Owners should clean up after dogs, but if they leave their dogs unattended while eating, using the restroom or getting drinks because the outside bar isn't open, the staff should be doing it. And those piles remained for the 3 hours we were there. Don't know if they got picked up any time after that... The art is beautiful and the restaurant is delicious but that’s only half the charm of this hotel. The staff made the trip for me and my boys one of the most enjoyable we have had. From the front door to the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone speaks to you as if you’re friends and any need is met as soon as you voice it. They are all kind, charming, and beyond accommodating. My youngest son in particular absolutely fell in love with some of the staff there and the love he felt back in return is unlike anything we’ve experienced in hotels before and we’ve stayed in plenty! This hotel doesn’t just give you a nightly hospitality check via automatic text message, the employees engage with you the moment you’re in sight. Now while I do not think this hotel is really meant for kids, they showed my kids nothing but patience and kindness. I do not plan to stay anywhere else when visiting KC in the future and plan to look for their other locations if I’m ever in range. Like I said, this may be a hotel best enjoyed by adults(even though they were wonderful to my little ones) so keep that in mind. The location, as well, is more enjoyable for adults.
