Overall the experience was bad and upsetting, not many people can afford to eat out in the current financial climate, so we really treated ourselves here because it looked really nice. I was drawn in by the signs for locally produced limoncello. Although not Italian the owners use an Italian recipe for the limoncello. They originally started making it to recycle the lemons that were used in their gin. They now have 2 types of limoncello, the 'standard' which is wonderfully smooth and dangerously easy to drink. They also have a 'sour' which is a much cleaner, clearer taste and is recommended for use in cocktails. The lemon really stands out with clarity. My standout favourite is the gingerbread vodka (what's not to like?). I found the chocolate and cherry gin a bit sweet for my liking but really enjoyed the passionfruit, mango and elderflower gin. There are a whole range of both liqueurs and gin to drink with tonic I'm not one for drinks that are too sweet, so I didn't sample them all (and I had to carry on with my walk), but there is something for everyone.
