Our tour driver recommended a visit & since we were ahead of schedule, we dropped in with no notion of what to expect. The building is beautiful, but the exquisite frescos covering the walls & ceiling were the high point. Had chicken ghee roast, pomfret masala, silver fish( Bolenjir in local Tulu language) deep fry& rawa fry & paneer tikka. Ghee roast chicken was a little hard not soft at all , spicy but tasty..Pomfret was so soft & flavoured. Paneer Tikka is mast masth👌👌.Silver fish( small bolanjir fish) is properly rawa fried was crisp & excellent. They normally come in the size of a finger. Then we ordered dum chicken biryanis. It is an authentic Mangalore style Biryani with a few medium size chicken pieces. I can't say it was mouth watering but it had a good taste.. Seating was good. The ambiance is average.. Service is good but there is a delay in service I mean food preparation time was 45 minutes or more. At one time when one of the dishes was served 45-50 minutes after our order I sent the order back to the kitchen for a late serving , then the manager came & apologized several times for the delay. But very pricey. Their service isn't too great and none really notices you until you shout out. Food takes time. Butter garlic squids were good. Raja masala was very little in quantity. The beach is less known and relatively undeveloped so there isn't a dedicated parking area as such, however there are places along the roadside where vehicles can be parked. The roads are a bit narrow, though. The beach is awesome. It is pretty flat hence might be okay for kids to play in water; there are some shallow pits formed due to movement of sand though. Lots of sea shells are found on the beach; one of the highest I ever found. Also, during my 1st visit, I found lots of star fishes as well. No food stalls available. I have visited this place multiple times and would highly recommend it if you want to enjoy a uncrowded beach with lots of sea shells to see.
