Felt so peaceful after coming here. Went on the eve of Guru Purab, there was a huge crowd but still the management was so effective that everything was happening smoothly. Got in a queue to receive prasad and had a pleasant time sitting near the holy waters.

Our family visited Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara during 21 to 23 October 2025 Dipawali holidays Darshan. We stayed at Sri Guru Arian Devji Niwas, near campus. Due to the blessings of God, we took Darshan for 3 consecutive days, in a calm, tranquil, pious, religious atmosphere. We got Langar prasad. Hundreds of Sikh community bhakts were voluntarily providing their valuable services happily. It has a clean, peaceful, serene, excellent infrastructure facilities coupled with best human resources serving the devotees.

Visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple, was a truly divine and peaceful experience. The moment you step inside, the positive energy of the place surrounds you completely. The sight of the golden structure reflecting on the holy water is absolutely breathtaking, it feels serene and spiritual in every sense. The seva done by volunteers, from helping visitors to preparing and serving food in the langar, is truly inspiring. The langar experience itself is something everyone should have at least once, pure, and full of devotion. The entire temple complex is extremely well-maintained, clean, and beautifully organized despite the huge crowds. The pathway around the sarovar is peaceful for sitting or walking, especially in the early morning or late evening when the lighting makes it look magical. Overall, Sri Harmandir Sahib is not just a religious place but a symbol of peace, equality, and faith. No matter what your background is, you’ll feel a deep sense of spirituality here. A must-visit place that truly touches the heart.

A divine place. I have almost zero knowledge of Sikhism. But when I stand in th3 queue for 4 hours that is when I felt the presence different energy. I have been to Kashi, Ujjain and every where u have to stand in queue. A lot of pushing touching, but here people are standing together with families but with pure energy and devotion to "Guru"🙏

The idea that everyone sits together and eats, no matter their background, is really touching. My kids also enjoyed and learned a lot about Sikh culture. If you are visiting Amritsar with family, Sri Harmandir Sahib is a must-visit. It’s not just a religious place, but a place where you feel peace, love, and unity.

I recently visited Kesar Dhaba and tried their stuffed naan thali with chole, dal, curd, and salad. The food was tasty and fulfilling, especially the naan which was well cooked with a nice balance of flavor. The chole was rich and spiced well, giving that authentic dhaba feel. That said, the service was on the slower side, and the ambiance felt quite crowded. Prices are slightly on the higher side compared to regular dhabas, but the portion size was decent enough. Overall, it’s a good place to experience traditional North Indian food, especially if you’re craving naan and chole, but be prepared for some wait time and a busy environment. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3.5/5)

We visited here for lunch and ordered one special thali, dal fry, plain paratha, and rice. The dal was really good (you should taste) rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Luckily, we didn’t have to wait for a table. This is definitely a must visit place in Amritsar, especially to try their famous dal.

First of all, the seating is less with average ambience. Every staff was careless, 3 were sitting on corner tables where customer sits.One staff was standing next to the cashier lady(she might be the owner)and when she got up, he grabbed her chair and started us eating, which looks very weired and non-professional behaviour. The owner lady doesnt have control on her staff and all were careless EXCEPT one lady in uniform, at least she was running the show. Also,observed shortage ot items Lassi which is an all time favorite drink of every north indian. It seems that after the sad demise of the Original Owner, nobody cares about running this famous restaurent. The main part, which is hygeine-- Toilets were dirty,there is water in the Urinal even after having Sensor, used tissues were lying onthe floor instead of dustbin. The floor was wet and water can be seen under the Urinal. There is absolutely careless management who runs this premises very casually like- Ab itna purana naam hai hotel ka to chalana to padega na... I dont know why there is so much hype about this hotel when everybody facing issues. This is my genuine feedback,if anybody want to discuss with me then I will provide my mobile number. Kesar Da Dhaba is located about a 15-minute walk from the Golden Temple, tucked away in narrow lanes of the old city. Finding it can be a bit of a task, especially for first-time visitors, as the approach is quite congested. While the place carries a strong legacy and reputation, it unfortunately seems to be surviving more on its name than on its service or food quality today. The staff seriously lacks basic hospitality and manners — they come across as rude and disinterested, which really takes away from the dining experience. As for the food, it’s average at best. The taste is nothing exceptional — similar to what you’d find at any decent roadside eatery in Amritsar. Their lassi is disappointing and can easily be skipped. One plus point is that the portion sizes are generous — a single thali is enough for two people, making it reasonably good in terms of quantity and value. Overall, it’s a place you can visit once for its historical name, but don’t go expecting an extraordinary experience. There are better and more hospitable options in Amritsar offering equally good — if not better — Punjabi food.

Great lunch thali, quite busy all day long. good portion, daal and chana was delicious. Don't order separate dishes from the thali set. We order shahi paneer, and it was cold as if it was made since morning.

Went there on a friend's recommendation. Amazing food, rich in taste and flavours. Dal and palak paneer was one of the best I've ever eaten. Prices for thali are a bit high as per the portion and service.

People say it's a must if you visit Amritsar, but I found no Dhaba vibes, it's a well maintained resturant. There're some good authentic dhanbad close by, so if you don't want to go with the standard hype, avoid. I should have done that.

Great experience especially on the open rooftop of the double decker bus. That mini road trip would feel wonderful (the return journey from Attari to Amritsar after evening is fabulous). The bus operator Iqbal Singh was pretty cool in handling and managing all the passengers.

The Shaheedi well which itself tells the haunting story of Jallianwala bagh massacre . But after reconstructing it lost its value. Earlier there were above 25 bulletin marks on this wall. Now they just modified it and ruined its true form. The inside walls were painted.. outside walls been extended 😑 actually they ruined the Jallianwala bagh memorial.

Place where the freedom fighters fell into well when there was uninformed firing of bullets . The history says that, freedom fighters thought that ,it was better to die jumping to well and commit suicide than getting killed by the British people. Almost 120 bodies of Martyrs were recovered after the incident.

Beautiful renovation and the light and music show was very informative and intriguing. Must visit and attend the show which starts at 815 pm (Hindi version). Do visit this place before sunset to enjoy the rest of the bagh, as you won't be allowed to move around during the light and music show. And as soon as the show ends, the place is closed and you are asked to exit.

It's an amazing place. A tribute to 1919 jaliawala baag Martyrs. This park is now newly developed there are more gallary area they made in side the park. Where you can see the pictures of the jaliawala baag in those days and story behind it. Previously it has one entrence area and the same area I used for the exit. But no they isolate both now exit area is open up in the market area. Earlier there was no ticket system but looks like in the future they are planning a token system same a metro. Enterance also they chane notify can see the pictures on the walls. More green area and we'll maintained. Seriously I loved this place and it's just walkable distance from the golden temple. And you can cover this within 1 hr.

I recently visited the Partition Museum in Amritsar, and I really liked it. The museum is very informative and gives a deep insight into the history and emotions of the Partition of 1947. The displays, personal stories, and photographs are very moving and beautifully presented. It gives deep sense of emotions when we learn the sacrifices of the innocent made because of few people's greed, stubbornness and unplanned activity. Overall, it’s a must-visit place.

Great place to learn about partition, political scenario that led to it and its aftermath. There is lot of reading needed, wish there was more audio visual treatment. If you have time, do get an audio guide available at rs 100.

It gives goosebumps while going through and getting to know things. 1-1.30 hrs is enough. No photography allowed inside. Ticlets are proced at Rs. 10. The theme is; as the name suggests- partition, what led to the partition and the aftermath! Do visit, it’s near Golden Temple Complex only. Closed on Monday.

I have visited this place with my family earlier(before marriage)and I loved this place , food , staff and atmosphere and price is worth it according to the taste and ambience 💯and then I decided to visit again after marriage with my husband and he also loved the food,taste and ambience . And it highly recommended for picturesque as well because it has the mesmerizing interior in and out . In night it's looking amazing Rang Punjab. Thank you so much for making our lunch delightful yesterday. Really had an amazing experience both of us .

Rang Punjab is located near partition museum. If you want an authentic Amritsar cuisine then you must visit this place. They also have outdoor seating along with variety of stalls of snacks with reasonable prices. The food was rich of flavours and sufficient portion size. Mr. Kashish provided a great service. Lastly the ambience of this place is really good. Overall this place is a must try.

Great pure vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Amritsar. The food here is fingerlicking delicious. The ambiance is creative and beautiful. Thoughtful interiors. Must try classic lassi, dal makhni and paneer bhurji here. The prices are a little on the expensive side but very well manageable. Quantity is good for 3 people.

It's a cozy and comfortable place is Amritsar city range with wide variety of Punjabi food or o would say it's only of its best place for based on sitting arrangement and enjoy food with in the old city of Amritsar. Their stuff are behaved and trained for hospitality!! and it's actually worth visiting though it's not that pocket friendly as compare to other near places in Amritsar but embiance can cover that amount 👍

"Naam bade aur darshan chhote" this quote is for Rang Punjab. Let me start with the good part. 1. Nice seating 2. Good ambience 3. Decent service Well, this place is lil bit on the expensive side. But that is not the problem. The actual problem is the food. We ordered Dal badi Pulav, palak paneer, chai, bun maska, khasta paratha and naan. The pulav looked like it was mixed and served with some old rice which was not sold earlier. The Bun was not fresh. Khasta paratha wasn't great either. Palak paneer was good. Decent chai. Overall it was a huge disappointment. And we paid alot for this kind of food. I dont recommend this place.

Tasted evening chats and taste is average. Aloo tikki is better. Hospitality is not that great. It’s weird to know the restaurant don’t provide water and everyone are forced to buy packed water bottles.

After spending two and a half weeks in India, I wanted to try something different, so I ordered Chinese noodles. They were too salty for my taste, but the owner kindly offered to recook them. The second serving was much better, with less salty. The prices are reasonable, the café is clean, and the staff are friendly.

Gurudas Ram Jalebi is known for its Jalebi and Gulab Jamun. We tried only the Jalebi. it was fresh but on the thicker and less crunchy side; we personally prefer the thin, crispy type. The place isn’t immaculate, and the handwashing area is right next to where the food is prepared, which can be improved. It would be great if the local authorities and shop owners worked together to enhance hygiene, similar to how Indore has developed its street food zones.

They raised there products prices drastically that it has gone out of the hands of middle class families. Otherwise too delicious Jalebhi. Lived upto the expectations, Desi ghee jalebi is crispy and have rich aroma of desi ghee. Gulab jamun is super soft. Worth try if you visit Darbar Sahab. Do not forget to take away other sweets prepared by them. Desi ghee pinni and soan halwa is pure aromatic.

This is located in Fairfield by marriott at Amritsar. The food quality is average or just Above average. We booked from Zomato. There was supposed to be a 35% off on total bill. The restaurant denied it and said that's only on food and not on drinks. Very strange. I complained to zomato they apologized and refunded. But the restaurant staff was not helpful and strange. We ordered a cocktail with olives. There were no green olives in the restaurant. Not marriott standards at all. The veg Platter was good. Dimsums were good. No complains. Atmosphere of the restaurant was good. But service can be improved. The manger did not know about the discount. And says we get very few bookings from zomato.

We had lunch at Kava Grill & Lounge, located inside Fairfield by Marriott, Amritsar, and it was a great experience overall. We ordered Wok Tossed Noodles, Honey Chilli Potato and Fresh Lime Soda. The noodles and honey chilli potato were perfectly cooked with just the right balance of spices, and the fresh lime soda was especially refreshing and tasty. A wonderful showcase of vibrant Punjabi culture and authentic local flavors! The live performances were engaging, and the overall ambiance truly reflected the rich heritage of Punjab. However, it would be great if the management could consider providing an air-conditioned resting area for elderly visitors and families with young children to relax comfortably. Also, while the traditional drink was refreshing, we were expecting lassi as mentioned—but it turned out to be buttermilk. Still, a memorable experience worth visiting!

Very nice place with little activities spread across the area. Food was also good, authentic dishes & taste. The people managing the activities were very warm & welcoming. Definitely worth a visit & aim to spend at least 4-5 hours to fully enjoy the place & participatein the activities (turban & paranda tying, mehndi, popcorn making, makki roti-saag tasting, village cinema, camel rides, etc.)

We visited Sadda Pind on Lohri day this January without realizing most places in Amritsar would be shut — even the Golden Temple had huge crowds. Our auto driver recommended we check out Sadda Pind, and we’re so glad we did! Even though we reached pretty late, the experience was so memorable. A group of aunties were sitting by a bonfire making makki di roti and sarson da saag — we sat with them, chatted, and had one of the coziest meals of our trip. The vibe was so warm and welcoming, even at closing time. We got to explore a few cultural setups, had a full-on tel malish (which was amazing in that freezing weather), and ended the night with a delicious buffet dinner — all-you-can-eat Punjabi food, both veg and non-veg, plus desserts. When we were done, the place was almost shut and we couldn’t find a ride back, but one of the staff kindly helped us get an auto. It was freezing but so much fun. Would definitely recommend visiting for a wholesome and heartwarming experience!

Their are many cultural performances like folk dances, artisan workshop like pottery, weaving and phulkari embroidery. Their are many games for kids, magic show, many photo points. You can enjoy traditional dishes like makke ki roti, sarso ka saag, bajra khichdi. The tickets include food which is based on buffet system, it has good variety in menu. Taste is authentic and all dishes were flavorful. Staff here is very kind, polite, attentive and ever smiling. Overall the property is well maintained and good value for money.

Food is very good,a rich punjabi cuisine. The staff is very polite. They have rooms for accommodation too. But little expensive on that part. I'm not sure if the meals are included. It gives a glimpse of rural life of Punjab in India. Activites are monotonous after a few visits. Good place for children. Sadda Pind, Amritsar is like a traditional live Punjabi village in an area of 12 acres., situated about 8 km from the Golden Temple. The are gives us a taste of authentic Punjabi culture, traditions, food, and lifestyle. There is replica of a rural Punjabi village with mud houses, courtyards, wells, and handicrafts and some magic shows etc. The restaurant has the traditional Punjabi thali, with makki di roti, sarson da saag, lassi, parathas, jalebi, and other traditional dishes served in a dhaba-style restaurant. The restaurant is good with lot of options and the food is very traditional and tasty. Our entry ticket included the food There are also area where we can also dress up in the traditional Punjabi style o Wear a turban and take picture. There are also areas for shopping handicrafts, juttis (Punjabi shoes), phulkari dupattas, souvenirs. We understand there is Heritage style rooms for overnight stays. We enjoyed the visit and it is a visit to Punjab in a capsule. We came here on our trip to Amritsar. It is a large area and to walk around. You should allow for at least three hours of time to fully go through the all areas and take a look at them

Huge space, has 8 galleries each needs 30 mins atleast. You can get a guide and also has a 7D show which we had to miss. Loved our time there, only advise dont underestimate and keep ample time specially if you are history buff. Museum covers wars from Sikh gurus to modern Kargil war and how Sikh regiments have contributed.

Very well maintained and it's nice to have a guide explaining each module and the sword figure is cool. Please avoid 7D show. It's very badly maintained and only first few minutes they explain abt Maharaja Ranjit Singh, next it's hellish with those seats and all the roller coaster video. I was sick after the show.

You’ll need at least one full day to explore this place properly. There are both pros and cons when hiring a guide — the advantage is that you’ll understand the real stories behind the wars and unsung heroes that never made it to print media. The flip side is that most guides tend to rush through, so if you want to spend more time, you’ll have to set that expectation clearly. We had to rush to the Attari Border in the second half, so our guide wrapped up the tour in about 2 hours. The exhibits are interesting, but the show isn’t that impressive — it lacks a proper storyline and flow. They could’ve made it much better with a virtual tour or an interactive presentation covering all four major wars to provide a better context. The museum is co-owned by the Punjab State Government and the Ministry of Defence, and while the concept and structure are excellent, there’s still scope for better storytelling and visitor experience. Overall, a good place to visit if you’re interested in history and war stories — just make sure to plan enough time and get a good guide.

The museum is very very amazing, the statues, the stories worth every bit. But have atleast 4 hours to enjoy it fully. To fully enjoy, have a guide. Our guide was Kritika, she explained everything very well and is a very sweet lady who answers questions very well. Ask for her when you reach Gallery 1 soon after entry. Mesmerised with the Sikh culture, the war stories and the bravery of each and every soldier. 7D theatre is bit Ohkay but can try.

Good place for a few hours visit enroute the border. Tickets are 150 per person, Hire a guide for 100 Rs for detailed information on all 8 galleries. 7D movie is for Rs 50 (movie is for about 10 minutes, and 5 minutes of 7D Roller coster ride)

The awesome place where we get to know about our real heroes. It is here that we realize the great sacrifices our martyrs made for us. Do take your children at least once, so they can learn about the history of Punjab, filled with stories of martyrdom.

It's very calm and peaceful worship place. Related to Shri Guru Arjun Dev ji, The fifth Guru of sikhs. Feeling blessed after visiting this place. Here a well with six 'harts' ( A device wich brings water out from well). By which this place get it's name. very huge community kitchen hall and very tasty food.

This place related to sikhesim. History of this place - Guru Arjan Dev Ji,the fifth Sikh guru,had q large well constructed in this area.The well was so large that it required 6 persian wheels to operate.chheharta got its name from the six wheels,where six chhe (punjabi: ਛੇ) and the persain wheel is called hart (punjabi : ਹਰਟ). The well was now been covered,but its water is still pumped to feed the main tank of the Gurudwara.now developed as industrial township,chheharta falls within the revenue limits of Vadali Guru, a village one km to the south, where guru arjan stayed during 1594-97.

Spiritual place to feel the calm and serene environment. One can feel the positive energy oozing throughout this Holy Place. No problem of parking as there is plenty of space available. It gets crowded on some special occasions. So, on that day its better to plan your visit first before you get stuck in traffic chaos as one has to pass railway crossing before reaching there. I couldn't forget that day where i was stuck on the crossing for at least 3 hours. Hope this never happens to anyone. Anyhow, must go place if you want to feel the presence of God.

If you are in Amritsar then please see this ancient architectural marvel although I am not sure how one can enter this place but it's beautiful. I guess many films have been shot here as well. This Khalsa College spreads around 3 km alongside GT road and appears not to be less than a kings palace.

I'm being honoured to be in this prestigious University/College. Such a grand place. Meet some students and looks very proud of themselves for being member of the univesity. They gave me the most warm welcome. A good place to be for small numbers or single traveller and not for big tour groups as this is a university. Needs to honour their privacy. Place not to be miss while you are in Amritsar.

There are lot of mixed reviews of this place but the place is actually good to dine. The food is fantastic with authentic flavours. Daal Makhni, Paneer, Chhole everything is wonderful. Lachha parathas are very unique and crispy, not eaten anywhere else in the country. Staff is very friendly and serves you really well. Serving time is not long. The desserts however are average and can be avoided. Food here is a must try, specially their thali. Highly Recommended. Located right in vicinity if Golden Temple, you are very likely to love their food.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a very unpleasant experience. While eating, I discovered a black worm on my plate, right in the middle of the food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hygiene and food safety standards of this place. Despite the food being otherwise decent, such a lapse in cleanliness cannot be ignored. It not only ruined the meal but also made me question how the kitchen is being maintained. I hope the management takes immediate action to improve hygiene and ensure this does not happen to anyone else. Customers trust you with their health — don’t take it lightly. We were Greeted immediately as we entered, good first impression, I ordered mutton tikka, jeera rice fresh lime soda salted and sweet, prices and service reasonable. Plenty of choices to order. Chat, veg, Chinese, non veg. They also have nice bar in basement. Overall better experience. I recommend this restaurant. Store manager was on top of everything and was making sure of customers are satisfied. I was visiting from Atlanta. I am leaving tomorrow and thinking of going back for dinner.we ordered Mutton black pepper soup and veg mint soup. Mint soup was delicious.

I was here for a meal after a business meeting. The food was simply AWESOMEEEEEE. We had butter chicken, Dhaal Tadka and Palak Paneer, go with some Naans. Super! Great food, Prem served us great. We had a great experience and highly recommended for anyone to try real North Indian food.

Had an amazing dinner here. Negi was helpful and suggested the signature dishes to us. We tried Peshawari Mutton Chops, Amritsari Fish, Amritsari Kulcha, roti and Murgh Hara Pyaaz and all these dishes were totally worth trying.

This place is clean and you will see many non-Indian tourists. Large menu. The food was good but expensive. My wife's fried shrimp was a generous portion while my Lamb Josh Rogan was rather small. Good choices for alcoholic beverages. The service was good but a little pushy. As others have mentioned, there is a 10% service charge added to the bill so we didn't leave an additional tip. I hope that 10% went to the employees.

To be honest I was quite disappointed with the whole experience. The ticket prices are little high for what they offer. The Bhangra troupe was excellent. Apart from that, everything else was sub par I would say. Especially the hyped 7DX show. I have seen way more immersive and better shows in theme parks. Overall I would say, if you have the time and money to spend and really really want to explore something new, then only visit the place.

The fort is quite good - clean, maintained. They have some activities which can take some time (short movie, a pmpagdi/turban museum & some activities lined through +food & shopping).. Overall ~2 hours (minimum) to peacefully roam around the place.

Visiting Gobindgarh Fort was an exciting blend of history and technology. The 7D show brought the glorious past of Maharaja Ranjit Singh to life in a thrilling way. The museum, live performances, and cultural exhibits made the experience unforgettable. A perfect mix of heritage, entertainment, and pride in Punjab’s rich legacy

A fort of historical significance, but suffers low maintenance and inadequate patronage. There is a Pagdi museum, good Bhangra performance and a 7D movie show on Maharaja Ranjit Singh which would be liked by the Children (different going that the glitches in movie visuals have gotten fixed by now). Tickets cost about 350 per adult and it is recommended to visit in the evening. A battery cart (chargeable) takes visitors from the ticket counter to fort location, which is about a 500m walk otherwise. Though there are eateries, I could not venture to try them.

We really enjoyed visiting this fort. But we were surprised for entrance fee for foreigners 700 INR! Including is 20 min.long 7D movie about Maharaja. It’s very overpriced. At least we made nice photos there.

It's an interesting and huge fort. As foreigners, we paid 250 Indian Rupees per person as entrance fee. There were not a lot of visitors.

If you are in Amritsar and not been to Durgiana Temple made of Oure Gold then you have missed or wasted your visit. One of the oldest temples of Punjab region, beautiful and has a captivating Aura. Very well connected by road with big Parking facility. One can spend time here meditate near its sarovar looking at beautiful idols of Lord Shiva or Vishnu. This is also a Golden Temple which believers must visit if they are in Amritsar.

Visited myself saw so many god idols (Famous Idols and their pilgrims structure) . Recommended place for Family with their children at evening time time

Iam nowhere to review a temple.i visited on 05 oct.Our cab brought me there on the way to wagah border.I felt like the goddess got to know what it was in my heart right before my trip.Thats a different story. But I felt the power of that shaktipeeth.The Vaishno Devi darshan,12 jyotirlinga darshan..Your soul will feel the positive vibes..Do visit if you are in Amritsar.

It is a holy shrine place situated at model town amritsar. It is named after Mata Lal Devi ji. People visit this place as they seek a child from Mata Lal Devi ji. Lal in punjabi means child. Temple is built beautifully specially the Mata Vaishno Devi part. One part of this temple is purely dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi. It has caves, stairs and narrow ridges. It is believed that those who have wished to visit Mata Vaishno Devi temple, but could not visit due to some reasons. They can visit this temple and complete their wish. Although not on tourist's wishlist but this temple is a hidden gem of Amritsar and a must visit place.

This place is nice to have morning and evening walk but not good for the picnic 🧺, because maintanence is not as expected, there are open gyms inside the park, place has 2 entry points and multiple benches to seat. Greenery could be better if try otherwise the park is good for tue regular purpose. You can have morning evening visits.

I had breakfast there. This is very near to golden temple. They serve types of kulchas. I tried paneer kulcha, aloo kulcha and mix kulcha , all were delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're in Amritsar.

We arrived in the morning, a group of five, which included two of my dormitory mates from Australia. We were all eager to dive into some authentic flavors! ​We ordered five plates of Kulcha, sampling a wonderful variety: Mix Kulcha, Paneer Kulcha, Gobi Kulcha, and Aloo Kulcha, along with hot tea. ​Every single Kulcha was absolutely delicious and perfectly spiced! I highly recommend the Paneer Kulcha and the Mix Kulcha—they were definite standouts. The tea was also a comforting, excellent accompaniment to the meal. ​The only minor hiccup in an otherwise perfect morning was that the establishment only accepted cash; unfortunately, they couldn't take UPI payments. ​Overall, it was a truly wonderful and memorable experience—a great shared moment over local street food, even for my mates who were just sharing a dorm!

Loved the Kulchas here, you can get different types of Kulcha like Aloo Pyaz, Paneer, Gobhi, Mix. My go to Kulcha is Aloo Pyaz. Cholle are not too spicy which is great. Service is quick and you can ask for extra Cholle or Chutney too. Dining area is slightly smaller, can accommodate maximum 10-12 people. You can also have tea which is quite good.

I get the hype coz the kulchas are dense, but maybe it’s just me that I found it too much. Too much khada masala. I could easily pick out 50 whole dhaniya and 5-10 kali mirch from just two kulchas. It’s a lot for my liking. May be it is what they offer and people like but was not my taste. Chhole were good. The chutney was too good. I’m still salivating for the chutney. Staff is helpful. The sir at the front desk is sweet. If they can reduce the khada garam masala it’ll be amazing.

I am disappointed to report that my second visit to Ashok Mathi Kulcha was a far cry from the exceptional experience I had during my first visit. Back then, they operated from a rehri, and their mathi (crispy) kulcha was truly delicious. Fast forward to today, and they've shifted to a nearby shop. I was excited to indulge in their signature dish once again, but unfortunately, it failed to impress. The mathi kulcha I ordered was nothing special – the kulcha itself, the filling, and the accompanying chane (chickpeas) were all strictly average. What's more disappointing is that this type of kulcha is readily available at many shops in Amritsar, and Ashok Mathi Kulcha's version didn't stand out in any way. The quality seems to have taken a hit since their relocation, and I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed. Perhaps they were having an off day, but based on this experience, I can only give them 2 stars. If you're craving authentic Amritsari kulchas, you might want to explore other options.

The place is good and the food was awesome. I was on a tour to Amritsar and someone recommended this place and it was really great. They make your kulcha once you give your order. Which is very great, not some ready to eat food. And they serve it hot, with chole and chutney. Loved. Recommended. Cheers.

If you want to experience the best kulchas, then this place should be at the top of your list. As someone from Amritsar, I can confidently say that the crunchy kulchas here are unbeatable. You have to try the mix kulcha with butter on top - it's simply delicious. It's no surprise that this place is a Sunday feast for many families in Amritsar. However, the limited seating area and cramped parking can be a hassle. Despite that, I highly recommend this place for its mouth-watering kulchas. Don't miss it!

Ashok kulche wala situated near lohgarh sahib gurudwara, serves traditional Amritsari kulcha along with cholley and pyaz chutney. Options in stuffing is available and chillies can be added as per the requirement. Unique taste experience.

I was in Amritsar for 2 weeks and visited the place 3 times. Took guests from the US too. The small matthi kulchas are awesome. Just make sure to park your car on the main road and walk to the kulcha place. A Thums Up with the Kulcha is a must. On weekends expect delay of 45 to 90 min to get your kulchas so patience is a must.

Recently tried Ashok Mathii Kulcha in Amritsar, and let me tell you, their kulchas are crispy like mathii and packed with flavor. They were perfect in every sense! The chole and imli ki chutney with pyaz were soooo good. Just a heads up, the kulchas usually sell out by 2 PM, so make sure to visit on time. It's a hidden gem with a nice overall vibe, and they even have seating available. Enjoy your visit! 😋👍

Our family really enjoyed eating here during our visit to Amritsar. Great value for money. My boys loved the pizza, pasta, periperi fries and Manchurian with rice. Food could've been more tastier, but overall Good mix of Indian and western foods. Food also came out very fast.

Bought a sealed box of daal pinni from their shop and opened it to find 2 long hair on top of the sweets. This is not what we pay Rs.800/kg for. Basic quality check is missing.

If you're here in Amritsar or their excellent full Punjabi breakfast ,do try their packed pinni, panjiri, doda and motichoor laddos all made in desi ghee and all keep well if you're travelling. Extra points for the huge quantities of dry fruits and quality ingredients in their pinni and panjiri. A must for all those who want to carrythe sweets of Amritsar back to their respective homes.

Extremely disappointed. Bought 4 boxes of sweets from your outlet expecting top quality to Odisha as heard of your name a lot.but shockingly found two hairs in the box. Hygiene is non-negotiable, especially when it comes to food. This is unacceptable.Hope you take this seriously and ensure strict quality control going forward.Have seen reviews of your customer mentioning the same issue. Very poor packaging. Sweets of the place are good because of which the brand name is alive. The staff didn’t explain to us properly about the difference in sweets and namkeen and their names. It was our first visit to Punjab and we needed guidance. The packaging is very poor. THE MATHRI BOXES SPILT OPEN IN MY SUITCASE ruining the clothes as well as the mathri. Moreover, the mathri is very thick. I needed to go to another sweet shop to get freshly made mathri for taking to Gujarat. Would recommend going to a small halwai instead of these giants charging exorbitantly for such quality of packaging and taste.

They are just making money out of their name, recently bought kaju katli on diwali and it was a scam. There was no taste of cashew nut , merely bland in taste. Poor quality of sweets. Local nearby shops have better kaju katli than bansal sweets. Really poor quality
