The Rosa Parks Museum, situated on the campus of Troy University in downtown Montgomery, is a high-tech and interactive museum that chronicles the events surrounding the Montgomery Bus Boycott. The museum features a children's wing and offers a virtual tour experience. Visitors can explore various exhibits, including original works of art, a replica city bus with interactive videos and displays, and a restored 1955 station wagon used during the Civil Rights Movement.
Great experience. Even if you think you know the history, I highly recommend visiting this museum. They did a PHENOMENAL JOB of presenting actual documents throughout the museum. Police records, recorded voices of those presenting & a raw view of hatred.

Visiting the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery was an educational and meaningful experience. The exhibits not only taught me more about local history but also stirred personal memories of walking the streets of the South as a youth. The museum does a wonderful job of preserving stories and moments that connect past and present. It’s a place that invites both learning and reflection, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to better understand the richness and resilience of Southern history and culture.
LG B — Google review
A very nice museum to visit right in the heart of historic downtown Montgomery. Very interactive with informative exhibits and lots of reading. You can walk down the street to see the actual place Rosa Parks boarded the bus and where she got arrested. I went during the week and there were busloads of school kids and very busy. I definitely recommend all ages visit!
Ell T — Google review
Beautiful experience. Amazing how 1 person could make such a difference. Lovely art works and gift shop.
Lisa — Google review
The Rosa Parks Museum is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. Being in the spot where Rosa Parks took her stand makes the history feel immediate, and the exhibits bring the story to life in a way that’s both moving and unforgettable. It shows how one act of courage became the spark for real change, and it leaves you with a deeper respect for the struggle and the strength of the people who carried it forward. If you’re in Montgomery, this is a stop you shouldn’t miss.
David A — Google review
Wonderful exhibit. Talk a walk in the footsteps of the civil rights movement. Informative and entertaining. Something for everyone. Reasonably priced for both museums together and I definitely recommend to do both for the full story.
Marnie S — Google review
Awesome little history nook, learned so much not taught in history books. My wife and I loved it. The bus scene made it incredible. The architects of this tour knew how to captivate this audience and lead them down the road of the timeline.
Samuel A — Google review
It was a good visit. It's a museum that is affiliated with Troy University. It's located at their downtown campus, and was built on the site where Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white man. The updated reenactment is awesome along with the other displays. The gift shop is awesome also. Had a blast.

The Alabama State Capitol, located on Highway 80 in Montgomery, is a stunning example of Greek Revival architecture. Reconstructed in 1850 after a fire destroyed the original building, it holds great historical significance as the place where the Confederacy began and where Jefferson Davis took his oath as President of the Confederate States of America. The site also played a pivotal role in the civil rights movement, with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivering one of his most famous speeches here.
It was a nice visit! We got to see several rooms in the Capitol building. The landscaping was beautiful since the camillias were in full bloom. It was also great to see the moon tree. Good visit!
Cameron F — Google review
A bit of construction going on. No clear signage for entrance or activities. I was in the area and made an impromptu stop so I didn’t have time to look on the Internet for what might be going on. Had there been informal outside signs then I might’ve stayed longer and given a better review. Wow, I’m just looking at the next questions on this survey and noted that there were tickets to purchase?? A tour?? Everyone is not of the electronic generation so outside signage would be a plus especially for those passing by or in town for a short while.
Queen P — Google review
Spent 30 minutes doing the self-guided tour with the pamphlet. As others have said, more of a museum piece as it is not active with the house, senate and judiciary meeting in other buildings. Have been to nearly 20 state and provincial capitol buildings and this is at the bottom of the list. Very plain, the grounds lack any real gardens or statuary, no information highlighting the state or directing you on how to learn more, no website info or signage directing you to the entrance and in need of some upkeep (plaster on the floor, doors split, etc.). But still, a good visit and glad to have stopped by but would rate a 3.7.
N F — Google review
Very beautiful capitol building. Saw it at dark. Can’t wait to see it during daylight. The columns are stunning and balconies, oh my. There is some stained glass too. Beautiful monuments all around too.
Emptynesters T — Google review
I'm sure this is probably a stunning capital building but I was highly disappointed that I couldn't take a tour because it was Juneteenth and they were closed. Guess I gotta come back again to see the inside.
Brian D — Google review
This is an exhibit in the Alabama Archives and History Museum. It is a small exhibit of Pvt. Romay C. Davis, a member of the WWII 6888th Postal Battalion and some of her items like her Black Belt from Taekwondo and pottery she made. She passed away at the age of 104 in Montgomery.
Stacia R — Google review
I took my SGA students down for a tour. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable, and the process of planning was simple. Parking is an issue. I had to park my bus a half mile away and walk back and forth for my students' needs. Directions to the proper entrance were a bit vague.
Eric H — Google review
I went on a holiday, and it was empty, which was great because I could park close and walk around. It’s impressive to see such a large construction, and the architecture is beautiful

The Hank Williams Museum, located in downtown Montgomery, is a heartfelt tribute to the legendary country music star. The museum showcases an extensive collection of memorabilia, including instruments, iconic clothing, and personal artifacts belonging to Hank Williams. One of the highlights is the baby-blue 1952 Cadillac in which Williams was riding when he tragically passed away. Visitors can also explore galleries filled with vinyl records, guitars, and costumes that belonged to the beloved musician.
What a great concentrated tribute to the great country singer Hank Williams. The space is full of clothing, trivia, displays, and photos of Hank, his family, and his fellow musicians. Beth, the daughter of the couple who started thus museum 25 years ago, is passionate about the museum and Hank. She offered several stories, and details that enhanced my already awesome experience. Wheel chair accessible with heavy front door. Signage is readable not counting handwritten items that are authentic--even one letter was expanded to a larger size. Great tribute to a great talent, his music, his family, his peers, and his passing.
Toni T — Google review
This was an unexpected surprise along our route. Do not follow the signs on I-65 as they are incorrect for the museum. If you love country music, it's a must. If you love music, you will be educated on all things Hank Williams Sr. This is a small museum. However, it is packed with great insight. When you leave the museum stop and get a snapshot of his statue in town and then a short ride to pay your respects at the cemetary.
Lisa V — Google review
This is a great little museum with tons of items. Clothes, posters, instruments, and the crowning glory The Cadillac! I liked that they had items of Audrey's and his friends and bandmates too. The staff was really great. A must see in Montgomery.
Joel H — Google review
So many items of Hank Williams, family and friends. Car where he passed away. Many photos, records, and clothing. A must see if you are in the area. Thanks Mrs Beth for taking our photo and all you do to make our visit great memories.
Randy C — Google review
Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Museum is a main Street cash grab that I didn't feel bad about spending $15 for. Lot of family donated items. It's a "no photography or videography" place so that's lame, it's 2025 let me give you some publicity (however the cashier did offer to take my picture standing in front of Hanks Cadillac). Gift shop prices were rather affordable compared to most. If you are a die hard fan I would go check it out. But if there is a bus load of you I'd suggest one go in and then come out and tell the group what they say 😂. Nothing groundbreaking.
Jared L — Google review
If you love classic country and Hank Williams Sr. This museum is a must see. Great gift shop up front as well. You really step into Luke The Drifter’s life once inside.
Dywaina H — Google review
An amazing collection of an artist whose life was cut short at such an early age. His suits, hats, car and so much more. I was pleasantly surprised this museum had so much of Hank’s things. Well worth the stop before we went to his gravesite. If you’re fan, it’s a must. If you love country music, stop in and walk through. The museum itself is not big but the collection sure is!

The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts is a historic and prestigious museum located in Montgomery, Alabama. The museum has a permanent collection of paintings, drawings, watercolors, etchings, woodcuts, engravings by American artists from the 1700s through to the present day. In addition to its American art collection, the museum also has an exhibit showcasing regional artists as well as self-taught artists with a large quilt collection.
What a great experience! There are permanent and temporary exhibits along with a section for the kiddos to enjoy and create their own art. The museum is clean, quiet, and filled with a variety of art from sculptures to oil paints to hand blown glass. Definitely recommend visiting if you are in or around the area!

Excellent museum for kids!! Highly recommend the interactive kids area - very extensive! Kids could spend hours here. Very impressed with the museum and the grounds!
Mary K — Google review
This is one of my favorite places to visit when I need to clear my mind. The art museum is free to enter and has a peaceful, thoughtful atmosphere with an impressive collection. I love spending quiet time here just walking through the exhibits and taking everything in. Right outside, there’s a large park with beautiful views and a relaxing vibe. You’ll often see ducks and turtles moving around the water — it adds so much life and charm to the space. Altogether, it’s a perfect combination of art, nature, and calm. Highly recommend if you’re nearby.

This place eat great to visit with my girlfriend. Loved all the displays and paintings. Very quiet and a great place to relax. Staff were very friendly as well.

This place is a must visit if you are in montgomery and want a quiet place with no crowd. Its bigger than we expected and have nice outdoor space and activities for kids. Also they are having fall event soon that we will be attending.

Beautiful museum with Interesting pieces of arts is a quiet atmosphere and a lot of peace as deep inside as its surroundings. 100% Recommended.
Milagros V — Google review
Excellent art museum. The facility is upscale in all respects. At entry, a staff member was very informative about the various galleries within the museum. We went on a weekday morning. There were a couple of school field trips but not disruptive to our experience in the least. Was impressed observing museum staff interacting with the children. Such a great cultural opportunity that is FREE!
Chris B — Google review
It's nice that they feature a lot of regional artists. Arrived an hour before closing time and was welcomed in and assured I'd have enough time to see everything, but after 40 minutes the staff began rushing me. Never saw the outdoor sculpture garden or got to enjoy the maker space.

Riverfront Park in Montgomery is a popular riverside compound offering a variety of attractions and activities. Situated on the banks of the Alabama River, it features an amphitheater hosting concerts and plays, as well as a boat ramp for river access, paved trails for hiking and biking, green picnic areas, a playground for kids, and opportunities for kayaking and fishing. Visitors can also enjoy baseball games at Riverwalk Stadium or take a riverboat cruise on the Harriott II.
Lovely park with scenic river views and a calm atmosphere. Perfect for walking, relaxing, or enjoying the riverboat.
Farzana S — Google review
Despite the overcast skies and a chill in the air, it was the ideal day for a stroll along the Riverwalk. The area was maintained well. We spotted dog owners enjoying the fresh air with their furry companions and a handful of boaters on the water. Our little adventure took a delightful turn when we stumbled upon a quirky bar—just follow the music! The atmosphere was great, and they served an intriguing THC-infused drink that caught me completely off guard—who knew such a thing existed? 🍻 What a fun twist to our day! Cheers!
Krystal P — Google review
I didn’t spend much time there because it was too cold, but from the little I saw, it looks beautiful. The place was also empty. I hope to visit again on another occasion.
Maria P — Google review
I enjoyed my walk through. Was in Montgomery for training and I had a few minutes. So, I parked and explored. I walked through the tunnel. and noticed that some of the original buildings were renovated along with the train station. Got some great pics. Then continud on to the river. This is a great area to visit. There is a nature trail attached to this site. Two hotel chains near by within walking distance, and a bar and amphitheatre . But the prize is the Rover boat Harriet that greets you are coming out of the tunnel and the mighty Alabama River. Check out my pics, there are a few where the original bank used to be compared to now. That may put mighty on to perspective. You also get a brief history also. Will be back for a River boat ride!
Shir C — Google review
Great experience! Beautiful scenery, great music, and food. A good time!

Free rides on the Harriett II. We took the granddaughter since none of us have been on it. Unfortunately, we had a storm while on it and had to go inside due to the lightning. All good though. Great and friendly crew. Loved it

Nice place along the river with a riverboat ride. This is the place where a youtube of a brawl occurred and a white folding chair was used in the fight. I was working near Montgomery and stopped by to see it.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Montgomery, The First White House of the Confederacy is a stunning Italianate mansion that holds a significant place in American history. Constructed in 1835, this elegant residence became home to Jefferson Davis and his family during the Civil War when Montgomery served as the Confederate capital from February to May 1861.
It is so wonderful they moved this here in 1921, not even 60 years after the Confederacy. It looks beautiful, even at night with it lit up, I hope it is here for many more years to come so everyone can see history with their own eyes. I was here after it closed, but seeing it from the street is still amazing
B — Google review
The frontman was very informative! We enjoyed listening to the brief history story. The house is well kept! Very beautiful, it gives you the 1800’s movie feeling! Must visit if you’re around the area
Liz H — Google review
Well done and detailed museum. I'm not familiar with Southern history (I'm a Westerner) so it's very interesting and informative visiting museums like this. It makes me want to learn more. The staff is really knowledgeable and helpful.

A MUST! For everyone. This is the BEST tour we’ve had by far, by the most incredibly knowledgeable friendly and open guide - Mr. Bob. Even the kids wanted to stay more and more. What an important and unique experience that no one should miss.

If I could give more stars I would. The First White House of the Confederacy is one of the finest museums we have been to anywhere. Beautifully preserved with wonderful artifacts displaying a brief slice of history. The staff are some of the most gracious, knowledgeable and friendly people we have had the pleasure to me. This home has mostly original furnishings and detailed descriptions of each room. A definite must see, so elegant.

Blount Cultural Park is a sprawling 350-acre park located in Montgomery, offering picturesque walking trails, a dog park, duck ponds, and artistic sculptures. The park is home to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. The museum features grand galleries showcasing American paintings donated by Winton M. Blount and hosts numerous special exhibitions annually.
Like the museum and theater the park is top notch, extremely well maintained and a bright spot for a largely otherwise depressing town. The walking paths need an update but are certainly usable. Other than that it's tough to find a miss here. Wonderful dog park. Lakes. Birds. Streams and acres and acres of open space. Nice touches like the bridge all over the park. Great place to get your steps in.

Such an amazing experience to be here and visit these buildings. You’re surrounded by beautiful lakes and vintage buildings. Picnic tables are also around and plenty of parking for visitors. Although, you’re on a busy street when walking at this park. I wasn’t here enough to know if there are restrooms or playgrounds, but I’m sure they are around.

You can go alone or with your dogs you will feel good!!! If you are not from this area and don’t want to walk or run just go and you will not regret!!! There is also a separate park for your dogs!!! You also have a great walk side of the water or lake!!! Or just stand on the bridge and enjoy the view of green park and the water but don’t miss to check a tortoise in the water, there are lots of tortoise small to very big. You can take a picture of them also!!! Go and enjoy your day.

Beautiful park but there are only benches and places to sit at the dog park. Nice walking paths but no where to sit and enjoy the lake, view or peace and quiet.

What a great area and place to walk, relax and reflect. This park was dedicated in 2002 by the vice president of the US. There are very large areas for picnicing, walking, playing with your dog, and enjoying the outdoors. The park contains several landmarks like the art museum as well as a cultural museum. This was a nice one-hour distraction for the kiddos. It’s fairly small but there were interesting exhibits and my daughter loved dressing up and playing in the kitchen. The people were friendly and we had a nice time. Plus, you can’t beat free!

Loved it! The MOOseum is a small but very fun and educational spot. It’s all about Alabama’s cattle industry, and they’ve done a great job making it interactive and kid-friendly. The exhibits are well put together, clean, and easy to follow. It doesn’t take a long time to go through, but it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in Montgomery, especially with kids. Staff are welcoming and happy to answer questions. A unique little museum that gives you something different to experience!

We traveled all the way from France and could not be happier with our experience at the MOOseum! My daughter didn’t want to leave! It’s a free visit and has a lot of great interactive sections for kids of all ages to visit! Even as an adult I found it very educational. The two ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and made sure we got a sticker for my daughter! It’s downtown within all the other historical things to visit in Montgomery! Very well done and maintained!

The National Memorial for Peace and Justice, opened in 2018, is a six-acre site dedicated to the victims of racial violence in the United States. It features sculptures, texts, and designs that serve as a poignant introduction to the memorial's mission. The centerpiece of the memorial is comprised of 800 six-foot steel monuments representing lynching victims from 800 counties across the country.
One of the museums that you could visit if you are nearby. Made me think deeper about the historical racial justice issues. I like the design of the museum, the sculptures and memorials were very well designed and they were nice. It was a deep experience, I suggest that you visit with friends and family. Some of the sculptures are really sad and could be hurtful.

A solemn place. Very well designed, Worthy of a landscape architecture design award. The attendants were super helpful. An electric cart was available for those in need. The hill to climb to the art installation was well provided with information tablets of history and facts. The landscape and grounds were very well taken care of. A stellar place of historical information and worthy of a 1-2 hour visit.

Incredibly beautiful memorial to commemorate the horrible injustices and murders of African Americans across the country. Each sculpture represents 1 to 20+ vuctims of lynchings that occured in counties across the nation. Every American needs and should see this memorial.

Very informative for all ages who understand they have a history of Theo ancestors. Much work, art and detail placed in all exhibits. We experienced all the emotions existent to mankind!!! A worker there who saw me crying said "it's ok, don't you feel guilty... it's not your fault." I left reflecting.💕

Incredible. Very powerful and moving. You could spend the whole day between the 3 locations. Review the site for more information, buy tickets ahead of time. No PETS allowed, no skateboards, no vapes or smoking, they will confiscate your items until you leave the exhibit to ensure that maximum respect is paid to the area.

The Legacy Museum is a very powerful experience. It focuses on telling the whole truthful story. It honors the lives of everyone by including the raw testimony and history of the massive injustice in our past and currently. It was encouraging to see so many people, adults and children, involved with learning the true history of America.

The Montgomery Zoo & Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is a sprawling 40-acre zoo that houses over 700 animals from five continents. Visitors can embark on a journey through various habitats, encountering zebras, tigers, camels, and monkeys roaming freely without cages or barriers. The lush greens between habitats provide a picturesque setting for exploring the diverse animal exhibits. Additionally, the zoo offers unique experiences such as behind-the-scenes tours of elephant and tiger habitats and giraffe feeding encounters.
My husband and I went on Military Appreciation Day. We took 2 of our grandchildren ages 6 and 8. It was a great day. The zoo was big enough that it kept us busy all day. Yet small enough that it didn't overwhelm us. They are upgrading the zoo and some animal exhibits were closed.

8/2025 We like zoos and had a little extra time in Montgomery so we decided to stop by. It was hot so some animals were inside, but we really liked the ones we saw including the Pygmy hippos, elephants, lions, cheetahs, other cats, rhino, chimpanzees, lemurs, and more. Nice place to spend a couple hours!
Mark S — Google review
Our first time going: 1. Lacks directional signage for how to navigate around the zoo. 2. Tickets are priced too high for the few animals on exhibit. 3. Accessible for mobility impaired customers seemed good 4. Gift shop was small but cute I will table my plans to buy a membership until I can determine if it is worthwhile once more exhibits are open and renovation is further along. 5

We are a zoo lover visiting zoos in South Carolina, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, and now Alabama. I’ve seen worse. But I’ve definitely seen better. The good: Parking was great. Plenty of parking. No complaints there. Prices for food was good, especially for a zoo. The staff at the overlook cafe was phenomenal. I gave this zoo an extra star just for the staff at the cafe. Customer service matters! The bad: The exhibits were small and often left me feeling bad for the animals because it seemed too small for animals of their size and normal range. My biggest complaint though is not enough bathrooms and the signs directing you around the park were awful. Very confusing and not enough of them.
Michelle S — Google review
Went with my wife as part of a romantic getaway weekend. Great park clean amenities and lovely animals to gaze upon. We were there when they opened the gates and the ticket booth operators were all very nice and quick moving making for a fast entrance and great experience overall from beginning to end!

All animal facilities looked well kept and adequately sized. Staff definitely looked interested in the animal welfare. Couple of exhibits closed (including alligator) and the skyline wasn't open during our weekday visit. Gift shop renovation ongoing... Take plenty of water when it's warm, no water stations around the site and $3 for a bottle in the cafe

Service was excellent. A few exhibits were closed for remodeling. Looking forward to seeing it when they are finished.

The Montgomery zoo is under construction at this time. The front entrance is the main thing that they seem to be working on. I think the money would be better spent on the animals and their habitats. It was very hot, some of the animals may have been inside for their own safety, but there were many that were not available for viewing.

The Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum is a well-preserved family home of the famous novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda. The museum's mission includes protecting their last home, preserving artifacts, educating visitors about the couple's legacies, and supporting aspiring writers through mentoring programs. Visitors can explore the house where the Fitzgeralds lived and wrote their works, such as 'Tender is the Night' and 'Save the Waltz.'
If you like F. Scott and/or Zelda, the Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum is likely your kind of place. The Museum is located on the ground floor of the home the Fitzgeralds shared in Montgomery. The museum is loaded with artifacts, letters, clothing and personal effects. Some of Zelda’s artwork is on display as well as clothing. It’s a small but interesting space with loads of information.
Louis E — Google review
Awesome museum for folks who are interested in the Fitzgeralds. Lots of letters, pictures, paintings, some clothes, and other memorabilia to study. My favorite part was getting to stay at the Airbnb in the Zelda Suite above the museum.

Wonderful museum, loved it! Definitely worth your time a d please pay the $5 donation admission fee as they are self funded. So many mementos from Zeldas family. Some great things from Scott also. The letters were my favorite. The staff was so kind.

It was fine. The home is in a lovely historic district. Lots of photos, news clippings, placards. Very quiet. Not a very extensive gift shop. Fine for a self guided tour of the first floor.

Awesome place for a 1 hour visit. Tour guide was very informative and enjoyable. Obviously not an all day museum but I highly recommend to visit if you’re in Montgomery.
Randy G — Google review
I don't know if there is another museum dedicated to F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. They lived a nomadic life and never owned a home. This is the only place the lived in as a family (with daughter Scottie) and the only place where they wrote novels. The museums includes many examples of their dress, as well as plenty of photos and letters. A real gem in the middle of Montgomery. Not where you would expect these subjects to be represented. But if you need to take a break from other Montgomery attractions, this is a nice quiet corner to retreat to for an hour or so.

Gorgeous 1910 home in a stunning, historic Montgomery neighborhood. The displays and artifacts are personal, delightful, and insightful. Zelda Sayre was a tragically untapped mind and a fascinating figure. I highly recommend a visit and i can't wait till they begin listing the upstairs apartment on airbnb. I'll certainly be back! Update October 2017: I just visited the memorial to Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald at the location of the former Highland Sanitarium (75 Zillicoa St. Asheville, NC) where she perished in a tragic fire the night before she was to return to her mother's home in Montgomery. I found the gorgeous Montford neighborhood and memorial to be an excellent extension to the Montgomery house and museum. You may consider it in your travels! (See photos attached)

The second floor of the Archives is one of the most educational spaces in Montgomery for kids. The hands-on displays include space for dress up and play, and a collection of movies to watch. Even the bathrooms have a great view of the Capitol.
Sheralyn B — Google review
Had good displays, but the lighting was very dark. To the point that the exhibits were hard to see in detail. But still a detailed account of Alabama history. Most of the American Indian artifacts were not on display due to being considered for repatriation.

We did not know what to expect when we decided to go here but ended up being extremely impressed. 3 stories with the bulk of the exhibits on the second floor, to include a hands on children's room, geology room, historical war room with a lot of weapons and uniforms. Then Several areas in order tracing the history of Alabama from a few hundred years ago to present day. Exhibits in these areas were outstanding. Plan on being here for a few hours.

It is conveniently located in downtown Montgomery near the Montgomery Performing Arts Center.
It's really a nice, double A stadium. Good atmosphere and a great place to bring your children. The ticket prices are affordable, but the food and soft drinks prices are more expensive than AAA baseball. We paid 26 dollars for two hotdogs and two cokes, so eat before you go. The beer was priced ok, but only limited choices. Everything else was great.

My family and I went here 3 days ago to the 6pm Saturday night Montgomery Biscuits baseball game. Everyone was very friendly and had professional customer service. However, the prices for food and drinks are very high, the actual biscuits are hard as well as cold, and there's no Military/Veteran Discount either. There should be someone that walks around the people in the seats offering things for you to buy, like at other locations.

Hank Williams is the King of Country Music. I was there for Hank's 100th birthday, and it was a great time of sharing memories of Hank with the many people who were there both young and old. There was music and a proclamation that was read declaring that day to be Hank Williams Day in the State of Alabama. No matter when you go, a visit to this sacred place is a moving experience. I love my time with Troy University. The University and some of the instructors was awesome. However I had one teacher that retaliated against me. Dr. Matuski. It has affected me in many ways. I very seldom acknowledge I'm a Troy Alumni. Troy University allows a teacher years ago to retaliate against my grades. In the masters program you have to have a B average. This teacher wanted to after finals to post my grades for my weekly assignment. Later after making a 100 on the final the instructor gave me a 79.8. I went in spoke to her and in the recording she started she believe I had help. She believ proctorU did not do their job. She was going to request for the testing footage. Then, then had the nerve to ask a test question. If she felt that way she should had tried to reach me within the term. I had contacted her several times and my calls and messages was ignored, so I left work early to had an unannounced meeting. I reach someone in Troy University in Troy, scheduled a meeting where someone else sat in the meeting let them here the recording (Alabama is one party consent). He acknowledge that wasn't right and advised he would to it to a panel I believe. When I call him around two later he stated it wasn't nothing he can do. Because of this I lost financial assistance because it brought my GPA down. I had to take another class and pay out of pocket. I did complete paying before graduation. I also had a issue with my intent to graduate. I spoken to Jim Smith in Troy Montgomery about my complaint. I mentioned I might go to the news or use other outlets. I also have a recording of that as well. I recording it because I felt they would believe their professors more and i needed to prove proof. He advise me if I do go to them he will let me walk. I felt like Troy University allowed this. Other students may have went through something similar.
Monica E — Google review
This campus has the worst professors for their nursing program and they will not do anything about the bad evaluations given by the nursing students about these professors. If you like being talked down to, berated and belittled in front of other students then this is the nursing program for you! The professor did this to MULTIPLE students who were confused about a schedule the professor posted. She said "You're not confused, you just can't read. How do you expect to become a nurse if you can't read?" and then is irritated at the students when they are upset about the way she talks to them. WHO TALKS TO PEOPLE LIKE THAT?!! TROY NEEDS TO GET BETTER NURSING PROFESSORS.

We chose the Celebration of Life service, and it was wonderful. Niki, Savanna and Pastor Sam Long did a wonderful job, and we could not have been more pleased.

Many thanks to the staff for making everything possible. All afterlife wishes for my deceased family member was met with the utmost respect. Planning and execution was thorough and timely. I appreciate everything done by the staff, especially their attention to the smallest detail.

Upon entering the doors I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine show of care and concern for my family by Mrs Sherri Taylor and other staff members. Mrs Nikki Ross who assisted me is a very knowledgeable representative and handled the entire process professionally.

I appreciate the professional people at White Chapel who helped us in a time of great sorrow. They listened to our needs and offered appropriate choices. Everything they did was top notch. I will always be grateful for choosing White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home.

We had a pleasing experience with Ms Nikki who assisted us with our future home going plans. She was very nice and helpful . Answered questions .Also the Young man who assisted us last visit was very helpful! I can’t remember his name! Sorry!

Very upset that things were moved from a grave site. How can you remove stuff that isn’t flowers? I mean something’s are sentimental between the pasted loved ones and the ones still here. I’m very upset to know this isn’t ok. No notice given to family or anything.

I worked with Nikki to take care of the burial portion of my mother’s funeral. She was great to work with and very responsive. Everything worked out just as expected and White Chapel- Greenwood were super flexible as we navigated a service in Pelham and a burial in Montgomery all in the same day. I was very pleased and grateful for their care.

From the receptionist to Nikki explaining the cost and driving me around the possible available plots. She answered all my questions and was never in a hurry to complete the purchase.

Nature & Parks
This park features a reproduction of the Wright brothers' flying machine. It is more family-friendly than it once was, with updated facilities and a small playground. There is a fair amount of trash people throw into the woods beside it, but the city can't always clean it up efficiently. There are also some unsafe decks rot on some of the wooden decks, so watch your step.
While staying at Maxwell AFB, we just had to see this memorial park. Did you know…? After the Wright Brothers perfected their flying, they began teaching others to fly. Here, what is now Maxwell AFB is where the worlds first flight school began! So cool😎 Parking is on the street. No bathroom. We took Cooper for a quick walk to snag these photos.

The big plane is no longer there. The stairs to the garden is locked off. Not worth stopping by actually

Just a brief stop while headed North on a RV trip. Plenty of parking along the street for our tow and travel trailer though if felt as if the vehicle lanes were a bit tight. Well maintained, trash can nearby. I think there were public restrooms further down but it was so hot outside that we did a quick walk with our best pals, snapped some happy shots, then jumped back into the a/c.

We enjoyed the walk and the huge structures however the garden being gone was a huge disappointment Looking over the rails down below was a sad site This could be such a beautiful place - i wish we could have seen it in his prime.

The Wright Brothers Park was an unexpected treat. We had no idea that Orville and Wilber had such a significant involvement with the City of Montgomery. After the successful flight at Kitty Hawk NC, they open a flying school here to train customers. This would be expanded by the government during World War I. The facilities were useful in the war effort and would eventually become Maxwell Air Force base. The park is fairly large and beautifully situated on the river.

I have always liked this little park overlooking the river and railroad tracks. It's more family friendly than it once was with better fencing and updated facilities. The small playground and space for outdoor games is nice. Originally called overlook park it has some nice views. On the negative side there is a fair amount of trash people throw into the wooded hill beside it, and because of the area the city can't really clean it up efficiently. There is also some unsafe deck rot on some of the wooden decks so watch your step.

Interesting little spot. Wanted to share an updated photo of the little playground.
Bianca M — Google review
Calling it a park is generous, but it is quite a nice strip of grass accented by a few trees and benches, overlooking the river. I spent about an hour here with my dogs one sunny afternoon in December. We picnicked on a blanket and shared some delicious bbq from Dreamland. Then we wandered along the path there. I wasn’t expecting it to be a bird watching outing, but a charming mockingbird watched us for most of our meal. And a cardinal came to join it for a bit. A lovely surprise. And the free parking is always good.
