great! The service was really good and fast. Food came out super hot and everything was good. The first shrimp app was phenomenal and I highly recommend that dish. The steak tacos were good - could have used a little more crema but some hot sauce did the trick. The bowls they have are also very very good! Overall if you're in the key I highly suggest stopping by here for lunch. They have a lot of great options.

So glad we stumbled on this place! Best Brussels I’ve ever had (no pic because they were eaten so fast). Mahi tacos and grouper sliders were also amazing. Stephen was an excellent server, great knowledge of fish/tastes and gave us some great local recs!

I ordered online, so no opinion on atmosphere and service. The food was not very good. I really wanted to like this place too. I ordered the chicken sandwich with duck fries. The chicken sandwich was missing the prosciutto and special lettuce. Horrible chicken sandwich. Also, no duck fries. Regular not very good fries. I won't finish the sandwich and I'm giving the fries to my dog. Truly a 2 1.5/10. Especially considering how expensive this place is.

A Must-Visit in Siesta Key! We had an incredible experience at The Island House Tap & Grill! From the moment we sat down, we felt welcomed and relaxed. The atmosphere is laid back and perfect for Siesta Key vibes. The food? Outstanding. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. We also tried the chicken tacos, and they were just as amazing. You can tell they take real pride in their ingredients and preparation. What really made the visit special was our server, Amber. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Her energy and great recommendations elevated our whole experience. Myself and my family (5 of us) dined here on Friday night 7/25/25. We were initially surprised by how tiny the restaurant was, but we were seated outside by the hostess Amber who was extremely friendly! We ordered drinks, amber house ale, a classic Moscow mule, and more. All were great. As for food, we ordered 2 steakhouse burgers, a shrimp bowl, steak bowl, and tuna bowl. Safe to say we all CLEANED our plates. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. We will definitely be returning a second time during our stay here in Siesta Key.

Been coming to siesta key for years and somehow we have never found this place until today. Genuinely the best food we have had. Fresh, cooked to order and simply amazing. Service was perfect, the team took the time to chat and make us feel massively welcome throughout. Please just try this food… you won’t regret it!

After ordering Isan Thai’s amazing food from Uber Eats for 9 months, we finally made it into the charming dining room on Tamiami Trail today. I ordered the pork larb salad and my husband had the stir fried Mee Krob noodles with chicken, broccoli , carrots and spicy brown sauce Everything was delicious, piping hot, perfectly seasoned and great serving size . Our server Orn was lovely - all of the staff were very friendly and kind. We will definitely be back!

We have always enjoyed dining here, but today, our party of five was seated in a small booth with an extra chair, despite the availability of larger tables. We were surprised to find a 20% gratuity automatically added to our bill. While we appreciate good service and usually tip generously, we felt this was excessive, especially since our waiter did not offer drink refills, perhaps because the gratuity was already included. We believe that tips should reflect the quality of service, and we would have preferred the option to tip based on our experience. It would be helpful if there was a sign indicating that a gratuity is automatically added for larger parties.

Such kind and attentive service. Generously portioned. Fresh. Savory. The Thai iced tea was lovely. Asked for medium heat, was given it a bit more mild. Perhaps they wanted to play it safe in case we were first-timers. The Isan sampler came with a variety of nice sauces, and the spring rolls were crispy. The seafood Radnah is one of my favorites.

Really cute place. I had takeout from this place before and their yellow curry was so full of flavor with coconut milk goodness! We also ordered the fried whole fish which came as a filet (they sell out quickly) and it was pretty tasty as well! The sweet and sour sauce they serve with is is yummy! I highly recommend coming here! Their crab Rangoon were stuffed with filling which I liked 👍

Amazing Thai Restaurant!! The food was delicious, and the services were fast. From the outside don't look like a fancy restaurant but once you are inside, you see the decoration from Thailand. They have 2 menus lunch and dinner, and they also have delivery with Door Dash. They have a drink menu with beers, wines, and drinks. When we arrived, we had to wait 15 min because the place we're full, I ordered some grilled shrimp, and the sauce was the different was spicy and tangy. My main dish was the stir fried cashew with beef and was delicious, the rice was serve with a shape of heart ❤️, my wife ordered the spring rolls and was good, but she was amazed with the yellow curry with the extra tofu she said was delicious. For drinks, we ordered a glass of Malbec Wine and Michelob Ultra that was cold like it had to be!. The waitress was fast and cordial.

I’m really picked and selective when it comes to my Thai food. It’s a food type that I really enjoy and have hd my fair share first hand from Thailand. Back to this restaurant, it has a very native and authentic feel. I selected a red curry dish and Angela selected Pad Thai (my personal favorite). Both dishes were amazing and the hospitality was too notch. If you’re in the mood for Thai food, definitely consider Isan Thai Restaurant!!!

We love this restaurant, as it has a very pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Their Pad Thai is excellent, as well as their Red Curry. I do not like their soups that much, as they seems a bit bland for a classic Thai soup. Their coconut ice cream is great.

Very good experience at Tsunami Downtown Sarasota, we had the Sumo roll and the lobster roll and they were tasty, also sashimi was fresh. Service was friendly and the ambiance was relaxed but elegant. Good location if you are downtown and you feel like sushi.

Really tasty sushi, steamed gyoza and crab Rangoon. Got the one night stand, lobster and Florida rolls. Service was very prompt and nice.

Very good sushi. Larger pieces than other places I’ve been. Air conditioners may of been set to low. Very warm in the restaurant and service was a bit slow. Still, the sushi was fantastic.

We had an amazing experience! We ordered the Paradise Sushi and the Hibachi with Filet Mignon & Shrimp, and both were absolutely delicious. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the hibachi was cooked to perfection—the filet mignon was tender, and the shrimp had just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. We definitely plan on coming back soon! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great sushi and hibachi. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a party of 8, and they're were two other parties with 13, and a few smaller tables late Saturday night.... regardless, the server was transparent about the large parties/ staffing short, and stated there may be some delays. The food and ambiance were amazing, tol notch sushi and hibachi food. The wait staff were very attentive, which ensured no order was forgotten- great communication (it caught some sushi rolls that were delayed, but only minor). Overall, this is a 5 of 5 star. Attentive, Professional, and communicative/transparent staff, excellent food quality and presentation, and great variety. 100% revoked recommend this place

Went there with a group of friends from my community Bird Bay Village in Venice, Florida, and it was very good. The food was great. The chef did an excellent job entertaining us. I would definitely recommend this place all the people.

Had a pretty great experience yesterday night. Ordered a couple drinks with the fam and they were amazing. I would say the food is a little on the expensive side, but they make up for it in the atmosphere. While we were at the bar Ulysses (pardon me if I have it wrong!) gave me my food and he was so nice and helpful, he was so sweet and kind and he made me feel welcomed. It was our first time there and he explain everything well and overall helped me, shocking for how young he is. Saw him running about the whole restaurant helping out, he was a one man army. Would highly recommend this place and will go back for sure!!

We go to Daruma for my son’s birthday every year, and this year, “Joe” made it extra special. He was so much fun, and really went out of his way to make sure the birthday boy had a fun time. Thanks, Joe!

What can I say! This team never disappoints! Food amazing! Service spectacular! This is the third set of friends I’ve brought here from Orlando and they have always made my visit memorable! Ron, Ulysses and Trenton are top notch!!! I will always return with my friends and family!

While the atmosphere and service were great, unfortunately the menu lacks pizazz. Over cooked items are left dry and honestly the best thing I can say about any of the food we had was that the ginger salad which is served with all entrees was undeniably the best part of our meal followed subsequently only by the andies mint chocolates that come complimentary with the bill
