Great atmosphere, very friendly bartenders, and excellent service. The only negative I have to say is the attitude of the security guards; they're very rude. When you arrive, some are very nice, but when it's time to leave, they don't even wait two minutes; they're just plain out of the way and have attitude. But otherwise, it's very good. The drinks came to $9.50, which isn't too bad. And they were very well prepared.

I’ve heard so many great things about this establishment from my friend so I wanted to go check it out. I get there with my friend and they completely deny his entry at first because he had an outside drink. The security told him to finish it or throw it away which he did and then we tried to head back they stopped us and completely denied us entry for no reason and when I asked for the reason why we cannot enter, they were very disrespectful and said that they’ve already told us, I tried explaining to them that we don’t have any outside drinks because you requested us to throw them away or drink them, but one of the male security guards would not listen to me. He kept cutting me off and telling them to refuse entry for us and to ignore us because we’re just trying to start a fight. I don’t know what was his problem was, but we were there well before the time they stop letting people in because they were letting everyone else and other than me and my partner. I was just there to have a good time. I definitely think the security needs to be retrain or reevaluated because they were completely disrespectful and rude for no reason.

I went in the dead of winter with my friends. I paid to have my coat checked. We had lots of fun and the vibes were good. However, when we were leaving, we discovered that the person doing coat check was clearly not actually checking tags. They lost my coat. When it became clear that there was a problem, the coat checker pretended that she had actually been checking tags the whole time, which pissed me off.
The manager was kind and helpful, and eventually compensated me for part of what was lost, but I had to walk around Providence in January in a thin sweatshirt. Less than ideal.

Went to this club last night with a friend, and the staff completely messed up our night. They gave me a wristband at the door but not my friend, even though we both showed ID. About an hour later, a security guard rudely snatched my friend’s drink and tried to kick him out because he didn’t have a wristband — which was their mistake, not his.
When he went to show his ID again, they even denied seeing him come in, which made no sense. The manager eventually gave him a wristband, but the whole situation was handled so poorly and unprofessionally. The staff clearly needs better training and communication.

Tonight a group of friends and I had come to ego trying to escape an event at the dancing cats, which we had already paid 20$ per ticket. We were willing to spend extra money to come to ego. As we arrived one of our friends forgot that she had a nip / small shot on her person and instead of wasting it she drank it really quick and threw it out. (Previously we had done this before at ego, one time even when security had seen a buzzball one of us had and we got rid of it/ drank it then we were allowed in.) Tonight however, this absolute asshole of a security guard with the bald head and the beard stopped us right as we walked up to present our IDs telling my friend who finished the nip that she was "too drunk" and that she "had one too many to drink" I was honestly stunned because previously the event we left, we had been there for 10 minutes and didnt drink because they charged 34$ + for drinks so we walked 20 minutes to ego looking for a fun end to the night and cheaper drinks. We were obviously confused and questioned why but he kept going on to my friend insiting that she was drunk and had "too many" which she hadn't. Overall just a disrespectful interaction. Its one thing to say "hey we cant let you in since you just drank an ourside drink" but to be an asshole and just insist that she's incoherently drunk? Especially the way he was talking to a woman? Disgusting behavior and totally ruined the chill vibe we thought ego had. If that wasn't enough as we were on the side trying to process all of this a group of girls came out after being kicked out for supposedly just tripping inside the bar. Overall ive been to ego for multiple events since I was 19. You allow people to bring joints and weed into the smoke room etc, but someone cant pre game outside the bar? Yall piss me off!!

What a weekend job and a black shirt does to inflate a security guards ego is insane. I see why the club is named that because most of the security team is on a power trip.
Judging by other reviews this isn’t just a unique experience but I’ve had a drink ripped from my hands and thrown away because I let a friend hold it. We left soon after. I felt like eyes were all on us the entire rest of our stay because I let my friend hold my drink to take a photo.
The bartenders are so sweet and complimented us and made a pretty dang good mixed drink! Yet I couldn’t even taste it for very long as it ended up in the trash. Physically grabbing it out of someone’s hand is crossing the line.
You work security at a queer night club. Get over yourselves.

Bartender is amazing and the service is that of a classy speakeasy. Reminds me of Yvonne's in Boston but more boutique and harder to find but well worth the effort.
Seafood is literally brought in fresh that morning, if they have a special ceviche definitely get that. You won't be disappointed. Menu is small but all the items are delicious, and pear really well with the entire wine list and cocktail menu.
And if you don't see something on the menu in terms of drinks that you like, the bartender is very skilled to make something off menu.

Order the Mother Teresa (mezcal cocktail) and you won't regret it. Service was absolutely outstanding. The servers will help you guide you to one of their cocktails if you aren't sure. Went and saw a jazz performance last night. All the musicians were super talented and there was a lot of different people that would switch out between songs, it's really cool to see the sense of community through music at jazz shows. After there was karaoke, it takes place the first Saturday of every month. The mcs were great and we had so much fun. Highly recommend this place. They play old movies on the TVs with is cool too and the bartender was good 👍🏻

I went to this place for my very first experience at a club. It was fine. The music gave prom. It was danceable, but mediocre. There’s two bars and people were definitely drunk around the place so at least that’s okay 😭 the bouncer at the front had a weird energy to him…which is echoed in a lot of the other reviews as well. Not that big a deal tho. The crowd was definitely just youngins but a few overgrown creeps that DEFINITELY needed to get up out of there 😭 could’ve just been for this particular night. Where to begin…
We visited from out of state looking to see the LGBTQ nightlife in Rhode Island. Between the horrible service and very poorly made cocktails…the atmosphere overall leaves little to be desired.
We later found out a themed event/party was being held by the bar itself, but it didn’t seem that anyone was really taking that too seriously. (Not that it really matters, I guess)
The staff wasn’t very welcoming and mainly focused their attention to the clear regulars at this bar. Having regular patrons is never a bad thing, but perhaps some more focus on making everyone feel welcome is what makes establishments like these feel truly inclusive as they’re intended to be. It took us about half an hour to get a second drink and there were maybe 7 people total in the bar including the two of us.
Furthermore…poor ethics and etiquette didn’t go unnoticed either as the bartenders were taking shots while working and perpetuating the unwelcome feeling we experienced. This may have perhaps been why the cocktails we had were quite disgusting. Can’t imagine anyone could properly pour a drink if they themselves are trashed.
We hope this review can serve as a learning opportunity for the staff and management. Not everyone expects you to hang the moon…but a little more effort in making a clean, safe, and welcoming environment wouldn’t be asking too much.

This place has strong drinks! The music here is more queer pop/hip-hop, and the pool table costs but tends to be super friendly, not to mention the good space around it. The staff here have been low-key in a welcoming way.
There are two bathrooms. The ladies' bathroom has two smaller stalls, one large stall and two sinks, with a giant mirror on wall opposite the sinks. The men's bathroom has two urinals, a large stall and three sinks with a similar mirror. There is a barrier between the urinals and the sinks, so more privacy and less glances, if that's a concern. All genders seem to use both bathrooms, which is fine. Bathrooms are near the bar, so staff is near-by.
The patio is a couple of tables on the sidewalk along the building, and maybe a half a dozen chairs.
Thursday night karaoke with a contest for a partially paid bar-tab! This place has way more dance floor than some other queer bars, and also has more casual seating, too. There is decent lighting in the main area and club lighting on the dance floor.

They were refusing to let people back in even to find their friends / get their things. Then you head inside a hotel, take the elevator & when the door opens it’s like you’re in a different world. We rode the elevator with a worker who was going down and asked if it was ok to ride down then up which of course and they were so pleasant. Once we got off the elevator the hosting staff was equally pleasant and accommodating because it was a last minute thing so I didn’t make a reservation.

Food is ordered at the bar and you're given a buzzer to retrieve it yourself.

EDM NIGHT WAS TRASH. Generic club music more like it. Out of touch with the actual EDM community. Bring earplugs as they have no clue what they are doing in terms of sound quality. Another day, another chance for more tacos with the RI Food Fight's TacoMania. This time we started with Diego's. As it was a Saturday, no tables were available from reservations but we were able to grab a seat at the bar.
The space is open, dark. A blend of Mexican homage and industrial brick. An open kitchen gives you the chance to watch your meal be prepared in full view.
Our bartender, Greer was super friendly and balanced attentiveness. She is detail oriented and was very accommodating. She quickly took care of our drinks and got our food order in ASAP.
They offered a limited menu for TacoMania and I chose the carne option. It came out in a crunchy blue corn tortilla. After a squeeze of lime, I dug in. The crunch was everything you wanted it to be and more. The beef with queso fundido made this a slight messy but overall delicious taco.
We got the cornbread souffle to share and it was outstanding. The souffle itself was savory and very corn forward, as opposed to the sweeter cornbread you see in the south. They add a touch of something sweet to balance it out.
My friend had the shrimp chimichirri tacos and they said they were a 10/10.
So glad to find another tasty spot in the TacoMania trail!

A great experience overall! The service and the atmosphere I thought was awesome! The food was really good and the reason I rated the food 4 stars and not 5 is price and portions. I ordered the pulled pork chimichanga. Which overall was very good but I was still kind of left hungry and for $22 that's all you got on the plate. girlfriend and i decided to give diego’s a go based upon a friends recommendation. sadly, it missed most marks. Richard L, our server, from the beginning seemed to fumble. Took about 20 min for him to come over, clear plates but never bring water for our empty cups. we ordered cocktails, the death proof is what i chose and it was the best part of the meal, and my gf said the same about her drink. after our drinks were brought out , we ordered food and and asked politely if water could be brought to the table….once again Rich seemed to forget all about that. the shrimp empanadas finally arrive and at this point he finally says how he forgot to bring us waters. no big deal , i resume and ask about the margarita specials that i read go on during trivia , which we were present for . Condescendingly so, he calls it the “el cheapo” which i personally had to ask if he was being funny or was it the actual name and i guess the owners own tone death attitudes may find that funny?! because surely enough that’s what they label it as on the menu ….not sure…regardless he did not know the flavors and made me feel stupid for even considering , i still ordered one 🤷🏽♂️. i got the burrito with beef birria and my girl got fajitas with the chipotle chicken. food was overly salty , beef birria looked as dry as dog food and served cold…no love or passion to this food , on top of super small portions for the price. all in all, the place was cute, the drinks were good but at the price of everything, you’d expect them to be, but sadly the service and the food all left a lot more to be desired. spent 100 dollars for two people and left quite underwhelmed. with a few tweaks , and a little more love and culture into the food and how it all is presented , it would and could make a night and day difference. best of luck but not sure if i’d return with so many more amazing options in our little city of providence

Tried a few different taco places this month and Diego’s was the best! They season their homemade chips with salt and spices which totally makes them stand out! Their food is their own and VERY flavorful. This place was not in the best area of Providence but it was a nice little deli. We had the vegan chkn parm sandwich and it was delicious. They have outdoor seating available and the employee working was very nice. I wish they had some non dairy milk options since they served coffee. Stopped by Bodega on Smith St. In Providence. Had the itilian grinder, the grinder was good, but there was some room for improvement. (I noticed a Boarshead sign that may have something to do with it) No hot cap, no hot pepers, and chopped lettuce. Also, the bread could have been fresher as well.
The young lady behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. There was plenty of street parking, and they have a small lot in the back.
This place has a good vibe to it. You can sit and watch the people and the cars go by. There is also an outside dining area you can enjoy at the rear of the building.
Bodega is worthy of a visit.
I witnessed a meatball sub being crafted during my visit. It looked delicious. That will be next up.

GREAT! I love when a place is comfortable. Several nice couches inside. Highly recommend. The bar area is perfect for dates; nice and romantic; good place to have a conversation.
They even have Spaghetti dinner on Wednesday nights where they turn off the regular lights and make it romantic lighting in there. I already can’t wait to go back. They have a ton of vegan items and gluten free too!
As for the bodega side of it; they have all the little essentials that you need from like a corner store. Cleaning products, beverages, mouthwash and fun snacks like chicharron.
My favorite part is the couches though. I love comfortable seating 💕✨

The Bodega has something for vegans and non vegans (aka meat eaters ) to enjoy. I tried a vegan Cubano sandwich the first time we visited the place, and a Reuben vegan this time...loved them! The coffee is very good as well. They also have the "normal" version of those sandwiches. The Bodega is not a fully vegan restaurant, in fact it is a mix of convenience store with tables and a great atmosphere and friendly staff; this is a great place to come with your non-vegan relatives/friends (we all know someone like that, oh well 😄) for breakfast or lunch.

Came here for RI Food Fights and I chose their Cubano sandwich. It didn’t live up to my expectations as I was surprised it lacked flavor.
They had a twist to a normal Cubano by having the main meat pulled pork, but it didn’t work. The pork has zero flavor and was dry. It wasn’t like a classic BBQ joint’s pulled pork.
The ham was good but there was barely any - wish there was more of it. It needed more mustard as well.
The ingredients were fresh and mostly homemade. The bread was pretty good also.

I love this place, I usually come here because there’s no cover charge and I enjoy the option of an upstairs and downstairs. A few arcade games which is cool and they have a coat check. Downstairs is almost basement like and usually a good DJ and music with a fire beat to get down to. My only critique I had after coming here this past weekend, is the music upstairs could be turned down so people sitting and not dancing downstairs can have conversations! My wife and I went to ultra last night for the first and last time. Everything started off as expected, until we arrived at the metal detector were everything become questionable. When we first came in we were asked to pay the cover and also to check our belongings in. I had a jacket and a hat on but I was allowed to keep my jacket but I had to check my hat in. This place is horrible! They make you check your camera in at the door, and then can't find it when you go back to get it. They make up excuses about how someone mustve picked it up already (when i obviously have my ticket still). It's obvious that the employees steal the left over checked in items or just hand them out to whoever feels like going to go pick one up. Then when i went to talk to the managers they made me call back for 3-4 consecutive weeks with it ending in the employee (named Frank) cursing at me and being very rude and sarcastic. doors typically open at 8pm, the performer didn’t come on until god knows when (definitely not before 1am) because we had to leave since it was so incomprehensibly HOT; there were several fans placed around the establishment and none of them were on. no re-entry, but i did see some people were able to leave and come back so it’s unknown whether you can bribe them to let you back in or if they have an even more special VIP ticket that allows it so the regular attendees cannot just pop outside for a breathe of very much needed fresh air or even to cool off for a second. they don’t tell you as VIP you have to buy a bottle (poor and limited selection, should add some champagnes or wines or literally anything other than tequila and hard liquors), and they give you the tiniest amount of cranberry juice with the bottle at the table. that could just be me though as clearly i’ve never been VIP at an event. the bar actually ran out of water at 10:30pm. couldn’t even figure out how to get into the bathroom line, it seemed like it never moved. i tried to stand by the entry so that i might catch a gentle breeze every time the door opened, but the security kept pushing people away from the door. understandable for safety reasons, but the major safety issue here is the fact that it was easily 120° in there the entire time. everyone, and i mean EVERYONE was sweating like it was the world’s biggest sauna, and loads of people left before the headlining performer even came out. after every opener, they kept asking the crowd if we were ready for the headliner to come on in ten minutes. hours went by; i only went to see the headliner, and didn’t get the chance to because i was going to either pass out or projectile vomit everywhere due to extreme heat stress. i can only recommend that if attending a special event, you show up literally as late as possible for the best chances at actually seeing the performer and not dying. aside from this being a highly anticipated and majorly disappointing experience: the bartenders, bottle girls, security and staff members were super nice and friendly and definitely made us feel special. would only attend another event here if they open some windows and turn on the fans or blast the AC at like 50° because for the sheer number of people in the facility it was simply too hot. i cannot describe the temperature other than one of the outer rings of hell. also, there was a duck?

A duck was there as entertainment which in those conditions is literal animal abuse. So dark. A nightmare

sheesh, I should have read the reviews before I went here👀. Hella smokey in there. I was charged $320 for a bottle with 2 mini 8oz cans of pineapple juice lol. I asked for more and they was going to charge me extra lol..No appetizers or food menu. The bottle took over 25min to come out. This security guard needs to get fired. I don’t even think I should even say much more, this woman is so cruel, I feel violated when she searches me she really forces it. She’s very aggressive and has thrown people off the stage when they’re peacefully making their way down idk if anyone’s gotten injured but I almost busted my ass because of her.whenever someone tells her to stop doing too much, she kicks them out for standing up to her. she has even tried to fight some of the people in the club. Super violent and there’s no water. all my friends and family stopped coming here because of her, horrible experience the 6 times we have been, we drive an hour and 10 mins to get there too and we live in Mass so that’s just a waste of gas. I don’t recommend going there.

The flyer said to come early, so we arrived on time—only to wait in line for 2 hrs… Once in, it was sweltering hot —no A/C or fan, everyone drenched in sweat, and the entire place filled with smoke.
