A great meal. Feels home cooked. Service was fantastic. Not overbearing. Attentive to our slow pace. Great wine recommendations. Lams was delicious and meat fell off the bone. Tagliatelle was fresh and the Buratta was amazing.

This place is like ART. My little dessert eggs were just delightful. The food was great. Just don't get overambitious and over order. Freestyle means it's not made to any set traditional recipe, suits me fine - better than eating various iterations of the same thing, you finish all the traditional recipes in a short time in Croatia. Special mention to the wonderful politeness and respect given by the wait staff. Above the already high Croatian bar.

My boyfriend and I went here yesterday for dinner and were so amazed by the food! We passed by and thought it looked very cosy so decided to try. The food was so so good and without a doubt the best we’ve had during our whole vacation (which was 13 days). Our waitress was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. We loved every minute of it and would recommend it!!! Oh and I really loved my strawberry lemonade!!

Mala is incredible and made our dinner absolutely phenomenal! Each dish ordered was fantastic, we even requested to meet the chef and he was just so humble and kind. This was by far the best dinner we’ve had in all of Croatia, and we’ve been here for 7 days and went sailing to multiple islands and this was our BEST meal! Definitely recommend!

I don't know how to explain this place... don't hesitate and just go there. I had a sensational experience. Especially the "smoke on the water" and " ballad of the salted sea" were next level. I came there second time even more. People working there were super nice as well, highlight of my dinner experience in Splir.

The place is very nice, quiet, comfortable. But we were disappointed with the food. We ordered risotto with prawns, pasta and pork steaks. Meat was delicious,but the portion for 29€ is really small, there was no side dishes. Risotto was salty and full of sauce. But the dessert was delicious. We visited the restaurant several years ago and were happy and very satisfied with the food, sizes and prices. This time really big disappointment.

Mazzgoon is a charming restaurant offering both indoor and outdoor patio seating. This is a family run modern European food restaurant. We dined here in the evening on the patio. The weather was perfect. We were enveloped by the dim lighting and the history of the castle walls, a truly magical vibe. We truly enjoyed our dishes. Beautifully presented. The only disappointment was that the mussels were almost too salty to eat. Our waiter kindly explained they don't add salt as they come from the already very salty sea. This made sense. We ate them anyway, with a lot of additional beverages lol

Amazing restaurant to have dinner in Split. It has a rear terrace outside , quiet and aside from the busy street in the center of Split. The food was very tasteful, good quantity and good price for the dishes. The waitress were very nice and giving a great service. I fully recommend to have dinner in this beautiful place in the heart of split !

Stop walking around tourist restaurants and get a meal here! We tried many of the top places in Split (and Croatia) and nothing beats this place. The service is so gentle and warm. The head chef Ante is a genius. At age 23 he runs an incredible menu. Peter our waiter was amazing with food recommendations and service as very quick. We recommend the local cheese platter and the mussels fettuccine pasta. A big bonus is their quaint outdoor seating for the best private dining experience. Will be back on our next trip to Split. P.s video was taking after closing time.

Based on a recommendation from our host, as one of the best pizza restaurants in Split, we figured we would try it, not impressed. The crust was very thin and tasty, but not completely cooked in a few areas of my pizza. The tomato sauce was kind of thick but had the taste of a spice I was not expecting on pizza, might have been fresh oregano and the cheese had no taste at all. The restaurant has a bar atmosphere with loud music and loud conversations. Overall, not bad pizza but not traditional flavors at all.

This place is built for the young and the nostalgic, 80s pop hits, and a lively crowd. The staff are genuinely friendly and impressively efficient, keeping the energy upbeat and the service smooth. The pizza looks great: thick, charred crust with quality toppings like black olives, capers, and anchovies. Ingredients are fresh and well chosen. But structurally, it’s a mixed bag. The edge is thick and almost deep-dish, while the center is thin and soggy from too much tomato sauce. It leans Neapolitan, but the balance is off. Great for a fun night out with good vibes and solid service.

While service and ambient was nice, the pizza itself wasn't as we expected. I personally think that they pushed too far with ingridient mixes. Sticking to traditional pizzas would be better. But it's just my taste. If you want to try some new pizza flavors, this place is for you. Drinks and cocktails were fine, we enjoyed them.

We went here on the recommendation of our walking tour guide and we were amazed indeed. They accommodated us even without any reservations. We had the porco mio with lars and tartufizza. Both were amazing wood fire baked pizza served with the side of chilli and garlic olive oil. An empty plate indeed points towards the taste and quality of the food here

We were recommended this restaurant by our extreme canyoning guide as one of the best pizza restaurants in town. We came as a party of 9 people on a Saturday around 5-6pm and had no issue getting a table. I ordered the Porco Mio pizza and that was exactly to my tastes. There was also chilli oil, garlic oil, and chilli flakes provided on the table as condiments. I'd recommend visiting this restaurant if you want a proper, non-fast-food pizza.

We had a very disappointing experience here and definitely will not return. For starters, we ordered the soup and the codfish spring roll. The spring roll was the only decent thing we had crispy, flavorful, and well done. Unfortunately, the soup was a complete letdown. It was bland and absolutely no richness or depth you’d expect from a restaurant charging these prices. For mains, I had the squid ink risotto and my husband had the Angus beef. After our starters, we were left waiting almost 20 minutes for the mains. The risotto was dull, lacking any balance or seasoning, and had an unpleasant aftertaste. The Angus beef was chewy and poorly cooked, paired with mashed potatoes that were supposed to be elevated with truffle oil. As a country that actually produces truffles, this version was shockingly below standard flat, oily, and with none of the fragrant quality you’d expect. Service made the experience even worse. We were given a completely different menu from another table, which left us questioning whether there was some form of bias or discrimination happening. And when we asked for the bill, a female server simply pointed her finger at my original (male) server, refusing to assist and continuing her personal chat instead. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable for a place that positions itself as “above average.” Overall: long waiting times, overpriced dishes, inconsistent menus, poor service, and food that is far below the mark in flavor and execution. One good spring roll can’t save an otherwise awful dining experience.

Bokeria in Split is a beautiful restaurant with a stylish and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a special place. The presentation of the dishes is excellent — everything looks amazing and carefully prepared. However, while some plates taste just as good as they look, others don’t quite deliver the same “wow” factor once you try them. Prices are on the higher side compared to other spots in Split, so it’s definitely more of a treat-yourself place. Overall, Bokeria is worth visiting for the ambiance and experience, but not every dish lives up to its presentation.

Truwel and prosciutto pasta was delicious, Caesar salad needed more sauce. Soup was ok, byt nothing special; soparnik is really good here, recommend it. Amazing wine (local chardonney). Service is very good and attentive.

Had a great sea bass meal here this evening - very reasonably priced. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and a great vibe atmosphere. Without doubt, if you are into Croatian wine, this is THE PLACE in Split to visit. They have over 160 Croatian wines to choose from, ~30 of which you can buy by the glass. I had a Grk, Pošip sur lie, and a dessert wine all from Croatia - the first two with my sea bass. All were excellent!

Ate here a few weeks ago. Pizza was class. Good reasonably priced beer as well. Nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place. It is small and does get busy so be prepared to wait if you go later in the evening.

This is a fantastic pizzeria. It might be the best value in Split. From the friendly waiter, to the excellent value pizza, to the wonderful hidden location (pay attention when you are nearly there, it’s hidden in an alley); this little restaurant is worth the trip. It’s almost always full of locals-proof enough it’s a wonderful spot. Highly recommended!!

Tasty Pizza at hidden place in wider centrum of Split. Take your legs, it is just 5-10 minutes walking from RIVA and you will be satisfied with delicious pizza. Almost no tourist and prices are lower than in any other pizzeria in wider centrum. This is "Konoba" for domestic people and prices correspondent to that. For full satisfaction I missed possibility of soups an more smile 😊. Do not expect any other food. It is just pizzeria with beverages.

For delicious variety of Pizzas this place is a really nice option. They have a wide variety of Pizza options including options for vegetarian pizzas. The place is also budget friendly and the portion sizes served were really nice. Also it is just 5 minutes walk from the Diocletian's Palace and a very good alternative to the expensive Pizzerias inside the Diocletian's Palace. The staff was also friendly and service was fast.

This restaurant is by far my favorite! The ingredients are fresh, the food is delicious, and the service is great. We returned to this restaurant two times in a row and ordered the same dishes—Pasticada with Gnocchi and Cod Fish Brudetto, which is made from dry cod fish. The texture of the dry cod reminded me of my Chinese heritage, as we often use dried seafood in our dishes. It evokes nostalgia and is full of rich flavour.

We had dinner - beef goulash and mash, pasticada, house red, and local beer. All was good good, service was excellent, food came out quick and the waiter was really nice. Mains were 20€ & 13€, the beer 4,5€ and house red 3,5€. Its right next to the promenade and quiet ambience! Lover it and would recommend stopping by for a dinner.

I asked chat gpt to recommend a good and cheap Dalmatian Restaurant and the first result was this Restaurant. I liked it so much that I came almost every day to drink and eat . I tried the tuna pate , grilled veggies, goulash with mashed potatoes and the Cevapcici. Everything was great ! The waiters were very friendly and the service was always fast …. My experience at Fife was just amazing. We order the "Pasticada" and the grilled Seabass and both of the dishes were absolutely tasty. The sauce of the "Pasticada" was perfectly sweet and sour and the meat was delicious. The seabass was just grilled to perfect and had a potato side that was just mouth-watering. The people there were very friendly, very nice and cordial. The atmosphere was also very nice both inside and outside the restaurant.

Two days in a row were fantastic... if I visit Split again, I'll definitely stay here again. Day 1: The Dalmatian prosciutto starter was delicious, but unfortunately sliced ​​far too thickly. I feel that in split there’s a pressure to tip, even when the experience doesn’t merit it, but at least the waiter let me know I could skip it, which didn’t happen in other places. Although I tipped anyway. Response to the owner: I understand salted sardines are meant to be salty, but that doesn’t mean they should be inedible. The scampi had very little meat and no sides — for the price, that’s alarming. The orange juice didn’t taste fresh, and I didn’t see it being prepared. Dalmatian food is not defined by your restaurant (thankfully), as I’ve tried other restaurants and had much better experiences. If I wanted junk food, I’d have gone to McDonald’s, but I didn’t need to as I had this experience going to your restaurant, except that it was more expensive. I expected quality, but left hungry and disappointed. Additionally, responding to customer feedback with sarcasm isn’t the best way to represent your business.

Hands down best konoba in Split. Central location, very reasonable prices, house wine is 3,50! And the food is soooo delicious. We ate here half of our stay in town and I regret not trying the sea bass earlier it was so good and fresh and I know a good fish when I try one. They have a good selection of grilled and pre made dishes, traditional ones too. If you want to eat good, this is the place to go.

Was here with my friend for dinner, came at around 7pm and was no line. Tried pasta with and octopus and olives 🫒 Portion size was great, really juicy and delicious. Also, waiter shared couple dishes which are not on the menu - risotto with meat and another with seafood. He said those are one of the most popular meals.

We were in Split for 2 weeks and ended up dining at Apetit 3 times. The food was fantastic, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was great! Each time we ordered something different and all of them were superb! My only regret is that we didn’t get to go back again as there are still a few dishes we didn’t try.

Apetit is a great dinner choice in the old town of Split. We got the Adriatic Squid and White fish. Great presentation, excellent flavors, and the olive oil they use is great quality. The Tiramisu was also delicious and freshly made. A little pricy for the portion but overall a good pick.

We walked past as we were wondering around Split. The restaurant is well put together with simple and natural decor, and the food seems to follow a similar stylist choice. We ordered the Eggplant Tempura, Tuna Steak, and Pašticata. All of which were wonderful to eat in perfectly sized portions. The staff was very professional and the appropriate amount of attentive. I would recommend this place for a evening dinner any day of the week.

A small birthday dinner here last night with friends and everyone loved the food and drinks. We tried many dishes including squid, whole seabass, pork ribs, pasta and roasted veggies. We visited Brasserie on 7 everyday during our recent holiday in Split as it was nearby our hotel. The breakfast menu had a good variety of options available and I tried to have something different everyday. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is in a lovely location overlooking the water. The food was all great and the portions are very generous.

Massive fan of this place despite the 2 year old review. The staff here were extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Particularly the meats and cheese board: I found the meats here less salty than their Italian equivalents. The cheeses were excellent, especially the sheep cheese that paired perfectly with the fig jam.

Brasserie on 7 is a beautiful spot right on the Riva, perfect for enjoying the sea view while having lunch. We ordered the Caesar salad and the lamb — both were good. The salad was fresh, but maybe lacks some ingredients, and the lamb was well cooked and very tender. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are a bit higher than some other places in Split.

We cannot rave enough about our wine tasting experience at Uje!!!! Marina’s knowledge, professionalism, and kindness did not go unnoticed. I’m gluten free, so she immediately ordered gluten free bread for myself so I could be included in the tasting. My friend is also vegetarian. Marina went out of her way to bring her tomatoes instead of prosciutto so she could taste certain notes in the red wine. We left feeling like Marina was our own Mama taking care of us!!! HIGHLY recommend as a must!!!!

We enter the Uje Oil Bar today and we're treated horribly. My wife & I were deeply humiliated. We sat down at a table for two. There were a couple of empty tables that could fit 4 people. We said hi to the people seated near us and we were greeted with smiles. We waited approximately 10-15 minutes and a waiter/host came to our table who advised us we are not to sit there & we were instructed to leave. His tone & abusive actions were rude & mean. We were glad to depart this highly prejudice establishment. So sad that such a place exists in Split, Croatia. A hudge DISAPPOINTMENT. We do NOT recommend.

If you love a meat sandwich, this is for you. My wife and I shared a medium sandwich and we were stuffed. Little beef sausages stuffed in the most delicious bun with red sauce and onions and cheese. Saw it on Somebody feed Phil and we knew we had to have it. Absolutely delicious. Cash only!!

Never had a sandwich like this before. The bread was soft and not chewy at all. The meat tasted of high quality and overall, a very delicious sandwich for lunch. Recommend if you want something than a focaccia which many shops sell in the old town.

There's a reason why this is the best sandwich in Split since 1916. We went there for a quick lunch and decided to have a small cepavi each (8.50€ each - cash only). It was absolutely delicious. The bread was so soft and moist with the meat juices, the meat was so tasty and full of flavour. For that price, it was a top lunch!!

Great food at a reasonable price. A must have for budget travellers. You don’t need google maps to find it, just follow the trail of people leaving with sandwiches in their hands. The bread was fresh fluffy and delicious, the wine cheap and good and the fillings were amazing. Fabulous cevapi - loved every mouthful. Thera limited seating and it’s hard to stand inside without getting in the way so best to eat on the move or takeaway.

I am very unhappy with the service of this establishment!!! It started to rain outside. We went inside, sat down at a table, asked for a menu, but we weren't hungry, we wanted to warm up. We wanted to order tea, dessert, and coffee. We were refused, you can only eat at the table! The waitress answered us that "I understand that it's raining outside, but people eat here, not drink coffee." Dear administration of this establishment, your waiters are trained in restaurant etiquette! To refuse a visitor to sit at a table because he ordered tea and dessert instead of pizza! This place is well located close to the pedestrian walk Riva. Delicious pizza 🍕 😋 and the service was fast. We had a busy day and this place was just a perfect stop for us to chill outside and enjoy.

Heard it from TikTok, ordered their special pizza, can’t say it’s not good. The service was alright. But there was just a serve came up to me and rejected my service dog to be sitting next to me. Btw she’s helping with psychotic reason. So I wouldn’t recommend to come if you have a dog. They do have an outdoor area might be better but the weather was too hot around 94 degrees, so I can’t do it for sure.

The pizzas are super nice! Tasty and full of ingredients. The dough is neither thick nor thin, crunchy, cooked in proper oven (fire). Be aware this is the only option in the menu. The service is helpful and fast, also fair prices.

We did the chef's choice 3 course menu with wine pairing at Sug, and it was very good. The wine pairing was fabulous, and the service attentive. However, the portions were enormous (and I can eat a lot!). It's was more like two mains than a main and a starter. If I returned, I would just do the normal menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Perfection at a reasonable price. For antipasti, we had a white fish carpaccio wrapped around sweet rice which was delicious. Then we had squid ink risotto and creamy prawn pasta, both of which were divine. Good wine and attentive service as well. Some reviews say that this is a very fancy fine-dining place, but don’t let it put you off - the vibe is definitely nice but it’s also not very formal. You will feel at home as all the waiters are very friendly.

Everything was exceptional. We did the tasting menu with two oysters added. It was more than worth it. We were blown away with the food and services. 10/10 I can’t pick our favorite dish because they were all phenomenal. A must try

Food is good. The sword fish is the best - very fresh and flavourful. Octopus is fresh. Shrimp pasta isn’t as impressive as what others mentioned. Smoked risotto is average. However, the service is really bad. The waiters are very inattentive and chatting among themselves. We needed to keep waiting for the menu and water at the beginning and when we wanted to order, even when we sat at the middle of the restaurant just facing them.

Went to this place with my wife, as a recommendation from a local, and it was the best decision! We had the duck and the octopus, both were extremely delicious! Shrimp pasta as appetizer was really generous and incredible tasty. Wines are good as well. Don't hesitate about asking for the tiramisu as dessert!

The venison stew was great with tender meat and soft gnocchi, but the grilled octopus dish was a bit mismatched. The octopus itself was very good, but it was served with raw tomatoes, pickled onions, baked/fried potatoes, and a gravy none of which really complemented each other well. Service was great and the space was nice.

We had a table reserved for 8:00 PM, but we arrived an hour and a half earlier — luckily, that wasn’t a problem at all, as the staff kindly found us a spot right away. We happened to come during the restaurant’s Steak Weekend, which offered a special selection of steaks. The food was excellent — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was fast and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We really enjoyed our evening here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and friendly service.

This fact shouldn’t matter but I’m opening with it…All of the outstanding food at this charming restaurant comes from a kitchen that’s probably smaller than your dining room table at home. Despite the tiny kitchen (or maybe because of it) every item on their well curated tasting menu is absolutely wonderful. Nearly all of the seating is outside where you can enjoy stellar people watching along the cobblestone alleyways.

Fantastic restaurant in the pedestrian area of split near the fish market. We booked for 4 people and had a nice table outside. The waitress Mia was fantastic and very knowledgeable. She guided us through the whole tasting menu and recommend the wine to pair with the food. The plates are well presented and very high end. The decor and setting is smart and cozy. The restaurant caught our eye with the Michelin 2025 sign. It is on a busy corner behind the fish market. We opted for the 6pm 4 course dinner. It was a perfect amount of food for us and each course was delicious! The waiter also paired a nice white wine for us. Fish is their specialty and each course was a special creation.

Incredibly inventive cooking & a super atmosphere makes this one of the best places I’ve eaten this year. Great service. Their early menu (served at 6pm only) is great value for money. A great spot for foodies.

While the bread is incredible and the sandwiches are LARGE, I do wish it had a few more fillings. I got the caprese which was great, but I would have liked it more with more basil, fresh salt and pepper, and some balsamic glaze. I also got the vegano which felt a bit lacking. I recommend for a quick and easy lunch sandwich to go. There is no seating.

No seating was the reason for the star docked. The sandwiches are huge so we asked for them to be cut. Great selections including veggie! Would recommend changing your cheese out for stracciatella!

Can’t wait to be back to this place! The focaccia was delicious, the ingredients are %100 fresh and made in moment. Lovely summer experience! (with just one focaccia sandwich two people can eat, so it’s really great)

10/10 recommend, I can say this because I ate here 3 nights in a row. Every day I craved one of their focaccia’s. The bread always tasted fresh and crunchy, using fresh basil and tomatoes. The staff always super friendly and speak some English too which goes a long way. Great prices for both food & drinks, this is a must try for lunch or dinner in Split. Sizes are generous which means you’ll likely be in a pleasant food coma after it!

It was awful and sad. It was sad because they put really good ingredients in a hard, stale, cold focaccia that you couldn't bite into at first and then couldn't chew. I understand that it was evening, but either give a discount for the evening so that people understand that they are paying less because the quality is not the same, or just don't sell it. After taking a couple of bites, we stopped eating and thought about reheating it at home, but it didn't get any better, so I took out the salami and gave it to the cat to eat, and everything else went in the bin. *And the focaccia was overcooked, so it was incredibly hard in every sense.

Great Italian food experience in Croatia, highly recommended! We ordered several different dishes and all of them were delicious. The prices were really good considering the portion sizes.

A great discovery! We tried this place and it’s definitely approved! I had the Focaccia Classico at 8.50€, delicious but I couldn’t finish it. The staff is very friendly and they prepare the focaccia right in front of you. Vegetarian options are available too.

Absolutely amazing experience! The pizzas we ordered were just bomb – full of flavor and perfectly baked. The salad was also super fresh and delicious. I personally had the Pizza Istriana with truffle cream, and it was outstanding – I shared a slice and everyone who tried it agreed it was something unique and truly amazing. The smoky taste (probably from the bacon) gave it an extra special touch. Great food, friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

Amazing pizza - mushroom and ham was simple and full of flavor. Delicious side salad very fresh and healthy. House wine was easy to drink. Very very quick service and a calming ambience on the terrace. The waiters were very attentive and kind. Would highly recommend.

Having spent 5 days in Croatia, we dined at this wonderful restaurant as our final meal out before heading home. The pizza was the best by far, the service was fantastic and the ambiance/environment was stunning. Very impressed!! Highly recommend! 5 stars!!

A lovely little pizza spot with a charming terrace. The menu is small – just pizzas and a few salads – but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We ended up coming back for a second evening because we enjoyed it so much. The service was great. Even on a busy night, the staff checked in to make sure everything was okay. The terrace has a special charm – small, cozy, and beautifully overgrown with plants. On our second visit, the waiter recognized us right away and gave us a very kind farewell. Would definitely come back!

We had a lovely breakfast here. There were a good range of options on the menu, service was friendly and efficient and prices reasonable. It was nice to look out over the square as we ate and it was also good to have a decent sized cup of coffee. It is quite cramped inside but when the weather is better outside seating is an option.

The host was very accommodating and lovely to the kids. The food was ok, a bit of a mixed bag. The Pasticada was nice and I would get it again. The eggs on the eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly, but the rest was a bit tough.

Great live music! The man plays on acoustic guitar and sings with great voice, even Louie Armstrong 😃 The host is very helpful, staff is so cheerful but it felt like a bit of a rush to order dish. Because we came at 22h.waited maybe 15min to get a table. They offer you a drink while you wait. Excellent food, even for vegetarians and vegans they have great options (I'll post a photo). Prices are moderate, not too high. Cocktail Mojito was refreshing but mint was on top instead on the bottom so I crushed it with my paper straw. All in all experience is very good and we had fun!

Such a great experience! The chef knows what he/she's doing here. We had the butter and bread for starters. Creative flavours and an amazing surprise! Also with a fine selection of ham/chorizo , etc. The main courses were exquisite! We tried meat, fish and veggie. All to die for! Good wines to wash it down and we were curious about the desserts too. They were no disappointment. We had pavlova and cheesecake. To finish the restaurant offered a shot of a local liquor, on the house. The employees that served us were so friendly, polite and helpful!... And the cherry on top was the acoustic live music, played on the lovely terrace.

We had live music (amazing artist) outside area. We can smoke ! There are vegetarian options and God that was delicious. The starters with different butters and bread wow blowed my mind. It was our last night in Split and we drink and eat really quality food. It’s not cheap but it’s not expensive for what you get. Amazing! Free WiFi. Thank you all for the evening.

My Croatian friend recommended this restaurant to me and it was soooo good! I had a seasonal salad, the sea bass and the traditional cream cake dessert, creamschnite . They also gave a little fish pate starter from the chef. The bread was incredible!... Fresh and homemade nutty bread. The regional white wine that my waiter recommended was divine. The service was great, my waiter was so nice, fast and attentive, great menu selection, great prices and beautiful outdoor seating area in the main square. They are all so nice and really make you feel welcome! Great time, great meal! I highly recommend! I just came back again during my short layover between the bus and ferry. All I could think about was the creamschnite during my stay up north. The restaurant was busy, but they served me lunch and my delicious dessert in less than an hour. The outdoor misters feel great on a hot day.

We had a lovely breakfast here on our last morning in Split. Beautiful area to sit outside. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and consisted of eggs, toast, bread, ham, cheese, jam and choice of coffee or juice. We really enjoyed it. Service was fast as there’s just this one breakfast offering.

Try the cuttlefish and broad beans! Never had that combination before and it was phenomenal. I didn’t want to stop eating. The polenta was super crispy and perfect. The octopus salad is also delicious and fresh. The house wine is good and you can get a half litre in a cute narrow bottle. I was slightly reluctant because other restaurants in the area seem to be more popular but the menu convinced me and the outdoor seating in the square is lovely for people watching. The only bad reviews seem to be from Americans… the staff are friendly and great they aren’t your servants;)

I randomly fell onto this place on a walk home and my gosh. Probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. It was the pasta seafood vongole and was under the apps part of menu. Homemade, fresh, baby clams and shrimp in a white sauce.. was just incredible. I also had the octopus carpaccio and that was a first for me and it was also excellent.

Great find! Ambience was amazing. The gentleman were very warm and welcoming and offered amazing food and wine suggestions.... couldn't fault the food and service. A must visit on your next trip.

Dining at this restaurant was a highlight of our trip. We were so well looked after by our waiter (I did not get his name, wish I had). I had a great gin and tonic made with the "Old Pilots" gin, highly recommend! For starter I had the shrimp soup which was delicious and then for main our whole party had the Pasticada with Gnocchi and was enjoyed by all. The meat was so soft and tender, the sauce was rich and comforting with a slight tang from maybe vinegar and something slightly floral through it and the gnocchi was perfect, best I've had. Tremendous meal and highly recommend if you are visiting Split!

Very good place for our lunch. We had some deep fried fish with chards and the sword fish salad. Light and tasty. To top it off we followed the recommendation of a very kind waiter for dessert and got an amazing caroube cake. Amazing!! The location is quite central and close to important places. Definitely recommend a stop in this place!

The portion size of all mains is quite good and filling. We ordered the cold octopus salad, tuna filet and mixed meat platter and each of them was good. Recommend the house wine which complemented the meal.

Dare I say my most favorite place to eat out of the entire Europe trip. My family and I had already eaten multiple grilled fish platters, yet ironically, this pizzeria had the best char on the fish, taste of the fish, and combination of fish. Everything tasted almost perfect and to top it off, it included a hearty portion of Mangel. The pizza we got was also incredible - light dough taste, great crisp, and superb Dalmatian taste. The staff, particularly Johnny, were super friendly and attentive. This Konoba is 100% a must go if you are in Split. Did I also mention - this place is amazingly priced (compared to other Konoba)!

Delicious meal! We got the black ink risotto and a tuna steak with a side of cabbage and grilled veggies. Great sizes for the price. Risotto was flavourful and tuna was ‘sexy’ as the waiter described it. Didn’t get his name but he was very friendly and enthusiastic. Would recommend!

I ate here a number of times since they have good option's for vegetarians/pescatarian. Their side dishes are great, as are the salads. I had grilled veggies a number of times, and also the chard with potatoes - very tasty & a decent meal on its own. The fresh OJ is sooo good! Sea bass was delicious, cooked to perfection & nicely seasoned. Vegetarian pizza was also yummy - generous toppings and a very nice pizza base. They also have chilli oil & flakes if you like a little kick. Inside & outside seating available - great atmosphere and lively street. Staff are very friendly, attentive, and a special thanks to Chloe, who is always so kind and welcoming even though I am just one person dining, I always get a table even if it means waiting for a bit.

Found this beautiful little restaurant on the way back from the look out point. The perfect charm of a local family run business who knows how to take care of you. A warm welcome from the lady host before being seated and provided with menus. The choices were vast and the prices were the best we've seen in split. I went for the beef lasagne and a side of grilled vegetables whilst my partner went for Pljeskavica ( beef stuffed with fetta) and fries. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Hot, freshly made and hit our hunger spots! We highly recommend Feral restaurant to all looking for a fantastic meal at the best price. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely host. Even brought us out a free shot of a local drink to taste. 5 stars all the way. You wont be disappointed Keisha and Craig from Trinidad 🇹🇹

This vegan restaurant is hands-on the best we've ever visited. The food presentation is nothing short of stunning. Each plate is crafted with care and creativity. Every bite speaks of top-quality ingredients. It's clear the chefs here are passioante about what they do. We could enjoy Juicy Marbles steaks here, a rare find in Croatia and rare treat. The menu features signature meals. Among them, the standout for us was the starter for two called Garden. It was presented as a moss garden on a plate where every element was edible. The creativity and execution were simply amazing. Despite the high quality and gourmet feel, the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended, definitevely value for money.

We ate breakfast at Green Pandora Box and liked it so much that we went back for dinner. I think the vegetarian menu is a nice touch—it helps the restaurant stand out. The interior is very cute and whimsical, like something out of a fairy tale, and the space is relatively small and cozy. The waiters were friendly and asked several times if we were enjoying the food. For breakfast, we had the Big Breakfast Plate, which was nice, and the pancakes. For dinner, we both had the sliders. Everything was good and a nice change for us. The prices are a bit high, but that’s typical for most restaurants in the Old Town.

Came to this place for lunch recommended by our tour guide. Ordered the sliders and vegan omelette. Both were tasty and delicious .The french fries was well cooked. It is a bit over priced but we are in the heart of the old town.

This place was amazing. They were incredibly accommodating of celiac disease. The waitress let me know that though there may be some cross contamination they will do their best to avoid it and have not had any issues in the past with people with celiac eating here. I went for dinner one day and went back for breakfast the next. I got their fries, risotto, açaí bowl, women’s juice, a big salad, and polenta. Everything was yummy and gluten free.

Great food in a beautiful restaurant. We had the vegan omelette and a bowl for breakfast there and I decided to go back to try the vegan filet, which was very good. The restaurant is a bit in the pricey side, but it was worth it for me.

In Split there are many vegan options and surely Pandora Greenbox is one of the best. It is wonderfully located in the historical centre, it is very particular with a big tree inside and it has an huge variety of foods and drinks. I had for dinner the amazing Pandora’s Little Garden and it was a great choise: I truly loved it! It looks wonderful, it’s full of flavours well combined, it’s funny, colourful, it’s delicious!!! After it I was full but I couldn’t resist and I took a dessert too: a really really good and fresh Lemon Cake with Coconut Crakers and Cream and a Strawberry&Rose Sauce. Last but not least, the waitress was very kind and nice! So, if you’re in Split, doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, try Pandora Greenbox and you will not be disappointed!

Great place to have a nice food. I had tuna steak and it was great. One person from our party had a Beef Steak, and he was very satisfied. It was 300 grams. So more than in the other places. Fish soup was also very, very delicious. A person eating octopus salad was also satisfied. Price was surprisingly affordable for all that we ate.

We visited on our last day in Split as wanted to try traditional Croatian cuisine. The place was clean and smelled of freshly cooked food. Grilled sea bass with baker's potatoes was delicious. Although traditional pesticiada with beef was not available, my friend decided to go for a tuna steak option of this dish, served with traditional gnocchi and rich sauce. The portions were generous and we enjoyed our meal. Well worth it, as the bill was very reasonable in compare to other places to eat closer to Riva and centre. Must try when in Split🙂👍

Wow! The staff managed to squeeze in our party of 6 without reservation, and we're so glad they did. The food was outstanding: perfectly cooked meats, fish, and sides to accompany them. The veal escallops were divine and had a good char on the taste. Attentive service and accommodating staff made this a perfect introduction to Croatia cuisine for us.

Good portions , amazing food. Friendly staff. A bit harder to find a spot during lunchtime , but we went at 4pm and it was empty. The prices are awesome compared to old town.. walk 20 min or spend 1 eur on a bus, it will save you 10-20 eur for the same meal in old town.

Nice cozy resto. Service was excellent. We find the food we ordered were very enjoyable. Nice in fact. However our Tuna Steak was too salty for us. The Dalmatian starter with cheese we recommend. As it was our first meal in Croatia we had nothing to compare with. Overall value for money.

Amazing pizza right at the seaside in Split! Basta serves an amazing menu at a very nice setting. The atmosphere is simply amazing and makes having food there a real joy. The service is very good and the waiters very attentive. I’ve started with the salmon avocado salad served with freshly made and nicely spiced focaccia bread. I was really surprise at the bread and really recommend anyone having a try at it. For my main dish I had the pizza tartufo, which was made in napoletana style, exactly how I love it. Really enjoyed myself and will certainly visit again on my next visit to Split!

We visited BASTA twice during our trip and it was our favourite place to eat, drink and relax. Excellent service, very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food delicious! We loved the little birds flying in and out the cafe it added to the experience. Overall just a wonderful spot and I want your music playlist!

Nice pizzeria on the waterfront in Split. It’s on the higher end of price, but actually very reasonable considering some of the other waterfront restaurants. Also, it’s slightly down from the main hustle and bustle of the market and restaurant strip so not as crowded if you’re looking for a slightly quieter vibe. We found plenty of tables available, and we visited at 8pm on a Sunday evening in August. Pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. Most important, they serve great food at a relatively reasonable price. Between us we had the Fantasia Di Pollo salad, Pagnuttiello Con Tonno E Mozzarella (a tuna like sandwich with pizza dough as the bread), and the Margarita and Bufalona pizzas. All the food was well played, delicious and flavourful. We highly recommend!

Food is excellent. Everything is tasty and the service was good. The view is a great plus. 😍 However, I have to advise you to bring your own cutlery since knifes are really blunt. The only plus about it is that you will have huge triceps. 😂 Jokes aside, knifes are so blunt that even cutting a pizza was a challenge lol

View was really peaceful away from the main strip with all the tourists. The staff were friendlier here and the drinks were good and better priced than at the main strip. Would recommend!

Only had one meal out in Split and chose here as it had a great view over the port. Beers were good, music was chill and the pizzas we had between the four of us looked and tasted great. Wish we had gone in early in the week!

First night and split we went here and it has left a high bar for anyone to meet. Friendly and welcoming as we entered they did not disappoint. I accidentally dropped a knife and within seconds a waiter had noticed and brought a new one without us asking. We ordered pizzas with request for some bits not to be included and it came as requested. Pizza where fresh with a thin base but puffy crisp edges just the way I like it.

Food was amazing, homey. Feel like dining in grandma's house! We tried the shark in tomato sauce with polenta and marinated blue fish salad. The polenta and the sauce are a perfect pair! Will definitely go to Split again just for a taste of Delistes 🥹🥹

Best authentic Croatian food. We were recommended this by our accommodation manager. We went back 2 days in a row because the food was so delicious and reasonably priced. The portions are quite big so make sure you are hungry when you go as you won't be disappointed. It is cash only and the place is small and cozy. You can't book which means you have to wait for a table but it is definable worth it! Enjoy!

One of the most delicious meals I’ve had in Split was here — absolutely amazing! The chef was excellent, the food was fresh and full of flavor, and the staff were super friendly. One of my favourite restaurants in Split. It feels like stepping back in time or eating at your grandma’s house. The food is delicious you can really taste the heart in it. The service was amazing; the lady (I think the owner) even showed us how they eat the fried fish with olive oil and using a piece of bread to scoop all the flavours. The menu is all handwritten, which adds a really authentic touch. Cash only, but there’s an ATM nearby. You absolutely need to try this place if you’re in Split and want traditional flavours.

I thoroughly enjoyed having a home cooked authentic Croatian dinner to end my time in Split! I enjoyed the pastincada, the meatballs with mashed potatoes and red table wine. 10/10 experience! The food tastes like it was made with love. There are only a couple tables inside and it feels like you are in someone's kitchen. Cash Only!

Highlight of the trip! Fried fish with vegetables 5/5 Beef stew with gnocchi 5/5 (star of the show) House salad with cottage cheese 5/5 Everything was fresh and top quality. Also, sitting around the big tables creates that cozy vibe and definitely sparks great discussions with other travellers! Plus, the owner is a super sweet lady who adds to the warmth of the atmosphere!

Nice market with fresh fruit and vegetable stalls on one side and souvenir shops on the other. It opens early in the morning and stays open until around 3 PM. Prices were reasonable. Its close proximity to the old city makes it a convenient spot to check out while visiting Split.

Cute local market. Love coming here to see how the local lives and see all the fresh produce. They also have deli and butchers. Not selling seafood as they have a particular market in the old town selling only seafood. Highly recommended for just walking around and see what Croatian fresh market like.

Nice fresh market but we came in the afternoon most of the stalls already closed, still lots of fresh fruits, nuts and some souvenir shops still opened .

Great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. Prices are very affordable and sellers are lovely. Mostly cash only, so bring coins. Watermelon is to die for!

I was expecting just food stands but no there’s so many clothes, jewellery and souvenir stands. It’s reasonably priced but if you’re a tourist they will over charge you so do look for items with set prices eg. It says 3 euro for a ring. Otherwise you will be charged 20 or more lol.

Absolutely wonderful. Seafood risotto was delicious. Everything was reasonably priced. Coming from Dubrovnik the quality and price of the food were great to see. Service was great. We had a very nice gentleman serve us and made great recommendations.

Very nice popular restaurant in the Spinut marina by the sea. I would recommend excellent cold starters and great selection of sweets. We were here several times and once service was little below standards as we came rather late but it just may be bad day for the waiter and you should come here to enjoy it.

We ate wonderful food seated by just as wonderful scenery - our seats by the harbour gave us views of the board and the mountain. Good prices for food. My only issue was that although the place did not appear that busy, we were often left waiting for the waitress to come to take our order or bring the bill. But a lovely place to have to wait. Would happily come again

Very friendly staff at this family run restaurant. We were greeted by Supermouse - aka Adrian Beroš - the Junior Partner! Great food, freshest Calamari in the Adriatic, and a great price too. With views over the marina it sits on this place really is a gem in among hard rocks. Would definitely recommend! 👍

4 star food and 5 star service. Restaurant isn't touristic. One of the biggest pros of this restaurant is that it is located in a quiet place and you can enjoy the sunset from its terrace.

We had a massive seafood platter with a side of bread and a alcoholic drink each. About 300 kuna which is equivalent to $60 aussie dollars, about $50US or 40 euro. We couldn't finish it all there was so much and they let us take the left overs to go. About 7 types of seafood, nothing fried and nice cabbage and potato vegetable mix. If you are in Split you should visit. It's quieter than the tourist district and where the locals go. Recommended to us by a local. We'll be back the next time in Split!

Lovely location right by the harbor. Very nice to watch the sunset while having dinner here. Seems to be popular among the locals, as this is farther away from the more touristic places in old town, but worth the walk. Nice beach also nearby (Prvda Voda). I ordered a glass of rosé and the sea ray fillet. The location and service was good (although it did take a while to get the food). This was okay since I enjoyed the wine, sunset and bread (which was delicious). Minus one star since the sea ray fillet was too salty on one side, but otherwise quite tasty.

This was by far the best restaurant we went to on our Split trip. We only found it by accident on our first day of arrival and no other restaurant could compare after that. The food was amazing. I am still dreaming of the seafood/fish starters we got (not ordered - we just received them as they like to give a full experience with their courses). As main I had the Langustine Risotto which was excellent. Also the hosts are a very welcoming couple! I can only recommend going there.

Fantastic restaurant. Had the tasting menu of fish and meat. Every course was delicious! Which is not an easy feat! Definitely a lot of thought and passion was put into every dish. The ravioli with lobster sauce was so rich and umami and so was the oxtail croquette, the sauce was perfectly layered and complex. Service was excellent. Definitely the best restaurant in Split.

This was my favorite meal I had in Split. The pasta was amazing and the sauce was so fresh and tasty. We all enjoyed our meals greatly. The service is also excellent. We had wine and espresso martinis and we really enjoyed our drinks as well! The view is also beautiful, and it was so peaceful eating outside. Can’t recommend this place enough!

This meal was one of my favorites I have ever had. I have had tastings in different countries: Borago in Chile, Central in Peru, French Laundry in California - Zora Bila more than holds its weight among my experiences with fine dining tasting menus. I arrived for my solo reservation fresh off of flights from the USA having been awake for 36+ hours and walking 7 miles across the city during the day. The staff were super friendly and accommodating when I showed up a bit early and made my experience unrushed despite being a solo diner. (I had been looking at their menu for months before my trip here for a moto tour). Everything was so very delicious with layers of flavors and textures. I opted for the 9 course tasting menu but had to surrender early because their portions are so generous. There is a lot of care, thought, and passion that goes into meals like the one I had at Zora Bila. I highly recommend the tasting menu to anyone looking for a truly exceptional meal with stunning views of the sunset and sea to accompany all the extraordinary food.

Amazing food, friendly staff, quiet location close to beach and about 10 mins walk from the port - so if you are catching a ferry and want a bite to eat beforehand I would definitely recommend here over the centre! Very reasonable prices for quality of food. Thank you for a lovely meal :)

Absolutely incredible food and nice cocktails. Loved our time here. Wasn’t too badly priced either. We had the mixed grill for 2 and the meter long pizza between 4 of us with 3 cocktails, beer, coke and a cider and it cost 130 euro.

The restaurant is nicely located at the harbour with a great view over the sea, city and the ships. The staff is friendly and the prices are okay. It’s not cheap but also not unusual for the region. The pizzas were quite good. Unfortunately the panna cotta was rather disappointing but also not bad.

We discovered this place by accident and were pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly and we could easily make a reservation for the next day, even though there were 13 of us. The food was great, nothing more, nothing less. The olive oil is very good. I recommend this place.

Absolutely incredible value for money and the best service and staff at any venue I’ve visited around split and trogir. Friendly atmosphere, unbeatable views and attentive staff. Food is fabulous and very well priced. I will be returning. Our waiter Josko was brilliant.

After so much traditional meat dishes here in Croatia, we were looking for a simple pizza, and this place came up on Google as THE best in Split. The food was really good, but the view and the ambiance was stunning! And not over priced like we have often encountered

Came here after a walk around the park located behind the restaurant. We had a pizza which was very disappointing in comparison to other pizzas of the same price around Croatia. It’s was very soggy and tasteless, the toppings didn’t taste like good quality ingredients. I had a spaghetti carbonara which I did eat as I was starving but it was a hard meal to finish. I was very very disappointed to see that they hadn’t cooked the sauce correctly and ended up just making scrambled eggs. An easy mistake to make for an at home cook but I expect better coming from a restaurant kitchen. Also the pancetta tasted like a plastic packet.

We hiked along the coast into Split and came upon this Pizza place. The pizza was very good ( it didn’t need the sour cream on it!) the Greek salad was good too. It started to rain and the staff came out and opened the awnings. The view is beautiful!
