We tried one of the signature lattes as well as an oatmilk latte. Also tried some of the pastries. I can say that the biscuit they used for the southern breakfast Sammy was PERFECT. But, not going to lie… the barista’s today were not on their game. The gentleman who took our order seemed checked out, and after waiting awhile for my drink, I went up to the counter because both baristas (both guys on bar) were standing around talking. I asked about my drink and they said they completely forgot about it… It wasn’t busy by any means… I’ve been a barista for 15 years… it’s not that complicated. They served several customer’s their drinks who ordered after me before me. I also wanted to note that my 12oz “chaider” with no modifications was over $8 after tax…. I’m not sure if it was rung up incorrectly or what…. but I think i’ll just stick to ordering my beans online from now on. I also ordered a cake pop for my little guy and the guy taking our order only remembered it because I reminded him. After he handed it to us, we realized it had been squished… I don’t know what happened today, but it was a frustrating experience. Gave 2 stars because I like their coffee beans… too bad their in cafe experience was such a negative one today. Willing to update my review if things are corrected and made right. Just did a google search and saw the shop. They were my 2nd stop of the morning. Parking is limited as is the menu for breakfast pastries. I see cinnamon rolls and get 1 to go. Over $7.00 very disappointed the roll was not freshly made. When I tapped it with a fork it made that stale bread tapping sound. When I tried a bite it was hard not soft but more like a day or 2 old. Ok sometimes bread products can dry around the cut edges quickly so I tapped the roll through the frosting it was still dry. So from that point on if I went in to grab a drink and he was working I would just get my husband his usualy cold brew and just opt for nothing. Fast forward to yesterday..... November first. My husband goes in and grabs our familys normal. Himself a cold brew, our girls hot coco, and myself a pumkin spice latte. He gets home.... my coffee was HALF FULL!!!!! That man over frothed the milk again and the result was at most a coffee half full of actual liquid. AND there was zero flavor. I had steamed milk and espresso, that was it! I am livid, idk why this man still works here. I can not be the only person Wade messes up on. I am at the end of my rope and unfortunately may have offically written off what use to be the best coffee shop in Spokane.

The rhubarb wasn't tart at all, giving it a real subtle taste. Possibly could have used too much sugar to cut the tartness. The custard and crust part wasn't bad. I could taste the nutmeg and cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. The blueberry cheesecake tart had great flavor. It wasn't too cheesy nor sugary. Preferably, I wished it had a bit more blueberry topping. The crust was interesting--it was good and I think it had nuts, oatmeal, and coconut mixed into it. My friend said his lemon tart was really good but that the winner was the chocolate chip cookie. First of all I came in on Sunday morning around 630am and there was no customers there, which was nice. But I'll come back to that. So I went and got ice, water, and breakfast for the kids and drove back to our hotel. By the time I got home I had coffee spilled on our new leather seats because the coffee lid was leaking. Not because it wasn't on tight but because there was coffee all up in under the lid. I opened it, used McDonald's napkins to clean the mess and put the lid back on. By the time I got to the room the cup was leaking again--same problem. So the coffee tasted great and she was happy with it but the cup thing was just ridiculous. If you're in the coffee stand business you gotta have the right stuff to make a good product, and leaky cups or lids that are flimsy and don't fit right.. sorry that ain't cutting it. Probably try a different coffee stand next time.

I'm also new to the area and when I found this place online I just knew I had to go with my mom when we had the chance. I can't speak to the food aspect as I have dietary restrictions but the cat part (the most important part in my opinion) was fantastic. They had a great selection of personality types that made it both enjoyable and easy to stay engaged the whole time. I love that they offer time slots for adults vs adults with kids as some other ones we've been to are always a mix which often gets chaotic for both the cats and myself. The gentleman who was supervising our session was incredible at monitoring the cats while also cleaning the entire time, something I really appreciate as I know it gives the cats a great start and prevents issues that may keep the cats from getting adopted. The other thing I absolutely love is that they have an option to make a donation to help senior, disabled, and special needs cats so they have a fair chance. As someone who loves this demographic of cats and seeks them out, I truly appreciate that they're looking out for them as well. Overall my mom and I really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again to support such a great cause and get some cuddles!
