The Egyptian mummy and old jewelry section were among our favourites and it was amazing to see how well everything is preserved and displayed. The entry ticket is quite reasonable for the experience you get and you can even take a combined ticket if you plan to visit other monuments in Jaipur. The museum is well maintained, clean and informative, perfect for families and anyone interested in history and art. We spent about 1.5 to 2 hours exploring the exhibits and it was truly worth it. Beautiful royal experience! The City Palace is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of history, art, and architecture. The view of Lake Pichola from the palace is breathtaking, especially around sunset. The museum is well maintained with lots of royal artefacts and detailed information about the Mewar dynasty. The place is clean, organized, and the staff are polite. Definitely a must-visit spot in Udaipur if you love heritage and photography. Tip: Visit early morning to avoid crowds and enjoy peaceful exploration.

I came to the City Palace expecting much more for various reasons. First, because being the city palace I was expecting to see some parts of the palace, and second because the reviews were great about this place. So let me explained my experience. First things first, many people are posting here reviews of the city palace with picture of Hawa Mahal, which is the palace of winds, not the city palace, so some people might get confused. I have also seen pictures of Amber Fort here when it is 20 minute away from the city palace. Secondly, the ticket price is very high for what you can see. I am talking about my experience buying the tickets online. When you buy the tickets for a 1000 rupies you are left to believe you can access the palace too (unless that is how it is sold on the website). But when you come to the palace, and you wander around the courtyard and museums you don't get to access any of the beautiful rooms this palace is known for. I so asked at the ticket office and they told me to actually see some of the palace rooms I had to pay another 5000 thousand rupies. I totally understand it is the city palace and the royal family lives there, but I think that is a step price, and the worst part is when you buy the tickets is not clear at all. In the end, I only saw the courtyard with beautiful doors because the whole experience was dissapointing. I don't think the 1000 rupies are justify for what you see in my opinion.

One of the highlights of my visit was the Mubarak Mahal, which now houses a museum displaying royal costumes, turbans, and exquisite textiles. The fine craftsmanship and embroidery work were simply mesmerizing. Moving ahead, I entered the Chandra Mahal, a seven-storeyed building that still serves as the residence of the royal family. Each floor has its own charm, with beautiful paintings, mirror work, and delicate floral decorations. The view of Jaipur city from its balconies was breathtaking. The Peacock Gate, adorned with stunning motifs representing the seasons, stood out as one of the most photographed spots in the palace. I also visited the Diwan-i-Khas and Diwan-i-Aam, where the rulers once met their ministers and subjects. The giant silver urns displayed there, said to be the largest in the world, were truly fascinating. Jantar Mantar in Agra is one of the five astronomical observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the 18th century. It was designed to study the movement of celestial bodies and measure time with great accuracy. Made of stone and marble, the observatory contains several large instruments used for astronomical calculations, such as predicting eclipses and tracking stars and planets. Though smaller than the Jantar Mantars in Delhi and Jaipur, the Agra observatory reflects the scientific knowledge and architectural skill of its time. We visited City Palace in Jaipur today and it was brilliant. We booked the tickets online at foreigner tickets rate INR1100 and went in around 4.30pm. The palace's architecture is very unique to this part of the world and it's very colourful and photogenic. There are many areas we could have visited but most were closed off due to an event in the evening. However we managed to experience the Palace and also get a sneak peak into how a wedding at this venue will look. Highly recommended venue to visit.

The royal tour is Rs. 4000 per person. No pre bookings required. Ticket counter opens at 9:30 AM. Guide recommended for best history knacks and perfect photographs.

It’s one of the best places preserve in there original form to visit and find the vibrant culture and heritage of Jaipur kings . The family of the royals still live there in a part of the building . Its architectural and beauty can’t be described in words . It’s very popular with tourist from India and abroad all the time . They have the very welcoming customer service and one can find the tour guide that will explain and show all parts of the palace . I will recommend to get the tour guide as it’s so helpful to know some facts and information that one can’t know even though they are from Jaipur . It’s very easy to find the place and most of the people in Jaipur would tell you how much they love this place as not only every one is proud from its history and location .

I really enjoyed learning about the art of block printing, the museum is beautifully curated with detailed explanations, historical pieces, and live demonstrations. One thing to note: during my visit, an artisan demonstrating woodblock printing gestured for a tip after showing us his work. We didn’t have any cash with us at the time, and he seemed a bit upset, saying something in Hindi that we didn’t understand. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it might be helpful for visitors to know in advance that tipping may be expected. That said, the overall experience was enriching and well worth a visit if you’re in Jaipur and want to explore local craftsmanship in a peaceful setting.

The Anokhi Museum is a well known gem in Amber! The block printing demo was fascinating, and the hands-on class made it even better. I loved trying the traditional printing myself, it is so much more difficult than it looks. The staff and teacher was kind and patient, and I left with a real appreciation for this beautiful Rajasthani Indian art form. A must-visit if you want a creative and cultural experience near Amber Fort! Cultural immersion at its best.

This museum is a beautiful little gem in a stunning old building. If you love textiles and the history and making of the textiles, then this place is for you. Check the hours as they are not open everyday. At the time of this review entry fee was 80 rupees.

This 16th-century Rajput haveli mansion, built into the perimeter walls, holds a strategic location by the Kheri Gate, reflecting its importance in the fortified town. Its original owner was likely a distinguished military leader who secured this area. However, when Raja Jai Singh moved his court to the new walled-city of Jaipur in 1727, the local population dwindled, and the town fell into decline. After lying empty for over 400 years, the haveli was rescued from ruin when John Singh, a founder of Anokhi, purchased the property in 1989 and embarked on a four-year restoration project with architects Nimish Patel and Parul Zaveri of Abhikram. Together, they demonstrated that traditional building methods, implemented by local craftsmen, could be a cost-effective means of preservation. This outstanding restoration effort earned the haveli a UNESCO award for Cultural Conservation in 2000, celebrating the power of collaborative preservation efforts. ----------- The Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing was founded by Rachel Bracken-Singh and her husband Pritam Singh. The restored haveli was later converted into a museum showcasing hand block printing, with ongoing research and refinement of museum practices. One of the most interesting museums I've been to. It's not a big fancy place, but if you're genuinely interested in the history of textiles, this is a great spot. Entry fee is cheap (even for tourists), there are interactive workshops and the gift shop has some cool handmade items that aren't super overpriced.

Anokhi Museum is one of the best places to learn the art of hand-block printing. Less crowded and peaceful where you can learn a lot about the history of hand block tools, and the use of natural dyes and witness the live hand block printing by the artisans. However, I didn't like the way artisans asked for money, even though we had plans to tip them. The ticket charges are 80Rs per person. There is also a cafe outside the museum.

This is a small hidden gem, located midway between Birla Mandir and Albert hall museum (on right side as you walk). Local people also know this by name of “Gudiyaghar”. It is part of a school, and easy to miss. There is a small board painted on the wall. Very nice collection and Most of the local people are not aware of this. Ticket cost 10 Rs. Nice collection of dolls from all over the world. Worth a visit. This is a less visited place as I had hardly seen anyone when I visited . It has good collection of dolls from most of the countries , highlighting local rituals, costumes and giving glimpse of the local culture of these countries. They have special section for super hero dolls as well consisting of Hulk, Captain America, Spider man, super man. The entry price for the museum is merely Rs 10 for Indian citizens. Doll House located in the heart of Jaipur city has recently undergone a beautiful makeover. Located close to the Birla Temple, the doll house offers an interesting array of doll exhibits from around the world and also covers all the states in India and dolls wearing specific regional attire. A lot of effort and goodwill has gone in setting up this place Entry was 5Rs for adults and free for kids. There is a school for children with hearing and speech difficulties and the museum seems to accept donations. (the counter was un manned when we were leaving) overall a bright place to go to Doll House. It's only closed on the Wednesday.

The doll museum has a small but good collection of dolls from all over the world, It's a tiny museum with two rooms that's attached to a school for underprivileged children. When we went there were no visitors there and the guard told us that after covid there aren't many visitors. My friend and I laughed out loud at some dolls but some were really sophisticated like Hinamatsuri from japan. I wish the collection would grow bigger by people donating to the museum

A small museum few of them are donated by some individuals. Around 500 dolls at the most. Unfortunately it is not kept well due to paucity of funds I assume. The doll enclosures have lots of dust. Since itnis in the premises of Deaf and Dumb school the gates are always closed and no prominent signages. A small entry fee of Rs.20/- per person at the counter.

It's a one time watch place...but a really good collection...when we visited no crowd was there....hardly in 40-45min we covered both halls... the washroom was cleaned... We enjoyed it...

Cute place to visit every time you are in Jaipur. Right in middle of a buzzing market. Be it day or night 🌙 there is always something to look forward to. In the night you can't get entry in to the Hawa Mahal but you can have a great view of the facade. It will be lit for stunning visual. I visited here after few years. Now it is slightly renovated with fresh paint and tinted glasses. Tip for photographers : Carry a wide angle lens to frame the monument, as the street is narrow to get a full view. Or turn the wide angle lens in your phone.

To be very true the building is good and the restaurant inside is really beautiful and the food is too good but the fairs like sales and all are very cheap and costly too yet being outdated .

The Jai Vilas Palace, built in a fusion of tribal and European styles, offers a peek into the royal heritage of the region and is set against a beautiful hilly backdrop. Jawhar is also rich in tribal culture, especially that of the Warli tribe, known for their iconic Warli art. We were lucky to interact with some local artisans and witness them create intricate pieces—something truly memorable and unique to the region. Despite being a smaller town, we found clean, comfortable homestays and eco-resorts, along with simple yet hearty Maharashtrian food served with warmth. The locals are welcoming and always ready to share stories about their town, making the experience all the more authentic. Whether you’re looking to unwind in nature, explore offbeat trails, or experience tribal culture up close, Jawhar offers all of this without the touristy chaos. It’s peaceful, picturesque, and has a distinct charm of its own. We left Jawhar feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning a return trip. It's an amazing place for artist, (it's a governmental place, so no resistance for visiting), it has a library which is paid, else mostly visiting is public, you can go visit, enjoy alone vibe, people with different culture & mind, and a public area vibe u will get. Jaipur Wax Museum & Sheesh Mahal, Nahargarh — A Major Disappointment The Jaipur Wax Museum and adjoining Sheesh Mahal were both huge letdowns. The wax statues barely resemble the real-life personalities they’re meant to depict, stripping away the essence of what should’ve been a captivating experience. The entire visit takes barely ten minutes — from entry to exit — and feels rushed and underwhelming. To make matters worse, photography is strictly prohibited in both attractions. It’s baffling — what’s the point of creating an “experience” if visitors can’t even capture a memory of it? The Sheesh Mahal itself is confined to a small 10ft by 10ft room, which hardly does justice to the grandeur its name suggests. Overall, a below-average and forgettable visit. I wouldn’t recommend either of these places unless you’re keen on spending your hard-earned money on a ten-minute disappointment.

If you have no experience of visiting Other Wax museums and Sish Mahal Previously , then the scenario can be changed..They purposely made this whole thing buzz around like total professionals with advertisements nd all that, as there is absolutely nothing inside to see actually.. Staff behaviour is very very rude, do not know how to speak with tourists ( doing tu - tarak with our colleagues, arguing for photo clicking).. One of the best places in Jaipur to visit - the Jaipur Wax Museum. I went there with my family on weekdays. You can reach there by auto or a cab. You'll need to buy separate tickets for the Wax Museum, Royal Darbar and the Sheesh Mahal at the Nahargarh Fort. In my opinion, it's worth every single rupee. One more thing, you are not allowed to take photographs inside either of these. But you can hire their DSLR guy for taking a bunch of photos. They charged ₹200 for 8 photos. Unfortunately, taking photos in Sheesh Mahal by any means is prohibited. Have a look at these amazing wax statues.

I'll ask some questions to guide you. ​Jaigarh is most famous for housing the Jaivana cannon, which was once the world's largest cannon on wheels.

Jaigarh fort built mainly as protection for amer fort, houses the worlds largest cannon aka jaivan cannon. It looks grand and makes you wonder how was it operated with help of elephants. It also makes you wonder the fate of those who stand at the receiving end of this cannon. Hatsoff to people who built and operated it. The fort also offers some breathtaking views of the hills/city.

Visited Jaigarh Fort in the morning and had an amazing experience! The fort opens at 9 AM, and I’d suggest reaching right at that time — it’s peaceful, less crowded, and the weather is perfect. The view of Amber Palace and Jaipur city from the top is simply breathtaking. The fort is well-maintained and full of history, especially the massive Jaivana cannon which is a must-see. Jaigarh fort is a must visit if you have a historian within you and you need to know extra about the history of Jaipur. Well planned fort again but if you are in a hurry can be skipped. This fort houses the world’s biggest canon, which was hardly used except for testing. You will also like the 40 feet deep tanks which were constructed to store and supply water. Does not take lot of time. You can cover this fort in 45 min.

The premises clearly need more care — broken pathways, litter in corners, and, most disappointingly, the washrooms are in a terrible state. There was no water supply, no lighting and the area emits a foul smell, making it nearly unusable for visitors. Another major concern is the presence of monkeys all around the fort. While they might seem harmless at first, they can create chaos and fear, often trying to snatch food or belongings from tourists. It can be quite unnerving, especially for families with children. visited the Maharaja Sawai Mansingh museum and was impressed with the collections exhibited. The museum is located inside the City Palace in Jaipur and is dedicated to the life and legacy of Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II. The displays were well organized and thoughtfully curated. The museum showcased different aspects of the life of Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II, including his hunting memorabilia, musical instruments, paintings, and photographs of his Coronation ceremony. The museum also included exhibits of the royal family's costumes, jewelry, and furniture, which was impressive. The collection was beautifully displayed, and the exhibits sparkled with their royal grandeur. The audio guide and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, providing insightful information about the exhibits and the history of the museum.

At the entrance they trick you by telling that you get complimentary photo from city palace and hand over a ticket which you are supposed to give at the exit and they'll give you print, but IT'S ALL BLUFF, nothing is complimentary you have to pay for your picture print or digital copy. Incredible place to see Indian palace of past and modern time. Beautiful architecture is really masterpiece of all time! Discover the life style of royal family. Highly recommend to visit if you are in Rajasthan. Possible to make beautiful photos in different areas of museum/palace. Possible to join private guide who will be able to show most of the areas in the building, make photos and explain all facts and history of the area.

*A visit to Gyan Museum at Jaipur - a hidden gem to visit* As we were landing into Jaipur airport I had my Google Map ON and powered by GPS, I was seeing the approach at Jaipur Airport.. A place near the Airport GYAN MUSEUM came up and it intrigued me and I checked the website after landing.. It was a museum housing hundreds of artifacts collected by Shri Gyan Chand Dadha (Jain), which was his private collection, now opened for public viewing after his death, as allowed by his sons, as a homage for their Dad. Visit is by invitation only and we can request a viewing after sending them an email and after getting a confirmation back from the curators, who like to restrict the number of people who could visit, at the same time. I emailed them requesting for a booking, however I got no reply in the 1 hr of sending it, being lunch time. I was close to the museum area and had a little time on hand and hence decided to reach unannounced and hoped we would manage to get a viewing, as we were unsure of the visit there on the following day. We got lucky and the curators let us have a viewing. The visit was everything as promised on the museum website and the artifacts on display were marvelous pieces collected by Gyanji during his lifetime from various places and sources. His collection, 1st started with 2 silver Hookah mouth pieces which were gifted to him on his 16th birthday. He thereafter collected various Hookah mouth pieces and their base, the largest no of pieces of Hookah which are on display at any museum. This was as informed by the curators. There are a large number of textiles, clothes, specs, watches and clocks, coins from the various periods of history, guns, antique pieces, a library which has a lot of books which pertain to the eras gone by. There were Jain manuscripts and exquisite miniature paintings done with a 0 size paintbrush or with a single/few hairs of a squirrel. The ganjifa cards, originating from Sawantwadi in Maharashtra and also pendants which were fully made and some which were incomplete, as they were missing the hoops, were also on display. I really loved the chess set which had the pieces of both sides made with ruby and emeralds. A book which caught my eye was "30,000 years of Art". The oldest paintings as discovered in India are dated from about 10,000 BCE - old cave paintings at the Udaygiri Caves and at Bhimbhetka in MP. So I really would like to know more about the 30,000 year old Art from across the world. I will look into that in due course, during my travels when possible. Gyanji - a jeweller by profession, had a vast, very exquisite jewellery pieces which were on display, which was from his private and his family collections, bought and collected across the years by him. The Gyan Museum is a lesser known place of visit and I had never heard of it during the more than 20 years of frequent visits to Jaipur, but I am pardoned because this place has opened for public viewing only in the last 10 years during which time my visits to Jaipur were majorly reduced. I highly recommend this as a to-do place to visit and the curators mentioned that they are featured on Trip Advisor as a place to visit while in Jaipur and I fully support that, although I just chanced upon the place by looking on Google Maps. Being away from the main city, and closer to the Jaipur Airport, even then it is a place worth seeing and by spending a few hours visiting while you are in Jaipur. The curators, Nikita and Adib explained the artifacts in great detail and I applaud them as well. A must do during a visit to Jaipur👏🏻👏🏻

It's an exquisite place designed very modernly and showcases the collections of timeless watches, hukkah mouths, miniature paintings, glasses and Jewelry. Not open to masses and entry only by prior appointment. It's a little off the city and curated experiences can be organized for expats and other travelers.

Words fail to express how lucky it felt to be there. The exquisite collection & breathtaking architecture of the place screams love and thoughtfulness at its best. The whole time i was there, i couldn't stop gasping with awe. A must visit if you are passionate about history, legacy expressed through art!

The Gyan Museum is a gem. Nikita Sharma, the Assistant Museum Curator, is a very lovely lady - polite and knowledgeable, explaining each exquisite piece. The museum is beautiful and peaceful, with a stunning art collection and even they have royal jewelry for sale. Book in advance through their website, ideally an hour ahead to avoid disappointment. They usually host one group at a time for a personalized experience.

Really lovely palace which sits right in the middle of the man sagar lake in jaipur. The view of the palace is beautiful with the hills to one side and water all around. Need more maintenance and cleanliness as the water is dirty and needs treatment. Its a pity that common man has no access to the palace. You will be hawked by photographers offering to take snaps in traditional rajasthani dressing. Bargain well if you want to engage their service.

This ramshackle, dusty treasure trove is an extraordinary private collection. It contains folk-art objects and other pieces – there’s everything from a manuscript written by Aurangzeb and a 200-year-old mirror work swing from Bikaner to a glass bed (for a short queen). The museum is signposted off J Nehru Barg. The entire compilation is the result of the hard work of a lifetime of this one man's efforts- Mr. Ram Kirpalu Sharma. Excellent museum with lots of manuscript, weapon and other historical material from all over the world. Shree Sanjay Sharma Museum is one of the remarkable centres of Indian Heritage.

Very interesting and enlightening collection of arts and historical objects from all over India and other Asian countries. Make sure to call and book an appointment first. The owner gave us an very informative tour with many explanations. He is currently working on moving the whole collection to a new and more spacious museum.

It's an amazing place! Its looks like closed house and some new rickshaws and taxis may not know the place , but follow Google maps and reach here. Hardly anyone visits here now, but curator is very good guy who will accompany you and guide u through the museum.if u are interested in indology and inDian ancient history and culture, must visit. It's a private museum! Rs 100 is ticket. There are some rare things to see here! It is open!

Avoid this place. It is a very dusty collection of miscellaneous bits and pieces. Very little explanation, either in the way of labels or from the 'guide', who got bored part way round, and left us with a non English speaking youngster. A very few interesting bits, but at 400 rupees entrance fee for a foreigner, it is a total waste of time and money. Buy a thali instead.

Visited Birla Mandir, Jaipur, and was truly mesmerized by its stunning architecture and serene atmosphere! The in detail carvings, majestic white marble, and beautiful gardens made for a peaceful and spiritual experience. A must-visit for anyone traveling to Jaipur! Garden is well maintained, proper parking facilities. The Laxmi-Narayan murti inside the birla temple is truly mesmerizing, the standing statues of Laxmi, Narayan ji are located inside the main temple building, carved from pure white marble, and adorned with ornate dresses and jewelry. Very well maintained, cleanliness is top notch with great hospitality. 5/5 stars ⭐️

I must say, it was truly a beautiful mandir located in Rajasthan, this was the first place we visited while on our school trip. Upon arrival, it was still evening, and we spent some time exploring the surroundings and doing a bit of side shopping in bazaar near the entrance of the mandir. As the sunset occurred and the lights lit up, the entire ambiance of this place transformed. Gradually, as the evening turned into night, the temple was sparkling and shining with decorative lights, highlighting its highly detailed sculptures and towering spires. We headed towards the main mandir through a single pathway going uphill, which was slightly steep but added to the sense of anticipation. The mandir itself was breathtaking, with its majestic and intricate designs. Despite being a bit crowded, the atmosphere was peaceful and filled with spiritual energy. The gentle hum of devotional chants and the aroma of incense added to the sacred ambiance. It was prohibited to take photos inside the temple for obvious reasons and to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for prayer. The cold breeze during the season and the starry sky above made the experience even more memorable. Very good place to visit if having interest in such fields of collection

It was a sad experience for me, this museum is either temporarily or permanently closed, nobody knows, google said that it was open but nah the gates were locked, we asked neighbors, they said since lockdown no one came here. If you're planning to visit call them once if no one picks up or the number is wrong, chances are it is still closed.(We went there around 11:30 am and it was not Thursday)

Wonderful place for every age group especially for childrens . Very nice collection of seashells are there you can also find a guide there which has a very vast knowledge and he explain things very well . There are two floors full of shells and very fancy jewellery made from it . Ticket price is 50 for adults and 30 for students Situated in very secluded and peaceful area

First and Only of it's kind Museum India.. that only makes it real worthy of one's visit.. situated at Lt. Shaheed Amit Bhardwaj Marg at Malviya Nagar, Jaipur, Alice Garg National Sea Shell Museum is having more than 3000 varieties of Sea shells classified into Rare, Uncommon and Common categories. They have collected these shells from across the globe and preserved them beautifully. The maintenance is really commendable. They also have Live Shells which is worth experiencing for a lifetime memory. The Entry Charges are as follows: Adults - 50/- Students - 30/- Timings 10 AM to 5 PM Thursday Closed. Good place for every age group provides proper knowledge about life of sea creatures and sea shells. It takes around half an hour for the complete visit.

Wonderful experience! There are over 3000 shells to see. It's very nice for family and friends. The guide was very informative and we ended up spending over 2 hours just enjoying the museum. An absolute must visit when you're in Jaipur.

Well what i say about the musuem its just awsome and fantastic basically i dont like museum and all but watching this i am also getting a lots of intrested in it.... you will find amazing old things of jaipur kings here ...... the musuem is neat and clean... i feel amaze here

Finally a really refreshing place.... I visited by accident, I was just contemplating the sun light on its facades from the outside, thinking what a beautiful building, later on I discovered it was a museum and stopped for a while to visit. Of all the Museums I visited during my stay in Rajahstan this place was very beautiful and rich! No entry charge. Photos allowed.

Very unique place .......but not much explore by visitors

We were lucky to be advised to go inside by a government worker who told us about the history of the building and future plans for a restaurant. It's an oasis of calm and beauty away from the madness and dirt! Top class examples of local art, jewellery, textiles and ceramics. Downside was that the employee tried to secure a tip afterwards, tsk!

Amazing artwork and sculptures. Museum started in 2017, and every art, wooden sculpture and stone sculpture is a beauty in itself. They told us they will be adding more to the collection, but a place worth visiting. Would totally recomend to check it out.

A small but nice place to learn how water gets stored in old times. Good place for clicking pics. No entry charge but less parking space. You won't able to get parking in weekends. Kund have lots of turtles and fishes.

Nice place to see when in Jaipur! The geometric architecture is really interesting, and it’s fun to spot the fish and turtles inside 🤣. Not a big thing, but definitely worth a quick stop. You can easily walk there from the Amber Palace — about 15 minutes on foot.

Central Park, Jaipur – A Peaceful Retreat Central Park is a beautiful green escape in the heart of Jaipur. Clean, serene, and refreshing — a must-visit spot for anyone in the Pink City.

The zoo is small with very few animals to see. The cages and the other display articles need to be cleaned and maintained. Some sections were closed so couldn't see the animals there. The peacocks were really beautiful, and one highlight I must say is the pelican cage. Tickets are minimal (₹23 per ticket) there is discount for students but u need an id card for it.

It was not very big but it had a variety of birds like ostrich,flamingo,duck,etc and they were too cute. There were also animals like turtle, crocodile of different varieties,deers os different varieties,etc. Overall it was quite a good experience and i enjoyed going there as it was my first time going to a zoo. If you have less time and you want to visit some places nearby the station you can definitely keep it as an option. Thank you.

Restaurant is costly... unorganised Shoe stand..lack of staff for Care and security. Parking is very difficult out side the temple even for two wheelers, because no specific Parking of Temple.

Very large campus, neat, clean and hygienic. Two beautiful parks with fantastic plants and hedge. It has guest rooms for pilgrims from distant places. Religious kitchen for free meal as Prasad for specific persons. It has many domes. Very precious gem for Indian architecture, very precious intertwined, complex carvings in the statues showing the highest skill in architecture. The statues captivate one's attention and leave startled.

At present, this beautiful and intricate hall displays the artefacts and relics of the past and tourists can enjoy going through them. These artefacts give visitors an idea of the history of Diwan-e-Aam, how it was used as a hall for listening to the grievances of the common people and it now stands as a museum for them to experience its rich past.

Diwan-E- Aam Located in City Palace complex Near Jantar mantar Jalebi Chowk Jaipur Rajasthan. Palace is very beautiful and decorated well maintained. This Palace was used by the ruling kings to listen to the problems of the general public. The hall is devided into various segments including durbars, banquets and an area, It has been turned into a Museum.

Some foul mouthed and uncultured servants in this area completely ruined the experience, and I'm sure others must have experienced the same. Especially the moustached person sitting at the table checking tickets who speaks rudely and loudly to all guests, and even attempts to illegally confiscate private property, along with a younger seemingly uneducated dolt whose job is only to put his lack of culture on display.

Other street food like pav bhaji, dosa, raj kachori, and chaat were also delicious. The vibrant open-air setup makes it fun to walk around and try multiple dishes. During peak hours it can get crowded, but it’s worth the wait for the authentic flavors. Highly recommended for food lovers visiting Jaipur.

We visited Masala Chowk during our trip to Jaipur in September. While the place is well-maintained and offers a wide variety of options, from chaat, lassi, rabri, dal bati churma, kadhi, sabzi, pizza, to ice creams. One thing that felt unusual was the entry fee of ₹13. Though nominal, most food courts across India do not charge an entry fee, which makes it feel a bit unfair. We tried the Dal Bati Churma Thali, which came with dal, two plain batis, one masala bati, a small portion of churma, Rajasthani kadhi, mixed sabzi, and pickle. The batis were nicely done, crisp on the outside and soft inside. The kadhi and pickle stood out with authentic flavors, while the dal was a little on the plain side. The churma carried a strong rose flavor, which might be an acquired taste for some. The Rabri Lassi was mildly tangy and sweet, while the rabri itself was delicious, the lassi could have been thicker for a richer experience. Among all the items we tried, the Pani Puri was the clear winner, absolutely refreshing and worth trying. Pricing is reasonable considering the variety on offer. It’s a self-service setup with clean toilets and wash basins available, and parking is conveniently located right at the entrance (paid street parking). Overall, Masala Chowk is a lively spot to sample different flavors of Jaipur in one place worth a visit, but the entry fee could certainly be reconsidered.

The spiral staircase may feel a bit narrow, but the climb is worth it once you reach the top – the sight of the Pink City’s markets, havelis, and historic monuments from above is simply breathtaking. The architecture reflects a blend of Mughal and Rajput styles, with beautifully designed arches and balconies. It’s less crowded compared to other attractions, making it a peaceful spot for photography and enjoying the cityscape. Visit in the evening around sunset for the best views, and carry a water bottle as the climb can be tiring. Entery fees is 50 rupees per person and kids are free. This monument give a 360° panorama view of the city market of Jaipur,the pacing traffic on road below, hustle and bustle of city, landmarks like hawa mahal, city palace, amer palace etc. All can be viewed from here, boasting the majestic architecture of Jaipur. Laat meaning tower, was designed as an observation tower, small not much of a group hangout point as only 4-5 at max,people can be there at top. Hence entry and exit is monitored closely by a guard. There are no stairs but keep in mind you have to walk up there, pathway is steep, hence to be avoided by old people, toddlers and specially abled person. Also it is about 7 floor height, not the actual length of a straight tower, enough to make you check your heart and joint health though. A must visit place if you crave that bird eye view and gusty wind which greets you at its top. We visited Jhalana Leopard Safari Park and, although we couldn’t spot a leopard this time, the experience was still worth it. The forest looked stunning and full of life after the previous day’s rain — lush green, clean, and peaceful. The safari is done in open gypsies, which adds to the thrill, and the guides are knowledgeable about the local wildlife. Safaris are usually held in the early morning and late afternoon, and it’s best to book your slot online in advance as seats fill up fast. Sometimes it’s not just about the leopard sightings, but about soaking in the beauty of the jungle — and Jhalana truly offers that.

My experience was beyond expectations. Our guide and the driver both were excellent. They understood our needs and planned everything accordingly. They knew exactly where to go, how long one needs to wait including paths of leopard movement. The park is exceptionally beautiful and one of the must visits if you are a leopard enthusiast.

My first-ever monsoon visit to Jhalana was truly unforgettable. I was eager to witness the lush green jungle during the rains, and the experience exceeded all expectations — thanks to the impeccable planning and arrangements by Mr. C.P. Siani ji. He is undoubtedly one of the finest naturalists and drivers in Jhalana, with deep knowledge of the forest and an exceptional understanding of photography angles — making every sighting count. We were lucky to witness some incredible moments, including memorable leopard sightings and a variety of beautiful bird species. But the real highlight was spotting four hyenas in the Amagarh Leopard Reserve — an experience I’ll always cherish! I highly recommend planning your Jhalana trip with Mr. Siani ji if you truly want to make the most of your visit.

I always skipped watching movies in this cinema, as they usually showcase family dramas and all mushy movies. This time my friend forced me into it, watched Malik here, the theater is all upgraded in sound and video quality. Loved the traditional sitting arrangement of Dress Circle, Balcony, and Box. The price is on the costlier side, but maybe it is because it is more of a tourist destination than a cinema. They have a locker (cloakroom) facility, which is very helpful for people who are there for shopping.

The sound and picture quality were excellent, and the staff was polite and well-organized. The theatre also maintains good hygiene and cleanliness despite heavy crowds. Outside, there are several food stalls and restaurants where you can grab snacks before or after the show. The ticket prices are reasonable considering the overall royal experience. A great temple, faith of Jaipurites. Every day large crowds visit. Many Jhaki organised daily..A heart touching Aarti. Total spiritual atmosphere. Very difficult to control crowd. Special Laddu in packet pack can be purchased. Since Last 5 years or so Ladoo making given on outsourcing, after that comprise in taste, quality and price. Parking problem exists largely..many times laps in security and safety is point of concern. Some concrete change need to apply.

Ramniwas Bagh in Jaipur is a pleasant spot for relaxation and exploring nature. The well-maintained gardens, historic significance, and peaceful ambiance make it a worthwhile visit. The park offers ample space for leisurely walks, family picnics, and photography. However, I was a bit surprised by the entry fee.

Ramniwash bagh is tha beautiful park near Albert-Hall Actually the real beauty of this garden is the beautiful view of Albert hall. You can walk in the garden. For kids there is no play zone here but there is a zoo here, so the visit to the zoo for kids is best when you take your kids here.

In this theatre, Polaroid based stereo projection creates three dimensional effect. The show gives an immersive experience with the help of special Polaroid spectacles. Dino Park This is a prehistoric park with dinosaurs of different era are present along with the flora of Mesozoic era. These display are supported with information regarding their size, weight body construction along with food habits and their life span.

Such a great place with sophisticated ornaments on the ceiling. At the top of the column, the abacus shows elephants head with water lily at the tip of their trunks. Very beautiful details. The downside was the way they refurbished the space, including the rest of Amber Fort. They add the lighting to be integrated in the surface, however, this means the original surface was damaged in this process. There are ways to add lighting elements while conserving the original details.

The Hall of Public Audience ​The Diwan-e-Aam, or Hall of Public Audience, at Amer Fort, served as the main public court for the Maharaja. This grand, open-sided hall was where the ruler would listen to the petitions of his subjects and address public matters. It symbolizes the accessibility of the king to his people, a crucial aspect of Rajput rule. Architecturally, the hall is a testament to the blend of Rajput and Mughal styles. It is supported by a series of exquisite double-row columns, each topped with a capital featuring intricate elephant motifs. These columns, made of red sandstone, create a striking visual pattern and support the flat roof, while the ornate carvings and subtle designs add to its regal ambiance. ​The space was a bustling center of social and political life. From here, the king would hold court, conduct official business, and receive foreign dignitaries. The Diwan-e-Aam's design allowed for a direct connection between the ruler and the common people, embodying a tradition of transparency and justice that was central to the kingdom's governance.

Diwan-e-Aam is the Hall of Public Audience in the second courtyard of Amer fort. It is a open pavilion with 64 columns, outer 48 double pillars are in red sandstone & the inner 16 single pillars in marble masonry. It was built by Raja Man Singh I (1589-1614). The king would meet his subjects & officials here. Celebrations after a victory in a battle, Dussehra & the kings birthday were held here. Sawai Ram Singh II(1835-80) converted the rear portion of the hall into billiards room. South of Diwani-i am is the interesting Sattais Kacheri(Toshakhana) It is a arched colonnade of 27 pillars which housed the Secretariat from where administration of Amber was carried out.

Amer Fort (or Amber Fort) is one of the most magnificent and grand places I’ve ever visited in Jaipur. This majestic fort perfectly captures the royal spirit of Rajasthan with its stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and breathtaking views of the surrounding Aravalli Hills. Built by Raja Man Singh I in the 16th century, the fort is a beautiful blend of Hindu and Mughal design — every courtyard, gate, and hall has its own charm. As soon as you reach the entrance, the size and scale of the fort leave you speechless. The Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) is the most stunning part — its walls and ceilings are decorated with tiny mirrors that sparkle beautifully when light hits them. The Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and Ganesh Pol Gate are also must-sees for their detailed artwork and grand design. The view from the top is incredible — you can see Maota Lake reflecting the fort below, making it a perfect spot for photography. I highly recommend hiring a local guide; they explain the fort’s rich history and the stories behind each section in an engaging way, which makes the experience much more meaningful. You can reach the fort either by walking, jeep, or an electric cart from the parking area. The pathways are steep but manageable. Visiting early in the morning or late afternoon helps you avoid crowds and gives you softer light for pictures. The fort is well-maintained and clean, with rest areas and water available. Overall, Amer Fort is a masterpiece of Rajput architecture — grand, beautiful, and filled with history. If you’re in Jaipur, this is an absolute must-visit and a perfect place to witness the royal heritage of Rajasthan.

The fort is really well built and belongs to Raja Mansingh. There are 3 parts to the fort built by 3 different people. It would be advisable to take a govt guide there. There are fixed rates for them. We had a guide named Shailendra he was really well versed and explained concepts in a fun manner. Moreover took number of photos of us during the trip. He also taking into consideration seniority of the group members ensured we had water along with us and also explained in shade wherever possible. It is to be noted that you won't find artefacts as such within the palace but at some places you can see the olden gyesar system, the vessels in which they cooked, the water vessel etc. In general the place is spread out and one needs someone to explain it. There is a lot of history into it but the presence of hawkers and goods sellers has made it very commercial. If one is not interested in history or is not willing to take a guide it's not worth a visit and just looks like a picnic spot. Some of the interesting aspects of the Fort 1) Sheesh Mahal It is no longer open to public and can be admired from afar. 2) Deewaro ke Kaan There is a room where whispering from one corner can be heard in another corner (do observe it, quite interesting) 3) Temple The temple closes by 4 so ensure you reach much before it's closure to witness it's beauty. Unfortunately we weren't able to see the same. 4) Great views You will observe some great views from the fort do have a mobile or camera handy to catch some good snaps.

This palace is worth visiting while staying in Jaipur. I would highly recommend you visit this palace and fort. It is one of the best sites to visit in Jaipur. It takes approximately 2 hours to visit all of you want to take your time. It gets quite warm when inside the palace and climbing to the palace. You can buy tickets online for 500 Rupees per person. You can get a Tuk Tuk there and back also without the need to hire a car.

Amer Fort is one of the most stunning historical places in Jaipur. The architecture, views, and royal vibe of this fort are just incredible. From the grand entrance to the top view of Maota Lake, everything looks picture perfect. It’s clean, well-maintained, and full of Rajasthani culture. The light and sound show in the evening is worth watching too. A must visit place for anyone exploring Jaipur or Rajasthan’s royal heritage.

Amber Fort is grand and historically impressive, but the visit can be tiring due to long walks and steep pathways, especially in the heat. The architecture and views are beautiful, but there are limited shaded areas and very few resting spots. It’s worth seeing, but be prepared with water, comfortable shoes, and maybe visit early in the morning to avoid the harsh sun. The fort is amazing, but the overall experience could be more visitor-friendly.

We visited Amber Palace today and it was amazing. The building of the walls of the fort along the Aravalli hills at that height is in itself a huge task and building a beautiful palace overlooking the lake goes on to demonstrate how earlier generations were more advanced than us in their knack for architecture. The palace can be accessed by multiple gates with the climb from the Sun gate being the hardest while access from the moon gate is easier if you're driving up. We booked the tickets online for INR500 and access was easy. Highly recommend visiting the Sheesh Mahal with its intricate mirrored walls and ceilings and also the overwatch areas for the stunning views of the area.

Visiting Jantar Mantar in Jaipur with my classmates was honestly one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The moment we entered, we were completely amazed by the massive stone instruments and how the increase it's geometry looked, it’s quite hard to believe that these structures were built centuries ago with such precision and accuracy that was reviewed recently. Our teachers explained how each instrument, especially the huge sundial, could measure time and track celestial movements so accurately. Although they couldn't really explain to such a vast amount of students verbally so they had us sit in a separate room and watch the slide show presentation of it all. It blew our minds to think that ancient astronomers could achieve all this without any modern technology. As we walked around, my friends and I couldn’t stop taking pictures. We kept guessing what each structure was used for before the guide told us the real answer which made it even more fun. The whole place had this fascinating energy, like stepping back in time and exploring a scientific wonder from another era. The site itself was very well maintained, with clear signs even on a side mandir which told us to remove footwears if had any 😊.Beyond the science, the architecture was equally captivating, it truly felt like an open air museum. After exploring, we grabbed some snacks at a nearby cafe and chatted about how brilliant Maharaja Jai Singh and ancient Indians must have been. Overall, visiting the Jantar Mantar was the perfect mix of learning, history, and fun with friends.
