Only a 2 point speaker system (very poorly adjusted) at the CUBE room (instead of 4 point), no accustic light show, too much bass, nobody cleanes up the empty glasses. 😭 Security guys are decent. Otherwise it isn't worth the €10 entrance fee. I have been there about 10 times and all the DJ's were mediocre (not to say shit). The only good thing is that you can smoke, cigarettes there... LOLZ

Mixed feelings. Club gets pretty busy and the different rooms are cool. For a Saturday night though the DJs were pretty meh.

This could be a really cool club if - no one was allowed to smoke inside - they turned on A/C on main dance floor - they played music in bar area - ideally, open up the space and make one big dance floor or at least open up the entrance to the main dance floor (got way too crowded in there)

Went here after being recommended at Babel. Usual situation as two girls = boys being desperate. After a shitty man accosted my friend THREE times after she said NO (which includes her being pinned against the wall), the workers said “get over it and enjoy your night” aka NOT a safe space for women and definitely NOT a safe space if you feel uncomfortable and speak out. The only Gem was the beautiful red girl at the entrance - she was a queen.

Great atmosphere when the party gets going. We got there a little earlier and chilled on the 1st floor before they opened up the downstairs. Definitely good house music and great dancing opportunity 👌

Security is pretty tight but once you’re in it’s great. Cocktails are strong and the decor is eclectic. Lots of chill out areas and a decent dance floor

Wowowow Such a lovely little rooftop spot, hard to find, but worth the investigation. Have been here twice now - their pizzas, cheese starters and tiramisu are a must try. Lovely service too!

Wonderful pizzas in an atmosphere that’s delightfully chaotic - loud, lively, and full of energy. Service was a little slow, but the staff were warm and friendly, and with pizzas this good it’s absolutely worth the wait. Reservations recommended

A beautiful live, nice and cozy place with an extraordinary life performance sound provided by Rui, the audio engineer. If you like to listen live club music, especially jazz, this place could offer exactly what a music lover need. Prices are decent, seats are comfortable enough and show goes over the midnight hours. One of the Porto's hidden gems.

Somehow hidden on the top level of a parking building, you need to know, or to stumble on this place. We went here for dinner. Had a cocktail, some beers and some pizzas. A nice spot to sit and enjoy on this top floor. The atmosphere is special. You get a great alternative vibe. The food and the drinks are great.

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Porto! They have vegan and vegetarian options, the portions are good, and the prices were reasonable. The whole space has an artsy vibe, and they have posters and flyers for local artistic events. Then of course there is the lovely view and the kind staff.

It's a good place to have fun with a group of friends occasionally. The "DJs" and playlist need updating. Same tunes in the same order pretty much every time you visit. It's boring. Surprise us or take requests from paying customers more seriously. So much potential...

We had a great time at Tendinha dos Clérigos! The drinks were solid, the music kept the energy up, and the place was absolutely packed. Unlike some other reviews, we didn’t experience any issues with paper cards, minimum spending, or difficulty leaving—we just danced, enjoyed the atmosphere, and headed out around 2 AM (which is still considered an early night in Portugal). The crowd is mostly tourists and younger partygoers, so not exactly my scene, but if you’re in the mood to dance and don’t have another spot in mind, it’s a fun option. Would I go back? Maybe—if I was really craving a dance night with a lively vibe.

This place is a scam. Please be careful. They will give you random paper ticket and if you don't have it on your way out they will try to force you to pay EUR100 or refuse to let you leave. Not only a scam, but also illegal behaviour!

This is the worst place I have ever been. Do not give them any money. They handed us cards as we entered which they did not explain and then they wouldn't let us leave until we paid to leave. They trapped me (female) and my friend (also female) in and threatened our other friends outside with violence. When I finally did pay to leave with my friend the bouncer pushed me out the door. Shut this place down!!

We loved this wine, and visited twice in our six days in Porto. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable about their wine. And the food, which we enjoyed on our second visit, was delicious too. It's quite small inside, so book if you want to sit in there, but there are more tables outside. We enjoyed sitting inside in the chapel. Great place. Highly recommended.

We loved it. We went there based on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. The place is so nicely decorated. It’s a calm quaint atmosphere. Carla is knowledgeable in wines. She helped us to choose an excellent Espumante for our dinner and we discussed with her other wines. The food, which is to share , is really good. A very unique bar in a former chapel. I went there and had a great portwine tasting, with a lot of information about portowine and explaining for every wine I tasted. The pairing with the Serra cheese was a great recommendation. I enjoyed my evening and I will come back when I visit porto again

Cute little gem a bit off the beaten track of Porto’s old town. Very original setting, great to grab a drink and some tapas (specialized in wines but also the port tonic is highly recommended!). Service is a bit slow and port negroni was a bit disappointing.

A wine restaurant like no other. At the end of a sloping street in Porto—one that doesn’t try to impress you—there it stands: an old church with a yellow plastered facade and a cross on its roof. What a magical place to taste the best port wines in Porto and try out some incredible starters dishes… especially: Codfish croquettes Fig jam, cheese and a bread - bang on!!! Cannot wait to visit again. Usually, it is booked or atleast busy so consider some time but absolutely worth it! If possible, sit inside ;) for a stunning interior

I think it's the only club in Porto capable of hosting some of the greatest bands. However, it has audio feedback trouble almost every time a louder band plays, preventing the band from hearing the audience. And both concert spaces have ventilation troubles which they could not fix for years and years. It's always very hot and stuffy inside. Hard Club could do better.

Many really good concerts at this venue. But some things needs improvement, e.g. ventilation is poor. And people keep smoking... In 2025 some awkward (idiotic) changes happend like cashless with bracelets. Not enough standing in the queues?! It's not festival guys!

Great venue but the cashless bracelet system is one of the stupidest ideas of all time. Everyone, including the band, was complaining about it.

Very touristy place great views of the exchange palace and the square and the river in front. On certain days there are also clothing and jewlery stores inside with very cute and affordable stuff.

The house with the best selection of live music all over the year in the City. It has two rooms where you can enjoy life music during the year. Best spot for music lovers to see they favorite music bands. Good location and a beautiful space.

As opposed to the commercial that invited everyone to the event, the doorman's consistent dismissive attitude created an unwelcoming atmosphere, detracting from the inclusive and inviting experience.

They give you a little paper card. When you drink they check a little box, you don't pay immeditatedly. You lose your card... or get it stolen? Well you gotta pay 100 euros. Oops. No respect for these kind of businesses.

There is no food here 😢. The staff is mostly enjoying there colleagues, it would be nice if they sometimes checked up on you or asked if they could bring you a drink instead of you having to get it every time. The mood here is really lovely. There is sometimes a dj playing music. If there isn't one there is nice music playing. On the grass are small tables to sit at with pillows. Nice place to sit when it's sunny.

Loved the atmosphere! Lounging on the grass under the trees was nice, lighted and heated umbrellas over the seating was perfect once sun went down. Only drinks, which was expected, and no table service, also fine, but for the prices I would have appreciated friendlier service. There was a DJ keeping things lively. Not overly loud, still able to have conversations at the tables and plenty of quieter areas if desired.

Great views and easy to find, the lift is in the shopping centre near burger King and you get it to floor 14. Just didn't have any beer on tap when we went. Lovely views and plenty of seating. We visited at lunch time.

Staff is friendly, gins are good, a bit too much ice cubes, but ok. Prices are high. Variety of Gins is not good. There are more than 5000 Gins available worldwide but the GinHouse only offers some 25ish. Not even Portuguese gins were on the menue. I would have expected more variety of a place called GinHouse.

We were there tonight to have some drinks but after we had a seat it took 30 minutes until the waiter came and took our order. After another 30 minutes our drinks arrived. Spending in total 1 hour just for waiting is not OK and shows the incompetence of the service team. No recommendation.

I love gin! My husband found this place while we were in Porto. We did get there rather early (they may have just opened for the evening). The bartender was very knowledgeable about types of gin and recommended his favorite. The place was super cute and vibe was very relaxing. Great place to have a pre-dinner cocktail and probably a better place to have after dinner drinks. Highly recommend this place and will go back when we return to Porto.

If you love gin, you have to go to this bar. The gin theme is lived and loved here. Unusual variations of gin are standard here. Countless flavours play with your palate and show you the diversity of gin. If you come to Porto, you have to go here.

Visited on some occasions and had a nice time. But, for some reason recently visited on a Saturday as usual with a black friend and the security at the entrance will not let us in, saying we not a usual customer, even though I visit the Gin House. In addition , the security will blatantly tell us they won’t have a discussion with us because they believe we will say they are racist. Well you just acted racist and saying it indirectly. The pictures are the once I took the last time I was there on the 25th June 2022. Update 2024 Visited again more than once and this time the service was excellent and the experience was great.

Excellent Gin varieties!!! In addition nice location and very competent bar tenders ( like Jolanda ) who took a lot of time to explain to us different herbes and qualities or gins. We will come back!!!

Nice style. Nice jazzy music. It was pretty empty when we arrived. Took tapas for two but one tapas for two ppl is enough. We prefer the antopastis tapas over the cheese one. Maybe not enough bread but good one. The meat was good and the drinks as well.

Great! We were there for 3 evenings in a row and the service was every time attentive and sympathic. The location is a little loud due to the traffic, however if you like to observe and watch others and enjoy drinks - best place.

It’s a very nice place, but sometimes it is just getting way to full, on the way to the toilet you feel like you are getting squeezed between all the people, it’s just to full. Also the music often sounds all the same, in my opinion the mix is missing, for example some techno, or 80‘s/90‘s music also for people which are international. Not only the funk music etc….. Beside that is that a very good club where I enjoy the stay, sometimes you have to close your eye to pay the beverages but that’s worth it…

Consider all the bad reviews and do yourself a favour and don’t go to this place! The security guys (bald guy) was rude and spoke to me disrespectfully. He said my sarja shorts were too short and that they looked like boxers. He said that laughing like he was trying to make a joke and humiliate me. I told him the dress code didn’t say I wasn’t supposed to wear shorts and he said if he doesn’t like what people are wearing they don’t enter the party. Behind me was a guy wearing shorts and the same security guy had no problem with him wearing them and joining the party. This was extremely uncomfortable, disrespectful and I dare to say a form of discrimination.

consider the bad reviews. security guard was very unfriendly and the whole atmosphere was off. the only nice, helpful and "normal" staff member was the young male bartender. other than that very odd nightclub, especially if you're not a local, they just treat you like you're below them.

The night began with an absolutely outrageous delay. The ticket said the event would start at 11:30 p.m., but the gates only opened at 12:35 a.m., meaning more than an hour late. And the worst was yet to come. The security staff showed a completely prejudiced and xenophobic attitude. There was no sign of any dress code, and two of my friends, we were six in total, who live in England, were denied entry and absurdly mistaken for Algerian or Moroccan men. It was humiliating and infuriating. We came from England just to spend the weekend, dressed in style, and were met with pure prejudice. The most ironic part is that one of the guards had the audacity to say that my friend’s Louis Vuitton LV Trainer Maxi Pharrell Black sneakers and his trousers were “not appropriate” for the venue. At first, my friend and I, both Brazilian, were speaking in English among ourselves since most of the group doesn’t speak Portuguese. The guard responded harshly that he didn’t speak English. So we switched to Portuguese and asked why entry was being denied, and that’s when we heard him say, thinking we wouldn’t understand, that my friend “looked like a clown.” Moments later he tried to cover it up, saying my friend “should change clothes.” But the disrespect didn’t stop there. We had bought our tickets in advance, and even though we were denied entry, no refund was offered. Sure, it was only 10 euros each, a total of 60 euros, but the issue is not the money. It’s the lack of respect, the prejudice, and the total absence of professionalism from two guards who could barely speak Portuguese or any language properly. It was, without a doubt, a disgraceful experience marked by prejudice, disorganization, and zero empathy.

Worst club experience in my life. I had bought a ticket online for 15€, and when I got there with a big group of friends, we were told that we needed to pay an extra 30€ in drinks, compulsory to exit the club at the end of the night. Given that nobody was there and that we complained, they asked us to pay less money but without receipt. We refused, as this should not be the way to do things. Also, bodyguards and receptionists were terribly rude (we overheard them telling to each other in Portuguese that they were going to make us pay 30€ anyways at exit). Bad bad experience, keep away from this club.

Absolutely the Worst Club Experience of My Life I bought a ticket for 11 euros, thinking it would cover entry to the club. When I got there, they told me I had to pay an additional 30 euros just to get in — apparently because the ticket I bought “only paid for the artists.” Are you kidding me? Nowhere on the ticket was this absurd “drink charge” mentioned. They basically forced everyone to pay 30 euros at the door, claiming it was a mandatory drink fee — a complete scam and false advertising. This place is shady, unprofessional, and a total rip-off. If I wanted to throw 40 euros away, I’d at least expect honesty and transparency. Avoid this place at all costs. There are better clubs, better music, and definitely better people out there who won’t treat their guests like fools

The venue is awesome, however the staff was not serious(scammers), we bought a ticket for a special event, when we arrived they charged us another amount of money, claiming the tickets was just for the event that we have to pay for the entry, makes no sense at all, the security look at you like you're a criminal a bit rude, and after we enter they told us that is mandatory to keep our shoulders bag on the cloakroom, I refused it cah literally nobody did it and it's against the law, the crowd was literally, apart from me and my cousins who went for the show, people smuggling drugs and the security acts like nothing is happening, cah those guys were on VIP, the music horrible, except the main Dj that went to perform as invited, the bartenders so rude and amateurs, I asked for the price of a coca cola she said 5€ and the boy looked at him, I asked for a bottle of water the gyal replied quickly 5€ and the boy said "no" it's 4€, no menu to see which drink they serve and I was asking the variety of drinks they have the gyal went mad, serving us the drink like we're beggars when in matter fact we were paying for those pricey drinks, I don't recommend to anyone who wants to have a great night, since the entry they give you a bad vibe make you entry with the willing of leave...

This was my first stop arriving to Porto. Very great views, English speaking staff and amazing Portuguese Wine and eats. I definitely recommend it. Be advised they dont take credit card. Only cash or the equivalent of venmo type app im Europe. Worth your time and visit.

Awesome river view spot in Porto! Perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and some amazing appetizers. They had a great selection — dry-aged cheese, ham, shrimp — everything was fresh and delicious. Our server was absolutely A+++ — friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Ode Porto is an absolute treat. We were here at the end of May and the experience was unforgettable. You step in from the hustle and bustle of the streets and immediately everything slows down. The staff was fantastic from beginning to end and the owner makes you feel like a guest in his house. The love and care for what they do here is apparent. Each dish was fantastic and wine offerings were just as good. I wish we could have tried it all. A standout dish for me was the Cabidela Rice. A dish that seems rustic but was so complex in flavors. Highly recommended this gem when you are in Porto.

I cannot express how special my time was at ODE. First of all, I had single handedly the best food I have had in Portugal. We had the tripes as an appetizer which was so good that my finance and I thought about just ordering more orders of that as our entire meal. But then the main courses came out which absolutely stunned. I had the octopus rice which was perfectly seasoned and not at all too heavy. My partner got the Iberian pork ribs which literally fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. Dessert was the owners own mothers pudding which had us savoring every bite. We were introduced to our new favorite champagne - the entirety was more than we could have hoped for. The history behind this place is moving and the devotion to family, tradition, culture, quality, and food was very touching. The owner wrote us a handwritten congratulations on our engagement on a hand painted parting gift. What an experience- I hope each and every person at ODE knows that they have given us a once in a lifetime production!

Such an incredible restaurant! My partner and I went twice and had an amazing experience both times. The food is delicious (and good value considering the quality) and artistic, and the service was incredible. Wow! We celebrated our anniversary here in October 2025, based on a recommendation from a friend. Cute and great food, wine and port. My dish was outstanding. My wife liked but did not love her dish. The owner visits every table to ask how things are going. When he heard she liked but did not love her dish, we were totally surprised and charmed when he volunteered to replace it. Her replacement was one of her favorite dinners in a 3 week journey throughout Portugal. I had a great colheita from 1982 (our anniversary year)....expensive but the best ever. One minor vignette....we were seated downstairs near some doors/windows...very cute. Some guests stepped out for a smoke, and smoke wafted in. Yuck. We mentioned to owner, and he skillfully and diplomatically asked the others to step away. They had no idea their smoke was wafting in, and they quickly and apologetically moved further away. Problem solved. Kudos to owner for handling.

My husband and I visited Bar Aduela during the day, and it was lovely. The service was friendly and efficient. Please note: there is no table service, so you need to go to the bar to order. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to eat the food on offer, but it looked fantastic.

Really fun place for drinks. There is no table service so you have to order from the bar. The drinks are made quickly so the line moves pretty quick. There is a large outdoor sitting area but it fills up pretty quick. I would suggest getting here before 7:00pm. Try the Little Faca Gin its really good.

This was our favorite spot in Porto to come for a drink. We came back just about every day. Prices are extremely cheap and the service was top-notch. If you're lucky enough to grab a patio table it's easy to accidentally sit here for hours. Great mix of locals and tourists adds to the atmosphere.

Hustling and bustling place with a great vibe and super affordable price for alcohol. We had 5 drinks - 4 were cocktails and spent 28€ . We had the sweet almond liquor drink it was quite diff and nice. Definitely recommended and it was a local’s favourite .

We went to watch the Portugal v Croatia football ball and we got there early thinking it being a pub it would get crowded with energetic fans of the club. Not the case. This is the game where Ronaldo scored his 900th goal and I was the only one cheering when it happened. The service wasn’t great, we had to go to the bar a few times to order drinks and or food and was told we had to wait on our server at the table. After sitting a few more minutes the bartender eventually came over after seeing were weren’t being waited on and our first rounds were empty. We ordered food and it was average pub fare. We tried the Francesca here and the meat was tough. Certainly not the best we had tried and closer to the bottom. It is a classic Irish pub though, we always visit them in other countries and their food is closer to American food so we can eat some comfort food. They did have plenty of TV’s and I guess our expectations were high for the Portugal match. Maybe in Lisbon it would’ve been more fun.

A regular, touristic sort of pub, but it was the only place open late where you can get a decent cocktail and relax. Service was great, and our server knew her stuff. She even asked how I wanted my Sazerac. Signature cocktails are pretty midrange, but it's a pub after all and considering the night we had, it was nice to just sit and enjoy a drink where they actually tried to make it enjoyable. Classics were done very well by the bartender. Good selection of spirits. Decor creates a cool vintage atmosphere. Prices are a bit on the higher side but that's just the central, popular area.

Didn’t get to interact with bar staff much as it was slow and they were all chatting with each other, but the service was good. Update, never mind, service here is awful. The first time we came they ignored us and interacted with each other. Cam back on Sunday night, they said tables in back but were full. 4 open booths, said they’re reserved which was bs, you have to have 4+ people. We were told no where to sit but others got the booths. Crap service at bar. Cool atmosphere, terrible service. Just avoid.

The atmosphere was great and the service was very good. The air conditioning on the top floor felt incredible in the middle of summer. I got the Bonaparte and my husband got a beer. We also got the Potatoes Bravas (very average, could use more sauce). Overall great experience! Would definitely recommend the Bonaparte!

Nice bar with a great atmosphere (reminded me a little bit of McLarens from How I Met Your Mother). The service was great - really kind and communicative. They offer a really wide variety of drinks, from typical beers in Portugal to self-designed cocktails. My recommendation: The Shurastey!

Such a cool moody vibe this bar has! Awesome music and very good atmosphere! The service was extremely nice! The food was okay, but the best part were the Potato Brava (you must try them)! Everything was super nice! Highly recommended!

We visited this bar based on online recommendations. The interior is cozy and stylish, with plenty of seating space. It’s a great place to come and hang out with friends. The cocktail prices seemed a bit high to me – the cheapest one was €12.50, and for four cocktails we paid €50. The drinks themselves were tasty, but I wouldn’t say they were anything extraordinary; there was no real wow factor apart from the presentation, which was excellent. They looked fantastic. I’m not a bartender, but in some cocktails there seemed to be way too much ice – only about 30% of the glass was actual drink. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be, but it felt a little unbalanced. On the positive side, the menu is very creative and fun to read. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, so I’d still recommend checking out this charming bar.

Best cocktail bar we found in Porto! The large and diverse menu made it hard to pick which drinks to get, but the ones we tried definitely did not disappoint! Overall incredibly well crafted and well presented cocktails in a stylish yet cozy atmosphere.

This place ended up being a bit of a disappointment for me. The interior is absolutely beautiful — stylish and inviting — but unfortunately, the drinks didn’t quite live up to the setting. The cocktail menu felt very limited, and the ones I tried weren’t particularly impressive. For the price point, I was definitely expecting more in terms of quality. Another small detail: no water was offered alongside, and the ice cubes in some of the cocktails weren’t the clear, well-prepared kind you’d normally expect at this level. Instead, they looked like regular freezer ice, cloudy in the middle, which took away from the overall presentation. It’s a lovely-looking place, but with such high prices, I’d hoped the cocktails and service details would match the beautiful interior.

I read some of the negative reviews and I’m not sure what planet those people were living on… The cocktails were very good, I can see why they aren’t in the top 50 yet, but could be. We found them to be rather inexpensive compared to most Top 50 in the world bars. The chantico had crushed BBQ chips on the outside that really brought out the smoke of the mezcal. The Trinity and Candlelight were our favorites but all were very good. We waited for maybe 10 minutes to get in, a little touristy for sure with a lot of English and Americans downstairs. Service was great, especially considering they were packed. Definitely glad we made the trek up! The road they are on is pretty crazy on a Friday or Saturday night. But plenty of places close by to grab a cocktail while waiting for a spot

We came in tonight and were warmly welcomed by Pedro and Santiago. This entire bar is absolutely beautiful 😍. The bf and I both had an espresso martini and let me tell you they were DELICIOUS. We know hospitality is critical to us and the service, bar and cocktails rivaled some of the best we have visited, globally. Keep up the amazing work and we cannot wait to come back.

Wonderful staff, and great cocktails. Fernando actually won the best bartender in PT competition. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If we had more time, definitely would’ve gone back a few more times. Highly recommended.

Always great food! The burrata toast with peaches are already a classic! The chef changes the menu constantly so it’s always an amazing surprise. The wine selection is amazing with a good pet nat and classic cocktails always good.

First visit here was so lovely, however, the second visit was ruined by an extremely obnoxious member of the bar staff, specifically a bald man with a big beard. We received a very rude and sarcastic response when simply asking where the bathrooms were. He’s majorly letting down the rest of the employees, such a shame.

Had two experiences here. The first was nice. Myself and my partner had a pleasant chat with a member of bar staff who served us. The drinks seemed fair in price and the wine was nice. He made sure we found what we liked from giving us tastings of a few different wines. Our second time here we were served by an older member of staff, bald with long beard and leopard print shirt. We ordered our drinks and asked him where the toilets were, he responded rudely to this question. So much so we thought he was joking at first but he doubled down and made us feel stupid for not knowing where the bars bathroom was situated. Uncalled for customer service. This individual dragged down our opinion of the bar and we did not enjoy our second visit, therefore, we won’t be back.

I really love Candelabro! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is kind, and the prices are very reasonable. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink!

I was listening to the Placebo Placebo album a couple of months after visiting this bar and suddenly fellt the need to write a review of this place...namely because this bar (like the Placebo album) is so atmospheric. Beautiful, individual bar staff, great music that sits in the background but grabs your attention. And watch the old black and white films while ordering a drink. If you're really lucky you'll catch the barman occasionally singing along to the tracks! A great place. Enjoy!

Best bar in Porto where the staff is mostly kind and very thoughtful!! Specially the girls! Great atmosphere among them and they keep the place cheerful and everyone laughing and having a good time! Also they have better taste in music then the cardigan wearing snobs that work there!

Very sympatic service, and perfect cold draft and great gin tonic

Really nice little sports bar that we got to watch the Olympics at. Food was decent enough and the drinks were good. Service was similar to most busy sports bars but the reason you come here is the atmosphere. The nachos were different from what you would normally think of as a Canadian, but we were not mad about it.

Best place in Porto to watch football or any other sports events! The atmosphere is amazing, with lots of different beers on tap (big Super Bock for just €4). For a sports bar, the food is surprisingly good – burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken wings… all delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Just a heads-up: it’s cash only, so make sure to bring some euros with you. Highly recommended for any sports fan!

What an great bar. Amazing beer selection, great atmosphere and the service is top notch. We were served by a guy called vasku( probably spelt wrong) at our table, he was like speedy Gonzales, he was everywhere, serving and helping everyone with a friendly smile and friendly demeanor. We went in to watch the Porto game with our two young children, and from the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. The atmosphere was amazing — lively, friendly, and full of great energy, yet still really comfortable for families. The staff were just incredible. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. A special thank you to the lovely team on the second floor, and to a couple of the lads downstairs who were just as fantastic — you all made our evening so special. The food was tasty and really well priced, and the whole experience just felt easy and enjoyable. Eleven is one of those places that instantly makes you feel at home. We left with big smiles and can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Porto. Thank you again for such a wonderful night! Please pass on my thanks to staff. Never tipped as much as I have being so young. But this place 10000% deserved it, best bar staff I have ever come across!

Adega Sport is definitely an incontournable place in the city. the only real sports bar around, and I actually like the atmosphere a lot. But there’s always confusion when it comes time to pay. If you wait until the end, you can be almost sure there will be an extra glass or something added. Because of that, I started paying after each order — and even then, yesterday I was charged €0.50 more (3€ instead of 2.5€). When I mentioned it, the waiter insisted with confidence that the amount was correct. If this happened once, I’d call it a mistake. But honestly, it happens every time. You always have to double-check the bill. I know other people who’ve had the same experience, which is a shame for such a nice place.

Boring atmosphere, boring DJ and almost nothing to enjoy. Everyone smokes in the main hall and even my hair smells bad after one hour. The entrance fee is 10€ for two free drinks. I don’t recommend this club at all

1 is the lowest but would give -3. No international credit card, 10 bucks a whisky in a filthy plastic cup but beer is in a glass. Doesn't make sense. Welcome to Portugal and Good luck as they say. * edit* remember the International card? So they debit the amount even the machine saying they are unable to. I have shown the transaction in my bank statement however the staff still denied that, refuse to give me a copy of the transaction, and if I insist more probably would get kicked out. So the staff written the only contact that company had, a Gmail. And guess what. Nobody answers. You guys know what kind of place do it and I don't need to say how it is going to end.

One of the best clubs in Porto. The sound system (Funktion-One) is amazing and they invite great DJs during the season. Highly recommended if you are an electronic music enthusiast.

Boring. Not stylish. When I was there it was 80% male. Administration could provide any discount for female to establishe the gender balance... smoking allowed in the club, whitch is not big, so it gets difficult to breathe as soon as guys arrive. No place to seat. 15 eur enterance and 1.5 for leaving the jacket is definately overprice. Does not make any sense to visit the place in the winter time.

Out of the city centre underground club close to the beach where you can enjoy a good night with great techno or electronic DJ’s. If you go by Uber/Taxi they offer you drinks depending on how much you’ve spent on the ride. A must visit for techno/electronic music lovers.

Great space to spend all night dacing. I was really impressed with the sound quality, crisp and clear. The staff was really nice aswel.

This place is simply M I S E R A B L E! Miserable people inside, miserable drinks, miserable advertising and offers! They simply lie on their social media accounts! It’s a pure robbery, I don’t know how the financial police haven’t visited them already. They advertise happy hour drinks which they pay you at the exit! Simply unbelievable! Be careful!!! Like many others, they scammed my friend and I with their odd (and successful) payment system. They had us pay for nothing at the exit although we paid the minimum of 12 euros each. According to our calculation, a water bottle we bought inside added up to 8 euros at the exit. The "best" part was the guy with glasses that charged us. He cursed at us for wanting an explaination for the prices, then followed us to the exit after paying him the amount he wanted, and harassed us while calling us the F word. Very rude staff, would totally skip.

Beware, it’s like a mafia. They give you a card that they mark your drinks on with no explanation. If you don’t order anything, they will still threaten you for not ordering anything (don’t lose the piece of paper!). To resume: different system that is not explained. Not safe. At your own risk, can be fun.

Drags queen don’t move at all, a completely waste, they are on stage doing nothing. There are no DJs, it’s a random setlist from Spotify/Youtube. Overpriced.

Although the atmosphere itself is pretty okay, I don't recommend this club because of our experience. When you enter, you get a card on which they record the entry and drinks bill, which you pay at the end. We were in the club for less than 2 hours and knew we wouldn't spend anything extra - just for entry and a welcome drink. So my friend left this card in her jacket pocket in the cloakroom (so she wouldn't lose it). Someone stole it from her in the cloakroom, and when we were about to leave, they wouldn't let her out until she paid 100 euros for the 'lost' card. But they let me out because I had the card and I paid the entrance fee. So I waited outside the club alone for over an hour to convince the security to let her out. Finally, they said she had to stay in the club until 6 am and pay 'only' 25 euros. Which is strange, isn't it? In the end, we waited 'only' until 5 am, paid 25 euros for NOTHING, and they let her out. Even though they could have checked everything on the cameras (which they did), they said there was nothing there and didn't believe us. It was a really unpleasant experience. And if they want to improve the club, they should change this payment system; it's a scam they are making money from.

It was one of the worst nightclubs that I've been. I can enjoy an underground scene, but that place is sketchy. Staff are not friendly. The atmosphere is heavy and not pleasant, which justifies the number of people doing drugs to have fun. There's some dragqueens on the stage, which don't engage with the public, neither dance well and share joy, so I don't understand what they were doing there. The bartenders don't have standards for the drinks. My friend and I ordered the same drink, and each one got a different size of glasses. The quality of the drinks were also bad, i had just 2 so I didn't have to pay for the covert. The place was overcrowded, and there's just one washroom to use, and the line was quite big. Plus, the way they track the consumption is also very sketchy. They give you a piece of paper that you have to keep with you, and the bartender will write down your drinks, if you lose or damage the paper, you have to pay $100. I wouldn't recommend that place if you want to have a great time.

Wow, the reviews definitely add up. I witnessed the door security beating a guy on the ground outside on Friday April 14th. While beating him he was laughing in a way as though he was enjoying it. The guy on the ground appeared helpless all the while the security guy was punching his face. There is a confusing docket system where you pay your bill on the way out, but they make up a number that exceeds your expenditure and refuse your exit until you pay. Very violent and corrupt establishment, avoid at all cost. All the while every other social venue we attended in Porto were amazing with very friendly staff.

It was way beyond our expectations! Vinum at Graham's is simply amazing. The whole package delivers an amazing experience. The view is breathtaking! The atmosphere, decorations and comfort of the restaurant make the experience even better. Food is perfect, pairing with great local wines. Service: Staff is flawless! From the host to the manager to our amazing waitress Mara all of them have made us feel very special. I strongly recommend Vinum once you're in Gaia.

My wife and I enjoyed a very memorable lunch at Vinum earlier this month. We were immediately impressed with the elegant dining room that provided beautiful views of the Douro river and Porto beyond. We selected the "Traditional" menu with the matching wines option, and we were not disappointed. Each dish was beautifully prepared, presented, and matched with a wine that complimented the food perfectly. Service was friendly, polite, and professional. Our visit to Vinum was a highlight of our trip to Portugal and we'd love to return if we have the opportunity.

After visiting Graham's cellars, we had dinner at their onsite restaurant Vinum. We got a nice table on the terrace overlooking Porto bay. We shared a beef carpaccio ("coca" de rosbife) and had the Duck magret with brioche and foie gras. To finish we had a selection of cheese with 2 glasses of Six Grapes port. The food was very well presented and delicious. Service was very professional. An overall excellent experience!

My husband and I ate at Vinum to celebrate our wedding anniversary during our stay in Porto, and it was incredible from start to finish. There is ample space at and between all tables and the view over the river is sensational. The service was fabulous (I'm running out of positive adjectives now) and the food was to die for. Everything about the meal will stay in our memories. Thank you for looking after us and making it so special.

Let me start like this. Considering the price (around 75 euros per person) it will not live to your expectations. Other than that, presentation of the food is gorgeous, view is breathtaking and service is done in a way that people is there to agree with you (not exactly good this last one)... However, at this price tag, specially in Portugal, I expect I much more refined taste, service and experience. Bolinhos, olive oil and bread were great but mains were just non memorable. Pudim dessert was also a great finish to share (dont do it by yourself, sugar high). Good to bring someone there for a view-like experience.

We chose to focus on seafood, and it was nothing short of impressive — fresh, creative, and full of personality. The wine list is… adequate. But to be fair, we are Italian, and we’ve been spoiled by our wine culture. Portugal, you’re well on your way — keep going! Overall, a truly exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended.

We had an incredible experience from reservation, to check in to service to the meal! We had a beautiful private table. The attention to detail and service, presentation was spectacular. Highly recommend if you also want to experience the wine tour which we did as well. If you don’t have a lot of time in Porto, I would book the Vin restaurant and the wine tour. The walk to the venue wasn’t that bad! We enjoyed the quiet hilly streets. The walk back helped digest our fulfilling meal and wine tour. Highly recommend for an all in one experience. The view from the top was simply beautiful.

Great atmosphere from the second you walk through the door - also experienced what must have been the speediest service ever offered to me, drinks orders were taken and brought to our table almost instantly. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time and the live music was a lovely addition. The only thing that was not as amazing unfortunately was the food - as we're both vegan we ordered all vegan items on the menu. Bread starter was probably the best, all tapas were sadly just very oily and salty... We still had a good time overall, just wouldn't get food next time probably.

The atmosphere was 10/10, with fabulous live music and cozy setting. Staff were just so lovely and friendly. Unfortunately due to some issue, we couldn’t avail of all menu options on the particular night, so maybe we missed out on some great food. What were had was a little bland but still tasty. Staff were good at advising on portion sizes etc.

Really great place. Superb atmosphere. Best to make a reservation in advance as its quite popular. Very good prompt and efficient service. The live singer was really good and had a feel for the crowd and chose appropriate songs. He played the guitar really well and made our visit here very enjoyable. Outstanding food. The portions are on the smaller side but very well presented and full marks for taste.The recommended duck meat dish was outstanding. Would love to visit again.

We visited Rua on our first night in Porto and had a lovely Portuguese tapas meal. The dishes were tasty - I recommend the pork cheek (pictured), shrimp croquettes, and the pimentos padrón, and the sauteed goat's cheese with raspberry sorbet for dessert. The aperol spritz with port wine was also incredible. The website said it was fully booked but we went at 7:20pm and got a seat straight away (the restaurant opened at 7pm) but within 15 minutes of sitting down, it was full and people were being turned away, so I definitely recommend going early or booking the day before. The atmosphere was definitely the highlight of the evening and live music started at about 8:30pm. We would love to go back if we're back in Porto again!

Nice small tapas restaurant. The food was good however some dishes could have been less salty. If you don’t want to wait, be sure to book in advance especially on the weekends! (When we arrived after 9pm, we had to wait for more than 30mins)

Very cool rooftop hangout spot, the wines are amazing and the cocktails are very good too, the view is one of the best in Porto and the music is very tasteful. The food is not the best but it’s not horrible, just average, could be much better. The staff is good due to the layout of the place, some tables are kind of hidden and get forgotten.

Nice cocktail bar on the roof. Quite small and filled up quickly late afternoon. Good range of cocktails with many using Port which was good. Good vantage point when you were standing up. However, when seated you couldn’t see anything! Didn’t have food so can’t comment. My cocktail was very good but it had a lot of ice which means when it melts it quickly becomes watery and tasteless.

We went there twice and both times had a great time, the staff was friendly and the cocktails were fantastic. We didn't order food so just enjoyed the magnificent views of the river. The music was too loud, though.

Our experience at Espaço Porto Cruz was absolutely out of this world — truly one of the big, unexpected highlights of our trip to Porto! We originally came for a Porto wine tasting, but what we got was so much more. Our sommelier, Vasco Garcia, was exceptional — knowledgeable, passionate and incredibly down to earth. He stayed with us far longer than required, guided us through a journey of wine that went well beyond what we had booked and made us feel genuinely welcome the entire time. We started with tastings of white, rosé, and red wines from the Douro region, followed by a deep dive into Porto wines — officially five, but in reality more like nine (but, who's counting when it's this good, right?). Vasco Garcia gave us what felt like a mini masterclass in Porto wine — covering fermentation, blending techniques, aging processes and so much more... — all paired perfectly with food. It was educational, delicious and unforgettable. One of the main reasons we chose Espaço Porto Cruz was their child tasting option — such a thoughtful and rare offering. For just €8, our son enjoyed a tasting of three chocolates and three juices while we had our wine experience, which made the whole visit much more enjoyable for all of us. And just as a side note: this was not my first (nor will it be my last) wine tasting. I’ve talked to many sommeliers in the past, and I’m not easily impressed. But Vasco G. knows and loves his wines — and you can feel it throughout the experience. So here’s my honest advice: don’t be shy, ask for Vasco Garcia and treat yourself to one of their premium tastings. You will not regret it. We came to keep our son entertained while we sipped wine — we’re leaving with a deep appreciation for Porto wines and are already planning our next wine tasting with Vasco G. Unbelievable in the best way. Thank you once again, Vasco G. and keep up the love and passion you put in your work!

Spent a couple of hours on the rooftop bar, which has a great vibe and amazing views. Also did a port tasting on the terrace, the service was great and the port and chocolate flight was excellent!

A small, family-run restaurant located just steps from the cathedral. This establishment is recognized as being of historical and cultural interest of Fado culture.  The special feature is that local Fado artists perform throughout the evening, making the evening and the setting truly unique. The concert (three artists took turns singing various traditional songs) is included, but there's a minimum spend of €45 each, which is absolutely in line with local restaurants. Excellent food and a good selection of wines, including Porto ones.

We had an absolutely lovely night at Casa de Mariquinhas - the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was great, and the entertainment top notch. We felt very well taken care of, and absolutely felt we got our money’s worth. We had the chorizo to start, which came with its own little show. The pork main was tender and well-balanced, and the pear was a wonderful dessert. The highlight were the three Fado singers as well as the two musicians, all brilliant in their own right. All in all a wonderful experience. I’d go again anytime!

Truly superb small, etno restaurant. Spending there the whole evening with a tasty local food and fantastic fado performance was a one of a kind experience. Location is smaller (max 30 guests) however this adds to fantastic atmosphere. This is why reservation is required. And be carefull to be punctual, otherwise you will be criticized for being late 😀 Highly recommend and compliments to chef, staff, fado singers and musicians.

Cannot recommend highly enough. An absolutely fabulous evening of music and food. The minimum spend of 45€ per person is totally worth it (yes, the bread and olives aren't free). Professional but warm service and waiting, the two waiting people we met did just an amazing job. The Fado performance is worth it and it will be one of the best memories I'm taking home from Portugal. I also had the opportunity to briefly converse with one of the Fado artists and it was a really great experience. A cafe having a great history in the city which served the college students during the old times is a symbol of democracy in the city. Although I did not eat here, the history of this place should be known to the people who visit the city.

Excellent portuguese food and drink at very reasonable prices, just in front of Oporto University. Local friends recommended this to us and they were right: a place popular with locals. Try the francesinha (unless you are VERY hungry, one of them feeds two) and other popular dishes on the menu. Excellent house wine.

The best restaurant in Porto! Firstly looks like a basic pub, but the service is so nice, prices low and the quality and portions of food are amazing! Even alcohol is not expensive, can't miss their Pastel de nata shot.

It's a really good place to take a break and recharge with a coffee. We loved the views around as we sat on the patio in the front. We had a server come up and bring us our order. We didn't try the food so we can't comment on that, but other reviewers seemed to have really enjoyed their dishes.

This place has an incredible view. On the first floor, there's an enclosed area with large windows opening up to an ocean view, and on the second floor, there's a small balcony where you can enjoy the scenery. The girls selling desserts are very pleasant, engaging, and ready to recommend. The service is also quite attentive. However, unexpectedly, we didn't like any of the desserts or coffee. We ordered cappuccino, lemon tart, and meringue. The cappuccino was unimpressive, and my friend said she didn’t like it at all. The tart was overly sweet. Typically, lemon is added to balance the sweetness, but this tart lacked lemon. The jam was too sweet, and the lemon flavor was almost nonexistent. The dessert was difficult to eat because it was too sugary. The meringue was simply dry like a cracker, making it unpleasant to eat. I would say it’s worth visiting for the view, but not for the desserts. The desserts, which should be the establishment’s specialty, turned out to be completely disappointing. So decide for yourself whether to visit or not.

Most importantly: Here you can have a cup of coffee with a lovely view of the ocean. Everything else is a bonus. The coffee is reasonable, the cakes are okay, I recommend the English cake; a variety of breakfast options. The bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible (in the basement, lots of stairs), and even older people may have difficulty getting down. The service is friendly.

Tavi in Foz is our house café. We absolutely love this place, with staff who remember how you take your coffee, good manu with traditional and also innovative dishes. It's a place for a light meal, with excellent view of the ocean. They serve also healthy dishes, vegetarian and vegan. With vegan they can improve a bit with protein (like tofu in the salad or cheakpeas), but all in all, they have consistently good light food, and always with a smile. Don't miss the English cake. It's super moist and with good spices.

We stumbled across this place while in Foz and loved it. The Portuguese tarts were the best we've had here ( pastry light and crisp, filling creamy), best cappuccino but a little different to what we're used to, mint infusion with real leaves was wonderful. Delightful service ( the lady in the bakery section had excellent English) and loved the sea view. Not so many people when we visited and the weather was over ast so the balcony not open but that was fi e by us.

We visited this place yesterday and had an amazing experience! Our waitress, Marriana, gave us the best service we’ve had in all of Portugal. She was approachable, always smiling, kind, and gave us genuine recommendations. We tried the passion fruit sangria, octopus, and sandwich #14 (with Brie and caramelised onions). Everything was excellent! The sangria was rich in citrus and fresh fruit, the octopus was perfectly cooked and impressively served as a whole (not just a few tentacles like in most places), and the sandwich was absolutely delicious—even though we had initially hoped to try Bifanas, but Marriana’s recommendation did not disappoint. The prices are also on point. The only small suggestion would be to serve lemon wedges with the octopus. Highly recommended!

Words can’t properly describe how much I loved sandwich no.8 . It was absolutely amazing, the pork was so tender and all the ingredients of good quality. Service was always fast and nice at the 2 locations I’ve been to ( Progresso& Tradicional). I will be coming back for sure each time I will visit Porto.

The perfect 5 star restaurant with great service, super food and grand ambiance. The authentic dishes are served alongside the contemporary food menu that has a vast choice. The drinks are served from a large selection available.

While in Portugal, trying a Bifana is a must. The Bifana here at Case Guesdes were good but not as good as the ones we had in Lisbon. This restaurant does have other Portuguese dishes on their menu besides Bifana so it is a great place to stop by and have dinner especially after a long day of walking.

Good place to try the Francesinha, ours came loaded with lots of meat, it was great value for the money, in addition to a $3 euro gigantic plate of fries. The gravy it came with was also delicious and made the dish so much better. I have to admit we were skeptical of the francesinha but glad we decided to try it here! We also ordered the octopus but could have given it a miss as it was a bit mushy and not very fresh, although it came with a large portion of spinach that was seasoned well.

The best francesinha I have ever had in my trip around Portugal. The sauce tasted handmade, the meats were so tender and juicy, everything was full of flavor. O asked for oranges juice and the oranges were freshly squeezed.

27 April 2024 We had been looking for Restaurante Poveiros based on previous reviews and wanted to have the grilled ribs as shared by previous diner Dan L. Little did we know, the restaurant had moved but the location remain unchanged in G Maps. As of April 2024 they are located across the plaza from the old location. The new address is Praça dos Poveiros No 106, Porto Restaurante Poveiros Now about the food: The ribs tasted better than the photos looked! They came with rice and fries and you have to be very hungry to finish it, and we had a half order! Check out the price on the receipt. In addition to the ribs, we also had Bacalhau a Poveiro which was a thick cut of grilled fresh cod fish with tomato sauce and came with roasted garlic potatoes. The fish was solid and tender (fresh), and the flakes were large morsels. We had two caipirinhas and a half-bottle of Vinho Verde. We were just going to order glasses of the wine but it turned out that the price of 6 Euros was for the half-bottle. No arguments! Check out the photos, go to Poveiros and ask for Carla. You’ll be stuffed and very happy!

The food was absolutely delicious, and I can honestly say this was the best meal we’ve had in Portugal since arriving a few days ago. The beef we ordered, served with Portuguese sausage, black beans, and white rice, was tender and full of flavor. We happened upon this bar by chance on our first night in Porto. We returned every night as the quality of the ports and wines combined with the knowledge of the staff was amazing. Think local Portugese gems, but also wines from Rouget, Lopez de Heredia and Jules Brochet. If you’re into wines, don’t miss this when in Porto.

What a find, especially to watch the Wales rugby match. A pretty cool place, tucked away on a side street with no windows and limited entry. Sounds dodgy, but it isn't! You also get locked in. We met loads of people in here, Welsh, Argentinian, NZ who were all so lovely and made a nice atmosphere for the game! The food was great, and really well priced. My only 4 star is upon leaving I realised I was charged twice for my Aperol. The staff were nice and service was quick. If you want a table, I'd suggest booking as we were lucky to walk (or be let in)!

Nice pub, the entrance is in a little street that is also an access to a nigth club. We arrived around 8pm and there was very few people but it got crowded in a few hours. There is the possibility to play pool but it is necessary to tell the waiter in order to get in a waiting list. Playing is free and you can play as much as you want. This might be good for when it is your turn but not very good when you have to wait a lot due to the lack of a time limit. The food is good and there is a very nice and broad selection of beers (craft beers as well). A little bit expensive but considering the area is OK. Recomended to watch a game or to hang out, not very reocmende to play pool.

They do not pour it in the glass and the bottle is, again, so badly designed and you will definitely pour it on the table before the glass....

I had a bit of a mishap last night and accidentally dropped my phone behind a piece of furniture at the bar. Even though I had to wait until closing time to try and get it back, the staff went above and beyond to help me recover it. I really appreciate their kindness and willingness to assist me. Aside from that, the place itself is great – cool atmosphere, good music, and great drinks. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and would return to! Thank you so much!!!☺️☺️

I had an extremely disturbing experience at this restaurant. I paid for a drink that was never served, and when I decided to leave peacefully, I was physically pushed at the door by a staff member. This caused me to trip and hit my head on the ground. I was left dazed and disoriented for about 30 minutes with no help or concern from the staff. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. No customer should ever feel unsafe or be treated with such disregard. I strongly urge management to review their staff conduct and prioritize customer safety. I will be reporting this incident to the appropriate consumer authorities. Until serious changes are made, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Out of al the bars I visited in Porto, this was without doubt the best one! The person working there during my visit was absolutely brilliant, had lots of knowledge and was great to talk to. Out of all the pubs I've been to around the world, this got to be one of my best experiences yet! Great selection of beers and very cozy. Even had a beer garden on the top floor but didn't visit unfortunately. I promised to revisit before my departure but didn't manage which was really sad, I will surely come back next time I'm in Porto. If you happen to be in the city, I hardly recommend a visit here if you are into craft beers, great atmosphere and friendly staff!

I've visited catraio several times as it is located on my neighborhood and I was always met with people that wanted to make my visit the best experience possible either by suggesting the beer I should try or by having diverse food popups. Sometimes they also host meetups and it's always very fun to meet new people on their beer garden. They also have a inside room if you are feeling cold.

A great spot in Porto! Has a beautiful grape vine covered roof terrace. Drinks were delicious and had the chicken wings which were great.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I stopped by on Friday, there was a DJ at the counter, the atmosphere was lively. Then I decided to come the next day, Saturday, there was no DJ and everything was kind of boring. Otherwise, the rooftop garden and beer are great, and that's why this place gets the maximum from me.

It was a very nice experience. All the performers were talented, and I especially liked the man playing the Portuguese guitar, it was clear he was skilled. It was a bit warm inside; they should increase the number of fans. The wine service was a nice touch, but a slightly larger serving would be even better. Overall, it was good. Entrance is €20, online ticket is €19.

This was my first experience of Fado and what a wow it was. The Ideal Club is a small intimate room that could probably only seat 40 maximum. The entertainment is explained to you and they request total silence whilst the musicians and singers perform. This is all done in dimmed lighting making it very atmospheric. I didn't understand any of the songs but felt moved by the music and body language of the performers. The concert is only an hours duration and that time flew by. Simply brilliant.!@

This was an excellent 1-hour experience. It was my first Fado. The singing was exquisite. Loved every single note, every moment. The musicians were also exceptional. You need to buy tickets prior. Make sure you arrive 10 minutes before. If you want a great restaurant close by go to La Ricotta - it’s amazing.

It is a Fado club. So, only music (singing under the accompaniment of two guitars) and a glass of Porto vine will be provided. The place is relatively small, for about 40 people, about 20 small tables for sitting. Picture taking and video recording of the musicians is allowed. The concert is 1 hour. Fado is a Portuguese form of a city romance songs, reminds a lot Russian gipsy songs. Fado was great!

After passing by countless times and hoping to visit despite the late concert hours (from 10:30 pm to 1:30 am), we finally made it to Hot Five twice this past month. The ambiance is wonderful, and the Sunday Jazz Cats are incredibly talented. A minor inconvenience is that the seating isn’t oriented toward the stage, which can leave you with a sore back from sitting awkwardly. I highly recommend booking your seats in advance. I’m so glad to have Hot Five in the neighbourhood. I’ll likely visit mostly on Sundays and occasionally for the tribute nights!

Sensational experience. Really well priced and affordable experience. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, the snacks and drinks were superb, and the Amy Winehouse tribute was just incredible. It was my favourite part of the trip to Porto.

We attended a soul music concert. The venue ia splendid the music was spectacular. Truly enjoyed the evening. The food is not why you come here.

One of the coolest jazz bars I’ve ever been! The place is a converted cinema and they’ve kept some of the old features which look really good. The old cinema seats were very comfy although there wasn’t much legroom in some seats. Some seats were positioned quite awkwardly so it was hard to face the stage but not a problem if you sit at the front. You’re expected to be respectful when watching the band so don’t go if you want to talk loudly to your friends. Went to see The Jazz Cats on Sunday night who were incredible - the band was a trio playing grand piano, double bass and drums. The doors opened at 9:30 and they started just after 10:30. They played 2 sets of 1 hour each with a break in between. The second set was a ‘jam session’ where people from the audience can join them if they wish. The volume level was perfect. Some reviews say it was too loud but I do not agree. You pay to reserve a table and they have different sized tables - it works out about €10-15 per person. You can book this online before the performance. The drink selection is good - and they had a decent choice of cocktails. Drinks were average price: about €10 for a cocktail or spirit and €5 for a large beer. The service was quite slow but this was because there was only 1 waitress serving the whole club and she was very busy all night. It would have been good to have 2 servers. The atmosphere and music was amazing - definitely recommend!!!

went on new year’s. i found the dj’s to be just alright. i would give it another chance but in VIP, as the club did get packed and it was almost impossible to move around. ticket prices were very reasonable considering they came with a lot of drinks included in the price.

WORST PLACE EVER! We waited outside (under the rain) for 2 hour before they let us go in, then we waited 1 hour for the wardrobe (which it was full). Moreover they give you an orange ticket to get the drinks and IF YOU LOSE THIS TICKET YOU NEED TO PAY A PENALTY OF 100€!! This is INSANE AND UNFAIR. Moreover, they didn't let a girl go out even though she was sick BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T GET THE STAMP ON THE TICKET AT THE BAR!! YOU ARE DISGUSTING!

Just don't go here. You wait 2 hours in the line just to tell you that you need a polo T-shirt or a shirt to enter. There are way better clubs in Porto.

Grabbed a drink here around 7pm with husband. After getting dinner and returning back a few hours later because we enjoyed our drinks and the kindness of the bartender. I was turned away by the doorman who was not there prior because I was wearing a sleeveless shirt (tank top) the same clothes I was previously wearing. The bartender was very kind, but if this is an establishment that is advertised as a safe space for queer and gay people, your security shouldn't have biases about the clothing people are wearing.

The BEST bar in Porto! Good music, friendly staff and extremely talented bartenders. Always good music and great crowd. Did I mention the BEST drinks? Location is awesome as it’s in the city center. Me and my friends come from Canada and always make a point to stop in here for a great time. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and they are such great people. This is a place that is accepting of ALL types of people. I definitely recommend it to everyone passing through the city.

To be honest, i wanted to give them half a star at most, but i can’t, so one it is. My two friends and I paid to get in but one of their ink stamps was erased because the quality wasn’t good at all and we didn’t notice when we went out for a bit. Once we wanted to get inside again they didn’t let her back in without paying again, even though she had the receipt and the free consumption ticket. Also, we went out at first because the music wasn’t good and there were very few people so it was rather boring.

I am just sharing a very important comment because I think I have to warn you all. I get druged yesterday, someone put something in my drink. Please be careful. It was a group of older french guys.

They told me I need reservations to get in, but you don’t need one. It depends on the way you look. My friends got in and It turned to be a horrible place. Don’t bother, go to a better place to have fun

Good place, inexpensive, just super hot and way too many people for such a small place. After 3am there’s nothing but drunk people and a weird vibe though — but up until then you’ll have a good time.

I put 1 star because I can’t leave 0 or minus 10. This place is awful, we’ve paid for a table for 400e to get a lacking service; not enough glasses or softs, unable to get a server or anyone to help. We’ve had people drinking from our bottles, men coming to the place where the table was. One of them made someone fall on the steps because he wouldn’t leave and we had to deal with them ourselves. During this a friend fell and got injured, on top of this you can add sexual harrassment and assault. The entire time we complained to the barman, the server, the staff no one did anything. Absolutely nothing until we left.. we consumed one bottle, the other WE paid for, was just stolen from. Steer clear of this place, there are many better ones on the same street. Paying this much for the lack of care and dangerous situation and « security » guys that stay on their phone is absurd. Horrible place !!

€10 euro entry gets you two tickets for drinks. Inside they played a mix of Portuguese and Brazilian music but also some mainstream American music. Cool cage in the middle for dancing. Club got far too busy and we had to leave. I go to nightclubs a lot and have never been so squashed in my life. When we were leaving they were still letting people in and had a massive queue.

The best club in Galerias, first the staff are friendly, they talk to you and explain you, the drinks are cheaper, the music and atmosphere are amazing, the only problem is that at weekends it's overcrowded, bit you have two floors with different rhythm...in general is perfect for students

Came to Porto for a week and ended up coming here twice in a row for the night just from the amazing experience I had, sadly I do not speak Portuguese but that did not stop the bartender from making friends with me. Made my drinks very nice, good price will be coming back here in the future 🙌

I really liked this place. It doesn't get crazy busy most nights but has a great atmosphere. I was in Porto for a week and felt like going there every night. Beer and food were good and reasonably priced. Cocktails were only okay. Maybe it was a bad night for cocktails.

way too expensive for the drinks, if you smoke it’s worth it for the ambience. they play really nice music and the place is quite home-y but 2€ for 25cl of beer is entirely too much

Great bar, one of the oldest continuously functioning night-spots since the 90's. It's been renovated a few times and is now snazzy enough to not be amiss in Porto flashy new image as a tourist hotspot. The gentleman who took our order was incredibly nice, and joked and made us feel at home. The music wasn't loud enough to drown out a conversation which was a relief and unusual for a bar. If I had criticism, it's a smoker's bar, which is rather unpleasant especially for an ex-smoker like me, and the drinks are a tad expensive, even for Porto nightlife standards.

CASH ONLY FYI. Fine place to have a drink in a great location but food is average. Also limited English (which is totally fine of course), but that meant we had no idea what to do with the traditional grilled chorizo fire, whereas the place across the road was explaining it to their guests. Maybe add the info to the menu?

Good, but don’t accept mainstream credit / debit cards. Only multibanco. For tourists, have cash ready to save an embarrassing trip to the atm. Other than this, a great little bar.

Struggled to get served as the chap serving seemed pretty clueless and then they didn’t have the wine nor cocktail my wife ordered that were on the menu. She ended up having a can of coke. Tried to pay on my card and it was cash only which was not clear in advance.

Very nice service, the chorizo was great and the pimientos de padron. Not to mention the Sangria de maracuyá. Highly recommended for spending a cozy time and a lovely date.

Lovely little place for a quick gin. Excellent service. Only negative was the rather strong smell of cooking oil.

Popped in for a beer and quick snack. Was met by very friendly staff and I can see it being a lively place at night after 11pm. Had the 1927 Dunkel beer with the smoked salmon toasted sandwich, that had a hint of pesto, which was really good.

Very good bar to drink something and eat tapas,, nice atmosphare. They have a beer tasting with 4 kind of beer (4×100ml)
