Cute place but would only return for the water front seating. The food was either super good or left on the plate due to flavor or cooking style. The okra has pokey stuff in it that got stuck in my throat and the rice pilaf left a lot to be desired. The gator bites and the corn balls were a standout though. Notes: You cannot be seated until your whole party is there. Huge parking lot but lots of pot holes so slow down as you come towards it. Google will try to send you through a trailer park, instead keep driving straight when it wants to to turn in. It will reroute you.

$14 gets you SIX pieces of shrimp. The fried shrimp platter came with two sides (I got double fries) and two (small) hush puppies. The food itself wasn’t bad, though I didn’t care for the batter on the shrimp. I just can’t get over the fact that a $14 platter gets you six small to medium shrimps. I definitely left hungry.

The breading on the shrimp, oysters was crispy and great flavor. Large shrimp, great cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. Good view of the river from deck which is built around trees. The unique corn ribs had good flavor. The deck and windows Need a good cleaning but the food is good.

Our waitress was very nice and had a great sense of humor. Everything was cooked properly, had good flavor and not stingy with the portions. Lol We sat out on the patio and had a nice little breeze on a hot day. They also have fans mounted and adjustable to make it more pleasant on those hot hot days. This is the second time I have been there; but the first was several years ago. I had the whole catfish and loved it. 🤘

Most authentic atmosphere possible. Down home like Nana's kitchen! Servers are friendly treat you like family. Mfood might be slower but it is fresh and amazing with good portions. The gator bites and shrimp poppers are amazing! I got the soft shell crab poboy and it was great! Grouper looked great too!

Everything I ordered was as it should be and tasty. The gumbo is a blonde roux with lots of different seafood in it and sausage. It was very good. The only thing that I dinged the food for was that my catfish the crust of fell off of it still extremely good though but I like my crust on it, lol

Excellent anniversary dinner experience! We enjoyed every minute with our amazing server, Isaac. He was so personable and attentive, timing everything perfectly throughout our meal. We ordered the Purveyor old fashions for pre-dinner cocktails, enjoyed the buttery grilled oysters for appetizer and shared the fantastic rack of lamb and blackened cobra entrees. The food was perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned. Hats off to the chef too! Dessert was a delectable chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. The ambience was very nice with dimmed lighting and softly playing music in the background. The single rose in a bud vase was the perfect table decor. Our sweet note was a nice finishing touch. Thank you Isaac! Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here, highly recommend and will definitely return.

One of the more fine dining options in Montgomery, I have put off the trying Vintage Year for a while because I was worried it might not live up to the hype or be worth the money. On a spontaneous date night we went full send with a four course meal and cocktails. Everything was spectacular and the service was top notch. We didn't need a reservation on a Wednesday night. The salad and the filet were both amazing. I hate how much I enjoyed it because I will be back soon, everything was great. Isaac was our server and he's great at his job. Revisited for our anniversary and Joshua took great care of us. Everything was great and worth every cent.

Everything about Vintage Year is absolutely stunning! The decor is classy and not over done, the service is attentive, professional and very knowledgeable and the food is perfectly divine! We started with the Yellowfin Tuna which just melts in your mouth then shared the Passion Fruit Salad which was the daily special salad. It was definitely special, those passion pearls were fun and delicious! Our entrees were just as spectacular as the appetizers! Perfectly cooked filet and sweet buttery crab cakes made the entire meal unforgettable. Definitely worth the visit and will return when we're traveling through again!

Pretty average experience. Lamb chops too fatty amd greasy. Mac N Cheese wash unremarkable. Crab cake appetizer was good. Isaac was my waiter and was great!

Really enjoyed our meal here! Would love to come back. Husband chose the restaurant for date night and I initially was nervous because I’m pregnant and picky now. But I liked my duck, the waiter suggested I get it “well done”, I’d like to come back and try it the chefs way. Well done was a bit tougher than I like. The cake was amazing! They also had a watermelon mint mocktail and I really appreciated that! As an appetizer we had the oysters, I honestly could have had more, maybe after I have this baby. The atmosphere is very “downtown” they have indoor and outdoor dining. Also a large party room. The wait staff is helpful and attentive.

While reservations are recommended, our group of 4 out of towners was seated promptly without one. The food overall had wonderful flavor minus a touch of seasoning. My only complaint was that I found the root vegetables (carrots with the scallops and sweet potatoes with the salad) to be cooked inconsistently. While some were the perfect consistency others felt a little undercooked. Other than that, the cocktails, charcuterie with cheese, scallops, and strawberry olive oil short cake were all lovely. Additonally, our server was attentive and ensured we were well taken care of even as the restaurant filled up.This place is a hidden gem in an area that seems to be lacking fine dining options.

It was such a cool place, it was a long weekend and I just wanted something lite, went with the chili. It was spicy (I'm not into spice), if you like spice, then you'd love it. The husband had a wrap and enjoyed it. The chips and sausage as an appetizer was delicious

Service was amazing. Food on the hand was not so good Mac n cheese is a boxed tasteless noodles Wings are not smoked or really fried. They are not seasoned and the drizzle of sauce or the sauce on the side do any for them. The chicken on that salad had no taste. Rib tips were good French fries had no seasoning but tasted good with salt and pepper.

Dreamland BBQ is the perfect spot for comfort food done right. The BBQ is absolutely delicious—especially the pulled pork burger, which was excellent, and the stew, which was rich and tasty. Every dish feels hearty and satisfying. The service is excellent, with staff who are attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back, creating the kind of place where you just want to relax and enjoy great food with friends or family. Overall, a fantastic experience—great food, great service, and great vibes. Highly recommend!

My wife and I recently dined at Dreamland Barbecue in downtown Montgomery, Alabama, and our experience was nothing short of delightful! From the moment we walked in, the mouthwatering aroma of southern barbecue enveloped us, setting the perfect tone for our meal. Our attentive server guided us through the menu with ease, and we ultimately decided on “the Big Daddy Barbecue Sandwich + the works.” My wife opted for the pork, while I chose the chicken, and both sandwiches were absolutely delicious! I must admit mine was a bit messy, but the flavor made every bite worthwhile. The lively atmosphere, combined with a touch of historical flair, made our visit even more enjoyable. A wonderful surprise came when an employee named JJ, who was not our server, approached us with her warm personality and helpfulness. Her exceptional customer service truly enhanced our experience. Plenty of selections for appetizers, meats, and sides. I got the ribs & sausage. Sauce available on the side. I'm typically picky in that area and it was a big hit. Unsweetened iced tea and a side of banana pudding topped it off real nice. Good friendly people throughout. Fun atmosphere but not too loud to be overstimulating. I absolutely would come here again.

Stopped by this place on our travels back to Ohio. We got a half rack and a combo 3 meats with sausage, chicken, and burnt tips. It was all amazing. The bbq sauce is amazing, and the rub they are using. They make in-house chips that are amazing, too. The only miss is the white bread. Would like to see corn bread instead. Whether you love bbq or not, this is a can not miss place!!!

This place could be a vibe. It was packed for Saturday night. I sat at the bar 🍸 Eric was on point with the service . The roasted wing was on point, and the fried pickles were not chips but slices. The adult drinks were good, too. The sweet tea had a bad aftertaste. I would definitely recommend

I've been craving wings and cold beer for a couple of weeks. I'm from out of town and luckily, this place was close to our hotel. The wings hit the spot. I ordered 14 Caribbean Jerk wings and fries. I pounded everything down plus 3 beers. If I lived here, I could see myself hanging out here regularly. Lots of TV's and it has a cool atmosphere. The bartender was cool too. Overall good vibes. The place was clean and so were the restrooms, so you can pretty much count on the kitchen being clean too.

Came out for dinner and really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. The NBA draft was on, and they aren't lacking in the TV department!! There's plenty of TVs to keep you entertained and table space for large parties. I wasn't too surprised that you could order a large platter of wings, considering the vibe of the place. They get really crowded on weekends, but I cane during a weekday. I enjoyed the drinks, and although I can't recall our waitress' name, she was very attentive🫶🏾 I had a burger with fries. I believe that burger came with a fried egg or I had to request they it come with one, either way, it was so good and my guest ordered the platter of wings. We left full, satisfied, and entertained. Will definitely stop by again. It makes a good hangout spot for drinks!

Stopped in while traveling for lunch. Nice sports bar. Burgers were very good and chicken wrap was ok. Wasn't a fan of the sauce provided. Chips, salsa and queso were good.

Baumhower’s is always a great place to eat and good vibes. For an appetizer, my son had the gooey fries, and I had the mozzarella squares, which were very tasty and hot. The server got sat a party of seven, I began to start having doubts on our Entrées. She could’ve gotten a $20 tip instead of a $7 tip, if my Entrée was hot instead of being lukewarm. And when I mentioned it to the server, she offered nothing. I had the pot roast (my favorite) which has been always great previously My son had mild wings. I hope to get a hotter entrée next time but, it was great to see Luther still general managing…….

The wings were of good size, saucy, and were tasty. A few of them had broken bones in them - the bone marrow had come out into the meat. The service was really good, solid, nice, quick. It was the best part of the experience. The atmosphere was fine, just a typical bar and grill, nothing exceptional or wrong with it.

Absolutely great food. For a place of this size to serve as many people as they do the food was really good. I had the brisket, baked beans and Mac and cheese and my wife had the nachos. Excellent.

Worst service I have experienced in a long time. The restaurant was mostly empty yet it took 15 minutes to get a table for six. They said it was due to a lack of servers, yet it was Saturday night, which should be the busiest night of the week. After being seated we never got silverware and the silverware we were giving was plastic from a bag. Server never gave us more biscuits. Messed up our drink order multiple times and gave someone chicken that ordered fish. Had to call the server over multiple times to get things right. Finally, the food was OK. I got the Southern Burger with Mac and Cheese. McDonald's has better burgers and the Mac and Cheese was mediocre. No real reason to eat here. I ate here 2 years ago and had a much better experience.

It was our first time eating here. We shared the Mr. Jim’s Combo Plate (Turkey & Brisket). It was sooo delicious. Crystal was our server. She was excellent. We’ll definitely be back. Edit: We went back a second time. Photo shown. The pulled chicken wasn’t the best…It had a lot of fat in it. Everything else was great.

We had the privilege of getting an amazing team member caterer our event. It was outstanding! Michelle went above and beyond to provide not only friendly and kind service to our guest but so accommodating with all that the event threw her way. The absolute best! Good evening, I just want to say how very upset and highly disappointed with Jim n Nicks on Atlanta Hwy in Montgomery Alabama I am tonight. I placed an order through UBER EATS for a whole chicken with twos sides of bake beans and one side of Mac and cheese with four devil eggs and they let someone pick up my order without confirming that it was pick up. As I’m watching the app to see who is getting my order, I realize that another person was approaching the restaurant. At this point I’m thinking they just cooking the food still and the first driver was just tired of waiting. Well I was wrong because I then called the store to find out the first driver already picked up the order but didn’t confirm it. WOW. How you let the food walk out the store and don’t have the dasher to confirm the order. As I try to contact UBER I receive an automated message saying they no longer accept calls and to contact the store. By this time another driver is on the way to get the food but guess what, there’s no food because the first driver already picked it up and by the way I still don’t have my food. So I call the store back and ask to speak with the manager about the situation. The manger on duty that I spoke with “ Furious” like the movie fast and the furious heard me out said he understood what happen he SEE my order and agreed to remake it. Cool I appreciate and so I head to the store because he said it would take about 20 minutes to re make it. I’m driving all happy like okay the driver took the food never delivered it but he agreed to remake it being that he see my order. Right…. Wrong 😑…. I goes in the restaurant and ask for the manger that I spoke with and he say we remade it but you have to pay for it …. Huh 🤔 I was like but I just spoke with you. He proceeds to say the order was cancelled so since it was cancelled I would have to pay for it. At this point I’m livid because I didn’t cancel the order I was driving to the restaurant just to still leave with no food ….. moral of the story don’t order food off uber eats from nowhere because someone might ride off with your food next.

I ordered take out. When I picked up my order, I checked it and was missing sides for one of the meals. When I went back in, they gave me the sides, but after I got home I realized I was missing the cheese biscuits and the combo platter did not have any sauce either on the meat or on the side. Also, I ordered pickles with everything except a pulled pork sandwich and….the sandwich was the ONLY item that had pickles on it. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, however, I felt like I needed to do something and didn’t want to drive back to the restaurant. The food was good, but my order was wrong and missing items. Maybe if you eat in you may have a better experience. It also makes me mad that I gave a tip when I ordered. If you order, check and double check your order. But, this kind of takes the convenience out of take out.

Great service and good food! We're celebrating our oldest son 17th birthday here and we are enjoying everything. I couldn't wait to do a review after we leave had to do one now while I'm here sitting at the table. We will be back and like others we looked at the reviews before we came and let's just say glad we decided to give this place a try.

Decided to check this restaurant out while I was visiting in Montgomery, AL, and I will have to say... this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been in to in the South (so far...🤠). The waiters were nice and attentive even with the large Sunday crowd. The food was delicious AND seasoned, and the drinks were nice, strong, and large! The combo lunch deals give you a great variety of options for a great price! The next time I'm in town, I'll definitely be back!

Back with another daughter/dad food discussion. So i recently took my daughter to this restaurant because two of my favorite Mexican restaurants closed permanently and I wanted to find somewhere else that would be a good spot. I looked at the google reviews before going and just thought to give it a try. I got the chicken quesadillas w/beans and rice. She got the steak quesadilla. I also got a margarita to go with my meal and I must say it’s a 10/10 for me. My daughter said it was a 9/10 for her cause she said she didn’t think the steak was seasoned enough. I tried a piece of her streak and I didn’t see anything wrong with it. Overall this place is a restaurant that I would go back to and I definitely recommend for folks to go check it out.

Met some friends for dinner tonight and was able to walk in and get a table. The service staff were very nice and prompt and checked on our drinks regularly. The food was good and had good size portions. I plan to come back😁

This is such a great restraunt for food but also they have good customer service. Especially Chelsea. I been a regular for many years now, i come at least once a week normally. I get chkn chimichanga or chkn hard tacos & cheezedip. All the staff is quite accommodating & good at what they do, but especially Chelsea, u can tell she has that leader kinda energy, very confident & outgoin attitude. She takes realy good care of her customers so i just wanted to get on here and leave a review. She represents this place well w a nice smile and always has a positive attitude so i just really apretiate this restraunts food quality as well as the top notch staff like Chelsea. Anyways foods awesome its why i keep comin back but i just wanted to mention how this place is pretty consistent most of the time w food quality & service

Soooooo Yummy 😋 My first time at this restaurant. I Ordered take out Online and that was a pleasant experience itself. My food was ready on time. They gave me all the toppings on the side. One is a cheese sause and it’s so good. The portions was large. So very much worth the money. They have a new customer with me and my family. Steak and chicken chimichanga w/added veggies… . Double rice and I didn’t want beans. They also gave me a bag of chips and salsa. Everything was yummy 🤤 😋

Visiting from out of town and stopped here for lunch. Definitely knew I needed to have some gumbo while in the south and I enjoyed this place. I normally love raw oysters, but decided to switch it up this time and get Rockefeller. Pretty good. Finished that up with a shrimp po boy and cup of gumbo. I love the interior with plenty of eclectic doodads and knick-knacks covering the walls, comical anecdotes, and local “trivia”. Cool little spot, definitely worth the visit. Southern hospitality is present here, they’ll make you feel welcome.

We were sat quickly but we waited about 15min before our server showed up. I will say that once she did, she was very friendly. I would have scored the food better but for the price point, the oysters were tiny. I had the surf and turf. My ribeye steak was decent but the grilled shrimp was slightly over cooked. My girlfriend had the Seafood Alfredo and it was 5 star in flavor but the seafood was tiny and the portions were a bit small. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I'd spend my money there again.

This was my first time to visit Wintzell's in Montgomery. My youngest has been before and she really wanted some fried green tomatoes. We were seated very fast and our server, whose name was Faith, was excellent. I had lots of questions and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and when she described the sauce that came with the tomatoes was like a crawfish gravy with mushrooms I was not sure so she put it on the side and it was delicious. The fried pickle basket was large enough to share with a large party but was also good and we brought the rest home for the rest of the family. The oyster dinner was good although the fries could have been crispier but I know I'm a harsh critic with potatoes 🤣 The decorations around the establishment were very well done and at first a little overwhelming but we found ourselves reading the walls and all the various sayings that were put up and made a game out of it. It was very warm and inviting and filled up very fast but Faith checked on us regularly kept our strawberry lemonades full and made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience and I look forward to coming back to other things on the menu 😁

Oh Wintzell’s, I wish you were as good as I remembered you. Honestly, service was so slow. Oysters I think overcooked while waiting to be brought out. However, we were so grateful by the time our food actually arrived we dare not complain nor ask for anything else. Just time to pay and go. Food was edible, but questionable if it was worth it. Could tell server was doing the best she could, but definitely overwhelmed.

The staff here were extremely friendly and attentive, loved that! I will say that I think the oysters are overpriced for what they are. They weren’t great (but not bad), they are local to Alabama which was nice. Drinks are reasonably priced. The blackened tacos were really good though! Would highly recommend those and the fried pickles.

I was visiting montgomery on an Artist residency and several people told me to try this place for great seafood. I went with a group of about 10 people at 830 pm after an event,, they close at 9pm. They chose to accept us as guests but we received subpar service. Several of us were missing parts of our orders and my frief red snapper was raw on the inside. They made no concessions to fix our orders, just an immediate offer to take the missing or uncooked items off or bill because the kitchen was now closed. Not to mention the manager never came out to apologize for my raw fish that probably would have made me sick. I won't go back and I won't recommend to others. But montgomery overall is a cool city!

Recently visited here for my birthday dinner. I heard rave reviews of this restaurant from so many others, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed! Merylis, our server, was attentive to our needs and personable! The food was absolutely delicious! I'd give 10 stars if I could!! I will be back!!

I enjoyed this restaurant on my birthday. The place was clean relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. The waiter, Brandon, and the host were so friendly. We will make this our new go to place to eat maybe once a month. If you can figure out how to get to it 😁..you won't be disappointed!

The customer service and the ambiance are amazing. I've included pictures to get a feel for the vibe. There is a separate bar area with seating. I went with a large party and they took great care of us. Our food came out fast and hot. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. They did not take reservations. We showed up about 30 minutes before they opened to ensure we got tables. The steaks are very tender and succulent. I would like to see some different options for seasoning. Be sure to leave room for desert. I enjoyed the Reeces peanut butter pie. I also heard the cheesecake is phenomenal.

Tried several food items over the span of a week since it's close to the holiday inn next door. Their soups are very good. She crab soup is creamy and tasty. The gumbo is spicy and has great flavor. The reeses peanut butter pie is really extravagant and tasty. Everything else falls a bit short. The chopped steak isn't very good. The gravy is jarringly salty. The sauteed crab claws has excessive wine that wasn't cooked out properly. Good flavor despite that though although the price is extremely steep for just crab claws. Overall a mixed bag of quality items and disappointing items but a good experience.

First time here and I will say the food wasn’t bad at all. The steak was cooked perfect just as I ordered it. The loaded potatoe was good. But now I was disappointed with my salad. Now you guys can do better with that salad. It’s literally nothing but spring mix salad and a few crotons. There was no cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. I know for a fact the prepping of salad is simple and inexpensive in the restaraunt business. Please do better with the salad. I was surprised when the salad came. I’ve never seen a salad so naked. I forgot to mention the roll. That roll had no taste and it was hard as a rock. The steak tips and rice were awesome. The chopped steak wasn’t bad either other than we though it was steak tips and rice but it was basically hamburger steak. Overall everything was good but that salad need major improvement. I forgot to mention the crab claws. $40 for a half pound is overpriced. They were good but not $40 for a half pound good.

This place has a cool vibe, especially for a pub. The service was exceptional from the hostess to the waitress. The appetizer was new to me, very tasty. I forget the name of I. Unfortunately, not only was the main course lacking, but my stomach didn't agree, (and I've got an iron stomach). I opted for their Mediterranean style steak, their house specialty. It was hard to taste the flavor because of how much thyme was used. It came with a lime forward, oily type chimichurri dip. That saved the meal. I also got the green beans, but they were gray and dead looking. If they up the menu, this place will crush it.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The steak was incredibly tasty and juicy, cooked exactly the way I like it. This was our first time trying Indian cuisine and it did not disappoint!!! The curry chicken, okra & onions, and rice were delicious! Oh, let me not forget the garlic naan!!!! Yummy and Fresh! The young lady at the register and our waiter were so nice and patient with us! They made great recommendations and even checked in periodically to make sure we didn't have any complaints! My little one really enjoyed the mango juice, chicken nuggets and fries! She even gave a thumbs up 👍 Please give them a try. Be open-minded!!! Its worth the experience!

Saw the great reviews and stopped in for the lunch buffet. Very nice selection for a buffet, prices were ok, food was tasty. It was a buffet though, will have to go back and order from the menu to get items I like cooked to order. Update: I have to come back to update this review. The place has been renovated. The buffet is no more. The food is absolutely the best. My wife and I now have this spot in heavy rotation with the new changes. Have not had a dish that we do not absolutely love. Large variety, and the flavors are unbelievable. Well worth a try!

India Palace is a great spot for a date night or casual dining. Any day at 5pm is perfect with no wait time. The Chicken Saag was amazing, Garlic Naan bread fired in a clay oven and don’t forget the sweet dumplings for dessert. Chai was amazing too. We will be back! And under $50!

Tried this place yesterday! Got a chicken biriyani and a lamb biriyani which were both delicious. Tried another spot a couple days back which was too spicy but this place hit just right ! Wait time took longer than expected and the seating for people eating inside looked too open with less privacy but think they had another section. I’d recommend trying this spot ! A little expensive but it’s still good.

If you are wanting Indian food, this is the place to go. Delicious, great sized portions, and overall great service! I had the lamb vindaloo and garlic naan and was delicious, would order again!

Had the thali for lunch which is a great way to try a little bit of several different dishes. I've been here multiple times and honestly never had a bad meal. Today I was served by Gurpinder and despite being the only waitstaff we were served quickly and never ran out of water.

I love this place! Great spot for casual dining / hanging outside / live music. Family friendly. I do wish there were more vegetarian options, but they at least offer several vegetarian (and delicious) dips as well as a cheese pizza.

This restaurant is a Montgomery tradition and renowned by locals for great food and service for a reasonable value. No reservations on weekends so plan accordingly. Everything on the menu is good but I like their onion rings, crab claws and West Indies salad for appetizers. I favor their Steaks and seafood for entrees. Their green salad is fresh The kids menu is one of the best in MGM for quality and value.

Great little find. Was just driving through Montgomery and looking for something new. My wife had the smash burger, I had the crawfish pork sausage and the Hummus dish with veggies. Also, I had one of the best old fashions I've ever had. Server promised me i wouldn'tbe disappointed, He wasn't wrong. Tap beer selection was on point, wasn't over run by the social media craze ipas, seltzers, and sours. Actuallyhad some good beers. The atmosphere was fun and inviting with a great outdoor area. Overall fun place with plenty of food, wine, cocktail and beer options that's also kid, pet friendly.

I have always enjoyed tipping point and tonight was great. The service was great and even the owners were out waiting tables and taking care of their customers. I had a Brooklyn bap sandwich and that was delicious. A drink and a couple shots. It was quiet and personal the way I like my bars. Go for food and have some drinks it's a great place to start a night out.

Horrible service sat down at the outside bar with me and my wife. The bartender was standing right there didn’t ask us if we wanted something to drink or place an order just walked off. Didn’t come back for 15 minutes. Walked into Main bar got two beers came back and sat there. He walked over closes out a tab then walks off never came back for 30 minutes. I asked for the owner. It was an old lady. She said she was the owner, but she didn’t act like one she just kept saying they were understaffed I said what does that have to do with a bartender at the point of contact with the customer asking them would they like to place an order or get a drink? She was very unapologetic. I told her if she was in Orlando, where I live. I have a house here as well. She wouldn’t be in business. The only reason she is because there’s nowhere else to go with Montgomery.. But having said that we went to the taco bar and the sushi box and had great service. This place sucks! She post saying we’re understaffed and don’t expect good service…

Great atmosphere, great beer selection, great service! The beers they carry are delicious and varied. The menu isn't robust, but the three things we had were all top notch. Don't let the simplicity turn you away. Definitely recommend the Phil Pretzel. Definitely recommend the hummus. Amanda was great. We'll be back!

Have tried this place multiple times and each time the service has been well below average … we kept trying to give it another chance, but it seems that there needs to be a very in depth customer service training for this staff. No one checking in on customers. No one coming to take your order. Multiple people around us asking if we have had anyone help us both inside and outside because no one helped them. Standing for 25+ minutes waiting to close a tab right at the bar and can’t get anyone to close us out. Food was good the one time we actually were able to get someone to take our order. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will try this spot again.

Great local pub. Several local and unique beers on tap.Props to Marcus for putting up with our crew and answering a million questions. Classy, laid back vibes, with no annoying blaring televisions, just classic Motown and classic RnB 60s-90s.

I'm not as young as I once was so I don't go out drinking often. That said I have been a fan of LeRoy since it has opened. There are some creative cocktails and a good beer selection. Fans are clutch outside and the graffiti adds to the touches I like.

Leroy is my fav local bar. Great vibes, amazing Old Fashions and Palomas. The bar staff are super cool, as tonight it was Sierra and Alex.

Great drinks and excellent beer selection. The old fashioned was stellar. Beer was great. Atmosphere is divey but welcoming. The Drink Your Destiny is a cool novelty to choose a cocktail if you are unsure. Service is good and the bartender was super friendly and helpful. Be sure to eat at El Reys before or after, or both.

Best bar in Montgomery, awesome bartenders. Enjoy a large selection of draft beers along with an array of bottled beers. The best Old Fashioned you can get in the area. When you are hungry head down the alley to El Rey.

Updated review: we will absolutely not come here again. The inconsistency is unacceptable at this point! We placed a togo order and most of it was wrong. Asked for sauce on the side, they put it on. Asked for asparagus, they gave green beans. Asked for bread, they didn’t put it in the bag. Brussels sprouts needed to be cooked longer. I’m highly disappointed and angry. I’ve waited all day to eat after a busy day, just for my order to be wrong. These meals aren’t cheap and reading is fundamental! Although we come here often, there seems to always be a problem with our check. The food is really good but not great. I would say the best in area. The drinks are the reason we come. Strong and tasty. The happy hour has a nice select of both food and drinks. What I like most is the rewards system. It’s nice to be given in return after so many visits. I always like that they offer different specials every week. The staff is always kind and helpful. Great place for girls, date or family night.

The food was DELICIOUS!! The waitress was amazing and made our visit very pleasant! Management was attentive and made sure each of us had a remarkable experience by pulling other team members to help our large group! I will DEFINITELY go back whenever I am in Montgomery.

I have traveled to Montgomery for business recently and decided to give this a try. I have typically always been very satisfied with my meal when dining here. On this particular weeknight, I arrived around 5:30, and the dining area was mostly empty. I was told there would be a 45 minute wait, I would need to go to the bar. I really get irritated when restaurants try to push single people to the bar as their only option. I went and waited forever for the bartender to come and take my drink order. I asked for water, that did not come, just the glass of wine. I ordered a salad, still no water, 2nd request. I ordered the special which was a coconut shrimp with a risotto. My water finally arrived, at the same time my entree. When the dish arrived, the risotto looked the consistency of oatmeal with pineapple bits in it. It was truly awful! I usually don’t send things back but I did that side, it was inedible. The coconut shrimp at least was edible, but nearly overcooked. To charge the prices you are, this should be better than Red Lobster, but I would compare the meal to the same quality, which is a shame, this location needs to do better. Where’s the manager? Where’s the person overseeing what’s coming out of the kitchen? The owner should be embarrassed by what’s coming out of this kitchen. I will not be returning here when traveling back to Montgomery. If you’re thinking seafood, there is a much better option in town with truly fresh seafood to get the quality for your money, trust me, go there, not here. Also, I REALLY hope I don’t receive their automated response about how elated they are I enjoyed my experience. Sadly, there’s no one local even reading these.

I had an amazing experience at Bonefish Grill in Montgomery, AL on 8/9/25. My family and I came here for our family reunion dinner, and everything from start to finish was outstanding. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Our server, Christalyn, was absolutely amazing—professional, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed. Cameron, the manager, went above and beyond to facilitate our entire experience and ensure our large party was well taken care of. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly, which we truly appreciated. The drinks were top-tier—beautifully made and delicious. This location provided the perfect atmosphere for our special night, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service, great food, and a welcoming environment.

My family and I ate dinner here to close out the most fun filled day for our reunion. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was great but the service was OUTSTANDING! The manager, Cameron was very attentive with making sure everyone had their food brought out timely. Our waitress Christalyn was over the top in her prompt response to the request of our family concerning our food orders. I could tell that this restaurant had Top Notch management because their team of employees worked very well together. My family and I were VERY IMPRESSED! Thank you Cameron, you and your team rocked!

We decided to sit outside, however the host forgot to tell someone we were outside. My food was cold and the server had it remade. My fries took a long time to come. Our waiter was really nice but he was doing 3 people's jobs. We felt bad for him.

Randomly in town and found this spot. Food was bomb! Service was great! Peach margarita was 10/10! Nachos could feed 3! Multiple tasty salsas. Entrance a bit hidden with trees but they have a funky light arrow situation by the entrance.

I had a very different experience than most reviewers. First, the atmosphere is great. I loved the shady outside area to include koi fish, although there was an annoyingly loud outside fan. Second, our service was great in that it was fast and responsive. However, they brought out our main course when we had barely started on our appetizer, which meant our food was going to get cold. Our waitress said she would remake the food, which seemed highly wasteful and made me feel guilty. I’m not sure if she actually did remake it or if she just set it under a hot light. Unless a customer asks for items to be served together, it is terrible service to bring them this way. Finally, maybe it is because I grew up in Texas, but I don’t see this food as anything authentic or high end or even that great. The queso sounded good on paper but it had a weird texture and was more cheddary than queso blanco. The fajitas were also quite boring. Fajita meat should consist of skirt steak. The tortillas were also quite meh.

I visited El Rey yesterday before an event that was in the area. There was over an hour wait for the first available table but I got lucky and was able to grab two seats at the bar within 5 minutes. They serve one of the best margaritas I have ever had and they have a great drink menu. I ordered 2 street tacos, chips and queso and my only complaint was that I told them that I was allergic to onions and asked to make sure none would be included with my meal. They had onions in their pico de Gallo and were going to leave that off but forgot. It was a busy night so I just dealt with it and the sweet potato street taco was fabulous. I would not have waited an hour so I am glad I was able to sit at the bar, this is definitely one of the better places to eat in Montgomery.

Fantastic, healthy meal. I was attracted to the fact that they have both tofu and tempeh as protein options. I ordered the Platter with tempeh and it was so good and healthy. It came with sweet potatoes, black beans, rice and guacamole. Yum!! Look how great it looks in that picture.

A staple of Old Cloverdale, the burrito lounge is a unique but high end take on Tex Mex. Lots of great drinks, and flavors. The rustic outdoor seating can be great at the right times but can occasionally disappoint depending on weather and lighting. This explains the flash needed to photograph my plate. Glad it's been successful for as long as it has and wish then many many more years

We had some fantastic food last weekend. Burrito, a mix of tacos, roasted corn, a mix of chips and dips, margaritas, and tres leches cake!! The bartender knows their stuff and everything was seasoned very well. My favorite was actually the sweet potato taco. It's so good and the goat cheese is a nice addition. Service was also really good as well.

I love this place. Great vibe, always awesome service. They have a great beer selection. The food is good. The wait can get pretty crazy on the weekend and with large SOS parties. The reliability of a good place with good food and good service in Montgomery can be a challenge, but El Rey pulls it off. Keep up the good work, guys.

I had a wonderful first time experience today for lunch! Since I’m a truck driver and have to deliver at Sam’s Club in the morning, I looked for some place that was not the everyday food choice and an so glad I found Jan’s Beach House Grill! I was greeted by a delightful smell of Coconut/ beach smell and great food and was seated by a sweet lady and she said she hoped I hadn’t been waiting long. I went into the restroom first to wash my hands before I sat down, and told her that. That decorations and flamingos and beach themed obviously and very tasteful. I was told before I got here that they were closing soon, ( a car dealership made an offer the owners couldn’t refuse) so they would be busy. I came in around 1pm for lunch and indeed they were busy, which means the food is great!!! Right away I noticed the great prices!! I’m sure that’s one of the big draws here!!!! SUPER SERVER Josh greeted me and got my drink order back to me quickly and then I asked him what his favorites were. ( I almost always ask my servers that question) I ordered the grilled fish ( grouper ) fingers and Josh’s favorites green beans and green fried tomatoes!! Within just a few minutes, he returned with my meal exactly as ordered and let me tell you!!!! The grilled fish was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of lemon pepper and the green beans served in a monkey dish were awesome too but the 3 THICK FRIED GREEN TOMATOES were the BOMB!! The best I’ve ever had!! Seasoned and breaded perfectly again, and because they were thick, I could taste the green in the tomato, and the seasoning weren’t to thick that it over powered and it stayed On when I cut it half!!! Deliciousness all around! I wish I lived closer and glad I could make it here . Found out that they’re not closing until APRIL ‘25 because the demolition company is so busy right now!! Good for all the regular patrons of Jan’s in Montgomery!! I’m sure they’re going to be missed!!

This was the best restaurant experience I've had in a very long time if not ever. Absolutely everything was top notch. The food was amazing, the service was on point, and the atmosphere was 11/10. Live music on a Thursday was a 2 man team of skilled musicians very honed in their craft and wise enough to operate at an appropriate volume. A sign on the door mentioned something that implies the building owner may be looking to sell or some other something that threatens their lease.. We are just passersby but we want this place to thrive so others can continue to participate in the greatness that this place is. May good fortune and grace find its way to make that happen.

This was the best find! We were heading back to Chattanooga from a trip to the Gulf and wanted something different than the usual fast food stops. Jan’s is perfect! The food is excellent and the grilled grouper fingers basket was exceptional. They don’t precook fish, it goes on the grill or in the fryer when you order it, so they were able to lower the salt to meet my low-sodium diet. The home-cooked sides were mouth watering and the price was affordable. Our server Marie was sweet, quick and helpful. We sat next to Sam, a local who has been a Jan’s regular for 15 years. He had great menu recommendations and made us feel at home. The kitschy flamingo decor is fun, too. As far from a chain restaurant look as you can get. This will be a must-stop for future trips through Montgomery.

My daughter and I eat at this restaurant today. It was packed full of local people. This is always a good sign. The food was fantastic. Our server Virginia was amazing. Such a fantastic server. She was really friendly. My daughter was nervous about taking her civil test today and she really put my daughter‘s mind at Rest. Really appreciate it.. Virginia went above and beyond what is expected as a server food was amazing.

Fried fish and sweet and spicy shrimp are great. Good food and service. Eat here whenever I get a chance.

Pleasantly surprised!! We were just hoping for some decent seafood. What we got was some beautiful, freshly fried grouper fingers with several fantastic country sides and a bakery worthy dessert! The sweet wattress girl that helped us was so kind and friendly. We will be back when we are down this way again!

I just had the Beach burger 🍔 😋 and fries for lunch. The service was excellent and my burger was cooked perfectly. I love it when I get asked how I'd like my burger cooked. You know it's going to be fresh.

The bar offers a nice atmosphere and the service is amazing. Had to take a star (and a half) because the drinks are good, but pricing is a bit high. It is a hotel bar in the downtown area, so I suppose it is to be expected.

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Upon arrival, I was very impressed because the restaurant was clean and it has a nice ambiance. The service was very slow. Our server Adisha had little interaction with us, she didn't ask us if we liked the food, and it took her forever to get our payment once she delivered the check. I think she has the potential to be good but customer service training is needed. My burger was cold and it wasn't fully cooked😡😣 She didn't make a fuss about it, she took it off without a problem. Instead of paying $18 here for a cheeseburger and fries we should've just gone to Five Guys. Going out to eat is just not the same anymore.

The website states opening hours is 4, but they don't open till 4:30. We were told we could pick a table outside and the server would come out and wipe the table down, and she would bring us water. After waiting a while, we decided we would probably get quicker service inside. So we went in and sat at the bar. As I sat down, I notice sticky stains on the bar. As they had just opened, I guess that was left over from the night besfore. We ordered cheese sticks to start. When we received our order, the cheese sticks were not cooked enough. They were cold and the cheese was not melted. Also, the marinara sauce was cold. I would not go back, especially at their prices. Considering this place is part of the Renaissance hotel, I expected more.

Worst experience ever! Bartenders need serious training on customer service. Not smart to allow money to walk out the door! I think his name was Stevenson, what a jerk! Totally ignored me for several minutes goofing off with his friends at the bar. Didn’t acknowledge me until I got up to leave and trust to ask me was I good? Will never be back to this bar EVER!

The Aviator Bar is an awesome bar. It is as much an aviation museum as it is a bar. As you enter, you are in the actual bar section, but as you continue to walk the building, you find many cove-like areas that are sectioned off like little rooms that are social areas with chairs, couches and coffee tables. The areas are stuffed full of aviation books, manuals, pictures, and a mega amount of memorabilia. The building is adorned with a huge collection of various models of all types of aircraft. It is an amazing collection of art and memorabilia. The bar is hosted by friendly and easy on the eye, quality bartendresses. Service is quick and professional. Food is not served here. They have a wide variety of libations to quench your thirst. The night we visited was karaoke night with a good crowd, but not an overwhelming amount of people. This place is fun, educational, and interesting. If you are an aviator or just love aviation, it is the place to visit. A good time was had by all!

As an aviation enthusiast I loved this bar..It was 2 additional bars in the back so plenty of room and options to hang out with different vibes… This place is iconic and historic I loved my visit

Where do I start, me and 2 of my colleagues are in Alabama from Canada to work for 2 weeks and decided we wanted to try out Aviator because it looked like it had a cool decor of old war memorabilia , when we arrived K.C greeted us with a smile and great conversation, treated us like royalty and took good care of us, we even got him to punch the punching bag game in the back with us. Gave us some tips about where is good to eat and we couldn't have had a better time because of him. Thanks K.C You are the best!

I think it was Monday night I witnessed the bartender verbally attack a customer. The customer was a young lady who had 3 drinks in her. The bar tender kept asking her if she had her phone over and over. She finally told him not to worry about her phone. He then verbally assaulted her and tried to embarrass her in front of her friend. He even mocked her for giving a homeless guy cigarettes. For me, bartenders need more self control and they need to be a source of comfort and safety. I wouldn't spend a dime on a drink with that guy there. I would like to manager to investigate this.

To the little girl “working” the bar on 9/15/25- you need to learn customer service 101. We came in. There was ONE person at the we bar. We were immediately ignored because some guy brought in pizza. Then a couple came in and sat at the end of the bar where she proceeded to serve them first then chit chatted THEN ignored us again for someone else’s order. We waited so long we just left. Completely rude and pathetic “service”. I’ve never had to leave a bar where I couldn’t get service with literally 3 people at the bar.

Micheal was great! I had the best experience for my first visit. Wanted somewhere nice to ask my bestie to be my MOH for my wedding! The mocato he brought out for a sample was so good I got us the whole bottle. The short rib Alfredo 10/10 . The Gnocchi 10/10. Shirmp scampi dip 10/10 . Will definitely be back for sure .

Delicious!! I got the shrimp scampi dip, a salad wedge, and the sausage gnocchi dish. Everything was absolutely delicious. Staff are so friendly and attentive. The decor is classy. Would absolutely go there again. I think the pricing was definitely competitive...the food was worth it. It was so fresh and well made.

Wanted to check out a wine bar once we had a long day drive. Taste had great options for small plates so we could sample each others. Nice wine flight options and staff were knowledgeable on the wines. It was quite so we enjoyed talking with staff. Would recommend trying a flight and the steak sliders were great! If ever in the area, we would go back!

The food was delicious with impeccable service. Very nice atmosphere with the exception of one patron that was passionately discussing her family drama and for some reason thought everyone would like to know. (Oh the language). We received our food quickly and it was seasoned to perfection. My husband and I each had an appetizer, small plate, and entree. My favorite was the crab cake & fried green tomato and the filet.

Great atmosphere! We had reservations for a special downtown event. They had a special drink, it was terrible and all 5 of ours was inconsistent in taste. 5 of the 6 ordered the “loaded baked potato” which it was not. It was just a buttered baked potato. Our server never came back to check or even fill our water. They were ill prepared for the downtown event. It was my second time to give them a try, and my last. It’s such a great venue but lacking in food quality, service and bartending.

The food was amazing. Although, I thought this was an upscale dining type place especially with it being in Hampstead - the general vibe of the place was odd while we were there. The kitchen staff were blaring what seemed like a YouTube video or movie and yelling about lesbians just being very loud. At one point a man came from the back wearing what looked like leggings…. Our waiter was great. The food was very good. I am just thrown off by the overall atmosphere as it was feeling more like a fast food restaurant rather than a place with a $54 steak.

The experience was nice. The health score was 89, which is low for me. I didn't see it because it wasn't posted on the wall. It was propped up behind the counter. The lemon drop martini was a 5/10.

Came here for work lunch and did the hibachi lunch menu. Went with the shrimp hibachi with rice and vegetables. The rice portion was huge and I chose not to eat it all, vegetable portion was average but was disappointed with only receiving 6 shrimp. I guess that’s their lunch portion consists of but would have been nice to have a couple more. Service was reasonably quick and staff was friendly. For lunch, you are looking with drink and before tip about $15 to $20 per person. If I was over this way more often, it may be a place I would visit but since I’m not close by, I wouldn’t be able to visit often.

Wonderful restaurant. Great food and service. Really good cocktails and the plum wine is really good. We got the Roll Tide sushi and black Angus steak hibachi. The food was delicious. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and professional

We went right around 1:45 or 2 and they were so eager to get us out of there. The chef was clearly unhappy to be serving us. My kids and I went to the restroom when we were finished and when we came out all the lights were off and the employees had their keys in hand waiting for us to leave. I know they were eager to get out there, but it was just unprofessional and made us not want to return. Just sharing our experience.

I have eaten here a few times. The staff is friendly and answers any questions you have. I have only ordered to go and it is ready within 20 minutes. The food is always fresh and hot. They give you a good portion size for the price. Their onion soup is best I've had at any Japanese restaurant. Their regular steak is ok but a little dry. The filet is better, but I still think they could get better cuts of filet and add a little more flavor to it. The vegetables are always cooked well.

I've visited this place 3 times in 1 month. I love the Hibachi Salmon. That's my go-to, along with sushi! I've sat in front of the Hibachi Grill, which is entertaining. I noticed that they add gratuity automatically when you sit there. I've also sat in the regular dining area. Love the variety of adult drinks to choose from as well! The only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars, they use a lot of oil and a LOT of butter on the food. I love the food, but I won't be coming too often because of that reason alone. It'll have to serve as a treat of an outing. My arteries need a little break😅 Other than that, CHEF'S KISS! 😙🤌🏾

Me and my wife have gone here since we first starting dating over fourteen years ago. The owner has always taken care of us and the restaurant looks great for it's age. I love the adult drinks and the staff. It's my first choice for hibachi style dining in Montgomery although I prefer the dining room over the grill. My favorite ginger dressing in town also and it's great with the steak.

This place has a vibe Montgomery is thirsty for. The patio is serene, the drinks are delicious and the service is personal. Try it out ... you may be their new regular.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Openly friendly environment, without judgment. I really appreciate Mindel informing me as well as others about the different alcohols and where they're from. Nice little bar with a great outdoor seating area.

I had a Moscow mule which was awesome. I loved the ambiance and option to play old school games. The prices were reasonable. Chris was the bartender while I was there He was personable, kind and easy to talk to. Drinks are not watered down. I'm from Columbus but the next time I'm in Montgomery I will visit this bar again.

KRU is a great place to chill and have a good drink. There's always a good vibe and wonderful people to meet.

Best bar in Montgomery by a mile. Mendel is an amazing bar owner. The atmosphere, drinks, art, and the patrons are all top notch. The patio and the inside are both so great, you’ll find yourself not knowing where to enjoy your time there.

What was once one of the hottest bars in town is now sort of an average night out. A lot of the things that made it unique are now an after thought. It is attached to Aviator and Commerce Beer works and this means that because CBW sometimes has live music you pay a cover to get in no matter which bar you're drinking at. Often one of the three bars is packed and the other two are not. It also tends to leave it's area of the alley littered with cigarettes. If you have never been by all means check it out.

Not my favorite of Mike's bars but pretty good. In my top 10 for sure.

Nice place with friendly and quick service. It was pretty empty for a Friday night, tho. It's a pretty big space with the front and back halves divided. The front is just a bar with some tables. The back half has a stage for a live band and a couple of Cornhole boards.

The music is terrible, and the drinks are okay. Every so often it has it's nights but usually it's pretty boring. If you're looking for fun, this is not the bar for you. But if you just want to sit down and buy slightly overpriced drinks, then this is the bar for you. I hate to say it but racism still exists. One night I had to wait like 30 minutes before I got served. One of the bartenders looked me dead in the face while I had money in my hand trying to get his attention. He served everybody other race except me. I had to wait for another guy to finally come and decide to serve me. Some of the bartenders are nice though, and some are just rude.

Awesome atmosphere and surprisingly modern. Amazing Bar and staff, they agreed to let my university’s association of former students put on a Yell Practice before we BTHO Auburn the next day. Good drinks and even better conversation.

Hot, humid, and long times to get drinks. Also, the ice bar has not been in operation the past couple years I've been there. Owner, please make sure the ice bar is operational during major events when Joan brings her 100 person crew to the Alley every August.

The service was okay, at best...until the waitress served everyone a drink, with the exception of mine. It was brought to her attention that she didn't give me my ordered drink...wasn't aware of her audience...very bad trait for a waitress to have. Next, it was hella hot inside the bar, #1 during hot days and evenings, especially when you are providing a service to someone, YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR GUEST SWEATING IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT! not good...empty...the music was ok....no energy throughout the bar. May drink was good

A Wonderful New Orleans Style Atmosphere With Music, Fun People, And Some Awesome Smelling Food From Every Corner. If You Want To Stroll In A Nice Comfortable Scenery, This Is The Area To Come Too.

What a great collection of restaurants and entertainment all in one place. We had a great time with plenty to see and do since we were in the heart of downtown. So much is within walking distance.

I've always loved this place! When I've eaten here, the food has been good, for a good value... Lots of "traditional" meat and three's. Personally, I've never had an issue with the service. Typically,service was TOO good. Servers and bar tenders would have my drinks ready just as I was finishing my last. Due to a move east, I'm no longer a "regular", but whenever I get a free night in "The Gump", Rock Bottom is ALWAYS my favorite hang out spot!

Terrible service. We had a large party of about 8-10 the place was pretty empty but the host said that a lot of the tables were full so we went to the bar to wait for the rest of our party and grab drinks while she figured it out. The host sat back down and didn't get us a table we had to go get her and tell her again. Then once we were seated they made the bartender that was serving us at the bar come out from behind the bar to our table to be our server when they had multiple servers available. It took us an hour to get our food and one of our guest burger was burnt. The atmosphere was good though and the bartender was awesome she did such a great job even though the place is ran poorly. I would recommend it as a bar but if you want food and service I recommend going elsewhere.

The rockin dee's wing sauce is amazing. The atmosphere is really fun. They have live music here too. Not many places in montgomery do. The salads are really good too, but make sure you've got plenty of belly space as the portions are big. Almost every time I have gone we've had to go plates and the food was even better the second time around

Been here twice, thought the first time might have been a fluke. Food is average at best. That'd be ok if the customer service was decent. Waitresses are, as a whole, short tempered and reluctant to resolve issues that arose with our group, let alone answer basic questions. Have an NFL package but can't show every game due to linked tv's. Truly a "Rock Bottom" experience

Food was average but 3 of the wait staff that I talked to seemed either incredibly stupid or they were on drugs. I'm assuming drugs or drunk. No one can be that dumb.

Add on TV ....it would help you all to give an address. I just seen another commercial #2 and again no location. I did look it up and found it. I was shocked it's right in the middle of the bypass... you would think it was in the middle of the woods and needed a pass to get in. Anyway, I really think it was a big mistake not to include your address in your commercials.

Don't expect the waitresses to be able to tell you what local brews they carry. The answer to my question was 'the taps are over there' and pointed across the restaurant.

You may not think of Montgomery AL as Jazz club territory, but Jazz at the Sous La Terre isn't your ordinary Jazz Club. Located below Lasalla Blue, The Sous La Terre serves food that is a notch above the typical jazz club -- you won't regret going to this club. The club opens at 11pm Friday and Saturday only the band starts playing at 1am. The guys have been playing together for over 50 years and play a large verity of music.

It was evening when we came upon The Pubic House in Montgomery, Alabama—though time seemed to blur there, the way it does when stories are being told and the glass is half-full and the hush of the day’s end gives way to something looser, livelier. The sun had bowed its head behind the city’s shoulder, and we stepped into that dim, golden light that bars wear like memory—where wood and whiskey speak louder than clocks ever could. Inside, the air was thick with old songs and good laughter. Brick walls that held heat and history, floors that had felt the weight of boots and dancing alike. It was not polished or prim, no. It was lived in, the way a favorite novel is—thumbed and dog-eared and rich with the fingerprints of nights that had mattered. The drinks were poured like sermons—measured, steady, full of truth. A pint here, a cocktail there, maybe something neat to mark the kind of night that needed no reason. The bartender didn’t serve, he delivered, with the ease of someone who’d heard it all and still chose to listen. You felt known before you gave your name. And the food—God, the food came hot and honest. Burgers stacked with defiance, fries that crackled when they landed, plates that didn’t aim for pretty but landed right in the soul. It's probably one of my new favorite places! Very calm atmosphere, exceptional service, friendly/helpful staff, delicious coffee! They have outdoor and indoor seating. I ordered the Cookie Butter Latte and a peanut butter cookie (both were delicious). My friends ordered a cheddar jalapeno biscuit and a lemon poppy seed muffin (they're go-to favorites). Update: I've been a few times since my first review and this place always wins! Today I ordered the pecan pie latte (10/10!!) and had a colorful blueberry bagel.

A Hidden Gem in Montgomery – Hiltop Coffee I’ve lived in Montgomery for 25 years, and I can’t believe this is my first time at Hiltop Coffee! The coffee is absolutely delicious, and the cozy seating inside creates a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a bit hidden, so many might not know it’s here—even though it’s been open for three years! Every true coffee lover in Montgomery should give this place a visit. So glad I discovered it. Thank you, Hiltop Coffee!

Hilltop has been a "Go-to" place to have a nice pint or cup of coffee, but as of late, the atmosphere hasn't been as good as it was before. Mornings to afternoons to evenings before 7PM are really good with a good crews of baristas/bartenders. The drinks are always top-notch and the pastries are worth the trip. Unfortunately, the late evenings (especially Thursdays) are not highly recommended if you want to relax with a pint or two. Music played is cranked up like you're in college frat party with people having to shout to be heard/understood.

Yummy Latte, Chill Atmosphere, Friendly Staff We recently moved to the Gump, and I've been looking for great coffee shops. I came here for a meeting, and it was great. I'm not a big coffee drinker and asked the barista what to get. He told me to get their seasonal special, which was delicious!

This place is very eclectic, random decor and also has like 5 bikes for sale 🤔. Staff was great, friendly and professional. Coffee was just ok, I had an iced mocha and the espresso taste very burnt. The cafe itself has an old building smell (which I’m sure it is) just not very pleasant.

Good ambience for coffee, wine, or cocktails. It’s a great place to meetup with friends. It has ample seating inside, I saw a few laptops opened. It’s dog friendly too. Everything is reasonably priced. Stop by if you are near The National Memorial for Peace and Justice museum, that’s how we found this true hidden gem.

Welcoming, mellow, reasonable prices. I've been at least three times. Twice I've been allowed to do karaoke and story telling even before they started it officially. It was just spur of the moment. I didn't have to beg either. I was telling the bartender what I would like to do there at some point. She'd never heard me sing or anything before but she asked me if I wanted to give it a shot then. Of course I accepted. It went over well. I really enjoyed it. Now I see it's karaoke on Thursdays, I can't wait 🤗

Cool bar with a professional bartender and unique drinks. Go after 9pm and it will have a decent little crowd. Casual but classy. - Update: I’ve been in a couple more times, and both times there were super drunk dudes in there, and it was just a little trashy feeling. Too bad, because it is a cool place with good service and drinks.

love coming here, the owner, Tara is an excellent mixologist and so kind. the space is indeed very stately…an inviting hole in the wall right down the street from the fountain downtown. they have jazz nights on Mondays which are pretty dope and i think more concerts will be happening here soon…pretty exciting!

After a boring day trying to find something interesting in Montgomery I found this place. The entrance has a collection of books. The bartender was nice and the service was incredible and music was just amazing. I'll be right back and spend my money here

A new contender for something fun and new in downtown Montgomery. Still in its infancy, there is a lot of potential to be had here. The cocktails are great, the vibe has a "speakeasy" feel to it, and the owner is just getting started, expecting to bring live music and up-and-coming comedy acts to the venue. The ladies behind the counter provided service that was exceptional, courteous, and fun. Looking forward to coming back in the future for more twists on local libations!
