I would recommend this place to anyone and I can’t wait to go back for more..

Not somewhere I would travel to go but if you’re in the area not a bad choice. The garlic bread was tasty, flavourful and crunchy. The chicken Schnitzel had a nice crunch however was pretty average, chips were good if you can tolerate enough salt to kill a family of 7 (i can 💪). Service was also average, with some customer service unable to fault, unfortunately there were some that we felt were inattentive and visibly didn’t want to be there. I walked in and was absolutely freezing. We ordered the porterhouse with Charred broccoli and roast potatoes with accompanying salads including broccoli and fennel salad and a green salad . The steak was beautifully charred and had very little fat which you would normally cut off. It was just a top cut of meat. Everything was perfectly done. When seated by the lovely host Mia, she gave us well as the ability to change a lot of dishes to satisfy my vegan preference, which I really appreciated. I did not plan to eat at place like this and had my reservations about dining here considering the cost of the food. I was intrigued and decided to make reservations for Friday dinner. I did not regret it. On quiet little Gresham Street lies a hidden gem of a bar and venue. +1⭐️ for the welcome. The steak was fresh and beautifully cooked that it didn’t require a lot of seasoning. I did ask for a side of French mustard as it’s how I love having my steak - neat with a bit of mustard. +1⭐️ The vibe of the bar/restaurant is perfect - it has enough energy but it’s not overly noisy. The choice of music kept the vibe going without being too loud. Two down sides: The waitress that served us could not remember our drinks order but the place puts you in a good mood and she was lovely enough that it didn’t matter. When I ordered the “Steak Frites” she asked me if I wanted it with “fries” - I think she might be new and not quite familiar with French culture. I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from the board. I chose it as it was from McLaren Vale - I cannot recall the winery and don’t care to as the wine had a terrible after-taste akin to a wet rag. It did not improve with food either. The Merlot that was available by the glass from Bordeaux was better suited and berry-driven. I think that the owners can have a review of the red wine selection as there are better wines locally at the similar price point. I highly recommend this place for a great night out with friends. It is such a well presented restaurant. Having been to the Barangaroo restaurant in Sydney, we had to try the Adelaide location and it did not disappoint. Have been back several times since. The staff are incredibly attentive and kind, the meals are prepared efficiently and the food quality is wonderful. Some of the dishes that we've enjoyed in our visits are the garlic bread, bruschetta, beef steak, portuguese chicken skewers, angas beef skewers, hot chips and the house salad. It isn't cheap but you absolutely get what you pay for. It's well worth the price. The atmosphere and presentation of the restaurant is wonderful, it's so well designed, visually pleasing and there's a great amount of seating. Nothing bad, but nothing stand out, everything was just 'good', without a single stellar dish that I'd confidently say I'd want to have again. Service was next level. I encountered maybe 6 or 7 different wait staff through the evening, and all of them were well presented, attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was also excellent, in the middle of the gardens, quiet seating environment, there are people around but you feel alone/intimate at your table. Also worth noting the dinner takes about 3 hours. It never felt slow or rushed, but just something I thought should be mentioned. I don't regret the dinner, but for the price point, I wish I walked away saying "I can't wait to go again next season", which is not the case.

Please make a booking for this place. While they seem to accept walk ins, there is a long wait time. We watched 3 families enter and then leave dissapointed while we were waiting at an outside table for our food. One had a child who was all dressed up on theme so it was really heartbreaking to see. If you want to go here for the decor/photos/funky food I dont really think you'll be their target audience. They advertise themselves as a family friendly restaurant and it appears they do a lot of functions. When we arrived at opening time it was empty and we went to take a seat but were promptly asked if we had a booking. When we said no we were told we could only sit outside or wait until 2pm. The staff member was pretty cold about it. Perhaps some signage as to how important bookings are on the front door or on social media would help future patrons and staff in future avoid these kind of interactions and dissapointments. Since we had made the trip down just to see this place we decided to stay and eat outside. I found out about the place from a post on instagram. Luckily it was a nice day. The seating isn't particularly comfy or cozy but what can you really expect for outdoor furniture I guess. They were painted to fit the vibe though. Before we were booted outside I did take note of the decor inside and its very bright and colorful. Looks like there are activities for kids and they had some game you could win a prize for at the front counter. Also looked to have a retail store as well for candy and such. Would've loved to see more but alas no booking so we weren't really welcome inside. Our food took a while to come out but the staff that served us were very apologetic. I will say the food was the highlight of the experience. They had some deals on the menu that werent currently available but the pricing was decent. The frozen slushie drinks are delicious. Loved the gummy candy that came with it. The milkshakes also good. Would love to see mocktail options for the more flamboyant cocktails, some come with whole icecreams and such with them (not everyone drinks alcohol) I guess because of the milkshakes and slushies they didn't think it necessary to include. Who knows really. The burgers and toasties were great. Lastly I do not believe we were the target demographic for this place but I'd be keen to come back with a booking next time to experience the place in all its glory.

This was my first visit so had no idea of the layout of the place or the different areas on offer. All the tables had Reserved signs on them which I found interesting. He told us that we only could use the tables for an hour as they needed to be ready for dinner guests. We would have liked to have some kind of snack with our drinks (like chips) but were told they had nothing and the kitchen was closed till 5.30pm.
