St Thomas Church is located in centre of Salisbury. This church has long history. It was founded in the early 13th century and rebuilt in the 15th century by the city's prosperous merchants. Above the chancel arch is a large doom painting from the late 15th century or early 16th. Despite all the history, I love the interior which is very touchy. Make me feel I'm living in the history. You can even feel the smell of old wood in the atmosphere.

Beautiful church inside and out. Nice little cafe inside as well. Delightful location right in the heart of the city. No parking facilities so suggest parking outside the city and use the very good park and ride service.

While not at the scale of the nearby cathedral, St. Thomas's Church is still well worth the 10 minute walk from the former. It's a great space, with brilliant windows and - as with many churches - has a lot of historical details. Plus, it has the definite advantage of being less visited by Russian assassins than the cathedral!

There was a very interesting Doom Painting here, and if you're able to drop in to see it.

Fabulous morning looking round the cathedral! Beautiful, so much history. Magna Carta was fantastic. The cafe is amazing, wonderful food, GREAT coffee and the homemade shortbread is to die for!! But the view of the spire through the glass roof is inspired! Our whippet had a great run round outside admiring the view before we went in, huge safe area between the cathedral and the car park. Will be back, especially as you can visit the cafe without going into the cathedral. Really highly recommend a visit.

Wonderful visit. £2 cheaper if you book online. £11 instead of £13. Spent a good hour and a half wLking round. Lots of information boards. Talk on the clock fascinating. All the cathedral guides well knowledgeable and informative. Cafe has meals and snacks, nor cheap though. Two teas and a bicci £9.50! Lots to become absorbed in. Well worth a visit. Didn't have time for tours. We parked at long stay car park £7.50 for 5 hours.

This is a fantastic place to come and view an amazing building. There is a lot to see and learn about. The staff and volunteers were all very nice and helpful. Magna Carter was a fascinating object to see. The refectory and gift shop were a pleasing addition. Well worth the entry fee.

The chapter housed the magna carta and had boards you could walk around with which explained what all the carvings were, what a great idea. We stayed about 2 hours because of parking but you could spend all day there. The price of admission allows you to visit as many times as you want for 12 months.

Beautiful cathedral. The tower tour is amazing. I am claustrophobic and it’s fine as the staircases are in open spaces so you are not closed in. Amazing views from the top and the guides are brilliant. Very peaceful surroundings.

Wow, the people here are SO nice, especially the gate agent entering the grounds! He didn't charge us because we just wanted to stop and snap a picture. He not only gave us a super easy/quick place to park, he opened the bathrooms for us!!! AND, he gave us some interesting history of the cathedral's construction (built over a watersoaked gravel bed). Oh, and the Cathedral is gorgeous from the outside - didn't go inside. FYI - also check out the Atlas Obscura noted High Street Gate nearby

Salisbury Catherdral is just an absolutely amazing place of worship. Whether you believe in god or not it is worth visiting. It blows my mind how they made it There are so many interesting pockets of history there, I was amazed to see there is an original Magna Carta there. A true Britsh gem.

We went to magpies on Friday, was given a warm welcome. Well attended and lots for little ones to do.

We were taken here last night after the train crash, taken very well care of with a never ending supply of tea and biscuits. Lovely and calm and the fairy lights about were a welcome distraction. Thank you for taking care of us!

Very friendly members. Mostly modern service with a few parts of traditional Anglican communion service. Very good edifying sermons the two times we have been. Kept to COVID guidelines. Beautiful building, will definitely come in for prayer when they are open and I am about in the day.

Go to a fabulous playgroup here on a Friday! It's wonderful and so friendly. Lots of activities and perfect for my toddler!

You may spot the imperfections but if you visit enough times and look/listen you will find God in this church. There are also some tiny "Garden Gates" to find in the church garden while you are looking!

A gorgeous 13th century church that’s well worth a visit. Lots of interesting memorials, although rather high up on walls (lights would make them easier to read, so one star deducted). They seem to have a bit of a mice problem! We counted five. How many will you spot?

Stunning Church with a Gothic feel. Thankfully still standing unlike new build homes which are not built to last and none will be standing in 50-100years time.

Came at 10 am for the Mass on a Friday. Beware. Mass is at 10 but may not be at St. Osmund's. However the Church was peaceful and conducive to contemplative prayer.

A nice place of worship in the Roman Catholic community.

Came here for Mass. Great little church. It was built immediately after Catholics were freed from some of the harsh Anti Catholic laws were rescinded in the 18th century. It's aligned with the altar in the Salisbury cathederal which was taken from the Catholic church after the reformation

Sadly driven out of this church by someone playing vaguely religious music very loudly, and turning up and down the volume. Pugin must be turning in his grave!

We went in today for an event on the ground floor. The atmosphere was cozy and the families were warm. We had a good time. I hope to join the Sunday worship service someday. There's limited parking on the church premises but parked parking is available across the church and in adjoining streets.

This church has been my spiritual home for over 30 years. I have received so many blessings and deepened my personal relationship with Jesus. There have been a number of significant changes over the years. Each one has been in line with prophecy given.

There is so much love and joy in this church and community. There are such wonderful people and they make you feel at home right away. If you have young kids to teenagers there are groups that go out which are really interactive and the youth leaders are incredible.

I have been going to this great, Bible believing and Holy Spirit filled church in Salisbury for about a year now. I have found friendly and supportive community through their excellent women's ministry and house groups. Everyone on a Sunday morning is really welcoming. The worship is fantastic and the sermons challenging. My two girls love the children's work. The children's pastor has a real heart for the children knowing Jesus and learning about the word of God. If you are just visiting or wanting to find a spiritual home, St Pauls in definitely worth a visit.

Welcoming, family friendly modern church; with strong roots and values. On a normal Sunday they have a great mix of traditional hymns, and new worship songs. They have a welcoming community and great provision in Sunday school and mid week groups. Whether you are visiting Salisbury or lived here your whole life you should come to this church.

I joined St Paul's Salisbury in 2014. From the first day I have fond it to be a friendly and welcoming church. The ministry among the 20/30's is a welcoming and vibrant community. There is a very active and engaging youth ministry and lively, relevant and family focused children's ministry. The worship inspires an honest and open connection with the Holy Spirit with current worship songs and encouragement to move deeper into relationship with the living God. The teaching is biblical, challenging and culturally relevant. The church also has a strong ministry within the community reaching those in need via a variety of initiatives including CAP.

We went last night to the annual craft event. What a wonderful idea and beautiful church. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Great Christmas decorations to make and prices been great. Defently coming back next year

The accommodation for the presentation was clean,warm and welcoming. Good food was served and the presentation on 'God and science'was educational, informative and fruitful discussion followed.

I organised a surprise 60th birthday party at St John's and it was absolutely brilliant. The space is incredible and incredibly warm in it's atmosphere. The guests loved the space and we have a great party. The team and the trustees were fabulous and so helpful. The venue has catering links and they made the party run even more smoothly, taking care of the food and beverage. Would definitely book again. Thank you so much :)

A warm beautiful well designed centre in a historic church now a community centre. It offers a wide range of facilities including a superb wedding venue. It has all the technical equipment to host business meetings and lectures . It holds monthly film nights and can arrange children's parties. A great space for rehearsals for choral groups and choirs with excellent acoustics.

We attended a funeral reception held in St.John's Place. A wonderful venue which has a kitchen, toilets, a video projector with electronic screen, tables, chairs, central heating and appropriate lighting. The Church is still able to be used for special occasions and the whole place is clean and tidy.

This is the most amazing community space. A consecrated church, but also a gracious and majestic place to hold any kind of party (from wedding receptions to children's tea parties) or event, or even a conference. Really good clean and bright facilities, including a well equipped kitchen.

We had our wedding reception at St John’s Place two weeks ago and we couldn’t recommend it enough. We originally booked a different venue but were let down by them so found St John’s Place. They say everything happens for a reason and on reflection being let down by our first venue was a blessing as St John’s was 100x better! Shelley was a dream to work with. She was so laid back and so lovely and always easy to get hold of if we had any queries or just wanted to pop down and have a look to plan things. We also went to a wedding fair at St Johns, largely just to get some inspiration. There we met their recommended waitresses Vicky and Elaine! These two ladies are phenomenal! They know St John’s so well and made our day run so smoothly! We have had so many compliments on how stunning the venue was, with some guests even saying they are now considering it for their future parties! The amazing thing is the venue is so stunning already you don’t have to spend much on decorations for it to look phenomenal! The venue is also so spacious! We had a bar, buffet, disco, sweet table, gift/guest book table, Photobooth and 100 seated guests!

A wonderful flexible venue, it's great to see this space being well used following a conversion which has see the beautiful features of the church nave and chancel carefully retained. Lots of community activities, and a great place for weddings and parties.

Not open for Salaht in the week. Wanted to pray Dhur. We were travelling and a rainy day so couldn't pray outside so had to go to the Cathedral where the priest allowed us to pray in one of the side rooms! How ironic! The church is serving us better then the mosque

Conveniently located near the town centre Jumma is 1330 Parking is available round the back of Quaker House on Fridays. Accessed by taking the left at the hospital and left again.

I have not worshipped in the church but I have been in the church building and premises a couple of times. I particularly love the layout of the reception and the high ceiling of the main church hall. There's sizable parking at the back of the church and on the road. Hoping to worship there someday.

The vicar is 1 of a kind, very polite and always happy to support if he's able. Also married here it was absolutely spectacular

Lovely community focused church. With a great mix of the contemporary and traditional. Services at 930 & 11 am most Sundays. 930 is more traditional with a choir, traditional prayers and songs. The 11am is more contemporary with worship led by a band and the service is a more relaxed atmosphere. During the week there is a great mix of community groups and activities that use the church building and hall to meet in.

On first sight, it reminded me of Tate Modern. Once inside, look at the expansive ceiling and gallery at the front. A sensitive touch to the 1920's architecture, and the outside of the building then makes perfect sense. Worth popping in to see if in the neighbourhood.

I'm not a religious person so I can only comment on the aesthetics of St Francis' Church. Externally it's not the most attractive building. Dare I say, even a bit ugly? On the inside however it is stunningly beautiful. I have a flyer from them pushed through my letter box each week advertising everything that they have going on so I would suggest they do a lot for the local community.

A very warm welcoming place where you feel like part of the family. The 11 o'clock service is a family friendly service for current worship. There are also various children's groups.

Love this church, it's where we got married. Reverend was great, very down to earth. Biggup the helpers as well as the organist. They have changed the layout since we were married there, I preferred the earlier set up as the walking down the aisle part really does matter.

Attended the Golden Oldies Sing & Smile but they discriminated against me because I am suffering from Alzheimers Disease.

Spiritually mature leadership. Reverent worship. Doctrinal and practical preaching and teaching. From young families to senior saints. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a place where Christ is preached, Christ and the word of God is the centre of reverent worship, there is a focus on spreading the gospel and a loving, family atmosphere then this will be the place for you. Sure, no church is perfect but the focus here is Christ and the gospel which is right where it should be. The Bible version used is the King James Version and metrical psalms are sung. There are two regular services on the Sunday as well as a Bible study and prayer meeting on Wednesday nights. There are other meetings and outreach opportunities throughout the week as announced.

A very special place for me being the church in which I got married to my darling Suzanne. Then our Children's christenings followed and later still we shared our faith together as part of many a Sunday congregation. Sadly last week we also held my sister in laws funeral there but on a happier note also a christening of my niece's daughter the very same week!! Life goes on and this very special church has been a part of it all.

This is the original chapel for the Alderbury Workhouse. The brickwork and the mullioned windows are wonderfully well made. It is the venue for the Salisbury Camera Club. They meet on Monday evenings and welcome new members in the season from September to April.
