Dhaba
Vegetarian restaurant
Kesar Da Dhaba is a long-standing eatery located near the iconic Golden Temple in Amritsar. It is renowned for its rich and aromatic Punjabi thalis served in an old-fashioned setting. The menu features classic dishes like Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka, and Stuffed Paranthas prepared using authentic recipes passed down through generations and enriched with pure desi ghee.
Ordered special thali and I was not able to finish even half of it 🥺, they packed my half of the thali. Food is really delicious and phirni is must try. You can reach by walking, bike or toto/rickshaw. Cars cannot reach as it is located in a narrow street. Place is worth visiting if you want to try Punjabi dishes at its best.
Aamir H — Google review
I recently visited Kesar Dhaba and tried their stuffed naan thali with chole, dal, curd, and salad. The food was tasty and fulfilling, especially the naan which was well cooked with a nice balance of flavor. The chole was rich and spiced well, giving that authentic dhaba feel. That said, the service was on the slower side, and the ambiance felt quite crowded. Prices are slightly on the higher side compared to regular dhabas, but the portion size was decent enough. Overall, it’s a good place to experience traditional North Indian food, especially if you’re craving naan and chole, but be prepared for some wait time and a busy environment. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3.5/5)
Ajay M — Google review
We visited here for lunch and ordered one special thali, dal fry, plain paratha, and rice. The dal was really good (you should taste) rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Luckily, we didn’t have to wait for a table. This is definitely a must visit place in Amritsar, especially to try their famous dal.
Santhosh B — Google review
First of all, the seating is less with average ambience. Every staff was careless, 3 were sitting on corner tables where customer sits. One staff was standing next to the cashier lady(she might be the owner)and when she got up, he grabbed her chair and started us eating, which looks very weired and non-professional behaviour. The owner lady doesnt have control on her staff and all were careless EXCEPT one lady in uniform, at least she was running the show. Also, observed shortage ot items Lassi which is an all time favorite drink of every north indian. It seems that after the sad demise of the Original Owner, nobody cares about running this famous restaurent. The main part, which is hygeine-- Toilets were dirty, there is water in the Urinal even after having Sensor, used tissues were lying onthe floor instead of dustbin. The floor was wet and water can be seen under the Urinal. There is absolutely careless management who runs this premises very casually like- Ab itna purana naam hai hotel ka to chalana to padega na... I dont know why there is so much hype about this hotel when everybody facing issues. This is my genuine feedback,if anybody want to discuss with me then I will provide my mobile number. The Alloo Paratha,Ghee Roti,Boondi Raita were good. The Kadhai Paneer,Daal Tadka were average. Regards Akhhil Sharmma
Akhhil S — Google review
Food was average, but the desserts were amazing especially the phirni and Rasmalai (must must try). The restaurant had a very long waiting line, it takes almost 15-30 mins to get seated, after that the service is very fast.
Ishita K — Google review
If you’re visiting Amritsar, Kesar Da Dhaba is an absolute must-try for traditional Punjabi food. Their parathas and laccha naan are exceptionally tasty and full of authentic flavor. The service is quick and courteous, and the staff ensures a pleasant dining experience. The seating arrangement is decent, though the interior is quite basic and could be improved. The dhaba is located in a very crowded area, which makes it difficult to reach with a self-drive car — it’s best to park outside and take a rickshaw or tuk-tuk to get there. Overall, it’s a legendary spot for food lovers who want to experience true Amritsari flavors. Highly recommended! 🍽️
Prince I — Google review
Best parathas I’ve ever had! Just perfect! The service was also exceptional. Our waitress served us with so much love.
Palash J — Google review
Loved everything about it. Chose the original seating area for the authenticity of the atmosphere. Food was soooo good!!! Almost missed the phirnis (was a bit heartbroken) but the staff miraculously brought two last plates of it. #fullOfGratitude I know this place does not require it but I highly recommend it.

Gurdass Ram Jalebian Wala is a renowned establishment in Amritsar, known for its heavenly hot jalebis fried to perfection in pure ghee. The jalebis are freshly made right in front of you, ensuring maximum freshness and flavor. This small shop, located near the Golden Temple, offers an enchanting culinary experience with its traditional jalebi-making process that has remained unchanged over the years.
Tucked away in the vibrant lanes near the Golden Temple, Gurdasram Jalebi Wale is not just a sweet shop—it’s a legacy. For decades, this iconic corner of Amritsar has been delighting visitors with the kind of rich, nostalgic taste that only time-honored recipes and unwavering passion can deliver. Despite the humble setup—where you stand and relish your snacks on the spot—the experience is anything but ordinary. The jalebis, golden and glistening, strike a perfect balance between crispness and syrupy indulgence. Each bite bursts with flavor, delivering a warmth that feels handcrafted and soulful. Their gulab jamuns are equally divine—soft, melt-in-the-mouth spheres soaked in just the right amount of sweetness, without ever feeling overpowering. The texture, the aroma, and the taste all reflect a deep-rooted commitment to quality that has stood the test of time. Whether you’re a local or a traveler seeking an authentic culinary moment near the Golden Temple, Gurdasram is a must-visit. It’s more than just a sweet stop—it’s a celebration of Amritsar’s rich food heritage, served one impeccable bite at a time.
Sahil C — Google review
Gurudas Ram Jalebi is known for its Jalebi and Gulab Jamun. We tried only the Jalebi. it was fresh but on the thicker and less crunchy side; we personally prefer the thin, crispy type. The place isn’t immaculate, and the handwashing area is right next to where the food is prepared, which can be improved. It would be great if the local authorities and shop owners worked together to enhance hygiene, similar to how Indore has developed its street food zones.
Santhosh B — Google review
Had Gulab Jamun ! Sooper. And the ambience of the street and crowd. Chats from the historic Golden Temple. Experience was mesmeric and cherished for ever !!
Anoop M — Google review
No doubts...There Jalebi is yummy in the region but at the end of the Day, it's cheat day when you have it. They raised there products prices drastically that it has gone out of the hands of middle class families. Otherwise too delicious Jalebhi. If you have 100rs and you looking for Sweet, try their Jalebhi.
Rahul A — Google review
Just had the most delicious jalebi! 😋 The perfect blend of crispy exterior and syrupy sweetness. Highly recommend! 👍 5/5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sumith P — Google review
One of my favourite places in Amritsar. What a taste of Jalebi. Also you can try Gulab jamun. Its so yummy.you can't stop eating only one.Must visit this place if you are in Amritsar.
Rahul N — Google review
Ladies and gentlemen, if you are coming to Amritsar you have to try Gurdass ki jalebi. It's 10 out of 10. If you want more , they have the gulab jamun as well..
Deepak K — Google review
If you’re walking through the old lanes of Amritsar, don’t miss this tiny shop. It doesn’t look fancy, but the jalebis here are amazing. When we went there, it wasn’t crowded, and we only waited five minutes while they made them fresh. The jalebis are — crispy, sweet, and super hot. We shared one portion, and that was enough for two because it’s really sweet. You have to eat it right away, standing on the street, since there’s no seating. They sell other snacks too, but the jalebi is the star. It’s a must-try if you love sweets!

Bharawan Da Dhaba, located in Amritsar, India, is a bustling eatery known for its authentic Punjabi cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes such as spicy chickpeas, black lentils, mustard greens, and yogurt curry served with lachedar parantha fresh from the tandoor clay oven. Visitors shouldn't miss the opportunity to try Makki Di Roti & Sarson Da Saag, a popular Punjabi specialty.
Bharawan da dhabha very famous in Amritsar next to Brothers dhabha actually in previous they are one now last year's they seperate. Kulcha aloo and spl paneer kuclha are very tasty and delicious special sweet lassi actually very meethi and tasty, crowded place and large dining area
MANMOHAN S — Google review
Delicious and authentic food. Not like what they serve in every other states. Good quality and quantity. Lassi was good too. Aloo stuffed kulcha was a treat for the taste buds.
RUTVIK D — Google review
Visited Bharawan Da Dhaba for lunch and had a great experience. The place is located right in front of the Partition Museum and truly feels like one of the vintage, iconic spots in Amritsar. We ordered chur chur naan and kulcha, both of which were absolutely delicious — crispy, flavourful, and perfectly made. The only thing that could be improved is the chutney, which felt like it could have had a richer taste to match the amazing food. Overall, a must-visit place for authentic Amritsari flavours!
Vivek S — Google review
Tried Paneer Butter Masala, Laccha Paratha, and Garlic Naan at Bharawan da Dhaba, and the taste was truly authentic Punjabi—rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The place is quite popular, so expect crowds and some waiting time. Service was average, but the food makes it worth the visit.
Gurinder S — Google review
Food is nice and tasty. Love the Phirni from here. Always crowded. The food is served fresh and it tastes authentic. Delivery is always prompt. Good eatery

Went in on a weekday, ample indoor seating available. Service is fast and food is delicious! This is not an AC restaurant, indoor ambience is comfortable with plenty of fans. Washrooms are under construction and unhygienic. Overall, loved the food and recommend for it.

I had aloo kulcha thali (2 kulcha, chana, raita, chutney) for 280 rs. it was tasty 10/10. price seems overpriced but they have nice sitting area.also serves kulcha after 4 pm

Kanha Sweets is a renowned establishment near the Golden Temple in Amritsar, offering a wide range of traditional Indian sweets and savory snacks. Their Puri Chole, served with spicy pickles and mint chutney, is a local favorite. Visitors can also enjoy their delectable Halwa or choose from an assortment of delicious sweets like Kaju Katli, Pinni, and Motichoor Ladoo.
Very delicious Aloo- Chole- Puri. Brunch/ Lunch or even suggested for breakfast. Garma garam puri is served.
RUTVIK D — Google review
Waiting can be of upto 15mins depending on the rush. We went for saturday brunch. chole were nice but not upto the mark. Pooris were absolutely amazing. Aloo ki sabji was sweet and didnt like it at all. Halwa was nice and something different. Lassi was also great. Sabjis were refillable without any charges and after 2 pooris, each poori cost 60 each.
Shwetank K — Google review
So went in Kanha sweets to have their much hyped poori bhaji and chole. Poori were hot and fresh. Chole were average in taste. The alloo kalaunji bhaji was sweet and tangy, I personally didn't like too much sweetness but it depends on person to person and you can decide. Lassi was very good in taste and it was not very sweet. Just perfect. If you group of max 8 ppl then it should be okay, more then that then probably you have to sit separately. Service is quick and fast. Staff is attentive and polite. Prices are reasonable as per portion and quality. You may have to wait for 30 to 45 mins if you visit on weekends or public holidays. Parking is bit of a hassle. Overall it was mix experience as the hype of not worth.
Nikhil P — Google review
My experience was excellent. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, but the standout dishes were definitely the aloo sabzi with poori chholey. The combination was flavorful and satisfying. The halwa also deserves a special mention – it was unique and incredibly tasty. A highly recommended spot for a satisfying meal!
Rashika S — Google review
There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful this place's poori is. If you are ever in Amritsar, you must not miss this place. Given the quality of their food, the prices are reasonable and the space is adequate. Also, the location is highly accessible. Must visit..!
Shreya A — Google review
Amritsars’s favourite breakfast place. Poori platter is the go-to for everyone here. They serve you a plate with salad Chole and Aloo sabzi which is sweet in taste. And then they serve you poori hot and fresh as they come. Do try halwa and gulab jamun after the poori breakfast. Sweets are to die for 😍
Rahul M — Google review
Food is good, especially the poori plate....but nothing outstanding, except for the tangy potato sabzi, which I haven't had anywhere else. Clean seating area, basic furniture. Do visit once for a taste.
Devendra M — Google review
Good dessert shop, I think I just don’t really like desserts here in India because most of them tasted the same. It’s very sweet, you feel the sugar under your teeth. The ones with nuts are better, more interesting than the ones that just have mostly sugar and oils. The staff didn’t know what to recommend us, and since we didn’t know about any of them we just picked randomly. They also added one more to make it to 250g. So we paid more because of that.

A One Kulfa, located in Crystal Chowk, INA Colony, offers a delightful dessert experience with its signature dish. This Amritsari take on kulfi features layers of phirni rice pudding topped with scoops of falooda and kulfi, finished with rose water and rabri. The combination creates a rich and creamy texture that is perfect for cooling off during hot summer days.
Tried Kulfa here and it was absolutely amazing! A perfect blend of sweetness, creaminess, and refreshing flavors. Definitely a must-try dessert that leaves you satisfied till the last bite
Harshal S — Google review
Kulfa was absolutely delicious. It was prepared with falooda, ice cream, rabdi and crushed ice, the flavors were rich and creamy. The only downside was the heavy crowd, which made the experience a bit rushed, and the price felt slightly on the higher side. But overall, it's worth trying if you're a kulfa lover. Just be prepared for some waiting time during peak hours.
Nirbhay T — Google review
Visited the place after nearly five years, the taste was same, servings same, sad that the owner passed away and his childern have taken over, and was please see to them doing so well, the good additon was that place for sitting has increased, had their regulat kulfa and phrini , enjoyed both, Will again recommend visiting to anyone visiting Amristar. There are plenty of Kulfi Faluda makers across India, but this one is a stand out. We were a group of 8 and everyone was raving about their kulfi faluda right from the time they had their first bite. This one certainly has repeat value!!!
GAURAV M — Google review
In summers this is my almost every other night dessert. The kulfa i amazing, my whole family loves it. After dinner we would drive their and have it. You can order in car they will bring it you. Weekends they are very busy could take some time to get it but usually not very busy however the road is full with cars waiting for kulfa. Service is quick and kulfa is 💯 delicious, creamy 😋

The best Kulfa Ever. My kids are this for the first time and they loved it. They loved it so much, that we end up eating two bowls each. This is one of the place you must visit when in Amritsar, we tired many different kulfis and Nothing beats the one they sell here. This has now become our first stop and last stop in Amritsar. Sorry, it was so good we only had pics of empty plates!!!
Vishal — Google review
Amritsar has many small hidden gem kinds of eateries. And this is one among them. Based on the recommendation from Google I decided to visit this place in the evening. The ambience of the place is pretty basic. The food preparation area is located at the entrance and the dining area is located inside. They have decent seating capacity with 5-6 tables. Nothing much in terms of decor. The service is very quick and welcoming. I was greeted well and suggested to go with Special Kulfa as I acknowledged that I'm trying it for the first time. The dessert was served quickly. The Special Kulfa was unique and I have not tried anything like this before. Sweetness was well balanced as per my liking. It's a mixture of Kulfi, malai, icecream & samiya. A small bowl was so heavy on my tummy that I had to skip dinner on that day. So, if you are trying it for the first time, be ready for a lazy day. The hygiene factor is satisfactory in the whole restaurant. They accept UPI payments. Overall, I really liked this unique desert for its balanced sweetness and quality dairy ingredients. Highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth. -BeingBakasura

- Puri choley is fine (Nothing like Wow!) - Good thing is use of spices is moderate - I tried lassi (it is also fine) - Service is good. Staff is nice and polite - Rate of menu is fine - They levied service charge. That is optional - You have to park on the footpath - Overall average experience nothing great

I always have Dahi Bhalla here. They are just best. Sweets are a bit overpriced and I'm not sure if they make it in pure ghee. So, never tried their sweets.
Sushant K — Google review
My last visit to this restaurant was a bit disappointing. Although they have an extensive and impressive menu, the food served did not meet my expectations in terms of taste and quality. I also noticed that the cutlery was not cleaned properly, which affected the overall dining experience. However, the ambience of the place is quite decent and pleasant. I hope they work on improving the food quality and hygiene, as the restaurant has good potential.
Sanjana S — Google review
I’m extremely disappointed with the experience. I received a call from one of your agent "Ria" who misled me into making a purchase under false information. The details provided during the call were completely different from what I received after the transaction. This feels like a clear case of fraudulent selling, and it’s completely unacceptable. Later, I found out it was a scam. There was no support or accountability from the Novelty platform. This has completely broken my trust in Novelty online shopping through this site. Its my last shopping with Novelty Sweets.
Radha M — Google review
I visited Novelty thinking it was a pure veg and clean restaurant. I ordered a paneer dosa and to my shock I found a big hair inside it on my very first few bites. I complained politely and the waitress apologized and replaced it. However, when I ordered the same dish again I found hair again in the dosa. I complained once more still politely but by then I had lost my appetite. I had been traveling all day, hadn’t eaten for 8–9 hours and was extremely hungry but after this experience I felt nauseous and disgusted. I decided not to order food anymore and just asked for a cup of coffee. Instead of showing true concern or offering compensation they even overcharged me for the coffee. The only positive I noticed was that the washrooms were clean but the food hygiene was unacceptable. Finding hair in my food twice is shocking and disappointing especially in Amritsar near the Golden Temple where people expect a higher standard of cleanliness and trust in pure veg restaurants. What if I hadn’t noticed and accidentally eaten it? Hygiene is non-negotiable and this experience was highly disappointing. I will never ever visit this restaurant again. I absolutely hate it. This is very bad and far below even basic standards. Highly unhygienic, highly irresponsible and a complete waste of money. Overall: I do not recommend Novelty for food.

A plate is 2 bedmi puris (light-lentil-and-spice-mix-stuffed, whole wheat dough) or 2 Bhaturas (fermented refined flour dough). Recommend anyone who’s visiting Amritsar to ditch their hotel breakfast and enjoy this experience. Breakfast for 4 is typically under INR 1200 or about USD 15!

Bought a sealed box of daal pinni from their shop and opened it to find 2 long hair on top of the sweets. This is not what we pay Rs.800/kg for. Basic quality check is missing.
Ankur K — Google review
If you're here in Amritsar or their excellent full Punjabi breakfast ,do try their packed pinni, panjiri, doda and motichoor laddos all made in desi ghee and all keep well if you're travelling. Extra points for the huge quantities of dry fruits and quality ingredients in their pinni and panjiri. A must for all those who want to carrythe sweets of Amritsar back to their respective homes.

Extremely disappointed. Bought 4 boxes of sweets from your outlet expecting top quality to Odisha as heard of your name a lot.but shockingly found two hairs in the box. Hygiene is non-negotiable, especially when it comes to food. This is unacceptable.Hope you take this seriously and ensure strict quality control going forward.Have seen reviews of your customer mentioning the same issue. Would never ever visit Delhi or Amritsar branch any more.
Taranjeet W — Google review
Very poor packaging. Sweets of the place are good because of which the brand name is alive. The staff didn’t explain to us properly about the difference in sweets and namkeen and their names. It was our first visit to Punjab and we needed guidance. The packaging is very poor. THE MATHRI BOXES SPILT OPEN IN MY SUITCASE ruining the clothes as well as the mathri. Moreover, the mathri is very thick. I needed to go to another sweet shop to get freshly made mathri for taking to Gujarat. Would recommend going to a small halwai instead of these giants charging exorbitantly for such quality of packaging and taste.
Arya P — Google review
Bansal Sweets is widely appreciated for its authentic North Indian mithai (sweets), especially made in pure desi ghee. Many customers find its classics — motichoor ladoo, patisa, pinni — excellent in taste. However, there are also recurring concerns around price, service, and occasional quality lapses. On balance, for sweet lovers, Bansal delivers quite well, though it might not always live up to its full reputation.
Basant K — Google review
They are just making money out of their name, recently bought kaju katli on diwali and it was a scam. There was no taste of cashew nut , merely bland in taste. Poor quality of sweets. Local nearby shops have better kaju katli than bansal sweets. Really poor quality

If you're in Amritsar and have a sweet tooth, Bombay Kulfi is an absolute must-visit! This charming spot, located near the Golden Temple on heritage street, offers a delightful twist on traditional ice cream with its rich and creamy kulfis. Made from slow-cooked milk infused with natural flavors like malai, pista, mango, and kesar-badam, each bite is a nostalgic journey back to those roadside treats we all love.
A must visit ice cream parlor in Amritsar right beside the Golden Temple complex (on the heritage street). Taste the richness of real fruits and natural flavors of the ice cream and kulfies at Bombay Fulfi Amritsar. One of my favorites and a must have - Guava with chilly gives you the exact flavor of Guava but with an Ice-Cream touch. I just loved it and you will too, just try it ones. And another favorite was Oreo Natural Flavored Ice Cream, just loved these two. Definitely worth visiting.

AMRITSAR finally has exclusive kulfi joint 👍 they have a wide variety of new innovative flavours , good quality & hygienic. It tastes authentic & it is a mix of both traditional & new flavours 😋😋 there r some sugar free varieties available too ❤️ CHILLI 🌶 GUAVA 🍈flavour is to die for ... highly recommended 👍

A venture that started a few year back.. this outlet provides the best Kulfis in Amritsar !!... So whenever one has a craving for an Ice cream..I recommend to try this for authentic Bombay Kulfi! Amazing place and Awesome Kulfis 😊.
Capt A — Google review
This small place has variety of kulfis on offer. I have tried 4 in one kulfi and it was awesome. They also have small corner space to sit and enjoy your kulfi. Kulfi is also offered in various forms like flat Kulfi, sliced kulfi and regular ones. Owner is talkative and provides you with all the information required on the product. Nice experience overall.
Hemanth S — Google review
When it comes to ice creams and kulfi I am quite sceptical about their ingredients. This brand ensured that no vegetable oil and preservatives are being used in its kulfies. It was hatke. Give it a try.
TraVeLAsTic — Google review
When it comes to summers, nothing is better than kulfis and icecreams. Bombay Kulfi Amritsar serves the purest and most tasty kulfis in the town. We're two people and tried a few or their flavours like kesar pista (kulfi slice), gauva chilli (kulfi slice), rangeela (kulfi stick), choco malayi (kulfi stick) and mango (kulfi stick). Each one of them was better than the other. Talking individually about the flavours, my favourite turned out to be the gauva chilli flavour. The most unique concept about this kulfi is not only that it tastes exactly like a fresh gauva but that they sprinkle chilli over the kulfi which makes it even more delicious. Every single bite tastes exactly like the fresh fruit. The kesar pista and kesar malayi kulfi slices available here are really creamy. You can live the flavours as the kulfi melts in your mouth. The way they cut the slice into pieces is really neat, clean and quite satisfying. Every kulfi slice comes packed. They cut open the packet right in front of you so that the customer has no complaints left. Coming to the rangeela kulfi. As the name suggests, the kulfi is multi coloured and multi flavoured. Moving from top to bottom, the kulfi has four colours - 1. Orange (Orange flavoured) 2. Green (Pista flavoured) 3. Yellow (Butterscotch flavored) 4. Purple (Blackcurrant flavored) A really good option for people who can't decide what to choose from such a vast menu. Lastly talking about the choco malayi and mango kulfi. Choco malayi is just a malayi kulfi dipped in chocolate, a great dessert for people who love chocolates. The mango kulfi was a complete supplement to my after-meal mango cravings. Also, you can get any kulfi layered in chocolate on a special request. With a price range of Rs. 45-75, not only this place is pocket friendly but definitely worth pampering your taste buds. The place is located near golden temple and is definitely worth your money.
Kanav B — Google review
One of the best place in Amritsar to eat Kulfi. Manzoor (Employ of Bombay Kulfi) gave us their best kulfi Guava Chilly.
Karandeep B — Google review
Bombay Kulfi is an ice cream heaven and the GO-TO place if you are in Amritsar, the brand is legendary and speaks for itself. Recently happened to taste their delectable Chili Guava at a party ( Wow ,yes , they cater to parties too, check out their website now!) and it just left me wanting more and more. Such reasonable prices for the most amazing quality, variety and service. They are doing some delightful traditional flavors to suit the desi taste buds(PAAAAAAN , Gulaaab , Rajbhog just to name a few) and a couple others that can conquer any sweet tooth (Red Velvet Cheese Cake, Oreo, Mixed Berries and the list is endless). Super looking forward to visiting the store soon :)

If you find yourself wandering the vibrant streets of Amritsar, make sure to stop by Rana Fruit Cream & Juice Bar for a truly delightful experience. This charming spot specializes in Fruit Cream, a light and refreshing dessert that combines fresh fruits, creamy goodness, and crunchy nuts. It's the perfect indulgence to satisfy your sweet cravings without weighing you down. During my recent visit with family, I was blown away by how delicious their offerings were!

Good in taste and fresh. The fruit cream is partly frozen but has fresh taste still. Very popular at the Lohgarh road. Many similar places around but this one look more popular. Reasonably priced must try night dessert.

Hello friends, I went to this shop with my friend this evening. We ordered a fruit ice cream here. The barley was not eaten by us. The cream in that ice cream was very hard. And the ice on the fruit was very frozen. Barley did not taste tasty at all. Thanks for reading my review.

Such a tasteful dessert, better than most ice cream places I have ever been to (though it is frozen cream with fruits)

The evergreen concept of fruit jelly with ice cream takes a new high as the dryfruit rich ice-cream is generously topped up with big jelly cubes. This colourful and delicious Fruit cream also has few fresh fruits to give a surprising twist. One weighed serving costs 100/- per large cup and 50/- for small. If you love ice creams, then go for the big one.

Ghar Di Rasoi, also known as Home Made Food Tea Point in Amritsar, is a simple and basic eatery located within walking distance from many hotels. The place offers a variety of homestyle comfort food including special Paneer Parantha and Aaloo Parantha. The parathas are made upstairs in the owner's home by his wife and delivered using a unique method involving a bucket and rope.
Visited this place after seeing reviews on Google, was greeted warmly by Mr. Kohli. There are many other famous places in Amritsar for Kulcha, Lassi but what you get here cannot be compared with anything. Have tasted everything that was on menu. 1. Sarso da Saag with Makke di Roti Saag is prepared in authentic manner. Washing process itself takes 2.5 hours and it is with this care the taste is curated. Makkai is from Kashmir hence the makke ki roti is white in colour. Taste is exceptional as compared to yellow makke di roti. 2. Paneer Bhurji: Creamy, light and yet the flavour of organic paneer is delightful. 3. Aloo da Paratha : slow cooked on tawa along with desi ghee. It's the best you can get around this place. 4. Dal, Chatpate Aloo: It's homely, you can never have enough of this. All things are prepared in home environment hence order usually takes little more time. But the organic materials, freshly prepared order, and served with love and respect. This things you can't get anywhere else other than holy land of Sri Amritsar. A must visit place in the city. They offer parcel service too. So you can have the taster even after leaving this enchanting land. God bless this family 🙏

Had a wonderful breakfast at Ghar di Rasaoi! The paranthas were fresh, flavorful, and made with a 'home-cooked' touch. The setting was simple but comfortable, A perfect spot for a healthy and satisfying meal that tastes just like home!"
Fouqia W — Google review
The food was okay. I had the allo paratha, which was good — not too oily, but also not very flavorful. The portion size was decent, and the price was little high ( 160/- per plate of paratha) Service was slow and the staff seemed disinterested didn’t have even a menu( you have to ask for each and every thing). Overall, it’s fine for a quick bite if you’re nearby, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again unless there is improvement of some basic things.
Prashant K — Google review
I recently visited Ghar Do Rasoi, and I must say, it's a hidden gem for anyone who loves homestyle comfort food. The Aloo Paratha and Maggie here are simply outstanding. Aloo Paratha: The Aloo Paratha was perfection on a plate. The parathas were crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of ghee, and the stuffing was seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavors, reminding me of the parathas my mom used to make. Paired with their fresh curd and a tangy pickle, it was a delightful experience. Maggie: Their Maggie is a must-try as well. It’s simple, yet so comforting. Cooked just right, with a blend of spices that gives it a unique taste, this dish is perfect for those who want something quick, tasty, and satisfying. Overall, Ghar Do Rasoi brings the taste of home-cooked food to the table. Whether you're craving a hearty Aloo Paratha or a bowl of delicious Maggie, this place won't disappoint!
Rajeev V — Google review
I found Ghar di Rasoi searching on-line for a place for breakfast. Even better- it was walking distance from our hotel. The place is very simple and basic. Open to street on one side. No air conditioning or anything fancy. We were greeted by the owner. He explained the choices on offer. We ordered two types of paranthas. He explained that they are made upstairs - in his own home - by his wife. When the food was ready, it was delivered in a bucket using a rope, hanging down! The food was simple but fresh and delicious. Very satisfying.

Nestled in the heart of Amritsar, Divine Chocolate Factory is a delightful café that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. This charming spot is perfect for those who love to indulge in delicious food and drinks without any pretense. During my visit, I savored a variety of dishes starting with their homemade cheese and dips, followed by fresh salads and sushi. The raw papaya salad was particularly outstanding! To quench our thirst, we enjoyed an Oreo shake and a refreshing lime-mint cooler.
Divine Chocolate Factory is a real gem of a place in Amritsar. We happen to be there for lunch. It is a cute little cafe offering delicious food, drinks and mouth watering desserts. We started with some cheese & dips (all made at the cafe). We moved on to some salads and sushi along with an oreo shake for my daughter and lime and mint cooler for me. The raw papaya salad there is to die for. We also tried some Chinese main course, again everything had the perfect taste and flavour. And now the desserts, we tried the mango cake, toffee cake, brownies and cake pops. I have never been a dessert eater but believe me I just loved the cakes there especially the toffee cake. It was soft moist and tasted delicious along with chocolate caramel. We also took a freshly baked whole wheat multigrain bread along with us. I’ve never had a bread this tasty. This was the best meal I’ve had in ages. All the best to DCF team. Keep it up!

Blues Bakers is a fantastic bakery located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. I've been there a few times and I have to say, their baked goods are absolutely delicious! Changed my rating from 4 star to 1 after a bitter experience. When I reached the outlet, the cake was not to be found for at least 15 minutes. When they “found it”, i was given the reason that the delay was due to the icing being done for the name. Strangely enough, they only use the icing on pre-printed plate for birthdays. After the cake finally arrived, it was close to half hour of waiting. I was given a “brown” cake - which was originally meant to be a Red Velvet cake. Not only was the colour weirdly weird, the finishing of the cake was not up to the mark. Compared to the less expensive cakes already in display, this had unfinished edges, uneven colour tone. I ended up picking a cake off the shelf instead since the look of it matched the label (lol) : a Blueberry cake. Knowing how good the bakery is, I expected honest approach from the start, regarding the delay and the whole experience thereafter.

The place is quite good. Once you enter you can already smell a lot of delicious food. It's famous for its bakery items. Cookies and tea cakes are always in demand over here. The variety of cookies is wayyyyyyy more than you can think. Gifting options are also available here. Other than this we have tried their panner tikka bun and pizza- which is okayish in taste. Not so great at the price of 120. Coffee is priced at 70 rupees but won't be worth. Also find a lot of chocolates, pastries, cake different variety of snacks and chips

This kind of service they provide to customers. Actually i order cake red valvet. Its not even look like red valvet. Other than that cake was not even packed properly. Its got damaged till it reach to right hands. So disappointed never gonna order again from this place. We was regular customers

I don’t have words to describe how good the sweets are. I never eat from shops and I normally don’t even like Indian sweets that much but these ones were literally mind blowing. Complete change of perception for me. I hope they extended with same quality to other places. I actually went there for the lassi which was also great, and luckily decided to try some of their other stuff.

A Must-Try Delight! I recently ordered the mixed pickle (garlic, ginger, and chilly) and it completely exceeded my expectations! The taste was absolutely amazing – bold, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every bite was mouth-watering and reminded me of the authentic, homemade achar we grew up with. The spices were just right, and the texture was spot-on. It paired perfectly with my meals and even made simple dishes taste extraordinary. If you’re someone who loves traditional Indian flavors, this achaar is a must-try!

Useless biscuits, crispiness is missing & far far away so it’s now only name no quality standard and if you complaint about quality they don’t bother about it so better to buy from more reputed bakeries than Bansal.

Went with kids for the first time thinking shop looks nice, neat and clean but their cakes are dry not moist and fruit pudding was below than average for the price they are charging. Chocolate shakes were only item were good. Up on paying I gave them feedback and they were like because “it’s eggless that’s why it’s dry” They should try eggless cake from some better bakery so they know it shouldn’t be like that. Items are expensive but lacking in taste. Will not go again nor recommend to anyone. Total rip off.

If you're in Amritsar, don't miss out on the famous Thakur Gian Chand Milk Bhandar (GIAN DI LASSI) for a taste of their heavenly peda lassi. The lassi is made from scratch and served fresh, giving it an authentic and fulfilling flavor. This place also offers delicious peda and burfi. Unlike other fancy lassi places, here you'll get the real deal without compromising on taste or quality.
If you’re visiting Amritsar and don’t stop by Giani Lassi, you’re seriously missing out on one of the city’s most legendary experiences. Located in the heart of the bustling old town, Giani Lassi is not just a lassi shop – it’s an institution. Their lassi is thick, creamy, and perfectly sweet, topped with a generous dollop of malai (cream) that makes every sip a delight. It’s served in traditional steel glasses, keeping it cool even in the Punjab heat. Despite the long queues, service is quick and the staff know how to handle the rush without compromising on quality. The ambiance is simple, but the atmosphere is always buzzing with locals and tourists alike. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality and reputation. Whether you’re visiting the Golden Temple or wandering the old markets, make sure to stop at Giani Lassi. It’s refreshing, satisfying, and a truly authentic taste of Amritsar. ✅ Must-Try: Sweet Lassi with Malai 📍 Location: Near Regent Cinema, Katra Sher Singh, Amritsar 💰 Price: Very affordable 🕒 Tip: Best enjoyed fresh on the spot, especially in the morning or afternoon
Farleen S — Google review
ABSOLUTE MUST-TRY for Lassi lovers! We visited Gian Di Lassi in Amritsar and it was a game-changer! The Lassi was the best I've ever had - perfect balance of sweetness, richness, and the malai on top was TO DIE FOR! Authenticity is key, so be sure to visit the genuine store (there are many fake ones nearby). If you're in Amritsar, do NOT miss this spot! The experience is truly out of the world. Highly recommend Gian Di Lassi for an unforgettable taste of the best Lassi you'll ever have!
Salman N — Google review
A charming, decades-old shop that perfectly captures the taste of tradition. Their big glass of lassi topped with a thick layer of malai is pure indulgence and a treat you’ll fall in love with. Despite its popularity, we hardly had to wait. An iconic stop for anyone who loves authentic, old-school flavors!

Lassi is super. Cant replace with any lassi available in north India. Those who are more keen on hygiene, please stay away.

Dense thick lassi, loaded with Peda, topped up with sliced ice cold malai makes this a lip smacking drink. Better you have this early morning so that the calories are balanced. Run by people who are nice and believe in good hospitality. Feeling hungry or thirsty or your sweet taste buds are asking for a quick cold nice drink, come here and savour the feast.

This is among one of the most sought after lassi in India ..Located in busy market place.. these guys are old school and famous for their variety of lassis.. specially the peda Bala lassi.. there is one more Giani lassi which is besides this shop.. but these guys are the Ogs. The lassi was creamy, well thickened and not very sweet.. you can taste the peda, dahi and malai test distinctly.. a must visit for lassi and their rabri..

If you are Amritsar and want to taste lassi please visit this place and try ‘Pede wali Lassi’. There are 2 shops side by side but ensure that you are going to correct one 😜. Barfi and peda is also too good to try.

Nestled on Queens Road, Popular Bakery is a must-visit destination in Amritsar for anyone with a sweet tooth or craving savory delights. This charming cake shop exudes a cozy café vibe, making it the perfect spot to indulge in their exquisite offerings. Renowned for their event catering, they whip up stunning cakes using only the freshest ingredients like raw eggs and cream cheese, ensuring every bite is heavenly.
It's on the main road only, Queens 👑 Road and has some parking outside, has sitting arrangement inside. Here you will find almost every flavour of cakes, sweets, wide variety of chocolates and many more. I tried red velvet and it was delicious as expected. As usual payment options are multiple. Bakery biscuits and others baked items are also there.
Manish K — Google review
I recently visited Popular bakery and mithai shop and was blown away by the quality of their products. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the delicious aroma of freshly baked goods and sweets. The bakery section had a wide variety of bread and pastries, all of which looked and tasted amazing. I tried their patties, cookies and was impressed by how flaky and buttery they were. Their cakes and pastries were also beautifully decorated and tasted just as good as they looked. The mithai section had an equally impressive array of sweets, including traditional favorites like laddoos and rasgulla. I was especially impressed by their kaju katli, milk cake which was perfectly balanced between nutty and sweet. What really stood out to me, though, was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the shop. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I had a great experience. Overall, I highly recommend Popular bakery and mithai shop to anyone looking for delicious and high-quality baked goods and sweets, as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Bakery
Bansal Baker's, a renowned bakery from Amritsar, has expanded its reach to Delhi and Pitampura. The warm reception from the locals has been overwhelming, as they have embraced the bakery with open arms. The establishment boasts a fully air-conditioned space, except for the outdoor seating area. Visitors can expect polite staff, a typical bakery ambiance, and high cleanliness standards.
So I just tried this well known bakery of amritsar, the bansal bakers. The place is fully air contioned (except for the sitting area which is outside the main bakery). The staff is polite. The ambience is like that of any other bakery, cleanliness is upto the mark and there's a ton of variety of baked items. I went here around noon so the bakery was most empty. We're two people and tried chocolate donuts, chocolate chip pastries and some chocolates which are priced per piece. Talking about the pastry, it was worth the money. Really soft, well dressed in cream, served perfectly and had a slight essence of chocolate. The additional of white chocolate chips made it even better. Size of the pastry was sufficient for one person. However, I didn't like the donut much. The chocolate layer was fine but the donut had too much of butter. One could taste more of butter and less of donut. Disappointed. I expected donuts like that of dunkin donuts or something but nevermind. The size of donut was quite good though.

VERY SAD! Bought 2 Punjabi grilled sandwiches, this morning(9 am),which were sealed in a box n then tied sealed, into a plastic bag. This was for our return journey Amritsar Bombay,to be consumed in-flight. 5 hrs later,in-flight,when I opened their tied plastic bag and then the box,a small COCKROACH,ran out, followed by very small baby cockroaches. We dumped the sandwiches. A TOTAL UNHYGINIC SCENE... NEVER AGAIN BANSAL AMRITSAR 1 STAR is too high a rating,as thats the lowest

Durga Ice Cream is a popular ice cream shop in Amritsar that is known for its delicious fruit ice-cream. The store has a fun kids' zone which is perfect for parents to enjoy their desserts in peace, and the prices are very affordable. Some of the favorites among customers are the Kulfi falooda, Rabri, and Sundae boat. The fruit cream is definitely a must-have, as it's priced reasonably and tastes amazing.
Loved visiting this place, Durga's,. The concept of kids zone in this dessert parlour where parents cn relish their ice-creams in peace. Great place for kids, as well as adults. Icecreams are fresh and delicious and there are fun activities for children too. Search #Kannavamritsarwala on YouTube channel

Tried Rabri falooda which comes in the kulhad(earthern cup), taste was not up to the mark. Only ambience and location is good. I won't recommended the place if you are true Ice cream lover. I suggest another place beside it named Novelty sweets and restaurant which also has good taste for Ice creams.
JINESH B — Google review
Fruit cream content not justified with the price charged. No dryfruits fruits and quantity of the fruits was also less when compared to the price charged. Rasmlayi was also bad in taste.
Ankurveer A — Google review
I really appreciate the man behind Durga's Icecream. Every single penny spent here is worth it. Went here with my brother and ordered double scoop rainbow icecream in cone, double scoop blind love icecream in cup, two shakes and one oreo overloaded icecream sundae. Coming to the ambience first, the outlet is quite spacious with rides and games for kids. 5/5 for that. I so wanted to take a kid over here. You can go with family, with kids and let the kids enjoy their rides while you enjoy your icecream. The rainbow double scoop in cone was delicious. It was somewhat like tutty fruity but I couldn't figure out the exact taste. However, the cone became soft too fast and left me with messy table, messy hand and molten icecream. The blind love flavor was just a fusion of vanilla and strawberry icecream. It was great but could have been better. Felt it to be slightly incomplete. The sundae was the best. Appropriate flavors and fully loaded with toppings of oreos, gems and chocolate sauce. Delicious.

Sugar content was very high in rabri kulhad(cup) You need to work on it to increase your sale
Ankush S — Google review
Fruit cream was little too sweet and even the fruit was much less as compared to other ice cream vendors selling fruit cream in Amritsar. Varitey of ice creams is good so is the location 😊 It's just at the start of the famous Lawrence Road in Amritsar but then parking your car is literally difficult especially on weekends and evenings. It can be missed as compared to lots of other good eateries in Amritsar
Jyoti A — Google review
I have been coming to this place since my childhood n it has grown immensely. Even after 12 years the taste of fruit icecream is the same except the cost is gone little up. No hard feelings about the cost as its still genuine according to the quality n quantity. To entice kids they also offer toy rides and some small rides. After all its ice cream place that has so much variety. Mix fruit ice cream is like a specialty of Amritsar food scene . Check this place wenever u are at lawrence road.
