It’s the cutest spot right in Brownes. We sat on their delightful patio and ended up being the only people out there after the other tables left since we had a later reservation. We got the seared octopus, braised rabbit with goat cheese ravioli and carrot butter sauce, and rack of lamb with goat cheese stuffed tomatoes and garlic cream sauce. Everything was superb. The food was delicious, and most everthing you would expect from an expertly crafted tasting menu. The drinks were delicious, we ordered the Cola Old Fashion and The Crosby. Both fantastic. Each dish was portioned well, with a wide variety of flavors and cuisines, ranging from Asian, to French, seafood to artisan bread, and everything in between. Very pleased with the strategy order eash dish and course was served, that ultimately did a great job exploring and connecting all major taste palettes. In a very close decision, our favorite dish was the roasted duck with peppers and corn. Only minor feedback is that we noticed halved cherry tomatoes were used in two seperate dishes with no clear progression or transformation (that we could perceive). Service, albeit very friendly and professional, was wanting... There were instances where some of our requests were repeatedly forgotten. We had ordered a second Cola Old Fashion, and it took more than a few occurrences of "So sorry, we'll get that going right away" before finally receiving it. I had also requested ice for my glass of water, and that also took several attempts before finally receiving it. Perhaps the biggest feedback was the lack of knowledge and confidence. It was a recurring theme that many of the staff who were bringing out our plates were actually unaware of what was on the plate, or how it was cooked, etc. As the plate(s) was being set, the servers would often stumble across their words as they struggled to recall exactly what the dish was, what was in it, how it was cooked, or be able to answer some fairly easy questions about it. My only small minor feedback was that our table, and consequently my seat, was just a touch too close to the shelf against the window with the lit candles on it. The steak was properly prepared at medium rare but a bit more medium on the ends due to the charred edges. Not a fan of crispy onions that came on top of the steak. Personally, I want to enjoy the meat w/o any sauce or toppings. However, a variety of topping add-ons are available to please any pallet. The crab cakes were some of the best, not ground or greasy! We were starving and hoped the wait was worth it. I used Google's online reservation system, which was really simple and easy. First off, this place is very hard to find. When you do find it, expect to see a misleading sign that makes you think you are not at the restaurant, but you are. it tells you to go to the 3rd floor to eat at the cafe. The two girls at the front desk were both on their phones texting when we walked up. We asked how to get to the restaurant, and they said the sign is confusing this is the restaurant. We make our selection order and pay for the food, they do this so the meal is paid for because its horrible food and they know you wont want to pay after you see it also they ask for there tip when you order aswell so despite there horrible service they still got a good tip, its was like we were rewarding bad behavior as a server. I wouldn't mind giving a good tip to a deserving server. So, while we wait, the waitress pulls away from her phone to bring us water. Then she goes right back to her phone. This place is a joke!!!! We get our food. Mine is a salad called green goodness. Let me say there was no goodness to this salad. How can you mess this up. Every veggie was pickled except the spinach. The hard-boiled eggs were really old and looked really green and smelled bad. It was soggy and sour. I couldn't eat it. I was worried I would get sick from old food. My husband's meal was just as bad. he had a salad and a beyond burger. How can you go wrong? This salad was soggy and sour, too. And the burger, he said, no pickles, and they brought a completely plain cheese burger it had just beyond meat and cheese, nothing else, and the cheese was that fake stuff that looked like plastic. This is great. We're starving. We just got done attending the funeral of a friend who was in a tragic car accident. So the day continued to get worse for us. Shame on those who falsely give reviews. I would have preferred the peaches were skipped or replaced with a ripe fruit. The carrots were served in a massive portion. This dish was also lacking some acid and a sauce , even EVOO would have helped it feel less dry. The nut and cheese topping tasted great, but added to the dryness of the overall dish. The risotto was great! Prawns cooked well and the sauces were lovely. Again, a large portion size. The pasta had great flavor and texture. Although my husband was left feeling a bit sick to his stomach after we left (and this was the dish he primarily ate). This may be unrelated, however it’s the only difference in our meals so I think it may have been the culprit.

I saw the ube ice cream and vegetarian options and decided to go. I'm glad I did, the teriyaki tofu was very good. I don't mind waiting for good food but this was so terrible I won't be back.

Located in the Historic Davenport Hotel, the brunch is served in the Isabella Ballroom and the fireside lobby area. The tables are beautifully set with white linen, china and glassware. The fireside is a more comfortable area in my opinion. The food is plentiful and kept well stocked. Some items change weekly, but the staple that you have to have are the Prime Grade Prime Rib, the Wild Caught Gulf Coast shrimp and the made to order crepes. Service is attentive, the brunch comes with Mimosas and Champagne. Terry makes a great Bloody Mary (this is $10 extra) and the ambiance is old world elegant.
