The staff were fantastic and the facility has a lot to offer. The biggest issue was how crowded and chaotic the pools were. There were so many unsupervised children that it actually created safety risks, and I had to keep my own kids out of certain areas because of the chaos. At one point they had to shut down the diving board and redirect lifeguards to the main pool just to keep things safe. That isn’t on the staff — they were doing everything they could — but it’s definitely something the centre needs to manage better, whether through capacity limits or enforcing supervision. The water also felt dirty and gritty at times, which isn’t surprising with that many people, but still not ideal. The change rooms also need more frequent cleaning. Someone let their child eat inside, and there was food all over the floor. Walking through that was… not great. As for the slides: fun idea, rough execution. You can feel every single ring on the way down, and it digs right into your back. Definitely not the most comfortable ride. I’d return because my kids enjoyed it, but I really hope they address the overcrowding, cleaning, and slide maintenance. I understand that the parent and tot lessons are very simplistic by nature, but with the price of these lessons I expected a better experience and a better instructor. The lifeguard on duty was incredibly rude. On our first day, we were quite early, so we stood on the pool deck for 10 minutes waiting for our lessons. In that time I was approached by the lifeguard and told to shower, which I had already done as I was obviously dripping wet. Clearly I was waiting for lessons (as that was the only thing happening at the pool at the time). When it came time for lessons to start, no one greeted me or asked which lesson we were in. I noticed an instructor and one baby in the water so went to join them. Their mission is great, front staff is great, their instructors are great, the facilities are decent. However, our enjoyment is being impacted by the twerpy lifeguard staff frequently enforcing arbitrary "rules" (which aren't posted on their large and obvious rule boards).
