I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency Amritsar, expecting the world-class experience that comes with the Hyatt brand and a five-star rating. While the hotel delivers well in many areas — beautiful interiors, courteous staff, and clean, spacious rooms — I was genuinely surprised and disappointed to learn that there isn’t a single weighing machine available anywhere on the hotel premises. In a hotel that caters to both international travelers and domestic guests, not having a basic amenity like a weighing scale — especially for checking luggage weight before flights — is a major oversight. This is something one would expect even in a mid-range hotel, let alone a luxury property like this. It’s the attention to small yet practical details that often sets a true five-star experience apart, and unfortunately, this lapse made me question the overall standard being promised. I hope the management at Hyatt Regency Amritsar takes this feedback constructively and ensures such basic but essential facilities are made available for guests going forward.

Hyatt Amritsar is simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth and care. The door staff were exceptional, the lobby and check-in team made everything effortless, and the housekeeping team kept our room spotless. The restaurant team went out of their way to make every meal enjoyable, and the spa team delivered a relaxing, professional experience. Yes, the hotel is a little outdated, but it in no way affects the quality of the visit — the service and atmosphere more than make up for it. Every department worked together to make us feel genuinely looked after. Hyatt Amritsar is a place you leave with a smile and a promise to return.

Our room was an Executive Suite on the Top Floor with excellent Pool and Panoramic City View. Had a relaxing session at the Shanti Spa and trust me the therapist, Karma was one of the best I’ve experienced. Staff is super courteous and welcoming.

I don't get why there are negative reviews here. The hotel staff was very warm and welcoming. Rooms were small but good condition. The service also was quick. They gave an early check-in too. The location is close to a mall which was convenient. Couldn't try any food unfortunately .

It's a decent hotel if you get it for a good price. We stayed there for one sat night. Though the breakfast has many options but it gets really crowded on the weekends, you even have to wait and the service is hence slow. The mall is in the same premises, so you walk a few steps and voilà you are in the mall ! Shop eat enjoy and then come back and chill in the pool or spa of the hotel. They have valet parking..it was my birthday so on my husband's request they decorated the room with balloons and served a very delicious cake! The pool experience was also good. My kid enjoyed the small play area as well. There was a separate room with xbox for teens. The size of rooms is small, but they do provide all basic amenities including bath robes. They have a shuttle twice a day to visit the golden temple. Overall I think if you get a good price..go for it!

We stayed at the hotel last week for 2 nights. For a 5 star property you would expect their service standards to be aligned with their rating. Check in could do with more staff. The restaurant was chaos on both days. After advising Reception of our early departure and requested for a packed breakfast. They had forgotten to place the order and we left without the meal box. Very poor service all round. From our observation, the staff were trying their best to cope with the chaos. They need to have a better system to cater for a full house occupancy.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Taj Swarna, Amritsar. I booked my stay using my reward points through a travel/points company based in Canada. Everything seemed fine at check-in, but during checkout, the hotel staff informed me that they never received the payment — even though the points were already deducted from my account. I immediately contacted the points company, and they confirmed that the issue was on the hotel’s side — the hotel was required to provide certain details for the payment to go through, which they failed to do. Despite explaining this, the staff insisted that I pay the full booking amount at checkout. To make matters worse, it was almost impossible to reach anyone at the hotel. Most of my calls went unanswered, and when someone did pick up, they simply blamed the travel agency instead of taking responsibility or helping to resolve the situation. I even sent an email directly to the General Manager of the hotel, but to this day, I haven’t received a single response. For a property carrying the Taj name, this level of service, communication, and accountability is extremely disappointing. I expected far better professionalism from a brand of this reputation.

I stayed here for a night. The dinner was well laid out. Had adequate options. However, pasta could be improved .. was just too basic unlike a 5 star. Other than that everything was perfect. Room size is good and beds are comfortable It's not too far from Golden Temple. In early morning hours took us just 10 minutes by Uber. Breakfast spread was also good. Lot many live stations. Overall 5 *.

It’s a good hotel by all means, but more in the nature of a 4 star hotel and not a pure 5 star, and certainly not the luxury one expects from ‘Taj’ brand name. Today, the market is so competitive that it is the little things that separate 4 star properties from 5 star and this is mostly where this property lacks: - Rooms are decent sized but require a serious upkeep. The curtains had stains, switches didn’t work on the first try and the TV is dated. Again, not bad, but not 5 star. - Breakfast buffet is quite limited (2-3 non veg items), 5 star properties are known for their spread both in terms of quality and quantity but that’s not the case here. The live counter is the saving grace with some good options. - The pool stands out but the gym is small without the smith machine/squat rack/barbell. Steam and sauna are well maintained though. - During checkout, I was first given a bill without discount on F&B Taj members are eligible for and had to ask for a fresh bill. - Most of the staff is very courteous, barring one. In summation, it is a good option if you get it around 8-10k including breakfast because of proximity to tourist places but don’t expect the true ‘Taj’ standards or 5 star hospitality.

Family of 5 had an amazing stay at Taj Swarna Amritsar! Feels like home away from home. Impeccable service. Huge kudos to Sakshi who provided outstanding service for dinner at The Chinese Room and Grand Trunk for breakfastt. She truly made us feel like family and deserves more recognition! Breakfast: Joy, manager at Grand Trunk always ready to greet us with a smile and attend to every request. He also manages a really busy team at Breakfast. The food at Grand Trunk was amazing! I miss the parathe, egg burjhi and plain tea! Meals: Sandip and Vijay who provided us with warm hospitality during our tea time at Grand Trunk. Sandip went out of his way to arrange for plain coffee for my mum (they only had cappuccino, flat white, etc). Thank you for attending to our needs! Dinner: I applaud the chefs at The Chinese Room. As Singaporeans who eat local Chinese food all the time, the food was at par to what we have back here. Yummy Chicken Kung Pao and dumplings. Rooms: Clean, spacious room and lovely toiletries. Warm water and good water pressure for showers after a long day of travelling. Only thing which could have been improved is the bedding: Pillows were flat and bed was hard. Mattress topper would have made it better. Airport transfer: Reliable, good service from Sandeep from the Conceirge team. Efficient and one less thing for us to worry about! Spacious Rooms, Superb Breakfast, and a Memorable Stay Loved my stay at Taj Swarna, Amritsar — the rooms were spacious and spotless, the property has a beautiful spa, gym and pool, and the breakfast spread was outstanding with great service. Location is a bit of a trade-off as attractions are slightly far, but being right beside a mall is super convenient. Dinner didn’t quite impress for the price, and drinks are on the expensive side (though expected at this level), plus a games room would’ve been a nice addition. Overall, a wonderful experience and I’d happily come back!

Had a pleasant stay. Property is not far from all tourists destinations. Local transportation are easily available. Food is also delicious and best part in breakfast the variety covers all the best food items for which Amritsar is famous for.

Well run hotel on the edge of town in the middle of nowhere close to a shopping mall. The service was lovely, good gym, pool is good and rooms international standard. We enjoyed the bar and the well made cocktails but sometimes there was a bit of a wait for a drink - that probably says more about me! Breakfasts were fantastic and the Indian options brilliant - breakfast service was fantastic and we had each of the Indian options in the course of our stay. Would stay again.

Decent hotel with small to average sized rooms. The location is good and easily accessible. Affordable stays. Unfortunately we were given a room that overlooked a scrapyard (backside of the hotel). Plus our room was at the far end of the floor even though several of the rooms (in the initial area) were unoccupied. Nevertheless it was an A OK stay!

Because of my pleasant experience with Regenta Jaipur I preferred to stay in their Amritsar property and I do not have any regrets. Some of things which would need improvement: Room Door needs maintenance as it was required hell lot of force to open. The room I got was smaller in comparison, may be i was the single occupant. The property location is in mid of flyover, if you miss the right path you need to take u turn and that is 2 km extra journey.

We recently hosted two wedding functions at Regenta Central Amritsar, and overall, we were pleased with the experience. The food quality was excellent, and the arrangements were handled efficiently, which made both events smooth and memorable. While the overall experience was positive, there are key elements that need refinement to consistently reflect the premium image of your hotel brand. The mocktail and soft drink glasses, for instance, felt underwhelming. Their small size and plain appearance are more akin to basic tea glasses, and they simply don’t align with the premium ambiance your brand aims to offer. Investing in elegant, proper mocktail glassware would not only enhance the presentation but also reinforce the upscale identity of your hotel. Similarly, table decorations were too modest for a venue of your stature. A hotel with a star rating like yours should strive for table aesthetics that reflect creativity, attention to detail, and luxury. It’s the little things like this that guests remember, and they go a long way in strengthening your reputation. We sincerely hope that our feedback helps highlight areas where small upgrades could yield a big impact. We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and since we booked two interconnected rooms, it worked out perfectly for our family. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing with a wide variety of options to choose from. The rooftop pool looked beautiful, though unfortunately we couldn’t use it as it was closed due to rain. The service throughout our stay was excellent, and one of the best parts was the 24/7 complimentary food available for babies, which made things so much easier for us. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d happily stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location is great – very central and easily accessible. The rooms were comfortable, but honestly, they do feel a bit outdated and could use some maintenance. One thing I didn’t like was the pricing of the room service menu. For example, a cup of tea costs ₹330, which feels way too high, especially in a city like Amritsar. We didn’t take the breakfast option, but the food we ordered through room service was good in taste. Overall, it was a good stay, but the hotel can definitely improve in terms of maintenance and making prices more reasonable.

We had such a lovely 3-day stay at Courtyard by Marriott, Amritsar. The staff was super kind and made us feel so comfortable throughout our trip. What really touched my heart was the surprise on my birthday—a delicious cake and a beautifully decorated room, all arranged on my daughter’s request. It made the day unforgettable! The rooms were clean, cozy, and everything about the stay was just perfect. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip and my birthday so special. We can’t wait to come back again!

Enjoyed the hotel. Felt very safe and everything was hygienic. I could check in at 7am. Shout out to abhishek at the restaurant. My only point of complaint is that there is no AC in the gym… the temperature was too hot. It felt like a sauna. I was sweating like in an oven, very unpleasant. Please fix this. Thank you

Commendable service. Right from vallet to guards to reception desk to staff to chef … everyone greets very warmly. A beautiful culture indeed ! The food has great variety and each of it is delicious to its core and definitely tastes like made with love. Mr Vipin specially ensured we taste their delicacies and was very welcoming. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. All amenities are available. The gym is well equipped. Would look forward to stay again sometime.

Pros: Room are spacious, swimming pool at the rooftop is small but very beautiful, staffs are very friendly, local transport is not a problem at all. Chef Aman, Chef Prabhjot, Shuli, Chetan and Manish are nice and always at the service. Ms. Shuli always reponds with BRIGHT SMILE and Mr. Chetan is SO COMMITTED to his duty silently. The front desk of the hotel is always proactive. Cons: Location is somehow not that central but kind of ok.

Had a Very Nice stay at the hotel . The Rooms are very Luxurious and the services are invincible . Very responsive with the Queries Specially by Chetan and Ayush on the front desk . Don't hesitate to go and ask if you have any issues . The weather was not pleasant so carry the necessities specially on summer days. Don't forget to try the local food 🤪 although the hotel food was good as well.

I stayed at Ranjit's Svaasa, and it was a calm and lovely place. The hotel looks beautiful and has an old-style charm. My room was clean and very peaceful. The bed was soft, and I felt relaxed. The food was fresh and tasty. The people working there were kind and helpful. It’s a great place to rest and feel at home. I really liked it and want to visit again.

Started our India adventure here and it was lovely. Old colonial building which was beautiful inside. Great room, very clean. Service & food was very good. Location quiet away from the very busy main road.

A hark back to colonial times, full of old photos and antiques. Rooms are set around courtyard gardens with a maze of stairs and walkways, each room having an outside or covered terrace seating area. We arrived late in the evening but there was a wonderful welcome - we were made to feel like house guests rather than customers. Definitely a quiet hideaway in the bustling city.

Anyone who is reading this please it is requested to kindly not to book this hotel at all. It is a fraud hotel What happened to us in this hotel is not less than a mental torture and sheer harassment that to with our little daughters. We checked in at night at 1 o clock as soon as we checked in the AC did not work so we complained at the reception. The person at the reception was least bothered and told us their is some technical issue therefore you can go to golden temple and when you will come you will find your rooms chilled. We went to gurudwara and came back at 5:30 in the morning and AC was still not working and we complained again but were not addressed. Our daughters one of 5 years and 4 Years were getting suffocated in rooms and sweating. We decided to check out and asked for refund. That one staff the GM and that one guard type person was in constant touch with the MD and said they will not give us the refund atol. we had a fight at the reception and called the police as the MD told us that you may call the police it does not matter to them . We called the police and they said it’s their every days thing and we can’t do anything about it and you should book another hotel. We both the families were made to sit at the reception from 5:30 to 8 o clock with our little daughters and were told by their MD to kick out the daughters out from the hotel asap. Afterwards we came to know that this hotels belongs to a police official and it does not mind going for a police complaint also. Then we got to know what this fraud is all about . They did not gave a DL back . It is requested to all please do not book this hotel for your safety and book only Best western which is at golden gate They are fraudsters and will not accept their fault and your money will be a waste.

Extremely Disappointing Experience I had high expectations when booking a suite at Best Western Plus, but it turned out to be one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The suite was incredibly outdated, and to make matters worse, the room’s air conditioning didn’t work at all — a basic necessity. What made it even more frustrating was the complete lack of professionalism from the staff. Instead of addressing the issue, they kept giving silly excuses and made no real effort to resolve the problem. I expected far better from a brand like Best Western. Definitely would not recommend this location and will think twice before booking with them again..

Very Poorly Managed – Disappointing Stay Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Despite arriving an hour after the designated check-in time, our room was missing basic amenities like toiletries, towels, and even drinking water. These were only provided after repeated calls to housekeeping. The next morning, there was no hot water in the shower. When we raised this with the manager, his response was not only unhelpful but also rude and arrogant, saying, “It’s 60°C outside, why do you need hot water?” Fortunately, the reception staff arranged hot water buckets, which was a temporary fix but still unacceptable. While the support staff was polite, there was zero coordination—requests took far too long, and communication was poor. The hotel’s location is also inconvenient. It is not within walking distance of any major tourist spot, café, or restaurant, meaning we had to rely on autos every time—and most drivers had never even heard of the hotel under its new name. It was formerly known as Country Inn, which locals are more familiar with. Another major letdown was that the swimming pool advertised on booking platforms does not exist—it is under construction, with no prior communication about this. Overall, I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable or hassle-free stay. It simply does not meet basic expectations.

Bad experience with the hotel Our room was clean, but felt damp due to the AC is not working efficiently. The air coming out of the vents slightly cooler than air from a fan. They sent a tech, but nothing was resolved. Spoke to the operational manager and she was super busy as she said and did not even listen their customer what problem is there. The temp on thermostat was 31 when i arrived then slowly went down to 29 and they said it will go slowly down. Nothing changed even after 3 to 4 hours. They changed my room but still the other rooms temp were nearly 28 or 29c. It was so hard for me and for my family as we have a kid with us aged 10 months. Nobody cares even their staff knows about the AC problem. Very disappointed with the service.

I had a terrible experience at Best Western Plus Amritsar. The AC was not working in my room, and even after changing rooms twice, the issue was the same. To make things worse, the electricity kept going again and again, and there was no proper backup facility to handle it. For a hotel that claims to be “Plus” standard, this was completely unacceptable. Extremely uncomfortable stay and very poor management. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Worst hotel room experience ever!!! I do not recommend this hotel at all... AC not working, no breakfast buffet(even when included in our billing) and unfriendly staff...people just dont accept their mistake and blame the customer for everything ... even a police complain couldn't shake them uo... they were so adamant in not providing the services agreed upon. A big NO to this hotel!

At the time of booking they said the swimming pool is functional, however it was filled with mosquitoes and dint have any water rotational to clean the water. Gym was not functional. There was no hot water in the bathroom. Not a very comfortable experience

I have stayed here for a few weeks, and it feels like home. The hotel cleanliness and the staff have been exceptional in accommodating all my needs. The place is in a quiet area but also close to Laurence Road with all the shopping.

It was literally terrible experience of staying here i think it was worst experience i ever has in my life. My mistaken i booked two rooms and paid for two. I request them for cancellation but they said there is nothing in their hand. After that i talked to customer care of goibibo team and they said we had sent the cancellation request to property they decline it…..they are so cheap even their services are so cheap. I will suggest you guys not to stay here. They all are gold diggers. They are not supporting and understanding. They want only money no matters someone is requesting for cancellation or anything.

If you are traveling by taxi or traveler (commercial vehicle), please do NOT book this hotel. They do not allow drivers to use the toilet or take a shower. Just imagine – how can a driver serve clients properly if he isn’t even allowed to freshen up? We had 15 clients and booked 7 rooms, yet the hotel did not provide even basic facilities for the driver. No parking was allowed either. Keep in mind, Amritsar has a high theft risk, and our driver had to show us everything via video call. It was 48 degrees Celsius and he was forced to stay inside the vehicle the whole time. This hotel is only suitable if you are driving your own private vehicle. If you’re coming in a commercial vehicle, please avoid booking here.

We had a nice stay, location is on main road & near to railway station but far from airport. Dinner they served was great in taste but way above expensive; e.g. butter chicken 650 + tax but taste had no complaint. While breakfast wasn't that tasty.

We Had an amazing time at the pool party 🌊🍴 The food was excellent with a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from — every bite was worth it. The hospitality was top-notch, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for. A special mention to Gurjit, our server, who went above and beyond with his warm and attentive service. 👏 We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this place for a perfect summer getaway or party venue 💯✨

I will suggest you not to stay here. They are very cheap. They are not understanding and helping. They seems very clever. Front desk is also very clever. I had worst experience here. I m regreting now why i choose this hotel.

The worst property & property owners I have never seen before. I call at hotel reception owners pick the call and assure us that jacuzzi rooms are available after her assurance we reached at that property but he asked more rates than online rates and when we book online he said all sold out and make it in website also now I see that they rooms online rates are change Rs. 4000 to 9000/-. Totally time waste and bad experience with Ganesha palace please don't plan there for stay.

Firstly, I was greeted with a lovely warm welcome by all of the staff at Ganesha Palace. As soon as I entered, I was amazed by its unique charm. The whole place is decorated so beautifully. I stayed in the crown room which was also very cosy and tastefully decorated. As I was really tired from all of the traveling I had been doing, I decided to eat in my room.. this was no problem at all for the staff. I also thoroughly enjoyed my morning, having a delicious breakfast in bed followed by a swim and a greet from some chirpy parakeets.. Such a blissful morning indeed. I would just like to thank the staff again for making my final chapter of my trip so memorable. If you have a good eye for detail and you want something a little more different then this is your place.

Don’t go here. U will regret! These people think that they can do what they want irrespective of which room was booked. I did not get what I wanted and in fact it was allowed to someone else. Food is expensive. You can hear an old man scream early in the morning. U can hear things being dragged on the floor while sleeping. Hot water will not be available for more than 5 mins. The jacuzzi is messed up. Metal parts were coming out as we turned it on. They are not well maintained. AC DOESNT work. Rooms are too small. They have additional heaters which weren’t working properly.

Was grt stay at Pawanji's homestay we stayed here for about a week.This homestay is in a residential area, at a distance of about 2kms from Golden Temple precinct. The rooms are clean and spacious with balcony in the room we stayed. They also have a Terrace with a view. Hosts Pawanji and Navjotji are very humble and approachable. They have curated a list of places to visit around Amritsar including a brief description which is very helpful. Would recommend this homestay for long stays.

The property is near 3km away from the golden temple. Car parking is available. Property owner is a gentleman and very helpful.. always there for your help. It was a grt stay with children.

Karta Purakh homestay managed by Navjot ji is truly an amazing home to spend your time in Amritsar. The ambience, vibes and location of the place is so peaceful and so vibrant that you won’t feel like going anywhere. Navjot ji coordinated so well that one can easily reach to the location without hassle. He even guided the local sightseeing places to visit in Amritsar. One can take his Scooty on rent as well to roam within the city. The rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast was so delicious that right now I’m craving for those aloo paranthas XD I would highly recommend this place to everyone who is visiting Amritsar.

We had an amazing stay at this place, The owner is so kind, respectful and soft spoken. This place is located in a proper residential location with absolute peace. The room is bigger than our expectations and has a big hallway and balcony. Golden temple and surrounding area is 2km away which you can easily walk or take an e-rickshaw. I will highly recommend this place and will definitely come back in the future.

Bigger room is better as it opens directly in balcony. You can get good lighting and ventilation. Owner is humble and a great host. The breakfast is homely and unlimited. Check for AC - they have it but charges are additional. They have their own scooties on rent as well.

We had a really pleasant stay at Fairfield by Marriott, Amritsar. The hotel overall was very good and the staff made us feel so welcome throughout. A special mention to Rajan from the restaurant team – he was extremely polite, helpful, and went out of his way to make our experience better. The location is excellent, just a short drive from the Golden Temple, the main city, and even the airport, which makes it very convenient. We also enjoyed the pool area, which was clean and relaxing. The only minor drawback would be the rooms – they are comfortable but not as fancy or modern as one might expect from Marriott. Still, they are not bad at all and serve the purpose well. Overall, it’s a nice option to stay in Amritsar if you’re looking for good hospitality, a great location, and friendly staff.

The hotel location is quite good. Close to, almost walkable, from station. The Heritage area is also not far; easily reachable with uber/e-rickshaw options. Staff & hospitality is top notch. Food was also very authentic with local flavors. International options were also available & equally good. Things that could be improved were small things like quality of towels & bedsheets. Some items in the room like kettle & soap dispenser were faulty but were quickly replaced by staff upon reporting. Overall very good stay & value for money.

Not at all worth the price. We paid 7k per room. We had options of other 5-star stays around it at 5k per room only. But we gave this a try only to get disappointed. Rooms are too small. Only two chairs, no sofa. No mats are kept outside washrooms. How can we dry out feet after coming out? The building has 200+ rooms. Highly focused on accommodating large number of guests. Not enough space to walk freely. Lift lobby is no where visible. We always missed spotting it while getting out. Swimming pool is also small. Poor service in the dine-in area. Though bar & restaurant are just beside each other - To drink we have to sit on separate tables, and to have food we have change the tables.

I had a fantastic stay at this property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part is the food, be it their amazing breakfast with many options or food from their cafe or restaurant. Plus, they have a decent gym and a pool to relax and unwind. Highly recommended!

My stay in Fairfield Marriot was absolutely pleasant. First, the staffs are very very fast and helpful. They helped me check-in in the most efficient way! The room is spacious, super clean and all aminities are there! Exactly get what I paid for. Amazing! Breakfast?! The breakfast is extraordinary, they have quite wide varieties of foods and beverages, including the local specialties. Loved that! The staffs in the restaurant is very very attentive and sweet! Definitely will stay with them again if I come back to Amritsar!

Stayed here recently and found the hotel to be decent and very clean. It’s conveniently located, making it easy to get around the city. The staff was attentive and courteous throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast had a good variety and was quite tasty. We also tried the dinner – generous portions and flavorful dishes made it a satisfying experience. That said, the comfort factor was a letdown. The beds weren’t great – the springy mattresses didn’t offer much support and might not be suitable for those with back issues. **Need for Mandatory Driver Accommodation in Hotels** It's quite surprising that despite being a reputed hotel, there is no provision for driver accommodation. This is truly unfortunate. Drivers are responsible for safely operating our vehicles, and if they do not get adequate rest, it could lead to serious accidents. The government should take strict note of this issue and make it mandatory for hotels to provide basic accommodation facilities for drivers. Ensuring their rest is not just a matter of comfort, but a critical aspect of road safety.

I recently stayed at Golden Sarovar Portico, Amritsar, located on Maa Durga Mandir Road, Mall Road, Amritsar, Punjab. While the property looks appealing from the outside and is situated in a fairly convenient area near the Golden Temple (around 10–15 minutes by car) and other popular attractions like Jallianwala Bagh and Partition Museum, my actual stay was very disappointing. Location & Nearby Attractions: The hotel is positioned in a central part of Amritsar, making it easy to access key landmarks. The Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and local shopping markets are not too far. However, despite the good location, the experience inside the hotel overshadows these positives. Room & Facilities: The rooms are average in comfort, but the basic facilities are not managed properly. One major issue I faced was the lack of parking facilities. For a property of this size, not offering proper parking arrangements is a huge inconvenience, especially for travelers arriving with family or luggage. Service Experience: This is where the hotel truly failed during my stay. The guest service is extremely poor and lazy. I was thirsty throughout the night and called the reception 2–3 times during the night and 2 times in the morning just to get a bottle of water delivered to my room. Shockingly, no one ever came with water. For a hotel that advertises itself as premium, this level of service is unacceptable. Basic hospitality means attending to a guest’s urgent needs promptly—something as simple as drinking water should never be ignored. Unfortunately, the staff here seems careless and unresponsive, which left me frustrated and uncomfortable during my entire stay. Overall Impression: Golden Sarovar Portico might have a decent location in Amritsar, but the terrible service, unavailability of even the most basic facilities like water delivery, and the lack of parking make it a poor choice for travelers. The management seriously needs to improve guest services and staff responsiveness.

Generic hotel, nothing stands out. Front desk is good/ Check-in and check-outs are fast. Most windows don't face outside; rather an open area within the hotel...a bit claustrophobic. The in-house restaurant is just okay.

The location couldn't be better right in the heart of the city, just across from Ranjeet Avenue B Block! The hotel itself was quite clean, which is always a plus, but I did find the rooms a bit on the smaller side. Still, it's a fantastic spot for anyone wanting to dive into the vibrant city atmosphere!

Located in the heart of Amritsar and very close the famous Bubbi chicken. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Still has the old architecture in the rooms with luxury. Highly recommend staying here.

So, currently I am staying at this property. The rooms are good BUT They have the worst service, there is no water and they are saying some engineer technical issue. Then there is no swimming pool cleaning and can't access as no or dirty water. They are have major water issue. Even though the food court adjoining them water is working fine there. Means the hotel has mangement issue. And above all you can't checkout before hand also as they take the advance payment upfront only which is first time in my lifelong experience of visiting hotels everywhere. They are now giving water through buckets. I mean paying so much money for such bad service is just disheartening for our family as it is our hard earned money. Since the moment we have check-in they are making plenty of excuses. And this is clearly defincent service. They also didn't warn us about no swimming pool no water these issues should be told beforehand rather than scamming your guests.

Our stay at The Earth was outstanding from start to finish. The service was warm and professional, the rooms were elegant and spotless, and the amenities — including the pool, and restaurants — were top-notch. Also staff was polite and helpful especially the front desk. Every detail reflected true five-star quality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway.

We went in march 25 with our full family, including an infant and senior citizens. The hotel is really good and centrally located.. 10 mins away from the Golden Temple. The rooms currently are on the ground floor except a few on the first floor. It has a good swimming pool. It has one multi cuisine restaurant. We stayed in the Heritage Grand suite and the Heritage suite. The rooms are big and spacious and nicely done. The property is very old and refurbished into a hotel, which is approximately 2 years old. The service is also great. Vinod singh at the dinning was a great help. One can try directly bookong with the hotel for best offers. Breakfast was also good. Cons- the service did get affected when there were more guests and food choices maybe limited. Also in the future they are making a building for more rooms which can affect the boutique bit of the hotel

Rooms were spacious and location wise one of the best, in heart of city yet very peaceful. Staffs need to be more trained and professional. On multiple accounts we faced issues but no service recovery. A part of property still under construction. Food was great.

I had an amazing experience during my stay here. All the main attractions, such as the Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple, and the local market, are within walking distance. The staff is incredibly humble and kind, providing great value for money. I would also like to mention Mr. Arsh, who was exceptionally supportive. When I had trouble finding the hotel, he explained all the routes to my taxi driver in a very polite manner. He was quick to resolve any queries I had.

Backpackers Nest Hotel is located at a perfect spot in Amritsar — everything is nearby! Major attractions like the Partition Museum, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Golden Temple are all within walking distance. Even famous dhabas are just a short walk away, and the auto stand is barely 50 meters from the hotel, making commuting very easy. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable, although they could use a bit more attention to cleanliness. The staff, however, were very supportive, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Overall, it’s a great budget-friendly option if you want a convenient and hassle-free stay near the heart of the city.

I had a mixed experience while staying here. The location of the hotel/dormitory is good. There are couple of good restaurants near by. You can take a walk to various places like Jalianwala Baugh, Golden Temple etc. Staff is supportive.

Very good hotel located at the heart of city of Amritsar. Rooms are very large and spacious. Lifts are also very spacious and fast too. Stand is very courteous and helpful. The food that was served to us was very delicious. Few rooms of the hotel provide a very good view of the city and the hotel is very close to the major points of visit like Shri swarna mandir sahib ji, jalianwala bagh, main market etc. The cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel is very nice. Frankly speaking it is one of the best option to stay in Amritsar that is economical and within reach of the people. The hotel is so nicely located that you can even go out at 12 in the night to have a paan from the paan shop located in the market and can come back again in the hotel just by walking. This hotel is also surrounded by a very large market especially dealing with branded clothes, electricals and some good medical stores. I stayed in the hotel for two days and found that if I would have stayed somewhere else other than this hotel then my trip had been a mess and nothing. I am truly thankful to the promoters, management and staff of this hotel not only for managing the things at their end well but also for their unconditional help and support they extend to their guests whenever it's required. The hotel is good, hotel location is good near 2.5 km from golden temple. Rate of the hotel is also fine. Morning Breakfast was good. In hotel line important thing is service but they are poor in service because of staff. Only one person is running in full hotel. Cleaning should be improve.

Unfortunately I trusted the google ratings and went ahead booking this place for my stay. The room and the bedding here is stinky. Washroom floor has not been swept and mopped in ages. The basic necessities like hot drinking water is not provided neither there is an electric kettle to do it by yourself.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The cleanliness was far below acceptable standards—there were insects in the bathroom, visible dust, and the towels and bedsheets appeared unwashed. The overall hygiene of the place was extremely poor. The staff was uncooperative, and to make matters worse, an elderly person (possibly the owner) present at the property was quite rude and lacked basic manners in dealing with guests. When we told that old man about insects in toilet he replied that insects are in homes as well. This made the atmosphere very uncomfortable, especially for a family stay. Due to the unacceptable conditions, we decided to leave the hotel within an hour of checking in and moved to a different one. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent and comfortable stay. It was a complete waste of money and not worthy even in free of cost because of unhygienic environment.

I paid ₹500 for early check-in charges and requested a receipt, but the hotel did not provide one. Running a hotel is different from running a small shop; customers deserve a receipt for any payments made. On the positive side, the rooms and location are good. However, the hotel owner, Mr. Amandeep, seeks extra charges without giving receipts, which is disappointing and feels unfair.

Firstly they asked for extra payment although the hotel was booked from paytm and it was already paid. Then they asked us to talk to paytm for refund we will not give any refund WORST than anything we ever had AC of the room was not working Door handles were broken Poor room service

On the good side Rooms are good size Early check in provided Cleanliness and hygiene maintained Down side Rooms had a foul smell while checking in but fade off later. Kitchen timings are 8.30 am to 9.30 pm. Even Tea / coffee is also not served apart from these timings which was really sad since we had to catch early train. We were okay to pay if they could get tea from outside but the staff denied. Neutral side Location wise better options were available near Golden temple that should be preferred for family stay. Prefer areas like Hall road that are upscale. Overall it's good for a budget stay.

As on 4th April 2024 hotel is budget friendly. Easy to access road touch. Rooms are renovated with new color. Hotel staff is very helpful. Rooms are of medium size, good for 2 day stay. Hotel provides paid e rickshaw service which are pocket friendly, they will roam you around city will wait till your work is done. Only drawback of hotel is food service starts at 8.30am so you can't get early morning tea.

1 rooms were not hygeneic 2 we ordered coffee at 8:00 it was brought to our room at almost 8:50 because apperntly The milk they were preparing was sour and they had to make it again 3 the bathroom was slippery Which should be a problem for a 72 year old who had gone through a knee surgery. 4 we had booked 2 rooms while we were gone 1 room was cleaned but the other one was not 5 the bread omlete smelled really bad

Golden temple is situated quite near as is the railway station and the bus station. You can get local transport easily from outside the hotel too. They provide taxi services to Wagah also.

The room was spacious for family, good staff. Mr Vishal was very helpful. Their inhouse food was good. The hotel is on the main road. It is around 3 kms from The Golden Temple, you can get e-autos very easily. Overall a decent stay. They arrange vehicles too on request for going around, etc.

I would give 3.5 stars to this hotel, service is good, food is good and rooms are also decent but we could not get hot water in the bathroom maybe for some reason they had switched their plant off. Restaurant food is amazing. Breakfast is okayish not many options included in it. Also it's far cheaper if you walk in and book the rooms or if you can contact and book. I booked it from Agoda and there was a huge price difference of rs 6500 for 3 nights in the booking amount when compared.

Rooms are good as it was previously owned by Lemon Tree hotels but recent management is not able to maintain the standards. Housekeeping is very poor. They didnt even have sufficient tea bags. Pathetic service..! They don’t even have hot water service.. When asked for hot water they were saying no buckets to give hot water..! What kind of hotel doesn’t even have buckets/ hot water..!!!

They charged me extra 1000 rupees for just 3 hours of entended stay. Do not waste your money on this hotel. Definitely not recommended to anyone.

Located near the place where private busses originate from is well connected for people travelling by bus. Has a on road parking and is approx 1.4 kms from Shri Harminder Sahib Gurudwara. Rooms are small but comfortable the restaurant doesn’t have an in house kitchen so order food from else where its better 👍

The area in which hotel was located was filthy. The room and linen were dirty. There was no proper room service. The breakfast was a hoax. Treebo is seriously over charging from customers. Not worth your money.

Memorable place ,staff was very cooperative nature,service was good breakfast was delicious
