Every few minutes the customer is subject to a brainwash message from the speakers addressing them as if they were brainless automatons. Precisely as if the customers were idiots. A customer who is already in the shop because they need food, has their brain stamped by an artificially enunciated marketing-like message from a robotic female voice, killing any trace of spontaneity of the mind and/or tranquility of the mind as we try to choose which articles ro buy for our nourishment and gastronomic pleasure. A very intimate moment is subverted into a plasticized consummerist mindset by a constant attack to our cognition
As we are already in the shop and we need to be in the shop, we have the right to have our minds respected and enjoy it spontaneously. As it is, we are treated as consumerist prey by the marketing machine. This is low. As we reach for the bait, our minds are used as a chartered commodity by the technocratic marketing, as if we were a number on a chart, instead of human beings
As a result we buy less and worse, because of the unconsciouss stress
Please leave people alone. Treat them with respect. If there is an offer, write it on a board at the entrance. Humanely. Forget this totalitarian artificiality and technicalism of marketing. It only makes us alienated and distant. This is the beginning of a process that affects deeply the sense of locality and belonging, subtle things that we take for granted but are the building blocks of a healthy neighbourhood. Let's nurture the humane aspects we have, instead. The actual person to person interface. And the silence. The peace and quiet
I need to have headphones as I enter the shop, since I have high cognitive awareness. And the very transition between songs is enough to listen to the malicious announcements. And high awareness is estimated at 20% of the population. But it is a fundamental human sense, everybody has it at some level. And it is perhaps not right to abuse the subconscious of the ones who have less defence mechanisms i.e. relatively lower cognitive awareness. This mechanic marketing aggression to human nature, the mechanized manipulation and depersonalized imposition of information, ultimately causes a brain drain from the neighbourhood. And before that, it suppresses our free and autonomous flow of cognition, which is our very existence as humans, as in a dystopian psychological commercialist totalitarianism. These policies and practices ultimately cause an epidemic of depression. And when these fundamental social/psychological aspects are suppressed, young people miss the subtle and beautiful stimuli and become more materialistic and consumerist. And depressed. Then, consequently we have delinquency, corruption and betting addiction, drug use etc. They miss the importance of the meanings that naturally keep us cohesive as a community, our spontaneous respect for each other and solidarity
Do we have to pay now for ad-free groceries? That is.. ad-free food. That is the type of capitalism today. We need to buy our own minds back, so omnipresently marketing is chartering our minds. I need to order grocery in order to have tranquility. And that pleasant grocery moment is over and life's small things are disappearing. And why? Because marketing is taking over our neighbourhoods. And we are allowing it
I'd like to be able to buy food with tranquility. And I'd like to be respected as a person
