One of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had, and unfortunately in Split, Croatia, of all places where service should shine. The problems here are deep-rooted — not just with the staff, but clearly with management and ownership.
Staff members appeared unhappy, untrained, and uninterested, which is no surprise when the managers themselves set such a poor example. Instead of engaging with guests, staff lingered around in the kitchen, avoided responsibilities, and left basic standards completely neglected.
The toilets were a disgrace — dirty, with no paper towels, and clearly ignored throughout service. Instead of maintaining them, staff were in the way, unhelpful, and in one shocking instance, one nearly pushed my wife aside as she tried to get to the bathroom. Politeness, smiles, or even basic courtesy were non-existent.
What makes this even more frustrating is that all of it is fixable. With proper management, training, and leadership, this place could deliver a far better experience. Until then, it remains horrendous service, terrible oversight, and sadly one of the worst places iv been.
