She was unprofessional, disrespectful and inconsiderate. She broke rules walking away with a customers personal identification in her hand. There was no reason for her to do that. She could screenshot it and/or make a purchase. I had been waited on by her before and after checking out and being fitted for alterations I received 6 notifications that my alternation was ready for pickup for three weeks. I picked up the pants I had altered the next day. So I am done with the Nordstrom at Mayfair. I will be a new faithful client at Nordstrom on Michigan Ave. from now on. It's a shame. I found a manager but he didn't seem to be compassionate at all. I don't want to play the race card but myself and the salesperson and manager are all persons of color. I rly wanted the shirt so i checked the site again and saw they had a 2x in stock still and asked if they could just send that out and they agreed. so fast forward a week or so and it's out for delivery. i open the package and the $120 shirt has a grease stain on it and some sort of white residue in different parts of the shirt so i immediately emailed customer service and sent pics. after a few days they got back to me saying they'd give me a shipping label to send it back and once they received the item they would ship out another shirt but when i checked on the site it said the 2x was sold out so i responded to them asking if i could bring the shirt to the store instead of shipping it to speed up the process and also ask them if they actually had the shirt in a 2x since the website said they didn't to which i got a response that said 'absolutely'....? so i drove down to the store, explained the situation and big shock when the person working at the register checked to see if they had the shirt in a 2x they didn't have any. so i asked what are my options? the person working the register (who was super sweet and nice) called someone, possibly the owner? to ask what can be done and apparently the person on the phone said all they can offer me is a refund. like i said i really wanted the shirt so i told him that and he just said u can keep the shirt or get a refund. i wasn't offered any sort of compensation not even like a little discount on a future purchase or anything. like i can't get 20% off a t-shirt next time or nothing? so basically i paid $120 for a grease stained shirt and wasted my time and gas. i love to support small businesses in the city and was really excited to get my first UL piece so it's really disappointing to be treated like that. just kind of not a great business practice over all. when ur charging as much as y'all are, which like rightfully so bc the clothes are really high quality btw, i expect just a little more and better customer service :/ ***UPDATE*** A couple days after this happened someone from the shop contacted me and apologized for the experience and said they actually did set aside a shirt for me and thought they had communicated more than just "absolutely" before i went there.
