Shakey Knees 2025 My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on Saturday 9/20/25 at Piedmont Park for Shakey Knees. We went to see Tv on the Radio. They were absolutely fabulous. We also enjoyed seeing Johnny Marr, Cage the Elephant, and of course My Chemical Romance. We got the GA+ tickets, and the ammenties were great. It was nice to stretch out and have enough room to relax. The AC bathrooms were top notch, and we loved the Comp drink options. We got food at Get Baked, Mosh Burger and the Pizza joint. I absolutely loved the veggie burger that Mosh makes. This was my second Shakey Knees festival, and my boyfriend's first time in the ATL. Such incredible memories! Can't wait to see the line-up for next year's festival. Thank you Shakey Knees!

Visited for One Music Fest and it was absolutely amazing! Plenty vendors, lots of restrooms,and great acts! Had a very great time and I look forward to next year's line up!

I spent a sunny afternoon exploring Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, and it deserves five stars. Piedmont Park is a fantastic place, just beautiful. Great place to take pictures, so many views. All angles of nature, architecture, and people. There was so many people there sitting or exercising or events you cannot see the whole park in one visit. With all that said it's still a basic park too, with a basketball area, a playground, soccer field, etc. As an out of towner, we enjoyed it and felt safe. We were able to find street parking on 12th Street for free but I get the sense we were lucky.

So beautiful and calm. There were people playing music and its so awesome to see that we are truly our own person and to see all the different types of people in the park. Going here always works to clear my head after a stressful week :】

A fun place to walk around or stop for a coffee. Fall was in full effect for my visit, but the sun was most welcome. There is a mix of grass, paths, and monuments. There are some interesting info boards, too. I ran laps around the park just after sunrise, and this felt safe. There are a few homeless folks in and around the park, but they mostly keep to themselves.

As my first time in Atlanta, visiting this park was on my top to do list recommended by lot of “things to do in Atlanta“. The park was clean and felt safe since it’s right across the aquarium and World of Coca-Cola, we crossed right over after visiting those experiences. The park had a nice walking trail around the park but aside from that there wasn’t too much to do or vendors around. For my first time experience, this park was very interesting and found a lot of history to it. To me this is more of a one time experience but definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Atlanta for their first time. Note: the Ferris wheel is right across the street. A wonderful remembrance of the things others have done to promote peace for all races. The monument is well kept and beautiful to behold. Very relaxing and serene. DR. King and his wife are buried next to each other in the stones shown below. This is must see tourist attraction about one of the most important events in history.

I recently explored the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park in Atlanta and found it to be an incredibly moving and enriching experience. The park spans nearly 35 acres in the historic Sweet Auburn district, offering a wide range of landmarks tied to Dr. King’s life—from his childhood home and Ebenezer Baptist Church to the King Center and Freedom Hall. Starting at the Visitor Center, I joined a free ranger-led presentation that provided essential context before touring the birth home and the church. The emotional weight of standing where Dr. King lived and worshiped is truly unforgettable. Highlights include the serene World Peace Rose Garden, the “Behold” statue, the Walk of Fame honoring civil rights leaders, and the final resting place of Dr. and Mrs. King—marked by a reflective Eternal Flame. The park is thoughtfully laid out and very accessible, with plenty of space to reflect, learn, and engage. It’s a vital piece of our nation’s history and a must-visit for anyone in Atlanta.

We went to Atlanta for the purpose of the free museum and it's a great place to take the kids to learn about such a iconic guy in American history. Wish they had more statues of him around. It was a lot of photos. It would've been nice to see more life size statues. I was surprised to see that he was buried across from the museum in a fountain that was such a blessing. We had no idea he was laid to rest with his wife. I wish the house that he grew up in was open when we went. We did walk down the historic neighborhood and got to see all the old school houses that was really nice. I just wish we were able to go inside and get a tour. We didn't go in time for the church tour but for it to be free and the surprise of him being buried there was a great experience overall.

All services were back in business after the big government shutdown, as of November 17. So thankful, it was my only day in Atlanta to visit this sprawling site. PSA: The main museum is closed for renovations for the next year. There's a smaller museum above the gift shop, and a very cool walk through history in the old firehouse across Auburn St. The birth home is also undergoing repairs, so only the front of the house is viewable for the time being (through cyclone fencing). MLK Jr. and Coretta Scott King are interred on the grounds, and his voice echoes throughout the property with the I Have a Dream speech. There's so much to see, even with the repairs going on. And I was blown away by the flora and fauna as Fall fell here, just in time for an absolutely stunning backdrop.

Very peaceful place to visit. Your not allowed to take pictures in the exhibition areas but you can outside. The issue I had was that there was construction and fencing posted so getting to the actual place was a bit of a walk.

Historic cemetery that is now a park. Lots of families and dog walkers but not too busy. Visitor Center with cute gift shop and restrooms. We booked a tour with Jihan. She gave a fantastic talk about the history, focusing on “We Shall Overcome”

I am so glad we visited this historic cemetery. The history was fascinating. The various plants and trees were beautiful. We walked from our hotel which was closer to Centennial Olympic Park and had to walk through a questionable neighborhood though. If we were to do it again, I would Uber.

This place is rad. If you like cemeteries you'd is a must see. They have some things I've never seen before. Have a few famous sites like Kenny Rogers. It's just a neat ol cemetery. I walked around in here for over an hour looking at all of it. Probably one of the best I've visited. Don't know about parking because I walked here. 🤷

There is so much history in this historical cemetery located in Atlanta. So peaceful , gorgeous flowers, statues, mausoleum, headstones, and pathways. They have a gift store & welcome center across from the cemetery. Events often take place here. The cemetery is free to go to, except if it is having an event.

I attended Capturing the Spirit of Oakland for the first time and I found it to be incredible! During a time when so much of our history is being erased it was nice to know that important stories are still being told. Highly recommend everyone go and enjoy this event.

20/10. My FAVORITE place in Atlanta. Dead serious 🖤 The history mixed with the incredible gardens mixed with the intricate architecture of the headstones and mausoleums is always fascinating. The entire cemetery feels so peaceful and welcoming, even in the winter months. Every time I come, it feels like seeing it for the first time. I truly truly love Oakland! Shout out to all the volunteers who dedicate their time and knowledge to helping preserve and grow such a beautiful memorial to those buried there. As far as gardens go, it definitely takes an army to maintain and they do so expertly! The grounds are a welcome oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of ATL. Last night I was able to attend the Illumine event for the first time and it was SO so cool! Awesome music, art installations and lighting! Seeing the cemetery at night like that was killer. Can’t wait for next year! Just to clarify, there is no entry fee just to visit on a normal day. These photos are from the Illumine event which is ticketed.

A magical celebration at Oakland Cemetery! The Dia de los Muertos event was absolutely stunning — vibrant altars, beautiful performances, and such a warm sense of community. You could feel the love and reverence for tradition in every corner. The colors, music, and food made it both reflective and joyful, a perfect blend of remembrance and celebration. Oakland’s historic setting added a hauntingly beautiful backdrop that made the evening feel timeless. Can’t wait to come back next year!

A great place to walk and people watch. Lots of seating and restaurants to choose from. Nice scenic views from points along the way. Parking was confusing with there being lots of paid parking attached to restaurants (or so we thought). Lots of photo ops but there are certain places were you can only use your phone for pictures, no professional cameras even if you’re not a professional.

Such a cool trail. I love the walkability and all the stores that are right on the trail. Lots of restaurants, too. We really enjoyed it. So many cool things to see.

Amazing place to walk eat and take in the atlanta culture and ambience

Wonderful trail running through so much of midtown (I believe). Green spaces, shops, restaurants, tons of people watching. I found a Kroger and parked there while we walled part of the trail! Highly recommend to those visiting so you can see more of the city close up!

Loved walking the Beltline and It led me to some cool places.

The experience is still cool as an adult. I used to go as a kid all of the time. The machine in the middle has died, but the experience is still nothing short of awesome. The museum portion has shrunk tremendously. I am not sure if it's under construction or just gone all the way. It seems like the main focus is the planetarium only now. I did enjoy the bee exhibit.

It’s a small venue, but the shows are excellent. The theater is 360 degrees, which makes the experience really unique. After the show, they also host a short expert panel discussion, which was a nice touch. I came mainly for the observatory, but since it was too foggy, we only managed to see one small star. Still, the instructor Steve was very kind and knowledgeable. Aside from the observatory and the show, the exhibits are on the smaller side, but overall it’s worth a visit. Plenty of parking is available.

The Dome Saved It — Random, Retro, and Weirdly Wonderful Hidden inside Dekalb County’s school district, Fernbank Science Center feels like stepping into a time capsule that still dreams about the future. One hallway you’re staring down a T-Rex skull, the next you’re face-to-face with a scaleless snake that looks like it’s been training for a Dune sequel. Then it’s on to real NASA hardware — yes, an actual Apollo 6 Command Module that’s seen space (and probably a few million field trips). If that’s not enough, they’ve got bees, frogs, and a planetarium show where Dr. Justin Robinson from GSU made everyone feel like we could spot a pulsar before dessert. The exhibits can feel a little random — like the world’s smartest garage sale — but the heart’s in the right place. The real win is the planetarium: part comedy, part science, all passion. Easily the best 45 minutes of the night and the reason this goes from a 3 to a 4. It’s free, family-friendly, and weirdly nostalgic — like if Star Trek hosted a field trip. You don’t come here for flash; you come here to feel small in the best way.

Free exhibit but the planetarium show really adds to the experience - we watched the reef show. Get the Groupon! Apollo model and bee exhibit were neat. It’s about less than hour to go through and another 45 min for the show. They do a night star chat before the show that is really nice. Highly recommend. We’ve never been before but assume it used to be better because a couple of exhibits are closed now.

We went to the Observatory to see the stars. The Host spent some time briefly explaining what will happen when he turns the lights off. He also shared what we will see. He was open to questions during the entire experience..We will definitely go back. Theiseum was open before the event and we explored it while we waited.

The Fernbank science center is a fun experience! I go there daily as a student as they teach advance science lessons and show us proper labs and safety. They have shows and fun experiences for people in the community to volunteer for which are also just as fun as being a student there! I recommend visiting if you are intrigued by how science works and all the cool things science has led us to discover!

Come on the weekday crowds are very low. This is a fantastic place for kids between ages of 6 to 12. Overall, there is a lot to read and a lot to do here for a good half of a day. The Georgia history section is fantastic and does a lot of wonderful natural history. The kids enjoyed the activities on the third floor like the science center where they got to do experiments and also the play area which was an underwater theme. Outside is spacious and has a lot of fun activities for kids again. The IMAX theater was good. Definitely get there about 15 minutes ahead of time. We saw the T-Rex exhibit, I did not enjoy it so much but the kids loved it.

It was an interesting combination of art from multiple cultures and eras. My son and I amused ourselves coming up with names for the abstract sculptures. I've never seen so much furniture included in an art museum before. The item that stood out as "I'm not sure this belongs here" was a turnstile. 🤔

I visited the Museum on the UPS secondb Sunday program, so the admission was free. A modern museum with a large collection and two hours were barely enough to cover all the grounds. The coat check lady was extremely nice, sharing with me information about Wednesday free admission under the Access for All program.

This would be a 5 star review if the price was more accessible. If you can afford it, the collection is quite large and diverse. My husband and I really enjoyed the abstract and contemporary art. However the cost made me feel gross. Like I was funding an art exhibit only accessible for the wealthy. With all the fees it's $51.18 for two standard tickets + $18 to park in the garage. The museum needs to reconsider their mission and values.

I’m not flipping over the moon but it was fair. $30 per. A bit confused on the entry. Followed the art gate to the entrance-if I didn’t have my wife with me it might’ve took me longer to find. Nice people/customer service on entry and ticket line. If you spend another $30 you get an annual pass. Good deal since they change out art through the year. Purchased tickets on site. Multi levels dedicated to different periods. I LOVE the Black/African History. Very nice big layout spacing to see the art comfortably while others can be admiring the same art piece. I got super thirsty with all the walking. If you’re afraid of heights, the walk up can be nervous. Maybe there’s an elevator. Had to sit down once. It’s plenty to see for the money. We parked at the food hall and walked over but they have parking that i think cost. Took about 45 min at our pace to view everything. I’d recommend and come back in a few years. Makes you want to venture out to other museums. Security was available.

The High Museum of Art is one of my favorite places to go when I want to get away. It’s peaceful, inspiring, and always has something new to see. The exhibits are well put together, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing — a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some creativity.

This museum has some really beautiful exhibits. It’s surprisingly spacious with a substantial and not overwhelming amount of artworks. Definitely try to come during the 2nd Sunday of the month because it will be free admission!!!

My daughter is an aspiring artist so it's always nice to visit the high museum so she can gather inspiration. They offer so many cool events here that cater to a myriad of audiences. It's aways a learning experience. We thoroughly enjoy every visit.

Ponce City Market is one of those places where you go “just to look around” and end up spending half your day (and wallet if you love food😅). The vibe is super lively – a fun mix of food, boutique shops, art, and people-watching. Great spot for visitors or when you have no set plan but want to explore. Food hall has something for everyone – though seating can be a bit of a hunt during peak hours. The rooftop is definitely a highlight, but do check timings and tickets in advance. Parking is... let’s say “city style” – slightly painful unless you are lucky or patient. All in all, it’s the kind of place that makes Atlanta feel cool without trying too hard. Worth visiting again and again!

My wife and I had a great time at the Ponce City Market. Parking was easy and fairly inexpensive ($7-3hrs.). Tons of great restaurants and shops to explore. It was very clean and decorated beautifully for Halloween.

Wow PCM is really an amazing huge industrial space filled with so much good food and drink it's almost overwhelming. We spent better part of 4hrs here a few days ago just exploring and trying so many different things from Bibi lamb and labneh sandwich to another amazing sandwich at El Pan. Had cocktails at Atrium. Could've eaten my way through the entire place although that would take months. Cannot wait to go back!

I had a chance today to go to the rooftop of Ponce City Market. Experience is great to see the city of Atlanta. I really enjoyed all the activities that you can do on top of the roof. I would highly recommend to come visit if you’re just a tourist.

Had such a nice time walking around Ponce City market during my trip to Atlanta. I loved El Super Pan, Glad and Young, and Posman Books. The vibes were perfect - It would be the perfect place to hang out and work remotely.

Such a neat market with GREAT variety in both food options and unique shops. We did a little browsing in the shops, but we're mainly there for lunch options in the food hall. My sisters both got fabulous Mexican food from one restaurant, while I had chose El Super Pan for lunch. I got the boxed lunch with a 1/2 Cubano, side salad (or you can get a side of rice & beans), a cookie, and my choice of agua Fresca (I picked guava, but the soursop was amazing, too!). All of that for $16. I couldn't even finish it all. Multiple options for dessert or a sweet treat, but we settled on Saint Germain. Nice variety of macarons, chocolates, and exquisite pastries. They're all so beautiful, it's hard to take that first forkful. I limited myself to just one dessert to take with me, and it was a great choice. I got the pear tart, which was so dense it felt like it weighed a pound! It ended up being eaten over three separate sittings. You can't make a wrong choice there, I truly believe. So much to see and do there. It is a definite repeat stop the next time we're in ATL. I can only imagine how spectacular the living spaces are there

Ponce City Market is one of the best spots to explore in Atlanta if you’re into food, shopping, and cool vibes all in one place. Housed in a beautifully restored historic building, it feels like a modern urban marketplace with a lot of character. The Central Food Hall is packed with great eats—from ramen and burgers to upscale Southern cuisine and fresh pastries. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so expect some crowds. But the variety and quality make it worth it. There’s also a rooftop area (The Roof) that offers amazing skyline views, fun games, and even mini golf—definitely a must-do if you’re visiting for the first time. Besides food, the retail shops are fun to browse, with a mix of local boutiques and bigger brands. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but they do have a paid deck and valet if you’re not up for hunting a spot. it’s a great place to spend an afternoon or evening—whether you’re grabbing a bite, meeting friends, or just soaking in the atmosphere.

It was eh.....thankfully it was free or else it probably wouldn't be worth it. Sparse is an accurate word to describe it. 1st floor has some TV screens and videos, small room off to the side about children and vaccines. A larger area that was all about artwork made during Covid. The floor below was exhibits on the creation of the CDC, diseases and instruments used for disease control. The Covid-19 exhibit was about the size of a postage stamp which was a little underwhelming due to the scope and length of the pandemic.

Very secure place. Parking is free, and your vehicle is completely searched. Body scan performed before entering the building. The museum, whether tour guided or self guided, is worth these minor security checks.

Visiting was interesting because there was a lot of history shown with pictures and artifacts. Also some areas were restricted. I suppose you can look up what they do there to understand the reason for armed guards.

Respect Science. Don’t let political believes and false opinion harms lives. Too much to lose when the organization is run by non-scientists.

Atlanta is a great place to be if you love art and design, and this is a great museum that might get overlooked for that purpose. Yes, it's about the CDC and various public health crises first and foremost, but it's a got so many rich examples of art, design, and communication in practice for anyone who is interested in these topics. I skipped the hassle of the inspection by taking a Lyft, and that meant I got to spend more time here. It's not a huge museum, but it feels very information dense- there's a lot to see on every level.

Very educational and interesting museum with a number of exhibits. The admission on the day we went was free. You will learn about the agency dedicated and tasked with learning and addressing the human condition as it relates to diseases. I learned about the people who go all over the world to work on diseases. The EIS have gone globally to prevent the spread of diseases and to stop the effects of disease of certain populations. Free Admission. Truly unique and eye opening Museum at Centers for Disease Control & Prevention headquarters showcasing public-health history. Incredibly interesting. Must have an ID to enter. And they check all visitor's vehicle's. Free parking. Yes, you are allowed to take pictures.

Beautiful aquarium with a great variety of creatures to visit! The lighting was really nice! We had a great time. Especially enjoyed the interactive activities. I appreciated the water fountain in the aquarium. The bathrooms were really clean as well. Souvenir store needs some improvement to get more revenue. Need to reserve sea lion and dolphin shows well in advance! We didn’t know and didn’t get to see them.

A great experience for all ages and group sizes. The only feedback is that I wish they were more inclusive with signage in multiple languages. Some FYIs- (1) I came on a Sunday at 10am. A good time when it was not very crowded. By 3pm, it was more crowded, particularly in the Ocean Voyager (whale shark) area. (2) There are employees throughout doing short info sessions or available to answer questions (3)Sign up for the dolphins and/or sea lion presentation online in the morning bc they do fill up. I saw the sea lion presentation twice, and it was different animals/shows, so that was worth it. (4) I didn’t see the dolphin show this time because the last time I visited, it took an hour total to get in and out of the amphitheater, and the show was about 10 min. (5) Food is expensive but tasty. You can see the prices and options online. (6) I think you can leave and come back on the same day with a stamp (7) I did the $50 behind the scenes tour, which was cool - but geared more towards the mechanics and systems of the aquarium. You don’t go in top of the tanks or see animals. The cheaper tour does that, I believe. Our tour guide talked faster and most incomprehensible than anyone I’ve ever met. UPDATE: I did do the $16 Behind the Seas tour to see the top of the tank. Marc was a great tour guide! (8) lots of signage and info about the animals and conservation (9) there are benches to sit and enjoy the shark, coral, and ocean voyager areas- so that’s nice. Stroller and wheelchair friendly throughout (10) multiple touch tanks for kiddos (or all ages) (11) Hot tip: if you get coffee from the actual Cafe, you get a larger cup than the smaller cafe above the touch tanks. They truly have everything you could ask for in an aquarium and more. I’ve visited 4 times and can’t wait to go back.

Everything was clean, well-organized, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great spot for families, couples, or anyone who loves the ocean. This is the biggest aquarium I’ve ever been to! 🐠🐢 The variety of fish and sea creatures is absolutely amazing — from tiny colorful fish to majestic turtles, sharks, and even orcas. Being there gives you such a sense of peace and calm. Watching the water and the slow, graceful movements of the animals is pure relaxation. There’s even a special spot where you can sit, unwind, and just enjoy the beauty of the underwater world. 🌊

Absolutely love this place. Presentations, displays and encounters are all so well done. Great staff always available to answer questions whether how to get somewhere or about the "ambassadors ". The "soak zone" at the dolphin show is legitimately a soak zone, not just a splash zone. We were drenched and loved it. We loved the show on hulu and in person is even better. We spent 3 days over the course of a week there for 5-8 hours each visit. Highly recommend a membership because you can't take it all in in one day and enjoy it the way it's meant to be.

Visited the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta today and it was an unforgettable experience! The moment you walk in, you can feel how much care, effort, and passion goes into making this place truly world-class. The exhibits are beautifully designed, and you can get so close to the marine life that it feels like you’re part of their world. My favorite part was definitely the Ocean Voyager exhibit — seeing the whale sharks glide by the huge viewing window was breathtaking. It’s one of those moments that makes you stop, stay still, and just appreciate how incredible our planet is. The dolphin and sea lion shows were also full of energy and fun, and you can tell the trainers truly love and respect the animals. The staff throughout the aquarium were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Whether you’re a family with kids, a couple, or just exploring solo, there’s something to amaze everyone. There are plenty of places to sit and watch, and the experience feels immersive rather than rushed. Overall, the Georgia Aquarium is a must-visit landmark in Atlanta. It’s educational, inspiring, and simply magical. I would absolutely go again — and next time, I’m booking one of the behind-the-scenes experiences!

Well kept and safe. We visited during a weekday afternoon and found affordable parking just a few blocks away. I do not recommend visiting this area with young children after dark unless you are well escorted. Inside the aquarium you'll find first class accommodations for guests. As you would expect, this is a wonderland for young children to learn more about marine life and explore another part of our planet that might not otherwise be available to them any other way. The aquarium can be fully explored in just one day and in only a few hours if you aren't attending any of the special programs that are offered in addition to the general admission. The venue provides clean restrooms and a cafe area to take a nutrition break or just to sip a beverage and catch your breath. The kids were having a blast and there are hands-on areas as well as many walk through opportunities that allow little ones to crawl through caves for a fun and personal experience made specially for the little tykes. The gift shop is quite expensive, but if you're well funded and looking for a pleasing way to support the aquarium, I'm pretty sure that you'll find quality gifts to share with the members of your family during your visit. Across from the Aquarium is the World of Coca-Cola nostalgia museum, giving those who still have leftover stores of energy and want to move on to the next venue a chance for additional exploration time.

Something free to do during our trip to Atlanta. It was a nice place to take pictures. Checking out the old architecture of the building. A lot of old portraits of old Georgia dignitaries. Staff was very nice. We were able to park at a meter just across the street for a few dollars.

We had the opportunity/honor to visit the Georgia State Capitol in JAN_FY2025 and it was an amazing experience, a great opportunity to learn more about FL's history and legacy. We did a plant tour and for sure it's a remarkable building. We woke up early here in southwest Georgia on Saturday, braving the morning chill as we began to bid farewell to beloved Jimmy Carter. Definitely, it's a place that deserves my respect. It was a privilege.

Free, and they open early, so something to do. It was a nice history and museum. The garden is lovely. The inside was nice, but many areas were corded off.

Been trying to hit all the state capitol buildings and take an inside tour. I think Atlanta make about 10-12. It was a beautiful state house from the outside to inside. The gold dome makes it stand out. The guard was friendly and helpful with any questions. The model of the dome was really cool to show what is actually there since you can't tour it. It was a long walk from the Georgia Aquarium to here, but I'm glad we took the walk.

Attending the Election Integrity Hearing. While we were trying to get rid of the machine, they introduced another machine that could be rigged. IT Experts Garland Favorito and Ricardo Davis said all voting machines we are using can be rigged, and that's why we are fighting to go for paper ballots. One more hearing before the committee will make recommendations, and we're hoping they will approve the paper ballots. I know Kemp will not allow for paper ballots because he wants to rigged the votes. Unfair to votets.

This is a free and perfectly nice place to visit if you have a little time to kill. There wasn’t a ton to see inside (part of the museum floor was closed). I was also unable to see the Senate or House Chambers. The grounds are not very extensive.

Beautiful building with terrific exhibits and access to legislative chambers. Free entry and self guided tour. We arrived on a Friday morning and building was almost empty of visitors. Fourth floor has interesting museum exhibits of Georgia and its history, as well as viewing gallery for both Senate and House chambers. On the third floor you can enter the chambers themselves. In addition to paints of previous legislators and others, remaining floors have great architecture and views if you're interested in that. Well worth spending an hour or two!

This is a really good place to visit if you are in Atlanta and want to understand its past. The location is perfect and the grounds are beautiful. Everyone should see the Cyclorama, the Swan House and Olympics area. There was a great exhibit on Hank Aaron as well. My only negative is that there are too many kids that are allowed to run around the museum and treat it like it is a playground. This is not specific to the kids section. Inside the Swan House, there was a group of half a dozen kids running up and down the stairs. Inside the Hank Aaron exhibit, there was a group of young kids seemingly on a field trip running laps and playing. I don't think I ever saw one museum employee the entire time. It really takes away from the experience of a museum. I also want to point out that the gift shop could use better options also. We were looking for a magnet of the Center and could not find one. This is rare for a museum of this type.

The cyclorama was truly stunning. Words cannot describe the amount of effort the 17 German artists must’ve went through to paint it, and the effort put into preserving it. So happy it was though! The video presentation was great and I would recommend it for a little bit more insight on the history of it. The Swan House was also beautiful, an astonishing statement in architecture and it was fascinating to see what house style house was for people with high status.

My kid had great time in the Goizueta Children’s Experience Place. There were plenty of things to play and my toddler spent almost two hours playing with toys, slide, games etc. The gallery was very spacious and clean, and there was always staff inside to help in case you need anything. This is definitely a favorite place of my family and it is nuce that the Atlanta History Center offers famliy pass so we can revisit anytime.

The Atlanta History Center was genuinely one of the most incredible places I have ever set foot in. We learned so much in the span of the couple hours we were there. As visitors from Orlando, the Atlanta History Center really allowed us to experience Atlanta culture and the rich history that the city has. We did the guided tour of the Smith Farm and our tour guide was great - she also tended the farm along with a man who I don’t remember the name of. Both of them were so sweet and made our trip very memorable. We also got to pet some adorable goats at the farm. The one thing I will say is, get there early and plan to spend the day. We thought we would be able to get through the museum in 3 hours but we weren’t able to explore the gardens and a few of the exhibits due to time. We plan to visit again and explore the rest of the AHC. This visit was the highlight of our trip. Thank you to everyone who makes this place possible, and the experience so surreal. To get to experience this was a privilege.

I always recommend the Atlanta History Center to anyone from out of town. It's a great retelling of the city's history and has several features that add to its unique charm. Between the panorama, the Swan House, and the grounds, a day at the AHC is a day well spent.

Overall, I enjoyed my time at the Atlanta History Center despite some exhibition closures since there is plenty of things to see and learn about the aspects of Atlanta. The Swan House was especially interesting since almost everything in that house are originals dating back to the early 20th century or earlier.

I really enjoyed this place! The BEST museum I have visited in Atlanta thus far! So much history! and so much to see! I will definitely be back God willing! This experience was exceptional! Not to mention, this museum is super clean!

I was impressed at the entrance. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and friendly. There are several great artists work on display. We had a great time. We even enjoyed the spooky lower level.

Very good experience, we got to meet an artist and hear him talk about his pieces. He was also very nice to us and made the group laugh from time to time. We also got to visit one of the artist studios at Atlanta Contemporary right behind it and heard him speak about his pieces. We also got to ask a lot of questions.

Little hidden gem in the Atlanta! It's a free museum with some unique and interesting exhibits. They have some free parking spaces next to and behind the museum. Very friendly employee. They have some local and unique gifts in their gift shop. Nice place to spend half to an hour of time browsing the museum. Come check it out and donate or shop to support the museum!

Free entry, almost no one there when we went, great art. And the gift shop area had some really cool stuff. Also, there were these 2 extra spaces to view art outside of the main gallery so make sure you check the map so you don’t miss anything. My friend told me too that they change the art on display from time to time so I definitely plan to go back again.

I loved my visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden! It’s a large and beautiful place to walk around and explore. Depending on the season you visit, you’ll get a different experience. I went during Halloween, and everything was perfectly themed for fall — such a lovely atmosphere! One of my favorite parts was the Fuqua Orchid Center, absolutely stunning! Still, every area of the garden is worth admiring — the flowers, trees, and plants from so many different species make it a magical place. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some frogs in one of the sections! It’s a wonderful and family-friendly spot to enjoy nature and relax. I truly recommend it! 🌸🌳🍁 Also I’m visiting from Florida.

Although not many flowers were blooming, some of them bloomed particularly the autumn varieties. The pumpkin, scarecrow, and other sculptures stood out and were eye-pleasing to admire which perfect fits the autumn season. I would had a better experience if I went in the springtime and the price of admission was on the higher side.

First time here. Came on a Tuesday around 11am. Mildly busy. There were a lot of leaf blowers running at first and workers everywhere but other than that it was peaceful. It cost $60 for two adults and $17 to park for 5 hours. We spent about 3 hours there. The indoor collections of orchids, plants and trees were our favorite part. Great water features. Overall nice garden. We would get a membership pass if we lived in the area.

The zoo is nice, plenty of activities for children. There appeared to be several animals not in their exhibits, which was slightly disappointing. There was quite a bit of construction going on, however it did not prohibit my movement on the walkway. I saw the entire zoo within two hours. I must add that I was alone therefore I moved much faster than others who were with children, the elderly or with an additional person. They recognize veterans, which is great.

Really nice zoo. Its small but mighty! I have gone with a wide range of people and there is truly something for everyone. From 5 years old to 70 years old, I and my guests have never had a bad experience. I even often go as a solo adult in her thirties and I love spending time here!

Very fun despite the rain. The elephant and gorilla training demos were informative. The bird show was fun and unique. The red panda was very adorable even though she was napping every time I walked over to her exhibit.

Zoo Atlanta was very easy to navigate. They have handicap electric chairs you can rent for $40 all day. The paths are easy to walk or ride. The exhibits are very nice. Plenty of maps, Information and bathrooms spread throughout. They have snack stands a cafe and Ice cream stands. The also have a well equipped children's section that includes a jungle gym, zipline, rides and games. There is a gift shop and plenty of parking which you pay for the day for $12. It was a lot of fun. Very recommended.

We had a great day at Zoo Atlanta. We came on a Sunday around 10am. There was no line to wait in to buy tickets. We spent time at every exhibit and saw animals being active. The animals here look healthy and are given decent sized enclosures. I love the employees who are near exhibits who talk to you about the animals and give you facts and tell you about their conservation efforts. Our kids fed the giraffe, that was a hit! We ate at nourish cafe. The food was good. We had Sonoma burgers and fries and our kids split a chicken finger basket. We also got the refillable souvenir cups. We did everything in the children’s area. Train, carousel, treetop trail, and playground. Our kids had a blast. Lastly, we hit the gift shop. The souvenirs will give you sticker shock but they had a lot of cute stuff. From buying tickets to walking out we spent $300 for a family of 4.

Today, Monday, we went to the zoo and had a great time learning more about the animals and their habitats, their environment, and their care. Everything was clean and well-organized. Highly recommended! The three lion brothers, the giraffes, the elephants, the Sumatran tiger, and all the other animals that live in this great zoo were spectacular. You can have a great day out with the family. Highly recommended.

Overall it is a nice zoo and has a lot of trees and shade and enough variety of animals so it is a pleasant place to walk around and spend the day. It is smaller than many other USA big city zoos, though, as I've seen mentioned in the other comments. For those familiar with Chicago zoos, it is closer to the size of Lincoln Park Zoo rather than the much more spacious Brookfield Zoo.

🇺🇸 Visiting the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library was a truly inspiring experience. The museum is beautifully designed and offers a thoughtful look into President Carter’s life, legacy, and the values he stood for. The exhibits are informative, well-curated, and easy to follow—even if you’re not a history buff, there’s so much to learn and appreciate here. I was especially moved by the focus on human rights and global peace. The surrounding garden and peaceful atmosphere made the visit even more special. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in Atlanta. 5 stars without a doubt!

I would think the Carter center is the crown jewel of Atlanta. I finally met President Carter for the time, but unfortunately, not the way that I originally wanted. I attended the memorial service on January 6, 2025 when President Carter was lying in repose. It allowed me to tour the Carter Center which exhibits are the visual biography of President Carter. Not only is the Carter Center beautiful, but also its surrounding areas.

I gave 4 stars because I dont think there is enough engagement for children. 5 stars if only adults go. On par with the Johnson museum. Not as good as Reagan's. Excellent after-presidency information. Honest. Includes the tough parts and short-comings of the administration. Wish the Oval Office still looked as American as this one.

Nice, smaller than other Presidential libraries visited. Located in a quiet section east of downtown. Organized very well; starts with a 15 minute looping video; proceeds through his life - presidency - final 4 decades of humanitarian service as well as Roselyn’s service and assistance. He refused to be defined by 4 years as president, just a fraction of his 100 years. Worked with Habitat for Humanity for 25 years; Carter Center forging free and fair elections and Guinea worm eradication are just some of his post presidency accomplishments. He was a fine man who never forgot his roots.

Visited as a walk in on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait. The exhibits are interesting and seeing part of the library was a great highlight of the museum. Additionally walking around the property is a great experience on its own. There’s also a college student discount which is a plus.

I visited while President Carter was still with us, and following his passing in late 2024, the museum stands as an even more powerful testament to his lifetime of service. His work through The Carter Center, his commitment to Habitat for Humanity, and his dedication to global peace truly exemplify a life lived in service to others. A must-visit for anyone interested in presidential history, humanitarian work, or understanding how one person's dedication to public service can impact millions of lives worldwide.

Interesting museum which provides good insight into Jimmy Carter, his presidency and his (early) life. It feels like some information is omitted, however, to make it look better. For example on his loss after his first term. Because of this, it feels like the picture that is painted is not complete. Still worth a visit.

SkyView Atlanta is a fun little experience, especially for kids who enjoy the novelty of riding a big Ferris wheel. The gondolas are enclosed and feel safe, so families can relax while enjoying the views. The ride itself is pretty short, though, and the views are decent but not spectacular compared to other spots in the city. It’s on the pricey side for what you get, but if you’re visiting with children, they’ll probably enjoy it.

Towering nearly 20 stories above Centennial Park, the SkyView Ferris wheel features 42 climate-controlled cars providing guests with breathtaking views of downtown Atlanta, Centennial Park, College Football Hall of Fame and the surrounding metropolitan area. Budget friendly $21 for 4 spins on the wheel . Best views are suggested at night .

See the city of Atlanta and Centennial Park from up high in the sky 🌌 I was truly impressed with the easy and affordability of the ticket. There was no line. The carts are big enough to fit a group of four comfortably. And once you’re done, head to Energy’s Eats and grab a funnel cake or a drink. Highly recommending you take this journey whether you’re a resident or a tourist.

SkyView Atlanta was such a fun experience! The Ferris wheel itself is super cool, and I loved being able to see the city from above. The only downside was that it had rained earlier in the day, so the windows weren’t the clearest and the view wasn’t as great as it could’ve been. Still, it was a really nice experience overall, and I’d definitely come back on a clearer day for the full view!

It was cool. I went in the afternoon due to it raining the 2 evenings I was there. It wasn’t packed when I went so there was no line paid $21 just for me. The seats are enclosed not open like a fair Ferris wheel and it was air conditioned. Went around 3/4 times and they made sure each rider was stopped at the top once.

Based off of general consensus 👉 2 out of 3 of us thought it was AMAZING! The experience: Arrive, wait in line for tickets (you can save a significant amount if you have a large party and order online, gondolas seat up to 6, there's no special entry for online ticket holders), purchase ticket's, wait in line while they shuffle people in & out of over 42 gondolas. Once the ferris wheel is filled w/ new passengers it does 3 full rotations. I found it a little monotonous, but it's fun finding out how uncomfortable some people are w/ heights 😂 For $20, it's a decent add-on attraction to your Atlanta experience (take caution if you walk there in the middle of the night 😬) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I probably would've said 3 ⭐'s myself, but it's affordable and my crew really enjoyed it! I enjoyed seeing them have fun . . . and freak out a little bit 🎡😁

Skyview was a cool 7 minute experience. We went during the day. We went the night prior and it started to thunder, lightning and storm so they shut down. It’s air conditioned and you have the option to get off by pressing a button in case you don’t want to go around 3 times. There is street parking for a few dollars or parking lots you can pay upwards of $20 and more. Pictures are $36, they have VIP, roses and bears too. Cool to do once.

Interesting museum. great that it's free and that one of the points of interest are the uniform of a soldier who photographed some of the atrocities committed during the course of the war. The only thing that concerned me was the fact that in the documentary you watch before proceeding the rest of the exhibit it doesn't mention the fact that America refused to take Dutch Jews in out of fear they could be spies. Aside from that I liked it and would recommend visiting the museum should you ever visit Sandy Springs.

What can I say? Very educational, informative and displayed photos of Anne Frank’s family in chronological order. My dad was in the army in World War II in Germany and France and Belgium. It really touched my heart. Brave young girl, brave family.

Who knew about place in Atlanta! We all know about Anne Frank but I sure learned a few more details by stopping here. Interesting place to spend a hour. People that run the museum were friendly. Start with a short film. Definitely worth a stop.

The museum includes a 20 minute video about Anne, her family and Europe before and during WW II. There is a display of over 70 large panels documenting the family and events throughout Europe. A nice touch is the bookcase through which you enter this exhibit. There is a replica of "the hiding place" as well as her room. There is a display by William Alexander Scott III included. Admission is FREE.

A great little museum to fill an hour or two with. The photos and documentary were informative. A good intoductory place to learn about the Holocaust and more about Anne Frank.

Amazing park — super clean, well-maintained, and beautiful. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms since it’s more of a spot for local residents.

I went here at night with family it was pretty to me. Some things I think would be best to view during the day for example the murals. I say this because I like art and without proper lighting it just look dull in some spots. It is busy but everyone was respectful of the walk ways and each other. To my fellow introverts while this is not typical it was fun. But if you do want to go it might be best to go when it's not that busy with foot traffic. I think you would enjoy it.

Beautiful scenery and a spacious grassy area perfect for relaxing or picnicking. The landscaping is well-maintained and makes for a peaceful escape in the city. The only downside is that the walkway can get super crowded on nice days, so be prepared for some foot traffic.

Was here at Mason's Super Dogs Grand opening on the beltline, Young teenage entrepreneur. Second location? Other location in DeKalb County. This location on the Beltline by the skatepark is an amazing place to have these wonderful, tasty hot dogs and he has a vegan dog so he has something for everybody

Great spot to relax and eat with a blanket or chairs.. Also a great spot to meditate 🧘‍♀️. Parking is free but limited around the park.

Beautiful and clean setting! Surrounded by upscale restaurants in a safe area.

This is a wonderful park with only one downfall, and that's all the homeless people. This one guy full out did his laundry and was letting it dry by the fountain. This is too nice of a place for Atlanta and it's residents and tourists to let it go like that. I'm sure there are churches and shelters for this people to go. The police need to direct them to the right location and not here.

Nice city park, nice greenage. Nice little outside gym area for workouts and a playground for kids and a center area for events. Good meeting place too. Just a fair amount of homeless here.

This park is total fill up with the homeless people. Last night at around 9 clock, a lady was screaming and no one decided to look inside as it was too dark, the park does not have light. I don't blame people who didn't go to check as we check our safety first.I was just worried what if a homeless people drag a lady or student to the park and doing something bad. Please install light in the park so if something happens people can see and call for help.

The park is good, especially with its unique fountains. However, the place is quite dirty and has an unpleasant smell. The Atlantic City authorities should address these issues

A beautiful park in Downtown Atlanta. Fountains everywhere. Nice benches to sit. However, did not find the place safe. The park is filled with homeless people. Hence would not recommend to visit here anytime after late evening.

This is not an accessible park. I was disappointed as the picture does not represent what the place has become. I wanted to enjoy Chess with my son. Unfortunately, it is over ran with homeless people. Sad sight.

Great experience, a true palace of democracy, sad that in the modern day the public servants there, do not follow the principles of it. Instead degrading into corruption, immature and disgusting philosophies that bring shame to this great nation! When did the young generation stop learning from their ancestors? Building on their knowledge instead of completely disregarding it. Even though technologically they might have been less advanced in philosophy and leadership they have far eclipsed any of today.

The Georgia Capitol Museum is similar to other Capitol museums, but still worth a visit. The building itself is impressive and quiet, with hardly anyone around. We enjoyed walking through, taking photos, and exploring the historic space.

Tour was kind of basic and very short. Museum is ok but kind of bare bones, but gives a brief overview on Georgia history. I did enjoy however, getting to actually go in Governor Kemp’s office and seeing where the high ranking politicians in Georgia work. I’m a bit surprised this is allowed post January 6th but grateful for the opportunity nonetheless. For a free tour it’s worth the trip.

It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Atlanta. Visited with family and friends during our recent visit to Atlanta. Immaculately maintained building, as well as the surrounding park. It was a wonderful experience to go through the museum,ñ with an insight into the history of Georgia. Some portions were closed due to renovation. Added attraction was visiting the Senate and House Galleries, which are open for public on specific days and time. There is no entree fee. A must visit.

Very well maintained gov building. Clean and friendly place for family visit at no cost. Parking is expensive $13/3hours or you can park somewhere on the street where allows. There is a small museum/collection on 4th floor about GA and local nature. This building also has a very nice front yard

Lots of artifacts and Georgia history in the building and architecture, as well as various displays throughout. An interesting experience, you’re welcome to sit quietly and watch the state legislators at work. Security was quick and efficient, and once you’re inside you self guide around the whole building.

Not the best Capitol Building I have visited. I think the exterior is quiet boring. Otherwise, the colors are beautiful and the museum on the fourth floor is also great. I had the opportunity to enter the representative chamber but the senate one was locked. The appropriation chamber was also open

Went for tour of new apartment complex. Great location for dining and light shopping. There are various forms of artwork and other creative items on the bottom floor throughout the complex. Just a few minutes from downtown.

Amazing place. I used to come here to take photos when I was a Photography student. Every inch of this place there’s a discovery to be made. I get nostalgic every time I see this place on The Hunger Games. Before it was a low key place - now it’s been built up a little and popular music venue and filming location.

If you want an iconic shot of the ATL, this is one of the best possible choices! There’s just enough space to park on the north side of the overpass but put on your emergency blinkers! Expect some other people to be there trying to take photos, keep it friendly and respectful of the neighborhood 👍.

Pretty easy to get to. This is where the opening scene of The Walking Dead is filmed. Lovely view of the skyline from here. You can get nice light trail photos at night with long exposures.

This bridge is a much of Atlanta then anything I can think of . Homage to MLK is within walking distance. Parks are all around the place. It’s just a wonderful spot. It’s difficult to get the skyline of Atlanta because of all the foliage you know the city in the forest yeah we like that.

What a wonderful thing to have in ATL! Before my trip, I researched a ton and saw the Tiny Doors pop up pretty quickly and found it so interesting. I was in ATL for 6 days and was able to get 10 doors while doing other touristy things as well. There’s a whole website dedicated to the Tiny Doors created by the creator which provides a Google Maps link to finding the doors, about the Tiny Doors history, a PDF with each door’s address an in numbered order too. In total, I think there’s about 37, but at least when I was there 4 were under repair. Also, keep in mind majority are numbered and outside, but there are around 4 that are inside actual places like the Fernbank Museum, Georgia Aquarium, etc. Overall, a very fun scavenger hunt thing to do if you’ve got time and something I’ll definitely continue when I return to ATL!

What an amazing event to go on the Tiny Door tour!! I have always loved seeing the tiny doors in the unexpected places all over the Beltline! Favorite part is hearing from the artist herself, tell her story!! We even created tiny doors for my neighbors when I visited the Tiny Door Shop a couple years ago, photo attached. Going on the Tiny Doors tour with Karen and then seeing the Tiny Doors studio was a wonderful experience! You will only see a handful on this tour, but you will take away tones of fascinating information! The tiny doors are absolute gems in Atlanta, something that no other city has. And to hear Karen talk about how she landed on the idea for the tiny doors, and what it takes to locate and create one, is really impressive. I learned a bit about what it takes to create a public piece of art and all the thoughts that go into each of the pieces. Weather, people, and other environmental things, along with ongoing maintenance, need to be taken into consideration. Karen also explained what she hopes her art evokes in those who get to view it. In addition, she talked about how some of the pieces have "changed" their surroundings. Very interesting! I dabble in art and a lot of what Karen talked about regarding her art has never crossed my mind. I found her to be fascinating and mindful of not just her art but the effect her art has on people and on the surrounding area. Visiting the Tiny Doors studio was an added plus. The studio is very cute, as it should be for such cute art projects, and it is very well organized which has to translate into efficient. I hope new Tiny Doors continue to pop up around the Atlanta area. They are all precious and I can't wait to see each other as they are installed. Thanks, Karen, for a magical morning!

Outstanding. We saw 5 Tiny Doors our last visit, a week in Atlanta, and plan to see more our next visit. We coupled the Tiny Door stops with something else to do in that area. We were fortunate to also be in town, to stop by the studio, meet the artist, Karen Anderson Singer (super talented, passionate and friendly), and her staff.All lovely. We added lunch to the store in Atlantic Station and after buying the t-shirt (love, love due to it's slim yet longer style and logo) and smaller tote (love) , we had a nice lunch and did some other shopping while there. I read a review from someone saying their kids were bored and they scored the "museum" a 1. ATLTinyDoors is SO much more! Follow the map, find the doors, see the places they are attached to. One is at a children's Center for Puppetry Art, another at the Fox Theater. We plan on doing the bike tour next to discover more TinyDoors.The story, the cause- public art, the discovery and exploring Atlanta make Tiny Doors ATL a 5/5.

Atlanta’s best kept secret, because most would agree that it’s a mystery to find. I can say that, as I am quite familiar with Atlanta. It’s almost something that you stumble upon by mistake. This place is an artist and photographer’s dream. Every turn is a new slab of graffiti. You may even see a model doing a photo shoot. This place is also dog friendly. Plenty of walking, biking and jogging. Almost too many bikers and scooters honestly. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from as well.

Definitely a MUST SEE!! Variety of authentic small businesses, breweries, food hubs, bars and cigars! Fun events and walking trail with historic art and grandeur! Charming and adventurous for the entire family

Amazing concept connecting housing, shops, restaurants and more in a 22 mile radius. Still in development. Perfect for a nice weather day to walk or bike a few miles or more! Impressive artwork along the way. Fun people watching, ton of action and life in motion. Be careful to stay to one side of the road while walking or you risk getting mowed over by some sort of bike or scooter!

Lovely place for an afternoon walk. Away from the chaos of the city. Beautiful and unique art to see all along the path. There was even a jazz musician playing when I was there. Friendly people- a mix of tourists and locals. There’s a lot of shops and restaurants where you can stop along the way. And there’s parts of it that are green where you feel like you’re no longer in a city

Whenever I want to go for a long walk. I go to the Atlanta Beltline. I walked for 3 hours and took pictures. It's a little crowded these days. But overall always a good walk.

Great way to spend some time outside. There's a large assortment of food, graffiti art and green space.

First time going and had a lot of fun watching North Star Boys the my granddaughters birthday present from there step dad everyone had a blast.

Attending a concert at Masquerade Heaven with my teen daughter and her friends. TICKET TIMES ARE NOT WHEN THE CONCERT STARTS!!! That's when the doors open. We arrived at 4:30 for a 7:00 ticket time and walked around a DEAD downtown area until we decided to go back to the garage and sit in our car so we'd have air conditioning. There are NO BATHROOMS on site, except inside the concert venue and nearby restaurants will not let you utilize theirs without buying something. The "shopping area" of Underground is all closed until after concerts are over. However, we felt completely safe walking around and concertgoers (Crane Wives concert) were all very friendly and courteous. Security staff is also friendly and courteous.

To be honest, Underground Atlanta didn’t impress us at all. It felt a bit empty and lacked the charm or energy we were expecting. We were hoping for more atmosphere and interesting spots to explore.

This place has a fantastic atmosphere with a photo area. The bartenders are top-notch! I loved that there were multiple rooms, each offering a different genre of music. There was something for everyone. However, I felt the DJs didn't quite keep the crowd engaged. The music selection was ok but the energy could have been higher. Overall, a fun spot with potential if they fine-tune the DJ experience!

If you're talking about the Masquerade and it's concert venues, heaven, hell, purgatory and altar then the Underground Atlanta is awesome. The parking is right next to the venue so it is easy in and out of the place in bad weather conditions or any bad conditions. This is a newer incarnation of the Masquerade so the venues are all still clean and somewhat updated

Wanted to check the place out, but showed up early and nothing was open, will likely visit again not-so-early when I'm in the area again.

It’s a bit sad to see this place died. I can see a lot of shops here are closed and I can imagine how good it was.

Someone from the high museum of art atlanta recommended it after we made it late there, the staff were friendly and helpful. Everything looked really fun and artsy, even the restroom. It was my first time visiting the museum and my mom participated in a few activities that they had. I hope to go back with some money for the gift shop and look around that part, I didn't have time for that part. I recommend going with friends, family, a date, a solo date, as a school trip, etc.

This museum is a short walk from the High Museum. It's much smaller, but wow, information overload. You first walk into a boutique/souvenir type room; prices are reasonable, and nothing was tacky. Purchased a candle. See the painstaking tapestry of history. Get a clip board and complete a scavenger hunt. The exhibit changes, so go often. The weather and effects on the ozone were elaborated through models of art. My favorite was the yarn of coral reefs and the brain. BTW, they have two interactive stations. Just amazing and entrance fee is only $10.

It is amazing. I love it. I take my daughter there a lot all the different exhibits are really cool and you and we can’t wait for the next exhibit. The chocolate tasting is amazing and the craft room I would say it’s a little bit of an activity that could be. Only an hour, but besides that it’s really good if you wanna come and study You can stay all day. The membership is the best I would say if you’re coming back. show me downside is it’s pretty small and it’s not a long activity but otherwise I would recommend going not if you want a whole day

Came here for the chocolate exhibit. Really sweet staff. There's a clear effort to make activities interactive. Space was a bit small, so I hope this expands! 🍫🎉

I just enjoyed a wonderful lecture, discussion and sampling tonight of Jardi Chocolates, a small batch sole proprietor female-owned company who makes amazing BonBons and turtles, as part of the MODA exhibit about the history and evolution from around the globe of our favorite treat! Did you know that cacoa beans are actually a fruit that only grows within 10°- 20° +/- north or south of the equator?! This is a fascinating interactive space that explains the origins and applications of our cacoa. Talk was super informative. Look up their other exhibits and programs and definitely take a swing by. It's a small space so nice to stop in for an hour or so. I'll be back for the history of the hoodie exhibit planned later this year. Wonderful gift shop! Many great gifts ideas.

A fun, small exhibit on chocolate. They jam pack a lot of information in the space, and had samples as well.

It's small but mighty! Stopped during a stroll Saturday and picked up some very unique gifts for my nieces and nephews AND learned about and got to taste wonderful chocolates as a part of the current exhibit. I think they said the next exhibit was on Hoodies... can you imagine how cool that could be in a city like the A?!?!

This place is amazing. I did get a lost a few times (since I was not familiar with the area) I asked a few people where to go to see the springs and no one quite knew where to go since it has so many trails. In the end, a guy with a shrek beanie guided me right to the springs where I got these beautiful pictures. So thankful to have ran into him, as he was so helpful. What I thought was a long path to get to the springs, was nothing but a short walk from the parking lot. I recommend it and the trail to the springs is kid friendly (:

Nice trail with wooden pathways, as well as off road trails that lead westward towards the creek on the perimeter of the preserve. Many head cuts to keep the water flowing & the trickle audible. Plenty of tables/benches along the way to rest upon. On the northern perimeter, there's a mini waterfall. This is a well shaded area, provided by the luscious foliage. Most of the trails have large stepping stones or tree roots protruding outward as you move upwards in elevation (this is a good thing). I eventually paralleled the creek & traversed a mile into the woods when I saw to juvenile bucks (1-2 years old).

What a great intown preserve. This is fairly large. It's about 140 acres. There are trails choices so a person can walk on the flat besides a stream or tackle hills, though the total incline is less than feet. There are no maps on site and the blazing could be better, but the space is beautiful and suitable for all ages and abilities. This is really about walking only. No motor anything and few biking opportunities. There are ruined buildings and a waterfall as well. There is no restroom. There is some parking, but especially on weekends it fills. In dry weather, wheelchair accessibility is limited, but possible. When wet, avoid in wheelchairs.

I had no idea this city park was tucked back here! What an urban oasis! Easy to park with shade, currently some construction on the road before entrance but that’s minor. Super shady getaway compared to the Beltline, there’s tables great for a picnic. Minus the ants, it’s not too buggy! If it’s rained, be prepared for mud. HUGE TIP! Take your phone, there’s decent cell and gps service which you might want to help orient yourself with the creek and parking lot. A lovely, but easy place to get lost as there’s no trail map or clear markers for direction. If you want to see the waterfall, turn left at the little replica church. If you want to explore, a good route starts by the picnic tables and you can eventually weave yourself all the way around to end at the waterfall. Happy hiking!

Love this cute little nature preserve! Has a few different trails that interchange and a creek with huge rocks throughout.

This trail was not hard. There were a couple of climbs, but wrong it was easy. Small little waterfall where you can climb on the rocks and just breathe.💜

This is such a cool place to go that has lots of great different food options. It is a great food market! The atmosphere is really fun. There is also some upscale shopping you and look through if you are interested in but I would recommend if you wanted to get several small things to share in a group or if you want a quick bite.

The market offers a good variety of food options with plenty of seating available. I especially appreciated the water station and public restrooms, and the whole place was very clean and well-maintained.

We did a food tour that started here. We had food from 3 different restaurants in the market. We had a pastry from Little Tart Bake Shop, a chicken sandwich from a soul food place and some Yummy food from an Indian restaurant. Everything was great and it’s a cool atmosphere right on the beltline.

Sharing the 5 food we got from this market and I think we made pretty good choices. 1. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream - one the best desserts ever, they combine cake or other desserts like brittles with ice cream, the brown butter almond brittle ice cream is superb and has a nice almond essence, gooey butter cake ice cream is heavenly. 2. Gu’s Dumplings - I don’t quite believe their advertised testimony that they’re one of the top Chinese restos nor the top dumpling in the USA, but yes they’re excellent. 3. El Cubano - the flank steak cubano bowl is generous with the tender steak strips with good flavor, comes with a fried plantain as a good Cuban dish should. 4. Fred’s Meat & Bread - one of the best Philly Cheesesteak we’ve had hands down. 5. Soul: Food & Culture - saved the best for last, their fried turkey wing is incredible in taste and size (about 8 or 9 inches), side dishes were very good also (spaghetti marinara with parmesan, corn bread, cole slaw).

This is such a fantastic atmosphere. Lots of great options! Seating was a bit challenging but it was worth the wait. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

This is a food hall with multiple food options and a bar. There's also a drink market with beer, wine and THC drinks called Hop city inside. Plenty of parking available in the parking lot. Parking is paid. There's also a Tesla supercharger station in the parking lot. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. There's restrooms available inside.

This was a really nice market with good food to offer. I went to Fred’s for a Philly and Jeni’s for ice cream. Delicious food! Good sitting space.

Nothing unusual or different. They buy stuff by bulk and put higher prices on it. I did buy a slice of flan 5.99, high price and not all that. But we walked around.

This plaza is a gem. I absolutely recommend this place. Its like a giant Hispanic mall with a Ross attached. There are endless stalls, of clothing, audio, jewelry, makeup, barber, beauty salons, artisan products, restaurants, a huge game room for families, Ice cream shops, bakeries and the list goes on. I had the most pleasant time here. I've never seen anything like this place. Think a Mexican outdoor market but in a building. Fantastic! The food was superb.

As an angelino driving through the south this plaza caught my attention! It was incredible to see how beautiful and fun this plaza is . There is plenty of delicious food and snacks but also a huge free jungle gym for kids to play in the food court . It reminded me of an indoor swap meet like we have back home in LA . If you’re a visitor from out of state definitely worth the pit stop.

A very diverse place indeed and well, it's worth the visit if you do have lots of money to spend. Only complaint is how everything here is expensive. Want ice-cream, it's around 10 bucks. Apart from everything expensive, the food it GREAT! Of course, there are some restaurants who serve their tortillas like they were stone and well not all do. I recommend maybe placing a order by phone since yeah you will be waiting some time for your food.

Needed a cowboy hat for last minute horse back riding activity and oh boy was it was so many options. Felt like I was in Lil Mexico haha. Definitely will be returning as I saw various products I’m interested in and a most stop for any Mexican gears.

Fun plaza with a truly Mexican flair. A collection of Mexican stores that range from numerous hair salons, to cloths, western-ware, restaurants, audio, bakeries, cosmetics, sporting goods, and even tattoo parlors. Most store have been subdivided to provide smaller shopping spaces and allow for more stores. Plaza is clean and well managed with numerous mall police. Great place for a change of pace. Prices are good.

Went to Planet Fitness (Asst. Mgr. Parris and the crew were super helpful and professional) to get a quick workout in and then over to Talpa Supermercado (so organized and everyone was helpful)to pick up a few grocery items and a couple chicken empanadas for a yummy post-workout snack. A low-key area that is so easy to come to!

Attended the USPS First Day Issue of the Jimmy Carter stamp on the occasion of his 101st birthday. The venue was most befitting our 39th president. The USPS issued ceremonial programs, pins, and sold first day postal items for cancellation.

It happened to be raining when our IVLP program group visited The Carter Center. The area is breathtaking and would have been great place to walk if it wasn’t raining. The Center is great to hold meetings and the staff are super friendly and nice. Thank you for hosting us.

As a family photographer in Atlanta, I loved capturing these photos at The Carter Center. A wonderful place to spend a day learning about Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter. They were 2 amazing, kind, loving people that dedicated their lives to helping others.

The only thing that wasn't good about it was the older black man that was sitting at the desk when you walked in. As soon as we walked in he asked "where y'all trying to go?" and then just pointed downstairs. Really grumpy old man. Maybe his arthritis was acting up or something. I have it too sir but I have pain pills for mine. I didn't act like that. Everything and everyone else was great.

Another peaceful tranquil walk with the beautifully kept gardens here. Great place to forget any troubles one may feel another great morning walk around the memorial lake here. The market day is one of my favorite times every Sat morning and it very kids and leashed dogs friendly too.

Recommended. Really well done, beautiful place. Nice grounds and really large interior, very well laid out showing the history of the Carters and their work. And of course the presidency. Also has special exhibits. Great for a half-day trip and then down the street to Hattie B's. Good day!

Great street art spot - overall pretty clean, well-lit and wide. Plenty safe to run or bike through especially during day. Nice diagonal crosswalk on north side. Getting stuck in here in your car is annoying but fun to walk through. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re already in the midtown beltline.

This place was really cool... it reminds me of Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas because you can add your own tags/artwork. We visited Georgia for my daughter’s graduation and were traveling with friends. On departure day, we went our separate ways because we had separate flights, so we thought it was hilarious when we ran into each other in the tunnel. See 1st video 🤣. Definitely worth going to see, especially if you're looking for something to do for free.

Such a cool spot! I'd seen photos all over social media of this iconic Atlanta tunnel, but experiencing it in person was even better. From what I heard from friends, this tunnel has been a canvas for local artists for decades, connecting the Cabbagetown and Inman Park neighborhoods. The experience was incredible - as you walk through the tunnel, you're surrounded by layers upon layers of street art. Every surface is covered with vibrant pieces, from small tags to massive murals. I got lucky during my visit and actually saw an artist working on a new piece, which was fascinating to watch! The best part? The art doesn't stop at the tunnel. Following the path south (thanks to a local friend's tip), I discovered that the street art continues in both directions. Whether you turn right or left, the walls are filled with all kinds of amazing artwork. The subjects range from abstract designs to portraits, political messages to playful characters. Pro tip I picked up from other visitors: it's best to visit during daytime for better photos and to fully appreciate the details in the artwork. I've heard the art changes frequently, so each visit offers something new to discover. This is definitely one of those authentic Atlanta experiences that shows why this city has such a reputation for incredible street art. Can't wait to go back and see what new pieces have appeared!

I have no idea why this place is marked as a tourist destination on some sites. I don’t get it. What is there? It’s dingy, short, and has a scent that is eerily similar to urine. Don’t get me wrong it definitely suffices as a tunnel. For that, I give it 3 stars.

This museum is a hidden gem of Atlanta. It's educational, interesting and uncrowded. I took my first grade class here on a field trip to learn about the history of paper and paper making and we had an excellent time. The staff was very helpful and nice.

One of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to! If you’re a writer and a book lover, you have to see this place. I learned a lot about Paper Making from clay tablets to book binding. Entrance is free and it’s so worth the time. It was also easily accessible by bus.

If you are the kind of person who thinks you would enjoy a museum dedicated to paper making, then you will likely greatly enjoy this museum. Covers both history and technology, lots of actual artifacts, machines, and materials from papyrus to modern day mills. No cost to enter, but a donation box where you should put a few dollars per person. I was the only one there on a Thursday afternoon.

I bring my kindergartners every year to learn about how trees are made into paper and how we can recycle products to make new paper. They always love all the activities, even though short. Getting to make their own piece of recycled paper is always a hit!

You may think.. "Oh boring, a papermaking museum"... Well, that's not true!! It really is amazing how much paper has evolved, and how much we take it for granted! Not only do they have the museum but the also offer workshops.. Very neat place!

Amazing place unfortunately most people living in Atlanta don’t know that this place exists, in addition to the great collection of books, there’s a remarkable collection of watermarks, papers, tools, machines , and manuscripts.

Visited museum on a Tuesday afternoon. No wait, no cost of admission, and my sons' wheelchairs fit just fine. A significant part of the museum was closed as they set up a new exhibio, apparently, as we didn't see any of the big names cited in other reviews. We budgeted two hours and were done in about 30 minutes. I guess the lesson for me is to always call ahead.

Enjoyed my visit to OUMA today. Went for Stories Without an End exhibit and though it was a small exhibit, that and the Oglethorpe campus were very nice. The sculptures were beautiful with great info worth further research. A great Sunday afternoon activity- I recommend it.

Enjoyed a visit here while at Oglethorpe for Alumni weekend. Enjoyed the talk by the artist in residence. Worth a quick visit if in the area.

What a jam of a place. The small gallery puts on some great exhibits. We enjoyed the Chicano art that we saw and learned a lot. And it was free.

It's a small space but some significant works. They do a great job with the artist bios and their place in history.

Had to come here for a school assignment. A very small place but so informative. A lot of the paintings make you reflect and think and there is also a lot of memoirs here from so many people. I loved the art and thou I am not artistic myself, the atmosphere still put me in an awe mood and brought many thoughts of times before me.

Fantastic exhibit and free! Art from the inside refers to art created in prison. What a great concept, with positive outcomes. We were satisfied beyond our expectations and will return with friends.

Now known as the Thomas Taylor Memorial Skatepark. Lots of transition/bowl elements without much in the way of street obstacles. The bowl stuff is still very relevant but the design of the street elements is pretty dated. Could use some enhancements to modernize it a bit like they did with the big skatepark in Louisville.

The sculpture, Wake, is the brainchild of Mel Chin, a multifaceted artist, filmmaker, and environmentalist who seeks to spark conversations around social issues through his conceptual work. This piece, Wake, depicts Jenny Lind, a renowned opera singer from the 19th century, who gained fame in the film The Greatest Showman. Born in Sweden, Jenny Lind rose from poverty to become a celebrated opera singer, known as the Swedish Nightingale. At the pinnacle of her career in the 1850s, she toured the United States under the auspices of P.T. Barnum, a prominent circus owner. Her popularity was so profound that a clipper ship, USS Nightingale, was named in her honor, with its masthead fashioned in her likeness. However, the Nightingale had a dark history as a slave trader. This dichotomy is where the concept intersects with social issues. On the Atlanta BeltLine, Jenny is positioned facing the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. on Auburn Avenue.

Attended the park for the first time for an event. It was clean and the glass was soft.

Really nice in town park that was created only a few years ago. There are nice residents nearby if anybody wants to live in apartments in the city. Lots of skateboarders come from everywhere. So very diverse crowd here. Also a great place for families to come to have picnics and if you want to hang out with some friends and lay out picnic blanket with goodies. Great place for walking with dogs. Easy access to loss of shopping and restaurants and coffee shops.

The skatepark is always clean. It Leads right to the beltline trail. Normally I see people laying out on the green grass taking in the sun.

Really unique and quiet spot in the heart of Atlanta. My dogs enjoyed the water and edge that almost felt like a beach! Lots of artwork and picnic tables, a perfect little getaway that’s not far from downtown. I went around 7am on a Saturday and was the only person.

Nice little preserve with a 3 mile easy , paved/ wooden planked trail . The preserve situated amidst residential buildings and need to cross driveways. Better to take binoculars or camera as there are many birds . Small kitchen garden is nice

Great natural area that’s easy to access. Easy <2 mile path along marsh areas with lots of raised boardwalks and bridges along a tributary to Nancy Creek. Wasn’t too busy even on a sunny Saturday. The rock stair may be difficult for those with mobility issues but the rest of the paths were wide and flat.

This place was so beautiful and has so much potential. The office was closed sadly and the turtle pound was neglected but everything was beautiful! It was an amazing adventure and great for walking. There was art, bridges, a garden, swamp, and rabbits!

Great place to stroll with your pet and enjoy the peaceful environment. Nice trails and gardens with beautiful flower plantings. Exhibits displayed in the center of the park.

Blue Heron Nature Preserve offers a quiet and restorative escape tucked into the heart of Atlanta. Parking was easy and close to the trailhead, making it a stress-free start. The walk begins on a boardwalk that winds through shaded greenery and invites you to slow down and settle into the rhythm of the space. What stood out was how quickly the city disappeared. Though the preserve sits near a major road and is surrounded by urban development, it feels far removed. Birdsong replaces traffic noise and the dense foliage wraps around you like a soft barrier. The air feels cooler and calmer, and the sounds of the city fade into the background. It is not a long hike but it is enough to reset your senses and remind you that nature still thrives in unexpected places. If you are looking for a short walk that delivers peace without a long drive, Blue Heron is worth it. It feels more remote than it is and that illusion makes the experience even better. You leave feeling refreshed and a little more connected to the quieter parts of the world.

This is a surprising nature space in the heart of Atlanta. I was fortunate to visit early on a weekday, and was pleased that it was not overly crowded. The trail signs could use some improvement (I guess most visitors are regulars so it doesn't matter), but the habitat around the trail is diverse and there is plenty to see.

Little Shop of Stories is such a gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and it feels like stepping into a storybook. The staff is always so kind, helpful, and genuinely passionate about books, which makes the experience even better. My kids love exploring the children’s section—it’s magical and full of imagination—and I always find something special for myself too. It’s the perfect place for readers of all ages, and we’re so lucky to have it in our community! 📚✨

Quaint bookstore at the heart of downtown Decatur. This bookstore has charm and character. Friendly staff. It’s a nice bookstore especially for children’s books.

Absolutely loved this store! It’s predominantly a children’s book store that hold different types of events. They have book reading and meet and greets. They even have local writers that work at the store. Amazing customer service and an amazing little shop. Will return .

So cute!! I loved the personality of the shop. There was something for everyone, but especially for children and babies. I left with a book I hadn’t expected to find and a few funny/cute stickers to give to my friends. Would definitely come here again!
