Awesome river view spot in Porto! Perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and some amazing appetizers. They had a great selection — dry-aged cheese, ham, shrimp — everything was fresh and delicious. Our server was absolutely A+++ — friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. If you can look past the loud tourists, the bifanas are truly yummy. I love the spice and how fresh they were. The vegetable soup was very good too. Nice job!

The restaurant had a simple but pleasant atmosphere. Servers were pleasant and friendly. The sandwich was tasty and very well priced, the only thing I didn’t like was that the sauce made the roll soggy on some parts. I do not like soggy bread but great concept and worth trying out!

Update: I ended up coming here 4x during my 3-day trip to Porto. It was really addictive. Lovely bifanas! This was a great accidental find. We came here after having a racist experience at the Piri Piri chicken store opposite and were very heartened by the impartial service here. It turned out that Conga is actually very famous. Bifanas were absolutely delicious - salty, soft meat with a slight tinge of spice, I could have eaten two in a go. We tried different combinations - with rice and fries, but decided that the original style of having the meat with bread was the best as it soaks up the meaty greasy spicy goodness. Sangria is also fizzy and great in the heat, but slightly sweet. So good we came back twice in a day!

Authentic Portuguese food and experience. Came recommended from host and was worth the visit. Had Bacalhau and Steak as options on day I went. The Cod, rice and bean/greens dish were excellent! Quick for food and service was great, and best yet not a tourist trap with all locals. Will visit again.

We went here for a traditional bifana and we got it! The broth was so flavorful and a little spicy. Seriously delicious. We also got the veggie soup and the caldo verde - both were very bland, but hot and fresh. The atmosphere was a standard, sports place, nothing special. The water closet was a bit messy and smelled strongly of urine. Really great value, it was the most affordable meal we had while in Porto.

The best meal we had in Portugal. If you know you know good food, this restaurant is not to be missed. The environment is rustic and lively and the service is prompt with great recommendations from the staff. We had the pork roll, soup with meat and blood (surprisingly amazing) and the homemade wafer cake for desert (which I wouldn’t normally go for but was recommended and incredible). We’ll be coming back again tomorrow.

This! Still my favourite eat in all of Portugal. This humble tavern serves a range of traditional Portuguese fare but the true star of the show is the slow cooked Rojoes. I've been here multiple times now and it's the place I look forward to visiting most when I'm in Porto. Expect a long wait for a table if you're coming for dinner especially if you're in a big group. The best time to come is at the end of lunch service. If I'm not just grabbing one of the face-melting Sandos I'm ordering a full portion of the stewed pork, a side of patas fritas and a couple of beautiful fried eggs. All is accompanied by fresh crusty bread and a banging home made hot sauce. There are multiple dining areas, one at the bar, one in front of the kitchen and main room. The atmosphere is as local as it gets so expect to wait your turn. Hopefully they don't stay closed for long!

The best sandwich we had in Portugal! This little hidden gem is more of a local coffee shop where people stop by for a quick bite. If you’re after a unique experience, this is the place to be! The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful, served on fresh bread—everything you could want in a sandwich!

Amazing restaurant in a great area of Porto! The food is incredible, the staff are super friendly, and it’s just a gorgeous space overall. It’s never too crowded either, I went back a few times during my stay. I absolutely recommend it whether you’re vegan/vegetarian or not, and definitely don’t skip dessert (best tiramisu I’ve ever had).

Amazing vegan food in a self-service setup with a big and varied selection. Every day there are fresh soups, tasty pizzas, hot dishes, and a colorful mix of salads. The place has a clean, modern vibe that makes it easy to hang out and enjoy your meal. I've been vegan for years and have tried many places, but during my time in Porto, I ended up eating here most of the time. If you're vegan and happen to be in Porto, this place is a must-go.

The food was delicious!! The dessert with tapioca is one of the best ones I had lately, the kind you eat slowly! Atmosphere was chill, very recently reshaped environment. Service was also nice, with very kind people.

NO LONGER A BUFFET!!! Has been ‘renovated’ and is no longer offering buffet services. Dishes are an average of €17 and though they are okay, are not really worth the money, especially compared to the good value that the previous format offered. Very disappointed overall.

Pedro dos Frangos Review 🍗🐙🐟 Fresh and delicious roasted chicken I’m not usually a chicken fan, but at Pedro dos Frangos, I couldn’t stop eating! The sardines were fresh, crispy, and perfectly meaty absolutely amazing! The octopus with baby potatoes was tender and full of flavor. 10/10 highly recommend! A hidden gem in Porto you must try! 🇵🇹✨

Really nice restaurant to get dinner. Service is amazing. Always with a smile from the servers. We ordered as an appetizer Bacalao cakes. For main entry we were greedy and ordered a Churrasco mixto and tripes with beans Porto Style. I know it was too much we couldn’t finished. Flavors were on point. The mojo with garlic they use for the grill mix we ordered was awesome. We couldn’t order dessert we didn’t have room for it.

A Must try!! 🥰 See the Chicken roasted over charcoal and evenly crusted. Meat is Juicy not dry. Fries is up to individual taste. I love crispier McDonald’s fries more…. The Greens is an optional side but you can order a small size to. Beer to complement the food. Go for the tap if you want Estrella ! I gone Super Bock ! 🇵🇹

I would say 3.5 stars. We came without a reservation and thankfully did not have to wait long for a table as we came just when they opened. When we left the queue was looong… so maybe it’s best to make a reservation. We had 1 chicken w fries and a side salad. Portions are Big! Chicken was nicely seasoned.. will be salty if you eat all the skin. Chicken breast wasn’t as succulent as I expected it to be but I guess it’s hard to cook juicy breast when cooking so many chickens at once. Fries were very very mediocre, will probably do away with it next time. Salad was nice and fresh. Service is a little dodge.

Unexpectedly the BEST meal I had in Porto. Grilled chicken was amazing tender, but the secret sauce (literally) is the Piri Piri sauce which elevated it to a whole new level. Get the octopus rice as well - very tasty. Portions-wise, 1 dose for the chicken and half dose for the octopus rice did very nicely. (Quick note: the queue actually starts on the second floor, so do look out for it if you don't have reservations. The queueing system was quite confusing to us.)

Choose your time wisely - I think we got there by about 7 and got a table without a problem, by the time we were leaving there were about 30 people queuing. The food was very nice and well priced. We had the pork loin and the chicken. The only thing that wasn't great was the cake we ordered for dessert but tbh should have known better. it's a good place if you want a hearty meal.

Great meal only 30 euro for 2 people inclusive of entree, Main and 2 glasses of port. We had fried sardines and veggies. Sardines we crispy and tasty veggies were nice cabbage cooked in butter, for mains we shared piri piri chicken and fries, the fries were delicious and the chicken was juicy and tender. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely loved this place. The food at NOLA Kitchen is fresh, wholesome, and full of flavor. Everything we tried was delicious and clearly made with care. They cater to dietary restrictions, but don’t keep on the state. Was absolutely delicious. The vibe is amazing, positive, energetic, and fun. The team working there is friendly, welcoming, and clearly loves what they do. The whole place has a great atmosphere, with clever and uplifting quotes scattered around that just add to the experience. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality. It’s rare to find food this healthy and tasty at such a fair price. If you’re into healthy, flavorful food and good energy, don’t miss this spot. Can’t recommend it enough.

We stumbled across this cafe on a evening and were sceptical at first because we thought it was one of those overhyped and touristic cafes but fortunately we were wrong! We both each had a salad and a juice and both were so delicious! We were so happy to find something that is not fast food after 8-9pm. It came out pretty fast and the atmosphere was great (not to loud). We saw that they also sell the granola and nuts mix they used in the salads and had to buy that! We highly recommend this place, especially if you crave something not greasy and fried but still fulfilling. (Plus the waitresses were super friendly)

We loved the overnight oats and the shakshuka! Both were reasonably priced and exceptionally delicious. We were absolutely famished before arriving at Nola’s, but our food, however prepared with visible attention to detail, arrived very fast and filled us up with a perfect portion. We also loved, that the menu offered a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, and we were also pleased to hear that allergies etc. were considered with every meal or drink. We would absolutely recommend eating here and would return every time we‘re back in the city.

The food is very healthy and very delicious!! It is truly made with love. Plus the staff is very friendly and very quick. I would definitely recommend it as I really enjoyed my lunch at NOLA kitchen. This place is something else ❤️ With such a great concept, where real food comes first and that healthy, tasty food makes us both healthier and happier, it’s a delight to eat here. The coffees and matchas are incredible and so are the other drinks. The food is divine and it all tastes like it has been made with love. Last but not least, some of the friendliest people work here who make you feel welcome and at home. Needless to say, we went back many many times 😁🥰 Thank You team Nola! PS their 2nd new cafe Nola 2.0 is just as good with a slightly different menu!

It took a while before we were serviced but it was worth waiting for. Large choice of dishes (sweet and savory) and drinks, all freshly made. Really enjoyed it. The outside area is along a busy street, which is the only criticism we can think of.

Very nice at time and meal at Nola. We sat outside, its in a very busy area which made the chaos a unique part of the experience. The staff was very attentive. For starter, we got the cauliflower with cheese, I thought it was good but the amount of cheese and texture was a bit much, a little too gooey and getting stuck in my teeth. Still tasty but maybe lacked more special. For main course, I got the green salad with tofu, very good, but thought it was a little expensive since the add on of tofu cost extra for just three pieces. My friend told me the shakshuka was delicious. The juices were lovely, specially the beetroot, tasted the most fresh. The mousse was delightful, my favorite part, although wouldve been nice to get some fruit such as strawberries or raspberries to top it off, not just for the visual aspect but to balance out the dish.

Recommend the bakery, not so much the cafe. If you want to eat there, do not make the mistake of ordering from the cafe menu they give you! (Limited options, cold and unappealing pastries). Instead, take a picture of the pastry you want from the bakery and show it to the waiter. I didn’t realize they had this option until I overheard a staff member telling another customer :(

Bakery with many options! We ordered a variety of the pastries to eat in. Weirdly none of the savoury pastries are heated up, so everything was cold and honestly not very good. The carrot / ginger cake and chocolate cake were the best things we got. Might be better to order as a takeaway to heat up at home.

unfortunately highly would not recommend the mango smoothie. it was 4.40€, but it was extremely bland and did not have any milk or cream (isn’t that what a smoothie means?). it tasted like a little bit of mango and a lot of water. pastel de nata was just ok, can get better elsewhere

One of the best coffees in Porto thus far. Purchased a chourico bread, cod cake, and carrot cake. All great The carrot cake is highly recommended. Location was busy, though service was excellent. Right around the corner from Livaria Lello and Lion fountain.

We visited this place yesterday and had an amazing experience! Our waitress, Marriana, gave us the best service we’ve had in all of Portugal. She was approachable, always smiling, kind, and gave us genuine recommendations. We tried the passion fruit sangria, octopus, and sandwich #14 (with Brie and caramelised onions). Everything was excellent! The sangria was rich in citrus and fresh fruit, the octopus was perfectly cooked and impressively served as a whole (not just a few tentacles like in most places), and the sandwich was absolutely delicious—even though we had initially hoped to try Bifanas, but Marriana’s recommendation did not disappoint. The prices are also on point. The only small suggestion would be to serve lemon wedges with the octopus. Highly recommended!

Words can’t properly describe how much I loved sandwich no.8 . It was absolutely amazing, the pork was so tender and all the ingredients of good quality. Service was always fast and nice at the 2 locations I’ve been to ( Progresso& Tradicional). I will be coming back for sure each time I will visit Porto.

The perfect 5 star restaurant with great service, super food and grand ambiance. The authentic dishes are served alongside the contemporary food menu that has a vast choice. The drinks are served from a large selection available.

While in Portugal, trying a Bifana is a must. The Bifana here at Case Guesdes were good but not as good as the ones we had in Lisbon. This restaurant does have other Portuguese dishes on their menu besides Bifana so it is a great place to stop by and have dinner especially after a long day of walking.

Good place to try the Francesinha, ours came loaded with lots of meat, it was great value for the money, in addition to a $3 euro gigantic plate of fries. The gravy it came with was also delicious and made the dish so much better. I have to admit we were skeptical of the francesinha but glad we decided to try it here! We also ordered the octopus but could have given it a miss as it was a bit mushy and not very fresh, although it came with a large portion of spinach that was seasoned well.

The best francesinha I have ever had in my trip around Portugal. The sauce tasted handmade, the meats were so tender and juicy, everything was full of flavor. O asked for oranges juice and the oranges were freshly squeezed.

Great location, first and foremost. Staff were welcoming but waiter then seemed surprised - even a little disappointed - that we both went for the small francesinha rather than the large. However, it was delicious in a tremendous, slightly spicy, sauce. Wife had a large glass of green wine while I just had a delightful 0.4l of very cold beer- the ubiquitous super-bock. You couldn't beat the view or the light bite.

Drooling seafood presented on the table. Came here for lunch then decided to return for dinner to try other great dishes prepared by the chef. Food truely succulent which suit our taste bud. Paired with their house white and rose wine 🍷. Thanks so much for your super friendly services and meal 🍽️

Absolutely fantastic food in Porto! The stuff is amazing, friendly and knows the menu really well. The location is nice, not that crowded as restaurants next to the river. Food is great, prawns were just incredibly tasty, and the dessert 11/12 (or something like that) was super delicious! Highly recommend! Hope to come back one day!

After arriving late from Lisbon to Porto, I found this restaurant and decided to visit after reading reviews on Google. I visited with my child and ordered grilled octopus, seafood rice, grilled shrimp, and sangria. Overall, it was a bit salty for our family's taste, perhaps because it was meant for seafood. However, it wasn't bad when paired with the accompanying garnish. The sangria was 15 euros for 500ml. It felt quite expensive, but I ordered it just to try it. Is this typical Portuguese sangria? (See photo) It was unbelievable... It was expensive, but it was worth experiencing at least once. While taste buds vary, everyone in my family agreed it was salty. Again, it's best enjoyed with garnish. Not recommended for those sensitive to salt. I also tried the seafood rice for the first time, and while it wasn't quite what I'd seen before, it was a decent experience. (If I were to visit again, I wouldn't order it.) Also, we had a table on the first floor and on the terrace. Since there were no seats on the upper level, we gave up on the view and went to the second floor. While we didn't experience any special service, we had a hard time paying. They were demanding a tip. We didn't add any, but... if we had experienced exceptional service and a unique taste, it wouldn't have been a waste. It's important to serve something from the heart, but... It was frustrating when we had to pay. They persistently asked for a tip for two or three minutes, but we never added one. We won't be back again when we visit Porto. I hope my review was helpful.

We wanted to order the barnacles but were told that its not in season. The young gentleman next to us kindly explained to us that right now the weather is dangerous for the percebeiros (professionals whose job are to harvest percebes or barnacles on the rocks). We got to chat a bit about the seafood culture in Portugal. We ordered stuffed edible crab and grilled tiger prawn. So fresh and delicious. Just before we were about to get the check, we were told that the young man actually was one of the bosses and he sent us a sweet desert! Thanks!

Had a delightful evening in Ernesto. Although busy the staff were friendly and attentive. The local Portuguese food was delicious , as was the Duoro wine!

Absolutely amazing authentic Portuguese food. There was no English menu which is when you know the food is going to be good. I highly recommend the steak-turkey and the potatoes. Also, the litter of wine was incredible and we each got 4 glasses worth. Everyone around us was having a great time and enjoying their food as well. The service was lovely and so friendly. Definitely stop here during your trip to Porto for a well priced and authentic meal

Cheap and cheerful casual eatery. Very nice waiting staff who speaks English helped us to order. The food is not great, but for the price, we can't complain. The soup was very good though. As the service was good, we had second go. Brilliant! Order grilled fish. Perfectly cooked. I recommend go early, as the last time we visited, that was nearly closing time, and many things were out. Highly recommended.

The service and food here were fantastic. This is authentic Portuguese food. My server took the time to translate the menu - I had the linguado grelhado (grilled sole) and leite creme (similar to creme brulee) and both were *very* good. Even the bread served before the meal was great.

Great recommendation from our Airbnb host, which was fulfilled. The food was authentic Portuguese, the red house wine was mind-blowing, the service was excellent and our waitress even took the time to translate the whole Portuguese menu for us and was very attentive. The desert we had was a creme brulée and delicious. We can definitely recommend coming here and especially the fish from the menu.

The service is good, friendly and attentive . Most impressive is the wine list and we had a good conversation with the waiter about it. The food was of a good standard but nothing exceptional. The cured meat platter is really good . If you get bothered by cigarette smoke, especially while you are eating , don’t go here. The owner (?) and friends were sitting at a table ne t to the entrance playing cards . They were smoking so much that it became really uncomfortable at our table .

Food was pretty good, but random expensive pricing for things not ordered made the experience unpleasurable. Had some great cod carpachio. Shrimp with black noodles was also very good. T-bone steak was 91 Euro, two tiny containers of butter for bread was 2 x 3 Euro, dried meat with cream cheese already on table, another 20 Euro. We thought it was free. Final bill was double for any dining experience we had previously and we didn't have any wine or beer. Owner of restaurant was very helpful in translating into English. Service staff was very accommodating. Beware of "free" food items already on your table. They ain't free!

The food is OK, but average. I ordered some fish (wich was nice) and some ribs but I barely found any meat on them. Prices are quite high for the city and location. There is an extra 11€ added to the total for bread and a meat platter that is already on the table. Tasty but pricey. Great selection of wines and very attentive staff.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the local owner of the AirBnb where we were staying, so we had high hopes. In summary, I would not go there again. First of all, the restaurant host acted all snobby. No smile on the face. Asked if we had a reservation, and only with some hesitation were we seated. So, we felt unwelcome to start with. And no, we we weren't poorly dressed or anything like that. The food was very ordinary. Absolutely nothing special about it. The quality of the service or food most certainly doesn't warrant the stuck up attitude of the staff. We made the best of our visit between ourselves, but I would not go back, and would not recommend it to my friends.

We serendipitously had lunch here. This is one of the finest restaurants in Porto. The personnel were amicable and well-informed. They patiently elucidated the diverse dishes. The cuisine was undoubtedly superb and delectable. You should sample the abade prisco at least once to explore the flavors of Portugal.

This was the first time we ordered patatas bravas on this trip and they were delicious. We ended up getting them every place we went and by the end of the trip the ones here were still my favorite. My friend loved the pork croquettes and actually asked for me after our meal because she loved them so much. Friendly and helpful staff. The menu has a lot of options!

Food was okay, Pork knuckle was really tasty, falling out of bone, do delicious, however side dish that you get with it was also good but portion is very small and not in proportion with the meat where you get really good amount of it. Other dish however, was nothing special, bacalar with egg and vegetables. It had some tomato taste which is fine but overall lacking some spices or something. Position of restaurant is nice, on the street.

Since I moved to Portugal, it has been my dream to try chorizo cooked over fire. And it just so happened that during this trip to Porto, when I remembered about it, we were right next to a place with a good rating and lots of reviews. The chorizo turned out just as I imagined — first a little fire show, and then juicy chorizo with cold beer — everything you need to enjoy the last sunny days. But be careful: if it’s windy outside, you’ll get a dose of fear along with your dish when the flames start blowing in your direction.

I genuinely don’t get the hype of this place — the food was super cold, flavourless and the price per quality is off (9,90€ for a prego with Brie and 5,90€ for a small glass of wine is exorbitant). They get an extra star for the super nice staff and incredible roof top terrace, but overall not worth it!

We enjoyed this place however there was no air conditioning and the waiter completely forgot about us when Main Melas were served. We were keen for dessert and some water (to say the least). Many of our meals were lovely but the service did let this place down.

Nice if somewhat expensive food. My wife had the Octopus and I had the cod with crust . Both dishes well executed. The waiter, despite the beard and the tattoos;) , was very nice. Better than most of the tourist traps along the river. Wine can be had between 13 and 700 euros, I would recommend the 2023 Tons de Duorum at 14 euro/ bottle.

A total surprise! Looked like nothing on the outside, but turned out to be wonderfully small, quiet and with a fantastic view! The lunch menu was only two items - fish or duck. Both were great. We had sangria and enjoyed the quiet place away from the buzzing city centre outside. Our recommendations!

Slightly away from the very busy tourist area, but with an amazing view over the river to the port cellars and the brilliant bridge. We shared the 'copper pot' special fish stew shared between us was really good, plenty of seafood and great flavour. We visited for lunch and there was still space outside, but also some tables inside.

Had dinner sitting outside just in time for sunset. Had octopus entrée special followed by cod fish with tomato herby crust with smashed potatoes and tunip greens. So well seasoned, generous meaty piece of cod. Waiter recommended a lovely local white wine to pair with the fish. Finished with a chocolate molten cake which was perfect end to a really nice meal.

Good food. Nice views. Inside and outside seating. Outside seating often gets bumped by people walking by because of a tight walkway.

Everywhere is full so they were quite accommodating and seat us within 10min. Service is fast. Not as authentic but a taste of portugese food

We had our first dinner here, in Porto and it was great! Delicious food and great service! Their sommelier was a fun guy, very helpful with the wines and also let us experience what Porto's wines are like!

Ode Porto is an absolute treat. We were here at the end of May and the experience was unforgettable. You step in from the hustle and bustle of the streets and immediately everything slows down. The staff was fantastic from beginning to end and the owner makes you feel like a guest in his house. The love and care for what they do here is apparent. Each dish was fantastic and wine offerings were just as good. I wish we could have tried it all. A standout dish for me was the Cabidela Rice. A dish that seems rustic but was so complex in flavors. Highly recommended this gem when you are in Porto.

I cannot express how special my time was at ODE. First of all, I had single handedly the best food I have had in Portugal. We had the tripes as an appetizer which was so good that my finance and I thought about just ordering more orders of that as our entire meal. But then the main courses came out which absolutely stunned. I had the octopus rice which was perfectly seasoned and not at all too heavy. My partner got the Iberian pork ribs which literally fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. Dessert was the owners own mothers pudding which had us savoring every bite. We were introduced to our new favorite champagne - the entirety was more than we could have hoped for. The history behind this place is moving and the devotion to family, tradition, culture, quality, and food was very touching. The owner wrote us a handwritten congratulations on our engagement on a hand painted parting gift. What an experience- I hope each and every person at ODE knows that they have given us a once in a lifetime production!

Such an incredible restaurant! My partner and I went twice and had an amazing experience both times. The food is delicious (and good value considering the quality) and artistic, and the service was incredible. Wow! We celebrated our anniversary here in October 2025, based on a recommendation from a friend. Cute and great food, wine and port. My dish was outstanding. My wife liked but did not love her dish. The owner visits every table to ask how things are going. When he heard she liked but did not love her dish, we were totally surprised and charmed when he volunteered to replace it. Her replacement was one of her favorite dinners in a 3 week journey throughout Portugal. I had a great colheita from 1982 (our anniversary year)....expensive but the best ever. One minor vignette....we were seated downstairs near some doors/windows...very cute. Some guests stepped out for a smoke, and smoke wafted in. Yuck. We mentioned to owner, and he skillfully and diplomatically asked the others to step away. They had no idea their smoke was wafting in, and they quickly and apologetically moved further away. Problem solved. Kudos to owner for handling.

Very disappointed. Especially that we’ve walked 2 km from the city center especially for a birthday celebration. Not only they refused us the access to the terrace and it was very loud inside ( two large groups there ), none intention for our birthday (we’ve mentioned it by booking- they’ve asked). The dish was not very good looking, not good and much over salted.

Vegetarian visitors and locals of Porto, this is your restaurant! Absolutely excellent in every way. This place does not represent everything that makes Porto Porto, but this can't be expected of a vegetarian restaurant. Portugal's culinary history lies, after all, mostly in meat and other animal products. But for locals and visitors specifically looking for the very best in vegetarian cuisine, this should be your go-to. We enjoyed the pumpkin soup, mushroom risotto, gnocchi and especially the exquisite Douro wine. Service is sublime and prices are perfect. Situated outside of the historic city centre, but easily reachable if you stay there. Highly recommended!

Finally a restaurant that has a good offer of vegetarian dishes. Everything is well chosen and delicious. The service is paying attention and doing a really good job as well. It is not the cheapest restaurant in Porto for sure but it is worth the price. I can only recommend it to everyone that is looking for something more special.

Really nice brunch option, wasn't as busy as some of the other popular places nearby. We had the francesinha and it was really tasty. The service was friendly and there was a nice atmosphere in the outdoor area.

The food is quite decent, I had grilled chicken and salad which are good. I tried sushi from friends platter but it's not that great. And it's hot inside with no air conditioning or even a fan that works.

Not your typical all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. They offer a fixed price curated tasting menu and at the end of it, if you are still hungry, they will make you any sushi menu item a la carte. Really enjoyed the food and service. Will be back!

We had a pizza and codfish and they were delicious. Cod was nicely plated and tasted fantastic. There was quite a bit of spinach which I thoroughly enjoyed with the tender potatoes. Pizza was on point with a thin crispy crust. Service was friendly and helpful although they got my order wrong but that was quickly rectified. A lovely lunch!

We ate 2 vegetarian dishes and they were really good! Also the stuff was friendly and the sangria we drank was delicious. As others said, you do have to pay for the bread and oil you are served as appetizers. The restaurant was a bit expensive for Porto but the quality was good!

Less busy than the regular tourist spot. Our guide took us here as a detour from the spot that’s closed. It’s surprisingly good food. I love that we are the only one during their lunch hour. Or our lunch hour.

The food is pretty good when you can actually get it as they are out of items often. I ordered two chicken pita sandwiches and they were supposed to come with fries. The fries were missing. The chicken pitas and the alheira balls were good though.

We stopped by this restaurant on our way back to the hotel for a quick bite before catching our flight. It was early, so the place was quiet, but the fun décor gave it a lively feel. We ordered a mix of dishes—salmon avocado tacos, steak burger with fries, sushi rice and salmon burrito. Everything was tasty, and overall pretty good value for money. Service was easy and relaxed, and we left feeling satisfied. I’d be happy to eat here again.

Excellent food, great place to enjoy a “Birazinha”, a variant of Francizinha with bolo de caco, a specialty from Madeira. You should absolutely try!

COME HERE!! If you want real authentic Portuguese food I was treated so nicely by the elderly ladies who were just cooking for everyone. Come early because when I got sit down I noticed a few minutes later there was a line outside. From what I remember it opened at 8:00pm

Very authentic, run by two local ladies and has only 6 tables. Worth the wait, very tasty and fresh. I recommend the octopus salad (verde) and sardines. As a finish off i got the bifana sandwich. Dont miss this gem!

Quite a fine mood set in the restaurant as I liked the stone wall, but the food was as typical as any other in the area. I went to the restaurant and stood by the door for almost a minute. There was a staff member staying by the archway playing with his phone the whole time, I wasn't sure if he was a staff member here, so I didn't call out to him. Even other clients stared at me and then him several times during my wait. I got bored of seafood after staying in Portugal for a week, and none of the main courses interested me, so i ordered a couple of appetizers for the meal instead. One surprise was that I was able to locate the coin from my country right next to where I picked to sit.

Homemade dishes from the owners and everything was superb!!! 💯 We had trouble looking for the place at first as they open the doors just right before serving but the wait was super worth it! I suggest coming before opening hours, and wait. There are only few table and you might risk to wait for a long time.

If you like local, this place is for you. We visited this place for lunch. They already have a long queue before they even open. You have to wait a little bit for the first set of people to dine. The order will be made all at once. Only one person will take the order for everyone. This is a family run restaurant. The owner is the one that takes the order. He is very helpful and he can speak English. I love the sardines! 👌 You just have to be patient. If you are very hungry, this is not for you 😅

Non touristic place, you can find only locals eat here - that is a great sign. They are offering both fish and meat. You need too try veal meat and goat meat that is typical. Nice list of wines. This time service a bit too slow but usually this is not a case. Stuff is nice & kind. The place is known for many years and recently got renovated with some Scandinavian interior touch (that is not common in Porto), prices are fair.

The food here is simple but excellent. Great produce and cooked well. We had the grilled shrimp to start and shared the Octopus fillet with rice. From starters to desserts, you can't go wrong as every dish I ever had here has been absolutely delicious; one of my favourite restaurants in Porto, perfect example of Portuguese cuisine.

We called this place to see if they have free table for dinner and they said yes! But when we arrived, they naked us to wait 40 minutes for a table! The food was good but they absolutely charged us more than the prices on list! With no explanation. I think it’s something normal that the restaurants in Porto are doing with tourists.

This is a great traditional Portuguese restaurant. The service was very friendly and the food was tasty. We really enjoyed the dish with the tripe beans chorizo and meat, such deep flavors, simple and tasty. We had a couple of starters and a great bottle of wine and we had a great time.

Great place, definitely recommended. It's a cozy place, not too big, not too small, mainly made out of wood. You will not see any "paper towels" on the table, not even with served food. Service was really nice. The food was amazing, and I really recommend giving the "pastel de nata" as a dessert a try. The only downside is the price, as it's a bit too high for my liking. However, I will for sure return one day, as the rest makes up for it!

Its a good spot they have amazing service but in terms of the food its a bit dicey. There are good food options but looks, tasty and cost prospective its not that highly recommended. I loved the service but apart from that nothing really was exciting. Average price range for a food starts from 20€.

It's at the back end of the square, away from the hubub of the main square. A traditional Portuguese fish restaurant. Had been in Porto for a week and not managed to get a proper fish dinner. Found this place, very welcoming, did great fresh sardines, paired with a good local wine at their recommendation. Mixed salad and some olives as well, Best meal I had!

If there was an option for 10 stars I would defined place it! The owners Fatima and Joana are making the difference with their social work by promoting responsible adoptions through this amazing haven they created! This place is not just a cat cafe, is the perfect place to enjoy quality homemade delicacies made from heart ♥️ We tried the gnocchi, the vegan burger and of course their amazing carrot cake and lemon cake. At the same time we had the chance to pet and relax close the rescued kitties that have found an amazing place to be fostered until they meet their new family! This is a place made with huge love and effort by 2 women that work all day to provide the best experience to everybody while take care the stray cats and work until they find for them a new chance in life. I really don't understand the people who put 1 star in a place like this! There is now way to visit this place and leave with bad experience! I'm looking forward to go back again when visiting Porto! Congratulations for your contribution to society and animal welfare! I wish there were more businesses like this one and our world would be definetely a better place! Keep going the hard and amazing job!

This place is just amazing!! Who doesn't want to eat gorgeous tasty food and be surrounded by happy cats who seem so well cared for. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. The staff show such empathy, care and attention for each and every cat and this is just so lovely to see as a cat lover. Also, we had some of the best food we have experienced in Porto and would 100% recommend coming here for lunch and spend some time with the cats who are just adorable. Honestly, this has been the best cat cafe I ever been too (based on my experience of UK ones). Lastly, the pricing of the food is so reasonable and the portion sizes are great. I want to come back to Porto just for this cat cafe!!

Came here as a treat for the family, I am not a cat lover, however I was impressed by how they catered for both types of people, those who love cats and those who don’t. The place on entrance is welcoming with friendly staff, the cats are separated at the back of the cafe in the garden and another room. The food tasted amazing, everything on offer was vegan, honestly we didn’t miss the meat. I enjoyed a great coffee at the end. The mains were a good portion size. There was also a guest book, it had some cute and fun comments definitely worth a read. If I ever return to Porto I would definitely return here again.

Looking for a Marisqueria that was reasonable and good quality, with attentive service and stumbled across this place. The freshness and quality of the food was spectacular. Much better value than the much more expensive places around. The sharing seafood platter at €65 for two was outstanding.

Do not be discouraged by not having crowds here. This is a typical place where locals dine so expect to have an amazing service (even though the waiters, chef don't speak English) amazing food (fried octopus with rice was the best I have tried in my entire life) and amazing wine.

Good traditional portuguese restaurant with nice installations, especially in the top floor (esplanada). The service is very good and friendly, The food is good but a bit too expensive for what it gets.

Fish soup. Good fish in it, but stock not so good. Tuesday was clams with pork, "carne de porco â alentejana", tried it, cannot even say I found it wanting... Totally off course. Thin dry strips of pork - escaped from a potential pork bourguignon, not needed, tons of paprika, and clams on the Hobbit size, with a lens you could possibly see the flesh. My friends steak was really tender, but maybe sent through the TOR network, as it was so anonymous it had no taste. BUT really extensive wine list...

Overpriced, it costs 18 euros for 2 octopus tentacles and some potatoes. Not recommended.

Food was pretty good. We got a burger, burrito, schnitzel sandwich, and falafel. Both the schnitzel sandwich and hummus were great. The burger and burrito were good, but average. The part I'm mostly disappointed with is the sanitation. We got the baby highchair and it was visibly disgusting. I wiped the tray off with a wet wipe and it came up black. I decided it was too much effort to continue to clean it and instead put it back. Our two yeah old wiggled in a regular chair the whole meal. My husband was served a burrito that leaked liquid onto a flat wooden plate. This made it incredibly difficult to eat, but more importantly, wooden plates like this harbor bacteria and are unsanitary. While I really want to like this restaurant as it is close to where we live, I can't see myself coming back given their lax sanitation.

Veggie food of the highest quality! There’s a fabulous choice of food and drink on the digital menu. Burritos are to die for and are packed with scrumptious fillings served with an option of the most delicious fries. Portions are generous but the pricing is surprisingly inexpensive. Service is top notch with staff making you feel part of the family from the get go.

Set up in a very simple way with tables, fridges and shelves with products to buy, the meal will be nothing simple. I had the francesihna and it was truly phenomenal. It had so many different layers of meat that filled me up with pure joy. The also have a different dish of the day for only 6euros.

The daily special, which was a vegan version of bacalhau a bras with tofu instead of cod, was incredible! I couldn't stop saying how good it was after every bite. The vegan pastel de nata was also amazing. I got some pastries to go to eat for later too. The owner was very nice and helpful! I wish I was staying in Porto longer so I could visit again.

Just 6€ for the delicious dish of the day which was a flavorful stew of tofu, carrots, peas, and basmati rice! Service was very friendly and attentive. All sorts of vegan products are available for purchase, like vegan yogurt, meats, cheeses, and more :)

Nice vegan cafe which also sells a small range of vegan groceries (including some frozen food). I tried the francesinha sandwich and also had a camomile tea. I was impressed with the generosity of the fillings - some of the meat alternatives were great but the thicker layers (which felt more like a burger) were a bit dry. I think that's a fault with the product rather than how it was prepared by the cafe. The sauce was tasty, and also paired well with the chips. Staff were friendly and attentive

This review is just for the vegan pastel de nata, which is soy based. I was really impressed with it. The pastry was flaky and the filling was silky and smooth. Price was less than the traditional version I bought earlier today too! Really well done.

Great cafe and shop. The lady that works there is super lovely, very friendly and welcoming! Lots of tasty options, including toasties and a dish of the day (changes daily). They have different pastries by the till and perhaps the best vegan Nata's in Porto (also the cheapest, and yes we have tried a lot of Nata's)! The shop is well stocked with an amazing variety of vegan products, including almost a whole fridge of cheese 🧀 I'd recommend trying the prego (steak in bread)! THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH, AND PORTUGUESE BANK CARDS

The customer service is out of this world. A very cute, quaint and clean shop that offers an array of vegan options. I had the French Fries (cooked to perfection) and the Infamous Francesinha Sandwich (hey 🤷🏾‍♂️ when in Portugal, eat like the Portuguese). The sandwich was rich and tasty, but be forewarned the gravy has almost a fermented or vinegar sent to it however, it’s not sour tasting. All and all it was a great experience and at least nice to taste it. I also had a cup of organic barley! It was great and gave me the same aroma of coffee without the caffeine. Would definitely eat here again!!!

What a lovely breakfast (and lunch) spot! The staff were very sweet. The food was so fresh, healthy and incredibly flavoursome. The sourdough bread was one of the best I’ve had. The coffee was delicious and was even shown the beans that were being used. Really nice experience here. P.S the sweet treat was also amazing.

I wanted to try their home made kombucha, so one afternoon after 3.00pm in the pouring rain I took shelter in Manna Food & Yoga. It did not disappoint, I had two - they were lemon balm & ginger delicious. I loved the atmosphere so returned the next morning with my partner (sadly our last day in Porto) for their breakfast. The food was absolutely delicious, home cooked, 100 organic and the balance of flavours on my plate was perfect. I had their "manna eggs" which included home made kimichi, mushrooms and beans (not baked beans!). Instead of sourdough bread I had their chick pea crackers! Plus some home made hummus. All gluten free. My partner had the brown rice porridge. Nothing was left. I also had a green smoothie. 99% of their menu is gluten free, 100% organic with vegan/vegetarian options for everyone. I shall definitely be back to Porto and most certainly to Manna Food & Yoga! Thank you both for such a special experience made with so much thought and love! 5/5+++

Manna used to be one of our favorite places in Porto, for both breakfast and lunch. The food is still good, prepared slowly, with care and fresh ingredients. The scrambled eggs, the sourdough and the porridge with almond butter are still on our favorites list. We highly appreciate the tea and tisane variety. The atmosphere on the other hand has deteriorated considerably. Place looks a tad sad, dated and not quite as lively as it used to. Would love to see a revival, just small changes and updates, from the decor to the playlist, the yoga room and the little bookshelf. Photo from our previous visits. 2022.

Amazing gluten free brunch. Fresh ingredients and a peaceful space to enjoy in. Ordered the scrambled eggs, came with a gluten free cracker instead of sourdough which was turnout out to be a nice substitute and the whole meal was very filling.

The food was excellent. I ordered the rice bowl with a cured egg + mushrooms + kimchi + herbs. It was phenomenal. The chai latte was good but I prefer ones with a stronger chai flavor. The coffee was decent but I didn’t love it. The service is slow, but I wasn’t bothered by it. Overall great experience, would recommend and will be back!

A really good plant based restaurant. A great and varied choice of food options, and reasonably priced. I ended up going 3 times during my stay in Porto. Each visit deliciously satisfying. The staff welcoming and friendly.

Kind Kitchen deserves five stars for its amazing pastéis de nata, lovely staff and pleasant atmosphere alone. The main courses (francesinha and chimichuri steak) were oversalted but the vegan pastel and the vegan affogato were an experience unlike any other in Porto. The place feels welcoming in terms of decor and also very much thanks to the staff, and the location is great.

Lovely vegan restaurant. Yummy pastel de Natis (but quite pricey at 2.50 each but similar to some other vegan places.) Huge portion of chips to share - big portions in general. Staff are lovely. Interior is lovely. Not a lot of fresh things on the menu but what we had we enjoyed!

Excellent place, the food is scrumptious, the whole "kindness" vibe is real and lovely to witness. I have been there twice and we had 4 different dishes, all of it heavenly cooked. The tea and lemonade doesn't come with sugar, but they have if you ask and even better, they offered me Agave which is delicious and healthier than sugar. Love the place. Recently got the try the dessert for the first time, and the cheesecake was beyond any expectations. Vegan and absolutely out of this world.

I’d start by saying this would be 3.5 if Google allowed. Very nice venue, chilled vibe, staff lovely and prompt. No real AC to speak of and wooden chairs without a cushion on is one of my biggest hates in restaurants. Now to the meal: White wine sangria: Delicious, very refreshing and good value for money! 4/5 Nachos starter: easily the best vegan nachos I’ve ever had. Portion size isn’t huge but still delicious. 5/5 Seitan burger with bacon: the burger was excellent and the chips were delightful. 4/5 Francesinha: no reflection on the restaurant for this one as I just do not enjoy this meal ( I didn’t get it, partner did). There’s just too much going on. 1/5 Crazy vegan egg: this thing blew my mind. How they managed to replicate an egg so accurately is beyond me. Even smelled like an egg. 6/5 Brownie with ice cream: this thing was tragic. Brownie is served at room temperature and was so so dry / stale. Ice cream was nice that went on top Overall I’d say 3.5/5 but more places like this need to stay open so I’ll say a 4 overall.

Great place. The food is very tasty and completely different from the usual. Well cooked and well presented. An explosion of flavors. The garden is lovely and has a great vibe. The ideal place for a slow lunch on a nice summer's day. The staff are attentive and friendly. I recommend it 100%

One of the best meals I've ever had. Everything was amazing, the atmosphere, the service, but especially the food. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the ingredients were harvested the day we ate, everything was so fresh. It also feels like an authentic, but adventurous take on typical Portuguese cuisine. Delightful spot for an outstanding lunch, especially in the quiet and peaceful garden. The rosemary focaccia was delightful with wonderful marinated olives. But the highlight was the most perfect octopus I've ever had. The pan seared calamari was almost as good.

We had the most delicious dinner at Borboleta! We got the eggplant hazilim dip, grilled harissa chicken and the beef and lamb kabobs to share between the two of us and ate every last bite, it was the perfect amount of food! I ordered the N/A Aperol Spritz and my mom got the N/A beer and we enjoyed them both very much. Highly recommend!

I can’t understand the bad reviews here. This place is great! Good wine and knowledge about it. I tried the chef’s fish tasting menu and was not disappointed. Great salmon strawberry tartare, tender and delicious octopus and a lime pie to die for. Paired with their home made limoncello for which I tried desperately to get the recipe 😁. Overall maybe a bit pricier than other places on the region but in my opinion not at all beyond reason. Go for it - you won’t be disappointed!

Magical place in Porto that made our experience in the city absolutely amazing. Great food, exquisitely delicious and fresh. Wine pairing comes along and offers a wide selection of local wines that I was never able to find anywhere else. Salmon tartar is just another level… The best dish I have ever had in my entire life. I recently visited My Green Pastry in Porto and was genuinely impressed. The place has a fresh, welcoming vibe — you immediately feel at ease the moment you walk in. The pastry chef explained the ingredients and the process with genuine enthusiasm, which added to the experience. We tried the flan (a standout!), which was beautifully balanced and full of flavour. The coffee was excellent as well, the visit feel thoughtful and inclusive. Everything is vegan, fully from scratch, and uses local fresh produce — so the quality is clear. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We asked quite a few questions and they answered with patience and warmth, which is always a plus. If you’re in Porto and looking for a dessert-place or café that goes beyond the usual, My Green Pastry is definitely worth a stop. I’ll be going back.

My Green Pastry is one of the places in Porto where I'm the happiest. The incredible tasty and artisanal french pastries are only possible because Marthe is a force on nature that makes everything from scratch. Some cakes take three days to be done, so if you ever go to MGP, please don't ask for pasteis de nata and don't be a Karen about the price, that I'm certain that does not pay the sleepless hours Marthe spends in the kitchen. The atmosphere is another factor I love at MGP. In a city crammed with instagrammable and tacky coffeeshops, this Parisian corner full of *real* plants and romantic furniture really takes back me to the city of love. If you have the chance to meet this gem, don't skip the quiche, the flan, the croissants and the amazing pain au chocolate.

Very cute small backery with many nice glutenfree desserts! She even makes the vegan milk herself! You really see and feel the love the owner puts in her store! The service is also very good and the desserts are very tasty and change from time to time which shows that she makes everything fresh. The prices are also very good for what you get!

Every single bite was so unique and absolutely delicious. The depth and layers of flavor were satiating alone. As a self-proclaimed foodie and flavor critic I am always finding where meals can be “elevated” to be more satisfying - these dishes needed nothing. They were all perfectly balanced in flavor, texture and portion. If I could have pushed a button to rewind and have the meal all over again I would have. The ambiance is cozy and earthy, the service was exceptional, the presentation was art and the chef was visibly focused, pouring love and intention into every dish. 10/10 will definitely be back, can not recommend this place enough!!

Really amazing unique vegetarian food. Totally worth it to come all the way from Porto to get this. The nearby beach is also really nice. I really like how they bring one dish out at a time. It's almost like a build your own tasting menu. My wife and I shared 4 mains + dessert and I think that was the right amount of food to order.

What a great dinner. One of the best vegetarian experiences I had in Portugal so far. Celery root with "oyster" sorbet was an amazing starting point, the katso sando and "seathings" rice elevated it a bit more, and the white chocolate and green curry desert was the perfect finish.

Genuinely vegetarian restaurant that takes creativity seriously. The decor is "green" elegant without trying too hard, and the staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. We came for a family dinner — reservation was simple to make online and definitely recommended. The chef’s vegetarian creations are original and beautifully presented. We shared six dishes among three people, and each one felt like the new favorite. The cold “Beetroot, gorgonzola, black garlic and lamb’s lettuce” set the tone perfectly, while the warm “Açorda of brioche and tupí, turnip tops and wild mushrooms” was unforgettable. The reimagined Black Forest dessert closed the evening on a high note. Yes, prices are on the upper side, but they’re justified by the ingredient quality, the creativity on the plate, and the level of service. Not a place for meat lovers — this is where vegetables take the spotlight. I only wish there were a restaurant like this closer to home. I’d return without hesitation.

Despite the fact that we don't speak Portuguese and the staff did not speak English, we were able to easily point out our desired food and plate size, drinks, and to pay. Very considerate. FOOD: 4.0. If I lived in Porto I would go here everyday Really tasty macrobiotic food for an amazing price, according to macrobiotic philosophy. The dessert with coconut and tapioca was delicious. Staff are helpful and with a good energy. They let us bring the dog in. I love that they have a fountain inside and you hear water while you eat

A vegan restaurant at the back of a bio shop. The main dish is a buffet, you can choose a big or small plate. All the rest is extra, soup, drink and deserts. The place is very small and cozy. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Small tables, better for solos or couples.

We discovered this café by chance — our friend’s cat had run off into the neighbor’s patio, and the café owner and staff were incredibly kind and helpful with the rescue. On top of that, we were delighted to find that the menu is entirely vegan (just like us!), with delicious food at very affordable prices. We ended up coming back several days in a row and will definitely return whenever we’re in the area!

I’ve tried the “Francesinha” and it was really good! The place is very old fashioned but cozy with very particular decoration. The lady the served us is super nice and sweet! The average dish is very affordable, below €6 + drink. The “Francesinha” is about €10 but worth trying! It’s an awesome place and I recommend it for sure.

Had a phenomenal experience at this restaurant. When walk past the restaurant or as soon as you step foot inside, you’ll immediately notice the swings that act as chairs at the front of the restaurant. A real nice touch to the decor and feel of the restaurant. They serve buffet style all you can eat vegan and vegetarian food for €9.95 (dinner). Food is clean and home cooked- the owner of the restaurant is the cook so you know the food is quality. What they serve for the buffet is different daily. Excellent service as well. When I went there for dinner, I had to try the dessert! It was, hands down, the most delicious dessert I’ve probably ever tried- banana, caramel cream pie. You must try it if it’s available! Because the food is clean, you don’t feel guilty for having dessert afterwards. There are also different types of freshly made juices as well. If you’re looking for clean eating without the guilt, come to this place. Highly recommend! I left the restaurant with a huge smile on my face.

We ate at the Cultura dos Sabores in Porto for lunch. It is an interesting vegan/vegetarian restaurant all you can eat, where you can find exquisite specialities of the Veg diet, while enjoying a swing. The price is more than reasonable (something around 12 euro per person, buffet and tea included, water not included): we spent 28€ and we both ate our fill. It is situated a little away from the very center of the city (which is good - less crowded and less cars in the streets) and has 2 floors. The buffet is at the first and we ate there, but we later found out - as people approached the stairs and went up - that the 2nd floor is also available. The menu varies from soup of the day, some warm dishes and many cold dishes, plus cakes, which we didn't eat but that looked very tasty. We tried a little bit of everything (literally) and were absolutely not disappointed. I highly recommend passing by the Cultura dos Sabores (that you are vegetarian/vegan or just curious to try out something different) because the cure of plates and flavors are just delicious. Couldn't wish for anything better.

Hungry!? This restaurant has a big verities of vegan options, all you can eat buffet. Frash , cold and warm . A point to improve is that personally i felt that the staff was a bit pushy and tried to sell also food menu out of the all you can eat - overall great food and good value to your money.

The food is boring compared to many other vegan-friendly restaurants in the city, and it is served in a cafeteria-style cafe that doesn't look very fresh or appealing. It's fine to stop here if in the area, and the price is cheap, but this place is sadly disappointing.

Terrific food, all vegetarian, buffet style. Went for dinner early on a Friday night and we were very happy with the selection. Went back for seconds, then thirds. The tea was also delicious. Highly recommend, even if you aren't vegetarian, you won't leave hungry.

Incredible fusion and balance of flavors. You can have a “menu of the day” for ~13 euros which changes daily. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. I had a salad with tomato and watermelon that was one of the best bites I’ve had all summer. It seems a little bit off the path if you’re visiting Porto, but definitely worth the visit. Amazing place for weekday lunch and Saturday brunch. To me, this is a pretty unique place. Changing the menu every day is a lot of work. I had a wine bar, and the charging menu even seasonally was a really headache. I would say most of the times combinations work. The only recommendation would be to dare more with seasoning and spices.

A different lunch menu with very tasty food and amazing dessert every day, and very nice people. The moqueca was great and the chocolate lava cake to die for. Highly recommended for a simple but filling and delicious lunch.

Though it might not be an absolute must-visit destination, if you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a stop - you won’t regret it. I tried their veggie lasagna and instantly fell in love with it; the taste was simply exceptional. Mafalda’s offers a genuinely enjoyable dining experience that leaves you satisfied and eager to return.

My wife and I have traveled a lot together in Portugal, so when we say that this is probably our favorite place for lunch here in this beautiful country, that might be saying something. Definitely stop by Mafalda's when you are in Porto - and more specifically in the characteristic harbor district of Matosinhos - you will really not regret it. Original recipes, not expensive at all, super healthy and very friendly: everything a person could want.

This is a Hare Krishna food place (a cult of sort). There is no menu- you are served a vegan meal they create. It's tolerable but definitely not appetizing or attractive. No explanation of what you're fed - from what I understood: we had some breaded ball of mushed beans, banana crumble, room temp pasta with some tofu red sauce, purple cabbage, and a poor tasting vegetable soup. Environment feels a bit tense.

No explanation of the menu or what is being given to you. When asked what it was answer was extremely vague. Food arrived and it was unfortunately awful would not return as service and atmosphere were just as bad. We were alone in the restaurant and can see why as food was almost inedible and we had to leave in a hurry!!! A very unique experience hopefully will never be replicated

We visited this restaurant again today (May 2022), and the things has not changed yet. We waited for more than 30 minutes until our main food serve on our table. No need to wear mask to enter to the restaurant. That was our first time to visit vegan restaurant in Porto last month. 1. The location is not really easy to find but with Google Maps it is easier for you. 2. First impression while we were entering the restaurant was so warm and good. The man whom was staying on the cashier table was so kind and friendly. It was in the second floor. He offered us to go to the first floor. 3. They provide hand sanitizer for the visitors to clean our hands. 4. The toilet is near the place where they cook. 5. They have indoor and outdoor table, but outdoor sitting are limited. If it is a good weather, it is worth-trying to stay outside. 6. Do not forget to wear your mask because it is mandatory. 7. In normal day, I think people used to take all the things for eating by themselves. Since the Covid19 pandemic, we just need to choose our place and we wait there. 8. The lady will come to your table and ask about their available menu. 9. The food tasted so good. We liked it. 10. It is affordable price for 3 adults and 1 kid with less than €30 11. Free wifi accessible inside the restaurant. 12. They accept payment in cash or card. Cons: 1. We went there when there was 2 tables with group of people. We were the last time. The lady came to our table after we sit around 20 minutes. Then, she informed us the food that we would like to have was already sold out. Since we have been sitting there for 20 minutes, so we agreed with other things she offered us. So, we were waiting for our order. 2. We saw the lady prepare the food alone and she helped by a young boy to serve the food. They finished the order per table and did not try to deliver something into our table. In 1 table before us, there was 5 people. They served the entrance, main food, and dessert (seemed like did not care about our table). We understood if they were only 2, but at least she could deliver a drink for us. We were waiting more than 30 minutes with nothing. Finally, she gave us our drinks and not the food (after more than 30 minutes). Then, after 15 minutes of our drinks, she served our main food. 3. The outside sitting was not really clean. They could clean better.

We had an amazing experience here with our group of friends, without a reservation we found a place for 11 people, they were super accommodating and friendly to us and they served us a delicious vegan menu!! Would always come back here if we're in Porto again 🥰

One of my favorite stops in Porto for a great vegan/vegetarian experience for Portuguese / Indian with the freshest food I've ever had. Just one amazingly sweet woman making the best francesinha you could get. Accidently stumbled upon this local spot and so grateful we did!

Clean and homely eatery tucked away in a residential sidestreet, complete with approachable cat! Food was delicious and awesome value, had the 6 euro set vegan lunch with soup, main, tea and dessert! Plenty of seats, the first floor offering a panoramic view of the river. Recommend for anyone who visits!

Lunch was bland and unremarkable (dinner menu might be higher quality). It's possible to get much better set lunches for 6€ in the area. However, it is a rare restaurant catering to vegetarians in Porto, it has a pleasant ambience, and the staff are lovely people. Super cute house cat as well.

What a place! WHAT A GEM!! From the warm welcome to the farewell “see you again very soon” hug our visit was a delight. Great food, fantastic service and amazing value for money. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic veganised Portuguese food - their passion and love for Portugal is clearly shown in their food and customer service. 3 course meal with 2 drinks for 12 euro each! Delicious vegan Portuguese food with a different dishes every day, we tried 4 different mains over 2 days and they were all amazing. The desserts were all great too. Definitely worth having lunch here even if you're not vegan

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Lupin Snack Bar. The service was excellent - we went on a Saturday and it was busy. But, the waitress took the time to walk us through the menu and explained each item in English (which we greatly appreciated). I always love finding little vegan places and this place had all home made Portuguese cuisine which anyone will enjoy! It's a hidden gem! :)

Absolutely amazing! Gorgeous vegan food and unbelievably cheap. We had the set menu of soup, main ( two options), drink incl. beer or fresh juice and coffee for €10!! We also added delicious deserts. Would so recommend and the people who run it are so friendly and very kindly explained everything to us in English. Remember to take cash if you don’t use MB pay for tipping- we are sorry to not have had more cash for this.

Lupin Snack Bar is the most authentic, honest and friendly vegan place in Porto! Even as a non-vegan, you will have amazing food and a good time. The food is super delicious, healthy, homemade-style and the prices are honest (and low). It is NOT another vegan place where you find burgers and chicken nuggets for crazy high prices. The best thing about the place however is the owner, Andreia. She is so kind, will welcome you in the most loving way and make you feel home in the restaurant. Come here if you’re looking for kindness and homemade food that tastes really authentic and is not pretentious. I am not familiar with Portuguese kitchen, so I can’t compare the dishes to traditional recipes, but everything we had tasted like it was home made, genuine food. We didn’t have much choice because when we arrived most dishes were gone, so we went for the salad, tofu with onions and traditional Portuguese soup with beans. We also tried a pastel de nata (which I loved but o can’t compare with the traditional recipe) and chocolate salami. BRING CASH 💰 They don’t accept cards

I came for lunch and got the set menu. Everything was delicious and included tofu/beans/chorizo for protein options. As well, they are super nice! English speaking host explained the options. Highly recommend! Btw it is located at the back of an indoor shopping plaza.

This is a small take-away only sushi spot with s decent menu. I must say, everything was fresh and tasty- no big issues with them. Just basic and clean and worth it in a pinch. Not super excellent but really quite good. We brought it back to the hotel we were staying in just down the street. I’d go again if I stay in the neighborhood.

I ordered delivery, worst sushi experience I've had. Expensive, food is different from the picture, ordered the veg roll and the avocado is so tiny and only in some of the rolls, most of the fillings are cheap cucumbers. Teriyaki sauce is so sticky and salty, not sweet at all, we could barely dip in it. Chef please learn what teriyaki is before making it. This place is just not worth the money. Never again.

Some of the kindest people and best service. The lady at the counter was Very friendly and open to tourists. She took the time to suggest drinks on the menu that would suit our preference. Made everything fresh and everything tasted great.

Only 2 stars since as you may know no one actually needs to detox. Unless you've been poisoned, we already have a super-efficient system for filtering out most of the harmful substances we eat. It's made up of two toxin-bashing organs: the liver and the kidneys.
