I went to a coffee shop today. It presents itself as a specialty coffee place, and at first glance, everything seemed fine. The atmosphere was nice and it smelled like freshly brewed coffee. I ordered a cappuccino to go, since I was in a hurry and couldn’t enjoy it on the spot. After me, three more people placed their orders. I waited… The others got their coffee and left. There were four staff members behind the bar, all laughing and having a lively conversation. Okay, but… where was my coffee? Only after I asked did they realize they had forgotten my order. Thanks. My boyfriend enjoyed the coffee — he likes milk.

Decent Cold Brew, service is lacking very slow and they seem distracted talking about something else than serving. The space is small but with multiple rooms including one across the alley. Happy waiting

After a hot walk around the old city, this cafe offers a very nice respite from the temperature outside. Quite unique that there is another door opposite the main cafe that provides quieter atmosphere. Both the main and extension provide a welcoming atmosphere. They bring your drinks to your table. Staffs are also very helpful and friendly. A gem in the heart of the old city.

A great place to have a quick bite and coffee. They only offer coffee, juices and croissant. The staff were really nice and the place was not that crowded (and so cozy). We ordered their special offer which includes coffee, juice, and croissant. All were great and the juice was fresh.

Amazing pizza right at the seaside in Split! Basta serves an amazing menu at a very nice setting. The atmosphere is simply amazing and makes having food there a real joy. The service is very good and the waiters very attentive. I’ve started with the salmon avocado salad served with freshly made and nicely spiced focaccia bread. I was really surprise at the bread and really recommend anyone having a try at it. For my main dish I had the pizza tartufo, which was made in napoletana style, exactly how I love it. Really enjoyed myself and will certainly visit again on my next visit to Split!

We visited BASTA twice during our trip and it was our favourite place to eat, drink and relax. Excellent service, very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food delicious! We loved the little birds flying in and out the cafe it added to the experience. Overall just a wonderful spot and I want your music playlist!

Nice pizzeria on the waterfront in Split. It’s on the higher end of price, but actually very reasonable considering some of the other waterfront restaurants. Also, it’s slightly down from the main hustle and bustle of the market and restaurant strip so not as crowded if you’re looking for a slightly quieter vibe. We found plenty of tables available, and we visited at 8pm on a Sunday evening in August. Pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. Most important, they serve great food at a relatively reasonable price. Between us we had the Fantasia Di Pollo salad, Pagnuttiello Con Tonno E Mozzarella (a tuna like sandwich with pizza dough as the bread), and the Margarita and Bufalona pizzas. All the food was well played, delicious and flavourful. We highly recommend!

Food is excellent. Everything is tasty and the service was good. The view is a great plus. 😍 However, I have to advise you to bring your own cutlery since knifes are really blunt. The only plus about it is that you will have huge triceps. 😂 Jokes aside, knifes are so blunt that even cutting a pizza was a challenge lol

View was really peaceful away from the main strip with all the tourists. The staff were friendlier here and the drinks were good and better priced than at the main strip. Would recommend!

Only had one meal out in Split and chose here as it had a great view over the port. Beers were good, music was chill and the pizzas we had between the four of us looked and tasted great. Wish we had gone in early in the week!

First night and split we went here and it has left a high bar for anyone to meet. Friendly and welcoming as we entered they did not disappoint. I accidentally dropped a knife and within seconds a waiter had noticed and brought a new one without us asking. We ordered pizzas with request for some bits not to be included and it came as requested. Pizza where fresh with a thin base but puffy crisp edges just the way I like it.

The restaurant is about a 20 min walk from old town and definitely worth the trip as the views are amazing. Great stop for drinks and snacks. Drinks were 8-10 Euro and beer 5. The cheese plate was good but a big pricy at 18. Overall great way to spend a few hours in the afternoon.

With the views from this place, do expect to pay more. Our server was really nice, helpful and had an entertaining dry sense of humor. However the food itself didn’t meet the expectations of the price and were not very memorable. One dish was a yoghurt dish yet the yoghurt was runny like milk. Probably best to stick to ordering drinks here and enjoying the view

Absolutely amazing experience! Antonio provided top notch service with spot on food and wine recommendations. His constant smile and fun personality made the evening unforgettable. The breathtaking view is the cherry on top, a must visit spot in Split.

The view is so good, I loved looking at the boats in the harbour but service was so bad when we just had our drinks our waiter sat down and starting chatting to the other waiters and they were having there own drink and the people started having to come up to the waiters instead of the waiters coming up to you. We wanted to eat but they only sides between 3-6pm so couldn’t sample their delicious menu. No kids menu so check your children will eat before you come. Definitely overall a 3 stars for me!

People come here for the view but let me tell you that the food and coffee are absolutely fantastic! The macchiato is surreal and I had a beefsteak salad that was unearthly! Absolutely recommend this place. Yozo’s service was great: fast, attentive, and courteous.

It’s a very nice place with a good atmosphere, live music on Saturday. The food doesn’t really deserve it’s price but it’s good. I removed a second start because I don’t like being asked for a tip. I will tip when the service is extraordinariy

Excellent cups of coffee, beer, liquor or coctails. Best of all are the treats you can order as can be seen in the pictures. Tables are directly next to the sea, which makes the experience even better.

One of the most popular caffe bar in Split.It has two outside and two indoor seatings.The coffe is great and the cakes too.We had a snickers and a raspberry cake which were both amazing.A little bit smaller portions and the prices are a bit high but it is justified.The outside area has a great view of Kaštela and Lora and it is located right next to the sea.The inside area is decorated in an antique style which is great.All in all,I could write forever, but it is truly amazing and good.Totally recommended to come here and enjoy a coffe and cake by the beautiful sea.

Only gave 5 stars for the stunning atmosphere. Haha just joking, even if it's incredibly beautiful and comfortable here, I have to say that the waiters can be a bit stressed, so don't overwhelm them. The cakes may not be as good as they once were, for some of them are definitely NOT home-made, but you can still enjoy a good treat if you select the right one. Prices are solid, a bit too much, but I've seen worse. All-in-one just the best place to have a good chat at.

I stumbled onto this wonderful place .. far out .. right on the water with great views. I had an espresso and an Orange tart. Both delicious and just perfect. Great place alone or better still with company. And oh it’s a great place to hydrate as the water is free and free flowing. The staff are great. Watch out for the cute cheeky and bold seagull🤣

A beautiful big waterfront Cafe out of the centre, mostly locals, 1 vegetarian option; cheese and salad bread roll, it was big and tasty, good value for money and a huge big range of the most delicious cakes and sweets!

Coffee was good. Cute little shop in the narrow streets of the old town. 4£ a latte. Barista was no nonsense, not very friendly but the service was quick and efficient.

I come from London and Hong Kong. I have to say this is the best flat white and croissant I have ever had in my past 20 years of drinking coffee. I feel very grateful that I could find this cafe. All the best and I will surely fly to Split for this again! 🫂😋

We were lucky enough to grab a corner table inside on a rainy day at this busy, bumping old town coffee shop. I liked the combination of true speciality coffee (especially with non dairy milk) and cocktails. My fiancée had an aperol spritz and she liked it so much she got another one, i had an amazing espresso tonic and a great little piccolo latte. Stellar coffee shop, worth stopping in for sure.

Fantastic spot to stop for coffee, the barista was the sweetest girl who made an excellent flat white. As a coffee snob from Australia I couldn’t recommend highly enough. Such a cute little square to sit in too!

We came here for a drink on our last night in Split. This place is just below the apartment we stayed in. Wish we had tried sooner. Drinks were very affordable, and delicious! Best Pina Colada I had in ages. The location is very good! 10/10

Lovely outside terrace area with shade. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is Mexican inspired with additional options like all-day breakfast. The OJ & coffee is very good, I had the avocado, scrambled eggs with toast for breakfast - eggs were nice, but the cubes of avocado were not very ripe & was quite hard. I would have expected better quality bread. It was standard slice bread (toasted) The quesadilla had a nice flavour but not much filling inside. Side salad was also good. Many people eat here, which is a good sign, so it may have just been what I ordered. Reasonably priced & I would return again to try other options on the menu.

We had the most amazing early evening dinner, as we skipped lunch we were very hungry and tried their varied food options — French toast (all day breakfast), chicken quesadillas, and choco lava cake. Best choco lava cake served with berries and ice cream, amazing fresh French toast with fruits in layers with syrup and conserve, and quesadillas were a flavour burst. They also offer decaf coffee which is so great! But the cappuccino was very small. All fairly priced. Our server was extremely kind and very efficient. We will come back for more! Highly recommended

Avoid the salmon and avocado toast. Disgusting industrial guacamole sauce, cheap ingredients, barely toasted, carelessly presented. We could not finish it. The cappuccini disappointed too. Ratings in Split inflated.

They have just renovated the place. Atmosphere is cozy. Extra points for having a non smoking room. The new food menu is great, with good prices. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back. The only issue is that they only accept card for bills over 15 euros, according to the waiter.

We had a team dinner here with a group of 30 people—seated at three long tables, and we were very well looked after throughout the evening. It‘s a fantastic restaurant: the outdoor seating is charming, the view is absolutely amazing, and the whole atmosphere felt just right. The menu offered a great variety—everything we tried was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The fish was absolutely amazing. The service deserves high praise, too. The staff were attentive, friendly, and very efficient — they managed our large group seamlessly.

This is a beautiful location full of beautiful, well dressed people enjoying the night out with delicious Croatian cuisine. I enjoyed a mezcal negroni and my husband got a mojito. Both great cocktails. We enjoyed the lamb chops and salad. Our friends got gazpacho and some traditions beef stew. Everything was fantastic! 😋

Beautiful and peaceful setting on the coast. Michelin rated (2025). Tranquility combined with exceptional culinary experience. We tried the fish soup and the tuna cannelloni filled with foie gras. For the main course we took oven baked fish with vegetables in white wine sauce. Deserts: mango cream with ice cream a nd coconut crumbles. Exceptional service too

A sensational experience overall. The terrace is absolutely beautiful and makes for a perfect, quiet spot for lunch away from the bustle of Split. The atmosphere is serene, and it’s easy to lose track of time just soaking it in. The food is truly outstanding — every dish was bursting with flavour, and the desserts were nothing short of phenomenal. Easily some of the best we’ve had in Split. That said, the service could use some refinement. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we received little to no table maintenance, which took away slightly from the otherwise excellent experience. Still, DVOR is an absolute must-go for anyone visiting Split. Come for the terrace, stay for the food, and don’t miss the desserts. (The wine list is also accomplished)

Nice refined restaurant. My partner ordered lamb chops and he really enjoyed it. There were not a lot of vegetarian options, there were some side dishes and they also offer pasta and risotto with tomato sauce and vegetables. I ordered the risotto, it was nice but it didn't have a wow factor. Nevertheless, I ordered the lotus dessert and it was AMAZING, that was the experience I was looking for, a great combination of textures and flavors. I highly recommend it :)

The hostess that greeted us was very kind, our server was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We decided to do the tasting menu, as we wanted a little bit of everything. EVERY bite was delicious, great portions, and they were served in a very leisurely manner. It was perfect. A bit expensive, but worth it. if you want a true Croatian food experience, I highly recommend treating yourself here.

Absolutely amazing small bar. Reserve if you are able to. The music was great and very neat inside. This was one of my favourite spots in old Dubrovnick and a little hidden gem.

Disappointed. They play some cozy music, but don't expect performances. They're definitely not a regular occurrence. A bit of an awkward visit really. They told me there's no menu, although I see the menu in front of me in the shape of an old book. Their offer is limited and they lack lots of stuff. Coffee machine was out of order. No hot beverages. One type of rum. Guinness and some other beers. Service wasn't hospitable, especially not with the menu situation. Because of that prices were unclear and it's rather expensive. It has a small patio. Imo this is basic hole in the wall bar to have a quick drink and go. Definitely not a jazz bar whatever they say

A quaint and cozy place which offers live music on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Hidden gem tucked in a small alleyway. We found it with the help of Google direction. The jazz was good, the menu itself is a fun read. The courtyard has the view of somebody's terrace and laundry which was kind of funny. When it was busy the music can fade into the background but overall, a very nice place to chill out.

Great atmosphere! Very cozy place with different seating areas. We played some chess and there was live music. The service made my favorite cocktail for me on request: old fashioned.

Lovely little jem hidden in the old part of the town, so cozy and warm. Excellent selection of drink, very friendly staff. Perfect for relaxing and appreciating Roman architecture. You can enjoy a game of chess or read of the books from their library

I drink flat white coffee, I chose Ethiopian beans, but apparently an inexperienced barista did it for me, because there is no late art, the milk is poorly churned, the temperature is low. The coffee made by the barista is not worth the price of 6€.

We were hoping for a couple of excellent flat white coffees. They were pretty good, with the right strength, but just lacked the creaminess I was expecting. Perhaps it was because of the small “cup” it was in. The price was reasonable. There are a few tables inside and it is comfortable to enjoy your coffee. There is a toilet too.

Love this place! Tinel Split is nice, like Tinel in Trogir. You may choose type of beans. Good offer of drinks for the whole year. I like cappuccino and espresso-tonic here.

Very disappointing: coffee made without care, no latte art. We were told it was used Oatly as oatmilk, but it definitely wasn’t. The coffee tastes like nescafe, not what you expect from a specialty coffee shop.

The capuccino was great! Very high quality coffee and great plant based milk. There’s just a few options of food, so it’s not a place for full breakfast. The service was terrible. I first asked for a coffee to go and then changed my mind and asked if it was still possible to do it to drink at the place. The girl look at me and didn’t even reply to my question. She just gave me the coffee to go with a really bad humor. The atmosphere was ok, but good to remember that computer is not allowed, since there are just a few seats available.

Excellent coffee! The iced coffee is so good that i got two, and the caramel and strawberry syrups are amazing! Red haired girl is very kind and gorgeous!

Fantastic food, vibes and service. This is an excellent restaurant if you are a solo traveler because there is individual counter seating on the kitchen side of the restaurant (“split” into two buildings on two sides of the street) where you can watch the chef at work. Dinner and a show! Staff were friendly and genuinely seemed to be having fun. Great experience and delicious food. I had the squid and a cheese plate. Tiramisu looked amazing.

The place smelled amazing from the street and turns out it was coming from the place we had read about on several pages. My boyfriend got the veal liver and I got the hake with polenta. Both mains were tender and delicious and worth the wait. The place was busy. It has two locations across the street from another. The mood of the kitchen staff was jovial and relaxing. We really enjoyed our meal. We would happily come back here again.

Small, family run business with an amazing atmosphere and one of a kind vibe. Unfortunately, our own experience with the food was negative. My wife ordered the beef stew, and I the anchovies pasta. The beef stew was nothing but bones, fat and cartilage, so my wife couldn't eat it. The pasta was also not to our liking. The guys offered us kindly the drinks on the house, but i refused and paid the whole bill. We ended up eating somewhere else.

If you are looking for a small family-run restaurant with local dishes made with simple and fresh ingredients, then Villa Spiza is the place for you. It's quite a small restaurant, so it gets crowded very quickly however, we went there around 5pm and it was super quiet so we didn't have to wait. I ordered the Dalmatian Prosciutto, wich was served with bread, olives, salad, and the most amazing sun dried tomatoes I ever had in my life. The prosciutto was so tasty, I thoroughly enjoyed it and the portion was quite generous. As main, I had the tuna pasta which was so tasty, it honestly reminded me of the tuna pasta my mum makes at home back in Italy! Please be aware that payments are cash only, so make sure you have cash with you.

A lovely small family owned restaurant and heads up, it is cash only there. We enjoyed our very first meal in Split at this restaurant. I went for the sardines starter as never had them before and they were delicious! I then went for the calamari as my starter and it was a very unique meal that I enjoyed a lot! Service was great and I couldn't recommend this place more if fancy some home-style cooked meals!

This is a popular restaurant with no reservations. Food prepared is fresh and the items on the menu are available till the ingredients last. We had the Dalmatian prosciutto, fried squid and sea bass. The taste is quite fresh.

Amazing! Couldn't be better! I went for lunch today as my friend recommended me the place. I just entered the place and super nice guy approached me explaining the menu. Turned out he is the main chef! He helped me choose my food, was checking on me if I need anything and the food, oh my gosh! I had zubatac fish with mashed potatoes and swiss chard as a side dish. Everything was perfect, nice flavors, fresh, super nice seasonings. Pure orgasm. Must have when in Split, definitely. You can also watch the chef while preparing your food, they have open kitchen which is super cool.

We visited Brasserie on 7 everyday during our recent holiday in Split as it was nearby our hotel. The breakfast menu had a good variety of options available and I tried to have something different everyday. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is in a lovely location overlooking the water. The food was all great and the portions are very generous.

Massive fan of this place despite the 2 year old review. The staff here were extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Particularly the meats and cheese board: I found the meats here less salty than their Italian equivalents. The cheeses were excellent, especially the sheep cheese that paired perfectly with the fig jam.

I expected a tourist trap, but it totally wasn't. Great steak, great service (thank you Anita), great location/view and reasonable prices given the area. We went there twice and the quality was consistent on both occasions!

Brasserie on 7 is a beautiful spot right on the Riva, perfect for enjoying the sea view while having lunch. We ordered the Caesar salad and the lamb — both were good. The salad was fresh, but maybe lacks some ingredients, and the lamb was well cooked and very tender. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are a bit higher than some other places in Split.

Possibly one of the best breakfasts of my life - I had the brasserie breakfast which was 'smaller portions' of both the shakshuka eggs and french toast. Seemed like full portions to me, but I finished the lot. Unreal. We got vouchers with our hotel stay (hotel agava - also great) so I'm already looking forward to the same again tomorrow!

We were really disappointed with parts of the meal: • The beef tartare was poor in both taste and presentation – definitely not worth €32. • The Caesar salad lacked flavor. • The chicken add-on (extra €6) had a strange taste. • The Caesar dressing was watery and bland. However, after we politely shared our feedback, the staff removed only the items we didn’t enjoy from the bill – which we found to be very fair and professional. Service throughout was extremely friendly and attentive. While the food didn’t fully meet our expectations, the way our concerns were handled earns them 4 stars.

The food was great we ordered two pizzas and some burgers. It was delicious, juicy and savory. Joseph (our waiter) is an AMAZING waiter. He was attentive, personable, and funny. He provided amazing service and made the whole dining experience an enjoyable one. Absolutely ask for him when you dine here! Could not recommend enough!!!

We had a wonderful lunch here. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I am a coeliac and I need to eat gluten free, which was clearly indicated on the menu and there were a number of options for me. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The service was impeccable, as was the setting and the ambience. (They even laughed at my husband's jokes 😄). I would certainly recommend you check out this restaurant if you are ever in Split, Croatia. Thank you to the three, wonderful, staff members who served us 😊. The price I selected included a very tasty bottle of wine.

Our first night in Split and we were looking for something simple and easy. These folks absolutely hit it out of the park. The wife had what basically in America would be a calzone, and I had a cheese pizza added prosciutto, and both of them were absolutely fantastic! Homemade pizza crust garlic bread was fantastic as well. Had a couple of drinks and the bill was quite reasonable! Highly highly recommend, oh yeah, the view and setting is spectacular as well.

Very nice restaurant with breathtaking view! Super cool they have tables outside because you can enjoy the view. The lobster was perfect - homemade koculanski makaruni was also super tasty! Fish stew was quite low- lack of taste, lots of bones in fish and lack of spices - honestly the dish quite average. But in general, I recommend this restaurant. Staff was super friendly and polite

The food was perfect. There was live music all the time and it had such a great atmosphere. Our waiter, Božo, was the best, both me and my friend asked for recommendations and he didn't miss. I really liked the burger and the lamb. All desserts tasted amazingly and a very pleasent experience overall.😀

Everything was great..the food was amazing, the drinks were nice, and the service was impeccable. We had "Mrva" as waiter and he made sure multiple times that everything was to our liking. All tourists should pay this place a visit while in Split.

Nice cafe near the beach. Coffee and pastries are good. Plant based milk is much appreciated. Young English speaking staff with a nice choice of music (although it was too loud for my liking). I had to work during my holiday so I sat in there with my laptop for half a day (WiFi provided). Be aware it closes early at 14:30 on Sundays but stays open till 23:00 during the week. Thank you.

!!No ice cream sold at the moment!! I went to this place yesterday because I was told that they have good ice cream. I asked for the flavors and found out they don't sell ice cream these days. I loved it here so much I went back multiple times during my stay in Split. The owner is so kind and her baked goods (cookies, small cakes, tarts, muffins) are beautifully crafted and taste even better than they look, and they look like a work of art! You can tell is made with love and passion for crafting beautiful and delicious sweets, they also have ice cream and different coffee drinks. The interior is designed lovely and it’s all around really nice place to have a cake and coffee.

I came here multiple days in a row for a coffee and a cake. Their offering sometimes switches. Some days fresh cinnamon rolls. I had eclair here, along with various cakes. The owner and everyone working here are super hospitable. It's a chill place to relax, away from the old town. There's good WiFi and tables to sit or do some reading on the chairs near the window. In the weekend it gets busier.

Excellent! Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Split! Their ice cream is amazing and their pastries extra delicious! I recommend the pistachio ice cream! Creamy and tasty! We loved it and went back a few times! Very reasonably priced and the staff were all friendly!

After 20min we mange to get attention to make order,terrace was not fully busy,table dirty spilled beer ,hairs and……. ,cleaned table by myself in front of waiter.Order two coffee with whipped cream and received nothing related coffee with cream.Staff is not impressed with his current occupation. Great terrace to enjoy something to drink. You’ll have a beautiful view of the water underneath umbrellas. The service was okay, but not too friendly. The ice latte was also just okay, it could have had more ice, it turned warm pretty fast.

I had the hake with potato mouse which was really nice and good portion for the price. My friend had the chicken which was nice she just wishes there was an option of veg to have with it. The service was perfect and waiters were eager to help. Lovely mojitos too.

Nice café right on the Riva. When it’s not too busy you have a perfect view of the water. Otherwise it’s great for people watching. It’s a bit more pricey than other coffee places but not much and definitely worth it considering the view.

I have visited many coffee shops around the world and have to say this coffee was one of the best I’ve had! Both the Flat White and Cappuccino were done in perfection every time I visited. If I would live closer I would come by regularly! Keep up the amazing work! Well done

We had a very disappointing experience here and definitely will not return. For starters, we ordered the soup and the codfish spring roll. The spring roll was the only decent thing we had crispy, flavorful, and well done. Unfortunately, the soup was a complete letdown. It was bland and absolutely no richness or depth you’d expect from a restaurant charging these prices. For mains, I had the squid ink risotto and my husband had the Angus beef. After our starters, we were left waiting almost 20 minutes for the mains. The risotto was dull, lacking any balance or seasoning, and had an unpleasant aftertaste. The Angus beef was chewy and poorly cooked, paired with mashed potatoes that were supposed to be elevated with truffle oil. As a country that actually produces truffles, this version was shockingly below standard flat, oily, and with none of the fragrant quality you’d expect. Service made the experience even worse. We were given a completely different menu from another table, which left us questioning whether there was some form of bias or discrimination happening. And when we asked for the bill, a female server simply pointed her finger at my original (male) server, refusing to assist and continuing her personal chat instead. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable for a place that positions itself as “above average.” Overall: long waiting times, overpriced dishes, inconsistent menus, poor service, and food that is far below the mark in flavor and execution. One good spring roll can’t save an otherwise awful dining experience.

Bokeria in Split is a beautiful restaurant with a stylish and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a special place. The presentation of the dishes is excellent — everything looks amazing and carefully prepared. However, while some plates taste just as good as they look, others don’t quite deliver the same “wow” factor once you try them. Prices are on the higher side compared to other spots in Split, so it’s definitely more of a treat-yourself place. Overall, Bokeria is worth visiting for the ambiance and experience, but not every dish lives up to its presentation.

Truwel and prosciutto pasta was delicious, Caesar salad needed more sauce. Soup was ok, byt nothing special; soparnik is really good here, recommend it. Amazing wine (local chardonney). Service is very good and attentive.

Sat upstairs by a window. This place was really good. Everything was executed perfectly. The sea bass with the cauliflower puree was a great combo. Dont skip soparnik either for the appetizer!! Would 1000% return. Great location in the old center of Split

Had a great sea bass meal here this evening - very reasonably priced. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and a great vibe atmosphere. Without doubt, if you are into Croatian wine, this is THE PLACE in Split to visit. They have over 160 Croatian wines to choose from, ~30 of which you can buy by the glass. I had a Grk, Pošip sur lie, and a dessert wine all from Croatia - the first two with my sea bass. All were excellent!

This restaurant charmed us completely! The historic setting with its gorgeous interior made dinner feel special. Food was delicious - modern takes on Dalmatian classics with perfect execution. Their wine list impressed us with excellent local options we wouldn't find elsewhere.

went with 3 friends and had a great time. the food was some of the best we’ve had, especially the steak. the black ink risotto was also perfect. Our server was very polite, however we felt like we were being rushed a small bit by how often he came to refill our wine glasses. We had such an incredible experience at Lvxor in Split! Tucked right in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace, the setting is absolutely magical, but what really stood out was the food and service. We ordered both pizza and pasta, and they were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff made the evening even better. They were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome without ever being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that delivers equally on atmosphere, food, and service, but Lvxor does it flawlessly. If you’re in Split and want an unforgettable meal, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Unbeatable location near palace. Seats on cushions overlooking courtyard but we elected to sit inside in lovely airy two story room. Brunched on scrambled eggs on guacamole which was spicy and delicious although unrecognizable to someone from Oaxaca. Service good. Very relaxing way to start the day.

We had the most magical evening at this restaurant. The atmosphere was truly beautiful — live music filled the air, people were dancing outside, and the location couldn’t be more perfect, with a stunning view that made everything feel cinematic. The food was excellent: beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Krešo, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even more special. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming, which added to the charm of the night. It honestly felt like stepping into a movie — full of nostalgia, joy, and connection. This restauran (restaurant to my friends) has the glorious atmosphere of a castle with walls of ancient stone. The service is impeccable. They could not do enough to accommodate our tastes; I requested a small mixed salad, off menu, and a most delicious well appointed rather large salad appeared. The Teramisu was outstanding. The pasta with an octopus ragu, outrageous. And there is live music playing an unending assortment of American music (yeah, I know) in the plaza at the door. A perfect, late night Sunday dinner.

We had breakfast vouchers from the hotel we stayed at. At the restaurant, we were given a set menu that could be used to order breakfast using the vouchers. All 3 options include coffee or tea and orange juice. All 3 options are not vegetarian. I asked our server if they could skip the salmon and add more vegetables to my option. Our server was nice enough to work with the chef and make me a vegetarian option. I was pleasantly surprised that they were so accommodating! My breakfast was lovely and I got a great start to explore Split.

This a must-visit restaurant in Split. It’s right by the Dioclesian Palace which made us nervous it would be a tourist trap but it turned out to be the best meal of our Croatian adventure. Fabulous food, delicious wine, a lovely setting and attentive and helpful staff. Highly highly recommend!

Wonderful place ( check inside..) in the center of old city… A sublime restaurant in the heart of the magnificent Lemuria resort, overlooking the sea and the magical Anse Georgette. Attentive staff, excellent cuisine, and very good value for money! Exceptional💕 And to make the most of the location, I read Honesty Bar (found on Amazon french and english version), a great thriller without violence!😎

Very average experience at Konoba Varos, the whole thing just feels extremely tired. Food was tired, service was tired and the decor is also very tired. Traditional restaurant, we thought that ordering a traditional čevapi in a traditional Croatian restaurant would yield a great result. Unacceptably, the said čevapi was served with ordinary bead (vs Balkan bread), which I have never seen before in any Croatian restaurant anywhere. Lazy. On the other hand, the salad was diversified and fresh, very good vegetables. Service was unenthusiastically done because it had to, not because it wanted to. The fish soup and grilled lamb chops were decent. Sitting outside was a really nice vibe. Service was a bit slow. Waited 15minutes for the bill.

Stop in the day before a planned meal here and pre-order the Peka. Lamb, Veal or Octopus. Not sure why other reviewers complained about the service, our waiter was super friendly and attentive. Just prepare yourself for long waits, is all. Our reservation was at 730pm, but didn't eat our Peka until almost 830pm. Enjoy the experience and just relax people!

We absolutely loved this place. Authentic and tasty Croatian dishes and their menu has a variety of options. We ordered their lunch special (10am-5pm) which was Sarma only for €10. We came back here twice for it, it’s a must try for a traditional Croatian dish. The service was excellent, and the servers are kind. I would also say it’s affordable for the portion and quality (although it can be pricey for dishes like pašticada).

Dining here felt less like a meal and more like attending a masterclass in how to take money from tourists. Spoiler: they’re experts. The food showed up late and lukewarm, like it had hitchhiked its way from another kitchen. The steak? Absolute comedy gold. For more than €30, we got a sad little piece of meat – they didn’t even bother asking how we wanted it cooked – plonked in the middle of a plate so big I thought they were about to serve a roast pig. Instead, there it was: a lonely chunk of beef the size of a wart. The service had all the warmth of a parking ticket. Rude, slow, and delivered with that special flair that says: “You’re a tourist, so who cares?” As for value for money… let’s just say I’ve had more satisfying meals out of a gas station sandwich machine. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, one of the waiters spent the night staring at my daughter before asking for her phone number. She’s twelve. Twelve. That’s not unprofessional, that’s a whole new level of creepy. In the end, the only thing they really served well was the bill. I walked out just like my ex-wife left me: with an empty wallet and a broken heart. ⭐☆☆☆☆ (one star, because leaving zero isn’t an option).

We ordered the restaurant’s signature octopus stew, expecting a taste of traditional flavors, but unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The octopus lacked freshness, with a texture that was anything but pleasant. What made the experience worse was the staff’s attitude—when we politely raised our concern, the waiter insisted that “this is normal.” Perhaps here, “traditional cuisine” means serving stale seafood with a side of denial. For travelers seeking authentic local food, this is certainly a meal to remember—but not for the right reasons.

Do you want to feel unwelcomed?...we've got just the place! Remember that feeling when you stumble into your sibling's room and even though they are not there themselves you still feel the looming presence of "YOU SHOULD NOT BE HERE!!!" atmosphere. Well - you can relive your childhood memories in Konoba Varos... From the first moments when we were browsing through the menu preparing to place our order we realized that asking for a tap water to quench our thirst in a meanwhile was a mistake. Not only we were refused since this reputable establishment served paid options only, but the service went downhill from that unfortunate episode. Every interaction with the waitress was not-so-hospitable to say the least. The great difference between 'serving a meal' and 'dumping damn plates on the table' was a unique style of our food consumption (I can't call it a dinner) experience. The restaurant setup and decor is more or less good. The food was mediocre: Pašticada, Escalope Zagreb style and Bolognese were okay - nothing to complain about, but also not a memorable and definitely not a finger licking experience. And if you decide to order some grilled veggies on a side expect a small plate of those for Eur 6.5 - I guess if these were at least presented better it wouldn't be as much of a disappointment (see the picture). Summary: Konoba Varos - never again. P.S. oh yes - apparently upon settling your bill remember - saying 'No' when you are offered to add some tips means 10% are 'accidentally' added. Where the answer 'Yes' going to bring you - one can only guess. Good luck :)

We've been visiting the top 50 cocktail bars in the world. This place isn't on the list but should be. Genuinely the best cocktails I've ever had. The One Beer and Brown Sugar were out of this world. Also awesome service and uber cool atmosphere. We'll be back!

Amazing place, came in by accident since the place we were looking to visit was closed. This turned out to be our luck as this place is simply amazing, the coffee was really good, the brunch items both tasty but also beautifully presented, so nice in fact that I was sceptical about eating the yogurt, I didn't want to stir everything on the plate. The service was friendly and helpful, no problem with a small change of a menu item, food and drinks came fast and served with a smile and friendly words. Love this place, will come again.

Fantastic breakfast @ The Daltonist. €12 brunch menu was delicious and filling. Can recommend the Shakshuka focaccia & Yogurt bowl. Great service. Cosy environment, while they played chilled hip hop vibes. ** Back on an evening. Didn't disappoint. Soothing chill vibes, smart cocktails, cold beers. Yes. I'll be back.

We loved this bar! It was decorated so nicely inside and had some very delicious and unique drinks. We also got the dates of paradise and they were exceptional!

Unfortunately, I didn’t like it at all. I would rate the food -10/10. I ordered shakshuka, but unfortunately it turned out to be a classic expectation vs. reality case… The first photo shows what I received, the second one shows what a proper shakshuka actually looks like 🙌🏼There wasn’t enough tomato sauce, which is the very base of this dish, even though it was clearly listed in the menu (photo attached as well). My partner had the English breakfast, but sadly it wasn’t worth the money either – the sausages weren’t tasty, and the mushrooms were over-peppered. The only thing we actually enjoyed was the coffee. Unfortunately, the service was also below expectations. When we expressed our opinion about the “shakshuka,” the waiter simply said, “it happens, sorry,” and that was it. I believe that in a good place, the service should be on a higher level, with an actual solution offered. In short, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Another gem in Split, together with String's Bar. Lovely service, great atmosphere and incredible cocktails! The carrot cake one was to die for! I loved the mix between the yogurt foam and the actual cocktail, it was such an enjoyable drink. So easy (maybe too easy!!) To drink. My partner had the amaretto sour which was incredible!Definitely recommend this spot in you are in Split!

Had a lovely breakfast here! The juices were super fresh, and the toasts were delicious. We tried the shakshuka and focaccia bread—both flavorful and satisfying. Great way to start the day! It is both hearty and vegetarian-friendly.

Great location, very nice to sit here and enjoy the view but the food is not that special and kinda overpriced, which can be expected for a place at this location. The service was not so great. It was a while before we got served and afterwards the waiter told us we couldn’t split the bill (you can only pay with cash here). That was not so bad but then he said that we had to pay the exact amount because they didn’t have enough change money. This sounded like a lie seeing that we were there around 16:30 which means they had many costumers before us.

Perfect spot to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere of the waterfront. Whether it’s a strong espresso or a refreshing cold drink, everything tastes better with the view of boats passing by and people strolling along the promenade. Relaxed vibe, great location, and the ideal place to soak in the charm of the area.

Came for the day to Split and out of all the options of restaurants for a diabetic, I had the St Riva burger without the bun which was delicious, my complaint: asking for a huge glass of ice with tap water for a diabetic was told that THEY DON’T have tap water that I would have to buy a bottle at highway robbery prices! So I asked “how do you wash your dishes then? Replied, with warm water! Bring your own water bottle from the store or tisak! Food good, service for WATER needs improvement!

Stopped just for drinks. Priced reasonable for the location. Long island ice tea did not stint on the measures. Service was good. Table and seating area clean.

Please save yourself the headache and stay away. Terrible, inattentive service. They got over half the drinks at our table incorrect and conveniently for them, they mistook them for more expensive drinks. We tried to order more drinks that just never came. They named a price for our bill without giving us a receipt, and when we objected they became aggressive. When we did get our receipt it was 15€ less than the amount we were originally told. It’s clear that they prey on tourists here and make up prices based on what they think they can get away with. Really disappointing and distasteful.

Lunch was good service from the young gentleman very good, went back for dinnerservice crap had to get up ask for a second beer many of the staff sitting at table having a break when cafe 90% full. No staff served us after reieving food, had to go to till to pay was told to find our waiter, obviously not for the locals ascthey think the tourists will only come once and dont need repeat business. My wife and I stopped by yesterday, as we had to try some of their amazing looking treats. We were so glad we did - delicious. This place only has limited seating inside, but there are places outside to sit on a ledge to share a treat...or one for each. Without a doubt, their cinnamon rolls are worth the trip - amazing. We tried another treat (olive oil cake) and it was also delicious...and like a small piece of art. The service was great and the decor was definitely next level. I highly recommend this place for a treat. Thanks.

This cafe has a very very nice atmosphere and was delicious! I had the salted caramel cheesecake and it was absolutely amazing- and my cafe latte was very very nice, with a smooth creamy flavor that was lovely. The whole cafe has a beautiful interior design, very pretty decorations, a friendly staff, and is in a great location! I was very happy to find this cafe!

What a great little pastry shop. Only 3 tables available inside, no outside seating. Located near the Croatian National Theater. If I hadn't been looking for it specifically, I would have just passed by it. I saw a couple of people sitting inside through a closed door and wasn'teven sure if the place was open. You cannot see the desserts from the window, such a shame! Quite a contrast to hundreds of ice cream shops downtown where the desserts are on display inviting you to buy something. Apparently a lot of people order take out. Went in on a weekday, 1 hour before closing so they only had 3 types of cake available, but at least you know they're fresh. And delicious.

The lemon cake was incredible, not too sweet and the almond coating worked so well with the flavours! It was so difficult choosing what to have as the cakes looked amazing!!

That was the most unexpected and delicious treat we bought in Split! I googled pastry shops in the evening and found this place. We came in 7 minutes before they were closing, chose 3 cakes from the leftovers and ordered some tea to go. The worker was very kind and open, the cakes were amazing, fresh, tasty and made from high-quality ingredients, the herb tea was something out of this world. We tried to find some similar tea online - couldn't find any :(

View and coffee are good but not amazing. The best part is the view. Probably good for a couple of afternoon beers after a swim. The service is also a bit confusing. Sit down, and wait for a waiter. The menu is only for drinks and should already be on the table. Also, be aware that they do not offer food here.

Dogs are not welcome, not even little quiet educated dogs. We came to the renewed caffee on the eve of May 1st. Caffee terrace was not full, but as we had a dog they said we could take drinks and sit on the bench in the park near the caffee. I know that many children, drunk guests can't be even compared to our nice and quiet dog who doesn't even leave any hair as it's a poodle and it was freshley hairdressed. So we kindly thanked for the pleasure of being seated in the park. The waiter was young and nice and he apologized, so the critics goes to the owners. I had a drink there without a dog before, but I haven't thought they have the policy of excluding dogs. I know there will be other guests coming - I only wish they would be as quiet and well educated as my dog.

Almost like a big food truck and then seating next door with a view of the beach. Chairs were packed when I got there on the weekend, but there’s lots of benches and ledges to sit and enjoy your drink. The espresso I got was pretty good.

I came in the bar place with my dog, he was on the leash. my dog is retired rescue dog 14 years old, he does not bark or do anything active. The bartender told me that he will not serve me if im with the dog. Shame on you all, you call yourself a Europe, Albanian coast is Malaga for you.

Sweet spot, great place to chill, good prices,creative, good vibe. Toilet unfortunately is a minus, but im sure it's not their fault as many people who are on the local beach are using it due to a fact that most popular Split beach, Bačvice, has no public toilet close by.

We spent many an evening here in the our holiday - it’s a great place to come for affordable drinks in the heart of Split. Great views too! The young man serving is a legend - knew our order of by heart by the end (lol). He’s a hard worker! Cash only too.

They don't do food. Drinks only. Lovely relaxing place. Nice birds eye view from a small place looking onto the "marina." Imagine it's pritty cramped when full, but mid day there was plenty of space. Stopped here for a few spites before heading straight into the forest. Lovely stop break from the heat. It has fans outside, which was very welcome. Lovely place.

Having been coming here for many years each time I come on holiday. I think is possibly one of the best bars in Split and certainly in this part of the old town. It has a lively view over the bay and the movement in the harbour. Great drinks and good service always. This can be busy but there is a fair amount of seating. Cocktails and beers are available. Highly recommended.

The bartender made a drink wrong so that it tasted only like salt (it was supposed to be a sweet drink). When we asked about it, he was very rude and blamed us for this mistake. He finally agreed to make us an another, different drink but told us that that drink would be our last. The way he handled the situation really ruined our experience. They also made us pay for the second drink instead of the first one even though the second drink was a bit more expensive than the first one would have been. They only accept cash.

I come to this cafe since i was a student. Great view, great atmosphere, great service. You can also watch a football game when available.

Been coming here for years. Decently priced coffee (given the inflation in Split), and super friendly staff. They love when you speak Croatian and support Hajduk at this local-filled pub. They also offer fruit teas and smoothie type drinks now. This is one of my serious go-to spots in the city, happy to keep supporting them and some of the best vibes you can get.

Super friendly and welcoming staff. Went in the morning to do work on my laptop/computer and the place was empty and wifi was strong. Only downside is no food and the coffee is good but not the best. That being said it is a cafe-bar so it’s not supposed to really have food.

We were a group of three visiting on a weekend evening and were lucky to get a table without a reservation. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. The menu is extensive, with a solid variety of dishes and a great selection of wines—especially the Dalmatian ones, which were a highlight. We ordered a few different items. Portions were generous, and everything was well presented. The fig jam was a highlight! While the quality was clear, the other flavors fell a bit subtle, most dishes leaned on the blander side. Maybe they tried to make it go well with wine, not sure! That said, it's a great spot for a laid-back evening with good wine and easy vibes. Would definitely come back for the overall experience.

We felt so grateful to find this place in Split. It’s a bit apart from the city centre, with a great patio to enjoy warm nights with friends. They offer a great variety of wines, as the owner has great interest on them. The food is also carefully prepared, we ordered some tapas and a steak sandwich to share. But what made the night was a very gentle nice and funny Inter, which made us great recommendations and offered a really cool time. Just missed to tried the pasta 🫶

I went there with great excitement. This place has a v nice ambiance. It is only worth having a drink. We ordered our food and drinks. After 20 minutes, the waitress comes back and says that she forgot what we ordered. We mentioned our order again. After about 45 minutes, they brought a different item which we didn't order. Then they about a totally wrong food again! The third time, my friend had their food while I was waiting. About 90 minutes in waiting, the waitress brought a totally different item to me and said that they are out of salad and chicken (which is what I had ordered) and this is the only item for me. To be honest, I ate a little bit of it, and neither of those things were what I eat or like! It is a very badly managed place. As a serious foodie and reviewer, I would urge them to either close down or completely stop serving any food. They should continue only as a bar. I will not recommend this place for food to anyone. It is a gamble. You should go there only for a drink and walk somewhere else nearby for food. For the first time in my life, I waited for almost 2 hours in a restaurant and was offered food that I neither ordered nor liked. Of course, they didn't charge me for food. However, it left a v bitter taste in my mouth. It is a very poorly run place that is not worth the time or money of foodies. Unfortunately, one star is the minimum for food and service. Otherwise, I would rank it zero. As an international traveler, it is not a pleasant memory from a lovely city that has so much to offer.

Lovely place and really good food. However I had read in the reviews that it was good for vegetarian options and hence I took my vegetarian friend there but sadly it wasn't true. The vegetarian options were pretty poor and my friend ended up eating a salad and being hungry afterwards.

Just outside the old town. We came here for a dinner. Good service and nice atmosphere. We ordered pasta and fish, both are tasty. Price is very reasonable in comparison with those over-priced restaurants inside the old town

We spent three days in Split, and Restaurant Soul was by far the best dining experience we had in the city. Such a great little restaurant with top tier ambience. Great wine selection as well! Wife and I shared the Soul Tapas (must have), carbonara, and pistachio pasta.

This was one of our best meals in Split. My friend and I were sat at the adjoining bar the night before and the food looked and smelled so good that we decided to come back and try it the next night and it did not disappoint! I got the nachos, my friend got the chicken burrito salad and both were amazing. My nachos had a nice big serving of guacamole which is always nice as most places are stingy with it. The drinks were incredible, my coconut margarita was so delicious I had to get a second! Our waitress had the most fantastic energy as well and provided great service.

Amazing food super filling we were a party of 3, we brought the nachos to share and a main each I had the burrito and my fiends had the burrito salad, very filling. Party vibes throughout and an extensive cocktails list with lots of different margaritas. The staff are super lovely and fun, music throughout the experience would recommend for just drinks as well !

Sanctuary Cantina is a really cool little bar and restaurant, with friendly staff and a great vibe. We had one of the best Mexican meals we've ever had l and we've eaten it all over the world, including Mexico! We had vegetarian quesadillas, pork burrito, chicken red enchilada, vegetarian red enchilada and Mexican rice (unfortunately I only took photos of the quesadillas and burrito because we devoured everything so quickly!). Everything was full of flavour and just the right balance if spice (you can spice things up if you want too). We would definitely come again if we were in Split again.

They have a huge Margarita selection and every single one is perfect🍸plus the Wet Burrito is always a good choice🤤 My favorite part? The bartenders already know what I’m drinking the moment I walk in🤭 Perfect place for themed parties (Halloween, maškare...), with amazing staff who spread good vibes to everyone around... Definitely one of my top spots in Split!💃🥂

The best Mexican food in Europe! I’ve been to Split a few times and every time Sanctuary is my first stop: the food is amazing, the cocktails are delicious, and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I’ve loved everything I’ve had here but I highly recommend the wet burrito, pork quesadilla, and the spicy margarita

This is a very fun Mexican restaurant located in the city centre. Our waitress was lovely and helpful. I loved the diverse and delicious selection of mocktails they offer. The food was good too, but I found the nachos disappointing as there was hardly any meat in them. The seats are pretty uncomfortable, too.

We came to this place the first night we got to Split. It was one of the places that was still open at night. We were not disappointed. I am from California and Mexican-American. So I know Mexican food. The carnitas tacos were legit. I was pleasantly surprised. If you are craving Mexican food in Split, go here.

Cash only. Ideal location for people watching and watering your thirst. Aperol was top notch, cappuccino and americano were strong enough. We got introduced to Limincelo which is a fizzy yummy drink, recommended by our lively waiter.

In my 4 days visit of Split been coming to this place 3 days. All good. Jolly good people. Except the last time i happened to come at their closing time. Instead of just saying the usual "sorry we are closed" this guy rudely pointed the door. If you ain't serving switch off the lights of the bar. Bad sport.

Great bar by an amazing owner managed by very kind personnel! Interior is cosy (mostly wood). Recently became a 'local' and I go there for a morning coffee, an afternoon beer or something stronger when the DJ booth is active on weekend nights. I almost don’t want to write this review to gate keep but I have to share the love. The ambiance and vibe of this place is so curated to a beautiful comfortable level. Everything well thought out from the vinyls and magazines to the red dim lighting and seating areas. It’s relaxed but you’re so excited to be in there. It’s not pretentious and service is on point. Makes me feel like I’m in the west village manhattan having a drink and chat with friends. A true local spot. And the owner is from Croatia - very nice and hospitable. ASC <3

Such a great atmosphere but sadly they only had 4 cocktails options (the waiter did not even know how to describe them), payment only in cash which is annoying if someone is only visiting (should be written outside!). La Linea is great with comfortable chairs, cheap drinks, and good sports on the television. First time I ever watched rock climbing in a pub and loved every second! Cash only, no dark beers.

Came here with my friend from Kastela and lots of locals come to this place. Tucked away from the tourstic bars/area this was a nice place to hangout and have drinks. Also it closed at midnight but bartender didn't kick everyone out right away which was chill.

Nice bar mostly crowded at night but the prices are a lot more affordable than most bars in the area. Cocktails are good and staff is nice. It’s pretty loud either outside or inside but the party spirit is there. The payment is cash only !

The establishment is a charming café. Although coffee beverages such as lattes and cappuccinos have not gained significant popularity in Croatia, I desired a properly prepared latte and embarked on a search for one. The initial attempts were not entirely satisfactory, prompting me to request extra-hot lattes, which resulted in a perfect beverage.

Good service. I was there for a quick coffee on the go. I got a cold brew which was really nice and the people there were very kind. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. I really enjoyed the experience!

In such a touristy place like Oldtown Split, it’s hard to find freshly-ground pour over coffee. Thankfully D16 exists. They have their own blend/roast, which is amazing. This location (Unique) only serves beverages to go; if you want food, there’s another one 4 minutes away with space to work. The service was impeccable.

If you’re looking for specialty coffee, THIS is the place to go in Split. The roast was delicious and my iced americano was perfect! Service was friendly and a cute spot for pictures outside the front.

This Procaffe in comparison to others is in my opinion the worst. The atmosphere is not so great and it is noisy. Okay for a quick coffe stop.

A nice place for a cake and coffee. It is relatively cozy and quiet compared to the islands in the corridors of the shopping mall. Only the young staff pretends not to know what doppio or flat white means. Or maybe they really don't know?

Great coffee with excellent staff, great experience would recommend

After shopping we wanted to have some coffee. We sat down at Procaffee but nobody come to take the order. My husband went to the counter to order, but the guy over there said that we have to wait for his colleague to take the order. We saw the staff laughing and playing but nobody came to take the order. There were 3 or 4 tables waiting to be served. After waiting for almost 15 minutes we left. Wouldn't recommend, bad service!

Worst service we’ve ever had

It seems like during the small range period, this place has erected its own position on the market which was followed by remarkablly increasing prices, which in the cakes and sweets might mean double in the price. Apart from that, here are served really quality products.

Very bad experience, we waited for at least an hour just to be served a coffee and a slice of cake! As foreigners visiting Croatia we felt very bad treated, as every Croat people arriving after us had been served long before us, but as polite ( not to say stupid) people we waited It looked as if the waitress didn't like strangers and was decided to make us wait. Stopped for a smooth n tasty cappuccino, or two, and a nice slice of cheese cake. Staff were wearing masks most of the time. The fruit juice bar looked great and we saw a couple of fresh looking smoothies.

I always go there for breakfast. Just love the croissant with scrambled eggs and cheese. Delicious! It is not cheap but good quality. The croissant and fresh orange juice will cost you around 10€. The waitress are very friendly and it is a place with local costumers. The area to sit outside is great and though I have been there in the summer there are some fireplaces for colder days. For sure it is a great place to have a cocktail in the evening.

The place was beautiful during the night. Me and my friends went here during a Monday night in August and the place was full of people enhancing the vibrant nightlife of split. We ordered 3 rum cola realizing an interesting thing at the moment we paid the bill. They charged us rum and cola separately :| As y’all can wonder the price wasn’t low

smallest drink ever for 13€ I feel robbed of my joy I will never recover from this treason. This drink took me two sips to finish, very disappointed, they have videos on the tv of their drinks and they look normal sized. Not coming back here. Service was great, and they have wifi.

Do not order small coffee under any circumstances. It is literally what is in the picture and is priced at 2.8 euros (I hadn't even tried it at the time). On the other hand, the large coffee seems to be a normal coffee.

the staff are lovely and great service! The guy forgot our water so was very apologetic and even said he would get it for us in 10 secs, which he did! We had freshly made juices which were delicious, and a couple of cocktails which were very good and classy. It may be a little pricier but it’s worth it for the quality.

Always a pleasant experience. Right in the town centre, both quiet and lively with lots of tables, friendly and quick table service as well as some tasty snacks perfect for when you need an energy burst! It has expanded and added fancy decor.

Excellent caffe bar in Mall of Split. Located on the top floor it has an inside smoking area, inside non-smoke area and outside area too! Coffe is great and the service was good. They also have some special drinks and cakes!PS: Peacefull and quiet cafe.

They took ages to bring us our order and then they even brought us the wrong cake. Mistakes happen but the waiter wasn't able to bring us the right cake within the next couple of minutes. We were sitting right next to the cakes and he just didn't prioritise it. It's also comparably expensive. They know why they don't write the prices on the menu.

Just wanted to say the barista was beyond lovely welcoming warm and inspiring at 7 AM - “conquer the day” he said. Delicious coffee reasonably priced and a welcome change from some of my overly touristy - non authentic feeling experiences I had in split. Great place to start off your day on the right foot. Best cup of coffee we had during our two weeks in the Balkans. And we drank a lot. The owner was friendly and helpful! Love the cute hole in the wall set up that has two small tables attached to the doors. It also comes with a welcoming dog at the entrance that gets many pets from the locals.

Excellent, superb, espresso. Loved this place. I knew I was in for a treat when he asked what flavor profile I preferred. My kids liked watching the barista work and discard the pucks in a special little drawer. Can’t recommend enough. Lovely.

After a bad experience at another coffee shop in Split this place was just what I needed. After 2 weeks on holiday in Croatia the quality of the espresso here is the winner....by far. The barista (guy with the moustache) is friendly and knowledgeable. Been into espresso for over 20 years and enjoyed watching his technique (always looking for tips). Went in there in the afternoon and he recognised me from the morning and said he'd changed the bean he was using. That's a nice personal touch, particularly as I was a tourist and treated like dirt in another establishment. This place sometimes has a queue, for a reason, it's worth the wait.

Gorgeous food!!! We came back here 3 times while in Split. By far the NICEST food on the strip! Only noticed they did Bruschetta on our last visit which was annoying as they were the most GORGEOUS starter so would’ve loved to have had them more than once!! I had the Little Mermaid each visit and it got better each time. Food was reasonably priced, €16/17 for pizza, €16 for pasta, drinks around €6.50. Service was good and they always had a table available so were never waiting for long!

Stopped in for a meal a few nights ago and really enjoyed it. I had the pasta carbonara which was nice but felt it could’ve had a little more flavour to it. My partner had a pizza which delicious. We both had Pina coladas to drink which were strong and flavourful. To finish with dessert we both got the hot lava cake, which was definitely the highlight of the entire meal. It came with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream to add a nice mix of hot and cold, and the lava cake itself was runny in the middle, and full of flavour. Absolutely loved it. My only points to critique are that we felt very close to the table beside us, which had 2 quite loud men at it, meaning we felt very distracted as their conversation blended into ours. And also while the service was quite fast and efficient, the staff looked very uninspired and unhappy to be there. However as I stated we had a great meal and I would recommend.

One of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had, and unfortunately in Split, Croatia, of all places where service should shine. The problems here are deep-rooted — not just with the staff, but clearly with management and ownership. Staff members appeared unhappy, untrained, and uninterested, which is no surprise when the managers themselves set such a poor example. Instead of engaging with guests, staff lingered around in the kitchen, avoided responsibilities, and left basic standards completely neglected. The toilets were a disgrace — dirty, with no paper towels, and clearly ignored throughout service. Instead of maintaining them, staff were in the way, unhelpful, and in one shocking instance, one nearly pushed my wife aside as she tried to get to the bathroom. Politeness, smiles, or even basic courtesy were non-existent. What makes this even more frustrating is that all of it is fixable. With proper management, training, and leadership, this place could deliver a far better experience. Until then, it remains horrendous service, terrible oversight, and sadly one of the worst places iv been.

Very nice service. They suggested we sit indoors under the airconditioning for the comfort of my 3 year old. They promptly cleared up a table that the manager was using. The Mediterranean pizza was delicious and the ice coffee with Spits cream was excellent. Service was courteous. Thank you

Food was meh. Not very flavorful. Service was rushed and not as cordial & professional as we have experienced throughout our travels in Croatia. This was kind of to be expected being in an extremely tourist spot. Atmosphere would have been better if we were not seated at a table squeezed into a corner that had an odor. The view is beautiful. This is a turn n burn location. When I ordered a drink, a limoncello, the waiter brought a lemon spritzer. He did not offer to take it back.

Delicious Neapolitan pizzas that are super fresh and made within 10 minutes, slightly burned and super tasty just like authentic ones from Napoli. Great Greek salads, fast service and great views of the boulevard. Will return!

Stopped by and had a cold brew tonic - absolutely delicious!! This is one of my all time favorite drinks and go to orders whenever it’s available and this is one of the best i have ever had. My fiancée had the lemon ginger drink and it was delicious too. There is a little garden area next door and a tiny interior seating area, both were full up so we ended up just sitting on the little bench in front of the window and chilling on the street, which was still cool. Great spot.

Great coffee with excellent roasts. Both espresso and filter options are top-notch. The space is cozy with a very nice open patio, perfect for relaxing. One minor downside: by 4 PM, they didn’t have any food available, not even a cookie. Still, a great spot for quality coffee in a comfortable setting.

Small café near the Split city centre. Staff was very friendly and helped with choosing some beans for home brew. We did not see the small terrace / garden at first, as it is around the corner. I'll definitely come again when in Split :)

Nice little place. Just a couple of tables inside and a few couples outside. Minimalistic and cozy. Standard variety of coffee types, several available beans options. I had v60, it was good. A little bit expensive, though (7 euros).

We went here on a recommendation and we were not disappointed! Some truly great specialty coffee here. We had cappuccino and iced caramel latte and both were very good. There is a small garden seating outside to the left of the cafe and some limited seating inside. Place was very busy with people coming and going while we were here, the sign of good coffee is you ask me! Only negative point was that there were no pastries out on the counter (empty) so we had to go elsewhere for a croissant after.

We visited this coffee on a rainy day and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the service. When we arrived, it seemed like the indoor seating was full, but there were still a few empty chairs. We politely asked a female member if it was possible to sit outside, but her response was unexpectedly rude and unprofessional. Instead of simply saying no, she laughed out loud and said things like, “Where? Where? Will you sit on the sand?” – which felt quite disrespectful. Her tone and attitude were unnecessary. We told her we would take the coffee to go and waited by the bar. During that time, several tables became available as other customers left but she never offered us a chance to sit down, even though it was clear we were still there. The coffee itself was good – no complaints about the quality. But the service was honestly quite poor and left us with a bad impression.

Great little spot in the heart of Split! We stumbled upon Caffe Bar Nostradamus while exploring the city and ended up staying much longer than planned. The location is perfect — tucked behind the National Theater, with a cozy outdoor seating area that’s perfect for people-watching. The coffee was excellent (highly recommend the flat white), and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly and spoke good English. A perfect place to take a break, relax, and enjoy the vibe of the city. Would definitely come back!

This bar has an excellent location, perfect for enjoying a beer or a cocktail while soaking up the atmosphere of Split. The service from the staff was always top quality — friendly, fast, and attentive. We ended up using it as our “base camp” before heading out to any plan in the city, and it never disappointed. Great hidden spot We enjoy every single bit of this tasty creation, you know when you get home and from holidays and think “why I didn’t eat one more” that’s what I feel. I’m terrible with names but thank you to do the large cappuccino for me. You may need to wait couple of minutes but definitely worth it.

I don’t even know where to start. The place is a bit hidden as it is in a tiny side street, tucked away from the busy street right in front of the market and harbor. What immediately caught our attention was the cool interior with soul. It really has a special and unique charm and is a cozy, small space. We were greeted heartily by the owner who runs this gem of a restaurant. He brought us cold water with ice cubes and the menus. Here is the second thing: its a small card without a lot of options. It is a carefully crafted plan of curated meals and we would soon discover that Vinko had put a lot of love and attention into the creation of every single dish on that menu. Everything is farm to table which means that the majority of ingredients come from local shops and farms with which he works together. Spoiler Alert: We came back multiple times and tried almost everything on the menu. Everything is outstanding. Especially the breakfast bowls are magnificent. This dude runs the business with his heart and you can feel this in every breath of it. His attention and attitude towards clients, the interior, the music, clean bathroom, the food. The whole energy of the place radiates that he has made his passion a business. If you are looking for good and healthy food with curated ingredients and interaction with a local who knows his way around gastronomy, I can only recommend this place wholeheartedly. Friendliest staff! A little hole in the wall situation. We popped in for a cold drink to escape the 32c weather, and had a snack. Dua lipa ice cream was so surprisingly delicious. Bonus ✨ they have a banging playlist !

Tiny place but with quality ingredients. Located near the port, we had breakfast before the excursion to Hvar. Delicious yoghurt with fresh products and very tasty burrito, good combination of caramelised onion with tortilla and zucchini. Specialty coffee and they have vegetable milk. Very attentive and friendly staff. 100% recommended if you are in Split!

Lovely spot with really great customer service. Had the burrito, a matcha, and the dua lipa ice cream. All three were delicious, and you can tell a lot of care goes into how everything is made/making sure it’s done well. The dua lipa ice cream especially is a bit more unique, and the flavors compliment each other nicely :) overall highly recommend!

Super yummy food :) they don’t take crap from anyone and are very efficient but friendly. I grabbed lunch and relaxed there before getting my bus and it was perfect! Latte was delicious!!!!

Clearly diluted orange juice, mine was more watery lemonade than juice. Small avocado toast, the most basic I ever got. Waffle was drenched in sugary industrial topping. The Müsli was ok, even if the amount of fresh fruit was a bit scarce. What really annoyed me was that they refused to serve a coffee with almond milk or oat milk - we got a smoothie with almond milk in it (if prepared as stated in the menu), so why can't you put it in the coffee? Service was ok. Waiting time in a mostly empty place about 25 minutes. Disappointing experience. We went to feel Green yum paradise which is about 20% more expensive, but portions are much bigger and it's really fresh and tasty.

We had really bad luck, because every place we have chosen before coming here, was full. Next time is better to read latest comments!! DISAPPOINTMENT. First of all, mess at the table (they not even try to clean that) and super slow service. We started with drinks - ice tea with ton of sugar, ice coffe with pieces of old dry milk and coffee? Better if you choose coffee automat at bus station. Food wasn’t that bad, if you like to cook from semi-finished product. After all there was one positive thing, the experience. Never be too lazy to read some comments. Big up for marketing, turist trap at its best.

This is possibly the worst rip-off restaurant I've ever been in. I should have known from the get go, as when we entered the building the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming. After looking at the menu, we decided to order the English breakfast. There were no price's advertised, but we actually didn't pass to much heed, as we presumed the price maybe somewhat higher perhaps due to the location. The breakfast came out eventually and our faces dropped because it was very unappetizing in appearance on the plate. It was almost nothing that resembled an English breakfast e.g. chopped up hot dogs as sausages and the whole plate was covered in a layer of oil. I picked up one slice of mushroom and tried to eat it but simply couldn't. My wife could only manage to eat a half slice of bread. The cappuccino I ordered came out in a tiny cup with barely a month full in it. We got up to pay the bill and just leave, but the young man at the counter put a bill in front of me for €42. I actually thought he had made a mistake and was charging us in the Croatian currency, but he said no it's euro. Prior to this I was literally going to pay and leave, but I said you couldn't be serious as we never even ate the food. I said I was willing to pay half the bill which I thought was very reasonable . An older lady came out of the kitchen and was very, very rude and insisted we pay the full amount. She said in an aggressive tone you know what you ordered now pay for it .. I was annoyed and disheartened with her attitude and tone, but nevertheless, to avoid any further confrontation I paid the bill. Please be aware of this restaurant, the only thing that was actually worth paying for was the orange juice.. (Our bill is attached below, unfortunately due to annoyance we didn't think of taking a picture of the food)

Couldn't have had a better breakfast. I wish we found this sooner as we would have come back more times. The chocolate strawberry waffles were so good. The caramel latte was excellent as well. Staff super friendly.

These beautiful, tasty pancakes were only 6euros!!!! *CASH ONLY* Incredible. I expected 15 based on waterfront prices. This place is so cute, I will be back again and again :)

Very lukewarm Cocoa despite asking it to be very hot, and needed better mixing as there was cocoa bits at the bottom. Served with no sugar either. The positives is that it's nice and quiet inside, contrary to the noisy cafes. Also an outside seating place that is away from tourist traffic. Sockets inside for laptop charging.

decent food. cute restaurant. service was average. the complaint i have is that the server wasn’t the friendliest. i told her that i couldn’t pull up the menu from the QRS code and asked if there was a paper menu available. she proceeded to say (in a condescending tone) “it works for everyone else so i don’t know why it doesn’t work for you”. for her to make that comment was really unnecessary and somewhat insensitive. we’re tourists and come from many different locations, which means our cellar service can be unreliable. luckily my friend was able to view the menu but it would’ve been nice to have more support from the server. ordered the sweet waffles with forrest fruits…

Highly don't recommend. We wanted to buy a cappuccino there. The bartender told she don't have change for my cash. (What??) So we went out. The waiter run 100 meters.for us to tell that we ordered a cappuccino (what?) and that they will have a changr. So we went back. They charged 5 euro(36 kuna) for cappuccino (what??)

The best location to wait for boarding Hvar catamaran. Very important (for me, at least) there's always some kind of breeze at the outside patio, I appreciate that oh so much during those hell hot summer days. Staff is very nice, restrooms are small but tidy, all in all, I'm glad it's there :)

BE CAREFUL!!!!!! Cheating on tourists!!!!!!! We ordered Coffee and there were no prices at the menu. When we wanted to pay, the lady said 28 kuna for each coffee and she didn‘t want to give the check because check is just working after 10am. Haha good joke. Luckily other croatian people ordered coffee and got a check (what a miracle and that’s before 10am) so I went to their table and asked if I can see the price. After she recognized that, she came back and told me, that the check is now working and that she made a mistake with the price because she is new. But there are pictures on google showing her working their months ago... Just cheating and lying. So DON‘T GO THERE!

Don't go to this coffee shop if you don't speak croatian. He rips off tourists. I ordered 2 americano and 1 latte for my family. He didn't give us the bill and he said it will be 60 kuna or 10 euro. The barista seemed to be confused because of the price the owner called. After we paid, we sat down and felt it was bit expensive. We had three coffee at other stores in Croatia and it was only 4.50 euro. So we had a look at other tables receipts. He charged local people 9 kuna for hot coffee. I asked for our receipt to the owner and he seemed to be mad! He asked the barista to print the receipt and she was confused what to punch in. Of course. They don't have 3.30 euro americano in the store. I got the receipt saying our bill is 66 kuna. He left the shop for something so there was only one batista in the store who doesn't speak any English. We were going to complain. Not because of we want the difference. We don't want this to be happened to other tourists. We luckly had help from a local person who speaks English and saw the situation from the beginning. She translated what we said and the barista refunded some money to us. Don't go to this coffee shop who rips tourists off.

JUJU H is right - they cozen money from their clients. Just stay away from this place. My father ordered a double expresso and they didn't give him water so I went inside to ask for it. One of the staff member was very agressive. He maybe understood 5 words in English and he took my father's money and make him pay twice for the same coffee. He was blocking me when I wanted to talk to a barista (she was young and looked like she undersood what I was saying). When I came back to explain the situation, the agressive man started yelling at me and he kept saying the same words. Finally, I was able to talk to the barista and other member of the staff/the owner (I am not sure). They let me say everything and explain. It was a stressful situiation because this agressive man was still loud and he was interrupting me. They asked him when I came to complain and he was denying that I've ever been there before. After a while, they gave me my money back (but not all of it) just to make me stop complaining and talking about it. There are plenty different and better places nearby so if you want to avoid arguing with the agressive man, don't go there.

The staff are very rude. Even if you grab a drink in the bar, you can't use the seats. Only the bar chairs. It's easier to say what you can do than what you can't.

Good vegan pizza. Slow service.

This place doesn't exist anymore. Very disappointing..

Super
