The 25 best lounges in Split

Such a fun night out. We felt safe the entire time and had so much fun we went back 4 times! Drinks were good and quickly served, and the music was consistently good. Club felt full but not suffocating, and the crowd was really fun, mostly young tourists. Vanilla has become one of our absolute favorites, and I can’t wait to go back!

The bouncer in the photo is completely unprofessional. My four friends and I (males, 21–23) bought tickets for the all-you-can-drink party on Saturday, August 16. At around 11 p.m., one of my friends needed to use an ATM, so he left the club, expecting that he would be able to return since he already had a bracelet proving he had paid for a ticket. To his shock, when he came back, this particular bouncer told him that he was not allowed to enter and had to stand back in line as if he hadn’t already paid. Other bouncers wanted to let him in, since he had a bracelet, but the bouncer in the photo didn’t allow it. Since my friend had been missing for a while, I decided to go look for him. Before leaving the club, I asked another bouncer if I would be able to return since I also had a bracelet. He confirmed that I could. After I found my friend, we were both denied entry by the same bouncer. Even though his colleague had promised to let me back in, and we showed our bracelets proving we had already paid, we were still unexplainably refused entry. This happened around 12:50 a.m. on August 17. The bouncer behaved very rudely, saying we couldn’t enter simply because he “decided so.” He was acting extremely unprofessional. In the end, we had to spend 30 minutes waiting in line with people who hadn’t even bought tickets. This behaviour is unacceptable. Staff should treat guests respectfully and professionally. Fire him immediately because Vanilla is losing customers.

I went to this club last night with a group of seven French friends, all around 20 years old. We spent on average €150 per person, but the experience was extremely disappointing and even violent. First, the men’s restroom was locked. When we tried to go in, the bouncer came out angry and shouted “shut up” in English before slapping me hard in the face and slamming the door. Later, we finally managed to enter the bathroom. Someone who wasn’t part of our group asked, “Are there any French people here?” We replied and started singing our national anthem, just for fun. The same bouncer stormed back in, yelling in Croatian, and without asking any questions or trying to understand the situation, he targeted me again. He slapped me three more times in the face and punched me in the stomach. This is unacceptable behavior. We came to have fun and enjoy the night like any other tourists. Instead, we were assaulted for no reason. The bouncer didn’t try to identify anyone responsible — he just took out his anger on a random French guest. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Very mean to tourists, both the personal and the locals. The DJ was so bad that I was wondering if they just took a random homeless guy from the street and let him play. Wouldn’t recommend this club if you’re looking for a good night out.

Very good club in Split. A bit of a walk away from the main centre so be prepared to walk 25/30 minutes or just catch an uber. Music is good, drinks are very reasonably priced. Usually the end of a bar crawl.

The wait in line was over an hour long (not really the club's fault but it is annoying), the security is rude, one started pushing a big group of people atleast twice, all security is like 195cm tall and really strong and when they pushed people like 20 people almost all fell, at the same time he cursed at them (since I speak croatian I know what he said). Another security screamed at people to move near the exit, I don't know if he physically pushed them, probably yes. I undestand foreigners can be extremely difficult to deal with but that is not the professional or in any way a decent way the entrance fee is 15 euro which is not really expensive, the drinks are actually not that expensive, but it their quality is debatable. the staff at bar were alright, nothing to complain about The biggest problem after waiting 1h+ and rude staff is the music itself. poor song selection overall with some exceptions, the remixes were mid at best. Weird transitions and beat drops. if the music was better the atmosphere would be so much better and all the hassle, wait and rudeness could have been forgiven. Even tho I'm croatian i prefer pop over our songs, I was very disappointed. The club was really crowded, barely able to move until like 3am when it started to clear out a bit. There is an open air section but there is literally nothing happening there, literal silence and people coming out to breathe from the heat inside. That's a big missed opportunity imo I don't recommend this club, just simply did not have a good time there. I was in one of the best clubs in Europe, their professionalism, smoothness in operation, atmosphere, quality of music blew me away. Even had more space for dancing there at peak hours than at Vanilla. There I had an absolute blast so I will always compare any future clubs to that, and Vanilla doesn't compare at all.

The place was quite full at the moment of arriving but the vibe was amazing. People were singing and dancing to the cool rock songs of the musician. There is table service but I would recommend picking your drinks from the bar since the drinks we ordered arrived almost 20 minutes after we ordered them. Drink prices are quite high for a place with a more chill vibe. The location is quite special but too expensive.

Very quiet on Sunday night. But we enjoyed the free nice live Jazz & Blues music upstairs.

Opened since mid 90ties, ghetto remains the heart of Split alternative music and performance scene that blends a mix of gorgeous old town terrace vibe and contemporary alternative hang out. The staff is always welcoming and the atmosphere fantastic. A must visit place for anyone looking for an authentic Split alternative experience or just a nice evening out with live music and a great atmosphere

I met a couple of friends for a 15 min chat and ordered a small sparkling water as i was about to go for a drive. 4€ ! Small water. I had told a group of local friends to meet me there and say hi before i leave and maybe stay for the concert which was about to start, I told them not to come after i saw the bill. Prices are more acceptable on fancy cafés by the sea than in this venue that used to be alternative and for locals. Sorry to my musician friends who perform there, I'm not supporting this anymore. Oh, and there was no paper in the toilets, and guests hadn't even arrived yet.

I 100% recommend this bar. The atmosphere was incredible. Not only the waitress and the bartender, also the other customers and the band’s musicians made my nights in Split unforgettable. The great thing is that every night was different, we listened to jazz, tango, and electronic music. A beautiful experience :)

Ghetto is a very special place. You will find a very curated musical scene, diverse and interesting. The atmosphere is very cool. Another great thing is that they have artistic activities the whole year. During summer you can enjoy the patio with live music and nice drinks Definitely is a place to visit if you are going to Split.

Very nice atmosphere and the garden. Nice service, the bartender helped us to pick great beers (even the one that doesn’t taste like beer as i wanted it😆) very nice ambient and you can also socialize there. It’s not easy to find and not a lot of people know about it so it’s less touristy and not really overpriced. 10/10 recommended

Went with a large group of friends and unfortunately we did not have the fun time we were expecting. The mojito bucket wasn’t very tasty and the space was very limited. I would recommend for the vibes but would not stay there the entire night :(

Too many people for a Wednesday. Drink prices are average. Entry is €10 per person. Ain't very cheap compared to Croatian prices. The music is pretty good, and there are a lot of young people here. I give a strong minus because this is the only free spot available. I tried to go toilet and people did hit on my head. Total catastrophe.

I have to give a one star unfortunately to this place because of mostly two people which put an end to our stay there. We were a large group of girls that had spent over 2h there and over 500 euros. Apparently we were no longer welcome because 2 people put their knees on the cushion seats. We had no prior warning and were automatically kicked out, we had just received a round of shots, that we did not take. We were polite excused ourselves, but apparently they do not give any warning. When spoking to the manager after, she did not do anything. This bar is poorly managed even though we met some nice staff. Very unfortunate... do not recommend (a side note the music is really not great, no flow and we couldn't here any of the songs) FYI: After they replied to the above comment the establishment went to google review to have my comment removed. I appealed this and my comment has been posted back. This is a very sneaky move from management. Would not trust this establishment.

Noah, Zoe, Sophia, Caitlin, Sydney were absolutely incredible genuinely were amazing made the experience so incredible and I’d recommend it 100% to come to this hostel you will meet and have a great time with people.

The staff? Absolute legends. Their mixology skills are only matched by their warmth and charm. They’re part drink alchemists, part best friends you didn’t know you needed. From crafting bespoke frozen marvels to making you feel right at home, they turn every visit into an unforgettable chill-fest.

Completely sexist and rude staff. We watched a group of 15 girls queue up for this bar who barely look 18 years old, all were let in for FREE with NO ID checked (even though it’s now meant to be 21+) Me and my friends were then stopped by a very rude and angry bouncer who pulled a rope handrail out of the door and demanded us to pay 10 euro entry free and for all of us to show our ID’s. This was not a problem for us as we are all 22, but out of principle from watching the queue in front of us enter for no charge and how we was met with such rudeness - we decided to take our money elsewhere. Very disappointed as this was one of the places we wanted to visit as have heard good things, don’t believe the hype. If you don’t want to be disrespected and made feel unwelcome - i would recommend steering clear of this place.

Absolutely amazing small bar. Reserve if you are able to. The music was great and very neat inside. This was one of my favourite spots in old Dubrovnick and a little hidden gem.

Disappointed. They play some cozy music, but don't expect performances. They're definitely not a regular occurrence. A bit of an awkward visit really. They told me there's no menu, although I see the menu in front of me in the shape of an old book. Their offer is limited and they lack lots of stuff. Coffee machine was out of order. No hot beverages. One type of rum. Guinness and some other beers. Service wasn't hospitable, especially not with the menu situation. Because of that prices were unclear and it's rather expensive. It has a small patio. Imo this is basic hole in the wall bar to have a quick drink and go. Definitely not a jazz bar whatever they say

A quaint and cozy place which offers live music on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Hidden gem tucked in a small alleyway. We found it with the help of Google direction. The jazz was good, the menu itself is a fun read. The courtyard has the view of somebody's terrace and laundry which was kind of funny. When it was busy the music can fade into the background but overall, a very nice place to chill out.

Great atmosphere! Very cozy place with different seating areas. We played some chess and there was live music. The service made my favorite cocktail for me on request: old fashioned.

Lovely little jem hidden in the old part of the town, so cozy and warm. Excellent selection of drink, very friendly staff. Perfect for relaxing and appreciating Roman architecture. You can enjoy a game of chess or read of the books from their library

We had such an incredible experience at Lvxor in Split! Tucked right in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace, the setting is absolutely magical, but what really stood out was the food and service. We ordered both pizza and pasta, and they were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff made the evening even better. They were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome without ever being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that delivers equally on atmosphere, food, and service, but Lvxor does it flawlessly. If you’re in Split and want an unforgettable meal, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Unbeatable location near palace. Seats on cushions overlooking courtyard but we elected to sit inside in lovely airy two story room. Brunched on scrambled eggs on guacamole which was spicy and delicious although unrecognizable to someone from Oaxaca. Service good. Very relaxing way to start the day.

After a long day of walking around Split, we were tired and just wanted to stop for a beer before heading back to our hotel. We remembered this restaurant across from the cathedral, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a beer, but ended up ordering a pizza as well—and it turned out to be incredibly delicious. We finished with a wonderful dessert that was just as amazing. The service was great, and the place itself is charming. It was a perfect way to relax after a busy day. Highly recommend!

We had the most magical evening at this restaurant. The atmosphere was truly beautiful — live music filled the air, people were dancing outside, and the location couldn’t be more perfect, with a stunning view that made everything feel cinematic. The food was excellent: beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Krešo, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even more special. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming, which added to the charm of the night. It honestly felt like stepping into a movie — full of nostalgia, joy, and connection. This restauran (restaurant to my friends) has the glorious atmosphere of a castle with walls of ancient stone. The service is impeccable. They could not do enough to accommodate our tastes; I requested a small mixed salad, off menu, and a most delicious well appointed rather large salad appeared. The Teramisu was outstanding. The pasta with an octopus ragu, outrageous. And there is live music playing an unending assortment of American music (yeah, I know) in the plaza at the door. A perfect, late night Sunday dinner.

We had breakfast vouchers from the hotel we stayed at. At the restaurant, we were given a set menu that could be used to order breakfast using the vouchers. All 3 options include coffee or tea and orange juice. All 3 options are not vegetarian. I asked our server if they could skip the salmon and add more vegetables to my option. Our server was nice enough to work with the chef and make me a vegetarian option. I was pleasantly surprised that they were so accommodating! My breakfast was lovely and I got a great start to explore Split.

This a must-visit restaurant in Split. It’s right by the Dioclesian Palace which made us nervous it would be a tourist trap but it turned out to be the best meal of our Croatian adventure. Fabulous food, delicious wine, a lovely setting and attentive and helpful staff. Highly highly recommend!

We've been visiting the top 50 cocktail bars in the world. This place isn't on the list but should be. Genuinely the best cocktails I've ever had. The One Beer and Brown Sugar were out of this world. Also awesome service and uber cool atmosphere. We'll be back!

Amazing place, came in by accident since the place we were looking to visit was closed. This turned out to be our luck as this place is simply amazing, the coffee was really good, the brunch items both tasty but also beautifully presented, so nice in fact that I was sceptical about eating the yogurt, I didn't want to stir everything on the plate. The service was friendly and helpful, no problem with a small change of a menu item, food and drinks came fast and served with a smile and friendly words. Love this place, will come again.

Fantastic breakfast @ The Daltonist. €12 brunch menu was delicious and filling. Can recommend the Shakshuka focaccia & Yogurt bowl. Great service. Cosy environment, while they played chilled hip hop vibes. ** Back on an evening. Didn't disappoint. Soothing chill vibes, smart cocktails, cold beers. Yes. I'll be back.

We loved this bar! It was decorated so nicely inside and had some very delicious and unique drinks. We also got the dates of paradise and they were exceptional!

Unfortunately, I didn’t like it at all. I would rate the food -10/10. I ordered shakshuka, but unfortunately it turned out to be a classic expectation vs. reality case… The first photo shows what I received, the second one shows what a proper shakshuka actually looks like 🙌🏼There wasn’t enough tomato sauce, which is the very base of this dish, even though it was clearly listed in the menu (photo attached as well). My partner had the English breakfast, but sadly it wasn’t worth the money either – the sausages weren’t tasty, and the mushrooms were over-peppered. The only thing we actually enjoyed was the coffee. Unfortunately, the service was also below expectations. When we expressed our opinion about the “shakshuka,” the waiter simply said, “it happens, sorry,” and that was it. I believe that in a good place, the service should be on a higher level, with an actual solution offered. In short, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Another gem in Split, together with String's Bar. Lovely service, great atmosphere and incredible cocktails! The carrot cake one was to die for! I loved the mix between the yogurt foam and the actual cocktail, it was such an enjoyable drink. So easy (maybe too easy!!) To drink. My partner had the amaretto sour which was incredible!Definitely recommend this spot in you are in Split!

Had a lovely breakfast here! The juices were super fresh, and the toasts were delicious. We tried the shakshuka and focaccia bread—both flavorful and satisfying. Great way to start the day! It is both hearty and vegetarian-friendly.

Great beach club offering multiple vibes depending on what you’re after. If you want a party atmosphere with bottle service, arrive after 2 pm as the music doesn’t really start until early afternoon. For a more laid-back beach experience, be ready to share the space with locals. Service on the beach is decent but not on par with the restaurant’s attentive staff. Prices are high but fair for a premium beach club. I’d return, but next time I’d reserve day beds on the deck. A little more expensive than beach chairs but you have private access to water not requiring water shoes. If you stick to the beach, bring water shoes—the rocky shoreline can be tough if you’re not used to it. We paid €140 for four chairs, two umbrellas, and four towels.

The location is newly renovated. The view and water is very nice. 35 Euro for the simplest deckchair, 50 Euro for one with Polster, 100Euro for a 2 person lounge and 10 for a towel on the expensive side. We decided to take deck chairs for 4 person. Prices from the bar and restaurants are in the high end. The dishes tastes very good but the fish for 37Euro is very tiny with a few pieces of potatoes. Many waiters were working there but it takes endless to get your drinks. They told us they are stressed because of the many tourists but the club was half empty. Guests from Radisson get the deck chairs for free. So all in all a nice place only for tourists. You can spend a very nice place there but much room from the manager to improve on many aspects.

Overall it is a gorgeous and relaxing place to spend the day, but 35€ is overpriced for a sun lounger. This price didn’t include a towel. We had to ask them to wipe the tables which were filthy, there was rubbish all around the sun loungers like dirty socks and there was even rubbish floating in the water. Not what you would expect for a ‘luxury vibe’ beach club… The sushi and cocktail I had was delicious but the cocktail for 17€ was half ice, wouldn’t get it again.

If you're looking for a nice clean quiet beach area, then this might be a place to checkout. A couple things to keep in mind that food and the beach chair rental are very expensive; the regular lounge chair is 35 € each , the next price up is a set of daybeds for 100€ and the cabana is 150€ which can fit up to 10 people, and a towel is 10€, the price is based on all day rental. If you're planning to be here all day then it's worth checking out.

Amazing atmosphere and vibe, love the aesthetic of the beach club super ritzy and cute! Service and food were amazing and I loved the DJ and the dancing so much! I had so much fun with my family, the views were outstanding and truly relaxing and the perfect vacation spot! MY FAVORITE part was when Illusionist H came up to our table he was AMAZING put on such a fascinating and unique performance it was so incredible and he was an amazing performer I was mind blown!

Really liked this spot. Got off a boat and needed a place to hang out by the water for the day and this was the perfect place. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Food was just alright. They need to clean their bathrooms, for a club charging 100 euros for entry for a day bed they can take care of that more. The details matter. Overall a great experience though.

Fresh place, good menu, value for money, great food and good drink selection. Loads of crew, but all of them were very junior and had no idea how service and F&B operation works. Only one chef in the kitchen and all the service crew walking around in circles with there eyes down on the POS or in the floor, very hard to get eye contact and get to order. Nice and friendly and positive attitude once you get the attention at the table. Management need to step up with guidance. So much misses potential. Good luck!

This was one of our best meals in Split. My friend and I were sat at the adjoining bar the night before and the food looked and smelled so good that we decided to come back and try it the next night and it did not disappoint! I got the nachos, my friend got the chicken burrito salad and both were amazing. My nachos had a nice big serving of guacamole which is always nice as most places are stingy with it. The drinks were incredible, my coconut margarita was so delicious I had to get a second! Our waitress had the most fantastic energy as well and provided great service.

Amazing food super filling we were a party of 3, we brought the nachos to share and a main each I had the burrito and my fiends had the burrito salad, very filling. Party vibes throughout and an extensive cocktails list with lots of different margaritas. The staff are super lovely and fun, music throughout the experience would recommend for just drinks as well !

Sanctuary Cantina is a really cool little bar and restaurant, with friendly staff and a great vibe. We had one of the best Mexican meals we've ever had l and we've eaten it all over the world, including Mexico! We had vegetarian quesadillas, pork burrito, chicken red enchilada, vegetarian red enchilada and Mexican rice (unfortunately I only took photos of the quesadillas and burrito because we devoured everything so quickly!). Everything was full of flavour and just the right balance if spice (you can spice things up if you want too). We would definitely come again if we were in Split again.

The best Mexican food in Europe! I’ve been to Split a few times and every time Sanctuary is my first stop: the food is amazing, the cocktails are delicious, and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I’ve loved everything I’ve had here but I highly recommend the wet burrito, pork quesadilla, and the spicy margarita

This is a very fun Mexican restaurant located in the city centre. Our waitress was lovely and helpful. I loved the diverse and delicious selection of mocktails they offer. The food was good too, but I found the nachos disappointing as there was hardly any meat in them. The seats are pretty uncomfortable, too.

Lovely food, great staff and great choice of music playing. Had the beef burrito and some of the hot sauce too. Also drank a locally brewed pale ale

The best cocktail bar in Split and wider. Amazing list of signature cocktails with an ever evolving list. Also, atmosphere and interior decoration are worth mentioning. Ideal place for going out with your friends on a Friday or Saturday evening.

I tried many cocktails in Split and on Hvar, but this bar has the most unusual and fascinating ones. The bartenders can seem a little intimidating at first, but don’t be put off by the absence of overly sweet, American-style service — these people are here to do their job, and they do it well. I loved everything I tried; the drinks were artistic and full of flavor, yet still accessible to the average palate. PS: Paloma cocktail is a masterpiece, I tried to do it at home strictly by the recipe, and it was not the same. LOVE IT HERE.

Superb cocktail bar tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Chic, minimalist decor. The barmaid was charming and agreed to make me a Maraschino-based cocktail that wasn't on the menu - excellent! A must-see address, far from the tourist traps.

Bar Sistema is hands down the best cocktail bar in Split. The atmosphere is chic yet cozy, the service is flawless, and the cocktails are pure artistry. Every detail feels carefully thought, from the presentation to the balance of flavors. I had their Sangria and then Sip, and both were great!

Bar Sistema is a world-class cocktail bar that could easily rival any top bar globally. Each drink is thoughtfully crafted with precision and creativity. The design, vibe, and expert mixology make this one of the most memorable drinking spots in Croatia.

Really great cocktail Bar with a great vibe and amazing decor! The cocktails on their list are definitely unique, so at first it was a bit difficult trying to understand what to choose however, I went for the Amber and my parnet went for the Pure Brightnes. Both of the drinks were outstanding, it was a really enjoyable experience. Definitely in the top 3 of my favourite cocktails bars together with String's Bar and The Daltonist!

Obviously this place is in a beautiful location. But to have many arbitrary rules about how to pay and where to sit is ridiculous considering each lounge chair is 35 euro. My partner and I wanted to sit in lounge chairs directly next to each other but were told we had to sit with an umbrella between us. So a random stranger could come and sit inches next to each of us. We complied however we were relieved when some other guests came and asked us to move so they could sit together as well. We assumed this was a happy solution for everyone. However, when the woman came and saw that we changed she gave us a huge attitude. We assured her that it seemed to accommodate everyone. She told us “you don’t get to decide that. I do.” Frankly, for the luxury price of the sun beds, I expect service to the same standard. Not to be scolded like a child and stressed for the afternoon each time she walked by. Our waitress was kind and polite. Bathrooms were well equipped with soap and toilet paper but filthy. Also, you can pay for food in euros but only over 70€ otherwise only in cash. But to rent the chairs you need to pay in cash. Seems not only suspicious but arbitrary.

Spent the day at the beautiful beach this lounge bar sits on. I have to admit it was super busy. However, the service was quick. My waitress Anna brought my drink and food to my lounge chair which I completely enjoyed highly recommend this place. Ask for Anna she's fantastic

The bar and beach here were great. I really enjoyed the lounges you could relax on, though they cost €35 each, which can get pricey if you’re with a big group. Still, if you plan to stay the whole day, it’s worth it. The bar staff can bring drinks straight to your lounge, which is a nice touch. They also offer food, but it’s mostly pre-prepared meals for about €16—not amazing, but decent. The service and atmosphere were both excellent. Just a heads-up: it gets extremely busy in the afternoon, so I recommend arriving before noon to get a good parking spot and secure a lounge. P.S. You can also sit on the beach with just your towel if you don’t want to pay for a lounge.

The service at this place is excellent, thanks largely to Ana, who made our experience very pleasant. However, the prices are quite high for such a limited menu that only offers pizza and salad, and they only accept cash. If it weren’t for Ana’s impeccable service, we probably would have gone elsewhere. Still, her warmth and professionalism made all the difference during our visit.

Great beach club for a day hang! 35 euro for lounge chairs may seem a bit much but if you spend a few hours there, it feels well worth it for the drinks and food service, music, and easy access to the water. Pio, our server, did a great job looking after us with quick drinks service and good vibes.

We went a lot to this beach and its beautiful. Water, service and everything is really nice. It is very calm with background music and the water is cristal clear. The food and drinks are a little expensive, but thats normal in touristic places. You have to come early to have place to park the car, if you come with it and to become the sun beds (till 11 am you have place, after that is very difficult). But we liked a lot and we would come back any time.

35€ per lounger felt expensive for the experience (crowded, lots of people on towels nearby). Food options were limited and not great (cold sandwiches, wraps, pizzas). All cash for the loungers and 70€ credit card minimum for food/drink. Overall would not return or recommend.

No longer a public bar/club. They are only open for private events now according to our Uber driver. Do not try to grab a pre-show drink there before hitting vanilla, you'll be as disappointed as we are now

The place is great. Nice customer service and good beer. Or at least for my taste. The sound is great and I had a great time dancing on some nice grooves. Sadly I have to give it just four stars since there were not enough people on the party I went to and that is the problem with Split in general. Not enough party people when you need them to get the party started. Hopefully other visitors will have a better time with more locals dancing on the floor.

A classic dive of a club, come here for crappy music and underaged drunks. Once a staple of urban and alternative culture for the youth of the city now just a way for losers to pretend to be djs and promoters. Shame because I had some good times but it has failed to evolve and continue to use underground as an excuse for no standards and filthy toilets. Do not bring a date here and do not expect to see anything remotely attractive and well dressed.

Not open despite its hours saying so. Also it was a Saturday so the “only open weekends” thing clearly didn’t apply here. Nice

We had a very disappointing experience here and definitely will not return. For starters, we ordered the soup and the codfish spring roll. The spring roll was the only decent thing we had crispy, flavorful, and well done. Unfortunately, the soup was a complete letdown. It was bland and absolutely no richness or depth you’d expect from a restaurant charging these prices. For mains, I had the squid ink risotto and my husband had the Angus beef. After our starters, we were left waiting almost 20 minutes for the mains. The risotto was dull, lacking any balance or seasoning, and had an unpleasant aftertaste. The Angus beef was chewy and poorly cooked, paired with mashed potatoes that were supposed to be elevated with truffle oil. As a country that actually produces truffles, this version was shockingly below standard flat, oily, and with none of the fragrant quality you’d expect. Service made the experience even worse. We were given a completely different menu from another table, which left us questioning whether there was some form of bias or discrimination happening. And when we asked for the bill, a female server simply pointed her finger at my original (male) server, refusing to assist and continuing her personal chat instead. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable for a place that positions itself as “above average.” Overall: long waiting times, overpriced dishes, inconsistent menus, poor service, and food that is far below the mark in flavor and execution. One good spring roll can’t save an otherwise awful dining experience.

Bokeria in Split is a beautiful restaurant with a stylish and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a special place. The presentation of the dishes is excellent — everything looks amazing and carefully prepared. However, while some plates taste just as good as they look, others don’t quite deliver the same “wow” factor once you try them. Prices are on the higher side compared to other spots in Split, so it’s definitely more of a treat-yourself place. Overall, Bokeria is worth visiting for the ambiance and experience, but not every dish lives up to its presentation.

Truwel and prosciutto pasta was delicious, Caesar salad needed more sauce. Soup was ok, byt nothing special; soparnik is really good here, recommend it. Amazing wine (local chardonney). Service is very good and attentive.

Sat upstairs by a window. This place was really good. Everything was executed perfectly. The sea bass with the cauliflower puree was a great combo. Dont skip soparnik either for the appetizer!! Would 1000% return. Great location in the old center of Split

Had a great sea bass meal here this evening - very reasonably priced. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and a great vibe atmosphere. Without doubt, if you are into Croatian wine, this is THE PLACE in Split to visit. They have over 160 Croatian wines to choose from, ~30 of which you can buy by the glass. I had a Grk, Pošip sur lie, and a dessert wine all from Croatia - the first two with my sea bass. All were excellent!

If I could give Bokeria six stars, I would. This place doesn’t just serve food - it performs it. Set inside a refurbished 19th-century hardware store, the ambience hits the sweet spot between Mediterranean elegance and modern soul: high ceilings, warm wood, slow jazz, and the low hum of a packed dining room that feels alive with conversation and clinking glasses. Now, the black risotto - the best I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world. It’s made from cuttlefish ink, rich enough to stain your soul, creamy from the slow-simmered arborio rice, yet with that perfect bite that tells you someone in the kitchen respects texture. The cuttlefish itself - tender but with structure, brined in its own ink, releasing that deep, oceanic sweetness that hits you like a memory you didn’t know you had. Each forkful lands with the intensity of truffle and sea salt and ends with a whisper of citrus. Pair it with a Medica, Croatia’s honey rakija - it’s smooth, golden, and just sweet enough to round the salt of the sea from the risotto. Follow that with the mint rakija, which feels like brushing your teeth with liquid sunlight - crisp, cool, and sharp enough to make you grin. Bokeria isn’t just a restaurant. This restaurant charmed us completely! The historic setting with its gorgeous interior made dinner feel special. Food was delicious - modern takes on Dalmatian classics with perfect execution. Their wine list impressed us with excellent local options we wouldn't find elsewhere.

Excellent dishes. Octopus was prepared to a level I’ve never had. Not chewy, slight sweet and nutty. Well balanced dish with chickpeas olives etc. The restaurant is curated to a level consistent and expected from Michelin guide restaurants down to the lighting, live music and 10/10 service. Not stuffy, pushy just a laid back atmosphere that will keep you coming back when you’re in Split. Highly recommended

Just amazing! Highly recommend Zinfandel for an amazing meal and evening out in Split. The food was delicious and they were able to cater to my dietary requirements (including dairy and some seafood) without any issue or compromise on flavour. The wines were all superb and the waiter gave great recommendations and information about everything we tried. There was also live music, which made for a great atmosphere.

I’m from Toronto and I’ve come to Split the last two years in a row and Zinfandel is always a non-negotiable restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff is so amazing and hospitable. They remembered me and my friend from the year before and welcomed us with warm greetings. This most recent year, 2025, we went a total of 3 times within a span of 24 hours. They are also amazing with accommodating to gluten-free and dairy-free restrictions. Big thank you to Igor who remembered us from last year. Also thank you to Leon and Marina who served us this year also.

Food was sublime. Every dish we tried was fantastic. Ingredients and combinations work so well. Service was fast and professional. Only cons was that the live music was a bit too loud. Otherwise, the best experience we had in our trip. Will not hesitate to come back if I ever return to Split.

We came across Zinfandel from the Michelin guide. We were very excited to give it a try. We had the lunch deal (two courses for €29). We had - cauliflower mushroom starter (mushrooms were extremely salty) - pesto risotto (there were supposed to be shrimps inside, I got two very very small pieces) - beef burger was actually nice - dessert was supposed to be a chocolate tart, it was very disappointing the only option they advertised wasn’t available for lunch, we had the cannoli, it was a bit too hard. Service was slow, we received a discount as a compensation. Overall, our experience did not match the Michelin recommendation.

This restaurant is a must go. We had the tuna steak and the duck breast. Both plates were sooo good. The Markus white wine to go with it was amazing. It truly deserves it’s Michelin mention.

We ate the muscles with figs, which was for me a bit of a strange combination. The fish and steak afterwards was very good. The service was good. The restaurant was fully booked, but you could still talk, even with the live singer that did a great job. We sat at the window and the garbage collector passed 2 times which gave an unpleasant smell.

Found this restaurant with a seafood stew that seemed reasonable €29 to satisfy my craving for it. but it was not to be - as I was served the Dory Fillet instead, as the item I pointed to was just below the Dory. Our service staff prob read my non verbal cue instead n fr his angle he saw me pointing to Dory n did not catch me saying ‘brodeto’. Aww well it was still delicious! N the other dishes ordered by my family members were also great!

We are here in October the food was lovely we all ordered pizzas very reasonably prices large menu and lots of options. Staff were super friendly. We sat inside and the interior was beautiful especially the outdoor seating if it was less windy. Even offered a takeaway box as we didn’t finish the whole pizza.

Nice looking restaurant with great view. Food was ok but burgers could been abit warmer plus seafood pasta was too oily for me. But food was not so bad. Prawns and fish were excelent! Staff very friendly. I recommend if you want to eat in front of nice sea view

Had a good time overall. My steak and my friend’s burger were tasty, but the wagyu was overpriced for a very small portion and came without sides. The waiter also didn’t mention that the wagyu dip wasn’t available until after it was served. Service could be better, but a nice perk is free entry to a nearby club if you spend over €30.

I loved the food and the vibe, and Maggie the hostess was a raye of sunshine. But the service was not good, the waiter reacted annoyed everytime I ordered something. Second glass of wine was tiny and warm, but I didn't dare to ask for an icecube. Dining on Riva: always difficult.

Visiting for the day and we were STARVING!! Didn't really know where to go, but since they had rooftop dining, we thought, 'why not?!' GREAT location to people watch! Beautiful area. Was able to get seated right away.. kind of a bizarre layout for seating, but, whatever.. still .. we are in Split!! Better than being at home! Waiter greeted us and brought the menu... Oh no!! We don't know how to read 'Croatian'?? Thank goodness for Google! :D We were completely lost.. so ordered bread, mac and cheese and dessert. The drinks came out quickly. The mac and cheese was dry.. bread delicious.. and the dessert... oh my! YUM!!!! (funny looking, but tasted out of this world!) After the meal, the waiter realized he gave us the wrong menu and apologized profusely!! He asked why we didn't tell him to bring us a menu that we could read?! We really didn't know they offered another one in English! We all had a chuckle over that. While we were not fans of the mac and cheese, I'm sure it would have been incredible straight out of the oven. They also probably have an awesome menu, we just didn't know what it all was! ;) If you want to people watch, Roof 68 is where it's at! :)

The view is great and the breakfast was good, the place is beautiful also. Just we went there at 8am as it was mentioned on their google, but they told us it opens at 9am, giving 4 star for the service because we had to go ask someone to come and take our orders.

On a rainy day then had blankets which was very nice.. feel like place is kinda a hidden gem because it is upstairs and has weird marketing advertisements like "fetish" outside. But its so cozy and the music is good. Not too loud and not annoying. Regarding food, very tiny portions for price. unfortunately. Waiter was very fast and service was good. Maybe i went on a non busy day as it was 3pm and In October on a rainy day. Also had free wifi Hotspot from media king! There are not many good places to work on laptop in Split asides the library so this was fantastic. My service was very fast and food came out quick too, so I am happy to provide a tip. Wasn't bothered on laptop either. Actually asked waiter if its ok for me to sit and he said I can sit until tomorrow if I like! I saw other people order burgers that looked very good and big portion. When paying, he was transparent that there was a 10% tip included already. I read other reviews that said they dont tell you theres a tip included, so maybe this restaurant has changed or something. I was happy to tip more and appreciate the service of the waiter in tracksuit who seemed to be a Croatian local. I also saw some reviews saying the staff is rude or impolite which i don't think is true. It may be a cultural difference because locals just have different and more straightforward communication style, which can be jarring for Americans or British tourists but at least you are experiencing different cultural communication styles this way, as Croatian and Balkan/Slavics do not view this as rude and they do not have bad intentions either.

Overall really great experience! The waiter that greet us was really friendly and found us a super lovely spot, the one that was serving us was also really nice. Drinks were super tasty and the food was delicious! Ambient couldn’t be nicer and we loved the “privacy” at the lazy bag area. You ofcourse pay for the view and location at the summer time, but it was actually very reasonable price for the size and taste of the food.

We came here for a drink on our last night in Split. This place is just below the apartment we stayed in. Wish we had tried sooner. Drinks were very affordable, and delicious! Best Pina Colada I had in ages. The location is very good! 10/10

Lovely outside terrace area with shade. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is Mexican inspired with additional options like all-day breakfast. The OJ & coffee is very good, I had the avocado, scrambled eggs with toast for breakfast - eggs were nice, but the cubes of avocado were not very ripe & was quite hard. I would have expected better quality bread. It was standard slice bread (toasted) The quesadilla had a nice flavour but not much filling inside. Side salad was also good. Many people eat here, which is a good sign, so it may have just been what I ordered. Reasonably priced & I would return again to try other options on the menu.

We had the most amazing early evening dinner, as we skipped lunch we were very hungry and tried their varied food options — French toast (all day breakfast), chicken quesadillas, and choco lava cake. Best choco lava cake served with berries and ice cream, amazing fresh French toast with fruits in layers with syrup and conserve, and quesadillas were a flavour burst. They also offer decaf coffee which is so great! But the cappuccino was very small. All fairly priced. Our server was extremely kind and very efficient. We will come back for more! Highly recommended

Avoid the salmon and avocado toast. Disgusting industrial guacamole sauce, cheap ingredients, barely toasted, carelessly presented. We could not finish it. The cappuccini disappointed too. Ratings in Split inflated.

They have just renovated the place. Atmosphere is cozy. Extra points for having a non smoking room. The new food menu is great, with good prices. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back. The only issue is that they only accept card for bills over 15 euros, according to the waiter.

Made a reservation few days before, came at the exact time, no-one greeted us, after reaching out to the third waiter that was working there we said that we had reservation at 9pm The waiter said they canceled because we were late. It was 9:03 pm. After i took my phone and showed him the time, they showed us the table, it was clear that they mixed our reservation. When we were sat we ordered food, it was cold and taste was meh.

Great everyday food well priced. They have a great Sushi range, we had a very good premium burger (but get the bbq sauce on the side as there was a bit too much), pasta with bacon and truffle, great service, lovely warm terrace with good views. Not what you expect in a mall. It was almost empty at 7pm on a Saturday night which was a shame. Would come again.

If it was possible to give a rating of minus 1, this is the institution that would get it, waiters do not pay attention to you laugh, and have to take the menu itself, the rolls are disgusting, it's just garbage, is it possible to serve people and call it rolls? We came here before and it got worse, we won't come again, I don't recommend this place to anyone

Nice view and good staff. The food was terrible though, the rice was overcooked and the chilli mayonnaise had no taste. It was like eating a tasteless lump of porridge. Unfortunately I don't recommend the sushi but maybe something else is better.

Our order was completely forgotten, and when we finally pointed it out, there was no effort to make up for the delay—not even a simple offer of bread or small bites while we waited. The staff didn’t acknowledge the mistake properly, and the bill wasn’t reduced, which felt like a missed opportunity to show some basic service. Location is nice, so in a place like this, service makes all the difference, and sadly, it was nowhere near the standard it should be. Avoid this place!

Great place but the waiter is a very cheeky person. tells you to come to the counter to see the bill and suggests to pay cash and unfortunately i didn't had cash. when he heard it he became outrageous, speaking very loud and threatening. We asked him to call the police but he asked for the money and just went away. Never coming back! Do not go there until management is changed.

Awesome cocktail bar!! Was recommended this place by a local and it did not disappoint. Inventive signature drinks + well done classics. Prices are great and service is friendly and attentive. Recommend trying at least 3 of the signatures - all are fab. It gets busy later and a line forms, but we got in when there were plenty of tables around 8pm - there are seats indoor and out.

Hands down, our favourite cocktail bar in Split. We were so impressed with the cocktails, the atmosphere, the decor, and the service of String's Bar to the point that we are going back there again in a few days (which it honestly rarely happens when we go on holiday!). The cocktails were had were amazing, with really unique flavours. I had the Nefertiti, which had a lovely peach flavour and so easy to drink!!

Loved the vibe at String’s Bar; cool, intimate ambience with a beautiful behind-the-bar setup sets the mood perfectly. Tried the Penicillin and it was spot on🤌🏼 balanced, smoky, and smooth. Such an amazing place! The details of everything shows how dedicated the team is and the cocktails are amazing, the prices are lower than bars in the old city center a few meters away, and they are original cocktails. The card has a lot of details and for someone like me who knows nothing about mixology, it was nice having little descriptions of the taste of the drinks!! The terrace is not very big but if you are a big group you can go inside or stay up outside. There are mocktails too for non-alcohol drinkers !

Popped in for a coffee and tea, and had a lovely cup of English tea with cold milk with no hassles. Superb view and nice bustling ambience

Me and my friends were scared that there wouldn’t be free sunbeds for us, because we came here on sunday. But staff were really great, and managed to find some for us. We spend 40€ for two sunbeds and an umbrella. Cocktails were tasty, even though they were around 10-15€ each. I know that prices seem high, but there are no cheap beach clubs in Split. They don’t actually serve food, only drinks. The view is very beautiful and water is clear. Just make sure that you can swim, because you have to get in deep water using a ladder. I would definitely reccomend this place.

Irish coffee came with loads of whipped cream that cooled the whole drink down, firtunately they solved it with a new shot of espresso! Great music, lovely view and sunset! Will come back!

Excellent location to hang out drink cocktails, beer, wine, and enjoy the views. Lots of tables and lounge chairs but you need to get there by 10 or 11 am to get a spot. Lots of beautiful people watching and great swimming in the clear Adriatic waters. For a beach bar I thought the drink prices were very reasonable.

Really great place by the sea. There is no traffic around and no loud noise, just the sound of waves. You can have a swim there. The coffee is not the best, but the view makes up for it.

Great bar hidden away in an alleyway. I found it behind the “No Stress” restaurant on the main square (Narodni Trg). You need to find the alleyway which will then take you straight to it. Very cool party atmosphere. Sure it’s pricey but good for a few drinks for sure. Get spirits & mixers (like G&Ts) to avoid disappointment with cocktails

What a wonderful place to be. I was looking for somewhere to eat. Being a vegetarian, not so easy to find good restaurants to eat. I found a restaurant next to Gaga, and at this point I didn't know it was Gaga, the place that was on my list to visit. I finished my dinner and headed further down to have a last drink. Not knowing the place, I ordered a Baileys, and then a whisky sour, finally to finish with Tom Collins. Great cocktails. Really, I have been to many places all over the world, but their cocktails are exceptional. Worth giving it a try. Bravoooo

One of ofldest caffe bars in Split, still very popular, and quite busy during weekend and tourist season. Always crowded at night. If you want to have good fun, go there for drink.

Nice mix of locals & some tourists (only if they were lucky to stumble upon this place, as its in alley off the main drag). Cool outdoor setting w/ 4 different bars in same corridor where everyone from all 4 bars conjugate in middle of the courtyard. Different music in 2 rooms - rock kinda-ish and EDM/house/Top 40. I'd definitely go back.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience here tasting a variety of Croatian wines. We were given great recommendations for wine and pairings. We even find our favorite wine ever and headed out to a local spirits store to be able to bring some back to Canada. The smoked tuna was great and the cheese pairings with the jams were wonderful as well. Highly recommend a stop here, although it is off of the main streets of the center of Split.

A hidden treasure in Split recommended by our local Airbnb host. We booked a table on the rooftop terrace and enjoyed a delicious trio of cheese, trio of prosciutto , olives and a perfectly matched wine flight. Our waiter Goran was very knowledgeable and a fun character. Seated in the front corner table we enjoyed lovely views down to the harbour and watched the crowds bustle along the promenande. Highly recommend.

My hubby and I came here on our honeymoon and had a great time! The service was outstanding. We came early on in the evening (maybe 5:30) and we got a spot right by a window. We didn’t know about the terrace upstairs or we would have gone up there for a drink! The cheese platter with preserves was fantastic! We would very highly recommend stopping in here.

NOOR was so much fun! Our Mixologist, Tihi, was very knowledgeable and made unique cocktails to our taste. The intimate environment was so sophisticated. I would also recommend dining at the restaurant across the alley called “Mazzgoon”. It is under the same ownership. I would seek out this cocktail bar without any hesitation!

This place is a hidden gem. The choice of cocktails and the expertise of the mixologists who work here, will definitely have you coming back time and time again. We visited here for a few pre-dinner cocktails and the mixologists were very helpful with their recommendations (one right after the other and all very much appreciated). Best place in Split for cocktails. Watching the cocktails get made was just as good as their taste. Highly recommend this place. Go early, when it's not too busy and talk with the bartenders about Croatian liquor and drinks. This was a really fun spot.

Part of a famous restaurant in a narrow street but definitely non-touristy, and decent place for having cocktails here in Split. The interiors are nice, and the cocktail maker is really knowledgeable and also plays good music. Definitely a try, if you looking for a good cocktail bar.

Fjaka Cocktail Bar proved to be a nightmarish disappointment in every aspect. The service was disinterested and unprofessional, the drinks lacked skill and taste, the ambiance was chaotic, and the prices were outrageously high. It's best to steer clear of this establishment and find a bar that values its customers and delivers a truly enjoyable experience. I recommend you visit any other cockatil bar and I guarantee you will have a better time. 1/5 Yes I was in the coctail bar, just because you didst see me doesn't mean i wasn't there. The only reason I wrote a bad review is because I don't want people making the same mistake as I did and spending their money here.

Best bar in the region, helped us in time of need and the staff is really receptive and friendly. The music is also very good for non local people
